I had the most gorgeous server while visiting here! She made me feel very welcome while having a cocktail by myself. The menu was detailed and interesting, with brilliant cocktails to go with it. The blue cheese, rum and mango cocktail was my choice and definitely one to try.

Great inventive drinks with cheap buffet. The olace gets very busy very quickly after opening so try to arrive early. Keep in mind that the drinks might be too weird for mamy people so if you're generally not adventurous with flavors consider checking the menu in advance

Had an unforgettable evening at Freni e Frizioni in Rome. The atmosphere was vibrant with great music, a wide selection of beers, and a beautiful crowd. But what truly made the experience stand out were Manuel and Alessio. Their professionalism, positive energy, and welcoming attitude made me feel right at home. Special shout-out to Alessio for the amazing cocktails—each one was crafted to perfection. These two really made my visit memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

I enjoyed my time at the venue and appreciated the attentive and engaging service from the waitstaff. However, I found the atmosphere to be a bit lively, but that might be because I’m getting old.

Top50 bar that doesn't quite make it in my opinion, at least compared to other top50 ones that I've visited. First of all and what initially blows your mind, the bar is greatly designed, it looks fancy, neat, with astounding decoration and lighting. The drinks are quite good and tasty, we had 4 for 15 to 18 euros each so pricey, but you'd expect that from this kind of bar. The first bad surprise of the night was that after being offered still or sparkling wine, we were brought a branded bottle of water, which is a first since I understand from experience that in proper cocktail bars water is complimentary. So it's not the 3 euros for the water... It's just the bar wanting to make business out of serving water (even more in a city with quite good drinking water from the tap). Then the menu looks quite good and well explained, with 25 cocktails and a few older ones, greatly detailed so that's a plus. 3 drinks were not available and one of the first we ordered they also didn't have it which was a bit odd again, but oh well it could be just a missing ingredient. They asked us and replaced it by another similar cocktail. The ice looks neat, with the bar logo "stamped" on it, and that's about all the decoration the drinks have, there's no garnish at all which I take it's a trademark of some kind, but again you'd expect some sort of garnish on a bar like this. Lastly, aside from the menu, the waiters don't explain the drinks or give any further information on them which is another strange thing since it's usually the case on these kind of top notch bars. Ultimately, good drinks, great ambience, but pricey and lacking some extra to be a proper top50.

Ended up here after deciding to hang with new friends we met in a tipsy cooking class. Someone in the group mentioned this was ranked as a one of the top bars in the world so we gave it a try. Honestly, I would have never guessed that it was so highly ranked. Nothing wrong with it really but it seemed pretty average. Service was good. They did have extensive, interesting drink menu but ended up with a Cosmo (which was good). Drink prices were good. Idk..I live just outside New Orleans and Ive been to dozens of bars there I'd rank higher. Again, no real complaints but it was average. That said, I will take the opportunity to brag I went here given its ranking.

One of the best cocktail bars in town with inventive and interesting drinks. We especially liked the Canova and Yugen. Menu is a bit overwhelming with too many options (around 30 drinks) but the waiters were able to point us towards what we'll enjoy the most. Food is a bit of a hit or miss, buns were good but chicken skewer was mediocre with very standard flavors and could have been cooked a bit longer in my opinion. It was also a bit surprising that a bar at this scale doesn't provide water but rather you need to buy it. Maybe it's just an Italian thing but for 16euro+ per drink they could really have provided it. The location is a bit surprising and feels a bit off the beaten road but the inside is beautiful and comfortable. I would give it 9\10

Drink Kong in Rome is above par when it comes to original drink concoctions. I also had the pork bao tacos and they were delish! Only complaint is that there are more food options as they also excel in the menu they do have ☺️

In a quieter part of Rome, and the drinks are very fun and eclectic. The vibe is very unique for Italy and we enjoyed our experience. Wish we tried some more of the food.

10-24-2025 I really do not know how this place does not have 5 stars. The staff (stefanotester) were fantastic. Very attentive. The drinks were great and there bao was excellent. Great vibe. If this were in the states where i live, I would be going all the time! 10-27-25 Update- went back, was assisted by Mirko, Valerio and the service was just as good. Definitely the stop to make while on vacation. Fyi had the "Sentisi"

We had a really disappointing experience here. We ordered a cocktail that ended up being a bubble tea cocktail, something we were not told in advance, and it was nowhere written on the menu, as you can clearly see in the photo. When we asked the staff about it, instead of handling it professionally, they started bad mouthing us, calling us “dumb” and being extremely rude. On top of that, they still made us pay 30€ for it. The attitude of the staff was completely unacceptable. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly just awful service. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Ps. We got the “cocktail” called panda

It's not often I review a place whilst still at the table. That poor was it I'm sorry but I have to. So... Ordered 4 burgers and chips - yes we are in rome but the family had a craving for junk food Wife sent hers back, honestly a good vet could have brought it back to life. To say it was still mooring. Other family members was the same but she didn't want to make a fuss. Two were cooked slightly pink but perfectly fin. Presentation. Was OK, chips came in a small mettle basket. All of it on an oversize plate making it feel even smaller. It wasn't but the look and style needed some work. Customer service. The meal was replaced but the comment it's cold and not cooked was greater with no it's just pink. Honestly the fact a new one came with no issues says it all. Chief must have been mortified. Trouble is that took 10mins for fresh food so the rest had finished before she got started :( And the chips were cold when it came back, think they reserved them... she didn't complain again just paid and left Location is great service was good but not polished for a high tourist area. In all honesty, was pulled here like a mother to a flame by a relative that is a suckered for how busy it is not how good it is. Much better eating establishments near by. Some with much better reviews was steered away from as they were not busy. Price was normal city prices. Over all was disappointing. Was talked in to giving it a two I would have went lower !!!

Stopped here for drinks. Looked like a nice place and ordered wine and drinks. Ordered pinot grigio, waiter brought unopened bottle of pinot Blanco which we declined and ordered alternative drinks. Waiter still charged us €34 for the wine. Didn't notice till the morning we had been overcharged. Really bad service considering we are on holiday, you should not have to check they are doing their job right. Never be back and would definitely not recommend.

Just don’t go here. Me and boyfriend had one bruschetta pomodoro each for aperitivo. And it was all we ate in the day, and gave us diarrhea. We ordered another appetizer too, but they forgot it. They also somehow forgot our drinks, we just ordered one glass of Chardonnay.

Unfortunately, it has become completely tourist-oriented by now. In my opinion, it has lost all of its original charm. Prices are noticeably higher than those of the surrounding bars and restaurants. The seating isn’t particularly inviting or well-arranged. The only positive note was the staff, who left a good impression.

If I could give no star, I would! Terrible/no service. Attitude of the staff is rather bitchy and rude. Quality of the drinks is average and too expensive. Atmosphere in the bar totally lost. Music is too loud and there isn’t any charm left.. Not worth a visit at all.

This place is an amazing spot for drinks. Cocktails are creative and taste delightful. My server Alena was very hospital and nice. I had to come back for second time because I felt so good. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a classy chill spot in Rome.

Perfect place and atmosphere everytime I come to Rome, been here probably 10times!

Recommended by a friend, and I can't understand why. Bad first impression because I received a cold welcome. I thought the cocktails would make up for it but no -- they were very disappointing. We also received a plate of finger foods (I thought, a nice touch) but the wraps, carrots, and small bruschetta were lukewarm (meaning, they had been sitting around for some time). The ambiance is nice thanks to the piazza and ruins of the temple of Hadrian. The inside looked cool but unoriginal.

Lovely bar with great cocktails. The indoor space is limited but the outdoor area is fantastic for some drinks and a great night out. We were blown away by the cocktail selection and especially the different home-made ingredients used in the drinks. Must try: Tea Mule The staff is also friendly and can recommend the best drinks to try.

Truly a wonderful bar; the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. You can tell that each and every ingredient is of high quality and prepared with care. The portions are just right in order to be able to try several different menu items. The Morellino di Scansano was great as well, despite being the cheapest of the red wines by the glass. Thoroughly enjoyed this really authentic enoteca experience !

I actually wrote home (texted) that this was the best lunch I’ve ever had. Sat outside on a beautiful afternoon for about 2 hours just soaking in the fresh and delicious plates. The bread was incredible, as were the tomatoes, peppers,olive oil and that cheese! Wow, it was so beautifully fresh and flavorful. I can’t wait to go back!!

Stopped by around 4:15pm on a Tuesday for a glass of wine before dinner and we had a lovely time! It’s clear that the staff know their wine and they were able to give us a recommendation for a bottle shop for a wine they didn’t carry. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Rome!

This place is such a hidden gem! A tiny wine bar with an amazing vibe that seems to be well-loved by locals. They have a great collection of wine and some nice little appetizers to pair with it. Perfect spot to enjoy a glass or two before heading to your main event.

Excellent selection of wines by the glass and also by the bottle. Selection of small bites including olives, burrata, cold cuts (charcuterie), cheeses, artichokes and pomodorini. I enjoyed a glass of Etna Bianco and a glass of Langhe Nebbiolo with a burrata served with pomodorini and everything was delicious. Good service. Recommended for wine enthusiasts.

Obsessed with this little wine bar! We arrived around 6, just in time to beat the evening rush and snag a cosy table (after a wait at the bar). The wine selection was great, the food was super fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing. Staff were friendly and polite even though they were super busy - would 100% visit again!

We stumbled across this little place during our walk in Rome. It is a quiet street (from my experience) and we enjoyed sitting outside under the shade provided by the umbrellas. The staff were sweet and spoke just enough English for it to be a smooth experience. The service was quick and although we were sitting outside we weren’t forgotten by the staff. The food tasted great and we loved that they had a little tasting menus for olive oils. Overall would definitely recommend.

This was a fantastic experience. This is an unpretentious bar, with delicious, well-crafted cocktails, and overall great service. All the drinks we had were well balanced and delicious. The vibe of the speakeasy is also very relaxed, and the staff is very attentive and gives you great recommendations. Please stop at this place if you like great cocktails paired with a soothing atmosphere.

The staff is extremely polite and welcoming. The place has a unique atmosphere that takes you back to the “good old days.” We didn’t have a reservation, but even so, the host managed to get us a table, always with great attention and hospitality. The drinks are delicious, and the music is pleasant. A solid 10 out of 10! Our only suggestion for improvement would be to have the membership form also written in English, since customers are required to sign it.

wonderful cocktail spot - they lean heavily into the speakeasy vibe. such a unique location with friendly and knowledgeable staff. in particular, the sours (pisco and delicious sour) were very well balanced and extremely tasty. we sat at the piano which was very fun but our seats did not have back rests (and many others throughout the room did not). highly recommend for a fun cocktail experience in rome!

Great drinks with a fun vibe! 5 Euros per person to become a member. Drinks were about 15 Euros each. We went for one of the more expensive ones, the Blue Blazer, and it was a fun experience to watch the bartender make it.

The most incredible speakeasy. Roberto embodies the history, traditions and showmanship of authentic bartending, and is a wonderful, entertaining host. I was travelling in Rome alone so I sat at the bar, and Roberto and the team made me feel so welcome and introduced me to other travellers to chat to. The way they bring people together is truly magic, and every inch of their service is impeccible. You need to experience this truly amazing secret gem of Rome.

This place is fantastic! It's a brew pub!! And they have not one but three dark beers and all are great!! The in-house dark 'Garden' is a mix between a stout and a porter. It has lots of flavor but lacks the sweet of a porter and lacks the tang of a stout. The 'Pride' is a true coconut toasted porter!! First I've have found in Europe over many years of traveling throughout. The burgers are good. The look small because the patties are thick so they are actually just tall. The fresh potato chips are very well made! Oh and good music!! Indoors and lots of space.

Absolute gem of a place! If you love beer, it's a must. Fantastic selection, even British style cask beer...the Italian brewed Best Bitter was some of the best I've had. Combine that with the friendly staff and lovely food, makes it an absolute winner. I had lunch, then went back for dinner to try more of the beers, and wasn't disappointed.

Beer is good with a wide selection, including Italian beera from other breweries as well. The food is mediocre, got the cheeseburger which areived medium though I asked for medium-well. Atmosphere is a bit awkward, the main part is impressive but the other part feels unrelated and ut was a bit difficult to get the waitress attention from it.

Great craft beer bar with real quality! I’ve visited many craft and classic breweries in the world and personally completed the Pilsner beer pouring school in the Czech Republic. Here I tried Mama Kriek, Garden, and Elixir — each one different and very tasty. Mama Kriek: fruity, fresh, perfect for light beer lovers. Garden: deep stout with nice smoky flavor. Elixir: soft IPA with pleasant bitterness. Prices are slightly higher, but the quality fully justifies it. The staff is professional and friendly, and the bar has a great relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend for beer lovers! Open daily till 1 AM.

If you want to see the locals and get away from tourists a bit, I suggest coming here before noon. The cappuccino was only €1.20 and it was delicious! I also met an old Italian man who sits under the church, playing music through the speaker on his bike and doing his hobby. I’d love to see him again—he even played some Turkish music after learning that I’m Turkish. Such a lovely man.

I heartily do not recommend this establishment. The gentleman who served us looked like he was tired of life. The aperol we got is a joke at a price of 4€ (in the picture its size). In addition, instead of an orange we got half a lemon. A trap for tourists.

The vibe is authentically Roman, and the longtime staff (the guy at the till has been there for ages) add a nice touch of character. It can get pretty packed, and there aren’t tons of seats outside, so you might need a bit of patience to snag a spot, but honestly that’s part of the charm. If you’re staying in Trastevere and want an easy, super local spot for your morning coffee or an evening drink that won’t break the bank, this is your place.

I loved the spirit of the place! Aperol was delicious, also the coffee, and the croissant were very good for the price. It was a place where I had a very enjoyable time when i was at home.

I’ve never eaten anything other then Italian food in Rome, 😅 Absolutely loved it here. Great atmosphere, great venue, great staff, great drinks and most importantly fantastic food. Flavour is full, wallet is empty but worth it. Would happily return next time I’m in Rome.

The staff were both kind and professional, from the warm welcome at the door to the thoughtful menu suggestions—service was excellent throughout. The food, especially the deserts, lived up to Zuma’s reputation: good quality, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I also appreciated the variety of vegetarian options, which makes it a great choice for guests with dietary preferences. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

We had been waiting for the opportunity to travel to a city that has Zuma and to go there for dinner, expecting exceptional service and food, as the restaurant’s reputation suggests. I made the reservation more than a month and a half in advance. We arrived on time, but when we approached the table, the hostess said she needed to check again if that was indeed our table, so we stood waiting in the middle of the restaurant for a few minutes before being seated. I asked if we could move to a table by the wall because I didn’t feel comfortable sitting in the middle, surrounded by other tables that were too close together, but unfortunately, that wasn’t possible since the restaurant was full. Still, I expected we would get a better table considering that I booked well in advance, at a time when all time slots were still available, meaning the restaurant wasn’t anywhere near fully booked back then. The waiter gave us the menus, which were very interesting and extensive. However, since this is an oriental fusion restaurant, it was quite difficult to decide what to order because the dishes and names are not something you encounter every day. The waiter never came to ask if we needed help choosing, to make a recommendation, or to explain any of the dish names, which would have been very helpful. We ordered cocktails twice, and both times the waitress, upon reaching our table, had to ask another waiter whether those drinks were meant for us. We noticed the same thing happening with food at other tables, the waiters seemed rushed and unsure where to take each dish, completely lacking any expression or warmth. Our reservation was at 8:00 p.m. Around 9:20 p.m., we asked for the menu again because we wanted to order more sushi, after already having had three starters and two main dishes. At that point, we were told that a new reservation was coming in and we needed to leave the table. If the policy is that each table can only be occupied for 1 hour and 30 minutes, then the hostess should have told us that upon arrival, and the waiter should have reminded us before taking the last order. In the end, we simply asked for the bill and didn’t order any dessert, even though I was really looking forward to trying Zuma’s desserts. I’m very disappointed because Zuma turned out to be such a letdown, even though we were so excited to go there and try this interesting cuisine. They should really work on improving their service and the overall experience, which, in addition to good food, should include attentive and engaged staff who assist with the menu, check if everything is all right with the meal, and genuinely make guests feel taken care of.

This experience was incredible. The staff were so attentive, the food was delicious, and the vibes were immaculate. Nothing against Italian food, but how many times can we eat pizza and pasta 🤌🏼 This was such a breath of fresh food. My husband and I left feeling full and satisfied. Under recommendations, High standards reception with a beautifully furnished restaurant. We went to the terrace which was a lil under the inside but still very immersive. The food was not as delicate as I was expecting and the wine not the best recommendation, Overall the place is sublime and the service is good Worth the visit,

The food is really good but the service is incredible. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the views from the roof top terrace were excellent and the ambience was very good.

Read about this place from several sources, and decided to give it a shot. Looked really cool with the interior. I was not disappointed. A lot of references to The Shining and the Overlook Hotel. Cocktails were nice, service attentive. We ordered the mini burgers, and I would probably not recommend that. They were ok at best. One of them with chicken tasted like a microwaved chicken nugget and then a small slice of salad. Maybe we were unlucky, and you need to go there for the different vibe and the cocktail, and not so much because of the food.

Stayed close by (3 doors up), and decided to go the last evening of our stay in Rome, looked good from the outside but inside... holy moly! Amazing decor and different seating areas in different rooms plus an outdoor seating area (mostly covered). The best cocktails ive had throughout our mini euro trip. Dedicated cocktail makers, great wait staff, engaging and nothing was a problem. Just oozed cool. Food to share, a wee bit on the higher side but not crazy. By pure chance, we stumbled across this little bar restaurant gem spot, and what a find. From the outside, with just two tables by the front door, it doesn’t look like much. After having pizza and pasta for days non-stop, I wanted to give a burger a try. The burger was pretty good. Fries were excellent. Service was just okay. Not opposed to returning here again but probably wouldn't rush back.

Such a cool spot in the heart of Rome! ✨ The vibe is creative and relaxed – perfect for an aperitivo or a laid-back dinner with friends. We tried a veggie mix of mezze, mini burgers and cocktails: everything was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented (special shoutout to the hummus variations and the cocktails 🍸). The atmosphere is what makes it special: artsy, cozy, with just the right kind of edge. Definitely one of those places where food, drinks and setting all come together – highly recommend if you’re in Rome!

Very nice bar with a good selection of cocktails and drinks. They also serve food, which looked quite appealing, though I didn't try it. My cocktail was well mixed, but it had a bit too much ice for the price. Overall, in my opinion, it's a bit on the pricy side.

Amazing views. Unfortunately you are required to pay a €55 per person set menu and we suffered heavy rain and thunderstorms on the day we visited. This meant that the second drink was €27 each standing in a cramped, soaking wet bar

If you ever get the chance to visit The Court in Rome, right in front of the Colosseum, do yourself a favor and skip it. This is hands down one of the worst rooftop bars I’ve ever been to. Honestly, it’s nothing more than a tourist trap, and I fell right into it. From the start, the staff made it seem like they were doing us a favor by letting us in. Their attitude was arrogant, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They seem to forget that the very “tourists” they look down on are the ones paying their salaries. Once inside, seating is completely unfair, only five high tables actually face the Colosseum, while everyone else gets stuck on low couches and tables crammed near the entrance. Instead of enjoying the main attraction, you’re left staring at the backs of the lucky few in front of you. To make matters worse, they force you to order two cocktails per person at €27 each. The drinks are honestly awful, syrupy, poorly made, and barely resembling cocktails at all. In total, I ended up paying €103 for two terrible cocktails, one glass of wine, and a beer. Save yourself the disappointment and the money. You can spend that amount on a much better experience elsewhere in Rome. This place is nothing but an overpriced scam with a view you’ll probably never get to enjoy.

The cocktails really surprised me! we loved both rounds! The view is famous, but honestly, it wasn’t as stunning as expected. The drinks, however, were incredible, no wonder it’s the Top 50 bars. We booked a week in advance and had to order at least two cocktails per person, which felt reasonable for a Saturday night. And the complimentary food was fine, but nothing special.

Excellent! One of the best cocktail experiences I’ve ever had. We booked about a week in advance and were lucky to get the best table in the house. The service, cocktails, appetizers—and of course, the Colosseum views—were all 10/10. Everything was absolutely impeccable. I can’t recommend this place enough! 🤩

A high end experience with delicious cocktails and snacks. But do not go in warm weather before 730pm, HOT!! They did give us an umbrella to hold. I loved the olives so much, they sent me home with a giant container of them. Need a reservation and must follow dress code.

We had the tasting experience which basically requires you to pay at least 55 euros per person for 2 drinks and some snacks. The snacks were really basic and not worth at all the experience especially the pizzas, the drinks on the other hand were really good but not worth the price either (27 euros per drink). Overall the view was amazing but there are must better bar experiences in Rome at much more affordable price. The fact that they force you to order a minimum of 55 euros per person and that they close the bar after 2 hours to makes you leave for other groups is also a no go for me.

I celebrated my birthday at The Court and it was absolutely unforgettable! The view of the Colosseum is breathtaking — truly one of a kind. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, the cocktails are crafted to perfection, and the service was outstanding. Definitely one of the most beautiful spots in the city — perfect for a special occasion!

Excellent service, delightful cocktails, and great bar food! I really enjoyed the Caesar salad with chicken and the pine margarita. I was also obsessed with the olives and kettle chips that are served as a snack while you sit and enjoy your cocktail. The bar is swanky and gave me a reason to dress up for the evening!

Excellent place for an afternoon tea or drinks. The open air setting in an enclosed space means you enjoy the outdoor vibe but without the traffic noise. The food also attracts pigeons and sparrows and the hotel has a very clever solution. A lady walks around with a hawk every now and then and they all fly away.

While passing by Hotel De Russiex, I decided to stop by and ask if it was possible to just have a drink, and despite the chic, high-end atmosphere, the staff welcomed us with kindness and elegance. I was with my parents, and we ordered lemonades and a beer. Lo Stravinskij Bar, inspired by the maestro himself, offers not just drinks, but an experience — in the heart of Rome, just steps from Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna, in a secret garden where time seems to slow down. A magical stop that I would recommend to anyone looking for both elegance and authenticity.

The bar is situated in a garden inside the famous Hotel de Russie - which is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Rome. I came here for a quick coffee after a friend’s recommendation. The place is exclusive, very sophisticated and expect the Italian quality in this place. You pay a high price for a drink (€12 for a cappuccino) however you can fully relax and enjoy the tranquility here which is rare especially in the middle of the busy city. The gardens are pretty, the place is how you would expect a 5 star hotel to be. There was a very interesting cocktail menu with it around the theme of garden/ flowers. I would definitely come back and try a cocktail next time. Highly recommend.

I would understand paying €100 for two drinks and a toast — it’s comparable to what you might spend at Armani in Milan. What’s truly disappointing, however, is how rude and pretentious the waiters are toward guests who aren’t regulars, as well as how limited the assortment of bites is. A disappointing experience overall. You’d expect that waiters serving clients willing to spend €100 on two drinks would at least show some courtesy — and perhaps realize such clients are also likely to tip well.

This must be the one of the most beautiful, peaceful places in the midst of the city. We came here mid-day and enjoyed coffees and desserts. (The chocolate mousse and the tiramisu are amazing!). We were so lucky to have Mauro taking care of us. What a great guy! Super nice and really fun to chat with. Would strongly recommend for a special experience!

Incredible location with great views. Very friendly staff which made the experience even more unique. You’ll have little background music and privacy, everything you could expect you’ll find. The food was also really tasty. I like to be surprised and taste new combinations which we could definitely find here. The wine selection is big, you’ll have plenty of choice. The aperol was nice too, so I guess that just going for drinks would be amazing too. Summary, would recommend!

What a great restaurant! The staff is well trained and speak very clean English!! They are friendly, skilled and very hard working! The facility is clean, well organized with plenty of space and nice bathrooms. The menu has a good variety, and a little something for everyone from exotic to simple.. the pricing is fair and the portions are decent.. centrally located they are far enough from the tourist areas it’s not so busy and yet close enough to get there by foot .. I would highly recons this place for anyone seeking a delicious quiet meal away from the hustle and bustle of downtown..

I goofed and made a reservation at the wrong restaurant but they were able to accommodate us. We then had one of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time. We are foodies that like to eat in expensive cities around the world and we really think this was the best in quite awhile. We did the 6 course with wine pairing. The staff was impeccable, the food and wine were so delicious. Can’t recommend it enough.

This was a serendipitous discovery while walking through the heat of the afternoon… “I need a beverage with atmosphere!” This place is it. I had the Venezia spritz while my wife had the Aperol spritz. Both were executed to perfection and served with a surprising complement of amuse bouche. Superb service with a view overlooking the Aventine and you have a recipe for a perfect afternoon in Roma! Do not skip past this rooftop patio and ask for Francesco.

Beautiful views, excellent service and great drinks! We stopped in around 5 and were easily able to get a table! We ordered drinks, I had the Ocean Drive cocktail and it was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had! Tasted like a lemon cream pie! Drinks were accompanied by complimentary snacks and even sandwiches! Best experience we’ve had in Roma so far!

Great view, good food but we would have been much more satisfied with slightly bigger portions. Only go if you're looking for slow paced luxury dining experience or to chill with a cocktail. Good for escaping the crowds and sunset watch. 4 course tasting menu is now €80. Nice food but if hungry, then 2-3 a la carte courses might work better. (I normally only have 1 main course) No indoor option but good weather protection and heaters available

V & I heard this was a great place and we heard right! Located close to the Tiber and next door to the Bocca Della Verita, the 47 Circus Rooftop Garden is a truly authentic Roman gem. Make sure you have reservations because if it’s a nice day the place will be busy and you will not get in. The view was great and in truly Roman tradition, it is located directly across from the Tempio di Portuno (built in 4th or 5th century B.C.) and Casa Dei Cresceni (11th or 12th century aristocratic home) so your view from the 6th level (7th floor for U.S.) is beautiful and dramatic. But to the food, the Roof Garden offers both appertivo and lunch/dinner service. We were there in early afternoon and elected to eat from both the appetitive and lunch menus. We started with the vegetable platter (I.e. crudite) and it was a nice plate of roasted veggies including tomatoes, zucchini and eggplant. It also came with three shot glass sized portions of hummus all of Tona and another spread which I think was a chicory mix. We also ordered the rice and potato croquettes, which was a rice, meat and cheese mixture and a potato and ham combination of deep fried. These were outstanding. For the main, we decided to go with two traditional Roman dishes, including linguine with clams and spaghetti amatriciana. The linguine with clams was cooked perfectly and loaded with garlic and lots of baby clams (no shells!). The amatriciana was outstanding with fresh tomato sauce and guanciale. One of the best I’ve had. We decided to forego dessert because we ordered a ton of food and we were stuffed! Never to stuffed for gelato though so we saved space for Come Il Latte close to our hotel (See separate review). Price was on the high side but it is atop a nice hotel and the view was soooo worth it. If it’s a hot day then you will be hot. There was a nice breeze and they have large umbrellas but it can get hot depending on the time of year. Well done and Marco the maitre’d and lead was outstanding. Our servers were also super nice and attentive.

I loved it so much I went twice! The cocktail list is incredible. Perfectly balanced drinks and always an intimate quiet vibe. Bartenders were awesome: kind and knowledgeable. You can tell that their craft is truly an art form. Can’t recommend enough!

We had such a wonderful evening at Argot Speakeasy! The drinks were absolutely fantastic, and the atmosphere was just perfect. But what really made our night special was chatting with the mixologist, Gianluca. He was so friendly and passionate about his craft! Hands down best cocktail bar in the area. Ring the buzzer to have someone bring you in. More spacious that it looks at first. Cocktails are delicious and well balanced. This place is special. We do go to cocktail bars a lot and this is one of the best I've experienced. We were there early on a weeknight, so a very chill vibe. Cocktails were outstanding. Unique cocktails and presented with some flare, but not over-the-top showy. Bartenders take real care in the preparation and the results are some really unique drinks.

Great food, the main courses and desserts were light and tasty. Good selection of wines, including rosé and orange. Service was fast and efficient, but at times it was difficult to get waiters' attention. We sat by the counter, which wasn't the most comfortable experience, but allowed us to get inside in less than 10 minutes wait time.

Very busy place, we were able to get seated outside at lunch after a small wait. Simple and tasty. Meatballs were very good! I was so excited to have such a great Greek salad after weeks of eating little to no raw vegetables in Italy 😂

Great food, tiny restaurant. We were walking past and were drawn by the floral exterior. Restaurant looked crowded and bustling during lunch, so we decided to give it a chance. Managed to get a seat with minimal wait. Food came quickly and was good. Wished we had space to try the Tiramisu. We saw many people ordering it.

The meat balls are so freaking good! Went here to kick off our Rome trip and oh my did we start with a banger! We had the meat balls in tomato sauce and their chicken and both were great. The chicken falls off the bone and the meat balls are not even remotely dry, but juicy and flavourful. Their bread makes for an excelent compliment to the meal to mop up the sauce with (which you will want to do). The restaurant has a nice cosy vibe.

Love this restaurant! My husband and I found this place in 2015 and have been back every time we have come to Rome. The vibe here is excellent and all the staff are so funny and nice. The food is incredible - our favourite is the truffle sausages!! We went last night for dinner and had the best time as always and I’m sure we will return again soon during our trip.

The place captured us from the outside right away - it has this stunning green charm that just sucks you in. Once you get inside you are greeted by an owner who loves what he does, singing and dancing and playing great music . Our server , Marco, was excellent and very kind to us, the food was some of the best Italy has to offer - with the meatballs being my personal fave.

If you want fast paced service this is definitely the place in Rome, we were sat down and drinking wine within 5 minutes. I had the Porchetta and my wife had the lasagna. I’m not joking I moaned and prayed after ever bite of the Porchetta. It’s my first time ever having it so I asked for the honey mustard that they offer upon request. I felt like I insulted them after I was finished. 100/10. Couldn’t asked for a better experience.

Weirdest experience ever as a craft beer lover, that goes out his way to find great beer bars across the world. The beer is excellent and the server with the dark beard is a master at beer service. The guy with a top knot clearly doesn’t like non locals in the bar, so was incredibly rude and went out of his way to be weird at every opportunity. Great selection, great beer, great beer service. Made to feel totally uncomfortable by the glass collector. Very odd. We left after one beer as we were made to feel totally unwelcome.

Very nice bar with good atmosphere. We tried the tap beer of Spezial Lager - Rauch Bier (smoked beer) and Ritual Lab - Too Nerdy (IPA). Both were amazing. However, we didn't like the draft beer of Cantina Errante with Red Color. It tasted kind of the mix of beer and wine! All in all, we liked here a lot and will come back again.

Chill craft beer bar in Trastevere with a pretty impressive selection on tap. Somehow the whole neo-punk vibe just wasn’t really my "cup of beer". Nothing wrong with the place.. just not quite my thing. Maybe next time! 🍻

Iconic craft beer bar in Rome´s Trastevere neighborhood. Quality rotating selection of brews, cozy setting both indoors and outdoors. When busy, the place can feel a bit hectic, but that is also part of the charm. No food offered on the premises, but they welcome bringing items from the businesses nearby. Definitely they have something for everyone, and for me on this occasion I was excited to revisit Thomas Hardy´s ale on its 2024 vintage, which was delicious and memorable.

Many Koreans say they can feel a sense of nostalgia for home when eating oxtail stew, so I decided to stop by on my way, feeling a bit tired of pizza and pasta. It was drizzling a bit, so I chose to sit at an outdoor table to enjoy the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the space was so tight that it was almost impossible not to bump into the people behind me. (Most Italian restaurants are quite compact, but this one felt especially cramped.) Thankfully, the food was very satisfying. The ravioli and oxtail stew were not overly salty and were delicious. Looking at the reviews, I noticed some complaints about the staff's attitude. Observing how they treated other guests, I concluded it wasn’t about racism—it seemed the staff were simply not very friendly overall. That said, the food was good, so I’d still recommend the place. It also seemed like a nice spot to relax with a glass of wine and unwind for a while.

Oxtail was delicious! Pate and cheese portions are big. Service was good but not outstanding. We sat inside and the seats were bit tight. Wine options were limited compared to other restaurants we’ve been to.

Wonderful service, food and drinks! Had to come back a second time. The oxtail and ravioli were delicious, as well as the mixed cold cuts plate. Can totally recommend it.

Eat here if you have a chance. The food is amazing. It’s such a a cute wine bar with amazing food and ambience in the center of the city. We came for dinner twice and stopped for a bottle of wine to go once as well. The lasagna and Sicilian ravioli are foods you’ll remember eating days later! And of course the tiramisu was the best way to end the meal!

An absolute must visit if you're not ready to end your night out at 2AM. A true speakeasy, I would've walked right by it if my friends didn't point it out. A great recommendation from a waiter at another amazing restaurant: Bottega Tredici CD is one of the most fabulous speakeasy mixologist led cocktail bars I have been any on the world. Each cocktail is artistry in a glass We had a wonderful mid-week evening with Roberto who looked after us from our arrival… until our departure in the wee hours. We had a lovely evening, such laughs and I’d certainly return the next time I’m in Rome. I almost don’t want to share this review to get the word out… shhhh

I love a good speakeasy and this one did not disappoint. My mom and I ended up here after having dinner at the restaurant that is attached to it. We were late walk ins and they let us have dinner in the speakeasy given that we were finished by 9:30. We finished early and as I was seeing the staff set up I was very intrigued. I asked if we were able to stay and have drinks when the speakeasy opened up and they very graciously allowed us. The drinks were well crafted and clearly there was a lot of thought put into the creation of each one. The bartenders took special care creaking each drink. There were not run of the mill cocktails they were pure mixology. The atmosphere was very nice and kind of a dark academia, which I loved. The bartender listened to my mom on what she likes and doesn’t like and hit the nail on the head with every drink. I want to go back.

I went on a special night where they were doing a ‘bar show’. This bartender from Madrid delivered 100% greatness on all the cocktails. Staff were upbeat and friendly. The ambiance is uniquely speakeasy themed. The DJ was killing the transitions. The crowd was cool. Worth the wait to get in.

​Campo de' Fiori has a captivating and dark history, with the philosopher Giordano Bruno being burned at the stake right here. I highly recommend looking up his story—it adds a powerful layer to the experience. Beyond its history, the piazza is a vibrant hub for both locals and tourists, filled with excellent restaurants and occasional markets. It's a wonderful place to walk through and soak up the lively atmosphere.

An amazing place with cool energy. We wanted to get here to the market, but unfortunately we came late and it was already over. But we were still very satisfied. At sunset there is an amazing light for photographers, you can take a lot of beautiful photos.

Very cool piazza. A market during the day, selling flowers, souvenirs and other items. Everything is taken down around 4-5pm, and it’s an open air piazza for the evening. Nice restaurants and usually live music.

The architecture around the square is beautiful and very photogenic. It’s a wonderful spot to relax and people-watch. There’s a lot of history behind this square, and the statue of Giordano Bruno adds a powerful historical touch. It’s both a lively and reflective place at once. What a wonderful part of Rome. Everything so convenient. It's a great neighborhood with family people and when you feel quite safe. So much to do in the plaza, mini restaurants and during the day there was a flea market until 5:00. Some great pizza, restaurants and some soup or gelato

Campo de’ Fiori is one of those places in Rome that feels alive from morning to night. During the day, it turns into a colorful open-air market , stalls packed with fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, olive oils, pastas, and flowers. It’s perfect if you want to experience a bit of local life or pick up some Italian specialties. Prices are fair for the center of Rome, and everything feels authentic and vibrant. In the evening, the square transforms completely. The market disappears, and cafés, trattorias, and wine bars fill the space with music and laughter. It’s a great spot for aperitivo or a relaxed dinner surrounded by locals and travelers. The square also carries a piece of history , right in the middle stands the statue of Giordano Bruno, a philosopher executed here in 1600 for his ideas, reminding everyone that this lively . You can reach it easily by bus (lines 64, 40, 46, or 62 stop nearby) or just walk , it’s about 5–10 minutes from Piazza Navona. Visit early in the morning for the market vibe, or come back in the evening for the atmosphere , either way, it’s a must-see in Rome.

We had arrived at 15 minutes past opening and we were greeted very poorly. The waiters were not friendly and claimed that all of the tables were reserved even though every single one was empty. We sat at the bar after being silently judged and ordered food. The food was fantastic however the service was not great and the staff gave smirky looks and they were complacent with the bar being empty.

It's a Tuesday night here in Trastevere. I'm working on an assignment for a professor who gave us no instructions except "go in the direction of video." Coffee Pot is going strong tho. I can hear the music through my window. Nothing new about that. I had a cup of black tea that my friend Louis brought over from London. It was earl grey, so no I don't plan on sleeping. Not that I could even if I wanted to because of the heavy base coming what I can only imagine to be an open door. I have two ideas why they might keep the door open. Firstly they might be low on business, I wonder why with their stunning music taste, and trying to attract customers on a Tuesday night. Secondly they might be so deluded that they think that the entire neighborhood wants to hear the music they play. Starships by Niki Minaj has become my lullaby. I'm sure the people inside are having their idea of a good time. Meanwhile I am here. Making a video project I hope will make sense. Recently I've been thinking that when making a good movie or film or whatever you want to call about it you can't be pretentious. Rich coming from my mouth I know, but really you have to let go of what you think a movie should be and just make one that's true and follows an earnest curiosity. With that thought I leave you. PS I speak directly to the staff of coffee pot Why do you play Starships and Drop it like it's hot every weekend? Multiple times?

I was so excited to take my family here after the great experience I had with my friends. We were greeted poorly and even though the restaurant was empty, and we were unable to get a table, we were offered seats at the bar. When we left an hour later the bar and tables were still empty. Food and drinks were delicious but we did not feel welcome.

Servers were unbelievably rude. Got there shortly after opening as a party of three. Was told to come back in 15 minutes which we did. Then told all the tables were reserved. Said we would sit at the bar; told bar all reserved. Then they decided to seat us (not sure why we did not just leave). Server treated us with disdain throughout the meal. Food was good and experience would have been so were we not made to feel unwelcome.

They act “like” fine-dining, but staff is super unprofessional. It was so amazingly embarrassing and lame we couldn’t stop laughing about it (even when we finally ordered the check they made it weird). Sushi was fine! But they have long way to go for the dish to be worth the price. The quality of the fish was not sashimi-grade (more like supermarket-grade). Nice plates and a lots of spice does not cover for poor ingredients. They kind of missed the whole point of what is a fine-dining restaurant experience, the service was hilariously arrogant. The hostess was professional and nice :)

Hip, delicious, and unique. Drinks were great and the music was fun. Had poke, bao, and nigiri. All were fantastic!

Nice place to dance to but a little on the expensive side for Rome (6euro for a beer). The DJ is ok but too much regaton/spanish. If you feel like a dancing nigh, though, it's ok as there is few of them on a week day.

One of the best cocktail bar in town, and definitely a must-go place when you're visiting, even just to say that to have tried their flagship drink, Carbonara Sour (which is an unbelievable masterpiece). Recently added a food menu, with very high quality, specializing in gourmet club sandwich (quite big, don't expect tiny bits, you'll be well fed), but with some nice fusion apetizers. Amazing service and a design underground chic setting. Definitely recommended.

Fun cocktails, particularly their house special, the Carbonara Sour. Others are a little pricy (~€14) for the neighbourhood but quality is top notch.

I love the Black Mary! It's salty, it's smokey, it's spicey. You really should try it, If you're into tomato based drinks.

Walked 45 minutes to get there to find a closed door at 19:15. Both Google Maps and TripAdvisor says it opens at 19:00. Waited until 19:30 and left. There is no other source of information and nothing was clearly written on the door. 👎

Very very very disappointed, I went there two nights in a row, and they were all CLOSED! The opening hour in Google is clearly wrong. On there front door they says open Tuesday to Sunday. Although they did NOT open last Tuesday, and the the phone number is out of service. It locates not anywhere close to the city center, I spend 40 Euro in taxi, and it is a big WASTE.

A delicious Mexican inspired restaurant on the quiet side of Trastevere. Mexican food has improved considerably in Italy since I first vegan traveling here 17 years ago. This is a sign of the progress. Delicious tacos and cocktails with a lot of familiar flavors from my trips to Mexico. A beautifully decorated space, excellent service and decent prices. I really enjoyed my experience and recommended visiting!

My best friend and I love Mexican food, after visiting Mexico we were not able to find place as authentic as this in Europe! The food, the drinks, the service there is no words which could explain how much we enjoyed everything! For first time we were speechless! If you haven’t visited this place it’s a must!!!!

So, we ordered the most of their vegetarian option which included a Burrito, Quesadilla and Nachos. First of all the portion sizes were small. Secondly, as mentioned in their menu the Mexican Burrito( Veg) had cream of the black beans, guacamole, rice, zucchini etc. But in my part of Burrito I only could taste Rice and peas that's all. It was little disappointing. The passion fruit drink we ordered was good. But in all it is okay. The staff is really welcoming and the atmosphere is nice.

I highly recommend this cozy beautiful place for great food and cocktails. I can sincerely say that the cocktails and food deserves the highest compliment. incredibly friendly and knowledgeable servings of Benedetta and Gabriele were exceptional, with who went above and beyond to make our evening enjoyable. They took the time to inform us about the menu and recommend cocktails according to our taste. Overall, our experience at La Punto exceeded our expectations in every way. We’ll definitely be back whenever we visit Rome :)

My husband and I stopped in on September 11th around 2000 while waiting for a nearby dinner reservation, and we were very impressed. The bartender was skilled and professional, creating a spicy margarita upon request that was excellent. We also each enjoyed a mezcal cocktail that was balanced and thoughtfully prepared. Based on the quality of the drinks and service, I would certainly recommend this spot, and I regret not having stayed to try the menu—especially as the restaurant we went to afterward proved to be a disappointment. An excellent choice for well-crafted cocktails and exceptional service.

The ambiance—plush chesterfields, brick arches, and candlelit décor—creates an intimate, late-night environment. Opens after 11 PM. Drinks: 8.5/10 Recommendation: not applicable No menu is used—instead, guests fill out a preference card, and drinks are tailored accordingly. The result: creative and well-mixed cocktails. Above-average glassware and nice coasters, though presentation remains minimal with no garnish. Service: 7/10 Water is served only on request. Bartender is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Reservation recommended if you want to sit at the bar - only 5 seats available. Prices are average for Rome.

Wow, nice hole in the ground. I love the atmosphere the room is comfortable and well-set for a speakeasy. It was not very busy when I was there and I could that as timing it got busy as I left. I only wish they had small bites. Olives, or cheese. But when I get back to Rome I will be back here.

We waited almost an hour for our cocktails. Unfortunately, the server had to come back several times as she kept forgetting our order. When the drinks finally arrived, our food had been forgotten. After asking several times, we were later informed that the sauces were finished and that only the chips could be served. The chips (€6) were unfortunately not fresh, soft and lacking crunch, as if they had been left open for some time. Additionally, there seemed to be only one bartender preparing drinks on a Saturday night, despite the restaurant being quite busy. In the end, we just got 1 round of drinks since we know we would have to wait long for the second round. Overall, the experience was disappointing given the long wait times and lack of organization.

To start I want to highlight that our experience was probably an unfortunate one, but make no mistake Barbershop is a very good bar, it just failed to meet and exceed our expectations on the night. We were prompt on arrival at 2200 and saw the iconic barbershop light on, we took a glance into the shop and followed the sign around to another door, we rang the bell and were promptly greeted by a friendly gent who invited us in alongside another group. We were taken down some stairs that probably need repaired.... but quirky and part of the charm, we were guided into a wonderful arched room with fantastic furniture and a well stocked bar with some incredible spirits, we were also the first to arrive. It was safe to say we were very excited. We were sat in a great spot and ready to go. It was then our disappointment started. We were informed there was no menu for the night (we hope and remain confident this isn't a regular trick...), for someone who has worked his whole career in the industry this was almost a deal breaker. Part of the identity and experience of a bar is the menu available. An expression of the bar and its Bartenders. This is why we dropped one star 🌟. The service began promptly and we were brought a prosecco/aquavit combo I assume and some water, we were then consulted about our likes and dislikes so we could have our drinks tailored, it was fairly awkward and I'm not quite sure we were listened to, which became more obvious when most of the other guests sat with almost identical drinks.. I could be wrong. As it got busier the service got slower and slower as the consultation process droned on by one staff member *due to no menu. In fairness the solo bartender was absolutely killing it, making drink after drink, which were very well balanced and crafted. Looking around a fair few people looked awkward and unimpressed. Soon smoke clogged the air as we received our 2nd cocktail at 2330. We watched 3 or 4 tables request the bill after just 1 drink, this is where I would say they dropped the 2nd Star 🌟 We soon joined them and left somewhat disappointed. The bill however was very reasonable. We cannot knock the attempt at good service and the quality of drinks. It just wasn't their night or ours. My main feedback is this: for a bar that lies in a tourist location, that's guaranteed to get tourists, probably relies on tourism to stay open, it didn't feel tourist friendly, just my take on it. Don't be off put, go and experience it. If they bring out this new menu, I'm sure it'll be a much better experience. And 10 years ago I would have lit up too 😉. Saluti

This is by far my favorite little cocktail spot in Rome. The service is always so friendly and they do a great job trying to match a drink to your preferences. I’ve been taking so many of my friends who are visiting here as it’s such a cute vibe. Prices are reasonable, especially for the type of place and cocktails they have.

Most incredible night ever. The place is astonishing, every detail is taken care with passion. Every drink is made with love and dedication. I really recommend the experience, because that's what it is: an incredible experience that brings you back in time. Price is lower than I expected, considering the quality of the drinks.

This speakeasy bar is the type where you go underground. It offers top-level cocktails and is a place where you can relax and unwind.

Had a great 4 nights there. The location is fabulous. The bar/breakfast room is amazing with the ability to see the Ancient Rome was memorable. The hotel was a little dated but unless you want the ultra modern, had a slight step back in time that added to the charm. But the people working there are its stars, everyone was super friendly and helpful. And I want to single out Marco who whilst we had a slight issue when we first checked in, went above and beyond with his resolution, he’s a real credit/star to the hotel.

The following is my experience using this hotel 1/ the buffet breakfast is fantastic. Very balanced and you can fill up for the day. Coffee included . The tables are not busy at all when it opened at 7am, had a lovely private terrace with. View to eat and do some work. Highly appreciated . 2/ the rooms are a good size for Rome, they are however dated and the desks and chair provided were not suitable to work at for longer then a hour or so. I found the room temperature hard to balance, and the AC not easy to work. Large windows are available . 3/ for the price I paid, I was located on the first floor in an “extension” that required two lifts (you go up a floor, then walk a corridor, and go down another floor) . Not ideal for 1.8k AUD for 3 nights in shoulder season (October) 4/ the American bar ; I tired to use this, and no service was provided (no one came to take orders etc after being seated). Very odd. I decided to move on to meet up with colleagues. 5/ location - you can’t be close to everything , I found this venue hit the mark for what I wanted. Near the historic ruins, but walkable to all major tourist areas . 6/ I found the front desk team very kind and attentive in the evenings. Thank you. I had a horrible experience on check out with a rude and assertively aggressive man. Totally changed my view - I would not stay here again.

I have been extremely satisfied with the hospitality and professionalism of the staff at Hotel Forum. Recently, two of my customers were on a leisure trip and had booked a hotel opposite Forum. Unfortunately, they arrived late and found the reception closed. The staff at Hotel Forum kindly stepped in, offering them a room with breakfast and going above and beyond to ensure they felt relaxed and at ease. The feedback I received from my customers about the hotel’s facilities and rooms was overwhelmingly positive. I truly appreciate the exceptional service and look forward to staying at Hotel Forum myself in the future!

Old hotel but the location was good and close to the coliseum BUT the air conditioners in our 2 rooms DID NOT COOL. We had to get fans from the front desk. We paid more to stay in a corner suite with 4 windows BUT unfortunately had to keep them shut all day because it was so hot in our room. So basically NO VIEW - VERY HOT IN OUR ROOMS.

This is an amazing and historic hotel that looks onto the Forum ruins, and is a 10 minute, easy walk to the Colosseum. The staff is friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious with a beautifully updated bathroom. And an incredible view from our room. The open air rooftop bar is a hidden treasure, and the breakfast room and offerings are fantastic. Plenty of restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Hotel Forum!

One of the better hotels in Rome and well worth the money. It is ideally located for the Roman Forum, Palatino, Colosseo and close to one of the nicest areas in Rome for dining and sightseeing. The hotel is old but with character and despite its maze like structure to get to the rooms (part of the Forum experience) the technology upgrades for the rooms is pretty amazing. But the highlight of this hotel is its terrace restaurant with an insatiable view of the Roman Forum, enjoyed with exquisite food in a lovely atmosphere of live, soft classic music. The staff are genuinely pleased to serve which makes the whole experience well worthwhile. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I contacted Hotel Forum to arrange our wedding reception dinner here 2 weeks before our date of June 2nd. We had excellent and prompt regular communication with the Food & Beverage Architetto Roberto Troiani. He was very responsive and attentive to our questions and needs. The view is amazing, the food (without having even tried it as we live in the United States) was outstanding. We received excellent service from the waitstaff and were all very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend the rooftop restaurant for a memorable evening, with great food and hospitality. Thank you so much for making our special occasion unforgettable!

This restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion or just a nice dinner out. They advertise Mediterranean, but the menu leans heavily Italian, and honestly, it's delicious. The seafood platter was incredibly fresh, and the sauces had some interesting and tasty twists. The lamb rack was cooked just right. Our waiter was super helpful, explaining the menu and offering some great recommendations. They're also very attentive - even the restrooms have someone there to assist you, which is a bit of a surprise, but definitely adds to the overall service. It's a solid choice if you're looking for a good Italian meal in a pleasant setting.

Delicious food, good service and cozy atmosphere. good place to go with the family or on a date. The desserts were specifically a standout, (delicious tiramisu and berliner). The entrees were also delicious and the prices were fair for the quality. would definitely recommend!!!

We had an amazing dinner at this restaurant in Italy! The oysters were incredibly fresh and meaty, absolutely delicious. We also tried the octopus salad — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Although the staff kept forgetting things and went back and forth to my table, the food I ordered wasn’t disappointing at all. I really loved it — the meat was cooked exactly how I wanted. I also ordered oysters, but they seemed to forget about them, and after waiting quite a while, I decided to cancel and move on with my schedule. Overall, the food was great, but the service could be more attentive.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant in Rome! We tried the oysters and the octopus salad – both were absolutely delicious. The oysters were fresh and meaty, just perfect. Decent restaurant with good menu choices. Pasta carbonara was excellent however the fish was very dry and overcooked. Would have expected to be perfect cooked for the prices. Drinks excellent

Awesome rooftop. The place is superb! Good spirit and good music. Prices are low for Roma, 8€ for a 1l bucket of Affligem beer. I recommend it!

Although the atmosphere is nice and the food portions are okay given the prices, service was awful. We booked a table on the terrace at 9 and they took our orders around 9.30 and at 10 when we ordere drinks they said they cannot bring which they didn’t inform us when we were booking that service will be closed at 10. Moreover, they forced us to pay what we have eaten first before ordering other drinks from the bar by ourselves…

Cool place for a drink 10’ drive from Rome Stadium. The rooftop in the summer is super cool, can definitely recommend it for a drink. Dj set is there as well. Service was very slow and un-professional when I was there though.

We celebrated new year's eve there, and although we enjoyed the atmosphere and the music in general, the venue itself has lots of negative aspects: 1. Coat storage: ----------------- They charged 5 EUR per item! Meaning if you had a sweater and a coat, they don't agree to put both on one hanger but charge you 10 EUR for both. Why the hell for?! It makes no sense. 2. Toilet -------- As far as I know there is only 1 toilet for the entire complex of 4 floors (maybe there are more but they weren't available to us). There SHOULD be a toilet on each floor. So the only toilet we had access to (men's) didn't have soap, there was only cold water (not so nice during winter) and the hand dryer didn't work. The toilet booth was full of piss and no one cleaned it. Staircase: --------- Somehow it gets air from the outside so during the freezing cold of winter, it's not ideal to go up and down wearing only a t-shirt. Staff ------ We didn't have any issues but overall the staff isn't super nice or friendly. Bartenders do you a favor for doing their jobs and the security guards are a bit harsh and unapproachable. Sound ------- Talking only about the sound (because music is a preference): was a bit too loud and some speakers are too close to the dance floor. Worst aspect: SMOKING! -------------------------- Don't know why it's so hard to provide people with the most basic of "privileges": breathable air. Too many people on the dancefloor, around it or even in the staircases - were smoking. You wanna smoke? Great, go outside, don't impose your addictions on others. But that's not what this review is about... It's the club's responsibility to prevent people from smoking and unfortunately that didn't happen. Conclusion ------------ We enjoyed the party because of the people we were with and the music, but other than that - this venue has really low standards.

If you are looking for a classy place to party. STAY AWAY FROM THIS! They charged us €20 cover fee with no drink and the place was full of really young people. This could be a fun place if you come with a big group of people and leave early! As many people seem losing control after 2am (looking for fights, etc..).

Cheap atmosphere, expensive beers. It’s quiet trashy inside and bad music for my taste. 10€ for a beer is unbelievable.

Bar was full and there was just one barkeeper and it wasn’t organized. So there was no cue and everybody was getting crazy to get drinks. The bathroom were a disaster! Nothing was there! No toilet paper, no paper for the hands, no soap, no possibility to shut the doors… Music and fading was also not good. Dancing show was okay …

Awful people, awful staff, awful music, awful location. Although I havent experienced any specific bad situation, the overall thing is just not a fun atmosphere to be in: Hard to breath, no ventilation, so hot, everybody smokes everywhere, so dirty, no respect for personal space, hundreds of predator straight guys, staff members discriminating queer people, and many more. I dont recommend if you are looking for a place to dance and have fun with friends.

Recently attended Torture Garden at the venue and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised of how well the place fit the expected vibe so well. The interior design of the place has some dark industrial and slightly minimalistic esthetic, this allows it to be decorated or basically "shaped" for several different types of events and parties, and it worked wonderfully for Torture Garden. The place is divided in 3 floors, and while not every single one of them offers the same amount of physical space, the structural variety of the aforementioned esthetics doesn't make the floors feel copy-pasted. The few downsides I can think of is the wardrobe policy (which might have been stricter on this specific event), and the lack of a changing room, which for some events can be a serious downside. Would visit again in the future.

We got attacked in the club by two drunk little ratty girls and we got kicked out for it. The security saw them hit me and my friend but didn’t do anything about it and kicked us out instead. We did not fight back, we weren’t drunk. also apart from that very overpriced and the drinks aren’t good, I will come back next time tho because the music was very nice 😂

When you first enter the doors to “The Race Club” you’re met with an entry and no entry door (it’s part of the vibe for a speakeasy) rest assured though once you get the go ahead and make it down.. you are pressing the gas pedal to be met with moody cigar bar vibes that mimic a true private race club. Get ready set and go get your next drink 🍹 because those are also 10/10 with decorative names to match the theme and they even have non alcoholic! Michelangelo & Carmen were fabulous and mixed the drinks in a speedy fashion. Would come back for sure!

We had such a great night at The Race Club! The drinks were amazing, the atmosphere was super cool, and the whole place just had great energy. Our bartender Michelangelo made the night even better. He was so friendly, fun to talk to, and seriously knows how to make a great cocktail. By the end of the night, it felt like we were hanging out with friends instead of just being at a bar. Huge thanks to Michelangelo and the whole team—you made our night in Rome unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

Had an amazing time at the Race Club. We were in for 24 hours got a quick membership and was given the best service by Diego and Dario. They gave us the “trademark drink” took pictures. Overall great atmosphere and fun times. A nice chill cocktail bar.

Really yummy, fancy, unique cocktails with beautiful presentation! Also such lovely service, especially from Michelangelo! 10/10 recommend!!! We had to stay for more than 1!

I visited this place for the first time and, to be honest, I was quite disappointed. The entrance policy and the service were far from welcoming, but the biggest letdown were the cocktails — completely lacking in flavor, creativity, and balance. We ended up paying €50 for two drinks that weren’t even average. There are plenty of much better bars in Rome where you can truly enjoy a proper cocktail experience.

The rooftop views were fantastic. I loved the intricate layout of the hotel and the older feel to it. The staff was wonderful, helpful and capable. I loved that our room had an open air balcony. Our toilet seat needed a bit of tightening and my wife thought the smell of the room freshener was too much. We're not used to the hustle and bustle of an urban setting at night. My wife didn't like the noise.

A perfect location to explore all that Rome offers. Can be a bit noisy with sirens at times as it is near a hospital. Staff are friendly and accommodating, the meal we ate in the restaurant was very good. Overall the hotel is looking very dated and the rooms are daggy. The bathrooms really need work with rotting wood at floor level, shower sprayer is hand held and when placed on its hook while showering falls off immediately the water is turned off. Someone will break a foot at some point when the heavy shower head falls on their foot.

This place is an absolute scam. It took forever for hot water to start running, which is unacceptable for any hotel. The pictures on Booking look beautiful, but the reality is completely different – more like something out of a Mr. Bean episode than a proper hotel. Breakfast was terrible with a ridiculously poor selection, definitely not worth the money. The staff were awful – completely unhelpful, rude, and their English was almost non-existent. Overall, this hotel is nothing but a huge disappointment. Stay away.

From 5★ to 1★ — valet damage + denial This should have been a 5-star review: great room, service, food, and location. Unfortunately, a valet incident — and management’s response — makes it 1 star. I handed over the car with the handbrake engaged; a car cannot be moved without releasing it. The car was later parked on the public street and returned with the handbrake tab broken (it would sit in odd positions and no longer lock properly). Management told me their staff “did not touch” the handbrake — a claim that isn’t credible, especially since they asked the valet team over a month later. The car could not have been moved in the first place without releasing the brake, and parking it on the street required operating it again. Italian regulations (Art. 353(2)) also require parked vehicles to have the parking brake engaged (and, as a rule, the lowest gear). If the brake wasn’t used when they parked it on the street, that violates Art. 353(2). When a hotel handles guests’ cars, safety and accountability are non-negotiable. A real shame, because everything else was excellent. Until the hotel accepts responsibility and fixes its valet procedures, I can’t recommend it.

We loved the location, Service and amenities. The rooftop restaurant was phenomenal and breakfast was delicious. We were lucky enough to be 20 feet from the Pope at the Eucharist Mass at the Vatican in front of thousands. An amazing experience!! We will be back 🙏

We spent 4 nights at a beautiful suite in your hotel with a lovely view of St Peter's Basilica. Location is very near the Basilica which is convenient. Staff always helpful.

The hotel is nice and clean. On the day of check-out, a very unpleasant administrator worked. In the evening, we ordered a transfer to the airport for 1.30 am, which did not arrive, we waited ten minutes and ordered a taxi because we were late for the airport and then an inadequate administrator ran out and started shouting at the taxi.

At Terrazza Borromini, you’re definitely paying for the view—but it’s absolutely worth it. Overlooking Piazza Navona with a stunning skyline, it’s one of the most picturesque spots in Rome to enjoy a drink. The aperitivo experience is elevated by the little snacks that come with your order—always a nice touch. While the drinks themselves are solid but not exceptional, the setting more than makes up for it. Best time to visit is at sunset, when the city glows and the atmosphere feels truly special. Perfect for a memorable evening stop. Maybe a different playlist would be more appropriate rather than Kanye West etc :)

I would recommend this bar for the amazing view and good cocktails. Best time is sunset hour. They will give you a table for maximum 1h and half. However do NOT order food. Ordered octopus salad, it was quiet bad, the octopus was very hard and chewy. The rest of the food was average.

Terrazza Borromini is breathtakingly beautiful—set atop a 17th‑century palazzo overlooking Piazza Navona, the vistas are truly among the best in Rome. The rooftop atmosphere is chic and picture‑perfect, especially at sunset. However, the experience is let down by the culinary offering. The food, though presented decently, lacked depth of flavor or finesse. At these prices, I expected much more—from ingredients to seasoning to execution, it all felt underwhelming. Service on the rooftop was disappointing—staff seemed nonchalant and distant, which contrasted sharply with the indoor restaurant, where the team was polished, professional, and genuinely eager to assist. The team tried hard to deliver good service, but the kitchen needs to level up. With such a breathtaking setting and elevated price point, the food and overall consistency simply didn’t measure up.

This review is about the rooftop bar and not the restaurant. The rooftop bar is on the 5th floor. The Terrazza is on the 4th floor balcony overlooking the Piazza Navona. From the rooftop bar you can’t see the Piazza but you have an amazing view of most of Rome but facing towards the Vatican. You need to be aware of the above when booking as it isn’t stated on the website. You must book way in advance. Dinner is booked out months in advance. We could only get lunch on a Monday when we were there and on the rooftop. Even though there are shade sails, it was a 38 degree day so it wasn’t really pleasant up there. This place is very expensive. Cocktails start from €18 (like a Spritz) and food starts from €15 for entrees. The service was attentive. The cocktails and entrees that we got was huge portions and very delicious and came with bread. So it was enough for lunch for us.

This place is unreal!! Don't think about it, just book an Aperitivo or for dinner. The drinks are great, the snacks provided are a nice touch, and the view and atmosphere are spectacular. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our aperitivo at Terrazza Borromini. The service was excellent, the view was stunning, and the Hugo Spritz I ordered was one of the best I’ve had. They also brought out olives and snacks for us to enjoy, which was a lovely touch. Honestly, two hours wasn’t enough—this rooftop is an absolute must-visit in Rome!

The view is AMAZING. Drinks are overpriced and the staff is kind of rude. Go for the view and one drink only! They are generous with the olive and crackers they give with your drinks!

We visited here last week after a recommendation from a tour guide, and whilst it’s not cheap, it’s worth every penny. The view is spectacular, and the terrace is the perfect compliment to that. Clean, well spaced out, and with all of the little touches one would hope for like fires, heaters, plants, nibbles, a DJ, and blankets. Highly recommend coming here and watching the sun go down. The staff were friendly and super attentive. The patrons were all respectful and chilled out. Even though the place feels exclusive, it’s also super warm and welcoming once you arrive. To top it all, the cocktails were some of the best I’ve ever tried. Give this place a go. Highly recommend the Mamma Mia Spritz!

A beautiful rooftop Italian gourmet restaurant just steps away from the Spanish Steps. Also open very late so I was able to have a very lovely meal at around 10 pm after checking into my hotel nearby having just arrived from Los Angeles. Service was wonderful, food was extremely delicious, gourmet but not too gastroscience, still maintained qualities of traditional Italian cuisine, just more refined. Highly recommend!

Lovely rooftop cocktails at sunset. Highly recommend the Studio 54 Collins if you’re in the mood for a gin & tonic. Great service as well and loved the music the DJ was playing.

We came here for our one and only fancy meal in Rome and the food was incredible, I almost cried! They did send us a last minute email asking us not to wear shorts and this was a major issue for my husband who already had braved the Vatican with pants earlier that day (the man lives in shorts) … so he wore shorts and thankfully the restaurant didn’t say anything to us. Aside from feeling a bit awkward about that, it was incredible.

Was definitely pricey but worth every penny! The view, drinks and atmosphere were amazing and on top of that the service was incredible, everyone was very polite and easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend !

Cielo offered truly special rooftop views, elegant and peaceful dining, and absolutely wonderful food. The service was excellent, and the staff attentive, classy, and pleasant. Dining here makes one feel upper-class, without the stuffy vibes or the exorbitant cost (not to say it's cheap, just that they don't charge unwarranted high prices.) We would definitely return for more; there's not a single aspect of our experience at Cielo that deserved any less than a perfect score.

Terrible disappointment. How could a Café in this location, even with a large theater next door, go so wrong? Music was loud and tasteless, waiters were sticky, a cheap souvenir shop shares the space, food and drinks were careless. We left a.s.a.p.

Was here for a dinner with business in early December with 7 people. The dinner was generally good, and we had good service. It turned into a nightclub-esque place after a certain time. It was a bit buttoned up and higher end, so if you're looking for casual Rome, this is not the place. But for a nicer occasion, this would be a nice place.

Dropped by for a refreshment before a nighttime walk around St Peter's Square. Waiting staff were very kind and attentive, but it was obvious that managers felt like we'd wondered into the ' wrong place' for tourists like us. Better places to go for a less stiff atmosphere and for less money.

Excellent location and atmosphere close to San Pieter. Staff is kind and competent and advises you to choose whatever you want to eat or drink. I don't know about food but about drinking the drinks are very well prepared by professional bartenders and are very very good. Always they are served with sides. I definitely suggest this place to spend a beautiful night in Rome drinking well!

We took two cocktail for 15 euro each tonight. One was just oke and nothing more. The other cocktail BiBi T1 was much too sour. Unable to drink. No tast of alcohol in it. Just a cheap treat. Service was unattended and music awful. Lot of money for nothing. Don't go there. It's a waste of time and money!

We visited the Colosseum at sunset, and even though it was closed and we couldn't go inside, it was an absolutely incredible experience. Seeing the ancient walls lit up in the warm golden light was breathtaking. The atmosphere around the area was magical and felt so amazing. It was the perfect way to get a first look at this iconic landmark. We are already planning our next trip to make sure we can explore the interior, but seeing it from the outside at dusk was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend a sunset visit

As a child, I used to read about the Colosseum and see pictures of it in books and National Geographic, dreaming that one day I would visit it in person. That dream finally came true—and it was absolutely breathtaking. Standing inside such an iconic piece of history felt surreal. We even got to see the underground area where the gladiators lived and the animals were kept before the games. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. Truly a must-see when in Rome!

The Colosseum is absolutely incredible — stepping inside feels like walking straight into history (or right onto the set of Gladiator!). It’s one of those landmarks that truly lives up to the hype. Seeing it in person gives you a real sense of the scale, craftsmanship, and the stories that unfolded here nearly 2,000 years ago. We joined a guided tour, and it made the experience even better. Our guide brought the arena to life — explaining how gladiators trained, fought, and lived, as well as the ingenious ways the Colosseum was built and operated. The details were fascinating and gave us a whole new appreciation for ancient Roman engineering. We visited in late June, and it was very hot, so bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat. There’s not much shade once you’re inside, so try to go early in the morning or later in the day if you can. Standing in the same place where history, legend, and cinema meet is an unforgettable experience. The Colosseum is a must-see — powerful, dramatic, and timeless.

I was very positively surprised how easy it was to get in and how well it is managed considering it's in Italy :) I had been to Rome several times and always skipped the Colosseum thinking it's a tourist trap and boy was I wrong. Thanks to its sheer size it's actually really pleasant to explore, even though it's packed the minute they open the door. The building is really impressive and it feels like going back in time once you're in. FYI, if you're booking online there are various kinds of tickets, which is not explicitly highlighted IMO, and bare in mind that the regular ticket doesn't give you access to all sites in the Colosseum and the Forum. The visit took us roughly two hours and it was really worth it.

It's an absolute masterpiece of sculpture that you can just walk right up to. The other fountains complete the picture-perfect scene. It's the perfect place for a leisurely stroll, to people-watch, or to simply sit on a bench and enjoy. The energy is infectious, making it a must-visit piazza that captures the heart of Rome.

A beautiful site that everyone must see. We arrived at 9am and the piazza was really quiet. Take some time to walk between the three fountains and take in the architecture. If you are heading on to some of the churches in Rome but are ill equipped and need a scarf to cover yourself, don’t be tempted to buy from the little shops here. They charge €10 for a small scarf and you can find them for c. €3 in other shops.

We repeat this same location twice ✌🏻. 1st was just a walkabout after visiting Campo The Fiori. It was a lovely afternoon and not that many people. Enjoyed the street performer. Next day we came again and decided to watch the string quartet - Vivaldi Four Season at the Di Sant’ Agnese in Agone. Got the last two tickets and it was awesome

WOW! We came here for dinner and I think because I had seen so many reviews complaining about it, I wasn’t expecting much but was excited for at least some great wine and a beautiful view. We ended up being blown away!!! Every flavor profile was so balanced and unique. The tasting menu was paired with some wonderful wine selections. The Duck was absolutely the best I have ever had. And the service was top notch. We have had some very nice dinners around the world but THIS was by far our favorite meal ever. I never write reviews - but again I was so confused as to the complaints that I needed to take the time to give them a well earned five stars. Thank you for a wonderful evening Aroma, we will never forget it.

Very disappointing experience dining here, specially considering its Michelin ranking. Start with the positives, being the unrivalled view, stupendous. Now for the negatives, the service was efficient but robotic and uncaring with not a smile to be seen. All the interest was about turning the table and getting it ready for the next seating. The food being another negative, not a bad dish but not a really good one either, for a Michelin starred restaurant you expect to have at least one memorable dish but alas, could not pick one. Pricing was exorbitant, 250 euros to be rushed out the door, bill was on the table before petit fours were finished. To top the evening off, they charged 70 euros for two negronis!

I always visit Michelin star restaurants wherever I go and this is the first time where I believe that attention to detail and a curated experience might be only happening at the kitchen. Food was exquisite, I don’t have a doubt we were served the best quality. However waiters were lacking of attention, mixing up plates, giving a memorized almost automatic description of what they were serving us instead of focusing on delivering every meal with elegance and detailed explanation. Not just a 1 second super fast incomprensible explanation. It was my birthday and they apparently didn’t read that prior the reservation and on top of everything I had to take my drink from the cooler several times (which is not a problem however is not something happening at any Michelin star restaurant I’ve been). As I said, a lot of Michelin guideline points were NOT taken into consieration. I honestly don’t know how they are conserving the star, might be because of the kitchen. Congratulations on the chef and everyone involved on preparing the food, that was 10 out of 10. More than that, I had a best experience of the nonna preparing pasta the night before. But I got an email to give feedback online so this is it, I wanted to make it less public but here we are. I would definitely come back for the food and the view, not the experience.

I had the best dining experience here in Rome and absolutely loved the lobster risotto — it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The wine pairing was outstanding and elevated every course. On top of that, dining with a view of the Colosseum made the evening unforgettable. A truly remarkable experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Rome.

Wonderful fine dining experience with veiw of the coliseum. Very expensive but worth every euro. Set menus are available. I had the tastes of seafood. Very accommodating to my wife as she chose various items from different set options. Food amazing! Staff amazing! Location amazing!

The Manfredi Hotel is amazing!! We loved dining and staying at this hotel.. The views are stunning the service was great and the food was very good. It was our first time in Italy, I would definitely revisit Aroma Restaurant.

Very nice place to eat. You have to think very little, cause the menu is fixed (but still very nice). Other than that, you can choose one of their juices and one coffee or similar to go with your brunch. They have a nice balance of sweet and salty foods. Also the restaurant is dog friendly ( at least with small sized dogs). Overall a nice experience, the staff is well prepared and very available. The bathrooms are kind of weird, couldn't figure out how either the soap or drying paper machine worked 🤔

They didn't seem to have much time for us. The menu was limited and a strange attempt to be Californian/American. It was uninspiring and they seemed not to care so we took our business elsewhere. The one exception was the chicken Caesar salad. That chicken was real chicken and not bad. The chips were also okay. The avocado toast did not need the beet stained salmon on top. Just too much. I guess I'm not the clientele they are looking for.

My last dinner in Roma, Italian x Asian fusion dishes! Food was absolutely delicious, experimental and very well prepared! Service was top notch! The salmon fillet was absolutely mind and taste buds blowing as I normally do not like cooked fish dishes as I am worried the fish would be too well done, however this salmon fillet really changed my perception about cooked fish in restaurant completely. It was simply heavenly, never had fish that is so tendered and around 70% done, I had to nibble it slowly to treasure every bite of the salmon fillet.

Just had the most incredible dining experience in Rome! 🍝 stumbled upon this gem, tucked away from the bustling streets. The service was fantastic, and the food... oh my! Each bite was a burst of flavors, like a party in my mouth! The lasagna was the star of the show, and the staff made us feel right at home. Can't wait to come back for more! 🥂

Wow! This was one of the best bars I have ever encountered. This unassuming cocktail bar and art gallery space far exceeded our expectations. The space was beautiful and so very authentic. The crowd was a mix of locals and tourists. The service was fantastic. We had two manhattan cocktails and they were quite possibly the best manhattans we ever drank! I also had the Lavorato Secco bitter cocktail which was phenomenal pre-dinner. The tomato bruschetta was also bursting with flavor. Such attention to detail and craft in what they do! We will definitely be back next time we are in Rome.

We were walking around Monti and stumbled upon this beautiful bar, with tables in the middle and clothes on the sides, a beautiful bar serving interesting cocktails, cheap glasses of wine and tagliere. I had the “Dolce Vita” cocktail that was really tasty:) Music was very beautiful and the artworks on the walls were really cute too:) I would totally recommend this place for an aperitivo!

We came rather early and critically had the place to ourselves It kind of felt like stepping into an artsy living room and behind offered snacks and fun cocktails in a dungeon covered in great paintings, Jewelery and other trinkets and art A lovely experience all round

We loved this place off the beaten path away from tourists. An eclectic setting and decor. Quite comfortable to enjoy a beverage and relax. The staff are very friendly and love to chat and make you feel welcome. Stop in to relax and have a drink in a cozy and homey feeling establishment.

We walked up to this place due the little truck they have outside for drinks which was how we found out they were not just an art gallery! The vibes are cool inside as well if you don't get a seat at the truck. The drinks were good and priced reasonably for the places around. The service staff was friendly which just adds to the charm of the entire place!

Really good food, all staff very friendly. The atmosphere was great the place was busy and full of chatter. Ordered a bottle of Rose and two courses the total came to €50! As we waited for our food complimentary potato chips were left at our table. Highly recommend this gem.

Great food and service. We got a bottle of wine, 2 apps, 3 mains, and dessert, and all of it was great, no notes. Even brought chips while we waited for apps. The carpaccio in the photo may not look good but the flavour combination was unreal.

My favourite place in Pigneto. They’ve got an amazing garden, which looks magical at night with all the lights on. The food’s very good and reasonably priced. Plus I read up it was Pier Paolo Pasolini’s favourite spot to hang out, and there’s even a mural dedicated to him just around the corner.

Soo good, we came for dinner on a recommendation and it was delicious! Book one week in advance via their website. Everything was so good; we had fresh homemade mozzarella, fried meatballs with pesto, carbonara and oxtail sauce pasta, and tiramisu and panna cotta for dessert! Highly recommend :)

We finally made it to Trattoria Da Cesare al Casaletto for a long-awaited Sunday lunch after dreaming about it for a year. This place is a true Roman institution, run like a well-oiled machine, with a lively, family-filled atmosphere that feels authentic and welcoming. The wine list is excellent—we especially loved our exquisite bottle of Etna Bianco. We enjoyed the supplì, squash blossoms, gricia, and ravioli, each dish showcasing the comforting flavors of Roman cooking. Watching families with babies gather around big Sunday meals added to the charm of the experience. Overall, a solid and memorable Roman lunch—classic, reliable, and full of energy.

Had a nice dinner here though my expectations were very high as the restaurant has excellent reviews, unfortunately I was a little let down. Actually it was rather nice to travel outside the city center, Cesare is extremely close to the final stop of the 8 tram and you get to see much more of the city and where people live coming here. Dinner started with a very nice basket of bread and we shared the eggplant croquettes and calamari fritti. The croquettes were interesting, with a nice spicy tomato sauce offset with mint. The calamari were outstanding, extremely well done. For our mains, I had the gnocchi with oxtail sugo which was really disappointing. The sauce was deep and delicious, and the gnocchi very well made however totally under salted. I wonder if they are used to salting this dish with pasta water when the rigatoni is selected? I needed to add cheese AND salt just to coax some flavor. I do like salty, though. My companions had Amitriciana and Gricia. Both were very good however an alarming amount of guanciale was used in the gricia and my companion said that is was too much and the balance of the dish was off because of it. We were a bit put off by the waiters constantly trying to remove our dishes. Like, fork still in hand and BOOM can I take your plate now? Then you have to wait 15 minutes for the bill haha. Well no one is perfect for sure. Overall it was a good experience and I’m happy we went and wish them many years of success!

Our main dishes of the evening were rigatoni alla Matriciana (that’s how it was spelled), gnocchi alla coda vaccinara and tonnarelli a la gricia. These were delicious with noted qualifications that the guanciale pieces with the tonnarelli were judged too large (!), the gnocchi were assessed under-salted while the coda vaccinara sauce seemed a little thin, and my serving of rigatoni was enormous (no complaint there). The carbonara is absolutely amazing!!! It’s so creamy! The tonnarelli ai frutti di mare also very delicious, it tastes so fresh! 100% recommen!!

Wonderful ppace with great food and service. We had the pizza rossa, veal roll and seafood pasta, finished with the desert selection. Best food I've had in Rome. Very friendly staff, they made smaller portions of the fried gnocchi and beef croquettas for us to try; both well made.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Spent five nights and it was a great experience from start to finish. We picked the hotel because of the good reviews and how close it is to the Colosseum, and it totally lived up to the hype. The staff were super welcoming—gave us maps, tips, and were always ready to help out. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the Colosseum, near the Metro and bus stops, but the streets around the hotel feel safe and quiet. Getting Uber to the center is also good option, its around 20min ride and the Uber picks you in front of hotel. Lots of great restaurants and cafés nearby too. Hygiene is on top level and everything smells so nice. The room was comfortable, service staff were excellent, and everything felt very well taken care of. Breakfast is on the pricey side, was around 18 euro per person so we opted for eating in nearby cafes and pastry shops.

Our stay at the hotel was just what we hoped for and more. Situated right by the Colosseum and other ancient attractions, but nestled away from the bustle, it was the perfect spot on a side street. Our room had tall ceilings and Giovanni and team were outstanding professionals. We absolutely recommend this spot for anyone staying in Rome!

Absolutely perfect! The area is quiet yet only a 5-10 minute walk away from the iconic Colluseum. There are a few restaurants close by and the rooftop bar is perfect for a relaxing drink or snack! The staff is so kind and love to help you with any question you might have.

Wonderful Hotel with a super nice staff and generous spanking clean rooms. The fact that it is centred around the Colosseum area makes it easy access to all the historical sites of Rome. I think it has one of the rooftop bars in Rome so don’t miss it even if you’re staying somewhere else Highly recommended.

We stayed in room 305, 19-20.09 which had a column in the middle of the room. When we first checked in, there were four wooden panels around the column, but they immediately fell apart right in front of my eyes as we entered. We hadn’t even had time to settle in before they were already broken. I even hurt my leg on one of the pieces. At first, we thought maybe this was normal for the hotel and didn’t say anything. But when we checked out the next day, we were charged €85 for the broken column that was already damaged upon our arrival. I find it very unfair and unprofessional for a hotel of this level to charge guests for something they are not responsible for, and to assign a room with damaged furniture in the first place.

The hotel has serious issues with security. Guests should be extremely careful with their belongings because the safety measures are very poor. I would not recommend leaving any valuables unattended here.

It’s weird, but since we arrived to Rome almost a week ago and we have been trying all possible places for breakfast, lunch and dinner , I can’t say I enjoyed my food (Perhaps my expectations were too high). Well, until tonight , when I was so positively surprised with Ferrara’s menu and presentation. The starter ( soup) was very delicate, hot and looked amazing. Pictures do not do the justice! Risotto is my favourite dish and I order it everywhere I go. This was one of the best variations, with pumpkin! Haven’t tried that before. My partner ordered pork and it was so crunchy on the outside and so tender inside, I just can’t! The 5 stars are very much deserved . The only wrinkle with the service was related to the not so warm welcome, when we were offered to stay at the wine bar, where it’s “less formal” than at the restaurant. I assume the judgement has been made based on our appearance ( we were tired after hours of exploring Rome and of course were wearing very touristy jeans and t-shirts). However, this wrinkle was soon ironed out. The service during the dinner was great and we really enjoyed our experience.

We came here on a food tour our first full day in Rome and returned a few days later after our 15th anniversary vow renewal. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They picked the perfect wine for us and served an amazing meal. Whether you want a full meal or a drink and a snack in the bar this place is highly recommended.

The staff are so lovely, and the way they do everything with love and attention, they are artists. It was really an honour to dine there 🙏🏼😌 And the food 🤯. There are no words. Honestly, I think it's the best food I ever had.

We sat at an outdoor dining table during a food tour. We had a fried artichoke. I'm not a big fan of artichokes, but it was nicely fried — not too oily or soggy — and seasoned well. We also enjoyed a bubbly wine similar to Prosecco. The restaurant has a wine cellar in their basement. According to the food tour guide, they have an extensive wine collection. We didn't get a chance to have a proper meal, but we want to come back and have a meal when we are in Rome.

Was here as part of food tour and it was such a charming enoteca. Apparently it has a giant cellar and has 21000 bottles of wine underneath the restaurant! Food was delicious and the drinks were great! Was just too full by the end of the tour to finish everything. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing. Trastevere is the food emporium in Rome and this place stands above the rest! Great wine list, the wait staff was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect.

I absolutely adore this wine bar. It's tiny, traditional and filled with locals. They serve some excellent affordable wines and sell a wide range of superb, more expensive wines, too. We tried a white Lambrusco which was great, and a very good primitivo. The service is brisk but friendly. The only down side is that we were given plastic cups to drink out of, which was a real shame as obviously the wine tastes much better out of real glasses.

As a tourist, it always feel slightly intimidating going to an intimate Italian bar. This place however served us politely and made us comfortable on a table outside. The location is beautiful, located along dense streets with lots of people walking and talking. This is the first time I was on holiday I really felt in Rome, not just at a tourist attraction. The Negroni and Aperol Spritz was lovely, with the olives we had too, easily the best we’ve ever had. If your’re going to a place like this as a tourist, it’s important to respect the culture and environment of the place, that way you’ll have great drinks and service. Definitely recommend.

Went twice while in Rome. On the first visit I had incredible service from the young bartender who is very passionate and knowledgeable about natural wines. On the second visit, the older man managing the outdoor terrace was very surly and rude even by local standards. Unfortunate.

The hotel was simply perfect, in an excellent location with a truly outstanding hospitality experience. We were welcomed with amazing treats upon arrival, and the breakfast was rich, delicious, and full of variety. The central location was ideal, and the staff went above and beyond—especially Marina, who accompanied us throughout our stay, made sure everything was perfect, and took care of us in the most thoughtful way. As if that wasn’t enough, at the end of our stay we were even given a bag of treats for the journey. Honestly, this was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room itself was luxurious, with two taps in the shower and in the sink—simply amazing. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return soon!

It is an absolute gem of a place. The art displayed is worthy of prolongued check in process. For the first time in my life I wished there was a delay in checking in. It is stunning with art beautifully displayed. The rooms are amazing! Suite 316 didn’t disappoint. The rooftop terrace has incredible views. Definitely the place to stay in Rome.

I only came for rooftop early evening/sunset cocktails. The local was recommended by ChatGPT. It was an excellent choice. The hotel is located in a quiet area. There was only one other table occupied at the time. I did think that the prices were higher than they needed to be and it appeared that there was barely any alcohol in my Basil Smash cocktail but I received several appetizers and the view and ambiance made up for it. Be sure to watch out for the birds conditioned to try to snatch your food. I had to protect mine closely.
