Amazing food and great vibe where many locals gather. Love the foie gras toast and sea urchin, the octopus is really fresh with a creamy sauce. The cod in tomato salad is also a must try. The food was so good that I forgot to take photos for many dishes. The Rojo beer is an amber beer that goes really well with the dishes. Can also try the Rioja wines for pairing. It may get crowded later in the evening, best is to go around 6 or 7pm before the crowd gathers.

Visited this place a few weeks ago with some friends, it’s was recommended by many must-visit Pamplona lists on the internet. It was good but it didn’t blow my mind. Food is good, but nothing stood out for my taste. The best thing was their chistorra croquet! If you want to have a couple of beers and a quick bite with some friends I would recommend it.

Great vibes, great pintxos, great time. 🤩 Café Bar Gaucho is one of those places that makes you understand why pintxos are such a big deal in Pamplona. The variety is amazing and everything we tried was delicious: the poached egg with mushroom truffle sauce, the octopus, the stuffed sea urchin, the beef… and our absolute favorite, the foie gras pintxo — so good we had it twice!😋 The place gets packed, so going early is the best way to get a table. You can also stand at the bar or grab one of the high tables outside. Even if there’s a queue, I think it’s totally worth the wait. Honestly, the lively atmosphere is part of the charm, perfect for enjoying with friends and drinks. The staff is super fast and friendly, keeping everything moving smoothly even when it’s crowded. For me, it’s an easy 5 stars in the pintxos bar category — fun, tasty, and one of the must-visit spots in Pamplona.

Bar Gaucho is Pamplona at its best, buzzing atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and pintxos worth crossing the city for. The huevo trufado is rich, creamy, and decadent, while the grilled foie gras is perfectly seared and melts in your mouth. Grab a spot at the bar, order a few at a time, and enjoy the chaos.

Awesome place for pintxos and drinks. They have items from the kitchen not displayed in the counter as well. The mushroom/egg/stick fries item looks/sounds so weird but OMG one of the best egg dishes i have had. Practically right off the bull run path. The lady doesnt speak much english but she tries and makes a great experience.

service was good and friendly , regardless of the preasure placed by the amount of people placing orders. the food was outstanding, and the wine suggestion was proper. However I was surprised that food was warmed up in a microwave oven,.specialy that some of the pintxos could be eaten at room temperature. another option would be a salamander to heat some.of the food, but over all , it is a highly recomended culinary experience. the bet time is to.get there a mid day food has just been prepared and there are not many people, or around 7pm.,.

every dish was amazing. we preferred to sit outside and it was raining. the indoor atmosphere was also really authentic and warm. do not miss this place and visit there with friends to try as many different tapas dishes as possible 👌

This was a great experience. Located right at the center of Plaza Castillo in Pamplona, café Iruña will attend to your cravings for traditional hearty food, with a five star service and a dazzling atmosphere. Everything was great, from the entrée to the dessert, passing by the fish, meat and salads. Price is fair, it's not so busy at lunch, but for dinner better make a reservation (or just come early, Spaniards like to have dinner after 9). A must go if you're ever by Navarres capital.

A stunning original cafe where Hemingway was a patron. The rich interior is enchanting and the mirrored wall reflect the lights and decor of the large space. We were a large group having sangria and pinchos so the service was fast and not individualized but that was ok. The pinchos were delicious.

One of the oldest coffee shops in Spain. I was looking for the perfect Spanish Con Leche, then they gave me the most understated one. A stunning original cafe where Hemingway was a patron. I can smell the history here.

Sangria is good, but service is pretty bad. We got some food and were not able to take a table inside. The waiters insisted that the children eat from plates while standing, despite the fact that only a few tables out of 30 was occupied outside. The bread on the pintxos is very dry.

Nice surprise. This is a café to remember. I liked the well-maintained historical interior. I enjoyed coffe and rum. The staff was very nice.

Iruña is the Basque word for Pamplona. historical café associated to Hemingway s presence in Pamplona. I stopped for a coffe and dessert, the service was friendly, but it can take some time due to the high traffic

Incredible. Pinchos were stunning! Wished I could have had one of everything they were that good. As an Australian on the Camino, sadly, my Spanish is deplorable, but they still made me feel welcome and we got by. The vino was also outstanding. Do not pass up an opportunity to partake here. You will not be disappointed.

A unique gastronomic experience, with excellent and delicious Pintxos, generously sized to pair wit a goog wine. The price is fantastically reasonable and the place is beautiful and familiar. To repeat in the future.

Came early to avoid disappointment that you can't get a table. Excellent wine and a fabulous selection bof freshly prepared Tapas. I came twice. Not to be missed.

The food here is bomb! (Californian for really good). Great flavors, wide variety of options, and best of all they're well executed. We enjoyed the ongo (champi) croquettes, the scallop and cheese dish, (reminded us of clam chowder from San Francisco), and the caña was really nice too. Hopefully we'll be back! €15 for 4 plates and a caña after a tip. Fair prices.

Great atmosphere and full nearly all of the time! We went here twice as it came so highly recommended. Their pintxos were quite different from other places but seemed to include some of the classic ingredients. It’s worth a try.

Staff were attentive to all their customers. A great atmosphere. The ponchos were all so tasty! One of the best Aperol Spritz I have had in a very long time.

The bar was super-busy when we arrived but the restaurant in the back was almost empty. It did fill up later, improving the ambiance. I enjoyed my polpo and dessert, my friend found her dish too heavy in sauce. Very friendly waiter and excellent wine.

Great bar for a drink and some beautiful pintxos. Service was excellent and we loved their txistorra (Basque chorizo) and the smoked cod. Highly recommended to include in your pintxos crawl of Pamplona.

Lovely place, you need to book a table, or need be there for the opening (20:00) otherwise you need to wait, but worth every penny.

Absolutely amazing food with a friendly atmosphere and great service! All allergens are marked on the menu, including gluten, lactose, soya, etc. I mentioned that gluten was extra important for me and the waiter immediately took careful note of this and let the kitchen know. We ordered a starter and a main course each, and were advised that that was too much food. Very honest of them, and they were definitely right as the portions are generous! The food was truly amazing and we very much enjoyed our evening.

When visiting Pamplona this place is a must-visit! The first day I arrived in Pamplona I visited their bar for a quick bit and had very good pinchos (their famous bomb looking one included)! Most of what I tried was delicious! A couple of days later I made reservations for dinner with a group of friends and we were all surprised with the quality of the food and service! Make sure you try their steak and the slow cooked beef ribs, these two dishes are incredible!!!! I will keep this one in my rotation every time I visit Pamplona!!!

In the heart of Pamplona, this place stole my heart. The food was of high quality, and they were nice enough to offer an item not on their menu just because I was craving some greens. Their wine selection is also extensive and the staff will help you find the right one. All in all, it was a very positive experience

Wow what a great experience. The 5 pasos tasting menu was a wonderful way to experience all the great flavors this place has to offer. The service was superb from the wine recommendation accompanied with a story about the winery through all the 5 courses and down to the chupito at the end. Loved it all

We eat here twice, once in the bar, once in the restaurant. Our preference would be to eat in the bar. The restaurant lacked atmosphere & the staff were more formal Their ceviche tapa (€4.20) was my tapa of our Pamplona week They also had a fab chicken gyoza tapa that was my partner’s tapa of the week. He was also a big fan of the potato bravas (€10)

After spending 10 days eating my way through Northern Spain, I can confidently say that Baserriberri in Pamplona served me the very best pintxos of the entire trip. Every single bite was bursting with creativity, flavour, and pure joy. If you come here, don’t overthink it, just order all of their special pintxos. Every one of them is a masterpiece, beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. Each dish feels like a small work of art, both in presentation and taste, and they truly deliver on the “wow” factor.

Amazing food! Started with vermouth and immediately left me looking forward to my food. The cerviche was incredible and the horsemeat ball was enjoyable. The dumpling was alright.

We where a bit early on a Wednesday, still managed to try some great food and wine.

I had just arrived in Pamplona got right down to the business of walking and finding some lunch. Only wanted something light and Pintxos is perfect for the solo traveller. Happened across this place and chose it because it was buzzing but not frantic and everyone was local. Chose two yummy Gilda and a little dumpling kind of thing that had red pepper and beef filling - much like a croquette but in batter rather than crumbed. Both were delicious and did the trick for a quick bite to keep my strength up to keep walking.

Excellent Chuleton (bone in rib) restaurant and pintxos bar. Restaurant and grill opens 8:30p while the pintxos bar is open all afternoon. Superb jamon and small bites to keep us busy until the grill was fired up. Good selection of wine and beer.

Best place to eat tapas and drink wine in town! They are super friendly and kind towards pets, the bartender told me that they treat dogs like they treat any customer when I asked if dogs were allowed🥰 we were surprised about the prices, a glass of wine was only for 2.5€ and it was delicious🥂 100% recommend this place to any visitors of the town!!

Nice place but don't stand in the way of the waitress. She will treat you like a dog EDIT: when I walked in to ask for a table and had to wait for someone to have a look for me, the waitress of the restaurant found I was standing too central in the corridor, and quite fiercly told me where to stand so I was out of her way. Pointing and telling me where to stand with my family (0.5m to the left). I didn't feel welcome and left

We ordered different platea and share the food; salads, beef, fish. It was all very good, excellent service and very good atmosphere. It’s located in lively spot in the old town. By the way, the cheese dessert was marvelous.

Amazing chuleton! Great wine card! Highly recommended! Also, memú BARRABRAS is not to be missed, especially when dining room is busy. Essentially they get you 1kg chuleton, bottle of wine, lettuce and onions salad, bread, and all this for 60 eur. Dinner/lunch for 2! You get it in the bar area. Total immersion with locals!

The food here is very good. If you go to the restaurant, make sure you are hungry. We had a perfectly grilled steak of hake and 1.1kg Chuleton cooked rare. It was fabulous. Best steak I have had. They also have a very good wine list that is reasonably priced. If you are in Pamplona and like steak and woodfired cooking, this is the place to come!

I was really hoping the negative reviews would be inaccurate… however, we had dinner here (upstairs reservation) tonight, and it was pretty painful. We arrived promptly, but it became clear very quickly that service would be slow. It was maybe 10-15 minutes to get a food menu after being seated. Another 15 min to order food. Then another 10-15 min to get one piece of bread (and they were the end pieces) each. Eventually I decided to ask if all the food had been fired yet, to see if we could cancel some of the order and leave. She offered to bring everything all out at once, so we were served all the remainder dishes very soon after. If you plan to come here, be prepared to stay at least 2 hours, but probably 3 hours. The shrimp tartar was tasty. The rest of the food was average. We were wishing we just went to a pintxo bar instead, where we could get delicious food promptly. Maybe this is more of a “tourist trap”…? Wouldn’t recommend, although the lady was accommodating with speeding up the service eventually and was mostly kind.

It must be hard to compete in the restaurant business in the Basque Country, where the standard of dining is exceptionally high. Over the past five days, every meal we had elsewhere was overwhelmingly positive — unfortunately, Casa Urola was the exception. To us as guests, the main issue appeared to be understaffing. Our waitress had little time to engage, responses took a long time, and the entire experience felt transactional rather than welcoming. A small but telling detail: the entire restaurant shared a single salt shaker and pepper grinder. At first, this felt like a quirky detail, but after watching staff and guests pass them from table to table throughout the meal, the novelty wore off and frustration set in. The food itself was generally fine, but at this price point, the service should be better. The salat was way too salty and the grilled foie gras, in particular, was disappointing — it tasted purely of fat, with none of the texture or balance one would expect. Having eaten foie gras many times before, this was a first. When we politely mentioned this, our comment was met not with understanding but with dismissal: the waitress replied that “everyone in the restaurant likes it,” making us feel foolish for even raising the point. A more professional or kind response would have gone a long way. Casa Urola was the only place in the Basque Country that felt even slightly like a tourist trap. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend it.

The food and service are fine. The atmosphere is sort of old and not vibrant. We had shrimps, good fresh, properly cooked and seasoned. Hake cheeks in pil pil sauce (KOKOTXAS), delicious, be aware that it is very gelatinous. Finally Monkfish grilled. As desert we had some sort of French toast elevated. It was ok but not fantastic.

PRO'S: Casa Urola's food & atmosphere deserve the Michelin recognition, not so much the service. Our group of four ordered sixcexcellent dishes and two wines, but having to ask for water & olive oil multiple times did not impress. CON'S: The restaurant needed more than two aervors the night we dined. SUMMARY: Casa Urola has excellent food & wine worth a visit

Food incredible! Get the scallop, cod casserole and tune bonito. Service horrendous and no rhyme or reason to the lining up. Staff looked unhappy. Loud but could still talk. Very cramped when eating at the bar. But it’s all part of the pinxto experience! Would still come back!

The signature scallop soup was very good! Recommend it for everyone. I had so many croqueta in Madrid, Barcelona, and Donostia, but one here was the most flavorful.

Casa Urola was amazing! The scallops, mushrooms, and foie gras were all so delicious — everything was cooked to perfection. Definitely coming back!

I would rate 4 stars on food and 3 on service.  It seems that they change the menu weekly, since some last week  Instagram  post showing some dishes were not available.  One example of why I rate it 3 stars on service is that I asked for a Tuna Tataki, the waiter mention that they ran out of it and quickly continue with the next table.  He did not suggest any other option, nor give me time to ask.  A few minutes later  I called him to ask for other options as Tuna Tartare, which they had.

Something for everyone. Quality ingredients with some plates better than others. Fast attentive service at the time we went.

First of all the atmosphere is very nice it is a modern looking restaurant. Prices I would say a bit higher than moderate but the price quality racio is very good. Food is very delicious and quality. Evening menu is 36 euros including bread, wine and coffee. We went on with the Carta. Tuna tataki, carpaccio and Vietnamese spring roles was very delicious. And as dessert tiramisu which was quite good and abtype of cak other coconut ice cream. All recommended. Together with beer and water it is 64 euors.

Great place to eat. Very good quality and a great wine list. I ordered ‘fideuá’ and I loved it. We taste the white wine Orchidea and it was an excellent choice. The restaurant is quiet and very relaxed atmosphere.

Great location opposite the bullpen. Great food. Had the potato omelette - perfect. Does get busy. Does not have outside area although many people go outside to smoke and chat.

I missed the San Fermines but that wasn’t an obstacle to visit Pamplona, a land beloved by Hemingway and many adventure seekers. One of my friends took me to Txirrintxa for lunch, and I must say I absolutely loved the food. There was a lunch menu very reasonably priced that included an appetizer, an entrée and wine. There were several options, so I went with the most typical food from the region, the famous pimientos de piquillo, which were very tasty and not too spicy. However, my favorite was the estofado de ternera, a slow cooked veal dish with a savory sauce and fried potatoes. It was a veritable harmonic explosion of flavor, and the meat was so tender; it was truly a pleasure to eat it. Next time I’m in Pamplona I’ll definitely come back!

Bean dish amazing. They were busy and not entirely friendly until the end. Server was working super fast and hard. Once place cleared out wr asked questions and she was kind.

Nice location with a pretty tasty IPA beer around Christmas time. Also the tapas are decent. Interesting is that they have German beer variety on tap although the brewery is Vasconia, a local Navarra brewery. They have a "helles", "dunkles" (tostada) and apparently a wheatbeer. Relaxed atmosphere, like most bars in this part of Pamplona.

First time in San Sebastian, and first time eating in the city and at this place. We loved the food although the grilled cubes of loin had a bit of too much oil, but that's my personal taste. The beer was very good, the cheese croquetes were amazing (very soft and creamy). The service was very friendly and attentive, the lady who served us was very careful with my wife allergie to pepper and checked carefully with the kitchen for pepper in the food. The space is very small but cosy. The toilets are old but they were clean. If we return to San Sebantian and want to be sure we eat good food we'll return here for sure.

We had the sweetest Aunty serve us. We came here after a long travel day and was able to grab a table right away as someone left. And we enjoyed every starred ⭐️menu item⭐️. Open every day and no siestas, they work hard and the food is simply amazing 5/5!!!

The food and service were excellent. We sat at the bar and tried the pepper stuffed with tuna which were delicious. Also tried the Gilda (anchovy, chilli peppers and an olive) - a must with a glass of txakoli a carbonated young white wine. Would have been 5 stars but for the state of the ladies toilet.

Great food excellent service. One of the better pinxtos establishments.

My friend ordered in English and the guy behind the counter had no problem understanding. Then I asked the guy what was in one of the stuffed snacks (usually cheese or ham). He grabbed it and started putting it on the plate so I switched to Spanish and said "no, que es adentro?" meaning "no, what is inside?" I wanted to know what it was stuffed with before I ordered it. The guy literally rolled his eyes, and in Spanish dropped an F bomb (starts with J in Spanish) and aggressively shouted, "ham!" in Spanish. I know this was not a communication issue on my end because it was super simple Spanish, well within my ability, and my accent is excellent. I ordered the snack. Turns out it was stuffed with artichokes and ham. The place was super super packed and the food was good but just as good as many other places that won't charge tourist prices. There is no reason to go here versus somewhere else unless you like abusive staff. Here is a tip, get out of old town and go to a different neighborhood with fewer tourists. The staff will generally not treat you like trash in those places.

The waiter is not kind. He ignored foreigners intentionally. I know he is busy and there's only one man working at that time. But he just served all other Spanish customers except us. Even idiot can tell he's not being nice to us. He made me feel unwelcomed to Pamplona. The coffee and chocolate are good though. Only the service sucks.

made an order during their lunchtime hour that didn't make it through. had to ask multiple times for silverware and drinks, then when I questioned where my food was they told me they weren't doing lunch anymore and had to order something else (but I was on a tight schedule and didn't have time to wait for another meal). even after that they couldn't bother giving me a water or the cola I asked for.

Seriously disappointing. Rude staff and no printed menus so you have to load a digital one which wouldn't open. No-one interested in helping and definitely not interested in foreign customers. If you are one, save yourself a very negative experience and go anywhere else, where you will be more welcome. Off the main square will probably be better

Once the locals began to fill the place, I no longer existed. I tired of waiting for my desert, I had to go to the bar to ask to pay and the 16€ menù del día is 20€ on the weekend and not worth the price.

We tried patatas bravas, they were really not good, the sauces were just Ketchup and Mayonnaise (which is ok, but the potatos were not really good) Haven't tried the other tapas, but the patatas bravas are not recommendable and to expensive for what you get

Now this is a place to visit when in Pamplona... right on the route of the bull run. A narrow bar set back down some steps, but once in you can get amazing spanish tapas and some great beer. The atmosphere was electric on the day of the run... highly recommended

Probably the best tortilla (the basic one) in Pamplona. It's a pitty they don't do alioli as well. Although, I didn't like croqueta de jamón, ni frito de jamón y queso. They also don't have updated opening hours on Google.

No service, all goes by code, rooms ok but the shower is not well built the water goes out, location perfect. But we booked it by booking and the pictures were much nicer that what we got... the entrance is still under construction, no lift, no recepction, no bar as it shows in the pictures... very disappointing.

We arrived and the rooms place was under refurbishment. So we could not leave the MTB and they told us to put in the room, then the room that are nice but not good, were noisy because the are in the heart of Pamplona, plenty of tapas bar so we could not sleep due to that noisy atmosphere. The breakfast was in another hotel and was simply OK for 8 euros. If you are doing camini the location is great but noisy. The shower has almost no pressure.

Decent Hostel to stay in Pamplona. Very central location and rooms in good relation to price. You feel that the rooms have been "lived" and might need some repairs. Nevertheless the rooms are quiet despite the noise on the mainstreet outside full of pintxo bars. overall good place to stay.

**Do Not Stay Here – Misleading Listing ** I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. When we made our reservation, there was no clear warning that the entire property would be under heavy construction during our stay. The dust and state of the place completely ruined the experience. Our room was not clean - there was hair on the floor, the room was covered in construction dust, and the “view” out our window was nothing but old ductwork and scaffolding. It felt like we were staying inside a renovation zone, not a hotel. When we raised our concerns and requested even a partial refund due to the conditions and lack of transparency, the hotel refused to acknowledge our concerns or offer any compensation. Save yourself the trouble — **do not stay here**.

There is a staffed reception, and they tiok me to my room, which was across the street, and showed me how the codes worked. The room was fine. Despite being on an excellent busy street the room was quiet at night and I slept very well. I had been apprehensive about staying here because it seemed so cheap, but it was excellent.

The accommodation was changed due to renovations, alternative accommodation was good but could have been cheaper.

we stayed at this place and it is the most convenient location. the rooms are not very big but they are more than adequate. the people are very friendly and helpful. This is not a 5star hotel but of you want a nice quiet comfortable place this one fits the bill. The only negative is dependent on which room the quality of wifi was not good but in the hallway it was more than adequate.

got served by Father Jack. Wasn't sure if he was Irish or Spanish. He seemed to have problems understanding us. Got charged a fortune for a wine, a pint and a slice of tortilla. As it was first place we'd stopped at for a drink when we arrived in Pamplona, didn't realise until we tried lots of other local bars, cafes etc. Wouldn't recommend. lots of nice Spanish places for a drink and a bite at half the price.

Great atmosphere, the owner and the staff are very friendly. We only had drinks, but would definitely stop by again before leaving Pamplona.

We used to go to this place every week for the trivias. However, the managers of this place are so disrespectful and after having a situation between one of our group and the managers, our friends group decided not to go anymore...

Great cozy, authentic Irish pub near the edge of the old town, with great attention in making Guinness the right way! The owner is great, a lovely guy. And he has done his best to make his years living in Ireland reflected in the authenticity of the ambience of the pub.

Definitely recommend reserving in advance, though we were lucky to be seated as walk-ins. The food was great, prices are on the higher side, but still reasonable for the quality. Don’t miss the jamón; it was possibly the best I’ve ever had! The suckling pig was flavorful, though the skin was a bit tough. The pintxos are also fantastic, especially the T-bone skewers!

So good we went back two nights in a row. Pintxos were the best. T-bone steak on a stick, crab stuffed pepper (the best) and so much more. Menu in French, English and Spanish.

Enjoyed the sea urchin, risotto and beef at the bar -12 euro altogether. Very crowded when we went however servers were patient in explaining the items on offer.

We had dinner here and had a very nice dinner. The scallops were so delicious and the tenderloin was cooked perfectly. The service was a little slow but that seems to be common in Spain everyone seems to want to linger for hours. Once engaged the staff was lovely.

One of the best meals in my life!!! All the lint is were amazing and you can also order other things from the menu and have a seat. They also have a restaurant area with a different menu but advance rsvp is recommended! PS. Don’t sleep on the sweets here!

One of the best restaurants in San Sebastián, my order was patatas bravas, Arroz (I love it 😍) and carrillera. Food was tasty. And Martin he let me feel that restaurant is my home. Highly recommended to visit and try food here.

We came here for the octopus as we heard it was one of the best places to get it in San Sebastián and it definitely did not disappoint! The portion size was huge (enough for two to share) and it was delicious. Wish I lived nearby! The pintxos were also great.

First time here and really enjoyed it! The seafood was fresh, especially the octopus and hake fish, both were excellent. The beef was tasty but cut a bit too thick to me, so it was very chewy. Overall, great experience and friendly service!

Wonderful place in the heart of San Sebastian’s Old Town! The atmosphere is cozy, stylish, and full of character. The food is delicious and has its own special touch. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is excellent. It is a real pleasure to sit by the window and admire the beautiful architecture around. The restaurant is located right across from the stunning sculpture “Armonía del Sonido” on the façade of the Santa María del Coro Basilica, a masterpiece of modern art that perfectly reflects the harmony of this place. I was very pleased with my visit and will definitely come back! 🌿✨

Great place! It was super busy and you need to wait 5-10 mins inside to make an order, then to picking up your order another hustle to get in thru the crowd! However, fois gras and scallops were the superstars! We couldnt even take a photo and just ate! At the end, if you dont mind the crowd, one of the best in the city.

Fantastic food - from the Pintxos to the food from the menu, went to a couple of bars in San Sebastián and this was my favorite one. You have to get the pork belly with hummus! Also very kind service, reasonable prices so I can’t wait to go back here one day :)

Another local basque cuisine restaurant right on the high street amongst some very popular pinxos bars. Given that the it was so difficult to get service (and space) at the other bars, I went for this one even though it doesn’t look great from the outside. However m, I was positively surprised by both the quality of the cooking - all the dishes were very well prepared and delicious - and by the very friendly and accommodating staff. They happily walked me through the menu and gave excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is that of a busy, “trendy” bar. Not really the vibe I would look for, given the type of food. Definitely worth a visit, if you can’t be bothered queuing up for the more busy places. - Value for money? Ok - Worth a detour? No - Best for (occasion)? Local food and good service - Would I go back? Potentially

Good but not Great. Maybe because it was a Monday? Risotto with 'shrooms and foie was the stand out dish. Well put together. Cold roasted tomato had some crunchy bits on it which lent to the texture and flavour combo. Couldn't figure out what that stuff was. Good stuff! Pulled Pork leg (no kidding!) with mole was pleasant but nothing stood out in the combo. Maybe the wanton skins should be replaced with crispy pork skin! Tuna in tiger milk was the low point of the 4 pintxos we had. Needs something more in the whole mix to avoid the baby food (mush with stuff) mix. Perhaps also use better tuna. Not expecting chutoro but this texture was probably shitami 下身 side. Nothing stood out in the wine list. We enjoyed the choice of genre for the music.

Spoiled for choice in San Sebastián but this is one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had. All dishes were beautifully presented - the calamari taco was a treat (the lime/soy sauce the highlight) and the hake was beautifully tender but their take on patatas bravas was my star. Unmissable. We had four pinxtos, the patatas and two beers for €40 - superb.

This pintxos spot has a more upscale feel compared to others, with stylish décor and pretty cocktails. The food is non-traditional but well executed with great flavours. We tried a few dishes, including the pork belly and eggplant. The eggplant leaned on the sweeter side, which I actually enjoyed, and the sangria was also sweeter than most other places. Unfortunately, despite the great food, the service completely ruined the experience. The male server at the bar had an incredibly rude and dismissive attitude throughout. After we placed our order, we were just looking at the menu on the wall out of curiosity, and he looked at us and laughed at us, making a condescending comment about it being the same menu we had in English. I was very annoyed! Later, when we ordered another round of beers, he gave my husband a look and acted very cocky. To top it off, he rolled his eyes when we asked for the bill. The food service itself was also noticeably slow. While the two female servers at the counter were much friendlier, I left feeling that I wouldn’t want to spend more money here just to tolerate poor service. Dining out is about the whole experience, not just the food. With so many other welcoming pintxos spots nearby, I wouldn’t return despite how good the dishes were.

We had almost everything on their pintxos menu and every single dish was spectacular. What else is there to say? Why haven’t they gotten one of these Michelin starts?

Absolutely incredible!! One of our favourite restaurants in San Sebastian. The food is truly outstanding and worth the queue. The assorted mushrooms with egg yolk were incredible. As were the red prawns, asparagus, croquettes and assortment of other delicious tapas/Pinxtos. Lively, fun restaurant with some bar/counter seating, good service and reasonable prices for the quality of the food!!

We queued for about 15 minutes on a Wednesday lunchtime which was pretty good compared to what we had heard. It was so worth it though and once we were in we were quickly moved to some more comfortable and spacious seats at the bar. The specialty mushrooms with egg was amazing and the prawns were good was we were jealous of the couple next to us who were eating giant prawns - wish we had ordered those. The jamon was so melt in your mouth - it was a huge portion but I could have eaten it 10x over. Everything was outstanding and the staff were lovely. Because of the queueing it didn't feel as overcrowded as some of the other Pintxos bars either and we certainly weren't rushed.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Definitely overpriced and not worth waiting in the queue for. We waited for 40 minutes in the queue on a Wednesday night. The mushrooms were tasty and of great quality, but with the quantity, it was not worth €23. Let alone the red prawn, it was small and cost €33 EACH (right, not one dish, but EACH prawn). I’ve eaten many prawns in my life in various European countries. Regarding the quality and size of this one, it felt like a rip-off. Unfortunately we will not come back.

We arrived around 2:45 and waited in line until we managed to sneak in at 3:15, right before the close for the afternoon. It was totally worth the wait. We tried the mushrooms, croquette, monkfish/prawn, foie gras and anchovies. Although the mushrooms are what they seem to be known for online, my favs were the anchovies and foie gras toast. Everything was incredible though and I would absolutely dine here again

Long line up but 100% worth the hype. We waited about 45 min. The man who stands outside and works the line is honestly the nicest human, very pleasant and chatty. The food was the highlight. Standout dishes for us were the razor clams, the mushrooms with egg. The dessert of fresh strawberries with black pepper was also incredible.

Absolutely amazing food, I’d eat my weight here if I could. Ganbara’s on my top 3 best restaurants in Europe to date. Everything we ate here was absolutely top tier, I’m looking forward to coming back again when I visit San Sebastian.

Loved this tapas place! Was definitely my favourite one out of all the ones we went to during our week there. They had such a large menu and have something for everyone. I’m somewhat of a picky eater and I found their food to be delicious and wanted to try more! Efficient service despite the chaotic nature of a tapas bar and they are very attentive even with a full house! Was very impressed in every aspect.

Very nice service. Starters were amazing. Also the dessert. Unfortunately the main dish not so. We were 4. We ordered 2 steaks for 2. One more raw and one medium. They've made one raw for 4 they said. And asked of it was ok. Was not because the steak was too small for 4 people and we were hungry. It was nice they gave us another smaller obe because of our complaints. I had to say it could be better. We've heard so much good about it. We've paid 70€ each. It was not worth the price by far.

Fantastic and unexpected! We were looking for a place to have lunch and just picked a spot based on reviews. We are so glad we chose Anttonenea! We had two wonderful bacalao dishes, and shared a salad along with a great rioja. All was exceptional. We adored our lovely server, Nay, who took great care of us and treated us very well. We will be back!!

Amazing lunch here yesterday… tables for one (walk in) are not normally welcome but they made room for me (a table for 4 just for me) even though they had lots of bookings (I got the last table in fact). The quality of attention and service was… well… amazing, utterly charming, made me feel truly welcome. Then came the food… from the olives (in their homemade marinade) and the ‘gift’ apero (croqueta de gambas with a citrus infused mayonnaise), by way of alcachofas confitadas lightly grilled and with foam of lemon and chopped spring onions and a couple of plump delicately steamed mussels, to the fish of the day, lomo de bonito a la parilla, cooked to perfection, sliced potatoes (lightly roasted) and a delicate citrusy sauce on the side and ending with a spectacular thin apple tart with Idiazabal icecream with membrillo… fabulous! Shame I am here for only a couple of days! Will try and go back for lunch on my last day. Highly recommended…

It was Sunday and after Mass at the cathedral we went to this place based on the online ratings. When we walked the boss/owner didn't welcome us; he just sat there. A man behind the bar did. And we asked if we could sit at one of the free tables (with tablecloth, that whole section was open) and he said OK but we could only order from the menu. We said that was fine. But then the boss/owner said no. We would have left but a regular table freed up and we were hungry. We ordered 4 things (including the gambas al ajillo which were dry). We went to another place nearby and had a great time and great food. I wouldn't recommend this place. Go to Bar Gaucho instead.

A must do! Small dishes, iberican ham, loads of small delicious toasts! I love it! You may not understand what the dishes are made of, just try them! Ask their recommendations, you’re gon’a be surprised. I strongly recommend.

Fantastic experience Walked by this place while walking to the main square. The place was packed and decided to comeback after checking out the town. Although we came back almost an hour later, the palace was still full; we decided to try our luck and found our way in. We had no idea how things worked, since everyone inside had a drink and tapas, but it wasn't clear who was waiting on anyone. That's when Iñaki spotted us and came from behind the counter. He quickly explained how things worked out and offered to take care of us. Waited until a spot on one of the community tables opened up and sat ourselves. From that moment on, we were able to enjoy one of our best meals in Spain. Food was great, but Iñaki made our evening truly memorable.

I ordered stew for 26 euros. It contained tasteless grave and the smallest fries ever. It was noisy. So overpriced, there are better places to find in Pamplona.

A regular pintxos (small bites) place, mix service, we got one good and one bad server. Initially the waiter said I need to order at the bar but then another server mentioned that they can take the order from the table.

Nothing spectacular - the food we had was ok - The reason for 4 stars instead of an average 3 stars is that the waiter went all out to serve a Vegan dish to one of my freinds every though he did not speak English and we did not speak Spanish - very good service 👍😊

Staff don’t speak much English, so it helps to know some Spanish (or just point to the menu 😉). 🍴 The food is simple but good. Nothing too fancy or “gourmet,” but tasty and fresh. A place where you feel like you’re sharing the same table spirit as the locals, not chasing fine dining trends. Overall, it’s a spot worth visiting if you want to step away from the tourist path and get a more local San Sebastián experience ❤️.

The fried calamar was amazing. Whereas the ceviche was not great. The staff was lovely. Nice outdoor calm terasse with a view.

We made a reservation because it was highly recommended by our travel guide book. However, it was very disappointing. The food was at best ok, but definitely not very good. Go elsewhere. Though we had a reservation the invoice was presented in a very unfriendly manner after 1 hour due to a follow-up reservation. No time was given to drink out the order bottle of wine. Very unfriendly service. In short, go elsewhere.

ITS an Event with very good quallity Applejuice - Im Not Fan of Cider🙂. But the Juice ist really best. And the meat fresh grilled with highest quaillty for me🐂. The staff ist helpful and speaks some English. Price ist absolute OK for refill Drinks. This Location ist more a Secret for tourists. A lot locals come to Here.

They take time to come and serve you but the experience is well worth the wait! The applewine tasting is a hilarious experience and the food is really good for relatively little money. Be careful not to drink too much tho! Their unlimited drink formula is a killer!

Really interesting tour and fabulous lunch. Knowledgeable guide. The apple and aniseed liqueur was so nice I bought a bottle from the lovely little gift shop.

This was truly one of the high points of our 2 week trip, traveling with 9 of us in the family, from Chicago and Madrid. The owner was delightful and so knowledgeable. All enjoyed trying the various ciders.. The young people particularly enjoyed the variety. And the food was fabulous! We'll remember this experience for a very long time, and are so grateful to the team.

What a fun experience! I have no other experience in Basque culture to compare it to, but our family thought it wonderful! A great time for the whole family. After living in Paris for 2 years, it is nice to see some open space and revelry. The closest comparison that comes to mind is a German beer hall. The food was excellent as well.

The service was top notch! The food was really delicious. Huge bonus for us is that we were allowed to bring our well behaved golden retriever inside the restaurant. Recommend this place! But do note that they have a restaurant and a bar which have different hours. So don’t rely strictly on the google that shows bar hours. Reservation is highly recommended.

The waiter was so friendly and helpful I needed to order vegan food without salt. He bent over backwards helping us. They had options for our whole group. Two thumbs up We had a variety of Tapas to make up our dinner. They also have a restaurant that has multi course meals that range from 28 euros to about 50.

Good restaurant accessed through the adjoining bar. Comfortable and fresh appearance and good service (with comparatively limited English and no English menu). On Friday we were limited to the more expensive tasting menu which was good and did include wine, but I might personally have preferred the more normal fare. I liked best the pre-starter (photo) and the interesting tomato salad. But that's me.

This experience was an exceptional opportunity. We were delighted in every aspect. The food was the finest expression of each ingredient, prepared to perfection and then plated to restore all faith and possibly to our soul. The staff is exceptional. We felt welcomed, and taken care of in every way. The level of professionalism and excellence was unmatched. We were mesmerized by the quiet perfection of the open kitchen, the artistry of the plating and service, as well as the wild creativity of the pairing both alcohol and non-alcoholic. Just fabulous.

Absolutely fantastic experience — our favourite meal in Spain after visiting several Michelin-starred restaurants. Everything from the service and setting to the pacing was flawless, but the food was the true highlight. Each dish was inventive, balanced, and beautifully presented, with the langoustine with champagne sauce standing out as one of the best bites of our entire trip. The decor was funky and eclectic, adding personality and warmth to the fine-dining experience. The wine pairing was our favourite overall — thoughtful and well-matched — though we would have appreciated a bit more explanation from the sommelier about each wine’s origin and the reasoning behind the pairings. A truly world-class restaurant, and in our view, very deserving of a third star.

This was probably the best meal of my life. Everything was perfect. But in addition to the meal being amazing, the staff were wonderful. They seemed to genuinely be interested in us having an incredible experience. I honestly felt like I was in an episode of The Bear! I will always remember this experience, because it was not just a meal, it was an experience.

I’ve been to Michelin star restaurants all over the world and it was my second time here. We were a table of 4 but our other friend couldn’t make it as he was admitted in the hospital with a bad flu so we amended the reservation to 3 a couple of days prior to the our dinner. I understand that they charge us for the 4th person which is completely fair but in exchange of that we couldn’t order alcohol for same amount. Their argument is that ingredients were sourced, but they can give us a voucher for future use. They mean to say if we come after 4/5 months they’ll use the same ingredients? This is a joke as they are moving to a new premise. One of the Austrian sympathised with us and she said it was wrong but couldn’t do anything. Spoke to some other people in the same industry and they said it’s overrated and the chef is arrogant as hell. I own two 5 star hotels, I do understand hospitality is tough and a thankless industry but we shouldn’t take our guests for granted. If there’s no guest how can one run the business. The young chefs were wonderful but the French lady who was serving us was so casual, we ask for a dessert wine post dinner and she gets us white wine. There were few such errors during the service. They took everyone’s Polaroid pictures post dinner but not ours since we pointed the errors. The food is good but if it’s this kind of attitude and service one shouldn’t go there. There are better places in San Sebastián and all around the world. Won’t go back to this place!

What an amazing and unforgettable experience! The food was of exceptional quality, and the service was absolutely perfect, every detail was spot on. The owner even came by personally to say hello, which made it feel extra special. The portions were incredibly generous too! I would recommend this place without hesitation.

The food is amazing, I enjoyed deserts. Wagyu comes with additional charge of 75 eur, which you are informed in advance. I would definitely recommend visiting the restaurant for the quality of the dishes. However, the hospitality didn’t quite meet my expectations. The team sometimes presents the courses in a robotic way, yelling at you because of the music (the playlist is great tbh) or you hear yelling at other people 😄 This creates slightly awkward atmosphere. When we tried to chat with other guests at the bar, they interrupted us to continue with courses which felt uncomfortable.

Dining at Amelia was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The food was exceptional – not only incredibly flavorful, but also made with rare, high-quality ingredients that truly stood out. Each dish was beautifully presented, with meticulous attention to detail, proving that creativity and taste can exist in perfect harmony. The service was equally outstanding – warm, professional, and perfectly paced, making us feel welcomed and relaxed from start to finish. We also loved the space itself – a modern, beautifully designed restaurant with a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. It felt elegant without being overly formal or stiff, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A unique culinary journey where aesthetics, flavor, and heartfelt hospitality come together. An experience we’ll carry with us for years to come.

This is a favorite spot among locals. Our Airbnb host recommended it highly, and we were very happy with our lunch. Sandwiches can be ordered GF. The man who took my order spoke no English, but he definitely understood me when I pointed to the bottom of the menu that states that sandwiches can be served safely for celiacs on GF buns. Eat indoors or outdoors, a great place for a sandwich and a drink.

Great gluten free bread with a wide variety of bocadillas for your choosing. The bread was excellent! So happy we went there. Also, this was a really cool building.

Baguettes taste is good, they have estrella Galicia which is a plus, however the service wasn’t very keen in helping or suggesting. It looked like they were just doing us a favour for explaining it. There are better bars in the area. Won’t come back

The rumora are true. These are the best gluten free sandwiches you can get in Pamplona, nay, all of Spain. Delicious, hot, toasty.....and you can get it with a GF beer. Husband was almost moved to tears. You can all sandwiches GF except paté (no problem). Great place and we will be coming back a few more times before we leave.

Quick review; big portions of decent food. Service was good. Good value, would recommend. Longer review; We popped in for a late snack/tea, wasn’t expecting much but Food came quickly and we were happy to find it was bigger portions and much nicer than expected. Service very efficient and quick, probably the quickest we’d experienced in San Sebastián, would recommend. It also felt like good value too which isn’t always the case. 2 mins walk from the beach too so good place for a snack/drinks.

I’M DON’T DRINK ALCOHOL but the service is incredible super nice and thanks to everyone. So the beer, lots of different kinds and flavors all from Gissona. The food is excellent, the burger is tasty and hummus and torresmos appetizers are so good. Thanks again.

Not only did the food fail to justify its exorbitant prices, but the service was also shockingly poor. Our server, a young woman with long dark hair tied in a ponytail, was the epitome of rudeness. The aragula salad also had the same jamon with fresh tasting and peppery aragula. Pretty straight forward dish. The standout dish of this lunch was the scallops : fresh, distinctive taste, the scallops are elevated by a savant mix of vegetables that makes it explode in your mouth. Highly recommended. However, the Cesar salad is to avoided. It simply is not a Caesar salad in the most commonly know version of the dish. What we thought (from afar) were croutons, we’re actually breaded chicken nuggets. There is nothing wrong with chicken nuggets, it just was not specified on the menu, so it was not a welcome surprise. Not catastrophic, not what we expected. Croutons are not home made. Service was minimal. Had to wave down the service staff a few times to get their attention. Different people take orders and serve dishes, made for a somewhat impersonal experience. The pintxos we tasted were delicious, we just wished there were more choices. Only 2 available at the start of lunch service. Overall, we recommend La Perla. The location is obviously the star of the show. Service is slow and impersonal, but the food is generally very good. We reserved a table and did not know that they have 3 different seating areas with different menus. We finally settled in the one in the middle which have good menu. The food quality and taste generally was good. The cheeks stake yummy and milt in your mouth. Fish selection was good. The tenderloin steak was not made medium as requested and parts cooked medium and part well which makes it not nice. Service can improve as some staff are so good and some have attitude. Very pleasant customer service. This is a family run business. Very typical Basque place to have dinner, Sagardotegia ( Cider place). Typically the basic menu consists in salad, green chillies from the Basque region, mostly sweet, but sometimes there is a hot one too. This are served with rock salt and as a starter. Main menu is normally salted cod with green peppers or onions, cod omelette or/and grilled T-bone steak. The normal drink is locally produced cider, either from the bottle or from big barrels where you can go up to and pour the cider from them. The desert consists of local cheese served with quince jelly and walnuts, mamia (a local type of yogurt made from sheep's milk) or home made pies or cake. We had a lovely dinner and it wasn't very pricy either. Absolutely recommend a visit.

Very friendly, welcoming bar, with an excellent range of beers (and good selection of all other drinks, of course!), and various good-value pintxos. We couldn’t find them on the menu but they’ve twice prepared us a plate of really good Patatas Alioli; the best we’ve found for a good while!
