Had a lovely breakfast, staff were excellent. Also fabulous range of homemade stones and cakes. Couldn't really fault it.

Glad I walked further, past the main street in Newport-on-Tay and so found this lovely little cafe. Only had a coffee but it was good. Sat outside enjoying the views over the Tay estuary then went inside to get better wifi.

Lovely walk across bridge rewarded with afternoon tea and cakes. Good selection, staff very friendly and helpful. Casual outside seating available.

Such a lovely experience as always! The food is delicious and the staff were so kind and caring. I went in for a little pick me up after very little sleep last night and came away not only on a sugar high (My cake was huge) but also on an emotional high. The owner of the cafe made me feel so welcome and was my second arm pouring my juice when my little one fell asleep on me. The staff go above and beyond to make you have a lovely relaxing experience and I would highly recommend. x

Went today with my children and definitely not the standard you expect for the prices. £8.75 for a soggy microwaved macaroni pie, which is un-priced in the cake cabinet so I was very shocked at the bill, I thought that was absolutely craaazy it was only served with a handful of bagged salad and old grated carrot. Stale cake which they did apologise about but I just think for the prices you expect better. We thought the stale cake was just a mistake as it was the last few slices of that one but when we went to the counter to look at the tray bakes you could see mould starting to form on the mars bar crispy and a couple other tray bakes. NOTHING tasted fresh apart from the burger wrap. Needless to say we left without any cakes as we were totally put off.

We got great weather and enjoy our seat outside. However the food standard didn’t match the expectation or price. With the fish and chips we were served oven processed chips, we were told after complaining they had ran out of hand cut chips during lunch service. If we had been told before ordering we would have definitely changed the order. We were still charged full price for both our fish and chips which was disappointing and poor service. As you can see below we also had the scallop starter which was £15 for 2 scallops

Amazing food, I recommend the Vietnamese fish kebab, it was amazing, tender, full of flavour and not overcooked! The scallops were so fresh. We are sitting in one of the tables outdoor under the porch admiring the coast. This is a very special place.

We had a great experience and will definitely return the next time we visit the East Neuk. We sat outside and it was a lovely and peaceful atmosphere. The food (shared starters then main course) was very special, and delicious. Lovely drinks, stunning views. Got 2 x kids fish and chips which were perfect for 8 and 11 year old. The service was friendly, warm and efficient, but we never ever felt rushed. Thank you, and we will be back!

Mostly this a note on reservations. I looked at the website multiple times, and it looked like they were only required for dinner. But when we showed up for lunch, they said it was reservation only. We ate in the outside area. It was ok weather, so it was still a nice lunch. The food is very tasty. But it would have been more pleasant to eat inside. (There's a lot of seaweed flies outside.) I peaked upstairs before and after our meal, the inside dining room was half empty both times. So it wasn't so much a matter of being fully booked. I think it's more that the reservation is just required to sit inside. So long story short -- make reservations for lunch. I think you will enjoy it much more.

We came for lunch and the food was lovely. We had the mackerel pate and the roasted octopus - amazing! For mains we had the whole Lobster Thermidor 🦞 with chips and smoked king prawns 🍤 . The taste was unique on the smoked prawns but the Asian dip was nice 👌🏼. It gets busy so always best to book as they do not take walk ins x The staff are attentive and very friendly x

We had the hot smoked salmon n chips and the seafood stew. Very tasty, decent portion sizes

This is a great place and used to only be open in the summer months. But we went today and had a lively surprise as they are OPEN for Autumn too! Must still be a little.known secret .... cos today is ONLY visit in years when it hasn't been totally jam packed.

Great little neighborhood place. Staff was so kind and wonderful. Easy to get a table and order at the bar. The restaurant is wonderfully decorated. We tried a variety of dishes! Great selection of beers and all other drinks. Lots of TVs for sports!

A very, very nice Green King pub! The food, though from the standard menu, was of better quality and beautifully presented. They had a great drink selection, especially Thatchers ciders. The staff were brilliant, and the pub was spotless! We'll 100% recommend you in our 2026 tours. Was there for a mates birthday with a few people and had a great night, had the sirloin steak and it was brilliant went up to the bar and guy called Jordan was serving us at the bar and made up an incredible cocktails for my mates and I, it was the best cocktail we have ever have. Can't recommend this place enough will definitely be back.

We both had the mixed grill and every element was cooked well. Pudding was lovely. Great prices, good food, friendly staff and convenient location as it is in the town centre and close to a large car park.

Great pub. I've been here several times on two trips to Scotland. On our most recent trip Jordan was a great bartender. Cheerful and friendly with great service and advice for fun things to do and see.

This is one of my favourite places to eat. It's fresh, good quality food. The service is efficient and friendly. The senior options on menus is perfect for myself and my partner, at our age we don't have a huge appetite. I like the fact that it's dog friendly too. Thankyou for a lovely meal and a relaxing time. The only thing I would say is we noticed our table was right Infront of a fire exit door, which we think could be a problem in the event of a fire.

The food was very good I had chicken wings and they were cooked perfectly, my gran and grandad had sweet chilli chicken wraps and they said it was good, service came quick and the decoration was nice. For kids drink I would recommend the apple juice good size and taste is Nice.

After parking, which was easy, we entered the eatery and was greeted, firstly by the amazing aromas of coffee and food, then by our lovely waitress with her warm welcoming smile. We were seated... by the radiator, I might add! We were given our menus and a drinks order taken, which was a flat white with caramel along with a latte. My latte was very welcomed with cold open hands awaiting eagerly for the heat of this, what turned out to be, well, hot liquid velvet. It was wonderful. Our food order consisted of the 6oz burger with bacon and cheese with the largest chips I have ever seen. Like, I mean take an old Nokia and cut it in four...I kid you not, they were huuuge. Sadly, I didn't capture a photo... There wasn't time for that, i did get the cakes though😉. I decided on having a tuna melt. After having clocked the cake counter, I was for sure leaving room. It came served with coleslaw and side salad, which looked amazing. Now the best bit...cake. I had for myself, after a lot of indecision carrot cake. It really is as good as it looks. Dense, moist, fruity, spicy and buttery, a small slice of heaven on a plate. My partner had a fruit scone with jam and butter. It was also large, waaay bigger than a tea cup! I didn't get a taste, but it looked really good. The spiced pear scone was my other choice. I feel that the prices are very fair in return for what you get. Great food, great atmosphere and great staff At the end of the day, I have my doubts about eating out. Very few places " thrill me" truth be told. But this wee nugget did just that. I can't wait to go back to sample more of that amazing food, a huge kudos for the kitchen is deserved. You really will have to find out for yourself...til I go back and take photos.

We stopped here on a tour. This place is very cute and has several great desserts. My husband and I sat down and ordered some drinks and cakes. Both were very good. The older grey haired lady was not the most pleasant. Was very short with me. However, the little red-haired girl was so sweet and pleasant. So I gave a 5 for her being so sweet.

I've been here twice now and the food is incredible. Well worth the price. The staff are always super lovely as well. Their chai latte is the best around!

Friendly and efficient staff. Bacon and Brie panini with potato and leek soup was delicious. They were happy to accomodate a single guest dining alone. Lovely view of the square (where Jamie Fraser watches Claire Randell in the window of the inn where she stays with Frank at the beginning of the Outlander series if you’re a fan).

Only had coffee on this visit but food and cakes looked very appetizing. Prices were standard and the cafe was laid out well in a nice clean environment.

Lovely little cafe! Modern and spotlessly clean, they serve great coffee and an absolutely great brunch (get their Eggs Benedict with haggis, black pudding and tattie scone), in the wonderful village of Falkland. Nice views of the village as well.

The Bach is located in the city centre, but parking is a bit far—so be ready for a short walk. The interior is well-designed and inviting, with a dog-friendly setup and seating options that work for everyone. I tried one of their smoothies, which was really good. However, for an Indian palate, I found the food a bit bland. Also, if you ask for a dip or sauce, they charge an extra pound, which felt a bit much. That said, the overall experience was positive—especially for first-timers who enjoy exploring new cuisines. Portion sizes were decent too

I visited this spot on 3rd September and I have to say, I was really impressed. The vibe of the place is so chill and cozy. It’s the kind of atmosphere where you can just relax and enjoy your meal. The interior is also really well done, giving it an inviting feel. If you're ever looking for a place to unwind, this is definitely one to check out. I decided to try their Fried Vegan Breakfast and wow, the spread was amazing. Every element was fresh, flavorful, and really hit the spot. Just a heads-up, though, they do charge a little extra if you want bread with your breakfast, which was a bit of a surprise, but still worth it for the quality. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering something for everyone, but keep in mind the prices are a bit on the steeper side. Still, if you’re into exploring different cuisines and appreciate a cozy dining experience, it’s totally worth it. Overall, it was a really good experience and I will definitely be back to try more of their offerings. If you love discovering new places and enjoy tasty, well-prepared meals, this one’s a gem!

Came here for lunch, we were advised it would take about 30 minutes to get our food as it was pretty much full. We ordered the Cabbie burger and the French Toast, we also recieved a complimentary taster from the dinner menu that was pork (forgot the actual name but the man who served us it was very lovely and did fully explain the dish). All the food was delicious, no notes. We also had an iced chai latte and an iced mocha, also delicious and also no notes. The Bach is the best place in town in regards to having a variety of food for brunch, it is incredibly busy often for a reason!

Full disclosure before I start - I'm a Kiwi, so I'm a little biased about this wonderful gem. Dundee, you are so lucky to have this cafe. The menu was so varied that it was hard to decide. They take brunch seriously here, and that's reflected in their offerings. My korean fried chicken was delicious and served on a light cornmeal waffle. I loved the touch of pickled veges. Coffee's were great. On top of that, they've got a range of Kiwi treats on offer as well. The Bach ppl - if you're reading this, please know you're awesome. If there was one thing that jarred, it was the music choice. Nirvana at 10am on a Thursday wasn't quite the vibe we were expecting. Bring on Fat Freddys and crowded house (or, you know, a little more chill). ❤️

Beware, the menu changes late afternoon. I came with a menu item in mind only to have missed the option by 20 minutes! The evening menu provides a good range of choices. So my Morrocan Carrots and Sweet Potato Fries substituted to provide an interesting range of tastes. The Spirulina cold drink went well with the food. The capuccino is the best I've tried in Dundee... so far!

Giggling because google didn’t suggest this place. Now seeing the reviews, we are the ignorant and can confirm well worth a visit. We stumbled in tonight (Friday) and were so pleasantly surprised with the quality across the board. Kiwis did it right. Tomahawk was the star, everything else also delish. Atmosphere is a bit odd but you can actually hear each other and it all works. Very much enjoyed!!!

This was my 3rd visit to Jack o Bryan’s for their lunch menu, Unfortunately this visit I was so disappointed with the food and service. To start with the food, we ordered 6 dishes and only thought 2 out of 6 were lovely. The warm sourdough and black pig butter was delicious, also the roasted cauliflower was lovely. The other dishes were very confused and most of the flavourings did not work well. We ordered the beef tar tar (which previously I have loved) but this was not pleasant… the flavours over powdered what should have been the star of the dish the beef. The Lamb Yaki was nice although once cutting of the fat that was not edible you really only got 2 mouthfuls each and this dish is £16. The soft shell crab was over cooked very small and the sauce that comes with it did not work with the crab was actually really odd to have a fish dish with soft peppers and a pepper/peri peri sauce. The black pudding caramelised onion and blue cheese dish was ok but it just 2 small bits of black pudding with what tasted like onion chutney and a cheese sauce with no hints of blue cheese and again these flavours are odd together. Overall I think for £70 for 6 dishes I would expected more could get a far better filling lunch else where for less than that. The two times I have previously visited here I loved it but this time the flavours were confused and over priced for what you get. The front of house lady who took us to our table was very unpleasant and not friendly. Never smiled once. When I asked for a new plate you’d think I asked her for £20 with her reaction. Also when we were happy drinking water and not adding drinks or wine her fave was tripping her. If it’s the first person who greets your customers I’d advise getting someone more friendly with a smile.. made for an unpleasant atmosphere and we were in and out in 45min.

The bar and kitchen is an amazing setup and the design and layout complements the dining experience with great food and the presentation make the mouth water at the detail that has gone into making you experience world class food from an amazing chef. To have the owner take time to explain how he produces great food and the chocolate on offer made my day. I would highly recommend a visit and enjoy the dining experience.

Quite excellent food overall, although I found some of it over-seasoned, and meat a little fatty. Overpriced - mains (already min. £30+ each) require addition of sides separately, which is not clear from menu online. Automatic service charge which I really dislike, although staff were attentive. Automatic charitable donations also really disliked. Just a regular bill please

Food was the best part but they need to be clearer about the ingredients on the menu and ask guests in advance if they have allergies or dietary restrictions. The main server is great but the rest looked and acted like they didn’t want to be there. For a fine dining restaurant with such a high price point the experience wasn’t worth it. The restaurant isn’t designed properly, and it’s decorated like a cafe rather than a restaurant serving fine dining. If you’re going to spend £60-80 per person better to go somewhere in Edinburgh. Also, they take a flat service charge.

Very very good! Food beyond fantastic. The service excellent and the atmosphere perfect. A few things with their customer facing terms and conditions could be done much better, but something you can overlook when it’s great food. Would highly recommend. 5/5

We went here for dinner after receiving several recommendations and were not disappointed. Our server was superb. He alone was five stars, a true professional. As the food arrived, we continued to be impressed with the quality and presentation. The night we went was relatively quiet, with only four other couples, so it was hard to grade the atmosphere. The room was nice but a little bright for me; however, this didn't stop me from grading this superb restaurant as a 5-star experience, and I would highly advise you to try it for yourself.

We took my mother there for her birthday, and the food and service were outstanding. They can't cater to all dietary restrictions, but I had no problem eating gluten free. Love the atmosphere of the place as well...I found the lighting a bit bright at our table (we were seated at the front of the restaurant) but staff dimmed lighting upon request and then it was perfect. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem and a stones throw from the beach. Friendly and helpful staff, good sized rooms with a nice sea view. We both had an excellent nights sleep in a comfy bed with zero noise from eleven o’clock onwards. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. A good variation of food for all tastes on the menu. Will definitely stay again.

As usual the food in the sands was tasty and cooked well. Tonight we lacked the crusty bread you would expect with a bean lamb casserole. Fish dish also had a great sauce but why no bread to sup up the delicious creamy fish sauce. It’s these small touches that will push you guys to the next level.

Stopped here for a drink and snack. Very nice place , relaxing, good place to share time with family. The team is nice and professional. I got the tacos, was simple but good enough for what I wanted. I ll come back to try different dishes that look interesting. Thanks to the team.

Went for lunch with family. Was told we would be served in garden. Waited a long time and the waitress fussed about everyone else then went away. Ordered my drinks at bar and was told we would have menus taken to us. Waited...and Waited...eventually went in and got our own menus. Waited Waited...then went in to order as again the waitress tended to everyone but us. Food came...they forgot the sides..had to go in after I finished to request the other things we ordered. Service was terrible...it wasn't even that busy (a few tables outside but mostly people drinking). Disappointing, won't be returning. Since visiting, I've actually heard similar feedback from others.

Came in here for lunch, the beer garden is really big and has a lovely park for kids. Dog friendly, not sure about inside. Food was lovely. Staff were not to bad the lady looked unhappy who served us.

Very friendly staff who were quick to respond to our drinks and food requests. All food was delicious but a bit less cheese topping and more lasagne would be good. Garlic bread was more bread than garlic. The side salad was delicious, especially the dressing. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Absolutely delicious! The mini rhubarb pie was so good perfectly sweet and tart I could eat 20 easily and I was tempted. The coffee tower cream was so soft and fluffy. The strawberry tarts were good too! The actual strawberries on top were perfect. and on top of that everything looks amazing. Incredibly reasonable pricing, cheap compared to most bakery's

Traditional bakery with a nice twist of coffee for a £1 👍. Ths croissants were superb as was the malted multi-seeded whole meal bread Amazing flavours of seeds and nuts. This will be a regular stop, but get here early as they run out fast.

Such a cute spot throwing out some heavy hitting donuts. We got the local favorite which was the fudge donut and it was life changing. Not too sweet, great fluff, and great flavors. Definitely make a stop and get one or two or three!

WoW that was something I kept repeating as I tried their different pastries - the best coffee cream I have ever had and one of the best doughnuts ever - their pastries were so fresh and so well priced - I can come back to St Andrews only for this it was that good. Not very overpowering sweet and yet so fresh and tasty. Strongly recommend.

Had a steak pie and a yum yum. The pie reminded me of the pies I liked in Australia 😋 The yum yum was pretty good too, almost as good as one from Greggs! The young guy serving was delightfully helpful, so don't be influenced by the people who gave low scores for service here.

We were meeting a friend who suggested this cafe as having a good reputation amongst the locals, and we definitely don't regret it. It's bigger than you think, the people are friendly and the food is good. We started by having coffee, and ended up staying quite a bit longer and having a delicious Cullen Skink - full of flavour. Good coffee too. There is a small step at the entrance, and another about half way down the cafe - something to bear in mind if you use a wheelchair, although I'm sure they would help. There is Blue Badge parking just across the road, which is helpful.

Wonderful, light-filled cafe on the main street in Pittenweem with friendly young staff and delicious food. Our smoked salmon eggs benedict was to die for.

Popped into the Clock Tower Cafe very busy, but we had a table within 5 mins. We had the fruit scones with butter and jam 1 mug of cappuccino and 1 pot of tea 🍵 all well presented and on the table within a few minutes. Well done. The cafe was spotless. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend if you're in Pittenweem.

I have been to Empire State Coffee twice now, and I absolutely loved both the dark and white hot chocolate. They were rich, smooth, and delicious! The atmosphere was really nice, chill, and perfect for relaxing on my own. The service was great, too, which made the experience even better.

Awesome sourdough croissants! So good I had to order a second one...the first was ham and cheese, the second with jam! Great coffee too!

We saw this, and immediately thought; 'good coffee'. WRONG! We both had lattes, they took almost fifteen minutes to come, and we're searingly hot and hardly any flavour! Disappointed.

Chanced upon this amazing cafe in Dundee city centre. Great ambience for small group meets up and chit chat. The savoury pastries were amazing and the latte was aromatic. As you can see they have a wide variety of sweet and savoury pastries for your selection.

What can I say.. 3rd time visiting while in Dundee, This is a must for grabbing a bite to eat-just look at these sandwiches 🤤🤤 and the coffee-amazing. Staff helpful and lovely atmosphere. Will always recommend ❤️ Thank you for having us

I enjoy going here. Nice place, atmosphere and staff. Food disappointing on my last visit, an aubergine burger, which was dripping/ pouring liquid out of it. It was cut too thick, and aubengine needs to be dried out - it hadn't been. Despite this, still three stars, I'm hoping for better next time!

First time I've had lunch with my friend in here. The menu is really good with plenty of choice. I had the avocado with poached eggs which I have to add were the best poached eggs I've ever had on sourdough toast with tomato salsa it was lovely. My friend had a toasted sandwich which was a healthy portion. We both had cake the chocolate orange was amazing best cake I've had in a long time. Good value for money and the staff were really nice too. I'll definitely be returning here and I've already recommended it to family and friends.

Lovely café restaurant! Very wheelchair accessible and helpful staff. Most delicious Earl Grey tea I've ever had! On Sundays, they serve a full Scottish breakfast. Car park isn't far away either.

We have enjoyed visiting here several times but Saturday 22nd March was rather disappointing. We ordered beer and the barrel needed to be changed. 2 of the 3 members of staff went to change it. Around 10 minutes later they both reappeared and neither of them came back to serve us. Poor service. Having worked in a bar I was amazed that it took so long to change a barrel. The guys playing music were good and despite poor service the bar staff were friendly. The young guy was particularly helpful and ended up serving us.

Remember it as a working fire station! Brilliant to see it in its new lease of life. Sid's Garage sounded amazing such are the acoustics of the building.

Wow! We visited The Rhynd for their July Wine Safari and Forest Feast. From booking to the forest taxi back to The Rhynd Café itself, first class. This experience is a must and if The Rhynd do everything else they offer, half as good as they do feasts in the forest, you are in for an absolute treat. Five stars, would recommend, not to be missed. Thanks to the team.

We got married at The Rhynd and it was such a superb venue. Having it from Thursday meant to we could set it all up and relax on the Friday. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, big dance floor and rustic charm! Lisa was also fantastic and on hand to help if you need it.

We got married at the Rhynd in May. We had the best day and it was the loveliest place to have all our family and friends together to celebrate. Being able to use the farmhouse as well was so convenient and was a great space for social and quiet moments. The space itself was so versatile and we felt we were totally able to make it our own. We are so so pleased we chose the Rhynd as our venue we couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect place and are so grateful for the help and guidance from Lisa and her team to make the day perfect.

Tasty food, rustic and fascinating decor, great atmosphere and good value. The butternut squash soup was the best I've ever had. Never had a bad meal in the Rhynd, it's such a delightful brunch spot. A true hidden gem of North East Fife - never drive past, always pop in for a delicious meal or even just a perfect cup of coffee and cake. The staff are just lovely and always go the extra mile - Dorota, Athene and Mia were so helpful and friendly. Really puts a smile on my face coming in here.

My favourite place for breakfast! Location is lovely situated in an old farm barn with views across the surrounding fields to Tentsmuir forest. The food is delicious. Highly recommend the Olivia for breakfast (this is their breakfast wrap - you won't be disappointed) but you won't go wrong with anything else on the menu either. Staff are amazing. They make everyone feel so welcome I cannot sing their praises highly enough! Amazing Cafe!!!!

It's a great event, really good turnout with loads of cars from all periods. Don't cue up for the hot rolls though - they're stone cold by thr time you get to end of the queue😉

We booked The Rhynd for our wedding after falling in love with the space. We have a family connection to the area and we loved the big open space The Rhynd offered and the fact that (for our numbers of 84) the dining space and dance floor were separate. We were very lucky that we were blessed with amazing weather and held our ceremony and drinks reception outside. We also booked the farmhouse for the wedding party and it was so lovely to be on site and make a weekend of it. We loved that you can get into the venue from the Thursday and aren't rushed out on the Sunday so can really enjoy your time and set up etc as you please. So glad we can return to use the cafe in future too as the The Rhynd is now so special to us.

The best cafe in Glenrothes. Delicious food made with quality ingredients. Very good prices and amazing service you can tell is based strongly in Christian ethics. The cafe is also well known for it's contribution to supporting local disadvantaged people such as addicts.

Nice unusual place to stop for a break. A very tasty selection of beers amd ciders. Not sure how long it is there for but there was a very large art exhibition ? A few small places to buy different foods within The Bowhouse. Plenty of free parking. Customers toilets were nice and clean.

Very disappointed with our visit. Baern café was shut, only the butcher appeared to be open in the market area, Futtle beer was open but the folk behind the bar didn’t seem interested in us and would same the same for the small kitchen shop. Overall a cold reception from the few places that were actually open. Drove over to Balgove Larder just south of St Andrews which was busy, vibrant, welcoming and absolutely teeming with food & goods to buy.

Went to the farmers market weekend, what a fantastic afternoon we had, the stalls were lovely and all the produce looked so fresh. Bought a sausage roll, as we usually do. They are the best and most filling we've ever had, bacon and chicken was awesome. Definitely worth a visit, the street food and love band made it even better.

Great place for a visit and to sample local produce. There was a large art gallery with works of art for sale during our visit. There is a marketplace with lots of different stalls selling a variety of local fare, food, drink and foodstuffs on at certain times of the month but not on this visit. The permanent shops however, we're open.

The cafe presented an intriguing experience. The coffee's unexpected flavor profile, reminiscent of beer, was less than desirable. While the food was adequate, it did not stand out. The available shopping selections were somewhat restricted, leading to a slightly underwhelming overall impression. It is important to note that our visit occurred during a weekday, and the experience may be enhanced during market days.

Visited on a summer market day, great place to browse and buy from local artists, crafts people and producers. Everything from a bottle of gin, to a artisan sausage roll! The Futtle brewery is great as well (permanent fixture at Bowhouse) we grabbed some beers and all ate from a selection of street food vendors that attend market days.

I enjoy this place! I stumbled upon it about a year ago, just after it opened, and I've been fond of it ever since. You might not expect it, but their coffee from middle-name roasters is surprisingly good. The food is good too; I've always liked their shakshuka, but lately, it has transformed into something more like roasted vegetables than the comforting tomatoes and eggs for breakfast. The location is central, making it easy to find, yet it feels like a little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. My favourite time to visit is for a quiet brunch during the week when it’s a bit calmer. It’s a lovely escape!

Seriously, seriously impressed. This is one of the best brunch spots I’ve ever been to. It’s a shame I’m not local as I’d be here every week. The menu is interesting and the food is top drawer. Service with a smile and the passion from all involved is clear. I will be back every time I’m in Dundee!

Lovely decor and cozy place. We only had one hour before heading back home and walking around in town centre looking for a nice cafe to spend our last hour in Dundee. We are so glad we chose this place. Hot chocolate, mocha & soup (tomato & red pepper) all so delicious!! It was quite busy but the staff were very attentive & friendly. Would definitely come back here to try something else as the food menu looked so good.

I visited this place on 1st September and was honestly so impressed by the decor and interior. The vibe here is perfect, not too crowded like some other places, and it really gave me a sense of calm. It is the kind of spot where you can just relax, enjoy your meal, and take your time. I decided to try something a bit different and went for the Shakshuka, and I am so glad I did. It was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and just really comforting. The only thing I would change is the portion size, though. It was great, but I definitely could have eaten more! The prices are on the higher side, but honestly, if you enjoy trying out new places and different cuisines, I think it’s worth it. To go with my Shakshuka, I also had a cup of hot chocolate, which was both refreshing and yummy. Overall, I had a really good experience here. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was just what I was looking for. If you like places with a quiet, chill vibe, you will definitely enjoy this one.

Truly spectacular experience today. Stopped with my mother to get lunch. We both got the soup of the day, a polish Grochówka, (split peas, lentils, carrot, potato, veg) which was served with whipped butter and toasted sourdough bread. The taste was superb and genuinely one of the best soups I have ever had. The bread was also excellent and came out nice and warm. Perfectly portioned servings, and my mother liked her coffee. I had asked for hot water which was supplied at no additional charge. Our server was utterly lovely and our food came out in no time. Incredibly reasonable pricing, both my mother and I were able to get food and drinks for £16. The general atmosphere of the café was amazing too, the decoration and the lighting made it feel very warm and welcoming. There were some seasonal options (coffee flavours/styles) as well as regularly changing menus for baking, soup and pierogi fillings. I will 100% be returning to try more of the menu and the drinks and I have a few friends I know would love this place.

Popped in for a breakfast about 9.20 am. It was quite busy. Food was great. Full cooked breakfast and coffee. I didn't eat again until late evening. Such an amount. Service was attentive and friendly. Coffee was good too albeit a small cup. ( I prefer a big cup) Loved it nonetheless. Would highly recommend Steneckis. I will go back.

popped in for the first time today after seeing this place on a walk and it was absolutely worth it! the atmosphere is lovely and calm, even cozy though not feeling cramped. onto the food, the toast with yuzu butter was absolutely phenomenal, citrusy but nowhere near overwhelming and beyond lovely! the lavender lemonade was just the cherry on top of it all, so nice and refreshing. servers were absolutely lovely and them being dog friendly is a plus too, overall I will definitely be back. :)

Went here today for breakfast, noticed it a few times when I have been in Dunfermline so thought we will give it a try. I had the Smoked Tofu Goulash and for a drink I had Blue Lady (floral tea). First of all the Blue Lady was so refreshing with an amazing scent to it that wasn't too strong. The Goulash, well, I had never had goulash before and didn't know what it was by my. God was it incredible. The heat from it then the cream on top, simple incredible. The bread was perfect aswell. Genuinely can't fault anything. With my experience here, the place is beautiful decorated, just gives the essence of fresh was and you can tell that the food is going to be fresh when you get it. Service was top notch, between ordering and receiving our food seemed like no time at all. I will definitely be back and look forward to try more food from here.

Lovely new Café! I'm not vegan but the food was amazing! The rose flavoured latte was so different but so good! The whole menu has so much I'd love to try. The girls working there were so lovely and the cakes they made looked phenomenal! Will definitely be back!

A lovely charming atmosphere with helpful staff, delicious pastries and coffee. The sandwich was full of flavour and the bread was delicious and moist. We had a pie too but found it too oily, and the salad sides were quite dry. Over all though, the coffee was lush and we loved the pastries. The staff were welcoming and kind too so would definitely recommend!

Enjoyed a very tasty lunch in the Dundee Espresso Lab. The bacon, brie and cranberry focaccia was out of this world, flat white coffee perfect, and I don’t know how I also managed two of their artisan cannoli. But I did! Came in for a wee drink as it was warm outside. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere. Incredibly fast service. We had the strawberry milkshake which was very nice and the right amount of sweetness. Iced latte was so cool, perfect for a warm summers day. The pistachio cannoli was very nice, almost as nice as you get it from Italy. Salted caramel was a delicious sweet treat. Would definitely be back as we were planning our next visit whilst still there. Could not fault anything, a little hidden gem. Looking forward to seeing yous again in a few weeks

The harbour cafe has been here for decades and is much quieter than the toastie shop at East Sands. Seating outside and inside. Lots of things to buy, but go for fish and chips. Cheap, and sensible portions

Lovely find! Looks like a family run shop or had that feel to it. Shop had a seaside rustic look which was no bother to us. We decided to have the tattie soup with a Scottish roll.. home made soup went down like a treat! Staff friendly even though it was busy, anyone giving low reviews must just be miserable and easily disappointed in life.

I recently visited this coffee shop and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent coffee. Having tried numerous coffee shops around the UK, this one stands out as my favorite. The barista, Fraser, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which makes me eager to return.

Dundee finally has a real home for espresso enthusiasts and I couldn't be happier. Do you like outstanding coffee? Excellent service? A warm atmosphere and a place where the regulars feel like a community? Fraser and the team deliver it all in a cosy venue on the always lively Perth Road. If you're a fan of espresso, you'll be delighted. They care a great deal about their beans and equipment, ask them and you'll see just how much passion there is. Every shot I've had has been well dialled-in, well-extracted, and milk drinks have just the right amount of sweetness and balance that I love to see - so many places go too sweet, but here you get a well proportioned cup no matter the style. Batch brew is always on point, delivered by a Moccamaster, and I'd strongly recommend it if you come by to spend some time on a crossword or something. The food selection is also lovely - there's a focused selection of cakes, bakes, and bagels to enjoy and I would strongly recommend giving them a go. They source from independent Scottish bakeries and their brownies are absolutely decadent. I cannot compliment the staff and vibe enough. I simply adore the place, it feels like a second home and it's a treat to just come by and enjoy the place for a few hours. There's always room for a good conversation, the music choices are pleasant, and the staff are always friendly but real. No nonsense, just honest and lovely people who really do care about what they do and are passionate about learning and improving all the time. It's got an indie charm that you just don't get anywhere else. EH9 is Dundee's latest gem, and you owe it to yourself to come by and try it if you're passionate about coffee at any level. I think you'll enjoy yourself. UPDATE (Feb 2022): EH9 remains THE place for good coffee in town having really grown into its niche and, much to my pleasure, I've experienced the other side of the bar now too. I trialled one of Fraser's barista beginner's sessions to get a feel for the flow of making espresso in a professional environment and it was a really pleasant experience! Fraser was patient and instructive and we built on what I knew from home espresso to shape up my game on commercial equipment with a lesson tailored to what experience I had so far. I learned a lot and took that knowledge home, now even my home espresso game is sharper than before! Fraser's taking interest if anyone else wants some training behind the bar too, just contact the shop to express your interest and learn more. ★★★★★

Went to the Shoregate pub last week to listen to traditional Scottish music. It happens once a month. Musicians jamming, playing for pleasure not a performance as such. Very chilled. The place was packed - it was a lovely hot night in beautiful Crail. People were friendly. I didn't eat but this place has a great reputation for lovely food. I didn't stay in the hotel

I have visited the Bowhouse on a few occasions but mainly for the butcher or the shops, any time we have visited it has always been after breakfast or lunch and never been hungry enough to visit the café, but we made room on this occasion to grab a coffee and some goodies to go. Flat white was perfect and we picked up a focaccia, roast potato, cranberry and rosemary, oh my word, this was incredibly tasty and wish I picked up more, the bread was perfect, olive oil, lush and perfectly garlic and salty, but the roast potatoes, mmm then the balance of the sweet yet slightly tart cranberries was just incredibly moreish. The café is beautifully rust and chic, with an absolutely stunning viewing window out over the fields.

Arrived here late, and there were 2 slices of quiche/tart left as everything else was sold out. It was absolutely delicious. Best I've tasted, and it had strawberries in it, which surprisingly really worked. Will definitely make the effort to go back, even though it's almost 2 hours away. I'd say this is a gourmet food kind of place. The staff were really friendly and the owner was really nice. Would recommend to anyone going up that way.

Beer heaven! Best beer shop in Scotland and such a great wee community feel to the place too. I visit here everytime I’m in Dunfermline (sometimes visit Dunfermline just to come here to be honest) Colin is very knowledgeable about the beers he sells and quick with a bit of banter.

Came across this shop recently as needed to find local shop that sold Vault City (among others) without going all the way to Edinburgh. Stopped by with our dogs and enjoyed a few half’s before getting a wee carry out for home. Great selection of beer and lovely advice/chat from Colin. Will definitely be regulars now and looking forward to next visit.

This wee shop and taproom never fails to disappoint. It's just a shame I don't visit enough (I'll change that) The selection of beers, stout's, gose's, sour's etc (and ice cream) on offer is brilliant. It's always good to see Basqueland (Spanish masters) in particular and just now, Amundsen (Norwegian bampots with their 12% stouts) is on tap. Colin is an extremely passionate owner who obviously has a passion for quality brewing and Star Wars and will offer up advice on what to try out. There's loads of quality places to visit in the City. Just make sure CCBM is one of your destinations.

Always call in here when visiting family. This is the first time here since the bar has been taken over. They’ve done a great job with the refurbishment which is almost complete. Good selection of beers. Draft beer very good quality. Was a bit concerned about a review about watered down drinks but our drinks certainly weren’t watered down. Once the refurb is fully finished this place will be a local gem. Would recommend this bar for a great welcome and good beer 👍🏻

This is a very friendly place to have a Sunday afternoon,We were at a charity event to save the pit cage that has to be refinished and transported to Lochore Meadows all the groups that played were very good and I think everyone had time.

My first visit to this small cafe, located in the park and pleased to find it and keen to return! Especially with my friend who has a dog, as it’s dog friendly. Tasty cappuccino and fruit loaf. Good service. Only criticism is no toilets for customers. Interesting art work on the walls. Background music not too intrusive; can’t make it out but pleasant beat. Will be back soon!

About a 10 minute drive from the heart of St Andrews and you get welcomed by the barn-like larder, with herbs grown outdoors. Service is friendly and the coffee is good! Love the little store near the entrance. It has everything. Lovely ambience esp if you're sitting facing the windows looking out. Def will be back to try more of the items on the menu

On our way to another site, we took a wrong turn and chanced upon this lovely setting. The grocery looked wonderful with a great selection of locally sourced food. The review was for their food. We decided to try their food alfresco. I would sadly say that what we ordered was competent at best.

We had a great lunch the 3 of us ordered sandwiches and they were fantastic. We had a selection of teas and coffee and everything arrived in a timely fashion. We spent around 20 pounds and overall had a great experience. If you want wifi that is free and plenty of options for gluten free also.

Came last night for the burger - great quality, good vibes on a Friday night about 7pm (busy!) but great quick service. Recommend.

Lovely wee farm with plenty of beautiful, organic, and handmade products; really enjoy our visit every time we come here. However, we were a bit disappointed with the butcher's. We’ve bought meat there three times, and on two occasions, the beef steak and pork ribs were unfortunately off and had to be thrown away. It would be great if the quality could be checked a bit more carefully in future.

Great choice of products and a cute cafe. The hot chocolate was super chocolatey, also the cakes all very rich in flavor and almost unfinishable. The scones were delicious too!

The host and staff are super attentive. Our dog was welcome and even scored a treat. The bacon 🥓 😋 pancakes and maple syrup were delicious. Beautiful presentation on all food ordered. Outdoor seating is comfortable and offers a amazing sea view.

Beautiful little tea rooms in a very old building. Watch your head! There's an outdoor area and a gallery shop inside with all sorts of local goodies. We stopped here for drinks only so cannot rate the food, but the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We had the table with the view of the sea. Staff were very friendly and menus are weighed down with painted rocks on the tables outside. It's a very cute little place!

The cafe has a little garden at the rear of the property, and it was great to sit in the sunshine.We ordered big bacon butties, a flat white and a cappuccino. The sandwich size was good, and the quality. The coffee was lovely, too. It was maybe slightly overpriced at £4.25 for a coffee. Service was prompt and friendly.

The place was really nice to stay and relax a little bit. I don't give it 5 stars because I found it expensive. However, it was the only coffee opened in Culross so we had no other option . There is also a small shop downstairs

I'm really sorry.....but VERY disappointed. I was out for a cycle with my wife and we popped into cafe for a tea. My wife ordered me a take away green tea and only after I left I found out it was £3.95...WOW! I know we live in a world with inflated prices but four pounds for 1 tea bag in hot water is a rip off!! "Lichfields green tea" - £2.99 for a pack of 20. (19p a teabag). £3.76 Mark up per cup....well done biscuit cafe! We won't be back. On a side note. They didn't serve Ice Coffee that my wife wanted. So she popped along to the next cafe (Bessie's Cafe) and got that for cheaper than my tea

The waiters are lovely but the boss is a real red flag. We arrived at 3.30 and they told us that everything would be served in takeaway cups, which was fine. Every five minutes someone came over to remind us that they’d be closing soon and we could feel the atmosphere getting tense. I quickly went to the loo before leaving while my friends waited for me with their coats on. At 4 pm sharp the boss yelled “OUT!” at them and slammed the door behind them. It’s such a pity as the place is cute. But we definitely won’t be going back.

We visited for lunch and it was quite busy, but our order was soon taken. The stovies were delicious, made with lovely fresh, good quality ingredients, and came with bread which was also fresh and tasty. The croque monsieur was also great with really nice bread and quality ham and cheese. The carrot cake was light textured, moist and delicious, with just the right amount of buttercream (not much) and the tiffin also very good. We did have to wait a bit for our tea to arrive (for which the waitress apologized and explained they only had one person doing the hot drinks) It was a struggle not to eat all the cake before the tea arrived! The staff were pleasant and cheerful, and overall we could not fault the food or service.

After a long walk , everyone was hungry, so it was an obvious option to try it as it was February evening , and proper dinner was required. Fish and chips for the kids and Seafood chowder for us ( it's a seafood soup served with toast and butter). Both meals were very tasty , and the well known view forced us to eat outside despite the cold. Overall it was tasty and everyone was happy, unfortunately most of their clients will only go for a coffee as a 4-5 person meal with drinks on top will easily cross£ 60 -70 , making it less affordable. The restaurant staff was cheerful and the overall atmosphere was great 👍.

We had the toasted paninis which were well filled and larger than normal and tasty. The staff were really nice . The prices are a wee bit on the higher side, but the quality is there .

Adorable staff, wonderful location right on the beach with outdoor seating and a good range of quality meals for a reasonable price. Can definitely recommend the fry up breakfast, perfect for finishing a long bike ride on the coast!

What a beautiful place. We sat outside in the glorious sunshine, three adults, one toddler and a dog for lunch, dogs are not allowed inside. There was only one vegan option for me and my three year old after noon, (veg curry) however, it was delicious with chips and rice. The service, the view and the location is outstanding. I hope that we can return for the vegan breakfast before we leave from our stay in Dalgety Bay.

Visited this lovely cafe for hot drinks only on this occasion. The Cocoa Tree Shop serves one of the best mocha and hot chocolate you can find on the east coast of Scotland. It's slightly more expensive compared with other cafes but definitely worth it, and strongly recommended to visit if in this area. There is an inside and outdoor area. Both spaces offer quite limited sitting places, and any groups larger than 4 would probably find it difficult to sit together. On the day of my visit the staff showed much more patience to dogs than kids, but still being quite polite and friendly.

We stopped in for scones and tea. It’s an old favourite. The scones are freshly baked, including the gluten free scone my partner had. Delicious. The highlight is the homemade raspberry jam which should be savoured. I had the hot chocolate with rose which is my guilty pleasure. The milkshakes are made properly too. I’ve had lunch in the past and enjoyed it too. It’s also a great place for present chocolate buying. It’s not cheap but you feel welcome, the shop is always interesting and the setting cosy.

Lovely little chocolate shop. Great little cafe hidden out the back. It’s also the most reliable place for the key. We had coffee and Crepes Monsieur. Nice coffee and nice crepes. Very friendly and helpful team. Nice relaxing place for a bite to eat.

Delicious food, I had the brie and cranberry focaccia roll, highly recommend it the brie was melted perfectly and the cranberries had a lovely sweetness. So many options for sweet and savoury, my sister had a cheese and ham crepes and she really enjoyed them. The staff were lovely aswell the aesthetic of this place is nice aswell.

The best hot chocolate in the world! It’s honestly SO good, I’m happy to drink it on a hot day in July! The cafe is just wonderful - everything I’ve tried is good and I’ve tried everything! Delicious breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea. You can’t go wrong. And then you can buy chocolates from the shop to try at the table or take home. Can I give this place six stars please Google?

We had a morning coffee and cake. The waffle was very nice, crispy and soft. The chocolate sauce was the right balance of sweet and bitter cocoa. You can also get a key to a local cave nearby.

A disappointing experience. The prices are very high, portions are small, and the quality variable between dishes. Despite being crowded the service was adequate. Whilst I support organic production, that is not an excuse to permit rats to run about. I am pretty "rather tolerant" but prefer not to have more than a couple scurrying about whilst I eat. There are perhaps clean, healthy, organic rats, but an efficient (organic) terrier would be a useful and important addition.

Fresh very tasty food , prices around 9-14 pounds per dish not much room to seat inside but plenty tables outside, some with roof over, most not, nice play park for kids. With fussy eating kids may be hard to find some food that kids like, worth to check the menu before..Shop is really well supplied with variety of organic veg , fruit and other foods. Recommend the visits especially if you exploring local wood walks, some of them start almost from cafes footsteps. We were camping at the Pillar s of Hercules campsite, so very convenient that cafe was so close

Great camping trip here. Nice pitches, good view, easy access. Toilets etc clean and usable. Cafe and shop excellent with amazing range of organic and ethical products. Great cycling nearby.

Love this place. Been going there for over 10years, think the café used to be better. The choices on the menu and what you get are somewhat 2 different things.. Or are they? Café is very expensive, Thai green curry was served more like a soup (no noodles or rice or anything with it) and the world's tiniest naan bread with it, what a shame. The cakes look awesome, but by the time we bought 3 mains and drinks, really couldn't afford to buy any cake as well.. We were still hungry though so had to get some bread from the shop. The shop is totally amazing. Nice selection, all organic produce, locally grown fruits and veg. Friendly staff, just amazing. The playground has changed a lot over the years, but it's amazing every time, love the new branch climbing bit, very nice. Lots of birds, lots of beautiful nature. Perfect place to soak in some natural energy. Overall, I am not happy putting negative in my review, because the place is very much worth a visit! I just think the cafe needs to maybe review their menu/prices. You would expect an expensive meal to be enough to feed one, or at least be well presented with a normal sized naan bread or smthg.. Not just veggies in a bowl if a breadcrumb on the side.. Even the children didn't think it was enough. Café is busy though, the queue to order is usually long.

The sort of place that’s so good, i’m almost tempted not to review it! This way it could remain my little secret! But the staff deserve a bucket load of positive feedback as the menu, preparation and service were all wonderful! enjoyed a fantastic meal here in a truly relaxing setting!

Café and Farm shop at the Pillars of Hercules We’ve been to the café a couple of times and always enjoy stopping in. The drinks are excellent, especially the chai latte, which has become our go-to whenever we visit. There’s also a great selection of cakes and panini, and while some can stand out more than others, they’re all well made, and worth trying. It’s a lovely, relaxed spot to enjoy something sweet or light, and one we’re always happy to return to. The farm shop is another highlight. It’s well stocked with plenty of local produce alongside a range of organic and specialty items. We always end up taking something home with us, from jams to cheeses and more. It’s a place that feels welcoming whether you’re popping in as a couple, with friends, or as a family with kids. Overall, it’s a must-visit in the area and a spot we really enjoy spending time at.

The camping is useful but for bike packers rather difficult. there is very little space for tents and not tables or seats. I was told "not to get in the way" of clients of the farm. Otherwise the shower was clean.

The place was quite small but nice nonetheless, the staff very friendly and helpful even though there was a lot going on. The food arrived quite quickly and other than the cake, nothing tasted that good. The mac n cheese was just some noodles with butter really. The sandwiches were very plain too. Bottom line: coffee and cake is great, everything else not worth it.

The atmosphere was really nice, however the food was pretty basic, small portions for the price as well. It was just ok. I would definitely come for brunch rather than lunch here though.

Excellent food, disappointing service. We had been notified that the sausage roll would take 20min, but a 35 min wait without apology was disappointing and really spoilt our schedule. They also ran out of clean teaspoons and never brought any out for the duration we were at the cafe (an hour). Overall seemed disorganised and understaffed.

a must visit if you are in st andrews. the service was kind and welcoming and gave us some lovely recommendations for the area. the scone was one of the best i‘ve ever had, just how a perfect scone is supposed to be. my mum said the coffee was great aswell, they do gorgeous latte art. thank you for a wonderful experience!

Four of us stopped in for breakfast. The service was friendly but pretty sporadic, probably as it was busy. The others told me their coffees were good and my tea was really good. The breakfasts were fine when they eventually arrived.

We popped in to get away from the cold and to grab a hot chocolate, not knowing anything about the cafe. The biscoff hot chocolate was incredible, as was rhe Ruby! We had a great chat with the staff, who were welcoming and kind. I just wish we had time to eat because the food looked phenomenal!

We stumbled into here looking for coffee and ended up ordering lunch as well. This place was incredible! We were greeted immediately and seated. Such a cute atmosphere and the staff were incredibly friendly and kind. The food and drinks were delicious and we had a very pleasant experience overall. Prices were fair; I 10/10 recommend coming here!

Wonderful little cafe in The heart of St. Andrews. Lattes were delicious and the staff was very nice. We sat for a midday coffee in the outside courtyard which was cozy and quiet. Just a short walk up the hill from the Old Course and near the college. Great find!

We visited for lunch on a sunny Sunday. We had the stornoway stack and a ham and cheese ciabatta with an Oreo milkshake and diet coke. They have plenty of staff, so service is not an issue. Bill £29.40

My wife, daughter and I went for brunch last week. On arrival we were told it was a reduced menu but honestly, there was still a huge choice and even tho we all had something different, every choice was amazing. Would 100% recommend. Great food, great staff. 5/5.

Popped into St.Andrew’s for a day, and was craving a matcha. This is THE spot for matcha! Ordered the strawberry iced matcha latte. A nice surprise was finding out they put clotted cream into it! Fantastic flavor, I believe the syrups are home made? 10/10!

Quirky little place just of the main street. Almost missed it. Upstairs has a cosy little sitting area. Bit of a step back in time. Decorated in an unusual but homely style. Old ornaments reminded me of grans house. Liked the old pulley with the washing hanging from the ceiling. Post war tunes from the old wooden radio to complete the atmosphere. Small but tasty menu with some great food. Selection of teas, coffees and soft drinks. Even an irn bru float was available. The warmed scones were delicious as was the iced tea. Staff were accomodating and service was really good. Bit of a trek from Glasgow but if we get back to St Andrews we'll be sure to visit again. Thank you

A lovely place in the heart of the town to enjoy light delights at a very reasonable price. On a blustery and solemn October day, I bought a cup of chicken soup and some breakfast tea. To my delight those provisions were accompanied with a fluffy and airy roll. If I have any major critique it is that I did not immediately see the sizable, atmospheric upstairs dining area, with its rustic wooden tables and old newspaper clippings plastered on the walls. The entire cafe seemed focused on takeaway, which is fine and makes sense given its central location, but I wish that I had been able to more clearly see the inviting dining area. There are a dozen satisfying cafes in St Andrews, but you will not be disappointed if you choose this one.

The Prince of Cambridge is a must try. The best scone I had. I like it served hot, and the berries in it waived the jam. It was so fabulous, I had scone twice there within my trip.

Quaint little place. Helpful, friendly staff. Delicious warm scones, clotted cream in nice wee dish........then all spoiled by the jam - a tiny plastic pack which hardly covers one side, let alone the whole scone. Why not nice jame in a lovely wee container to be in keeping with everything else? 🥰🥰

Cute little shop. Service is good and professional. But for a cake that cost almost £5, I kinda expect more from it. The frosting tastes very artificial like one you can get from a tub. I'd rather buy Tesco cake and brew my tea.

Cute & cosy little cafe with delicious, simple British cafe menu. Soups, sandwiches, a few brunch items and SCONES! Lots of beautiful scones. The seating section (upstairs) is quite small (no prams or wheelchairs will get up) but really cosy and cutely decorated. The staff are friendly and the food is great.

Had a scone, with clotted cream and jam not to forget their lovely hot chocolate. Absolutely lovely place with great service staff and owner Sue who could not do more to assist. The place is warm and vibrant, the customer service is outstanding. I will pay my homage to this cafe if I am around Edinburgh next time for sure. They even gave me some bread rolls for free to take home back to Yorkshire. If that isn't service I dont know what is.

Found this by accident after visiting the Aquarium. Such lovely helpful staff, they have gluten free bread and made me a generously filled ham and cheese toasted sandwich! Soup in the side was delicious too. Dog friendly too, so I got to say hi to a few pups. Definitely recommend, thank you 🙂

Had a tasty coffee and a beautiful roll at Rankin's cafe. Very friendly & professional staff, highly recommend a visit, as well as exploring the area at North Queen's Ferry village.

Rankin’s Cafe is an absolute delight. The service is prompt and friendly, the setting is charming with the Forth bridge visible over the top of the pretty village houses. Both times we visited our daughter had the kids breakfast which she loved. I was very happy to find a full vegetarian breakfast on the menu (including delicious vegetarian haggis). The food, the atmosphere, the service is all great. Highly recommend!

I love eating in this cozy wee cafe which used to be the old post office several years ago. Lovely friendly staff. This visit I had a chicken salad gluten free sandwich with side salad and Kettle crisps. Soup in a mug is an extra £2. Today's was lentil, carrot and coconut. Vegan and gluten free. Last time delicious GF thinly sliced toasted bread with lemon cream cheese and smoked salmon. Yum. My husband enjoyed a fruity couscous and sweet potato wrap. Delicious too.

Initially stopped in for lunch. Staff where unhelpful. Told 10 min wait for lunch as busy. Which is fine completely understand. So we ordered coffee. I went back in to for an ice cream for my daughter. Staff where miserable and more interest in Staff conversation than customer service. I finally was able to order. We left thinking Staff may just been deflated from a possible rush. My husband later, then went back to order a soup , to eventually again get the attention of the staff who then said she will be with him in two minutes, to then move into the kitchen where my husband could visibly see her chatting and on her phone. Resulted in leaving with a hungry toddler as much as they clearly did not care we equally did not have the patience for terrible service. Customer service generally shocking from Staff who clearly just dont care or select their choice in customers. Toilets also ill maintained, bins over flowing, blown lights, wet flooring. Disappointing for a lovely building and such potential.

Live locally but never been until today. Delicious soup & one of the best cheese scones I've had. Very quick & friendly service. Only issue was that we had to sit outside as all the inside tables were full but luckily we finished lunch before the rain started. Lovely place will definitely return!

We were exploring Culross and called in here for a break , it’s is a lovely Cafe , very atmospheric with seating inside and outside . We took advantage of the Autumn sun and sat outside in the courtyard which was very pleasant . The service and the food were excellent , we had peppermint tea and fruit scones . The scones were delicious and as we are fairly local we will call back in to sample the other things on the menu .

The place was a bit dirty I must say. We had two oat latte and a white chocolate and toffee scone (£10 total)which was nice. Toilets are located outside the cafe so a bit uncomfortable for when it rains.

I had lunch here with my friends and we absolutely loved it! The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was bustling yet cosy. The food was delicious, with vegan options available. I tried both the bagel and the toasties, and they were both fantastic. The meal was also quite affordable. I’d definitely love to come back again sometime!

We were visiting St Andrews for a day trip from Stirling and walked around town. We found out that this was where Prince William and Kate met. It had good reviews and we went for lunch. It is a casual cafe and busy. Our server was nice. Our food and drinks were good.

Well worth a visit. Not pretentious in any way. I chose cappuccino and a bacon roll. Both were hot and delicious and only £6.75. The bacon was crispy just how I like it. Thank you 👍

This was our first time in St.Andrews and the reviews for this place were really good. When we arrived the staff were very helpful with finding us a seat, especially as the cafe was very busy. We sat outside and, apart from the wasps, the atmosphere was good. We were both really excited to try the American brunch. The pancakes and bacon were great. The eggs, however, ruined our experience. We’re having putting it into words, but they were soft, hard, watery, overcooked, undercooked, and rubbery all at once. We’re not sure how they managed it.

Food is simple and usually good but can be hit or miss; drinks can be quite good. My issue is that almost every time I have been I’ve left feeling uneasy because the staff have usually been very rude. The students who work there are usually nice but with others I haven’t had good experiences.

I gotta be honest it was really grubby, I don’t mind it being mismatched and quirky but it was actually filthy. The food I was served was like prison food, worst quality cheap flavourless ingredients and when I reached for salt and pepper it was dust and greasy. My cup and teapot was also so stained and nasty and I went to go to the bathroom but changed my mind when I saw the state of it 😭 please guys you have such a gem there’s no need for it to be this shameful

As the crow flies, this is only a breath away from the train station, and what a delightful spot for a wee bit of tea after such a lovely train ride! Had a pot of tea in some very fancy crockery! And it did my sore throat a treat! I also had a lovely scone that the staff heated up for me in their twee oven. My partner had a carrot cake that made me oh so envious, it was nice and orangey with a hint of honey, which rounded out in a lovely chorous of confectionary! Next time I'm in aberdour I'll be bringing all my friends to this place for a lovely lunch.

Clean and hygienic. The cake was very dry though, I think I can bake better cakes as a novice baker myself. Other than that, all good.

This place is a diamond in the rough. Staff are delightful, Excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Excellent coffee and tea. I had the Huevos Rancheros and would recommend this to anyone, yum. Worth a detour if you are looking for lunch/breakfast between Edinburgh and St Andrews

We we’re in here on Tuesday for lunch with our wee dog, people were so lovely and ordered cheese toasties with a mug of tea, it was Beautiful, best toasties so yummy and tea was great for a cold day. Would very much recommend, brillant cafe. Wish we had a Coast in Edinburgh

A cosy wee coffee shop, located centrally at the harbour front, with lovely views. Good service and friendly, chatty staff. Coffee was superb and there was a wide range of sweet and savoury foods available, all very delicious.

Lovely wee coffee shop in the port, in Anstruther. The coffee is really good and paid for my bfast a mozzarella baguette with salad and chips, a cappuccino and a juice just 7 £. My fave place in Anstruther.

Great visit to The Pavillion today. Gorgeous day for sitting outside. Lovely menu, food all cooked fresh to order using local produce. Home baking ,ice cream,+Doggy menu. Very quick table service as well. All in all a lovely experience. . Will definitely be back. ❤️

Just a 10 minute drive from our accommodation. The cafe was busy when we arrived with many people choosing to eat at the outside tables and bask in the sun. We enjoyed, great value for money breakfasts, one full scottish and the other vegetarian. Lovely.

We went for breakfast and all had the full Scottish breakfast. All the ingredients used were top quality and cooked well and not greasy at all. The coffee was really good and the service was friendly and efficient, can't ask for more. Great atmosphere around with all the different activities going on but managed to get parked no problem even though it was busy. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

I visited this place yesterday. We ordered Scampi and chips and a tuna and cheese roll. No issue with the Tuna and cheese roll however topping out at £16 for scampi and chips I expected better. It was the poorest quality scampi with more breadcrumb pockets of air than actual scampi filling. The chips were of equally poor catering quality, crispy on the outside but nothing on the inside. £28 total for canteen quality lunch. I understand that they can not pick there clients however the man sat behind me wore the smelliest suede coat and the smell coming from it overpowered the area around him. I think he bought in 1982 and it’s not had its first clean yet. Don’t worry about asking us not to return as I notice a trend in bad reviews you ask people not to return when in truth you would have to be mad to return in the first place.

Rocked up not long before they stopped serving and were most welcoming. Great menu, Great service, Great value. Will be back.

Just perfect to catch up around your golf, padel out tennis game. Glorious sunshine on the terrace when the weather is good and comfortable seats inside if it’s a little bit inclement. Tea, tea, tea!

The best scones and jam anywhere! Pancakes also made to order and delicious. All food well priced and always a friendly welcome.

Love this place! So much so we went twice over the weekend! Their salads are to die for and the homemade cakes are so delicious. One of my favourite places to sit and have a cuppa and cake on a nice day

Lovely place. I ordered blueberry scone to take away, it was freshly baked and super tasty! Also very welcoming staff. I will make a proper stop for breakfast/lunch when back in this area again.

Great choice of food and snacks: freshly baked scones were excellent. Friendly and efficient service,only one small complaint,on a cold February morning it would have been nice for the large log burner stove to have been on.

The food was excellent and the views lovely. I've only taken off a star because they had two quiches on and both were meaty. Seems odd to not offer one veggie one. But that aside, it was excellent: the baked potatoes and the cakes and the salad and the coleslaw...all super tasty. Will be coming back!

We were in Falkland and fancied a small lunch. However, all the usual pubs and cafes along the High Street were mobbed. That's when I remembered that the Hayloft was around the corner and up the street. Access into the Hayloft is by a set of stairs so people who are infirm, struggle with stairs, or in a wheelchair might not make it up the stairs. There is a small table and chairs at the foot of the stairs which two people could sit at. The room upstairs is light, roomy and with the blackbirds outside singing away perfectly serene. Surprisingly, there was only one other person sitting in the dining area, although there was enough seating for twenty people, it doesn't seem to be that a large room. We ordered soup, cakes, juice and a latte. These came out soon after and they all tasted delicious (and at a bargain price). The servers were polite, prompt and well presented. There are toilets for customers. If you want a light snack and a sample of pure Scottish hospitality then this is the place you should visit (especially if it's busy on the High Street). It's truly a Scottish hidden gem.

I’m a picky eater, and EVERYTHING was so delicious and served with beautiful garnishes. I tasted all of my family’s choices from soup, sandwiches, and quiche, and it was all truly delicious. The host and her mother were lovely in conversation and recommendations for the area. Highly recommend!!

Lovely warm and inviting with very friendly and helpful staff. Stopped in after walking in the Lomond hills. Fruit scones were delicious with butter and jam and a very nice touch that they were warmed up for you. Very nice coffee which was piping hot. Will definitely return

Stayed here for 5 days for work. In a word? Perfect! Cosy, quiet, extremely clean with everything you require and in the most beautiful location and setting. An absolute gem and cakes left outside the door every day on return from work. Can't rate this highly enough.

The absolute best wee soup and only THE BEST SCONE I'VE EVER HAD. Everyone go visit, truly exceptional.

We’ve been to The Hayloft twice now. The menu is simple, soups, paninis, sandwices, cakes. Everything is decent, filling and very affordable. We’ve tried the soup and sandwich offer, which was hearty and good value. A nice spot if you’re looking for something straightforward and reasonably priced.

This is a fairly basic wee cafe. The menu was fairly basic, too, but ideal for a quick snack. The service was decent. The food was OK. The soup was good, but the portion was small. No frills at all with the cheese toasties. It was expensive though for what we had. £32 for a mediocre soup and sandwich. We wouldn't hurry back.

Usually excellent but this morning, I was served the tiniest and saddest cup of coffee froth. It also turned out that most of the (pictured) cup of coffee (which was supposed to a latte) was foam. I always order a small latte which usually comes full as you’d expect and with a small layer of foam. This is the first time I’ve ever been served an inadequate cup of coffee here. Hopefully a one off!

Latte art is lovely. The coffee could have a little more flavor and is a little burnt this time; fortunately there’s still a slightly nutty aftertaste. Pastries are on the sweet side. The paninis are glorious. Grilled super crispy and filled with tasty Parma ham, artichoke, sun dried tomatoes, cheese, and pesto. There aren’t many other options in the small town so I guess it’s good enough.

Tiny, trendy but actually worth a visit. A snug with a student vibe and cool aesthetic. Very chilled playlist along with happy chat made for good atmosphere. Flat white good without being memorable and Pastel de Nata rarely misses the mark

Don’t go here if you have a dog. Claims to be dog friendly even with “dog of the week” photos inside yet was rudely approached by a staff member asking to leave because of my small dog who hadn’t even so much as barked. Very disappointing felt targeted will not be returning.

Very good coffee, tasty little sweet treats and also some savory options. For me a great little store and must when I pass through the street.

Very small coffee shop, but great to walk in and grab a hot sandwich from. Better (and more satisfying) than a meal deal or anything of equivalent price in town for lunch.

The food is tasty but please don't try quite so hard, sometimes simple is perfectly acceptable too. Unusual soup combinations available but not my thing. Enjoyed the devilled eggs. Staff pleasant but no atmosphere as such. A nice enough little place in a good location.

Lovely cafe in the centre of Dunfermline, offering something a bit different to other local eateries. Food was tasty, fresh and well presented. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

First time in this cafe. Lovely place. Lovely staff and good coffee at a reasonable price. I’d recommend.

Not a pleasant experience. Lengthy wait for our order to be taken. Food, when it arrived, was lukewarm, (cold scrambled eggs, burnt streaky bacon and sour dough you could sole your shoes with). Very humid inside the cafe with condensation streaming down the windows. Very, very noisy. Dog friendly? No, it certainly wasn't. My little dog barked a handful of times (no more than the dog at the table behind). One of the staff approached our table and asked if there was "an issue?" making it abundantly clear we were to shut up or leave. At this point we decided not to stay for a cake as I was stressed and upset at being spoken to by the staff member. Won't be back as felt harassed and definitely not welcome.

We had a tasty breakfast brioche roll with bacon . It was hot, perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty. It wasn't cheap and was on the small side but nicely presented and I thoroughly enjoyed. The coffee was also good and presented in a good sized cup. Would highly recommend.

First time back in this wee spot since it opened and glad to say I was pleasantly surprised it was super tasty and a creative, healthy menu. Heard it got taken over recently so new owners doing a great job. Had the salmon toast, quite a large portion but tasty and good matcha latte too! 💚

The full Scottish breakfast was amazing! Everything on the plate was top-notch. I totally recommend it.
