This place is absolutely insane — full of people, shops, food, everything! Go with an empty stomach and a couple of hours to try everything you can think of. If you don’t like strong smells, seeing animals, or exotic foods, I’d recommend skipping this market. I loved it! Definitely try the eel, okonomiyaki, takoyaki, wagyu beef, shabu-shabu, and of course, sushi.

An amazing authentic Japanese Market experience. Full of sounds, smells, sights, and people!!! Incredible eating options made freshly. Very clean with a cleaner who walks around with mobile trash cans. (very very handy).

Another so called must go tourist place in Osaka. A lot of tourists here. And all the prices are also very touristy. Well, its willing seller, willing buyer. Most of the stalls selling seafood and food stuff. Saw some puffer fish slices, didn't dare to try. Again, it was pack with tourists the time we went during summer. If you never been there, why not.. but once is enough.

Kuromon Market is a great choice for Japanese seafood cuisine along with some signature local beef, pork and chicken dishes. The fusion of aromatic Asian condiments and local savory ingredients all add up to the great dining experience. The general ambiance of the market is extraordinary. To a considerable extent, it helped alleviate my pains and improve my satiety, on that day.

Good place for eating Kobe Beef and Fresh Seafood! Place is good but sometimes the smell really is different since we’re talking fresh stuff here and it’s a market. But there’s no mistaking it, it’s the best place for eating!

The market is huge! Soooo many different stalls, food shops, and overall a great vibe. I wasn’t able to come here my first 2 trips to Osaka. And Im happy i did now because I just ate so much food. Went at opening 9am, and there was not much people. Worth it to come here!!!

I love visiting markets during trips, and this one is definitely on the touristy side, but with plenty of street food to try. We had some oden, which was warm, satisfying, and a delicious street food. The award-winning melon and milk ice cream shop was a real highlight, the milk ice cream was impressively good, even surpass those many in Hokkaido. We also tried grilled scallop, which was just okay. The giant cracker was our least favorite, fun for photos but too hard to enjoy, and we gave up after a few bites. It was less crowded than I expected during our visit in late July in the morning. Overall, it is worth visiting at least once.

My friend and I intended to go another cafe for breakfast on our last day in Osaka (6/4/2025) but the queue was extremely long. We then found this cafe “ Granknot Coffee Roaster” nearby. The environment is nice and quiet, the decorations are raw and artistic. Love it. My friend ordered hot Latte (she said it’s excellent) and I just ordered apple juice (as my stomach got some problem on that day). We both had hot dog too (which was delicious too). Both the baristas are ladies (beauties too), they are friendly and cheerful. I enjoyed very much the time here. Thanks.

I was trying to find a nice café to do some work at with my Laptop! Found this gem. that has Outlets and free wifi! Very nice barista and very quiet. Perfect for a peaceful Morning or to spend some hours here Reading or on your Laptop. I had a matcha Latte which was delicious and the smell of freshly baked muffins might convince me to buy one to go for later! I can recommend this Place! If You’re gonna spend some time here doing work i recommend bringing a jumper since it can get a bit cold bc of the ac (but that is Standard for Japan)

Was recommended to come here by a local (feels like it gives it some credibility!). Lovely hot latte with yummy foam. Barista took her time making it which is always nice to slow down in such a fast paced town. Not pictured was the berry muffin warmed up - it was so fresh. Perfect pick me up when the wind picks up. Calm, ambient atmosphere. Great place to read, get some work in.

Revisited this cafe today. The last time we were here was during our last trip to Osaka back in 2016. The best latte that I have had on this trip. So if you are ever in the vicinity, go over and have a drink.

We loved this little Coffee shop near our stay. The manager was so friendly with us and remembered our orders since we went there a few times. The coffee was also great! I particularly liked the cold brew.

Lovely interior and friendly staff. Range of coffee beans available including light roast. The flat white and the hot chocolate were very good and it is a very relaxing environment in a cool neighbourhood.

Had a delicious cup of Tanzania beans cappuccino on a weekday night. My coffee came in a generous size mug, a Lilo booklet and a card about the beans. I didn't get the card about who my barista is but I think they offer that too usually. Unlike the other well known espresso coffee places in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo; there is table service here. Patrons don't have to collect or put back their own cups after ordering at the cashier. Which I appreciate that, so it feels less like a "vending machine" transaction. Tanzania beans were sweet and creamy with milk choco, suitable for late night drinking, not strong at all but still filled with layers of flavours. The staffs were attentive and friendly despite them being in the middle of packing beans. The small interior vibe was very chill and cosy. Cafe was decked out in a lot of cute, colorful LCR merch, fancy vintage coffee drips. Patrons were just quietly enjoying their coffee experience here, in this lovely, more local side of Shinsaibashi. Will cherish my Tanzania beans (freshly roasted only 2 days before the day I bought it), remind myself of Osaka and that 'life is short, surround yourself with good people and only drink good coffee'. ごちそうさまでした.

An artisanal coffee shop in the middle of Shinsaibashi. They sell mostly coffee and coffee beans, single origin or blended with different price points. I opted for a cold brew and I had to wait just five minutes. The waitstaff are very knowledgeable about the beans, and is very friendly. They give out cards of the coffee you just spent money on as a collectible.

Outstanding Experience at Lilo Coffee Roaster! One of the best specialty coffee shops I’ve visited! I tried the Kenya, Costa Rica, and El Salvador coffees — each had its own unique and well-balanced flavor. The roasting is excellent, and the taste profiles are clear and refined. The place is cozy and calm, and the staff is friendly and truly knowledgeable about coffee. Highly recommended for specialty coffee lovers — I’ll definitely be coming back! Nice spot for a quick caffeine fix. It’s a small, stylish café with a cool vibe and friendly staff. They roast their own beans in-house, and the Gibraltar was perfectly prepared and smooth. The matcha cookie was a great surprise—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made in-house. A solid stop for anyone who appreciates good coffee and local roasters.

Came here during the day but it was too crowded, as they have a small space for seating. Luckily they are open late so I came back to have a cup of coffee. It was a nice cup, very balanced and carefully crafted. They offer some small treats to go with your coffee too. The staff were great and very friendly. Cool spot to check out if you’re in Osaka.

Visited on a weekend afternoon and there were 8 people ahead of me in the queue. However, the queue moves fast. I ordered the green tea lattepresso (a matcha latte with an espresso shot) without any hesitation. My stomach is already drafting an HR complaint by then but as always I ignored it and waited in front of the store. The place was small so there was no space to wait inside the store with so many people lining up. My order was delivered by the staff less than 5 minutes after with some information cards about the blend and the roaster's contact information. I enjoyed it at the storefront. Both the tea and coffee was strong and it was balanced with the sweetness. I did not ask for less sweet (I usually do), and it was a good decision. However, it should be noted that it was a double caffeine intake which could be quite acidic altogether, so it might trigger a withdrawal headache or stomach issues. In my case? The worker strike was totally worth it.

Yes, cute place, nice view, however, this is not an excuse for failing to consider customer experience. It feels like operational decisions were made purely focusing on the owner/manager’s experience. I imagine the thought process might have been something like this: 1. We won’t open before 11am - we want to sleep in. 2. We want to try and make customers go away by compelling them to navigate a convoluted booking system based on where they want to sit—even though the terrace is visibly empty—and all this before they’re allowed any coffee. 3. We will take each customer order as slowly as possible because there are only 4 of us behind the counter as this way we can hopefully encourage more customers to leave in case they had the patience to come this far. 4. We will conveniently run out of things on the menu after the customer tries to order them - also applicable to the customer’s alternative choice just for good measure. 5. We will only accept cash — tax is so high in Japan. 6. We will serve only dark roast espresso and offer sugar if it’s too bitter. Hey, if it works for Starbucks… 7. We will gaslight customers into thinking they’re important to us by using polite Japanese and bowing a lot.

Great little coffee shop that gets busy and so there is a ticketing system with options on where to sit. The basement has no view, but the outdoor terrace has a great view of the river. Lots of cruise boats go past and they like to be waved at. 🤣🤣. The cakes are really tasty and the coffee is very well made.

It is a nice coffee place, if you get to sit by the riverfront. Not sure why they directed us to the basement sitting, when the riverfront porch was empty. That was a disappointment. However, the latte and matcha latte was good. The tiramisu I felt had a little too much of alcohol (good if you like it strong) and cream. It was decent.

Loved this little cafe. It’s cash only. We got seats outside on the river and it was so lovely. The coffee was delicious and you can buy bags of it in there. Staff were so friendly.

The view is good, Food is Okay but service is lower than Japanese standard. We order 1 dish per person but only 2 drink for 3 persons as another is not coffee person. Understand that they have the rule to order 1 drink per person as well but the way to asking is not Japanese standard also when asking for cash only. I recommend to have a clearly borad explain about these rules as well.

The view is amazing but the food serving is tiny bit slower haha and the space is really limited 😆😆 Waiting time was 25mins so that was abit of time to consider if you rushing. Overall is a very very nice vibe 😊☺️☺️

The place is just amazing! The vibes are 10/10, the staff are sooo nice and educated about diets restrictions, I ordered something and the staff came to to us to tell us that what we ordered contains alcohol and its not halal and he offered us the halal options available. The food ,we ordered the tuna sandwich and the egg sandwich they both were very delicious and have unique taste. The place was pretty quiet and calming when we went! I highly recommend it

Hands down, the best latte I’ve had so far…. super creamy with a rich, delicious coffee flavor. I intended to go there to buy whole beans for home, I loved how each pack had a clear detailed description underneath. It made it so easy to pick what I needed without having to ask anyone. Also, I can’t forget the homemade donuts… wow. I tried the plain one and it was very delicious I could easily go back and have a dozen!

I can't give lower than 5 stars. I come for Cafe but surprise me for this is also offer a lot of wine actually it is wine store plus with coffee shop. Coffe stand is not much vary of menu but enough for you to get new taste. I try Espresso Tonic, It's good(I am familiar with Tonic before). You can enjoy with a lot of wine and many goods in this store.

I really love Takamura’s concept — part coffee shop, part wine store. It sounds unusual, but the combination works perfectly. The interior feels spontaneous and eclectic, yet somehow everything fits together beautifully. I visited in the morning and saw many people reading books, with a mix of customers — office workers, freelancers, travelers — each with their own style. I had a hot americano and a matcha donut; the fruity notes of the coffee beans were especially impressive, with a light yet distinct finish. Spacious, airy, and inspiring. Credit card accepted

I fell in love to this place! Already came here twice.. I really recommend the ice cappuccino which has a creamy taste and the tonic coffee! I juat hope they will make new coffee menu, not only with soda but also fruit flavoured soda. Their homemade doughnut is also so good 😊 The place is very wide and big as a coffee, winery and shop. It has two floors and maybe more than 30-50 tables? And also an outdoor space. So you don't need to be afraid not to get a table. They have their own coffee roastery and everything which you can see yourself. It's so good to spent your time to do anything, because everyone is also minding their business. Even if it's crowded, but because it's a big hall the noise won't bother anyone. They also installed 4 restrooms on the second floor.

Coffee is really good. I ordered the latte and it’s really creamy but you can still taste the strong and aromatic coffee. It was drizzling outside and sitting outside the store is just nice and still feels cozy. It’s also pet friendly, sells coffee beans of all sorts, wines and some chips.

There was a line when we got there. We waited for 25 mins to get to the ordering counter. It took another 10 minutes for our latte and beans to arrive. It was a little time consuming but the latte and the beans were worth it. The place is a coffee stand and roastery. They were roasting the beans they were selling and if the beans you got was just roasted, they will give bean sitting instructions. The latte was smooth and flavorful. The milk never overpowered the coffee flavors. Out standing bean selection too. Highly recommend you visit at least once and maybe order their beans online.

The coffee tastes bad, the female barista was rude. Don't ever bother to come. I mean this is the 2nd best coffee in town, aim to serve the neighborhood. Instead, the female barista destroyed the whole vibe and good environment, and good courtesy. The story was there was only a short queue ahead, not many people waiting outside. I asked for a recommendation, instead this female barista asked coldly to the face 'What do you mean?' While the way she handed the menu to me was like I was holding a thousand gems on my hand. Her hand was too good to even give me the menu. When she took down the order also, she acted not professional. She gave the recommendation, but customer had the right to choose what they wanted. I changed to cafe latte and instead she said: 'You asked for recommendation, but you didn't take the recommendation' In the beginning when she served, I already sensed there was something off with this female rude barista. She was clearly not enjoying her work, and not wanting to serve, like waiting for me to leave. I was not begging you for a coffee, this was really mean to even a normal human. She wanted me to stand at a very specific corner before she was really in the mood to serve. It destroyed my fine evening to enjoy the coffee.

I have ordered the Panama Don Benjie Geisha Natural Lot 7. This coffee has a unique aromatic complexity and fruit-forward cup profile. A very subtle aroma of jasmine, bergamot, and tropical fruit notes. Carried tropical and stone fruits like mango, pineapple, and peach, accompanied by a hint of wild berries. The coffee was very silky and tea-like, with a delicate texture that enhances the drinking experience. But does it worth 4450yen, you will need to try and find out by yourself.

I guess I have the same high expectation with every other tourist who come to this coffee shop. The coffee was great but I would have second thought next time to the price tag of the drink relative to the overall experience you received. I easily spent over ¥10,000 on few drinks. Over half of the menu items are 2,500 above and that’s what’s the staff would highly recommended you to pick. One of my order costed ¥4,500. Tasted good? Yes. Exceptional? No. Does it worth it? You be a judge of that, considering a wait in line self order/pick up service and long waiting time and lack of full experience like grind smelling or detail tasting note introduction. For a grab and go coffee, with such pricing, I wonder how one local customer can afford such as a daily drink. Also, ice coffee and hot coffee are contained using the same size paper cup? I was totally at awe.

It came second in the world top 50 roasters in 2023 according to info online. Drank Ethiopia washed and thought it was the best one among all the coffees of the same origin and prepared method drank during my trip in Osaka. Only take-away coffee was available, no seatings or dine in.

A very pleasant small roastery café. The coffee was excellent and carefully prepared. The atmosphere is cozy, though there’s no indoor seating, which gives it more of a take-away style vibe. The staff was very kind and welcoming. We asked for a recommendation and were suggested the Panama Finca Deborah Nirvana (Geisha), along with an explanation card and a short presentation about the coffee. It was really informative and added to the experience. The price of ¥8,000 for a filter did surprise me – the most expensive coffee I’ve ever had – but the barista was upfront about it and confirmed if it was okay before serving. That transparency felt very fair. Overall, a memorable and special coffee experience.

A great little coffee spot to get a drink to go. There’s no place for dine-in, but there are a couple of benches outside. There are numerous bean options to choose from, and you can get a bunch of stuff online. I just went for a drip coffee, and it was excellent. They know what they’re doing. Service was fast and friendly. Seems like they will be opening another shop soon.

I went twice and got the mocha latte and the maple nut latte with the French toast. The French toast is very moist and absolutely delicious. The lattes both had latte art (as shown in the pictures) and were so so delicious. The large lattes contain 4 shots of espresso but I couldn’t tell (no heart palpitations but the perfect amount of energy!). The worker was so so nice and greeted me with a friendly smile. I attempted my Japanese and he was very happy. Will definitely bring more friends here in the future!

Very small coffee shop with great espresso and the sweetest most beautiful barista! One indoor seat and some outdoor seating too, we had espresso and blood orange juice and enjoyed relaxing inside on a rainy day, they were playing wonderful hip hop music and we felt lucky to have stumbled on it! Next time we will try the hot dog! UPDATE: we tried the hot dog. It was amazing

Only had the coffee, but it was truly wonderful. The staff was friendly and was able to understand English enough for us to be able to order. There was small bags of biscuits/biscotti that you could have with your coffee as well. Definition of hole in the wall shop, but charming with a little bit of outside seating.

Coffee was great but male server was so rude to us maybe because we’re tourists? We were so polite but he would serve a Japanese and was very smiley and happy, then his whole face visibly dropped when he saw us. That service made the whole experience sour.

Disappointing at best. While the girls were fine at greeting, and the food just average (and way overpriced).... The thing I hated was the lie. I looked around Denden town in person, for a place to spend my birthday to be treated a "little" special. I chose here because at the door, a maid told me if I book in advance I can have a free photo with the maids. This turned out to be the deciding factor out of several choices, so I booked two days in advance.....only to be told that this is "not policy" when it came time for a photo. On top of the "supposed" 500 yen entrance fee, they charge 900yen for a Polaroid pic with one maid, and 600yen for each additional maid in the photo. I have only been to one maid cafe in Tokyo, but this seems excessive and greedy by comparison. Obviously I chose to end my time there early, and not order more drinks, nor pay for excessively priced photos. I spent an hour there, and while I accept english is not common....I wanted a little more than the 3 minutes attention they gave me, compared to the 20 or so minutes they gave other local patrons. I actually get more attention from staff in a regular restaurant/bar, and I don't have to pay extra. Ultimately, I paid extremely excessive fees for a barely adequate flavoured meal, and instead of feeling "special" they made me feel ignored and ostracised on my birthday. Not only this... To add insult to insult...they overcharged me. Also, there is no "show" or dance, like other cafes. They spend time taking Polaroids to sign and sell instead of paying attention to paying customers. Just pure greedy business. I do not recommend coming here unless maybe being ignored is your thing, you like bad food, or you actually speak Japanese well enough for them not to avoid you. Disappointing birthday 😓

It was my second time going to a maid cafe! The first time was with a friend, so it felt a bit odd to go alone this time. 👁_👁 I've never been to CCOちゃ before though, but it was recommended to me. Despite the language barrier, I appreciate that all of the maids were very patient with me. They really tried their best, and I'm very grateful for it. 😊 They were also very energetic, which is very much the opposite of me. Lolol. Yuki-san also drew a super cute panda on my omurice. Thank you. 🥲

Nice Café. There is a fee of 500¥ for each 60 minutes. The prices are fine. The menu is just in Japanese but works very well with Google Translation. The waitresses were absolutly adorable and sooo cute <333 They alone are already 5 Stars worth it! Thanks for the nice experience!

This maid cafe is a bit hard to find, but It is worth It, the food is good and the maids area really fun, It is not one of those big corporate cafe, It is a bit more on the classic/simple side. When I got there none of the maids spoke english, so It was kinda hard to understand the menu, but the maid waiting our table did her best and It was really fun trying to make up a conversation without really speaking each others language.

Located inside Parco, the coffee was absolutely delicious, probably the best I have had in a long time. There is a common seating area where you can sit and enjoy your cup slowly. I was really looking forward to visiting their Kitahama shop near where we stayed before departing to airport on our last day, but it was unexpectedly closed. Hopefully I will get the chance next time, because this cup left such a good impression.

Very good coffee roaster, especially their espresso was top notch, creamy and well balanced on a slightly acidic side exactly the way I like it. If one is having a drink in a cap, then it has to be consumed at a counter (Italian style). Prices are absolutely amazing for this kind of a product.

The coffee was great. Rich in flavour. I ordered a cappuccino with samatra beans. The froth was perfect and milk was rich. It waa a good cup of coffee. It will be even better if they can have in Guatemala bean. I totally enjoyed it and I go bck for 2nd cup right after. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Delicious coffee! Found this coffee place inside a mall and during that time I was having a rough experience with Japan's coffee scene as the coffee I've tried tend to be sour and super acidic. But this one was amazing! Just the way I like it.

It was really fun Nyah~! Our maid (Mi-Chan)gave us all free animal hats to wear while we were eating. It was very cute :) Some wealthy benefactor paid for a live show, so we got to watch that as well! The maids are so talented!! Entrance fee was $660 yen for students, so we had to add that on top of the food cost, but the experience was definitely worth it.

I went to during the NIKKE collaboration. The food and maid atmosphere was great! The food portion is a bit small and the price can be high depends how you spend. I think it's worth to visit at least once! Bonus point if you can talk to the maids. 🥰

We waited 30–40 minutes just to eat some patties. I only went along with it because my wife wanted to try it, but was it worth it? Definitely not. The whole Michelin story also seems to have ended in 2023, based on the stickers at the entrance. We tried 4 out of 5 items. My personal ranking would be 1-4-2-3. There was nothing that made us say “wow,” and the presentation didn’t offer anything particularly unique either. Honestly, you can find more delicious and creative food in many places around Japan. If there’s no line, go ahead and give it a try — but if you have to wait, I’d say it’s definitely not worth it.

Absolutely mind-blowing. This is not just food – it’s Osaka on a plate. I had the Negi-yaki, the green onion pancake, and it was pure umami perfection – light, fragrant, with that soy-based aroma that stays with you long after the last bite. The texture was crisp on the outside and soft inside, beautifully balanced. My partner had the Yamaimo-yaki with pork and squid, and it was phenomenal – airy, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth. You can actually taste the yam base; it’s unlike any okonomiyaki you’ll find elsewhere in Japan. The staff were kind, the pace authentic, the sizzling sound from the grill just hypnotic. Mizuno deserves every bit of its reputation — a must-try if you want to understand the soul of Osaka’s food culture.

It's ok. Nothing special, you can probably find similar or even better okonomiyaki for cheaper. The yam pancakes are good, but I wouldn't say it's better than the traditional ones. Also, I missed some bonito flakes. And the portions are just too small. However, not worth the wait. I waited for 40 minutes in line in not very busy day. Then, once in, I kind of felt rushed to have my meal and leave.

Wet soggy mess. Only redeeming fact their proteins we're good quality/thick. Would not queue for this ever. They got our order wrong. Have had significantly better oknomiyaki around Osaka. Does not hold together but breaks apart when picking up with chopsticks.

The food was great. There was a line outside and I think there always is. It moves fast and the system they have going is good. When you sit, they already have your drinks and some of your order ready.

I would say this is too overated. Kinda tourist trap. The place is very small, long waiting line. The food is fair with average sized portion so it’s not worth waiting that long. Moreover, the place is not clean and some staff were ignorant.

Lines are always long here so I wanted to give it a shot. We waited about 30mins . Not sure how Michelin cheap eats are awarded but this restaurant is an award holder . Is it better than other Omayaki (egg flour savoury pancake - probably misspelt ) restaurants? Probably but is it worth the wait - you need to decide .. the yam version is nice and worth a try.

Ordered the spicy miso ramen with the gyoza combo. The ramen was pretty basic, and the shoyu was a bit dry. The egg, however, was cooked perfectly. The gyozas had a nice crunch, which was the highlight of the meal. Overall, it felt more like a quick grab-and-go lunch spot rather than somewhere you’d come for a memorable ramen experience. Nothing particularly special stood out.

We were lucky and there was no line. Sometimes we walked past and there was a bit of a queue. Hard to miss ramen shop in the middle of Dotonbori. Quick, easy and simple concept. Two options available to order on the machine - regular or large (extra charsui). Was seated promptly and handed a number. Ramen was basic and toppings are DIY. Can’t expect much more for under ¥2000 for 2 people! Simple, quick and easy. A great little shop to stop by and watch the hustle and bustle of the place - even better is opened 24/7!

We waited in line for about 20 minutes. There were only 2 choices of ramen, standard cha siu and extra cha siu. We ordered 2 standard ramen, 800 yen each. You can add kimchi, minced garlic and spicy chives. My bowl only had 2 small slices of cha siu and they were not tender. The soup and noodles were not bad. Not worth the time to line up.

The ramen served at Kinryu was a hearty and generous bowl. Although not the best ramen I have had, I nevertheless liked it. The broth was flavoursome and the noodles had a nice bite to them. The store only seemed to sell one type of ramen with sliced pork. I also liked that there were a range of pickled vegetables that you could add to your ramen. Initially you place your order through a vending machine. You need to insert your money before selecting the meal you would like. You then receive a ticket with a number and wait to be called. On the occasion of my visit, there were only two staff members working there, cooking and cleaning. As the restaurant is located in the centre of Dotonbori, it was very busy. Staff were working very hard, were efficient and courteous.

Kinryu Ramen is a whole experience.Seriously, it's not just food, it's a vibe. The whole thing is so fast—you get your own seat and just slurp it down, shoulder to shoulder with other ramen lovers. But here’s the real secret: the free stuff. You get unlimited crunchy kimchi and spicy chives. You can even add fresh minced garlic—and when it melts into your bowl, it’s pure magic. It elevates everything. It's not a fancy restaurant, it's just pure, unpretentious goodness. And it's open 24/7, so it's always there for you. Honestly, it’s one of the best things you'll ever eat.

First time trying this ramen 9 years ago, today we comeback for the numerous time, the taste still amazing. The soup itself is light compared to other ramen. The plus side is free refill of kimchi and water (this is a plus during hot day). The options for menu are regular and ekstra charsiu ramen. Cost under 1000 yen for the former and just over 1000 yen for the later

The broth is a lighter take on tonkotsu (pork bone) style—creamy but not overly heavy. The noodles are straight, medium-thin, and firm. Free toppings like garlic, kimchi, and chives let you adjust the flavor to your liking 👍

You could either buy a plate of takoyaki & stand by the shop & eat it or you could also go up to level 2 to eat. On level 2 they serve full meal, alcohol & various stuff. Service is usual polite. Food comes relatively quick. Crowded & noisy, love the vibes thou. Highly recommended !

We came here to this area to experience the dazzling, over the top shopfronts and after walking around a few blocks, we got hungry. We popped in to the nearest crowded restaurant and ordered some food. There was a queue here but the eait wasn't too long. We took the times to perise the menu. There were a lot of options but when in Osaka, one has to try the okonomiyaki. We also ordered other items to share. The food arrived pretty quickly and everything was delicious. The team here is very friendly and made recommendations to us on what to order. It is quite lively here but we can still talk and enjoy our conversation and of course, the food as well.

Fabulous Japanese Kansai Cuisine experience. We were an Indian family of four with teenaged kids visiting Osaka for the first time. Roaming around the crowded Dotonbori area at 8pm on a very crowded street, we were famished after a long summer hot August day in Osaka. We were welcomed by a sweet smiling usher who made us comfortable with a Namaste & promptly seated us though super crowded. The lady server patiently explained us Japanese dummies the type of food and we ordered Okonomiyaki, yakisoba seafood noodle, Takoyaki with lassi & drinks. The restaurant was extremely crowded, noisy, smelling of food, full of tourists & we loved the chaos, having visited very quiet restaurants before. Everything was served hot on the grill plate, freshly made with wonderful flavours. We thoroughly enjoyed our Kansai cuisine touristy experience.

I ate here last Feb, & I consider this to be one of my favorite Takoyaki spots because of the variety of flavors they have available. If you want Takoyaki that’s non-traditional or with cheese, this is the place for you! :)

When you want to drink but go out two friends have to buy 2 drinks. only I have a need, my friend doesn't, i was pressured by the shop to buy two drinks. The attitude of the staff is not good (female staff), not male friends wearing glasses. You should not go to this restaurant, if you do, buy food in the front row, you should not go to the restaurant upstairs.

We came especially to try the okonomiyaki. They did warn us that there might be a 20–30 minute wait, and indeed we waited — so keep that in mind if you’re short on time... Tho, the food was delicious!

Stumbled upon this place while taking a stroll. wanted seats while eating Takoyaki so this place fits the bill. Food is not bad, did not have expectations and this place had food that was better than expected. its afternoon and they had a cover... each person had to order a drink on top of all the food that we ordered.

Funny story that I had intended to go try Tengu (next door), but ended up in the wrong queue for this instead. It was mostly locals and there were abt 30 guests queuing even before it open at 10.30am. Food quality was good and the atmosphere was great. Feels like a place which the local community supports and everyone's just here for a good time in a rainy weekend morning.

Found this place on tabelog and filled with good reviews from locals and decided to pay it a visit. Arrived at 11am and the queue was filled with mostly locals. The queue took around 30-40mins in total. The place came with a menu which had English on it too. This is the best kushikatsu I’ve tried, each stick was beautifully coated and fried to perfection. Each bite did not felt overly oily and ingredients used were really fresh. I recommend trying out the prawn and shishamo skewers.

Have no fear my fellow tourist mates. This restaurant provide English menus. Even if they don’t, you can always use google translate or point to what you would like. Order your ingredient and it is prepared immediately. You watch the chef work his magic, dip the stick into the batter and do a deep fry. Wonderful stuff this is. Every ingredient was fried to perfection. Do not double dip into the sauce and enjoy your meal. Once you dip, eat quickly as the batter goes soft quick. I like to eat these skewers when I’m in Osaka as I can’t find them anywhere else. Once you’re done with this meal, make your way down the alley and explore that wonderful 1980s/1990s arcade shop. I had a blast playing house of the dead, puzzle bobble, street fighter and old school super mario for 100 yen a game! Loved it!!

This is my go-to place in Osaka and arguably one of the best kushikatsu restaurants around. When we went for dinner, the line was incredibly long—we ended up waiting about an hour. Still, it was absolutely worth it. You sit at the counter and order each kushiage (deep-fried skewer) directly, so everything is served piping hot and freshly fried. Every skewer we tried was delicious. My personal favorite is the dotekatsu—a comforting combination of kushikatsu and doteyaki (a rich beef tendon stew). Highly recommend it. One thing to note: I’m not sure how foreigner-friendly this spot is. The menu is posted on the wall and entirely in Japanese, so it might be a bit tricky if you don’t read the language. I’d recommend coming with a Japanese speaker or at least memorizing a few common kushikatsu items in Japanese before visiting.

Beef tendon is worth the wait. Everything else is not too different from any other place. Tendon is so tender and well sauced, it just melts in your mouth. Everything else is fried stuff on a stick so it's same same to me only difference is the dipping sauce and the cold service attitude here.

If as a tourist you want something a little different from sushi or ramen then this is a great option. Not overly busy, and good prices. Everything on the menu is worth trying!

Good clean tasting fried food. You choose the ingredients, they cook it for you. Excellent service. Since the shop is split into two shops opposite each other, the wait is short if you are early.

2nd time to this same shop. Prices have gone up. Most things are the same. Salmon and tuna is top notch. But scallop was a bit too firm and overcooked. Otherwise food was ok. Atmosphere wise: a bit crowded especially if you are travelling with kids. Verdict: Nice fresh food but it’s a bit pricey. Worth a try if you have not been to it before

​The seafood meal was something else. The Japanese eel, the fugu, and especially the crab roe - it was like a whole new experience. Everything tasted so incredibly fresh, like it just came out of the ocean. On top of that, the staff was truly amazing. Their kindness and attention to detail made the entire evening feel so much more special. It was a perfect PM from start to finish.

Nice seafood experience at the Kuromon Market. You can choose from different types of seafood, ready to eat or to be cooked for you. From king crab legs to octopus. I had a seared scallop with sea urchin, strong umami flavors, along with a piece of octopus that was bbq’ed, a nigiri platter with tasty tuna and other fishes, and a portion of sea urchin. The sea urchin was good, but I’ve had better in this market. All this with a cold beer, seating on a large table. Would recommend for groups and to try different things.

A smorgasbord of seafood offerings in a clean, organized space. We came near closing time and some a la carte offerings were tagged 50% off (半額)！ Larger sets were also discounted but less. All delicious! And fresh, even at the end of the day (family is extra sensitive to non-fresh food) We paid (cards accepted),and sat at one of the many tables with our spoils, enjoying the food, music, and the tea on tap. There are more prepackaged items like whale(!) and pufferfish(!) but we'd had our fill. Also, bathrooms are clean, they have you take off shoes and use provided slides.

Highly recommended for its great price and value. We ordered the ¥3300 sashimi set and the ¥3000 toro uni nigiri set; the Toro and uni are so fresh and delicious (of course the sashimi is also very fresh and sweet). We ordered to go the last minute before our trip to Tokyo. They helped us pack the food with small ice packs and wrapped them very well.

Kuromon Sanpei, Osaka — Great Seafood without the Fancy fuss If you are looking for white tablecloths and waiters in suits, Kuromon Sanpei is not for you. But if you want incredibly fresh seafood served fast and with zero pretension, pull up a plastic chair and get ready to eat. Located inside the buzzing Kuromon Ichiba Market, Kuromon Sanpei is a no-frills, partly self-service spot where the focus is entirely on the food — and it delivers. Their miso soup is simple but deeply satisfying: a clean, umami-packed broth with generous pieces of wakame seaweed, the kind of bowl that tastes like it’s been made with real care, not from a packet. The fish selection is excellent. The Norwegian salmon stands out. The fatty tuna (toro) was so tender it practically melted on the chopsticks, no wasabi needed. At Kuromon Sanpei, you grab your food, find a seat, and dig in. It is not messy (we are in Japan), casual, and all about the freshness of what is on your plate. This is market eating at its best: lively, and full, but absolutely delicious. Lastly the staff were very friendly and lovely.

Extremely lively and popular seafood restaurant in Kuromon market. Order at the cashier first, then collect a number and find yourself a seat. I ordered the seafood kaisen don at 1650 yen which comes with a forgettable miso soup. The variety of seafood is excellent for its price. You get ikura, whitebait, prawn and slices of common fish like salmon and yellowtail. However, the quality of seafood leaves much to be desired considering it is at a food market. The seafood is reasonably fresh, but I find it a little chewy. The rice does not taste like sushi rice as well. Overall, considering the price, I find it a reasonable lunch option with potential upside if you were to combine with their other products offered in the front fridges.

Ordered set of 12 fried skewers and extra cabbage. Price is reasonable but not really delicious. Nothing special. Staff can be rather impatient.

Kushikatsu not extremely good….compared to others, taste is different something like food is already prepared or even frozen and you feel the fatty on the food. Price is cheaper than other places, but quality is affected. In any case, if you do not want to spend too much, it is clean and fast service

Its a famous place for kushikatsu where everything is deep fried. Service was a little cold and food was okay but nothing amazing. There are better places elsewhere where the food is better, but this one is pretty average.

I visited Kushikatsu Daruma - Namba Main Shop by accident and had a pleasant experience overall. The restaurant offers a variety of kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) that were delicious, and the dipping sauce complemented the flavors well. The bustling atmosphere added to the dining experience. However, I deducted one star due to the chicken skin, which was not as enjoyable as the other items(soggy not crispy). Despite this, the overall quality of the food and the friendly service made the visit worthwhile. It's a great spot for anyone looking to try authentic kushikatsu in Osaka at an affordable price.

There are many branches, so it would be good to go anywhere. When I saw the mascot, I had an inner intimacy without realizing it. It's a fried food restaurant, and the staff is kind. Just a drink is a must order. Fries are fried well without being greasy. Not snowflake fries.

Small, busy japanese place. Offer variety of options for fried food. Which is great to taste. They have ordering via QR code and a website, so it's easy to navigate for a foreigner. They take cards payments. It's relatively small and cramped place, but that's normal for Japan. Which definitely adds to the atmosphere.

Decent. I think we were lucky that the wait wasn't too long. We had a seat of two and the food was brought over cooked (instead of having a cooking service) Overall good. Okonomiyaki goes well with beer. Yakisoba was also decent. Stir-fry noodles.

The first time we came to this well known place for Okonomiyaki (they have other items on their menu) was two years ago and had to wait about 30 minutes in line to get in. After we had our dinner it was obvious why everyone is so willing to stand in the line no mater how long it is. The food here is delicious! So, we came back, stayed in line 40 minutes this time but it was really worth it! We highly recommend Houzenji San-Pei. Gochisōsamadeshita ❤️

Tasty Italian + Good Atmospheres The reason we picked this restaurant was due to its location. It is close to Nakanoshima Art Museum, and we want to check out illumination at nearby city hall. But the food was better than what we expected, especially the pizza and yellowtail with yuzu tartar. The staff were friendly, attentive, and can speak basic English well. We visited in late November, and there were heaters provided for the outdoor seat, so it was nice and warm. It was lovely to have alfresco dining. Indoor seat are also available. The reservation can be made online via Google map.

It may be very busy around lunch time during the weeks, so maybe it is better to reserve a table in advance or arrive early enough before it opens. Nothing to complain about!

The food was really, really good. Had one of their pizzas and was in love with it. They did put me in the corner of the bar and kind of forgot about me when they got busy. 20 minutes of no service is a little wild, having to go and grab someone to get my bill. Made the good meal not really worth it.

A nice place by the river in Nakanoshima park. There are tables inside and outside so the outside table would be great when sun is out. This cafe/restaurant could be a nice place to have a cuppa or lunch during a walk or even some drinks and dinner as they serve tasty pizzas! We had a steak lunch and a pizza. Loved both. A big custard cream puff with cream on top for desert if you have a sweet tooth.

Ambiente, Location, Staff and F&B told me I will definitely come back to taste more from everything. It was a delight to eat the Skirt Steak, so well prepared the beef was soft and tender - a small dream for meat lovers.

This place is wonderful. The staff are very friendly. The pizza is second to none in Honshu (in my admittedly likited experience) and some of the starters are truly inspired. We have been here three times in a 2-week long stay in Ōsaka at a nearby hotel to be reviewed separately (The Royal Park Canvas). Everything we tried was delicious. I had three kinds of pizza: marinara, bianca and mozzarella di bufala. All three were just right and it is a pleasure to watch and smell the wood-fire oven. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Pricey but worth every yen.

A lovely cozy indoor/outdoor cafe near the Osaka River (Odo River I think) with a view of the beautiful old City Hall building. This was a real haven on a coolish day. My daughter had a burger with bread 🍞 🥯 on the side and fries which she enjoyed and I had a great margarita pizza with perfect thin base and crunchy crust. The staff were warm and friendly. We would have liked more options for drinks with our meal but the house beer was good and refreshing. Like for like I’d say 4.5⭐️

Went with my bf because of all the great reviews on Trip advisor. Didn't find the value that great (it cost us 4000 yen in total and we didn't order drinks). The cutlet was small and not even that crispy. I did like the unlimited cabbage but that would not bring me back to this place. Definitely way better other Katsu options around the area.

The tofu and cucumber side dishes were really nice. Especially the tofu, it’s refreshing, simple yet tasty. The rice that came with the pork was gorgeous. I didn’t know rice could taste that well made. However, the layered pork was slightly disappointing with the bottom a little soggy. But overall, good food.

One of the best katsu places you'll find in the world. Very classy restaurant, the meat melts in your mouth and the sauces go extremely well with the meat. By far the best katsu I've eaten in my life. Service is excellent and staff are very attentive

Super delicious pork Katsu! We were one of the last couples for the night and they did not rush us. Super nice staff. Very hard to find, especially if you don’t read Japanese. There are no English signs from the street, so good luck trying to find the building. Once you find the building and from the street, take the escalator down. Upon exiting the escalator, the restaurant should be directly in front of you. To enter the restaurant, you need to walk a few steps and it should be on your left.

Service is not good enough. Food is average. We ordered two different set and didn't know they put the food all together in the same plate. I waited another 20 mins and had to asked the waiter to find that out. I missed my chance to try the cheese pork thst I ordered as my partner did't notice that he was eating my portion. That also means that the cheese pork is not really cheesy at all.

Decent pork katsu with okay service and decent environment. This is pretty good, but, it's hard to find (in a basement restaurant area next to a theatre). For the price, I'd have preferred to walk around and explore other options. But if this is what you're after, it's a good place to come.

It's our very first time to come here. It's a breakfast. Quiet and cozy. The food is very good. Veggie is fresh, everything nicely seasoned and cooked. The environment is very nice. It's just that the staff are a little bit indifferent.

While traveling through Japan, I randomly woke up craving a western-style breakfast. Did a quick search and ended up at Bills, known for its Australian-style breakfast and pretty popular with the locals. Finding the place was a bit of a mission since it’s inside the LUCUA building, and the department store was closed at the time—you really gotta wander to find the right elevator. Service was great—super friendly and welcoming. As for the food, it was solid. The toast was excellent, and the pancakes were definitely the star—super light and fluffy. Prices are on the higher side for what you get, but overall it was a nice, chill experience and the breakfast felt pretty healthy. Wouldn’t mind coming back if I’m ever craving pancakes again!

This isn’t my first time dining at bills—I’ve visited their locations in Osaka twice and enjoyed a memorable meal in Odaiba, Tokyo. While the food and service are always exceptional, the Odaiba branch stands out for its incredible atmosphere. It’s the perfect blend of relaxed and vibrant, making the experience even more special. And of course, their pancakes remain unmatched—truly the best of the best.

The food was very average — I really don’t understand why this place is so popular online. The portions are large and one person can hardly finish a plate, but surprisingly, for such an expensive and refined restaurant, they don’t even offer take-out boxes. It’s such a waste of food. The service was also disappointing — the staff kept walking around but didn’t seem to notice when customers were trying to get their attention. Definitely not worth coming just for the hype. Overpriced, and there are plenty of much better breakfast spots worth visiting instead.

The ricotta pancakes? Absolute clouds on a plate. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented without being over the top. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back.

Beautiful restaurant inside LUCUA mall Nice decor and delicious food. It is pricey but well worth it to be able to sit in an air conditioned place and be served with excellent service.

Food is indeed amazing, had hokkaido cheese and sage sandwich, simple but well executed. Of course also the ricotta pancakes which were fluffy and tasty. Coffees truly lived up to Australian Coffee name. So hard to get good coffee in Japan.

My daughter brought our whole family here in this particular location because she said the coffee was good and that we will like sitting out on their deck. And she was right. The coffee was good and the outside seating was really nice. We went on a beautiful sunny but still cool day. The food selection is limited and the service was very slow. But I did enjoy the BLT and the family enjoyed their coffees. The attraction here really is the deck seating beside the river. Nice place to relax and enjoy the views.

I visited Brooklyn in early May and ordered a flat white. I thought it would taste like any other white coffee, and honestly, it wasn’t anything special. But I really loved the view! The weather was still a bit chilly, and I was sitting outside—it was just the perfect kind of afternoon to enjoy a hot coffee with a beautiful view of Osaka

Nice looking cafe with great tasting coffee. The food offerings were not though. The bacon scone and the slice of cake tasted like leftovers from the day before unfortunately. On the other hand, the coffee was wonderful and perhaps reason enough to return. However if you do plan on visiting, avoid the seats closest to the restroom. It gets busy and when someone does a number 2, the smell that follows that person out the toilet fills the air with such potent pungent fumes that no matter how great the coffee, it'll just taste like animal dung. It doesn't help that the staff from the cafe keeps coming over to shut the glass doors leading out to the deck effectively keeping the foul gases from escaping. So Brooklyn Roasting Company, either improve your toilet's mechanical ventilation or leave the glass door permanently ajar/opened so that your indoor seating customers don't get to smell your other customers foul stench with their coffee. Coffee and human manure do not go together.

I had a light roast americano and a dark roast drip coffee. I did not have a choice in beans as there was only one option available per category. Drip coffee had been pre-made ahead of time. The americano was decent and the drip coffee underwhelming. Both served indoors in paper ups. I've had better cups of coffee in Osaka for 200 yen. I appreciated the atmosphere in the place. Comfortable, good music and the plants give it a good vibe. In a city full of great coffee roasters this is probably one of the most underwhelming ones.

Great coffee and cabinet food. The donut was apple crumble and it was soooo soft and fluffy. The cafe overlooks the river and a rose garden on the otherside. They are also English friendly and super nice. Very hip atmosphere inside with very easy going music. Lots of seating outside on the deck area too

TLDR; Worst service I have ever experienced After queing for 20min we were told each person needs to order minimim 1 drink to stay inside, even when we ordered 3 items between the two of us. No written notice anywhere about this policy. Instead we ordered to go and sat in small bench outside the shop for few minutes to finish the pastries we just got. Not even 5min after, one of the baristas came outside demanding we ordered a drink or we left. We thought it was a misunderstanding since we were not even sitting inside (and place was half empty anyway). They escalated the situation by literally asking us if we were "too poor to order a drink" and threating to call the police. Even after getting up and just standing in the sidewalk (public space as far as i know) they kept going with their threats, until they finally went back inside. I could understand whatever policy they have, but that does not justify the way they treat customers. Based on the reviews, not first time this happens so please be aware!

I think they are famous for their coffee. Unfortunately, I don't drink coffee, so I ordered hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was so-so. However, the view from the balcony was good. We could see a rose garden across the river, and a boat passed by. A well-spent afternoon enjoying the view!

You arrive. There’s a line. A long one. Because Japan has decided restaurants should hold roughly ten humans max. Cozy. Romantic. Claustrophobic. Whatever. While waiting those 40 minutes you start asking the real philosophical questions. What is ramen? Why am I not eating literally anything else? Did I really just queue for soup? Then the universe answers. Your charsiu ramen lands in front of you and suddenly angels with chopsticks start singing. The pork. Holy mother of oink. It practically gave up resisting and melted into your soul. The broth? Creamy, rich, a flavor punch that karate-chops your taste buds. Noodles doing their chewy thing. You start slurping. Loudly. No shame. Japan approves. Do you like ramen now? Nah, you’re too cool to admit love at first slurp… But you definitely enjoyed this bowl. Which means the ramen cult has already marked you for recruitment. Final verdict 9 accidental food orgasms out of 10 Congratulations. You waited 40 minutes for soup and it was worth it.

Worth the line up! We waited for about 45 mins and the experience was superb! Broth is not thick, its soupy and delicious. The noodles are also chewy goood like al dente. The Char siu is the best, we even ordered extra! Its a must try when youre in Dotonbori area.

Even worst than instant pack ramen. Not worth to queue 30minutes for this. Alkaline taste noodle MSG taste soup Fried chicken taste like flour and not wet outside This is the worst ramen I have ever eaten, consider I have ate ramen in more than 10 country include Japan. Waiter and cook mostly foreigner.

I had the Chargrilled pork ramen. The pork is superb! I like this more than the kobe beef. Flavorful and super tender. The noodles taste good. The broth, I didn't find superb but it's a good one which gives a clean flavor. The staff are friendly and will happily serve you.

So good and worth waiting for. I’d probably go to their other location to have less of a wait, it’s only because the space is small with limited seating. We got the #5, the grilled cheese tomato ramen and gyoza. My husband said the pork ramen was the best we’ve had on our trip so far. Get the tomato ramen, it’s unique and so tasty! I think I’ll try it spicy next time. The gyozas were okay, but the ramen is definitely worth coming for!

This is hands-down the best ramen I've had. The meat quality is exceptionally high and unbelievably tender, melting in your mouth. The broth is rich, deep, and delicious. ​The atmosphere is typical and cozy, and the staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. Plus, it's a perfect late-night spot, staying open until 2 AM! ​I highly recommend this place for an authentic, high-quality, and late-night culinary experience.

Was there during 9:30 - almost 11 am Saturday morning. Some shops were closed / sold out but many were still selling. Many seafood you can try very fresh like sashimi-grade fish including the oysters. There are also fresh fruit stalls that you should try.

We visited Kizu Market during the summer and were surprised to find that they have air conditioning! It’s a great place to start the day with fresh seafood and local vibes. Definitely worth a morning visit if you’re in Osaka!

Love it! I had fun browsing the stalls. The fish, vegetable and fruits are fresh. There are a lot of stalls which sell ready to eat seafood and fruits for a reasonable price. There are 2 areas where you can eat. At the back of the market are a few sets of chairs and tables but it was crowded when I went. There is also a standing eating area in front of the grocery. I only had to wait a few minutes before I was able to secure a slot. I bought a set worth 1000 yen and the serving was too large for me. It is really affordable for the amount of seafood I got. The seafood was fresh and sweet. There is also a vending machine for drinks just behind the eating area. The place where they sell seafood has AC so it was comfortable to walk inside :)

After visiting Kuromon Market on a previous trip to Osaka, we decided to visit Kizu Market this time for a more local experience. Whilst the latter is a wholesale market of fresh produce, it was also recommended as an alternative spot to Kuromon for fresh seafood. Despite going on a day when Kizu Market was open, many of the wet market stalls were closed. Of the selected stalls that were open, we did purchase a small box of fresh sushi (¥1200) to enjoy. The price of the seafood is slightly cheaper than Kuromon, but there is also less variety. The lack of space to eat was, unfortunately, a downside of the market. We only saw a few standing areas where tourists hurriedly ate, whilst others stood close behind in anticipation of claiming the next available spot. Kizu Market also houses the large Oda supermarket, which boasts very reasonable prices of fresh produce. We saw several savvy tourists spending big at Oda and enjoyed quite the supermarket seafood feast afterwards. There were also vending machines dotted throughout the market which sold frozen gyozas, noodles, and seaweed. Overall a good experience at Kizu Market for those seeking a more local vibe.

I went there on 15th December, 2024 at around 9am plus, hoping to snag myself a bowl of fresh seafood for breakfast. But to my surprise, all the wet market stalls were closed except for the supermarket, and I found myself wondering, what on earth just happened? It was impossible that all the wet market stalls were closed on a Sunday when it was supposed to be crowded with shoppers looking to bag the best deal. Why, I even checked the calendar on my handphone to make sure that I did not get the date wrong. Yup, there was no mistake about it. It was a Sunday, alright—but there were no shoppers around, and all the stores were closed. I was desperate to find out why. Thankfully, I spotted an elderly lady approaching with a push trolley, so I took the opportunity to ask her why the market was closed on a Sunday. She told me that the market is usually closed every Sunday and that I’d have to come back on another day. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to return another day. So I decided to make do with the supermarket that was open. It's quite huge, and I think the prices were quite reasonable. So I found myself going on a shopping spree and partly to vent my frustration of not being able to enjoy a fresh seafood bowl. I easily spent more than 10,000 yen, and boy, my shopping bag was darn heavy. My arms, legs, and back were sore and aching from all that weight. I think this supermarket is a good bargain venue for smart shoppers who are looking to buy lots and lots of cheap Japanese food home.

The shop is cool, toilet is also available. Peach tea latte is very nice and strong when compare to one shot iced latte. Recommend to order double shot iced latte, otherwise you will most likely to drink milk with coffee scent.

Great place to get coffee and bagels. This spot has a lot of space to sit and have your coffee and enjoy aesthetics. If you get there during rush hour it may take a while for you to get your order. coffee machine (Victoria Arduino) - cortado 👌 ☕️ - iced latte 👍 - pastrami bagel 👍

The latte tastes great and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The cafe has plenty of seating, making it a nice place to relax. The space is bright with pleasant music, and prices are reasonable for the quality. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Ordered an Iced Military Latte and a Limited Earl Grey Smore Cookie. The latte was distinctive, could taste the different notes of matcha and coffee. Milk wasn't overpowering. The cookie was amazing! Earl Grey is my personal favorite tea and the aroma was intense and wonderful, not influenced by anything else like lavender. Cookie was crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside!

I ordered a coffee and a muffin and wanted to sit with my wife. The staff insisted that she also had to order a drink, even after I explained that she cannot drink coffee for medical reasons. They simply didn’t care. If the café had been full, maybe I could understand, but it wasn’t — there were plenty of empty seats. What’s the logic here? Do you really prefer to earn nothing and have us leave, instead of letting one person order and pay when the place is not even full? Instead of showing a little flexibility and understanding, we got a cold and unreasonable response. Even if their coffee is amazing, people come first — and for me this was humiliating. I will never return to this place.

Our first coffee at Osaka and did not disappoint. Their Cappuccino cups are too big. As we don’t want too much milk in our espresso so we opted for a piccolo cup and the friendly staff happily complied.

Came here because we stayed at the hotel next to it and it looked like a cool place. We found out they sell gluten free sweets that are very good and they have the best cappuccino. came back every morning.

I’ve given this takoyaki place more than one chance, but it’s gone seriously downhill. Last year, I ordered the bacon and cheese takoyaki and there was no octopus inside which was perfect for me since I don’t eat it. This year, I ordered the exact same thing again, and this time it did have octopus. I politely asked if they could make it without, and the staff just stared at me and started talking in Vietnamese, clearly annoyed and not helpful at all. The service was rude and unwelcoming. On top of that, the takoyaki was undercooked Really disappointed. The quality and service have completely dropped. Won’t be coming back.

Very tasty takoyaki and a nice quiet eating area upstairs if you want to get out of the crowd for a quiet moment to enjoy. You use the ticket system to order and pay which is convenient. Staff are polite and efficient. We had the gourmet set which was delicious.

Had the mixed set which was great to taste the different varieties. Came out quick even though it was busy. The batter itself seemed a bit undercooked. There is a piece of octopus in the middle which is nice

Stumbled upon this place while we were walking and were pleasantly surprised. We came right when a new batch of takoyaki was being made so it was very hot and fresh. The ordering process was very simple especially if you use coins, you just put them in the machine, get a ticket, then hand it to the workers then they will call your number when the order is ready. We sat downstairs but there was also an upstairs where there was more seating. I can tell this place gets pretty busy so we were lucky to come at a lul in the traffic. The takoyaki was very hot because it was just made and a little liquidy on the inside so if you aren't into that, this might not be the place for you. I liked it, so that aspect didn't really matter to me. Overall, I had a good experience!

A quiet and pleasant environment. Very near two art museums and along a lovely urban river walk. Had the chicken sandwich which was filled with vegetables, so perfect for a hot afternoon.

As a native Austrian i can say the food was authentically German, the portion size was adjusted to Japanese standards. The service was good as well. The beer is brewed in Japan but the ingredients are important from Germany.

Nice building. Lots of shops. Was really craving good Austrian, German food but it was a let down. The pretzel are frozen not fresh. That pretty much tells you all you need to know. (Right next door there’s an expensive Italian, that’s where you really wanna go)

With only two choices for breakfast we were a bit concerned. Lovely light breakfast...we were pleasantly surprised. Scrambled eggs with potato and cheese were loose but not runny. Ham and bread were delightful and the salad was a nice touch. Pancakes and yogurt were a hit with our 10 year old. This is a very light meal so if you are looking for a hearty hefty western breakfast you should look elsewhere. I would come back in a heart beat.

This is a place where you can spend a calm and relaxing time. I recommend using this place for dates.

Great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming like anywhere in Osaka. Beer was cold, chips were hot and tasty. The board game night was a lot of fun, everyone was very cordial. A lovely evening.

Amazing hidden gem in the middle of chaos. A safe space for any modern nerd with fantastic drink service and staff. Well worth a visit for a drink, a few games and a great time

What a great spot in the middle of everything Osaka. Starting with very nice staff that make you feel welcome right from the start. We speak English and one of the people there was from US so that was perfect for us. Nice selection of games with language indicators on the box for many of them. Small fee and one drink required, but time unlimited so that was amazing. Good coffee, tea, and beer. Only had fries which were good. Definitely a British pub vibe with a focus on the fryer. Unexpected bonus was open roof top area for gaming. If I lived in Osaka this would be a regular stop. At top of long flight of stairs that may be tough for some. Base on a flag and the general friendliness of staff and patrons this looks like anLGBTQ+ location.

This place is absolutely fantastic to hear with friends for food, games, and drinks. Hands down the place I will visit each night after a good day of walking and exploring. If you like board games, Magic: The Gathering, I heard they even run Dungeons & Dragons. They even have a rooftop terrace where you can sit and play games

Really chill bar with loads of board games to chose from. The owner is more than inviting and up for a chat. We got lots of great advice on foodie spots and more! If youre into board games, food or great drinks, I would recommend trying this spot! 😀

Decided to pop by this cafe as it was the nearest one. Already read the reviews before deciding on this place - kind of mixed so was a bit hesitant, but decided to give it a try anyway. If the place is full, expect to wait for quite a bit. We saw an empty table (the customers dining in had just paid their bill and on their way out), so we went in - the girl/owner (?) said to wait outside while the table is prepared - so we stayed outside... shivering in the cold at 5 degrees. She was pretty much the only one running all over the place - serving orders, handling the cashier, taking orders, cleaning tables,etc. The guy (her dad I think) was mainly at the counter prepping the coffee and food. It took a while before the table was finally ready, more or less 20-30 minutes. Honestly I would have preferred to wait inside and sit at a messy table - at least I'd be warm. Her English was good, so no communication issues at all if that's a concern. Wait time is another problem. The guy was the one prepping the coffee as well as washing the dishes, utensils, cups, etc. You can clearly see if they're preparing your order or not - and they didn't actually start making the coffee until after 20 minutes. We were just about to leave and have the coffee to go since we had to rush to a meeting - but it was already being poured and ready to be served - so took probably 30 minutes or more after our orders were taken. Pudding was 50/50 - personally prefer it sweet. Tasted a bit bland for me. Coffee was good though. Had a good kick to it. I'd come back and try again to give this place another shot, but man please hire at least 1 more person - the main problem I think is that it's only 2 of them and they're undermanned when things get busy.

A small coffee bar that feels old school and local. It's the anti-starbucks. No espresso drinks, just pour overs where you pick the blend from a menu of international bean options. I had the Kilimanjaro, which was well balanced and tasty. I also had the house made pudding which complemented the coffee well. I recommend if looking to rest the dogs a bit from shopping in Namba.

It took 40 mins to wait for the coffee & tea! We traced 3 times ! Staff is very offensive & claimed only 1 person to prepare food & drink ! Other tables who arrived at same time all got their food & drink! We just want to make sure orders were not missed but their reaction is a bit rude !

We had a coffee break here after an hour walked and shopped around this area. The Coffee jelly was good, sweetness was just nice. Brazil hot coffee was alright, its note was on the soury for my liking. Kilimanjaro hot coffee was good, rich body and medium sour note. The cheesecake cake and homemade Pudding was very flavourful and delicious, not overly sweet. Japanese dessert tend to be too sweet for our liking. It was about 3pm and it was full house. We waited in the queue for about 5 mins to get our table for 3.

I like the vibe , very old place, I love the old school vibe. But the coffee was sooo weak, you can barely taste any coffee, although freshly made, you can even see through the coffee( see picture), the French toast and the pudding were just ok , and lacked flavor , the lady with glasses behind the counter was sooo rude and arrogant, basically come for the nostalgia and the old school vibe

Coffee was very nice. I got the iced coffee. Even as a non-coffee drinker I thought it was very enjoyable. The real great part about the place is the atmosphere though. The decor is very old fashioned and the waiters are kind. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a coffee in a really nice cafe to relax after a day of visiting the city.

I’ve tried their granola for a breakfast and it was very tasty! The staff is super friendly. There you can by some cakes, sweets and coffee. Also, you can buy their granola and coffee (if you want to try their coffee at home). As fo me, I prefer cappuccino, but they have coffee with milk only :(

Great breakfast and lunch. On the picture it's the Banana maple syrup granola breakfast set. Japanese portions, so it's pretty small. No wifi unfortunately. Staff is very friendly and love to recommend it to people looking for a cozy cafe.

I had such a wonderful time at the cafe! Somehow, we managed to get an early slot at 10am. The cafe was very empty and I managed to get good photos of the cafe :) I didn’t plan on even coming here till we checked the reservation schedule just the night before. Anyway, the curry rice was pretty good, and the dessert was super nice as well. The pikachu performance was a highlight. Although expensive, most themed cafes are, so spending money was no issue. Very happy with my time here.

We went there with our son, without reservation and were placed in a queue. About 10 minutes later we were seated and were able to order. The waitresses were adorable and very helpful and the food was quite good. The main attraction is Pikachu's performance (a person with a Pikachu costume comes to interact and dance with the public). Our son loved it and so did we.

I was so lucky to get a spot just the night before! As a big Pokémon fan, visiting this café has always been on my bucket list 🥹 (I couldn’t get a reservation in Tokyo, so I was extra happy to find one here!). The café was super cute and perfectly decorated with so many fun details. The food was decent and could be a bit better, but the concept and presentation were so creative and adorable!

The Pokémon Café in Osaka is a charming themed restaurant that goes beyond great food to deliver a full experience. The dishes are creative, beautifully presented, and capture the fun spirit of Pokémon while still being tasty and satisfying. The staff are welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere is bright and playful, making it enjoyable for both fans and newcomers. A highlight of the visit is the adorable live show featuring a giant Pikachu dressed as a chef or waiter, which adds a unique and memorable touch to the meal.

The food and drink experience here is unfortunately forgettable but Pokemon Cafe makes up for that with the fun atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and exclusive merchandise that you can only get when you make a reservation. (You are also time limited here, can't stay forever) Do not come here for the food! There are so many other places to go that has much better quality and taste. You are only coming here for the experience, and the opportunity to buy exclusive merchandise that is only available to people that make reservations. This is one of the hardest places to get a reservation because people constantly just sweep them up as soon as it becomes available. If you are not a fan of Pokemon or don't intend to purchase any of the exclusive merchandise, you can easily skip this cafe. You can always queue without a reservation but honestly, it isn't worth the wait. So how is the food? Well, I've heard it described before as "airplane food" but I think that's a disservice to airline catering as I've definitely had some better food while flying. The Snorlax Lunch Plate while not bland, it wasn't exactly tasty either. Just run of the mill fried rice, grilled chicken and salad. The Eevee Royal Milk Tea wasn't sweetened but the tea flavor is buried and lost in the milk and whipped cream. The "choose your own pokemon" latte was standard issue. But it is nice that you get to choose from a large amount of Pokemon. The desserts....oh boy, those were moving into mediocre territory. One of the few times in Japan that the food looks better than it tastes. You can tell these were pre-made. While that is understandable for time and prep sake, the cakes tasted days old. Both the Pikachu Souffle and Monster Ball cakes were dry. No amount of syrup or whipped cream was going to save this. And the desserts were typical "not too sweet" Japanese fashion. Ultimately, yes, the food is quite disappointing. Overall, while I did enjoy my visit, I can only recommend Pokemon Cafe if you are true fan and aren't coming for the food. There is short interactive Pokemon show and you get to take nice pictures of a bunch of Pokemon themed things. But the aggravating reservation experience and average at best food should steer you towards other options.

We tried booking a month in advance but couldn’t get a spot. Luckily, I found a few time slots available for the next day and managed to book. The food was quite tasty for a themed café, and the prices were what you’d expect for a niche place. The design of the café is really nice. We were seated at a somewhat uncomfortable table with a divider between us (as a couple), probably part of a long shared table. There was a cute Pikachu performance, which added a nice touch. The café was very crowded with lots of kids, and at times it felt noisy like a school cafeteria. Their cocoa was disappointing – it’s pure cocoa, not milk chocolate. When I tasted it and asked to swap, they said I didn’t have to drink it but still had to pay. The menu only shows a picture, no description of the ingredients.

Super neat place to visit! If you cant get a reservation (these are made online a month in advance, please check the website), then you can still get in a separate line and hope for a cancellation to get in! It seems everything is done on a schedule, so the reservation parties get in, then any empty tables get filled by the separate line i mentioned, then you can order your food! After a bit, a show takes place, then, everyone is done, pays for their meal, and the next group of customers come in. I waited a reasonable amount of time for this because you aren't just "waiting for a table", it's a meal and show sort of bit!

Loved it! Amazing experience:) the staff may not be able to converse in English but they try their best to (one even uses a translator!) And the owner (or the main person in charge) is very passionate and loving towards his reptiles. He will guide you along with handling them and warn you if you're doing something that may upset or make the animal unhappy/uncomfortable. He also talks to the patrons about the snake they are holding, I wish I could understand Japanese better as you can tell he truly loves them. Not all the snakes and lizards can be handled, some can only be viewed or some can only be handled under owners supervision (he asked us if we felt comfortable enough to try one of the large pythons) Lovely place. Also tried the scorpion which was tasty.

LOVE IT!! spent nearly two hours there, falling in love over and over again. Edit: went back more than a year later, the place is much less crowded (only us and the other table) so I get to spend most of the time there with the biggest guy. The staff are very nice though they don't speak much English, and they love snakes dearly.

There are a wide variety of snakes and other reptiles. Some can be held - others are only for looking. The price is really reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the animals look well cared for.

This was a proper cafe unlike some of the other animal “cafes” I’ve been too. I just ordered a drink but they had a food menu which included exotic stuff like scorpion and frog, if you’re into that. There was no time limit so I got to hold multiple reptiles, even the huge boa constrictor!

Very good if you love snakes! Many different snakes to hold and take pictures with. Some lizards too. Looked like they were well cared for as well. Would love to go again.

Do not support abuse of beautiful reptiles. There is a distressed lizard next to the waiting table who was bleeding on his face trying to get out. His small cage had no floor, nothing for a proper enclosure, and this lizard was clearly very distressed. He was climbing the walls and falling. Some other people noticed his bleeding and seemed concerned. The other snakes seem to have OK enclosures, I am not sure why they are neglecting this one. I do not want to support a business who does not care for their animals. Please do something to make this lizard's life better and maybe I will visit again.

This is such a cool place, a definite must go in Osaka. The first visit is something special and after that you can come back for free any time. The staff are great and it's super safe.

They have special breeds of cats. Super cute and fluffy. Down side is the price. We paid 5000yen for 1 hour, including 2 lollipop cat snacks. The drinks are included and unlimited from the machines. The drinks taste ok. Nothing compared to fresh-made ones. I can imagine this place gets very crowded during busy hours, and it’s hard to get cats’ attention. They also have a collection of manga.

I had an amazing time at the cat café—everything from the cozy atmosphere to the friendly staff made the experience unforgettable. The café was spotless and beautifully decorated, with plenty of comfy spots to relax while enjoying unlimited free drinks, which was a pleasant surprise. The cats were clearly well cared for, playful, and affectionate, making it a joy to interact with them. You can even purchase treats for the cats (100 yen each), which they absolutely love—just make sure to bring some coins with you! It was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun, and I left feeling genuinely happy. I can’t wait to come back!

Cutest cafe ever!!! Lovely relaxing place with couches and places to chill and charge your phone with a wide variety of mangas also Mario kart!+ free drinks!!!! - went around closing time (7pm) and caught dinner time for the cats which is the best time. The cats look very well looked after and are so soft and fluffy. Don’t expect them to sit on your lap though!

I visited this cat café for the first time during our trip to Japan! We had an enjoyable time here. The atmosphere was relaxing and soft. The cats were really chill, but I wouldn't say friendly as they would not care to interact with you unless you have food. The cats's fur were amazing to pet. Staff service was of high quality! I recommend using a translator if you don't speak Japanese. It wasn't too crowded but there were quite a few people. Our experience was satisfying overall!

Excellent choice for Osaka city traveller. Pretty good location. , just walking steps to Nankai subway, Takashiyama shopping mall and Dontonbori. Nearby many shopping and restaurants, it's easy to go and through when you want to take a break/ nap during mid day and then enjoy night-light in late evening. Though not far away from that all, here is not hustle and bustle like some in the center of shopping zone. The room is spotless and larger than a standard Japanese room. All nessary amenities are provide in the room, like 2 bottles of water per day, POLA cleaning /washing set, air purifier, foot massage machine, etc. Complimentary of welcome drinks , night time Takoyagi with soft cream, etc. Staff is so helpful and welcome. I'm sure return here next time if I come to Osaka.

This is the worst hotel we stayed at in Japan, we’ve stayed at 2 others. It’s also the cheapest so I guess we get what we paid for. We value quiet and being able to get a good nights rest. Unfortunately the ceiling/floor was not well insulated so we can hear the footsteps of the people above us and we can even hear their tv. We stayed for 5 nights so I’m sure there’s been at least one changeover so this is clearly a hotel issue. Otherwise, rooms were clean. But the configuration is weird. The bathroom door opens to the landing area where you put your shoes. Not only is it awkward but you can’t step into the bathroom without stepping on where your dirty shoes are. The only good thing about the hotel is the location, it’s 10-15 mins away from lots of restaurants and shopping. I won’t be staying at this hotel again.

The hotel is in one of the best locations in Osaka.The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you as best as they can. Location - 10/10 - By far one of the best locations to stay at. The hotel is located next to Namba walk, meaning you can walk to the Midosuji line in 5 mins under a roof. It is also located near the Ebisu-Suji south entrance, which leads to Dotonbori after a 10-15min walk. There is even Taito station right across the bridge! Breakfast - 10/10 - The breakfast bar is by far one of the best parts of staying at this hotel. The bar offers a 100 different food items, from western breakdast to traditional Japanese breakfast and lunch cuisine. The food is also quite decent for am all you can eat style buffet Service - 11/10 - Staff here are very friendly, and will try their best to help you with your questions and problems. Shout out to one of the employees at the night bar for letting us use the eating utensils from the bar in the table area outside the bar to eat our outside food. It meant a lot to us! Facilities - 6/10 - This is probably the only part that is lacking with this hotel. There are only 2 washing machines (on floor 7) and 1 microwave (on floor 6) in the entire building as far as I am aware. There is also no way to know which laundry machines are free to use without going there. I also believe that space could better be utilized . For example, I think the night bar should move to the breakfast bar to better utilize the space, as the bar looks completely unused after 1pm. This would also free up the night bar area, which could have been used to hold luggage. Currently the front lobby will also act as a luggage hold during the middle of the day, which can get messy as seen after the World Expo. Room - 8/10 - I like the layout of the rooms. The room features a bedroom section, a shared sink section, a toilet room and a shower and bathroom. The only issue with the room is that there is no way to control the exhaust fans in the shower room. The exhaust fans appear to work automatically, but I don't believe they are sufficient in moisture control. The rooms are generally clean, as they are cleaned every 3 days. Cost - 9/10 - It was the cheapest hotel offered during the World Expo 2025. Mostly paying for the location and service.

The hotel is nicely situated in the center. Walk easily to metro and also bus stop from the airport. Easy to find food around, familymart is everywhere too. The room was clean and quite big. The bathroom was spacious, tatami mat in the bed room and the AC was clean and cold too. There's a machine to massage our feet too. A good hotel to try!.

Very disappointed with our stay at Hiyori Osaka. Location is great but…. Here is what we didn’t like: - Service was ok but definitely not what I would consider hotel level - Rooms were VERY small with no storage. We had to climb over our bags to get from our room to the toilet. - Beds and pillows were all extremely uncomfortable to the point where I developed a sore neck and back. Slept on the mattress topper on the floor the last night which was more comfortable that the bed. - Left our aircon on when we left the room for the day as we had 30+ degree days only to find that it has been turned off every time we returned to our room leaving our room scorching hot. - The fact they had laundry facilities was nice but the machines were hardly cleaned which left our clothing covered in fluff and dust. It has all the potential to be a great hotel but needs some serious looking at.

Location is really good as it is very close to Namba station, which has a train straight to Kansai Airport. There's also Namba parks mall which is closeby. The room was not that good. The walls and roof are not soundproof. You can hear the other rooms beside you and you can hear stomping from the top. Do not believe that the rooms are soundproof. The bed is okay but the pillows were not that good that it was difficult to sleep on. The blanket is also too thick in my opinion. The CR had a very weird, old and musty smell which we just endured. They do offer free ice cream and ochazuke, which was simple. I'd only stay here if I had no choice for the convenience and location. But I was disappointed with the room.

We are staying at the hotel in Namba. Upon checkin we were told the rooms weren’t ready. Wishing 2 minutes the same person said the rooms are actually ready but for early checkin of 1 hour will cost ¥2200 per room and he smirked. We have stayed in Kyoto and they had no issue giving us the rooms early. Breakfast we have paid the same as every guest. All 11 of us are vegetarian vegan. Every item has meat even the 2 beans salad and stir fried noodles so all we could have was lettuce tomato onions and bread. We asked the head chef and he was angry and he complained to the receptionist. This is absolutely disgusting all we asked was a bit more understanding. If your vegetarian vegan don’t stay here at all.

This is truly a one-of-a-kind cafe! There are bookshelves lining the shop and really interesting art on display, which apparently changes every couple of months. The owner makes incredible drinks (try the Maria Theresa! Or the rum coffee) and the waitress is super friendly. Great place to sit down with a book or a coffee and a long chat.

It seems super cozy. Unfortunately my boyfriend and I just came from another cafe and wanted to browse the books here...thinking it was a bookshop. We wanted to order tea to support the local business, but they have a rule where you need to order 1 drink per person. Very cute Japanese cafe that opens early. Good option when not much else is open... The egg Benedict on top of buckwheat pancakes was yummy. The hollandaise was a solid twist on the classic and had Dijon in it! Also really liked the lemon herb ice drink, kinda like a virgin mojito. Ideal after a night out drinking in Osaka!

I went here for lunch after arriving at Osaka and it was the best thing I did. It was rainy and chilly so I decided to go here. Even though there was a bit of a wait, I was not surprised because I expected it. The turnover is a pretty good pace so I didn't feel like I waited super long. I ordered at the kiosk & I was able to pay with apple pay which was amazing since I had limited cash. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. I would revisit here again!

We went to shinsaibashi Station and walk around the tourist Shinsaibashi suji that is a cover street and they sell all kind of products for tourist so we end up buying a ramen soup. This place had a long line waiting and it only had a single product, tonkatsu ramen miso soup. They can cook it at your taste, and add more garlic, green onions, egg, extra thin pork. And the noodles are prepared to your tenderness. Personally i like the noodles firm, which is alDente. If you choose medium they give the noodles soft.

It’s a unique dining experience where you sit in front of a bar with a small curtain that opens when your ramen is served. The seat is a fixed bar stool, which isn’t ideal for tall people as it doesn’t move, so there’s not much legroom. Overall, I think it’s a fun experience and I’d definitely go back.

I couldn’t wait to try this place so we headed straight there as soon as we arrived in Osaka. It was raining and chilly so this was the perfect meal. We arrived before the dinner rush so we only waited a few minutes after placing our order at the kiosk. Love the idea of individual stalls but you can still sit next to your guests. The tonkatsu broth was well balanced as I ordered the medium, perfect noodle texture, and the pork was actually my favorite part (I normally don’t enjoy the pork as much as the noodles but in this case, it was fantastic). Quick service and easy in and out. It might not be the best ramen you’ll ever have but it’s certainly worth a visit!

Had a great time with knowledgeable staff helping the kids to hold the reptiles. The property is kept quite clean given the number of roaming iguanas and tortoises. You need to purchase something as a condition of entry which was fine as there were plenty of food offerings and drinks. This was a fun experience overall and the kids loved it.

Had a fantastic experience at the reptile cafe! They have a diverse range of reptiles to interact with, including geckos, snakes, bearded dragons, and salamanders—there's something for everyone. They also have an interesting menu consisting of racoons, geckos, insects etc.. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making the visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend checking it out!

Cons: The food (rabbit) isnt very nice, and place is expensive and smells. We paid 8470 yen or sgd 76.56 in total for 2 drinks, 1 food, and feeding 2 animals.

I thought I’d do something different and try this reptile cafe. I attended later in the night at 8pm on a Sunday so it was nice and quiet. I don’t have much prior experience or knowledge with reptiles but this experience was really fun. I held a beautiful corn snake and a red tegu. The corn snake was very curious and the red tegu really just wanted to nap. Highly recommend this place! Super fun :)

Very cool themed cafe, and a great place for people like me to get over their irrational fear of reptiles. We spent some time with a gecko as well as a larger lizard. Keep in mind there are iguanas and a tortoise roaming around the cafe freely

My 13 year old daughter wanted to visit a snake cafe. This place did not disappoint. She had a great time. The staff did a great job showing her how to handle the animals and helping us. My daughter said she would work here she enjoyed it so much!

You pay a 1000¥ first timer tax (and similar tax of you just order drinks without food) so just a heads up. The food is so-so but I enjoyed my drink. The staff have limited (read:almost zero) English but they are very friendly and helpful and have an English menu and instructions for handling the animals so you will get by no worries. You basically call over staff and let them know which reptile you would like to handle as you sit and enjoy. The atmosphere is very cool and cafe is spacious...you just need to be careful of tortoises crawling (and crapping!) around the floor. They have a wide variety of animals (though some of them cannot be handled) and you can enjoy the various enclosures if handling a reptile is not your thing. I really enjoyed this place.

if you're visiting from another country, here's how our experience went (as non-japanese speaking foreigners): 1. we came in around 4:40pm (16:40) and picked up a menu from the front, then we were seated right away since the restaurant had a number of open tables (it was an odd time, but even as we finished up around 5:30pm there were still a fair few tables available) 2. they had an english menu! the pictures helped as well, and they told us the pancakes took about 20 minutes to make. we were confused on how to order, but you just need to waive down a staff member and they'll take your order for you 3. we ordered 3 different kiseki pancake options to share between 2 people (plain, berries, and apple cinnamon) as well as 2 drinks. we had the drinks come out first and you get a good amount of volume. the pancakes were then brought out one at a time about 5 minutes apart, and overall it only took 25-30minutes for all the plates to arrive 4. to pay, you just take the receipt they place on the table up to the register. no need to do any clean-up at the table, the staff handled it for us review: - food was delicious! 1 plate is definitely enough for 1 person (we over estimated how filling they can be) - staff were lovely and kind - wait time was not bad at all - atmosphere was good, but we ended up sitting next to a pair of seemingly snobby people who appeared to be sneering at us the whole time they were in the restaurant - definitely recommend if you're looking to try fluffy souffle pancakes in osaka japan!!!

Comfy restaurant with relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. We tried the new Royal milk tea pancakes with Earl gray crumble and Assam tea syrup. The flavour was very unique and refreshing, the pancakes were slightly denser then I had tries previously in other restaurants. Still delicious but something to note. Service was great and food came quickly.

Fluffy pancakes were on my bucket list for my Japan trip and I am so glad I stopped here! They take ~20 minutes to make (same as every place) and are sure to warn you of that! These pancakes are FANTASTIC. I’m not sure what the other reviews were saying about the service etc but we had great service, they warn you beforehand that the pancakes take about 20 mins to prepare because they are made fresh. I got the classic fluffy pancakes with strawberries on the side and when I tell you they were the best pancakes I’ve ever had, I’m not kidding. We had Happy Pancakes in Tokyo but they were not nearly as good as these. 10/10 would highly recommend and return in the future!

The chicken and eggs and pancakes with maple syrup was wonderful but the real star of the show was the lemon and rare cheese pancakes. We will be coming back! I'll start off by saying the novelty of the edible cups here is the biggest selling point. If you want those they are very small and are for strong espresso and match drinks. If you like those types of drinks, it's great, if not then you'll likely be better off with non ecocup drinks. The service was super nice and while they didn't have a fully English menu, ordering was still very easy in English. They give you a buzzer and it vibrates when your drink is ready. The atmosphere is my favorite part. This place feels like the beat kind of hole in the wall, it brings me back to a coffee shop I went to in downtown Philadelphia. No idea if this building is that old but it feels like it. It's right across from a park and some water, so getting a window seat is great for people watching.

I have been to a few cat cafés in Japan, and I have to say this is my favorite one. The cats are very friendly, playful and well taken care of. Their fur is shiny and extremely soft. As for the interior, it is very cozy and compared to other places I've been to, has no unpleasant smell at all. The owner is very polite and explains everything. There are toys and a profile book for each kitty. I have been twice already, and will definitely keep coming back to this place.

We loved this cat cafe. Stray cats are very well cared and in a healthy enviroment, with toys, blankets and little houses. Furthermore, the drinks and cakes for ‘humans’ are delicious. These cats are saved stray cats so they are very lucky, but they also need our support, so if you are looking for a comfortable and cozy afternoon surrounded by lovely kitties, this place is for you!

The dogs are all very small and cute, pomeranians, chihuahuas, etc. They get very excited when you walk in but calm down once you sit down. Some will even sleep on your lap. Fun and playful doggies roam around this small dog cafe. It's basically one room where you sit on the floor and let the dogs come play with you. Various toys are scattered around the floor for you to amuse the dogs with. You pay a fee according to how long you want to spend at the cafe. The basic fare which allows for 50 minutes also nets you a basic drink. If you really want to get the dogs' attention, you need to purchase a 2 hour slot. Included in this package is a little box of dog treats which the dogs go crazy for (you cannot purchase treats separately). While we were in the cafe, the dogs mainly hung around the people they knew who had the dog treats.

Had a fun time, we were missing our dog from home so came on our holiday to get our dog fix. The staff are very friendly and speak a little english which was good. The dogs seemed happy but were a little tired and sleepy when we went. One couple had the treats and they were swarmed by dogs everytime they got them out. There are many kinds of rare coffee beans,so it’s fun to meet ones I don’t know. Their roaster is fancy but only one, so they’ve already roasted some. That’s the point I couldn’t put full-marks.

Edit: I stand by my review. Worst matcha I’ve had in Japan 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 adding a photo of authentic, delicious matcha directly from a different store in Uji for comparison 🙊 Feel extremely scammed. Look at the sickening puke green and you will know it’s lousy, not real matcha. No taste of matcha at all and mostly milk. Yet it claims to be Uji matcha latte (650 yen). A big insult to Uji, Japan and matcha 🤮🤮🤮🤮 avoid at all costs!

You can choose a variety of green beans at let them roast a roast level of your choice. Sounds intriguing so I ordered freshly roasted Yirgacheffe (light roast). But the quality of the beans were mediocre. Bean sizes were not uniform leading to different roast levels within one batch (smaller beans darker roasted then bigger beans). Not surprising that the brewed coffee (V60 Switch) had a too much bitter aftertaste and only a hint of floral notes which expect in a good Yirgacheffe coffee. That's a little disappointing for that price.

Coffee roasting shop You can choose the bean and the type of roast and they will make it for you. It will take some time so you have to come back for it but it's cool to see it being done in-store. They have explanations of origins of each bean and flavor and draining profiles. I found the staff to be really nice and accommodating. They also sell cups of coffee if you just want to buy some really good coffee to drink when you are at the market.

Stall is impressive and they have a huge variety of beans. But the lady serving me didn't even know the difference between robusta and arabica beans and could not tell me the tasting notes. She kept pushing beans to my nose to smell. I tried to translate the description of the beans but it just describes the place and not tasting notes. And they are not cheap either. So I left without buying any beans in the end.

The uji matcha latte is is best ever. Worth it have to get. Speaks English the lady and love the service. Buy the uji matcha powder is $$$$ but worth being best matcha
