French restaurant
La Maison Carrier is a charming French restaurant housed in a typical Savoyard-style chalet, offering a blend of traditional and contemporary cuisine. The cozy ambiance, with wooden beams and gingham tablecloths, evokes the feeling of dining at a French grandmother's chalet. Chef Cedric Nogueira skillfully prepares classic Haute-Savoie dishes with a modern twist, such as homemade boudin with pears and bacon potatoes, and Sichuan pepper sea bass.
Wonderful Christmas Eve meal! It was a fixed menu. The fois gras and white fish tartare were delicious. The guineafowl was cooked perfectly. The cheese cart and dessert bar was a lovely touch. One could pick what they wanted according to their taste. The proportions were generous too. The whole setup was so festive! The ambiance was refined cosy and lively. Absolutely recommend!
Lauren T — Google review
We went for a leisurely lunch and enjoyed every minute and each bite. The food is rustic and honest, yet refined. My son ordered the beef special which was incredible, absolutely delicious. I had the fish which was also very good. Every single thing we tasted was superb, the bread and butter, the starters, the wine by the glass, the dessert buffet. Staff was super friendly and was patient while my son practiced his French. If there’s one place you go for a nice meal, make it here.
Emily G — Google review
An amazing way to finish the holiday. A fine dining experience in a relaxed garden setting with beautiful food and lovely service. We both opted for the very reasonable daily 5 course menu - €59. Delicious. I would have paid more.
Arron B — Google review
All the staff at la Maison Carrier made us feel at home by their kindness to us. Their English was good which was lucky because our French is not so good. Our favourite main course was the trout ballotine with citrus fruits, artichoke and arugula pesto. It was melt-in-the-mouth and had a very punchy flavour. I had an entree which I adored that was egg, cream and cured meat. The serves were ample. We were recommended to the restaurant by our Airbnb host. The little extra things they gave us at the beginning and end of the meal were very tasty. As you no doubt realise from other reviews, they have an amazing dessert buffet called ‘Grandma’s tarts’ - all the French desserts you even dreamed of. People came into the restaurant looking serious but after the dessert buffet they were all smiling. I liked the fresh cherry tart and the oeuf en neige best. We felt the meal was good value.
Jillian C — Google review
Really got an alpine dine experience here. We ordered the mushroom cheese fondue, the veal appetizer, the sea bass and pork as main dishes, and used the dessert buffet. The ambience was really relaxed and luxurious at the same time.
Mary L — Google review
Absolutely beautiful garden setting. Delicious dinner and amazing dessert buffet. Highly recommend!
Nora Z — Google review
This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend. We made a reservation a week before. The restaurant is elegant. We ordered the prefix meal which came with the buffet dessert. The meals were expensive; however, the prefix special was a good deal. The desserts were delicious.
Catherine H — Google review
Got a recommendation for this place from a local. Absolutely wonderful experience. The building itself was rustic and full of alpine touches. The food was delicious and they were really generous with the servings. The semi-buffet of grandmother's pies for dessert was excellent. We were able to try multiple things. Service was also excellent.

Aux Petits Gourmands is a must-visit spot in Chamonix, offering delightful chocolates shaped like mini Monts Blancs and available in various packaging options. The patisserie also features an array of original flavored square chocolates named after the peaks of the Chamonix valley, along with delectable pastries and tarts.
Absolutely excellent desserts — I love them! This is a café chain I always make sure to visit. I highly recommend it. Prices are above average, but probably worth it. If you order takeaway, it’s about €2 cheaper.

Various delicious pastries, sweets, chocolate, coffee and juices. I recommend visiting it, but unfortunately it closes early at 7 pm. The service from the employees is excellent. They have outdoor seating. Remember that it is forbidden to feed the birds that hover around you.

A charming warm place with an absolutely great interior and delicious food. I took a quiche, it was great and enough to get full. The cakes look like a piece of art.
Anna I — Google review
Stop by to have a coffee, ordered coffee with chocolate! It's really great. We bought 8 pcs of cakes and cookies, all perfect because all cakes are well balanced in terms of sweetener and flavor! Suggest them to improve their services.... Dine-in of sweets will surcharge at around €2 per item than take away.

Huge selection of pastries, Bakery items and chocolates. Inside and outside seating. Great place to hang out for a few hours and try the delicious local pastries.
Christer B — Google review
We stopped by for coffee and pastries. The place was nice and the service was friend the coffee and pastries were okay. Overall, it was an average experience good for a quick stop.

Great coffee and delicious, beautifully decorated desserts. We ordered the chamouny (chocolate mousse and hazelnut) and the almonds & orange tartlet. We sat on the 2nd floor, it was cosy and the service was very friendly.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the tea room Aux Petits Gourmands in Chamonix. They have excellent pastries with wide choice. It is conveniently located on main street.

I went back here twice in a span of 4 days because it was amazing. The staff was so friendly and personable, the food is fresh and so tasty, and the drinks are creative with lots of local options. I would recommend this to anyone in the area who wants a good burger or just the vibes for a drink.
Eleni K — Google review
Came here for dinner and had a great time! The servers were especially attentive and considerate, and took great care to ensure that our needs were met. The food was delicious – we had the beef and chicken burgers at €19 each, overall we preferred the beef but both were good. The cauliflower starter was also very appetising and unique. A great spot for American cuisine in Chamonix.
Jonathan C — Google review
We just only had the burger with fries, it was a little bit expense but totally worth it. Burger patty was perfect and the combinacion with the sauce and bun made a really good burger. Fries are included and Mayonnaise and Ketchup are included and you can as much as you want. Service was really friendly and fast. And you can pay with card.

We ate fries and fries chicken and it was super delicious! Especially the fries were amazing with nice draft beer! Liked it so much

Rhyse is the owner and his brother-in-law makes the gluten-free buns. Rhyse is VERY knowledgeable about gluten-free issues and answered all of our questions with such a cheerful disposition! I had the Vegan Burger (and added bacon HA!). So yummy! Bighorn is off the beaten path and totally worth the "detour." And the gluten-free dessert...OMG!
Kate S — Google review
Food was great! Ordered the spicy fried cauliflower, peruvian chicken burger and the beef burger. Service was attentive and considerate as well☺️
Matthea L — Google review
Great bistro to have some burgers and beers. I'd seen that it has very positive reviews on google so we decided to give it a try. We tried the chicken fingers as a starter and they were really nice. They were served with a few sauces, one of which was spicy and really tasty. As a starter we ordered four burgers and try were really good. The quality of the meat was good along with the rest of the ingredients. The service was really good, the guy who served us was really nice and helped us with all out doubts. Very nice place in general for some american food. Take into account that depending on when you go they have different menus. We went at 3pm when they opened and options were a bit restricted but again everything was great. 100% recommend.

Ice cream shop
Chamonix's favorite ice cream shop, Chamon'Ice, offers creme bruler, fruity sorbet flavors for those who want a refreshing treat. The store is known for its delicious ice cream and excellent customer service.
I didn't expect to eat such good ice cream here! Pistachio ice cream is the best I've ever eaten. This ice cream is (i think so) made from real pistachio paste with pistachio pieces. I really recommend!
Marta — Google review
I recently tried a Snickers-flavored ice cream and found it to be quite underwhelming. If you’re accustomed to the quality of ice cream available in Paris—think Berthillon or Angiolo—you’ll likely find this one rather mediocre. The flavor was flat, the texture uninspired, and overall, it lacked any element of surprise or delight. It feels like the only reason this ice cream survives is due to a lack of strong competition in the area. It’s the kind of dessert that blends into the background—perfectly “fine,” but forgettable.
〚 〛 — Google review
Such a fun little spot! I had the tiramisu and crème brûlée flavors - never seen crème brûlée as an ice cream flavor before. The crème brûlée was good but a bit light on flavor. The tiramisu on a waffle cone was my favorite. Super tasty and worth the stop!
Nur E — Google review
Tasty gelato and you can get a waffle cup. They also give cute little steel spoons to eat with!
Miral P — Google review
Chamon’ice’s Gelato tastes very pure because the fat content of Gelato is about 4 to 8%, which is different from the 10 to 14% of ordinary American ice cream. In addition, due to rapid freezing, the air content of Gelato is more than half less than that of American ice cream. Most of the flavors are made with seasonal fresh fruits, and the taste is even more delicate and dense.
Ling C — Google review
Amazing ice-cream and the staff are always very friendly and accommodating for those who don't speak great French.
Jack G — Google review
I ate 2 times ice cream in Chamonix and the both in Chamon’ice. I love their spoon which is made by metal (not in plastic either paper) and the cup is made by waffle (like a cone but shape as cup). Priceworthy, the same price at all the ice cream store, but i love the metal spoon and friendly staff.
Zenith N — Google review
A bit too sweet for my taste. Flavors were basic, nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. Long lines, only one staff member, hence the waiting time is longer. They could work on that. Also the employees holds both money and cornets in same hands without any protection. Of course, I did not eat the cornet.

Poco Loco Burger, located in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France, is a popular spot known for its delicious and affordable burgers. Visitors have praised the nice service and quick delivery of their tasty meals. The restaurant's charming ambiance with lovely pictures on the tables adds to the overall dining experience. If you're looking for a place to enjoy great burgers at reasonable prices while exploring Chamonix, Poco Loco Burger is worth considering.
This place was a total vibe. Right on the main road of Chamonix and a great spot. The bread for the burgers were soooooo good! There is definitely a wait if you get there later in the night, but it was super worth it. We got this meal multiple times because the sandwiches were that flavorful. The staff is super young and highly energetic. The upstairs seating is just great pub style seating and fun. You can hang out outside and drink there as well. The food is well priced and filling. I would highly recommend this spot!
Raj S — Google review
I had the Spicy Kili and it was perfect. It is one of the best burgers I’ve had. What’s special about the burger here is the bread. It’s not your regular soft bun but a rustic/baguette type bread. The staff here are extremely friendly. When I first went there, there was a 40 minute wait time for your burger to be ready and no seats were available. So I skipped and returned the following day and was able to sit and dine immediately.
Dulaj S — Google review
Nice place to stop and eat. Really cool atmosphere especially for music lovers. They have great food. Flavor, portions and pricing are all good. They have indoor seating upstairs but I also see people stop and eat outside. My chicken sandwich was so yummy especially with siracha sauce.
Reece G — Google review
My family ate here all 3 days living in Chamonix. The burgers are tasty with unique and fresh bread. The owner says that the bread a fresh. They made them everyday in the early morning. The special of Poco Loco burgers are crunchy bread, that is different from soft breads of other burgers. It reminds me of “bánh mì” from Vietnam. The price is reasonable. The staffs are very friendly. The restaurant is very small and hot during summer. You can only eat in from 18.00. But I see most people eat outside or take away. The only minus point is about the kid menu. The first day, 5 pieces of fried chicken. The second day, 3 pieces. The third day, 2 pieces. That’s really weird! I highly recommend Poco Loco. My favorites are burgers Atlas and Latino. Chicken burger are better than beef burgers.
Minh H — Google review
Burgers were amazing! Fries were crispy and delicious 😋 We tried the hashbrown burgers, spicy and hot. They were humongous with a fresh baked bun that was good enough to eat alone. I would have liked to buy a dozen to take home. If you like a burger, dont miss this place. Its perfect for hungry TMB hikers.
Kelli M — Google review
Top quality burgers in Chamonix. It may be busy but it is worth the wait. It can get a bit cramped waiting in line when busy and gets busy outside with people waiting to collect their orders and standing eating there food. Great choice on menu.
Davie ( — Google review
Tiny spot for burgers and crepes to take away, although, I think they have some seating inside. I made a mistake to take the heaviest burger- double patty, hashbrown, reblochon. It was great, but too much for me. Girls behind the counter are lovely, great service.

Pastry House Richard is a charming patisserie in Chamonix, France that offers delightful pastries and treats. Visitors have raved about the exceptional croissants with a crisp exterior and pillowy interior, as well as the flaky chausson au pommes with wonderfully spiced apple filling. The sorbet from Richard's is also highly recommended, with flavors like peach, apricot, raspberry, and melon that are refreshing after long hikes.
Heaven of goodness in Chamonix. We ordered the classic flan and the blueberry version on our first time last autumn. This winter, we tried their myrtille tart and the vday treat! They sell bread too. Good price for high quality pastry. 😍

Amazing flavors. What a bakery. A bit snooty vibe. But fabulous food to go.
Nij C — Google review
Pastry House Richard is an absolute delight! The pastries are fresh, beautifully crafted, and full of flavor. Every item I tried was a perfect balance of sweetness and texture, showing great skill and care in preparation. The shop is welcoming and well-organized, making it a perfect spot for a treat or a coffee break. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Good ice cream, but even better pastries. Came by to buy a number of pastries and they were very fresh and reasonably priced, not to mention very aesthetically baked. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the queue moved quickly.
Jonathan C — Google review
I visited this bakery twice, and both times the experience was disappointing due to the behavior of the staff member working there. She was especially rude and unwelcoming towards Arabs and foreigners — basically anyone who is not French. This kind of discriminatory attitude is unacceptable in any service-oriented business. I strongly suggest replacing her with someone more professional and respectful to all customers, regardless of their background.
Abdulaziz A — Google review
One of the best croissants ive ever tried. Caramelized and chewy from the inside. Excellent pastries all around the menu especially the cookies.
Hamza B — Google review
Very delicious selections of pastries and sweets. I like the macarons and the pie.
Iman T — Google review
We had our nightly sorbet indulgence every night from Richards. FYI The ice cream/sorbet is open later than the pastries. We tried almost every flavor... And the winners were peach, apricot, raspberry, and melon. They all tasted fresh and were refreshing after long hikes. There was always a line but it moved quickly. The flavors have some rotation and weren't available every day, but there were always plenty to choose from.

Saw the window displays in this Cafe/Bakery from the Ski Bus window as the bus passed by in the morning. Went back as soon as possible! Delectable selections of sweet treats, fresh bread, fruit drinks, and excellent coffee. The staff are very nice and were friendly. One also was fluent in English and more than happy to speak it with me, which is very much appreciated if one is able… to help communicate. I enjoyed a Cafe Americano and two cakes… both were delicious! There is a seating area on the second floor, and two tables on the first floor. There is a toilet. Ensure to ask to help with selecting a cake slice or other items from the display case, and DO NOT pick them up yourself. A very nice place for coffee/sweets/and conversation. The ambiance is unbeatable! 😊 🇫🇷

Came here for tea, a petite little dual storey cafe with new view of the apls from thr 2nd floor seating. I was told the hot chocolate was very good, sp i tried, indeed not too bad, just l a ilttle too milky for me, but their coffee latte decaf was even better. Tried their macaroons and walnut tart, macaroons was a tinge too sweet for me and the tart was just an average. Overall, ain't a bad cafe to rest on a hot summer afternoon.

The mediterranean restaurant ELA in is culinary paradise for foodies. With mouth-watering dishes such as roasted chicken with molokani rice and succulent lamb shanks in a rich and creamy tagine, it's not hard to see why this place is such a hit. The friendly staff are always on hand to give recommendations, and the relaxed atmosphere means that you can comfortably enjoy your meal without stress.
Love this place! The falafel are just perfect. Super crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. Salads are delicious and all the sauces, too. Hummus is the winner! Staff are very friendly, and they can cater for gluten-free and veggie/vegan diets, which is not always easy to find! Definitely recommend. Will definitely come back :)

This spot is an 11/10. So amazing, truly a culinary gem. Unassuming and not touristy at all, genuinely one of the best Mediterranean spots I’ve had in a long time. Skip the tourist trap restaurants in the middle of town and come here. I’ve had the falafel wrap, the brisket wrap, and the chicken w tomatoes and fennel wrap and they were all amazing. Their bakery and coffee service is also spectacular. Get the cookie if they’re still available when you come in and the flat white . Unreal 🔥🔥🔥

We loved our lunch so much! All the wraps were absolutely delicious. I'm not normally a falafel girl, but I couldn't get enough! I don't even know where to start describing how awesome everything was - just go and try it :) As an added highlight, we really enjoyed meeting the chef Steph. He is very sweet and cares a huge deal about the quality of the food he serves. So lucky we chose this place for our lunch in Chamonix!

I got a chicken wrap with falafel and tzatziki, and safe to say, it was the best wrap I've ever tasted. The vegetables were perfect, the sauce was delicious, the bread was soft, the meat was flavorful, and the falafel was just decadent. Truly a spiritual experience eating it at the nearby field with the gorgeous mountains in the background. If you ever find yourself in Chamonix, I demand you to go here.

I ate here on Monday and it was absolutely incredible. I had the brisket bento box and it was faultless. The service was great and although quite pricey, it was worth every penny.

Côté Macarons is a charming boutique and tea salon located in Chamonix, France. The colorful window displays make it easily recognizable from the street. Inside, the decor is a blend of modern and antique chic, with small tables perfect for intimate gatherings. While macarons are their specialty, they also offer a variety of pastries and lunch options such as salads.
Amazing pastries and coffee. Great place for a morning or afternoon treat. Everything is fresh and delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Fair pricing.
Henry W — Google review
Ah the hazelnut eclair and flan tart were absolutely amazing. Quality execution and not cloying in the least. They have some tables in the back where they do a casual table service. It's quick and friendly. But the pastries are excellent.
Cristina R — Google review
This establishment should be rated MUCH higher. The macarons here are spectacular! Each flavor except apricot are vibrant and fun. The texture of the cookie is perfect. You can taste pieces of strawberry in the fraise cookie and savory the richness of the chocolate in the choclat one. The croissants here are an amazing value and probably the best I've had. The bread filled with chocolate and cream is a great breakfast sweet wake up. You really can't go wrong here in pricing or flavors.
Michael B — Google review
Very nice service in a beautiful place! I highly recommend it :) Delicious macaroons, reasonable price. If I'm ever in Chamonix again, I'll definitely come back to this place.
Marta — Google review
Awesome place! Very tasty macaroons and merengue. Very helpful and polite staff. Would come back for more of their goodies
Alex S — Google review
Private cafe at the back but personally felt the pastries were not up to standard compared to other cafes on the same street. My cinnamon roll was dry and we didn’t finish them. Coffees were decent.
Dan T — Google review
Just amazing. Fantastic selection of macaroons and really unexpected flavours. The place is lovely decorated. They also serve up a great selection of other desserts, very unique and well crafted. Not very expensive either, which is great. They also serve coffee and teas in the back.

I discovered this charming salon de thé while visiting Chamonix, France. A very pleasant surprise with good coffee and delicious homemade ice cream, you must try the one called Mont blanc with macaroon cream and Chantilly, yummy! It has quality products, great service and customer service is friendly with tourists, a fine experience for affordable budgets.

Cafe
Le Petit Social is a charming café located in an upscale area of Chamonix, often referred to as the Beverly Hills of the town. The café offers delightful coffee served with homemade almond biscuits and provides the option to enjoy your drink indoors or outdoors with views of the La Flegere lift.
As I’m typing this, I’m lounging in a cozy corner, grooving to their epic playlist. Came here with the fam, found a snug spot, and then—plot twist—we made some new friends. Yep, a couple of bees 🐝 crashed the party and, naturally, this led to a full-blown dance-off around the table. Totally planned, obviously. Hopefully, the lady working on her laptop wasn’t too distracted by our graceful moves. Now, let’s talk food: their croissants, both chocolate and strawberry, looked sweet but were just the right amount of deliciousness without the sugar rush. And get this—they gave us water in a bottle, *for free!* In Switzerland, where even breathing might have a fee, this was a delightful shock. I know, I know… it’s part of their service, but still! So, yeah, I’d totally recommend this place. The staff is friendly, and bonus points—they speak English!
SIR M — Google review
This place is really great especially in a neighborhood that’s lacking cafes and bars of the sort. I only stayed nearby for a night and wish I could pack it up and take it with me!
Chris — Google review
Very cool spot to grab morning coffees and baked goods or come for apres at night. Croissants and cappuccino were great and decor is on point for a ski town. This was my go to spot while staying in La Praz!
Liz P — Google review
We were here before the beginning of Happy Hours on a Sunday, and the place is popping! They have a few tables on the side of the road, and they are very popular seats. Inside decoration is pop + mountain sports photos, quite nice! Their drinks are reasonably priced, staff is friendly. I just wish they have more snacks or finger food on the menu, in addition to 3 kinds of paninis.
Andrea — Google review
Great atmosphere , good for a beer at the end of your day on the mountains, but, hey if i come hungry at 16.30-17 you can’t tell me it is too early to have anything else than popcorns
Claudia O — Google review
Awesome little bar and a great value happy hour (€4 a pint). Lovely staff and great food too. Highly recommended and so much better than some of a faceless bars down in town.

If you plan to ski or hike near Flégère, this spot is great for breakfast. The coffee and croissants are 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Plus the views

Very nice and friendly staff. Great pastries, we had a croissant and a Pain au chocolat. Then the brought in freshly baked cinnamon buns that were equally amazing! Highly recommend a visit!

The Au Nougat du Mont-Blanc cake shop is a lovely place with plenty of choices. The prices are correct, and the seller is very friendly. The cakes here are delicious, and they're a great value. I highly recommend this shop!
Yummy macaroons!! Opted for this little shop as they look homemade and the shop seemed authentic. Macaroons are so tasty and not overly sweet, size is bigger than your usual ones, son absolutely love the chocolate version but I prefer the fruity ones. I even came back for more and the lovely owner was so generous he gave me an extra macaroon!! Speaks decent English as well, he can describe all the flavours and the chocolates. Definitely recommend!!
Cher W — Google review
Ummm... The confections here are well priced, homemade and really delicious. The shop has antiques giving a historic feel. The owner/chocolatier was so kind. I recommend getting an assortment of both the chocolates and macarons. The raspberry filled chocolate was my favorite. *Mind Blown* 🤯

Bakery
The Le Fournil Chamoniard bakery in Chamonix offers delicious bread and pastries, made with traditional recipes. This delightful shop is popular with tourists who enjoy the taste of France.
We love this place! We’ve been to a lot of pastry shops nearby, and this is our absolute favorite. We strongly recommend the Quiche Lorraine, but anything we’ve had here has been delicious!
Adam J — Google review
If you’re tourist and don’t speak French better avoid this place. Dark hair girl working there on Saturday morning has bad attitude and literally rolling her eyes. Not pleasant and rude. But Pastries are nice and tasty
Ernesta V — Google review
Love love love this bakery. A must for every morning in Chamonix. We’d pop in for our croissants and coffee in the morning and pick up a couple of sandwiches for lunch on the slopes. Never spent over €10. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Canadian, nutty based pastry with maple syrup. Staff are really friendly and muddled through our dodgy french with aplomb. Please go, you won’t be disappointed. Way cheaper than buying food on the slopes.
David R — Google review
This is a fantastic bakery with pastries, croissants etc., pre-made baguettes and coffee. We bought quite a variety of items from this bakery during our one week stay in Chamonix and we liked everything.

Great place to stop and grab a bite. Free parking in front a reasonable prices. Really nice staff. Good selection of organic stuff as well. Right next to aguille du midi

What a charming little bakery! Extremely polite staff, great variety of dishes. I'm not a fan of pies but their Mont Blanc pastry was really well done. Also loved the muffins - really soft, fresh, and the perfect amount of sweet.

The best Gelato I have ever had. I will be back for more tomorrow. Was perfect after hiking down from the Gondola.

Ice cream is very good, coffee is also good, but I was very disappointed that they serve it in paper cups and dishes. As a result, it gives very fast food impression (a shame for such good quality food otherwise), not to say lots of waste. Would be very happy to see this place switch to regular cuttlery
Olesya P — Google review
Their gelato is simply divine, offering a wide range of irresistible flavours. The presentation is a work of art, with the gelato crafted into beautiful flower shapes. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service, making your visit even more enjoyable

Great gelato and crepes in this beautiful place, besides that, the professional service received from Aysel and Meva was fantastic, thanks a lot for correcting mi French and being so nice! 😊
Paul C — Google review
The ice cream was super tasty! However, the service was slow and the coffee very mediocre. Also, no WC in the store 😢
Dimitrios S — Google review
This was the first time I try it, it was amazing, I was impressed by Nïa and her amazing service, store full and she was working by herself and didn’t take long. Very efficient and polite

Best gelato spot for pretty rose shaped gelato, all natural ingredients (chocolate didn’t taste too sweet while lemon had the right amount of citrus), unlimited flavours you can choose and with mountain views 🥹 Zuhre served us and was super friendly and patient when our Amex card got declined. Would definitely be back!
