We visited during the Braderie weekend from London, Coffee Makers was great as their reduced menu was still exciting. We decided to go for the cinnamon toast and ham, egg and cheese croissant. Both were tasty, but the cream that came with the cinnamon toast was subtle and tasty. The caramel latte was luscious too. It has a buzz and a lively atmosphere which is nice. The staff are friendly and helpful with their service.

It was my first visit to France, and we discovered this cafe online. It had excellent reviews and offered "gluten-free options," which was exactly what my friend needed. Coffee Makers is a must go to if you visit Lille. I’ve tried their latte caramel, tigrou, chocolat au fountain, and tarte crumble fruit, and I was blown away. The quality and the taste of the pastry was simply delicious. The coffee was fresh and complimented the deserts well. The ambience of the place gave a heartwarming feeling and the staff were friendly and helpful, definitely recommend giving it a try!

I'm really surprised by some of the negative reviews here, as my experience was the complete opposite. I entered the shop and was given a really warm welcome. I can't speak French (I wish I could!) but the staff member was fine with that and was more than happy to speak English (and he spoke PERFECT English too!). I took a seat upstairs and enjoyed the atmosphere and the pleasant views of the city from there. The food and drink were really nice too 😋. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely return when I come back to Lille!

I stopped by Notting Hill Coffee this morning and it was such a lovely start to the day. With a perfect view of the Opéra de Lille right from the window seat, it’s hard to imagine a more charming breakfast setting. It's a nice coffee shop located in the centre of Lille. They have a lot of options of food and drinks, like cake, tea, smoothies, coffee and mocha and they also offer pasta salads. The environment is cozy with nice interior. We tried the coffee and smoothies and these were nice. Done by my 11 year old stepson

I loved the baked goods it was amazing. However the orange juice and hot chocolate wasn’t very good. The hot chocolate was cold and had a slight bitter taste and the orange juice had some bits in and was bitter too, but as it was freshly squeezed I didn’t expect much different. The view was great and was right in the main bit which meant whatever we wanted to do next was very close. The wait wasn’t long nor was waiting for the items it was just disappointing it didn’t live up to the standards.

The service was extremely slow. I waited over 10 minutes for a simple brewed filter coffee. One of the nicest cafes I know in Roubaix. Go for morning coffee and a breakfast bun, afternoon cakes, or lunch when they do an all in dish of the day for €17 including a soft drink and a cake. i was really disappointed, this place looked so cosy - and it was. but the food wasn’t great. i got the pancakes with maple syrup and fresh fruits. i doubt the pancakes were homemade (if the were, they had been baked earlier). there was way too much syrup, which made the pancakes all soggy and cold. and the presentation was terrible - it looked like they just smashed on a cup of fruit. really disappointed bc this seemed like a great place, really cosy to sit, but the lack of presentation ruined it for me. it didn’t look appetising ar all. i can’t believe i paid 3 euros extra for that fruit :( to be honest, the fresh orange juice tasted like it was store bought too. i don’t think they squeeze their own oranges. one thing i did like was a little sweet pastry that you get with your coffee. it was really, really tasty. i would get this on the go. but no pancakes anymore.

Advise anyone needing a proper coffee, nicer bagels,good service and free toilets to head up to Noya Bagel & Bar up above Hall 1. Wish we'd bothered to look around before settling for this mediocrity . Also don't bother with a reply. It doesn't seem any other bad reviews have been taken on board and I doubt you're truly sorry about our bad experience...your staff certainly weren't.
