Cocktail bar
Floreria Atlántico is a unique cocktail joint and gastrobar concealed behind a hidden door within a florist shop. Renato 'Tato' Giovannoni, the renowned bartender and creator, drew inspiration from both the sea and the land to curate a diverse menu that reflects Argentina's indigenous and immigrant cultures. The bar's intimate design, long bar, and open kitchen foster engaging conversations between patrons and bartenders.
We did not order any food, but the drinks were really good: creative, delicate, authentic. I recommend the one with cachaca. We ordered a dessert and it was kind of small however it was good. The place is pretty, I liked the low lighting and the atmosphere.
Isadora A — Google review
Rating: 4.8/5 [dine in] This speakeasy is tucked inside a flower shop and has made the World's Top 50 Bars list for 11 years, so we had to check it out! We came on a Friday around 6:30 PM and were seated right away. The vibe was calm enough to hold a conversation, though we were told that around 9:30 PM a DJ comes on and the energy shifts. After walking through the flower shop, a host led us through a hidden door and down a flight of stairs into the bar. The menu is extensive, so it took us a few minutes to decide, but our cocktails arrived quickly. Presentation is simple with no flashy garnishes, yet the drinks were crystal clear and incredibly balanced. They were so good we finished them fast. Highly recommend the Yvy Maraey (14,800 ARS)!
Angelica L — Google review
A small flower shop crammed with blooms of every kind is your gateway to Florería Atlántico. Down the narrow stairs lies a softly lit space that hums with conversation, clinking glasses, and the quiet energy of discovery. The layout is long and slightly curved, with the bar and stools running along one side and tables lining the other. At the far end, a large mirror creates the illusion of endless depth. The low lighting and gentle ’70s soul music complete the speakeasy atmosphere — intimate, nostalgic, and perfectly in tune with the bar’s effortless style. I ordered the Pehuén, a smooth, layered blend of Hennessy VS Cognac, Hendrick’s Gin, Pehuén orgeat, and Falernum of Merken. Its tropical, nutty, and fresh profile struck a perfect balance between warmth and brightness. I also tried the king crab empanadas — delicate, buttery, and filled with sweet, briny crab! It’s the kind of bar that doesn’t just serve cocktails; it tells stories through them. Each drink reflects Argentina’s immigrant heritage — Italian, Spanish, English, and beyond — blending cultures just as the city does. Every sip feels intentional, crafted for both memory and curiosity. The bartenders move with quiet confidence, happy to share the origin of a spirit or the reason behind a garnish. The crowd is lively — and even when loud, it’s always with a celebratory energy. It’s easy to understand why Florería Atlántico remains among the World’s 50 Best Bars. Making reservations is highly recommended. But you maybe able to catch a spot at the bar, especially if you’re just looking to have a drink or two.
John A — Google review
Florería Atlántico truly lives up to its reputation as one of the World’s 50 Best Bars. Hidden beneath a flower shop, it offers an atmosphere that feels both secret and alive. Reservations are essential — it fills up fast, and with good reason. The food menu is small, but every dish is well thought out and beautifully executed. Still, the real magic here is in the cocktails. Each drink tells a story, crafted with precision and creativity that’s rare even at this level. It’s not just a bar — it’s an experience. A must-visit for anyone who loves mixology done with soul.
Hector V — Google review
Stepping into the shop front on the street level, full of flowers. The smell was amazing. The server takes you downstairs to the intimate yet lively bar. Cocktails were amazing. As were the bar snacks. Please visit Floreia Atlantico whenever you are in BA.
R H — Google review
Fun place to visit with its secret entrance through the fridge door. Of the drinks we ordered, one was amazing and two were a bit disappointing. Music too loud - at around 7pm - to have a proper conversation. Service was excellent. Not convinced it's value for money - I'm glad I went but have no desire to return.
Matt S — Google review
We absolutely loved our experience here! The atmosphere was spectacular and the drinks were incredible. But what really made our experience was the staff (especially Lisandro)—so friendly and amazing mixologists. We each got two cocktails, but Lisandro let us taste several different liquors. We had so much fun—highly recommend.

Wine bar
Restaurant
Vico Wine Bar in Villa Crespo offers a unique and interactive wine-tasting experience, making it an ideal spot for a memorable date night. Upon arrival, guests receive a special card to self-serve from over 100 bottles using by-the-glass dispensers. Knowledgeable sommeliers are on hand to offer guidance, and patrons can complement their wine selection with small plates or a cheese board.
Wonderful wine bar, cool design, a wide selection of wines and a variety of starters and main courses. We were treated well by Emerson and Santiago who made us feel very welcome. We can absolutely recommend this place and will certainly come back if we are in the area!
Johannes R — Google review
We enjoyed many different types of wine using their fun self serve dispensers! Also, we had dinner and everything was amazing. We tried the fish of the day and the chicken as well as a number of different appetizers and everything was delicious. Would 100% recommend visiting. We went without a reservation but it did fill up, so it might be best to try to make a reservation in advance if you can. The atmosphere and service weee also 10/10!
Miolyka P — Google review
Great way to taste many great Argentina 🇦🇷 wines in one course. Lucas did a GREAT 👍🏼 job in helping me make all the decisions aligned to my palate, as the assortment of alternatives is large. Food was also a positive surprise. Definitely will return.
Jose V — Google review
Great and unique concept!! You get a card and choose your wine directly from the bottle. Good food as well, great service.
Chen A — Google review
I have never come across a self-serving wine bar before and this is incredible. The sommeliers really knew their stuff. I don't know my wines very well, I just know what I like and they got it right for sure!
Charlie H — Google review
Finally the style of wine bar we can find abroad has arrived to BA: the system allows you to choose which wine you want to taste and how much you want have of it (35, 50 or 75 ml). The wine selection is really good and the space is beautifully decorated. Service is attentive and you can see the staff is ready to assist you with wine. In terms of gastronomy they offer a selection of nice tapas and some main courses. Gazpacho was really nice. But be aware that portions are a little small and focus on the wine experience. Reservations are highly recommended.

Lovely place with wonderful staff. Both wine and food were delicious!!!

Uptown is a trendy hangout known for its international cuisine and cocktails, with a unique New York subway-themed entrance. The bar replicates the experience of entering a New York subway, complete with turnstiles and an actual train car to step into before revealing a stunning bar area. It's recommended to arrive early or make reservations due to its popularity.
Really cool design, based on a New York subway station, very authentically presented and a real wow factor. The staff, from the bouncer to the bartenders to the waiters, are all very nice and friendly. I ordered a Negroni which was excellently prepared. I will definitely be back and recommend everyone to visit this bar. Top 👍🏼
Sascha S — Google review
Uptown Bar offers a unique New York subway-themed experience in Buenos Aires. The entrance, resembling a subway station complete with turnstiles and a train car, sets the tone for a memorable night. The cocktails are diverse and flavorful, with the 212 VIP Rose and fernet-based drinks standing out. But EXPENSIVE AS HELL. The atmosphere is lively, enhanced by excellent music from the resident DJ. However, the venue can get quite crowded, so making a reservation is advisable. It’s a spot worth visiting for its distinctive ambiance and quality drinks.
Halime Y — Google review
I enjoyed the full experience: to go downstairs and enter a subway car which looked really similar to the original in NYC. The restaurant and bar also have a lot of reminiscence and details to make you feel like you've traveled to the Big Apple in just a matter of seconds. Such a fun spot for locals and tourists! 🚇🗽🌃 Fun, Restaurant, Bar, Tourists, Locals, Experience, BigApple #NYC #Subway

We enjoyed our date night at Uptown. We grabbed the only reservation we found just a few hours before dinner (8pm reservation). The entrance was very fun to walk through. The hostess was friendly and I appreciated her letting us know where the restroom was before we were taken to our seat. The food was delicious. I ate the teriyaki salmon and my boyfriend had ojo de bife and mac just cheese. He ate all his food, and he is picky! The wine was great too. The staff was ok, better than most in Buenos Aires. The hip hop music was also great. It got busy and louder as the night went but the vibe was great! I would recommend it to friends!
Portia T — Google review
This was such a cool concept and place to be in so happy I came while I was here in Argentina! It took me a second or two to find, there was a handsome gentleman letting people in. I descended down the stairs as there was content worthy NYC themed memorabilia lining each step. The whole process of getting into the subway and pressing the button was so cool. You got a little bit of a decompression moment and second to get the content you wanted without as much noise from the music before pressing the button to enter. It really was reminiscent of a speak easy. The vibes, drinks, type of people there. It was all laid back and the type of place that people who know people go or at least that’s how you feel. The”OOPS…. I did it again” was so delicious. And as a religious chocolate girl the passion fruit white chocolate kiss on the side was actually very pleasing. The staff was very friendly. The only thing I was not the biggest fan of was in order to grab a bite there was a minimum. You couldn’t simply get a small bite. Either way cool place and experience definitely recommend
M — Google review
Okay, so the place had a really chill atmosphere, I dig that. It was also super noisy and packed, which kind of killed the vibe a little. The music was alright, but some of the lyrics were a bit questionable, if you know what I mean. Overall, it was a mixed bag for sure. Okay, so the place had a really unique atmosphere, I dig that. The drinks were okay, and over priced for okay drinks. The food was pretty good. O enjoyed the BBQ ribs. Overall, it was a mixed bag for sure. I'm glad I had the experience while in Buenos Aires.

Uptown Bar in Buenos Aires is a must-visit destination, known for its NYC subway-themed decor and vibrant ambiance. The creative cocktails enhance the overall experience, making it a stylish hotspot. Reservations are recommended to secure a spot. I tried several cocktails from their menu, and overall, they were quite good. For food, I ordered two starters and two main courses (spaghetti and a Shack Burger). Both starters were excellent, but the spaghetti was underwhelming compared to the rest of the offerings.
Farhad K — Google review
Unfortunately the hamburger they served me was raw. The chicken of my chicken and waffles was also very bad. Tasted like it had came from a frozen bag. The waiter was great. Great atmosphere. Sad food. The breadstick that was complimentary was good though.

Verne Club is a dimly-lit lounge in the heart of Buenos Aires, paying homage to Jules Verne with its vintage decor and whimsical ambiance. The bar offers elevated craft cocktails, including innovative and original creations that put a modern twist on classics. The impressive futuristic construction of the bar and the massive Kraken rising behind the shelves add to the unique atmosphere.
Knock on the door, take a deep breathe and be ready to be transported to another dimension. The ambiance is an immersive experience into a Jules Verne book. The furniture, the wall art behind the bar, the bar top, the bathroom doors, and the patio!! Cocktails are amazing, food is excellent and the music is on par with the experience. The bar team is out of this world.

Rating: 3.2/5 [dine in] Saw great reviews for this spot, so we decided to swing by. Service was great, and they spoke English as well, which was helpful. Unfortunately, the drinks didn’t quite live up to the hype compared to other cocktail bars we tried that day. White Jasmine ($11,500 ARS): Heraclito London Dry Gin, Cardamom, Lemon Honey, Jasmine Tea (ABV 18.8%). Better than the 1869. You can pick up the flavors, but the lemon honey aftertaste was a bit too strong. 1869 ($12,500 ARS): Havana 7 Rum, Zuelo Torrontés Vinegar, Dates, Pomegranate (ABV 19.6%). Sweet, but the alcohol flavor overpowered everything else. Also, the foam topping was too heavy.
Angelica L — Google review
Great vibes, very dimly lit and ambient! The drinks were okay — I ordered a tiramisu martini off the menu, which wasn’t my favorite (and didn’t really get tipsy) but maybe their menu items are a bit more promising! There’s a lot of chairs so it’s a bit crowded in there and therefore it gets loud when there’s a lot of people, but I give bonus points for a sectioned off smoking area/courtyard area
Valerija M — Google review
Great cocktail bar in Buenos Aires! The vibe is great with dark interior and there is an amazing outside area. I had two rounds, both cocktails were really great! Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable.
Jeff F — Google review
This place is outstanding. One of the best drinks we have tried with my husband. Sebastian and Emiliano were absolutely wonderful and make such an effort in communication even in English. The staff here is really friendly polite and helpful. Food is really good and drinks are even better. 100% recommend
Cinthia G — Google review
It's easily one of the best spots to go out on a date, or to have a chill hangout with Friends. The inside seating has whiskey lounge vibes, and the outside seating has Hawaiian vibes. All the drinks we tried were a bit sweeter than we like but they were still full of flavor and came with incredible table side presentation. It's one of few places where you can get good goyza and tacos in the same place.
Ahmed A — Google review
Such a cool cocktail bar! If you want loud music and glitz...this isn't the place for you. However if you want refinement & sophistication and aching coolness...step right this way. We spent a fascinating hour at the bar, chatting to the bartender and watching him make these incredible concoctions with all manner of cocktail tools we'd never seen before - the egg white skewer, the razor sharp strip zester and the ice-filled water still that slowly dissolved a cube of sugar into a glass of absinthe...amazing! There is a green palm-filled side patio outside or deep leather sofas & chairs inside, depending on how cool you're feeling. If this place was a suit, it would be made to measure Saville Row...with a natty little handkerchief in the breast pocket - elegant with a touch of attitude - perfect!

Couldn’t stop ordering cocktails—El Príncipe Francés was my favorite. The tacos and gyozas were delicious. A bit pricey, but totally worth it for the quality. Great spot!

The decor is a delightful blend of New York chic and Tim Burton's quirky style, featuring exposed brick walls and artistic brass accents that create an inviting atmosphere. Nice ambient, good food and cocktails, friendly staff. Would go again.. highly recommended!

Cool bar/restaurant with interesting decors. The cocktail menu was extensive, and the drinks (Balmoral & Melob Bloody) we got were tasty. However, we found a piece of glass on the top of the ice cube inside Balmlral towards the end of drink. We didn’t bother to mention it since we aren’t fluent in Spanish. We were just glad that nothing happened to us. I’d still recommend this bar - but double-check your drink before sipping it.

Incredible ambiance. Outstanding appetizer. However, their drinks are subpar (go to tres monos for that). This is strictly an ambiance spot to impress a date.

Cocktail bar
Nestled in a stylish period building, Presidente Bar is a glamorous cocktail lounge that effortlessly blends old-world charm with a vibrant cosmopolitan atmosphere. This award-winning venue has made its mark on the Buenos Aires nightlife scene by offering an impressive array of classic cocktails reimagined with local ingredients and flavors inspired by Latin culture. Under the guidance of Sebastian Garcia, a dapper barman known for his flair, the young team at Presidente continually innovates while honoring traditional bar bites and seasonal offerings.
The bar features a stunningly romantic, low light ambiance with a classic chic touch. The service was spectacular, friendly, engaging and our bartender Gaston, was extremely knowledgeable about every ingredient and every drink. We had the fried langoustines and they too were phenomenal. Other bars that we went to in Buenos Aires were all smoke and mirrors, a lot of hype and no delivery. This bar however, delivered and surpassed our expectations. Simply phenomenal.

Classy cocktail bar with eclectic selection of entrees. There were some fun twists on cocktail classics, like the LatinAmericano. Most seemed to be enjoying the sushi, but we opted for ceviche & the Mollejas. The 2-person cocktail tables are really too small for proper dining, but the atmosphere made up for it.

My favorite place in BA. BA has great bars. And Presidente is definitely a great example of it. Everything about this bar is perfect. The ambience is flawless. The reception and the staff was great. Our waiter was always thoughtful and sharp. The drinks are amazing, well balanced and the menu has a great selection. You can tell the attention to details in every cocktail on the menu. The appetizers are amazing. Don’t stop trying the cheese and fruit table. Such a great combination. It’s our favorite date bar for me and my wife every time we come to Buenos Aires.

I went on a Gin Wednesday. Same thing as in January: absolute perfection. Branca Smash and Buenos Aires Zombie are as good as always. Sushi was delicious (a little sloppy on execution, though). Prices are adequate for this quality of service. Staff is wonderful. I will always recommend this place.

Bar
Tres Monos, located at the corner of Guatemala and Thames in Palermo, stands out with its punk aesthetic featuring pink neon lights and graffiti-covered walls. Inspired by a Japanese proverb about primates, this bar has recently climbed to the 27th position in the list of the world's best bars. The charismatic owners attract regulars with a wide range of classic and signature cocktails at affordable prices.
Ranked very high in the best bars list of the world. We were very happy with our drinks. The interactive bar tenders and the very nice staff all around the bar. Bar food was also very good.
R H — Google review
I have visited Tres Monos several times, intrigued by its inclusion in the Top 50 best bars list. I was always very well attended; the bartenders were attentive and happy to explain any questions. The bar counter is a bit short but allows for a fully immersive experience for those seated there. I ordered several off-menu cocktails and was always accommodated. Some classics were given a personal twist, using Argentine substitutes for Chartreuse, as well as house-made gins and liqueurs. The service was impeccable. I did notice a lack of variety in glassware, though all glasses used were of high quality. Most cocktails featured minimalistic garnishes. The lighting was warm and slightly dim, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere, although the music was a bit loud at times. Pictures: Aviation, Naked and Famous, Boulevadier and Espresso Martini

First night in Buenos Aires = cocktail tour, obviously 🍸 We only had one night so we hit up Tres Monos (Three Monkeys), one of the World’s Top 50 Bars in Palermo. Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday, but the vibe was pretty chill (which was nice). Tried three cocktails — they were fine, not mind-blowing. Atmosphere was decent, music was good, and the staff were super attentive. Overall? Just… so-so 😅
Bow T — Google review
While visiting Buenos Aires for the first time, I couldn’t miss the chance to check out one of the bars listed among the “World’s 50 Best.” Naturally, I came in with pretty high expectations — but honestly, I left a bit disappointed. The place itself felt rather ordinary, looking like a regular bar without much that made it stand out. I tried a couple of cocktails, and while the taste was good, it wasn’t particularly impressive or memorable. The atmosphere was somewhat hipsterish, and the bar wasn’t too crowded — maybe because I arrived quite late, after midnight. Overall, if you’re into cocktails, it’s worth a stop, but don’t set your expectations too high. Depending on your personal taste, it might feel special, or it might just feel like another average bar.
Nataliia T — Google review
Top 50 bar in the world , cool design 2 rooms. Serves food and amazing cocktails in 1 if the most prestigious area of Buenos Aires, Palermo. Location is great for pregame and walking to bars or clubs nearby.
Beau B — Google review
Tres Monos in Palermo is the kind of bar that makes you feel like the long-lost cousin everyone’s been waiting for. I went to 4 different bars on my first day in Buenos Aires and this one didn’t just win — the others didn’t even realize there was a competition. The attention from the staff was so warm… I started wondering if they had mistaken me for a celebrity. The menu is very colorful and packed with creative cocktails. If you’re into sweet drinks, the Bananita Mona is liquid dessert in a glass — highly recommended. They don’t serve full meals, but they do have tasty small bites like the mini sausage. They’ve got WiFi, accept credit cards, and more importantly, they make you feel right at home. 5 stars, mostly for service so warm and charming I started questioning my actual friendships.

I honestly don’t understand how Tres Monos ended up on the “World’s 50 Best Bars” list. Walking in, it felt more like a grungy student hangout than a world-class cocktail bar. The décor is all neon gimmicks and graffiti, and the bathroom reeked of urine, not exactly the standard you’d expect from an award-winning venue. To be fair, my drink was decent, but at 26,000 pesos each the price is absurd for a simple Paloma with Don Julio Blanco when the whole bottle sells for 70,000 ARS. In the end, Tres Monos is coasting on its plaque and reputation, not on quality or professionalism. If you want real craft cocktails and genuine service, you’ll find far better bars in Buenos Aires. This one is all hype and nothing more.
Steve M — Google review
The cocktails were delicious, the bar design is interesting, and they always bring water without asking that’s a nice touch. However, we were very disappointed by a few things that felt unacceptable for a bar that’s ranked among the best in the world. My friend knew they had daily or promotional cocktails for around 6000 pesos, but we weren’t informed or offered them until we specifically asked. That’s not a big deal. it happens. But on our next visit, we came back with friends and ordered the same cocktails, which suddenly cost 9000 pesos each. On top of that, they added a cocktail to our bill that we never ordered. Was it just carelessness, or were they trying to trick us? Either way, this kind of experience should not happen in a place with such a high reputation. We left feeling disappointed.

Step into the quirky and elegant world of Bar 878, a bustling hangout in the heart of Buenos Aires. This offbeat gem offers exquisite cocktails and a peculiar decor that will leave you both amused and slightly perplexed. With its intimate ambiance and vintage photographs adorning the walls, it's a place where you can enjoy easygoing snacks, burgers, and happy hour specials while socializing with other customers and bartenders.
We happened to be there on a night where they had a ‘Jean’ theme, so we had unique cocktails. They also serve classic ones, and give a complimentary small drink on arrival. The venue has a darkly lit vibe which is good for evening drinks, but I probably wouldn’t go there before 9pm. It can also be easily missed from the outside. The chard falafel are delicious - highly recommended

What a wonderful bar. Amazing creative cocktails that goes through the different neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. Their distillation collaboration across the nation is incredible. Really inspiring story to the bar. Highly recommend for good drinks and conversations.

Incredible experience. The best bar in South America! Head bartender, Juan Cruz (the top guy and Barman in all market) has an incredible story telling of all cocktails. Will rate a 10 on the drinks and service. The barman team is high-end as Manu (as funny as sharp in every detail!) Santi (incredible services & high quality taste) and Guillermina (the best bar woman in Argentina and precise in every aspect. The best cocktail team and incredible food that helps a top quality experience. Great for friends and family. Gem mint!

This bar was a wonderful find. We met some friends here at their suggestion, and we were very pleased. Inside, you'll find a beautiful interior where there's an amazing collection of craft cocktails, beer, and wine. We enjoyed some of their food selections, and everything we ordered was wonderful. Don't miss this one!

Gran Bar Danzon is a renowned wine bar in Buenos Aires, known for its extensive selection of both popular and unique wines from various regions. The establishment boasts a sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance, attracting a diverse crowd including professionals, jetsetters, couples, and tourists. With plush sofas and intimate lighting, the bar offers a comfortable setting to enjoy their wide range of cocktails and spirits alongside an impressive selection of wines.
We LOVE this place! This used to be “my office” when I lived in Buenos Aires (I’ve been coming here since the 1st week they opened). Now that I don’t live here anymore, I keep coming back every time I visit BA. The place is amazingly beautiful and the staff is always welcoming (I would love to be able to buy the “danzón scent”!). Food is great, sushi is fresh, cocktails are AMAZING and the wine list is always impressive and impeccable. They have a very large list of wines by the glass and hard to find bottles. I always feel at home here. I highly recommend it.

Well - what can you say. If the receptionist is still the friendliest member of staff in the entire chain of experiences, then you should really think about your public image. The drinks were excellent! The bartenders don't bat an eyelid and only say the bare minimum. The ambience is actually cool, but what doesn't work at all is the transmission of cartoons via projector. Otherwise, the playlist would be cool if the volume didn't suffocate every conversation.

Great bar with cocktails and food. Glamorous place. A bit too dark for me but the atmosphere and attention it's great. The martini was abit too strong on my opinion.

Good place for cocktails they don't skimp on the alcohol for the drinks... I had four of their cocktails. The blonde with the short hair can speak a bit of English whixh was nice.. And they are quick with the service as well.

Absolutely excellent. Flavors in the original cocktails are well balanced and creative. Welcoming staff and music captures just the right mood and tempo. Decor is an offbeat industrial but the candles placed strategically around the entrance and elsewhere provide dungeon-like seance vibes despite being on the second floor. I admire the willingness to work with unorthodox fruits and bitters while keeping the menu very accessible to all flavor palettes. Will return.

Go here! This meal was amazing! We got the ichiban classico, ceviche, and cavatelli. The ceviche is a MUST! Best ceviche ever. We ended with the warm dulce de leche soufle. The staff spoke great English and made nice drink pairings suggestions. We had a few cocktails and ended with sparkling wine. Fantastic experience.

Pain et Vin is a charming French-inspired establishment in Buenos Aires, known for its freshly baked bread, high-quality wine, and expertly paired cheeses. Since opening in 2013, it has become a popular spot for wine tastings and exploring Argentina's diverse wine regions with knowledgeable sommeliers. The bar offers tutored degustaciones to delve into the country's wine history and grape varieties.
This wine shop is truly a hidden gem 🍷 We were very confused thinking you needed a reservation, and almost didn't visit because of this. The website says there are tastings at 4:30pm and 6pm, but I promise you - just show up during there open hours and they'll accommodate you. They are so nice!! We tried our best to say hello and communicate in Spanish before asking if they spoke English, and to our relief they did! They are very passionate about the wine industry in Argentina and we learned so much while tasting several wines. The tasting itself is 4 wines with local cheeses, bread and olive oil to accompany it. However, I'm fairly certain we tasted closer to 6 or 7!
Nikki C — Google review
Was looking for a non touristy wine bar that could help me learn about Argentina wines and this place was amazing. The owner explained each one and the history behind the maker. I was looking for full bodied super dry and each one of these was exactly that. It wasn’t the standard wine tasting nor flight. They curated the selection based on the experience I was looking for. Did 6 wines and some small plates, all amazing.
Zeeshan S — Google review
What an unexpected delight! The mood is very chill, the decor is simple and charming. The person who served us was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. She walked us through the highlights of the wines-by-the-glass they had on offer in a very approachable way and easy to understand for someone like me who doesn’t drink a lot of wine. No one one in the staff was pushy or hovering, but at the same time were right there when we had questions, wanted more wine, etc. highly recommend.

Amazing experience. I was there early, and Eleonora and Abril were the most gracious of hosts. As a newly obsessed wine lover, Eleonora was super obliging in explaining all the wines I tried and generously let me sample some of the cool wines she thought I'd like. The food was incredible too; the paté was amazing. Will definitely go back whenever I'm back in town.

Why do you always find the best places on the last night before you have to leave a city? We spent one month in Buenos Aires and this is by far best place to try many wines from around Argentina by glass. Wines change every single day. The service is absolutely wonderful. Abril is a true gem of a human.

Honestly, the best wine experience in Buenos Aires. Not just the selection, but the expertise, the care, the service and the vibe. 20 out of ten. Any person that’s reviewed it as less is completely insane!!! Eleonora and staff are legendary. No two tastings are alike and I can’t wait to return:) Thank you!

Really great spot for wine and small plates! They always have different wine bottles open for you to try a different glass of wine, and will also recommend different ones based on what you’re eating. The cauliflower is a must try! Duck confit was lovely and the sweetbreads were good but a little salty. Super cute spot that I will return to! Free wifi and indoor and outdoor seating available!

Doppelganger Bar, also known as Doppel, is a unique space in San Telmo that combines the charm of a working-class pub with an air of Bohemian elegance. The bar boasts an extensive cocktail menu featuring dozens of tempting options and is renowned for its rejuvenation of classic cocktails.
This place was great. Someone recommended it to me as having the best negroni in the world. It was very good (you have to ask for it, it's not on the menu). Also, the marquise dessert was amazing. Noe was an amazing waiter, too. Very impressed. Pricey, about $12 per drink, but very good.

Honestly, overpriced cocktails and nothing more. When we placed an order we expected interesting mix or unique taste but cocktails weren’t anything special as they presented.
Inna K — Google review
Best cocktails in town! We had a few but the list is endless and there are more on demand. The waiter (who also happened to be one of the barmen) was both helpful and candid and he even encourages you, knowing that the cocktails are so many and diverse, to describe to him what you want so he can suggest one. Food is really good as well and the atmosphere is just perfect for a date or hang out with friends. Will come back for more :)

Housed in a beautiful 20th-century townhouse, it offers an elegant dining room as well as a charming garden for guests to enjoy tapas and Argentinian cuisine. The specialty dish, beef with risotto, is highly recommended by Chef Dario Toledo. The venue's chic ambiance attracts a sophisticated clientele who appreciate the classic Parisian charm without feeling excluded.

Went for Father’s Day dinner. Food was a good assortment with delicious wine. A major plus, 2 black cats made appearances throughout the night stopping by each table as if they were checking on the quality of the service 🤣. Loved it!!

What I loved 😍 about this place was the ambiance. I would not say that the food is Michelin quality for those who saw that I am giving it five 🌟 but the whole experience made it five stars. They have a very extensive wine "carte", but their food menu is not quite that extensideaf but there's a little bit of everything for everybody. Are waitress was absolutely fabulous. And sometimes we were helped by other people that work there that were absolutely very nice , very sweet , a great experience overall. If you go to see the cats, we only saw one of them for a very brief, moment. They have a free run of a very big area so it is possible. You can spend the whole time there without seeing the 🐈 but then again, it is not a cat restaurant, It's just that they happen to live there 😉. Again.I also encourage people to read up before asking for a steak temp, as we had to return the first offering because someone asked for rare... but in Argentina there are 5 different ways and his rare translate to Azul/blue. Rare/ jugoso was too cooked. So research is key. But we loved the experience. Also the name sounds really fancy. But when you get there, some people are really dressed up and some people are wearing just jeans and a T-shirt.So it is whatever you want to make it , you don't have to go , I'll dressed up. Its also veru bohemian romantic, but if you want to be outside and the more romantic area you have to get there early before 10 pm 😉!

Beautiful place but the food was less than average and the service was terrible.. took almost 45 min to bring the food.. the " Bife de chorizo" was dry and hamburgers were also dry and hard.. Bad meat in Buenos Aires ?.. I will go only for a coffee and the patio as is an old beautiful house
Maria Q — Google review
Only based on our service and drinks! Beautiful spot to grab food and drinks but the service was all over the place! No bartender to make drinks and then the ones they could make took 30 min. Ehhh I didn't get the hype.

We had a nice dinner here. It´s an informal atmosphere. The fish was really good and the prices are reasonable.
Peter A — Google review
A great building managed so poorly and so sadly that it makes you cry. The location is superb, the environment incredible, the service is such a downer it makes the whole thing grey. I’ll make a suggestion to the management: please refrain to pick waitstaff for their look and actually test their attending skills and experience, you have a gem in your hands, do you really want to flush it down the toilet like this?? Please review your crew and train people a bit better. Two last observations: if you are thinking about using it as a possible photoshoot setting, the prices for it are absolutely insane. The second star is thanks to the food, altogether not so bad.

Casa Cavia is a magnificent mansion in Palermo, Buenos Aires, that has been transformed into a multifaceted space. It houses a modern restaurant and bar with a charming garden, as well as a flower shop and publishing house. The cuisine is curated by Julieta Caruso, an experienced chef from the renowned Mugaritz restaurant in the Basque Country. The menu offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner options.
What a great evening for a peaceful and delicious dinner in Buenos Aires. Coming from San Francisco I wanted to eat as much Argentinian food as I could. The chef here is very creative and I ate some food that I never ate before. For example, the fish was grilled protection and then had a Sauce with the crunch coming from shaved cauliflower. It’s worth a nice visit and a relaxing evening. You can dress up or dress down. There’s even a little scene going on. This is one of the places to go.
David S — Google review
Lovely restaurant with a beautiful courtyard. Food-wise however, there are better restaurants in Palermo with less than half of their price. Also each portion is very small here as expected in fine dining restaurants. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, but it was a touch overcooked, therefore a little dry. Sourdough bread was nice and moist inside, but a bit too chewy outside. Traditional Argentinian dessert was beautiful. Service was fine, inattentive at times when the restaurant got busy. Overall, nice dining experience for the atmosphere but I was expecting better quality food from a Michelin restaurant.
AS — Google review
Casa Cavia isn’t just a restaurant - it’s an experience. Nestled inside a beautifully restored 1920s mansion in Palermo Chico, this absolute gem blends gastronomy, design, literature, and art under one stunning roof. From the moment I arrived, I felt like “This would be good …” and so it was.
Mat T — Google review
Absolutely stunning place, a renovated mansion turned restaurant. My friend and I ordered the tea for two, which came with an incredible amount of food for the price, and while everything was delicious, the highlight were the scone. I would return just for those. The staff was friendly and the heat lamps in the patio kept it from getting too cold.
Camila D — Google review
✨ A Hidden Gem in Palermo Chico ✨ Nestled inside a stunning mansion in Palermo Chico, Casa Cavia feels like stepping into a dream where architecture, food, and culture blend seamlessly. It’s the kind of place that draws you in for lunch or coffee – and then makes you want to rearrange your day just to stay a little longer. The staff? Warm, welcoming, and ready to guide you through a menu that’s equal parts elegant and delicious. Each dish is a celebration of fresh, local ingredients – simple yet sophisticated. And while the food is incredible, the real magic happens in the back garden, where the ambiance steals the show. Think of it as more than a restaurant – it’s an experience. Casa Cavia carries that Michelin-worthy charm without feeling too formal. Honestly, I came for lunch before heading to Malba, but next time? I might visit Malba just because I’m already at Casa Cavia. 😏

When I arrived for my brunch reservation I was seated and waited for almost 30 minutes for someone to come over to ask if I would like something to drink. I finally got up and asked the lady at the coffee counter for help. I ordered the pasta with fava beans and peas and was quite disappointed. The pasta was overcooked and wet, the dish did not have any distinguishable flavor. The decor is beautiful and the outdoor area is a serene and beautiful place however the food and service are not what I had hoped and expected. I had very high expectations for a restaurant that gets high acclaim. I hope this was a one off experience. Perhaps brunch is not the time to go here.
Dana G — Google review
Great service, delicious food, and truly wonderful atmosphere! This is a delightful, peaceful spot to stop for merienda. The rest of the menu looked very creative and enticing, as well, so I'll have to go back for a full meal. The prices are relatively high but seemed commensurate with the great quality food and experience as a whole. The staff was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommended! EDIT: I went back for a light lunch, and I was absolutely blown away by what I ordered! The liláceas, vieiras tostadas y ajo blanco (a starter that I ordered for my main meal), was an explosion of freshness and deep flavor! I don't remember the last time I had a dish that truly made my mouth water just thinking about it. The individual ingredients were of excellent quality and were exquisitely prepared. I had the panna cotta de jengibre con cítricos y cedrón for dessert, which was wonderfully light and not too sweet with perfectly balanced flavors. The staff was, again, absolutely wonderful. What a great experience!

Nicky Harrison is a speakeasy located behind Nicky NY Sushi, offering an immersive experience that takes guests back to the Prohibition era with an Argentine twist. The bar's clandestine origin story and 1920s-inspired ambiance create an air of secrecy and sophistication. It boasts a menu of classic cocktails with innovative twists, such as the Monkey Powder and The Butcher, crafted by skilled mixologists using premium spirits and house-made ingredients.
We didn’t eat here. We just went for the speakeasy. This was my favorite bar in all of Argentina. The only proper cocktail I had during my 12 day visit. The atmosphere was awesome. The bartenders were a lot of fun and very friendly. They had a DJ playing music and my 2 friends started dancing bachata. The entire room was cheering and clapping. It was a movie. I miss this place already!
TJ P — Google review
Atmosphere alone is worth it. Definitely deserving of the speakeasy title. Entrance and story behind the concept is cool. The menu itself was my favorite.
Mamadou D — Google review
Nicky Harrison was the best bar I visited in Buenos Aires, even though it’s not listed among the Top 50. The atmosphere was impeccable, with warm lighting at the perfect level, comfortable seating, and tasteful music at a volume that allowed conversation without shouting. The bar counter was small but well-lit, giving the space a stage-like character. The bartenders were dressed appropriately and delivered flawless work. The signature cocktail menu was excellent, and any off-menu classic was promptly prepared. High-quality glassware and a wide variety of glasses added personality to each drink. Unfortunately, I only had time for two cocktails, but I definitely plan to return and explore the menu further.
Luis B — Google review
No review needed - Just don’t go. My sister and I were recommended to their speakeasy by the owner of another restaurant. The man and woman at the door refused to look at us or even address us. Clearly their phones are more important than paying customers. There are so many better places to go in the area where the employees will treat you with respect. Go elsewhere.
K M — Google review
Amazing experience, everything was perfect and Martin especially was the best waiter, knowing everything about the menu and giving us the best way. There’s a hidden experience if you want to explore a little bit more about the ambiance and the history about the place. There’s a gold mention to the chef, the menu was an absolute masterpiece and the “passion” was such a must.
Tuanny G — Google review
Great concept and authentic to the prohibition theme. The ambience and seeing is impressive. The service was slow, despite not being busy. Also upon closer inspection the spirit selection is below par for such an establishment. Signature cocktails using Jack Daniels and Gordon's Gin is not befitting. We went for drinks that had their own infused versions which were good. Improve your back bar selection and this would be a real winner
Russell K — Google review
It’s a nicely decorated restaurant, liked the vibe. Reservation is highly recommended. We didn’t have reservation but they managed to find two seats. We had dinner on Friday around 9pm. It was busy. Salmon roll, White & Blue sushi, Seko reloaded (srloin Steak. Food is delicious. Service is very good, helpful server, English menu available. Accepted credit card.

Tried to organize an event here, they took a long time to reply, tried to charge $120 per person even if they stay for 15 minutes in a multi- hour event. We offered to pay for items (with $120 USD min per person) but they refused (after phone calls and emails and messages) to share their menu pricing because then they can’t scam you. Unflexible staff with overrated cheap drinks which they use to scam groups to overpaying. Won’t organize the event and will avoid coming here as a customer

Cochinchina, located in the vibrant Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, is a renowned bar and restaurant founded by Ines de los Santos, an influential figure in Argentina's cocktail scene. The establishment has garnered accolades and recognition for its exceptional mixology and placement on prestigious lists such as @50bestbars and @50bestbarsdiscovery. The venue offers a diverse range of spaces including an expansive bar area, intimate dining boxes, private rooms, and a newly opened terrace section.

Cristal was great, everything else not so much. My sister and I visited because this bar was on the world’s top cocktail bar list. We went around 9pm- I loved the atmosphere but you could tell it gets clubby (and influencer galore) later at night. I first had the Blend de las Buenos and my sister had the En casa de. The En casa de was fantastic, but the Blend de las Buenos wasn’t as mezcal forward as I expected. We also tried the Alforsina, which was chocolate forward but it was decent enough. The worst part of our experience was a male bartender (bleach blonde hair tips) that was so pushy. We were unsure if we wanted to eat so we reviewed the menu. He came over 4-5 times while we were reviewing the menu to check in on us. When we decided we didn’t want anything to eat, he asked us if we don’t like the menu - rather than accepting we just didn’t want to eat. I’d say pass, Tres Monos (ranked #10) was better and much less pretentious.
K M — Google review
The restaurant offers a stylish setting in Buenos Aires, and the service truly stands out; the staff are attentive and friendly, making you feel well cared for. However, the experience as a whole is somewhat average. The drinks, while perfectly fine, didn't particularly impress or offer anything truly memorable. Given the relatively high prices, one might expect a bit more "wow" factor from the cocktails. It's a decent spot if you prioritize excellent service in a chic atmosphere, but be prepared for the bill. The food was also good, as well, was not impressed in relation with prices.
Arem A — Google review
The bar area is splendid and one of the experiences everyone visiting Buenos Aires really ought to have: the opulent design paired with high-quality electronic music and masterful lighting makes a lasting impression. While the drinks are on the pricey side, they're well-crafted and full of flavour, though not quite as inventive as I'd expected. I didn’t get a chance to try the food, as we were only in for post-dinner drinks, but I’d certainly return to give it a go. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Thiago P — Google review
Atmosphere 4/5: warm and welcoming lighting. Water was served right at the beginning without having to ask, which was a nice touch. The bar is centrally located with a huge counter, encouraging immersion and interaction with the space, rather than isolating groups at tables — a major positive. The music was pleasant, though slightly loud. Drinks were of average quality (Jim Beam, Johnnie Walker, no truly premium bourbons). To start, I ordered a classic Boulevardier; the bar added a personal touch by replacing Campari with Limoncello. The result was just okay, 3/5. Presentation also 3/5: simple, thick glasses, basic garnishes, and machine ice instead of large, crystal-clear cubes. Next, I tried a house signature cocktail with sake, cilantro, and coconut milk. The combination was quite interesting and lightly alcoholic. It surprised with its flavor; presentation was 4/5 — a good glass really makes a difference. Too much hype.

This was a decent top 50 best bar in my opinion. Service could have been friendlier. They forgot my drink order and I had to remind them. The drink itself (their version of the Aperol) wasn’t as unique as I’d expect a top 50 best bar to be. The ceviche was a miss. But the mushroom bao sliders was nice (they just needed a sauce). Maybe go to check it off your list but I wouldn’t go again tbh

Anchoita Cava is a cozy wine bar located near its sibling restaurant, Anchoita. Despite its small size, it boasts an impressive collection of 205 Argentine and world wines, with 52 available by the glass. Additionally, the bar houses 110 in-house aged cheeses. Guests can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere at street-side tables or inside at the bar area. The establishment is renowned for its extensive wine selection and offerings of cheeses and meats.
Anchoita Cava is, without a doubt, a must-visit destination for any wine enthusiast or foodie! From the moment we stepped inside, we felt right back at home. The warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with the exceptional service, made our experience truly unforgettable. The staff at Anchoita Cava are beyond knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. Their passion for wine is palpable, and their expertise is unmatched. The extensive wine list is curated to perfection, offering something to satisfy every possible taste. We can't recommend Anchoita Cava enough! Whether you're a local or just visiting, this gem is an absolute must-visit. We can't wait to return and indulge in more of their incredible wines and delicious tapas! Highly recommended!

Everything was exceptional and we had the best time! Highly recommend the prawn ceviche. Lupa was fantastic with her wine knowledge and service.

Lovely experience at Anchoita Cava. They have a REALLY extensive wine list, that it’s impressive even. And the combination of locally sourced cheese and charcuterie, and local wines reinforces the saying - what grows together goes together. The staffs were attentive, and were very approachable when we sought for their recommendations, so we were in good hands throughout. I’m not sure if it’s a deliberate decision to do so, but my only feedback will be for the breads to be served warm and not cold.

Very nice wine bar with a massive menu of wine and cheese plus extra snacks. Recommended to us by a sommelier relative. Really delicious wine and cheese and professional upscale service. Plus the bathroom is the nicest in the entirety of Buenos Aires, heated seat and all! Only suggestion would be a book menu instead of extra-long single pieces of paper and also a larger font because it was darker lighting and hard to read (and we’re still very young).

Waiter was nice and spoke good English - made good recommendations. Can bring wine to the restaurant Anchoíta after. Garlic bread was not as garlicky as we would’ve liked, but we appreciated the cheese sample platter they made us

Love this place. Not many tables so sometimes you wait but you can stand and enjoy a glass of wine. The biggest cheese list I can remember seeing. Great concept and atmosphere, and the staff were helpful in guiding us through our order.

Lounge

Bar
Pony Line is a stylish hotel lounge located on the lobby level of La Recoleta's Four Seasons Hotel in Argentina. The equestrian-themed lounge draws inspiration from the country's polo culture, featuring rustic wood planks and herringbone wood floors that create the ambiance of a country stable. The menu offers an all-day selection of snacks, including truffle fries and homemade chorizo oxtail empanadas.
Cleanliness: 5 Service: 5 Food: 4 (not 5 because my palate is limited in Argentine cuisine) Atmosphere: 5 Liquor Selection: 5 I would give the Pony Line a general description as a unique bar with a great selection of cocktails and a unique twists put on traditional foods. We were greeted immediately and sat at the bar. Dimmed atmosphere but not dark. House made chips and house barbecue sauce were given to us. Anto (Antonella) was an extremely helpful and professional tender. She offered plenty of suggestions and took care to ask the right questions making sure we ordered to our liking. The detail to drink preparation was outstanding. You could tell she took much pride in her presentation and professionalism. We felt very welcomed and appreciated. And, she had a great personality! She was very easy to talk with and remained genuinely engaged. This is a great venue for a couple to have a few cocktails and some quality food. It also seemed to be appropriate for a small group business meeting or even a few friends to gather for fun and a laid back atmosphere. The music choice we experienced included many well-known American songs. Everything from classic rock to pop. We found ourselves singing to most of the songs. If/when we return, we will definitely return for the great service, great food and laughter. If you are looking for an upper-scale casual atmosphere, you should check this place out.

Amazing drinks and super friendly staff. The DJ was incredible and really set the vibe for the night. The bar itself isn’t new, but it has a lot of charm and character. Cocktails are excellent, service is attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish. Prices are very reasonable considering it’s inside the Four Seasons Hotel. A great spot in Buenos Aires for a proper drink.

We have just returned from a week at the Four Seasons and I wanted to put on record my thanks to the entire team at Pony Line. We spent a number of evenings in the bar and from the first moment we arrived we felt like we were treated as friends. I was very impressed by the ability of the waiting staff to remember our names (and orders) throughout the week. We were greeted each evening by Misy and she was such a welcoming person. We talked about things that we had did that day, whilst Misi recommended some uniquely Argentine food and drink. We were primarily served by Guido through out the week, with Alan looking after us on the last evening. Both guys were exemplar, giving us advice on the menu options and making conversation with us. These exchanges felt totally genuine. We had a fabulous time throughout our week at the hotel. All the staff were brilliant, including the bar staff. Thank you to Misy Alan and Guido for making our time there so special. And yes, the famous burgers are THAT good!

One of best burger I've ever had, the 45 Days dry aged burger. Great service and help from Leo. Highly recommend
Mehdi M — Google review
The greatest compliment I can give this place is it's the equivalent of 40 USD for a burger, and I absolutely couldn't care less. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, remarkable service. My waitress, Alexandria, was incredibly kind and helpful but really the whole staff is just that way. If you're a local, you probably already know about this spot but if not check it out! If you're a tourist, it's going to be one of the highlights of your trip
Lianette G — Google review
Pony Line is located inside the Four Seasons Buenos Aires. It serves at the hotel's main lounge, thus is open only at night. ATMOSPHERE: Located just off the lobby, it's a small space with lounges, high tops and bar seating. It' s not a dance club by any means. The crowd was younger-local and the vibe felt like an upscale social event, making for easy conversation with not too loud DJ music. Decor is warm and contemporary. MENU: Bar-style apps, charcuterie, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pizzas, desserts. While we didn't eat, my spouse and I were looking for a night cap. Because we were guests of the hotel, we didn't have to pay a cover charge. Being that it was a Saturday night, the place was filled but not overly crowded, meaning no seats were available but no one was standing around either. We were told we'd get a spot ASAP but instead of waiting, we decided to walk across the street to the row of restaurants that are under the freeway overpass. Personally, I like to explore the city and not just stay in the hotel anyway. As expected while walking by the place on a Sunday night, it was completely empty! Oh well. OVERALL: Maybe next time we'll get to experience the food and drinks. So, it's a 3-star for now.
Maui T — Google review
Paula gave us the utmost excellence in her service. She was attending, charming and polite. Our order was taken to perfection. The food was fantastic (the burger is to die for) Make sure you bring cash to leave tips, you can't leave them by card - and the service is most deserving of a good tip Great experience all around, kudos to Paula!

The Four Queens hotel is a really nice hotel but their prices are very high. After this trip I will have visited 21 countries and I stay exclusively at luxury hotels. I could name drop but there's no point in doing so, but I do have a track record for comparisons. Great hotel but very expensive to eat at and for spa services.

Trade Sky Bar is a renowned rooftop bar and lounge located on the 19th, 20th, and 21st floors of the iconic Comega building in the heart of Buenos Aires. It has been recognized as one of the best rooftops globally by Time Out magazine. The bar offers a stunning view of various city landmarks such as the CCK building, Puerto Madero's skyscrapers, and the Rio de la Plata.
Amazing view, profesional barmans and breathtaking atmosphere even in a bit cold weather. Drinks were amazing

The place is nice and stylish. I like the Art - Deco lower level and beautifull views on the top. But the service is missing a lot. They are grumpy, doesn't speak english (which I expected for a price I payed) and I had to wait for the waiter 20 mintes because she keep ignoring me even though the place was almost empty.

Incredible spot, some of the best views in the city. You won’t be disappointed coming here! The cocktails were great, we did not try the food but it looked good as well. If you just want to have a drink you can show up when it opens and stand at the bar. To get a table, you need a reservation.
Sarah — Google review
Great views! Try to make reservation, or else it’s hard to get a table or even enter. We arrived 10min before they opened (6pm) without reservation. They told us we could stand in line outside and we would enter, but we were told we couldn’t seat in any area as all seated areas were for reservations. They started letting reservations enter first, and around 15min later they started allowing access to everyone else on the “no reservations” line. Once we entered we saw many available seats, but they told us we couldn’t seat until 6:45pm (which must have been their limit for any other person who had reservations). So we had to stand and order our drinks directly at the bar…. & Finally after 6:45pm everybody without table was able to look for a free table or seating area, and simply seat and stay there! (The process was a bit of a hassle with all the specific waiting times and so on… but well, I assume if you have a reservation it must be hassle free). All in all, we had a good time! We were able to find a great table, with an awesome view, and had a wonderful time! Drinks were good! And once we were seated we could order drinks to a waiter, and service was good. Drinks were also quite affordable. (You expect a Skybar like this to be overpriced, but it was a nice surprise to see average normal drinks prices here)
Daniela C — Google review
The service time was 6-8pm At 7 I still didn't have the calamari ordered at 6:15. When it was finally brought out, I asked the waitress how are we going to fix this as I have been sitting here over 45 min waiting for calamari while another table was served in a timely manner. She offered to bring me a glass of champagne. I did not believe that was a comparable fix. I no longer wanted the calamari and asked her to take it away. We left soon after. The views and sunset were spectacular. The cocktails were carefully crafted and good
Desniege J — Google review
To keep it simple, this place is amazing. The food was amazing. The chicken and steak were more than scrumptious. The drinks were amazing. Views were amazing. Only drawback (if you could call it that) was the service. The servers weren’t as attentive as we expected them to be, but when they did visit our table, they were very nice. I personally would suggest getting dinner on the 19th or 20th floor then visiting the rooftop for a drink after (which is what we did). Overall this place is definitely worth the price you pay.
Joshua P — Google review
I heard for years how Argentina has the best meat in the world. This place definitely lives up to that reputation. It is so good that a local that knows all of the best spots recommend it. Thing to know, is to make a reservation. You will also want to have pants. We were in shorts and had to change. It makes sense, it is a nicer place. The view was amazing. It is on top of the building. You can see all around the city. We had walked ten miles that day, and it was fun pointing out the places that we had gone to. You can also spot future places to explore. Most importantly, the food was amazing. We got an amazing steak. I had waited so long to try out the steak. I also had the sushi. It came with quite a few pieces. I really enjoyed the flavor. The service was top notch too. Our waiter was way nice and attentive. He checked to see how we were. When we asked for things like bread and olive oil, he was quick to get it. I would highly recommend this place. I would even say it is a must when you visit Buenas Aires.

Trade Sky Bar is a gem perched high above Buenos Aires, where the city’s pulse meets a dazzling skyline and trust me, the view alone is worth the trek. I braced myself for wallet-draining prices (you know, the kind where a cocktail runs you $17 at those swanky spots), but I was pleasantly shocked $10 for an expertly crafted drink? That’s a steal for a place this chic! The catch? If you’re not dining, they nudge you to stand, which isn’t my favorite quirk there’s a restaurant when the elevator gets you to the top…you’ll climb three steep sets of stairs to reach the skybar, but once you’re up there, panting and all, the panorama of twinkling lights and iconic landmarks makes it a no-regrets haul. A DJ spins beats into the night, setting the scene for a bougie crowd that’s all high vibes and sharp styleI even spotted a famous American YouTuber mingling among the pack. The door crew can be a tad lofty if you roll up sans reservation, but dress smart think sleek casual, no beach vibes and they’ll usher you in with a nod. The hosts are warm once you’re past the velvet rope; it’s just policy flexing its muscle. Affordable drinks, a luxe atmosphere, and a view that’ll haunt your dreams….Trade’s a sky-high win, stairs and all.

Hache Almacén is a charming and cozy spot located in Palermo, Argentina. This quaint deli and wine bar offers a unique experience with its combination of a wine cellar, family-style table, and occasional live music performances. The space may be small, but it is utilized to the fullest extent with sidewalk seating during the summer and a hidden stage for live music.
We spent New Years Eve at Hache and the owner and staff made a very intimate atmosphere with great food and wine. We ended up making friends with other guests. The food was delicious. From the cheeses and charcuterie at the beginning to the pork and desserts to celebrate the new year. Recommendations of wine were spectacular! Not a pretentious wine bar but a down to earth atmosphere.

I recently moved to this neighbourhood and already know that I’ll be spending a lot of time here. Our server Nicolas was knowledgeable and happily helped us select our wine. The wine list here is enormous, so it’s always nice to have someone interested enough to help guide you. I’ve been here twice and once the ambiance was slow jazz and the other, a cooler vibe. Both perfect for what I was feeling. We split the picada for two and were not disappointed. Thanks team! Nos vemos.

Strange Brewing is a lively microbrewery and pub in Buenos Aires, offering a wide selection of craft beers including IPA, pale ale, amber, and dunkel. Located in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Colegiales, it stands out as a serious player in the city's craft beer scene. The casual environment with great music and easy eats makes it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.
awesome food and beer! love this place! the barrel aged beers are phenomenal but so are the NEIPAs.

Love Strange brewery 🍻 but nachos aren’t what they use to be - new ones have dry and flavourless pulled beef. Buyer beware. I've searched across the city for a good sour beer, and I finally found it at Strange! Such cool vibes here and it was even packed at 8pm on a Monday. Now I'm from the Pacific northwest, where craft beer reigns supreme, and while the Cassius Clay here was good, it's definitely not as tart as I'm use to. Doesn't really matter, it's still the best beer so far in BA though!
Annie K — Google review
I travelled through Argentina a few weeks ago. On my last day my brother took me to Strage Brewing so I could have a taste of the local craft beer; and I kind of regret letting him take me there because their beer has now ruined every other craft beer for me. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is the most delicious beer I've ever had. It does not matter what you order from their offerings, they are all delicious. And on top of that the staff will give you the warmest welcome imaginable, they'll offer you to have a taste of their product before you order if you're not sure yet. One of the guys behind the bar saw I was intrigued by the beer barrels at the back and he offered to give me a tour of how their beer is made. I got to learn about the process and was even given beer fresh from the barrel. At the end of the night, I bought some beers to bring back to Colombia and the guys there helped me choose which ones would survive the trip without having their flavor altered, and then gifted me a bunch of goodies for me to take home. If you are a fan of beer and visiting Buenos Aires, you simply can't miss this place.
Santiago V — Google review
Absolutely loved this place. I came with my parents, who both enjoy craft beer, and we came back one more time during our visit. The beers are fantastic, but the biggest surprise is the food – everything we had was not only delicious, but very inventive from a culinary sense. The vibe is usually very fun and lively. I’ll come back again before leaving the city. Oh, and fun branding as well. 🤘🏼

This is one of my favorite Palermo Soho cocktail joints and should not be missed. The area is a sea of options, so have fun finding your fit. Rey de Copas offers Classic and interesting local cocktail twists served by professionals, backed by chill tunes that compliment a most impressive setting. Hosted by a historic registered building and filled to the brim with Boho Chique charm wrapped in Morrocan warmth, and antique eastern accessory, it is a space that demands a smile. Hit the roof top with some friends for a few before heading over to a Beebop reservation for some compound excellence of live music. there are better cocktails in town, but total value is on point here. I can't speak to the cuisine. My BA experience always includes a stop here

Salón 1923 is a rooftop bar located at El Palacio Barolo in Buenos Aires, offering stunning views of Avenida de Mayo and the entire city center. The experience begins with entering the impressive building, representing Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy in architectural form. After ascending 14 floors in century-old elevators and continuing for two more floors via spiral staircases, visitors reach the truly impressive terrace on the 16th floor.
I loved this spot very much! Yes, it is a bit pricey and you do need to book your place in advance, but the ordered food is already included in the booking price. Honestly, the view makes it all absolutely worth it. The staff were wonderful — friendly, kind, welcoming, and genuinely warm, which added so much to the experience. The best time to come is during sunset, when the view of Buenos Aires is simply stunning and unforgettable.🤩 Getting to the top was a little challenging and a bit confusing at first 😅, but once you make it there, it’s more than rewarding. The combination of the calm, quiet atmosphere and the breathtaking city landscape makes this a place I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something special in Buenos Aires. Also perfect for a date, the place has this romantic vibe. ❤️💕

Great place to watch the sunset! The views are amazing! The entrance is a little bit pricey 20usd per person but it includes 2 “Tapas” which are big enough and a cocktail drink The food is really tasty and creative and we ordered 1 cocktail more for 6usd each. The stay is only 2 hours but they were enough. The staff is very courteous. We went on a weekday and there was enough place left but you can also make a reservation online.
M M — Google review
The bar decor ambiance and the views of BA especially at sunset are breathtaking. There is limited space on the terraces so it's a good idea to reserve. They make you pay 25000 peso per person upfront which becomes credit for food and drinks. The tapas style food and most of our cocktails were delicious. Unfortunately the customer service and attitude from the waitress was disappointing. We ordered martinis, they arrived in salted margarita glasses. So we had to request for a change as it was not palatable. The waitress kept arguing back about the drink when she wasn't the one who made or tasted it. This is not the level of customer service you expect from a bar like this where you pay a premium.
Lalindra D — Google review
A great little cafe on the 16th floor of the Palacio Barolo. The architecture is nice, as our the views. Our server didn't seem especially happy to be there. But it didn't detract from the nice desserts and lovely sunset. We had the chocolate mousse, chocolate cheesecake and flan. They were all pretty tasty. You need to book in advance and there's a minimum of 25k ars pesos per person, along with a two hour limit. If you book at sunset on Palazzo Congresso, you might catch a nice sunset. Enjoy.
Timothy F — Google review
By far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, and it wasn't even expensive. You will need to book $25,000 ARS per person, including children, which only works out to be $22 or £16.50 per person, and this effectively works as credit for what you order. The menu has items with prices, but as you have already paid, you simply need to keep count of the cost of what you're ordering so you make the most of the credit you already paid. Because I went with my wife and daughter, I just made sure to order more desserts because if I had not counted, I would have under-ordered. I also recommend booking for a sunset time. So I booked for 17:00, knowing that sunset was going to be at 18:10, giving me 3 solid views; day, sunset and night, as your booking lasts for 2 entire hours uninterrupted. The scone was the best scone I have ever had the ecstatic pleasure of tasting, biting and swallowing. It was so good, I was willing to fight my wife over it, and she's a feisty Latina even when it's not dinnertime. The chocolate cake was perfect. The Pavlova was beautiful. The view was perfect as well as beautiful. The French toast was great. The pork was delicious. The staff was helpful, and one particular señorita took some fantastic shots thanks to her angles and experience working there. You'll be missing out big time if you came to Buenos Aires WITHOUT doing this.

Salón 1923 gets it. You step into the Palacio Barolo, rattle up in a quaint cage elevator, and suddenly you're in some 1920s reverie. The room glows, the waitresses float by in perfect period uniforms with Chaplin hats, and you feel like you’re part of a lost European novel. The drinks? Solid, with the notable exception of a dirty martini so salty it could’ve floated a corpse. We mentioned it and watched our waitress instantly channel her inner Parisian café veteran. You know the type — slightly pained expression, existential dread in the eyes, deep-seated belief that you're ruining their day by existing. Still, it’s a hell of a place to have a drink. Just don't expect anyone to hold your hand — even if you did pay a $20.00 entrance fee for the privilege.

Frank's is a speakeasy-style bar located on an unassuming block in Palermo Hollywood. To gain entry, you'll need to obtain a secret passcode from the bar's social media pages and provide it to the impeccably dressed bouncer. Once inside, you'll be transported to a dimly lit interior adorned with vintage accents, where bartenders in suspenders craft award-winning cocktails.
It's a great place. It makes you feel wonderfully special. It is a very stylish place where every detail is carefully considered. The food and drinks are very delicious. The prices are quite affordable. Everyone is very kind and caring. I can't wait to visit again

Fantastic spot for drinks with friends. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, and the food exceeds expectations. The real highlight, though, is the drinks — both the Penicillin and Old Fashioned were expertly crafted and absolutely delightful. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Matias C — Google review
Frank’s Bar was a pleasant surprise. I discovered it by chance due to its convenient location. The space is roomy, with good music and warm lighting, although it could be better directed. The atmosphere is intimate, with a decent bar counter that allows for interaction with the bartenders. The glassware is high-quality, ice was crystal-clear, and the garnishes were minimalist and elegant. Service was excellent, especially at the bar, though a bit slower for those seated at tables. I ordered several off-menu drinks and was always accommodated.

Cool spot! Recommend making a reservation on their Instagram to get the entrance code. Atmosphere is great. It was pretty dead on a Friday night but still worthwhile. Lots of couples for date night. Drinks were great!

We went on our 1st night out in BA , and the experience was amazing, fast, kind, strong and lovely service, Dylan and Mateo took really good care of us. We loved the fries and the creme brûlée, we came back 2 nights in a row , the cocktails were great, classic cocktails. I loved the old fashioned and the whiskey sour ! We will recommend and come back on our next trip to Buenos Aires The ambiance, decorations and furniture were unique and comfy!

An amazing speak easy! Knock on the metal door, then enter a number into the phone box and before you know it you're in a beautiful bar! Would recommend booking a table - we didn't but managed to get seats at the bar. The cocktails are great, a little pricey but delish! We also ordered drinks off the menu and the bartender was very accommodating

Going to Franks is like entering a time machine set up to go back to a 1920s bar in NYC during the prohibition in USA, truly unique. The drinks are good and food is expensive for the quality of what you get. I'd definitely go back for drinks but not for food. Overall good experience.

El Perón Perón is a restaurant and bar in Lavalleja, BA that pays homage to the legacy of former Argentine president Juan Perón and his wife, Eva. The menu features Juan Perón's favorite dishes, and the place is adorned with memorabilia celebrating Peronism. Visitors can expect spontaneous outbursts of the Peronist March by young Peronists who frequent the establishment.
A popular restaurant - and a history lesson at the same time. Popular amongst “Peronistas” obviously - and you definitely learn a lot about the ambivalent history of Argentina. But this review is not meant to be about politics of course, so we came here for food and we were served an excellent steak and wine. Very friendly service and great atmosphere.
Steffen H — Google review
I wanted to love this place but didn't. For the second night in a row, I've had food in Buenos Aires that simply didn't meet basic standards for seasoning. I'll start with the positive: the service was great, and the vibe of the place is a welcoming neighborhood spot. I started with a buffalo meat empanada, and it was delicious. It had all of the flavor I'd expect from a quality empanada...and yet an usual twist with the meat choice. The rest of the meal was mediocre. The osso buco was cooked well, as the meat was tender. But despite the delicious-looking sauce that covered it, the dish (neither the meat nor the mashed potatoes) had any flavor. I picked at it and left the rest. The flan was...ok. I've had much better. The price was reasonable: total meal was under $50USD.

I wanted to see the Evita memorabilia and enjoyed the visit. Service and music was good as were the happy hour cocktails. The decor and pictures all done nicely.
Gianni B — Google review
What a disappointment - came with a few friends for breakfast. Empanadas- had a hair inside. Provoleta burnt almost to the crisp. Osobuco gave my friend food poisoning before his 40 hour flight. Steak -overcooked dispute a 5 minute explanation what medium rare means. Needless to say we will not be back.
Oxana R — Google review
The service and food were excellent. You cannot go wrong with any of the choices on the menu. The waitress was extremely accommodating to me and my friends. Just so you know, the political vibe is tailored toward the kishners, and there were chants throughout the night for the former presidents.

This was such a great place to visit! First of all it’s connected to Argentinian politics and Perón. It’s crazy how cool the decorations inside are. People also started singing some song while we were eating. But the food also justified the visit! We had steak and Shepard’s pie and at the end pancakes with Dulce De Leche that were great! The service was also great!

J.W. Bradley is a highly recommended place with great cocktails and beer, excellent service, and a lively atmosphere. The menu offers delicious steaks and appetizers, making it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. It's advisable to make reservations in advance, especially on weekends. The bar has received praise for its welcoming staff, NYC marquee-like ambiance, and exceptional service. Guests have enjoyed the amazing drinks like Red Flag and appreciated the English translations on the menu.
Marina was a great waitress, very attentive to our drink order and fast to deliver. Drinks were a bit sweet but overall very yummy. Would absolutely come back!

Great vibes, but music is quite loud, I kept wondering if at some point a dance floor would open up somewhere. I had a really hard time finding the menu online, which I didn’t appreciate, but it seems to be a common thing in Buenos Aires, you don’t find menus anywhere. Drinks are cool, however we were unimpressed by the food and didn’t order anything past the appetizer.
Maria M — Google review
Highly recommend checking this place out. Great cocktails (they have beer as well), great service and a very fun atmosphere. A local friend said I should try it and I did and I will certainly come back here next time I'm in BA! The steak was good on the menu and so were the appetizers. Recommend getting a reservation in advance especially on the weekends. Just do it!
J. B — Google review
We went with a couple of friends and we a great night. Server are really nice. Merlina and Marrin were great! The only thing that it could be improved is the level of the music. There was a moment it was too high and it was impossible to talk, even, with the person you had next to you. It is a restaurant not a bar/disco.....apart from that, everything was good.
María D — Google review
This place is a joke. Extremely over priced for drinks that taste like water and they barely fill your glass (the left drink in the picture was how much I was served) . The music was so loud no one could hear anyone and the music was a weird mix of dance and 80s rock. If you want a good cocktail go to doppelganger.
Mur — Google review
Pretty nice bar! It appears it becomes a club after 11. You need reservations but can stand at the bar if you don’t have one. They have a private area in the back, wasn’t sure what that was. Pretty cool you get to enter through a train car. Drinks were okay, they weren’t willing to make a mocktail so I picked a cocktail and said leave out the Gin. Made my own. I didn’t see anyone eating, seems like a drink only spot. I would try it again possibly

The drink selection at this bar is good. However, the small ice cubes water drink faster; larger cubes would elevate the overall drinking experience. Boticario is a unique bar that used to be an old pharmacy, and it still carries the theme in its ambiance and beverages. The bartender, known as the boticario, recommends their best signature cocktails instead of medicines in a modern and extravagant setting. The bar offers unusual and fresh drinks like Tea Hibiscus Tonic with gin, Sparkling Grass with whiskey and lemongrass, or fungus negroni with gin, vermouth, campari, and smoked mushrooms.
I came to Boticario as one of my final evenings in Buenos Aires with Diego and Tina bartending. We were able to snag the best seats in the house and had a front view of all the action. Aside from the lovely atmosphere, they added flair to the process for making drinks and even offered little tastes here and there. This has been one of my favorite cocktail bars I’ve ever visited. Amazing drinks and vibes. Highly recommend! Insider tip: taste the house made gins…interesting and delicious flavors!!

Stumbled upon this place on accident on our way home. At first thought it was closed but a gentleman opened the door after we knocked and led us to the bar. Diego was fantastic- he gave us great recommendations and tailored our drinks to our flavor profile. WOW ! Be warned the menu changes so definitely come back to try the new menu. Definitely this placed is under hyped.

Creative themed bar with excellent inventive cocktails. It is located at a former pharmacy location and is styled after that some drinks featuring medicinal plants and bitters. The staff is dressed in white scrubs which adds to the atmosphere. Very kind and helpful. Great place to bring your date.

Really awesome cocktail lounge experience. 3D menu, quality service, chill relaxed vibes, and old school pharmacy theme with flasks and scientific ingredients - awesome! I happened to get in without reservation on a Wednesday night, but you can reserve to assure you get in and especially if you have a big group.
Leonard — Google review
Bar Boticario offered good drinks, a strong cocktail menu, and creative clarified cocktails. The glassware was excellent, with light, elegant glasses, and the garnishes were appropriate. I particularly enjoyed the variation on the New York Sour with nitrogen foam, and the Boulevardier was served impeccably with a large, crystal-clear ice cube. All drinks were aromatic and well-presented. However, the bartenders were distant and inattentive, and seating away from the bar was uncomfortable. When I asked to sample a particular spirit, I was denied — something that at a high-level bar would typically be offered without even asking. This was a very strong negative point. Despite the quality of the drinks, my overall experience was mediocre, and I do not plan to return.
Luis B — Google review
Very cool place with interesting back story. It used to be an old pharmacy. The drink menu changes every few months and its done with locally sourced herbs.

Boticario (or apothecary in English) is a cool, dimly lit spot with funky curios filling every nook. Handcrafted cocktails focus on the seven deadly sins & being an apothecary-themed bar, drinks are made with a lot of herbs, tinctures & bitters. The house specialties change every four weeks & they’re like nothing I’ve ever tasted (in a good way!) but their version of a classic old fashioned was next level. Staff are friendly & it’s a terrific way to finish the night… or start, if you’re younger than me!

Excellent local bar and food. On our way back from Parc Lezama and Boca Juniors stadium, we popped into 'Bar Britanico' on the corner of Defensa and Brasil for dinner. Hard to miss! What a good choice that was. The restaurant is large and airy with large windows where you can watch the world go by. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I had one of the best meals during my stay in Buenos Aires - and it was very inexpensive. Improved, of course, with a Patagonia Amber ale - our drink of choice whilst there. Highly recommended.

This place was a lovely little find! We were initially put off by the name, as it sounded like an English pub. The last thing we wanted when travelling abroad! Turns out the story is much different, in that it is named as such because of all the English officers who used to frequent the venue in its colonial past. Yes, the place is ancient but still brings a great nostalgic vibe to be enjoyed over breakfast. Service is excellent, even if little English is spoken but hey, this is why we travel! Worth a visit, for sure 👍

This lovely pub is just 1 block from my bnb, went for lunch and was not disappointed. Waiters spoke good English, charming outdoor area as well as inside pub seating. Decent drinks, but the service was nonexistent. They could have made so much business from us if they bothered to ask if we needed another drink. It was very disappointing especially since our first visit here years ago brought us back, but now we no longer have the desire to return. Live music bar
El Boliche de Roberto is a historic bar in Buenos Aires that comes alive after midnight on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. The interior is packed with tables and filled with genuine singers, guitar players, and tango accordion masters. This humble-looking bar has been open since 1893 and serves as a platform for emerging young tango musicians. The walls are adorned with old paintings and dusty soda siphons, creating a nostalgic atmosphere.
A true gem of a bar with rich history, providing a stage for local Argentinian artists to share their passion for music with an engaged audience. While visiting Buenos Aires, we discovered this one-of-a-kind treasure. It radiates authenticity and passion, with unforgettable tango nights, excellent prices, and outstanding service. There’s no cover charge for the live performances—you simply tip the artists as much as you wish, which adds to the charm and accessibility of the experience. This place is an absolute jewel, filled with beautiful energy. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the vibrant local art scene.

This is where the locals and tourists enjoy a drink at night and listen to live music. The live music is free. You tip the musicians whatever you think they are worth. Look at the man in the street, standing next to the window. He did not move a hair for the entire song...

I traveled quite a distance to visit this bar, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. The place was extremely dirty, with dust-covered bottles and a generally unclean environment. On top of that, I noticed a flag supporting terrorists on the wall that I personally found highly offensive and inappropriate, while there wasn’t even a single Argentine flag in sight.. At that point, I couldn’t justify supporting such an establishment and left without ordering. I would strongly advise others to avoid wasting their time coming here.

I’ve been to Buenos Aires many times and this place is by far the best when it comes to an immersive cultural experience. Unlike those massive tango performances targeted to tourists, it is always packed with locals and the performers are incredibly talented.

Best place to feel real tango song of old Argenina Take some tips with you please😉 entrance free and it is worth to pay tips for great live songs. Most great evening here if you wanna feel native argentinos vibes #ionkinberg_travel

This place was amazing, a dream of time past and a thrummingly present cultural experience in each moment. Service was a bit chilly at first, but once it was clear to bar staff that we were there entirely to take in the music and weren’t gonna do the loud clueless American tourist thing, quite warm and kind. Talking during performances is not the thing - everyone in the bar will shush, witnessed it many times. But if you truly want to hear and see and feel the heart of tango music in an intimate setting, this is the place - and you probably won’t be tempted to talk over the performances, which are astounding. Limited menu of mostly beer & wine - if you find a proper cocktail menu online, disregard, it’s outdated. Food options also seem limited, but whatever - go have a great dinner at one of the city’s many brilliant restaurants, and come here afterwards, just for the music and the experience.

A Masterclass in How Not to Run a Bar If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a bar prioritizes mediocre tango performances over basic hospitality, look no further. The staff seemed far more interested in twirling around the floor than in serving customers. When they finally did acknowledge us, it was only to silence our conversation—apparently, talking is not allowed here. Despite the absence of table reservations, the best spot in the house was mysteriously “unavailable” for anyone but the regulars. Paying by card? Expect an extra 5–10% charge, which is not only outrageous but also illegal. The cocktails? So strong they might as well be jet fuel. If you have asthma or a dust allergy, bring your inhaler—this place hasn’t seen a deep clean in years. Service was so inattentive that we had to repeatedly wave the staff over, only for them to remove our empty glasses instead of asking if we wanted another round. But the true pièce de résistance? After settling the bill and leaving, a server followed us into a side alley to lecture us about tipping—complete with racist remarks. If you're not a local, don’t expect a warm welcome. If you’re looking for a great night out, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Excellent service, great vibe and exquisite venue. Alexis took great care of me. The cigar humidor and selection was extensive. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful terrace with a decent view. Very pleasant to sit out and enjoy the day. Also a great inside cigar lounge. Service was friendly and correct, but slow and more or less absent. Long stretches of time with no one on staff present on the terrace. And while there were no more than half a dozen people having lunch, it took 50 minutes to get a milanesa - which is also probably why it was overcooked. The fantastic potatoes and spicy chimichurri almost made up for that.

An amazing rooftop bar in Buenos Aires. Beautiful sunset spot and in general views both during the day and at night are amazing. Had the best time here and were taken care of by the staff. Everyone were super friendly and Romeo in particular took good care of me. A note for tourists, the staff speak English very well. Delicious food as well. Definitely recommend!

BrukBar Buenos Aires is a lively and popular gathering spot located in the vibrant neighborhood of Palermo SoHo. It offers signature cocktails, finger foods, and sandwiches. The bar is known for its friendly atmosphere and great deals on classic cocktails, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With its late-night hours, it's a go-to spot for those looking to enjoy drinks and good company well into the early hours.
This is easily one of the best cocktail spots in all of Palermo. The menu is creative, and each drink comes in a themed glass—so in one night I went from Pennywise to SpongeBob’s pineapple, because yes, I’m that complicated. The Lemon Tree, Penny’s Punch, and Que mirás Bob are all worth sipping, even if they come with more ice than the iceberg that sank the Titanic. Luckily, the flavor is so good you end up forgiving them. The service was excellent—the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit. They accept contactless payments, so you can tap to pay and keep pretending you’re not spending that much.

Amazing and very hard to miss grand mural greets you as you walk up. Photogenic themed cocktails are great even if not the best I've had but well worth it for the price + the experience IMO. Service wasn't great for us but it happens. Too bad we came in a Monday they Have great drink deals on Wednesdays.

I love this place, the ambience is nice and the drinks really creative. They've gotten better with the concepts. One little negative thing: most of these drinks are very sweet. Anyway, I think the best thing is that they are not expensive at all. Other bars around charge you way more for drinks that are poorly presented, but this place clearly puts love and creativity on their product. PS: Be careful of the steps! I almost fell when I was going to the toilet.
George R — Google review
You can tell this is a fun place and loved by many. The inside is very nice and perfect for catching up with friends. We came early so it was a bit empty but the service was quick. The drinks were very sweet where we couldn’t finish them. I’d definitely stop by again to try out a few other options.

Outstanding cocktails - Johnny Wonka - never seen Johnnie Walker Red used in cocktail though it worked really well as its not something you would drink neat. Rum blend served in a skull mug was fab too. The music was ace too - place has awesome vibes overall. Best of all though was the service. Super welcoming upon entry and assistance with choosing a cocktail and offering to make a classic if we wished. 100% recommend this place! Must visit!

Oh the way I stumbled in here at 3am. The drink was good, and aptly served in skull goblet. Some shots were begrudgingly involved. Very homey friendly vibe from staff and patrons, and a great (late) late night (almost morning haha) option.

Súper nice place and seating area outside, but poor service. It’s hard to believe that a wine bar has only 1 wine by the glass per type/color, and very low quality. Lack of knowledge and variety.

It's not the place to eat, rather to sit and talk. Portions are way too small - we took 2 main dishes, 1 entada and two desserts for two girls and still end up being hungry, which is a bit upsetting considering that the place is not that cheap. Food was good though, but nothing with wow effect. Overall atmosphere is nice, more appropriate for a date or to meet with your friend 1 on 1, I wouldn't recommend to go as a group of people, as the tables are very small. But I liked the design of the bar. Waiter was very nice and our food was served very quickly, so the service is 5/5. Would I say that I was disappointed? No. Would I recommend this place to my friends? Also no.

Not bad but I wouldn’t say it’s something wow. They have beers written, you spend some time to choose beer just to find out it’s not available. Would be nice to have some sign of that. Also, we hardly speak any Spanish and didn’t say anything but it was very weird why our beer costed as regular even though we were there during a happy hour. The atmosphere and staff is very nice and we liked the place but more professional things need some improvement.
Ekaterine ( — Google review
Staff is untrained and rude. You'd think for a place that puts so much effort into the beer and food that they'd bother to hire staff that had ever worked before. Most of the staff just hangs around chatting and then the bartender is rude. Beer was good. Food was decent. Happy hour is a joke. NOT RECOMMENDED

(Translated by Google) My partner and I visited this place in December 2021 and we still like it as much as ever. The atmosphere is calm, with the music volume moderate, the food is delicious, as are the drinks. The burgers are spectacular. Double the guacamole and Jack Daniels above all. The potatoes are crispy and I recommend the ones that come with German sausage. As for drinks, the pints are delicious. Honey and Red Ale seem the most delicious to me. THE DRAWN GINS ARE GREAT. They have Happy Hour prices until 8:30 p.m. The pints are 500, instead of 550, and they have beers of the day for 450 pesos. They have about 10 varieties of craft beer, 6 or 7 draft gins, they have delicious wines, among other things. As for food, there are tapas, hamburgers, sandwiches, pizza, potatoes, etc. The girls who work are very cool. Coni, mainly. They are friendly and work fast. The bathrooms are clean. In general there is no line and there is always a table available. I leave photos from a Saturday, although during the week there are fewer people. Punto Mona is a trendy sound lounge bar located in Chacarita, Buenos Aires. It's the brainchild of Mona Gallosi, a renowned bartender in Argentine mixology. The bar offers an intimate and inviting atmosphere for couples or small groups. With its beautiful decor and an 8-meter bar serving original creations and timeless classics, it has become a sought-after spot for enjoying well-crafted cocktails.
At first this bar looked empty, but a friendly bouncer led me through the courtyard and into the back of the building to the bar area where plenty of people where enjoying their cocktails under cozy lighting, among various couches and chairs, and a dj spinning vinyl. The bartender made me a tasty off-menu cocktail. Great atmosphere and conversation.

The suggested drinks are a “reversion” of classics, the “reversion” of the Moscow mule, for example, was a Moscow mule but with vodka from the sponsor brand, that is, a Moscow mule. The espresso martini was very delicious. Finally we ordered two more drinks, this time signature drinks, which were a total disappointment. Café Tortoni, established in 1858, stands as a historic gem in Buenos Aires and is renowned for its French-style ambiance. This iconic café has long been a gathering place for the city's cultural elite, including celebrated figures like Jorge Luis Borges and Carlos Gardel. The venue buzzes with artistic energy, hosting live tango performances and various musical events that continue to attract both locals and tourists alike.
The atmosphere is the real highlight here — full of history and charm. I enjoyed the Patagonia flower tea, which was surprisingly good, and the churros with hot chocolate were classic. Food itself is nothing special and service felt rushed with the tourist crowds, but it’s worth a stop to soak in the setting.

The atmosphere here is truly charming — cozy, historical, and full of character. I had to wait in line for about 45 minutes, but in the end it was definitely worth it to check out this must-visit spot. The bakery items were freshly made, and the coffee was decent as well, making for a nice combination. The staff impressed me with how professional, organized, and fast they were, even with so many people around. And of course, the highlight was the tango show — absolutely impressive, full of passion and energy, and something that perfectly captures the spirit of Buenos Aires. Overall, a memorable experience that I would recommend despite the wait.

I usually don’t visit cafe’s and restaurant’s recommended by travel guides, but this time, the recommendation was spot on! I didn’t know what to expect. A grande entrance with 2 large doors. When you walk in, it feels like you are walking into an opera house. The lighting, ambience, people talking, laughter, and staff moving between tables whilst smiling. Organized chaos and feel good environment. I have never seen or experienced a cafe in such a grande scale. It was like watching live drama unfolding in reality. I was looked after by Yamii. Great service from her and a very pleasurable person to converse with. It was a highlight of my trip to Buenos Aires! Please do visit this place even if you have to queue up outside for some time. It will be worth it!

Café Tortoni is a fascinating place — stepping inside feels a bit like traveling back in time. The menu is a little unusual (cake for breakfast, anyone?), but the food was actually quite good. You can tell the service is optimized for efficiency rather than a leisurely dining experience, yet it’s still absolutely worth a visit for the atmosphere and historic charm alone.

Live tango dance. Amazing hot chocolate. The lemon pie was amazing as well. The vibe was cozy and intimate. We got there around 3 and the wait wasn’t that long, however when we left at 3:45 there was a long line.

This is a tourist must-go place. After seeing much of street cafe shops selling similar bakeries pastries, I think it's time to try authentic traditional cafe even with long line. The menus are in Spanish, we need google translator and an english speaking waiter to explain to us. For simplicity we chose a combo for 2- Té del Atardecer (2 infusiones, 2 copas de jugo de naranja exprimido, tostado mixto, alfajor, brownie, 2 medialunas, 2 churros, tostadas, manteca y mermelada). Well it might be for breakfast, it did not matter. The food is so so, I'm not coffee lover, so no comments on coffee. I did enjoy the classic decor with history, in the middle someone briefly showcased bit of tango, that's bit of surprise. Overall we did enjoy our experience.
Zemin B — Google review
After reading loads of reviews about this 'must visit' place in Buenos Aires, I thought I would give it a go. I think others must have been thinking the same things as the first two times there were really long queues outside, which only made me more determined to go in and see what all the hype was about. We managed to get a table in the late afternoon and the understood its popularity. It was like stepping back in time. The design of the place was very art deco and amazing to look at. There were live tango dancers moving between the tables. I expected the food to be over priced given its popularity, but was really surprised that it wasn't. It was like travelling back in time, a great experience and highly recommended.
Jensen I — Google review
Café Tortoni is not just a coffee house but a beautifully preserved portal to Buenos Aires's storied past, making it an essential destination for any visitor. Its history begins in 1858 when Jean Touan, a French immigrant, opened the original establishment; it later moved to its iconic, current address at Avenida de Mayo 825 in 1880, establishing itself as the cultural heart of the city. The moment you step through its doors, you are immersed in belle-époque splendor, surrounded by dark polished wood, marble tables, stained glass, and evocative portraits of Argentine cultural legends who once frequented its halls. While enjoying a classic café con leche and churros, the atmosphere itself - filled with the echo of poets, tango masters, and intellectuals - provides a uniquely romantic and historically resonant experience. It successfully maintains its century-old elegance and charm, offering delicious treats and a vibrant evening tango show, cementing its status as a living cultural monument and a delightful place to pause and soak up the city's spirit.

Don Julio is a renowned steakhouse in Argentina, celebrated for its classic steaks, local dishes, and extensive wine selection within an intimate setting. The restaurant has garnered global recognition, securing a notable 18th place in the 50 Best Restaurants in the world ranking for 2023. Specializing in grass-fed Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cattle beef aged for at least 21 days, Don Julio offers an exceptional dining experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and a warm welcome that immediately made us feel happy and at ease. I had booked a table for two at noon on a weekday, and by the time we got there, the restaurant was already nearly full—always a good sign. The starters and bread were delightful, bringing a sense of joy and anticipation while we waited for the main dishes. We ordered the grilled cheese, salad, and a 500g medium-rare ribeye. I was truly impressed by the steak—perfectly cooked with a beautifully smoked crust, while the inside remained incredibly tender. Highly recommended for both its outstanding food and attentive service!

Great food and great service. We had a reservation but asked to move it earlier, and they kindly accommodated us — though we sat outside, which we didn’t mind. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ojo de bife was huge, easily enough for 3–4 people. Overall, excellent experience — if you’re a true steak fan, you’ll notice the quality difference; if not, it might just feel like another good steak. Still worth it for the experience, just a bit on the pricey side.

This place has a lot of hype but we really felt it lived up to it and was worth the price. I could only get a booking for 11.30am online and even at that you queue. But they gave sparkling wine and empanadas while waiting. We were seated outside on white table cloth. Wouldn't have been my preference but was still nice and classy. We were given a few "free" bits including nice breads with a type of salsa and there are nice salsas and chimichuri sauces kept on the table. We decided to get a few starters (sausage and morcilla) and an entrecote steak to share with chips and a nice bottle of malbec. All really beautiful and the feature of the steak cut next to you is class. All really beautiful. The post main part is a little slower and less attentive service though they had some nice features like giving a free ice cream after ordering one. I also got coffee. Overall came to c $260,000 (€150) which I felt was worth it for what it was.

We were thrilled to get a seat at the number one steakhouse — ranked best three years in a row and a proud Michelin-star holder! There were some mixed reviews online, but coming all the way from Southeast Asia, we were so eager to try this famous establishment. We managed to get a lunch reservation, and while waiting, they served complimentary empanadas and wine — such a nice touch. The service was excellent and the staff were superb. We ordered the entrecôte (which costs about three-quarters less than back home!) and it was absolutely AMAZING — so flavorful and tender that we ended up ordering a second one. The mashed potatoes were also delightful. If you get the chance, do yourself a favor and try this place — it’s that good!
Debby D — Google review
You definitely need a reservation for this place as it’s always busy. Even with a reservation, expect to wait a little before being seated, but they make the wait enjoyable by serving champagne outside. We ordered the tomahawk steak, and it was cooked to perfection, the only steakhouse in Argentina where we felt they nailed it perfectly. The food overall was okay and we were a bit surprised that it ranks among the top steakhouses in the world. What truly set the experience apart was the service, easily the best we’ve ever had anywhere. The staff made the entire experience feel special. Overall, we had a great time. The exceptional service alone makes Don Julio worth a visit, even if the food didn’t fully match its world-class reputation.

The freshly baked bread served with olive oil and green cheese? I'd quite special. We tried a few appetitizer and enjoyed them all - the chitterlings are chewy and spongey, grilled cheese smells and tastes good. The veg dishes of pedimento and mushroom are juicy and tasty. The rib eye steak lives up to the standard. The waiters at the table are overall attentive. In terms of critique, the seating is crowded for the standard of fine dining however. The restaurant reception subtly gives the sensel that the restaurant, no. 10 in the world with one Michelin star, is in hot demand that they have more customers than they can serve. Overall it is a great experience.

Exceptional quality meat, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the reputation or price. We ordered a flank steak (medium-rare), a ribeye (medium-rare), mashed potatoes, and mushrooms. The flank steak arrived unevenly cooked (at parts medium / medium-well), the ribeye was rare, the mashed potatoes were buttery but under-seasoned, and the mushrooms were good but not exceptional. We appreciated the service upon joining the line at open - they passed around glasses of bubbly wine. We did not indulge, as it was early in the day, but we appreciated the sentiment nonetheless. We regret not ordering the fries — they looked amazing as they arrived at other tables. We’ve since been chasing that same fry experience elsewhere after Don Julio, but alas…

We came here twice during our visit to Buenos Aires. I think combining the food, wine list and the service they all do the justice of their fame! I’m not a big steak fan but this one was good. But they got me with the little empanadas they serve while you are waiting for your table! I could just eat them forever! Definitely an experience to have in the city!

Located in the lively city of Palermo, La Cabrera is a popular Argentinian grill known for its wide variety of high-quality cuts of meat. From boneless ribeye to grilled gizzards and braised pork shoulder, the restaurant offers an array of traditional dishes. What sets La Cabrera apart are the generous side dishes that accompany the beef, including mashed potatoes, quail eggs, zucchinis, and sweet corn.
Genuinely very impressed! They offer a dinner deal with 40% off at certain times, which makes it amazing value. All of the steaks were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The sides were just as impressive, and there’s a lovely selection of wines to choose from. We left absolutely stuffed and very happy. It was genuinely so worth it—highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Cabrera is an absolute must-visit in Buenos Aires! 🇦🇷 The atmosphere is lively and full of local charm, and the service is friendly and attentive from start to finish. The steaks were cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour — easily some of the best we’ve ever had! 🥩🔥 The selection of side dishes and sauces was outstanding, and the generous portions make it great value for money. We loved the complimentary appetisers and desserts — such a thoughtful touch. If you’re visiting Buenos Aires and want to experience authentic Argentine cuisine in a warm and vibrant setting, La Cabrera should be at the top of your list. ❤️

Had a lovely diner here. Was (pleasantly!) surprised by the Happy Hour discount -30% for diner between 18.30-20.00. Service was really good! Food wise it was possible to share dishes or eat half a portion, which was great. Salads as a side dish are also very good ánd huge, so easy to share. Am very pleased that I have visited this place, will come back!

we ordered the Argentinean meat, 3/5 in my opinion. maybe the entrana would be a better choice. waiters only arrive at 8pm for dinner so going early to secure a table if you have no reservations.

We ate here recently and throughly enjoyed the food, the steak was one of the best I’ve eaten. And the service was very attentive and friendly too. Plus the prices are decent, especially during the happy hour. Maybe a bit picky but only 4 stars because… * We sat outside as it was the 40% off happy hour so was very busy. Not a problem, but the heating lamp didn’t work and it was August so it was uncomfortably cold. They need to fix the heater. * I allowed the waiter to talk me into ordering less steak (he was quite persistent), so was still hungry at the end. The customer is always right. 🙂 * I ordered a can of beer and it arrived in a half-full glass because it was only half the can. I don’t know what they did with the other half. When I got a second can of beer I poured it myself and it filled the glass to the very top.

My favorite steakhouse in Palermo. Very crowded -you need a reservation or luck. The beef is amazing, well priced. Service is very good. 👍

Very kind, friendly, and helpful waitstaff. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend for an affordable and delicious taste of authentic Argentinian steak.

La Cabrera is the kind of place where everything just turns out right. They have been at it for years and it shows. The staff are experienced and attentive, the atmosphere has that classic Buenos Aires charm, and the food is exactly what you hope for in a traditional parrilla. The steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy, and the empanadas were excellent. Portions are generous, flavors are authentic, and the overall experience lives up to the reputation. Set in the heart of Palermo, one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, La Cabrera makes for a perfect night out. Palermo is known for its lively mix of cafés, bars, and restaurants, and this spot is one of the standouts. A great combination of quality food, professional service, and a location full of energy. No complaints, just a memorable Buenos Aires dining experience.

Nestled just a stone's throw from the iconic Recoleta Cemetery, La Biela is a charming historic café that has been delighting patrons since 1850. This Parisian-style terrace eatery boasts an inviting atmosphere filled with natural light and adorned with fascinating automobile memorabilia, paying homage to its past as a gathering place for intellectuals and racing legends like Juan Manuel Fangio.
We had an amazing time at La Biela. The food was great and reasonably priced. I believe the $45 USD meal package includes a main dish, beverage, and dessert. The food was great, but the apple pie was DELICIOUS. The staff is awesome and hilarious and definitely enhanced our stay. The gentleman who assisted us shared knowledge on the history of the restaurant and its future. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

How nice and authentic place to have traditional breakfast at when in Buenos Aires! We absolutely enjoyed the service, vibe and the amazing medialunas con cafe! We hope to go back one day!
Sara K — Google review
In business over 150 years ago, it comes across that it can go for another 150 years. It is a great stop after visiting the Recoleta area : the cemetery and the Floralis Generica garden. We enjoy the atmosphere as much as the pastry and the cappuccino. With ample seating and waiters in classical uniform, times seems to stand still in this cafe, it is a place to relax, to read a book or simply to chill. We do not speak much of Spanish so the waiter even makes an special effort to show us the pastries and let us choose. It turns out to be very delicious. The cafe even offers sugar in different sizes. We think it is a stop to add to your Recoleta trip.
Olivia T — Google review
We were made aware of this restaurant while on private tour in Buenos Aires via an introduction by our guide. We ended up back here to grab a quick snack after walking around the city. ATMOSPHERE: They're located near the Recoleta Cemetery. As you enter, you're greeted by a table occupied by life-like statues of two men who used to frequent the place, Argentine writer Adolfo Bioy Casares and his writer friend Jorge Luis Borges, both of whom wrote a book together and whose photos adorn the restaurant's walls. The inside decor is dated, a bit like an old European eatery crammed with dark-stained wood low tops but still classy at the same time. A fairly large outdoor terrace sports an equal amount of seats as well, with partial protection from a big tree. But according to the menu, food costs a bit more to eat out rather than in. Odd! MENU: Tons of different selections but we were looking for something sweet or coffee-based. DESSERT: Café Vienés This is their version of an affogato which came in a tall glass and consumed like a milkshake. The creamy coffee flavors totally hit the spot! Lemon Meringue Pie (slice) The crust was moist and buttery, the filling creamy and lemony. SERVICE: Our male server was great. Very professional and attentive. OVERALL: A bit pricey but everything was tasty!

Great outside atmosphere but the service is beyond atrocious. I’ve finished my lunch about 30 minutes ago and nobody has cleared my plate or asked if I want anything else. Just horrible. There are 10 other restaurants near here - would suggest any others over this one. The ancient waiters simply don’t care.

Bar Plaza Dorrego, situated in Buenos Aires, is a historic drinking venue established in 1881. It exudes old-world charm with its preserved original decor and traditional ambiance. Located near the famous San Telmo market, it offers a lively atmosphere with street performers, tango dancers, and numerous artists and artisans setting up stalls on the sidewalk. The bar's picturesque location next to the historic square adds to its allure as traditionally dressed waiters serve amidst the background of tango music.
Great atmosphere typical bar from Buenos Aires. Absolutely recommended it! Great coffee and great quality!

Bar Plaza Dorrego remains essentially unchanged since it opened its door in the mid-20th century. Unlike many other cafés in the touristy Sant Telmo neighbourhood , it has managed to retain its meditative ambience and authentic atmosphere. Gritty and dusty, Bar Plaza Dorrego is a great place to watch the world go by and imagine you've been transported decades into the past. The food is unremarkable, the waiters are unfriendly and don't speak English and price are on the high side but if you enjoy authentic vintage experiences, this is the place for you. 📸 Pictures by Ignacio de Asua 📸INSTAGRAM: @unhippieconosde 📸 TRIPADVISOR PHOTOWALKS : “Buenos Aires Photographer”

Avoid. I'm usually skeptical of reviews that complain about bars/restaurants being overpriced, but in this case they're richly deserved. A platter for two, consisting of diced ham, salami and cheese cubes with dry bread, olives and crisps, cost AR$780... The quality of the items was piss-poor too. We paid less for an incredible steak from a great steakhouse yesterday! So in summary, avoid. Food not even fit for a dog, and you'll pay through your nose for it.

First of all we went in summer...it was a mild noon and the place promised air conditioning...nope. the service was cold, I speak Spanish but it was like talking to a wall...very unfriendly. Every item you order you get a ticket or receipt we ordered beers, one, we ordered a tostado a second one. They dont provide with much, sharing plates or utensils. When we went to pay...surprise, the credit card machine didnt work! I had Argentine pesos but what if i didnt ...there was no notice at the door. It is a unique location...too bad they dont use for a better purpose

Awesome. I just love this place. The dark wood. The old tango music. Get a frenet and cola. Sit. Enjoy the view of dorrego plaza and the folks dancing tango there. I came for some drinks one day. I also just chilled here 4 hours before a flight. Awesomeness

One of the oldest bars in the city in continuous operation and well worth a quick drink during your tour of San Telmo. Note the historic wooden fridges behind the bar and the names that people have been carving in the interior for decades now and if you are one of the lucky ones to find one of the few tables outside available you get an extra bonus of nice view of San Telmo's central square with it's antique market

A little oversold in the tour guides. It's a nice enough square but just full of bar and restaurant tables and there are so many beautiful buildings in the area that are not so evident here, except one fabulously decorative bar.

Lovely early 20th century period café with a strong tradition. Dusty, raw and authentic. Beautiful wooden interiors and shelves with antique bottles and biscuit tins contribute to the moody atmosphere. Great place to people watch, read a book or have a quick bite. I strongly recommend the 'sandwich de pavita': a succulent cold turkey sandwich. One of the few authentic historic bars left in the city.

Immerse yourself in the traditional tango culture of Buenos Aires at El Querandi - Cena Tango Show. Located in the historic San Telmo neighborhood, this intimate venue offers an authentic experience with its elegant, dark wood–lined surroundings and a cozy setting that allows for a personal connection with the performers.
You do NOT want to miss El Querandí Tango Show on your next visit to Buenos Aires. Everything about the experience is designed to give you the very best Buenos Aires has to offer in terms of tango shows. The building exists since 1860 and is considered a a piece of Argentine cultural heritage for its instrumental place in the history of the development of tango. The decor is an authentic representation of the 1920s in Buenos Aires with a large, dark, ornate cedar bar, panels covering the walls, and a welcoming archway at the entrance as well as beautiful black and white checkered floor tiles. Reservations are required for the dinner and tango show. The dinner portion of the evening begins at 8:30 PM. The menu includes 3 courses with a solid selection of Argentine dishes as well as a few Italian dishes. We all chose empanadas for our appetizer. The dish included one chicken and one beef empanada, both stuffings well prepared in their respective broths. As a second course, we opted for bife de chorizo (sirloin steak) with steamed vegetables on the side. The steak was cooked to perfection with a lovely chimichrri sauce to garnish it. Many of the desert options featured Argentina’s famous dulce de leche (caramelized milk jam), including the crepe I selected. Another interesting dessert option was the so-called “vigilante,” which features slices of jelly-like fruit paste and soft cheese to break it up. A bottle of the house red wine, the San Telmo Malbec, was included with our package. The restaurant was completely full, with a fantastic comunal atmosphere, brought on by large, shared tables and the proximity between tables. The waiters provided excellent service, circling frequently to assist customers. The tango show was absolutely spectacular, spanning the very beginnings of tango music and dance at the end of the 19th century all the way through modernism in the genre beginning in the 1950s and going onward. The musicians and dancers were very professional, displaying a high level of skill in their respective crafts. The dancers switched costumes many times throughout the show to showcase the fashion of the time they were representing. The dancers also displayed an exquisite level of dynamism and acrobatics in bringing to life the various stages of tango’s development. They also extended the performance to include the floor between tables and the bar, which allowed customers to really feel integrated into the fabric of the performance. The band featured a pianist, a bass player, an accordionist and a viola player, who kept the show moving with the changing moods of tango music decade to decade. The show also featured two singers, a male singer who passionately brought to life various tango songs à la Gardel and a female singer who put a bit of a modern twist on classic tango pieces. The show was exciting and engaging from beginning to end. I would recommend this experience to all!
Michele D — Google review
Perfect show, the dancers were so professional… amazing! The musicians also were very talented/professionals. The food was pretty good too: the steak was tasty, tender, smelly, and the dessert amazing as well. I didn’t like the salad because they spilled oil, it wasn’t healthy, I prefer salads only with vinegar.
Isadora A — Google review
The history of the tango was fascinating. They disappeared when the wine ran out though. Unlimited is a misnomer. I also saw them pouring the unfinished bottles of wine back into the bottles after they thought all the guests had left. It is a shame because the show was amazing.

We had such a lovely and Romantic date night ! You are immersed into a Tango dance show with live music and beautiful lightning atmosphere. It was lovely to see the choreographies incorporate the unusual triangular shaped stage with a beam in the front. The dancers are very creative. The costumes are beautiful ❤️ We did not chose a 3 course meal, but we did order off a finger food platter and a champagne off the menu. It was more than enough for us and actually we couldn't finish everything, so it is easily enough for 3-4 people ! The waiter was fantastic and kept a close eye on our glasses to refill them as soon as they were getting low. I would recommend this show and dinner 100%
Irina K — Google review
We were picked up in our Hotel at Recoleta. Arrived at the venue, greeted and taken to our table. Dinner and wine was excellent. Show was a plus! Then we were transported back to our Hotel. Would definitely recommend. We had the VIP dinner package, not cheap- but 1st row seating and premium wines and food.
Rafael G — Google review
A well-executed tango dinner experience with a couple of small hiccups. We booked through a third-party tour (Signature Tours) and were told to arrive at 7:45. In reality, the dinner service doesn’t start until 8 p.m. and runs until about 10, so there’s no need to rush—arriving any time before 9 is fine if you want the full meal. At around 10, the lights go down and the tango show begins, lasting about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The show itself was excellent—professional, well-organized, and easy to enjoy from any seat. The food was solid. I started with a charcuterie board, had a local steak for the main, and finished with a crepe filled with dulce de leche. The filling was delicious, though the caramelized topping wasn’t quite to my taste. My brother and dad also enjoyed their meals. A unique touch: because my brother’s reservation profile was in French, we were given French menus and the servers spoke French with us. It was a thoughtful detail and made the evening feel more personal. The only downside was the gap between finishing dinner (around 9) and the start of the show (10). There’s not much to do in that hour, and the way tipping was handled was a bit awkward—a server placed a check presenter on our table with a verbal reminder that tips weren’t included. A simple printed note or discreet message would feel more professional. Overall, El Querandí delivers on the classic Buenos Aires tango dinner show experience. Go for the performance, enjoy the meal, and just know in advance that gratuity isn’t included.
Gille — Google review
A very well crafted Tango Show that takes you through the entire History of Tango. Since it’s inception at the end of the Nineteenth century until the late fifties. The stenography, the musicians and the dancers are very good and the atmosphere recreates the time. The only complaint is that the staff starts to dismantle the tables, glassware and cutlery before the show ends and that’s annoying and kills the momentum. Also the place where you’re sitting makes a whole difference try to get a place in the main saloon not in the right wing…
Javier G — Google review
The show was not as good as I expected, but it is still worth watching as it is one of the best cultural attractions in Buenos Aires and Argentina!
