Probably one of the bigger craft beer pubs in Lille, with 20+ draft beers. Mainly French craft breweries, with a very nice variety of styles. Styles are marked with clear icons. You can ask for a small taster to sample if you prefer a beer. Prices are very fair. Cosy atmosphere, nice seating area at the bar or windows.

I love this bar! We've been to Lille twice and wouldn't miss a visit. Excellent, friendly service and superb beers, which are varied and well priced. Beer lovers will love this fab bar, we will 100% be back next time we are in Lille!

Food rating is not relevant as this is only a beer bar but the beer is very good! A wide selection of both local and international beers, nice atmosphere, very cosy. Must-try place for any beer lover.

A nice place where the hosts know about their beer. Almost 24 beers on tap, it's one of the best draft beer places you can find in Lille and highly recommended to visit if you are into beer. It's unfortunate that tasting plate is not available on weekends; other than that..it's a cool place to have some nice craft beer with good options.

You can find very good cocktails at „bartown addict“. The bar is a really cozy and sweet place. I really would recommend that bar to my friends :)

Negroni was unique with special choice of bitters. Atmosphere and service were great. The ice in Negroni was not in one peace which was somehow suboptimal but the taste compensate it. I would definitely visit again.

Great cocktail place, the interior is very chic and the drinks are big good. Only drawback is that it took me 15min to get my drinks and almost the same amount in order for someone to take my order. But the wait was worth it

What an amazing place! You'd fall in love with the concept if you are a massive board game fan. We were left in awe by their collection of games and also the kindness of the staff. Must try if you visit Lille. Edit after 2 years: Came in again after 2 years but this time for longer time. Nothing much has changed in terms of vibes but the food is expensive and not qualitative. You can get a lot better food for the same price outside.

Friendly staff and good food. There’s a huge selection of board games, and it costs only 5€ per person. Also, no need to worry about the instructions, there’s people in charge of explaining the game rules to each table. It gets packed in the weekend so it’s recommendable to make a reservation on their website. On top of that, it would be nice to have some of the food from the brunch menu for dinner.

Amazing concept of board games and bars. We spent 4 hours playing many games. The sommeliers of games, advise you , and help you to choose amongst 2000 games!

Great place for Brunch, I had the pancake tower, which was plentiful and tasty, the peanut smoothie to go with it was unusual in a good way. The place itself is large and welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't get the chance to stay for a game or two, but will definitely be back!

Has the potential to be an amazing bar but unfortunately the service was far below average. We were told we weren’t allowed to play our own card games because they offer games to play - they wanted to charge us €5pp to play our own game… staff came across very rude and unfriendly. Disappointing as looked really good from reviews!

It was nice here. Very nice seating outside and service was good. My steak and fries was lovely and is highly recommended. However my mom ordered a medium rate steak and was served a very rare steak to the point where she did not eat most of it. Overall it was quite good as I enjoyed my food but it was unfortunate that my mom's dish wasn't as good as mine.

Delicious meat and beers are served with a smile. It's definitely a place worth visiting if you're a meat eater. I personally recommend ordering the L-bone stake or the truffle burger. Both are absolutely amazing.

Excellent service, delicious food and great atmosphere. We liked this place a lot. Steaks were delicious and cheeseburger was also tasty. Recommended dessert is the one with limoncello.

Food was pretty good, but we waited 1h45 for it (got the starter around 15 minutes after our arrival then had to wait 1 hour for the main dishes). The fries weren’t amazing. Cool ambiance though, and the terrace is nice in the summer.

Staff were friendly and responsive. Price was fair. The atmosphere was casual and inclusive, making individuals ease to dine alone here. The fries were awesome, despite the taste of veau lacked a bit sophisticated touch. Overall, it was still good enough to give 5 stars.

Nice restaurant area with an industrial vibe. Staff very nice and spoke English. Menu is steak as to be expected with a few other dishes. Croquettes and Iberico ham to start and so much ham and good quality. We both had fillet steak 300gr (the only size fillet on offer) so if you like a large steak this is the place to come. It was very tasty came with fries and a choice of sauces I had mushroom which was very nice. Had a nice bottle of wine with meal but no dessert as too full. We come again if on Lille. Please note the address on Google maps is wrong it is the street on the other side of the building but there was a note on the door.

Stopped in about 4:00 after a long day of travel and found the perfect spot to wind down and relax. Love the self-serve taps, and the staff was super patient and helpful. Haven't tried the food yet, but we will soon be back sitting on the shaded patio enjoying a burger or plat du jour.

Nice staff, efficient service and nice concept with a card to try different beers 🍻 and can choose which ones to try and the amount. Also love the starters that are at a reasonable price. Only disappointment was their champagne was served in a beer glass rather than a champagne 🥂 flute.

This place is a must for its unique beer tap self service concept. Well done for the great concept, we feeled welcomed and the food is good, as it is 'fait maison' with fresh product. We had a great time being there today and will certainly be back soon, wish the team a good continuation, Isabelle

It was a fun experience with a cozy atmosphere and nice service. English speaking and nice of them to explain how things work around. You need to draft your own beer from the 12 Taps available using a card. Such a nice experience and if you know how to draft a beer, it comes handy. Priced based on amount of quantity, so also super nice.

First time in Budapest but researched the best steak before we came and it did not disappoint ! It’s my partners birthday tomorrow too which I noted on our reservation and Suzy surprised him with dessert. 10/10 wish we could come back next week ! X

We loved this place. The food was excellent pub food, particularly incredible chips and the steak tartare...oh my. I has a really nice terrace for when the weather is good and a lovely area which is covered but kind of half in, half outside. My only reservation is that I just don't get the "pour your own beer" concept. Pouring a good pint is actually quite tricky and all too easy to f**k up. I can't help but think it would work for any other drink except beer but, hey, if you want wine they have plenty and they'll even pour it for you.

A place located at a busy district in the heart of old town of Lille. To start with, the Rue Royale was busy on a Thursday night and we found a table at this place as it was the only one having 2 tables. I walked in with my friend and ask the guys working there whether they still serve food, as in fairness was a bit late. They informed me that we have only 2 minutes left to order and I thank the guys for taking the order. I kinda regret it now to be honest. The gent that got our order was literally cold, with a poker-face on. No smile, no thanks, absolutely nothing. Food arrives a few minutes later, the guy dropped the food on the table, didn't talk and walked out. I had to call him back to give us some forks and napkins,as he didn't even care about it. Forgot to mention that the table was filthy, ash tray full ( we don't even smoke) and they didn't even care to clean it. Please note, 3 people were working at that moment, all of them talking behind the bar counter and only 3 tables ( including us) at the bar. Food it self terrible. Burnt fries, borderline raw onion rings and awful chicken nuggs. We barely ate anything and left ( photo provided). I don't recommend that place. It was empty for a reason I guess. I never , literally never leave a negative review, but oh my that was terrible.

Serves the best burgers! Good variety for meat eaters and they had a vegetarian option :) you have to get the mozzarella dippers!

After a huge track game, we ended up at this micro brewery. We ordered a variety of IPAs. The first one was quite tasty but the other ones were a bit too experimental. Not my cup of tea. Try for yourself though. Prices were rather steep as well. 5 EUR for 0,25l?!

Quite disappointed that they got rid of their extensive beer list, now only offering some boring staples. Their house NEIPA was offensive at best, though it could be a bad batch.

If you want the rudest service in Lille, visit the restaurant. Although I had Astrazeneca Vaccine double dosed, I was literally thrown out of the restaurant as they think the vaccines outside of the European Union do not exist. I had a QR coded vaccine certificate from India but of course it does not work in the European system. I have been in the EU for the last 4 month with this vaccine certificate travelling around different countries without any problem. Except coming here. Hell I have lived in EU for last 9 years never have seen such a rude stuff. If you are an international traveler visiting in this troubled time, stay away from this place.

A nice option in this area full of bars and restaurants. The ambient is nice and the service is friendly so what's not to like. Not a great deal of options, but those available were quite good (beers, wines, etc). They also have some cured meats and cheeses to accompany your drink but we didn't have anything cos we were going to a restaurant straight from there.

Loved this place so much we visited multiple times. Marie was lovely and gave us so many good recommendations for places to visit during our stay in Lille. Drinks are good and fairly priced. The venue is lively and has a fun atmosphere.

One of the great example of new trend wave for a ever changing scene for craft beer pubs. The place has a great craft beer selection and staff is very welcoming in explain and guiding you through the varieties of styles and tastes. Atmosphere is relaxing but not much seats around. Prices are not that friendly, but you are paying for exclusivity of tasting craft beers from small unique breweries from around the world, which can be in a very limited editions.

A lovely craft beer bar with very cute interior design. The place is quite small and packed, but it's ok. The craft beer collections are nice, the sausages also looks interesting, although we didn't try it as I don't eat pork or dried sausage. Each table has different style, even there's a table with a "Singer" sewing machine on it, or maybe it's a sewing machine table that was turned to be a customer table... Hmmm... Either way, it's really a very interesting place to be. 😊

Helpful and friendly bar staff. Limited choice of local craft beers (about 6 or 7 on tap) but ones we had were excellent. Bar snacks/tapas were great. Goats cheese toast was superb. Cool atmosphere and shabby chic decor inside.

Really great place to try delicious beers! We turned up at opening time and it very quickly had a nice vibe. Lots of locals who were super friendly and the staff were really helpful too. Great views and great beers - can’t go wrong. Looks like in the evening it would be quite busy and a great place if you wanted a lively night out with good beer and nice people!

We've been wanting to try this place for a while. Very cool atmosphere and excellent service, especially for France. The food left us a bit short. It was good, not amazing (for the price). Good wine list.

Terrible service, overpriced mediocre food. We waited for our food for over 1h. We had ordered wine, they forgot and when we reminded them it took an extra 10-15’ to bring it. The food was mediocre and the truffled rissoto had no trouffles, but they still charged it like such. Dessert took another 30’ to arrive. Extremely overpriced for the appalling experience. Subsequently to this review the restaurant replied discrediting it. They get creative with their made up stories. Perhaps better invest the time in improving the service ;)

We had a very nice cocktail in the bar downstairs before having the 4 course menu with wine pairings. The food and wine were fantastic and paired perfectly. It's a very nice setting as well, and great to walk through the gallery beforehand. The service was also superb. We tried to speak French but it's not good enough to understand the dishes and wines and the waiter kindly asked if we'd prefer English. All the serving staff spoke good English and were very friendly. Recommended if you want a top quality meal in an interesting atmosphere.

Amazing! Amazing place, amazing food and amazing people! We loved it!

Came with friends on a weekend trip to Lille at the end of April and it was fabulous. We all went for the 4 course menu and every course was delicious, both for the meat eaters and vegetarians. Two o of us also had the wine pairing and had our horizons broadened. Combined with really friendly service, a lovely building and an art gallery and it was a memorable evening that made our weekend…. We are even considering whether we can have another weekend to Lille, just to come back to this restaurant!

Lovely food, great service and unique location/venue! We went for the smallest set meal because we just had an amazing apero prior, which i will share my review separately! The staffs were excellent and very helpful. Small advice, reserve in advance! The venue was, obviously, an old archive building for the city of Lille. Ground floor is a bar! Lovely bar!

Disappointing and not quite what we were expecting from this bar. We visited whilst staying at the hotel as we thought it would be a great location to enjoy a cocktail and food. However the bar is very dark with small windows and has a very low black gloss ceiling which makes it feel claustrophobic. The windows being so small make the view hard to see from anywhere but directly at a table in front of the windows making the whole place very dark. We ordered cocktails which were nice, however we also ordered a charcuterie board, but after an hour we hadn’t received our food and hadn’t been offered any further drinks so we asked for the bill and left. The staff member was apologetic and was surprised we hadn’t received our food. Seems we were completely forgotten about. We were glad to leave though with it being so dark inside, and instead we enjoyed the view, food and drinks at another restaurant in Grand Place which was much more enjoyable.

We were welcomed with “bar closed in 20min” eventhough the reception said 00.00 and online on Google you can see it’s until 00.00 too. Cocktails arnt good, view is average cause the windows are small. You’ll have a better view in the restaurant underneath it. The hotel is nice though.

What a great introduction to our weekend in Lille. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, they serve extremely fast. They have a short selection of dishes, but very well made, perfect for sharing, mixing both modern and traditional food. Everything was very tasty and refreshing, not what you see everyday. The place is super vibey tooand prices are fair.

Hours vary, but the place is really worth a visit. The layout is cool, staff is friendly and the menu is full of great localy produced food.

Racist against non-french... They let 5 (out of 6) enter from our group. The last one, not french and not drunk, they did not let in. Security was very aggressive and insulting. Not worth going. Try another place instead...

It's so difficult to internet search a good jazz club in France.Most clubs just post pictures of drinks, the bar, and food. I don't go to jazz clubs to eat. I want to see pictures of the stage, drum sets, and musicians performing. Why don't the French get this?

We booked a part of the bar for a celebratory event with ~19 people early September. The owner, Kevin, and his colleague Charles made our evening quite unforgettable. The communication around the booking was smooth & easy, and we agreed on a set budget for food & drinks beforehand. They spent the whole night making amazing cocktails for our whole group, until the bar's closing time (and maybe even a little after ;)). The snack platters kept coming in as planned, all delicious, and we were able to take off with the preparatory leftovers. Kevin & Charles were both incredibly welcoming and cheerful, helping guests pick flavours, and even creating original drinks on the spot to satisfy everyone's taste! The bar welcome more guests but everyone was served relatively fast all evening! The electro music playlist was also a great plus to set the mood. Definitely recommend the place for groups, or even just a tête-à-tête around cocktails & delicious snacks! Thanks again for helping us celebrate our occasion! Lifetime memories :)

Very bad service !! Not friendly welcoming , the security gard asked 10 questions before allowing us to go inside the bar (even raciste questions like where are you from??). Finally he lost 15 customers ready to consume some drinks !! Never will come back !!!

My reservation was supposed to be for upstairs but we were seated downstairs. The food we ordered downstairs is good probably after 10 beers but not good after 2. Very rich & heavy. Unfortunately not good for a proper dinner. Also there was a lot of chaos and disorganisation amongst the staff, which we witnessed. We had not been well attended to by certain staff members so make sure that if you have an upstairs reservation, then definitely go upstairs yourself. Hopefully the food is better there too.

We didn’t expect the portions to be soo big. We had a hard time trying to finish the food, and we couldn’t 🤣 The cheese sauce for the fries wasn’t a good choice, next time we will try another sauce. We came here because we wanted to try Welsh (right side), but it’s not for us. It was interesting to try but it was just too much and too beer-y. We’d love to come back and try other dishes from here 😊 The vibe here was also very nice.

Has a great vibe, people are friendly. But after I was decisive between beef burger or fried chicken burger, the emoloyee told me to get rhe beef burger, its great. Their beef fat fries are delicious, pizza is also pretty good with the cheese sauce and caramelised onions. Beef burger was horrible, the beef buns were dried out like stale bread, the beef patty was not cooked through, which is okay, but it was so dry the beef patty crumbled and starter breaking, cold and bland flavour. Beetroot ketchup was amazing, but could not save the burger. Toilets are also not very clean, with broken equipment. The staff are very friendly and inviting personalities. But their kitchen needs to move the food once it is ready. I often saw food ready to go, sitting underneath the heat lamp, essentially drying out the food.

It’s really about taste … I haven’t really appreciated my experience. The person I was with did liked everything except the dessert 🍮 that was dry from both our points of view. It’s an experience, a complete one. You like it or not- you don’t have any choices except for your choice of drinks (not on the menu) among what is proposed (beers, wines, water ) and choosing to taste a really delicious appetizer , (not on the menu) I have really experienced big chefs food’s. They are always unexpected and impossible to discuss the taste ! But for me, this experience wasn’t fine and yummy 🤤 It’s impossible to adjust to personal taste . It’s a choice of experience I didn’t appreciate. For 28€/pers you have a starter, a main plate ( 3 different plates ) and a dessert. That’s correct . The restaurant was full .

We ordered, waited there for a whole hour (not exaggerating) and when we asked when our food was coming they told us there was only one guy in the kitchen. A few other people were waiting really long too. 4 waiters outside and 1 guy in the kitchen???? We ended up leaving without having lunch because we had to travel back home. Really unpleasant experience 😞

Unbelievable beer, exceptional food and amazing philosophy. Went twice in 24 hours, would’ve gone far more times were I in Lille longer. Beer list is fabulous, with a nod to locally foraged herbs. It's a nice antique bar with the music of the 80s and 90s with the setting of lots of old things such as the superheros to cartoons to other old memorabilias. Regarding price it's a little above average, but I found this place worth a visit.

Second time in Lille and this was the first place we visited on our return, as it is an exceptional bar. Lovely, friendly owner who is happy to help with drink recommendations, and the beer is superb and well priced. We will 100% be back and an absolute must visit for beer lovers!

Lovely place - the very best bartender and the place is very atmospheric and inviting. Beers were top notch with a large variety catering to different needs. The bartender went through all the beers with me and provided helpful recommendations for the flights. Price point also very affordable . Highly recommended

Could be my favourite craft beer bar in Lille. They have interesting beers in tap as well as tons of bottled veers with reasonable prices. On the upper floor, they have larger tables and I saw people were playing some biard fames there. It's indeed a very cizy and interesting place to drink tasty beers and hang around with friends. Ohh, and the staff was super friendly and speaks English very well, which always very helpful! 😉

Amazing little beer shop tucked away on a quiet little side street. There were 7 beers on tap (I tried 4 and loved 3 of them) and something like 150 others in a bottle. The price is reasonable, and the bartender was friendly. Food from next door was offered, but extremely limited selection. This is more a place to start or or end your evening at.

We liked this place a lot! The service was great, so were the snacks and cocktails. It was a bit crowded so sometimes it felt too cosy, and there could be more on the menu in terms of vegetables like tempura for example. But overall we really enjoyed ourselves! The chicken was a highlight.

I don't know why this post has taken me so long. This is the BEST bakery in all of Clovis/Fresno, hands down! Their breads, cakes, and pastries are all amazing. They also have the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. I always buy some for friends and family and it's always a hit.

One of the best places to have a chat while enjoying a drink. Large choice of beers. (local and Belgian mostly) there is a nice atmosphere the barmaids are nice and benevolent,there are 4 inside rooms and there's also an inside small courtyard where you can smoke and have a chat or just unwind. You can often find live musicians playing different styles of music. And on the walls paintings or photographs for sale.

The place is small so do not expect a big table when you have a big group. There is no decoration and the music is so low that can completely forget about it. Sometimes it is a good thing though. Basically, this is a bar to drink some usual alcohol, that is all. And this is no cheaper so there are some better choices nearby.

The drinks are nice (mojitos are really really good !!), Not too expensive, the place is nice with rooms you can book and use for private events. You can even bring your own food. The crew is nice, the place is too, it's really a good place to be ! I recommend it!

A great craft beer place. Good amount of seating inside and out. They serve fresh waffles with sweet and savoury toppings for food but I didn't try it. The triple filtered pale ale was excellent and I was told that the owner makes it themselves. The cherry beer was also good. Friendly service.

Saturday, 11 AM. I walked into this café to order two Americanos. I left with three Americanos, one beer, and a serious reflection on my life choices. The man serving was a lovely monsieur, an old French gentleman. Since we both speak Latin languages, I thought this would be easy. Non. Instead of using actual words, I relied on finger-pointing, which was about as useful as trying to pay with Monopoly money. Somewhere between my frantic gestures and his polite nods, my “two Americanos” became three plus a beer. At 11 AM. On a Saturday. As someone who is sober curious, this was not exactly the plan. But the real highlight? Some people waiting at the bar turned to stare, not at me, but at the beer. Interesting breakfast choice for sure. To be clear, this was not the Frenchman’s fault. He executed my absurd order perfectly. The problem was me, who somehow turned a simple coffee order into a full-on social experiment. Service was excellent, the place is fantastic, and if you enjoy a little public humiliation with your morning coffee, this is the spot. Highly recommend, just bring a translator, a visual aid, or someone else to order for you.

Some of the best beers we had in Lille, if you like craft beers this is the place for you. Great sitting outside and watching the sun go down over the Cathedral square. They do pancakes, savoury and sweet and have darts and table football too. Friendly staff.

Martin was a legend, he saw me doubting which beer to choose and let me taste them. Cafe with 20 draft beers; all fine craft beers. The terrace is located right next to the Cathedral. But this is disappointing. It is reminiscent of McDonalds' terrace. Could be so much better.

Great bar serving, beer, wine and pinxtos. Friendly and arm welcome from the bar lady made us feel at home. The pinxtos were very good and ate on the lively street opposite another little beer hall. Great bar in Lille and adds an interesting offering of Pinxtos to the area.

Popped in for a quick drink before getting the Eurostar, the staff were very welcoming as soon as I stepped inside. The cocktail menu appeared to be based on seasonal and sustainable aspects. Very attentive, helped me with recommendations and the cocktail I had was excellent. They offer a small selection of bar type food; I ordered a truffle mushroom houmous which was served with bread and was delicious! 10/10 and definitely one to visit when in Lille!

We had a great lunch here on a bank holiday before my husband boarded the Eurostar to get back to London. It is only a few minutes walk from the station, but worlds away from the tat and chain cafe rubbish that is Lille Europe. The menu is small, everything beautifully cooked, delicious and delicately presented. We shall return.

The cocktails were amazing, I had lapsang soushong and marmite, yes marmite and it came in a smoking teapot, brilliant. The first cocktail was vodka, rose and verveine - really lovely. Get there early though, as places are limited and it fills up really quickly. We arrived at 5pm.

Best Brunch location I ever visited, artistic, unique and a very wide at thesame time well organized menu. I so loved the Banana Cake plus the pancakes 🥞. Infact I believe all they serve is great and will definitely recommend to anyone. It’s not an open buffet but it’s ideal for a calm Sunday afternoon brunch.

We were seated outside because "there were no seats inside". The food came out cold. It's also very expensive for what it is, almost 20 euros for a slice of bread with eggs. That said, if we were seated inside we probably would have had a better experience...

Always a nice place to have brunch with friends. The prices are not the cheapest but the quality and portions do compensate it. I’ve been here for brunch twice in the last 2 years and I can say they have consistency in the quality of the food. If there weren’t so many places I needed to try I’ll go back more often.

Very cool place for a breakfast/brunch, coffee and cakes! 🥪 We had a toast with scrambled eggs, mushrooms, onion and bacon. It was pretty nice and big. 🍰 Red velvet cake and brownie with hazelnut were both amazing. They were all delightful and made the atmosphere so nice. We had few of them serving our tables (taking order, serving coffee, serving food) and they were all super nice! 🏠 Place on it's own looks cool and has few levels with a lot of places to sit. 💲💳 What I found the most useful is the fact that you can pay through the qr code of your table. There is no need to call the service or wait, you just pay and say it at the exit so they can check and that's it.

Place was good. I was aksed if I had a reservation while I didn't. But it had no problem and I got a table. Food was good, kinda of a already ready menu. It was giving quickly. Coffee was good too. Inside design was so cool, stairs up, to place with natural lights. There is a shop aslo.

They have a nice wine sélection from most french regions. We took the planche of the day at 25€ and dome extras a bottle of wine and the end we paid around 33/per person It's value for money comparing to other wine bars of the area.

Went here last night, 27th September, had a great evening, got recommended a perfect white that my wife loved and a red for me that was to die for. Spent the evening there and a was happy to pay for the service received. Went back tonight for more of the same, sat in the same seats at the bar, only to be rounded on by the most obnoxious and rude person I've met. Asked us where we were sitting, we said here and he said "absolutely not, I don't have people sitting at my bar (what are the 8 bar stools there for, you may think), all tables are booked, you'll have to leave." We literally left, whilst the other staff looked at their feet, I wouldn't pay your hard earned cash to such an unwelcoming owner / manager.

NU is one of the best rooftop restaurants in Lille, and I’m so glad we managed to get a table for our anniversary dinner, even with a last-minute decision. Charlotte was incredibly sweet; when our main course arrived a bit late, she offered us a complimentary glass of champagne.

The place and the view is great. they have different places we were on the roof bar. But the problem is there was almost no alcohol in the cocktail "Salvage Colada" So if you want mocktail instead of cocktail with the center view, try the roof bar or else you can skip.

Having planned an event based solely from reviews this place didn’t fail to impress. I’ve planned events in most countries for high profile clients and this was right up there with the best. The food was simply outstanding, the staff are extremely helpful. It was nothing short of outstanding. It is located in a beautiful region in the city of Lille, beautiful panoramic view with a river. Beautiful ambiance, nice beer friendly owners and the food is homemade ( the down side not a lot of choices). Great experience. To enjoy it to the max go with funny people.

Had a pleasant Sunday brunch with such a chill and cosy atmosphere located in Vieux Lille. Very satisfying portions and the food is tasty. In love with the colors of the restaurant as well as their selection of music.

We just missed the brunch menu concept of having a juice, coffee etc in 1. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Just a little slow with serving. We stopped for a coffee on a warm day whilst travelling through the city. We did not eat from their menu, but the pub was clearly popular with many people enjoying the outdoor seating for brunch in the sunshine. The service was good and the staff polite. Location is quite nice and the service was good - friendly lady, but how can you charge €13.90 for a gin tonic like this? Drinks in general are overpriced for what they are. Pints of any beer are €9.50.

Very good place to drink and eat something in Beauvais city centre. Staff is very gentle and they speak English well. Place is tidy and clean, very organised and with an english style. Le Bureau is open when almost every other restaurant in Beauvais is closed. We went on a Friday evening after our flight arrived from Birmingham and again on Sunday evening. Only other choice in the city seems to be Chinese restaurants at these times. The food is good and the Steak au cheval is made with beef to my evident relief. I ate this both times. The beer prices are really high. £8.14 for a 50cl beer is the second most expensive ' pint' I've ever bought - only exceeded by Swedish cask conditioned ale in Stockholm. Double what I pay in our local. Staff are good and friendly.

This place was really good. The bread, the hummus, cheese, the drinks and desserts, all so good. I did remove a star because so many of their dishes had pork or shellfish I resorted to eating a grilled cheese sandwich.

Great place. Warm hospitality, good wine including a good choice by the glass, and good food. The barmaid was exceptionally friendly and helpful and spoke good English, which compensated for my bad French. It was a cold and wet evening when I went in and the place made me feel warmer and drier just buy it’s atmosphere! And, of course, centrally located.

We read the great reviews about La Dame Jeanne so had to visit during a trip to the Arras Christmas market. We weren't looking for a restaurant meal and so the small plates menu was perfect for us, and the food was very good. We sat in the cellar and had exceptional table service, particularly enjoying talking through the extensive wine list. The service was outstanding and we were made very comfortable. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for lunch the following day. Highly recommended.

What a delight to have found this. A lovely wine bar, with an excellent selection of wines that all come with a story and are all unique. We had a great welcome, wonderful advice and some delicious snacks to go with the wonderful wines. On top, we got some great tips for exceptional things to find in town and a lot of kindness and warmth. This is really a good place to spend an evening in Arras.

I booked online which I couldn’t seem to get confirmed, but a quick visit at lunchtime proved all had been received for our evening meal. We were a group of 14 including 2 with limited mobility (wheelchair and scooter). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was plenty of space in the restaurant and a very wide menu selection. The food was great - lots of choice for the 3 younger children and 2 teenagers, plus some excellent more exotic choices for adults. I’d say you could eat simply here with reasonably priced burgers and also push the boat out a little without being too expensive for a celebration meal, which we were having. The staff were attentive, we got by with the little french that we had and the slightly more English that the staff spoke. They catered admirably for a little birthday celebration at the end and all the staff sang in English for us. Beer selection was good and it was great to find a local IPA - the third one I’ve found around here. Soissons itself has lots to explore - well worth a day.

Found this place hidden from the Main Street at the heart of the old Boulogne. We hadn’t booked (recommended) but managed to get a table for two. Great menu for sharing players or individual dishes. The restaurant is separate from the bar area and dogs are welcome, which is always a bonus for us. Good was delicious and very well presented as you can see from the pictures 👌

Such a great place in the heart of the old walled town! Absolutely delicious food. Really cool mix of French style dishes and some fusion elements like leek sushi or deep fried pork belly and soy glaze. Lots of places in France (like the others on the same street) serve traditional food which is great, but so so nice to have something a bit different too. Also went there for some cider whilst exploring the basilica and chateau on another day. Would very much recommend!

Thank you to Marcel, the owner, for making it a memorable evening. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a fantastic time at Chez Marcel. My husband is a massive fan of craft beer and was delighted to find craft beer in Arras. The owner was extremely friendly and knew everything about the beers. There was a great variety of beers available but what impressed us the most was that so many were locally brewed. This place is a real gem and a great place to promote the French craft beer scene.

Absolutely adored IN VINO, I went a couple of times during my stay in Compiegne. It was excellent quality, value for money and a nice atmosphere. The wine I had was amazing, and the owner gave me fabulous recommendations. It got busy very quickly, it's obviously very popular. Manon was a great host, she helped me with the translations and described everything on offer. When I I went by the next day she helped direct me to where I was headed. Would happily visit travel to Compiegne again just to go to IN VINO. Truly warmed my stay.

Went there in summer so this is a pending review. This part outdoor and part indoor restaurant and bar is situated next to the small jardin des geants near Lille city. A refreshing change for summer walks. On the restaurant the service is average and we were served in damaged plates without the server even changing them. The next server was more friendly and at least managed to save the meal. Toilets weren't super clean. Will go there again only for the ambience in summer.

The cafeteria is fine, nothing really special. But the garden is amazing, the heads of the “giants” some of the clear water and just the plants. Go take a look at the garden if you have time. But as I said the cafeteria wasn’t anything special.

Really horrible service. I order a tea and the wait gives me a tea pot with nearly 3/4th empty. When I ask for a refill to be done with a new tea sachet, the waiter shows his straight attitude as if he doesn’t give a damn about us. Terrible attitude of the entire staff and I sincerely hope that nobody else visits this place. They don’t even deserve a single star.... I am extremely disappointed by the entire ordeal.

Great place in a very charming small town. On our way from Cologne to Paris we decided to stop before arriving at the big city for lunch and we randomly found this place. Very good food, amazing tartare steak and you should definitely try the local IPA! It is definitely worth stopping by.

A genuine and wonderful local French bistro just opposite the excellent Mercure hotel. Cosy with a great menu so good for families, but also several French specialities for us Brits looking for the last few remaining decent restaurants in France. Excellent wine too, I recommend the Gamay.

Visited on 1st July 2025. Avoid at all cost. We have travelled extensively around France and we have always experienced fantastic service and hospitality. Until now! We waited almost 30 minutes to be served and despite getting the barman/waiter's attention on a number of occasions he appeared to do everything and anything he could rather than come and take our order, so we left. If this was my business he would be the last person I'd employ because he'd cost me business and money. Shame because it's people like him who give the French an undeserved reputation of being arrogant, when 99% are fantastic.
