Nestled in the heart of town, The Old Tea House is a charming and family-operated cafe that offers an array of delectable dishes for breakfast and lunch. Their menu features local favorites such as toasties, quiche, salads, soups, sandwiches, cakes, and Cornish cream teas. Additionally, they provide options for vegans as well as those with gluten and dairy restrictions.
We had lunch at The Old Tea House and were very impressed with the food and drink. My son ordered Victoria Sponge and a chocolate milkshake. He loved both! We tried his cake, and it was perfect, expertly made. I ordered a pot of tea and a jacket potato with prawns and Marie rose sauce. Again, everything was perfectly made, fresh, and full of flavour. My wife ordered the soup of the day, and this came with two generous slices of bread. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the place was very clean throughout. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely return for food and drink in the future!

A beautiful little tea room which uses China cups & saucers to serve their drinks. The scone came warm & pulled apart without a knife. The jam was delicious too. Plenty of cakes to choose from & you get a good size piece too. Very friendly staff & great atmosphere also.
Kath M — Google review
What a lovely tea room. We visited during our recent holiday. We enjoyed it so much we returned again later in the week. The staff even remembered us on the second visit and were very welcoming. I had the crab sandwich one day which was very tasty while the others had the cream tea. I opted for the avocado and poached eggs for breakfast the other time while my daughter has the sausage sandwich. Fantastic food. Great selection of drinks. Peach iced tea was so refreshing and the milkshakes were incredible. Wonderful little place!
Russ F — Google review
Found this gem of a tea shop (which is on a side road) after seeing an advertising board on the main thoroughfare through Wadebridge. So glad we found it because the cream teas and the milkshakes we had were absolutely delicious. The scones were warm and really light. Loads of jam and, more importantly, clotted cream. The strawberry milkshake and the Oreo milkshake were extremely tasty. Without doubt, definitely towards the top of our most favourite cream teas (and milkshakes) ever....and we've had far too many over the years. Lovely decor, comfortable seating, outside tables too. Would highly recommend.

What an absolute gem! Saw the reviews and had to come! Definitely the best scone around! Lovely proper Cornish Jam and such a delicate scone...we almost missed out on this as the specials sounded delightful! If we hadn't filled up on pasties, we definitely would have had something here! Friendly staff and such a charming premises. A very cozy and relaxed atmosphere, with easy listening music playing softly in the background. Other reviews say it is expensive; but, you do definitely get what you pay for! Don't miss this! Take the time out of your day and pop in!!!
Pete — Google review
This tiny tea room is located just off the main market road. It actually has quite a good menu for such a small place. I had the cream tea for one, which consisted of a delicious fruit scone (they also have plain ones) with cream and jam. Delicious and very good value.
Tia S — Google review
Gorgeous friendly little tea shop with fantastic cakes and scones - options for vegan / GF too! Very relaxed and friendly staff, come back every trip 🍰🫖☕️
Elysia S — Google review
Wonderful little tea house. Staff provided a wonderful service - friendly and extremely attentive. We had a cream tea without the tea and the scones were heavenly! Very soft and will melt in your mouth. Tried many scones in ‘high-end’ central London hotels and these have been the best yet! A must try if you are in the area.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best coffee shop in wadebridge, the lady who served me was so lovely and we had super choices for drinks, I had a mince pie lattee which to my delight was delicious! Can't wait to return here
Andrew W — Google review
My husband and I live nearby and shop in Wadebridge every weekend. At least twice a month we go out for breakfast and try to go somewhere different to support the local businesses. Today (a Saturday at 11:30) it was Mad Hatters. I had wanted to try this place for a while, and when it came it's time, it was closed due to the previous owners illness. When I heard it was being revived by a gentleman named Harry, it was new destination. Wanting to help support a new business owner, we chose breakfast there today. It was a great choice! Harry is super friendly, attentive, even while very busy. He made sure we didn't feel neglected. He explained breakfast was going to be a bit of a wait...it didn't feel that long. I enjoyed my vanilla latte while we waited. My husband had the large Cornish, minus tomatoes and mushrooms. He said it was lovely (not pictured is toast as I took the photo before it arrived). I had a bacon bap with my choice of hashbrown and cheese on mine...I'm quirky, but Harry didn't bat an eye when I ordered it. It was super good and fulfilled my need for bacon, cheese and hashbrown. I love that Harry swooped in and saved someone's dream and made it his. We will definitely be back for lunch and then for drinks.
Donna C — Google review
Very nice staff and great service. The drinks were very good and very reasonably priced.

This place is cafe Gold Star all the way. Very very good food ( the breakfast roll is just too tasty) lovely, airy, relaxing atmosphere. Great value for money (filled up the teapot too)

Had a lovely lunch at Mad Hatters. We had a very warm welcome and a fabulous lunch. The Cornish rarebit and mackerel pate are amazing. All the food is homemade and delicious. That’s why we keep going back.

Strong Adolfos Cafe is a popular roadside cafe located on the A39 en route to Wadebridge, making it a convenient stop for those heading to the Camel Trail or Padstow. The cafe offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and is known for its excellent coffee and generous portions of food. It's dog-friendly, has ample parking, and provides vegan and vegetarian options. The cafe takes pride in serving specialty coffee from ORIGIN roasters and ensures high-quality food.
Had an amazing experience at Strong Café Adolfo’s! I tried the Mexicano Brochie Burger—absolutely delicious, packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with great vibes all around. What really stood out was the lovely people—super friendly and welcoming. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy good food. Highly recommend!

We were on the way to Padstow for the day and were looking for a quick coffee. We stumbled across this cafe not knowing it was very busy. We were able go order two coffees for takeaway easily (even though it was quite busy) and they were amazing. The guy who served us was also really nice and even offered us suggestion for our day out. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re passing through.

Just popped in for a coffee and was so impressed with the menu that I couldn’t resist trying the Mexicana brioche – absolutely delicious! The coffee was the best I’ve had in a long time, smooth and full of flavour. Next time I’ll definitely be visiting after lunch so I can try one of the burgers – they looked incredible. Can’t wait to come back!

Loved the passion fruit pancakes and ice cream for breakfast. Personally I found sitting outside best as it's a really buzzy atmosphere
Amy M — Google review
We had a good experience. We went for breakfast and had their "Full English". It was a good breakfast, not fantastic. Portion size is about average, 2 small bacon, 1 fairly plain sausage, a nicely poached egg, baked beans (slightly stewed - had obviously been on the heat for some time), a very nice grilled portabello mushroom, a nice large fresh grilled tomato and buttered sourdough toast. It was good without being outstanding. It was very busy (a good sign) but it did make service a tad slow (but by no means excessively slow). It was quite noisy but still possible to talk. Teas and coffees were good. It is a little on the pricey side at £17 for a medium sized full breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Docked one star due to balance of cost and size/quality of the breakfast. Would we go again? Yes!

Leaving a review to give a huge shout out to Wilbur. He was our server today and was super friendly, professional and polite. Nothing was too much bother for him. The cafe was very busy, noise levels pretty loud however he was focused and on task. The service he provided stood out to be wonderful on a windy and wet Cornwall day. 🌧☂☔️ Good job Wilbur, hopefully your management team will celebrate you as deserved 💪🏼 - Yorkshire couple x P.s - Well done on serving Yorkshire Tea. During a recent holiday visit, I decided to revisit Tim's Place. Initially, I was concerned when I found their previous location empty, but following the signs led me to their new spot. The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor dining options. Outside, they provide the usual tables and chairs as well as the unique choice of deckchairs. The menu boasts a wide variety of tasty dishes from which I selected the Cornish breakfast.
Got the salad pot and it was delish 🤑🥗 plenty of vegetarian choices and they also sell good pickle crisps. Outside seating was lovely too

Tucked away with sheltered out door tables. Inside a mix of tables and sofas. Food all day and great coffee. Very friendly and made a fuss of Oz (dog) Will be coming aging when we are next in Wadebridge.

Wonderful food and great service. Some more vegetarian options in the menu would be useful, but they were very accommodating to swap out the ham and scotch egg for meat free options!

Lovely cafe in its own courtyard away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. We popped in for coffee and cake and has a very enjoyable and relaxing visit. We'll definitely be back and we can't believe we haven't been here before!

A superb place to eat within an atmospheric courtyard. A good selection of meals, snacks and drinks. Today we had sandwiches - fresh, full and very tasty. Excellent service and overall, a relaxed value for money venue. Highly recommended.

The eggs were the tastiest best cooked eggs I've had in a long time. There was a good choice of vegetarian food on the menu. My friends had cakes which were delicious too. I had a flat white also which was just the right strength.

Lovely place. We stopped on bikes during the camel trail, had a homemade cream tea - huge, warm scones made by Tim's dad. Cannot fault the place or service. Would highly recommend

Relish Food & Drink is a charming spot in Wadebridge that offers a delightful dining experience. Visitors have praised the high standard of food and service, making it an ideal choice for a satisfying lunch. The welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect for families with children and even dogs. The menu features delectable options like the renowned three-cheese toastie and fresh salads with locally sourced ingredients.
When I visited with friends during October half-term, we were impressed with the standard of food and service. Its a pity lunch service stops at 14.00, but luckily we were just in time. 😋 On a wet day, with dogs and children we were made to feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, great quality and generous portions. It was clear that everyone was committed to high service and interested in providing something above and beyond standard expectation. Well done!
Cornish T — Google review
Nice location, good coffee. When I asked for sweetener I was advised "no, we debated which one was best, for a while, and we couldn't decide, so we didn't bother". Strange response in light of a known demand. Ps. Your response is pathetic (and I notice you only comment, defensively, to anyone who has any negative feedback). If demand was "non existent" then no need for a debate. Think you need a hard look at your attitude to service as it's your business that will suffer, rightly so.
Kris H — Google review
Haven't been for a while, good service, very disappointed with salad, practically had a whole lettuce which i couldn't eat all of, for 7.00 i had red and yellow pepper, tomato, ham, seeds, dressing, an abundance of lettuce What happened to any other veg even the basics like onion and cuc, lettuce too much. Great little shop next door where coffee is roasted
Jennifer T — Google review
The brownie was disappointing and coffee is less nice than exspected. Quite expensive for what it is.

Own coffee roasting !!! Deli and café. Clean! Good homemade food. Very friendly staff. Best coffee in the area without a doubt! Something always going on. (Often hosts Local enterprise such as artisan bread, cheese makers, knife sharpening service etc)

Lovely coffee served by friendly staff in a beautiful establishment clean tidy well presented. The food is lovely as are the homemade cakes and biscuits reasonably price to I would say if you like coffee this is the place in Wadebridge the have easy access an a nice clean easy access toilet to worth a visit
Dave M — Google review
Cosy cafe on one side. Unfortunately our hot chocolate was not so hot; but it was quickly replaced. Deli on the other side has interesting, but not inexpensive treats. Our server here seemed more interested in chatting to a friend than serving us; a pity as the treats we did end up buying were very good.
Paul S — Google review
11/07/17, recommended to see you but you stopped any food but cakes at 3??? And then we had to wait 35 mins for coffee? Needs mega improvements, i wouldn't bother going again. The reason for my review is as stated we then had no trouble going to Tim’s opposite, great hot chocolate and it was actually worth the wait. Maybe you should employ staff for after 3? An honest suggestion. Perhaps your food is very good but I wouldn’t know :)

My husband and I visited Carraways Cafe during our outing and were impressed with the delicious cappuccinos offered. They had a unique blend of caramel and vanilla flavors, eliminating any need for additional sugar. We both enjoyed different types of toasties - my husband had ham and cheese while I had bacon, brie, and cranberry. The bacon on my toastie was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying side salad provided a refreshing touch.
What a lovely quiet and yet vibrant location. Set back off the high street, in a quiet courtyard of premises, run by a very friendly CANADIAN (he's NOT, American, Welsh or Australian) and a hard working team of staff, all willing and smiling. The outside has a number of patio tables with some foliage surrounding (dog friendly) with an interior (dog free zone) of compact tidy tables (about 20 covers max). Coffee making as an art. Speed and accuracy. Lovely flavour. Food priced in mid range and was served quickly, clearly made to order. The salad that accompanied the sandwiches included orange and apple and nectarine. A real treat. Today's soup (tomatoes and sweet potatoes) came hot, generous and with butter and baguette. Nicely decorated, light and airy, upbeat jaunty jazz in the background. Toilet passes the usability test. All in all when next in Wadebridge, we will be back.

Hubby and I were out and about and stopped at Carraways Cafe. The cappuccino was lovely (had it with caramel & vanilla mixed flavours...no need for sugar) . Hubby had ham & cheese toastie and mine was bacon, brie & cranberry . They were perfect! The bacon on mine was cooked to perfection. The salad on the side was refreshing. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Excellent pricing for the quality and portions. Such a nice experience, I'm taking my mother in law and daughter there next week.

Nice coffee, nice food so far, the breakfast is about £1.50 over priced but ok. Beans were cooked properly, Sausages weren't too pink and eggs were free range so yes it was ok. Lavazza perculator today, it wasn't very exciting and the music was way too loud.

The Wood and Green Cafe, located in Wadebridge, Cornwall, is renowned for its hand-crimped Cornish pasties and delicious baked goods. This charming cafe offers a variety of delectable treats that can be enjoyed on-site or conveniently delivered by post. With an affordable price range, it is among the best places to dine in Wadebridge.
Just stopped for breakfast, as you can see i had the full Cornish breakfast, i love a breaky and have to say that this was possibly one of the best breakfasts i have had out, every element on the plate was full of flavour and tasted fantastic, cooked perfectly, service was good and the lady serving me couldn't do enough. Cracking food will be back.

Really delicious Dragon fruit latte and I liked my Chai Latte creamy and hot after riding a bike in the camel trail. Both drinks were served without spoons or sugar which was disappointing. Very cosy place and nice music.
Francesca C — Google review
Arrived for the first day of our holidays to Cornwall after a long drive, asked a friendly local where we could get a breakfast, he pointed us to this place at the foot of the camel trail, a cycle and walking path. opening time on the window stated it was open at 9, we were told we couldn't order food until 0930, so we ordered coffees and bottled water and got a menu, coffee was a little weak for our liking, and water was from a multipack from lidl. Our food order wasn't taken until gone 1000, lucky we weren't in a rush, the staff very polite and welcoming. We all ordered the full cornish breakfast, The eggs were poached perfectly, the field mushroom was a little watery, the bacon and sausage were of good quality and the sourdough toast was adequate but nothing special, the beans were a little dry. . So if you're looking for an average breakfast at an above average price, and dont have somewhere to be, this just might be the place for you.
Alex F — Google review
I really enjoyed my visit here. The staff were very friendly, helpful nd accommodating toy food requirements. The food were presented nicely and very tasty. They cater for all dietary requirements. It's situated very close the Wadebridge Camel Trail entrance. A perfect place to visit for food and drink after a long bike ride ☺️

We popped in here after our walk this morning on the Camel Trail. We asked if our dog Trigger was allowed inside and they could not have been more welcoming to him. The service was good and was the sandwich and fries we shared. I had two latte coffees and both where really good and sting without being too strong. I didn’t have a cake but was sorely tempted as they looked delicious. I did see a Coffee and Walnut slice being served and it was very generous to say the least. Katie ‘the owner’ came out and made a fuss of Trigger and also made him ‘dog of the day’ which was nice. Overall I found this place to be clean, friendly and serviced really good food. We’ll will be returning.
Dave T — Google review
A true hidden gem of the area. The ideal spot to start your day of cycling but with coffee and cake this good (and the staff so delightful and friendly) you'll struggle to leave.
Nico B — Google review
Gorgeous cafe, the french toast is immense! Dog friendly, the owner will come and take your pooch's pic and they could be 'dog of the day' on their socials page! Will definitely be coming back 5*
Lindsey B — Google review
Decidedly average. Greeted with a smile, and friend staff who took our order swiftly. Unfortunately from this point it went downhill. Drinks arrived promptly, but then a 20 minute wait ensued for average (at best) food to arrive. A bacon butty with more bread than bacon, snotty poached eggs on undercooked toast with an avocado clearly passed its best. I genuinely couldn’t see what took so long. Maybe I’m just grumpy, or maybe they need to up their game in an ever more challenging hospitality market. I’d hate to see what it’s like at the peak of summer.

He had the large breakfast (without tomatoes) and I had a bacon bap with added hashbrown and melted cheese. The bacon was cooked to perfection and not fatty or undercooked. The sandwich was amazing and my husband said his breakfast was lovely. The staff were brilliant. It's a cozy and welcoming little café. One that regulars hang out at. This will be our new go to spot when we're in Wadebridge.

Dog friendly cafe recommended by Groovy Shop staff who enjoys the full breakfast there. Freshly prepared food which came quickly. Friendly staff. Good price. Cheese scone was fabulous! Vege sausage bap could have done with 3 sausages as they were skinny ones, so bread to sausage ratio wasn’t great.

So... I wandered into this sweet little cafe in the heart of Wadebridge, an American having never had scones, jam and clotted cream or an English Breakfast (vegetarian). The scone I had the fist time I was in was made fresh that morning. Deliciousness. The atmosphere, decor, friendliness and ambience all so comforting. Now to the staff and local color... Please forgive any name misspellings... Tom, owner of Dollies, was exceptionally kind and patient with wide eyed, novice me. Gemma was so helpful in ways I cannot even express. Local color regular at Dollies, Brian, walked me through town to help me find another shop and familiarize myself with sweet Wadebridge. The food was delicious. Coffee hit the spot right when I needed it. Their kindness, second to none and so much appreciated. 10/10 would recommend if you are anywhere near Wadebridge.

Enjoyed a pot of tea, after a day of cycling along the Camel Trail from Wenford Bridge. There was a festival going on in the street.

The Clementine Cakery in Wadebridge is a must-visit for its sensational cakes and excellent coffee. Customers have raved about the bespoke cakes, praising their beauty and deliciousness. The customer service is top-notch, making it a delightful experience overall. Located near the camel trail cycle hire shops, this cakery offers friendly service and sweet treats that are perfect for any celebration or simply indulging in some delicious cupcakes with a variety of flavors to choose from.
Wow... so glad we checked Google and found this fantastic shop! We picked a few different cakes to try and were impressed by each one. Our favourites were a Pistachio and white chocolate cookie and the Lotus millionaire shortbread. In hindsight we'd have picked more of the "cakey" options as the Pistachio cake was so light and perfect with a cup of tea/coffee. We aren't local but we will hopefully get back here one day!

I was finally able to try this gem of a spot this week and I can't wait to go back as soon as. Attentive service, absolutely stunning drinks and food! Can't recommend enough.

What a fabulous little spot! We stumbled upon this place as a stop doing the Camel Trail and what a gem. The service from the 2 women who run it was super friendly, relaxed and welcoming. The whole aesthetic and vibe of the place is spot on and the coffee is great (coming from NZ that says a lot!). The cupcakes flavours have been really thought through, well balanced and a light airy delicious buttercream. What a fantastic place, i can see why theyve stuck around for the past 5 years!

We visit the Clementine Cakery whenever we go to Wadebridge as Charlotte’s cakes are sensational & the coffee is excellent too. We recently took the opportunity to order a bespoke cake for my Mum’s 80’s birthday and the result was not only beautiful but was just so delicious too and the lightest cake I have ever had. The customer service was first rate too. I wish Charlotte every success with the Clementine Cakery & thoroughly recommend everything that she does.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Clementine Wadebridge – The Caffeine Queens of Cornwall! Step aside, soggy service stations and average high street coffee chains – Clementine in Wadebridge is here to raise the bar (and the heart rate, thanks to their killer lattes ☕️). Run by two of the cheeriest humans in Cornwall, these girls greet you like you’re an old friend—even if it’s your first time in. Smiles, chat, and sass served as standard. Honestly, if happiness had a sound, it would be the bell above their door. Now let’s talk coffee. Not just any coffee – oh no – they brew with Roasting Room coffee, which basically makes them latte royalty. It’s rich, smooth, and so good you’ll question every cup you’ve ever had before. One sip and you’ll be planning your next visit before the froth’s even settled. And the cakes and food? Freshly made, properly delicious, and dangerously moreish. Whether it’s a flaky pastry, a chunky slice of homemade cake, or something savoury that actually tastes like real food, it’s all whipped up with love and serious skill. TL;DR: ✔️ Best lattes in the county ✔️ Service with sparkle ✔️ Cakes that make your nan’s baking look average (sorry, Nan) ✔️ A must-visit spot in Wadebridge Get there early, stay as long as socially acceptable, and prepare to become a regular. #ClementineWadebridge #CoffeeGoals #RoastingRoomMagic #LatteLegends #CakeOfDreams #SupportLocal #CheerfulCoffeeCrew #WadebridgeWonders

Ordered a semi naked cake for my mother's 80th with quite short notice. We are not local so asked for recommendations on the Wadebridge Facebook page. Cake was amazing in looks and taste. Would definitely recommend 👌

Let’s start with the amazing welcome from the 2 young girls awesome, then you have the most amazing brand of coffee being served “the roasting room” absolutely delicious don’t go anywhere else but here

The Cornish Coffee Bean in Newquay is a must-visit for those looking for gluten-free options and a warm welcome. The owners, Jason and Ros, are known for their accommodating and efficient service in their cozy coffee shop. Visitors rave about the freshly prepared food, including breakfasts, light lunches, snacks, and home-baked cakes at reasonable prices. Customers appreciate the friendly staff who go above and beyond to provide great recommendations for local attractions.
Ros and Jason are amazing owners, so cheerful and friendly , even remember my favourite food and drink. Delicious food and great coffee

Very friendly staff and always smiling, they always remember my order. Coffee is cheap compared to other places. The coffee is very good.

I arrived at Newquay too early after 8-hour journey on the overnight coach. The weather was chilly and windy so I was looking for any place that’d open early in the morning and this cozy place literally saved my life 😂 The owner was very friendly and the flat white was great. I saw a lot of locals drop by for a quick morning coffee. A lovely cozy local place :)

Great food for cheap, Staff always friendly and funny, definitely come again and again because of the great prices

We stayed overnight in Newquay, and were trying to find a restaurant that had gluten free meals. The Cornish Coffee Bean took care of us! Our niece said her gluten free breakfast was "phenomenal!". The guy serving us (owner maybe?) was talking to us about our travels through the UK, and when we told him where we were going to be staying that evening, he told us that we would be a very short drive from Stonehenge (missed the summer solstice festivities by a couple days). Thanks to him letting us know, we added that historical location stop for the next day! Thanks for the great food and service!!!!
Matt C — Google review
Above and beyond service. I arrived 15 minutes before the 7am opening time, after a 4 hour drive from Hampshire. I was welcomed in, in spite of the early hour, with a great coffee and a bacon sandwich and was given the best advice as to where to spend the day. 100% recommended.

Firstly, Jason and his wife are really lovely people and very welcoming. I've been geting sandwiches from here for a while now and I highly recommended The Cornish Coffee Bean for a bite to eat. Freshly made, delicious food and very good prices! A Clean and tidy sanwich shop that i will continue to return too. Thankyou Craig from Newquay

Costa Coffee is a delightful counter-service coffee chain that offers an array of hot beverages, refreshing iced coolers, sweet treats, and satisfying sandwiches. During a recent visit to Wadebridge on a quiet Sunday, I was thrilled to find Costa open amidst many closed shops. The atmosphere was relaxed with no queues, allowing me to enjoy a delicious strawberry frappe paired with a biscuit—truly value for money!
One of the best, most cleanest Costa I’ve been to. Lady at 8am works so hard to take everything thrown at her so early. Lovely people. Thank you. The only coffee shop open at 8am.

Lovely place nestled away on the high(?) street of Wadebridge. My drink was strawberry frappe 🍓 and I had a biscuit to go with that. It was delish! Value for money. It is spacious, has charging points for mobile, has clean toilets which are accessible too! Everything I needed in a place while I was waiting for my next bus to Bodmin.

Usual Costa store in the centre of Wadebridge. Enjoyed a couple flat whites each before driving on to Bude to a family event.

When you're out and about and in a town you've not been to before, it's hard to beat a Costa coffee. This one is well placed in Wadebridge, and serves good coffee - what more would you want!
Paul G — Google review
Visited Wadebridge on Sunday, place not very busy but also many shops shut. We were pleased that costa was open. Not many customers no queue. Choose our toasted sandwich (not a big selection) and coffee Found a table. Food ok. Coffee good.
Vincenzo D — Google review
If you get the right staff the service is excellent, however there a couple members of staff that seem lazy and just want to gossip so you have to wait. The coffee is consistent. I do prefer the taste of Starbucks but it is one of the better coffees in wadebridge. I did complain one day and they did replace though. Shame a couple lazy members of staff drag down all the good ones. Update 06/07/24 Went in today. Waited for ages to be served. No one even bothered to acknowledge me. Manageress was too busy talking to some one on her phone. Been in three times since my original review and similar service each time. Very slow service every time. The staff come across as if you are a burden. Star rating reduced to 1. Doubt I will go again. Costa should take a leaf out of others. At least acknowledge customers. After all the service industry is complaining it's struggling. No wonder when you can't get a coffee from a coffee shop in a timely manor.!! Wasn't that they were busy
A W — Google review
Just like your normal Costa, it has lots of seating inside and around 4 tables outside, the prices are just like all the rest but the staff are friendly and happy! Which is helpful!

Bought 2 caramel ice cream milkshakes priced at £6.50 each. Received a plastic container with a straw and quantity of milk and basically nothing else all they did was to add the ice cream to some milk spin it for a couple of minutes and that was it. It was milk and nothing more I’ll give them that but as milkshakes go got to be the worst you can buy flavoured milk for about a quid they charged £6.50 and it was rubbish avoid the milkshakes.
Stephen L — Google review
Just needed a coffee & snack. Coffee at £3.50 was okay, but a sticky toffee slice barely 12 cubic centimeters = £4.50! And, unbelievably, a dry plain scone, with margarine (not butter) £4.50! Appalling ripoff tourist prices. Convenient location for Camel Trail, was worth the extra star.
Philip N — Google review
Really, really disgusting food. The bread roll in our vegan bap was stale (completely hard and bone dry), the burrito/wraps are all sold cold straight out of a fridge with no option for them to be hearted or toasted so it had basically turned to mush, not fresh on the day at all, and the jacket potato was a sad excuse for a meal. Staff members seemed oblivious to the quality of food they were providing They also had no idea how to issue a refund via the card I had paid on so had to be done in cash which isn’t a problem but the whole set up seems absolutely useless and on the verge of being shut down Will never be returning here and advise others to go and enjoy the other lovely businesses in and around Wadebridge instead
Grace C — Google review
Really sad to have to put this review. We're locals and come here all the time. A little while back 1 of the ladies that worked here realised we were regulars and offered us a locals card which offered us discount. Hubby showed the lady his driving license to prove we were locals and that was that. Used it every time we came. Today we showed the card and a different lady who was working said that his name wasn't on the card so she had to refuse discount and take the card from us. We explained that it was given to us by a member of staff and she said 'I VERY MUCH DOUBT THAT!' She highlighted there was a policy they followed, which we wouldn't know about because we dont work there, and basically implied we were lying. Made us feel really rubbish. Maybe this other staff member was new or just forgot to follow the policy but no we were lying. That's not how you speak to customers. Im not sure we will go back. Its all about service and being part of a community and that all went today. 17/09/25 10.30am

5 stars, always is. Great views, great coffee, crepes, etc and happy people serving. It sits about halfway between Padstow and Wadebridge on the Camel Trail which is around five miles point to point. Ideal for a gentle walk or, you can hire cycles at either end to speed things up... but why would you want to do that, well possibly so you have more time to spend at the cafe of course. No fees, bribes or free lunches were received for writing this review, just great service!

Nestled in the heart of the UK, Little Cocoa is a charming café that has quickly become a beloved spot for families and coffee lovers alike. With its intimate atmosphere, it’s perfect for special occasions like birthday parties—just ask the delighted parent who celebrated their daughter's second birthday there! The owners, Laura and Chris, are incredibly accommodating and go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome.
Fab little play cafe - even better now it's bigger! We bring out little one all the time. So happy with the yummy dairy free options too!

absolutely wonderful place, so pretty inside and a lovely chatty lady that ran it made us feel super comfortable, great food and drinks and really helpful with the children

Just when you thought it couldn't get better! Little Cocoa has grown. More space, more toys and still such a good vibe. Definitely the best coffee in town, tasty toasties and cakes, and now delicious soup. If you have a little one to entertain, there is nowhere else like it. Fuel up for the day while, for a small charge, your child can play with wonderful toys to their heart's content.

Little Cocoa is such a gem of a place. My daughter and I love visiting. They have the best homemade cakes (honestly out of the world), really good coffee, and a great selection of toys for kids.

We found this place on holiday on a particularly rainy, grey day. It was the perfect place to hide from the rain. The three year old and even the ten year old, were very happy playing with all the lovely toys while we enjoyed a coffee. I wish we had a place like this; I would be there a lot!

I have been to little cocoa only the once but absolutely fell in love with the concept and how intimate the space felt. I quickly booked the venue for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party and wasn’t disappointed. Both Laura and Chris are extremely accommodating and I felt they couldn’t do more for us if they tried. Such a beautiful space for any occasion, can’t wait for our next play session! Thankyou both so much :)
