This is a great place for any sort of drinks, if I lived here I would hang out here. We had Charles serving us and he was perfectly bilingual, I can't even tell what his mother tongue is. The food was served immediately, was hot and fresh and not some warmed up frozen crap. Go here, the beer is amazing, the food is excellent, the service is perfect.

Come for the drinks and great service! Out of the 4 dishes we got, only 1 was good. Most notably we do not recommend the nachos (I think they use shredded cheese curds which results in a very dry nacho that is unpleasant to eat), additionally the Mac n Cheese lacked any creaminess and was over powered with maple flavor. The chicken croquettes were the one standout with the spicy mayo!

This was a relaxed place with good vibes and friendly service. They were fine with us not speaking French, and the food was tasty. I had the chimichurri poutine, which was tasty but very salty, and my husband had the mac and cheese and said it was delicious. Drinks were reasonably priced, and we both had dessert which was very nice. Would recommend this place, especially if you want to feel comfortable and chilled.

Great atmosphere and kind friendly people. Nice fresh brewed beers and good foods. The hotel staff recommended it to me, so I went there for the first time. I ordered a hamburger and salad, which was very filling and delicious. I liked it so much that I went there twice during my four-day stay.

For a brewery that has been open for many years, the beer was surprisingly bad. I did not finish either of the 2 beer I ordered. Poutine also was not good. Server was great and there is a nice atmosphere if you are seated in the front.

Rude waitstaff. Sat at a table, the waitress wouldn't even acknowledge we were there, so I went to the bar to get beers. Asked her to keep the tab open as I was going to get another round. She demanded a payment and a tip. Needless to say, there was no tip. They have no clue about customer service. Plenty of other places to get a beer, I'd stay away from this one.

Super friendly and accommodating bar staff for this French-learning Australian. Generous, cool, and great fun. Talked beer and life. This is now my go-to place in Québec.

Great beer, cider, bartender (so great!), and atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Friendly and laid-back with a lovely back garden area and wonderful British 80s music on a low volume. We didn't want to leave and shall return. I'll try their cocktails next time. Happily spend an afternoon or evening here.

Great spot for drinks! We are suckers for back patios and foliage and this place has it! Felt like we transported into a different country. Wish we would have gone back during our time in QC but either way such a good place to visit if you’re in the city.

Fantastic bar to enjoy in the summer as their outdoor space is very quant and cozy. I wish I was able to write this review in French to do it justice but I had an excellent time during my visit. The staff is friendly and bilingual. They make a genuine effort to make you feel welcomed and attended to. Beer selection is great and I wish they had more food options.parking is very difficult as it's located on a very busy street. You may have to park a few blocks away.

Drag was amazing, show was amazing, security flirted with my friend and didn't seem to be protecting anyone in there, including the poor bartender who actively got groped in front of him twice. Didn't feel safe enough to go dance.

I haven't seen a bar of this quality with such impressive lighting, multiple well-ventilated rooms, and a cruise-like ambiance. The lighting system in every room was perfect, accompanied by excellent music equipment. The professional drag queens added to the overall experience. I dare say, I haven't seen a place like this in the United States. Despite not planning to dance that night, the irresistible music compelled me to hit the dance floor. They boast the best quality songs and consistently keep empty cups clean. The restroom is clean, though the hand-drying machine could use some improvement. The clientele is beautiful. The entry costs $11.50, and a beer is priced at $10.50. There is no charge for storing winter clothing in the closet.

amazing drag performance from sasha baga, adriana and peggy sue tonight but seriously… for a queer bar, there are far too many straight men vulturing around young women. as a lesbian, i felt like somehow i was the minority in the crowd. not only that, but multiple men kept groping the wonderful queen at the shots bar and not a single security guard came to their aid. especially with pride coming up in quebec city, i was hoping to enjoy a night out with my friend and feel as though i was a part of a community. instead, i was hit on by bouncers upon entry, i was eyed at by multiple straight men looking for their next prey and the overall experience truly felt like it was catered towards the straight crowd rather than being a queer bar scene. security should be heightened for these instances and the tolerance for poor behavior should be much lower. do better as a queer, allegedly safe, space.

Great club with quality people and good drinks. We went on a Tuesday - it was still lovely. They were playing bingo and had some of the best music in Quebec. Would highly recommend, regardless of which walk of life you come from.

Super fun and welcoming spot near Old Quebec! The shows are a great time and the music in the lower level dance floor is great. While the service is prompt and helpfully bilingual, the drink prices vs their relative strength docks a star from an otherwise awesome bar. I’ve been to many drag shows and this one is my absolute favorite! The Queens were stunning, makeup flawless, outfits and choreography was on point! My friends and I had a blast!!! I will totally comeback. Drinks were a bit on the weak side and still enjoyable and affordable. This club has different levels and the music varies between levels. It was overall a great experience

The atmosphere feels like a club from the 1930's, very vibrant, friendly and full of energy. The drinks and the meal were all top notch and tasted like more even though the amounts served were perfect! Loved it

A sultry and sexy dining find. Low lighting and decor perfectly executed to make for a wonderful dinner shared with your partner or friends. Candles, old school chandeliers, bar lights and hanging plants charm the interior. Steak and frites, hamburger with frites, nachos were great! We ate at Les Salons d’Edgar on Tuesday evening, and both the service and the food were excellent. The bruschetta appetizer on naan bread was absolutely delicious. A small note if you plan on ordering the hamburger: the meat was cooked medium rare, so if you prefer it well done, you may want to mention that when ordering. The atmosphere was great, fun and cozy. There was even live music, which added to the experience. This restaurant was recommended by a friend, and now I’m passing on the recommendation to you. It’s definitely worth the stop!

What a wonderful gem of a spot! We had a delicious meal while listening to a talented duo sing a delightful mix of melodies, from old standards to new classics. The vibe was just amazing, and the staff couldn't have been more lovely. We went on the early side with our two tweens, who dislike just about everything at the moment, and they LOVED it here. From the super fresh salads and mouth watering steak to the simple chicken burger and hand-cut fries, the food was delicious (and served quickly)! We were also pleasantly surprised by the range of NA selections and mocktails (NA amaretto sour?? amazing!). Before and during dinner, we enjoyed listening to a talented duo playing an ecclectic mix of tunes. After our meal, we played pool in the back while the kids played video games. If we lived here, this would be our place, no doubt. Skip the tourist traps, and head over to Les Salons d'Edgar. You won't be sorry!

Very fortunate to have walked past this place! It was exactly what I was looking for. The omelette was fantastic and service was friendly and welcoming. Quite and cozy atmosphere with an eclectic and original soundtrack, very refreshing.

A gorgeous rustic resto bar thanks to its exquisite decor and style along with curated accompanying blues and jazz music to let you time travel to decades ago. There’s pool tables in the back for those who wanna enjoy a couple of rounds while sipping on their fancy cocktails. Definitely a place to spend your Friday or Saturday nights until the sun rises again 😃

We’ve discovered this restaurant by pure chance because we were searching for a place to play pool in our visit to Québec City. The atmosphere is cozy and classy with really nice music. The staff it’s very nice and friendly always making sure you have a good time. The menu is not big and with a nice selection of drinks. We ate 3 types of burgers that were really tasty. If want to have a good time don’t miss this place, I feel it’s a hidden gem.

The fish and chips were not bad, it were not the best either. They had a very good guitarist performing with a great voice. I did not feel having alcohol and being hungry I finished my meal quickly. To my surprise they came with the check without asking them for it! First time I felt being kicked out of restaurant!

this pub is the perfect spot if you want to hang out with friends over a beer and enjoy live music. But if you’re coming for the food, you’ll probably be disappointed. both the regular and vegetarian burgers were pretty average. The veggie burger in particular tasted like it might have been made from a frozen patty.

Pub St-Alexandre is everything you would want in an Irish pub. They have a breezy outdoor dining area, as well as two levels of indoor seating and a stage for nightly live music. The menu is extensive for lunch and dinner options and the draught beer selection is quite good. The staff works hard to keep everyone happy and taken care of.

The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The selection was good and the servings were more than most humans could eat at a very reasonable price. I was a little disappointed when they left a great college football game, to watch a terrible CFL game. But I was in Canada.

Tight seating is the atmosphere. Establishment probably wants to 'sardinize' to get more people in rather than giving customers a wee bit of elbow room. Tables are way to small for beverages & entrees so you can forget about putting personal items on the table. Food was very good. Loved the onion soup. Selection of beers on tap were great. Service was ok...nothing to rave about but they expect at least a 15% tip st the end. They watch over your shoulder when you key in the tip. Anything less thsn 15% and 'dagger eyes' & smileless face...which I got even with a 12% tip. Tipping culture in North America has gone from crazy to berserk. And the general public lives with this. Personally, I would return for the food but not for the service. Recommended with reservation.

If you're looking for fish and chips, don't come here. We both ordered the fish and chips. Our fish came out looking awesome, golden brown in one large piece as is common at chippies in the UK. The disappointment happens when you cut into it. The crust was crunchy but immediately after it was a thick layer of mush. I don't know if the fish wasn't fried long enough and the batter left uncooked or the fish itself (haddock supposedly) was not great but what resulted was a tasteless nasty mushy mess. Our waiter did come check on us but it was one of those "everything is good?" and walk away type checks. He took great offense when we later asked someone who was refilling our waters why the fish was the way it was. One of the other servers gave us a menu to order something else. We were in the midst of looking through the menu for something else when our waiter came back to confront us with the fact that he had checked on us. "Why did you say it was good when I asked?" - we didn't. If you ask a question, maybe stay long enough to get an answer. His attitude turned me off so much we didn't order anything else. He came back a few minutes later with the bill having done us the great favour of "giving" us one of our inedible dishes for free. We spent $36 for a diet coke. I would not recommend this place. Other than our waiter, everyone else seemed understanding and nice.

Fish was a little dry steak and fries were pretty good great choice of beers Place is got character really nice So glad we sat inside good place to grab Some beers chat and enjoy this gem up the hill. Will be back.

This is a wonderful place! Sitting by the cobbled street, drinking a beer (about $9) and eating the best French Onion soup ($14) I've ever tasted. Friendly service, and even being patient with my terrible French (though their English was fluent). Absolutely awesome and very reasonably priced! This will be one of my best memories of Quebec.

This is oldest pub in the city. Love the old school pub feel. It has a welcoming atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive. Decent selection of brews. You can get a shot of maple whiskey for 3 bucks when you order a pint. Tried several food items between us and it was nothing to brag about.....sorry!

This is the Coolest pub we’ve ever been to and the French onion soup is amazing! 😋 This is a hidden gem and a must do in Old Quebec City! 👍🏼😁 Staff speak English and very friendly and welcoming.

Went back in time... I had the old fashioned with maple syrup whiskey OMG amazing! And the european hot dog with mustard was so good!!! This place is known for being in one of the oldest cellars in the area.

What? No rating for drinks? Beer gets 6 stars! Diverse beer styles, much more than web suggests. Service is great - great folks here. Food wasn't what was expected but turned out to be very good. I got mussels and pictured a hige bowl of Belgian mussels. A small jar of mussel meats were pickled and delicious, and served with a few nice small toasts. I don’t do IPAs. Menu has regular, traditional, special and funky brews. Everything I tried was excellent. Look me up on Untappd to see what I thought. Love La Barberie!

Such a quaint little place. We shared a fondue which had a nice balance of cheeses. We also ordered a lobster roll...we're from Maine and used to large chucks of fresh meat, this one had mayo, chopped celery and the meat was chopped fine, really not my cup of tea, but you may like it. The service was nice and welcoming. I would definitely go back.

less reviews than other restaurants in the area but makes up for it in surprisingly delicious food. seafood chowder was very flavorful and best i ever had. Poutine with smoked meat was better than La Banquise, the brown sauce was tastier and cheese was softer. pricing is much higher as it’s in a tourist location. very few seats. they double charged us for a pint of beer (didn’t realize it until its too late) 1 less star for that.

Our party of four had lunch at Le Pape Georges and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We asked our server for recommendations and she did not disappoint the fish and chips were delicious and perfectly cooked. The rest of the table had the octoberfest hot dog, wings, and the beef, all of which were just as impressive. Beyond the great food, the venue itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. There’s also a very nice selection of beers that paired perfectly with our meals. Highly recommend this spot for both the quality of the food and the overall experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

The food was delicious. I ordered the La Papale with the recommended cheeses. My partner ordered the lobster roll. We each had a Sidecar drink. I think my dish was the favorite. Great attention to detail, with the chef taking pride in his work. We polished it all off with minimal effort. The lobster roll was flavorful, with chunky lobster bites, and done in what they called a traditional Quebec style. It was a cozy space with plentiful outdoor seating as well. We dined inside due to weather, and were treated to watching the chef prepare our food just behind the counter. It was a fun show, and really helped demonstrate his love for the craft. Needs improvement: the Sidecar left a lot to be desired. Too sweet and unbalanced for what I expect in a Sidecar. I think next time I'd pass on a cocktail, in favor of wine or beer. Definitely a place worth checking out.

I’m so glad we made it here. First of all, they have a prime location. And live music! Typically a duo performing. We came to try their poutine and wow they do not disappoint. One-of-kind brown sauce (veal, bbq, red wine etc). All sourced from Quebec! Phil is the best. This is a must-try

Had an amazing time at this nightclub — the crowd and vibe were absolutely the best! 🎉 Security was polite and professional, and Leo truly stood out with his great attitude and helpfulness. Even though we don’t speak French, the staff made sure we felt welcome and assisted us in English — truly a great experience!

No cost to enter, drinks are overpriced, bouncers are bossy. But the vibes are incredible, if you pregame and only buy a drink or 2 there, it’s amazing. The music and the atmosphere is so fun. You cannot bring water in which is ridiculous as it is SO hot in there, I bought a water bottle inside, went outside for some fresh air, since it’s sweaty and gross inside, and I tried to re enter and the man screamed at me saying I can’t go in with that. I literally bought it inside your place…. Anyways, overall, the vibes and dancing is incredible, the service for drinks and slow and expensive, and the bouncers are bossy and want you to die of thirst!

Best music I’ve ever heard from an in house dj. Actually made this place a party. Techno, tech house, bass house. VIBES WERE IMMACULATE

The inside is nice, there are many bar stations and the staff was pretty friendly and helpful. The music was fun and pretty mainstream with all kinds of different stuff from the past 20 years. One thing about this place is that it's very geared towards young people. Nearly every person there seemed about 18 or even younger. So keep that in mind when planning to come here if that's something you want or not. I only stayed in the main room on the ground floor which had mainly hip hop and rap when I went. They charge $2.50 for coat check.

Nice local bar/club in Old Quebec with a decent patio and outdoor area. Plenty of space compared to other spots so it’s easier to sit and grab a quick drink without having to play any nonsense games.

Visited this nightclub during a trip to Quebec City. Enjoyed the multiply levels with different music, different vibes on each floor so you’ll find something you like. Security were fairly friendly even to non-French speakers (and even drunk non-French speakers). If I’m ever back in the city I might come here again, tequila is cheap!

Our last day in Quebec City, we stumbled upon St Joseph Rue, a very cool street where the locals dine and hang out. This restaurant had a great store front so we decided to come here for dinner. They have a good drink selection. My cider was great but my friends' cocktails were just average. The home made chips were great and the free bread and butter amazing. The calamari tasted like a hot dog so avoid that. Our main meals were great! The scallops were out of this world as was the cabbage rolls. The dessert was great too. We had the chocolate sampling, the chef's whim, and creme brulee. Go here for sure! Best restaurant in Quebec City from our experience!

My husband and I were just there July 18th for dinner. It was delicious and we loved the atmosphere. We order the nachos and salmon cakes to start then we ordered the meat platter for 2. It was exceptional, we highly recommend this restaurant to any foodies.

Extremely knowledgeable and kind staff, they make excellent drinks here. Try the rabbit - it was a stunningly flavorful plate. Portions a bit small for the price, get an appetizer if you've got a big appetite.

Always love the food and vibe here. Good music. If you love Tapas and sharing dishes the menu totally caters for that kind of experience. We went for pentoncles and tartare, both dishes where a delight in the mouth :) Massive selection of wines, located on the vibrant Saint Joseph you can't go wrong here. The Cercle peeps are big supporters of the arts, i love the visuals they show off. Also there are regular shows and exhibits on at this venue.

Great place to view shows from small artist, the entry cost can seem steep, but the performers are usually great and the drinks inside are not too expensive! The stage is pretty small but it is great for small and aspiring artists!

A bit pricey but not extreme, very hipster-y and the food was fantastic! I strongly suggest "la mania"... basically 1, 2 or 3 course meals to share for the table. Mostly items NOT in menu and they're all very good! WORTH IT!

We had a good time at Pub St-Patrick. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and the location is great. Prices are fair and the beer selection is really good. The food was okay, but here there is still some room for improvement. There was also live music, which created a nice atmosphere in the beginning, but later it became so loud (we were sitting inside at the high tables) that it was almost impossible to have a conversation. Still, we enjoyed our visit and we will be happy to come back again.

Good spot for a bite to eat. Wing were extremely small. Our server was very kind but busy so, it made getting food and refills that much longer. Our dessert. Dry too. Maybe next visit will be better.

Irish pub with screens for watching sports. The atmosphere is average, but definitely needs improvement: tables are sticky and too close together. Service is fairly quick, but the waiters struggle to manage the room once the place gets crowded. The Kilkenny beer and its taps are good, and the burger is decent, but the fries were soggy and cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough... maybe a little too much of a rush in the kitchen?

We loved our lunch at this Irish Pub located within the old part of Quebec City in a busy shopping district. Our order of Fish and Chips and enormous pretzels were served both quickly and piping hot. The pub has an old world charm. I love the mortared stone walls. The prices were quite reasonable.

We had a great plate of poutine and a pint of ale. They even had a great none alcoholic version that I really enjoyed. Staff was very friendly. Place had a lot of life in it.

We made reservations so we could watch the Super Bowl here and were so glad! The place was packed and the bar itself is so cool. The single waiter covered about 20 tables and he was fantastic-we hardly had to wait for anything, neither beverage nor food. All the local beers were good and the pub food was better than average-giant pretzel, chili, sandwiches. It was so fun celebrating the Eagles win with so many people. Highly recommend.

Nice venue, great bear collection, friendly waiters and delicious food🥰 We visited here as tourists on a sunday night as we wanted to try local beers. We enjoyed everything! The food menu is a bit limited but we enjoyed the pork ribs and especially the veggies burger😍 Waiters were super nice to us as english speakers. Thank you😊

We visited as part of a beer tour. The snack plate offered some unique options. Beers were good. We returned and tried the duck hearts and a full tasting flight on the patio. Nice place to relax on a rainy day inside, or a sunny one outside! I also liked how the washroom was built around large rocks.

Lovely little local brewery with friendly staff and plenty of outdoor seating. Tried a flight and all of the beers were good but I especially liked the Catnip IPA and the Sour beer. Sadly they no longer serve the duck confit poutine but I did enjoy the nachos. Also took the maple cake to-go. It’s light and delicate not too sweet at all.

Cats make it cool, the beers make it outstanding! Even with the kitchen out of service the bar snacks were outstanding. The team are known for their IPAs but the Mexican larger and gose were outstanding too. The big IPAs don't drink at the ABV they are. Also the brewery is an great gateway to the local area. Enjoy the music instrument shops, bars and cafes. And you are staying in the old town or port area, it involves zero stairs or big high gradient hills to get too...

Great spot - and we're not even beer drinkers! We were staying nearby so thought we'd give Noctem a go for dinner and so glad we did. Food was all brilliant - 2 excellent starters (hummus and goat cheese mousse) and a pork main that was a special on the day - it was amazing! Busy location, even early in the night, so a bit noisy but not so much so that we couldn't hear ourselves talk. Recommended.

Great location, we tried 4 beers and each one was a faithful example of the style. I particularly liked the 'Vision' New England Pale Ale (5.5%) and the New Zealand IPA was also very good. Service was friendly and attentive, and we would say the food menu has something for everyone. And great value too, so we are happy to recommend 👍

The beers were all good. The food was what you would expect, in a sad way. Overcooked, very deep fried menu, the vegetarian dish was uninspired. But the beer was good :) the terasses are nice as well. Good service.

We ate a late lunch here today. The beers were tasty and cold. The patio was inviting and our pup was welcome, but the tables were crammed so close together we couldn't move without disturbing others (chair backs touching). Take a deep breath and you will touch someone. It doesn't feel relaxed. The Peruvian ceviche was fresh and good. The beef skewers were as tough as shoe leather and had a seasoning on them I didn't care for (I usually like everything, but maybe it's just me). The Sandwich of the Moment was tuna, but it had a thick layer of chopped black olives on it that overpowered the tuna. I would not have been able to guess it was a tuna sandwich if it was a multiple choice test. Go for the beer. Eat beforehand. Consider sitting inside.

This place is a real treat! The service was great: we were outside when it started to pour, and despite it being very busy, our waitron found us a table inside. The food goes great with beer. The highlights for us were the fried fish balls and the cucumber salad. 5 plates was enough for 2 people. The drink pictured was DELICIOUS! It's the Ultra Slushie Raptor - I will dream of this drink.

We stumbled on this easy going restaurant and were surprised and refreshed. Patio seating, casual with soulful music. Small plates were each better than the next - marinated vegetables with a chill crispness came with a delicious dip. Cucumber salad with just the right heat in the dressing and veggie beignets. Great experience. Relaxing Sunday. Located slightly outside the core old town, La Barberie boasts a huge patio, a large selection of beer and some great eats. Definitely go with the flight if you're not familiar with the choices. I was impressed by the variety. The cacao vanilla stout was a standout. In addition, there was someone to watch the kids while we enjoyed our food and drink. Will be back soon hopefully!

Utterly delicious food and a great vibe. We sat on the patio, and the crowd was a mix of families, locals, and a very small number of tourists (including us). Our server was so fun and laid back, getting smiles out of our cranky kids and stopping to take our picture even though it was fairly busy. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our Griendel experience. I had a flight of beer and chose beers recommended by our server. They were some of the most unique beers I've tasted and I love that one of the owners took the time to talk with us about the beers. My wife and I both had a burger and poutine with our beer. The patty was pretty small but tasted great. Poutine was classic. The beer was the highlight.

Heirloom tomato sandwich was to die for and the service was very friendly :) great beer options too!

My husband and I were not sure about the place and so we split our two meals and didn’t get a side either but let me tell you... The burger was delicious and I was sad to only got to eat half of it! That tells you how yummy it is! I immediately told my husband I would 100% come back to eat it whole! The poutine was really good, great cheese and great sauce -however, wouldn’t recommend getting the pulled pork on it! 🙅🏻‍♀️The pulled pork took away from the amazing poutine! Just a regular poutine is the best! 💁🏻‍♀️ Lastly, the beer, my husband wasn’t a fan but many seem to love it so maybe he just didn’t pick the right ones? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Def good food!

Came alone while on vacation (from Ontario). Sat at the bar, staff were very friendly. Food and beer were great. Liked it so much I came back the next day.

There’s a $10 entry fee per person, and food/drinks are added to that. After we were seated, our “game master” came by and asked us what kinds of games we like (cooperative or competitive, strategic or social, etc). Then he came back with a few options for us. Every game he suggested was very fun. He was very helpful at explaining the rules, which was important since all the instructions are in French and we do not speak French. We were there late, and the kitchen closed at 11pm even though they open for games until midnight. That wasn’t a problem for us though. We didn’t order any food but the drinks were good.

My wife and teenage kids are here in Québec City on vacation from New Jersey. We were looking for a place to grab dessert and found this place. We like to play board games, so we gave it a shot. I was concerned we wouldn't be able to play any because we cannot speak French (unfortunately). But, a friendly and knowledgeable staff member asked us the sort of games we play and recommend three in English, taught us the rules, and we dove right in. The desserts were all excellent. This was a different experience for us. There are few opportunities to play board games in restaurants/bars/cafes outside of scheduled meetups and dedicated game stores. I'm glad we went and it was a nice and unexpected find.

We dropped by on our last night out! The board game is $10/ per person with a discount for drinks. Dominique and etienne were extremely welcoming and friendly. They explained how the board games work and we tried new games!

Nice game atmosphere, welcoming and fun. perfect for board game players and large gatherings. I only came in for a pizza which tasted burnt brocoli and the dough was hard. They are not set-up for take out of a “large” meal like a small pizza. They do not take USD in exchange but will take USD at par with CAD. $20 USD for a small burnt pizza is kind of hard to swallow.

Fun board game cafe. We came during off-hours and there was only one employee. Despite that, he took great care of us and made good recommendations from the menu. He wasn't super knowledgeable about the games, but I was told the game experts are only there during the busier times. Regardless, they had an excellent selection and we stayed for a few hours and enjoyed ourselves.

My friends and I went there and it was great. Don't worry if you still can't speak french, all the staff can help you in english and they can explain the game in english too. Basically, once you are on the table, you can order drinks or food and then the game master will come to your table to ask what games you prefer or they can give you recommendation. Then they will exolain to you about the game's rule. The atmosphere was pretty nice. I'll go there again for sure.

Open late and was near our accommodation which made it convenient! Service was a bit slow once we got seated but they were really nice despite a bit of a language barrier. The food was okay but the drinks were really good. It costs $8 to play games, the game masters were really well versed and super helpful when recommending games for groups! Great late night hangout for friends and was super busy too on a weeknight!

Spent a fun hour here while drinking a good IPA. Had the place to ourselves around 3:30 pm on Tuesday. Pinball machines do not work and the bartender said they used to have many more games but they start to breakdown and they become unrepairable. These place are still full of feel good nostalgia that we won’t find as easily as these classic games machines become extinct.

Love the vibe and concept. Super cool you can play games for free with a drink. Bartenders are nice. My gripe with the place was that a lot of the machines were not working (3 pinball machines were not operational, quite a few machines had bugs and errors so weren't able to be played, some machine buttons weren't working) which limited the play time. I left about an hour after going through all playable machines. I wish the machines had been better maintained and some customers been warned not to smash buttons to much. (I saw one customer having no regard for the machines)

Super cute place with lots of arcade games. It has the 90s vibes. Amazing place for a huge throwback! Very colourful lights and decoration. If you buy a drink, you can play as many arcade games as you want- for free! They also have food if you’re feeling a little hungry.

Very fun bar! You just have to order 1 drink per person (doesn't have to be alcohol either, they have soda and juice) and then you can play any of the games for free, except for Street Fighter. There's a cool selection of games that can keep you busy for a while. Some classics everyone knows and some lesser known ones. The games all have cup holders on them which is perfect. Nice and helpful staff. They only take cash (including American but at 1:1) and there's an ATM inside.

Sooooo, this place is a combo of an modern Irish pub meets Québécois fun. There was only the one bartender (François) working about 25 patrons and he rocked it! Fast as hell and as friendly as one can be in a busy pub! Trust me I know cuz I've been "in the weeds" behind the bar from working that side of the wood for over 15 years. It's not easy to to keep track of every order, pickup & clean glassware and still entertain your audience. Hats off and Très bien fait monsieur!

We looked up jazz clubs in Quebec City and found that St. Angeles was just down the street from our hotel. It was a true gem! A real jazz club where people came to listen to the music, not just have it playing in the background. The drinks were very reasonably priced and the service was very nice. We stayed for 4 hours and really enjoyed the music. It’s a very small space, so you need to get there early. We highly recommend it for people who love jazz.

A beautiful gem just steps away from St Jean with live jazz jam sessions every night! It’s an old building so be aware of needing to go up a winding stairway for the bathrooms and get there right at 8pm (for 9pm show) to get a good seat. It was warm, cosy, great staff, great vibes and a perfect place for a night cap (I mean for cocktails and beer, not much in the way of wine - so for a heads up!) a beautiful building steeped in history and feeling authentically local, given its location!

Came here on a Saturday night to enjoy some drinks and jazz with my partner and we had a fantastic time. The musicians were really talented and it was cool that everyone at the bar was focused on listening to and enjoying the music. It’s a real cozy and intimate spot- definitely a tight squeeze, so I recommend getting there before the band sets up (that was around 11 when we were there)

Went for the live jazz, stayed for the live jazz!!! Sneaky incognito hidden gem, warm and inviting with great vibes and a beautiful bartender - go early on weekend eves to get a seat downstairs. Highly recommended, I will definitely return.

Great mood here. The beers are OK, just a bit smooth, but they are effective alcohol wise. I tried the 16 and 21 - a porter and witbierbut ended up ordering the number 23 which was a 9.5% red berry beer. I'm not usually a sweet alcohol fan but this one wasn't but and it was effective. A bit sour/ tart but still pretty thin flavor like the other beers. My feedback would be too concentrate the flavor of possible or experiment with different points of specific gravity.

Love that the restaurant has kept the finishes (and vault!) of the former bank. Staff was lovely and friendly, just as attentive to me as a solo traveller as to their bigger tables. The selection of local craft beers is amazing. I had the gravlax and the roasted lettuce ranch salad, both were fantastic. The team of two front of house and two back of house staff worked super efficiently together and had fun vibes.

It was at the beginning of one of Quebec's many festivals. If you read the signs first, you can adore and appreciate all of the joy of people gawking. I did enjoy the festival. Few to no chiildren exposed. Those few who were seemed happy. It was appropriately adult oriented event.

A little hidden gem I Quebec City. 🙏🏼😁 Many great beers and ciders - that changes every day - written on a huge blackboard on the wall… you can get a “tasting menu” with 4 beers so you can have a little of everything… you MUST try the sour ones… wow wow wow. 😁🍻 You can also eat there… not the biggest menu… but most of it is very good. 😁 maybe the best burger in town served with HOMEMADE fries 🙏🏼 but then again the fried chicken is one of the worst I’ve ever had… tasteless and uninspired… they should take it off the menu… if I only had that I wouldn’t return… the chili/spicy mayo served with it was amazing though…! BUT then again one bad thing doesn’t make the place bad… the salmon tatare was very good and the fish and chips was very very good… so all in all a very nice place with good food, amazing beers and nice service. Take a moment to treat yourself with a visit 😁

The best place to get craft beer!! They have so many options. You can try the tasting menu with 4 types of beer. The hamburger is also incredible, the meat was the best and the fries are insanely delicious. There’s a vegan burger as well. A nice vibe, everyone is friendly and bilingual, there’s no problem if you don’t speak French. The service is fast even if the place is full.

Would return, would recommend. Large blackboards full of different beers and ciders. A great focused menu with gastropub elements. Fish and Chips are a highlight, with perfectly fried chips, perfectly fried crispy fish that isn't oily or soggy. Tartare sauce is delicious and wish they come with a larger serving. The cheese board is a hit and miss - smoked duck amazing, olives were old, salmon was delicious, cheese was a miss, cured meats delicious. Mushroom was kind of random and not properly browned. Overall I think you will have an amazing time here exploring their selection of brew.

Stopped by Pub Borgia to shelter from a torrential rainstorm and the staff were quite accomodating. Ended up sharing a delicious French Onion Soup and Mozzarella Sticks which I paired with a St. Ambroise Red. All items were very tasty, especially after a bit of puddle hopping to get to the pub. The restaurant, being located in such an old stone building, has a perfect atmosphere for a public house. We enjoyed our time at Pub Borgia. Recommended!

During our trip to Quebec, my wife and I stopped by Pub des Borgia. It’s a cozy little spot in a great location, right in the middle of Old Quebec, which makes it easy to pop in while exploring the area. This was my first time trying French onion soup, and I’ve got to say, it was really good. I can’t compare it to any other place since it was my first time, but I enjoyed it. The flavor was rich, and it felt like good comfort food, especially on a cool day. We also had some wings and a couple of beers. The wings were tasty and the beer hit the spot, nothing over the top, but solid and just what you’d expect from a good pub. Overall, it’s a nice spot to relax, grab a bite, and enjoy a drink after walking around.

Nestled in the heart of old town and either before or after a lengthy trip up stairs from the bottom of the old city to the top, Pub Borgia is a welcome oasis of both suds and sounds. Their wait staff was incredibly kind and charming, the atmosphere amazing and in the two times I visited, not a single track on their playlist missed. It's a great place to stop in and spend some time and I will miss it and the people who work there quite a bit! Such a fun place!

Friendly staff but kitchen is slow. Had lunch at 130pm, had a French onion soup and croque monsieur. Both dishes have tons of cheese that was still a bit hard from not being thoroughly melted. Food was not hot and only ok flavour-wise. Higher prices due to touristy location. Disappointing.

We got to Quebec late Saturday, so we just looked up La Cuisine on Google Maps. It had great reviews and was only 4m walk. It was chill, comfy, with good beer, food, and friendly Canadians. Interestingly, two ladies ran the whole busy place, from taking orders to cleaning and cooking. We got French onion soup, garbage roll, lasagna, hummus and IPAs beers. The food was delicious, with good portions and reasonable prices. It was a great experience!

I will begin by saying my wife and I visit Quebec City very often - and we have been to most restaurants many times:: La Cuisine is our favourite. La Cuisine is perfect. The food is delicious - pate chinois (Shepherd's Pie) - Cigar au Choux ( cabbage rolls) - and a range of tasty choices. The service is attentive, professional and heartfelt. Atmosphere - if you are local or visiting Quebec and wish to feel a genuine embrace: 13/10 - (thirteen out of ten) really - At first you might think it is kitsch but really it is a beautifully curated warm hearted art gallery. I cannot recommend strongly enough.

We found this place by google Maps in Quebec City because there is an affordable parking in front of it! (20 dollars for 24 hours! Haha). From the second we walked in, the experience was amazing. The girl who welcomed us was super friendly and honestly changed the whole vibe in the best way. She was so sweet and helpful, and the way she spoke to us made everything feel extra special. We weren’t very hungry, so she suggested we share the shepherd’s pie instead of getting two small plates and it was the perfect idea. It was really tasty and felt healthy as well. The service was just as good as the food, and she checked in with us with the same friendly energy all the way through. The inside of the restaurant was adorable. It had really cute decorations, even the bathroom had its own style, and they had a little game console in the middle too. Everything looked and felt fresh and homemade. We sat outside since it was a bit cold inside, but we loved the whole experience and would definitely go back.

Went here tonight with my dad and the vibes were amazing! The waitress was really sweet despite my numerous attempts at a very butchered (Quebecois) French. All the authentic Quebecois suggestions for the drinks, dishes and desserts were super tasty. Will be trying to recreate them back home :) All in all it was an amazing experience. Food was great, place had a great atmosphere to it and there were even some retro video game consoles to play with. Merci pour la nourriture incroyable!

My wife found the place on Google maps because it was close to our hotel. I'm so happy that she did! The place is amazing. Our server noticed we were not from around and asked if we spoke English or French and we said we speak English but wanted to try to practice French since we've been taking classes. He was so nice and patient, very cool vibes, and we're so thankful for having had an awesome training wheels experience with him. All the food and the drink were delicious. He created a cocktail based on a couple likes of ours. For food we had french onion and the dessert was pouding chômeur à l’érable. Will definately want to come back!

Definitely get the stuffed cabbage roll; it's unique and great. The decor looked a bit old but maybe others enjoy the antique look.

Didn't like this place at all. We visited on a Sunday night as tourists. The area was far and nothing interesting was going on. We entered and a waitress sat us. We were waiting 10min for a menu and another waiter came with attitude and told us we should scan some QR code. If you want people to scan you should tell them once they get there like any other places in the world!!! And then they went and didn't come back for a while! Since the place and the menu were nothing special and we didn't care for their bad hospitality, we prefered to walk back another 30min to a place that we are welcome at least😡 Don't recommend this place to any tourists.

The employees are really kind and give good suggestions for drinks and snacks. I passed an excellent evening with my friend for over 2 hours straight. I was passing by the restaurant and my friend was there already. She took a beer or two. I took a beeramisu that was just so sweet and delicious. With the crème brûlée, it was to die for. Then I had a mix of many beers followed by a really well garnished onion soup. I feel like returning almost every week to try out any new items on the menu.

I had an unforgettable afternoon tea experience. It truly was amazing 🥹 The food tasted absolutely wonderful. Each peace had its unique and creative combination of flavors. I could tell they were made with lots of care and love. We were seated in a cozy nook next to the fireplace, the perfect spot for a cold winter night. We enjoyed the food and went with the waiter’s recommendations, including the incredible fries—crispy and topped with grated St-Louis cheese—and a refreshing homemade lemonade. We also indulged in the Billionaire’s Bar, a melt-in-your-mouth confection with a soft peanut butter center coated in rich chocolate.

Pretty average 5 star hotel bar Stopped by on my last day in town since I was staying at the hotel. The bar sat right in the lobby, overlooking a small exhibit featuring a historic cannon under the staircase. They’re apparently better known for their weekend afternoon tea, which explained why it was nearly empty on a weekday afternoon. The cocktail list leaned traditional. Mostly spirit-forward classics built around gin, rum, and vodka. Not much in the way of creativity or modern flair. I went with Corn and Oil, which was a good classic, though not exactly what I was in the mood for. Food was underwhelming overall. The oysters were fine (which is a low bar in Quebec), and the truffle fries were solid, but the fish crudo was bad. The combo of endive, melon, and fish sounded interesting, but the melon was unripe and the fish wasn’t very fresh. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but for the price (and the setting) it should’ve been better.

We are staying at the hotel and have had drinks and dinner at the restaurant. Drinks at the bar were great with excellent service. Dinner however was quite a different experience. The service was very slow. Food was not timed well as we received our starter and then immediately after the main. We waited such a long time for water, refilling our drinks and subsequent courses. Additionally the thanksgiving dinner was not seasoned well and not served with the described items. The lasagne was very good although a small portion. I am not sure the restaurant reflects the accolades of the hotel.

Drinks took a bit too long … while we waited we were not offered any bar snacks (peanuts/popcorn). Once drinks were served, they were not served on coasters. We actually folded a napkin in half. My wife ordered an Espresso Martini … served in a stemmed rock glass … they were out of martini glasses. 2 stars due to poor experience vs. cost of two drinks … it was not cheap.

Very relaxing after a day of sight-seeing. We were welcomed graciously and seated quickly. The craft cocktails were supremely well made and served in beautiful glassware. And clear ice! The food was delicious and portions were generous. The pork ribs were great and the Caesar salad was perfect. Dessert was fantastic! The service was spot on all night. All the staff were friendly and pretended my school French was perfect! Can’t say enough good about Bar Artefact.

I went here during the winter holiday season (2024) to enjoy some Christmas inspired drinks, which were very delicious. I had the mushrooms eggs Benedict, two of the run run reindeer, a chrismaspolitan, and the snowball old fashion. Very nice pop-up Christmas themed drinks 🍸.

We stopped by Maelstrom during our visit to Quebec City and it quickly became our favorite restaurant in town. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and provided quick service. All the food was a hit. Each dish tasted so fresh and clean. Definitely recommend going if you’re in town or wanting to try a new place!

Every aspect of Maelstrøm was a welcome surprise — from the warm lighting and inspiring decor to the eclectic mix of Mediterranean and Quebecois cuisine to the charming staff eager to make the experience a memorable one. We visited 2 days back to back and cannot stop raving about it! Looking forward to visiting again in the near future!

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Went there for brunch on a Saturday morning. There were plenty of places to sit. The food was great and cheap (40ish for 3 plates (tapas sizes) and 2 awesome coffees). We took the avocado bene, the veggies (oh my lord trust me on this one juste take it) and the hummus toast #miammmm Definitely would recommend.

It’s right next to my hotel. It has a lively vibe. Nice to have a walk and sample the different cuisine in the cafe patio.

I dropped by for a coffee and cigarette, and they let me stay. Because I was smoking in front of a police car just sitting there reading to ticket me. LOL. They never did. :) Come to find out it is a big festival today. I had to laugh. I kinda noticed. They hate me. I have no issue with the new ALPHA bet. ! Good times to remember.

One of the best bars of Quebec. We went with my wife while on a weekend in Quebec. The bar was a bit hard to find but that’s part of the charms. The place has a great personality. The staff was super helpful to answer any doubt we would have. And the cocktail menu has a lot of options for all tastes and all the ones we tried were delicious. There are also some few snack options on the menu but we went there just for drinks. Definitely recommend the place for any couple in the area.

Cheap local beers (enjoyed both their Boreale blonde and IPA, combined for $6.50), met some really friendly and warm locals that I wasn't expecting to find as an Anglophone in Quebec on a Wednesday night in a pretty exclusively Francophone bar. Even got to play some courtesy pool for free with some of the guys. If you're not shy to interact with some characters, it's a ton of fun.

Nothing more and nothing less. The place is okay to grab a beer with reasonable prices in weekdays but is not suited to socialise on week days.

I dive bar that sometime has show. The quality of the sound is not the best, but the place is still fun.

Enjoyed the atmosphere more than the food. Service was great, but maybe busy night and we waited a while for main dishes. Mac and cheese too small pricy for appetizer, make it bigger maybe? The rest was delicious, we were happy.

While good, a little bit overpriced for the quality/quantity. The food is nice and there's a great variety of dishes, yet it feels like the portions are a little small. The service was good, kind and quick, and they were always attentive. Overall inside it feels cozy, yet a little dark, Also, it was very noisy (probably we were just unlucky that there was a big table of young girls shouting).

Due to the history of the building and the sheer jaw-dropping splendor of the exterior, it's views and decor inside its worth a visit. Yes you'll pay a little more for the drinks and food but you don't go there unaware. Overall it's worth a visit just for what it is versus going there to try Michelin food and innovative cocktails, there are other places in Quebec City that are worth a visit for those elements.

Everything was amazing. I felt transported back to the Raffles Hotels in Cambodia. The smokiness was incredible, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The 1943 tasted like Canada in a drink—smoky, strong, sweet meets liquor. The mixology was fresh, vibrant, and at its best. Desserts were equally delightful, pairing perfectly with our drinks. The Apple Pie cocktail was another highlight; it literally tasted like an apple pie! All orders were handled by Guillaume, who was professional and friendly—a true pleasure to interact with him! The setting by the fireplace felt like being at a ski resort, which made the experience even more perfect. I highly recommend these cocktails and the place!

Google seems to think that this is a restaurant. This is a bar that serves appetizers. I think this is supposed to be reserved for hotel guests but we were served and were not staying at the hotel. The cocktail offerings were unique and tasty. The drinks were served in appropriate glassware with single large ice cubes, where appropriate. This is a true cocktail bar. We were served complimentary bowls of snack mix to go with our drinks. Half of the seating has views of the river. I would highly recommend enjoying a drink here.

Phenomenal food, we had the salmon tartar and the catch of the day, swordfish with pureed carrots, roasted mushrooms and an almond butter sauce. Both were divine. Dinner was so good we had to have some dessert and we were not disappointed with the earl grey tiramisu. Also really appreciated the extensive non alcoholic beverage options as well as plentiful alcohol options.

Food was very good. We had the “pour 2” which was octopus surf and bison turf on a bed of roasted root vegetable and mash potatoes with Caesar salad. Very hearty, very French country. Also the flat iron streak was great and cooked to medium rare- more on the rare side, as requested. Steak tartare good as well. Had a dollop of whipped egg yolk cream on top- very interesting.

What a lovely place. The food was outstanding, so fresh and delicious. It was a cold rainy day so I had their homemade soup of the day. Normally served with bread but as I do not eat gluten I refused this. The soup was a perfect portion and very flavourful. Then I had the roasted chicken leg with vegetables and salad. The portion was enormous. I ended my meal with a small portion of a lemon lime sorbet. I would absolutely return. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in the city.

Lovely bistro with a well priced lunch menu. Seafood chowder, house wine, and especially charcuterie plate were excellent. Friendly service and nice space out of the rain.

I am pleased to share this review. Well, this restaurant is located right near the La Vivriere fountain statue. This restaurant is an absolute gem. It is everything a french bistro should be. Chef Nikolas Couture has worked hard at developing his brigade, I noted he made a point of thanking and reaching out to acknowledge every staff member of his brigade and service before he retired for the night. The staff here loves their job, it is apparent by the smiles and the effortless way in which they interact with the diners. This restaurant has a warm unpretentious inviting family feel. I don't know how this Chef does it, Nikolas is passionate about sourcing out farmers that truly care about their product, he knows everything about the farm, the farmers and how close the food is to the restaurant. This restaurant deserves a Michelin Star, I just hope that when they are awarded this that they never lose sight of what they have built. There are several restaurants in Quebec City that hold Michelin stars; this one deserves it hands down - exceptional is one word that comes to mind. Louise Taverne is a great example of what a farm to table restaurant should be. It is so good that I began with lunch the first day I ordered the foie gras torchon which was to die for, served on a homemade blini made with duck fat and shallots cooked with savoury fresh herbs, and if that wasn't enough this on top was a dollop of sweet corn ice cream. This combination was very unusual and magical, there is an interesting combination of flavours and it all works! I am still dreaming about this dish. I also ordered the Sashimi of Red Tuna, so fresh it melted in your mouth, served on homemade focaccia which had a spread of cream deo gratias cheese it was finished with fresh small flowers, fresh herbs, small tomatoes, it was so beautiful that it took me awhile to take my knife and fork to this culinary gift. Lunch was good, dinner was exceptional and today we went for breakfast and it was also delicious. The French toast is unconventionally served with mascarpone cheese and once again it hit the mark. I love this restaurant. I have had many fine meals in Vieux Quebec; this one though holds a special place in my heart. Superb! We had an incredible dining experience at Louise Taverne & Bar à Vin! Everything we ordered was outstanding – the flat steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the salmon with tartar was fresh and beautifully prepared, and the catch of the day was simply amazing. Our host Marc truly made the evening special – attentive, warm, and knowledgeable, he made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for excellent food, great ambiance, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

Get the special! we got the pork and octopus, EVERYTHING was perfect! From the vegs- freshest greens, sweetest tomatoes, and that sauce and pork! But the star has to be the tender, juicy perfectly grilled octopus. For desserts we try the crème caramel with foie gras!! And yes, they really work well together, probably the best custard I’ve ever had. The taco crepe was also good but is pale in comparison.

I had a dinner here during my time staying in Lévis, and we stayed at the nearby hotel (which is also a great gem) and it is fantastic: the interior now with the rework make it feel more like a upper end establishment, and the pizza here is my favourite: the combination of American style with fluffy taste, and all the food here are quite nice, and the server here are also are also very patient, and the service is very on time. The fish and chips is terrible. Small and burnt. Fries hard and skinny. Pad Thai didn't taste like phad Thai. Chef has to visit a Thai restaurant and learnt first. Not worth the money.

Second time visiting Delice this week; we had a great experience last Friday so were keen to return. We’re not bilingual in Quebecois (only English) so ordering food was a challenge even though we were provided with English menus. We opted for non-alcoholic cocktails, entrees and main course. Drinks and starters arrived quickly but unfortunately one entree was wrong - salmon arrived instead of tuna. Took 15/20 mins to correct. We ate entrees separately which was not great. For main courses we had steak et fries and mouelles et frites. Both excellent. Setting and atmosphere is great, energetic vibe. Just a shame about mess up with entrees and delay.

My wife picked this locally loved spot to try Quebec poutine while we were Quebec City. We ordered the Poutine Dulton Saucisses and the Galvaude — both were tasty, and the gravy really stood out. Rich, flavorful, and exactly what you'd hope for in a classic poutine. A quick heads-up: unless you have a serious appetite, go with the smallest portion size. It’s very generous and more than enough for one person.

While the gravy and cheese curds were actually quite nice, the fries looked and tasted like they’d been cooked in old oil, which took away from the dish overall.

Absolutely one of the best Hawaiian pizzas we have ever had! The Bistro Salad was also awesome. The Blueberry Mousse cake was the perfect end to the meal. Our server Michael was wonderful and very attentive. You will not be disappointed here!

My husband and I were visiting from Maine and had our anniversary dinner at Chez Tao. The atmosphere was fun, service was phenomenal, and it was the most delicious food we had while in Quebec! Our server (I wish I knew her name!) was wonderful about recommending drinks based on our preferences. We shared the vegan spring rolls, fried chicken, and pad thai, and all three were amazing- fresh and flavorful. I saw that many reviews mention not being able to make a reservation, but we were able to make a reservation online. The only downside was that parking was a bit of a challenge because they’re in the midst of digging up the entire road the restaurant is on, but don’t let that deter you!

Had Happy Hour drinks and share plate dinner at this "Tiki" themed bar. The cocktails were good, Thai style friend beef noodle, seafood curry and deep fried shrimp wrap were delicious and satisfying. Friendly and attentive service made this a 5 star experience! Highly recommend.

The fried chicken was hard and the bao buns dry and doughy. It may be because it was so busy, but the food wasn't prepared with care. I imagine it would have tasted much better if it hadn't been overcooked. Outside of dinner rush you might have better luck. I did enjoy the dessert of mango sorbet. My servers were all very attentive and courteous as well. No complaints of the service.

It was quite late at night at around 23h00 when we craved some Asian food as we were walking around the Château, pulled Google, and found Chez Tao! that's fortunately closing at 01h00. There was construction going on during our visit, so the travel to reach the establishment was frustratingly exhausting, but as soon as we had sat down (parking was quite tricky) and our server (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name) took our order of Vegan Pad Thai and a Yuzu cocktail (I think it was!?), everything else didn't matter because the food and drink were ★★★★★! We had only ordered one for two people to share, and it was more than enough! We were left full and satisfied. We'll definitely visit again!

We had to wait about 20 mins for a table, but were able to order a drink while we waited. The staff are very nice. Service was great. We ordered the fried chicken and the pulled pork bao buns. The food was really good. The only thing I would say is that the bao buns could have used more cabbage for a fresh crunch. The drinks were great. Overall, we had a great time. Definitely recommend!

Stumbled up this awesome restaurant when the other place we wanted to check out had a long line up, this turned out to be such a great experience. The vibe here is very chill and relaxed, we sat at the bar and enjoyed many cocktails and oysters. Servers were very friendly and the drinks and food were absolutely delicious.

do not be deceived by "diner" because diner saint-sauveur serves great tasting meals that are better than some higher end restaurants we have been to. I had the chicken and waffles and lamented that the portion size was not bigger because it was so good and not because it was too small. my wife had the goat cheese and tomato pasta and my daughter and I were stealing bites throughout the meal. our kids ate their "macaroni like at home" so fast that I checked their bowls when they told me they were already done. the only downside was that the whole street was ripped up so it got a little dusty whenever a car drove by. definitely not what I expected from the exterior but so glad we are here!

W had dinner here a couple nights ago. The food was top notch and the service was great. The only downside was the construction, it was nearly impossible to find somewhere to park and the street itself is ripped up. It was worth the hassle though. I'm glad we persevered.

After staggering through the current construction work (both road and pavement), we were welcomed by a friendly group that gave up their table so we could sit near the front! I took up the menu's challenge (no extras will be refused) and had a delicious shepherds pie with a fried egg on top and orangaide. (It was a little bit too busy on a Saturday night.)

We saw this place on Food Network's Big Food Bucket List, so we gave it a try. A nice little place off the beaten path (less tourists), but accommodating our lack of French abilities by serving us in English. They call themselves a "Small "Retro-Punk" neighborhood restaurant" and the decor and music were definitely to that image but in a fun and friendly way. My wife had a Montreal hot dog (hot dog with coleslaw) while I had the Diner Burger with waffles in place of the bun and we had fried onions and classic poutine as sides. They also had a small selection of alcohol free beer, which is greatly appreciated as I like beer, but I don't like drinking when I am eating out and have to drive somewhere. I got an alcohol free IPA by Ras L'Bock which had a great citrus note that paired very well with the Diner Burger. The Diner Burger is very big and the waffles definitely add to the massive size. Great flavour with the fried onions and bacon, it filled me up. The fried onions had a salt and vinegar flavour to them and the classic poutine with real cheese curds is a must. Glad we found this place!

Went out of our way to hit this spot and we were disappointed. Tried the Diner burger, chicken and waffles, poutine, and cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Staff was super friendly and the decor/vibe is very laid-back and cool.

The food is decent and they have a solid variety of beer to choose from. The food is also generously sized portions, so you will get full. The food was subpar I've never had a beef patty that was so overcooked it was crunchy. I replaced the fries with a routine and that was okay. It is a far cry from banquise but it is very comparable with a poutine from burger King. As far as the portion goes, it was on the small size the burger was like a mcdouble (cheeseburger from McDonald's value menu) the poutine replacement was small as well. The food wasn't that bad but the service was terrible. We didn't even finish the last bite of food that the waiter came to see if we wanted the bill. The restaurant is on two floors and they had plenty of room, they came to see us 3 times within 38 minutes and we finally left. I wish we had that service after we ordered perhaps we could have had a refill of water. It's a loud place, a great place to go out with friends and have a good time. Bathrooms were clean and the second floor was way quieter than the first floor. Overall it's a tad expensive for the quality and quantity you're getting. Perhaps my next visit will go better. You have many options on saint Denis I'd say perhaps try another place if you want to have better quality of food and definitely you'll get better service elsewhere. The poutine canard conflit (duck poutine) was a generous portion and delicious (please note it is very salty).

What made the experience more disappointing was that no manager came by to apologize or offer any sort of explanation. Given the kitchen issues and unavailable menu items, it would’ve been appropriate to acknowledge the inconvenience or even suggest we go elsewhere if they couldn’t fulfill the core items we’d ordered. It felt like poor communication and oversight. The only positive note was that the service picked up when it was time to pay. However, it also wasn’t mentioned that the tip was already included, which would’ve been helpful to know upfront. Overall, the restaurant needs to be better prepared and more transparent with guests when things aren’t going smoothly.

The place is great for hanging out or watching a game. But when it comes to my experience, it was a bit different. I got my food and everything seemed fine, but then a server came by and asked if we needed anything. My parents asked for ketchup, and just as I was about to make a request, the server walked away as soon 'ketchup' was mention. (The server got them a small cup of ketchup). Didn't looked up to see if another request was necessary and left. "Second photo have ketchup since my parents decided to give it to me". Later, while trying my food, I found it tasteless in my opinion. I decided to ask another server for some salt to add flavor. Located right outside of Marché Bonsecours, it’s the perfect place for taking a drink on a hot summer day. The Brew Juice was surprisingly good. It’s not too sweet and blends well with the beer. Wien is a pretty good lager too. The fried chicken is not good tho, im always sad to see a bad friend chicken.

We were out enjoying the day, but being a hot summer day we wanted something to cool us down. My wife had looked up BreWskey earlier and saw that they were known for having good smoked meats. Thankfully when we checked the menu we saw they had a salad option so we decided to try them out. The hostess was really friendly and got us seated quickly and wiped our table down. The waitstaff was quick and friendly getting us some waters and talking to us about the beer options on tap. They took our order for the smoked chicken caesar salad and our beers. They came back out with the drinks quickly so we could enjoy them while waiting for the food. I got the 'Lots of Riwaka' beer, since it used only the specialty Riwaka hops. Absolutely delicious beer, nice and hazy, one of the better IPAs I've had and will definitely be keeping an eye out for this hop variety. The smoked chicken caesar came out and it was a pretty good size salad, definitely a full meal. The smell of the chicken is great, you can really smell and taste that they do smoke the chicken. It might be a bit strong, but with the caesar dressing in the salad it worked really well. The meat was really tender and the salad greens were fresh and crispy. Very enjoyable experience all around and the out door seating is great.

I visited the pub and sat at the bar and came back and sat at the middle bar area ( I forget what they called it). I liked the barleywine. The other beers were alright. Good service. I only tried the salmon bites and they weren’t my jam. They were the Canadian smoked style salmon which I’m not. Huge fan of. Although I did like the place and the vibe for being on the edge of such a touristy spot. Given the location i did like this place.

We stopped by BreWskey Pub for a few drinks, and it was a nice, casual spot to relax for a bit. Nothing too fancy, just a laid-back atmosphere with good beer and friendly service. They have a nice selection of local brews, and it’s a great place to unwind after walking around Old Montreal. The vibe is easygoing, not too loud or crowded and it feels like the kind of place where you can just sit, talk, and enjoy a drink without any rush. We didn’t try the food this time, but the drinks were solid, and we’d happily come back again for another round.

Really great beer! The bartender offered to pour us samples of any beers we wanted to try. We ordered their IPA and it was fantastic! Had lots of flavour and the right amount of citrus.

Absolutely excellent craft brewery. Outstanding selection of great beers, and another equally great atmosphere. Dog friendly patio and inside. Really nice menu also. Would recommend any of the poutine dishes.

The food was very good and the staff super nice. Travelling with our furry one is always a challenge, and we were easily able to eat outside with our dog. We had a great time! The menu was varied with lots of local products and the choice of beer was impressive ! We urge you to try it!

Good selection of pub foods with a bent on local producers. Nice broad selection of beers & some ciders and IF you are Scotch drinker, a good choice of single malts to choose from. A bit noisy but a relaxed atmosphere. We return regularly.
