Chicho Gelato Fremantle offers a unique gelato experience with its innovative flavor combinations like green tea roasted rice and avocado candied bacon. The funky interior of the place in Northbridge adds to the charm. What sets Chicho apart is their effort to source ingredients from local suppliers in Western Australia. Customers appreciate the friendly staff and reasonable prices for quality gelato.
My favourite gelato in Perth! It’s so hard to choose my favourite flavour. You can tell it’s made with so much love and all natural flavours unlike a lot of the other gelato spots in freo. Some advice for everyone reading this- don’t bother going anywhere else for Gelato! Chicho has the best flavours, taste, service and vibes!!!
Vanessa D — Google review
One of the best gelatos I’ve had in Perth. Good range of creative flavours, which you’re able to test before buying. The honeycomb lavender flavour comes with an actual honeycomb. Good relief from the heat on a sweltering summer day.
Brey — Google review
Tried Chicho for the first time yesterday and I am beyond stoked we went and can’t wait to come back! If you’re looking for your next sweet craving fix, look no further than Chicho’s in Freo. My friend and I got hot choccys, and I also tried the lavender & honeycomb gelato and it was delicious! There were such big chunks of honeycomb which I thoroughly enjoyed and the lavender was subtle but creamy and rich in flavour. The girl that worked last night (wish I asked her name), was also super nice and treated every customer kindly. Can’t wait to come back and try other menu items and specialty gelato flavours!
Natalie Y — Google review
We tried the Chocomallow and it was definitely worth it! The hot chocolate was quite tasty with the highlight being the toasted marshmallow that's swimming the centre of it! The ice cream flavours are also quite tasty with the option to have chocolate drizzled onto it. It's on the pricier side and the line can get quite long due to limited staff and small interior. Parking in Fremantle can be tricky but there is street parking around.
Kim K — Google review
Clean aesthetics with small indoor dining area. Tried the banana toasted rice and limoncello combination gelato- rich banana taste followed by toasted rice after-taste. It was interesting and worked out well. Limoncello had the bright sour taste balanced by tinge of sweetness. Would try again!
Abby Y — Google review
Went for a day trip on Sunday and the weather was terrible. Came across this little gem of a shop and had one of the best hot chocolates of my life. Rich, creamy, decadent and oh so comforting on a wet windy day. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I love the Gelato here. Nice and smooth. The hot chocolate is fantastic! The staff is friendly and helpful.

The venue offers seasonal menus and specializes in artisanal breads baked using wood-fired, volcanic-rock ovens. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere while indulging in delectable dishes made from locally sourced produce.
This place is beautiful. Great atmosphere. Staff are very friendly. Drinks are very nice, the bread is incredible. Probably the highlight of the entire experience was the warm bread served. Great crust, soft texture, they really know what they are doing here. The pickles were very noteworthy The lighting is very nice, music sets the mood really well as well. It’s a bit fancy, but sometimes fancy is what you need. Would recommend

One of the best restaurants in Perth. All of the dishes are presented with vibrant colors, appealing presentation, and freshness from seasonal local produce . We’ve been coming here since it opened & it never fails to deliver.
Barrie T — Google review
Lovely dining experience at Bread in Common. The staff were well-trained and very attentive. The food was all exceptional, however, the portions were much smaller than expected and we were all left still feeling hungry despite ordering 10 dishes for 4 adults and 2 kids to share. I was a bit shocked to see a $20 plate of halloumi was a measly single strip and a serve of broccoli was only 4 florets and a serve of roast potatoes came in a bowl the size of baseball. It was a shame because everything tasted delicious, just slightly larger portions would be appreciated or recommendation from the staff to order more than one serve for sides.
Ebony P — Google review
Food, drinks and vibes were awesome. A lil pricey but quality is what you get. Love the butter that comes with our bread. We ordered the duck fat potatoes, broccoli, fish and chicken. Everything was delicious.
Jamie L — Google review
Food was amazing! The potato hash browns are so addictive, with the curry sauce, wow. The prawns were awesome too. If I could go back in time I’d make sure to save some bread to mop up the sauce!
Max R — Google review
Relaxed Sunday Lunch. Everything in the menu is tempting. Best oysters I’ve ever had. Amazing beetroot carpaccio, kingfish crudo fresh and delicious. The wine selection is big enough to find something different and inspiring. Really enjoyed every bite
Sam S — Google review
Food was delicious! Everything is fresh and perfectly cooked. A little pricey for the portion you get in my opinion. Staff are well trained and accommodating.
Enoki D — Google review
This was the place that made me rethink on what I thought was the best restaurant in Perth. Bread in Common might just take the first place in my heart — we came back twice on this Perth trip and made this stop our last dinner simply for the undeniably outstanding lamb ribs. It was crisp on the outside but so soft on the inside, a perfect juxtaposition we haven’t had in lamb in a while. It was so good we didn’t get the change to take photos — we completely devoured it under 15 minutes with not one thing left on the plate so we promise you would not want to miss this dish. The beef dish set on kale was also extraordinary! Highly recommend that dish too. Overall such a great vibe with friendly and professional service. Will miss this place!

La Sosta is a vibrant and cozy Italian restaurant in Fremantle, known for its delicious seafood dishes like Chilli Mussels and Crab Linguini. The restaurant's striped walls and patio seating create an energetic atmosphere, making it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. La Sosta has been recognized with the Ospitalita Italiana accolade by the Italian Council, highlighting its commitment to quality and authenticity.
We went here after getting out of bed late after a night on the town 😬. We were looking for a late breakfast. I'm so glad that we ended up having lunch here instead. Everything was perfect 👌🏾 the pizza, the pasta, the risotto. The service was the best I've experienced anywhere in a long time. Finished off our lunch with an affogato. Can't wait to go back for dinner soon.
Heidi M — Google review
Unfortunately the food didn’t meet our expectations. We tried four different pastas, but each lacked flavour and balance and none of us finished our meals. The gnocchi, for example, could have used a more sauce and some acidity, while the ravioli felt quite monotone in flavour. At $36–$37 per plate, it was hard to justify the price given the overall experience. This is sadly a no return venue.
Courtney B — Google review
We found La Sosta by accident just walking past. We had an amazing dining experience the food was exceptional. The stuffed zucchini flowers and octopus were fantastic. The main lamb shoulder was a stand out.
Lachlan I — Google review
I dined at La Sosta for the first time. I'm not a big fan of Italian food, but La Sosta has changed my mind. I had the lamb shoulder with vegetables. The meat was succulent and fell to pieces. The vegetables cooked to perfection. I had a glass of Monti Nord Est Vermentino, which was delicious. Followed by Tirimasu, which was lovely. Whilst the resturant wasn't busy, being a rainy week night. There was still a lovely atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive to our needs and was able to answer all our questions. They have a balcony which would be lovely to dine on, in warmer weather. I'll definitely be back.
Tan S — Google review
Lovely staff, food lovely. Once your main comes the service ends! Octopus entree lovely! Mains pork and pesto pasta lovely, def recommend! Ladies toilet upstairs which boggles the mind! Ladies always use the bathroom more than men. I would recommend.
Vanessa G — Google review
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The Lasagnole Gamberi e Pistacchio was rich in flavor, with a fragrant pistachio-garlic sauce, fresh prawns, and perfectly cooked pasta. The Tiramisu was delicate and smooth—well-balanced with just the right hint of bitterness, beautifully finished with a sweet chocolate stick. A special thanks to Letizia, the waitress, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. She patiently explained the menu, promptly cleared our plates after the pasta course, and anticipated my needs. Her plating of the Tiramisu was especially impressive—both elegant and inviting.
Zeshen C — Google review
Our visit exceeded our expectations. The pasta was perfectly al dente. We ordered the pork sausage and sage ravioli and they were filled generously and meat was surprisingly juicy. The linguine flavour was well balanced with acidity from the tomato and had a good amount of chilli. My only suggestion for the linguine would be leaving the fish to be in larger chunks so that they don’t overcook compared to the small neat cubes which maybe they opted for presentation. Calamari was crispy but not oily. Service was great and I appreciated they changed our plates and cutlery between entree and mains even though I wouldn’t classify this place to be fine dining. Would be happy to come back again.
L C — Google review
I had dinner here last night and was thoroughly impressed. The Lasagnole Gamberi e Pistacchio and Pappardelle al Ragu Di Agnello e Tartufo were both outstanding! The lamb was beautifully tender, the flavours rich and moreish, and the portion sizes generous, offering excellent value for money. I couldn’t finish my meal simply because I was so full, which was disappointing only because it was too delicious to leave behind! The service was equally exceptional. Our waitress was warm, attentive, and perfectly timed in her approach. She made us feel genuinely cared for and even offered to take our photo, which was such a thoughtful touch. All staff were professionally presented and carried themselves with pride, reflecting the high standard of the restaurant. The setting was elegant yet unpretentious, with ambient golden lighting complimenting contemporary design that created a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Overall, an outstanding experience from start to finish — I will definitely be returning.

A truly special 5-star experience at Emily Taylor's! My husband and I recently celebrated his 40th birthday at Emily Taylor's, and it was an absolutely lovely experience from start to finish. We had high expectations, and they were certainly exceeded! The food was, without a doubt, delicious – every dish was a delight. The drinks were just as impressive, perfectly complementing our meal. However, what truly made our night unforgettable was the exceptional service we received from our waitress. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make the occasion special. My husband was even presented with a complimentary glass of bubbly upon arrival, a lovely touch that set the tone for the evening. To top it all off, dessert arrived with a birthday candle, and our wonderful waitress even sang "Happy Birthday." These thoughtful gestures made my husband's 40th birthday truly memorable and special. Thank you, Emily Taylor's, and especially to our fantastic waitress, for an incredible dining experience. We highly recommend it!

I took my partner here for our anniversary lunch and I am so glad I did. Not only was the food so delicious but the service we received was incredible. All the staff were lovely especially Pietro. He had the biggest smile on his face always and was really funny. Made the whole experience fun and special. Highly recommend this place for amazing food and exceptional service. 10/10

Second time I came here. It's nice to get away from the crowd of the Market. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Nice modern decor. Staff are very attentive. Food is Asian fusion and lovely. I'm not really fond of eggplant/aubergine 🍆 but the ones I had, had a nice light crunchy batter and the sauce was delicious. Will order it again. They have yum char from bout 9-1130am on Sunday so will try to make it. They also have a Lunch special $69 for 2. Pick any three dishes. Well worth it.
Rob T — Google review
Incredible food, and personable and friendly staff. Everything was amazing, we were so full afterwards. Surprisingly well priced too, and a cozy atmosphere, even outside, they have heaters everywhere, and extra cushions and blankets to make you feel right at home. Standout dishes were the lamb ribs, Peking duck pancakes and the beef cheeks
Loz J — Google review
Absolutely delicious! Went on a Sunday evening and managed to get a walk in table outside. Lovely ambiance. They have a deal of 5 dishes for $ whatever price for two people, which we thought was a lot of food for just two people. We just took our extras home as it was too nice not to! The curry was the winner - 10/10

Emily and Taylor Bar is such a gorgeous spot in Fremantle — stylish, cosy, and full of charm. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive, and you can tell they really care about creating a great experience for guests. The drinks were fantastic — well-made and nicely balanced — and the food was just as impressive. Everything was fresh, delicious, and presented beautifully. It’s the perfect place to enjoy good cocktails, great company, and a lovely evening out. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a date night, I highly recommend Emily and Taylor Bar. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back!

Amazing! Found this place on the corner in Fremantle. Saw the “fresh dumpling” sign and decided to check it out. It did not disappoint! We had the massaman beef curry with the pork dumplings. The servers were so kind, friendly & attentive. The outdoor area was lovely, would be perfect for a summer evening. We are excited to come back again!
Iz K — Google review
We had no booking and arrived while the restaurant was clearly busy, but the staff still welcomed us warmly. They asked us to return in half an hour, and when we came back, they offered us some bubbles while we waited — such a lovely touch! The service throughout was outstanding, and we were especially impressed by our server, Pietro, who was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Emily Taylor’s for both the hospitality and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

From Sticky Date Pudding to Lemon Cheesecake and Hokey Pokey, the flavor options are abundant. The gelato is handmade without any additives, ensuring a pure and delightful taste.
One word; delicious! If you love gelato, do yourself a favour and drop by next time you're in Freo. 🍧
Anne F — Google review
We visited Swan River Gelato on a warm afternoon during our day out in Fremantle. The place offers a great selection of gelatos with some really interesting and unique flavors that immediately caught our attention. We tried the Mint Watermelon, Strawberry Matcha, and Hazelnut flavors. All three were refreshing, creamy, and well-balanced in taste. The mint watermelon, in particular, was a pleasant surprise—light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm day. Strawberry Matcha and Hazelnut were classic but done really well. Overall, the quality of the gelato was impressive. 4/5 The only downside was the pricing. Compared to other gelato places, the prices here felt quite high for the serving size. While the flavors and quality somewhat justify the cost, it’s definitely on the pricier side for a casual treat. That said, if you’re in Fremantle and craving good gelato with some creative flavors, Swan River Gelato is worth a visit. Just be prepared to pay a little extra.
Bhuvan S — Google review
We were walking by on a warm day & found this bustling gelato store by chance. Even though there was a bit of a crowd, the line moved very quickly. The range of creative & appealing flavours was almost overwhelming! We couldn't choose so opted to each have double scoop cups: choc hazelnut with kinder bueno, white choc raspberry with vanilla, & esspresso martini with mars bar. We took our gelatos for a short walk down to the park &, no wonder the place was buzzing, they were delicious! They had scrumptious chunks of choc in them so you could really enjoy the flavour & the gelato was smooth & beautiful. Next time we're in Freo, we will be finding excuses to return & try more flavours! Thank you Swan River Gelato 💛🙏

After a rich seafood lunch at a restaurant across the street, we found the perfect way to balance the lingering fishiness: artisanal ice cream. I visited Fremantle Markets for my favourite Turkish restaurant and tried the beef and cheese borek and chocolate this time—absolutely delicious! It was so much fun watching the owner bake everything by hand. They carefully place the bread over the ingredients, piece by piece, and bake it over the fire for at least half an hour. You can really taste the love and care in every bite. The owner is very polite and welcoming, and I really enjoyed the tea they served. It truly felt like the spirit of the weekend—flavourful food, warm smiles, and the joy of people enjoying food together. The owner even recognised me this time and said, “See you next time,” with a warm smile. And so did I.

This is our favourite spot in Fremantle Market by far. The foods are amazing, absolutely delicious Spinach & Feta Borek, Baklava and Knafeh. When I go there I feel like ordering everything on the menu! Then the complimentary tea. Unlimited top up. Warm and delicious. Service cannot be faulted. It has that homey feel. I love just sitting there seeing the kitchen at work. Highly recommended!

This Turkish food stall in the Fremantle Markets (in the fruit & veg area) is some of the best Turkish food I’ve ever eaten. It’s so amazingly good and you can eat it at the bench (often with a free Turkish tea) or takeaway. Most main plates are around $18. Great service and you can pay with cash or card.

Requested P to bring me to Frementle Market again for Baklava as i missed it a lot (ate 2 times during my August trip and would love to taste it again in November). Unfortunately Baklava was not ready yet when we arrived. Good to have the chance to eat Ottoman Börek & Kadaif but definitely miss Baklava 😋 🔅 Thanks P for putting the effort to fulfilled my wishlist! 🙏

Muffle is a popular treat that consists of a waffle in a cone, filled with ice cream and various sweet toppings. It's best enjoyed at The Yard, although it can be eaten on the go due to its convenient packaging. One of the most recommended flavors is Daifuku muffle, which features chewy mochi and chocolate pockets filled with red bean paste and green tea ice cream. Despite its size, it can be quite filling.
Tried many waffle cones in the past but this was by far the most delicious one I had. Would like to thank the lady who prepared my order as she customised the waffle the way I wanted without any hesitation. Would recommend the sundaes & the plain waffle too as it’s really delicious without the toppings.

Yummy dessert or snack, whichever you prefer. Tried the Matcha classic with choc syrup on top and red bean inside and it was soo good it will make you feel full. Shop was moved further inside at the middle so it can get busy. Will be coming back to try other flavours.

Nice snack while looking around the market! Since it's quite big, you may get full soon. Strawberry banana with ice cream was a good choice :) I think staffs were a bit less friendly than they could, probably because it was pretty hectic there. Though, I'd like to visit again to try some other flavor later.

Muffle moved to the Yard, where the all food are, right opposite the Goz Bar. It taste great as usual! This is even better!

The O.G egg waffles moved from their original small corner area to the centre food area of the Freo Markets. Same consistent taste all these years and always one of the must have foods when visiting Freo Markets. So good as well you can eat it with one hand and walk around with it 👍🏽

Visited Fremantle markets several times but never had this before. Wanted to have something sweet and tried this Lotus biscoff muffle with a scoop of icecream which is soo delicious. Quality is good, they are preparing it freshly.

Haven’t had muffle in years, but it is just as good as I remember it. The biscoff one was loaded and the perfect sweet treat.

Absolutely loved our visit to Muffle in the Freo Markets! I ordered the matcha waffle and it was so delicious – me and my boyfriend couldn’t get enough. They also give out free samples which is such a fun bonus! There are heaps of yummy options to choose from, and everything looked amazing. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a treat!

Fremantle Markets, established in 1897, is a bustling indoor market offering a wide array of goods including food, local produce, clothing, and handicrafts. The market is housed in a historic building and has become a hub for local talent, supporting fashion designers and musicians. Visitors can also enjoy nearby attractions such as bookshops and boutiques along South Terrace. Additionally, the area offers dining options ranging from inspired bakeries to fish markets.
Definitely go and check out this place. It was quite busy but worth fighting the crowds. Food was absolutely in abundance. Lots of stalls to look at and the atmosphere was terrific. The fruit and veg stalls were super fresh and if I lived locally I'd definitely be a regular visitor.

Pretty nice place to walk around! The market’s split into two parts — one side has more products and goods, the other side is the food and wet market. The goods are mostly the usual market items, but still fun to browse. The food section is the highlight — lively atmosphere, good smells everywhere, and lots to try. Worth a visit if you’re in Fremantle!
Eunice Y — Google review
Pretty small and not the most amazing of markets I’ve been to. There’s some food on the other section that was interesting like Burek and Tibetan but I think if you’re really tight on time you can skip this place. Only the coffee beans store I saw was truly unique. The market also has started having pop mart and labubus popping up, making it more commercial than i thought. Interestingly the urinals are pretty cool, first time I’ve seen them like this.

If it's your first time visiting, this iconic market must be on your list! It's a small market with local artisans. Could be crowded if you come around lunch time on a sunday. We rounded it twice, once to have an overview & the second time to buy what we wanted. The honey cake was a standout imo. It was so so good! Maybe just have a slice.. or two! We also tried Lola's giant spring roll (crispy pork) which was also good and very filling. A bit on the oily side but the vinegar and sweet chili sauce makes up for it. Perfect tasty snack!

A must-visit in Perth – full of life and local charm! Fremantle Markets is one of the best places to experience the real Perth vibe. The atmosphere is vibrant and colourful, with buskers playing music, the smell of amazing street food, and people from all over the world wandering through the old heritage halls. I loved the mix of handmade crafts, vintage clothes, Aboriginal art, fresh produce and international food stalls — there’s something new around every corner. The building itself is beautiful and full of history, which makes the visit even more special. It gets busy on weekends, but that’s part of the fun — the energy is incredible. Everyone’s friendly, the food is fresh, and the music gives it a great local feel. If you’re visiting Perth, you can’t miss Fremantle Markets. Go during the day to catch the live buskers and soak in the atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who loves local culture, food, and good vibes!

-Nice place to visit for FREE. with a lively local vibe and lots of interesting stalls. However, it’s more of a one-time experience, once is enough. -Kindly note the trading days of this place. -There’s a toilet available, but seating areas are quite limited, so it can be tricky to find a spot to sit and eat. -Surprisingly, there weren’t as many yummy food stalls as expected. -Overall, a fun stop while in Fremantle, but not something I’d return to often.

What a bustling place this is. Full of independent and food stalls it was packed when we visited and this was only a Sunday in early Spring. It’s an historic old building worth a walk through and a browse. It was the vibrancy that struck me. Almost as manic as a Turkish Bazaar.

San Churro Fremantle is a vibrant chain cafe that specializes in Spanish doughnuts known as churros, along with decadent desserts and organic, fair-trade coffee. The cafe offers a rich tradition of chocolate making and serves freshly made churros dusted in sugar or cinnamon. The churros are prepared daily using a vegan-friendly recipe, while the chocolate is sourced from top chocolatiers.
Stopped in at San Churro in Freo today for a sweet treat and Wow! Fantastic little place with the best churros and chocolate truffles. We had six churros with two dips and it was enough for 3 people. We also tried the Berry velvet truffle and it was amazing. Definitely a favourite and they will be seeing us again soon!
Stephanie P — Google review
A pleasant open-air San Churro branch in Freo with a nice Latin vibe. During our visit for hot chocolate, we found the Spanish version was a tad too rich and served scalding hot that made it hard to appreciate; the regular dark chocolate was more enjoyable, with a smoother consistency and a more balanced sweetness. The space itself is airy and inviting, with plenty of seating and friendly service.

Bakery
Wild Bakery, located in South Fremantle, is a haven for those seeking stomach-friendly bread options. Their sourdoughs are baked using traditional fermenting methods, making them easier to digest without compromising on taste. In addition to their delicious loaves, the bakery offers delectable treats such as almond croissants and pork and fennel sausage rolls. The passion project prides itself on specializing in naturally fermented sourdough breads that cater to gluten-intolerant customers.
Wow! A good friend of mine who is also a foodie who lives 1 suburb away actually recommended this place to me for pastries and bread. When I was in the neighborhood, I took a chance and went there (despite it being after lunch). Boy he was spot on! This bakery is wonderful and yummy! Which is not a surprise for Inglewood. I should have bought more, dang i! Despite the "higher" price (ahem), the ham and cheese croissant was heavenly! Super crusty yummy. I think they used Gouda cheese as well (can't be sure). The chocolate hazelnut nut was also magnificent. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area..... Can't wait!
J T — Google review
The almond croissant was one of the, if not the best almond croissant I have ever eaten. Now that’s a big claim which I don’t make lightly. Coffee was great but I feel 95% of coffee in Perth is. The takeaway cups had cool patterns so that’s a plus.
Robert P — Google review
So delicious! The pastries were fresh, packed with flavor, and just the right amount of sweetness. My favorite was the bee sting—usually not a pastry you’d rave about, but this one was something special! The salted caramel chocolate tart was a total winner too. We chowed down in the car, and when the bearded staff guy walked by, his nod confirmed what we already knew: those pastries were absolute perfection! Can't wait to get back and try some more!

Amazing bakery for a quick breakie on the way to the beach. Surprisingly there were quite a few spots to sit outside. We enjoyed the ham & cheese croissant, hazelnut chocolate croissant and the brownie. Breads looked awesome too. Coffee was only OK but nice to have the option on site to enjoy on the spot with the pastries. Sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls and all the other pastries all looked proper. Would definitely come back to try more.

Ordered catering for 40 farmers through Wild Bakery and it was amazing, everyone loved it! The service was great picking it all up the day before, everything was organised and ready to go packed on crates for easy transport. Would definitely order again.

Posting this review after visiting the place around 4 times. Discovered this quaint little bakery around 6 months back while looking for a breakfast place in Fremantle. I pride myself on spotting great bakeries, and this was no exception. They have a wide selection of breads, savoury baked goods and desserts. They also have some great selection of thin crust pizzas slices. To complement that, they boast a great coffee menu and some decent lemonades and kombuchas. Let’s get into it in detail. It’s not a huge bakery, so the seating is extremely limited, and it can get difficult to eat here if it’s a sunny day, but it’s bakery food, so we made it work. The ambience is a decent 3.5/5 Now the food. Below are the things we have tried so far: 1. Almond Croissant: Rich, buttery, flaky and delicious. 4.5/5 2. Pain au chocolates: Flaky with a some smooth dark chocolate. Could be a little more fresh though. 4/5 3. Orange cake: Super moist to the last bite. Loved it 5/5 4. Margarita slice: Crust was nice and thin. Not as well done as I like and a bit chewy since it stays in the display and is reheated. Also, a bit on the oily side. Since I am a pizza fanatic, I will rate this a 3/5 5. Fruit pie: Good. Nothing spectacular, but gets the job done. 4/5 6: Coffee: Good 4/5 We have also tried their while wheat bread loaf. It’s quite good. 4/5 All in all, it’s a solid 4/5 for their food. Try their croissants and baked stuff. Pizzas are a bit of a let down. The service was also decent. Nothing standout but nothing to complain about. :) 4/5

Had the pork and fennel roll which I thought tasted really nice, was still quite warm once we got a seat. The roll itself wasn't overcooked or burnt and to my surprise there was cheese mixed in with the meat which added great flavour. There isn't much shade outside so if you do go on a warm day like we did and want to sit outside, stay sun safe.

Sooooo good!! In my mind - this IS a bakery. Breads that are so far removed from the big supermarket fare - simple, healthy and tasty, if you’re after classic sour-dough bread and correctly made croissants etc, this is your destination. Added to this great coffee, great (brilliant) service and a terrific atmosphere the Wild Bakery stores are on point in all aspects…. Highly recommend

Gelatissimo Fremantle is a relaxed, classic ice cream shop that serves inventive and classic flavours. The store is easy to access on foot, and the staff are kind and clean. There's plenty of sorbet options for those with lactose intolerance, making it an ideal place to go for ice cream. The gelato here is also great - generous servings with lots of different flavours to choose from.
Superb hazelnut gelato. Rum and raisin also brilliant. Hubby loved his double choc brownie. The staff so carefully served the customers. It was my toddler’s first trip to a Gelateria and whilst he wasn’t interested in the gelato he loved the free wafer, which is a really nice and yummy touch, and was enthralled with being able to see the lady out the back preparing tubs. Such a sweet experience for us. Thanks to the ladies for being so lovely ❤️

On 28th of September, We unintentionally ended up spending $12 on the "Dubai chocolate" – a chocolate mousse topped with some nuts. It definitely didn’t feel worth the price. We also tried a mango gelato, which was decent. The customer service was acceptable. Interestingly, there was a full display plate of the "Dubai style chocolate" at the front of the shop, but when we ordered it, the staff brought out what seemed like leftovers from elsewhere and scooped it into a box. Not acceptable at all.

Started pouring with rain on the front table so had to leave. Asked for a cup to put my son’s ice cream in coz it was melting. Girl behind counter refused unless I paid 50c. Just spent $21 on three small ice creams, excellent cost saving by staff refusing a paper cup 👍.

I had a horrible experience last week I don’t know who with but she had an accent and was blonde with a fringe. She gave me the worst experience I have ever had Here at gelatissimo not only did it take her at least 5 mins to serve me while I waited at the front she was in the back doing god knows what. But she also had the audacity to give me an attitude after making me wait. the whole experience was just a shock because normally all the young staff are really welcoming and nice but this was different.

usually I love Gelatissimo's ice cream, but my recent visit left me feeling really uncomfortable, all thanks to the manager, Flo. First off, the store itself was spotless, and the ice cream was delicious as always. But when I approached the counter to ask a simple question about a flavor, Flo’s response was cold and dismissive. I’ve worked in customer service for years, so I understand that people can have bad days, but her attitude was just unacceptable. She seemed irritated by my very presence and gave me one-word answers, barely looking me in the eye. When I tried to ask about a specific allergen in one of the gelato options, she snapped, “It’s all on the website,” and walked away mid-conversation. It didn’t stop there. As I looked around, I noticed her treating the other employees with similar rudeness. She was barking orders at them in a way that was more condescending than constructive. It was uncomfortable to watch, and honestly, I felt bad for the staff. They seemed nervous, and it was clear they didn’t feel empowered to do their job properly with her hovering around, making snarky comments. I really hate to leave negative feedback, but this is something I couldn’t leave unnoticed. but I think Gelatissimo should know that Flo’s attitude is not just affecting customers, it's impacting the team too. I’ll probably come back for the ice cream, but I hope the management team reconsiders Flo's approach to leadership and customer service, and genuinely her overall role, I hope to either see improvement in her attitude or not see her at all. It really ruined an otherwise pleasant visit.

Bodhi's Bakehouse is a hidden gem nestled on Ellen Street, perfect for those who appreciate quality over trends. This cozy spot offers a serene atmosphere with nooks for quiet reflection and benches for socializing. Their commitment to health shines through in their gluten-free options and honest ingredients—no preservatives or GMOs here! Customers rave about the delicious spelt bread, including sourdough varieties that are hard to find elsewhere.

I think this place is a little secret in Ellen Street. It’s not for the fickle hearted, up yourself influencer without a cause type. The space speaks for itself. It’s a place with a nook for quietly.. and a bench or two on which to be seen. I like this place more and more. It says never mind about the rest. , you’re here now. As for the bread and treats?? They are Truly Honest! I plugged them into the Yuka App and Bam! My suspicions were confirmed that there are no baddies to be consumed in this food. So come and sit and let lovely Lady serve you with her beautifully quiet spirit of hospitality. Everyone’s got a couple of places and for me, this is one of them. You Will be pleasantly surprised. Be untrendy and be at the best place for you! A quiet place to be unseen.

I have been buying bread from Bodhis for over 20 years and I have been buying the lupin biscuits for quite a few years. I have bought their bread from IGA in South Fremantle and sometimes at Woolworths or lately Hamilton Hill. But I have done a few online shops with them. Today I received an online order of 4 packets of lupin biscuits and 1 loaf of organic wholemeal sliced bread. My gate was closed so the delivery person dropped the package which was a paper shopping bag on the ground over the gate onto the brick pavers. When I came out to open my gate the package had broken open and two of the packets of lupin biscuits had holes in them and the biscuits were almost all gone and the bread flimsy plastic had holes ripped in it and small junks had been taken out of it. There were only 2 packets of lupin biscuits remaining that were intact. I rang Bodhis bread and spoke to Coral and told her what happened and she asked me to send photos on her mobile so I did. Then she rang me back and said that they spoke to the driver and apparently he is tall and according to them he leaned over the fence and placed the package gently on the grass. Well I don't have grass I only have brick pavers and it would be impossible for him to lean over the fence and place it on the ground as the gate is like 6 feet high. So they refused to reimburse me for the 2 packets biscuits and loaf of bread as they said it was my fault that I didn't come out and get the package, I had no idea what time it was being delivered. Well all I knew was that it was coming Wednesday there was no time specified they did not send me an email letting me know and they never asked me where I wanted it left and they had put it in a bag that was flimsy and obviously broke open when he dropped in on the other side of my fence/gate. I explained that I have been a long time customer that they could reimburse me for goodwill. I have supported their business for many years. The woman Coral who told me they refuse to reimburse me was very cold and mean in her attitude towards me and said that they were not liable according to the delivery man. I feel very disappointed and ripped off. I lost nearly $30. I tried to add photos but they would not load and error came up.

Last tuesday 23/9 i came with someone and we ordered a coffee and toasted sandwich. I dont eat meat or dairy, so i opted for the vegan sandwich. The girl serving asked if i could change the order as she had pre-made others, i said i could have the other vegetarian one but to please not have the cheese. She seemed a bit annoyed at that answer and said she might as well make the vegan one, and proceeded. All was fairly normal, and while the sandwich was grilling, she made the coffee for the person i was with, and when it was done she rudely put it on the counter and passively mentioned without looking at us that its finished. Same thing happened when the sandwich was done - it was put on the counter with a really sour attitude and walked off while mentioning that the sandwich was done. I was shocked at the rudeness - there was nothing that happened whatsoever to warrant it, other than her not being happy with the fact that i wasnt going to eat one of the pre-made sandwiches. The lack of transparancy of whether there was a genuine problem, and the horrible attitude left a lasting mark, and will not return, nor will i be recommending it to anyone. The sandwich itself was sloppily made, the contents were falling out everywhere and the slices of bread in different places. It was pretty tasteless also. It is not hard to make a toasted sandwich decent! Especially when that is the only food you are offering. I feel this may have been deliberate. Definitely disappointing and impactful enough to feel the need to mention this in a review. I suggest new staff that will actually support the name of your business.

Update on my last review. I’m happy to say that the issue with my last bread mistake has been rectified due to the excellent customer service I received from Bodhi. I received 4 new replacement Dinklebrot loaves delivered today by their super friendly and reliable driver. So happy I can continue to eat the healthiest bread in Perth with authentic Spelt. NO preservatives , GMO or nasty chemicals. Just pure tasty bread like we used to eat in the old days. Thank you Bodhi. I will continue to refer people to your bakery. Have been getting my wonderful Dinklebrot loaves from here for several years. I don’t mind paying extra for quality and because I order 4 loaves I get free delivery which is a bonus. I have influenced many other people to buy also. This last delivery however was very disappointing. When I unpacked my 4 loaves from the bag I immediately noticed that the loaves were not Dinklebrot. They were heavy and dense and smaller than my usual. I sent an email to the bakery but so far have not received any responses. I’m now reluctant to order again. Needless to say the bread will go to the compost as it’s really not to my liking. I note from another review that something similar has occurred before. Shame as I spend, and have spent , hundreds of dollars with this bakery.

I was delighted to find sour dough Spelt bread in WA. I had been ordering it frozen from interstate. I didn't know they had the Arcadia spelt bread as it's not in Supermarkets. I received my order today and I prefer that and the wholemeal spelt to the sprouted varieties. Absolutely yummy and excellent value! Thanks you!

Rottnest Bakery is a fantastic spot on the island, offering a wide array of delectable pies, rolls, cakes, and fresh bread daily. Whether you're craving an almond croissant for breakfast or some bread rolls to complement your BBQ snags, this bakery has got you covered. They also serve top-notch coffee and open bright and early to cater to the first visitors of the day.
There is nothing better than a pie from Rottnest Island bakery. Unpacked Rottnest Island bakery has just about the best food you can imagine. It doesn’t matter what time of day you go in there they have new and different fresh things constantly hour in and hour out, day and night, on and on. Take it from the Quokkas!!! (that’s why they need such a massive fence and all those gates because you just can’t keep the locals, tourists, birds and animals away from the bakery on Rottnest Island!) While you’re there buy breakfast lunch and dinner. Although the restaurants are great, I have to say (Isola food and service is so good it makes you cry!!!). And when you leave, make sure you take a few pies with you. There’s nothing like a Rottness pie in oven daydream when you don’t have time to get there!!! Thanks so much, guys. You bake up treats from heaven. Love the service too!!! xxx for the Quokkers!!!

Came here in the morning to have breakfast before exploring Rottnest Island. It’s still a good option considering there are not many other options in the morning. The breads and croissants overall taste ok, and still reasonable for the price. Although when ordering the drinks, the queue can be quite long. There are plenty of quokkas, some can enter the place as well.

Everything was nice :) I also tried an almond cappuccino which was decent. There were sweet options like donuts and croissants, savoury scrolls, sushi, sandwiches and so on. Plenty of options for everyone! We were seated outside surrounded by quokkas and seagulls 🤣 be careful or they'll steal your food.

Attention Brindle family, Dear Greg, You are the custodian of WAs most iconic bakery, the Rottnest Island Bakery. However, and sadly, the current offering, with the utmost respect, Greg, is pig slops. Everybody is thinking this but they won’t tell you. The spinach ricotta is full of rice (redolent of fly lava, no mirth intended), bland, tasteless, with greasy heavy pastry. If it actually had any taste, I could identify it as probably, a spinach ricotta roll. Let’s go to the pies Greg, which are breaking everybody’s hearts. On Easter Sunday we tried to eat two steak and peppers and a standard meat pie. They were inedible with heavy greasy sodden pastry, a stewed concoction full of gelatinous matter; and a struggle to find a few morsels of tasteless meat. At Easter, may I say Hosanna, to the bakery. And Greg as the custodian of this world famous island bakery, please get this right, otherwise, my boating trips to Geordie bay will sadly decline in the absence of the famous culinary delight of the Rotto pie at the settlement. Yours sincerely, A seasoned, hungry boatie, desperately craving a seasoned Rotto pie. Tip: increase the price from $8.50 to $10, and use the very best ingredients.

What a gem! There was a short wait to be served, but once we got to that cabinet... wow. The display alone is worth visiting for, rows of beautiful, fresh pastries that make it nearly impossible to choose. Everything we tried was full of flavour and clearly made with love. The peach pastry was soft and dreamy, the pistachio cannoli was crisp and rich, and the fruit and nut slice hit all the right notes. Even the tea was spot on. This café is a treat for the senses, and I’ll definitely be sharing the pics, they speak for themselves. Will be back for more.

Wow... what a huge disappointment 😞 had high expectations with the food being authentic... To start with the guy that served us was so rude! Snappy and like it was an effort to serve us at 2pm on a Sunday. The cannoli was more like a beginner baker made it... the shell was overcooked and the ricotta filling was flavourless! The chocolate cannoli shell again overcooked and the filling very sweet... The orange slice cake was ok. Nothing to rave about.. the best thing was the chicken roll.. delicious. Not sure why some think this is great Italian bakery but my Italian family and the Italian food in Italy in multiple regions / cities and all that I have eaten at including in Sydney outweigh Dolce & salato 😪 Won't be back as it's far from authentic Italian food. Also in response to the cafe.. one should never make excuses as to poor staff behaviour when it comes to serving paying customers and the day should not dictate quality and service levels. And the rude / poor customer service has been mentioned by many others who have reviewed this cafe so it's not a one off and not rare!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – A true artist of Italian pastry! It’s not often you come across a pastry chef with such talent, passion, and attention to detail. Every dessert she creates is a small masterpiece—not only beautiful to look at, but also incredibly delicious. The flavors are authentic, genuine, and rich in Italian tradition, yet with a creative touch that makes all the difference. I tried her custard and fresh fruit tart… simply divine! The shortcrust pastry was perfect, the custard silky smooth, and the fruit sweet and fragrant: a perfect balance. Beyond the quality of the desserts, she is also a truly kind person—always smiling and welcoming. You can really feel the love she puts into every creation. A pastry chef like her deserves nothing but praise. Heartfelt compliments. Sabrina,Matteo,Nicola,Emma,Nicole,Martina and Daniela are the best 👏🏻

It’s always chaos here, no matter the time you come, but not necessarily in a bad way.I wouldn’t say it’s the most relaxing of cafes but the patisserie more than makes up for that, the Tiramisu is amazing! service can feel ‘abrupt’ but I think that’s just the genuine Italian way as my service has always been polite and efficient but not rushed. A number system would help to organise the sometimes extensive and confused queues of customers. I ordered a’60’ birthday cake and was able to speak with the pasticciera in person regarding my specific requests which were accommodated (a classic six and a limoncello zero decorated the same). The cake was expensive but fantastic and well received by all party guests. This is local to us and we hope we never lose them.

Coffee is great, but stay away from the chocolate croissants $5 and there was barely any chocolate in it

Dolce & Salato in Freo stands out as a delightful destination for those seeking authentic Italian treats in a relaxed setting. Whether you're in the mood for a creamy gelato, a freshly brewed coffee, or a savory snack, this café offers a satisfying experience. Its blend of quality offerings, friendly service, and community-oriented atmosphere make it a must-visit spot in South Fremantle.
Paolo C — Google review
No wonder this restaurant was full of customers for a traditional Italian breakfast. Cosy aircon, clean and nice environment. Most of all the staffs are friendly, and the Italian foods are good too. I enjoyed the breakfast with a glass of Long Macchiato. I waited untill most outdoor customers are gone before I took the photo. What a long wait, haha.

Ice cream shop
Nice way to end the day here at Rottnest. Their ice creams are good. You can catch a lot of quokkas hanging around here as well; but please don't feed them.
Maria A — Google review
Don't recommend going here unless the seagul problem is fixed. Its basically a scam. The swarm of seagulls is taking every customer's ice cream as they walk out of the ice cream shop and the crowd of people point and laugh and humilate every victim. I spent $31 on ice cream and the staff said watch out for seagulls so as I exited I was actively defending my ice creams from seagulls trying my hardest and expecting it yet still lost both ice creams to several body slams by seagulls. Yet the staff are still happy to sell ice creams
Miles B — Google review
Great ice cream, and was good to try different flavours that I’ve never seen before. Reasonably priced as well.
Anthony T — Google review
One of my absolute favourite ice cream brands is Simmo's. They introduced me to chocolate sorbet, and I’m in love with their ice creams and sorbets! I wish there was a location near Joondalup, as the closest one to me sadly is in Rottnest.
Michelle — Google review
Great variety of ice cream and you get to hang out with quokkas. Staff were nice.
Corrine M — Google review
pretty solid icecream spot with tons of options for flavours !! whoever was working when i came i love you for giving me the rest of the vanilla berry swirl (which was probably like 2-3 scoops worth) for $5 (the price of a kids cup???) truly bang for my buck :] anyways a must have if you go to rotto so definitely would recommend !!
Alice L — Google review
Too excited that i missed out on taking photos. They have a crazy selection available, and the 8 flavours that we had, was nothing short of fantastic. Loved it!!

After a good lunch, next is dessert of course. Decided to try Simmo’s. They have lots of flavours to choose from. Choice between cup or a cone. Yummy ice cream. Friendly staff.

Exquise Patisserie is a charming spot that offers a delightful selection of French-inspired cakes and coffee. The Devil Cheesecake and Opera cake are particularly noteworthy for their perfect balance of sweetness and texture. The owner, who has received training at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu institution, is not only friendly but also takes the time to explain the ingredients and intricacies of each cake. This hidden gem in a courtyard exudes warmth with its friendly service and delicious food made with love.
Good selection of french-inspired cakes and coffee. Truly enjoyed the Devil Cheesecake and the Opera cake - not overly sweet and is just the right consistency for a sweet treat. The owner was a gem to deal with and was very friendly; taking the trouble to explain to us the ingredients and the cakes that were being served. (To note, the owner has trained at the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu institution so Exquise Patisserie's delicacies are guaranteed not to disappoint!) The ambience is fully relaxing; soothing jazz-like music played within this quaint little patisserie, and on the outside, the courtyard fronts the quiet South Terrace Plaza (situated along Fremantle's Market Street). Overall, a serene and refreshing experience to enjoy a good cup of coffee and also suits cake lovers (especially if you appreciate fine french desserts!) I would recommend this shop to Fremantle denizens and travellers, and I will be happy to patronize Exquise Patisserie in the near future!

We always love to go back to this little treasure, very friendly service, the food and coffee are delicious and made with lots of love. Everytime we have visitors from Europe we take them to exquise patisserie before starting exploring fremantle. It is a bit hidden in a courtyard but it’s half the fun finding it, will always return for a great breakfast. 100% recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

First visit there. Quality of coffee is prime to me - if the coffee is not excellent I don't return. Coffee was excellent and food also very tasty. We'll go back for sure next visit to Freo.

The best croissants I've had! And this is coming from a french. The coffee is pretty good too. Highly recommended

Thanks for the fantastic cake that you prepared for us. Not only delicious but for organising the delivery and making it all with no fuss for visitors to the area was really terrific. Will certainly be back!

Pretzel Fremantle is a unique and cozy fast-food cafe that specializes in a variety of handcrafted pretzels, including vegan options. Customers rave about the delicious flavors available, such as cinnamon raisin and cinnamon sugar, which are described as some of the best they've ever had. The friendly staff and inviting atmosphere make it a great place to enjoy these tasty treats with friends or family.
Yum!! Quiet when I went in, great service. 10min wait for freshly baked pretzel. White chocolate coconut was bomb ! Definitely hit the sweet spot. Thank you 😊
Claudine T — Google review
I’m very surprised to see these bad reviews as we had great and attentive service. We loved all the quirky displays as well as really appreciated the free wet wipes! The cinnamon glaze pretzel was salty and sweet - perfection. A spontaneous stop we took en route to our hotel, and we are already planning on going back while in Freo! We went back and had the cookies and cream as well, delicious!!
Laxmi A — Google review
I recently visited Pretzel Northbridge and had a fantastic experience! The pretzels were absolutely delicious—freshly baked and perfectly seasoned. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The store itself had a cozy atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a treat. I especially loved the pink theme, which added a delightful touch to the ambiance. I highly recommend trying their pretzels, whether you’re grabbing a quick snack or looking for something to satisfy your cravings. Overall, a wonderful place with tasty treats that I’ll definitely visit again!

Special Place A hidden gem that instantly feels like home. Great Taste Every dish is bursting with flavor — truly satisfying. Friendly Service Staff are warm, welcoming, and always smiling. Perfect Price & Location Affordable and conveniently located the perfect combo. I Love It So Much! Can’t wait to go back again. Highly recommended!

Good place for a snack in the centre of Fremantle, particularly if pink is your colour 😄 Selection of savoury and sweet pretzels; I had the lot which was more like a quite delicious deep pan pizza. Note that pretzels may take up to 10 minutes as they are made fresh (mine did). Overall a recommendation - also because the coffee is good too!
Klaus T — Google review
Pinky place, though wasn’t very crowded, but the pretzel is pretty good n impressive! If u r not full, u can consider having one of this. We take away n eat it cold-still yummy nonetheless!
Ong M — Google review
Kids loved the pretzels. Nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of the streets. Good size pretzel so won't leave the little ones with room for much more, so don't plan for it before a lunch or dinner unless you plan on sharing. The place probably only has seating for 10-15 so may be busy at times if you want to sit.
Dean K — Google review
Think pink… this phrase was coined for this place. You walk in and you’re almost blinded by the pinkness of it all. After a Lobster Roll from The Cray, a sweet treat from Pretzel Fermantle seemed like just the job… my how wrong I was. $9.50 for a pretzel that tasted like it’s been made a week ago, and being served by someone who seemed more interested chatting about last weekend with her colleague… my advice is get your sweet treats elsewhere… The Peanut Butter Oreo pretzel was sickening in every sense, make of that what you will.
