Bruges, the capital of West Flanders in northwest Belgium, is known for its picturesque canals, charming cobbled streets, and well-preserved medieval architecture. The city's port, Zeebrugge, serves as a significant hub for fishing and European trade. Visitors can explore the historic Burg square with its impressive 14th-century Stadhuis (City Hall) and the Markt square featuring a 13th-century belfry offering panoramic views from its 83m tower.

Located in a historic building dating back to 1632, 't Brugs Beertje is a renowned Belgian pub that offers an extensive selection of over 300 Belgian beers, including five on tap. The cozy and classy atmosphere is adorned with beer memorabilia, creating an old-school charm. With a focus on high-quality Belgian brews, the pub has gained a reputation as one of the best beer cafes in the country since its opening in 1983.
Great place to spend the evening with friends and locals. There is a huge choice in beers. The bartenders were very helpful in advising what to drink, i found them very knowledgeable. There are some snacks you can order like cheese and sausages. We had a great time on a Saturday evening.
Anna L — Google review
This place is and seems to have always been about Belgian beer. Smack in the downtown Brugge, looking quite historic and honest, there’s plenty of locals intermingled with tourists here. The beer selection is truly the only thing you should care about, especially if you actually want to try a bit of everything from Belgium. A few simpler commercial options are flooded with a ton of smaller producers and, even if you don’t love Belgian style beer, you will enjoy yourself and the experience of tasting the many shades of beer here. Truly a must when in Brugge.
Yevgen G — Google review
We finished our trip to Bruges there, and I can't imagine a better place to relax and enjoy a good beer. The menu offers a massive variety of options, with high quality at a very competitive price. We also really enjoyed the food
Leandro H — Google review
A pretty spectacular place oozing with charm and character. Eye catching patterned floors, old wooden tables which could tell a thousand stories, old style gloss paint and flamboyant wallpaper and brewery signs adorn the walls. Brugs Beertje boasts both great draft options and an extensive and impressive bottled beer list that will cater for those new to Belgian beers and also highly accustomed beer nerds. I highly enjoyed a bottle of De Cam which was both jammy and tart, and went wonderfully with a plate of cubed cheese, pickles and delicately chopped red pepper with a firey mustard. I finished on a draft 15% Belgian Italian imperial stout which was very worty and thick! It is perhaps among the more tourist-heavy beer spots I've seen in Belgium but equally it was delightful to hear a range of nationalities enjoying their visit. Service was fantastic and I felt well looked after. All well-run establishment well worth visiting. I very much look forward to returning.
Scott C — Google review
Fantastic! Classic Belgian pub, with an incredibly big selection of beer. And lots of local folks
Riccardo L — Google review
A great beer bar with a unique atmosphere, frequented by locals—always a good sign! Be prepared to spend some time choosing from their vast selection of Belgian beers.

What a stunning place! This is the authentic belgian beer pub itself! Great beer, great service, friendly atmosphere! Yes!

Best bar in Bruges as far as I'm concerned. Fantastic choice of beers both in draught, and in bottles. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the bar has a fantastic cosy and homely vibe.

De Garre is a charming and cozy watering hole located in a historic building, offering a wide selection of regional beers and snacks. Unlike other popular bars in the area, De Garre exudes a local vibe with its butter yellow tablecloths and classical music, creating a homely atmosphere. It is known for serving the intense Tripel van De Garre, making it an exclusive destination for beer enthusiasts.
This is a “Must Visit” in Brugge (Bruge)! You will miss it if you don’t look closely for the alley way. And this is NOT the Brasserie either. Once inside find a table preferably upstairs, and be seated. The bartender will come over and take your order.
R D — Google review
Small and very welcoming place. The staff is a bit pushy, because they need to change the tables as quickly as possible. Great selection of beers, although a bit expensive for the quantity offered. You can't choose, there is only 25cl. We also had a toasted ham and cheese but the bread was really poor, and also the products inside. For €9 I expected a good sourdough bread.
Andrea A — Google review
They ware closed on Sep 23 when I visited them the first time but my persistent pays off! It is a legendary place for many foreign Belgian beer lovers. It is the place you need to visit for once in your lifetime! Very simple bar only sale beer and soft drinks for kids. When you order your beer, they will accompany your beer with a small plate of cheese. That’s it! But the beer is really good!
Steven C — Google review
The house beer, De Garre Tripel is what all beer should be. Also their Gulden Draak on tap is nice. They have lots of other beer on menu to try. Good vibes and free cheese too
Miles P — Google review
This is a hidden gem located down a tiny alleyway close to the main square in Brugge. At the end of the alleyway there is a set of steep steps leading a somewhat anonymous doorway. Beyond that door is a wonderful, atmospheric "olde worlde" bar with a fantastic selection of beers served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Try the house tripel it is excellent. Do not miss this bar. You may have to be a little be patient and wait for a seat on busy days but it is worthwhile.
Cliff P — Google review
This place is hidden down narrow alley and only found via recommendation. A nice little cosy beer bar with their own local drinks. I had 2/3 beers including the house triple. Also had the pate which was a good snack Bar man was helpful and friendly. Would of gone back. With location it's full of tourist but as per try something different and you can enjoy it. Could imagine it's great on cold night. Got free cheese with beer which was nice touch.
Lyle A — Google review
Fantastic local pub with a hidden entrance. Ancient building, tongue in cheek service. Love it! Considered not reviewing so I don't contribute to even more tourists like me 🤭 there. But they do deserve the creds. It's one of those places, IDK. (Food might be better, we just had the cheese with beers)
Kristian T — Google review
This bar is a true hidden gem in Bruges. Tucked behind a narrow entrance, it opens up into a super cozy, old-vibes kind of place that feels like a secret spot only locals know about. The atmosphere is warm and charming, with seating both upstairs and on the ground floor, though the overall capacity is still on the smaller side which adds to its charm. Their drink selection is incredible whether you’re after a high-end champagne, a classic beer, or anything in between, they’ve got it. It’s not just a bar, it’s an experience. Definitely worth checking out

Had a wonderful meal of pigs cheeks what were amazing and my friends mussels were to die for. and a fabulous selection of drinks that i would highly recommend to beer connoisseurs. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. 5 star service and open until 2am

Great place to visit. Excellent food, friendly service, large selection of beers and dogs are welcome. Next stop in Oostende we will visit again.

Great pub off the busy promenade. Table service and amazing selection of beers. We didn’t eat so I cannot comment. Staff are very helpful.
Owen M — Google review
Never seen so many different beer sorts in any Pub or restaurant. This place is exceptional!
Jolantas G — Google review
Like a British pub. The beer was good and most of the food was great. The service was uncoordinated though and not helpful. As a big group we were only allowed to order 5 different dishes because the kitchen would otherwise be overwhelmed. Then they forgot to order two of our meals in the kitchen. When asking to split the bill, we were asked to do the calculations ourselves.
Sophie S — Google review
Great place, probably one of the Best in the area. The flamenk stew really tasty, good variety of great tasty beers. Great place, cozy and warm. Dont miss it.
Arsenio F — Google review
What a wonderful day and lunch at Café Bottletje. The waitress was very helpful and professional. The food was yummy, huge fan of beer cooking! The Brewer Menu is very nice. We took some sharing plate before the main course, everything was great. Maybe the beer menu is a bit complicated to handle and to understand and would need a refresh otherwise great choice of products
Alexandre G — Google review
A special place for special people who like to drink beer out of all kind of glasses. People who haven't found their one drink yet, adventurous people with a taste for danger. The food is really nice as well, and you should eat, there has to be a base for all the beer you will drink. I pity the person that has to clean all the glasses.

Amazing place for beer and snacks (olives and a grilled cheese/ham sandwich). We came to a night of Blues. The band was amazing!!! Staff with great personality.

Fine place, not so noisy or crowdy. Only 2 people serving: one at the bar, one at the tables. Sometimes you might have to wait for a while.

What an awesome place!! Walk down the steps and enter a warm, cozy bar with local drafts. Fireplace. Cold beer. Great snacks. Blues music. What more could you want? On a rainy, chilly day, this was exactly what we needed.
Trish D — Google review
Our second visit to this subterranean bar in 4 years and it was just as good as the first. The owner provides excellent service and has a great insight into all the beers he serves, a true professional. We enjoyed our time there and will definitely return.

Great ambiance, great service, wide selection of beers and good music - what else would you need from a nice night out. If you're a bit artsy, into blues and/or craving for good craft beers, this is your place!

I was not there for a blues session but it looks like a great venue. Down steps from the street, mind your head. Friendly and comfortable and a very good selection of beers.

Blue Buddha Beach in Ostend is a trendy and stylish beach bar with light blue accents in its interior, creating a unique and modern atmosphere. It offers a wide selection of beverages and cocktails at affordable prices, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the sea. The bar often hosts special shows and events, accompanied by great music that adds to the lively ambiance.
The best beach bar in oostende. The great location and wide choice of beverages make it a perfect spot to hang out. Awesome music with cool breeze from the sea and the shining sun 🌞 a glass of mojito is all you need. Definately worth a visit if you are in oostende. You are missing something if you have not been here.
Arpan B — Google review
The location is nice, don’t get me wrong. Considering the prices you are paying for drinks, you still have to pay for the toilet. Even after consulting the staff about having to use the washroom badly and not having any cash, they couldn’t even spare the money or spend the money for the washroom. Very disappointed. There is also only self service. The staff is mostly friendly tho. In total bad management ( washroom/ self service) and very high prices for drinks. Can not recommend
Moritz S — Google review

Steven L — Google review
Queues for everything? It’s not that hard to have things on the table. I came alone, and I had my things with me. Every time I wanted something I had to go to the bar, make a line, order, then wait, then go to a line to wait for what I ordered again... all that time my table was alone with my things. You guys can also charge something for table service if the reason is money, I’m sure people would want to pay. Additionally, my table was completely full of water (think from drinks) when I came. No one came to clean. Food and music is good though. I also passed before, searching the beds to lie and tan... there were not beds.
Laura P — Google review
Its all about having a drink on the beach... Long queues and on top of the high prices without service you also need to pay to use the restrooms (think this is a bit redicules) but still worth a visit.

A nice modern summer bar with delicious cocktails and snacks. It is a little on the expensive side and you have to be careful if you're sitting in the basket chairs as they sink in the sand when you go sitting on them, but other than that, a great summer bar experience.

NH Brugge is a captivating hotel set in a 17th-century monastery, now a classified building. Situated in the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Venice of the North, this upmarket property offers an array of amenities including a restaurant, bar, gym, and free Wi-Fi. With 149 rooms and convenient access to Bruges Concert Hall and the old Markt, NH Brugge provides an excellent location for exploring the city.
We spent one night here, and it was perfect! The beds and pillows were very comfortable and it was the best AC i ever had in a hotel - quiet, very efficient. We were there when the temperature outside was +32, so it made a huge difference for our holiday.
Anna — Google review
We had a wonderful stay here for a stopover on our way from the UK to The Netherlands. The hotel location was fantastic - only a couple of minutes away from the city centre set in a beautiful cobbled street. The staff were extremely helpful with lots of local tips of sights to see and places to eat. Our room was spacious beautifully clean and tidy - the beds were so comfortable and we all slept really well! I think the breakfast was the best I have ever had in terms of the choice and quality. Although there are some negative reviews on here in terms of the decor, we loved the traditional feel of the hotel which added to its charm and authenticity. Brugge itself is absolutely stunning and we all can’t wait to visit again.
Rebecca D — Google review
A lovely hotel with spacious rooms, the location is walkable to the station and right in front of T'zand square. The staff was warm and courteous, and the breakfast spread was notably inclusive to various dietary requirements like vegans and vegetariana. The rooms were comfortable but did have issues like plumbing and insufficient lighting. I heard renovation is underway, so it will all perhaps temporary issues. Overall a lovely place to use as a base and explore the wonder of Bruges
Samhita B — Google review
We loved this hotel. Amazing location. Really great service. And we also left our son’s beloved stuffed animal and they kept it safe. And a special thank you to housekeeping for being so wonderful and walking us through the process to get it shipped home. Highly suggest this hotel!
Kipp J — Google review
Beautiful hotel situated on the edge of the main area of Bruges, meaning its an incredibly short walk to get into the city centre whilst also being a quiet place to stay. The hotel décor and architecture was also very charming. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast service was brilliant. The hotel also has a nice terrace to have drinks that you can buy from reception. All at a reasonable price!
Jake C — Google review
Been there for a business seminar, food is extremely good (all 3 meals throughout the day; from buffet breakfast to dinner) bar is as bit old, could use a renovation. Would 100% recommend for business or pleasure. Room is super comfortable, very clean and very well renovated with dark colors on the wall and quality furniture. Great snacks during coffee breaks between presentations. All necessary IT material in meeting rooms. 10min walk from Bruges station and 5min walk from city center. Great experience all and throughout!
Claire E — Google review
We stayed at this hotel with young children and were extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. It was in deplorable shape, especially the bathroom, which had visible stains. This is not only unacceptable but also makes the room unfit for use — far below the standards expected from NH Hotels or any hotel. — particularly the bathroom — raises serious health concerns, as clearly shown in the photos. We urge management to address this issue immediately and take the necessary corrective actions. The exception was the Trump friendly staff.
Cristián S — Google review
Very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. They arranged a booking for us on a Sunday evening for a special occasion when many restaurants are closed. The carpets and seats in the room could do with a clean but otherwise very nice comfortable, large room. Very good position, next to a large market square with a great choice of bars and restaurants a minute away but then only 10-15 minutes walk into the centre of Brugges. As an added bonus it is only a 20 minutes walk to and from the railway station. We would stay here again if coming to Brugges.

Located in Bruges, 't Poatersgat, also known as The Monks Hole, is a hidden gem that challenges the perception of the city being only for affluent older visitors. Tucked beneath an ancient church, this underground cellar bar offers a spacious and candlelit ambiance. It attracts a diverse crowd of students and graduates with its great music, reasonable prices, and laid-back atmosphere.
Absolutely cannot recommend this place highly enough. This was our second visit to Bruges and we didn’t hesitate to head back here for our one drink of the day (driving, sigh…). It’s been done up a lot since we were last in town six years ago, but it’s still got a fantastic low-lit and chilled out vibe, accompanied by a frankly absurd selection of beers to choose from. The staff are so friendly and helped us find exactly what we were in the mood for. Needless to say, most importantly, the beers are just outstanding. DO NOT MISS!!!! 🍻🤤🍻
Jack G — Google review
This place surprised me a bit, it is a really cool bar and it feels super fancy when you go inside. The bartender was cool and got us. Good drinks but what I couldn’t figure out is that the place was empty. Maybe we got there too early, but we are at another bar in a cellar like this that was packed with people partying and having a great time. Maybe it’s just the vibe of this place and if you’re looking for something quiet and romantic and cool this would be it if you’re looking for a party there’s one nearby that’s similar.

“’t Poatersgat is definitely one of the must-visit bars in Belgium. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and the historic setting is truly impressive. The drink selection is wide and offers something for every taste. Most importantly, the staff are very friendly and attentive. Cool little medieval like cellar. Im 6'4 so had to squat down to get in the front door. Lots of beers on the menu. Servicd was fine. Atmosphere was cool. Was playing Bob Marley with 3 different Mr Bean episodes on 3 different TV at the same time so a bit funny.

Been a few years ago and not as good as I remember. Was popular on a Friday evening but very hot (mid September). Busy at the bar and didn't have some of the drinks we initially wanted but still good selection. Seem to recall had big benches and long tables, now replaced with smaller tables. Seemed a bit more cramped.

Den Toogoloog is a charming gastropub that strikes the perfect balance between sophistication and relaxation. The cozy and tastefully decorated atmosphere adds to the overall appeal of this highly recommended pub. In addition to its friendly service, Den Toogoloog offers a wide variety of specialty beers and delicious food throughout the day, making it a great spot for beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike.
Charming gastropub that hits that sweet spot between classy and casual. The cooking style is homely and our flavoursome dishes (lasagne and a baked fish pot) came in heartily satisfying portions. The beer menu: wow! Exemplarily-curated showcasing a selection of the very best ales from the very best breweries, certain to appeal to any serious Belgian beer lover, although the friendly staff were clearly knowledgeable enough to guide anyone less familiar. When the weather co-operates, the terrace at the back is a serene little oasis for al-fresco dining and soaking up the relaxed vibes. Great Belgian hospitality and a great reason to visit Middelkerke!

Wine glass had a crack on side. Bartender said it was not a crack and from dishwasher. Having owned a bar and been a bar tender. #1 Customer is always right #2 Obvious fracture on the glass. See picture. Felt it on my finger nail. #3 Costs nothing to replace and reputation is important. The atmosphere is great. Bar staff need better customer service training.

Nestled among lively shops, Joey's is a hidden gem that offers an intimate and somewhat unconventional experience. Formerly known for their restaurant Lieven, the owners have brought their culinary expertise to this cozy bar in the tranquil Sint-Anna neighborhood. Managed by locals, it exudes character and transforms into an intimate music venue. The dimly lit ambiance sets the stage for sporadic live performances, complemented by friendly bartenders and potent cocktails.
We were struggling to find an open bar as it was quite early and we stumbled across this hidden gem. The owner was really friendly so we ordered a beer and we grabbed a seat next to a sculpture of an Egyptian Pharaoh. If we weren't keen to explore the city we would have happily stayed here and enjoyed to good atmosphere and great beer.

Hotel De Orangerie is a luxurious accommodation located in the heart of Bruges, offering elegant rooms and suites in a 15th-century former convent. The hotel boasts a terrace with picturesque canal views, adding to its romantic and historic charm. With an opulent entrance and old-world grandeur throughout, the property exudes theatrical elegance. The English Country Manor style of the hotel's interior creates a light, floral, and rambling ambiance.
Absolutely 5+ Stars! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond—always greeting us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They were incredibly helpful in arranging dinner reservations, travel logistics, and sightseeing plans, making everything effortless for us. The property itself is beautiful—charming sitting areas, elegantly decorated dining spaces, and cozy, stylish rooms. Every detail felt thoughtful and inviting. Breakfast was a treat each morning, with an impressive spread of hot and cold options, fresh coffee, a variety of teas, and even champagne! A special shoutout to Chris and Corine—true superstars! I wish I could remember the names of the other lovely young ladies who were just as wonderful. This place is truly top notch. Don’t hesitate—book it!

Lovely, warm and inviting small hotel in. Perfect location to see Bruges. The staff were all very kind and helpful and went out of the way to assist us. Even the night staff prepared an early breakfast for our departure day. I would stay here again. We enjoyed the deluxe heritage room with a little more space and comfort. Thank you to the manager for her good work.

We had an impromptu trip to Bruges and chose this hotel by chance, they had only one room available left and we gladly booked. The hotel is cozy, charming and really chic, but the hospitality of the staff is extraordinary. They welcomed us with detailed explanation about the parking, a welcome letter to the hotel, a free welcome drink passes and a box of chocolates. The next morning we checked out and we received a bag of butter biscuits just because. 😊 It is a very good hotel and the only reason I give 4 stars to the rooms is because the bathroom of the room was in the hallway between the living room and the bedroom, and if somebody is in the shower, you cannot just go to the bedroom without violating their privacy. We had only one set of towels, of course, we got a second one when we asked. Another small recommendation is to have a small holder for the hand soap at the sink after unpacking and using the hand soap. Other than this, the hotel is really awesome.

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stepped foot in. From the attention to detail on decorating to the attention to detail on a coffee. The staff was superb. The Terrace was amazing. The rooms were the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen. Five out of 5 stars TEN times over.

I booked my stay at Hotel De Orangerie through Booking.com (Reservation #5397476986). On August 19, 2025, the full amount was already charged to my account. However, upon arrival on August 22, 2025, the hotel charged me again for the same stay. This is a clear case of double payment. I have already contacted the hotel and Booking.com requesting an immediate refund of the second charge. I sincerely hope this issue is resolved quickly, as it affects the trust that guests place in both the hotel and Booking.com.

One of the most charming hotels I have stayed at. Great location, room was spacious and modern, staff was very attentive and helpful.

What a beautiful, unique experience. We arrived nearer to noon than 3 but our room was ready. We were gifted chocolate, two welcome drinks from the bar, and a detailed walking map with a route outlined. Our receptionist had a beautiful smile and we felt perfectly welcome. Our room was a “Comfort room” with a view of the belfry tower. A few times we opened our window to enjoy the cool air, but majority of the time used our very effective AC. The room has a mini fridge/bar, a writing desk and enough access to charge our devices. The bathroom is marble with a hand held sprayer and a rain shower head. Instant hot water made the shower efficient and pleasant. The bedding was extra comfortable. I wish I could bring these sheets home with me! There were two super soft “throws” in the closet, which we used throughout the stay. We stayed three nights. During our stay we asked for extra water - they provide a bottle of still and sparkling every day, but I drink a lot of water- and extra coffee. One day I was sick and stayed in all day - they graciously left a basket of towels and supplies outside our door. The common areas are beautiful, warm colors, rich fabrics, beautiful wood paneling and elaborate fireplaces. We now wish we had switched our schedule and spent more time here. Not because of Bruges, but because of the quality of this experience. It’s not modern. It’s not busy or noisy, it’s perfectly complimentary to a stay in a medieval town. Just a half block off the “main” tourist path, it provides access to the sights (the boat tour starts just 1/2 a block away and directly behind the hotel on the canal). But still provides refuge from the crowds. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Good selection of local craft beers. Menu has even marked how far the breweries have located from the bar. Prices were very good. Some other local bars seemed to have similar price policy but nonetheless it was a lot cheaper than I'm used to compared where I come from. I ordered flight set of 6 from the Tap. Bartender was extremely generous with filling the glasses - every flight was at least 200 ml if not more. Only criticism from me is that I'm a beer snob and I'd have liked better selection of beers in terms of quality. They did have a lot of beers but nothing stellar. Would have liked of some better selection from de Ranke and Alvinne. Both are very prominent local breweries, instead they had s lot of Brussels beer project, that is mediocre at best.

Brouwerij de Sint-Sixtusabdij van Westvleteren is a 19th-century Cistercian monastery and Trappist brewery that's renowned for its world-famous Westvleteren beers. While the monastery itself isn't open to the public, visitors can enjoy these exceptional Trappist beers at the "In de Vrede" visitor center. Here, guests can also learn about the monks' way of life and their brewing traditions.
The beer is worth the trip. You have to make some effort to obtain this beer (order during specific timeslots and then pick up at later day at the abbey), yet totally worth it. Love the beer (taste and flavor) and also the product authenticity (production based on what they can produce locally in their abbey & they keep full control of sales process, no resellers, not found in stores). Total bucket list check off if you're a beer drinker. The best bottled beer in the world can be legitimately purchased here and nowhere else on the planet. The restaurant close by is quite nice with great views, beautiful 3km hike plus a little gift shop.
Ryan W — Google review
It's a lovely place to drink a famous and good beer. Is it really the best? Often you say "where can I get the best burger, the best pizza, the best seafood, the best whatsoever". It is a good beer, but in my opinion you can get other really good Trappist beer, like Chimay or Rochefort, which are also excellent! So you have to decide if it is YOUR best beer. I personally love the red Chimay and the green Rochefort. The Westvleteren 12 was good, but for me personally too strong. But as long as it is a Trappist beer you are in heaven. Also the cheese and bread is great. And you can get great ice cream with beer too. Highly recommended for Trappist beer fans!!

Great beer! Stopped here during a bike trip and the stop was worth it. The beer is amazing, the food was great and the service we received was the best. They have vegetarian options! They also have a gift shop where you can buy additional bottled beer, cheese and other goods.

This is a great gastropub serving Westvleteren Trappist beer brewed by the brothers from St. Sixtus/- monastery (and all part of the same site). It's open every day except Fridays and offers good food at reasonable prices from about midday to midafternoon (serving times alter on whether it's winter or summer). It has a little shop (which could be bigger) selling the brothers' produce, their beer but also cheeses, sweet things etc. You can order a crate of beer online from the monastery and collect by car, allow 5 days between ordering and collecting. There's a tiny chapel which is worth a visit and time for contemplation.

Once you are able to get through to the reservation phone line this becomes a nice place to visit. You do need some luck and perseverance to get your reservation (i.e. calling > 200 times in 10 minutes). Usually shop at “in de vrede” on the other side of the road sells six packs without reservation (max 2 per person). The beer is excellent and worth the money, especially the 12 is nice.

Went there yesterday with friends and really enjoyed it! The staff were super friendly, bathrooms were clean and even smelled nice, and the spot itself was quiet and relaxing. Chairs and umbrellas were decent too. It is a bit pricey at €48, and the food menu could definitely use more options (mostly just light snacks), but overall we had a great time. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

My Girlfriend went yesterday with 3 kids to order some drinks. They asked for a fresh apple juice that was sour and an apple and carrot juice that tasted heavily on ginger (not suited for kids). The owner came and told her that her taste was completely off and that she should never come here again. We rented a cabin there for the summer and have been loyal customer there with our entire Family. This is just an unacceptable behaviour and a poor leadership example. I do not recommend this place and we will gladly give our business somewhere else.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of draft beers with a tasting paddle while indulging in generous portions of Flemish stew, fried cheese, and homemade meatballs.
Absolutely brilliant place for beer and delicious food! Ordered three flights of beer and our waiter gave us all different beers to try which was great. Had the onion soup and the aubergine cannelloni, which were both excellent and food came quickly. Would definitely recommend
B W — Google review
Had a great meal at this lively, traditional brasserie. The absolute star of the show was the fish stew – it was incredibly rich, creamy, and packed with flavour. A must-try dish! The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which added to the great experience. While the beef stew was decent, the real highlight was definitely the fish. The sides we had, like the frites and mashed potatoes, were fine but nothing special. I would highly recommend coming here for the amazing fish stew and the bustling, classic beer hall atmosphere.

The food was very tasty and in a good portion. But it's sad I came for the mussel but it sold out 15 minutes before I ordered. Here they are famous about hare dish, but I was too scared to have it so I tried the beef instead with the same sauce. The wave was very tender, and the sauce was very fresh. The staff were very nice and helpful. They always smile and attentive.

Lovely restaurant to experience authentic Flemish cuisine! We tried the onion soup, stew, chicken, and salmon — everything was absolutely delicious. Although the place was packed, the staff managed to find us a table for four in under 10 minutes. It’s quite lively and a bit noisy, but you still have enough space to enjoy your meal comfortably. A charming, authentic spot in Brugge — highly recommended!

It was bustling in the mid to late afternoon, and outdoor seating was full, but we squeezed into a table indoors. We stopped in for a quick bite. We were able to get in relatively quickly and the service was prompt given how busy and crowded it was. The truffle mayo fries were incredible. We almost ordered more because my daughter practically inhaled them. The hot dog and beer were also quite as well. Great spot!

Great little wine bar near the square but tucked into a side street. They have a few tables outside and some good ones inside by the window. Lovely local wine bar in Bruges, friendly staff, good bites, nice selection of wines by the glass.
Andrew C — Google review
We sat to have some bites and something to drink. Very kindly and without any kind of rude demand, we asked the waiter for help with the menu as we don’t speak the local language. To my surprise we were told to use google lens and translator. This is not the kind of service we were expecting at all. We left straight away. We understand that giving five cents of the menu wouldn’t have taken more than 2 minutes.

we were recommended Blend by a friend for a change from all the beer. It was really good! The service very friendly and helpful suggesting us some wines to try. We also had a Meat Board to eat with our wine which was very tasty. The place was busy, we managed to get a window seat and watched the place fill up around us - the place was full of locals which is a good sign i think! Would recommend for wine, meat and cheese!

One of my favorite Ice-cream spot at De panne. They are wonderful . Just go and taste and then come and tell me about it ... it’s about balance between the savors , the perfumes ... I recommend this spot warmly ❤️

Cocktails were okay, but super sweet. The serving sizes are very generous. The service was a bit tricky. It took a while for the waiter to come to us. Then the cocktail. Then the cocktail wasn't served properly... It's okay.

I have visited the oasis bar since 15+ years however since a few years the waiter has become such an unfriendly person, the service isn‘t good anymore. Today i wanted to order a cocktail and icecream on the terasse. when my 5year old son wanted to finish his donut we bought at the bakery next to the oasis the waiter got angry and forbid our son to finish eating his donut. Following some stupid remarks („you‘re not going into a restaurant and bring your own steak!“), we left and are currently enjoying our much cheaper icecream and fresh cocktails on the beach… avoid this unfriendly location

I went with my wife to try this place and we chose a menu (5 scoops of ice cream) together. However, the waiter said that was not enough, each person had to choose a separate menu. We didn't find it very logical or friendly. We left there, I don't think I will go again.

I arrived at Oasis with a few friends tonight and we all felt very unwelcome. The waiter was rude and the 9€ mojito barely had alcohol in it. Bad service. Very rude. I won’t ever come back here again.

Gauthierz Brasserie is a classic bistro that serves large portions of delicious food. The burgers are extremely scrumptious, and the atmosphere is welcoming and quaint. This spot is perfect for starving tourists or anyone looking for a great value.
Service is excellent, but what really stands out is the atmosphere – warm, stylish and full of character. The menu is refreshing, every dish carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of seasoning. As locals from Bruges ourselves, the real reason we keep coming back is the classic spaghetti bolognese: pure perfection! A true example of how a Belgian bistro classic can be elevated to restaurant level. The taste is simply unmatched. Highly recommended!

Worst service and treatment ever received in Belgium. This place has a lot of potential. It's nice and quiet. We were traveling with a baby and the owner didn't let us sit in any of the empty tables not even for a few minutes. So rude...
Nestor C — Google review
Amazing service and hands down the best spaghetti in Bruges! The cozy, family-like atmosphere, complete with a sweet dog, makes you feel instantly at home. The hospitality is so warm and welcoming, and the food is just incredible, especially the spaghetti. It’s like being at home, but with even better spaghetti!

The Restaurant is very beautiful, YES its a restaurant not a bar in google maps. We found it like a bar, so we went and would like to take few drinks and some snacks. But it was not passible. The main waiter told, we need to take more dish in the BAR, because its a restaurat. The BAR was empty! The style is unacceptable. They greeted me rudely even upon arrival.

The owners are super nice, attentive, and open! A chill atmosphere with a great assortment of beer. An extra plus is their very cute dog that is running around. Only the food is a bit expensive but tastes good (11.80 for the Nachos).

It was an absolute delight to eat at this café. The aesthetics were brilliant, kind of vintage, the type of plave you just can't stop looking around you, a really cool atmosphere and og friendly (they even have a gorgeous Cocker Spaniel who sleeps in his bed or sits on his sopha to wait to be petted). The menu is only in Dutch (with some really cool linguistic jokes) but you can ask the waiter for advice or to translate it to English or French. The food was also very nice. The dishes are generous and it's worth the price (not too expensive but affordable considering it is in Brugge). We can recommend the pasta carbonara (real carbonata with egg and parmesan cheese and the mixed crocketts (order the shrimp one for a taste of traditional Belgian cuisine but only if you like nutmeg) 10/10

Ypra Inn - Øl Tankbier is a cozy and friendly spot located right next to the Menin Gate, making it a convenient choice for visitors. Despite its small size, the place exudes a local and authentic vibe, attracting both locals and tourists alike. The beer selection is commendable, with the stout being particularly noteworthy. While food choices are limited, the lasagne is described as incredibly tasty and satisfying after a long day of exploring or attending memorial services.

What a great, friendly place. Good beer, great location in the centre right next to the Menin Gate. And great cheese toasties! It’s not big, so gets pretty crowded, but it feels local and authentic, despite all the tourists (like us!) The server was on her own at one point and really really busy, but always smiling and helpful. Thanks for a good night.

Great location for the Last Post ceremony each evening. Was most impressed when staff quietly asked a few "disrespectful idiots" to step off the chairs they were standing on. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with friendly bartenders who take pride in their craft—watching them create cocktails is a true delight!
This is the best , best , best cocktailbar I ever visited in belgium. These are quality cocktails when you taste cocktails , come out wow . These bar tenders are so friendly . Is a joy to watch cocktailmaking . interior also catchy . Wi fi is free . I saw they are bartender of the year like this . You get direct pinda nuts or popcorn and sticks cool. They serve only fried snacks ,no other foods. .there are some house rules also ✌. One hour one cocktail may be. Price is little expensive thanother bars ,but I like to pay extra money here. I higly recommended this bar to everybody and I am satisfied customer only

Central Pool Bar in Bruges is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The bar offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with excellent service that goes above and beyond the usual European standards. Whether you're there to watch sports on one of their many screens or just enjoy a drink, the staff, especially Leon the bartender, are attentive and entertaining. The bar also boasts a clean environment, delicious cocktails, and ample seating both indoors and outdoors.

The absolute best bar and hangout spot in all of Bruges with the best people working behind the bar. The owner, Leo, is one of the friendliest and kindest people ever and he makes sure to make you feel warm and invited. His employee, Arsenii, is very kind and friendly and actually has become a friend of ours. He helped us pick out some Belgium beers to try because we had no idea what to drink and he picked us two very nice drinks. This is a wonderful and fun place with a great atmosphere and location. It’s an absolute must visit if you are looking for beer, food, pool, or darts in Bruges!

Absolutely no idea why this is rated so high. It's a very cheesy establishment, extremely poor selection of beers. Advertises tapas and pizzas, but they don't do tapas- although the pizza was quite reasonable. On the plus side, there's a couple of screens where you can watch football - we watched champions league matches here. Didn't go upstairs to the pool hall. Pleasant friendly staff

Stopped by for a beer and to watch the F1, great atmosphere, lots of screens so they try to accommodate everyone on the sport they want to watch. The beers are delicious of course, I just wished they had fries to go with it that would’ve made it perfection!

On vacation in Bruges and stumbled upon Central Pool Bar from a Reddit Review. This has been the best bar/restaurant I have been to thus far on my trip. If you know anything about traveling in Europe, their service is nothing like the US. Typically you have to flag down your server for service, but here, they treat you like friends and family and provide you with nothing but service! Leon was not only a great bartender, but also a great comedian. If you come to Bruges and don’t stop here, you’re missing out!

Very good food. The fries(chips) are great. Our group got the bacon burger, the chicken sandwich and wings. They were all hot, juicy and delicious and served quickly. Restrooms were very clean. The staff is friendly and multi-lingual.

Stopped here for a quick snack, ended up stying for the great people. We had great Trappist beer, fries with rosemary salt (we forgot to ask the ratio of salt to rosemary from the owner so we can make it at home in Canada), and wonderful conversation with the owners and guests. They made us feel very welcome and even shared that they had members of their family in Edmonton. Not exactly close to where I live, but it led to some great conversations about the relationship between Belgium and Canada. Great place; wish I could go back now!

Nice lounge bar, however the nice terrace is situated next to a rather busy road. Offers a wide range of beer and cocktails. Prices are mid range. During the week it's a relaxing place however during the weekend, especially in the evening it's more a vibrant place. I ordered a Margarita cocktail expecting it to be the 'classic' version with salt on the rim, however it was the more modern 'frozen' Margarita version with shaved ice (see photo). So if you're looking for 'classic' versions of cocktails, better to inform first with the staff or bartender.

Bar Ran is a charming cocktail bar in Bruges known for its refreshing and creative drinks. While it may be on the pricier side, visitors find that the quality of the drinks justifies the cost. The staff are highly praised for their warmth and hospitality, making special occasions like wedding cocktails memorable. The bar offers a variety of classic and original cocktails, with recommendations tailored to individual tastes. Guests appreciate the cozy atmosphere and late closing time, allowing for a relaxed experience.

I was spending 3 days in Bruges, and my group stopped by on the first night. The drinks are incredible and there was so much love and attention to detail put into every drink. The staff were all extremely friendly and made it a great place to stop. We ended up going by every night we were there and tried something new each time. Every drink made was unique and tasty. If you are in the area I cannot recommend them enough!

The BEST cocktail bar in Brugge! They are true artists and have a seasonal craft menu of their own creations, as well as classic cocktails. We had drinks from their celestial menu and they were all amazing. Galactic Milkpunch was our favorite, with the Silver Bullet coming in a close second! The man working was so friendly and the service was amazing. They greet you with water, some salty snacks and a welcome cocktail bite (ours was a frozen Cointreau and grapefruit concoction). Literally such an amazing place, I would be here every day if I could! Each cocktail is €15-20 per person and very worth it!

Can’t say enough GREAT things about this bar! The boys here are mixing up amazing cocktails and it’s worth a stop in for a drink… or three. Even my wife, who’s pregnant, said the mocktail was amazing. 10/10.

A superb small bar in the heart of Brugge / Bruges dedicated to cocktails and mixed drinks. I regularly drink cocktails in excellent bars across the world. This place is up there. They have a menu which appears to change seasonally. The house style is creative cocktails with apparent nods to classic influences. The menu drinks are exceptional. Don’t be afraid to go off-menu. I gave parameters to the bartender and asked for him to make me something he’d enjoy. A Last Word was soon in front of me. Slightly more Maraschino liqueur than I’d use but it was possibly even better for that! Really impressed and will likely go back tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing them on the top cocktail bar lists in years to come

Zoutestrand is an enjoyable beachside establishment that offers a pleasurable atmosphere with refreshing beverages, including cocktails and beers. The portion sizes of their tapas dishes are quite generous, making them suitable for sharing between two individuals. However, the absence of music might be considered a drawback by some patrons. On a positive note, the toilets are well-maintained and clean, contributing to the overall pleasant experience.

We arrived there and sat at a table with no idea that you had to order at the bar. Sat there for 20min without someone telling us that we had to order at the bar. Had read that this place was noisy, not on my visit. The music was a good listen and very much background... Pleasant visit.....

3 stars because the television was on and the news was playing so felt like I was sitting in my own living room. For the rest, soup was very nice but the bread was hard.

(Translated by Google) We ate spaghetti and a croque here in the afternoon. It's been a long time since a croque was made properly. Precisely prepared and with a fresh salad. Friendly and correct service. (Original) Wij hebben hier smiddags een spaghetti en een croque gegeten. Lang geleden dat een croque nog eens goed gemaakt was. Good welcoming, the staff are bilingual and you Can order in English. The quality of food is excellent and the Price is affordable. I recommend it if you visit one day Middlekerke and searching for a spot where to eat 😉👍

The worst service, the worst management person, we don’t recommend anybody to come. We were with the children outside, it was cold and they closed the door for the people inside, leaving us blocked out from everybody. Then, without us asking they brought us the check. Barbaar 👎👎👎

Lovely settings with a view of the Casino and watching people walk by. We had some Nachos, which were amazing! Thank you. The service was basic but no interaction (student waitressing) which is a pity as would have made the experience much more enjoyable. Thank you anyway.

Very bad food, bread of the burger was extremely dry, and foul smell from the chicken. Not at all kid friendly. Very rude staff. They serve you food as if you are not paying but they are doing a favor on you. Only good thing that they couldn’t mess was Cola.

(Translated by Google) What a fantastic place! Both the service and the food are truly excellent. Everything has been taken care of down to the last detail, from the attractive decor to the perfect presentation of the dishes. We have eaten here a few times now, and every time the surprising tapas surprise us again. The flavors are refined and the variety makes it exciting every time. The cocktails are also highly recommended. Here you don't get watered-down, watery drinks, but real, well-balanced cocktails that you can enjoy until the last sip. In short, highly recommended for those looking for a culinary experience with top service!

This quaint establishment is run by a friendly and welcoming family, offering a cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices. While they don't serve food, the extraordinary flavor and aroma of their house beer make it a worthwhile stop for any visitor to the area.
Off the beaten path for some. Stopped in for a beer as my usual place was closed. Very nice owners, had a good conversation about the house beer. Comfortable setting. As far I could tell, it's a bar only, no food.

Our group of friends (45 - 60yo group) tried to visit this place for a drink, we were greeted with staring eyes from what we assumed were locals not happy with tourists being there. We were asked to leave & did so without hesitation, never to return.
