I love the raised open air dance floor! The drinks are great, staff is attentive! Just watch out for the slippery stairs if it rains! Love the line ups, lighting, and sound system too!

For me is the best Techno Club in France 🇫🇷 The sound is incredible, and the DJs are also wonderful (specially in Secret Society Parties on Sundays) 😊 Moreover, the ambience is quite cool, their values are also really nice and the staff is amazing 💜 As a girl I've always felt safe, they offer cup covers in the bar and its amazing to see the cool vibe that everyone has.

Great club with great staff. At all times i felt safe and knowing who to reach in case of an uncomfortable moment. As a woman, I really recommend this club. Music is great and the space is cool.

If your are a foreigner or tourist, do NOT go to this club. They will assume you are drunk because you cannot speak their language. There are two security guards that refuse to give a reason or speak to us, a woman about 1m67 brown hair and a bald man, obviously insecure about his height. They instructed us to buy 4 tickets and then refused entry. They grabbed my phone out of my hand and threatened to attack me if I didn’t delete a video of them.

Overall nice bar. But there’s one waiter who has a serious problem keeping his hands to himself. We were a group of 6 who had to be seated in the bar area so it was a bit cramped. As I was taking off my coat to sit, the waiter shoved me so he could get by. Not even an “ excuse me”. I decided to ignore his behavior and figured “ it’s a busy night, he’s just trying to get the job done, so I’ll steer clear from him. But a few moments later he put his hand on my friends’ shoulder, as he was walking past us, and we don’t even know why considering he was sitting and out of the way. It was really uncomfortable for him. Definitely not a place I will be returning to anytime soon. Unless I can get a seat away from rude waiters who don’t know how to keep their hands up themselves.

Top cocktail bar. Great ambient thanks to cool interior design and light architecture. Food is delicious. A must visit for cocktails lovers!!

Visited three times in two days because it was that good. I am an (American) cocktail aficionado and serious about this art. It is very hard to find real classic cocktails in Europe. The bartenders knew every off-menu old-school drink my wife and I threw at them - a Clover Club, a Sazerac, an Old Pal, on and on - and delivered on every one. Lyon is lovely, but it is worth going to Lyon just for this bar alone. I’ll be back.

Overall: 7.5/10 average 10€ for a drink Drinks: 6.5/10 - the cocktails are so so sweet! even the sour ones aren’t as sour as sweet! I couldn’t taste but sugar in both of my cocktails. However the alcohol used is high quality ones. - The size of the drinks is definitely smaller than it should be, specially with the huge piece of glass, the cocktail would be around 20ml! - There is no food at all, be careful. Delicious cocktails! They are really good. It was my first time here but my friends are frequent guests and they are never disappointed. There is a slight performance with some cocktails. They serve water too. There is a traditional cocktail that won once a world class prize. There is a light at tables that you use to call a waitress.

Perfect for a sofisticated nighcap, or a chill first date. Quiet jazz sets the scene for a wonderfully capable bartender who serves the most ambitious and exciting cocktails in Lyon.

Came to this "péniche" to attend a music performance of this band in the pic (N.D.L.F.) and I was not disappointed at all. The band has a unique taste for Rock and has made quite a performance. The bar is nice, and cozy. The employees chill and organised.

I don’t recommend this place at all. Everyone is nice except the security guy. After 1 hour waiting outside he decide to not get me in, we asked why and his answer was: “I decide, you are not French, I only speak French”. And even if two very kind girls translated for us he refused to talk. How is possible that a place like that where you can share nice music is so racist?

This place is just magic. Nice party, good music and affordable drinks. People frequenting this place are super nice. Maybe ordering beer takes a while but that's the only "bad" thing. The terrace on the top of the boat is great for chilling with your friends looking at the city and the river.

I've spent really good nights there. Sometimes you can wait a steady half hour before reaching the door. Still this is a place you have to visit at least once. And sometimes you can see some nice underground gigs . All on the water. Don't expect the best drinks tho. Music and dancing to end the party .

Had an awesome time at Odessa. They have an exciting by-the-glass menu of natural, French wines that we loved. They also have a great food menu. The food menu could work as snacks or as an entire meal — we opted for the latter and ordered nearly everything on the menu. It was all creative, perfectly executed, and incredibly fresh.

Really cool wine bar focusing on small producers and simple tapas menu. Fresh ingredients and food to fit all dietary needs. All the tapas are delicious (we ate most of them). Wine by the glass and bottle list is very impressive for a natural focused wine bar.

Such a great spot! My partner and I tasted nearly everything on the menu and were so impressed by the quality, creativity and consistency of each dish. The wine menu is also out of this world, it was a fun challenge to pick which bottle we’d share!! Easily one of our favorite places we’ve been too while staying in Lyon.

My girlfriend and I recently went on a trip throughout Italy and France, and I have to say our visit to Odessa was one of the best highlights of the trip. David and Robert, two of the proprietors of the place, were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Not only did they help us pick out great wines, but when we told them we were headed to Paris the next day, they gave us some great recommendations on wine bars to visit. Then, to top it all off, the patatas bravas we ordered were some of the best I’ve ever had. Great food, great wines, and even better people. Odessa is an absolute must visit if you’re staying in Lyon.

The place is very classy, the interior is well decorated. It is like entering a cabin in the jungle. Love it! The oh la la drink is a must try. The london princess has a small taste of spice but amazing combination. All in all I recommend this bar, Im coming back to celebrate my birthday 😅😅

Excellent craft cocktails. Has a couple after our dinner at Carbone. High quality offering. Ranging from delicate botanical infusions, to blow-your-head off triple rum mashups. Their Tiramisu Sour was the mocktail I have ever had. Lovely staff too, clearly passionate about their trade. The bar man mentioned he competes in mixology events.

The bar has a nice atmosphere but the cocktails were horrific. The espresso martini was watery and the princes drink tasted like Lipton tea with musket… For cocktail lovers a no go

Cool place offering quality cocktails on a quiet street and neat interiors. Personnel is also cheerful and ready to help you. Pricing is rather high. Overall, decent option for having one or two cocktails in Broteaux.

1 orange wine by the glass. Some other natural wine. The Mamadeta is a cocktail drunk during the Santa Tecla Festival in Tarragona, Catalunya. Its name likely derives from “mamar” (sucking), emphasizing the drink’s easy consumption. It’s made by mixing yellow Chartreuse—a herbal liqueur originally created by French Carthusian monks in the 18th century—with lemon granizado (lemon slush). The result is a cold, sweet, and slightly herbal cocktail that’s bright greenish-yellow in color. Even though I've lived in Barcelona for a few years, I've never been to Tarragona, and never heard of this drink. Chartreuse is made in the Alps near Lyon and is very popular in this region.

Literally an amazing restaurant with wide range of wine selection and terrific delicates. The staff are very accommodating and friendly! A must go restaurant in Lyon! Not joking, you will miss a lot!

Lunch blessed by Carthusian monks at the temple of Chartreuse in Lyon aka the unmatched Cave Cafe Terroir. The food was kissed by the hands of angels. From the amuse of chicken stock and sweet potato puree, to the housemate terrine, the tart tartine of caramelized shallot with flakey pastry that you can hear shatter with the slightest fork pressure, the melt in your mouth over the top decadence of braised beef cheek and foie, to the cheese that i was too stuffed to finish. But OMG the Chartreuse! MOF, Elixir 1605, and the coup de grace the Cuvee of Green Chartreuse releases going back over 3 decades. 🥹 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I can only give it the elusive 6/5 fuegos. Thank you to @cyril_mntg for the rec! Thank you to the wonderful and sweet staff for making my lunch a truly unforgettable culinary experience that i will treasure for the rest of my life!

I wish I could give service 7 stars out of 5. The young gentleman spoke plenty of English for us though he was bashful that he didn't know more. He explained the food, made excellent wine and cider recommendations, helped my mother who has mobility problems, and ran after us when we left because we had dropped a bus pass. The food, drink, and atmosphere had this at 5 stars already, but man, the service made it our best experience at a restaurant yet in France, and we've been here for 1.5 weeks already ( and had a few outstanding experiences before this). Merci beaucoup!

Perfect place to chill during the day, great view on the river and central part of the Lyon. Guys that are working there are great, great service and great people, all speak English and all are super helpful and friendly. I had great time there, was during the day, then left to check out the rest of the city and came back later at evening, it was packed 😁, although it was Wednesday. Will definitely stop by again when I visit Lyon.

Nice boat bar but you pay for the fun location with a mediocre quality of food and drinks. Cocktails are incredibly sweet and we all watered them down to make them drinkable. Everything's quite pricey given the quality. Also if you're sensitive to smoke, not a great place as everyone is smoking.

Stopped in for a beer, chacuterie, and fromage on a summer evening. There is a whole line of floating bars/restaurants along this section of the Rhone, this one wasn't the most jam-packed, but it was busy (the pictures I attached make it look deserted...it was not). Staff spoke English and was friendly. Beautiful view and great food.

The best: the beer. They have like 10 options of beers, and the prices are not that high. Cocktail from 6€. Also, the decoration inside is really cool. Full of books and vintage style. They also have some tables outside. The bartender speaks English.

Authentic English pub in the heart of Lyon Old Town!

We enjoyed a nice night sitting on the terrace at Les Assembleurs Prefecture. Lovely atmosphere and they likely have 25 wines on tap from various regions which is a nice way to be able to taste a broad selection of wines from different regions and varietals at reasonable prices. During the evenings they serve tapas. We had four dishes. A veal dish,gnocchi,eggplant and grilled octopus. Our two favorites were the octopus and the veal followed by the gnocchi and lastly the eggplant. All in all a very nice evening and a place we will recommend.

We stopped in for a glass of wine (no food). Fairly priced wine with great selection. But the service was outstanding! A very friendly, polite and knowledgeable young man who served us. He also shared with us a digestif that was created in house and it was DELICIOUS! Absolutely recommend.

Anyone who enjoys wine MUST come to Les Assembleurs. You can blend your own wine from the vast choices they have and they also have some pre-selected blends if you cant decide. The price is also great as its €15 for 500ml of wine and €25 per 1Liter. Come and make your own blend over some snacks and enjoy a hidden gem in the wine scene.

We went for lunch and loved it. The food was very tasty and the assembled wine feature is a great idea, I wish there was something like this here in London. I highly recommend everyone to go when in Lyon!

Very nice restaurant. A bit more upscale, but the food is worth it. Excellent french cuisine, and great service staff.

I love this place. What makes Café Sillon special is their use of tasty seasonal ingredients, especially the vegetables. They combine ingredients and sauce, usually to create a nice contrast in the mouth, but without mixing up the taste flavours. Wonderful wines on the artisanal/natural side complement the dishes perfectly. The service is casual yet professional.

MUST BOOK: they get booked out so you need to book. Prices for dinner is roughly 41euros for a 3 course set menu. There is no Al carte but you can op to have cheese with the meal. Menu changes but we had, 3 amuse bouche before the meal and they were nice. Entree was either a veal tartare or octopus both were excellent Main was fish or lamb and for me the lamb was fantastic perfectly cooked and makes you want more. Desserts were good but not of the same level of deliciousness as previous dishes Overall 4.5/5

Nice concept, place and staff, but we did not like the food at all. You can see that it is a very well prepared menu, but for us it lacked some taste and the combination of flavours was difficult to understand.

Food is heaven and service is nice!

A classic Lyon experience — with great food and warm service! We were greeted with a friendly reception, and the service throughout was excellent professional yet welcoming. We arrived just after 1:30 PM, which turned out to be a smart move, as the restaurant wasn’t crowded and we avoided the usual queue. The food was really good overall. The beef tartare was especially delicious, though quite rich and filling easily enough for two people. We ended the meal with a dessert that looked like a baked Alaska and it was absolutely yummy! A great place to enjoy traditional dishes in a beautiful, historic setting.

The hotel is right next to one of the oldest restaurants in Lyon still operating – Brasserie George Lyon, established in 1836. A MUST-VISIT, always among the top spots. People are constantly coming and going, the place is packed, and just watching how well it sells is amazing. QUENELLE – €18.75 (~560k VND) Tastes like a fluffy fish cake, but the sauce is similar to the crab pasta sauce at Pizza 4P’s – absolutely delicious. In fact, this dish is made from fish, eggs, flour, and cream. RAUERS DE PORC – €18.5 (~550k VND) The flavor, along with the tender pork pieces with a bit of fat, tastes almost 90% like Vietnamese thịt kho tàu (braised pork). The difference is the thickened sauce – very tasty.

I thought it would be some tourist place. No waaaaay. Brasserie, that works from 1863! We took 2 menus (we are tourists, cmm’n:) All plates were really tasty. Black sausage is 🔥, butternut soup and Ille flottante for desert - all Reilly delicious. Recommending you to stop here for a lunch o dinner with no rush.

A traditional Brasserie and a great experience to go there. Food is absolutely delicious. Service is good. It’s just very noisy, but this comes with the concept. Lots of birthday songs were played loud and there even was a band playing. So it’s kind of a party atmosphere, but nice and entertaining. You should defenately book a table in advance. We reserved a table, but had to wait like 20 minutes at the bar.

Service was really really terrible. Sat around and waited a very long time to order. Water didn't come out till after the appetizer. Tried to ask someone else for some and they just forgot? Seems like they were really short staffed. My poor waiter was running around like crazy. It was fun trying lyonnaise cuisine! I got the escargot and the pork and pistachio sausage. It's also a cool dining room. The setup is interesting! There's fun art and the birthday song with the little crank organ is cute. So many people celebrating birthdays lmao

Amazing place, it is run like a well-oiled machine. Don't go before 15h or you will spend 2 hours in a lineup. We made that rookie mistake but it was ok, we toughed it out. We each ordered onion soup à gratin, and it was exactly what we wanted. I would forego the egg in port that the waiter poured in our soup, it tasted a touch too wine-y for my taste, but I appreciated the flair. All in all a fun experience, a good memory.

Brasserie with a long history, and where famous people like Hemingway, had dined. The size and the design of the place is impressive. I liked how they prepared the Tartar (they ask beforehand if you want it spicy) - they mix in front of you. Their bread is delicious. The only disappointment was the main dish - pork rack. It was too dry and not hot. You can also come for late lunch to avoid the crowds - good thing they don’t close between 2 and 7.

I had a wonderful culinary experience at Le Mercière. Both the starter and the main as well as the dessert were delicious. I would totally recommend this place to enjoy typical lyonnaise and french food. Attentive service and lovely location. The tables in the passage are very cute. I would say it’s just a little tight and busy, a bit more room between the different tables would be appreciated. Also the business in front of the restaurant, “La Facade”, was playing way too loud music. Of course this is not the restaurants fault, but the one opposite to it. But maybe as a business you should care about going to your neighbours and ask them to be more considerate. Maybe they already did…who knows. I had a good experience overall. I would recommend!

Fabulous restaurant with delicious classic French (Lyonnaise) food and excellent service. I always come for the Salade Lyonnaise, Quenelles, and Blanquette de Veau. However, we were suggested the chicken liver cake, foie gras, and eggs in red wine and they were all incredible! The andouillette from Bobosse is delicate and delicious as well (if you enjoy tripe). I send friends and family here anytime they visit Lyon. Thank you for a wonderful lunch, Cesar! We will be back soon.

Le Mercière is a popular spot in the heart of Lyon, often quite busy and lively with tourists. The atmosphere is energetic, though the space can feel a bit crowded — tables are quite close to each other, so it’s not the most spacious or intimate dining experience. The food was okay overall, but I expected a bit higher quality in the ingredients and preparation considering the restaurant’s reputation. Service was friendly and efficient despite the rush. A decent option if you want to experience a classic Lyonnais restaurant vibe, but not the best choice if you’re looking for a quieter or more refined meal.

Great bouchon to try some local food. The place hasn't changed since the 70's which is very cool. Our waiter Paula was really great!! Very attentive and just a friendly person which made the experience even better. All spoke English which was nice for us non French speakers. We had dinner on a Monday and the place filled up, so it's worth booking, which you can do online. I had the steak and it was very delicious. Great wine to match.

The best dinner we had during a 3 night stay! The steak was actually more rare than medium, which we wanted. The staff was very attentive and overly friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant! Only minor complaint was that the “crispy” chicken was overcooked and dried out, but the delicious gravy helped complement the flavor. The chicken was not fried as the name suggests but has a cheese crisp wafer inserted into the mashed potatoes.

I had the pleasure of dining at a traditional bouchon in Lyon, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, authentic, and full of character — exactly what you’d hope for in the culinary capital of France. The food was exceptional: hearty, comforting, and prepared with the kind of care and tradition that truly showcases Lyonnaise cuisine. Every dish felt genuine and full of flavour, and the service matched the welcoming spirit of the place. A must-visit if you want to experience authentic Lyon in both taste and atmosphere.

The best meal of my travel in France. Even compared with all restaurants I ever tried in Italy, this restaurant still could be one of the best. It completely changed my impression to French food.

Extraordinary by any measure. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing. Every course was as beautiful to look at as it was to eat. Artistry and food held hands. The wine choices were surprising, yet flawless. The service was sophisticated and welcoming. There were many surprises throughout the meal. Hats off to the Chef for taking this Lyonnais institution to the next level.

I had a very pleasant lunch at Mere Brazier. The food was exquisite, from the spider crab caviar dish to the bread with the most incredible salted butter (something so simple yet few restaurants get it right), the smoked haddock mousse to the Quenelle. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Service was great too. My only complaint was the Grand Marnier soufflé sides. The ice cream genuinely tasted like soap 😏 please stick to plain vanilla, the ice cream was not nice

The food at La Mere Brazier was very good. The service was definitely not two star Michelin service and if they keep it up they’ll never get a third and in fact may lose their second ! My glass was empty more than it was full. My wife had to fill the water for both of us several times. I asked for a check by the end of night as I was nearly falling asleep 4 times. Category: Fine Dining. Our wonderful concierge, Francois at the Villa Maia Hotel (see my separate review) recommended this Michelin 2 Star. We don’t usually hunt for stars but we trusted his judgment and he didn’t steer us wrong. The name means “Mother Brazier” after its founder, chef Eugenie Brazier, who went to the Eternal Kitchen in 1977 but is famous for being the first person awarded six Michelin stars, three each at two restaurants. Upon arrival, we were politely ushered into the original, elegant dining room, which now has only four tables, the service bar, and a trophy case for the restaurant’s many awards, including several Michelin Man statuettes. Although the menu offers a wine pairing option, we started by ordering a bottle of red wine from Provence (where we just spent a week) from the extensive wine list. Despite the high level of this restaurant, we were happy to see some economically priced bottles on the list (we don’t like to spend much much money on restaurant wine). We each ordered one of the two 5-course tasting menus, which allowed us to sample almost everything the kitchen produces. The menu probably changes with the seasons (or more frequently), so I’ll mention only highlights (see the photos for more details). The first was the generous amuse bouche of creamed corn, haddock, and crunchy corn bits. Delicious. And it could have counted as the sixth course. We were also blown away by the incredibly tasty spider crab 🦀 and sea crab emulsion with Ossetra caviar. It’s plating was also spectacular. Another highlight was the Artichoke and Foie Gras Tribute to Mere Brazier. I’ve enjoyed many foie gras pates on this trip and others; this was the best. Although usually paired with a sweet sauce or compote, this foie was paired with artichoke. Perfect. The line-caught pollack was also excellent, but I mention it also because the wine pairing paired it with Japanese sake, specifically, a Junmai Kimoto. Inspired. Sake pairs more easily with food than does wine. The restaurant’s take on the ubiquitous local dish, quenelle, was also a highlight. In this incarnation it was a small, rectangular, crispy-topped portion in a beautiful Nantua (crayfish and/or lobster) sauce. Finally, I must highlight the Grand Marnier Soufflé. With most sweet soufflés, the server punches a hole in the top, through which is poured a sauce. No sauce here, which I thought was strange, at first. But the reason, apparently, is that the soufflé was so unbelievably light and airy that a sauce would have ruined the effect. Beyond excellent. Among the many off-menu pre-desserts and post desserts to which we were treated, we also enjoyed a glass of apricot wine, which our concierge said was a must. We attended for a lunch service which offered a smaller menu at a reasonable price of €98. However, overall we were left a bit disappointed for our first experience at a two star Michelin restaurant in the foodie capital of France. While the lunch menu price might have been reasonable, the cost of the champagnes provided as an aperitif was not - at €24 each. We were not provided with a wine menu to choose the aperitif and while I expect to pay that much for a glass of champagne at a Michelin restaurant - I probably would have liked to have been warned first? Perhaps this is customary in such types of restaurants but after four glasses it left a slightly bitter taste in our mouths. If we were not concerned about cost we would have opted for the full dinner menu at 185 or 285 € (a price much more common for restaurants of this calibre). The cherry and foie gras entrée was quite good. But didn’t blow me away. The stand out dish for sure was the entree of spider and sea crab with caviar. This was 10/10. I found the other dishes - the monkfish and the amuse bouches to be good but nothing special. My partner enjoyed the beef sirloin, which was flavoursome. I was again disappointed with the souffle but astounded by its size. Personally, I think if it had been smaller it would have had more flavour. I can’t fault the service (besides my gripe about the champagne - which is perhaps just my mistake). The atmosphere was also nice. Though nothing special. I think if I was to return I would have the spider crab with caviar again but order the pressed chicken for which Mere Brazier is famous. I was also jealous of the cheese trolley. All up the experience cost about €360 (around $700 AUD at time of writing for those playing at home) for what was really four courses (appetiser, entree, main, dessert + two amuse bouches) four glasses of champagne and one small glass of wine. Again - I understand this to be the price point for Michelin 2 starred restaurants but I have had better experiences at bib gourmand elsewhere for half the price. Not bad but not a stand-out of our three month trip around Europe that was focussed almost exclusively on food and wine.

I will start by saying the service was impeccable. Every staff member was amazing, polite, hospitable, and made us feel welcome. They were the stars of the place. Also, the food was fantastic. Such interesting dishes, and the quality was world class. However. It took us 4 hours to get through the smaller tasting menu, about 5 courses. It should not take 4 hours, and made the end of our time in Lyon a bit disappointing as we were at times just sitting around waiting for the next course. I know kitchens get backed up, but that is not something I expect to experience at a world class restaurant. If you don't have early plans the next day, or are not in a rush, I recommend this place. But if you plan to try and get a good night's sleep after eating here, I wouldn't recommend.

No wrong doings for the service staff cuz you can see them trying to pull this off. My nays are to the food cuz they’re just absolutely horrendous and bizarre. I’ve travelled to dozens of countries and this is the first time I wish I didn’t walk into the door. The desserts are fine (not exceptional as you would expect from a 2-star), but I must say that every other dish I had made me think “what the hell am I eating?” And “how soon can I just get the check and leave this place” I hope the chef can seriously reconsider continuing a cooking career in such a renowned establishment bearing 2 stars cuz this high price and god-forsaken food is beyond rescue. I seldom write reviews online but tonight I feel compelled to warn others off this place especially you’re trying to have a good experience in France and Lyon. Seriously find a pizzeria or a local bouchon you’ll be fine but coming here will make you traumatized like I am right now.

Terrific dining experience. We did the 6-course tasting with wine pairings and were blown away. Note that the 6 courses didn’t include 3 amuse-bouches that start every meal, meaning we were absolutely stuffed after practically 9 courses of food. Highlights for us were the 36 hour tomato and stuffed courgette flower, especially with the wine pairings. The wine complimented or contrasted the dishes in perfect ways, either balancing sweeter courses or tempering more acidic courses. For a fine dining restaurant in Lyon, it offered very good value for money, especially with the wine pairings. Note a couple of the photos were taken after we had tampered with the plating (or the goat cheese ice cream had started to melt); everything came out pristine.

Fantastic service from the waiters, with detailed descriptions of each dish. The sommelier selected wines with real expertise, sometimes making atypical choices that paired beautifully with the food. The food was delicious, well thought out, and visually mesmerising, representing the very best the region has to offer. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, complemented by a calming, minimal design.

I had a mostly wonderful experience at the restaurant — the atmosphere was elegant, the service impeccable, and the quality of most dishes truly outstanding. However, I was disappointed by one particular dish: the meat served with mushrooms contained visible worms (I found at least three), which made it impossible to finish. This unfortunate incident significantly affected an otherwise excellent meal.

On a scale of 1 to ten, just about everything was an 11. Even by French standards, we didn't realize that food could taste this good. This restaurant has an open kitchen, and it was a pleasure to watch the team work together to create each course. We selected the wine pairing menu, which was fascinating each wine, some of which were unusual, enhanced each course.

Fantastic restaurant. The restaurant is more of a show of how the food is prepared. Very cool setting. The staff make you feel very welcome as soon as you set foot in the door. The attention to detail is brilliant. The food is outstanding. Every dish tasted fantastic and prepared beautifully. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

It was amazing. A highlight of my trip to Lyon. The food was varied, artistic and tasted amazing. All in all we had 13 unique dishes that each felt like a one of a kind experience. Each dish came with in depth explanations and we had a wine pairing which in depth described the wine and how it related to the dish. Everything felt like it had so much intention and thought behind it. With the kitchen in the middle of restaurant you are able to see the care behind how they operate and the energy the chefs bring to the experience. It felt like more than a meal and every person who you interact with takes great care regarding your experience. A nice touch I felt was the hand made stoneware from local female artists which are used for all of their plates, bowls, mugs and more.

From the outside this is pretty unassuming. We weren't even sure it was open. There were some other diners who looked equally unsure, until someone took the plunge and walked in, and the rest of us followed them. Once inside we were sat right next to the open kitchen, where it was a well-oiled machine of chefs quietly and meticulously getting on with things. The dishes were all amazing, looked great and well presented. 3 delicate amuses-bouche to start with. Then the meal itself; 3 vegetarian dishes (or at least the vegetable was the star of the show), one meat, one fish, and 3 desserts. Then petits-fours. All great.

I was here during winter 2024, good mall near confluence, big food chains like Mcd, burger king, etc are present. Supermarkets carrefour is also located in shopping complex. Near to tram station and good view and marina walk near to mall

Nice large mall with plenty of shops. Very new and clean with good restaurants. Only tramway to go to Confluence but it’s pretty fast.

A huge and convenient shopping mall. It’s just in front of the train station and is quite huge. U can get almost anything u want from there. I was able to buy a special tea I’ve been looking for few weeks there. It has a huge food court at the top, and u kind find all kind of healthy and less healthy food up there. Even there is an indoor park for children. I would recommend visiting here if u want to get something while ur visiting Lyon. It has public toilets inside, that u have to pay 1€! And unfortunately, they are not as clean as you might think. Also, the mall is huge, and it has a very good system to show the ways and avoid being lost.

Should change the name to - Olfactory Merry-Go-Round of Malodour Smells awful in a variety of ways every few meters as you walk. Fishy then sour then smoke then fried food then parfum then unidentifiable stench then back to sour then scummy smells and so on. The ill advised remedy was likely to layer cheap cologne that has worn off and instead of washing you just continue to spray more on top of the stink hoping it will go away. Many years later you get this unfavourable ambiance. It actually quite impressive how many different stinks you can accumulate in a partially open air building. Well done sir! Security attacked us for having a shopping cart in the “mall” what a joke of a dump! Not to mention the fact that the store selection is lacklustre and dated. Mango and toy store is about the only decent shop in the place and it’s small. Not an opinion, an observation of evidence!

Contemporary design and great atmosphere. Lots of brands and shops. I liked the design of the third floor (the Terrasses) designated primarily for restaurants. The surrounding area is spectacular and beautiful. Good quality space all around.

Fantastic addition to modern architecture. We first saw it on the tourist bus so understand the concept behind it. Great eco designed architecture throughout the area. Well worth the time to explore. Beautiful tree lined walkways and park areas surrounded by the river and a canal. The roof top area of the mall is open to let air and light and covered to keep you dry.

One stop for shopping and dining. Unfortunately when we visited during Christmas, all the shops and eateries were closed. But liked the ambience... 😊

Had the 5-course Christmas Eve meal without wine (€120/pax). The food and service is okay, just pretty average for an upscale establishment. The Breton lobster risotto came with a bite size piece of lobster.

It was a high end restaurant. My wife and I were at the restaurant on March 25, 2022. One of members in Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse refered and made a reservation for me. My wife and I had a three course meals. It was chef’s surprise three course meals. Taste of was excellent and food presentations were beautiful. Wine was matched well with food. Sommelier explained about wine’s region, character and history. Also staff explained about every course meal in detail with a decent speed of verbal descriptions. We enjoyed the meals with warm atmosphere.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and the food the pace and the service were really unforgettable. Thank you for the cake and nice surprise. We will definitely come back again.

This is great, upscale restaurant at the heart of Lyon serving up a nice twist on French dishes. Atmosphere is traditional, yet relaxed. Service is very high quality and friendly. Amazing food. Started off with an amuse bouche. Onion soup. Knocked it out of the park and the rest of the meal just kept surpassing the previous dish. We did the tasting menu. Have an allergy to shellfish , they were able to substitute the oyster dish for us with an incredible tomato gazpacho. Incredible. Staff was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations on which wines paired nicely with the dishes. Will be coming back to Monsieur P the next time we find ourselves in Lyon.

Distinctly average with some good dishes, one that was inedible and substandard wine pairing. We enjoyed the onion soup. The oysters could be good but are difficult to eat in the correct proportions. The ravioli was excellent and the only dish with a good wine pairing. The lamb was far too pink for me with fat that was still chewy as it was so underdone. Possibly the most disappointing part was that for every course, one of the waiters would ask how the dish was except for the lamb which I had left most on the plate. If you want feedback, ask your customers during the meal, not in an email afterwards. Extremely expensive for the quality received.

We had our anniversary lunch there, and I took the 7 sequences while my boyfriend took the lunch menu. The really enjoyed my meal, it was tasty but a bit too big for lunch if you are not a very big eater. Service was good, all staff are friendly. Only one thing I think need improvement is the toilet 🚽. It’s a very fancy restaurant but the toilet is not so clean nor have stuff in there which I could use it to clean it for sitting.

We loved the food here, and this is a great place. This is the place to go if you want to try the best seafood. We also liked it when the waiters suggested wines. The service is great, and the food tastes great.

The chocolate dessert was outstanding, harmonious blend of textures, and the mousse was simply heavenly. Although not visible in the picture, the ice cream and cake layer added a delightful surprise. We discovered a fantastic Chardonnay from Jura. Very friendly staff. Visiting on January 1st may not reflect the usual atmosphere, and it appeared the place is undergoing renovations, promising an even better experience in the future.

Solid food, but what’s noteworthy is the dessert! Nice, attentive staff that speak English. They even had an English menu. Definitely book reservations because this place gets busy. I got trout with vegetables as my main dish, and it didn’t knock my socks off (actually thought the veggies were a bit undercooked) but there was nothing wrong and it was overall a fine meal. I really, really loved their “chocolate of different textures” dessert. It fulfilled the assignment and had excellent chocolate-y flavor, not overly sweet.

Amazing rapport qualité / prix 🥇 The fare is refined but reasonably priced. Not open for dinner so plan for a brunch or lunch. I’ve been living in the area for years and think Le Kitchen really makes the quartier feel “Parisian class”. They recently did a remodel giving it an Art Deco flare I love. If weather is nice outdoor seating is preferable, inside it’s a bit too cozy but if you can sit at the bar, I think that’s the best spot 👍

Wonderful place, great architecture and design. Had the chance to attend an opera inside too, prices were a bit high but the experience worths it. You can buy online or at the place. Balcony seats were just fine if you got the best angle!

I have been to Lyon a few times and can never imagine the interior of this building from outside. In addition, this is another work by Jean Nouvel (difficult to tell from the outside). Black and red set up a club feel under historical facets. It's quite small so it's OK to have a seat on the balcony. The foyer is very pleasant and you can have a drink. The staff is exceptionally nice.

Disappointing experience of the building – feels like a metro station in a rush hour: cramped spaces, construction site-like wobbly metal perforated staircases, poorly functioning cloakroom that stops accepting coats 15 mins before the show with 2 persons serving the 1300 seats house, people with coats in their laps, tiny hard seats almost like at a train station waiting room. And after the end of a show you follow the internal stairs and suddenly find yourself on a street like in a typical cinema. Rush-hour vibe, not a comfortable experience that allows to fully enjoy the music. Go to see performance if you can, but be ready for confusions, tortures and queues delivered by the architecture and management.

You have to queue to enter the lift and reach the place. The Terrasse is small and getting a the view seats is a hustle . So if you're going for the pictures or the view, make sure you go a bit earlier than opening time. The place is nice. Service is alright. The appetizers are basic. But overall the place is great...

The cafe is only open on certain days and times. It may be a "Pop-Up" bar, too. I will try to clarify later.

Situated in a noisy & busy area in the heart of Lyon, this opera is easy to spot. Some part of the interior design is totally stunning. The plan of the building is quite complex and the toilet is not really clean.

I find the extension on the top of the building very ugly and just an alien feature that's crowning a splendid architecture. Here especially in August you can witness free music shows and meet other peopl who gather here day and night.

Excellent restaurant with amazing food at acceptable prices (menu at 33 eur) . Everything was delicious from start to the end. The service was a little slow and it would have been great to have some more explanations about the delicious food we were served. Often we had to ask and the answers were a bit in a rush. I will definitely return and I'll put this address in my favorites.

Excellent food, warm and attentive service without being fussy. Dinner also included an off menu amuse bouche. My first experience with sunchoke gratin, chantilly cream and tarragon gel. I would return again. Apologies for the dim photos. I had one of the tables without direct overhead lighting, but it was my choice to sit there and it did not otherwise affect my dining experience.

Fantastic experience at Le Mangevins. Attentive service, high quality food and wine list. Clearly attention is placed on the wine selection as it’s rotating regularly and interesting bottles are on display for purchase from the owner’s travels. The risotto with langoustines was one of the best bites from our two week travels through France.

Absolutely delicious place - voted best Bouchon of Lyon. Florence - the chef - is a proper "mère lyonnaise" and if you want a great wine to accompany her tasty dishes, ask Max... He knows his stuff

This is a great place for lunch. Really faultless. Mother and son team turning out solid wholesome bouchon food. Wine menu is top class. Highly recommended. Open in the evenings Mon to Wed for groups of 15 or more.

Always the top. If you go in Lyon and if you like the good food by a mère lyonnaise, and the very good wines bio and rares at a good price, go to the Café du Peintre. Or else don't go in Lyon !

📍 We had a meal at a restaurant located on Quai Victor Augagneur. The restaurant is situated next to Rhône River. 🛳️ The food preparation takes place on a boat floating along the river. The location itself is stunning, with the terrace offering views of the InterContinental hotel. It's the perfect spot to enjoy beers with friends as the sunsets. 🍔 The burgers they serve are very delicious. In my case, I tried the American burger, and I was genuinely fascinated by the flavor of the meat. ⏰ The only issue you might encounter is space availability. We went without a reservation and had to adjust. If you have enough time, you're sure to find a spot at one of their tables. I'm not sure if reservations are available, but if they are, I recommend making one. 🌇 The atmosphere on this riverbank is incredibly pleasant, especially at sunset. That's why this place is fantastic for hanging out with friends.

Nice place by the river, the food arrived super quick but it took them 15 mins to get us our beers, we only got one bread plate for a big planche of charcuterie and cheese and when asked for more bread they told us they were out of bread. With improvements it can become a great place

Avoid if you can. Massive drop in quality this year. Understaffed, frozen foods replaced quality products. I had the chicken burger, it was something vile. Priced as a gourmet burger but worse than the worst fast food joint. My guess: Berzingue opened right next to them and Star Ferry is trying to squeeze out the last profits before they're run out of business by the end of the year. Sorry about the staff, they try and put in an honest effort. Otherwise, Star ferry is the worst in its class of péniches on the Rhône .

Cool spot for any cocktail you feel like! Food tour person suggested this when we asked about a good cocktail spot. Good, unique G&T selection. No food but nice inside and outside area in a tucked away part of a busy street. Would definitely go back.

If you're looking for a truly exceptional cocktail bar, you absolutely must check out this bar it's a gem! Inside the bar is very retro and stylis. The bar is extremely well stocked. - see images attached. And as for the cocktails themselves? They're truly out of this world. The bartenders are true artists, using premium ingredients and attention to detail to create drinks that are not only gorgeous to look at, but also packed with incredible flavor. Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail or something a little more experimental, the talented owner is more than willing to whip it up. All in all, this cocktail bar is a true gem. Between the frendly service, gorgeous atmosphere, and delicious drinks, it's a must-visit for anyone who loves a proper cocktail.

This is my favourite cocktail bar in all of Lyon. And they do excellent wine and other drinks too. The service is super professional but friendly also. And I can't think of a better location. Great view of the whole square and all the vibrant life going on around.

Cozy and above all a huge source of wine local and around the EU. Bookings are a must if u don't want to be disappointed. Menu. Is by QR code but strangely cannot be ordered. Bill can be .. All indoor dining as far as determined. Service was great . Limited English... menu choice is not expansive in the groups i.e. pizza, pasta, salads etc .. but the food is delightful. Same for the beer menu ... only 3 items. Moderately priced. Highly recommended

Wow! On a Monday night we had some delicious cocktails in this moody but peaceful bar. Excellent service and creative, left of centre cocktail concoctions that will satisfy every tastebud on your tongue!

The cocktails are very average in taste. The ambiance and service are nice. I wouldn’t go back specifically for cocktails, but it could be a stylish choice to meet a friend.

We tried Casa Jaguar for Peruvian food in Lyon and had a mixed experience. The cocktails were very good — creative, well-balanced, and enjoyable. The fried eggplant and glazed ribs were underseasoned, and the ribs were a bit tough (some pieces were burnt and not edible). The fried octopus was decent, and the lemony, garlicky sauces were a nice addition. Service was not ideal; we weren’t given a food menu at first and the restaurant seemed understaffed, which made the experience less smooth. Overall, there were some highlights, but also several aspects that made the meal less enjoyable.

Atmosphere is very nice, creative modern latin decoration and music. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food of good quality, mexican latin fusion. Wine selection is very mediocre for French standard, the direction is good (grape selection) but the cheapest wine of the winery is sold here, need to step up here one step. Mens bathroom defected, didn’t close correctly. Details, but easily corrected. Potential is there.

No child friendly at all, even just for an orange juice they gave a lecture why they don't have it and they won't accommodate. Food tastes good, but very small and not filling. This makes it expensive when you have to order sides as extra. Good environment and nice cocktails.

This trendy spot has the quality food and cocktails to make it a staple in Lyon. I took several of my French colleagues to dinner and everyone enjoyed themselves. We shared the dishes allowing us to try much of the menu, including dessert. Chic cocktail bar in the back is a perfect escape from a long day at work or intimate rendezvous. I will return soon!

Lovely bar offering a wide selection of beers and flammekueche. Such a cozy place with a little garden where you can sit and enjoy your drink/meal. Definitely worth a visit !

The place has a really nice vibe. Great for groups, live music and a young and bubbly crowd. The staff are very friendly and took time to explain the options. Great range of beers and ales, as well as wine. Doesn't seem much from the outside but go in and you will enjoy it, especially the beer garden. Worth a visit for sure!

General: Pretty cool place, music was good but no room to move around or turn into dance floor. Room for improvement: Layout needs some work imo. For the drinks: I had the ikebana which was super tasty beer, Blonde 6° , I couldn't bring myself to try another one I enjoyed it that much! Very popular, lively and intimate restaurant. Excellent fish paired with lentils and sweet potato prepared simply but full of flavour. Sable pastry for dessert tart took a bit of ‘carving’. Nice not to be treated as a tourist despite speaking French.

Really lovely lunch here the food was fresh and delicious. The staff was very kind and spoke good English to help with our order. We did have a reservation which helped and our small dog was more than welcome inside the restaurant.

Although the dishes didn't quite match our palates, it's possible we missed out on their signature specialties. The atmosphere, however, was wonderfully warm and welcoming. A pleasant experience overall.

Perfect place if you are a wine lover. They have an extensive selection of wines and they are very accommodating. I e-mailed them earlier to reserve for a bottle and they gladly do so. The food and the service is excellent! All of them are genuinely nice. Will definitely recommend.

I found this restaurant nice but not leaving to the hype. Staff were very nice and helpful. However food was disappointing. Quite obviously they cooked our steak (85€/kg -1.3kg) too rare, and after they cut it they relaised that and returned it back to the grill Result - too dry and chewy, not worth 110€ in any universe. Quite expensive wine list and overall experience. There are better places around.

This is a great bistrot restaurant that offer revisited classic French food. The wine selection is incredible and the sommelier recommendations are always on point. The staff is professional and friendly. The interior is cozy and the terrace is nice. We have been regulars enjoying the monthly changing menu for a while.

it's alright will do the job if you want some pub grub. disappointment during our visit as Guinness was not available I mean how can you be an Irish pub and not have Guinness? server was friendly and helpful to English speakers like ourselves ate outdoors and we're able to accommodate our larger party of 6 easily.

I have been to this little Irish sports pub many times over the years . They do a weekly food menu which you can find on their website or on FB . The owner is a genuine Irish man who entertains in the evenings playing Irish music along with other groups and individuals. The pub is both popular with locals and ex-pats in Lyon. They serve great food and I believe their Fish’n’chips are the best in Lyon . Good range of Irish beers and a great pint of Guinness. This little pub is situated in the old part of Lyon and has outside seating. Food and drink prices are very reasonable and the service is very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Johnny’s Kitchen for a visit !!.☘️… Brian.

My husband and I happened upon Soda Bar by chance while strolling through Lyon. It's a great find! They have a creative cocktail list along with a nice selection of small plates. The overall vibe was reflected in the decor and especially the music, which was a great mix of classic and remixed soul and R&B. We'd happily go back.

Very tasty cocktails. The night my gf and I went, they had a guest bartender from the Monkey Club. We tried his collaboration cocktails and they were great. Then we had one of the house signature cocktails and they were also great. Afterwards, we asked the main bartender to make us something experimental and he asked us for our preferences and made something amazing for us both! Highly recommended!

Visited this evening, we all (11 of us) loved the drinks but realised when we got home they overcharged us by 50 Euros. My drinks receipt said we spent €129 on cocktails but my pdq receipt shows we were charged €179.

Been twice, the first time was on a Friday night and we waited over an hour to be served our second drink after asking at the bar which greatly put us off. We then decided to give it a second chance since the cocktail we had was delicious. On a tuesday evening it was much much better than on a Friday, with table service and great cocktails with what looks like experienced bartenders. Only fault on my second visit was that my shoes were sticking to the floor because the floor must not have been cleaned!

I have been in Lyon for three weeks for work. As a woman traveling alone, it’s not always easy to navigate French restaurants. Bel Ami was just perfect— totally comfortable for a solo diner with a book— lovely, welcoming service, outstanding food and wine, and small plates, which meant I was able to order exactly the amount I wanted. So grateful to have had this welcoming neighborhood spot to return to! A really special place.

6.7/10 - A bit disappointing food wise for area. Buratta was nice enough (as to be expected) however lamb was tough with sinew.

What a delightful lunch! We had a tomato appetizer. Who knew tomatoes could taste so good! The food was a work of art! We tried both the fish (delicate and perfectly seasoned) and the chicken (a true yummy comfort dish). The chocolate desert was perfect and our wine was amazing. A fabulous value for an extraordinary meal.

Cockatail / Jazz rooftop bar hidden in beautiful Hotel Dieu in Bellecour. When you get there, go inside Hotel Dieu, look for the Intercontinental Hotel and then just across is the entrance of L’Officine. Once a month on Fridays they host a “Jazz Apero” so we came to enjoy! Dimmed lights and an exciting cocktail menu! We tried the “Peach Please”, “Montenegroni” (with a beautiful logo stamped ice cube) and finally a Royal Monkey (this one won!). Prices were around 15€. The jazz was beautiful! And we went out to enjoy the terrace for a while (they have warm covers so you don’t freeze in the cold season). The only remarks I would make is that we wanted to tried a Mezcal cocktail in the menu, but there was no mezcal that night. The appetizers menu didn’t look crazy so we ended up not ordering. And one of our glasses had the border quite chipped, something that in this kind of place you would not expect. It finally a fancy place to enjoy a night out with friends or couple.

Went here for after dinner cocktails. It’s a really cool setting but we waited for 30 minutes to place our order. 2/3 drinks we tried to order were out of stock. Still waiting to get the drinks 15 minutes later. It’s a Tuesday night at 10:45pm and not crowded.

Cozy place to drink, though mind the fact that you cannot order alcohol without food due to the lack of level 4 licence. Place is quite small too so make sure to come early if you're a large group, because they don't take reservations. Mojitos are nice which kinda rare ! Finger food is really good and price is affordable. If you come from the Croix-Paquet metro station mind that you'll need to climb up the hill halfway so no wheelchair.

Amazing, the acoustics are brilliant and the vibe is amazing. There was plenty of room for you to stand as well as bleachers for you to sit. The venue had two bars, one indoors and one outdoors and a food truck. Everything was easily accessible. One of the best and easiest concerts I've ever been to.

A great venue to see live music. I've been a few times over the years to see groups like Biffy Clyro, Kaiser Chiefs, and Marillion, and always had a great evening.

Came to watch a band De Staat in the smaller venue there - fantastic sound great lighting and very friendly staff, the crowd where great as well! One thing we would recommend is that you don’t try to get food around the venue - it’s in the middle of no where and surrounded by soulless chain bars. Get something in the Centre then get an Uber it’s pretty far out! But well worth the journey, if your going to get drunk - get some drinks before it’s a bit pricey for some things.

Was denied the entry even though i bought a ticket because me and my 2 friends had no girls in our group. Is surrounded by extremely suspicious people who are constantly driving by looking for trouble. Also no one speaks english which makes it a extremely unfriendly environment for tourists, therefore do not recommend

We went there for closing night. Average clubbing vibes. The music was varied but yet not very hyped up. The drinks were average as well. They moved us from a table to seat somebody else. They’re closing for renovation, i hope they come with better ideas when back and more organisation.

I went to Azar Club for the Borderland Party (04/10), which was advertised as a house music event. Honestly, the DJ seemed to blur the line between house and pop, and I think there’s room for improvement in sticking to the promised genre. That said, the overall party vibe was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere. One thing I found uncomfortable was the entrance process: the security guards carefully scan you and your outfit, then appear to give each other a yes-or-no signal, which feels a bit intimidating. In the end, I’m not sure the experience fully justified the €15 entry fee, but it was still a decent night out.

We went there with a spanish group (4). They first wanted to let us in. They acted a bit weird even there but then asked if we were spanish. I said we were and they started to make fun of us in french believing we didnt understand. I speak french and the things they said were awful and very unprofessional. The people in question were three bald men, one of which acted horrible had grey hair. Once i told them i understood what they were saying, a guy told me he was spanish trying to make fun again and when i stood up for my friends he acted all affected. Then a woman started saying we were suggesting they were racist which i still do not understand where that came from. All in all, an unstable and very annoying group of people who try to act all tough without any real meaning. Disgraceful experience and hope they all get better in life because the way they act is no good. Heal and do better.

I've had the worst experience with the staff at this club. They refused to give me back my jacket after I told them that I had an emergency and needed to go. They were so impolite.

Music was a bit weird and the dj didnt know what he did, playing a playlist would have been better. The mood was good but not crazy, the drinks were fine.

It is great place to be, the people who service in the night club are super nice and professional, the night club is very big and enough space to relax and dance, the toilet is clean, there are plenty of of chairs to take some rest and drinks. They are a lot of choices of drinks. Overall, I am am Satisfied and I recommend it to anyone who want enjoy the night vibes.

It’s a nice venue but the crowd it attracts is very pretentious and lame. Many people shoving and looking for fights… left with scratches on my chest. Have clubbed in a ton of places around the world and have never ever seen this many people looking for fights or blatantly elbowing their way to the front. Got shoved like crazy multiple times and security watches it and does nothing… Awful experience but venue itself is nice!

Probably the music genre is the only positive side of this place. You are not allowed to go outside for some fresh air, because there’s only a smoking room, which if full of people can be very claustrophobic. A friend of mine who was with me got sick and we were forced to go outside without being able to go back. In addition, the barlady who served me a drink, first took ice with her hands, second she has been very rude and unprofessional when I had to pay with my credit card. At the time, my bank circuit was not working and trying to explain the situation she literally kept throwing me the POS payment device in front of my face arrogantly and aggressively, demanding an immediate payment. After several attempts she snatched the drink from my hands without asking my permission. In conclusion, not recommended if you expect a normal respectful service from the staff and if you’re a bit claustrophobic

Hostile and aggressive server who got angry because the three of us (man and woman with a child) were remarking about how much we don't like graffiti destroying beautiful buildings, and he overheard us, and so he interrupted us suddenly to declare that he was a graffiti vandal, that he's been doing it for 20 years, and then he got super confrontational with us like he wanted to fight about it. We'll never go back to this place. It's way overpriced and poor quality to have a server who destroys the beauty of the city, gloats about it, and then gets confrontational. What a joke.

Recommended by The Telegraph for a planche and Communard. Beautiful location, OK service, but the planche had 3 cheeses that tasted the same and very thickly sliced ham and sausages. Stick with a nice drink and the view.

We just had drinks and fries. The fries were really bad. Looks like leftovers (too brown, too oily, not crunchy)! The service was not great as well. We had to point to the waiter to clean the table twice when seated and we ended doing it ourselves...

Visited during Xmas holidays, stopped in for a festive drink and a quick bite. Very beautifully decorated and the staff were really attentive. The drinks were delicious and presented so nicely. The food was expensive and just ok, we expected more. We had great service and the atmosphere was lovely, it also needed music but I would still recommend it.

An absolute delight in all regards. Service is impeccable; properly attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails offered run from the traditional to highly curated, inventive taste sensations. We thoroughly enjoyed our “light bite” but could not help but notice the enticing, more filling meal/snacks of nearby diners; perhaps next time! Not to be missed.

We stayed at the hotel here and came here for lunch. 1st of all absolutely beautiful hotel. 2nd absolutely gorgeous Bar. Just breathe taking. Amazing service, super attentive. We had the best burger, not only looked beautiful bit tasted amazing too. If you are in lyon wanting to grab a drink and hangout at a beautiful bar, maybe craving a good bacon cheeseburger this is the place for you.

Cocktails are expensive €21, ambitious. The one I had, Nyx, was a little too sweet. The space is gorgeous. The dome of the Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon was designed by Jacques-Germain Soufflot in the mid-18th century. It follows neoclassical principles with a tall drum, evenly spaced windows, a lantern crowning the top, and decorated coffers. Inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, the dome reflects Soufflot’s admiration for classical antiquity.

The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. One of the ones personable experiences I’ve had at a bar in France. We stayed for 5 nights and they provided the same exceptional service each night, greeting us warmly each time. Also some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back!
