Came for a visit to the sunflower field and had a great time, lots of photo spots! Had lunch in the cafe, food was good although the app was a bit confusing as not everything on the menu was on the app so I had to go inside to order. Farm shop is brilliant and the gelato was absolutely amazing, I’d come back just for an ice cream!

Well my 1st ever visit to Hemsworth in yorkshire was a treat. Wonderful weather scenery and people so friendly. As part of the visit I was taken to farmer copleys.featherstowe near pontefract wf7 5af. well what an experience. The place, the restaurant,the staff,the atmosphere. And the food.we sat near the serving hatch and watched meal after meal as it was served it was impressive and looked amazing. Well I myself ordered the bangers and mash thick gravy and fried onions.wow it was beautiful and I licked the gravy clean mmmmm.my friend had the posh fish finger sandwich wow and the onion rings And the cheese and bacon quiche all big portions and so tasty.. it was amazing and highly recommended.on the dear side but an experience indeed.get in there

We had a very pleasant afternoon having lunch and browsing the farm shops! It’s very well organised and has plenty of parking. It’s dog friendly everywhere including the farm shop which was brilliant! There’s plenty of space for children to let off steam! They’ve currently have PYO sunflowers which you need to book tickets online. Lunch was great and you can order from a QR code at your table!

Came to the Moo Cafe to have a delicious lunch. Enjoyed the meal very much as it was tasty. Farmer Copleys always serve a generous portion size and the food is fresh. I think the prices were decent. Thanks!

Love this place, the farm shop is great with a variety of food and gifts. The restaurant is great and I've always been able to get a table. The dessert cafe serves massive portions, you definitely get your money's worth!

Went for the tulip festival, unfortunately went late when the tulips are dying out but still got to see diff kinds of tulips. Was an spectacular space of colour. Food was good at the Moo cafe and picked up a few things and ice cream from the shop next door.

omg what a place its a hidden gem. came here for the very 1st time and so glad we came. had a walk around the farm shop and samples of there home made produce that was on offer and ofcourse this made us buy the product as it tasted amazing would highly recommend. stumbled across a room called The Hayloft we had a cheeky peek in there and found an amazing set up of softplay being assembled i asked the lady who was setting it up and she told me it was for a private birthday party for a 1 yr old. Didnt relise that you can hire out the venue this is amazing weve now made enquiries for our own 2nd birthday party for our grandaughter at that venue if you need the softplay you need to follow them on instagram the_party_events_company for your bookings they are yorkshire based which is a bonus😁🐃🐴

Small but tasteful venue. Friendly, attentive staff. On this occasion I opted for a Mocha which was beautifully presented with a light, sweet biscuit. I was tempted by the variety of sweet treats on offer but I resisted, maybe next time.

I was welcomed as I went into this stylish café and the young guy serving me made a superb flat white and pointed out that my treat of a blueberry muffin had some nuts in the recipe just in case I had allergy concerns. There was a friendly atmosphere, very clean facilities and I was thanked when I left. Excellent.

Love it in here mainly for the cakes (food is good too) but if i am being honest i am all about the cakes. The standard of baked goods and flavours is better than anywhere else locally or even in Leeds. Highly recommend it (although i might regret it if it becomes too popular) less cake for me!

Hard to find. Need to go up alley next to salvation army building. But worth finding! Hoped for a full English breakfast, but owner said no gas so I had a bacon and sausage sesame bagel. Absolutely lovely. Also his own roast coffee latte. Also highly recommended. Amazing cakes (pastries, sorry!) on display. Amazing selection of milkshakes too. Very friendly. I'll come here again if in Pontefract.

I’m sorry?!?!?! I’d call myself a jacket potato connoisseur to be honest, I have about 4 a week as a go to lunch out and tried them in pretty much every cafe in Pontefract and the surrounding areas but this is genuinely the best jacket I’ve ever received in my life? You’d be surprised how many places get it wrong. The bottom was crispy and most importantly there was NO skimping on anything ✨ please don’t ever change them

Had the omelette for breakfast which was average/ ok; the creamy mushrooms however were to die for. Staff friendly and great atmosphere.

We come to Cromwells every Saturday, it’s become our weekend tradition! I always get the creamy peppered mushrooms on toast, and they never disappoint, absolutely delicious every time. The staff are amazing, friendly, welcoming, and they always make us feel right at home. A lovely spot for breakfast or brunch, especially with family. Highly recommended! —Jake, India & Millie

Expensive for what it is. Ordered a BLT and to be fair, all three ingredients were included but the bacon was cold and obviously came out of a fridge pre-cooked. The sandwich for some unknown reason was cut into tiny triangles and served on a plate with a pile of unnecessary 'salad' to fill the plate out. Because the sandwich was cut up into tiny triangles it was difficult to pick up and as I mentioned, the bacon was very cold. All in all it was an unpleasant experience. To top things off, when paying, I mentioned to the young member of the staff how cold the bacon was, she just looked confused and and giggled....not the best response and poor customer service. We won't be returning.

Little tea room with a big atmosphere. We both had salad. It was crisp and fresh, very good quality. I had a coffe which was really good. There is a great selection of dishes and drinks. Considering it is in a city centre it is very reasonably priced. Someone had booked afternoon tea and it looked amazing and under £20. The staff were friendly and attentive nothing us too much trouble. When I next go I want to try the breakfast. You can partake in alcohol at the restaurant but they didn't have any alcohol free options which is why I only gave 4*.

This time 25 years ago we were enrout to Manchester to fly off to Benalmadena for our Honeymoon. So today we did the next best thing and had a Wedding Breakfast at the same place has we had a wedding Breakfast on our Wedding day xx Cromwells, Mauds Yard, Pontefract. Average food nothing special Waited ages for it to come despite being very quiet. Entrance to building had loads of cigarette buts on floor . It just didn't impress me at all it's a bit chavvy . Much nicer venues in the area

Excellent from start to finish we were looked after by Kaye and the other ladies were just as good. The cocktails flowed followed by the food. A lovely atmosphere would highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of photographing the place today and had the even greater pleasure of eating some food 1st the biscoff pancakes are delicious 2nd the strawberry ice tea is amazing 3rd the venue and staff are both lovely friendly and inviting

Best air-conditioning system around, currently on the way to hospital to spend five days in intensive care with hyperthermia.

The drinks and service were really good, you could definitely get your moneys worth, food was okay but the music was ridiculously loud I couldn't hear the people sat right next to me, let alone the servers. I mentioned it to one of them and she agreed it was a struggle to hear and said she would turn it down but there was no difference. Wouldn't have minded as much if it was evening time but when people are sitting down to eat lunch and drink they normally want to be able to talk

Went to a private party and perfect for a .this . Modern, great bar staff and lovely buffet . Never knew about this place but will revisit in the day for a coffee and bit to eat .

Went on Tuesday 1st April for afternoon tea for my great nieces birthday.Food was lovely,best afternoon tea price i have paid,hands down beats the 2 at Kings Croft that i have had (my opinion of course) Would definitely go again and highly recommend.The staff were lovely and friendly too.Give it a go you won't be disappointed

Caroline and staff were amazing when they went out of their way to cater and make our small wedding reception of 20 special. We had a cordoned off area and L shaped seating. The food and ambience was just right. Can't recommend place enough. Was perfect on the day.

Not been here in years,it is still great. The food is homecooked. Still propper chips,you can tell how good it is because it is nearly always busy. The prices have gone up a bit but still not too costly and well worth it to eat good food. The staff are very friendly and they tend to stay working there which shows it must be a nice place to work.

Excellent home cooked fresh food, at good prices. Well established long running cafe with it's regulars and long standing staff. Staff are always busy but friendly and helpful. Had a breakfast recently which was fab, but have eaten several dishes, their chips are homecooked and wonderful.

Wanted decent fish and chips for our visitor from France and we were not disappointed. Best chips ever ,and super fresh beautifully cooked fish. Friendly staff completed a very pleasant experience, definitely be visiting again !

Purchased my friend a chip butty the other day as well as our tea and hot chocolate, we have never had a problem before, but the chips tasted so grease that she left nearly the whole sandwich. She even tried to mask the taste with vinegar, but even that didn't help. I was so disappointed that we left, saying that we would not return. We have been going since we were 17 and are now both 68. So we have eaten a lot of meals over the years. It's a shame, don't know what happened on that day. We all have one offs. But they cost you customers. Thank you, Mrs, susan Smith.

Service did take a minute or two but the staff were lovely and apologised, we only nipped in for some coffee and we wasn’t disappointed, lovely atmosphere, a good place for a catch up.

A friend and me went to the bottomless brunch. Everything was excellent. The staff serving were friendly and quick with refills. The cocktails were really tasty, I was very impressed with the quality of mixers. The food, amazing, my friend had a burger and chips, it was huge. I have dietary requirements and it was no bother at all for alterations to be made to the jambalaya, the portion was huge and it was really tasty. I've done a few bottomless brunches over the years and this was by far the best. Highly recommend and I'm planning to go back asap!

What a great little place this is. Eggs Benedict is my absolute breakfast and everywhere else I have been the portions have been tiny. Not at Mauds. A huge portion. Reasonably priced and great service with local produce. We will be back.

Hard to find, but we'll worth a visit. Had breakfast with my father. I had eggs Royale and my father, a small English. All beautifully cooked. The flat white coffee was great aswell. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend a visit.

Loved the breakfast here. A properly cooked full english with tasty products. The feel and look ofnthis place is great. Seems a little expensive at first, but that fear was eroded once i saw the value for money that was delivered all ends. Well done and I hope to see you again soon

All tables really dirty and rubbish under the tables. Around the coffee machines were very dirty and covered in coffee beans. We waited over 30 mins for our order, whilst watching 2 members of staff near the till just talking and playing on their phone, I only saw two members of staff actually doing something. When our order finally arrived we wasn't offered any condiments where as other Morrisons cafes do this when bringing your meals. Coffees came out of the machine warm and not hot. Both meals that came were very disappointing. Mine looked more like a cheap kids meal and my partners tasted weird like it was about to go off! I ordered the battered sausage meal and my partner ordered the scampi meal. The pushy pea's on both plates looked and tasted disgusting and very pale. We won't be returning, even if we was starving. (A note to the manager here) I advise that you employ a cleaner because it really is disgusting.

Lady on counter this morning servicing in the cafe was so rude and unapproachable and made us feel super uncomfortable. She shouldn’t be in a customer facing role- Won’t be coming back again.

Service good, food below average, steak pie tough and not very hot, chips good, baked beans tasteless.. coffee good. Top notch home made steak pie in a couple of in town cafes so much better and cheaper. That's my last visit.

Absolutely appouling! Waiting over 40 minutes for a sausage sandwich and breakfast. The breakfast was barely warm and the sausage sandwich was dripping in oil. Definitely won't be returning. Didn't even get an apology for how long we was waiting.

Me and my mam went in Morrisons cafe before doing our shopping, we fancied a treat! I queued up, but I stood in a queue for 10 mins, I could clearly see a customer struggling with a order. When it came to my turn, I asked not once, but twice where are the mugs for our coffee, the server said over there, but there wasn't, I had to ask again, I asked for 2 toasted currant tea cakes, this takes a minimum of 5 mins to grill, at which we were told it would be 30mins! I won't be back to this cafe unless things improve, there is no organisation and consistency! Full arms out, full arms in! In other words, clear something away when you've delivered a meal! We did not get an apology. It was nice to see the screens, but the tables were a mess!

It does not seem to matter when you visit the cafe all meals are unavailable ALL the time. Why advertise 2 for 1 meals, an extensive food menu when your unable to get the very very basics right such as stock control and ordering. Utter disgrace and lazy managing. My advice, change the badging to a Costa coffee shop and just sell coffee and tea and you will remove the negativeness the cafe arm of the business brings to Morrisons.

First visit. Friendly staff. Felt Covid safe. Gluten free menu. Reasonably priced. Only thing that spoilt it was toilet upstairs.

Jolly's has the atmosphere of a country cafe. You get a nice smile from the waitresses and can walk in without paying for your meal first, which is nice. The menu has a good list of cold sandwiches and hot meals with the choice of some of the nicest sweets ever. Have eaten here many times. The only problem with eating here is that if you are a tall/big person or you come with a quite a few people, it can look a little small.

Me and my wife have been here a few times in the past and they are always very friendly we have only had drinks here but they are nice Coffee I have had and my wife tea

Great food on a Sunday. Well worth the price for what you get. The food tasted great and the staff were amazing. Would highly recommend for a good time out.

Me and a friend visited from work on our lunch break as we had heard good things.. 50 mins later and we were without the food we ordered. An egg salad and a steak sandwich. We were the only customers at this point. 35 minutes in we were told the egg salad was not yet ready as they hadn’t got the water hot enough to boiler the egg. Once the food did arrive the egg salad had peppers on which my friend is allergic to. We asked if it could be boxed up as we were now well over our lunch break. Well it was thrown in with blue roll attached! We were expected to pay full price for this also had we not complained. Overall rubbish experience! Shocking. Poor customer service, would not recommend!

Got recommended this hidden gem by a friend from Sheffield. Had it not been for her recommendation I wouldn't have even noticed this place. Today me and other half woke up early so decided to have a little drive over. Buzzing little cafe type brunch place. Menu looked small however evey item on their menu I wanted to try. We placed a order of brunch bagel and Philly cheese steak meal and two matcha drinks. Love the fact that the matcha is made with oat milk❤️ perfect for people like me, and my other half enjoyed his cherry matcha as well Bgael was very hearty and great quality ingredients are used Philly cheese steak meal was a big portion...And tasty. As we enjoyed our brunch couldn't help but notice what other tables had ordered and wanted to have that as well. I ordered 9 meals / sandwiches and had no complaints from anyone! The food was tasty and hot (even by the time I got back to work with it all). The staff were really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be ordering from here again, thank you!

Very good, clean modern cafe. Given the visitor numbers post holidays and Covid, food offering not wide. Even so, they still managed to offer three different gluten free cakes for a snack. Small shop; clean loos; nice children's adventure climbing play area. And next to Pontefract Castle, which is excellent.

Nice setting, but basic self-service type cafe. How can you call something Liquorice Cafe and not offer the liquorice in your cafe? Teaspoons and milk jug both dirty. Not impressed.

The food was nice and freshly prepared but the service was awful. Had to wait ages for 2 sandwiches (45mins )although we were told there was a 10 mins wait for food. They brought the first sandwich then had to wait 10 mins for the other one. My grandson was with us who is 18 months old and it was difficult to keep him entertainment while he waited for his lunch. By the time lunch arrived our coffee's were nearly cold. They were busy but not overly if food orders were organised properly and more staff the wait could have been shorter. The prices were quite expensive for sandwiches served in cardboard packaging and no where near value for money. There was no sorry from the staff for the wait. More experienced staff and staff in general would have been better. We will not visit the cafe again and would advise other family and friends visiting to just have a drink as waiting time for food is unacceptable.

Very warm welcome and excellent fresh sandwich’s made to order. I do think that it should be a law saying hot bacon sandwiches should be offered at any venue like this . . . Sadly they aren’t!

This man is passionate about his coffee and that reflects in the beans from all over the world that he provides at a price cheaper then the bland filter coffee you get elsewhere and the top of the range machine he and his helpful staff use to make it, i did plan on trying all the drinks he had on offer but i was only in Featherstone for 2 days and figured if i did i would not sleep and be bouncing off the walls, whatever blend you decide to go for you will not be disappointed

Don't drink coffee but love the smell of the different coffee in Les Café .And the girls make a nice cup of Earl Grey

Absolutely horrendous, genuinely the worst I've ever eaten. Had a nice sandwich a couple of days before then thought we'd bob in for a sit down breakfast as we were working in the cold, tried sweetening us with extra toast. All the toast in the world couldn't have pulled that one back

Not as good as under previous management. No hash browns included in large breakfast anymore which is a shame. Egg was bit too runny and saw plenty of hairs in coffee mug. Good that the prices are still around the same, inside renovation is nice.

Fantastic food at a reasonable price. Luckily they deliver! Update 03/2025: They recently changed owners and unfortunately the food has gone downhill in a major way. Really quite disappointing. I’ve changed my rating from 5 stars to 2.

A quite sad looking medium bacon and egg sandwich with just two pieces of bacon for £3.50 Unlikely to go back.

Not a fault I can say, delivery times are great, preparation is fast and the sarnies are always fantastic. Friendly both in person and on the phone. Never let me down in my times of hunger

Thought we’d try for our lunch today after using the shop many times before and we knew it was under new management. Unfortunately 3 out of 4 of us were very disappointed. I ordered a BBQ chicken melt panini and there was no cheese in so not sure what the ‘melt’ aspect was? There was also salad inside the panini so it was all wilted - I only selected salad as the picture on their facebook had it on the side. We ordered a ham salad sandwich and it was more lettuce than anything with very little ham and a crispy chicken wrap but the wrap was falling apart and dry. Such a shame, sadly won’t be returning.

A pal and I call regularly and always have a BEST. We have eaten them at a number of cafes around Wakefield and Debi’s is the best BEST! Her cafe is lovely as well and it is a pleasure to eat here. Do go!

Had a nice breakfast at this place this morning. Had the standard and my sister had the small with a couple of extras. Great atmosphere, meal pretty good ( could have been hotter and sausage not best I’ve had), but hey not a bad way to start the day. Loved the fact the cafe was pet friendly 👍

My maybe 5th visit to this cafe their food was good except I always only have ever gotten the tuna sweetcorn melt wrap n only time it was bad was I asked for some onion in it and they put huge chunks of raw white onion in it.... yeah. This time got same thing as usual, barely any tuna just lightly tuna covered sweetcorn in a quarter of the wrap & rest was salad, again raw onion huge chunks atleast red this time but still... I'm not sure what their tuna issue is but my friend got a tuna jacket said nothing bout sweetcorn on the menu (recently updated menu too) it was pure sweetcorn like it had been sat IN the tuna, barely any tuna! Also a big allergy concern as none of this is said on the menu, hers said tuna jacket no mention of anything else at all not even on the side! Mine said side salad and coleslaw, welp bit crap. Probably gonna find another cafe near which is such a shame as it was so nice before this, the desserts at the counter and chips are amazing though. (Pics attached)

Nice place, bit quirky which is a good thing. Dog friendly which is great for me. Prices are ok i guess. The menu could have more on i reckon and an all day breakfast would be good as i missed the breakfast menu by minutes. Will definitely go again 👍.

Lovely place with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Late on quiet a bit of the menu wasn't available, but what we chose was perfect and very good value. We didn't choose the cakes on offer, but they looked amazing. Decaf coffee was available. The toilets were very clean. There was a community feel about the place, with books being sold for charity. Clearly dog friendly! There was lots of seating inside and out. We went on a non-race day for a lunchtime snack-meal on a Sunday, and it could not have been more perfect.

Lovely dog welcoming place for a bite to eat. Has good views of Pontefract Horse Race Course. Has adequate toilet facilities. Wheelchair access from the left side of the building. Once lost my blue disabled persons parking badge here and the staff found it and saved it for me.

Decent breakfast a little on the high side compared to some places in town but its a great location and is extremely dog friendly too ! I was a bit surprised by the flat white cup size as quite small compared to most places but everything else was great and very friendly and fast service we will definitely go back again.

Great place to take dogs before or after their walk. We just go for a coffee, haven't actually eaten there. Tables inside and out. And limited amount of dog treats sold.

What a great family run place. Daytime it's a cafe, nighttime it's a takeaway. Nice to support local business. The menu is large so plenty of choice well worth a visit or order. The food is lovely

What a nice friendly welcome and wow such a diverse menu for a little place a big menu a big thumbs up the food tastes better than your average a nice thin crust pizza and freshly cooked chips seems refreshing to see a team of people who are happy to work with a warm and friendly customer service experience and they even offerd the dog sausages :) the cook times where fast and i had orderd a meal deal great job guys ill be back soon for sure

Enjoyed our breakfast, but my friend paid for spam extra and only got half a slice which she was expecting a full one x Jess also enjoyed her bacon sandwich, lovely conversation with staff... 😊

Amazing food. Fantastic staff. Not 1 to be missed. Streethouse has a little gem in this cafe/takeaway. We will definitely be back.

Very nice food and at really good price

Visited for breakfast. Food was hot and fresh, absolutely delicious. All the staff are friendly and polite. Highly recommend. Very clean place and we were able to sit in.

Honestly the best little sandwich shop in the area. I’m a very picky eater and this place cooks my food exactly how I ask and also every lady who works there makes you feel welcome and is super lovely 🥰

Had a full english breakfast was so nice foods cooked perfect and fast and staff are really nice.prices are good especially for the price ..can eat in or take away and a very good choice of food to have ..great place.

Now that's a sandwich! Me and the wife love a good sandwich and I dont think I could make one at home this good or as cheap. We will be coming again. Bonus is it's just around the corner.
