Everything was a hit & you can tell it’s not made from a box. During this stressful time he made it so easy to communicate & helped bring our ideas to life better than we could have imagined. Hired cakabakery for my wedding on 11/2/2024. We did a wedding cake and then a dessert board consisting of cupcakes, brownies, and cookies!!! They did wonderful!!!! Everyone loved the dessert and our cake turned out beautiful!!!

Went to the farmers market nearby and stopped here today on a whim because it looked interesting from the outside. The term hidden gem is the best way I can think to describe this place. The cupcakes looked amazing and had so many interesting flavors (we ended up getting half a dozen to try them all because we couldn’t decide on just one). I ended up talking to the owner who was super friendly and welcoming. He and the other employee made us feel right at home, like we had known each other for years. He told us they change out the cupcake flavors everyday so you can always try something new. And they were making them from scratch as we were in there so you know that they’re fresh. We tried a cookie on the way out and when I tell you that it was the best damn cookie I’ve ever had in my whole life, that’s not an exaggeration. Still haven’t tried the cupcakes yet, but I’m very excited! I bet they’re going to be just as amazing as they look. I also saw that they do custom cakes. They looked beautiful. I don’t have any events that warrant a cake, but it almost makes me want to go around my friend group to see who has a birthday coming up just to have an excuse to try one.

This bakery is amazing! I’ve been in here plenty of times for their out of this world fresh bread, scones, cookies and more. Recently, I ordered a strawberry cheesecake for my friend’s birthday and it was PHENOMENAL!! Literally the BEST cheesecake I’ve ever had. A must stop when we are passing thru Grand Rapids. Drop off savory croissants for our hosts, and pickup the best almond biscotti. All items are delicious fresh, flakey, and the mammoth cookies are great to share.

Visiting the area and found this gem delicious ham and Gruyère croissant super friendly from the moment I walked in owner I assume was super friendly and kind and informative. And of course caught him going above and beyond outside offering to take a picture of the girls lol after you grab the baked goods make sure to stop by next door for some delicious matcha

We used Nantucket for our wedding pies, as well as some snacks while we were getting ready. Everything was delicious and so reasonably priced! Jenna was great to work with!

Ordered my favorite macarons for my bridal shower and they were such a hit! Everything was boxed carefully and ready on time for pick up! Great overall experience! The little towers are adorable. Can’t wait to order more for our wedding.

BEST place to get macarons!💗 They always offer amazing flavors and varieties and are consistently delicious. Their shop is adorable too and a great place to meet friends or co-workers. I had an iced latte when I was in last time and it tasted like heaven. I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is and if it was in my neighborhood I would just hand my paychecks over because their macarons are so good 🤣

I was very disappointed with the macarons I purchased. They are a guilty pleasure of mine so I ordered a pack of 12 for $30 plus 2 single cookies for my son. I ordered 10 flavors in total and was very disappointed by the lack of flavor. As a baker with a lot of experience baking macarons, it was surprising that such a lovely establishment served such bland cookies. Most of them tasted the same (typical almond flavor of macarons) with no variation aside from the colors. Even the passion fruit cookie was bland and lacked any fruit flavor. The cookies were also hollow…every single one. For anyone familiar with baking macarons this is a big failure! For $2.50 a cookie I think these are way overpriced. These would have been “oops” cookies in my kitchen and wouldn’t be served let alone charged for. While they were pretty, they were also pretty disappointing. These staff was very friendly though and the establishment itself was very charming a cute.

Le Bon Macaron is like stepping into a little slice of French heaven right in Grand Rapids. The atmosphere is charming and calm, and everything about it from the delicate displays to the friendly staff feels thoughtful and warm. The macarons are the real star, of course: perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with a range of flavors that range from classic to creative seasonal options that are always worth trying. You can tell they care about the quality and craft of what they do. Whether I’m picking up a gift or just treating myself, this place never misses. It’s one of those rare spots that makes your day better just by walking in.

I love this shop, and I'm so glad we have delicious macarons in town! I didn't actually think I liked macarons until I tried them here (no one else local does them this well). The only place I've had better was in France. I highly recommend ordering for a wedding or baby shower or stopping in with friends/kids to try all of the great flavors and drinks.

My favorite macarons EVER. I have not found a macaron that beats these. The flavors are so fun and I love how every time you go there is a different options to choose from. They also have amazing lattes. Love this little business they deserve 20 stars!

A gem of a place for coffee and macaron. Molly & Natalie were great, she made the perfect Macchiato , good service. Raspberry chocolate macaron is delicious, when you take that first bite , it feels so good, crisp on the outside and soft inside, right balance of sugar and flavor. Great spot !!

One of the BEST bakeries around Kentwood…. Pricey, yes but the taste of these beautifully crafted cupcakes is soooo worth it…. So scrumptious in a variety of flavors that are rotated. Even my dog loved his pupcake. I rather spend my money here than buying cheap, bland tasting cupcakes at a supermarket.

These were a huge hit! You could taste all the flavors and they weren’t overly sweet. Very much enjoyed by all! The pup cake was swallowed whole And not a sprinkle spared.

There were only two flavors to pick from granted it was almost closing time. Cup cake frosting has absolutely no flavor. So I never made it to the cake part of it because I lost interest.

Holy cow! These are AMAZING!!! The frosting is the perfect amount of sweetness and cake is so moist. We got a variety of the April Fools cupcakes, plus the two wheat free flavors of the week.

Since moving to GR almost a year ago, this has definitely become my favorite spot to get a sweet treat! I’m very picky about my ice cream, but I like theirs because it tastes fresh. They rotate the flavors a lot, and my absolute favorite is Cookie Monster, it is the best ice cream I’ve ever had!!! The waffle cones are amazing, too! I come here wayyyy too much, but I’m not gonna stop anytime soon…

The ice cream was great, the service was also great, and the fellowship was even better! I’d definitely return with friends again for the ice cream. I would say that the atmosphere could be better- I did visit in May, so maybe it’s a little rough looking in spring and gets better in the summer? I’d have to revisit to check it out- because it just seemed a little worn down. The idea is good- a back patio with some vines and decent seating, but it was a bit overgrown with a lot of dead leaves all over the ground. I recognize it’s outside, but it’s line visiting an elder person’s home- one where they’re struggling to take care of it, you know? But the ice cream! It’s good. Very tasty. The ship overall is quaint and I’d definitely like to try it again.

I got the peanut butter Oreo in a milkshake and it was so good! It was a little over priced and we had to wait in line for about 20 minutes. The ice cream was great but for the price I’m iffy!

Consistently rude service. I go to Furniture city regularly, because I like their ice cream, but the attitude you receive when you walk in is unwelcoming. One employee in particular glares at customers and gives uncalled for snarky responses. I was behind an elderly couple that couldn't hear them properly, and the employee proceeded to speak to them loudly and slowly in such a condescending manner. It's insulting the way they speak to customers. I have seen them roll their eyes when customers walk in, and you always feel like you as the customer are interrupting or imposing when you walk in. They also have a terrible system where there are usually two employees working but only one person scooping ice cream. I will happily go to The Parlor instead.

This place is quickly becoming my favorite ice cream shop in Grand Rapids :) Their ice cream is so creative and has such a culinary flair! Today I got lavender and blueberry cobbler out of their rotating flavors 💙

Cute spot with a solid range of ice cream, including a couple of vegan options (which I think rotate). When I went, they had trans joy and vanilla. Both were good, but definitely leaned more sorbet-like than super creamy. The line was way too long for what it was, but my friends got other flavors and were fans. They also can make anything into a shake but it’s definitely a little more pricey.

The chocolate was absolutely amazing and some of the best I have ever had! The ice cream was also fantastic and they had a wide variety of delicious items, ranging from truffles, to ice cream, to chocolate pastries and cookies. I will definitely be coming back to buy more and I highly recommend stockpiling on sweets when you stop by, because you will not want to run out of it!!!

The most decadent little dessert shop in all of the land! I have yet to find anything like it, anywhere really. The owner is fantastically friendly, making each visit feel like a casual chat with a friend. Mokaya is my “go to” spot for grabbing a 6 pack of chocolates for birthday gifts, along with a 2 pack for myself, of course. Everyone is always delighted to receive them. The refrigerated desserts are divine as well. Highly recommend the crème brûlée. As for chocolates…get the Thai basil! Or the cayenne pepper! Or the cherry key lime! You must try them all :)

This place was pretty spectacular. We went on a memory journey through Grand Rapids and hit Jersey Junction to have some ice cream. It was great to see all the psychic candies and the service with fantastic.

One of my go-to ice cream places. I don't even need to explain, every local knows this place. The serving is a lot as you can see in the pictures (compared to the cup), and the price is fair and reasonable in my opinion. I always love the combo of watermelon sherbet and belgian cookie butter (?), thats my all time go to. And I do need to emphasize this again but the portion is huge, so their small one is not quite so small actually (at least for me). The selection is wide, and every cup can get at least 2 flavors, I'm not quite sure but that's what I have been doing, 2 flavors per cup regardless of its size. I like how they have vegan friendly options as well. As for the service and wait time, I have read a lot about how the wait is extremely long and how sometimes the service is "bad", in all my visits to this place, I can see that yes the wait line could be long but not quite bad, I mean I have been in a longer line before and to be honest, if you cant wait and feel that its a waste of time then just go to another place, they only have so many people to serve everyone so it's understandable about the line. And also, if you're a local, you would know about this place always have a long line and should be prepared to wait. The service has always been good to me, I mean they're busy all the time and truly just wanna get things right so sometimes I could see why some behaviors might come across as harsh/straightforward but not to the point of being rude. I stutter sometimes when I'm nervous and my accent becomes stronger when that happens, but they always patiently listen and ask again if they dont quite catch my orders. There are places to sit, both inside and outside, and also available restroom to use. I like the rowdy atmosphere in general, definitely not for everyone in some aspects but just try it out.

I love this place so much and I have been going here since I was a little kid and would always get the amazing chocolate monster. One down side is that it is very expensive compared to other ice cream shops but I know that they need to pay their kind employees and pay for the ice cream so I understand. I would give it 100000000/10 stars if I could. Amazing place

Jersey Junction is a fun tradition for our family! Great place. Chris VanAllsburg started this lovely nostalgic ice cream and candy shop. Kids of all ages enjoy the model train that travels above eye level around the small shop. Sit in the vintage school desks while you wait, or take in the historical photos and newspaper clippings adorning the walls. So much history about Ramona Park, the Park that used to be on Reeds Lake where John Collin’s Park is now. (This is a vote to bring back Ramona Park!) There is also a deck with seating and a bench just below under a tree. The bike rack is often full of kid and adult bikes! Have you read or seen The Polar Express? Chris VanAllsburg’s son, also named Chris, created the story and the book and movie both have references to Grand Rapids. This train is sorta like the first Polar Express! There is a seating area & tiny restroom up one step, next to the staff waffle-making goodness.m. Unfortunately, the restrooms paper towels are not accessible for those with some disabilities (or shorter patrons). Because of the historically small size of the shop, the restroom itself is also small, unable to accommodate wheelchairs or walkers well. **The Starbucks a few shops down has a wheelchair accessible one in the back parking lot, or the D&W across the street.** All in all, it’s a darling ice cream shop with old charm and the young staff were professional and courteous. They even offered our group a “pup cup” for the dog on the very hot day. Umbrellas weren’t out and would be helpful in 100* heat, however! Thanks for all these years of fun, Jersey! We get excited for April 1st when you open for the season!

Jersey Junction is adorable and the ice cream is delicious. I love this place because the service is outstanding! I was there recently with my elderly grandfather and he had a slight stumble and fall outside- Ava and the other young woman working rushed outside to offer assistance. They were so caring and kind. My grandfather was 100% ok and loved the ice cream. A million stars. Give this place all the business!

One of my absolute fav ice cream shoppes! They have a TON of options! I like how they offer cute, fun drink/treat options as well! I want to come back to try this sprite float they were promoting soon! I got a double scoop in a waffle cone… and OMG YALL!!! 😂😭🫣 TELL ME WHY this was dang near a PINT of ice cream!! 😅 Not complaining! Lol Was pleasantly was surprised! I got the chocolate (ofc), and a heaping scoop of Carolina peach. OMG the peach was UNREAL. Perfect amount of peach, with little frozen peach chunks that were perfection! I highly suggest…. But if you do want any advice, ask for a cup or two when you order a dbl scoop in a waffle cone! You’ll thank me later! 🍦

Greatest place around to get bread! Love their pastries even more. however they are much better when reheated if they’ve been out rather than eating after buying. I would love to see if they could, one day, be able to reheat them behind the counter at the bakery so I could have them right then and there. Please for the love of bread— BRING BACK THE RIGHTEOUS CROISSANT! I loved that one! Never have craved a croissant like that before.

This is a lovely spot to visit at the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. The gal today was very friendly and enthusiastic about the breads she was selling. She told us all about the sample bread, Righteous Seed, which is a darker bread with poppyseeds along with sesame and fennel seeds, Oh my! YUM! We decided to to shop a bit and then get a loaf on our way out, since there were several loaves left. When we came back, there was only a half loaf left but it was better than not having any! We shall be back!

They are located inside the farmers market. They recently moved to a smaller station at the front. We visited in the afternoon on a Wednesday. We got an Apricot pastry, ham and cheese, and a loaf of bread. The person running it was extremely nice and friendly! Gave us ideas on stuff to do around town. Will definitely be back!

I love their croisants and love their bread. But I don't like flies... In this photo there are 2 big flies comfortably sitting on pastry and there are about a dozen little fruit flies that are everywhere. I have seen these flies here on several occasions in August and even asked their workers why there were flies sitting on the pastry. It seems people working there are chill and relaxed about insects at their bakery. I guess the workers feel compassionate for the hungry insects... But if seriously, I hope they can fix this, I would be glad to get back one day! They need those blie light zappers killing flies. I haven't seen any!

Loved stopping in here and trying our their churro cruffin and their bread. Both absolutely amazing. Everybody was really sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. We are very appreciative.

The breads here are delicious! I haven't had a baked good I didn't like. The texture and tastes are on point. This location is inside the indoor market place.

I got a multigrain loaf of bread. It's heavy and has a nice chewy crust. The inside is soft and moist. Loved it! Wish I loved closer so I could buy bread here more often.

Quite the dining experience in Grand Rapids. The view was incredible - and the restaurant is designed to give almost every seat a view (very impressive!) Tapas style dishes were extremely flavorful. Perhaps not fully authentic but not in a bad way - their twist on Spanish food is quite a good take. Drinks were fantastic as well. Definitely will go back - albeit likely for a special occasion.

Best views in Grand Rapids. I absolutely loved this very chic restaurant. The flamenco reserva drink was so refreshing. The food presentation was a surprise. Very beautiful and explosion of flavors in your mouth. We really enjoyed the appetizers, we ordered the wild boar empanadas very tasty. We absolutely loved the spiced ginger carrots. So flavorful with a hint of spicy in it. The pepino salad was a nice surprise if you love pickled foods. The only reason I gave a 4 rating was because the Wagyu steak lacked flavor. The limon dessert Wowww what a fun experience! so delicious!!! Overall we had an amazing experience and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Very romantic. Our reservation was at 7:00 p.m. so the Sun was shining very strong on our table. They do have shades if needed. Our waiter Jeff was so knowledgeable. He explained every single entree with every detail. He did a great job. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. We ordered a nice bottle of tempranillo overall our bill was not a shocker. About $300 for the spanish amazing experience. Worth every penny.

It's a really amazing place. I took my wife here for our anniversary and our server Brandon was amazing. The food was delicious, and we were both ready to explode from how full we were. They had our table ready and it even had a very nice hand made sign that said happy anniversary. Amazing place.

One of my favorite restaurants to celebrate a special occasion. Food, service, and views are always great. Menu changes often though. I am sad they got rid of their beef tartar tapas and dry age ribeye steak entree. This time around we ordered the pork belly tapa, patatas bravas tapa, octopus tapa, waygu steak entree, and pork chop entree. It was a lot of food for two people so we had leftovers.

Me and my friends have been here at many times, and every time the owner treats us badly, is really rude and stand off ish- but only when the women come. When the men in our group come by themselves, they have no issues at all. Even the men said our group get treated rudely when the women come with. I don’t what his problem is, but it seems like he truly only likes his old regulars and is never in the mood for non regulars, especially women, to come in. Very inhospitable.its not wonder it’s always dead and NOT vibing when we go.

RUNNNNNN! It stinks, it’s dirty, it’s dark, it’s ugly and the female who was working around 2:30pm on Fri, 26 July 2024 has the nastiest disposition one who works in customer service could have. I walked in, the miserable haggard behind the bar didn’t speak despite the fact that I did several times. I asked for a margarita, she mumbled, “I guess” and some other choice, negative, surly words. I asked her to repeat herself, she repeated the, “I guess” part and honestly, that was enough for me to tell her where she could put the drink, her funky attitude and that hole in the wall that needs disappear. Florentine’s is across the street and has decent food. Go there — go to Timbuktu — go anywhere besides this place.

It's a local watering hole (meant in the beat way) and the cutest little dive bar. It has well poured drinks that won't break the bank and is open until 2am. It's super chill, not judgmental, and the type of place where everyone knows everyone else. There is no food but you can bring in outside food.

We just moved to the area couple months ago and stumbled on this place. Lori is our favorite server and we’ve gotten lucky to have her the past few times. If you’re looking for a small bar with inexpensive drinks, pool, and a great atmosphere—this is the place to be. Bob the owner is so sweet and kind, walked up to us during a game of pool to introduce himself. This is now our go to bar and we’re regulars <3

Roses is located in gaslight village next to the boat launch. The scenery around the place is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Open the kitchen so you can see them cooking. Coat hooks on the ends of every booth. They have an inclosed patio, which also has ceiling fans to help when its hot. The restaurant is stunning. Now the food, it did not take our breath away. My friend got the mac and cheese, and she said it's the worst she had ever had. It didn’t have a cheese flavor to it. It's more like butter and light herbs. My angel hair pasta was good for the most par. It had cured meat in it tho and wasn't the best. Kids portions were small like maybe 5 yr old small. The deserts were fantastic tho.Overall, it was a nice experience, but the food just wouldn't get us back.

Always a great place to eat. Kay, our server was beyond EXCELLENT in all the ways; thank you Kay! Waited at bar until a table opened up outdoors. We kindve felt invisible for a good 10 Minutes however. Took a lot to get a drink even tho there were only 4 other ppl sitting at bar. Bar backs too busy making/pouring drinks for restaurant I'm thinking. More help, or at very least, quicker acknowledgement of our presence would have made all the difference. Bartenders seemed very stressed.

First time going here. The food was great. It was surprising the kids chicken tenders only came with two. The wall eye was great, the atmosphere & service were great. There were ants on the windowledge behind my seat but they didn’t interfere with me. The creme brûlée was really good too. It’s right on the lake so it’s fun to go walk around after. Would definitely go back.

I chose this restaurant for my birthday and we started with the wrong foot. My sister made a reservation and the hostess didn't have it on their system, so we just had to wait for a couple of minutes while they prepared our table. Once the restaurant door closed it made a loud noise and that was part of our soundtrack every time a customer walked in. 😳 Rather unpleasant. The venue was dark and the music was gloomy. I started with the lobster bisque and it was perfection, so good! I tried the lobster bites and they were a tad too salty for me. For main course I ordered the beef Wellington with mushrooms and mashed potatoes on the side, it was nice. Drinks were delicious and the 6 desserts I tried were amazing. Probably the best desserts I've had in town. The service was good. I'd suggest to take care of the musty odor coming from I believe the carpet on the lower floor I noticed on my way to the bathroom, which was impeccable.

I have lived all over the country and have eaten in fine dining establishments from coast to coast. This was probably the best service I have ever had. I'm here to tell you, it is an experience! The wait staff are complete professionals at what they do, with detailed knowledge of their delicious menu. They present the food in a choreographed manner that was just delightful to witness. The atmosphere is what you'd expect - dimly lit, tastefully decorated modern dining room. The food was delicious. My steak and lobster were both perfectly seasoned and cooked. The scalloped potatoes were to die for, I would come back just to eat those! All in all, a wonderful dining experience. Do remember this is obviously a very expensive place, think $300+ for two people. But worth it to splurge every so often if you can, I think! Highly recommended.

My husband and I came here for him to try Beef Wellington and to celebrate our anniversary. I thought it was sweet they had flower petals on the table for us. I did not like how dark it was, but it wasn’t horrible. My husband said the scallops were amazing, the beef in his beef Wellington seemed not to be seasoned and the peanut butter dessert he got was delicious. I enjoy the lamb, a pumpkin martini and the espresso cake! Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive. We also liked the tablet menus that you could tap the item to see a picture and information on the items. Absolutely recommend for anyone questioning trying!

The steak lacked depth of flavor and wasn’t as tender as I expected. As someone who has had extensive experience with Wagyu in Asia, I was particularly excited to try it here — but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The texture was limp rather than melt-in-your-mouth, and there was more sinew and gristle than I’d expect from a high-grade cut. For the price point, I was hoping for a more memorable dining experience. Still, it’s a pleasant spot if you’re looking for great service and a vibrant setting.

Probably the best textbook steakhouse in downtown GR. Steaks were spot on, service was both entertaining and professional, and it nails the dimly lit old timey steak time atmosphere.

I lived here in Grand rapids for 10 years and always heard about Marge's Donuts Den. This morning, unexpected circumstances took me there. I actually had the privilege of meeting Marge and her very professional and welcoming staff. 50 years of business!! It was so refreshing to walk into an "old school" donut shop, get the BEST donut, coffee and service for under $5.00!! I was amazed at how clean it was and fresh everything is! I don't think I'll ever go to a donut chain ever again! I like to say Thank you Marge and your friendly staff for helping me hit the reset button a on very chaotic morning ! Kindeness is a lot art!

I went off season (no outdoor activities involved) and was so impressed by this little gem in Grand Rapids. The donuts were beautifully soft and so satisfying. Additionally, everyone at the wine cellar was so friendly and so helpful. Though very sweet, I loved their recommendations, and I’m so glad I bought bottles to share of their peach Spumante. They did offer a discount if you buy 4+ bottles. Also, loved hearing that their wines support local MI farmers as all the fruit used for the fruit wines comes from MI farms.

Robinette’s never disappoints! The apples are always crisp and fresh, the cider is the best around, and the warm homemade donuts are worth the trip alone. I also love stopping for a wine tasting,it’s such a fun and cozy experience. The employees here are truly wonderful. On my last visit, I couldn’t find a specific apple variety, and one of the staff not only walked me right to them but also took the time to explain the differences between a few others I might like. That kind of thoughtful service makes you feel so welcomed.♥️♥️♥️♥️

Mid-sized apple orchard. They have a few children’s activities but not as much as some of the others in the area. We did the horse drawn wagon ride and that was very nice. The petting zoo was just a few animals in individual pens. The donuts line was way too long. It seems they could have a better process for it. No other lines outside of that. They only had one type of apples for U-pick and it was $25 per bag. We couldn’t bring the children in with us for the wine tasting. There was a small slide and a jumping pillow. The jumping pillow was for children over 3 so we didn’t participate as one of our little ones was only 2. It seems like a great place to spend an afternoon if you live in the area however, not exciting enough for our annual fall weekend trip.

Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery was the perfect weekend spot for my family. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt open, clean, and well cared for. We brought our dog along and were pleasantly surprised that he was allowed to join us outside. The outdoor seating area was beautiful — surrounded by trees and open space, it made for a peaceful, relaxing meal. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious, though a bit on the salty side for our taste. Still, the flavors were fresh and satisfying. The combination of great service, scenic surroundings, and family-friendly policies made this a memorable visit. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Robinette’s to other families (especially those with dogs) looking for a relaxing place to enjoy good food, local wine, and a beautiful outdoor setting.

Honestly a little disappointed. Just seems your whole business is a little dishonest. Your pies packed in your boxes are just GFS pies and your coffee here, while good, is marked with a wonderful from Michigan sticker making it seem local. It’s from Wisconsin. Again, great coffee but the negative review is more so with how you’re marketing yourself with less than honesty and it seems a bit shady.

It’s so fun to be in the city and drive about 10 min and be at an apple orchard. This place is busy busy on weekends but that’s how it goes. If you don’t like crowds, don’t come on the weekends. They have the best tasting donuts and cider and yummy chocolate wine! We go cherry picking in the summer and their nectarines are to die for! The ROBINETTES are so friendly and will answer any question you might have. They’ve been around since 1911 and hope they will be around for another 100 years. Love you guys

Dear Max’s, your staff, food, and drink, plus ambiance were amazing! I make it a point to visit tiki bars when travelling. While visiting family in Ohio I dragged my dad here from Toledo on a Thursday night. (what a drive and a half) The servers were a pair of young ladies, one gal had a Rum Rum, my darling shirt from the High roller tiki lounge/ Bettie Page rum from out in California which I immediately recognized, and thought was pretty badass! I didn’t realize the owners also had a SF location which explained a lot of the items I saw around the place 😊 Either way the food was superb! The portions were huge, and I wish I could have tried more. The drinks were top notch and again I wish I had a bigger stomach to try more. The servers hooked up my dad with a taste of a rum that they thought he would enjoy, since he’s a bourbon guy and it was both generous and thoughtful! I was absolutely exhausted by the end, and I regret not exploring the upstairs ( which we were invited to check out several times). I am not sure If they had any souvenirs for sale, nor did I see a swizzle… but I got a couple post cards for my tiki cabinet.

This place seems like an oasis in a concrete city. If you ever wanted to go to a tropical environment and have a few drink drinks and maybe a few appetizers or food, this is your place. The staff was very friendly when we were greeted at the door and they continued to be friendly while serving us. They were friendly and helpful with giving advice on drinks and I imagine food if we had done so. I will say the drinks were strong. I am not complaining. I’m just letting people know. If you wanna get the most bang for your buck, this is definitely one of your stops. They had a wide variety of beverages to choose from. I am sure you will find something that will wet your pallet. The interior is unique in a way that you might not expect. It has multiple floors. The upstairs has a full see-through aquarium, which was very unexpected. The main floor has the bar along with little private cabana type rooms you get seated in for a small party. Overall, this place will be somewhere I come back to and try additional beverages or maybe some food.

As a tiki connoisseur, this has to be one of the best tiki bars I’ve ever been to. It’s on par with Three Dots and a Dash in Chicago and Tiki Tatsuya in Austin. This place might as well be part museum/exhibition of high tiki art. There’s a large collection of numbered Shag prints hanging casually on the way to the bathrooms, for example. I will be coming back here each and every time I’m in Grand Rapids or else I will have a temper tantrum and become inconsolable. In fact, I will travel to GR again just to visit Max’s. Also, make sure everyone at the table gets a bread pudding, otherwise fighting will ensue over bites. I loved this spot 💗🍹

Love's catered the dessert for our wedding and I'm so happy they did! We knew from the start of planning that we wanted to serve ice cream for dessert, but we weren't sure we would have room in the budget for someone to scoop on site. Just two weeks before our big day, we reached out to Love's for a quote and booked right away! Maya was so easy to work with and thoroughly answered ALL of my questions. The guests loved the ice cream and wished we had booked them for longer, so they could go up for seconds! Booking with Love's was one of our favorite decisions we made!

We chose Love's to be the dessert option at our wedding this past May and it was such a hit! Their team was extremely helpful and responsive leading up to the big day and made hiring them a breeze. On the actual wedding, they were so professional and fun and the ice cream is always amazing! Our guests have not stopped talking about how delicious it was and how fun it was to have the ice cream cart there. Highly recommend using Love's for your next event. :)

While visiting family, we went to the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. After dinner, we stopped at Love’s Ice Cream & Chocolate for dessert. They have vegan options as well as regular ice cream. The vegan Coconut Fudge Ripple was excellent and the vegan Dark Chocolate is fantastic! Our family had regular ice cream and tells me that it is also fantastic. I highly recommend Love’s Ice Cream & Chocolate.

We had an ice cream sundae bar at our wedding a few weeks ago and it was such a hit! As the bride, I was so busy dancing and chatting that I completely missed it and didn't eat any, however, I know a lot of people did and loved it! Love's was probably a top ice cream shop I've ever been to! Their ice cream was creamy and sweet, saff were sweet and listened well, and the wait was barely a minute or two. HIGHLY, recommend the waffle cone, and the peanut butter monster ice cream.

Best ice cream in Grand Rapids. Not only that but the staff is super nice and helpful. They are super informed on the product they serve. Everything is made in house dye free allergen friendly and ethically sourced which is very important to me because I am gluten free and wasn’t restricted to what ice cream I could or couldn’t eat.

Sweetielicious is my favorite place for pies! The Dewitt location is so much closer for me but I happened to be at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids and had to grab a slice. I bought my usual favorite Tom's Cherry Cherry Cherry Berry but had to take a chance on Laura's Sticky Toffee Caramel Apple Pie. A delicious pie! I am very particular about apple pie. The molasses cookies are delish too! I've bought many pies over the years. I was surprised about the reviews being low as she is a prizewinning pie baker. I believe the strawberry/cherry cupcakes that people say are dry are an angel food cake. The texture of angel food is much different than regular cupcakes. Maybe the staff can help by clarifying it? Girl was very rude and didnt want to help us. We purchased 2 slices, cookies and a cupcake and she tried to fit everything in one small bag. When we opened the bag the slice was opened and half fell out into the bag. The sticker that was on the container had a long red hair stuck to it. Visiting from Chicago and was looking forward to visiting and left disappointed.

The raspberry cream pie was delicious but the chocolate cupcake and wheat free brownie was either stale or dry. Being so pricey, I expected better.

For what I paid for a cupcake I was beyond disappointed. This was by far the worst cupcake I have ever had. It was so dry I threw it away. They make them look pretty and irresistible, but it was TERRIBLE!

My husband and I both loved this place. It reminded me of steak and shake, only way way way better! I really loved the seasoning you can use on your burgers and fries!!!!! I absolutely love the burgers with their crispy burnt ends. Best fries of any place hands down. The shape and the thickness and the crisp not to mention the seasoning. No one comes close. .

First time at Freddy’s and we loved it. The Crispy Chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had and my kids said the chicken tenders and the double cheeseburger and onion rings were very good. They also enjoyed the sundae and concrete mix. I will definitely be returning soon.

6 PM put in for a GrubHub order for a burger, half-and-half custard, And chicken tenders. My order finally arrived me at 8 PM. What was supposed to be hard rock ice cream the main reason I made the order came to me as foamy milk. The burger and fries were cold I am more upset about the ice cream when I called Freddy’s to tell them about it, the young lady that answered the phone said that they pre-make everything when the order is put in when I told her that my ice cream was full of milk she said that they don’t remake anything, but that it sat out on their counter for over an hour and a half. If I was the manager there, it would be about customer satisfaction and wanting to keep customers loyal and keep customers happy. I have never complained or done a review like this in my entire life so I am a little bit upset. Very disappointed. Went without eating. 😢

The food is made to order. Fresh doesn't even cover it. It was easily the best fast food I've ever had. Try the Cali burger (if you like 1000island). The cheese curds rival that of Culver's. You absoluetly need to try this food! On top of the amazing food, the staff was friendly and helpful! Great customer service. 10/10 would recommend and return!

The fresh rolls were to die for. The peanut sauce was so good. The crispy veggies, the fried tofu, and the herbs, rolled big and fat into a fresh roll, divine. The Pad Kee Mao was so flavorful and with the smaller noodles, there was lots of sauce to go around. Yummy veggies and just the right amount of spice. Ordered the yellow Curry and the flavor was true to form but with a tasty and sweet coconut milk.

This is hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I find myself coming back almost every week because everything on the menu is incredible, but their peanut pad thai is on a whole different level rich, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and the food is consistently fresh and perfectly prepared. Honestly, if I ever get married, Lai Thai will be catering my wedding 😉

My husband and I love Thai food and have tried a bunch of places around here. I used to work at a Thai restaurant, and honestly, I haven’t found one I really loved until now. Lai Thai Kitchen is hands down the best Thai food I’ve had. The service was great and the food came out super fast. We started with the crab wontons and they were delicious - crispy with the perfect amount of filling. I got the Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice with medium spice, and it was amazing. The spice level was just right, not too hot but still had a nice kick. The Thai iced tea was perfect too, not too sweet and really good flavor. My husband got the Chicken Pad Thai with no spice and loved it. The noodles, sauce, and chicken were all really well balanced. We were honestly blown away. I never write reviews, but this place was too good not to.

Great for takeout but even better to dine in. Meals come fast, fresh, and ate truly DELICIOUS. We Love Lai Thai Kitchen! ❤️ 😍 If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Try the shrimp soup, medium heat, or the red curry! Also, the coconut fried rice with chicken will keep you coming back for more.

This was my FIRST time trying Thai food and I am so happy this was the restaurant I picked for my first experience. Everything was incredible and I’m honestly upset that I’ve been missing out for so long ! The Pad Thai was hot and tasted so good ! Never had anything like it! The crab ran-goons were also so good perfect amount of filling and even the sauce that they come with was so good! Thank you so much for such an amazing meal! I will be ordering again in the future!

Sticker shock. No other way to say it. At 76 cents per oz, the heavy frozen yogurt adds up very quickly, not to mention the toppings. I have no toppings and my small cup was half full and it cost $8.06. That will buy you two containers of premium ice cream at the store. It is pretty hard to justify the prices at this ship when there are much more reasonable ice cream shops around.

Review: I had such a great experience at this ice cream shop! The staff was incredibly friendly, but I have to give a special shoutout to Haven, Keegan, and especially Nolan. They went above and beyond to make sure my visit was perfect. Their kindness and positive energy made the whole experience even better. Nolan, in particular, was so welcoming and made great recommendations. You can tell they truly care about their customers. The ice cream was amazing, but the service was even better. Amazingly good frozen yogurt that you have complete freedom to make the way you want. - Vanilla and Oreos Yogurt (Froyo) - $0.76/oz, $9+: My daughter and I went with the simple vanilla yogurt. It was creamy and tasted very similar to soft serve ice cream. I didn’t really notice much of a taste difference and there wasn’t a bad taste to it as can happen sometimes. The Oreo topping was fresh and a bit on the chunkier side. That will be a matter of preference. It is charged by the ounce. There are a TON of choices of toppings, some of which are extremely unique. I doubt you will find anything normal missing. - Service: You serve yourself. You take a cup (waffle cups are available), pull the lever to dispense your choice of frozen yogurt, and move on to the toppings bar to pile on your favorite toppings. - Atmosphere: Normal ice cream parlor like feel, but with some unique differences. They have two swinging benches at the front window. They have standard tables with chairs and wood bench seating, but also bar stool seating. - Conclusion: I’d recommend them for sure. If you like variety, this is definitely the place for you! Visited on a Saturday at 12pm.

The kids enjoy making their own treats and the ice cream and toppings are pretty good, that being said it gets pretty costly pretty quick. Unless you're getting a very modest serving, you should expect to spend about $10 per person.

It was wonderful to enjoy some authentic Sri Lankan dishes after a while. I tried the Egg Kottu, soya meat curry (vegetarian) and masala tea. It was flavorful and delicious! The atmosphere was inviting, the service was great, and the food was excellent! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for Sri Lankan food in the area.

I saw the 4.9 review rating and decided to give it a try. SO glad that we did! Everything we tried was delicious. I got the Beef Curry and my girlfriend got Chicken tika masala .We also got the Garlic butter naan bread. The naan bread went great with both of our dishes. They didn't have the Lassi I really wanted to try unfortunately , but other than that everything was awesome. 10/10 would recommend and we will be returning.

Went here with my partner and it was the best curry i’ve ever had. I had the level 10 spicy lamb tikka masala and it was AMAZING. It was very flavorful and delicious. We want and will visit again soon, it’s worth the long hour drive!

Don't judge a book by its cover. We tried this restaurant based on the high rating and it did not disappoint. Started with the rasam soup and samosas. One sip of the rasam soup and knew we were in for an amazing meal. Food was amazing and service was great! We had veggie samosas, rasam soup, veggie korma+potato, chicken tikka masala, and butter naan. Rice was exceptional, as well. We would take the 90 min trip for the rasam soup alone. Also, the TV was playing a show of a woman chopping fruits and vegetables in a serene environment the entire time we were there, we need to what that show was, if anyone reads this and knows please comment here, it was hypnotizing.

I walked in, heard shouting, things being thrown, and immediately knew it was gonna be good. It smelled amazing. I got the chicken curry and it was the best curry I've had in a hot minute. They are incredibly accommodating for allergies and avoided any cross contamination for shellfish. Lovely people, amazing food, absolutely coming back!

Before I went vegan, I fell in love with veggie korma. Since then, every Indian restaurant I go to, I look to see if they have a vegan option for their korma, and they never do. And then I went to Mithu. Not only did they have a vegan korma option, it was literally the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. I'm not joking, I almost cried. I had missed it so much!! They have a great selection of flavors/items to choose from! It can get really busy, but the line goes by pretty quick. They have a small parking lot in front, but if it fills up you can park along the street by the school.

I had a genuinely disappointing experience here and tried to give the business an opportunity to respond privately. Unfortunately, instead of addressing my concerns, they doubled down, denied my experience, and deleted my public comments. When I reposted, they accused me of harassment. I ordered a chocolate shake made with chocolate hard serve. I was told they’ve never made shakes with hard serve… which simply isn’t true, as I’ve ordered it before and it was made that way in the past. I said as much and they said I couldn’t have had it there. But I did. Last time was less than a month ago and whoever made it, did it right. I decided to settle for a chocolate shake with chocolate soft serve. I didn’t really want to leave empty handed in spite of my upset and after waiting in the long line. What I received was overloaded with syrup to the point of being inedible—it was so overpowering I threw it away after one sip. This isn’t about a single bad shake. It’s about being told I was mistaken when I know I wasn’t, and then being silenced for speaking up. I won’t be returning, and I hope this business reflects on how they handle feedback in the future. I’ve been a neighborhood regular for years, but after today, I won’t be coming back. Two stars only because I have some decent memories of actually getting a good shake here in the past.

Great selection of delicious frozen treats. Lines are often long but move relatively quickly. This spot could be so much better if they would eliminate the parking lot in favor of seating, shade, and plants. There’s tons of street parking, parking next door, and a large lot at City Middle High School. As it is the wait can be hot, there is no shade, and drivers are frequently a nuisance.

Yes. So happy to have gluten free options. I had my first gf brownie flurry in years. The lines were long but they went quickly. I look forward to trying other gf options.

It was our first time and shop was real cute and had nice seats inside. Libby was the only one working at the time and she was so kind and caring. She paid attention to details and went to the back to check when I asked if they had any coffee flavor. She found Oreo Espresso and it was delicious! Libby deserves a raise since it is absolutely a blessing to have a staff like her who genuinely care. It was so refreshing to see how she was working. It is rare to see nice people like her nowadays. Thanks again, Libby for your amazing service. I hope you’re treated like you deserve to be treated. You’re amazing!! :) Strawberry was excellent. Strawberry Cheesecake was ok and wasn’t impressed by Praline Pecan. I’ll absolutely comeback for some more Oreo Espresso & Strawberry for sure!!

It’s one thing for Google to be wrong, I recognize the times are not always up to date. But to show up to Pinkies on a lovely evening desperate for ice cream at 8:12 p.m. (we walked their from our home, 30+ minutes) and to see the signs outside the restaurant say they closed at 9 p.m. was very, very disappointing. It looked like they had been closed for at least 30 minutes.

We’ve enjoyed Pinkie’s each season, they are committed to good ice cream, are in a nice spot on Wealthy, and make appearances at community events. They are changing over their ice cream, Sherman’s was the main staple but is no longer selling wholesale, so we’re excited to see what’s coming. They have many flavors and a decent sized scoop.

Never seen unique ice crème flavours. I got the honey lavender which was smooth and not too strong in flavour. The place to was cute and I enjoyed the décor that filled the place.

Went here with two sweets lovers, looking for "free cream and desserts". Turns out "desserts" means "stuff made with ice cream",so no cakes, pies, etc. Between the three of us we tried nine flavors, ranging from Baconator to black cherry (with Traverse City cherries), strawberry to salted caramel. All were okay, in the okayest sense of that okay judgement. Sweet, flavored, adequate. Meh, okay.

Awesome resto north of the arena (9 min away) with super smash burgers, fries made to perfection, and a chill atmosphere. Great food on a budget, too! I highly recommend visiting. :)

Everything here is on point. The food is absolutely delicious. I had two hot dogs, they had that perfect snap with each bite. The fries are magical. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. One of the best places to grab a bite in all of Michigan.

Stopped in to try a new place and boy what a place! Friendly service from font desk. The lady who took our order was absolutely amazing! A worker even came out to ask me a question about a food item containing an allergen I have that I wouldn't even think would be in there (very kind and attentive) The food was a big portion ans thus a great value! My boyfriend and I spontaneously stopped here while in town for a couple of days, 5/5! We each had a Smash Burger and Onion Rings. The 'ranch dusting' that came on the rings was perfection!

They had a bacon-wrapped dog with mac-n-cheese that was ridiculous, and this Korean corndog(?) thing with hotdog and cheese in a panko crust. Super friendly folks. Not crazy expensive. Highly recommended.

My husband and I came to One Stop Coney last year and had a great meal—friendly staff and delicious food. Sadly, our return visit was the complete opposite. I ordered the Olive Smash Burger and fries. The burger was burnt, dry, and flavorless from edge to center. Not a bit of meat flavor, all just crunchy with no moisture at all. Completely inedible. The fries were bland and forgettable. My husband tried to order a Flint Style Coney Dog, only to be told they no longer carry the chili sauce—even though it’s still printed on the menu. This was the whole reason we came! He ended up with a plain hotdog from a pile that apparently had been cooked ahead of time was and was cold, with a bun that was hard on top and soggy on the bottom. Also inedible. We spent over $22 on food we had to throw away. What was once a place we enjoyed has become a place we will not return to.

They def live up to the rating. I am not from Grand Rapids or even west mi but I travel a lot through Kent county down to Cass county. I have had food from LOTS of places. This place is a 10/10. Food is great, and the fact that if you place an online order they wait till you get there to make the food and the wait isn’t long (for the most part). What you’d expect from a favorite and done right. - Pink Velvet Cake Cookie: Ours was not as covered in frosting as their picture, but it was still plenty of frosting. I would not have honestly wanted more than that. - Kentucky Butter Cake: Just a touch more of a butter taste and reminded me of a sugar cookie without the sugar crystals. - Sticky Bun: Yep, it tasted like a cinnamon roll. Not my cup of tea, but if you like cinnamon rolls, you’ll love it. - Service: The line was a bit longer, so the ordering process was (pun intended) cookie cutter. The gentleman taking our order didn’t seem to care much, but got us through quickly and correctly. The young lady handing us our cookies let us look in the box first before closing it to make sure our order was correct. The box was a bit sticky and (pun intended) crumbly. - Atmosphere: Only about a quarter of the store is customer service. The rest is kitchen. No place to sit and eat so plan on taking it with you. There is seating outside in a common area, but this is not ideal when the weather is cooler (like when we stopped by). There were also floor mats rolled up in the corner and made crowding difficult (it was a bit busy). - Conclusion: Good cookies, but not great service (though it was effective enough). Visited Saturday night at 7pm.

Amazing cookies!! Every single flavor is delicious!! This year instead of a birthday cake, my daughter wanted these for her birthday. The cookies were scrumptious, worth every penny! The customer service was excellent, I was extremely impressed. The employee that greeted me had a super sweet personality and answered my questions kindly with a genuine smile on her face!! These days that’s hard to find!! The only downside was the menu had said they had the smores cookie and my daughter had really been wanting that one. Since it was for her birthday, she was super excited it was available for her birthday! I had ordered 2 but when I got there, they had said that cookie wasn’t available. I placed a same day pickup order on the app around 8am with a pickup time of 9-9:30. So it’s not like they sold out before I got there. I got to choose another flavor in its place but my daughter was sad it wasn’t actually available. So that was a little bummer but over all, I would definitely recommend Crumbl Cookies to anyone anytime!

I stopped by the store to pick up some cookies and experienced a wait time of approximately 30 minutes. The store was not busy at the time, yet the staff appeared disengaged, spending more time socializing than assisting customers. In my view, this level of service is unacceptable and resulted in a complete waste of time. Ultimately, I left without receiving my order after waiting half an hour.

I had such a great experience at Crumbl cookies today. It was my cheat day for the month and I had been CRAVING. A soft cookie. I decided on Crumbl since it had been a while. I went in and the store was clean, everyone seemed to be in a good mood, and the employee that helped me was really nice. I didn’t know what flavor to get and I didn’t want to get something and be disappointed, and jokingly told the employee that it would literally ruin my whole day if I took a risk and ended up not liking it. 💀🤣 which I mean is kind of true. So I asked which one was his favorite which was the Oreo one. I got it, waited maybe two minutes. And then a different employee handed me my cookie with a big smile on her face! I told her necklace was so pretty! Because it reminded me of lord of the rings. Anyway, When I got to the car I opened the box, snapped a pic for the gram, then took a bite. It was SO good!!!! 😊😭🩷 10/10 will return for my next cheat day. Because the customer service was amazing and the cookie was amazing! But thank you for making part of my day off amazing!

Their cookies use to be mind blowing. My recent experience was meh. Not worth the price at all. Wish they kept popular flavors from the past instead of switching it up so often. Not sure why their were two cheesecake options, when they’re known for their cookies. So many great flavors could have been in place of the cheesecakes. Not compelled to come back anytime soon, but overall still probably the best cookie shop around, just not beating their own standard these days. This place is so amazing!! I walk in, excited to what cookies will be offered that day. They NEVER disappoint! Cookies like KEY LIME, Stawberry Cookies LOADED with strawberry frosting. I could go on and on, but please try any of their cookies that ate warm and with frosting! It brightens a cold winter day! They are phenomenal on a warm summer day. But then I usually go for a chilled sugar cookie. There are so many different cookies, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the same one twice. If you love cookies, you’ll love this place!

I’ve always loved Rise Bakery for their quality and accommodating my allergies, but lately it’s been a bit disappointing. The prices are just way too high for what you get, and unfortunately the staff hasn’t been very friendly in my recent visits. I ordered a simple bagel sandwich (cream cheese and avocado) when the place was empty, and it still took 15 minutes to get it. I want to keep loving Rise, but after a few negative experiences, it’s starting to lose the charm it once had.

Found this place with chatGPT and was not disappointed. Finding a place that cares about what they use and put in their food is very important to me. I was surprised with the flavor with the yumtart and blueberry glazed donut. Highly recommend it. Price was not bad for what you get. Service was great, parking on the side street is easy. If you care about what you put in your body, this is the spot. Gluten-free, vegan, soy-free AND Dye free? I’ll be back for more.

The cookie monster donut might just be the best baked donut I've ever had. My goodness, it was so tasty! And the cookie bar is delicious. I really loved their baked goods, tasty tasty! Came in at about 1p on a Thursday and they still had a relatively good selection to choose from, which I was pleased to see. Thanks y'all!

This place is a MUST visit if you are in Grand Rapids. Everything is gluten-free, vegan, soy free, and dye free! They have rotating flavors of most of the items. Don't skip on the oatmeal cream pie! Or the buckeyes. You pretty much cannot go wrong whatever you order. And of course coffee! The only thing that is not vegan is that they offer cow's milk with coffee. Overall, I highly recommend this place! The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

My matcha was the perfect green which is always a good sign. It tasted just as amazing as it looked. We just used Rise to cater cupcakes for a baby shower with 40 people and had a great experience. We ordered the Mocha, Death by Chocolate, Lemon Blueberry, and Carrot Cake flavors. They were packaged conveniently, ready for pick up, the communication back and forth with a few questions we had about allergies was thorough, and the cupcakes were gorgeous and the guests enjoyed them. Not Just for Tea—Excellent Lunch Options Too! 🍽️☕ I was visiting family in town, and my sister—who’s been here several times—brought me and my nieces along to celebrate her birthday. I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I'm not usually into traditional tea service. The idea of sipping tea while nibbling on scones felt a bit outside my wheelhouse. But since they'd all been before and absolutely loved it, I was curious. We were welcomed right away and shown to our seats. The décor is beautiful—warm, elegant, and inviting. You definitely feel like you've stepped into something special, even if you’re dressed casually (I was in tennis shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt with some kind of dog or Disney theme, most likely!). Our server kindly walked us through the process. Admittedly, I felt a little overwhelmed at first, but I think that was more my brain getting ahead of itself. Once we got sorted, my sister and I each ordered the Afternoon Tea, which came with four savoury bites, one scone served with lemon curd, fruit preserves, and clotted cream, plus four desserts. It didn’t look like much initially, but it was absolutely satisfying! My nieces ordered the Fairy Tea, which included two savouries and two sweets—perfect for younger kids. There were plenty of tea options to choose from. I had one of the summer blends—peach or another fruit-forward choice I cannot remember—and it was lovely. I also tried the Hot Cinnamon tea, which had a cozy, spicy flavor I really enjoyed. I'd absolutely recommend it. Since my sister had been here before, she also ordered the Cheese Toasties for the table to share. They were delicious and served with chips—definitely something I’d consider for lunch on their own next time. We also heard great reviews of the Scotch Egg and Shepherd’s Pie, so those are high on my list for a return visit. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, and we even had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, attending one of their themed events (my family went to the Harry Potter one last year and loved it), or simply stopping in for a quiet afternoon tea or a great lunch, this place is well worth a visit.

High Tea Grand Rapids is a treasure in the community. They serve a great variety of teas and serve a delicious and filling high tea variety of savory sandwiches and sweet pastries. They are able to provide gluten free, requesting a week’s notice to prepare. The hot teas are steeped on your table and come in some very traditional caffeinated brews along with some house-prepared varieties. The caffeine free teas like the cinnamon offering pack a strong flavor punch. The chai is blended in house providing great flavor. The gluten-free bread and baked goods were above average, something that can be particularly challenging. Amy helped with our reservations and served us, providing fantastic helpful and personable service. Be sure to check out the owners personal collection of tea sets on display near the front door. We had been looking forward to coming hear with our of town guests and were very impressed with the service and quality of the food. As well, the decor reinforces the high tea experience. The Jane Austen theme, including quotes in the menu and books on the table, is a nice touch. Definitely worth a visit for a special occasion or very nice meal.

Came to High Tea on a Bachelorette and it was truly a highlight of the weekend. The Christmas menu was DELICIOUS, and our waitress Sarah made the experience comfortable. For the Afternoon Tea menu we got 4 savories, a scone, and 4 sweet treats plus 2 pots of tea per person. We were so full after a single pot each that we couldn’t drink another. Definitely try the seasonal teas! We would all happily come again. Thank you!

Recently went for my second visit to celebrate my birthday with family. A tremendous experience both times! For this visit, we split two afternoon teas among three people. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is SO GOOD. They use authentic ingredients from Great Britain. They also blend their own chai. Attention to detail is apparent throughout. Very excited to go back and try the new cafe menu as they have scotch eggs. They even provided me with a complimentary birthday cupcake for my birthday! I highly recommend this spot and the experience they curate.

I came here with 3 friends to celebrate my wedding. We had High Tea and it was everything I wanted it to be. Service was incredible, the food and tea were delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. I can’t say enough about it. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back.

I heard about the Jane Austen theme at High Tea of Grand Rapids for August and September and knew I had to take our daughter and two granddaughters when they came to visit from Detroit. It was the second time I have taken her there for her birthday. We were not disappointed. Even the food descriptions on the menu were a delight to read. Since we were hungry for lunch, we ordered two high teas and a fairy tea for the four of us, and it was more than enough. With three pots of excellent tea, savories, sweets, and scones, we ended up having to take some home. The food was awesome, but the atmosphere made it a true British tea experience. The table was spread with a linen tablecloth, and there were real cloth napkins, silverware, monogramed plates, tea cups with saucers, teapots, gold-plated tea strainers, and tiny teaspoons shaped like keys. It was all very charming. The three generations of tea lovers enjoyed our outing very much and look forward to making it a birthday tradition each year for my daughter.

Very tasty torta and taco- however the meat was very chewy. Well seasoned but chewy. Everything was fresh. Every time I go here the Staff is always rushed and super busy so the dirty tables and trash are always overflowing. They have an outdoor eating area available- so that’s great. They make fresh ice cream with many flavors and other traditional Mexican treats and snacks.

the elotes are good but i found a hair on them and it’s disgusting cuz i ate it all and i found out at the end, also they put in the dorilocos CHAMOY instead of a tomato spicy sauce those that make at mexico like bro doritos and chamoy that’s white people food trying to make it mexican

They took a very long time to process my order, even though the appetizers were delicious. I was forced to wait for an hour even though there were only three customers in front of me when I placed my order. They got their orders right away, and I was still there waiting. I just had ordered cream-topped strawberries and nachos with cheese.

Cute little spot: got the Elote: Mexican corn and steak fries (cold fries and gross avocads). Place is clean and the offer ice creams, yogurts, fruit cups and fries and lots of unique Mexican offerings. We ordered the Elote with no hot spice and they added it..I dont like hot spices. We called ahead the order and when I went to return the Elote for a non Spicy Corn, she threw my cup in trash and was really rude telling me she asked me twice if I wanted it. I know what I ordered because I don't do hot. The She angrily remade it throwing the ingredients in a cup with a terrible attitude and was an absolutely disgusting. I thought there offerings looked good and wanted to order dessert but she ruined the experience and I don't do business with rude people. So we left. But it was a cute shop and clean. Customer service terrible. I won't return

Had lunch- Kothu Parotta- good tasting food . Wednesday Evening i- Dosa Buffet- is a blast. Quality of the food is good. Differently tasting foods great for the taste palette. Reasonable price. Several food are like home made. The price and the quality and variety like no other. Not greasy or too hot is the best part. If it is not crispy or super sugar yanked with cream. Ala crate has a good variety of Tamil, Malayalam, Hyderabad and different tastes. When you cook this many varieties, it is not 100% but feel homely and want eat again. The staff is very friendly. Felt like eating at a relatives place. Overall A+. Been coming to ups and downs of Grand Rapids. Glad to see a place like this. Very refreshing!

Worst experience of take out. I ordered veg biryani but he handed over something else I was lucky to ask before taking out. Food was pathetic I through gobhi Manchurian in trash . Don’t consider the tasty Tuesday (biryani). Oh my god why I saw that advertisement and ruined my evening 😏

Great place for biryani in the Grand Rapids area! The Bhai Special Biryani is flavorful and well-prepared, definitely one of the best around. The hot and sour soup and starters are also good and make for a nice overall meal.

Review of Kolaa Urundai at Grand Indian Cuisine, GR. The smell of incense, aromatic food and the owner welcomed me at the restaurant. Dish I tasted - Kolaa Urundai *Looks* : Deep brown, crusty, looked well cooked. Reminded me of BBQ and meatball looks, very appetizing. *First bite* : Crusty outside provided mild pleasurable resistance to the bite. The crust gave way to unexpectedly pleasant and soft inner stuffing. *First taste* : Taste explosion! I did not expect that good a taste. I was expecting Dhokla or paruppu urundai or Mysore bonda type taste. This had a wonderfully different taste. *Texture* : Outer crunch was a pleasure. Inner soft stuffing had its own mix of textures from its ground ingredients that are well enjoyed by the palate. It was neither mushy nor homogenous like Dhokla/Mysore Bonda though those dishes taste good in their own ways. *Heat/spice* : Perfect for a buffet. Personally, I would like a bit more heat but that's only for my Indian taste palate. *Final word* : Its a superhit in my books, no exaggeration!

Best Indian restaurant in Grand Rapids!!! I've tried all Indian restaurants in GR, many times over and can confirm this is one of the best, if not the best. Location is great, prices were great, food portion was great and overall the food was absolutely delicious. Keep up the good work!! Update (Late March 2022): The restaurant had change in management recently and their service is even better now. Food continues to be absolutely delicious. I go here often and take friends and families with me.

Grand Indian Cuisine serves up some great food. This location seems to have had a series of Indian restaurants by different names and management. The food is very good with a menu that serves an ample variety of dishes. Service mediocre. While the food came out in the expected time, getting the waitstaff attention was more challenging than it needed to be. Decor a bit underwhelming. Take out can be a great option here and they seemed to do a substantial amount of it.

Update: I have ordered from Oppa several times since my first review. It's one of my new favorite places. Today was the very first time I dined in. The service was amazing! The food tasted even better due to presentation and not being taken out, and the atmosphere has a chill vibe that I love! The homemade dumplings were delicious, and the sushi bento box was amazing. You've seriously got to check this place out! Original review: Their sushi is amazing! I do think some of their menu items are priced just slightly too high, but it's competitive with every other sushi place in Grand Rapids. The first time I ever went, I accidentally ordered way too much, not knowing how big their rolls were, but none of it went to waste. As a matter of fact, I went back for lunch just days later. This is definitely going to be a regular spot for me!

Just ate here with my family. I got a California roll and jumbo spider roll. It was the worst sushi ive ever had. I had 1 of each and that was enough. It had a horrible after taste. My daughter got chicken fried rice. Superrrrr salty and full of pepper. She wouldnt eat it and thats her favorite food. My husband got a bento box. Everything deep fried was extremely greasy. Like stomachache greasy. His miso soup tasted like dirty dish water. My daughters other favorite. Wouldnt eat it after 1 spoonful, it was a waste of $65. It truly was such an awful food experience and we truly are not picky eaters.

I enjoyed this place so much I visited twice while in Grand Rapids. I'm always on the lookout for good Korean Fried Chicken when out and about, as it's not available back home. The first visit I had the tenders, and the second time the wings. Both were delicious, crispy, and just the right amount of heat. My second visit, they were having staffing issues which caused a much longer wait, but it didn't affect the quality of the food, so the extra time was just fine to me! Not sure what other options for Korean FC there are in GR, but you certainly don't want to miss this place.

I ordered the veggie bibimbop and fried chicken tenders w/ garlic soy sauce and then I combined them together for the most delicious combo!!! 10/10 recommend!! The chicken is so crispy and delicious even without the sauce but the garlic soy adds the perfect amount of flavor and spice. I’m not from here but will definitely return whenever I come back again!!!

We've been here a few times and the chicken has always been fresh and so crispy. The bulgogi has great flavor. I love the original crispy chicken and soy garlic but just a warning, they are the lowest spice level but its still pretty spicy for people who are sensitive to spice. I can confidently say that is the best fried chicken I have ever had though!!!

Whatever you do, don’t sleep on this one. This is one of those spots I’ve been going to for years but I’ve never reviewed because it’s so obvious I’ll be back soon 😂. The fried chicken is so delicious (I particularly love the drumsticks), and there is a spice level for everyone. For those who struggle with spice, even the garlic soy will have some kick to it, but will be comfortable for most. The garlic spicy will be plenty hot for most. The red hot pepper will be too hot for most, but great for the adventurous! Had the beef bibimbap recently and that was tasty. Looking forward to branching out to the ramen soon, but the fried chicken is hard to not get every time. Service is friendly and pretty quick! Prices are very reasonable, even after going up the past year or so.

I had no idea what to order but was told the Garlic Soy was very popular. I am amazed!! I ordered boneless tenders and they were fantastic! Spicy, sweet and salty. The crunch lasted till the last bite. So good. I’m so glad I tried this place!

Was in the mood for some wings and found this spot that had some rabokki as well. What a great find! This was definitely a little bit too much food for the solo traveler, but everything was fire! This is just another version of soul food and this really hit the spot before the flight. Service was real smooth too and food came out quick even though there were two medium sized parties ahead of me.

This place is amazing, fried chicken perfectly crisp, I like spicy so I went with the curry tenders. To full to try they're Ramen but definitely next time! Definitely a must try if you like Korean fried chicken, I'll definitely be back

Ordered these for delivery from Uber eats. The cookies seemed smaller than advertised (yes I am aware that products being advertised won’t always be the same in person) they were significantly smaller as well as they tasted a bit like premade cookies that you’d get from the story by pillsbury or nestle.

Absolutely delicious. Was in here for my first time today & was impressed with the flavor. The Oatmeal raisin cookies were fresh, warm and wonderful. The chocolate chunk ice cream was thick and cold. Minus one star on the lack of seating. One set of stools are barely an inch shorter than the bar you sit at, forcing you to lean over really hard to eat your treat.

We both got two scoops of ice cream on a cookie. I got a chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of double chocolate mint and dreamweaver and my boyfriend got a white chocolate macadamia cookie with a scoop of moose tracks and chocolate chip cookie dough. The cookie was a bit smaller than we expected and we wish it would've been a little warmer. Overall tasted good. The store only had one counter on the side for seating but the rest of the store had a lot of open space for standing.

The deliciousness of the cookie was not in question. But the customer service was absolutely nowhere near bare minimum. It was my first time there and will be my last. I’d rather drive all the way to allegan and see if they’d treat me better. This was my first time ever as a customer of insomnia cookie. I didn’t know the difference in the packages. We wanted to get a total of 12 cookies but they were going to be all the “special” kinds that were Limited time only! The lady taking our order barely wanted to speak to me, so when I asked for the 12 pack she just said “yeah that for classic only”. Then offered no knowledge/suggestions or anything. So I just ordered everything separately, she gave me my total, told me to swipe my card, walked away brought back my box and that was the end of it. Not a thank you. Not a “this is how this works, here’s the options you have to make a pack”, nothing. If you don’t like talking to people don’t work in a place where you have to talk to people….

First time ordering and eating Insomina Cookies. I ordered thru Door Dash. $19 for six cookies. Everything looked really good but I only received five cookies. The cookies tasted good. It is just disappointing when the quality control, (i.e. double checking that the order was correct) is not happening. They are delicious. They are not cheap. The minimum is a correct order.

No ice cream at all. What’s the point of charging me for all those add-ons if you’re not even going to include the main item? This is just lazy and straight-up disrespectful. If I wanted just a cookie, I would’ve paid $3, not over $15. I’m attaching the pics of items I received. I need Refund for the things which you didn’t even provided me, I even added extra scoop for extra money, where is the icecream?? Did the delivery guy ate it or you forgot to provide it??

I had such a fantastic time at the sugar cookie decorating class! The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole experience fun! The class was well-organized, and all the supplies were provided, making it easy to dive right in. I learned so many helpful techniques, and my cookies actually turned out beautiful (and delicious!). Whether you’re a beginner or just looking for a fun, creative activity, I highly recommend this class. Can’t wait to come back for another class!

We used DreamScape Desserts for our July wedding and would recommend them to anyone! They had a to-go tasting option that allowed us to narrow down our choices, which was so helpful! We ended up ordering a 3 tier cake (plus kitchen cake) with each layer a different flavor (vanilla latte, berry delight, and strawberries and champagne. They also were able to do gluten, egg, and nut free cupcakes for us as well. They delivered and decorated the cake for us. The cake was soo good! There was a guest who enjoyed it so much they had 5 pieces! We also had a few pieces left over to take home! Communication was fantastic through the whole process and they made everything so easy!

We chose DreamScape Desserts for our wedding and our wedding cake was not only delicious but the design we picked turned out absolutely beautiful!! We picked up our mini cupcakes and cake the day before our wedding and everything held up perfectly and tasted amazing. The different flavored mini cupcakes were delicious, absolutely adorable and were a huge hit with our guests! We are so happy we chose them to add a sweet touch to our big day.

Oh my goodness… absolutely delicious. We catered Dreamscape for our wedding and the mini cupcakes were to die for. They also did a beautiful (and yummy) job with my husband and I’s personal cake. The mini dessert table was a hit, and no one is going to do it better than these folks. We highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

They did a jaw dropping job on my daughter’s cake! We did chocolate chip pancake flavor and everyone complimented how great it tasted. Everyone was awe struck with how beautiful the cake was! Highly recommend.

We ordered our dream wedding cake from dreamscape desserts, and they did an AWESOME job!!! We had the most beautiful cake and cupcakes, and it was all within budget!! We were quoted over $1,000 for the same wedding cake from another baker, and dreamscape desserts were able to provide us with seriously delicious cake for several hundred dollars cheaper. We also had better customer service than with the other baker we were initially thinking of going with - very grateful we went with dreamscape. They were very helpful in picking out cupcake flavors and choosing design colors to match our event. They did beautiful work and it tasted delicious! 10/10

As a wedding planner, I can't recommend DreamScape Desserts enough. Their communication is great and Karisa is wonderful to work with! I love that they are good about working with food allergies/dietary restrictions. You can't go wrong booking with them!

Been here a few times previously and had good but not great experiences - went again tonight and everything was amazing. A lot more flavor, good additions to the menu, and everything tasted so fresh and amazing. Not sure if something has changed or if they just are hitting their groove- but if you've been before and had reservations, would highly recommend going back. Also, love the live music! Pictured is the garlic knots because it's all I remembered to photograph.

I LOVE this place! The food, the people, the atmosphere, the prices, the quality! Pure, unadulterated Italian cuisine. The GM. “Jo” is a fantastic cook and better human being! Her staff loves her and it shows! Ask for Desi, or Parker with fantastic drink selections and the WINE… Italian only, and worth every penny. Don’t miss the live music…. I love this place!

I don’t usually have pasta as my first choice of food, but I was driving by Testa Rossa And realized it had been quite some time since I had ordered anything from there. I went with “The Big Ragu”. It was a huge portion for $20 that fed two people. My timing was good as I arrived just ahead of the dinner rush. By the time I left, the restaurant was starting to fill up. I also realized that the garlic bread doubled as an accordion…so, dinner AND a show!

Nice Italian restaurant in Wealthy district. I had the chicken parmesan. Was really happy that they offered spaghetti squash as a substitute for regular noodles at no extra charge. Will come back.

10/10 went here on a date night Friday night and had 0 expectations going in... absolutely amazing. My wife got the margarita pizza and I stole a bite to try it went back and stole a whole Best pizza I have ever eaten (we try a lot of pizza places). Then I had the veal parmesan... yup just as good as the pizza!! Then you add in the live music, those guys were AMAZING!! HAVE EASILY RECOMMEDED THIS PLACE TO AT LEAST 10 OTHER COUPLES AND WILL KEEP RECPMMENDING IT!!!!!

The food was outstanding! Appetizer whipped ricotta was great. Never had anything like this before. I had manicotti. Generous portions, enough for 2 to split. Lemon tiramisu, never knew they had that flavor. I’ve had regular tiramisu many times but this, best I’ve ever had! Piano music Fri, Sat and Sun. Hands down winner place A must try 🩷

The place was quiet and cozy, nothing standoutish.. The staff was kind and helpful for my 1st time. I like how the owners are not afraid to show their Asian heritage with the display pieces. I love a fun story, it brings me closer to the business. They have some fun drinks on the menu and the food looks fresh. I had a cinnamon scone, which was buttery soft but not fluffy and had the right amount if crumbly crunch. I hope it was made in-house?? I look forward to going back

A nice coffee shop serving Grand Rapids. Stopped in to grab something warm to drink on the first cold day of the year. The staff were very pleasant and helpful with the menu. Ordered, a seasonal coffee and it was quite tasty. I would absolutely recommend Sweetwaters.

They have been consistent both times and I like the cappuccino. So far so good and with a calm atmosphere. They also have board games you can break out and play with your favorite type of java.

I would give them 6 stars if I could… I’m very fond of cinnamon rolls, and theirs is delicious! And the French Vietnamese Au Lait is excellent. The staff are wonderful, and there’s plenty of seating. I walked so not certain about the parking, but it looks like it is easily found. Lots of options for pastries. Definitely a coffee shop worth exploring. I’m not a tea drinker but they have a large variety of tea available. Long walk but I’ll be back.

Stopped on my way through Grand Rapids. I own a coffee shop so I asked for something that I couldn't get anywhere else. Had the recommended French Vietnamese Au Lait and a cinnamon scone. The scone was a little crumbly, but buttery and dense. The Vietnamese Au Lait was not overly sweet, but rather had the right amount of bite. What a beautiful dessert case. Definitely.Will make this a stop on future trips north.

The place is amazing , bright, open , colorful art and welcoming. The staff are lovely, made me a Cortado, even though not on the menu 👏👍. But the Espresso is more on the bitter side and not having whole milk further took the taste down.

I normally get a mocha every time I go to a coffee place. I wanna try the menu. It was my first time being here, but their menu is unique than a standard coffee shop. I also has one of their vegan balls. It was on the sweeter side for me, but the texture was on point. The ball wasn't crumbly either. It held together even after I bit into it. The batista was so nice and helpful. She helped me figure out a treat for myself being that I'm dairy-free (sometimes 😆) Bathrooms | The bathroom was clean. They have 2 single bathrooms. The one I was in did have a changing table.

Great ice cream sandwiches. Mixed theme atmosphere. - So Fetch $6: Probably the best overall for just about anyone. This takes the favorites of cookies and brownies together for a wonderful experience. It was quite cold. - Toffee Doodle $6: This was a smash hit of a flavor! My grandma made Snickerdoodles when I was a kid and this tasted EXACTLY like that, but maybe a smidge better with the ice cream. I HIGHLY recommend it if you like snickerdoodle. - Service: The lady helping out was super cool and helpful. Our order came out really fast, but there were no other customers when we ordered. There were a few after and things seemed to be running smoothly overall. - Atmosphere: With a mixture of old school children’s Disney theme and darker Nightmare Before Christmas, Deadpool, etc. It’s a bit of a juxtaposition for unique individuals. Not my preference. - Conclusion: They have a nice thing going, but be aware of the theme if you are bringing really little children. Visited on a Saturday night around 6:30pm.

Retro vibes with new tastes. We had three ice cream sandwiches and each was uniquely delicious. We were also lucky enough to visit on a food truck day. The building had a good deal of seating and has been well decked out. Of the handful of ice cream sandwiches, there was a great deal of variety. I would certainly recommend this to all ice cream lovers.

The absolute best ice cream sandwiches you will ever have! Everything is handmade in the store with the finest ingredients. The retro theme is very nostalgic.

I love that they have reserved parking for superheroes, but I have to be honest in my review. The cheesecake is over priced for its quality and quantity at $4/slice to start. I have had cheesecake just as good or better from Wal-Mart and Meijer. They also seemed high pressure as I didn't have any time to look at their offerings without the cashier standing right next to me. They also don't offer any multi-slice discount or anything like that.

I ordered a dozen custom and a dozen glazed. The chocolate iced were shrunken like they didn’t proof long enough or were supposed to be mini’s or something. Sooooo disappointing! The crème filled were dry with heavy dough. Not sure what happened. I’m guessing they filled the glazed with mini’s? Instead of regular size donuts? Even with the extra smaller ones, Krispy Kreme’s should’ve attempted to connect with me. The smaller donuts weren’t enough for people to have 2, but taking 1 didn’t give them a full-size donut.

Staff was so-so. Someone was taking my order and then walked away without saying anything. Came back and said, "sorry about that". Like at least tell me you had to step away. Doughnuts were small, and I got regular size. They were cold and the selection they had was not the full menu of what is offered. Also, $20 for a dozen? The doughnuts are delicious don't get me wrong, but that seems a bit pricey.

Went early in the am thinking that I would get Fresh! Wrong! Not at all the case ..Old and Cold all of them and stale to make it worse is that the price does not meet the quality anymore .prices rise quality and service fall all across the board..smh..Idk but probably true that all Service industries are suffering from very poor quality of experience.the fill donuts was no fill in them or disappeared when microwave for 2seconds..Non of the donuts was fresh Super Hard .Cream was hard on Top! Suppose to been lemon filled but no lemon fill! Guess it's the tariffs..huh!

I placed a 0645 pickup order. I drive 20 minutes (40 both ways) to arrive and be told they won’t have the Harry Potter donuts until 0900. There should be someone who reviews these orders and lets customers know. Even if I had to turn around 10 minutes in, that would be more acceptable. To top this, I was originally told I had to choose other donuts and couldn’t “for certain” get a refund until they ran it by management and said they would refund me. A huge waste of my time.

They NEVER have the specialty donuts. I have order about every 4-6 months over the last 4 yrs and EVERYTIME I have had to change my mobile order because they didn’t have the donuts besides the original one available. It didn’t matter what time of day I went either! Early morning to afternoon to late evening.. And their coffee machines are always broken.. sometimes it’s the hot drinks and sometimes it’s the cold/iced drinks. I drive from 2 hours away too because of work sometimes so when I am in town I always would want to get them. And if you order in the mobile app, you can’t get your money right back, it takes days! Very frustrating and disappointing!

Young black girl with nose rings waited on us. She barely acknowledged me for starters. I got the Halloween box of 12. There was a picture of box contents on the video screen. She didnt have any more of 2 types of donuts, so she replaced them with regular donuts. When I asked her about it she said the Mgr. told her to put 4 regular donuts (supposed to only b 2 regular donuts). I asked for the Mgr. She went to the back and got the proper donuts. Then when I checked out I asked her if I could SEE what was in the box. She wouldn't show me but instead told me. I asked her again to see what was in the box. She shoved the box at me, threw up her hands and walked away. I was blown away with the lack of service I received!

I love the cake donuts. Especially at full time the pumpkin spice donuts. But when I went to the drive up window, the girl told me that they tried to order the part for the cake machine, but it was on backorder? For two years? Fire this manager Get the cake machine fixed. Grand Rapids is missing out. Plus, the location of this donut shop is horrific. On the corner of a mall on an intersection by two busy streets that will only let you out to the right. There is a Chick-fil-A next-door that is always packed and when they leave they drive like crazy and they will hit you. Not a safe location not a good manager and no cake donuts

Old fashioned hole in the wall in all the best ways. Cheapest lunch anywhere and tasty breads. The old folks give great service. The young ones are clueless. I also don’t like black nail polish where clean hands are necessary.

Van's is an iconic GR location that has been in business since the 20s. A quaint vintage shop that makes their donuts, pastries, and breads in house daily. A few tables to sit down and socialize, but the real gold is in the sweet pastries. One of two great donut shops here in town. This one is a favorite. SO GOOD. Prices are reasonable, and the service is spot on. Always greeted with a smile. This is a top notch family owned Grand Rapids business. Highly recommended.

This was a flashback to my childhood! I loved the feel of this little place, everyone was very friendly. The donuts are delicious and reasonably priced. They have a few small tables so you could sit and eat. Cool place, go grab a dozen!

A historic Grand Rapid's staple and fantastic family owned business. They have the best fresh donuts, English muffin bread, and banket in the area! The folks working here are are so wonderful and the prices are the best you will find ANYWHERE near here. A true treasure and located one block over from the Fulton Street Market.

Stopped in for coffee ☕️ and breakfast. Got the croissant with ham, bacon, egg and cheese. Excellent sandwich.... very filling. Tried the raspberry truffle mocha for coffee ☕️ Very friendly and helpful staff. Always enjoy going here. Great menu choices. Brought home blueberry danishes when leaving. Cinnamon Roll was hard like day old. Should only sell fresh. Sell day old at reduced price so customers know what they get. Was looking forward to a usually a great product. Disappointed

New owners but the same ambiance. They have a variety of pastries, cakes and breads to choose from. And a full-service coffee bar. Nice seating inside and outside. The outside seating in particular nice since it’s not right on the curb of a busy road and has some shady seating usually. My go to here is a dark roast coffee and one of their great scones. My buddy does a pastry. On my last visit I had a non-sweet treat, a focaccia roll with a little butter. Fewer calories and a nice treat.

Love this place! Great service, friendly employees, great atmosphere- Love the outdoor patio- And great food! The servings are large, and the food is delicious! My faves are the chicken salad sandwich, blueberry scones, and the island cookie. The coffee is also excellent.

One star only because the bread, I got the caprese half sandwich with a cup of soup. The flavor wasn’t even that great but still it wasn’t bad. The bread was the best part. $20 including tip for a half sandwich soup combo is a sham in itself. But look at what the so called sándwich they served me looked like. Flat as a pancake, with no substance at all. A tiny little tomato slice? Don’t insult me. Take it off the menu. Never again. If you’re an employee here and you’re not making at least $25/hr put your two weeks in. You can do better.

We've been there two weekends in a row for lunch because it was so good! The pizza and calzone were fantastic! My husband had two different sandwiches and liked them both (man of few words...) I will always crave that pizza dough! Down sides are most of the tables we're dirty each time, the bathroom was dirty each time, and the hightop we sat at was very wobbly and so was one of the stools so we moved once another family left. Minor infractions but it distracted from the experience. I'll definitely be back just for that pizza though!

I needed a Thank You Gift for a group of people and ordered a white raspberry chocolate Bundt cake. The website is easy to order from, they delivered on time and the cake was excellent. I was even able to personalize my card and add a thank you flag. Thank you for making my “thank you” so easy. Will definitely use again.

Yesterday was my first time trying NBC (not the network but the restaurant) And that was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long while. I got the strawberry cream it was very delicious, the icing was good not too sweet and it didn’t overpower the flavor of the cake. I’ll definitely be back soon…

The Bundt cake is very moist and delicious! I am not a big fan of cream cheese frosting so I was a little disappointed that it was their only frosting but the cake is so good that you can get it without frosting and you are not missing a thing! White chocolate raspberry was recommended to us by a friend and my husband is not a white chocolate fan but he was extremely impressed after trying a sample and that is what he ordered. The chocolate chocolate chip is amazing also! Great safe location and a very cute little shop. I also thought the prices were not bad for a specialty dessert.

We stopped in after driving by. It was a great choice. They have several sizes of cakes ready to go, so I grabbed a small red velvet bundt cake ($3.99) to take out. While we were in store they had the lemon cake to sample, it was also delicious. There is no space in the store to eat the cake there, so this is strictly take out. They have a big flip page ordering guide in store, it looks like they have a decent amount of special order options. Cake was moist, tasty and the frosting was perfect. If you want a snack or a cake to take for desert, grab one here.

Over the 3-4 years have stopped off on the highway in and out of town a few times looking for ice cream or coffee. Twice it was closed but the hours said they' were open and no note as far as I could see. Once there was one only person working and a long line. Can't speak on the quality of the ice cream or coffee but they seemed to have a staffing issue every time I've been around. Ended up going to Frosty Boy, which also had a line but it was moving.

Awesome service! The peanut butter cookie dough ice cream is the best thing every. My kids want to go daily, but we settled on weekly. Kinda fun having bubbles, face painting, and games.
