I love eating here!!! The make your own burgers, with all the different types of fries. Today I was serviced by Mario. He was very nice pleasant professional food was amazing and cut thoroughly. Thank you for all your hard work.

We went there for dinner with family we were visiting. We keep to a Vegan diet and our daughter Vegetarian, while her husband is omniviore. All of were able to get dinner and ice cream treats afterwards. Our Vegan diet is about personal health so we are more flexible than some others might be about the fact that the Vegan burgers and veggies are cooked on the same grill as meat. For the same reasons we did not check to see if the ice cream cones were Vegan. Anyone who is concerned about such details should check and might end up eating elsewhere depending on what they find out. Alternatively, if one orders ice cream in a cup that should be acceptable for most people who keep to a Vegan diet. We loved celebrating my roommates birthday here tonight. Alexis was so sweet and helpful. We had so much fun taking on the expedition sundae split between 8 of us! 😅💗

Phenomenal. The best ice cream I’ve ever had. Easily. More than 40 flavors and it’s a whole different level of creamy and smooth. There’s a reason it’s a local fave since 1932!

We are Ithaca residents, and Purity is our go to place for a treat out of the house. The ice cream is great quality, tons of classic snd some absent grade flavors. The order and delivery process is a bit different, but very efficient. The dining area is reminiscent of retro 1960’s decor. They also have a grill at a separate counter for hamburgers and sodas. Casey and Liam are great host and hostesses. Be sure to ask for them when you come!

I have been going here my whole life and it's always a great spot. The price is a tad high but understandable when considering the quality of the ingredients. The service is generally good but the person who served me today could've expressed more hospitality. There were a couple cleanliness issues that I noticed such as unclean prep areas, and it was a little disorganized behind the counter, but the customer seating area was nice and clean as usual. This place is honestly great for brunch, a quick bite to eat, or any ice cream craving I will definitely continue to come back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Sweet Melissa’s is the best soft serve in town and they don’t mess around with the soft serve and baked goods either. They do specialty flavors for hard ice cream like Thai ice tea, matcha, lemon ricotta and more - they rotate through flavors and often sell out quick so there’s always something new and fun to try. Vegan options for hard ice cream too. Cash only.

Sweet Melissa's Ice Cream Ithaca, NY We tried their Vegan ice cream based on the recommendation of someone we trusted. We got 2 scoops vegan toasted coconut and vegan gluten-free blonde cookies & cream ice cream. At this time they are "cash only." Both of their Vegan ice creams are coconut milk based and didn’t have much flavor. The toasted coconut had more than the blonde cookies and cream. They also had a somewhat rubbery texture, more like melted mozzarella cheese than what one would anticipate from ice cream. It's outdoor seating only. There's no street visible signage to indicate this business, yet despite that there is a constant line of customers, most likely for their dairy based ice creams and other threats. For us as Vegans, I would not go back except to sometime in the future to give them a second chance. It just wasn't that good.

I've been frequenting Sweet Melissa's since 2011, and it's a real gem. The portions are decent (not enormous like some other ice cream establishments in the greater Ithaca area) and the quality is excellent. I wish they made their own waffle cones, but they probably don't have the room for that. I love the two berry twist, but I love the hard flavors the most. Coconut and coffee have been my favorites. I think they sometimes use different vegan milks for the vegan hard ice creams, because sometimes I love them even more--perhaps that's when they use coconut milk? The location is perfect, the long lines usually move quickly, and carrying some cash isn't a problem. They have punch cards, too! Staff and owners are very friendly and the experience is always a delight. The seating is often unusable because the line runs against it, which is unfortunate when your partner is disabled and needs to sit down.

Really enjoy their rotating selection of flavors. The hard ice cream has been good everytime and my girlfriend really likes the vegan options. Apparently their recipe has gotten much better with an improved texture! The cash only operation does kind of keep me away though, only because its 2025 and who carries cash anymore.

My favorite ice cream shop in the finger lakes area and I take my ice cream seriously! The owners are great people who take such pride in making quality products at reasonable prices. I LOVE their hard ice creams (especially Coffee Toffee, Vanilla Latte, Thai iced tea, and many more!)--these are all made by Melissa in house. And their soft serve is great, too: especially the two-berry twist!

Yummy soft serve ice cream. Came here twice- the second time because we enjoyed our first visit so much. 2nd time my mom and I ordered mediums and portions were very small, but I guess it depends on the employee who serves you! Was a bit disappointed by this, but still would come back again.

Fantastic ice cream! Best I have ever had, and I've had a lot in my 64 years of ice cream-loving life! The entire experience at Cornell was remarkable. I recommend taking time to do the self-guided tour of the Dairy building, which would include the Viticulture science display. Don't miss the Botanical Gardens and Arboretum while on campus!

Very nice staff. Very clean building. Very expensive ice cream. Two of us had two scoops and a cup and it came to over $15. There are a lot better places to go in town. They don't give out samples anymore. I've never been to a place that doesn't. Don't think I'll be back.

I know you can get the ice cream in the cornell store but nothing beats going to the store itself (they have special merchandise). The seasonal apple maple ice cream was to die for. Also got some special souvenirs, including cheese and a mini carton of milk! Love this place.

Creamy ice cream with several flavors to choose from. I really loved the Bavarian raspberry fudge! There was a pleasant raspberry flavor throughout it. The blonde lady scooping the ice cream was awesome!

Amazing one! Many seats inside, but you can also eat outside. Their own ice cream is perfect! There're a lot of tastes available. Sometimes they run out of some, but it happens everywhere. The place is very clean. The staff is extremely polite, friendly and positive

Homemade ice cream with lots of options. Very tasty and the service was quicker than most of tge ice cream places we go. Staff was friendly. Decor was nice and kids loved it. I had never been. It was a little tricky to find. We parked in a parking garage and walked about a block to get there. Was not marked great, but we did find it. Also, bathroom require a key and you have to leave your phone to get the key. Makes washing up afterwards a little more laborious than should have been.

Homemade ice-cream this place is amazing! Pistachio ice cream on their fancy cone is superb and no regrets! Place is cute and pretty with a nice indoor and outdoor spot. Street parking wasn't too bad either. One of the best ice-cream I have had, strong recommend!!

Came here because the reviews are so good, and yes the ice cream is delicious. But the service was some of the worst I’ve experienced in my life, and I’m not over exaggerating. 3 young people behind the counter just staring at us. Not a word. We then spoke up to order, they plopped the ice cream cup down on the counter, and still not a word. No eye contact, no thank you, not a word. I was confused. So I said “thank you so much”… and again, not a word no acknowledgment at all. I’m pretty stunned. I know people can sometimes have a bad day, but this was unusual.

We came in to get some ice cream, got to the register and asked to sample a flavor, we tried one flavor and then the person helping us went to check out about 8 people behind us and we waited for about 10 minutes waiting to try another flavor while everyone else was being served. They never came back to us to sample anything else or check out, after a while we just left.... No ice cream. Kind of disappointing.

Seems the ice cream isn't the same. Used to be hard and dense and taste homemade. Now is like store bought with gums and fillers. Very disappointed after coming here for years.

If you, like many vegetarians of a certain age, learned to cook from the Moosewood cookbook, you need to stop by if you are in Ithaca. The staff was pleasant, the restaurant homey, the food was decent but uninspired and something you can get at many mainstream restaurants. There were six entrées on the menu and I think I’ve seen all of them at suburban restaurants in other places.With such an amazing reputation, it would be nice if the special of the day was something that you can’t usually get everywhere else. Salmon salad? The veggie pot pie was deconstructed, with some veggies and a sauce in a bowl and a crescent of crispy puff pastry on top. The curry dish has some spice to it, and the cauliflower was delicious, but a little scant for the price.

This is a bucket list item for me and it did not disappoint. Everything about this restaurant is joyful especially the food experience. The dishes were vibrant, colorful, and delicious. A worthwhile experience and I am so grateful to have experienced it and look forward to trying out the cookbook. Wish there were more restaurants like this one.

Great vegetarian restaurant. I had heard a lot of good things about it on the parent’s group & it surpassed our expectations. Wonderful ambience, great service & delicious food. Definitely recommend. The sweet potato & black eyed pea soup & batatas bravas are a must try.

Having owned the Moosewood cookbook for decades, I was excited to visit this culinary icon of vegetarianism. We loved the green pea hummus especially, but all three dishes we ordered were delicious. Emily provided excellent service on the covered patio. The nicely appointed gift shop, displaying many of the MW cookbooks, had unexpected delights. I purchased a locally made candle with an unusual yet pleasant scent. My only negative which resulted in 4 stars is the inside tables are very close to each other and the original table was crammed next to a wall and was very wobbly. We opted for the outdoor seating as a result. We suggest they consider giving patrons a bit more space indoors.

We'd came here during the Pandemic and were a little underwhelmed but it's THE legendary Moosewoods so when we came back to Ithaca, we knew we needed to give it another shot. Happy that Moosewoods is back and better than ever! Everything was delicious but the vegan tomato soup and curry were the real knockouts. Hope to come back again soon!

The restaurant was a find during my impromptu visit to Ithaca. I read up on the place and saw that it was one of the pioneers in promoting vegan forward cuisine. Even though I love my meat, the menu was so interesting that I had to try it out. And I will say this place did not disappoint. The food was amazing, it was just what I expected. Vegan forward with some amazing ingredients and really tasty. What was a surprise were the amazing craft cocktails, they were banging! Shout-out to the bar folks they have created an amazing menu and the drinks are good! All in a great place to unwind with some great food and cocktails.

Cute apparently famous vegetarian restaurant in downtown Ithaca. Went with my family of 6, including one extremely meat-obsessed male. We started with the bread basket and lemon tahini broccoli for apps. The broccoli was deliciously charred, and the bread was good, but the portions were quite small, and the apps took like half an hour to come out. For entrees we ordered the daily soup with the steelhead, southern peach salad, chili verde, Thai red curry, Moroccan stew, and pasta strozapretti. While all the dishes were good, and the peach in my salad provided a deliciously juicy and sweet pop, there were way too many peas- like half the salad was peas. I really loved the Moroccan stew though, especially the couscous. Everything was fresh and well-flavored, but, despite a decent portion size, for a usually pretty carnivorous family, not super satisfying. Additionally, our server was nice, but the food took super long to come out, and a family that came after us got served like half an hour before us. We ordered the chocolate cake, almond cake, and vanilla homemade ice cream for dessert. I ate the chocolate cake, which was extremely rich and delicious - I loved the vegan whipped cream and orange frosting! I also had ordered a lavender lemonade as a drink, with someone else ordering the regular lemonade, but we couldn't taste the difference. Overall, the food was good and fresh, but the wait times and prices made the experience not super worth it. Glad to have tried it once, though!

There are so many options from bagels to beverages, hot sandwiches to a cold case full of goodies. So many baked goods, and a great selection of oils and hot sauces that would make great gifts. Our food was great, everyone was friendly, and we’ll definitely stop in again when we visit the lakes.

We visited here multiple times over last weekend. Food, coffee, the Mexican bagel, and ended up buying 10 different marmalade flavors to gift to friends. This 100 year old bakery has something to offer to everyone. You can spend a quality time here growing the menu, their merchandise too.

Lots of options! Ordered the reuben and it was soo good!!! Place was very busy around 1030. Place has some parking. People are in and out so you should not have problem looking for a spot. Met some locals and were very nice to give us recommendation and tips for our hiking trip! A must visit if you are in town!

Very yummy plain gluten free bagel with chicken sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and egg. I didn’t have time to make breakfast and I’d never eaten here before. It was conveniently nearby my route to work after dropping off my rental car. It hit the spot. I’d definitely go back when I’m in Ithaca.

Excellent bakery/coffee shop/grocery store/sandwich shop with their own parking lot. Amazing people working here! We enjoyed mocchachino (they make decaf as well), croissants and grabbed fresh sourdough bread.

The Heights is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Ithaca. The food was exceptional—every bite was perfectly executed. I ordered the seabass special, and it was outstanding: delicate, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My daughter had the mahimahi, also a special of the day, and it was just as impressive. Both dishes were fresh and expertly prepared. The service was professional and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. If you’re looking for a truly memorable meal in Ithaca, The Heights should be at the top of your list.

Possibly my favorite restaurant in Ithaca, the Heights always manages to impress me with its innovation, quality, and consistency every time I have had the joy of eating here. The service is always fantastic, and the food choices are always delicious and interesting. Easily my favorite part of the dining experience here is the appetizer selection. There are times when I go with people and we just order only appetizers because they are so outstanding. My favorite is the Portuguese Octopus, and it is among my favorite appetizers anywhere. Other extremely notable mentions are the Short Rib board and the pork cheeks, but honestly, you cannot go wrong with anything they have to offer in my experience. The entrees are outstanding as well, and I love seeing what the specials have to offer, but everything from the steaks to the burger are superb. The desserts maintain the strength of quality, with one of my creme brûlée conessieur friends saying the creme brûlée is among the best he has ever had. The lava cake soufle is also well worth a try, and it always has a fun twist. Overall, the Heights is a fine dining establishment that is not scared to try new things and innovate with its dishes, and it is always a pleasure to experience their exceptional food.

I wish I could leave a 6 star review for this place! 10/10. The food was immaculate, the service was absolutely unreal and the vibe was perfect! From the owner to my server Kirk, everyone treated us like celebrities literally. The food was out of the world and I thought the prices were very fair for the quality of the food. I recommend this place with my eyes closed and I’ll be coming back!! I’ll attach a couple photos but keep in mind my husband and I shared everything and they served us the Duck shared in two different plates so we didn’t have to make a mess doing sharing! We dined here on a Tuesday evening. The service was great! We ordered all specials. The Chilean sea bass with gnocchi and the bone in ribeye with roasted potatoes. The appetizer was a shrimp and crab fritter that we shared. Everything we had was great. The ribeye was medium rare as I had requested. Everything beautifully arranged and plated.

Great restaurant in Ithaca. That chocolate soufflé is crazy good. Steaks were lacking salt in some areas. Not super tender either for the price you pay for. Still good quality food regardless.

I had dinner at The Heights recently and it was excellent. I started with mussels which were perfectly cooked and then had a steak that was flavorful, tender, and well prepared. My server was knowledgeable, friendly, and checked in a few times during the meal which made me feel taken care of without being interrupted. The menu had a lot of dishes that looked good and I could have easily chosen something else and been just as happy. The crowd leaned more toward upscale and older which isn’t usually my scene but it matched the atmosphere of the place. I enjoyed my meal and would absolutely go back even if it’s not the kind of restaurant I’d make a regular stop.

Turned around to go her with my daughter because of the creative name. Customer service was terrible from the time we walked in the door. No smile, obviously no enthusiasm for her job. Didn't answer questions we asked. Prices are pretty high for 1 cookie- $5-6 Taste of cookie, nothing special, I bake better at home.

Insomnia cookies always knocks it out of the park with their cookies and cookie cakes. My kids don't like traditional cakes for their birthdays, they have always preferred cookie cakes. I've been disappointed in the past by other places but insomnia cookies always delivers a cookie cake that pleases. Highly recommend for all your cookie or cookie cake needs.

I’m always curious to stop by here coz it’s cute store color decoration. I tried it first on an event but it was so so coz it’s cold. This time i got it warm, freshly baked, so it tastes good. Recommended!

Ice cream was good, but owner wasn’t that nice. 5 of us got only two ice creams, hoping we could share but we couldn’t. We were asking for a spoon but owner was really angry and snatched the bucket of spoons saying that, there were 2 ice creams which mean only 2 spoons for one. Then we asked why and he said if we wanted on that we had to pay extra. I asked what the price was and he didn’t reply and his bad attitude and manners scared away 2 customers that just came.

I love this place. Definitely going again, they have a amazing variety of icecream and it was so cool to see it being made. Nice and cheep for the quality and new trend. Nice ma and pop shop with a variety of desserts. My parents didn’t get any icecream for themselves but they were regretful after trying a bite of mine.

I am so excited to have an ice cream shop like this in Ithaca! I got strawberry ice cream topped with whipped cream, blueberries, kiwi, and mango, and it. was. heavenly. The process is cool to watch, the service was friendly and quick, and I really can't oversell how good the ice cream is. Can't wait to go back!

My friend is celiac and needs gluten free ice cream. The customer before us ordered cookies and cream ice cream. The man helping us didn't have good English, or pretended not to understand when she asked him to clean the ice cream surface. we explained that she will get sick if he didn't clean it. He would not do it. We asked for a refund. He would not give it. So my friend did not get to eat her ice cream.

A nice local shop with a few savory and sweet hand pie items. I had the lemon-blueberry hand pie. This is definitely an item you’ll want to enjoy right after it’s made, perhaps in the morning. I got mine in the afternoon and it had a harder shell. Possibly if you place it in an oven or toaster oven at home it softens it up. The flavor was nice inside. The outside was a bit sweeter for my taste.

I stopped by Mama Said Hand Pies this past weekend with my Gluten Free friend, and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of options in the store, savory and sweet, GF and not GF. I got the Japanese Beef Curry and a Blueberry Lemon hand pie, my friend got the empanada, and we both loved our food! The dough was perhaps a tiny bit dry, but they were both reheated and packed with flavor!

A friend suggested this place for good hand pies. She was not kidding. They are absolutely delicious. I only had the sweet pies, but there was a nice variety of savory ones as well. There is a handicap parking spot close to the building off the street.

Best supermarket in history, as many people say! Clean, neat and new atmosphere. Food is delicious and nutritious. Wait times are not very long at all. Ample parking, friendly, welcoming employees, and pleasant decor. Highly recommended!

I love Wegmans! This is my favorite store to go to and I recommend everyone to buy grocery and household stuff from here. Anetta at the Wegmans Pharmacy is a great human being and a wonderful staff member at Ithaca's Wegmans. She is very helpful with any question you have and is very kind. Thank you Anetta and Wegmans!

Favorite grocery store anywhere. Shop there every week for decades. House brand stuff always worth substituting for brand names. Best depts are bakery, produce, cheese. Immense microbrew selection. Always cheerful.

New to this area and Wegmans came up in my Google search for grocery stores. OMG! First, it's huge with all kinds of departments. The ailes are well stocked with multiple items of a brand, not just a few. Food departments include a Pizza area, a sushi area that have not just your regular sushi, but also sashimi, and inari tofu pouches, a bowl area where you can order a freshly prepared bowl if you don't want to pick from the myriad of bowls already packaged, soups, subs, cheeses, sandwiches, asian food, etc... I had a really hard time deciding. I also bought their brand of sweet potato chips with sea salt (not too salty, thin and crunchy, so good I had to go back and pick up more), Godiva Dark Chocolate (yummy). I can go on and on. If I live in the area, I would shop here all the time. Absolutely love this place. And the staff are extremely friendly and so helpful too💖. Wish we have a Wegmans where I live!

You clearly have self checkout labeled 20 items or less, yet it isn’t enforced at all, people keep going through with a cart loaded to the brim, making those of us with three items wait on them, also wouldn’t be as big of an issue if there were more than 6 self checkout registers open.

I love a wegmans! this one is huge. the produce is incredible as is the bakery and ready made food section. Wegmans please come to Albany!!! Only downside was very few cash registers open on a busy weekend but that’s no different than other stores recently.

An amazing store on a great spot, lot of parking spots , very good ambience for shopping. Staffs are friendly , attentive , informed. We went to market cafe and food tasted good. But for the price it is not worth. It came around average $20 person( we did not had lot of quantity though). Some food needs refill when we were there. But mostly Asian , pizza foods in the food bar. Soups are available for standard price based on cup size ($5 is min). Variety of beer , no wine sold in the store, big and spacious store.

Ordered a cappuccino which was completely flat with a thin layer of foam on top (as opposed to properly frothed/steamed). It was also scalding hot (AKA over-steamed) and I burned myself trying to drink it. Got a nova lox bagel ($13) and came out to be $17 after subbing for allergens, making one addition, and tax. The additional fees for subs seems excessive and borderline exploitive to people who require these accommodations to eat, especially when the sub ingredients are likely basement price/quality (basing this off the tofutti cream cheese, which is terrible), and in consideration to the fact these are NOT additions, but substitutions. I would say overall maybe try to incorporate allergy friendly ingredients without overpricing for them and train employees to actually make a drink properly so people are getting what they pay for instead of a hot mess (literally). I will say in light of this, the guy who helped me order my food was very easy to talk to and helpful, though he didn’t mention the additional fees for subs.

After a full morning of exploring Ithaca, wandering through Cornell University and chasing waters, we found ourselves a bit hungry. Collegetown Bagels and surrounding were the perfect stops. The area was quiet with school out of session, that only added to the charm. We enjoyed sitting outside and soaking in the calm summer vibes - just what we needed. CTB offers a great variety - bagels, creative sandwiches and assortment of drinks and tempting desserts. There’s definitely something for everyone here.

A lot of options and the ingredients seem pretty good. The taste of sandwiches were pretty average though. The guy at the counter seemed grumpy as well, which isn't the best interaction to start off your day in the morning. The delivery of our food was extremely slow even though we did not have people in front of us. Good location vibe and outdoor sitting.

The bagels are incredible! I also love that you can add various toppings like tomatoes and cucumbers. Please open one up in Ann Arbor, Michigan! Also would love one in Midtown Atlanta. OK, and in Royal Oak, Michigan please. The coffee was good also and so were the lattes perfect ratio of espresso to milk and when I asked for extra hot, the temperature was just right. In short, great place!

Not really a huge issue that you have to order food and drinks at different stations, but the staff’s attitude can make the process a little stressful if it’s your first time here. So basically, sandwiches and salads are at the very back of the restaurant, while soup and pastries are ordered at the counter in the middle of the hallway, and beers or other drinks are at the counter right by the entrance.

I ordered an everything bagel with bacon egg and ham, made sure to emphasize that I don’t want cheese because I am allergic to dairy. I also ordered chipotle aioli which I was charged extra for. I finally got my bagel 45 minutes after ordering and it was a plain bagel, had cheese on it, and had no chipotle aioli. Definitely not happy!

My family was visiting the Finger Lakes for a family vacation and happened to be celebrating three birthdays that week. We ordered three cakes from Rashida Sawyer Bakery and they were all home runs. - first we had the cheesecake. Since it was for an 80 year old, I didn’t get the walnut crust. But everyone agreed it was one of the best cheesecakes we had ever had. - two days later we ordered a 9” two layer strawberry cake. Excellent! But what really was the talk of the dinner table was the dinner rolls. They look like biscuits but tasted like excellent dinner rolls. Everyone was wanting to toast the leftover rolls the next day for breakfast! - finally was had a 6” Black Forest cake two days after that. Again, an outstanding cake! Trust the rating for this bakery … it’s well deserved! I ordered all three cakes at once and although it was for three different days, the bakery managed this well and professionally!

Rashida Sawyer Bakery you did not disappoint! Not only was the chocolate swirl cheesecake amazing, the customer service was exceptional! Can't wait to try the cherry cheesecake and fruit tart we snagged for the trip back to Iowa! I have to agree with the reviews and word on the street. Best cheesecake I've ever had! I’ve been coming to Rashida Sawyer Bakery for years now. I was ecstatic to see you now have a stand at the Farmer’s Market, and decided to write my long overdue review. Wonderful service, and its so nice that the owner and family often work up front. The cakes are outstanding, especially the pound cake, which is moist and has a slightly crackly golden exterior. I’ve gotten my birthday cake here for the past couple of years, and the red velvet cake is moist and decadent with delicious cream cheese frosting. The star, of course, is the cheesecake. Putting nuts in a graham cracker crust is a stroke of genius, the filling is creamy and tangy, and the fruit always tastes fresh and doesn't have the goopy texture fruit toppings often do. I cannot say enough good things, and I’m so glad we have such a nice family business in Ithaca. Highly recommend getting dinner at Diamond‘s next door and stopping by Rashida’s for dessert.

Truly something for everyone. My son is allergic to milk and even here in Ithaca it can be hard to find a good dessert. They have dairy free cupcakes here and they’re absolutely delicious and more than one variety offered. Sorry no pictures of the cupcakes, we ate them too fast!

Great baked good here! I highly reccomend the fruit tarts and carrot cake! Some of the best I've ever had!! We order here often for events and get nothing but complements.

I got this cake for my boyfriends graduation party at his axe throwing business. Thank you for this delicious cake! I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a cake. It was all eaten up by the end of the night. Our family and friends loved it and kept asking where I got this cake! I requested the perfect chocolate icing and a chocolate flavored cake. They even made sure the Ithaca college topper was perfect for us. once again thank you so much!!

Wow -- my daughter chose a chocolate-drizzled cheesecake for her birthday cake and it turned out to be the best cheesecake of my life! Wonderful, kind service, nice presentation (printed cake topper from my photos is from home, not from the bakery), and A+ quality -- Rashida knows what she's doing! We now have a better place than Wegmans or Ithaca Baker to get cakes for future celebrations, and proud to be supporting a black-owned business in Ithaca. Highly recommended!!

I have always wanted to try this establishment, and I finally pulled the trigger. Our server, Matt, was very accommodating and attentive. We sat on the outdoor patio which was lovely. The drinks were very good. The bread and flavored whipped butter were delicious. The mystic tuna salad was delicious and filling. The lobster and shrimp risotto was scrumptious. The Makers Mark steak small plate which ended up being a full sized meal with sides. The sautéed Brussels sprouts were also flavorful. The Caesar salad was very fresh and tasty. There is such a beautiful view.

Had a really nice dinner here. The food is pretty good and the portions are generous. Service staff are extremely helpful and upbeat. Would recommend to anyone in the area. In particular we enjoyed the cookie dessert.

What a great spot! We were visiting from out of town and this was the first spot we hit up even before going to the hotel. The food selection is good, a lot of seafood and italian themed. They were all pretty good dishes. They dont take reservations and even with phone ahead we were given 40 min wait time for 2. We just sat and ate at the outside bar which was right by the live band performance. Loved their set with old school songs! Our bartenders were friendly, food was good, and this waterside establishment was beautiful. Definitely seems like a place to visit in Ithaca! Just mind the wait and parking. Gets busy here.

Came with a group, the appetizer game here is strong. All the ones we had were tasty choices. The ribeye plate was spectacular, cooked to perfection with great slides. The potatoes were crispy but soft, the vegetables were seasoned perfectly, and you get a whole head of roasted garlic too. The location is a huge appeal to this restaurant, making it an even nicer dining experience. Worth a try if you want a dinner on the water.

What a beautiful restaurant to have a beautiful dinner at right on the water with beautiful views. The food was absolutely delicious. We sat outside and had a gorgeous amazing dinner. The tuna roll was absolutely fresh and delicious the steak I got for my main entrée. The waitress advised that it was her favorite on the menu and I ordered it and I am so glad I did it was a really really good steak dinner. If you are in the Ithaca area you have to come here for lunch or dinner. !!

It was our first time to Ithaca-Finger Lakes Region so we googled, checked reviews, asked locals for the best recommendations for great restaurants if we wanted to go to dinner and celebrate a momentous occasion. None mentioned “The Boatyard Grill”… However, on heading on one of our excursions- the ButterMilk Falls we drove passed it, saw the white chairs outside and thought this place looks cool and they probably had seafood-a favourite of ours. So we got to googling and read the reviews which was a blend. I mean you can’t please everyone ☺️ and especially if you cook like we do! So we decided this is where we wanted to go. We called ahead as some of the reviews suggested and the voice that answered was very warm and gave us the headsup that calling doesn’t guarantee a “skip “ in the line but might get you a seat quicker . They don’t take reservations, so it’s basically first come, first serve. After our excursion we went home got dressed … we were sure if it was a dress up or down, casual or what kinda place so we played it safe… Though we seemed to have stood out as most people were in Denim and more on the casual side. But to each is own, but dont feel pressured to dress up unless like us you are celebrating a special occasion. Anyway we arrived and the parking lots were filled so we parked a little distance from the entrance, but it was okay as we love to walk. Though I had on heels. I choose to walk as opposed to being dropped at the Entrance. So flats are fine at The Boatyard Grill. On arrival we were greated with warmth by two hosts. I gave my name and advised that I had called. We were told there would be a little wait and given the option of the outside bar while we waited as there was live entertainment taking place. We walked through the busy restaurant fulled with patrons and workers alike and I am sure everyone knew we visiting lol but we confidently walked to the bar a kind local gestured to us to come to a spot so we could get service. A lovely bartender Brittany came over with a warm smile and made recommendations. They had a Cherry/Bomb Margarita that I opted for and a Burbon on the Rocks! Our server Luke was extremely professional, very polite, warm in his demeanor and displayed superb customer service. Definitely an asset to the establishment. We perused the menu and found many dishes we would have loved to try. We selected a cup of clam chowder, lobster and corn fritters as appetizers, then for the entree we chose the Surf & Turf and Orange Glazed Halibut…and desert the Chocolate Cookie with Vanilla ice cream and caramel. I’m not sure if it was because we were extremely famished or the food was just pleasing to our palettes. But we truly enjoyed every morsel of the dishes we selected. We both shared with each other . The only thing for me is the halibut was a little bland, but there was salt and pepper on the table. I didn’t add any, as the orange glaze sufficed. It definitely is a place I would recommend if looking for a good place to dine with a lovely lake side ambience… Sure in the heart of summer it’s the place to go. The night was a little chilly, but that didn’t detract from our experience and the outdoor patio is heated. Two Thumbs up again to our server Luke! Check it out for yourself!

Dining-in or outdoor seating are currently not available at Just A Taste but curbside pick-up via online is. The street was closed and parking was really bad around the area. We tried their Braised Duck Leg, Bourbon Banana Breadpudding and Shortrib Entree with reasonable price $50 (+tax and tip). We assigned pick up at a specific time and the service was helpful by sending a reminding text. The food was amazingly tasty especially the Bourbon Banana Breadpudding which was soft, creamy and melted in our mouth immediately. The duck leg was also flavorful and tender with appetizing onion & olive. However, the portion of Shortrib Entree was small and not enough for my husband. The order didn’t come with plastic utensils and napkins which was eco friendly but they should’ve let customers know in advance.

I liked the food but the wine and dessert was just ok. Since the owner asked what is ok i will tell the reason. I ordered chocolate soufflé for dessert. When i got the dish. The chocolate was cold and i could tell they just bought the brownies and put chocolate syrup underneath(if i am wrong I’m sorry but still cold soufflé is bad). For the wines. It’s really depends on the personal taste. Just not good for me. I didn’t say it was bad. I said just ok it means not good or bad.

A lot of small plates to choose from, but the quantity is not that great. Usually very crowded, and has long wait times. Has a good selection of wines and beer. The service is adequate and could definitely be improved.

Causal tapas place in downtown Ithaca. The dishes were all good. I'd especially recommend the savoury bread pudding with cheddar and the gratin with gruyere and broccoli. Some of the reviewers sound like they're expecting fine dining here - it's not that; it's solid casual food with a huge variety of dishes.

Yesterday I had an amazing experience at this Indian restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at home. Lady owner is such a warm and kind person-her hospitality truly made the visit special. You can tell she cares deeply about her guests and their experience. The food was absolutely delicious-authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and full of love. Every dish we tried was flavorful and perfectly spiced. The server was also fantastic: attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. On top of everything, the vibe of the restaurant is just perfect-inviting, cozy, and full of positive energy. This place has definitely become one of my favorites, and I can't wait to come back!

Ordered takeaway. Tried a lamb and a chicken dish. Flavors are good but the lamb dish only had 8 very small bite sized pieces of lamb. I expected a bit more considering the $19 price tag for the dish.

The service is sloooooooowwwwwww. They seemed severely understaffed for the amount of customers they had. Definitely dont come here if you are in any rush. We started with the Alu tikki chat, the appearance was not all the way there but it tasted significantly better than it looked. It was very savory, sweet and also spicy but not too spicy. I wish there was more. I got the Karahi Paneer, the veggies were undercooked and there was something very hard and chewy. Overall the flavor for the sauce was good though. My favorite part was trying the lamb shahi korma. The gravy portion was delicious. The dish was supposed to be medium, but turned out mild but that was okay because it still turned out great.

One of my favorite restaurants in Ithaca! I very love with Goat Mango, which is rich and full of flavor, and the mango lassi is the perfect sweet combo with it. Great food and friendly service. Highly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic and satisfying Indian food!

Whenever we are in vicinity we go to this place for Indian food. The staff is courteous and always go an extra mile. The first time we visited, we were way beyond their closing time still they accepted our take away order and gave us chai tea while we waited for our order to be prepared. The second time was during a long weekend and they were packed beyond capacity. After insisting that our parents can't eat any other cuisine, they graciously warned us of the wait time and set the expectations clear before taking our order.They didn't charge us for drinks (Lassi and tea) since we had to wait a bit longer for the food. The food was amazing as usual despite the rush and long queue.

Excellent meal, beutiful even after a delivery. The kofta was tender and tasty the naan bread the best I ever had.

I have the good fortune to discover Sangam(meeting in Hindi) when I made a weekend trip from Vermont to Dalai Lama Library and Learning Center. As luck would have it since I got to my motel late Sangam was open. The welcome and greeting that I received right off the bat from the server Amanda was so sweet that I dined there the 2 nights I stayed in my motel in Ithaca, NY. I had North indian food since I am from North India on my first night and on my second night I had both North and South Indain food. Both dishes in one restaurant that’s rare and impressive. The owners are also great and took great care of me and made me feel right at home literally speaking as I haven’t been back home since I moved from India to USA in 2011. I am going back to Ithaca Tuesday and I am going to pay them a visit and dine there. Thank you so much for the great food, great staffs and great vibes. 🙏🙏🙏

The food was good (I got waffle sticks). It’s an interesting concept to order at the counter and then wait for the food. The opening hours were a little confusing- listed 8 am, told 8:30 am, left and returned and there was a line of people waiting, which is why I gave it a 4 star review. Going to return tomorrow, to try again. We’ll see how it goes!

Absolute GEM of a diner/restaurant ambiance. The fried chicken and hot maple syrup sauce delicious ! Also got Mr.Popular , S’mores waffle & the Cayuga all of which were perfection! I highly recommend !

Waited in line for about ten minutes. I ordered a bacon cheese and egg waffle. It was pretty good. I added more bacon on the side. The caramel mocha was good as well. My sister ordered turkey burger waffle which she enjoyed. It was fulfilling. The table upstairs were left dirty. People were not cleaning up after themselves.

Takeout food was delicious! Twin waffles with the toppings are very filling. They have AMAZING gluten free options as well. Just make sure to ask them for plastic ware if carrying out! 😂

This beautiful spot was nothing less than an absolute delight to visit. There are a few aspects of life that make it as rich and beautiful and glorious as it can be in its little joys, and I’d have to say a waffle café is really high up there on that list. There are a myriad of options, graciously including gluten free options, and framed quotes of Leslie Knope, if my memory informs me correctly, all of which must tell you that this glorious establishment is worth a visit. Or ten. You do you.

Food was 5 stars. I’m not vegetarian but loved the veggie sides so much that I would totally do a veggie combo. The beef and lamb were both good! Service and cleanness could be improved.

I tried this Ethiopian restaurant because I've had many Northern African and Middle Eastern dishes. Service is great, but they are short staffed so be patient. This is a dining experience in a rustic setting. We had the individual dishes, and they were very large. There are also dishes for two as maybe a better price/option. Yebeg Alichca and Yebeg Wat were delicious. The four sides were fabulous, too. Wat, Kik, Gomen and the veggies were great compliments to the Yebeg. The dishes are served with pastry rolls, something like a cepe, to use as an eating utensil. Worth the stop in!!!!

The food is great, the Mushroom Tibs was especially delicious, it's full of flavor with well-balanced seasoning. However, the service kind of ruined the dining experience. I guess it depends on the waiter, and unfortunately, ours seemed upset from the moment we arrived. He didn’t bother to mention the names of the dishes, and at one point he even tossed the wet wipes onto our table when we were nearly finished. We still left a 20% tip as it seems to be the culture here, but I couldn’t help wondering what we had done wrong to deserve such poor attitude.

If there is one place to hit up when you are staying in or near downtown Ithaca, this is definitely the place! I discovered this quaint Ethiopian restaurant while living in downtown Ithaca as a Cornell student, and it’s now the first and only restaurant I go to when I’m back in town. The food is absolutely delicious and made me fall in love with Ethiopian cuisine! My go to is always the individual entree with Doro tibs as the meat of choice and gomen and kilt as my sides. Not only is the food incredible, the portion you get for the price is unbeatable. For context, my ‘go to’ dish (pictured) is less than $25 (excluding tip)! The service here is always a big plus. I had gone at 7PM on a weeknight during the dinner rush, and I seriously think I waited 10 minutes or less for my food. The staff is also super friendly, attentive, and the overall atmosphere is a whole vibe. Would DEFINITELY recommend to check this place out!

I’ve eating at many Ethiopian restaurants throughout the country and in Europe, and this was the worst I’ve had. The veggie dishes tasted too sweet and other dishes were too salty. The service was not bad but our server was obviously miserable and had a bad attitude. They also charge automatic gratuity which is fine, but the 6 dollar sharing fee is excessive. The portions are massive and way too much for just one person. Definitely feels like a tourist trap.

Kudos to the few servers working hard at this very busy restaurant. The food was amazing. Delicious. I loved it. L-O-V-E. I got the two meats + three veggies for one. It's a great portion for its price. My friend and I went on a hike beforehand, so I was cleaning the plate.

Honestly this may be the best Ethiopian food I have ever had. Every bite was incredibly flavourful and satisfying and the portion was extremely generous. We had to stop ourselves from gobbling it up too fast!

Fried chicken was very fragrant, crispy outside and juicy inside, collards on the bottom eased dryness, plus not too salty as common collard though. Pork schnitzel was a good dish to try as well. Easy to eat compare to fried chicken thigh. Mushroom was very munchies. Servers were very attentive and nice. Would love to come back here again

I give this restaurant overall 3 stars due to the lackluster food. The fried chicken was highly recommended by the waiter and is supposedly the most popular dish. He explained that it was sous vide and then deep fried. I expected the dish to be very tender and bursting with flavor, but to be honest the chicken was dry and the batter was pretty bland. I have had better fried chicken from Popeyes, and it doesn't cost $24 for just a drumstick and breast. The chicken is rubbed with a rosemary spread, breaded in a batter that is very very lightly seasoned and is very floury, and of course fried. I would have liked if they served the thigh instead of the breast meat, and I think it could have been improved with a gravy or hot sauce on the side. The collard greens were tender but didn't have the vinegary bite that they should have. The fries were fine and cooked well. Lastly, the pork milanese was actually tasty. I thought they did a good job cooking it; it was crispy and not dry, and the anchovy was a nice touch. The restaurant had great service, and I liked that I was seated right away. They also have an extensive wine list and seasonal cocktails, if that's your thing.

A solid place to eat. The menu is creative and solid. Great burger. Great fried chicken. Cocktail menu is especially creative.

Love their new location. Much more room and open feel. The best fried chicken in town and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere. SO loves the Salmon and I've had many say it's the best in the area. Only thing I've had a few times and not liked is the burger. They have an odd sauce and seasoning I just don't like, but the quality is there. Just a short walk from the Commons and totally worth the stop.

Stopped in for dinner and tried the grilled dates and the cheeseburger both were outstanding. Sensational every time we go!! My husband and I are originally from Los Angeles and discovered this precious gem years ago before they moved to their expanded, current location. The vibe is warm welcomes with eclectic decor. Their menu rotates, it seems seasonally, which is a pleasant surprise to our palates every single time. Gentry and his staff truly pay attention not only to the details when it comes to the dishes but also meticulous with their cocktails. Also, a special shout out to the wonderful bartender, Manny! A 10/10 experience every time!

Tonkatsu was decent, soup is not hot enough. They have pho but difference from ramen is the noodle. Lots of Naruto drawings… pretty cool.

If you’re in Ithaca and haven’t been to Maru Ramen, honestly… what are you doing?! I’ve been going since they first opened and it seems to be getting better each year! The ramen(my personal favorite) has broth that is always rich and flavorful without being overly salty, and the noodles are perfectly chewy. I've tried plenty of other items on their menu (like the purple rice roll pic) and everything is delicious. I also love the casual, relaxed vibe of the space, and the service is always friendly and quick. Overall, Maru Ramen really nails it on flavor, service, and consistency. Definitely worth checking out!

Maru Ramen is a fusion Asian spot that blends Japanese and Vietnamese flavors. The vibe is nice, but for the price, I expected a bit more in terms of quality — though to be fair, the portions are solid. I tried the Tonkotsu Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Ramen, and the Shrimp Tempura Crab Roll. The flavors were okay, but the chashu was overcooked, which definitely took away from the experience. Service was fine — nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Overall, not a bad place if you’re in the area and craving ramen.

Was craving ramen on our trip and i had my hopes up due to the high reviews. The first warning was there when i opened the menu though with you seeing ramen, korean dish, pho, and bunch of other things listed. Generally when they try to do too much it means they dont have main dish they are really digging into. Good ramen spots would focus on just ramen and simple apps like gyoza. I orderd a tonkatsu ramen which is a staple. The broth was disappointing and didnt have the depth. It was overly salty and i think they were trying to make up for the lack of deep aged broth with condiments. Chashu porks were overly dry and the egg was overcooked. I ended up leaving aboug half the ramen. Hall was bit dirty and the one server seemed very overextended. I don't mean to be too harsh though, seemed popular enough with a lot of customers. The price was very cheap and budget friendly as well. Maybe i have been spoiled by Ichiran and other ramen spots in nyc.

My husband & I ate here at the recommendation of a coworker. We had the Ramen with chicken, Spicy Seafood Ramen, Tempura shrimp, and Crab & Shrimp Sushi. The food was excellent. Just be aware Spicy means Spicy! You might want to go with lightly spiced your first time. They serve generous portions of fresh, delicious food. The waiter was very attentive. He noticed that I am "Chopstick Challenged" and brought me a fork. I didn't have to ask. When our water was getting low, he brought more without us asking. Small restaurant, but comfortable. Bring coins to put in the parking meters. We will definitely go back again. I told my friend about it. They tried it and loved it, too.

Disappointing experience. Based on the photos and reviews I expect a bustling, modern restaurant with simple, yet tasty food. It was quite busy as we walked in for dinner, the waiter pointed us to a dirty table, we didn't feel welcome. After we studied the menu and started ordering, I was told that they don't serve sushi, "because it would take too long". Since I was willing to wait for good food, I asked how long it would take, only to be told they are not making any. The ramen, chicken and dumpling we got were mediocre at best. The waiter smacked our food on the table and never came back, nobody offered us a water refill, it didn't seem the staff cared.

I got the papaya juice (5/10), kids waffle (10/10) and the spinwich breakfast sandwich on a heritage roll (6/10). But the veggie burger i got last time was a 9/10 and so was the honey bun. The inside is amazing. My male server last time was a bit creepy, so it took me awhile to go back. But he wasn’t there this time.

The cozy, all-wood rustic ambience and the honey-yellow lighting draw you into this Bavarian/German/Swiss chalet (?) styled restaurant. And the background music is reminiscent of the Swiss music loop playing at Disney World's Pinocchio Village Haus restaurant. (My group of six travelers are from Orlando, so yes, our ears perked up.) // I enjoyed a warm Rachel sandwich, which was served with chips. I also ordered a delicious Hot Apple Cider. Friendly, efficient service & reasonable prices. ALSO: Check out the clean, nicely-done bathrooms; the fireplace; and all the wood-shingled "roofs" over the dining booths. A treat for the eyes & senses.

Everything about this place is fantastic. The charming exterior to the funky space on the inside. The attention to detail in all their menu options (they seem to make everything in house from homemade root beer on tap that is served in a frosty mug, to all the bread that is served there, to the banana milk base in their smoothies, to most of rather sauces and condiments on all the sandwiches. We were greeted as soon as we opened the door, they were very busy around 1130am on a weekend morning in August, by a guy who - once he found out it was our first time at the place - was almost giggling in joy to tell us about the menu and what he recommended. All the drinks were in house, we got a cold apple cider, the root beer on tap as well the smoothie. I would've gone there just for the smoothie. It was strawberry heaven. I will dream about that smoothie. I downed all the drinks and asked for more. My wife got the chili with homemade loaf of bread they give you with it and it had jalapeños in it. It was delicious. I got the reuben which was outstanding. Loved the flavor of the corned beef. I would go here everyday if I lived close. And we saw many locals here as well, it wasn't just for tourists. Seriously, you have to go here. Do NOT forget to get a root beer to-go.

From the sidewalk, this place stood out with its inviting rustic façade and artistic stained glass signage. The menu items posted outside at the entrance was the clincher for me and my family in deciding to eat dinner here. Upon entering, the restaurant appeared to be a world of woodsy booths that are entered from ground level and two staggered levels above-ground. Our waiter brought us to a booth that had to be entered by walking up a spiral staircase. Our booth really felt like a tree house. The food was amazing, especially the bread which tasted like it was made fresh just for us. I had a veggie burger and it was very filling and tasty. I also sampled my son's chili and his jalapeño bread. I also sampled a delicious garden salad. And the total price for each item was very reasonable. There are dozens of locations for the The Yellow Deli around the world. I never heard of this place which is surprising because they just celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2023.

Beautiful place. Vibe upon entering is very cultish and strange. Everyone was extremely polite from greeting to seating us. Then nobody ever came back to our table. When leaving they just looked and smiled.

We were initially drawn in by the cozy-looking photos on their Google page, but our expectations were totally exceeded when we got an early dinner at the Yellow Deli on a quiet evening. Incredibly charming, enchanting even, with woodsy, sprite-ish decor. The service was a little bit slow, but all the better, because the longer we spent there, the more comfortable we felt and the more opportunities to look around. The hand-drawn signage and menus, the welcoming way everything is phrased and presented…you may even catch the old-timey rope dumbwaiter raising and lowering out the corner of your eye. We felt like we were dining in a treehouse with perfect lighting and friendly staff. We had Mango & Mint Matés which were freshly made with real juice and herbs, and the soup of the day (salmon chowder!) and a veggie burger. Everything was delicious. A great rainy day retreat and must-stop eatery in Ithaca!

The veggie burgers were absolutely delicious. They have generous portion of avocado and avocado sprouts. The fresh tomatoes add just the right amount of juiciness. I have tried their mango matte and it was so refreshing. Their cauliflower soup is also a must try.

Had to wait a while longer than we should have considering we had reservations. With that past us, everything else was superb! Great atmosphere and the students were so welcoming and friendly. The meal was fantastic and included tastes I had rarely experienced. It was a true dining experience. Fun and relaxed yet refined and elegant at the same time. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to dine with you!

The Establishment was a real treat. We had a truly memorable evening. The menu has lovely options and the service is wonderful. I did not expect the beautiful views and the fireplace. Can't wait to return!

We had been driving all day and needed somewhere to get takeout and we saw the great reviews for ETA Pie. We were shocked about all the creative options. We got two small pies to split and a Caesar salad. The dressing was really good on the Caesar salad. But the pies were amazing. I loved the eggplant on the pie. Also, the Philly cheesesteak was so good. If I came back to the area, I would definitely come here again and try new flavors.

They have some really good toppings (paneer, fried eggplant) & dressings. The tall guy & the lady are quite hospitable - good cust. service. Hygiene? It's a concern. At around 5 pm, new staff started showing up, removed their snow jackets & straight went to making pizza. Out of 3, just 1 person washed their hands. Humble request to please wash hands before yall start making doughs or throw toppings on 🙏 Apart from that everything is great.

I ordered the “New Orleans” pizza, and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. They accidentally gave me the wrong size, but immediately went out of their way to make it right, and I truly appreciated their effort. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Whether you’re a pizza lover or not, don’t miss this place—it’s a must-try!

Had the Seoul pizza with vegan cheese. It was incredible. First time in a long while to have had good pizza as someone with lactose intolerance. This is a great option for those that don’t do dairy

Fantastic service, respectful and welcoming. The pineapple habanero was just the right amount of spice. Generous amounts of filling and crispy crust. The rumors are true, and the reviews don’t lie. Also, very helpful and patient staff for those with visual impairments.

This is the absolute best gluten-free pizza I have ever had in my entire life. Anyone who has gluten issues order pizza from here. You will not be disappointed.

Been here twice in the past few weeks. The food has been really good, plenty of ways to make the pizza vegan or vegetarian and still tasty. The falafel is especially good and the garlic butter was fantastic. I wouldn't really eat there though, only because it is a bit small on the inside. Maybe the outdoor seating is nice but it was late when we went. Very good pizza all in all.

Cute little shop with very friendly staff. I ordered Thai and oolong tea which are both delicious. The tea itself wasn't filled with ice which is quite nice compare to other shops I've been to. Also the bubbles had a nice firmness & sweetness. I would definitely reccomend this place! Don't forget to BRING CASH

I am more than pleased with the tea. The menu is expansive, and easy to read. The owner is kind and accommodating. The space is clean, and there is a place to sit for waiting. I bought the lavender green tea with coconut jelly. The sweetness is perfect! Not too much sugar and not bitter. And real dried lavender! I will be returning the next time I’m in Ithaca 😁

Pretty decent bubble tea and the service is very good. They have a good selection of desserts in addition to bubble tea. It is also pretty cheap for a bubble tea place. My biggest gripe with this place is that all their flavorings are powder based; they do not use the higher quality syrups that some other places do. This makes a noticeable impact on the flavor. All in all, I'd give this place a 3.5 out of 5 but I've bumped it up to 4 because of their massive selection of flavors/teas and ability to mix/match and get hot or cold for pretty much any flavor. Other places are way more limited.

Pretty good bubble tea place! I've been coming here for 3-4 years now, back when it was still called Old Tea House. The bubble tea here is excellent, but fair warning that recently it's been a little powdery. They also sell other food like pizza cones and waffles topped with ice cream (for the record, the waffle ice creams are huge). Great place to casually chat with someone since they have seating and a patio outside!

Nice atmosphere, lots of variety. Not all drinks are of very good quality (e.g. some of the flavoring is very powdery instead of syrup based like at other places). Cash only. Personally, I think it would be better if they focused on improving a smaller selection of drinks, rather than offering so many.

Panda Tea is the grandmaster of bubble tea in Ithaca, or anywhere else. I've had bubble tea in every city I've visited that had it, in five different countries and every single time I'm disappointed that they do not measure up to Panda! Very friendly service (these guys have our order memorized) and the drinks are excellent. The boba taste and texture are highly consistent visit to visit and taste great! They have free WIFI if you want to hang out for a while, just bring cash because they aren't equipped for cards yet.

We had Silo food truck at our wedding and all of our guests raved about the food! Seriously, it was delicious. They were as accommodating as possible with our guests' various dietary needs, super communicative, and extremely reasonably priced. And the folks on the truck were super friendly! 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

We’ve been eating at Silo for several years now and can honestly say they have the best fried chicken, Mac and cheese and French fries in the region. My son, who’s a vegetarian, also loves eating at Silo because they make an excellent tofu sandwich and have lots of great vegetarian/vegan options. Try the green curry sauce!

Fried chicken (or tofu) with a twist. Several different unique sauces, served with fresh-cut fries, Mac n cheese, or purple sticky rice. You can order at the truck outside or with a QR code at your table in the brewery. If you're inside they'll bring your food right to the table.

Silo is where it’s at! They have something for everyone, and it’s all delicious. Although they’re known for their fried chicken and mac and cheese, the tofu sandwich with the creamy slaw is my go-to order. Plus, they have the best fries in the county! Fresh-cut, crispy, and perfectly salted with many topping and sauce options. I recommend the disco fries.

Great food! Great Beer! Ordered the hot knuckle sandwich (with extra hot!) and mini Mac from inside Liquid State Brewery. It came fast right to the table and it was DELICIOUS! The Extra HOTT sauce was super tasty, and the sandwich was excellent- great bun, crispy moist flavorful chicken, pickles, sauce- all wonderful. And the truck fries? Perfect! The mini mac n cheese was a great side-mild and cheesy. We love the beer at Liquid State and now we love the food-from Silo!

Silo has two locations, at the Liquid State Brewery in Ithaca, NY and on Thursday's June through October at The Pumpkin Stand in Ovid, NY. I have yet to stop by these locations and though I am 100% sure that the quality, flavors and service are still top notch my review is solely based on their very busy food truck. I have visited this food truck at many local events. Their chicken is sustainably farmed, all-natural, and free-range. All of the ingredients they use are from local, organic farmers. All of their chicken is bone-in dark meat. Each bite is moist and flavorful. My favorites are the Green Coconut Curry which is a 1/2 lb. of fried chicken with green curry over purple coconut sticky rice, greens & house-made Asian Trio pickles. The Telekinetic Chicken has a seasonal fusion BBQ sauce on the fried chicken along with the sticky rice and pickles. Both are flavor popping perfection. The sides are also created fresh and are delicious. Silo also makes a mac & cheese that is to die for. They make their own bechamel sauce as well as use NY extra sharp cheddar cheese. They have many variations of their Mac and cheese to try. The owners are amazing, always interacting with their customers, and showing them how much they enjoy what they do. This in turns makes their food more beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend checking them out.

Really wanted to like this place since I’m from the South and they claimed to do southern style chicken. First time I went it was disappointing so decided to go again thinking maybe they had an off day and that trip was worse. The chicken itself is fine but it’s two small pieces of thigh on the sandwiches. The “field greens” is just spinach. The bun on one sandwich was so hard it wasn’t edible. Both times we went the fries came out lukewarm. The truck gravy and mac and cheese were both pretty good though. If this place was in the South they’d be run out of town with those $15 sandwiches.

I originally ordered an espresso martini and a veggie flatbread. But, I loved the atmosphere, food, and service so much I added an Americano and stayed longer. Jennifer and Caleb make a guest feel like family! They are amazing, and so is the Greenhouse Cafe.

Used to come here a lot. I was here yesterday and enjoying my matcha latte - until I have felt something in my mouth as I take my last sip. There was this white-pinkish, hard bead thing in the drink, still no idea what that is but that thing broke between my teeth as I chewed. The lady on the counter said she has no idea and mumbled that she is sorry, and didn’t offer me any refund or redoing the drink (it was other male staff member who made my drink fyi). Didn’t ask me if I was okay at all or anything - it was a very awkward moment. Having an unidentifiable object in your drink is a food hazard? Think it will be my last visit.

This is a chill little spot where your comfortable retro bar meets an internet coffee shop. If you're looking for comfort and a friendly smile, this place seems to be the spot. The coffee is amazing, with cool little games in random.places. Summer was our bartender, and was very helpful giving us cool tips about the town and area surrounding.

We only had drinks but the drinks were great and all 3 bartenders on Saturday evening during apple fest were wonderful! Very pleasant and custom made a shot from a loose recipie we had, and they were so fun! The plants hanging all over made the environment sooo relaxing and chill, such a cute place. We appreciated the vibe, the banter and delicious drinks, cant wait to come back!

Walked in yesterday expecting to order some salads. Stood at the counter for sometime, and I have no problem waiting for service. But the gentleman behind the counter gave us no eye contact. No acknowledgment. What seemed like many awkward minutes later he finally looked my way and literally rolled his eyes. I had no choice, but to walk out. I have no problem, waiting for service, especially when it seemed he was working alone. I would’ve understood if it took some time to get our order placed but to roll his eyes at me was uncalled for.

This is a really cool cafe in Ithaca downtown. A nice place to grab a cocktail, mocktail or a coffee drink. Food was yummy. Loved the atmosphere inside. There are board games as well.

Visited One Ring Donuts last weekend after hearing about their donuts! they have a donut club where you get donuts weekly, but i totally was unaware of this and showed up right after they sold out and were only giving donuts out to club members only! luckily, the staff were so sweet and managed to find us some extra brioche donuts filled with matcha custard. the dough was fluffy and dusted with matcha powder, and the custard was lightly sweet and tasted super strongly of matcha! honestly, i loved the donut because it wasn't very sweet at all and was the perfect dessert for me. y'all should definitely stop by for a delicious treat if you're ever in the area! highly recommend !!

My partner and I keep trying to find a comparable donut place in other towns and we are continually disappointed because One Ring is SO good! I'd never had a potato-based donut before but they are moist, dense in a good way, not overly sweet, and of course, you can't taste the potato. Brioche donuts are a more recent addition to the menu and are also delicious, light and fluffy and still not overly sweet. I live in Ithaca and have been a faithful customer since they opened. A great mix of unique and traditional flavor offerings, along with seasonal rotations (my favs are anything with chocolate, my partner loves the tea-based flavors). The owner is so kind and this place is a great facet of our community. Please give this delicious local business a try!

Great donuts and a great company. I love the unique and different flavors One Ring Donuts offers. Some of my favorite flavors are the raspberry lemonade and London fog. I am a big fan of the brioche donuts and especially love the lemon curd filled ones! One Ring has vegan and gluten free options and uses quality ingredients. I highly recommend them!

This place is amazing. Some of the best donuts I've ever had. They are fried fresh daily, so if you like fried dough (and who doesn't?) you have to try these. The taste and texture, the chew, is very compelling. They only have coffee and donuts for now, but both of those things they do extremely well; their drip coffee is the perfect complement to the sweet treats. All of the flavors I've tried (vanilla glazed, gluten free double chocolate, raspberry lemonade) are delicious.

I love supporting small businesses whose values I believe in, and One Ring is a wonderful business. They are owned by active members of the Ithaca community who constantly work for progressive change. On top of that, their donuts are amazing - as someone who is gluten free, I'm obsessed with their lemon poppy seed donut - it's definitely the best gluten free donut I've had thus far. I like more cakey donuts, and One Ring delivers!

One Ring Donuts is run by an amazing group of humans who care so much about their customers and the quality of their donuts. Their flavors are interesting and regularly changed and I've never had one I didn't like! And I have had a lot. Thai Tea is my favorite and is a staple at the shop.

Best local coffee in town! Actually, best coffee in town. Well…actually actually, best coffee. In all seriousness I love the environment and quality of coffee in the shop. All of their drinks are good, but my personal faves are “the not chai” and “the empress”. I bring all of my friends that come to visit me. They love it too!

There is something truly special about Nothing Nowhere. You walk into Home Green Home and are immediately surrounded by plants, the scent of freshly brewed coffee, and the rays of positivity that are Caleb, Kate, Brendan, and Denise. You will not only have the best coffee you ever had (ask for the secret menu), you will also have one of the best experiences in a coffee shop ever. The four mentioned above, truly care about all their customers and the experience that they have in their shop. Every single drink, baked good, and even the cups are also locally sourced. The chocolate for the specialty drinks are from oracle chocolates, the baked goods are from Little Ram's, and there are many products from the Ithaca Generator here as well. This place is truly a gem in Ithaca and is an absolute must visit.

Love the barista here! Always try to come here when I am in town. He makes a mean espresso and always has something unique for the special. Such a treat right by the commons. Recently started stamping new cups too, super hip

This is a gem of a coffee stand, located in Home Green Home. There are a couple of seats inside, but no other sitting area. There are a handful of drink options, and I opted for the iced coffee that was very good. The service was fantastic and very friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough.

My favorite coffee shop in Ithaca. I do think their coffee and espresso drinks are of the highest quality in town. (Alley Cat & Gimme also great). They are also super fun and great baristas that can do cool latte designs.

It is actually truly the best coffee in town, great bespoke care brought to each cup, and the barista never fails to bring a smile to my face. They will sing you songs, discuss art and tell you how they aren’t running a business but rather a performance art experiment. Definitely my vibe.

For a small coffee shop and select home goods, you get a feeling its more than that. Great vibes, excellent coffee and nice selection of goods. The coffee art is special and extraordinary. A must visit place.

Great steak done cooked medium well! We arrived an hour early but the host was still able to sit us comfortably and we had a great time. The only reason why I don't give it five stars us because of the dessert. I decided to share the vegan chocolate with my brother but it was so rich that we couldn't finish it. Overall, I would definitely come back. The appetizers and entrees are worth it.

This was my favorite restaurant in Ithaca. They recently went through a major renovation of the menu and the restaurant itself. The decor is improved but it was always good. The menu was very good before, but probably did need some updating. Unfortunately, they went from very good food that was nicely presented to a bad imitation of a mediocre pub. The food was loaded haphazardly on the plate and was so loaded with salt, it is hard to even recognize any other flavor. There were a few vegetarian options on the menu that might have been better, but they were not available. The good news is that the deserts have not changed and the bar is as nice as always. One note, however, is that the wine menu was dramatically cut and skewed to mostly uninteresting selections (with the exception of a few good local wines).

My wife and I recently enjoyed a fabulous lunch here and we were treated exceptionally well. We were travelling with our small dog and she was made to feel welcome out on the patio where we ate. The mushroom sandwich was spectacular and then there is the desert bar, it must be seen to be believed. Highly recommended!

The food was pretty good up until dessert. The server presented us with a broken cheesecake that was of poor flavor and texture. The server was also very dry and dull, we did not feel very welcome by him, however he did take the cheesecake off of the bill when we mentioned we did not like it. Was pretty disappointed after so much praise I received about the restaurant prior to my attendance.

Nice upscale atmosphere with amazing desserts.... Absolutely amazing deserts. I was here this summer and the service wasnt bad but it wasn't friendly either. The waitress didn't understand my drink order.... So I stopped by the bar to explain it... And I was lightly snapped at and told to explain it to my waitress. I'll definitely be back... Hopefully the bartender was just having a bad day.

Okay let's start with the fact that we got here and we're told that it was a 30min wait but 2 1/2 hrs later we finally sat. Okay so we sit and our wine doesn't come for another 20min. We ordered 3 burgers which we all well done and ordered medium rare-medium. I ordered seared scallops and they were actually more boiled scallops that smelt the second they sat them down. All in all I would never come back here again and for the price I would never come again.

Good place to go for dessert, big case of cakes and pastry that aren't your standard fare. Very nice place, feels cozy and trendy. Great service. Coffee is just okay and the cups are small. On the pricier side for sure. Worth a stop if dessert is your thing.

One of the best places to get crepes, very nice selection of toppings and made fresh in minutes. The person who works is also are very kind and exceptionally generous, would recommend and support this local business 🙏🏻

We decided to try this restaurant while visiting Ithaca. When we arrived we were the only people in the store & it took a long time for the food to come out (we were told 10 minutes but were sitting waiting for a good 25 minutes). The crepes themselves are ginormous and can definitely be split between multiple people.

The banana split was HUGE! A dream place for anyone who really loves sweets like me. The picture doesn’t do it justice because it’s a bit melted (my bad), but it was the best split I’ve had. I added gummy bears to it too and it gave it a nice contrast. The only thing I will say though is the wait was long, but I understand there was just one person working there. Besides that, I wish this place was by where I live!

The owner was super nice! He also made us an awesome shake.

Saw a line a mile long at the other ice cream store. Ended up at Rosie's instead. What a fabulous little spot it is. I loved that they had games and plenty of seating! The ice cream was to due for. My boyfriend got a strawberry pound cake ice cream sunday that was amazing, I got a flurry with butterfingers and reese's pieces. Both were absolutely delicious. Bring cash :-)

Great spot! Fun environment tucked in a corner with games for kids and adults alike. Wait time was less than 5 minutes. We both had the Limoncello milkshake which is a house special! They do not take card, bring cash or Venmo is accepted. Thanks for a great time!

She does a great job. Takes a ton of care in presentation. Several sauces are homemade and the peanut butter sauce is sourced from an organic farm in California. The brownie was homemade too. We had a Sunday and a brownie Sunday. Definitely going back.

Employees were super friendly and their scoops of ice cream were generous. Also really enjoyed playing connect four and ace throwing game while enjoying our amazing Perry’s Ice Cream. Wonderful, fun outdoor atmosphere, despite the raindrops.

The ice cream? Oh, it’s excellent — quite possibly the best in Ithaca. Creamy, flavorful, basically a frozen masterpiece. But actually getting to eat it? Now that’s the real adventure. Since last September — when, naturally, it was the first ice cream shop in town to close for the season — we’ve found it closed at least half the times we’ve tried to go. It’s like they’re running an ice cream speakeasy with a secret schedule only whispered to a chosen few. In May, we dared to ask when they’d reopen. “The weekend of the 11th!” they said with all the confidence of someone who definitely wouldn’t actually open until the end of the month. Last weekend, fortune smiled. We arrived at 8 PM and, miracle of miracles, they were open! We even asked the girl making the ice cream about their hours. “Until 9 on weekdays, 10 on weekends,” she assured us. So tonight, armed with that info and foolish optimism, we showed up at 9:10. Closed. Again. At least there was a sign this time — a rare artifact — which may or may not remain accurate past this week. We leave it here in hopes it might help some other poor soul with a craving and a dream. Godspeed.

Absolutely wonderful experience everyone we come in! The owner is very present, always teaching staff, greeting the regulars, making it feel very hometown style.... Great variety of flavors and dairy free options! Worth the price for the added attention customers receive. Plus I like to see people making my ice cream! Will keep going as long as they stay open!

First visit and it was excellent! The store smelt sweet, the employees were kind and knowledgeable. I did the you create and got the blueberry muffin batter with graham crackers, it was delicious and well worth the price! The ice cream tasted creamy, soft not hard. I returned another day and got the cake batter milkshake. It was very delicious, tasted like drinking a liquid cake, it was spot on and well worth the $8.

I think this is the best cold stone we’ve been to. Lots of different mix ins, no sold out flavors, kind and fast staff, clean facility. My fiance was excited to see that yall had crunch bars. Kudos!

I am incredibly disappointed in the ice cream cake I recently received from this location. The cake inside was completely dried out and there is nothing else to the cake beyond cake and ice cream. There are no fillings that you typically receive in ice cream cakes from any other brand, which I knew when I placed the order, but since the cake layers are so awful, all I got out of a $35 cake is some plain strawberry ice cream.

The fact that they would denied the bathroom to a driver that helps them make money is crazy to me. As a delivery driver i wouldn't never pick another order from them. We supposed to be partners and that's not how you treat your partners. As a customer the prizes are outrageous.

When you're having a craving for ice cream, do yourself a favor and visit Cold Stone. You won't regret it!

Everything in here has been delicious. It's an old school vibe inside with a large rotating display case and a milkshake bar. All the handmade chocolates are pricey but the taste is miles better than anything mass produced. Also have all the name brand candies including some Jelly-Belly dispensers with local themed colors. Pros: Everything is delicious. Cons: Can easily spend way too much on chocolate here.

Chocolate perfection! I love their homemade truffles. They also host the Wizarding Weekend and create many Harry Potter themed treats. Worth a visit, try their lake inspired chocolate bars!

My girlfriend and I try to go here whenever we visit the Commons. Selection is limited in terms of prepackaged candies. However there is a nice selection of chocolates. Definitely worth checking out

Dolce Delight is full of cozy delightful decor, like Christmas villages, Christmas trees, and vintage cards and gift bags. They have homemade pop tarts (were sadly out of stock today when I went around 2pm though), truffles, biscottis, and all flavors of cookies and pies. The raspberry iced latte confused me a bit because I was expecting it to taste more like raspberry but it was almost chocolatey; it was pretty good though.

Dolce Special was truly special! We absolutely loved the chipotle biscuit and hot pepper jelly - had a nice kick in it and was very flavorful. Our six daughter had Sweet Piggy - the bagel was very cinnamony and tasted pretty much like a French toast with bagel texture. Definitely recommend everyone to give Dolce Delight a try if you are looking for an alternative to Collegetown Bagel.

Absolutely loved our trip to Dolce Delight! I ordered a Dolce Special but substituted bacon for ham. Everything about the sandwich was phenomenal. The biscuit had crispy caramelized cheese on the outside and was fluffy on the inside, the egg and bacon were perfectly cooked, cheese melty and the pepper jam rounded out one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. My husband had the Joey on an everything bagel and he said it was really good as well. We also got an iced mocha and iced coffee. The mocha was so well balanced: not too sweet with great chocolate flavor. The iced coffee had a great flavor and was not too acidic. So impressed with everything! Also, loved the vibes. You can tell that this is a spot the locals enjoy and frequent and everyone seemed to know each other.

Place was slammed over lunch, but service was top notch and food is AMAZING! The dolce special tastes even more flavorful and delicious than it sounded to me and it sounded awesome! What a delicious place, thankful we stopped. The Chipotle biscuits are to die for, perfect amount of sweet and spicy. Definitely gonna need napkins, but soo flavorful!! My wife created her own sandwich on the biscuit and staff was very attentive and helpful even when there was a line of customers. Cookie wasn't as soft/fresh as I hoped when I saw it at the store, but still delicious! Soo good, we'll definitely be back!

Wow this place was AMAZING! The pastries and the breakfast sandwiches were both out of this world. I loved the dolce delight and others in my group loved the moose and sweet pea sandwiches. Don’t skip on the pastries too, especially the cinnamon roll!

Food was good for the price range and comparable to a lot of other diners. Bacon was nice crispy, eggs are perfectly cooked, and veggies taste fresh. Sandwiches are very well balanced. However, they need to improve their service and communication. As shown in other reviews, it happens often enough that this restaurant forgetting your order and/or just letting your food sit there until it's cold is an issue. And once they finally get the food to you, they give you a "hurry up and leave" attitude. It's extremely ironic for a place that has a sign that says "Be Nice" that they can't even say something like "Sorry for the wait" or communicate why there's a delay.

I never liked frozen yogurt but Smart Yogurt converted me. That's how awesome it is. They have two locations - one on Route 13 heading out of town toward Elmira and the other is at the mall next to Planet Fitness. Who's idea was that anyway? ;-) The flavors are always changing, they have a million toppings and you get to keep the nifty plastic spoon. What's not to love?

I usually come here and workers are always respectful and polite but today morning was the worst, I usually don’t have time to drink my chai latte through out the day at work which I asked today for light ice so it wont be watered down, I understand it will be given a bit less than usual but NOT close to half the cup. At first they filled the whole cup with ice which I reminded the lady I asked for light ice, The lady was being very disrespectful and nasty and was talking to me like I was her child, then she took the ice out and left my drink like this. My boyfriend got a regular iced latte which is the last picture and as you can see the ice is half the cup and I got more ice than him at first. I understand workers have a bad day too but that doesn’t give them the right for them to treat us like garbage. This is disappointing and hopefully it doesn’t happen again.

This location has an excellent morning crew!!! Drinks are always on point even though it's been KIOSK ONLY for a few days now. ..and the stupid kiosk is SO short. I'm only 5'2 and I have to SQUAT to use it!!! It's absurd. if somebody came in and adjusted the height of it it would be tolerable. 4 stars due to that

I just wanted to give the employees at this location a huge shoutout. After dealing with the horrible service at the other location in town, these employees always treat me with the upmost kindness. What the other location is doing by sending people to this location for hot food is not fair and I appreciate that the employees here still treat everyone with kindness.

3 months ago my wife and I was at this dunkin location. My wife was going to apply for a job and when she stepped outside and I was still eating my meal, I heard a couple of the workers the manager included talking about my wife like how one of them seen my wife having a seizure and that they wouldn't hire someone like that, they were even giggling. So rude and discriminate they were, I didn't say anything to them because I didn't want to lose myself to my anger. They had no right talking about her like that and the fact they have someone working there who is on the registry and they want to judge my wife because of her health issues is very hypocritical.

This is one of the fastest service Dunkin around, it takes less than a minute for someone to get their order and they're on their way! Great employees here, orders are accurate, and it's quick service.

I spent almost $6 on a large latte and it felt super light, after getting to work and opening it it wasn’t even halfway filled.

I don't understand how a place that refers themselves as a donut shore can have the shittiest doughnut selection out of any place I've ever eaten doughnuts from! Even when they aren't sold out which is hardly ever unless you are shopping when they first open, most doughnuts are sold out and the ones that aren't are stail, and or just aren't good doughnuts to eat! They need to rethink their entire doughnut lineup!

The icecream was incredibly tasty, and it was a perfect place to bring a friend on a hot day, though there wasn't much space in the shade. They do attempt to provide this service but I really believe theres room for improvement at this great small business. Even so I enjoyed my time here.

This place is awesome. We had four nine year olds that took forever to order from the 20 or so flavors and they were so patient. Then as we got our cones one of the kids dropped hers on the ground. They replace it immediately, no questions asked. This is the way businesses are supposed to be.

Their ice cream is delicious and cheap, staff is friendly and fun, nice scenery, and very close to the Danby disc golf course!
