Palmer's Village Cafe is a bustling eatery known for its unique, homestyle breakfast and lunch fare. Whether you're a local or tourist, this spot is perfect for starting your day with hearty southern-style creations. The Texas-sized French Toast, topped with bananas and strawberries, is a customer favorite. The menu offers an abundance of options including Challah French toast, granola pancakes, veggie omelette, and Benedicts galore.
We've been to Palmer's a few times, and it's a great breakfast spot. Yes, they can be very busy, and depending on how close you are to the door, it can be very disruptive. But the staff is friendly and the service is fast. We love the biscuits, and the way they cook their eggs is perfect. Definitely will visit again.

Walking into Palmer’s Village Cafe was a whole different vibe—I didn’t expect it at all. The place was clean, and the smell of good cooking hit me right away. The service was fast and attentive, and even though it was packed, our food arrived in a decent time. I do wish the seats were a little bigger and had some cushioning, but that’s a small trade-off for the great experience. If you go, trust me—the French toast is the way to go!

Is it worth the 20-30 minute wait or early wake-up call? Umm, yeah!! If you are looking for a tasty fulfilling breakfast in a quaint causual setting, this is the place to be. With a diverse menu offering, Palmer's Village Cafe is serving traditional and creative meals catered to their southern island residents and guests. Friendly servers provide prompt courteous service to all patrons. Seating is limited. Parties larger than 4, call ahead to notify them you're coming, though they don't take reservations. On street and Lot parking are available along Mallery Street and the surrounding areas.

If u want the best breakfast in St. Simons, this place is it! My wife had the banana pudding pancakes and I had the coastal delight which was awesome. Had great from my waiter. Only thing negative I say is we were seated in the back and it was alittle uncomfortable temp wise but I tell u the food is worth it though

Very cute and quaint restaurant. We came for breakfast. It was first thing in the morning, around 8 a.m. They opened at 7:30. It was already packed. But we were seated right away. We had the French toast and 2 egg breakfast with the pimento cheese grits bacon, sausage and a biscuit. You can tell that the sausage was homemade. It was very flavorful and delicious. Everything was nice hot and tasty.
Lovely — Google review
Such a great place. Small menu and executed very well. Energy in the restaurant was fantastic. Servers moving none stop helping clear tables and getting people sat. I had their eggs beni over crab cakes. It was delicious. Their tomato soups was amazing.
Orlando A — Google review
Everything was excellent! I was even able to build my own omelet with crab meat, bacon and pimento cheese. The grits were great as well. A friend enjoyed the French toast. And a couple others had the steak and eggs. The coffee was ok: hot and unlimited. Would return on a later trip for sure.
Janette B — Google review
We have been coming to the island for years. This place is always packed and we have never been able to get it. We decided to give it a try on a monday morning!!!!! Success!!!!! And let me tell you it is worth the wait!!!!! This is the best breakfast I have had on this island. The crab cake Benedict which I think is called surf squared is to die for!!!! The service is also exceptional!!!! We will be back and will wait if needed.

Wake Up Coffee Company is a popular coffeehouse that offers a variety of thoughtfully sourced coffees, teas, and retail goods from developing countries. They take pride in serving certified Fair Trade or direct relationship coffees and ensuring that every bean receives the attention it deserves. Open seven days a week, this cozy shop has been delighting customers with its delicious aromas and flavorful offerings for the past 8 years. Visitors rave about their unique island mocha, delightful avocado toast, and friendly staff.
Great coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service! The coffee was rich and flavorful, perfectly brewed. The shop itself was clean and cozy, making it a great spot to relax or get some work done. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a great experience. Definitely a place worth visiting!

I can’t visit St. Simons Island without stopping by Wake Up Coffee Company several times during my stay. They offer a well-rounded selection of hot and cold coffee drinks, along with a small but excellent assortment of bakery items. The scones, muffins, and power balls are all top-notch. Yes, it’s a little pricey — but most good coffee shops are these days. It’s absolutely worth it.
Russell C — Google review
A decent enough shop. The latte (caramel) I had was a bit too acidic for my taste, but my friends liked their drinks (mocha, rasp. honey vanilla). We had to stand in line for about 15 minutes to order and wait another 10 for our drinks. Most of the syrups and pastries are made in house, which is nice. I was going to try a danish, but they sold out while I was in line. I don't know if I would go back on my own to be honest.

This is my go to coffee place whenever we visit the island. I get a bag of The Whistler blend ground to brew at the house. It has such a unique flavor, strong but not bitter. They always have cool t-shirts and mugs available as well.

A very nice place for coffee on the island of St. Simos. The staff is very friendly.

Genuinely one of the BEST lattes I’ve ever had. Went back second day while on vacation and got an iced latte instead of a hot one & it was incredible. The staff were also super sweet as well even though it was quite busy the second day. Super efficient and kind. Definitely the best place to get coffee on the island.

Cafe
Mallery Street Cafe is a cheerful, family-owned restaurant offering breakfast and lunch options. The cafe has a casual atmosphere with outdoor seating available. The menu, curated by owner Lance Williams, features diner-style dishes at reasonable prices. From classic biscuits and gravy to eggs benedict and various omelets, the chef-driven local cuisine caters to diverse tastes. Visitors can enjoy freshly baked treats like the popular chocolate chip cookies unique to St. Simons Island.
Our first visit for breakfast was awesome. It was very busy, but we only waited about ten minutes for a table. I ordered the eggs Benedict with potatoes, and my husband had a New York strip steak with eggs, a biscuit and fruit. It was all excellent, and the service was great too. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip
Shelly G — Google review
Amazing breakfast/brunch place. Plates arrive hot and fast. Exceptional Eggs Benedict and also the Southwestern omelette are highly recommended as well as the biscuit and perfectly crispy potatoes. Present and helpful service but not overly so, just a wonderful way to greet the day. Highly recommended.
J V — Google review
Stopped into the cafe today like we often have through the years of island visits. As always, very yummy food and excellent service. Kara took great care of us from start to finish including offering refills and to go drinks along with a couple of non food related questions. Just a delight all around. It had been a bit since we’d been so new to us was an additional food and bar area (picture included) that apparently jams until 2am! Our grilled asparagus salad with chicken and Greek salad with blackened shrimp were fantastic. The blackened shrimp were very tasty and warm as a nice contrast to the Greek salad components and dressing.
Win S — Google review
Fantastic Eggs Benedict and variations! The crab instead of ham is my favorite! Not sure why this place doesn’t show up in Google search for breakfast but it should! There’s a short wait for a table weekends but worth your patience.
Bill M — Google review
The French toast sticks were delicious. Everybody else at my table was happy with their meals as well. Service was great too! I have a celiac friend (can only eat gluten free) who was joining us and Mallery Street Café accommodated him without confusion or any other issues.
Anjelika S — Google review
Hello, my name is Haley Marion and I am reviewing Mallery Street Cafe. It is located on the strip of the pier on St. Simons, and the address is 408 Mallery St, St Simons Island, GA 31522. My friend and I visited this last Sunday, October 12th for brunch. We ordered the 2 Egg McIntosh– toasted English muffins, topped with crabmeat and hollandaise, as well as the Northern three egg omelet, which consisted of steak, onion, peppers, and provolone, both with a side of potatoes. The McIntosh I was not a fan of, but the omelet was solid. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned- crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For drinks we got a cappuccino and a virgin espresso martini, both were well made. If you have ever had Wakeup Cafe, they use their beans and it is one of my favorites. The cafe is easily accessed, but easy to look over. It is on the end of the strip, connected to other shops. It is only marked with a sign on the side of the building, so you wouldn’t notice it without reason. This is a very casual breakfast cafe, full of families and all types of groups and everyone is in their daily clothing. Being a Sunday morning, it was packed. We were squeezed in at a table that was directly behind the host booth. The staff were being pulled many different ways, so the waitering was sparse, but our waitress was very friendly and efficient. If you are with a group that has different tastes, the menu was extremely varied for breakfast, there was even angel hair pasta on the brunch menu. One thing is that the restaurant is a little pricey, as expected from the island. Our bill ended up being $54 before tip. The hours are 7 AM–2 PM for breakfast, and reopens 4 PM–2 AM for the bar, so it is open for most of the day! At night I definitely recommend going, the cafe turns into a bar that often has live music. The crowd at night is often older couples that are a joy to talk to!

Great local breakfast! I had the eggs McIntosh (with crab) and corned beef hash. The hash was cooked perfectly crispy and it was all delish. I tried the omelette and it was nice and fluffy. Highly recommend this local joint!
Alex K — Google review
Great place for breakfast!! We enjoyed a few breakfasts here during our annual February visit! First off they know how to cook eggs!! They know what over medium means! Next the coffee is always hot & fresh! Their bacon is AMAZING!! Nice & crispy!! And just tastes so good. Definitely not too salty, just excellent!! Their toasts are delicious, at least the wheat & white, that we had. I enjoyed a 3 egg omelet with spinach, tomato, onion & bacon. It was really good. The pancakes were very big and yummy! The breakfast potatoes are really good. Although a bit too salty. I guess my only critique is too much salt on the potatoes. And the service was top notch! The servers worked together as a cohesive team and communicated nicely with each other. Constantly checking on each other's tables. It was nice to see that. And the wait for your food order was minimal. I mean they are fast!

Barbecue restaurant
Southern Soul Barbeque is a popular BBQ joint located on St. Simons Island, housed in a former gas station. It has gained recognition for its oak-smoked meats and specialties, with accolades from Southern Living Magazine and restaurant critic Bill Addison. The menu features pulled pork sandwiches, beef brisket, ribs, and smoked turkey breast. Conveniently situated at the Demere Road roundabout upon entering the island, it has been a beloved spot since its inception in 2006.
Great place to go. They have lunch special that great deal. The bbq has great flavor. We had most of items and everything was great. A must stop in island!
Scott R — Google review
Really good food and welcoming service. I had the turkey plate and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was tender and the vinegar on the side was flavorful. Loved to okra and our son enjoyed the hotdog and fries. Husband said the pulled pork was good. We missed the gift shop but maybe next time. Also forgot to ask what the deal was with the license plates?! Pretty neat decor.
Clarke E — Google review
We went on a Saturday. I have wanted to try their Flavored wings for sometime. We got three out of the four flavors offered. Every time we get the wings to go, Maui flavored are sold out. Describe... Odd the charts delicious! Smoky, tasty, sweet and spicy!! They are meaty and you get alot for your money!
Pamela H — Google review
Locals recommended this place to us. We had an amazing smoked turkey breast and their Cuban sandwich. Sides Brunswick stew a must try and the Mac and Cheese! Great areas to sit outside and enjoy this beautiful spring weather.
Marie C — Google review
This places is a namesake and it makes sense. It is good. It is well known. And it is fun. It wasn’t my favorite bbq ever. I got the sampler platter with pork and brisket. They both were a little dry sadly. I had collards and Brunswick stew as sides. The stew was the best thing I had. My friend ordered the prime rib special with hoppin jones and Mac n cheese. The prime rib was huge and pretty tasty. The sides were just ok. I do think this place is a good place to go. Huge portions and it is popular for a reason. We got there right at 11 and by the time we left there was already a line. Worth a try for sure. I just wouldn’t say it is my favorite and I have had better.
Kenzie W — Google review
Decided to grab lunch here while I was shopping on St Simons Island and I must say, it was phenomenal. I had the Soul Sandwich (jumbo pulled pork sandwich) with sweet sauce and hot sauce with a side of BBQ baked beans. I really enjoyed all of it. The staff was friendly, and even though the line was out the door, my wait was not too long. Pricing is on par with what you would expect from this type of restaurant. I think I paid about $20 (that was with a tip). Will be back!
Robert R — Google review
No visit to Saint Simons Island would be complete without a stop here for at least one meal. Southern Soul is an institution in this town and rightfully so. The food is excellent and plentiful. The daily special is a chopped pork sandwich, fries and a drink. Only $10. It was more food than we could eat. We got the 'sweet' sauce out of a choice of four choices. We noticed that this is the sauce that most of the local ask for. The walls are covered with magazine articles that have featured this place. By all means eat here!
Kenneth D — Google review
We tried a bit of all from the stew to brisket to chicken to the smoked turkey and boy do i have to say coming fro. Bbq country if Texas it was amazing. Im glad I will be in the area knowing that there s delicious bbq in here at least.

Cafe Frederica is a long-standing and vibrant cafe located at 110 Sylvan Blvd, Saint Simons Island, GA. It has been a local favorite for over 30 years, offering delicious breakfast options such as bagels, eggs benedict, pancakes, omelets, and more. The lunch menu features a variety of sandwiches including crab salad, grilled cheese, BLT, and club sandwiches.
Great local cafe. Hidden away off Frederica road. We love the place
Louis B — Google review
Great for Brunch! We were looking for a great brunch spot in the St. Simon’s area, and this is definitely it! The menu had all of the normal breakfast classics, plus a few lunch items, all of which were reasonably priced. The only thing I believe was very overpriced was their drinks. $4 for any of their juices and milks with NO REFILLS. And $3.50 for their normal drinks. Very steep prices for drinks in my opinion. However, other than that, the food was VERY GOOD. I recommend the stuffed blueberry French toast, and the corn beef hash! Both were satisfying and tasted freshly made. The portions were perfect, as I did not get stuffed, but was not left hungry. Another great option would be the Eggs Benedict. My friend ordered those and they looked great. The staff was great, but there was not enough of them, so I was only offered one refill throughout the whole meal. Another slight downside is that it is extremely small inside, with not too many seats. If you have a big group, this is not the place for you. It has a small breakfast cafe feel, as it should. The parking options are also very slim. There are not too many spots and Sunday afternoons are very busy here. Overall, really good experience! I would have given it 5 stars if there were more staff to wait on us, if the orange juice was cheaper, and if the place had more seating and parking. However, 4 stars is really good! I would definitely come back here for brunch! (With a small group).

Found this hidden gem this morning. The staff here is great and very attentive to their customers. The food portions are generous and full of flavor from our seats we where able to watch the kitchen staff preparing the meals. My family really enjoyed this Cafe and will definitely eat here again.

Very enjoyable breakfast. Food was excellent, I had the French Toast, my wife had the Cinnamon Roll, both were delicious. Coffee was good. Charge for refills on soft drinks. Automatically add $1 to your bill as a donation to St Simons Island trust. Saturday morning ~9 AM, 10-15 minute wait. Staff seemed a little distracted.
John B — Google review
My sister and I came here for breakfast and I absolutely love this place. From the service to the atmosphere it's top notch. The food was delicious and fresh. I definitely recommend coming here, you will not be disappointed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Diana — Google review
A little tough to locate this quaint little neighborhood diner has a friendly wait staff, open view kitchen, and is clean and well kept. Portion sizes were plentiful but the breakfast itself was just ok.... not overwhelming. . The biscuits and gravey seemed to be hamburger based and the toast was delicious as it is grilled after toasting.
Jim J — Google review
We really wanted to love this spot. Most of the reviews said it was a must include when visiting SSI. But it didn’t hit. The wait was about 20-30 minutes - and for Memorial Weekend that’s really not bad! But when we were seated the waitress took our drink orders but only brought half out with a coffee and 1 water. We ordered our food - the menu is pretty simple, limited options for breakfast to single items to make a combo. We went with French toast with potatoes and scrambled eggs as well as a regular pancake and two egg omelette. The food was… good, normal. I wanted more of a southern take, homemade from scratch feel. But it didn’t look or taste any different than I could get a regular diner. The waitress disappeared and didn’t refill our water , orange juice or coffee. The wait staff seemed a tad distracted. Overall not a bad experience, but not out of this world or a must stop while on SSI.

For those in search of delectable and smooth frozen treats, Moo Cow Ice Cream is the ideal destination. This establishment offers a wide variety of flavors to satisfy every palate. While their Black Cherry flavor stands out as a crowd favorite, they also cater to more adventurous taste buds with unique options like Basil. Open late into the evening, Moo Cow Ice Cream ensures that no vacation is complete without indulging in some creamy goodness.
We are always looking for places that make their own ice cream when we travel. Home made flavors are by register, we decided to try mint chocolate chip and vanilla cherry and those two were not ones made directly by them but they were DELICIOUS! We are not local but hope to be back!
Tina M — Google review
Right next door to the best fried chicken and shrimp place on St. Simon's Island is a cute and quaint ice cream shop named Moo Cows ice cream. Situated in an old-school filling station and garage, Moo Cows serves up some tasty cold cream flavors from Hershey's with a few of their own home churned concoctions. The Salty Turtle was my flavor of choice, and it really hit the spot to put out the fire of the hot shrimp Po Boy sandwich I just had. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. 😍😋

Great ice cream! There was a line out the door with a cute traffic light to signal when people could enter the small store. The Insta Graham flavor was great and everyone in my group enjoyed their ice cream. This shop is a great complement to the many restaurants in the area

I never thought red velvet cake could be combined into a cone of delectable ice cream. To whoever created this masterpiece: I hope your pillows are always cold, your coffee always hot, and that you never run out of toilet paper. I hope you have a blanket when the days get cold and AC for when the days get hot. May you forever live life in comfort. Would 100% come again.

We tried two ice cream places on the island, and this was definitely our favorite. They manage the small space well. They have a variety of unique flavors. I tried the jasmine ice cream, and it was very good. The shop is also full of high-quality cow puns. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for some good ice cream or something out of the ordinary.
Stephanie C — Google review
The reviews were all good for this small place on St Simons so we gave it a try. Turned off immediately by the difficult parking situation. The line to get in was short and efficient. Can’t imagine what it would be like on a weekend. Ice cream was good, nothing spectacular. $18 for two cones? Wow. The girl that took our order was super pleasant.

Please add chocolate chip cookie dough! They have some WILD flavors over never heard of. Tastes good, better than other ice creams I’ve tried in the island.

Whoever worked tonight shift, which is today is Sunday, October 12, 2025 gave us the absolute worst experience a family could ever have. We came in ordered five ice creams and we are treated like we were subpar human beings. The cones were stale, and we were treated as if we didn’t know what we were talking about. I would highly recommend going and taking your business somewhere else where they appreciate your business

Sandy Bottom Bagels is a full-service deli and bakery that offers a wide selection of breakfast and lunch options, along with gourmet coffees. The deli features classic New York flavors like everything and pumpernickel, as well as unique options such as asiago, sun-dried tomato, and French toast.
Great service, good bagels. The everything bagel we ordered was a little tough and over cooked, but the plain bagel was chewy and perfect.
Local G — Google review
Ordered 3 day ahead of time for our vacation. We were ordering a large order. The order was lost and when we called to check an hour before pick-up, they had to find it. The regular bagels were pretty good. The gluten free bagels were not. It’s almost better to not provide gluten free if it’s not good. It was super dense and grainy. If you use the right flour, you can create really light gluten free items. Price was fine. Edit to reply to response: It wasn’t a catering order. Pick up was Monday at 8:30 am. My mom called to confirm before she drove over. They didn’t know what she was talking about and had to search for the order that I had placed several days before. This was at 7:45 am. They did find the order and it was ready when she got there. If you don’t require pre-ordering for orders of 6 or more, you need to edit your app.

I ordered the bacon, egg & cheese on a garlic bagel, and it was delicious. I loved the garlic bagel, I'm a big garlic girlie 🧄🧄 I wished it was a little more full though, and the only reason I docked a star. But still, it was incredibly tasty. We're only here visiting on vacation, but I'd return if we're ever back here again!
Halie P — Google review
Refered by a family friend. My daughter and her husband picked up several bagel sandwiches plus enough bagels for our crew for the week we visited St. Simons. I tried the tuna melt (very good), and the cheesesteak bagel sandwich… plus various bagels during breakfasts. All were pretty good!
Richard B — Google review
I hate that this was so disappointing. My husband & I really wanted to like this place. We were going to go to McDonald’s for biscuits but we saw Sandy Bottom and said “let’s do the local place instead!” I’m a bagel lover… but these were not it. Their bagels are very dense and they don’t toast them properly to help with texture. I would be interested in taking a couple bagels hope to split & toast them properly, but in the meantime the breakfast sandwich I got was just too bread-y and needed more texture. I really think the quality of their sandwiches could be so easily improved if they would just toast them correctly (re: toast the middle!)

This place has so much potential, but it’s definitely lacking. it’s a cute little place with a good menu and ok food. Unfortunately, the staff may have been just having a bad day, but my order was incorrect and had a hair in it and my husband mentioned the “toasted” garlic on his sandwich was more burnt than toasted.

Some of the worst coffee available on the island. It’s absolutely terrible. Do not order a cup of coffee. The bagels selection is fantastic. It’s a perfect place to grab breakfast before the beach. Order ahead using their app, this place can get busy and they make every sandwich fresh.

I'm going to give this place another try on an upcoming trip to SSI but last time my husband and I agreed that what we got were not bagels. Decent bread maybe, but not bagels.

Their menu boasts an array of delicious breakfast options such as doughnuts and various coffee beverages. The bakery takes pride in using locally sourced ingredients and bakes their goods daily. It's advisable to arrive early as the baked goods sell out quickly, especially on weekends.
WOW, These donuts are heavenly! The glazed donut was perfection. The cinnamon roll was exceptional. The sticky buns were out of this world. The "Cat Head" ( jalapenos, cheddar, bacon and scallions) biscuit was phenomenal. The line can get very long, so get there early. You will not be disappointed.

Watched this in a video somewhere back in 2022 and stopped by one morning on my bike. Needless to say, this is a staple of our family beach trip each year. They open at 7, GET THERE EARLY if you want to sit inside and enjoy the vibes! The service is second to none, and every time I am inside I feel Inspired to open my own breakfast business one day. TIP: GET THE MAPLE BACON DONUT. You won’t regret it. They usually have a few staples (like chocolate and strawberry) but they often do other unique kinds of donuts. If I could give it six stars, I would!

We had to wait in line for about 40 minutes, with two small kids, but it was honestly so worth it! We all shared 6 donuts, plus one bacon, egg & cheese on a brioche bun, and I got a brown sugar iced latte for myself. The raspberry Berliner was the best raspberry jelly I've ever had, and ergo, the best raspberry donut I've ever had. Everything was amazing though!
Halie P — Google review
The donuts are ahhhmazing! Tried a vanilla creme filled and apple of my chai. Both were delicious. The box felt really heavy for just 2 donuts, but the donuts themselves were light, airy and just sweet enough. The apple of my chai was my favorite, the frosting or whatever was piped on top....pretty sure I heard angels singing when I took a bite. OMG!! If you haven't, definitely try them. You won't be sorry! Can't wait to try the pistachio creme next visit 😍 😋🤤

This was our first visit to Dolce Dough upon the recommendation from a family member. It did not disappoint!! The donuts were delicious, and the tart was such that you craved more as soon as you finished. Get there early!! Or order ahead, they will sell out😊

I would say, whenever I placed my order online, it's well organized and the employees were super nice. With that being said, I love a good cinnamon roll and this one wasn't it. It was overly cooked on top and still a little doughy in the middle. The icing was very thin, perhaps it's suppose to be a glaze, I'm unsure and the icing didn't cover the entire cinn roll. It just wasn't well made on this particular day. My co-workers suggested for me to try Sweet Mama's cinnamon roll. I will keep you guys posted on that review. I will give Ducle Dough another try because my ham biscuit was tasty, next time I will ask for extra ham.
Pamela C — Google review
The doughnuts are delicious, the decor is cute and retro, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The raspberry/pistachio glazed was a family favorite! I highly recommend, and we will definitely be back next time we’re on the island!

Porch is a charming eatery located in the heart of Saint Simons Island Village, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Guests can choose to dine at outdoor picnic tables within the fenced-in property, on the traditional screened-in porch, or indoors.
We really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was great. The wait time wasn’t bad to order. The food came out quickly. Everything was good. The food was seasoned very well and you got nice portion sizes. This place was definitely a vibe! So glad we dined here.

Love the atmosphere and vibes! Tenders, catfish, pimento grits and Mac n cheese were THE BEST! Cocktail sauce was delicious! Fried shrimp was good but could be seasoned a bit more, baked beans were bland to be maple flavored. Looking forward to trying new dishes and sides next visit!

We were in the area and had to stop because we love DDD and found out Guy stopped here. We had the chicken tenders and fried shrimp. Also had fries, tots, Mac N Cheese and brussell sprouts. Everything was fantastic, best thing to me was the fried shrimp with tasted fresh and had great flavor. Only downside was the Mac was not very hot and flavor was lacking. Staff is super nice. Tons of seating. Prices are fair. Atmosphere is great. I want to come back again and try more things.
Wade — Google review
So, Porch was wonderful. Pictured is the little dark plate, tots topped with pimento cheese, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was really good. Nice crisp skin and juicy meat inside. Tots are taken up a notch with the pimento cheese, and the coleslaw was spot on. All in all, if you're around St Simon Island you'll want to stop in.
Chris B — Google review
The food was great, and we loved the "porch" vibe and atmosphere! I loved that they highlighted which options were gluten free and vegan/vegetarian, as I can't eat wheat or dairy so it makes eating out challenging, but they made it easy! I had roasted chicken (Nashville hot) with brussel sprouts and tried collard greens for the first time ever. The brussel sprouts were the best I've had in my entire life!!! The chicken was amazing as well, but if you want spicy, maybe choose the Napalm heat, the Nashville wasn't spicy at all to me, but the flavor was great!!! And the prices were pretty great!
Padma D — Google review
We really enjoyed the our meals. I wish I had known the spice level was based on a paprika. The novice was good but Nashville overpowered any taste of chicken at all. We all agreed we would return and just have the fish, shrimp, and chicken without any “heat.”
Barbie T — Google review
Porch on St. Simons Island delivers a knockout with its Nashville-style hot shrimp. These fresh, wild-caught Georgia shrimp are fried to a golden crisp, coated in a fiery cayenne-based spice blend that balances heat with a subtle sweetness. Offered in four heat levels—Naked, Novice, Nashville, or NaPalm—the Nashville option delivers a bold kick that satisfies spice lovers without overwhelming. Served with creamy coleslaw, fries, and white bread, the generous portion feels like a true Southern feast. The casual, family-friendly vibe, with its iconic wraparound porch and lawn games like cornhole, creates a relaxed coastal backdrop. Service is quick and friendly, though ordering can feel rushed during peak times. For a zesty, beachside twist on Nashville’s classic heat, Porch’s hot shrimp is a must-try, earning rave reviews for flavor and atmosphere.
Doug R — Google review
Order at counter and they bring your food to your table. Chicken sandwich was very good with pimento cheese nice addition. Fresh salad with grilled chicken added was great which my spouse enjoyed. Spiked arnold palmer was 👍 good. Would definitely recommend and we intend to return to try other menu items including the shrimp tacos. Nice outdoor area with Cornhole games included. Overall we both liked the food the service and the atmosphere.

Nestled in The Village, Del Sur Artisan Eats is a charming eatery that beautifully marries contemporary Argentinian and Italian cuisine. Since its inception in 2011 by co-owners Hernan Stutzer and Chef Alberto Llano, this intimate spot has been dedicated to serving honest food—crafted with care and simplicity. Each dish is handmade, allowing the natural flavors of fresh ingredients to shine through.
We absolutely loved our dinner at Del Sur. I highly recommend reservations through Opentable. When you walk in, you will immediately smell the grill! The empanadas are delicious and the flank steak with chimichurri was one of the best I've ever had. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable.

Stopped by for lunch today with friends. Our server, Quinn was incredible and very attentive to all of our needs. We ordered the mixed salad with chicken, Grilled Cheese w/ Ceasar and the Cuban Sandwhich with fries. We loved all of our meals and the food was delicious and perfect lunch portions. Give this little slice of heaven a try. Very pretty atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.

Last week my friends and I went to Del sur in Brunswick, a restaurant a friend had recommended because it serves Latin-inspired food. Since I’m from Latin America, I was really excited to try it and see if it reminded me of home. The place had a cozy and colorful atmosphere, with warm lights and music that gave it an authentic Latin vibe. The staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. We started with some empanadas that tasted just like the ones I used to eat back home crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For my main dish, I ordered a chimichurri steak with fries, and it was amazing. The steak was juicy, and the sauce had that traditional flavor I really missed. My friends all loved their meals too, especially the rice bowls and tacos. To finish, we shared a tres leches cake that was soft, sweet, and full of flavor. Eating at Del sur brought back a lot of memories from my country, and I really appreciated that taste of home. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely go back again whenever I want to enjoy real Latin flavors in Brunswick.

One of the best meals we've had in a long time! Perfectly cooked steak and a braised bone-in short rib, and an orange creme brulee to finish. Perfect! They even sent a birthday candle home with the dessert since the server knew it was for a birthday. Will go again, probably tomorrow night!

We did not need a reservation, we got lucky!!!! Spur of the moment decision. It has been the best meal we have had at saint simons. From the appetizer to the dessert. We had the steak empananda. It was great all on its own. Sauce was not needed. The butternut squash soup could have used more cream but still delicious. The short rib over the parmesan risotto was to die for. Creamy risotto and the short rib was extremely tender. We also had the shrimp premivera absolutely stunning!!! And to top it off we had the khalula cake which we finished in our hotel room. So moist and flavorful. We will definitely be back!!!! Great job!!!!

I visited Saint Simons Island for my birthday, and Del Sur was my first stop for lunch. It was still early, and aside from one other table of guests seated outside, I was the only customer in the restaurant before the lunch rush. Adam immediately struck up a conversation with me, and Quinn, my waiter, was equally engaging. When I mentioned I was there for my birthday weekend, Adam surprised me with a piece of Kahlúa cake. My entire lunch experience was fantastic. The chicken on my salad was cooked to perfection, and their house vinaigrette was phenomenal. Fantastic food aside, what truly made this my favorite place on the island was the staff. Quinn, a young college student, was sweet, engaging, and such a gentleman. Adam, pictured below, was kind and attentive. Watching him in the kitchen as I ate, you could see his culinary skill and passion. I returned the following evening to purchase another slice of that amazing cake, and the place was packed. Both Adam and Quinn recognized me from the previous day, greeted me with hugs, and chatted as much as they could while I waited for my to-go order. Quinn asked me to come back the next night for dinner, but unfortunately, bad weather kept me in my hotel room. On my next trip, Del Sur will once again be my first stop and go-to restaurant. I only hope to see Adam and Quinn again - they were the absolute highlight of my trip.

I had the pleasure of dining at Del Sur during a short visit to St Simon’s Island. I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! Del Sur offers a welcoming ambiance that's perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. Our group was on the larger side, but the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. One of the highlights of our dinner was the superb selection of wines, which perfectly complemented our flavorful dishes. The meat choices were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the steak, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal on St. Simon's Island. I can’t wait to return!

I recently visited Palm Coast Coffee on St. Simons Island, and I must say, it’s a delightful spot for any meal of the day! Whether you're looking for a cozy brunch, a satisfying lunch, or a pleasant dinner, this place has got you covered. The atmosphere is inviting, with lovely indoor seating that feels homey, and when the weather permits, the outdoor seating is just perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco. Every dish I tried was flavorful. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It’s evident that the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The service felt a bit rushed, and unfriendly but the food made the day. Overall, I highly recommend Palm Coast Coffee to anyone visiting St. Simons Island. The combination of delicious food, a cozy ambiance, and a prime location makes it a must-try! I'll definitely be back for another visit!

We were seated and attended to within minutes by our very kind waitress, who was super accommodating and brought a booster seat for my toddler right away. I'd give this experience and this place a 10/10 and highly recommend it.

The Crab Trap is a long-standing canteen and bar on St. Simons Island, offering a rustic nautical atmosphere and serving up a variety of seafood dishes. Established in 1975, this island staple is still owned and operated by the original family. The menu features an array of seafood options such as shrimp, oysters, scallops, crab, and the fresh catch of the day prepared in different ways.
Just two of us on a Tuesday evening. They were very busy but we had no wait. Food was outstanding (try the Blackened shrimp and Blackened scallops)! Location was central to many other things. Parking was available. I highly recommend.
Rev. J — Google review
The soup and scallops were good. The fries and chicken my grands had were cold. They weren't busy, so I was quite disappointed. Our server had 2 tables, but we had empty glasses during the meal. The Crab Trap has always been a favorite, but I don't see myself returning. Cost of eating out is too much to get marginal. 😭
Keep G — Google review
We went here while on vacation. The service was great! I was disappointed that the food wasn’t the best. The soup was pretty good. The rock shrimp was overdone. The blackened flounder was rubbery. I’m not sure how I feel about the fries. They were crunchy, but they didn’t have much flavor besides that. The best meal at our table was Cajun shrimp-delish! When I leave a meal and pay almost $60 for one person, I expect it to be better than a Captain D’s type meal. No one in my large group really thought they got their monies worth. The portions were enough, but not extra. No one at my table needed a box. The reviews I read made me expect way more.
Trace C — Google review
We arrived about 6 pm on a Sunday evening, two of us. We were seated immediately in the front dining room and our server greeted us promptly for our drink order. She returned first with our requested water and then with our draft craft beers which were reasonably priced at $5 each. We ordered half dz raw oysters and cup of crab soup first. Oysters were small but tasty and soup was delicious, full of crab meat. We ordered entrees after our appetizers, fried soft shell crabs and the combo plate with blackened scallops and 1 crab cake. Sides were included with the dinners, cole slaw for both, fries on combo, bake potato with crab. We both enjoyed our food. My favorite were the scallops. Nice sear and tender meat. Service was very good. We would go back. Prices were reasonable and servings generous.
Sandy T — Google review
Ordered for 3 people to-go for approximately $130. While picking up our food, we checked, and there was no butter/sour cream for upcharged baked potatoes (and they forgot salad, also ordered with upcharge). After pointing out to attendant she said she would get and brought out bag with "butter and sour cream". She also brought the salad. Upon arrival home- we discovered plenty of sour cream but no butter. Additionally, there was no salad dressing with the salad. Seafood was good. Hushpuppies were excellent. Portions were very small for price. Attention to detail for to go order was poor, even after multiple specific requests. Service was friendly, results mediocre. If you order to go, check your order carefully before leaving! Then...double check!

I was slightly disappointed given the recommendations I'd received. The food was good, but the portions were small compared to the prices and the seating was a little cramped. The standout was the service. From hostess that wait staff and even the bus boy, everyone was great.
Laj 6 — Google review
Felt like an overpriced fast food restaurant. We paid $100 but it was like we were ripped off. Not a lot of food per meal. The seafood was the least tasty thing they gave us. Best things were the hush puppies and fries. I’m happy to pay that much for a meal if it feels like I get a really good meal. This wasn’t it. Disappointed.

Great Location!! Easy to find and lots to look at in the store… Really liked walking around looking at the shop and some of the nostalgic stuff in there. As an Ice Cream Expert that travels the country looking for good ice cream, I have to say that this place is hitting the mark. I tried quite a few flavors and my favorites were the Pralines and Cream, Banana Pudding and Peach Cobbler. I am a huge lover of pecan pie, but I was disappointed with their Pecan Pie ice cream (the base fell flat with little flavor, you only got flavor from the actual chunks of pecan pie). 😞 The waffle cone was nice and crispy! One thing I am big on is customer service. I believe in making a first and lasting impression. The girls behind the counter were great and pleasant but this place gets busy (line out the door) and there was only one girl scooping ice cream. The 2 other girls were filling spoons and such (my recommendation would be to have them jump in to serve the customers first). Overall I think this place is a must stop if you are anywhere near St. Simons, GA. Keep serving smiles with America’s favorite!!!!

I just stopped here around 3PM during my break, and not knowing what to expect. I ordered the greek town burger which was out of this world, the flavors were amazing to the point I can’t get enough. I think that’s the first time in decades that I ordered a burger and felt I got more than what I paid for. I ordered fries on the side, the pimento cheese appetizer, and house lemonade, all of which were perfect! Stephanie took my order, very polite, direct and fast. The food came quickly, the atmosphere was fantastic and relaxing. I’m just sad i couldn’t spend more time and money here. If you haven’t been you’re missing something amazing.

Our favorite spot for burgers and beer in the Golden Isles! If you’re a craft beer lover, chances are you’ve been disappointed in the selection in the Golden Isles. Certified Burgers & Beverage has a stellar rotating tap selection full of great craft options, which we were delighted to find! Their food is excellent. It’s simple — burgers, sandwiches, fries, tots, chips, etc with some salads and a few simple apps, like Pimento Cheese that comes with a sleeve of Ritz crackers. If you’re a vegetarian, they have a great Chickpea Fritter app and burger. We typically sit at the bar and the bartenders are always welcoming and personable. Our favorites? The Fungi Burger is fantastic and any of the burgers featured in their “Specials” menu are worth ordering! No matter what you get — make sure you get the Certified Sauce! It’s their take on a “fry sauce” and it’s the bomb. Don’t skip the milkshake, especially the Oreo. It’s worth it.

A charming cottage on the grounds of The King and Prince. There's tea, coffee, baked goods, ice cream and a gift shop. Very friendly staff. On this visit, I ordered a medium chai tea latte with oat milk and an apple turnover. My friend ordered a coffee and we enjoyed it outside by the fire pit. The chai tea was good and the apple turnover was okay, but had very little filling. $13.75 seems high for those two items, compared to other area coffee shop prices, but I assume the higher price was due to being on the hotel grounds. Large outside seating area and a play area for children. Only parking for two cars.

Nestled in Pier Village, the Georgia Sea Grill is a casually refined restaurant that takes pride in its locally sourced seafood and seasonal American dishes. Under the ownership of Zack Gowen, the restaurant has been relocated to a larger and brighter space, offering an extensive wine list and a farm-to-table menu.
The crab bisque was very good and filling. I would highly recommend this appetizer. The fried shrimp had a very smooth corn meal based batter and perfectly fried. The shrimp were large in size but very tender. The oysters were an appetizer but there were enough to be considered a small plate or meal. The service was very friendly. Very nice romantic atmosphere. The biggest let down was their pecan pie which was very thin on filling.

Wow, so good! The service was impeccable, the menu had a wide selection of various cuisines, and the wine/cocktails list was great. It's a great atmosphere, nicely appointed, warm and friendly, and comfortable. We went while visiting for our anniversary and would definitely go back. The pics are the hush puppy appetizer, the carpaccio appetizer, the flounder entrée, and the lamb chops. Would definitely recommend if visiting St Simon Island!

Nice local gem in the heart of St. Simons Island! After receiving many recommendations, we visited Georgia Sea Grill. Initially, we were overwhelmed by the smell of the bar area. We decided to push through and I’m glad we did. Cocktails were underwhelming, but after a failed attempt at a round of cocktails, we switched to beer and bottled water, which was cold and lovely. Since moving to the area, I still haven’t gotten used to the taste of the water, so I was glad to see they offer bottled water. We ordered the crab hush puppies as an appetizer. We weren’t told about Happy Hour, or we would have probably tried some of those options as well. The people next to us at the bar tried them and they looked good! The hush puppies were a mix between a hush puppy and a crab cake, then deep fried. Not bad! For my entree, I had the golden tilefish and it was wonderful. The set up for the fish was really nice and flavorful, as well. Here’s where it gets good! My husband has talked about the buttermilk pie his great grandmother would make since I met him, so you can only believe the look of excitement on his face when he saw it on the menu. This dose of nostalgia made his evening. We will most likely return and perhaps will try making a reservation for a table instead of sitting in the bar area.

My partner and I went on a trip to St Simons Island recently and a quick google search for a new restaurant for us to try lead us here. First off, the atmosphere regarding the interior of the restaurant felt very cozy. The dim lights bought a very intimate/romantic feeling as you dine in. We were sat at a table that was in middle of the dining room which was unfortunately right next to a very large and loud group of people (which I’m not blaming the restaurant for). There were not many walls to watch the the sounds of the conversing peoples and there was also no music to set the tone (or there was and the group we were sat next to were so loud that we couldn’t hear the music). Otherwise, everything else was fine. The service rendered was excellent. Our waitress was very knowledgable on the menu and also educated us on their fish specials for the night. She was very personable, respectful, helpful (and funny). Finally, the food; chef’s kiss. I started with the Creamy crab soup w/ chives while my partner had the fork and knife caesar salad. Both our appetizers came out quickly. The soup was absolutely delicious; it was creamy, slightly spicy, rich in flavor, and it was the perfect amount of soup for me. My partner’s salad was a stalk of romaine lettuce topped w/ Parmesan cheese and lightly coated w/ sauce along with a side of very flat, heavily crisped cheddar (which was odd and he didn’t like very much). As he says, his salad was still tasty. For the Entrée, I ordered the herb crusted rack of lambs while my partner ordered the seared scallops w/ sweetcorn risotto; both dishes *chef’s kiss*! I ordered my lamb medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked and succulent. The flavor was astonishingly perfect and with every bite I took I could just feel the love put into the dish. It also came with baby onions, cauliflower and baked scalloped potatoes. Everything on that dish was to my liking besides the cauliflower which had a roasted flavor I was super into. The seared scallops were delicately cooked and nicely soft. The risotto was tasty as well. Everything on my partner's dish was perfect except for the collard greens which had a resilient smell of vinegar and a very bitter taste. Yes when we come back to the Island we will definitely be coming back here and recommending this place to our friends and family!

From entrance to dessert, April made sure our 20th anniversary dinner was exquisite. The food and wine were amazing; some of the best I have ever had, and I have traversed countries. Many applause and four thumbs up!

Georgia Sea Grill is my very favorite upscale restaurant because the menu is unique, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere in the piano bar area is perfect for a date night or special occasion. I usually order the day's special and it never disappoints. I also like the pan roasted fresh catch and the chocolate cheesecake. We've had a different server at each visit and all of them have been excellent. Reservations are not required, but recommended.
Brandi H — Google review
Georgia Sea Grill was recommended to us by a local friend, he raved about how this was his favorite restaurant in town, and boy did it meet my expectations! Our server was a younger, handsome guy who was very knowledgeable on the menu, offered an opinion when we discussed being in between two entree choices, and remained friendly throughout our dinner. We enjoyed the crab stuffed hush puppies, pan roasted fresh catch of the day, grilled filet, and don’t forget the coconut chocolate chip pie. This restaurant is classic upscale dining, with an extensive menu, and beautiful ambience. Don’t leave St Simon’s without stopping into Georgia Sea Grill.

We hosted a group of about 60 people here. They gave us the left side of the restaurant. Everything from the beginning to end was perfect. The service was top notch, the food was outstanding! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Can not say enough good things about this place

Diners can enjoy classic dishes such as brick-oven pizza, pasta, antipasto with prosciutto and cheeses, as well as braised short ribs over goat cheese ravioli.
Super friendly! Food was outstanding if k! Gorgonzola pizza was unbelievable truly! Who would have thought to make a crust with cauliflower and put grapes on the pizza! The Basil-gin Rikki hit the spot. The cannoli beat the famous Mike’s Bakery of the North End in Boston.

Let us congratulate the efforts made by individuals providing delicious handmade pasta dishes, wine/libations and delightful customer service because Tramici has done it all. My group enjoyed their meals and our pleasant server was knowledgeable. Atmosphere is contemporary causual, so bring yourself, family or friends for an enjoyable meal. Ample seating is available for parties of 4 or less whether its a booth, table or at the central bar. Call ahead for larger groups. Pricing is comparable to similar restaurants serving Italian cuisine. Plenty of free parking exists around the building as this place located in quaint shopping center.

I love this place! My dish was super fly. The pizza was great, too! I ordered a shrimp piccata, and I got an exotic seasoning free of charge. Even the fly was free!

Lovely and casual atmosphere, very good choices on the menu that all sound very modern and delicious. I had the special they were running that was balsamic marinated skirt steak with risotto and it was AWESOME. Desserts were also incredible! Tiramisu and canolis were our choices. You have to try the tiramisu! Our server Marley was so kind and helpful, talked so well with our child too. I really admire that in a server 💗 thank you guys so much!

My wife and I were in town for a conference and decided to have dinner at Tramici. I ordered the chop—either lamb or pork (I honestly can’t remember)—but whatever it was, it was fantastic. For the first time ever, I ended up with a dish my wife liked more than her own. She ordered the ravioli, which was definitely more creative than traditional. While I thought it was well-prepared, she tends to prefer more classic flavors and wasn’t a big fan. That said, the quality was still there—it just came down to personal preference. Overall, we both enjoyed the experience. Great food, inviting atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend Tramici to anyone visiting the area.

I returned to this restaurant from when I visited the area 11 years ago. I recounted to Katelyn, our server what happened 11 years ago that when the manager found out we were recently married, she comped our meal. Katelyn loved the story and gave us the excellent service, recommendations and meal that was the best meal we had while on the island. Katelyn is a true gem and she made our meal even more special when she said since we were celebrating an anniversary she sent dessert home for the four of us to enjoy. This restaurant and Katelyn are wonderful. Visit soon. You will not be disappointed.

We always enjoy a night out at Tramici. The dining room is lovely with a lively central bar. Servers and bartenders are true professionals. The food is spot on. Everything is delicious from appetizers to salads, entrees, and desserts. Wonderful wine selection. Highly recommend this Italian gem.

The restaurant is very nice, the lunch menu is small in comparison to the dinner but the food was delicious. Especially the pizza. Definitely a must try. Although our server did not stand out we had a good time and will be back.

Guests can choose to dine indoors or enjoy the spacious deck and covered patio with live music and entertainment. The restaurant's full bar serves beer, wine, and popular dishes like the mahi fish sandwich and fried catfish alongside non-seafood options and appetizers.
I had the catfish with mac and cheese, a side salad, and hush puppies—and let me just say, everything was incredible. The catfish was huge—honestly the biggest I've ever seen—and it was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and even the salad was fresh and flavorful. But the hush puppies? Hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. Our server, Audrey, was also amazing—so friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. She made the experience even better. If you’re anywhere near St. Simons, do yourself a favor and eat at Mullet Bay!

This was my first visit to Mullet Bay. Normally, the restaurant is busy, but this is the off-season for tourists. Nice atmosphere and service. I had Lobster Bisque, Fried Oysters and Shrimp platter with French fries and a side salad. The fried Oysters were very good. I recommend the Greek salad dressing. We will return soon to try other items on the menu.

It was a local’s recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. Husband ordered blackened shrimp poboy with bourbon brussel sprouts and I had chicken pesto sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were good choices hence the photo 😆. Paige was an attentive server.

4 of us came here 3 times during our stay and it quickly became a favorite for us. However, in all my life we have never been treated so rudely by the waitress on our 3rd visit. She basically told us we shouldn't be sitting at the table that the host told us to sit at. She continued to argue with us when we tried to tell her we were there two other nights and sat at the same table without incident. Robin the waitress that night who we will call "Karen" went in to report us to the manager. to make things worse, the manager acted the same way and followed up by saying, but it's ok, you can stay. Who would stay after that? We closed our bill and left. What should have been done was NOTHING. The manager should've told the waitress it was a mix up on their part and just let it go. They cost themselves customers. Planned to have a nice dinner there tomorrow night but w certainly won't be after this.
Kim S — Google review
Food lacks any flavor. For almost $30 a plate I would at least expect some sort of seasoning or even butter on grilled shrimp. The only saving grace was the amount of flavor on the brussel sprouts. But no where near able to save the rest of the experience. The fried shrimp even completely lacked seasoning. And someone needs to check the water. Tasted straight out of the ocean.
Bryan S — Google review
We were a group of 15, and our server handled everything like a champ! Drinks, appetizers, mains, everything came out correct, and she followed up with us each time asking if we needed anything. I wish I had gotten her name, but forgot to ask and just enjoyed the night. Food was great too, many of us got local seafood choices, while others had salads or chicken. It was all really good and timely with a group our size. Highly recommend for great service, good food and drinks too!

The casual eatery overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway and St. Simons Sound, making it an ideal spot for a delightful dining experience by the water.
We like to find new water front restaurants, and needed a place to meet friends from north Florida. This was half way and we were fortunate it was! The food was excellent. The shrimp and sausage gumbo was excellent. The grouper sandwich was just as good, and the chicken salad wrap was great. The only issue is parking. The restaurant is in a busy marina so you might search for parking

So delicious in a fresh atmosphere and excellent service. So many scrumptious seafood options from oysters to lobster and crab ravioli. One of our friends is allergic to seafood and they were super mindful to her needs. I highly recommend.

Had my Mom’s 90th birthday in the event space at CC. All planning done with Christie who made the process flawless. Raves from a group of 25. Room was spectacularly decorated and personalized. She made us feel special and welcome. Food was delicious with Avery serving the bar and helping Christie. It could not have gone better. I would highly recommend for any special occasion. They will over deliver.

Passing by on a trip and wanted to stay with a local place for food and found this hidden gem off St Simon island! I kept it simple and got a burger but from the other guests the seafood options looked amazing! The burger was cooked perfectly! I sat outside and the weather was great and view was even better! Definitely a nice little place off the main strip for a dinner!

Amazing dinner experience with the best views of a marina! Been to plenty of seafood restaurants, and this is up there! Very fresh seafood, hometown service, but the views and quality of the food sold it for us! We tried all sorts of dishes, and everything was great, but standouts were the blackened redfish, oysters, and crab soup. Omg, that soup was so light and different than the traditional heavy crab soup you come to expect. The views from the patio deck at sundown were amazing, but there's also plenty of inside seating for the hot days. One of the nicer restaurants in the area. Expect to pay $35-45 per with seafood and drinks. Definitely highly recommend and will be a go to place for out of town visitors.

We were looking for a nice seafood restaurant around Jekyll and St. Simons. Everyone near the beaches were all full and parking was difficult to find. So we kept driving before heading home. We found this resto on google maps and it had good reviews. Our food came on time and service was great. The food was delicious and the servings were generous as pictured. This is a must try. I am glad google reviews exist cuz it definitely helped my decisions that’s why I leave reviews here as well hoping to help people especially those that are not locals like our family.

The Coastal Kitchen was truly breathtaking. The picturesque boats, the enchanting sea grass, and the captivating walkway left us in awe. The culinary experience was equally extraordinary. Our family savored the delectable delights of grits, fried Georgia shrimp, and Georgian trout, and each dish surpassed our expectations. However, the pinnacle of our dining experience was undoubtedly the dessert, highlighted by the best pecan pie I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.

Jannie served us and was the sweetest most patient person. She was slammed and we had a big group and she never faltered with attitude and professionalism. Mixed reviews on the food. Casual place with what looked to be a fair number of locals coming in after we arrived around 545 on a Sunday. They handled small children well and appeared to be dog friendly at the outside seating. Happy hour (till 6) worked to our advantage with buck a shuck oysters (although a little small). Fried oysters were good, the slaw was very good, but the shrimp and grits were soupy and overly salted. The hush puppies had little flavor. The burger was ordinary and light on the cheese. The service was good for us but the place was not busy until we were leaving.
Richard B — Google review
The worst dining experience we’ve had. We arrived after the lunch rush, and while talking to the hostess to check in for a table a server carrying a drink couldn’t be more annoyed that my toddler wasn’t moving fast enough to get out of her way to deliver the beverage outside. There’s a handful of tables in there and a few open, she tells us it’s a 30 minute wait. That’s fine, we go kill some time outside. She calls and sits us at the same table that’s been available since we first got there. Okay, maybe they’re short staffed- I used to work in restaurants so I get it. Upon ordering crab legs we find out they are out of crab legs (the entire reason we chose this place was for that) The tables have dwindled down and we are one of just a few eating, but our food still takes an hour to get out The bathrooms are filthy and smell like urine The combo platter was rotten. My husband had scallops on a plate for the toddler and told me to taste it beforehand bc the one he just ate tasted off. It was still raw. I grabbed a shrimp to taste instead and the smell of it made my stomach turn. I ordered a chicken sandwich and ended up sick shortly after leaving. I just assume my chicken and his seafood were cooked together since they were both blackened. The platter was comped, our server was apologetic over the experience.
Sarah T — Google review
Please don’t eat here. Beer recommendation was not good, the fish dip app came out after the food and was just a block of cheese melted w some fish, hardened right up so we couldn’t eat it. Ordered the boil, then was told they’re out of sausage and the crab was extra. Idk it didn’t hit for us and I had high hopes

I had a good chat with the owner while checking out his fish tanks of sea life, really neat experience to come across an owner and heart of the business and have a good conversation, it was late so he also made his way to our table to conversate with my husband and teenage daughter. The food was great, but came out 20 minutes apart from my other family members food... The owner said he is working on his kitchen staff with proper timing, and unfortunately the food timing and lateness is the only complaint I have for them.I hope the owner reads this,so he understands he's got a great thing going. But for someone who waits an hour between husband and daughters dinners coming out when there is an empty restaurant around us and the owner is making good conversation, instead of apologizing and offering my husband a free beer you should have comped my no meat salad that took an hour and a half to make.
Friction V — Google review
Such a disappointment for our last dinner while in Saint Simons. There were not a lot of people in the restaurant, but we were seated in that bar area. Finally the hostess came to check on us and sent a waitress over to take orders. We had been there long enough to know what we wanted for dinner, but we were not given that option. Drinks ordered with some starters. The beer took a while and the soup came out one at a time. The dozen baked oysters came out six at a time. All of these items were delicious and we got to eat in shifts. When my main course - conch fritters came out, the outside was burnt, and the in side was not fully cooked. Again all this food came out in shifts, so some of us were waiting for others to finish eating. We have eaten here before- and were very disappointed this time around.
Tracy W — Google review
The food was amazing. Rudy is an amazing oyster shucker and a very personable man. The guy that sat near us at the bar was trying to start trouble so we didn't get much time there to enjoy our afternoon. He obviously was a regular and intoxicated. It could have been handled better but instead the bartender allowed us to leave without hesitation. Very sad that it had to come to that because it was our first time there.
Lisa S — Google review
We sat for nearly 2 hours and never received most of our food. The excuse was people were ahead of us and the kitchen is backed up. That is understandable but customers sitting in the restaurant ready to pay and eat should be first priority. Our waitress was amazing though this was not her fault at all, again she was great. Management obviously has zero control over the kitchen and this needs to be addressed.

We stopped in on Saturday after visiting relatives on the island and although it was a holiday weekend (Independence Day) we only waited a short time (less than 30 minutes) to be seated at 6:30 in the evening. We ordered the Spinach Dip and it was very good - although maybe a couple extra pieces of bread would be helpful - ran out of bread before dip. We had the Holy Shitake Pie and oh my it was delicious!

Everything was fantastic even the staff especially our waitress!!! Nancy was pleasant and introduced my wife to the chocolate swirled cheesecake. The only complaint i would are the drinks the bartender was making.. maybe ease up on the club soda some..both of my drinks tasted more of club soda for what ordered. Overall I would recommend this facility....it was great!

We stumbled upon Frederica House after attempting to dine at another local restaurant that closed early for a private event and we’re so glad we did! This place certainly caters to a mature crowd. The friendly folks seated with us at the bar told us they would refuse to go there for years until they were also “old”. My husband is in his 50s and I’m in my 30s. We wouldn’t have noticed the older crowd had someone not pointed it out. The rustic atmosphere is charming. You don’t see much of that on the island, so it was a fun change of pace. It reminded us of one of our favorite family-owned restaurants back in Virginia, where we moved here from. The highlights - The broiled scallops are incredible and very lightly seasoned, which I liked. I’ve eaten a lot of Georgia shrimp since I’ve been here and I wasn’t crazy about their broiled shrimp. It wasn’t bad. It’s just a personal preference. My husband had it fried and enjoyed it. Next time, I’ll just get the scallops. The cheese grits were great. My husband said the fried oysters were the best he’s had since we moved here! Standard cocktails. Nothing fancy. Beer is cold with frosted mugs, which is a nice plus. Last but not least, don’t skip dessert. Get the chocolate peanut butter pie. You won’t regret it. My husband doesn’t even like chocolate and he devoured it. We’d come back just for this!

We emailed to make a reservation and recieved a reply within the hour. We were seated upstairs and loved the quieter option and great view of the restaurant. The story on the cover of the menu wxplaining the wood walls was very interesting. Our server was great and everything came out quickly and correct. The fried shrimp was our favorite. We also tried fried scallops and chicken alfredo. The breadstick that came with the pasta was really yummy.

My whole family absolutely loved this place! We made a reservation ahead of time just to be safe but probably didn’t need to. The staff was super friendly and they have a great selection of food. They have the best hush puppies on the island and I highly recommend them to everyone! Steak was cooked great and the crab cake was amazing as well! Would definitely go again!

Started with the Seafood Gumbo - wonderful! A bit spicy for some but I loved it. Scallops were likely breaded and cooked perfectly. Hamburger steak came with plenty of mushrooms. Filet was charred and a bit overcooked Would not order this again.

Celebrating my wife's 32 years with the Civil Service and visiting my mom I wanted to give the Frederica House a try. Our waitress Lisa was wonderful, she brought out our drinks and a bowl of hush-puppies while we made our decision, the hush-puppies are very delicious. Both my wife and son wanted the Alaskan King crab legs but they were out of them. So after a quick review of the menu again, my wife ordered steak-n- scallops and a house salad. My son ordered a 8oz filet, baked potato and carrots (he wanted green beans but they was out of them also). My Mom went with the 6oz petite filet, baked potato and house salad. I had the 14oz NY strip house salad and cheese grits. My wife said her scallops need to be more seared on both sides and her steak was bland with no seasoning (she asked for steak sauce). Both My mom and son was in the same boat with their meals stating the steak needed seasoning. With that said their steaks were all cooked the way they ordered them. I ordered my NY strip blackened so it was flavorful and cooked just right. Lisa surprised my wife with a slice of cheese cake and congratulated her for her 32 years of service. Since she had dessert we also ordered Key lime pie, chocolate and peanut butter pie and chocolate brownie with ice cream. The meal in a whole was good, some seasoning on the steaks during cooking would have went a long way.

Beachcomber BBQ & Grill is a rustic counter-service joint located on St. Simons Island, known for its delicious BBQ fare and homemade sides. Featured on Food Network, this barbecue shack offers a wide variety of grill favorites such as hot dogs, smoked turkey, and hamburgers. The slow-cooked BBQ specialties include chicken, ribs, and pork, complemented by freshly squeezed lemonade.
We always visit Beachcomber at least once during our stay at the King and Prince. You smell the bbq basically all day, so it's hard to miss! It's a great beach bbq restaurant, very convenient with fast service. We end up getting something different every time but it's always great. We normally walk here but parking will be a challenge if you plan to drive.

Don't let the looks of this place fool you! Such a cool vibe and delicious food, served hot! We came for a late lunch so it was pretty quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If there's one thing I really appreciate, it's my food being served hot. We both got the 2 meat plate and you get 2 sides. My husband got brisket and ribs with Mac and cheese, and sweet potato tots. I got ribs and pulled pork with delicious, flavorful, and meaty baked beans, and Brunswick stew. The stew was wonderful and so hot I almost burned my mouth on the first bite. We both enjoy bbq and this food is up there with the best. Bravo! 👏👏

Great food, good drinks, great local place.... had the smoked chicken with two sides and it was delicious!

We had a great experience. The atmosphere is laid back, the pulled pork and smoked chicken both get 5 stars. The staff were attentive and engaging. You would not regret dining here! There are many dining options on the island but if you if want a great BBQ, this is your best option.

Simple food, nice patio seating. A little pricier than I would like for what it is, but even having said that, I loved my turkey & bacon sandwich on the toasted/grilled sourdough.

The grandkids came in for a visit. This is there favorite place to dine. I do believe the bbq sauce is off the charts good! Good food! Good people! Good bbq sauce! Stop in... You won't regret it! FIVE STARS ACROSS THE BOARD!!!

The turkey is not the same as it once was. My husband and I, before he passed away earlier this year, would come and get the super bird sandwich, it was so good! Yum! My husband would turn over in his grave if he knew the turkey didn’t taste the same. I still love Beachcombers! I will see you again when I come back into town in a few months.

Ribs were really tender & meaty. The rub was very good. Maybe slightly too salty but I like salt anyway. Baked beans were delicious!! They had little crunchy bits of green pepper in them along with a little pulled pork. I surprisingly really liked the crunchy pepper in it. The Pulled pork was super tender and not fatty at all! The Cole slaw was also a win!! Definitely the way we like our slaw! Fresh, creamy and simple. The Brunswick stew was very yummy too. It was my first time having it, so I don't have any other to compare it to, yet.... The young man that took our order was patient and helpful in deciding what to order. I really appreciate that, as I like most food and want to try what they make really well our different.

Sushi restaurant
Nestled within the vibrant Longview shopping center at 307 Longview Plaza Drive, Tara Thai & Sushi is a charming eatery that beckons diners to enjoy its inviting atmosphere. Guests can choose between cozy indoor seating or bask in the fresh air on the colorful patio adorned with cheerful red umbrellas. This unique spot stands out as St.
We looked for a sushi spot in St. Simon’s Island to go to on our day trip, and landed on Tara’s. I’m not the biggest sushi fan, but I LOVE Thai food, so this was the perfect spot for us. My partner and son got sushi, which they said was really good. I got the drunken noodles, and our 5 year old got chicken and rice. I should point out that they do not have a kids menu, so we had to order a regular portion of rice, and then bring the rest home. Totally fine with me, because I was the one who got to eat it the next day 😁 The drunken noodles were amazing, as well as the rice that I tried the next day. I was too hungry to take a photo of our cream cheese wonton appetizer, but it was some of the best wontons I’ve had. Our server was great as well and memorized our large order without writing it down! Highly recommend! **Sushi pictured is Tempura Shrimp, Sakura, 911, and Broken Heart.

I honestly can't rave enough about this restaurant! It was so good that I had to order the same meal to go. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the pineapple curry fried rice with no egg and the spring rolls...AMAZING! 😍 If I ever visit St. Simon Island again this will definitely be my first stop. I'm so happy to leave a positive review about this restaurant. Between the hostess/server and the bartender...superb ladies!

The Thai food at this restaurant is not authentic; it's Americanized and should be avoided. The one positive aspect was the excellent service from our waitress. Thai food is usually a safe choice among Asian cuisines, but this place somehow missed the mark. The "Drunken Noodles" were overly sweet, a stark departure from the typical savory and spicy profile. The noodles were also undercooked and tough, so I couldn't even finish the dish. The Tom Yum Goong soup was more savory than sour, which completely defeats the purpose of the soup. It seems they've Americanized their food and cut corners, failing to provide an authentic dining experience to the locals.

Super tasty food here. Always tastes fresh. The Volcano Chicken is one of our favorites to get. As a sushi fan myself, I tried the Broken Heart Roll today and it was incredible. Would certainly recommend!

Huge shout out to our girls who make the best drink!!!! Nicole, Courtney and Lindsey. Also, the sushi here is the best on planet earth!! Shout out to Yo, Apple and Matt. If you have never tried this place, make sure you do. Service is amazing and the food is just as good.

Great local spot to get some good Thai food. Warming Massaman curry with adjustable heat level and served with rice. Thai fried rice is crave-able and delicious. Also ordered cream cheese rangoons which were good but may try another app next time. Quick and kind service. Plenty of parking.

Would always recommend! We had dumplings as appetizer and 4 different sushi rolls. Everything was absolutely fresh and tasted fabulous. The different kinds of rolls we chose paired up well and we were 100% satisfied. The waiter was very friendly, always at hand, but never in our business which made us feel very comfortable. Very clean place and nice people. Thank you for the great experience.

Ember Farm to Fire is a delightful culinary destination that invites you into a world of globally-inspired flavors and cozy ambiance. With its locally-crafted wood-fired oven, Ember enhances the taste of each dish with beautiful charring and delicate smoky notes. The menu is ever-changing, showcasing fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers and fishermen while drawing inspiration from Italian, French, and Southern cuisines.
Ember - Farm to Fire My son brought me to Ember as part of my Christmas gift and I must say it is in the top running for best gift ever. We did have reservations and they are easy to make on their website. We arrived during one of their live music events so we got entertained while eating this amazing meal. The set up is pretty unique, when you walk in you see their amazing wood oven and it definitely caught my eye. It’s beautiful and functional art that helps them create their pizzas. Behind that you get a great view of the kitchen and the rest is the main dining room. To the right is a separate room that is made up of a bar, a pool table, and some lounging couches. To the left of the dining room is the outdoor patio area. This is where we sat. Appetizers was such a tough call. Every single item sounded so delicious. We decided on the meatballs and the bread with black garlic and EVOO. The meatballs were the best I have ever had. They were soft and full of flavor and covered in a homemade marinara. The balance of the sweetness in the sauce was perfect, which is hard to do in a restaurant setting. I find sauces from restaurants too sweet. If Hansel and Gretel were real they would prefer a house made of these meatballs every day! The bread was spectacular. I bake my own bread at home and I was so impressed with the bread. It had the texture and floof of a standard bread loaf but the flavor of a ciabatta. Glazed with butter and topped with flakey sea salt it was absolutely perfect, dipping it in their olive oil with black garlic was out of this world for my taste buds. They may never move on and accept my standard bread recipe now that they had that. When our mains came out I was already feeling full. However, we each ordered the 14 oz steak and I’m not about to bring that home. I’m not sure the picture does it justice. The steak is paired with fingerling potatoes and sautéed mushrooms and all is covered with a sauce, I’m not sure what kind of glitter (metaphorical glitter…magic) they put in that sauce but it was this magical thing, as if a au jus and a Demi-Glacé had a baby. To make things even better I am still confused on the cut of beef it actually was. It had the beautiful flavor and tenderness of a ribeye but without the fat and the muscle texture was even. On the drive home me and my son determined that whatever cow was used it led a happy existence and had to have been extremely relaxed when processed. Somehow I don’t think the farm will change their slogan to reflect that but it was in fact, the best steak I’ve ever had and I can cook a perfect steak. Now the hard part of the meal came, dessert. Every single one sounded amazing but I had already eaten a weeks worth of meat and carbs and my diabetes and fullness did not allow me to even consider another bite. So of course I ordered dessert to go and this morning, when I woke up I had my insulin ready because there was no way I wasn’t going to not eat the fried poundcake with berries and whipped cream to start my day the same way I ended yesterday, with fabulous food. So all that to say, get out and try Ember Farm to Fire. You won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding and interesting dishes, fabulous service....wonderful atmosphere.... absolutely can't wait to return! Huge beverage selection as well as apps/main dishes/sides... We thoroughly enjoyed the chicharrones, baked brie, and roasted root vegetables, as well as the fish of the day and short rib dishes. WOW! Wish we had made room for dessert! Cannot miss this gem!

I enjoyed the tuna appetizer and the egg roll appetizer. There is a vegetarian entre which is quite nice, but I would say it is an acquired taste and somewhat eclectic. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, although it is somewhat dark. I would come back for the appetizers, although I'm not sure what entree I'd recommend.

We chose this place to have a nice dinner back in August, and we made the right choice. Every dish we had was incredible, and the decor and ambiance were perfection. We were lucky to have the entire back room to ourselves, which was really a shame, because this restaurant is so good it should always be packed. I hope to return the next time I find myself down on the island!

The front door to this restaurant is amazing. It is a portal actually. When outside you are standing in a shopping center. A strip mall that looks like thousands of other strip malls around. Whenever the portal opens and you enter you are transported to a fine dining experience. There is a large beautiful wood fired oven a blaze. The place is so nice it makes me feel under dressed. It is only the staff and customers already seated that we feel comfortable. Our server provided some of the best service we have had on St Simon's. The food was wonderful. We had steak and a pizza of course after seeing that beautiful wood fired oven. The descriptions of the food on the menu was extremely accurate . Everything was first class. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle that is St Simon's this is a great place to go. We cannot wait to come back.

The restaurant provides a relaxed environment with fast-paced service, allowing guests to enjoy sushi rolls, hibachi fare, and other Japanese dishes.
I was on the hunt for some delicious hibachi and sushi and I came to the right place!! Prices are a little higher than normal but definitely worth it, the staff was super friendly and helpful with questions about the menu. There’s kind of limited seating so if you go when they are busy you will have to wait 10-20 mins and there’s also outdoor seating.

Fantastic experience. The food came out quickly and was great! We ordered a few different rolls and appetizers, and each one was awesome. Don't think there's a bad choice on the menu. The servers were friendly and amazing, and had great recommendations. Could not be happier with our choice to go eat here!!

Well, what can I say. I was impressed. I didn’t expect much of it but the food was outstanding. Service was 5 stars. You might be wondering why the service was 5 stars? I’ll tell you, the servant remember all of the 7 orders, modicum rare, well done etc. no note pad notes. Anyways, food, service and prices were beyond my expectations. 5 stars !

Best sushi on the island. We enjoy the Brunswick location and decided to check this one out. We were hoping for some variation in the menu from the BWK location, but it’s about the same. It’s a little loud inside when it’s busy, but the atmosphere is definitely better than the BWK location. Service was good, but not great. We’ll definitely visit again.

the server was very nice but this was genuinely the worst sushi and hibachi we’ve ever had. my bf and i had to french both of our meals in white sauce just to make it edible. would not recommend this place to anyone

We called for a big dinner to-go for a family of seven. The staff was friendly, and they prepared food on time despite being super busy. From appetizers to main dishes, from cold food to hot food, there was nothing you could complain about. WE LOVE THEM ALL! Even our dad, who doesn’t eat seafood, found something else he likes on the menu. The price for this type of good-quality Japanese food is also terrific. For example, seven pieces of fresh sashimi cost less than $12! What a good deal! Highly recommend!

I have eaten here 6 times in the last 2 months. The staff is friendly and courteous from the start, and they want to make sure everything is as you ordered and that you enjoyed the food. They bring you a complimentary bite of the Eddy Special, which is tempura battered crab with a delicious sauce over the top. They also give you complimentary house soup which had broth, mushroom and the crunchies from tempura. We enjoyed it so much we ordered a full roll! They have a great selection of standard rolls $5; 2nd tier rolls $9.75 and specialty rolls for $12.75. This is a great option for whatever price point you want stay in. I have had rolls from all 3 options, and they were crafted with the same care and expertise. I love the spicy crab salad, and the Lucky Dragon roll is my usual! I have also ordered the chicken hibachi with fried rice that was delicious., although I wish they had hibachi noodles. They offer multi roll deals and have a lunch menu too.

Most Mexican restaurants fall within a certain level, good but not great. Chili peppers is one of the rare Mexican restaurants that takes it to the next level. The menu is not much different than your classic American "cheap Mexican "restaurant but the service and food is exceptional. The margaritas are great. They have somehow figured out how to turn ground beef into a five star item. They must cook it all day because we cannot figure out how to replicate the taste . When friends come to town they always want to go somewhere unique like a seafood restaurant, but we like taking friends to chili peppers because it's so damn good .

I’m a first-time visitor, and I had an amazing time! Trey, our bartender, suggested the potato chip skillet with these house made kettle chips, and it was absolutely incredible! It was the best appetizer I’ve had in ages. I highly recommend this place - the drinks and food are both outstanding.

This was a very cute location with beautiful plants and decorations. We were met immediately by the host and sat rather quickly. We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese as an appetizer, so warm and delicious. As a group we ordered shrimp cakes, caeser salad, fish tacos, and a few drinks such as vodka and cranberry. The food was good, the atmosphere was a little overwhelming just due to the size of parties and the amount of room available. There was a Bachelorette party, families, and couples. There is also outside seating available.

This was a great choice for our first night on the island. The beer was great and the food was excellent. The fresh catch was Mahi, so the fish and chips and the fish tacos were made with delicious Mahi! The beet salad fulfilled my cravings for beets, and the added blackened chicken was perfect!!

Had a flight of their house made beers. The wheats and IPA were all good. I liked the blueberry wheat best, it was subtler than I expected. The brussel sprouts were great, interesting sauce instead of the standard balsamic reduction or glaze. The fish sandwich was grouper and tasted great. Good shoestring fries topped off the meal. The restaurant is well decorated and there's a great outfit seating area as well.

We walked into cupcake paradise! The display was overflowing with options— everything from classic favorites to creative, one of a kind flavors. My husband couldn’t decide (can you blame him?), so we went with the mini cupcake sampler pack—and wow, every single one was delicious! My favorite was the carrot cake, while my husband was obsessed with the chocoholic. The whole experience was so fun, we ended up sampling a bite of every cupcake 😄 Ashley, the owner, was incredibly warm and helpful, making the visit even more special. We only wish we were locals so we could come back all the time. If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t miss this place!

I asked for a very simple “Happy Birthday” cake for my dear husband. I will let my pictures do the talking, as I couldn’t be more disappointed. The first picture is what I initially picked up and I turned around so fast hoping they could do something to fix the cake. I asked for them to at least fix the writing to be larger and make the cake look happy… even an exclamation mark would have added something! The writing is beyond unprofessional and for a $47 cake, quite pathetic. The second and third pictures are what I then went and “re” picked up later. I could cry, it’s the saddest Birthday cake I’ve ever seen. The only saving grace is that it did taste yummy. We got a strawberry cake with lemon filling and cream cheese frosting. Unfortunately the cake is not what I would have liked to pay for. The only explanation I got in reference to the decor was “oh she’s learning” and sadly had to be my husband’s cake she’s “learning” on. Cupcakes are great but do not order any custom cake.

Very disappointed. I saw this place while visiting St. Simon's and was so excited to try it. I asked the saleslady if the red velvet cupcake had "real" cream cheese icing and she said yes. It definitely did not and that was the one I wanted to try the most. We tried 4 different cupcakes and they were ok. As a cupcake connoisseur, these looked delicious but they were unfortunately just about average. I only wrote this review because I received an email asking how the place was but there was no where to answer that question only a button offering for me to see the menu.

SO disappointed for wedding cupcakes that were ordered timely and for which were paid with multiple emails for arrangements made for delivery to wedding venue delivery of which did NOT happen. Depended upon a business to have a reminder system both technical and, perhaps on a delivery board. A refund was made but.....irresponsible for a business and very disappointing for this special occasion.

Tried the "hostess" style cupcake today while in town for work. It was the recommended flavor from the young lady working (she said it's her favorite). It was hands down one of the moistest cupcakes I've ever had from a cupcake bakery! The icing was delicious (I don't love icing, but ate nearly all of it) and it had some cream inside too like a true hostess cupcake. the cake was so soft and fell apart as you ate it in a good way, not in a dry way. Made it super messy to eat but I'm impressed. Definitely recommend giving Smallcakes a try!
Kathryn S — Google review
So I wanted a cupcake after playing a game on my phone, yeah it was a greedy move but, I found this place that was open. I drove over to the Island and decided to try a few different options. I got carrot cake, red velvet, birthday cake, hot fudge sundae, strawberry, and cookies and cream...so here goes. The Red velvet was more like chocolate cake and red coloring but the icing was good. The carrot cake was ok but it had a lot of coconut in it. My daughter ate the strawberry and said it was good but I didn't eat much of the birthday cake or hot fudge sundae. The cookies and cream didn't get eaten at all. These were very pretty cupcakes but they didn't give me the taste I was looking for. I don't think I will be back but overall it was still a good experience. Not my kind of cupcakes but they were pretty.

Decent Mexican food - a little pricey for what it is. Avoid the house margaritas and get your meal with sides included (they're super expensive a la carte) and you'll be fine. My wife and I stopped in for lunch in December 2022. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Our server was great and offered a few suggestions and was kind enough to bring us a small sample of the house margarita. We were glad she did as we were not fans of it and opted for a margarita with better ingredients. Food was typical Mexican food, nothing that stood out. We LOVE cheese dip at most Mexican restaurants and that's usually our barometer for how the rest of the meal will be and that held true in this case as the taste was okay and the serving size was just okay and overall, the place was okay.

The Chicken Nachos and Taco Supremes were great. We also had some delicious bean dip. Service was on par as well! Very good experience!

Muy bueno! The perfect place to grab a cold beer, chips, salsa, and deliciously satisfying food. The nachos were soooooo good. Highly recommend.
Amber P — Google review
Great service. From the start the hostess was very friendly and so was our server. Food was very good. Our server was very attentive. Came as a recommendation and am glad I came. Had gone to a different Mexican restaurant and this was way better than our experience there. We had the Texas Fajitas and Mojarra Frita. Also, asked for spicy salsa and we were given some "homemade" salsa. Very good and definitely spicy which made our experience even better.

Blue Bay on St. Simons Island has an extensive authentic Mexican cuisine menu with street style tacos, empanadas, chimichangas, camarónes a la diabla, pork and chicken tamales, flautas, tostadas, enchiladas, and CHILE RELLENOS!!! They also have traditional Tex-Mex items like fully loaded burritos, quesadillas, and fajitas. Even the chips and salsa are great. The cooks grill the tomatoes and onions in house to maximize the flavor of the salsa! Overall this place is a must try if you’re in the area and love great Mexican food!
Jacob H — Google review
I thought the food was great and the street tacos were amazing. However, the service brought this restaurant down a star. First off when we ordered our cheese dip, she kept on questioning us when we ordered the large. We said again that the large would be fine and that we have the people to eat it but she still kept on saying that it was really big and that we shouldn’t get that. I understand telling us the size of it, but telling people what they can and cannot get after they told you nicely several times that what you ordered is what you would like, then it isn’t okay. Then we had to wait 10 minutes just to get our salsa, waited another 5 minutes for the cheese dip, and then had to wait another for the chips. Not to mention the place was FAR from crowded and bearely had any people there eating. I wouldn’t go there again because of the service. Shout out to the chefs though because they can cook like it is nobody’s business. They are amazing, but the terrible service ruined it.

Starbucks is a renowned coffeehouse chain based in Seattle, offering their distinctively brewed coffees, light snacks, and convenient WiFi access. Despite encountering an overwhelmingly long queue at a local coffee shop, the decision to visit Starbucks proved worthwhile as they efficiently served customers both inside and outside the store. Appreciation goes to the amiable team who skillfully prepared a flawlessly crafted shaken espresso that satisfied expectations. For those visiting the island, this particular Starbucks establishment comes highly recommended.
I recently stopped by this location during a day trip to St Simon's Island. The store is one of the cleanest and most organized Starbucks I have ever visited. The music was at the perfect volume, and not so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation. The cashier who took my order, Samantha, was friendly and engaging with me and other customers as well. She didn't treat us like a number, and was very welcoming. Great location overall. I will definitely stop by on any future visits to the island.

Hey man. This is your standard fare Starbucks but on the Island. It was a quiet Saturday. Staff was attentive and clearly knew their regulars which we were not. Food was good, not great and coffee and specialty drinks are what you would expect from Starbucks. Atmosphere: well ever since they went to their more “open air" design, I don't find them intimate or comfortable. Probably why more people use drive through than go in. On the island there are certianly other coffee shop options as well.

In an effort to goose profits, and eventually automate the barrister’s job, they are trying a single-cup brew machine that cranks out an off-tasting cup of joe. When I asked about the coffee, the only solution offered was an espresso. I have been drinking rich black coffee from SB for 30 years, and, sad to say, it may be time to move on.

While on vacation we ordered our favorite coffee and lattes for 4 days! We got fabulous customer service each day! The entire staff was super friendly no matter how busy they were and sought to ensure that we had our orders cared for. My hat off to everyone employed there as they are all customer service oriented professionals! I highly recommend this Starbucks!

After discovering The Market's daily specials in emails for five months, I decided to grab lunch before work. I opted for the Georgia Peach Chicken Sandwich without cheese and indulged in a Coconut Macaroon. The sandwich was delightful, boasting harmonious flavors, textures, colors, and seasoning. Likewise, the macaroon was airy with just the right amount of sweetness. Its appearance and texture were also spot-on for this type of dessert. A colleague suggested trying the Chipotle next time.
After seeing The Market’s daily specials for 5 months in my email I decided to pickup lunch before work today. I ordered the Georgia Peach Chicken Sandwich without cheese and 1 Coconut Macaroon. The sandwich was delicious. Perfectly paired flavors, textures, colors, and seasoning! The macaroon was light and just the right amount of sweet. The coloring and textures were on point for this type of dessert as well. The Chipotle was recommended by a coworker to order next time. All of the employees were friendly and provided excellent customer service. The Market at Sea Island is definitely worth putting on your vacation itinerary or ordering from during your work week.

Purchased the largest red velvet cake - golf theme- for a party. Everyone loved it and as I was cutting the cake I kept hearing comments about how good and/or how moist it was. I was a little worried as I have had red velvet mini desserts at Sea Island functions and didn't care for them at all. The only downside of the cake was the sprinkles they used weren't completely stuck to the icing so as I was putting the slices on the cake- they were going everywhere so cut in a location that is easy to clean up. I would definitely order this again.

Its always a delight stopping in to pickup lunch at The Market! I don't know his name but I believe the older man is the owner and probably has been for quite some time. They have such a great fresh selection I even buy some to take home and make sandwiches with later in the week. My favorite is the Greek Turkey Wrap! It absolutely explodes with flavor. He is so nice he throws in some chips after my purchase every time!!! So glad to have found this gem!

There was only one lady who smiled and made me, my grandmother, and mother feel welcomed. The lady who took my order stared blankly and acted like she was irritated. The other two cashiers were rude. They definitely never smiled at us but instead stared at us walking through the store as if we were going to steal something. I ended up purchasing two small items and told my daughter she had to put one thing back. With us being on vacation and her being 3 (and in her terrible 3’s) she handled it by crying which normally doesn’t happen unless she’s sleepy. We walked away after purchasing and I was telling her to put her item back where she got it but before we could the lady came over and took it from her hand. It felt uncomfortable. I guess those people have no experience with children. There also were a ton of gnats swarming the area. They need to spray their bushes!!! I won’t go back.

I like coffee, and I like breakfast offerings based on a family business that's been open fifty years and still going. Service was cheerful, sharp and quick. Coffee drinks were all properly prepared and we had some very picky drinkers. The food was amazing. Prices are in line for the quality and portions, which are generous. Covid-19 profiles were in place and consistently executed. Highly recommend.

Nice selection of foods, drink, and gifts. Our chicken salad sandwich on a croissant was delicious. Checkout was easy, and the employee was friendly and gracious. However, don't expect cheap eats here or bargain priced gifts. A $35 t-shirt seems extravagant.

Jittery Joe's Coffee is a trendy coffeehouse that offers a variety of microroasted brews from different parts of the world, along with an assortment of baked goods. The place is known for its delicious coffee and espresso drinks, as well as tea from the renowned Harney & Sons. Additionally, they have a lovely selection of locally baked pastries.
Super cute coffee/matcha spot! We ordered several drinks from chai, to matcha, to coffee, and everyone loved their choices! The cafe is joined to a bookstore! Genius! And the cafe is decorated with posters from classic readings. Everything was very clean and the lady who helped us was extremely friendly! When we visited the island again we are definitely coming back!

nice coffee and a relaxing atmosphere . I gave this place 5 stars. I'm dropping it to 2. Because the barista lady working there is very rude and aggressive. It's over for me, I won't go back again.

It is enjoyable to drink coffee here ! But there is a woman who works shift in the afternoon. First of all, this person needs to learn how to talk to guests. I only informed her that there was a problem with the internet. She responded with an angry tone as if she was going to fight with me. I will definitely not go there again because of that person.
Mysterious — Google review
The girls working there are extremely nice, hospitable, and deserve 20 stars if possible! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they only brew the same two types of coffee every single day, and its not possible to sample any other of the multiple coffees they sell by the pound before buying, so its a roll of the dice. And since they cost over 20 bucks, its nice to know what you are buying. Thats not by choice of the staff. I do love the artistic designs on the coffee cans.
Suzanne — Google review
A hidden gem on SSI. Rarely a line and good coffee attached to a wonderful little bookstore. Even morning coffee runs are fast because many visitors are unaware since it’s not on the main drag. Excellent warm, flakey croissants baked onsite and other treats. Lots of flavor offerings, too. It’s become our go-to since no one wants to wait for their morning coffee. That said, if you go at 10am there may be a line but not early mornings in our experience. You can sit inside or outside there, too.
Alison R — Google review
I always go for the Crackachino and add sugar to taste: it’s amazing! I’ve also tried several other drink options and all their pastries over time. Staff is warm and welcoming. Always been pleased and will continue returning!
J M — Google review
I moved to the area a month ago and I love coffee shops. The options around here are abysmal. I like to sit and write on Sunday afternoons. I thought I had finally found a place. The coffee is okay, the ambiance is a bit like I'd expect a coffee shop inside a gas station to be but what really turned me off and made me leave without tipping (maybe only the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever done that in my life) was when the barista was bragging to the only other customer in the shop about stealing. She was talking about wanting some new sunglasses and said she'd probably just steal some from Target. She told him she likes to steal from "corporate stores" and even if she has the money she'll still steal little things just to do it. It's funny. I've fought for human rights and social justice my whole life. I used to boycott left and right but then after traveling the world for the past decade and seeing true poverty and true need in the world I've become more careful about picking my battles. I've lived in the world's 16th poorest nation, I've volunteered helping war refugees, the list goes on and on. I've learned you just can't fight all the fights. There's too much wrong with the world. But you know a fight I am willing to fight? I won't support a business whose employee openly brags about stealing. Simple lesson in economics: theft makes stores raise their prices. You may think you're being cute and really "sticking it to the man" but what you're really doing is raising prices for the rest of us. I worked in food service for years and I owned my own coffee shop for five years. For me, ME, to not tip it has to be serious. The other day a server in a restaurant brought me the wrong meal and when I politely asked for the correct meal he rolled his eyes at me and I still tipped him. Plus, there are some things you just shouldn't talk about in public because you never know who might be listening. Bragging about stealing is one of those things. Jittery Joe's is now off my list of places to hang out on Sunday afternoons.
Devidyal G — Google review
Staff was friendly and efficient. The flavored coffee that I had lacked any “flavor”. The owners need to provide staff with more flavorful options. I am not a Starbucks fan and love to support local businesses. Maybe I just hit on an off day.

I needed some almond milk to make matcha lattes while staying at the Ocean Lodge and googled grcoery stores near me. I called and was greeted by a friendly woman who gave me walking directions (less than .5 miles). When we arrived, somehow she knew that I was the caller (timing, my unfamiliar face?) Lol! I don't know how she knew but she was pleasant and even down-charged (I think I just made that up) my ice cream cone since I asked for small scoops the next day. The selection is small but it's not meant for heavy duty shopping but perfect for convenience. She also sells a selection of homemade casseroles. The store is small, clean and orderly with snack items, soft drinks, and souvenirs (beach towels, shirts, etc.). I recommend to visitors who need items that they were not able to travel with, or who just want an ice cream cone and a friendly face!

Went in a week ago with some girlfriends for lunch. The menu is huge. Our food was fast and their wine selection was great for a beachy casual place. I had the soft shell crab it was great. It's next on my list for a date night, & it was perfect for afternoon lunch with the girls.

This was what I had to call the worst dining experience of my life. We started with the fried green tomatoes. They would have had no flavor to them at all if it weren't for the horseradish dip they were served with. On to the entrees. I had the shrimp and grits which were completely saturated in oil. My wife had the fried shrimp which were more batter than shrimp and again, completely saturated in oil. On to the sides. The plain rice and coleslaw were good. The fries and corn were, again, coated in a layer of oil. My wife had to spit out her corn because she got sick to her stomach. The bread they served was hard and almost flavorless. Now to the best part. After deciding we were not going to try and eat another bite, I spoke to the manager about our experience. She looked at me like I had grown two heads and told me there was nothing wrong with the food. I asked for the check and informed her we would never be returning to the establishment. She never offered any apologies or showed any concern for my disappointment. I paid the full amount of the bill and exited. My warning to anyone thinking of dining here: don't.

We stayed at St Simons Island for a week, and this place was half the cost of the other restaurants in similar locations. The food was wonderful, with the Carnitas succulent and the steak burrito superb. Service was fast, the manager, David, attentive and we actually took food home for the next day.... Try that at any other island eatery. Well done.

Great place, not so great on exterior. Very helpful server, sit upstairs and enjoy the view. Great collection of nostalgia.

Very nice spot but the food lacked flavor. The fried platter was not up to par and the salmon patties were bland. The hamburger steak was the one plate finished at our table. For drinking, probably a great place. For eating, skip.
Tyler R — Google review
Not impressed by the food at this establishment. The service is lackluster, and the pina coladas are very weak. The muscles were so salty that I only ate 10 of them before feeling like I was licking a block of salt. My wife's cheese burger had no cheese and when she mentioned it to the waitress (to make sure she didn't charge us for cheese) the waitress got defensive, and said she would go get a slice and throw it on her burger. SMH Maybe it's a cool atmosphere upstairs, but we wouldn't know because our toddler was not allowed to go up there. So many better options on the island.

We stumbled upon this local coffee shop while on the way to Pier Village and couldn't be happier with the find! This little shop is tucked away above the marina. And is definitely worth making a stop for! They have a great selection of coffee, sandwiches, and snacks! We tried a couple of their lattes, the French Vanilla and the S'mores. Both were good, although the s'mores latte didn't taste much like an actual s'more. We'd definitely plan to check out some of the food options on the next visit.
Quest C — Google review
Coastal Coffee is a nice little spot if you are looking for a relaxed marina vibe. The view and atmosphere make it an enjoyable stop, and the coffee itself is solid enough for most people to enjoy. That said, if you are a true coffee snob, this probably is not the place that will wow you. My biggest gripe is that they do not serve drinks in glass or ceramic mugs, only to go cups, which takes away from the café experience. Overall, it is a pleasant stop if you want a casual coffee by the water, but not the place to go if you are chasing a high end specialty coffee experience.

Super friendly service and great value breakfast. Brunch buffet is on weekends only The country eggs were tasty and the pancakes had the perfect texture, the right balance of fluff and chew.

An underwhelming visit. Referred by a different local business just a few doors away, we went in for breakfast. Missed the breakfast window, but caught the brunch/lunch menu. The service was painfully slow and the cooks nearly matched that pace. While served in cute little cups, the coffee lacked strength or flavor. After one eternity of waiting, the food was delivered. The price to quality doesn't match in my opinion. Lucky for you, it's my opinion. If you're looking to try a new place, this might be the spot, or it might not. I'll likely pass on a repeat visit.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with family. Arrived as soon as they opened and were seated right away. Wait was long by the time we left. Looked like only 6 tables were open inside due to COVID. Atmosphere is a little “meh”. Our waitress was very sweet and on top of things. My wife and I shared the Smoked Salmon Benedict and it was good. My wife also loved the Island Mimosa with pineapple juice and coconut. My mother-in-law had the crab cake Benedict and it was a little better than ours. The salmon was slightly fishy tasting. I would get the crab cake next time. My wife’s waffle was delicious and the coffee was wonderful. My 8-year-old niece said her scrambled eggs were delicious and others said the pancakes and bacon were great. Very good experience. We would return!

Small plate with bacon eggs and French toast was $6 and it tasted great and was a great price. Also the buffet isn't bad either. The waffle with strawberries and cream is delicious too!

Excellent food and service! Cold brew coffee with sweet cream and the flounder sandwich were both excellent!

An okay option among the village Cafes, first of all a cafe without actual coffee options shouldn’t be called a “Cafe”. Black coffee was served on a to go cup. Interesting menu options but unfortunately our food wasn’t tasty and was a bit cold. Went at a peak hour so waiting time for our food was about 35 minutes. Service was good

The breakfast buffet is delicious and well-priced (I recommend the cheese grits and breakfast casserole!), and the atmosphere is very inviting. But what really makes this place great is the service; all of the staff and management are incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming -- it feels like eating at a relative's house. Really just an overall wonderful little cafe. A must-visit everytime I'm in town.

Pretty good! We came last year and had the all you can eat breakfast, which was stellar and we did not forget! We came for lunch today and my one eyed bacon cheeseburger on a croissant was the bomb! My husband got a patty melt which he did not love so he are half of my burger (which was huge!) We will definitely be back just not for the party melt.Great 😊

Local Brew Coffee Makers is a modern and welcoming cafe that offers some of the best coffee and teas on the island. The decor is sleek yet inviting, providing a comfortable atmosphere for visitors. It has become a favorite spot for those who prefer to support local coffee shops, with its excellent pour-over coffee and delicious tuna salad sandwich.
Fantastic coffee shop and cafe with excellent atmosphere, food, and drink. The pour-over coffee and the tuna salad sandwich are highlights. Great for a cup to go, or to just linger. Friendly, considerate staff, too. Highly recommended!

Good vibes and cool space. However, I popped in here for a quick take away coffee—one iced and one hot and for the two coffees is was $12. The high price is not worth the quality here. The paper straw got soggy before I could finish my drink, I hope the consider switching to the sturdier compostable straws. I also hope the quality improves because there is a lot of potential for a place like this in that particular location.

I'm not sure if this place is new, but I prefer to support local coffee shops and haven't really fallen in love with any of the ones on St. Simon's before now. I have to head to SSI for work pretty regularly, and I'm really happy to finally have a shop that I love. It was my first time here and when I visited today, the woman behind the counter informed me it was her first day and she was still learning how to make the drinks. I really appreciated her honesty rather than just flat out making my drink wrong, so I just ordered a regular drip and it was super good. Whatever roast they're using here is robust and earthy which is how I prefer my coffee. 10/10 will make this my regular shop when I'm down for work.

We always look for good coffee when traveling, this gem far exceeded our expectations. The pour over was the perfect drinking temperature, if you know coffee then you know too hot means over extracted bitter coffee. The food was well prepared and absolutely delicious, Aaron presented the Eggs Benedict wonderfully. Jason prepared the coffee perfectly. They're very welcoming and know their business. The environment is cozy, modern and eclectic while being classy. I'm not easily impressed, but I was this morning. If you're looking for decent, by all means stick to a chain. If you are looking for amazing, go see them. It'll be a regular stopping point for me when in the area moving forward. Thank you gentlemen!!!

Truly helpful staff as I never know what I want. I got a breakfast sandwich that melted in my mouth so delicious and also an iced caramel coffee latte that really hit the spot.

In it's beginning, Local Brew was a hopefully up and coming coffee shop to be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Beautiful atmosphere and delectable coffee, but the food was sub par. Since then, we have welcomed a new 5 star chef to the roster and his ability to revive the dying menu has been tested and proven. Today, Local Brew feels less like the last choice and more like the destination you have been searching for all along. Great food, coffee, personality, atmosphere, wine, and even more are on the way. If you've felt skeptical about visiting, don't be. Grab a loved one and take a load off at Local Brew.

I've been living here about 2 1/2 years now and I'm mad at myself for just now getting in to Local Brew. Great espresso drinks and a great place to just sit down and read. I haven't really had their food, but my wife has and she says it is top notch.

This shop has the best coffee in Glynn County! It is clean and attractive with a great atmosphere. If you're into the Scene and you want to be seen, Starbucks is the place for you. I'm a Native and like coffee, so this is the place for me!!
