I recently visited a cozy, dog-friendly bistro in Brixham with a pleasant upstairs seating area that offers a view of the marina and the town's colorful houses. I stopped in for a coffee and a slice of cake on my way home. The creme brûlée was served still flaming, adding a subtle theatrical touch, and it tasted nicely rich. The passionfruit cheesecake was equally enjoyable. Overall, it’s a straightforward spot to relax and treat yourself, especially if you’re traveling with your dog.

We popped down with the kids, as they always have so much fun splashing and playing in the water. It’s such a lovely spot for families to relax and enjoy the day. This time, we decided to treat ourselves to some crab sandwiches, and they did not disappoint — fresh, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. Combined with the friendly atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, it made for a really enjoyable afternoon. We’ll definitely be coming back

The Breakwater Bistro is an absolute gem of British dining. The fish arrives encased in a light, golden batter—crisp, delicate, and utterly flawless—enveloping the freshest, most flavourful fillet one could hope for. Each bite is a masterclass in balance: a whisper of the sea, encased in perfection. The chips, too, are a triumph: beautifully crisp on the outside, fluffy within, and seasoned with just the right touch. Service here is exemplary—warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. My partner and I travelled over 200 miles for what we had been promised was the finest fish and chips in the United Kingdom, and The Breakwater Bistro did not disappoint. Indeed, it exceeded all expectations. And then came dessert, which elevated the experience even further. The waffles were warm, soft, and gently crisp at the edges, a perfect canvas for indulgence. I savoured the Terry’s Chocolate Orange creation—an exquisite balance of rich cocoa and zesty citrus—while my partner delighted in the Strawberry Meringue, a symphony of airy crunch, ripe fruit, and silky cream. Both were exemplary, executed with finesse and presented with an elegance that transformed classic comfort into culinary artistry. A true delight from start to finish, and unquestionably worthy of every mile travelled. The Breakwater Bistro is highly recommended to anyone in pursuit of the very best Britain has to offer.

Very beautiful views . Food ok but only had garlic bread and cheesy chips . Hubby had king prawns and he passed a comment that they was good . Staff very polite and helpful

We visited this restaurant whilst on holiday and chose it due to having some dog friendly tables, excellent views and good reviews. We weren’t disappointed. The food is wonderful. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The beach location and views are amazing, particularly if you get a window table at sunset! Booking advised as this restaurant very popular. Their outside seating and hatch food and drink service was also very busy, offering a different menu but clearly very popular. There is a small car park outside (with multi-story next to it).

Really enjoyed a seafood lunch here, had the fisherman's salad, and two of the specials - plaice and sea bass. Salad was great, lots of prawns, crab and smoked salmon. Specials were good but veg was just plain boiled, could have been a bit more adventurous. Lobster sauce was very nice though. Very relaxing on the upper floor overlooking the bay and harbour, with a good selection of beers also.

Everything was brilliant the food was sooo filling we couldn't even finish it! We got french toast and banana bread w whipped ricotta and maple syrup - very sweet! Only negative would be the toilet but staff and atmosphere was lovely

Probably the best brunch I've ever had. Have tried to recreate at home since and fallen short of the mark! Really wish there was one of these near us. Incredible food, relaxed easygoing vibe, attentive but chilled service -can't fault it, can't wait to go back!

This was a nice surprise. From the outside, the cafe looks average but you will not be disappointed. The food is very special, tasty and well decorated. I had the pulled pork focacchia. Sounds not so interesting but it came with a great sauce, some salad, potato salad and a delicious filling plus a fantastic mint joghurt sauce. The service is very friendly and fast. Nice people around, so I can very much recommend this restaurant.

Delicious crab Benny, brown and white crab meat on crusty sour dough bread, with two perfectly cooked poached eggs on top. Early seventies music playing in the background was also to our taste. The staff were friendly and attentive, definitely worth a visit. April 2023: just stopped for a coffee, busy but a good buzzing atmosphere

Went twice here for there brunch menu, both tines had excellent food, though not traditional breakfast there offering where varied and good for all tastes. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito so much I had it both visit. But my wife enjoyed other items as well. Good friend service, and fair pricing.

Such nice friendly staff, great atmosphere, amazing food. Able to make the whole brunch wheat, egg and milk free and was absolutely delicious. Also accommodated our pram and fed without feeling at all awkward. Thank you! awesome start to the weekend.

Cool quirky cafe in Brixham with great attention to detail. I can’t wait to come back and try their food too. They do vegan milkshakes and hot chocolates with “all the trimmings” which was a real treat!!

Went there twice, first with a friend then with my family for results day and both times the food was quite nice just not great, my mum cut her gum on the crust of the toast (avo toast) but I loved the bread I thought it was great, the chia pudding was a little dry for my preference but everyone takes theirs different! Food takes quite a wait and the staff just mind their own business which isn't a bad thing, is a very cute shop though (and a lot of brownie points for the thought put into the bathroom!) Definitely worth a try :)

Great coffee (long black). A slightly darker roast which I love without the liquorice notes of lighter roasts that have become generic in the last few years. The place feels cosy, quirky, and lovely inside (hard to define what makes this so, but some places just have it embedded) and super helpful barista who was happy to make sit-in coffee with ten minutes until closing. I’ll be back.

Best place for brunch & coffee in Brixham! Food was absolutely delicious - I had the biscoff pancakes and my partner had the breakfast hash. Both were amazing, generous portions and really high-quality! Coffee here is so good too - great flavour and quite a big menu. It's quite small inside, so definitely worth arriving early if you'd like breakfast/brunch.

Popped in for coffees - 2 sizes of Lattes & Americanos - small but perfectly formed food menu. Nice atmosphere - we sat in window watching the Brixham bods go about their days. Good range of cakes, sadly no breakfast pastries which was a shame. Would recommend if you're in town.

What an absolute gem! Crawling bleary eyed into this oasis following a particularly heavy night at the Brixham Pirate Festival I was served what can only be described as a mountain of bacon, it must have been about 30 rashers of exquisitely cooked deliciousness. Service with a smile, great menu, delicious coffee - would give more than 5 stars if I could…

A lucky find during a long walk. Lovely range of food and drink. Well priced tea and cake (cake is obviously home made) very friendly welcoming staff/owners who obviously love what they do. A rare find and we would be happy to return.

A lovely place to visit while in Brixham. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We ordered bacon sandwiches and hot chocolates ( much needed given the weather yesterday). The sandwiches were served with salad and nacho chips and we received a nice little biscotti biscuit with the drinks. Food was excellent and the drinks were hot and VERY chocolatey. Highly recommended.

Popped in on a rainy Friday morning, we were met by very friendly staff. We ordered 2 cream teas, 1 gluten free cream tea and a sausage bap. The cream teas were lovely, soft fresh scones with yummy cream and jam and hot coffee and tea. The sausage bap was also tasty. Great to find somewhere that caters for those wanting a gluten free cream tea. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing deli, very reasonably priced with cafe. Offers a range of hot and cold drinks, cakes, snacks and lunches. Has large gluten free range including gluten free scones cream and cheese teas. Highly recommended and will return when next in the area!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic spot in the heart of Brixham! We had a brilliant meal at The Old Market House – the setting by the harbour is beautiful, with lovely views of the colourful hillside houses and boats bobbing on the water. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh seafood, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Service was top class, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We sat upstairs in the dog free area and really enjoyed the atmosphere – very relaxed. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Brixham. A real gem! Shout out to our server Joy, what an incredible person with great chat!

Well appointed restaurant/bar on Brixham harbour. Spacious dining area over 2 floors including a first floor balcony, with fantastic views over the quayside and harbour. We visited on a Sunday evening and it was fairly busy, but no wait for a table. Our steaks were cooked as requested and were tender and tasty. Meal was well presented. Service on arrival was a little slow but once we ordered the food arrived promptly. Would definitely visit again.

My husband and myself went in for Sunday lunch today and it was amazing. The quality of food and amount of food was outstanding. Excellent value for money and delicious. Service was very quick considering how busy it was and Analicia couldn't be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend the old market house, definitely worth a visit. 10/10 👍

Arrived for a couple of hours in Brixham and you guessed, it started to rain. Made a quick dash into the first place we came to which just happened to be Old Market House. So we decided to have some lunch. O/h had calamari with a sweet chilli mayo which he said was divine. I had a classic prawn cocktail which again was delicious. We both opted for the scampi and chips and it didn't disappoint. Prices are on the high side but well worth it. The appearance of Black Heart made the afternoon! Would we come again - absolutely!

We had a gorgeous meal couldn't fault anything. At a push only thing I would mention is wine a bit overpriced but hey ho we are on holiday 😀

We went for Sunday lunch on a very wet day in Brixham! Sunday Roast was amazing. Generous portions and a big bowl of veg to share and extra jugs of gravy. Friendly staff and good service. Great location in the heart of the harbour. We will return!

Another great visit to Alf Resco’s for brunch. It’s good enough to generate a queue. We had excellent coffee, fresh orange juice and a mix of great breakfast goodies. The Sharpham Open Toasted Ham Sandwich was a highlight, as was the BLT with a fried egg. Great place, dog friendly, but expect to queue for your food.

Vegan Breakfast was a little small and a bit bland. Two toasts would have been great for £12. I found the staff were excellent. Friend had the Big Alf’s breakfast and he said that was good. Thanks though guys.

Very popular for breakfast/brunch. Get there early-ish or be prepared to wait as they don't accept bookings. Remember to look at the specials board as dishes like Eggs Benedict are not on the normal menu.

Beautiful breakfast place to start you off with you day. Everything is freshly prepared and delivered with care. The staff are friendly and polite. Definitely recommend the full English breakfast. It’s a classic but it’s worth every penny

A nice setting. Very small inside and staff are keen to have you sit outside. The food and drinks were nice, albeit a little on the expensive side. The experience was slightly ruined by the cold welcome. It’s basic politeness to smile and say hello when a customer enters your establishment. Instead, we received a firm face and a “yes…?!” I must say, it made us feel like we weren’t welcome. I could no more say that to a customer than fly. The young lady was polite. I got the feeling it was the owner that was the cold one. If correct, she should know better.

So me my mum and little boy visited today. We sat down in this very nice cafe. The staff were delightful and very polite. We ordered lovely food which came very nicely Presented. My little boy then proceeded to be sick which wasn’t a shock because we didn’t think he was quite right in the morning. The staff were amazing they helped us clean up and helping my boy change his clothes. They never once made us feel guilty! Amazing place, amazing staff and amazing food! Ps this was not food poisoning.It was a sick bug! Thank you!

So quirky inside, very cosy, the big breakfast was all it promised and so tasty the local sausage and tasty bacon,2 egg,hash brown, mushroom, tasty grilled cherry tomatoes, beans ,choice of toast , gave hog a miss , personal choice , was very hearty and good to eat . Tea refill was appreciated. Staff all very attentive but not intrusive. 2 shots in my partners coffee was standard and much appreciated. All in all highly recommend food and service great .

What's not to love about having a bite to eat in a beautiful setting. We had a doorstep bacon 🥓 sandwich 🥪 and a bowl of chips washed down with two extra hot skinny lattes. We sat outside on the park bench & tables (some are badly weathered and need repairs or replacing). Service was good, the staff were attentive and polite. The food was well cooked and delivered hot... Highly recommend the walk and the well deserved break at the Guardhouse Cafe.

Visited with family. Plenty of paid parking and there is a 4.5 circular walk if you fancy it. Weather was lovely and a canon is outside the cafe on site. Shirt walk to the unmanned lighthouse and beautiful ocean views.

A welcome stop off point on a walk around Berry Head. Lovely quality food and pleasant staff. Returned for an evening BBQ too which was a special event advertised on their website. Good live music and great views too for different experience.

Excellent cafe / restaurant in a Napoleonic era guardhouse from 1801. Great coffee and drinks and delicious food. Wonderful to sit inside on a cold day but the true joy is a Summer’s day sitting outside on the tables on the grass looking south-east over the sea.

We had one large and one regular cod and chips. Very nice, the fish was lightly battered. Only downside is the seating isn't very comfy.

We had takeaway and sat outside the restaurant, ordered a large fish to share and it was amazing! Incredibly fresh and nice fish. Chips could need some improvement but not terrible! Would’ve been nice if there was some shade outside, especially on such a hot day

The fish was delicious with crisp thin batter and lovely flaky meat. It was certainly up there with some of the best I've had. The same goes for the chips and peas, these were delicious too and couldn't fault them. I only gave 3 stars for the service as the young girl that served me was quite miserable and not very pleasant when being served. I know this is subjective and it doesn't take away from the fact the food was delicious.

Visited in August, hubby had the special (cod, chips & curry sauce) absolutely delicious freshly cooked fish with superb batter and very tasty chips. I had the mini fish, chips & peas which was also delicious. Would not go anywhere else in Brixham, infact we’re going again tomorrow!

Five dined on Sunday teatime. Excellent juicy fish and home cut chips, both delicious and tasty. Curry sauce was lovely too. Staff were extremely helpful but not over the top, took our order, brought out our food and drinks and checked everything was OK a few minutes later. Would definitely be back.

Really delicious fish and chips, some of the best I've had in ages! We had the fish, chip and mushy pea special which was great value and cooked really well - Crispy batter, really fresh fish and lovely chips. The service was efficient and friendly and our food came out quickly. The view from upstairs was lovely too.

Really great first floor restaurant with comfy booths & fab views out over the harbour. Had the ‘small’ fish, chips & peas (£8.99) which was as much as I could eat for lunch! Superb fresh cod in a gorgeous dry, crispy batter, served with high quality confinements & a wedge of fresh lemon. Brilliant & speedy service too, so overall, an truly excellent experience! It’s quite warm tonight on Christmas Eve and I enjoyed this Daiquiri with coffee eclair outside. We’ve been a few times over the years when we visited Brixham and loved the deco inside too. Friendly staff and great service.

Liberty is a quirky and fun bar/ restaurant and the cakes are absolutely amazing, I opted for the cream tea for one which came with two scones so very generous. We have rested toasties for lunch and whilst nice we expected them topped come like most restaurant toasties with an abundance of cheese on the inside and as a topping but sadly they were a bit dry. The sausage roll however was fabulous!

This is an absolute gem of a cocktail bar that you need to visit if you are nearby. Firstly, the decor both inside and out is amazing and really makes you feel comfy and ready to work your way through the menu. The staff are on another level with their service ⭐ You can always guarantee your drink will be made to perfection and no eye-rolls when you ask for an Espresso Martini as there is also a coffee & tea bar there too. The menu is very extensive and gives a clear description on what the drink is. Each drink is decorated to a high level and garnished to perfection. If alcohol isn't your thing, they do have an impressive selection of teas and other non-alcoholic drinks and their cakes are just beautiful. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby, you won't regret it.

Been to this place everytime i visit Brixham .. the decor so lovely. The coctails are great and the staff are outstanding. A big thank you to this young bar man who went out of his way to light my cocktail 🤗

What a fabulous place this is! I fancied another drink but my wife wanted a cup of tea🙄🤣 So this is the perfect place. They have all the usual alcoholic drinks, it’s a normal bar, but they also have a fantastic selection of teas and cakes, we thought this was a great idea and more bars should do it! Also the staff were lovely and the decor was mad, it all made for a nice evening.

Bank holiday Monday so expected it to be busy. Found a table but had to clear it of used cutlery etc as seagulls were attacking tables for leftovers. My wife and her cousin went to order coffees at the main bar across the road, leaving me at the table watching the 3 children. While we waited a member of staff arrived to promptly remove the empty chairs from the table and reposition to other now vacant tables . I ignored this and put it down to the lady being upset at the mess caused by the birds earlier. Two minutes later she returned to ask in a rude manner “are you eating from liberty”. In a respectful manner I replied that my wife had gone to order. Without reply she stormed off still upset at having to clear tables. Having taken offence at the rude manner and approach I went to find my wife to try to get her to cancel her ordering from this establishment. Without success I returned to the table to await their return. Amazingly at the same time the lady (Max) had arrived with our drinks followed by my wife. Then came the final ‘straw’….. Max (whom her colleagues called her) pointed at the pastry and said “you can’t eat that here”. Gob smacked at the rudeness shown I explained to her (without any bad language) that you don’t treat customers in such distain and a rude manner , making sure other customers had heard my complaint. I’m sorry that the pastry had been bought at another establishment but we had bought our drinks from them and my wife hadn’t even sat down, not knowing at that point who’s seating was who’s ? In this day and age of money being tight I’m amazed that someone can be so rude to customers and think they’re right in doing so. Her questioning could have been in a more polite manner without trying to belittle someone. Thankfully other members of staff didn’t seem to share her same issues in courtesy and respecting customers.

We booked an afternoon tea for a birthday celebration however the birthday girl hurt her back and we had to ring and request it as a take away that morning. Mark couldn't have been more obliging, and the tea packed was astounding; freshest sandwiches, best scones we've ever had (generous amount of clotted cream too) and an enormous selection of delicious cakes. Highly recommend, we look forward to sitting in next time, thank you Dilly Dally tearoom.

Visited today as a family and was really impressed with the service and food. The gentleman who served us ( I believe he was the owner ) gave us the best customer service we have ever had. He was so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and great value for money. The best scone I’ve ever had! I would definitely visit again.

This is a lovely small quirky cafe, have to get in quick or book in advance. Food is amazing, the hospitality and service is second to none. Always treated like a VIP. We had the privilege of going on Mothers day and every mother had a bunch of daffodils (these are my favorite flowers? Highly recommend.😁😊

Delicious takeaway afternoon tea. Kim and Mark were very good in providing a takeaway afternoon tea for us even though their lovely tea room is closed. Lovely fresh sandwiches, cakes, scones and macarons. Generous portions of strawberry jam and Roddas cream. Beautifully packaged and thoroughly enjoyed during our week's festive break. Highly recommended when they re-open.

Highly recommended! There were two us of choosing to celebrate birthdays here yesterday and we were made to feel so special. Our Devon Cream teas were everything we dreamed of. Just perfect. Their breakfast looked amazing. So much attention to detail. Such a lovely spot in Brixham. If you can get a table you're lucky!!!

What a find! We were nearby on holiday and looking for a Devon cream tea - THIS place seemed to fit the bill and oh wow! It was truly delicious - the scone was still hot from the oven! Tea was served in a teapot with cup and saucer. There were even the options to replace the tea with prosecco or a G&T! I also liked the eco-friendly use of washable flannels to dry hands. That plus a friendly welcome and reasonable prices make this a special place indeed! Only 4 or 5 tables, though! Worth reserving ahead of time!

I liked the fact that you can sit outside by the harbour and soak in the nice vibes you get from this small fishing place. What I didn’t like was the fact that the staff are friendly but lack customer service. The lemon drizzle was okay but the coffee didn’t taste that nice, and the baby chino for some reason tasted minty. Overall it was a good experience.

Nice location, ordered a pasty, 2 paninis, a coffee & soft drink. Pasty was served straight from the hot counter at the till. Paninis proceeded to take at least 15 minutes to be delivered. Despite having 2 panini grills, only one was switched on and there were multiple takeaway orders to be heated & boxed up before ours went in. Had to ask how long as my husbands pasty was going cold, then the paninis arrived 5mins apart. So not really the family lunch we planned when we all ate at different times. And don’t expect any side salad/crisps with your £4.50 panini - it’s just by itself on a board. Shame.

I really can’t comment on the food overall but certainly the icecream and homemade cakes were excellent and the staff were super friendly. Made us feel very welcome and fond of Brixham overall!

Perfectly located next to the entrance to Dartmouth Castle the Tearooms provides a lovely location to sit outside and enjoy the view of the mouth of the River Dart and surrounding countryside. Was a little disappointed in the cake, it was very dry, perhaps a little on the stale side, which given the number of people was a little surprising, perhaps not a popular choice? And there were no prices on the selections in the cabinet, something that does puzzle me at times. The bacon certainly smelt wonderful, and the view was superb.

Looks lovely - but very frustrating that they changed the opening hours and don’t update Google. Planned a walk to the castle and back, expecting at least somewhere to get water and a snack when we arrived and they had shut at 2pm contrary to their supposed hour’s. Shop/ticket office doesn’t even sell water and there is absolutely nowhere else in walking distance. Maybe call ahead if you want to be sure it’s open.

Absolutely delicious cream tea and you get 2 fresh home made scones with your cream tea. Beautiful setting too. Highly recommend the scones. Far better than those we tried in cafes in town.

Twice we arrived 10 mins before closing, only to find everything cleared away and the staff no longer serving. Both times we only wanted ice creams for the children (who had run the last bit of our walk to get there on time), and both times the staff refused. Such a shame!!

Pretty decent pasty shop, in that there are two vegan options amongst the pasties and they are good. The red Thai one is more Italian as it’s heavy on the tomato. Service felt a little rushed and cold even tho it wasn’t highly busy. Nicely located along the harbour.

Amazing pasties and their Vegan sausage rolls are probably the best we've tried. Friendly service, clean bright premises. We've already been back. Parking is in main paid car park and if you had towards the sea U can walk down alley close to Fullers.

I've got a campervan and have travelled far and wide and tried a lot of pasties on the south coast. These are top quality!!! The large ones are fantastically massive!!! The fillings are perfect with the perfect ratio, the quality of the meat is very good. Flavours are spot on all cooked to perfection to give a really top quality fresh product. Probably the best I've ever had!! 100% worth going out your way for!!! 👌👌👌

The food itself is gorgeous and went on 2024 with no issues. This year however, a young girl with glasses and coloured streaks in hair looks permanently miserable, lied re closing time one day and when pasties ran out another day, failed to tell us more were about to be stocked as we saw 2 minutes later. We purchaed elsewhere after that. Luckily other staff are lovely and the food is delicious but she's going to lose customers with this approach. I don't often leave negative reviews but feel as it happened twice and I saw it with other customers too, she needs some training.

Fullers Pasties are always our choice for the best tastiest and hot pasties in Devon. Friendly staff and the perfect location for a takeout pastie and drink, sitting on the harbour bench opposite watching the family of swans exploring the harbour side. The pasties are crammed full with ingredients of the highest quality, never too much pastry on the outside, just how I like my pastie. Then there’s the amazing view and atmosphere as all the visitors explore Brixham, the market and the seafarers preparing their boats and fishing nets. A true experience for any visitor from abroad makes this a must when visiting the UK and especially Devon. 10/10

Fantastic shop. Pasties are creative and delicious. Some are better than others but this is going to be down to personal taste - and their range is so wide that you are guaranteed to find at least one that you want! We tried the chicken/chorizo/bacon, lamb/mint and hog roast ones today. They are reasonably priced for takeaway and the staff are very friendly.

Had steak and stilton pasties from here today to take away. Ate them on the quay side. Absolutely delicious. Well cooked and stuffed full, no empty spaces inside. Really good quality and fair price. Lady who served me was very friendly

A fantastic little hidden away gem. Extremely quirky with all kinds of ship related memorabilia, it will keep you entertained for ages (Don’t forget the toilet). It’s more of a museum than a place to get a coffee. Great coffee and excellent staff who were friendly and polite. Highly recommended

Stopped by for breakfast and was welcomed by the owner. We ordered the Captain's breakfast, which was very comprehensive. We were served by Elvie who also did the cooking and her service was exemplary. The breakfast was possibly the best I've ever had when eating out. The scrambled egg being the highlight. I highly recommend a visit not just for the food but the fascinating memorabilia on display.

This place is a hidden gem, a really lovely place for a tea, coffee, cake or meal. Also a fantastic experience looking around the wonderful nautical memorabilia. Highly recommended.

We visited Brixham in July in our wedding anniversary,as we hadn't been here for many years. We were recommended to this tea room by a lovely lady who owned one if the art galleries in the town. I'm so pleased she did as this place us fab-u- Lou's!! Totally unique and crammed full of exhibits and memorabilia from a bygone age. We had a cream tea which was delicious and my visit to the toilet was 'fun' ....😁 Recommend this tearoom, and will be back next time we're in Brixham.

They serve a lovely cream tea. The scone was perfect with a big dollop of cornish cream. I chose a homemade lemon curd in place of jam. Perfect

We were really excited after seeing the chart room online prior to our visit to Brixham. We attempted to visit today and stood in the entrance for around 10 minutes waiting to be seated. During this time we were completely ignored. The lady who was setting up the tables, was actively avoiding looking in our direction and just refused to acknowledge us, there were plenty of spare tables and hardly anyone in the tea rooms. After 10 minutes we left after never being acknowledged not sure what we did to be shunned but very disappointed as we were looking forward to visiting the chart room.

Wonderful, unique cafe. An absolute hidden gem. Retro, ship themed cafe/mini museum experience (even the loo is brilliant and not to be missed). The staff were so welcoming- Karen who served us was so attentive and Bob the owner made us feel so welcome and told us the history of the place and how it’s his retirement passion. Lovely coffee, cakes, afternoon teas and breakfasts. Wonderful atmosphere and artifacts. Not to be missed!!

We were looking for cream tea whilst in Brixham and wandered along the street and my daughter spotted trinity cakes. We check we could take our dog in and they said if he’s a well behaved dog. The service was friendly and we found that by chance the lady used to work just up the road from where we live in Berkshire. The feel is cosy and just like you’re friends and in someone’s living room. If you’re in Brixham and want a slice of cake or cream tea definitely pop in here.

Trinity Cakes was wonderful! They were super accommodating with timing and schedules to make sure the cake looked beautiful for pictures since we didn’t have a air conditioned reception hall.

I live in Coventry and ordered a cake by text for my Dad's 90th birthday which we would be spending in Brixham. Karen was brilliant in her suggestions and help and we decided to base the cake on my Dad's sports car which he had in the 1960s. The cake was amazing both to look at and to eat. Dad loved it! Thanks for everything.

This is a beautiful quiant little place. Came across this whilst having a walk round on our last day (unfortunately) the cheesecakes, scones, brownies were perfection got a selection of jams with our cream teas. It was delicious and the staff that was working today was absolutely fantastic with my daughter they were so friendly and lovely and a credit to the business. Thankyou very much.

What an absolute delightful little friendly place to visit! Called in for a toasted teacake and coffee, sitting facing the window, I spotted the fabulous cakes in the window, just had to try the rockcakes with another lovely coffee! Will definitely be going again! The premises look so pretty.

My parents live in Brixham and I wanted to send them a nice surprise being that we can't be together for Christmas. Karen and Leah were absolutely amazing. My mum ended up in hospital for longer than anticipated but Karen made contact with me every day to ensure my mum was home before the lunch/cream teas and mince pies were made and delivered. My parents were totally thrilled with their delivery and can't wait to tuck in. I will definitely be ordering from you again. Thank you again to Karen and Leah, you are amazing. So glad I stumbled upon this little Brixham gem in my quest for a proper brunch (complete with a sausage 😁) and a great cup of coffee! The atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious, and the staff are absolutely fantastic – so warm and welcoming. They genuinely couldn’t do more for you. Even the chef gave me a friendly nod as I walked past the kitchen, which really added to the experience. In a post-Covid world, where customer service often feels like it’s in decline, it’s refreshing to find a place that truly values its customers. This is exactly the kind of business I want to support and I’m already planning to come back tomorrow!

My dog and I had the warmest welcome at The Larder. The coffee and food were delicious & so reasonably priced. I would highly recommend over the overpriced cafes on the harbour front!

We were a family of 3 adults, and two teenagers. We thoroughly enjoyed our cooked breakfast (at 11:45) , and can highly recommend it. We're all fussy coffee drinkers and we thought they were excellent. We also tried their "smoothie of the day" wish was mango, banana and spinach...we can thoroughly recommend it... It was very well made, tasty and refreshing. We sat outside, which was lovely (we noticed that it is very dog friendly) 😊. The staff are very friendly, and helpful. The venue waa calming and spacious. The menu was interesting and varied. The sausages on the breakfast were really tasty. We all thought that the quality, price and portion sizes were good value. We will be back...

My sister and I had a delicious brunch at The Larder this morning. As always the food was delicious and freshly cooked to order. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the cafe had a great ambience. Highly recommended - we will be back!

It's a 4* for me, could so easily be 5* but for the wait on food. I know it's all cooked to order but a 40 minute wait on a cooked breakfast is just too long considering its 2 rashers of bacon, sausage and an egg that's gotta be cooked. Lovely location, great staff, fantastic granola. 🫤😴😴

We had the special - grilled mushrooms on sourdough bread. With hash browns. Delicious. Very cool cafe on a hot day. Such friendly and efficient service. Lovely community focused cafe. I’ll be back if I’m ever in Brixham again. Highly recommended!

Popped in for coffees and cake with the kids as we did laundry nearby. Staff gave a warm welcome and we sat in the outdoor area. Excellent coffee selection and lovely Bakewell, they had a great selection of games, puzzles & colored pencils to keep the children entertained.

I've been fortunate to come into this Tea room many times and I have to say that's it's a wonderful place to go. It's ran by amazing people who will go above and beyond to make sure that you have great customer service. They make you feel welcome and the items that they sell are fantastic. From beautiful art work to a poster board where there are many things going on in the community etc. Their Welsh Cakes are delicious and also their cheesecake is fantastic as well. I shall be returning many more times in the future.

Came in with our 5 month old baby who was feeling a little fussy. Everybody (the staff and the regulars) was super friendly and entertained him while we had a lovely cream tea. The atmosphere was wonderful - would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely afternoon cream tea, close to the harbour. Owner was lovely and kind - engaged with our children and even gave them temporary tattoos! Would highly recommend.

Delicious scones for a cream team this afternoon, so good I forgot to take a photo before we ate them all! Clean plates is a good sign! Friendly staff and very quick service. We will be pre-odering an afternoon tea in the future.

Five stars all the way. We were quite late in the afternoon,but i managed too get the last fruit scone. The rest of my party had plain ones. And they were all very nice,lots of jam and cream, more if we wanted. My husband also had a slice of lemon drizzle cake which was delicious. The lovely lady that served us /owner was very nice and friendly. To top it off the owner made Welsh cakes while we were there, another of my husband's favourite's. Half a dozen bought, can't comment on them yet as not tried. A lovely hour or so spent in Crafty Cwtch Tea Room is definitely recommend.

Amazing little tea room. The afternoon team was outstanding and the owners are so friendly. They catered well for our children and the cream tea is the best I’ve had in Devon. Well done on feeding the family and keeping everyone so happy and very full. We’ll be coming back again next week.

There's a nice atmosphere here. I visited on 11th November and the staff called a 2 minutes silence for remembrance, which was a nice touch. The hotel chocolate here is also very nice. Generally busy here.

Popped in for a bit for lunch and had the most amazing sausage and bacon rolls. Everything home made and prepared beautifully

What’s not to love!! Genuinely lovely & caring staff, even remembered how I liked my Mocha made when we returned a couple days later. Our dog Waffles really enjoyed the free treats, thank you again! Delicious fresh food made with care. Sad we don’t live closer but we’ll definitely be back when we are in the area again!! Keep up the fantastic service!

Absolutely lovely place to eat and drink, staff are always friendly, welcoming and always accommodate me and my wheelchair so i can sit at a tablet comfortably without getting in the way. Their milkshakes are divine and they do not scrimp on food. Definitely worth the prices!

A great place to be. Run by a very charming couple who are very kind, welcoming and attentive. I visit with a mobility limited friend and they have always been welcoming and made adjustments for him. We will be coming back for as long as they’ll have us!

Great valued breakfast with free tea/coffee. Nice view when sitting outside. However with one person cooking, one making coffees and taking order, there could be a wait when the cafe is really busy. But still our regular place we go for breakfast when in Brixham.

Had nice meals in this cafe. Had the ham, egg and chips and sausage, egg and chips. Also had a fanta and a tea. The service was quick and food was hot. Only downside was it was a little bit greasy. The meals were a good price.

Delicious Breakfast!! Very nice Cafe, served by nice lady and a great atmosphere with the Fisherman overlooking the harbour. Breakfast was plentiful and tasted great, just what was needed after walking to Brixham from Paignton. This will be my go to when in Brixham from now on!

Cracking cafe and food is always top notch. My other half had been dreaming of the avocado and prawn baguette since our last visit in 2022. She was not disappointed on our return this week. The cheese and poached egg on toast was amazing. I highly recommend

I can't begin to truly describe how beautiful this little cafe is. The women working at the cafe are so warm, welcoming and full of joy. The location is so peaceful and scenic and to top it all off, a Robin ate some crumbs from my hand. My visit to Fishcombe Cove Cafe will forever be one of my favourite memories and I will 100% be coming back. I can't recommend you come and visit this little treasure if ur in Brixham. Great little cafe. Not touristy and not pretentious. Down to earth good quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. Friendly and down to earth staff. Fantastic location. Dog friendly - they even did doggy sausages!

We had a lovely morning at the beach. The cafe was lovely, a coffee and bacon sandwich after a dip in the calm waters.

5 star gourmet food? Not as such, but a very fair sausage-in-a-bun, and very good coffee, both cups, served with a genuine smile and polite conversation, and all at a reasonable price. The things that stood out for me were the strikingly pretty view across the bay, framed by shrubby, wildlife-filled cliffs an either side of the shack, and the fearless robins come to demand their due. The girl serving mentioned that one Robin will actually hop onto her finger to feed from her palm. You've just got to admire Robins for their shere cheek. Having easily found free parking on the hill above the cabin, the added bonus is the walk back around the bottom of Battery Park along the coast path, watching trawlers and crabbers going about their business, back up to the car. An hour very well spent. Highly recommended.

Lovely spot to sit and enjoy a brilliant coffee & an epic chocolate brownie. They are open Mondays during the school holidays so getting to enjoy it eas a bonus. The staff were lush, so helpful and even offered us a brolly as it was raining!

Great little cafe by Fishcombe Cove. Fantastic view from the outside seating area. Coffee, smoothies and ice cream were great. Staff very friendly. There are public toilets available maintained by volunteers. Coastal path from Brixham is fabulous.

After checking the menu online and seeing how beautiful the location 6 of us driving 2 cars from chudleigh visited today looking forward to Brixham crab sandwiches as advertised and to sit over looking the sea. Drive parents down as their both older and struggle to walk we pulled a few tables together and went to order only to be asked to move a car displaying a disabled badge which I had no issue with but quickly checking menu to order we were told they haven’t done crab for a longtime. We decided to drive into brixham after being disappointed with menu. Such a shame as been planning a visit for a longtime. Take the crab sandwiches off your menu

We really like Costa and like it even more when the staff listen to you and actually do as requested. We like our Latte extra hot and that's what they did. Polite staff with prompt service. The store was clean. I used the last of my Costa gift voucher and also found out that they are perfect as a hotel lights and power card. We also noted that this was a main Costa and happily lets you include all the family when you go for a brew.

Beware the toastie deal. We went for the lunch time special offer toastie deal and we notice afterwards we had been charged £17 pounds !!! When we went back to query price we were told the deal only applies to one toastie. We specifically asked the server for the deal and he told us to choose our own without explaining it only applied to one. There was only one working toilet and that was dirty.

The Brixham Costa - and my favourite place for coffee in Brixham. On the high street, within 200 yards of the harbour. Really friendly staff, a few tables outside, plenty of room inside. Brixham is such a great place, especially in the summer.

The coffee was like any other Costa. And the caramel millionaire shortbread was as if from a bakery. Standard really. What stood out though was the service. I had a conversation with the staff and they didn't seem to hurry me along. Snd I had a lovely chst with a husband and wife about their dog whilst sat out in the sun. Really lovely morning.

Kids at the front door blocking the entrance and the server is completely focussed on them rather than the customer who wants to place an order. Seems a bit untidy inside and could do with better organisation of the tables. Coffee is good as always at Costa but ambience and atmosphere is not reflective of other better Costas.

4.5 - Cafe and florists with very cool vibes!!! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable - they gave me some very helpful advice on my suffering house plant. Some very lovely plants for sale. They have a good selection of cakes (I think less than usual due to time of day we visited) and they offer a Swiss water decaf coffee. I saw staff kindly helping someone who needed it navigate to their seat. They only lose a star due to hardly having any vegan options on the menu, when there are lots of plant and coffee loving vegans out there! The vegan cheese scones weren’t available so I could only have a cake (£4) which was very sweet. Great menu for vegetarians though - some of the foods sounded so good.

Review of cafe: excellent organic coffee and very warm and welcoming service. Choc and cinnamon cake was bland and below-par. Served hot but it was very, very hot, enough to burn the mouth, and possibly destroyed the cake's flavour. Seating is not very comfortable. Service was quite slow, waited about 10 minutes. Price was much too high (£4) for the cake slice. I would not return.

Absolutely fantastic service. Ordered birthday flowers and eats for my partner’s mother and everything was so carefully and beautifully presented. The savoury tart was I’m told very tasty as were the biscuits and cake. Amazing. Highly recommended.

We stumbled into this place by sheer good luck. Thought it was a florist until we came back for a second look. Delicious, organic, freshly prepared food. What's more they know how to brew loose leaf gunpowder green tea. I don't usually like gunpowder but this was good. To cap it all, blues played on an old turntable. This is how cafes should be.

Absolute gem! Had brunch, soup was amazing, also eggs and toast, enjoyed very much. Lovely owners, so friendly, relaxed, soothing atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, recommend 100%

Ordered takeaway, it did take nearly an hour to be delivered but it did state this time frame when ordering, so satisfied with that. Ordered a meal deal which was good value for money. Simple topping on pizza but sauce was really tasty and lovely thin crisp base, which tasted just as good cold the next day

My partner and I were visiting Devon from Swansea over the weekend and stumbled upon Mambos. It was so quiet in there on a Saturday night, so initially I was skeptical but thought we’d give it a go. We ordered a margarita with mushrooms and a spicy sausage pizza, they were absolutely phenominal! Fresh, lovely crust and tasty! So much so we went back the next night! The young man who served us was so friendly and welcoming! Would highly recommend this place, we’ll certainly be visiting again! (Ham and mushroom pizza and bbq chicken pizza below)

I had a cappuccino and a vegetarian pizza. Both were very good. The pizza was thin and crispy just how I like it, with really delicious spicy tomato sauce and just the right amount of mozzarella. Could have done with more veg toppings but otherwise really good. Coffee good too. Very good service, friendly and also very warm and welcoming to me as an obviously LGBT person.

BEST PIZZA PLACE! This place does amazing pizza's and also super delicious hot chocolates. The cakes are superb and sell fast The staff is super friendly to talk to and always have a smile on their face. Do visit!

The service broke a pizza my Heart. Dough'nt expect a good time. Didn't order a side salad of grumpiness. Really unwelcoming and very awkward, Made us feel like we'd never been at a restaurant before!😂 The deals on the menu aren't clear and then don't actually really work out cheaper and don't specify what is included. I requested tap water without lemon as it was on the bar due to intolerance to citrus and the lady seemed really annoyed. When pizza came no sauce or cutlery was offered so I had to wait for ages at the counter. No highchairs Then multiple groups of people came in and chose what they wanted whilst the woman stood at the counter but she waited until they came up to order to tell them that they were closed? Leaving very disappointed potential customers who she had stood and watched look at the menu and decide what they wanted? Made no sense but we didn't feel like we could tell them that we'd heard they were closing as she was stood there, plus it was only 8:30 at night and the night before pirate festival? Generally very awkward vibe and felt like we were annoying by existing 😂😂

Such a lovely shop! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. They always have a smile on their faces and go out of their way to be helpful. Previously I have asked if they could stock particular items that I would like to buy and within a week they are always in the shop. All items sold are very good quality and are delicious. I can’t recommend this shop more highly - I love shopping there ☺️

Went in to an open doors shop today approx 4pm to try to buy some eggs. Woman behind counter looked up and rolled and eyes and huffed, so I asked " oh sorry are you closing". She replied rudely "yes" , with no sorry or what was it you wanted or try again tomorrow. Rude attitude, rude response, rude lady. We walked back out saying " oh I'm sorry, I won't come in and bother you ever again". Last time we came we went into get some things she was rude. Thanks but no, never again. No excuse for bad manners. Shame on a small business. Lost our custom.
