As the name suggests, it is a really nice place with a good view on the square. The cocktails were really nice made (with some dry ice effects also) and the food (nachos with minced meat) also tasted really nice. The service was really friendly. However (not sure who is responsible for that) the orders were taking too long. Initially our food took more than half an hour, and then we got informed that they got initially burned and remade again and they apologised for it. Later though, we ordered 2 more bottles beers which also weren’t arrived after half an hour (which technically have no preparation needed at all). We ended up cancelling those as it took way too long. I only remove one star for this as of the rest it was a really nice atmosphere and beside the delays I really enjoyed it.

One of the best place to have a drink or a cocktail in Zakynthos Town. Prices are a little bit higher, but the drinks are so good to see and drink. Highly recommended if you want to pass a different evening with some music. The rooftop just amazing!

The location and ambiance at Base Cafe are undoubtedly appealing—modern, relaxed, and well-suited for a sunny afternoon stop. I ordered the Mocha Pleasure smoothie from the menu, clearly marked with a “• 5”, which I reasonably assumed to be the price (5€). However, I was charged 8€, which left a sour aftertaste despite the smoothie itself being rich, smooth, and absolutely delicious. My companions ordered Mythos beers, priced at 6€, which seemed steep compared to local averages. While the drinks were well-prepared and enjoyable, the unclear pricing felt misleading, especially for a menu that otherwise appeared straightforward. Overall, this place has strong potential with its quality offerings and attractive setting, but clarity and consistency in pricing would go a long way toward building trust and ensuring a better customer experience.

Great atmosphere, great place to be and very nice people around. The staff really respectful and the service was awesome! The waitress Anastasia took our order and made our day with her smile!

During a hot day exploring Zakinthos town, we found Base Cafe and it did not disappoint. Service was excellent, swift and efficient and the food did not disappoint. I had a Chicken Penne meal accompanied by Parmesan, Broccoli and a delicious creamy cheese sauce! My partner had a Pepperoni pizza which she enjoyed very much so. If I ever return to the island I will come back and cannot recommend this place enough for an early afternoon lunch that is cheap in such a built up area!

We ate lunch and dinner here. Yet had two very different experiences. Lunch was delicious and had very polite and friendly service. Dinner however was just the opposite besides good food. The servers are lost in space more than not with little to no direction. Clearly needs an overall manager. Our server seemed almost bothered by having to do her job. Which she stinks at anyways. The two hostesses were night and day. The one with the tight perm like hair has a poor attitude and was more about socializing. On the other hand the one with straight long black hair was constantly panning the restaurant and customers. She is the diamond in the rough at this restaurant that is managed like a kiosk.

We went here for coffee and shared a waffle between the two of us. We ordered a waffle with strawberries, caramel sauce, whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. The portion was excellent and there was enough to satisfy both of us, who were hungry for a small snack. The service was fast and friendly and we were warmly welcomed when we arrived. I definitely recommend trying the waffles here! You can customize the waffle portions to your liking and the price depends on the number of toppings. The portion we ordered with toppings cost around €10.

Got a couple of drinks here in the morning. Great staff, even helped us with a few tips for our stay in Argassi. Good prices, tasty drinks, comfy seats, but unfortunately no AC or fans, at least in the morning.

Pizzas are different different levels and by far the best on the island everyone should try once even if in Greece !

We enjoyed breakfast and coffee here. The staff and service were wonderful. The coffee was delicious! I got the vegan bowl and it was perfect! My husband got pancakes and said it was the best breakfast he’s had! We loved the atmosphere. Everything was priced fairly too. We highly recommend!

By far the most beautiful terrace in the entire Alykes resort. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. High-quality products. The terrace’s design immediately gives you that Boho-style vacation vibe. They even have very friendly cats. I recommend it to any tourist visiting Alykes. P.S.: They also have craft beer.

Absolutely loved this place! We went there everyday, even if it was just for an iced matcha. They have some really nice drinks and snacks. The atmosphere is just so cozy and welcoming. There's oat milk for your coffee and even a vegan breakfast bowl. The people working there are so kind and if you chat with them they will give you some great recommendations for other nice places on the island. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Alex and his family were the best hosts for the cooking class! We made a variety of dishes that were hands on and very engaging! In between dishes, we heard stories about the island and Greece as a whole. We also were able to try a variety of olive oils and cheeses. They were very catering to everyone and by far the best cooking experience my family and I have done! I even left with leftovers LOL. High recommend!!

The highlight of our trip! I recommend this class so strongly. The stories, the food, the overall experience was absolutely stunning. You are constantly tended to, given drinks and anything else needed. Our group was so lovely and we friended many of the attendees. Alex’s’ recommendations were also perfect for our days on the island. While the class is long, it doesn’t feel boring or dragged on. If anything, we all enjoyed so much we wanted to stay longer. Ah yes, and the food was delicious. Our group did not have any food allergies or restrictions but the team was so kind and adaptable if that was needed. 10/10 recommend

Amazing cooking class, so fun. We did many recipes, sometimes working together, sometimes on our own.. heard history stories from our incredible host Alex and then ate an amazing meal we had cooked. It was 14 people total mixed of a few groups. Highly recommend!

A great experience, a really high-quality and educational course. The leader is inspiring and knows his job. The lunch eaten at the end of the course crowned the experience, the best dishes of the trip and made by yourself! Wonderful setting and restaurant!

The pork gyros was tasty and satisfying. However, instead of French fries, I would have preferred traditional Greek potatoes—French fries are available everywhere, after all. The portion of meat could have been a bit more generous. The Greek pizza was a unique touch and quite good. The crust was slightly undercooked, but the toppings and overall flavor were excellent. Service was friendly, and we were even offered a small glass of limoncello after the meal, which was a nice gesture. I would have liked to see more authentic Greek dishes on the menu—after all, we *are* in Greece—but I understand the restaurant has to cater to a broad audience. The only real downside was the doorman, who chain-smoked just outside the entrance, causing cigarette smoke to drift into the restaurant. All in all, it’s a place worth visiting.

Service was really nice and friendly. You can tell people love coming here as I saw the staff greet several customers personally. The grilled shrimp was good. However, my partner said the fried calamari was very chewy. He ended up getting sick the same night from the calamari.

Ambrosia is the best restaurant in kalamaki! The food is amazing, delicious and great quality. The atmosphere is brill, on a dry day they do greek dancing and end with a plate smash - unlike other places there its relaxed, enjoyable to watch and no forcing to join in. It's family run by Emilios and it shows, a true feeling of being one of the family when you go. We ate there several times due to enjoying the company and the food. We can definitely recommend and we will be back for more!

This appears to be a family run restaurant. The food is very good indeed, and we returned twice. Everybody here is so friendly, courteous and speak very good English. You are automatically provided with bread and following your meal you are offered a choice of free drinks. Lovely people. I was the Shamrock bar next door would turn its music down though as it can affect your dining experience.

Wow what a place this is! Great to meet the legend (pioneer) Kevin and his team they really looked after us. The best Cocktails, our favourite was the frozen passion fruit martini and the specially made strawberry daiquiri. The padded sun beds were really comfortable and there was a cold shower available to cool off when required. It was simply perfect!

Absolutely the best place if you want to spend all day on the beach. The staff is really friendly. Excellent food, great service and really pleasant place to stay all day long and relax! The bar is well decorated and beach chairs are always well prepared on a nice and soft white sand.

Visited Buca bar and beach the last two years. Great place to relax. Perfect hospitality from Kev. If you want to know anything for great place to eat. Or places to visit or just the weather just as Kev. St Dennis too was a great fella. All the staff were all jolly. €20 for sunbeds and brolly. Lovely food Greek yoghurt honey nuts and peach tea for a light refreshing breakfast. Unless you have been to Relax around the corner for full English breakfast. Also what's nice for brunch in Buca is a bacon cheese garlic melt with chips and coleslaw. You don't even have to move off your sunbeds. They will serve you on the beach. Perfect. 😎😁👍

Great service and well maintained sunbeds. £20 for two sunbeds and the umbrella. Cash is easier as the card machines sometimes don't work on the beach and saves you a trip inside. Coffees and ice cream are lovely and my family inform me that the food is also excellent.

I rarely give bad reviews but this was such a waste of money. Maybe zakynthos is just bad for food overall, but this sucked so bad. The service was awful aswell very rude and uneducated in terms of customer service. Hated this place. Sorry. The view was great and so was the hike. Greasy food and everything was tasteless. And pretty damn expensive too. Rubbish place. Do not go there.

This place has great views and that’s about it. We ordered the gyros and schnitzel and both were burnt, and very dry, even the pita. The food also took ages to arrive, it’s possible they forgot about our order It’s also quite over priced compared to other restaurants in the area- wish we had checked the reviews before we sat through the wind and had a poor meal! We paid around €45 -€50 for the two meals

Charging €8.50 for a 50cl Alfa beer is essentially asking your customers to visit once and never return. Tourists are not foolish — we understand the value of money. A scenic location doesn’t make the beer taste any better. It’s the same Alfa I can get elsewhere for €5.50. Be smart: charge a fair price and encourage repeat customers. As it stands, you're only hurting your own business. Edit after the owner's answer. Do you think that lying about it will earn you more customers? Whoever reads this review, will avoid your place. My initial bill said: 8.50 € for 2 drought 50 cl Alfa beers for a total of 17 €. Other than that I ordered a portion of fries for 6 € for a total bill of 23 €. You can lie as much as you want. I cannot tell you how to manage your relationship with your customers but I can say that you are ripping them off and you deserve to have your terrace almost empty.

We ended up here because we wanted to check out the castle. After visiting the castle here we went for a bite to eat. During our stay in Zakynthos it was not yet tourist season so plenty of place space. There is a terrace with a view of Zakynthos town. The staff is nice, pairs reasonably good English and somewhat attentive. We had some water, a fresh orange juice a sandwich and a Greek salad. We paid a total of €26. It was pretty okay food kwa taste. The design is nice and simple. Good umbrellas to sit under. Music was not played during our stay on the terrace. This was also not at all necessary here. All in all, top little place to go and have something to eat if you are around here.

The view from this café is absolutely stunning, with an incredible panorama over Zakynthos—you really can’t beat the location. Unfortunately, the place itself was very disappointing. The seating area and surroundings were dirty, with plastic bottles and garbage scattered around, which completely ruined the atmosphere. It feels neglected and not cared for at all, which is such a shame given how beautiful the setting could be.

We had dinner at this restaurant with a stunning view of Zakynthos, definitely the highlight of the evening. The dishes were tasty, although the tzatziki had a bit too much garlic for our liking. Overall, the food was enjoyable. The service, however, was somewhat lacking: the staff did not speak English very well and didn’t help us with the issue of the wasps. In addition, a child playing with the cats was moving around the tables, which was a little disturbing. All in all, it was a pleasant experience thanks to the location and the food, but with some details that could be improved.

We had dinner at Latas Café & Bistro during our stay in Zakynthos, and the experience was overall positive. The food was good and the panoramic view over the city and the port was simply spectacular – definitely worth it for the view. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was a bit spoiled by the presence of many wasps, which disturbed us during the meal. We asked the waiter if something could be done, but unfortunately no action was taken, also due to the language barrier. In addition, a child in the restaurant was playing with the cats and running between the tables, bothering the guests and disturbing the tranquility of the evening. In summary, the place offers great views and good food, but there are a few aspects that could be better managed

We passed by this place and decided to sit down because it was busy and beautifully located by the water. We ordered pasta and had to wait 30 minutes, which usually is a good sign — long wait often means freshly prepared food and good quality. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. We’ve had pasta at 3–4 other places during our stay, including beachside spots, and this was by far the worst experience. The pasta lacked flavor and felt poorly prepared. A piece of advice: please train your staff to at least check in with guests during or after the meal to ask if everything is okay. It’s such a simple step that allows you to receive honest feedback and improve your service and quality.

When we were on vacation, we visited this restaurant twice and it was amazing! The food and the drinks were fantastic, full of flavour. The servers were great, especially our server, Joanna wich is an excellent girl! The vibe is also great! I truly recommend this restaurant!

Oh, the risotto. Creamy, hot, and perfectly tender - it didn't just melt in my mouth, it dissolved like a slow sigh. Each bite slid across my tongue with the softness of a lover's touch, rich and velvety, leaving behind a lingering warmth that made me close my eyes and breathe deeper. The way the flavors unfolded - subtle at first, then deeper, bolder, almost indecent in their intensity - felt like foreplay on a plate. I found myself slowing down, savoring every spoonful like a secret I didn't want to end. By the last bite, I wasn't sure whether I'd eaten dinner or been seduced. Either way, I left completely satisfied... and just a little breathless.

Ive never had worse food. Let me start by saying that we waited 15 minutes for service and when we finally ordered pancakes and tortilla we were wainting for 40 minutes straight, the tortilla came burnt as hell and wasnt even tasty and the filling in tortila was also really bad. I dont recommend

We went there every day to buy apple pie, it was our favorite. Really delicious. Also we bought good bread. We also tried other products, some better than the others, but the apple pie remains the best.

The coffee were sadly overly acidic(sour) for our taste as if it were under-roasted or under-brewed. I guess mainly also because we‘re used to smooth with only a slight zing coffee in Vienna. But I like the fact that they serve cold drinks in glasses and not in to-go plastic cups. Unlike the usual cafes, you will find more savory snacks here than desserts. Over 90% of the cafes on Zakynthos have the ACs running while leaving the doors and windows wide open, including this one, which is a tragic waste of energy.

If you are looking for specialty coffee in Zakynthos, this is the place! The coffee is delicious, they have a multitude of single origins. The interior is very nice and they also have a few tables outside. The staff was very friendly and we felt very comfortable

If your looking for a professional coffee shop with good machines, trained staff and a selection of single origin beans then I might have found you the perfect place in Zanti. Here I had my best coffee in Zanti so far. They also have a selection of non dairy mils including soy almond and coconut but I only drink Oatly oat milk which Zanti doesn't have yet. One of the best coffee experiences we've had on the trip and in Greece in general. Fresh roasted and proper milk foam with multiple origins to chose from.

If you like proper and good quality coffee. This is pretty much the only place to go on the island as far as I can tell. The owner knows his stuff about the varieties he has on offer and it's well priced.

Very nice café with an excellent breakfast. The selection is large, everything is fresh and prepared with lots of love. The presentation is particularly beautiful - attractively decorated on pretty plates from their own store. The taste of every dish is impressive thanks to the high quality and fresh ingredients, and all at fair prices. The service is friendly and attentive. The outdoor area also invites you to linger, with comfortable seating and shady spots that are pleasant even on warm days. All in all, an all-round harmonious place for a cozy breakfast or a relaxed coffee.

I had a wonderful experience at the Pottery Studio & Cafe in Agios Sostis. The atmosphere is fantastic and the coffee is great. It's a unique place that combines the art of pottery with a cozy cafe. The service is exceptional and the environment is truly relaxing. I highly recommend it!

Super good food and pottery, we loved it! We went for breakfast and had pancakes and they were very good. We came back for a late lunch and had an amazing vegan tortilla and a bread with salmon. We also bought a tortilla to take away. All the food is made by one of the women working there and is fresh and super good.b The pottery is just beautiful, we bought two beautiful green cups for tea and a strand with ceramic pomegranates. There is a beautiful red cat 😺

Very nice place! Highly recommended. I had them create a specialized coffee mug for my girlfriend and I as a surprise for my girlfriend prior to our visit. This was a amazing, and we are very satisfied with the result as well. Furthermore, they are serving a lovely breakfast and lunch.

always the view from above is breathtaking! the majesty of nature, the sea of rocks, standing still admiring each other. i have been there more than once. they make amazing coffee. and a great cheeseburger! is to sit and let the landscape calm you down. the sunset is amazing because it is on the edge of the cliffs, they have built a fence, so that the place is protected it is worth a thousand times

You pay Euro min entrance fee, and with this you buy a lemonade. Unacceptable price mongers. The closed all public paths around the property with wire and barb wire so you can not access the view for free. The state should do something here... The place is a field with some benches to sit and watch the sea. Sunsera was nice but it feels like they invested nothing, and try to profit as if they are a normal cafeteria. Toilets are remote and they looked nasty.

Best place to watch the sunset, and it's actually the most romantic place on the island as written on some guides. You gotta go to the top of the cliff at the end of the road to find it, even if it seems like the road isn't going there. It's necessary to buy a drink to enter and it is worth it. The view on Mizithres itself isn't the best in the area, but that location is the best to spend some time as it got a full panoramic view and plenty of seating area, not mentioning some wild animals around.

Unbelievable!!! You’ve taken over the cliff and are charging an entrance fee to go out — where exactly?? To the cliff?? To enjoy the natural landscape?? By what right have you fenced off the cliff and we can’t explore it freely??? It’s one thing to run a legitimate business at a natural attraction and offer a bench and a soft drink or snack to a visitor, and quite another to forbid a visitor access to the view of the rock and force them to pay for it!!!! And it’s not about the amount! €5 isn’t some outrageous sum! But it is absolutely outrageous to charge admission to nature! Shame on you! I wouldn’t give a single euro to admire the view from the natural environment! Next time I come I won’t leave annoyed — I’ll go in, and bring whoever you want to try to drag me out!

If you just want to sit in silence and enjoy the coastal view sipping a coffee or having a soft drink this is the place, be it at sunset or not. There is a 5 euro entrance but buying a drink/food for that amount also counts. Call it a "simple pleasure" - we loved it.

We left completely disappointed and furious after discovering that a place which was once freely accessible to visitors has suddenly been privatized by an outdoor snack bar that charges €5 per person to access the cliff — and has even put up barbed wire fencing so you can’t get in from anywhere to enjoy the view! I couldn’t believe a permit could be granted for something like this… As if private beaches weren’t enough, now we have private cliffs too! Outrageous!

I have to be honest, the 3 stars are for the service. It was very slow the day we visited. We were lucky enough to find a table. The location is very good and kid friendly. I must admit that the waiter taking the orders was really good and friendly. It took them a lot of time to bring the order and we were 7 so everyone had his drink at a different time. The cocktail smelled better than it tasted. It was quite pricey but it is for the unique location.

Used to be the go-to place for people of all ages back in the good days. Still a great place to visit for people-watching, particularly because of its location which is excellent. In every other aspect however, it has deteriorated. Some servers are enthusiastic and some aren’t at all. The desserts we had were quite okay, nothing special. They have a band that plays live music and that’s really loud, to the point it’s annoying rather than pleasing. Here’s to hoping this historic cafeteria will see better days in the near future.

Great place for coffee and chill. There is indoor and outdoor. Not a place for meals. Pizza was ok. Prawn salad was ok. Octopus can be better, fries that comes with it are way salty.

A wet night out of season in Zakynthos. Greeted by friendly staff and served a good meal. Excellent pasta and Salad, fresh bread and a bottle of local wine. Not a busy night for the place. Reasonably priced, Elegant and charming on Solomos square. I will see it busy and look forward to giving it 5*. Value for money.

Best placement in the central part of Zakynthos town. Excellent for families, because kids have a lot of place to play. But the service is not very good, it is often crowded and the prices are high. Although I don't prefer it, I find myself going there almost everytime that I visit Zakynthos, just for the place and for the convenience my having my small daughter play and be able to watch her. If you visit Zakynthos once, it is work visiting, but not for more.

A place that's taking advantage of its position in the best place in the city of zakynthos to deliver bad service and bad products. From the waiters spilling drinks on us, taking insane amounts of time to deliver, bringing food without utensils and undrinkable concoctions, the things that happened are too many to write..if you can avoid it, do so, its a tourist trap.

Seriously one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Was craving pancakes on the first day in Zakynthos found this gem and came back for it on my last. Delicious! The waiters were also wonderful and the whole atmosphere is a vibe. Definitely recommend!

Circus All Day is a lovely spot we discovered during our vacation! The croissants were absolutely delicious and the Ice Flat White was perfect. We didn’t get a chance to try the breakfasts, but they looked incredible too!

The food was great, large portions, high quality and the servers where all super nice and sweet. The place is clean, fresh and the bathroom too. In the same day we went to have breakfast and lunch too for how good it was!!!

However I can vouche for their character as I left behind a wallet full of cash and then left to travel else where on the island. But they found and took care of my wallet for safe keeping and made sure it was returned to me with everything in tact. In hard times with costs going up there are still good people in this world. We loved it here. We just stayed for drinks, but the prices and service was very good. It was also a nice sun trap in the early afternoon.

A centrally located cafe in the heart of the town center. Friendly host who give advise what to do and where to go in Zakynthos. He even help call several operators to enquire about the boat charter. Quite a good menu of omelette and sandwiches and toast. Price is expected in the town center. You may like to know that there are quite a bit of shopping around.

Dennis and Rula make all thier customers feel very welcome. A nice selection of hit and cold snacks and the usual array of hit and cold drinks available. Good place to sit and people watch on a sunny day!

I have never been to a more beautiful establishment in Greece and every employee I encountered was warm and welcoming including the fabulous owner, Lilly, who helped me find the best pieces for the rest of my trip. Great little cocktail bar, attentive and friendly team serving, I only had one cocktail as we were limited on time, the "Ionian Old Fashioned", it's not an old fashioned as you would expect but their take on it, it was served with a large cube of ice with a piece of nougat balanced on top, excellently presented and very tasty, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Zazú is one of the best cocktail bars we’ve ever been to. I went there with my boyfriend a year ago, and we met the owner, Alex — one of the kindest and most humble people we’ve ever met. Me and the mrs stopped off for coffee and a bit of lunch.. Coffee was fine but the old man behind the bar come across as very rude after to tried to order something from the menu what they didn't have but instead of just saying that it's out of stock or whatever he felt the need to talk to us like we was simple. the food was very poor and over priced for the quality didn't taste fresh or as if it was from a tin. Definitely wouldn't return. The worse place we went.

We came as a 7 man group. Spending a week together on a boat, sailing, eating and sleeping without keeping any distance...all normal when u tested and vaccinated meanwhile explaining to the waiter after we started splitting the second table together...the reaction was terryfing....he became agressive to us, unfriendly and was ignoring us. He only said because of covid situation and police and problems, we can't sit in a group together. So we sat seperated.All other restaurants this was never a problem. The waiter qs serving without a face mask to each client. I found this terryfing unlogical from his behaviour. So pitty...nice place, all looking lovely, but....
