Sucre Sale is a French bakery and cafe that is famous for its desserts. The owner, Guillaume, and his wife Paula are friendly and always happy to chat with customers. The café has an easy-to-find location just a short walk from the ferry terminal on Calle 2 between 5th and 10th avenue. Along with delicious pastries, cookies, crepes, and pies, Sucré Salé also offers great coffee.
Cozy little spot with really yummy entrees available. Everything tasted fresh and healthy. They’ve got TVs on the sides with advertisements of all the food, so it made it harder to order as everything looked solid. The restaurant itself was a bit tiny, so we were packed in like sardines in a can, but that made it feel more homey! The main courses were great, but the desserts are where this place truly shines. The tarts were phenomenal, we had to take some to-go. I think we ended up trying many of them, but unfortunately didn’t capture in pictures.

Really good vegan salad. (Gluten free and vegan, gf/vg) Enjoyed a soy latte and strawberry smoothie. Partner loved the eggs Benedict.

We absolutely LOVE this place! I am not exaggerating, this is my favorite restaurant of all time! The service is incredible and everyone is so attentive and friendly. The experience itself is worth it, but the food is absolutely out of this world! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. They have the best tarts and pastry’s I’ve ever had in my entire life. We found this place and have been back to eat every single morning since we arrived in beautiful Cozumel. It was so great, clean and professional. I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend of 5 years but wasn’t sure where. We all loved it so much between the amazing food and chic ambience, I popped the question right in the restaurant after one of the best breakfasts of my life. This place will always hold a special place in my heart and I will be back. You are doing yourself a disservice by not eating here trust me! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Very grateful we found this gem!!!!***** ***P.S.- Very reasonable prices.😊

Great spot for almond croissant and breakfast deals. I love their green juice (pineapple, cucumber, mint). They customize my order. Had the avocado, egg , Spanish on a croissant. 😍 Service was great! Wish I stayed longer to try their pastry & bread.
Amy C — Google review
This place is legitimately the best breakfast place I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating at. Once we found out about this place we didn’t even bother going to other breakfast restaurants. I even proposed to my Fiancé there. We are back stateside but I can’t stop thinking about their tarts. If you’re in Cozumel do yourself a favor and stop in, at least for a tart. They do have meals as well. All in all a magical place that I hold dear to my heart. Each photo is a different morning we had breakfast here.
Russell B — Google review
A wonderful time with friends! Food was excellent, pacing was great, and the atmosphere perfect. I would go there again! Also, was fortunate to score a loaf of their sourdough bread! Amazing! Go there, you will not be disappointed.

Maple Bakehouse is a popular coffee shop and bakery with three locations in Cozumel. They offer a wide range of meals throughout the day, catering to various dietary preferences including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The bakery is known for its freshly baked breads and pastries, with occasional finds of gluten-free treats. Maple Bakehouse combines local and international flavors in their freshly made meals, satisfying hungry stomachs from morning until evening.
The breakfast is incredible. The staff is amazing. French press coffee, and the fruit plate is a great way to start your order. The poached eggs on rye or the poached egg stuffed brioche with the avocado mousse were perfection. The pancakes are the best I've ever had anywhere, much less in Cozumel. Hope to try the lunch menu on our next stay in February.

The guava croissant was so good I wanted to hug the chef and let them know that they are loved and valued. Best guava croissant I have had in my life! Only sad I got the last one. I don’t even remember how the coffee was like but was probably good too.

Great spot for breakfast! Cozy little café with a warm, relaxed vibe and super friendly staff. The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the rest of the breakfast menu had plenty of tempting options, whether you’re after something sweet, savory, or in between. Coffee was solid, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a bit longer. We left full and happy—and already talking about what we’ll try next time. Definitely worth a return visit if you’re in the area and want to start your day off right.

Wow - Just wow! This was our best meal during our stay in Mexico. I recommend getting the Sourdough Vasco and 1 or 2 pastries for a couple. Perfect amount of food to get your day started. Coffee was also fresh and tasty!

If you're a coffee aficionado visiting Cozumel, the COZ Coffee Roasting Company is an absolute must-visit. This charming café opens its doors bright and early at 6:30 AM, making it the perfect breakfast spot for those who rise with the sun. Nestled on Avenida 5 between Juarez and Calle 2, this local gem has gained popularity among both residents and tourists alike.
What an absolute gem of a cafe! We came here three times during our stay on Cozumel and wish we’d gone even more. We tried their peanut butter coffee which was, in a word, life-changing. Hot or cold it was delicious. Their coffee is amazing quality and the service was so friendly. They had some yummy vegan options including a date bar and a brownie which we loved. Honestly can’t wait to go back to Cozumel someday just to get another peanut butter coffee! 🩷
Jaclyn Z — Google review
Came here for breakfast whole in port and highly recommend you do too! Cute and quite little place. We enjoyed the peanut butter iced coffee and my husband had a V60 which he said was delicious. Breakfast came with fresh baked bread and fresh fruit. We even bought a bag of freshly roasted coffee. I would definitely return if in Cozumel again!
Leah J — Google review
Got the iced peanut butter coffee and was pleasantly surprised! It was a new drink for me and was very delicious. Great coffee too! I ended up purchasing a bag of beans to take back home (they can grind them fresh for you at the store if you choose).
Mason W — Google review
We love coming here for the coffee, the service, and the atmosphere. The cold or hot peanut butter coffee will make you forget any sadness in your life, and have you feeling Skippy in a Jiff. I had the Avocado Smoothie cold today, and mi esposa calliente had the cold peanut butter coffee. I like the memories the peanut butter brings back to me from the sandwiches mom made for me in school...This is exactly, the same, only different, caffeinated, and better...
Tom S — Google review
I visited this specialty coffee shop during my cruise excursion, recommended by my tour guide. The baristas were incredibly nice, and the coffee was on point exactly what I needed after a few days at sea. The place is small and packed with customers, and it was quite hot inside, so we chose to sit outdoors, where it was much cooler in the shade. I also picked up a couple of bags of organic Mexican coffee beans to try back home.
Maina K — Google review
Best place in Centro Cozumel to get a fresh cup of coffee and a home-cooked meal. The staff are super friendly and the service is fast. I had an espresso that was made from local coffee beans. Also ordered huevos con chorizo. Everything tasted delicious 😋! Highly recommend it if you are in Cozumel.

Best breakfast in Cozumel! Loved the peanut butter coffee, avocado toast & breakfast sandwich. Staff was friendly, and great tables to sit out front and people watch.

Love this little cafe!! My friend and I came here all four mornings during our time in Cozumel. The coffee is delicious and the pastries are INCREDIBLE, especially the croissants. Highly recommend the savory croissant with hot honey and the cardamom bun. I can’t wait to come back to Cozumel and revisit this gem of a business!

What a great hidden gem 💎 of Cozumel. We had a great time here. The pastries are amazing! The coffee and food was prepared on time and tasted amazing. The whole ambience is similar to a small local bar so you won’t see many Americans tourist which is a good thing. Recommend it!

I would recommend this place to anyone. The coffee and coffee selection is excellent. The staff were bilingual and spoke excellent English. The restaurant was extremely clean. It has great breakfast options and lunch. I had a fruit bowl, everything fresh and the red enchiladas, extremely fresh and delicious. The prices are extremely affordable. If i stay in Cozumel this is my go to for morning coffee and breakfast or lunch and I forgot great dessert menu as well.

We love this little coffee shop. We eat breakfast here as often as we can. The staff is very friendly and will help make you whatever you want. The chilaquiles and enmoladas are delicious. The French toast special was awsome.

Casa Mission is a historic Mexican estate turned restaurant located in the heart of Cozumel. The lush garden and beautiful hacienda provide a picturesque backdrop for enjoying seafood, cocktails, and live music. The restaurant offers a diverse menu including vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With its enchanting garden space and extensive menu featuring specialties like vegetable enchiladas and lime soup, Casa Mission promises an unforgettable dining experience.
Our tour guide suggested Casa Mission for lunch and he did not lead us astray. This place was phenomenal. The grounds are beautiful, service was top notch, and the food was amazing. Our group of 10 was attended to very quickly and the soup, bread, and chips and salsa were the perfect start to our meals. We were almost too full for the entrees, but we pushed through. So good!!! Do yourself a favor and go here!! We will definitely come back!

I am a local and I’ve read about this place on Facebook for several months so I decided to try it. Highly recommended! Great food (try the mole enchiladas), great atmosphere, Mexican music being played by a live trio. And their table side guacamole is delicious! They are dog friendly too. Some places are dog friendly but that can be a problem with the dogs that are not well behaved. When you arrive, they share a list of dog rules with you and if your dog cannot follow them they will not allow the dog in. Or, if your dog breaks the rules, the dog has to leave. Makes for a great experience!Rebeca was my hostess and she was very helpful. And Armando was my waiter and he did a great job. Try to get them to help you when you are here.

We have been to Casa Mission several times over the years. It seams to stay the same for the most part. During this visit at the last minute it was discovered that we were in a rush to get the next ferry back to the main land. They jumped right up too the task and got us right to the boat in about 20 minutes. So good food good service and good prices. Good luck and have fun.

What a great restaurant! Such a wonderful meal; flavorful and delicious. Authentic and what a beautiful setting. Service is great and live music was a great plus. Nice restaurant for a special occasion or just because. Dress up or not, but it’s a lovely place! Definitely coming back and you won’t regret trying it!
Maggie F — Google review
Eating dinner at Casa Mission was a delightful experience! The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside with a lovely outdoor dining space as well and evokes hacienda architecture. The waitstaff are very friendly and the service is quick! Drinks are fantastic, especially the margaritas. We had the beef steak nachos, ceviche, and shrimp burrito and everything was freshly made and so delicious. The ceviche was very refreshing, and I could eat it every day. Casa Mission is a must visit!
Emma E — Google review
Excellent place to avoid the nonsense high density tourist areas. Nice chill spot to grab some high quality food and take in some cool architecture and sights. Paying took quite a long time and our taxi was waiting outside thinking we bailed on him. I think it took 30min to pay. I highly recommend the Caesar salad, he makes it right in front of you.
Lj J — Google review
We were in Cozumel as a stop on a cruise. We hired a local to show us around the island. For lunch he took us to his favorite restaurant, Casa Mission, and I'm so glad he did. You should do the same. Everything was fabulous! All 14 in our group felt the same way. Among the things we had were chips and salsa (pico de gallo), margaritas, fajitas, ceviche, queso fundido, guacamole, y más. No disrespect to the places at the cruise terminals as we've enjoyed them in the past. But if you want to venture out and eat where the locals do, this is the place. ¡Salud!

Crazy King Burrito is a popular breakfast and brunch spot in Cozumel, offering a relaxing oceanfront dining experience. The menu features an array of lunch and dinner options, including tostadas, cocktails, and tasty tacos. Known for its generous portions and fresh ingredients, the burritos come in two sizes with various protein and veg combinations. The asada and shrimp burritos are particularly popular. Additionally, the restaurant offers a big vegan burrito for those with dietary preferences.
Being from Texas I thought I knew a great burrito, but I was wrong all my life! This place is exceptional! The tortillas are fresh and grilled to perfection. The chicken, shrimp chipotle, and asada steak burritos are wonderful. I come here everyday when I’m in Cozumel. I love the salsas too! The staff are friendly and welcoming. My goal is to try their Lewisville, TX location next. ❤️
K T — Google review
Awesome burrito- really worth stopping in. Great quick service! Crazy King Buritto has some legit big shrimp in it! Great prices too. Nice seating on the sidewalk.
Rob J — Google review
While the burrito is good, it's nothing special for the price of $18$ for a burrito and a Fanta. For the quality, the price isn't equal, and there are many better spots on the island where you get your money's worth. It's definitely where tourists eat, which coincides with the way they charge their prices. I won't be going back.
Sean L — Google review
Crazy King burrito is it family owned place here on Cozumel. They make delicious burritos, best on the island! Each burrito is cooked with care. The owners take pride in their quality, flavor and value. Remember, a family owns the place, their hours are 11 - 7 Saturday to Friday. You won't be disappointed! 😋
Christopher K — Google review
Nice staff, burrito is nothing special. I got the king sized king burrito. For the price, I was hoping for a giant super delicious burrito. However, I have had better and bigger burritos in California for cheaper and better flavor profiles. Probably would try a different burrito restaurant next time.
Andrew H — Google review
Small place on the corner with one of the best burritos that I've ever had! Chicken, seafood, or vegetarian...all delicious!

This place is the cat's pajamas! Super friendly staff, great service and delicious food. I snagged a "King" burrito and my fiance grabbed a veggie burrito...both were spot on. Portions, quality and value. This joint just slightly off the beaten path is a gem. The hospitality by the staff was great. Attention to detail for a small, affordable shop was great. Italian restaurant
If you're looking to take a break from the vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine, Kooben Laab is a must-visit Italian restaurant nestled in Cozumel. This charming eatery has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 2018 with its freshly made bread and pasta, crafted right on-site. The inviting atmosphere, complete with warm decor and friendly staff, makes you feel like you're dining at a friend's home.
I have a tendency to give less 5-star reviews on restaurants these days, but Kooben Lab is oh-so worthy. From their homemade bread, pasta, sauces, and tiramisu to the skilled kitchen staff and friendly, attentive wait and support staff, it's one to put at the top of your Cozumel dining list. The same menu items are available at lunch or dinner. The carbonara was supreme, and the salad with honey-mustard dressing not to be missed. I had to come back twice during the visit! Another great point is that it is NOT overpriced, really very reasonable, and therefore, dinner reservations are recommended. Thank you!
R J — Google review
If you want authentic Italian cuisine look no further! K’ooben lab is an amazing family owned restaurant, one of the best on the island. The staff will make you feel at home and the food will make you think your Nonna made it, do not miss this gem! Breakfast lunch and dinner it’s a must for Cozumel!
Lisa B — Google review
The most important thing to say about the Laab is that they clearly care about food and that comes through in everything they serve. The ingredients are so fresh and flavourful. The dishes are creative and well executed. I have no critiques of the food and drink at all. We had: the mixed meat and cheese platter (all of which were delicious and a very enjoyed diversion from the typical fare in Cozumel), a mango-anchovy risotto that was so bright and lively, the carbonara (the best I’ve ever had. Their housemade pasta is excellent), and their chocolate cake (decadent in all the right ways but just shy of being too much). The drinks (red wine, mezcal, as gin cocktail) were all lovely. Some of the best food I’ve had anywhere - hands down. Their staff know and appreciate their food - and so they do their job well.
Terrance L — Google review
K'ooben Laab was recommended to us by multiple people before visiting Cozumel for our first time. By far the best place we've eaten on the island. Our server Joel was amazing and had the best recommendations for us. Everything truly is so fresh and the creators put so much care and time into each dish.
Brianna R — Google review
We were really impressed! It started with homemade cheese and tomato bread on the house..absolutely delicious! Then we had a great Bolognese. You can really feel the passion and love that goes into this place. Highly recommended!
Manuel — Google review
amazing!!! worth walking to go there!! prices are compatible with the food they offer! amazing pasta with shrimps and tiramisu was delicious!
Leticia M — Google review
This place kept popping up on lists of places to try in Cozumel and can confirm, it’s with good reason. The restaurant itself is slightly away from the main tourist drag-it has a cute rooftop area with creative takes on Italian staples. The focaccia and mussels with white wine were standouts-but the carbonara pasta and lasagna were both delicious. The service was excellent-they even offered to secure us a taxi when we clearly were too full for the walk back to our hotel. Definitely a must visit.
Amy K — Google review
I had such an amazing time! I’ve been to Kooban Laab so many times, and it’s been my favourite restaurant for years. I love that they always give fresh focaccia to start the meal. The portion sizes feel small, but the pasta is so well made. Also, I’m always full by the end of the meal, so one plate is the perfect size. Today we had Joel as our waiter, and he was so nice! He suggested they’re special for the day was the ravioli and it was legit the best pasta I ever had.

Aqui + Ahora Coffee Bar is a great place to study or work, as the atmosphere is quiet and distraction-free. There are plenty of healthy food options on the menu and very reasonable prices. The view from their rooftop makes lunch even more enjoyable.
Newer and cute on the inside and then upstairs they have a rooftop that overlooks the ocean that’s actually a nice little ambiance with good music and breeze . Great breakfast spot. The server was really nice and friendly. The food was super good, probably the best breakfast we had while we were here. Lots of juice, coffee, and food options. Recommend eggs Benedict with avocado instead for a filling vegetarian option. Prices were surprisingly really reasonable too! Would definitely come back.

Delicious, fresh, flavorful, creative! We are foodies, chefs by trade, so we are looking for something to wow us. The fish tacos were lightly fried and had the perfect amount of heat and punch of flavor. The steak salad was wonderful too. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly, the avocado was creamy, the chimichurri was the star. You won’t be disappointed.

If you're looking for a chill spot to spend the afternoon than look no further. My husband and I came in to cool off from the August summer heat. The cafe was filled with locals but still cozy. We found a table and enjoyed fresh juices and cocktails. All delicious! They even had some board games so we enjoyed a game with our drinks. We didn't eat but the food looked amazing. 10 out of 10 would definitely return if I was in Cozumel.

This is a GEM found.. first it is climate controlled (A/C) second it has character, good music, good food, the only drawback is warm restrooms which I hope they'll remedy in the future.. Started with a fruit salad which tasted far better than my hotel fruits. Had a good capucino, a big freshly made juice (they have several choices) and then an egg Benedict with potatoes, while my dear had an avocado toast with eggs and arugula salad. Delicious..

So delicious! We got the chips and guac and a margarita pizza. Both were fresh and tasty. Besides the great food, the staff was amazing. Appreciate excellent customer service. Don't forget the atmosphere. Very hip vibe, music and setting. Highly recommend. Would give more stars if I could!!

Stopped here for lunch while cruising. The food was outstanding. My son had the ribeye tacos, perfect. Daughter had the birrios and I shared the chicken/coconut tacos with the wife. All 3 were excellent. Hard to say which was best, because all were 🔥. Huge outdoor patio with great atmosphere. Easy walk from the cruise pier as well. Highly recommend.

Guido's is a long-standing Italian restaurant in Cozumel known for its classic, seasonal Italian cuisine and laid-back atmosphere. Since opening in 1978, the restaurant has maintained consistency and evolved over the years. The chefs at Guido's blend French culinary skills with traditional flavors to create innovative dishes that please the palate. The menu features top-quality homemade Italian food, including fresh-made pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and their renowned seven-layer lasagna.
We went to Guido two days in a row. Great Italian food. Shrimp aglio pasta - excellent dish Garlic bread - crispy and delicious Sangria was too sweet for us but refreshing Shrimp Pizza was good but I prefer the pasta more. Love the ambience in the courtyard.

Excellent restaurant, near the downtown square, great food & service, clean bathrooms. Not cheap, water is bottled and about $3.50 each, well worth the money for a nice meal. We had a large group, can't split bill so recommend one person just pays for it and have others reimburse.

This place is an absolute gem and hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The service was fast, professional, and consistent, making the entire experience even better. The pizza was incredible, perfectly baked, loaded with fresh, high quality ingredients, and full of flavor in every single bite. The pasta was just as amazing, cooked perfectly al dente with a rich, creamy, and well balanced sauce that was packed with flavor. And the lasagna was absolutely perfect. Layers of fresh pasta, rich sauce, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned meat made it one of the best lasagnas we have ever had. We also tried a few other items and everything we ordered was outstanding. The flavors were amazing, the portions were generous, and the overall quality was far beyond expectations. If you are looking for the best pizza, pasta, and lasagna in the area, this is the place to go. Whether you are local or visiting, you will not be disappointed. We could not be more satisfied and we will absolutely be coming back again and again.

Must stop here in Cozumel for us!!!! The pizza and baked break is insane cooked in a huge wood fired oven you can see when walking in! We come to Cozumel yearly and Guido's is always a spot we eat at once or twice while here in the island. If you love sangria this is some of the best I've ever had (not a wine drinker at all either) with freshly cut apples and other fruits in a large ceramic pitcher. Just outside is located the oceanfront view which has the most amazing sunsets on the island which I pictured for you. Ps Guido's is a little more upscale then your local taqueria so will be paying $80-100 for a nice meal for your family.

Amazing food. The staff are like family for the regulars that visit. I visit every time I’m on the island. The goats and green salad accompanied by the lasagna is a fav, of course that quickly changes depending on the daily specials. The house made sangria is always a good choice as you soak up the oasis type atmosphere in the back.

Guido's is one ofy great constants of the universe. This lovely little gem of a restaurant delivers great salads and seafood, and one of the most unique and yummy baked lasagnas anywhere. We go for the caprese salad, lasagna and their great home made sangria. Try it out and you're going to come back every time you come back to Cozumel.

The food at this restaurant is excellent. I had the Mahi Mahi and it didn't disappoint. I also had a grilled shrimp appetizer that was delicious with garlic bread. Service and atmosphere outstanding.

Modest storefront, lovely and spacious interior. We sat out in the garden area. I had the sweet potato ravioli and the tossed green salad. Both were fresh and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. There was lovely Italian music playing and not too loud. The bathroom was uncommonly nice. Our experience could not have been better.

Ix Kool is a renowned restaurant in Cozumel that celebrates the rich Mayan heritage through its traditional gastronomic offerings. Chef Karla Enciso, recognized as one of the top 10 chefs in Quintana Roo, meticulously crafts authentic flavors and recipes based on extensive research into the culinary traditions passed down through generations in Mayan communities.
If you’re looking for an authentic culinary experience in Cozumel, Ix Kool is a must-visit! We had the pleasure of dining here today and were absolutely blown away by the flavors and hospitality. We sampled several traditional dishes, each more delicious than the last. The spices and ingredients used truly brought the rich history of Mexican cuisine to life. Our waiter, Alex, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Not only did he make spot-on recommendations, but he also shared fascinating insights about the dishes and the unique spices that make them so special. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the experience, making it a meal we won’t forget. If you’re in Cozumel, make sure to stop by Ix Kool—you’ll leave with a full belly and a greater appreciation for the region’s cuisine.

It's not the number one restaurant on TripAdvisor for nothing! Our meal at Ix Kool was nothing short of extraordinary. This restaurant brings traditional, Mayan cuisine and unique tastes to Cozumel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sikil P'aak made tableside in a traditional macajete. The handmade corn tortillas are authentically made. The Cochanita Pibil was so crispy while the slow-roasted pork was so juicy. We finished the evening with a traditional coconut cream. Thank you so much, Ix Kool. We look forward to our next visit.
Deborah R — Google review
Ix Kool was not what I expected.... it was 10 times better! The blending of the food was exceptional. We ordered straight away from the menu. Do yourself a favour. Watch the info video explaining the foods and how they are made. Best meal in 20 days of travelling Mexico. The guacamole was prepared in front of us at the table. After watching the video, I also had Mexican Cornbread dessert with home made coconut ice cream.

We went to have the Tequila & Mezcal tasting experience and was extremely fun and delicious! The experience is not only very informative, it’s really a trip for your senses. We got samples 4 tequilas, 5 mezcals, and like a small 4 steps appetizers that were classical Mayan cuisine. I’ll recommend this experience to everybody!
Melisa D — Google review
Certainly! Here’s a polished, professional-sounding version of your experience written in the style of a food reviewer: ⸻ I had the opportunity to sample some authentic Mayan cuisine and came away impressed by the depth of flavor and cultural richness reflected in the dishes. I opted for the pipián pork, a hearty and well-balanced entrée featuring tender cuts of pork enveloped in a robust, nutty pumpkin seed sauce. The dish was complemented perfectly by fresh, handmade tortillas—warm, pliable, and clearly crafted with care. To accompany the meal, I tried the non-alcoholic ix-kool haa, a refreshing and subtly complex beverage that paired well with the savory notes of the main course. The meal was both satisfying and immersive, offering a memorable taste of Mayan culinary tradition.

I read another review that said the Lima soup and the Sikil Paak were unforgettable. This review was correct. Hands down the most unique dishes I’ve ever tasted. If you are looking for a beautiful, clean, authentic restaurant stop here. Service was friendly and the drinks were handcrafted. Agave fields forever and Mayan blood were the best drinks. I will be thinking about this food for the next two years…..

In Cozumel and want an authentic Mayan meal experience then check this place out. The flavor was fantastic. Will be back here next time I’m in Cozumel
James T — Google review
This is the second time visiting this fine establishment and it is fabulous. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. Great atmosphere, food and service. You have to try the guacamole. The Mayan flavors are fresh and great. A tell tale sign of a good restaurant is a manageable munu. This is one of them, there are limited choices, I suggest ordering a bottle of wine and trying any of them. I will be back every time I am in Cozumel.

Kondesa is a top dining spot in Cozumel, offering a refined gastronomic experience in a jungle-inspired setting. The restaurant features an open dining space with a romantic atmosphere and uses locally sourced products to create traditional Mexican dishes with modern twists. The menu focuses on meat and fish dishes of high quality. With its outdoor garden, Kondesa provides an upscale dining experience where guests can enjoy local and international cuisine under the stars.
Easily the best meal we’ve had in Cozumel. First, little tortillas stuffed with refried black beans topped with mole sauce and nopales. Second, Lionfish cakes (ask for the habanero cream sauce on the side). Entrees, I had the Octopus Pastor and my wife had the Red Snapper “Mayan style”. Finished off with the dessert special, a corn panna cotta over a corn cake made to look like an ear of corn! Everything was delicious, can’t recommend this place enough!
Matthew S — Google review
I came all the way from New York to Mexico, and this was actually my very first meal here. I was so excited to finally taste some authentic local flavors—but honestly, this place left me a little disappointed. The food leaned heavily toward a more Westernized, Caucasian-style flavor profile: tons of cheese, very bland, and lacking depth or spice. It felt more like something I’d get at a resort rather than a local gem. As someone who’s quite picky and came to the island specifically for the food experience, it just didn’t hit the mark. BUT—the atmosphere? 10/10. Service? Even better. They lit mosquito coils for us, sprayed bug repellent when we asked, and the staff were super attentive and sweet. Music? Absolutely fire. Seriously, the playlist was amazing. I do suspect the restaurant might be owned or run by Americans, which would explain the flavor profile. And one thing that really bummed me out: I came alone and wanted to try the Chef’s Menu, but they wouldn’t serve it unless there were at least two people. That felt a bit unfair, especially for solo travelers. Overall, this place has a great vibe and fantastic service, but if you’re a foodie hunting for bold, authentic Mexican flavors—you might want to keep looking.
Vivi C — Google review
We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant and the food was beyond amazing. But as good as the food was, the service was even better. Victor and Sergio took such good care of us. We loved the unique flavors of every dish and you could tell the chef was on top of his game. Definitely will be a return visit when we come back to the island.

My friends and I had an amazing time here! The food was absolutely delicious, and the music added a perfect touch to the evening. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. I also really appreciated the decor—it’s stylish and gives the place a great atmosphere. Definitely a spot I’d recommend, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Very Limited vegan options, but there is one which is very tasty (cauliflower tacos). Not an overly cheap place either in comparison to a few others in the area, but it is very atmospheric and beautiful to have a light dinner at. Hopefully you are not too hungry as a vegan and come for the atmosphere instead. :) Very nice light music, breeze of the open air, mood lighting, dare I say romantic, with a starry night sky through the greens. The service is very friendly and attentive. And some free parking right outside of the restaurant. Recommend.

We had an Amazing experience! We parked up front. We were greeted beautifully and we got to choose our table. The ambiance is very relaxing. It wasn't dark yet so we didn't get to see all of the lighting but it was very beautiful with all the greenery and jungle vibe. We tried the lobster fundido, the corn on the cob, dumplings and the lionfish cakes, for dinner and shared. The lionfish cakes and corn was my favorite. Don't get me wrong everything was phenomenal! Every dish had its own uniqueness and the sauces that it came with paired perfectly together. We made room for dessert and tried the special which was cornbread cake and ordered the Katrina as well. Both of these desserts were AMAZING!!! Omg the presentation was out of this world! I loved it All😍

Lovely outdoor dining experience with excellent food, drinks and service. Lionfish cakes and Mayan snapper were really good as was the tropical margarita with a hint of spice. Victor took excellent care of us, gave us some good suggestions and was very professional. One of the better meals of our visit to Cozumel.
Kevin R — Google review
If you’d like to taste something local, but with a modern twist, complemented by friendly service and great ambiance, look no further. And by eating the delicious lionfish patties, you’ll be supporting the local marine biodiversity since lionfish is an aggressively invasive species and a threat to the coral reef.

Pancho's Backyard is a popular upscale dining spot located in downtown Cozumel, offering delicious brunch and dinner options. The restaurant is known for its flavorful dishes, including the catch of the day and delectable dessert choices. In addition to its tasty brunch, Pancho's Backyard also serves up an array of cocktails, such as the renowned banana margarita.
The original location of Pancho’s Backyard used to be packed every time we visited. Since less tourists seem to walk the entire strip of Downtown Cozumel it is a bit less busy but still just as charming. Its indoor/outdoor atmosphere fits the location perfectly and you will always have great service and lovely music. The food is good as well, if generally a bit touristy but it doesn’t matter because Pancho’s always makes you feel like you’ve come home.

Ambiance: Mexican restaurant with beautiful views of the cruise ships/ocean with an upscale traditional/rustic style atmosphere. Their margaritas are large and hit the spot! I had a wonderful Mothers day meal here. The food was fresh, splendidly plated. The frozen lime margarita was refreshing on a hot day. The fried ice cream was yummy. Carlos was my waiter and we chatted for a while. I will definitely return.

This pace is a hidden gem. Came here because a local at a different restaurant said this place would be better. There was no lies detected!!!!! This place is beautiful! From the atmosphere to the look and feel of the place, just beautiful. The worker here are by far the nicest most sincere people on the island. The food was some of the best authentic Mexican cuisine you pups have and for a reasonable price. Highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I have come here 2 previous times while on cruises to Cozumel and loved the atmosphere and margaritas. Unfortunately, when we returned today, we were disappointed. Although the margaritas remained good and strong, the food quality declined significantly. Our chips were stale. The guacamole was tasteless and the salsa had no spice to it. My chicken fajitas were also bland and given the very expensive cost of everything, all the portions were very small. Come for the margaritas and the atmosphere and not the food. Very much for tourists only. The first question we were asked was what cruise ship we were on. Why should that matter?

This place was a breath of fresh air. Was looking for a classy Italian vibe in Cozumel and this spot fit the bill! It's off the main road a tad, tucked away on a one way street. The decor was beautiful and the staff was extremely attentive. The food was solid; I had the beef carpacio as a starter and the duck breast for my main. No drinks this time; while they have a full bar their main thing is wine (and I wasn't in the mood for vino.) For 4 people, the tab came to less than $150 tip; money well spent in my book. Highly recommend if you're craving Italian fare.)

I can handle being told at 1015 as I sit down that they close at 11 so I’d better order fast. I suppose that means they want you out the door at 11. Fine. Respect. I cannot accept them forgetting I asked for my plate to be out in a to-go box along with the salad and dessert I didn’t have time to eat there. They didn’t have any to-go fork, knife or spoon they said. So I said okay, I’ll eat my leftovers, salad and dessert with my fingers in my hotel room just to get out of your awful energy that just wants me to leave. I’m a problem customer at 1015pm. What is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE is La Cocay messing up and me rushing, cutting up half my chicken dinner into finger-sized pieces to eat at my hotel with no flatware…nor napkin…but that they apparently forgot and then handed me a to-go box with, supposedly my leftovers…to discover a box of rice with half a sweet poroto thing and lo chicken. No sauce. None of the vegetables. Just dry rice and half a sweet potato thing. I’m totally offended. They probably picked my leftover half sweet potato thing out of the trash and dumped it on a pile of rice leftover in the kitchen. I paid like $25 for that chicken at the current exchange rate and they ganged me trash and stole my food. My bill was over $1000 pesos and I was rushed, pressured and hurried and they gave me trash leftovers. Imagine if I even ate this and got sick!! Totally awful experience.

The restaurant also serves fajitas, frijoles, and cheese fondues at competitive prices. Despite its simple setting with limited seating in an open-aired dining area, the tacos are fresh, juicy, and perfectly grilled.
El Pique is one of our favorite places to eat on the island. We've been eating here for years. We ordered El Pique Pastor for 115 pesos and it fed 2 people. Their guacamole is fantastic too. If you're looking to eat where the locals eat, this is the place!

This taqueria was recommended by the locals. My hubby scuba dives in Cozumel often but doesn’t explore many of the restaurants. I’m 1st generation Mexican American so I know my authentic Mexican food. These are the tacos you want. I haven’t tried their Gringa Pique but our local friends raved about the Alpastor Gringa Pique which is like a pizza. Anyhoo… not sure if I’ll try it bc I’m just hooked on their guac n tacos. We’ve been here about 10 days and already eaten here twice. I’m pretty sure we’ll be here a couple more times before we leave and this place will be one of our favs!!! Oh, and you can’t beat the price. Hubby and I each get 2 tacos and share a plate of guac n chips, we give a generous 20% tip and it’s still less than $20 USD, great place all around!!! Try it, you’ll be glad you did!!!

This brewery was great. Good beers with a good selection. They alsonsold local rum and I was able to pick that up. The food look great but we did not eat anything. There is no AC in this building and that might be the only negative thing. They do have lots of fans blowing on you but it's still hot.

We had heard so much negative about the beer. I've been drinking small brew pub beers since the 80's and think they are doing an excellent job. Style wise spot on. The pizza was great as well as the ceviche. Definitely worth stopping in and I will be back for sure. Edit from last year, Still 5 across the board, pizza great, ceviche great and the beers are improved from last so still good

From their warm bolillos and teleras to scrumptious conchas, every bite feels like a treat from home.
We LOVE this bakery. Some of the freshest pastries and bread we tried on the island. Their conchas are wonderful and the cup of coffee was pretty good too. All the staff are so kind, and the atmosphere was very clean. We like to enjoy a snack on the patio, then take a big bag of pastries home for future breakfasts. They carefully wrap each pastry airtight, so it stays fresh for days. The banana and carrot bread are delicious. And those chocolate chip cookies are bomb!

The bolillos are so good, and like $7 MX. Super cheap. Pastries are more like $15-$25MX. I tried a whole bunch of them, but the bolillos are the best part.

It was years ago, but the chocolate muffins were so good!!! I always, always remember. When someone says they're going to Cozumel, i always tell them go to this bakery!

I love this place. Small bakery, since '80 family run business, Doña Adriana is very nice person, she was running the business many decades with her husband but after his death now their daughters are running the place but if you are lucky you can still meet her there.

My wife and I stopped to enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry. We wanted to share them as we already had lunch. We were told to leave unless we each purchased a least a cup of coffee and a pastry each. There was no one else in any of the outside tables. There is not a sign saying there is a minimum purchase to sit at a table. So off we walk carrying a not very good, too hot cup of coffee. Not impressed. Will not be seeing our business again. I don't know if the pastry is good, since I am still looking for a place to sit and eat it.
Jay M — Google review
One of my favorite places to set and enjoy a pastry, break, or cake in the mornings. They make the best bolillos/teleras on the island and they are amazing when they just come out of the oven. Don't miss the breakfast pizza/pastry, chocolate muffins, or oatmeal cookies. The coffee is okay (cheaper canned coffee) but they also have a nice selection of juices and water to take with you or enjoy on the veranda. A popular hangout for ex-pats, snowbirds, and gringos traveling through the area.
Martin K — Google review
Double the price of other bakeries. The older lady that runs the place gets all weird and yells at you to get out in Spanish if more than 2 people are in there. Still afraid of getting sick 3 years later. She NEVER comes to work on time to open up. Pastries are ok. Chedraui and Mega have way better for way cheaper.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Cozumel, Starbucks Pama offers a delightful escape for coffee lovers and travelers alike. Located on Avenida Rafael e Melgar, this charming spot brings the beloved Starbucks experience to life with its signature roasts and light bites. The atmosphere is inviting, featuring ample indoor and outdoor seating that allows you to soak up the local ambiance while enjoying your favorite drink.
Lovely little Bucks’ while getting our port day started. They have lots of shaded seating outside, but it’s a little small inside and can get packed pretty easily when people start leaving the ships. Our baristas were very nice and speak fluent English if Spanish isn’t your strong point. If you are a little timid to dive into the city, this is a clean and safe spot just off the ship that is a great little mix of Mexico with a safety net. Just be advised, you’re in a country known for delicious coffee at a lot of local spots even here in a tourist heavy area. Don’t sleep on them either. The bucks is good, but don’t be afraid to venture if you’re feeling like it at all. Just sayin! ;)
J.R. W — Google review
Great location with wonderful views. Our barista was very nice and smiley and helpful. It’s Starbucks so you all know the food and the coffee. Went for a Cozumel “been there” cup but they didn’t have one. Had to settle for a Mexico cup.
Jason T — Google review
Because I didn't gave a tip, the bartenders prepared drinks for other customers after me and kept me waiting on the line until I asked about my medium coffee size. After that they prepared, pretending is a mistake. It's not worth leaving your money there.

This was a nice location once you exit the ships dock. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The place has adequate seating. But the location two blocks up the street is a much better more relaxing or enjoyable setting.

La Cuisine in Cozumel is a popular health food spot offering a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and early dinner. The menu caters to vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores with an array of plant-based dishes such as fruit and smoothie bowls, tofu scrambles, vegan waffles and quesadillas, wraps, buddha bowls, fresh salads, entrees and healthy smoothies.
This island gem is the epitome of healthy dining. With a commitment to freshness and homemade goodness, it stands out as the healthiest place to eat. The Mediterranean bowl is a personal favorite, and their special meals never disappoint – a track record of consistently delicious choices. I've never had a bad meal here, making it my go-to spot for nourishing and satisfying eats.

If you’re looking for healthy and fresh food on the island, this is the place! Everything was delicious, flavorful, and super fresh. The staff is also very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!

So many delicious and healthy vegan options! Ate here twice while in Cozumel.

Healthy, fresh, and delicious food. I made the right choice coming here for breakfast. I ordered the green bowl and it exceeded my expectations. The preparation, presentation and quality was excellent. The menu has so many healthy delicious options to choose from so you will easily find something to satisfy your nutrition and make your taste buds smile at the same time : )
Jared L — Google review
We have been here several times and every time impressions was different. My husband is not vegan, so he really liked caesar wrap with chicken (though on one day it was really juicy and there was lots of sauce, on other day it had almost no sauce and tasted dry). He also liked Mediterranean bowl. I liked it too, but Mexicano was also nice. Tofu scramble was poor, small portion, insipid taste. Vegan wrap is absolutely same as Mediterranean bowl, but they added MUCH more balsamic vinegar and wrapped the salad in tortillas ;(( Better try bowl! Vegan sandwich was poor too, I didn’t even eat it. In menu it says there is pesto sauce, but they put it like a DROP 🥲 of it, and it had rotten taste and smell. Then cheap bread, bunch of spinach, drops of mustard and a little bit avocado… I returned it. Be aware of rotten spinach leaves and lettuce. I tried Afrodisiaco juice, it was really good. If you look for quality and good taste definitely go to Nutty Treesome cafe in Downtown, those guys will treat you as best friends, and they care about quality of ingredients. You will find awesome sushi and best ever burgers, you’ll love it even if you’re not vegan!
Liliia K — Google review
Ate here a couple times while visiting Cozumel! They have a mini store attached to the restaurant that has all your handmade hygiene products, natural peanut butters and spices. The menu is fairly large with lots of options to pick from! The staff was nice, and the prices were decent. The smoothies are the best !
Alliey K — Google review
A great spot with a tonne of vegan options.
Olia — Google review
I was excited to find this spot but the hours on Google are incorrect. The hours on their door also seem to be incorrect as I came at 6:15pm one day and they were closed already (despite having 7pm close time on their door). Food wise they are a solid option for those with dietary restrictions (dairy free, gluten free, vegan). The juices are EXCELLENT and worth the price. The flavoring of the food during our first visit was lacking. We ordered the vegan quesadilla (which turned out to be tacos) and the avocado lovers toast. The next day we ordered a smoothie bowl (which made up for the previous day) and an omelette. Both options were tasty.

We had breakfast here and LOVED it! We ordered the ricotta pancakes and mole chilaquiles to eat, iced latte and iced banana latte to drink, and everything was delicious. The service was excellent—Charly and Mijael were both so kind and helpful :) Definitely recommend!

I got the Florentine eggs which was the same as their eggs benedict with the addition of spinach, side salad and salmon. It was decently good! The brioche bread was a nice touch but it did fall apart a bit fast. Overall yummy but I would try a different bread than brioche next time
Lisa N — Google review
Our normal breakfast place was closed and we came across this place with the waffles Benedict and decided to check it out. We are frequent travelers to Cozumel and have tried lots of different places. What a wonderful place with absolutely delicious food. My Mexican spouse got the Big American Breakfast (it is what she orders when we are in the US) and if you are a gringo and want a big American breakfast this was better than the one at home (I live in Mexico now). The eggs were perfectly cooked (she likes them well done), the bacon tasted smoked and was so thick and juicy, and the waffles were perfect with big and fluffy hash browns that I had to try. They were exquisite. I had the Oaxaca Chilaquile Mole and it did not miss a beat. The mole tasted just like it does in Oaxaca and they captured the flavor perfectly. We feel bad our normal breakfast place was closed (by the government) but now we got a second place after being so disappointed in many other choices. We will be coming here half the time now. Sorry to the owner of our ex favorite breakfast place. You are now tied on the island.

Guests are pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and the warm hospitality of the staff.
We just spent 19 nights in Cozumel and will have many fond memories of our breakfasts and chats at La Cocina De Silvia. Great food, friendly cat named Covi, and wonderful staff. A Symphony of Breakfast at Silvia’s At Silvia’s table, the morning begins, Where the symphony of breakfast eternally spins. Dennis and Silvia, maestros supreme, Weave flavors together like a dream. In the heart of Cozumel’s warm embrace, This cozy haven finds its place. The griddle sings, the coffee flows, Each bite a story, each sip bestows. Dennis, the conductor, with calm, steady hand, Guides the orchestra of flavors so grand. While Silvia, the artist, with wisdom and care, Creates dishes that dance on the morning air. Under Covi’s watchful and regal gaze, The feline king surveys the morning craze. With a flick of his tail and a knowing eye, He blesses the feast as guests drift by. Pancakes that rise like the island sun, Chilaquiles that whisper, “Day’s begun.” Eggs cooked to perfection, bacon divine, Each dish a treasure, each moment fine. The laughter of patrons fills the air, Stories and smiles are served with care. It’s not just breakfast—it’s an art, A symphony conducted straight from the heart. So come to La Cocina, where flavors align, Where Dennis and Silvia make breakfast shine. With Covi as witness to the magic they weave, You’ll leave enchanted, reluctant to leave.

I started early in the morning for a two tank scuba dive, and I wanted an early breakfast so I could survive the day! La Cochins de Silvia was open, and they were so welcoming. The mushroom omelette was excellent. However the coffee was only a single cup… I’m an American so I’m spoiled for endless coffee 😆 They were out of orange juice so I chose watermelon. They were very accommodating and made it fresh without sugar.

Breakfast is amazing with generous portions. I had pineapple juice with sweet bread and a bowl of fresh fruit. Then eggs over easy was perfect with crispy bacon and old fashion mash potatoes. Photos

I can’t say enough about this place. I look forward to this breakfast every trip. I don’t get the traditional breakfast though. I like to live on the wild side and enjoy enchiladas, enfrijoladas, or chilaquiles for breakfast when I come here. Nothing tastes better!!! The whole experience is tranquil and savory. Is that a thing??? I don’t know but I feel so at peace here. My tastebuds are in heaven. If you’re lucky enough, try the agua de limon con menta (lemonade with mint). Looks scary but tastes perfectly refreshing.

La Cozumeleña is a long-standing family-owned establishment on the island, known for its pure Cozumel vibe and remarkable breakfast offerings since 1962. While lacking outdoor seating, it compensates with an extensive menu featuring Yucatecan preparations like huevos joroches and huevos divorciados. The portions are generous, with some dishes easily serving two people.
Stopped into this cute Mexican restaurant to grab an Americano with almond milk. Their coffee is much better than a lot of coffee I’ve had on the island. It has a Mexican flare. They also included 2 DELICIOUS pastries for free from their bakery next door. Definitely check them out if you want a taste of Mexico and wanna avoid the cheesy cruise tourists. Total price under 50 MXN

La Cozumelena is an absolute must if you're spending a few days in Cozumel. We stopped in for breakfast one morning. We noticed that it was full of locals getting a meal in before heading to their jobs and just KNEW this was the place to eat. Our server was very friendly and double checked on us through the meal. We started off with some coffee and one of their fresh juices (delicious). They also have an extensive list of smoothies if you're feeling like something lighter/healthier to start your day. We then split two breakfast entrees: huevos motulenos and huevos jarochos. Both of these dishes are specialties of the area that I would highly recommend you try. Our favorite was the huevos jarochos which are like little breakfast enchiladas. There's also a bakery connected if you want some coffee and a pastry. If we find ourselves in Cozumel again, we are 100% going to pay this place a visit.

The plantain and bean tostadas were AMAZING! I didn’t think the fajitas were anything special, but they’re not bad by any means. The cappuccino was also quite good, as was the fruit plate. Prices are very reasonable too. They have an English menu, but the staff don’t speak English so plan on some difficulty communicating if you want anything special (such as a nut allergy, iced coffee, bring one dish out first, etc.). You’ll have to ask for the English menu, the one online from the QR code isn’t English.

Great food & excellent service. English menus are available (the one in the QR photo is in Spanish). If you have kiddos with you, there is a play area and high chairs available. A great option if you’re keen on keeping your little ones out of the boozier establishments.

This place is confusing. I went in and asked for a cappuccino but they said all they have is Americano. There didn't seem to be any food except for a coffee cake on the counter. Really enjoyed this café I stumbled upon walking on the street! The coffee was good and the banana bread was dense, flavorful, and not too sweet just how I like it. The croissant wasn’t as flaky as a French one, but I suppose that’s just how Mexican croissants tend to be. Overall, a cozy spot for a good coffee and treat!

I came after checking the online pictures of the drinks because I was looking for a place able to make a good milk foam (sth close to microfoam). I was served a cappuccino already sweetened (they added sugar while making the drink) and the foam wasn't what I expected/how it looked in the pictures. It did not taste bad, but I personally wouldn't go back. Especially because I don't like sugar in my coffee drinks.

This place was recommended by our masseuse and she was spot on! There are two different locations and this was the closer one in proximity. They have a lovely panaderia (which are not as common on the island unfortunately). The coffee was excellent and I throughly enjoyed my hazelnut cressant. This interior is so nicely done, great ambiance and there were three baristas all running to get our order filled! I also highly recommend 👌

So nice to have a kosher dairy restaurant in Cozumel. I was there for dinner and breakfast. This is my go to place for Latte the first thing in the morning. Seating is great. Staff are very friendly. All orders are made fresh. Prices are reasonable in a tourist area and it is kosher certified.

My 3 friends and I came into this cafe two days ago while it was pouring rain. We wanted to get something warm to drink and hope to wait out the rain. We were ignored, it was very awkward. There was no one else in there except a few men who seemed to work there (our group was all women FYI). There was a large man walking around speaking loudly on the phone, he seemed to either work there or own the shop. We weren't in a hurry so we figured we'd wait until someone would take our order, so I started looking around. This place is kosher and seems to be Jewish owned which is great, I totally support that, however I saw they had numerous photos on the walls celebrating and honoring active IDF members. I told my friends, let's go, they obviously don't want to serve us and I'm not giving my money to a company promoting and celebrating the IDF during a time they are carrying out massive violations of human rights. As we walked out the large man on the phone sarcastically waved at us. So glad we didn't give this business any money.

Great coffee and breakfast place with air conditioned indoor and pleasant outdoor seating. We shared the shakshuka and it was for us. Coffee is really good too with options for alternative milk like almond, coconut, coconut without sugar. The only thing to have in mind is that service might be on a slower side if the place is packed.

I stopped here for an iced tea and good WiFi with my son during an excursion from the Carnival cruise. WiFi was reliable and one hour included with purchase of $5 or more. The tea was made fresh from whole leaf then iced and served cold. It was fantastic quality. My son had a lime crushed ice drink which he liked very much. Great place for an Ohio girl used to Starbucks.

Good place to get a cup of coffee or bottle of water or soda. I had a nice seat in area of their own but you're obligated to buy something to use it which was great for me. I needed to sit down and needed a drink and the diet Coke and chair were a welcome sight.

New name is Banana & Company. Beware, prices are posted in pesos, and they will try to take advantage of you on the exchange rate. I was going to buy 4 bottles of water at 40 pesos each (total 160 pesos). They tried charge me $10 USD, an exchange rate of 16 pesos per $1 USD. The exchange rate at the time was 20.62 pesos per $1 USD, so they were trying to rip me off for two dollars. I went to the restaurant across the plaza instead and bought my waters for the appropriate price ($8 dollars). Hopefully, Banana & Company will soon go out of business and we can get a respectable establishment here.

Nestled in the charming Punta Langosta shopping center, Banana & Company is a delightful spot that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. Just a short stroll from the ferry and situated along Melgar Avenue, this hidden gem is perfect for cruise ship visitors looking to indulge before setting sail. The vibrant ambiance welcomes you with eye-catching wall designs and upbeat service that instantly lifts your spirits.
Best coffee in Cozumel! Fast and friendly service. Highly recommended!

While at the port, I decided to stop into Banana and Company before boarding my ship. The ambiance of Banana and Company was so vibrant and inviting. Walking in, the wall designs are very eye-catching and set the tone for the upbeat service provided by the staff. As there is an abundance of options from smoothies, the coffee, and sweets, it was truly a hard decision to make as I wanted one of everything. LoL. As I couldn’t get one of everything, I decided on the Chai Latte. I went to the register, placed my order, received my number, and moved to the side. Once my order was ready, I headed to the pick-up area, provided my number and received my Latte. Babeeeeeeee… when I say wow, I mean WOW!!!!!! This was the freshest, most profound flavor dominating latte I have ever tasted. The vanilla was so fresh it was as if it was grown in the cup and infused into everything it took to make the Chai Latte. By the time I finished I was almost at the boat but I wanted to turn around and get another one. LoL!!!! Thank you to the Banana and Company staff for making such a great chai latte. Your skill and use of fresh ingredients is appreciated.

The Italian Coffee Company is a popular chain in Mexico, with one branch located in a shopping center at the corner of Ave. 30 and Calle 1. Locals prefer it over Starbucks, as it offers a bright and quiet atmosphere away from tourist crowds. The cafe serves a variety of hot and cold drinks, along with delicious cakes. Visitors can also purchase freshly ground coffee beans by the kilogram, receiving them warm and fragrant in a bag.
Served piping hot, I enjoyed tasty cappuccinos and cortados. The atmosphere is quiet, clean and reminiscent of a nice and proper cafeteria. Pastries are fresh and delicious! I encountered a very friendly staff:)
Emily B — Google review
Apparently. The frio drinks don't contain any coffee. It's just flavored ice and syrup. Very disappointing. My husband told me the chocolate Italiano has zero coffee. So. We won't be back. Guess will have to go to Starbucks. Too bad. I liked the drinks but not gonna have the calories with zero coffee.
Cynthia H — Google review
I was really glad to have 2 espressos with panna this morning in this bright and quiet cafe, away from the touristic crowds. They kindly ground coffee beans for me when I asked to purchase ½ a kg, and it was a pleasure to receive the bag still warm and fragrant. They seem to serve quite a variety of hot and cold drinks and the cakes looked good too.

Coco Cafe in Cozumel is a trendy spot offering a variety of breakfast and lunch options suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. The cafe is conveniently located within a short walking distance from the cruise ship terminal, making it an ideal stop for travelers. Visitors can enjoy delicious dishes such as pink hummus with beets and vegan bowls featuring cauliflower, sweet potatoes, and vegan meatballs.
Has the berry bliss smoothie and it was so delicious, possibly the best smoothie I have ever had. Highly recommend stopping in to cool off and have a tasty beverage. They also have a display case with some really yummy looking cakes you can buy a slice of.

Such a gem, and a welcome relief from the overly-touristy overpriced restaurants that have taken over Cozumel. Coco Cafe is relaxed and beautifully designed little place with absolutely fantastic food and truly wonderful staff. The bowls were to die for (especially recommend the Açaí and Coco bowls), and we also ate the falafel bowl which was fantastic. Fresh ingredients, beautiful plating, and reasonable prices. We came here 5+ times and enjoyed every visit. This place has great options for Vegans and Vegetarians as well. Next time we come to Cozumel, we’ll make sure we stay in walking distance if Coco.

My wife and I have eaten at Coco Cafe a few dozen times. We usually start our day here. Their food is excellent and we enjoy watching the people walk by. I will frequently get the overnight oats to go, and keep them in the fridge, if I can't get here the next morning. This year I tried the eggs Benedict. They are the best I've ever had. We're also fans of the chocolate cake. Oh... and I love the peanutbutter coffee. I've tried to duplicate their food and beverages when I at home. This is one of the things I look forward to about coming to Cozumel.

That’s how I wanted to celebrate my 40 th birthday. We pick up the cake and after dinner I cut this cake at the restaurant at palace elite and first piece on my place with a curly disgusting hair. That put me off so bad that I had to Ross off the entire cake and a piece tasted from the other side of the cake was absolutely disgusting. These owners operate the largest produce service on the island catering to restaurants and stores. This Cafeteria is also a nice fresh produce store in the making. About half is dedicated to food service while they are stocking little by little the fresh produce area as tourism returns things more to normal. The restaurant menu is typical local fare and is best for a reasonably priced breakfast or lunch. Eggs, omelettes, chiliquiles and lots of sandwich items for lunch rather than plate lunches. Not a real polished operation but the servers are nice, food is tasty, not a long wait for food to arrive and prices are reasonable. Do NOT confuse this store with their store on 65 ave - the employees there are just rude and not worth the bother of stopping in.
Sherri D — Google review
Understand this used to be a pretty well stocked grocery chain with otherwise hard to find items. Now basically a cafeteria for locals. Scanned the menu, looks like good prices for breakfast, but a bit out of the way. No groceries to speak of, couple of sad looking veggies. Take a pass unless you're looking for a cheap breakfast in blah surroundings.

I am blown away by this wonderful restaurant with delicious Home made food ! My husband and I have been staying in Cozumel for almost a month and I am going say , that after trying every day from fancy restaurant to Mercado Municipal this restaurant is by far the best place to eat for breakfast! The Buffett only serves on Sunday mornings( they only that have a la cart during the week ) it is spectacular busting with traditional Mexican flavors and the staff are so warm and kind . All for the low price of $7.00 per person all you can or drink . The restaurant also has a small market with quality fruits and veggies and a carnicería all in one packed for you . Everything is very nice and clean . Frances & Jesse Corrales From Las Vegas Nevada

A lukewarm Denny's stye establishment. The food is just okay. But it's inside and has central A/C. I had the Huevos Albanil breakfast plate, and it came out burning hot. So the eggs were comprised to a certain extent. It was still good, but never serve a boiling hot breakfast plate.

UPDATE: It has been 6 days and after e-mailing the company, as they requested in their response below, I have NOT received a response NOR a refund! I was trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt for responding so promptly and now radio silence. Not good customer service! DO NOT BUY VANILLA FROM HERE!! They sell water with a hint of vanilla, it is not the Mexican vanilla you are looking for. I am so disappointed because I trusted the shopping desk on our Royal Caribbean boat. They told me it was the best vanilla and to be sure to get the one with a blue cap. I do not understand why a company that seems to have a good reputation with their rum cakes would scam buyers with fake vanilla. Stick with what you know! I will be sure to tell anyone going to Cozumel to avoid this store and I will be informing Royal Carribean and suggesting they take it off of their preferred store list. I guess we supported the local economy with our purchase of 2 bottles, but it is just too bad that all we got was scented water. Vanilla was the one item I really wanted on our trip and now I will be wary of buying from locals again.
Theresa D — Google review
My sister and I primarily shopped at this store because it was highly recommended by Carnival. We were told to get the “blue top vanilla.” Both of us have several friends and family we wanted to buy for. The salesman, Philip, who was very nice, told us that both vanillas are double strength and to use half what the recipe calls for. I was so excited to give my friends the clear vanilla since they love to bake. When we returned home, I tried the clear and dark vanillas and they tasted like water. I was very disappointed to have apparently been ripped off. Please do not buy vanilla from this store. It will be a waste of your hard earned money.
Sharon — Google review
This shop was nice, the service was good and the rum cakes were delicious, but buyer beware on the vanilla. They give you samples to smell that are real vanilla but the big bottle I bought is just water. I wanted authentic Mexican vanilla and I am very disappointed. It makes me sad that I wanted to support Mexican economy and bring home a little bit of their culture and all they do is scam people.
Briana G — Google review
Amazing rum cakes! Love the vanilla, coconut and cinnamon! Free samples in the store and coupons from the ship! Went home with one, wishing we had bought more!

I bought $40 worth of their “vanilla” because this is the store that carnival recommended for real vanilla. They said “get the famous vanilla with the blue cap”. I didn’t open it to smell it till I got home a week later, and it is just very lightly flavored vanilla water. I was literally able to drink it it was so weak. I even brought some home for a friend and now I have to tell them that I got scammed. Avoid this store like the plague.

I have visited this shop each time I have had the luxury of coming to port in Cozumel. TOP notch customer service, great variety and always WELL stocked. My primary purchases have focused on Mexican Vanilla and Fire sauces as gifts. NOW they have expanded their variety to include COFFEE & Honey products. So Cakes-YES; Coffee-YES; Vanilla-YES; Honey-YES; Assorted fire sauces-YES; Great Service-YES YES YES!! The owner, Leslie, always goes above and beyond, ensuring a returning and loyal customer following! What are you waiting for? I will be back soon and plan to spend time at the coffee shop downtown as well....mmmmmMilkshakes!

Can’t be better, truly wonderful people, food and overall feeling! Best coffee on the island and place where you can work and talk, try their breakfast special or salad with beautiful bread. Espresso tonic or any method black coffee. Thank you guys x

Small cafe with very good coffee near the waterfront in centro. I also tried Maritozzi, Italian citrus bread filled with whipped cream, and it was also delicious. The coffee is the best I’ve tried so far on the island. Good variety of paninis, breakfast dishes, and desserts on the menu. Will definitely be back to try the paninis. Highly recommended.

Totally fantastic business model. A cafe inside of a dive shop. Seriously, what a pairing, one of Cozumel's best dive instructors teamed up with my favorite Italian restaurant on the island to create a center for food & culture to mix with top level scuba instruction & adventure dives. My wife and I probably eat here 3x/week and both the cafe staff and the dive shop staff feel like family. Great food, great people, can't ask for better than this.

This was a referral and it didn’t disappoint. Very clean. Good English. and above all my roast beef sandwich was amazing. Unfortunately I’m not a coffee drinker but my fiancé loved it.

Had an excellent americano and bagel with egg/veggies. Open early for a pre-dive breakfast. Good 3rd wave coffee.

(Translated by Google) The truth is, the frappes are delicious, but what I didn't like is the service, it's the second time I've gone and the treatment is not friendly at all, they don't serve you in a pleasant way, I would return for the taste of the frappes, but not for the attention. A recommendation is that if you are treated well in a place, you return. And this time it will no longer be like that. It's just something they can improve on. Greetings!! Saludos!!
