I passed this delightful cafe today , unfortunately not enough time to stop for coffee. However. Staff kindly let me take some photos. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Would definitely revisit but this time, stop for a coffee ☕️

Food was absolutely amazing and they were very catering for my two girls in their wheelchair's. There was one girl who had just stated that day (12th October) which we would have been none the wiser if she hadn’t said. We had ordered two steak baguettes and some kids meals. We opted to have no honey mustard sauce in the steak baguette, another lady come over also lovely and asked if we were allergic to mustard or just didn’t like it and insisted we tried it first, she come over with a small pot and let us try it.. it was beautiful, thank you for giving us that option as we wouldn’t have bothered if not. Also thank you for being so patient with my three girls. Lovely place excellent value and the next time we are back in Livingston we will definitely be revisiting! Thanks 🙏

Now this is a busy wee cafe and you rarely get a spot but we were lucky enough today. Great food, lovely staff and great options. Relaxing atmosphere and I will definitely be returning.

Atmosphere was nice in here .. staff were lovely however the food was pretty average I must say ! Ive had better meals in hospitals and thats being completely honest I'm afraid. Most likely won't be back here unfortunately.

Such a lovely place. Staff is really nice and helpful. Loads o vegan options and food is simply delicious. We didn't wait long and service was swift. Highly recommend.

Everytime I have been into this cafe, the service has been excellent - very friendly and efficient staff - the food is delivered quickly and the quality is exceptional. Overall, if you can get a seat, I would thoroughly recommend.

Very nice place, with a lot of pastries and very good coffee! We tried many of them but we will have to come back to taste the others because all of them were so good! Super service and good prices too, well done ladies!

The best news we had today! Casa amiga has brought the vibes to Whitburn. We used this amazing establishment back when we were in Edinburgh and it has the best pastries, service and obviously the best coffee imported from Portugal!

Lovely Portuguese cafe. Perfect spot to enjoy a coffee, some sweet treats and sunshine. They serve great hot drinks, Portuguese patisseries, fresh Pastel de Nata, homemade soup and lots of Portuguese products. Friendly and helpful staff, nice decor, Portuguese vibes all around and a very nice terrace with a few tables. Perfect spot to enjoy coffee and catch up with friends.

Discover Portuguese, visit this cafe in Leith. Leith walk closed but the small businesses open as usual. This place open at 8am and close at 4 pm. Try their coffee, food and cold drinks, you will love it. Very clean, friendly staff, freshly cooked at their cafe. Really enjoyed this Portuguese coconut filled bun.

Wonderful bakery which we visited yesterday. Good selection of sweet treats as well as some savoury options. I tried the chorizo cheese and ham bread thing (sorry I can’t remember the name) which was very tasty. The bread was very soft. I also had the cod fish cake which was also nice. Crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside. It was surprisingly tasty despite having it cold. The star of the show was the Pastel de nata which was amazing! Nice pastry on the outside and lovely custard on the inside. The lady that served us was also very friendly. I would love to come back to try something else next time because they have very authentic items.

This is an excellent and totally authentic Portuguese cafe with a nice chilled ambience You really should give it a try - the coffee and Pastel de Natas are 5 star ! Here is some context for my review: I was born in Whitburn but now live in central Portugal (near to Nazaré where you find the biggest surf waves in the world) I have been there for 6 years and love it as much as Scotland. What a great surprise to now find Casa Amiga in Whitburn ! In fact it is more Portuguese than real Portugal 🇵🇹 - there is a huge selection of traditional Portuguese artefacts, wall prints and wall tiles The owner Patrícia is from Porto and is a lovely person - very kind and friendly. In Portuguese… Muito amigável. Patrícia speaks perfect English with what seems like an Australian accent… but she has actually spent a bit of time in South Africa. First the coffee … the machine is a La Cimbali (top range Italian - and they really know how to use it ) and the beans are Delta Platinum - truly authentic from the very start but with the possibility to have fresh milk based drinks like flat whites, cappuccinos etc In Portugal most people simply drink espresso. The main milk based options are Meia de Leite or Galão but it is mostly made with UHT milk In Porto you ask for espresso with “Um cimbalino por favor” (from the name of the machine) Next the Pastel de Natas … Freshly baked each day and as good as any you will find in Lisboa - try them with a sprinkle of cinnamon There is a huge selection of other pastries like Bolas de Berlim (a doughnut filled with confectioners custard) and very tasty toasted sandwiches The cafe is also like a little Portuguese delicatessen - you can get just about anything there - Piri Piri sauce, Delta Coffee, olive oil, cheeses, chorizos including morcela (black pudding here) - go check it out Thank you for a very memorable Portuguese experience - I will be back Muito obrigado e até à próxima Cinco estrelas 😊

Cozy cafe, very friendly staff. But the breakfast options were a bit bland. Some generic toast bread, with an avocado on top, some tomatoes and balsamic. Perhaps some salt, maybe even a poached egg on top or something would have spiced it up a bit.

The food was just okay. The service was good though.

A group of us visiting Linlithgow today stopped by for a quick cuppa. The teas, coffees and latte tasted great and were at a reasonable price. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented. There are tables inside and out. There are customer toilets available to use.

Expensive but lovely home baking. Lemon mirangue could be a bit more softer. Went back in again on Saturday 29/723 & opted for their lentil 🍲 it came not to hot & not too cold, so i didn't need to send it back to be reheated, as I do in some other cafes. The lentil soup tasted very good BUT for me it was too watery. A view other cafés that i have reviewed - the soup is nice & thick ANYWAY the baked fluffy tattie 🥔 + the chicken 🐥 tika filling & the small lovely heart ❤️ shaped dish with coleslaw in it all gets 10/10 & i/we could even eat all of the skin on the potato - no hard or tough bits. The mirangue also gets a 10/10 and the next time i'm in i will have their homemade empire biscuit & their still made to the same recipe 2yrs ago. PS. the staff r very nice too. Back in again sat.6/1/24 Lovely fluffy baked potato 🥔 tasty chicken 🐥 tika filling BUT not as much as you would get in Aromas cafe Falkirk - it's loaded there along with a much more filling salad. I only left a very small bit of the skin from the potato in the 🍓 cafe. Their homemade scones are very nice & u also get free top ups of hot water. The café Bannockburn coffee house charge 50p for hot 🔥 water 😱 NOTICE the Strawberry 🍓 cafe's HALVE GRILLED TOASTIE that i spotted at another table 😱

Absolutely stunning cafe. Dairy alternatives for beverages and Gluten free breads for sandwiches. There is Gluten free and dairy free cakes. Beautiful decor. Wonderful staff. Warm reception. Dog friendly cafe.

Popped in for some food after a walk in Linlithgow with three others. The young waitress pointed us toward seats and we sat down. There was enough of a choice on the menu for us all. The waitress gave us extra time to make our selection, we felt we may have disturbed her. The Mac and cheese was cheesy with chorizo to spice it up a bit. The cheese wasn’t entirely melted and the chorizo had been scorched. There was a decent amount of fresh salad and coleslaw on the side of the plate. Good food at a reasonable price for the area.

So basically fell upon this little coffee shop with the wife. As you can read, it’s been around for a few years. The space inside is shall we say compact, but that being said it’s still comfortable. It has a nice feel to it. The staff are very welcoming as soon as you come through the door. A couple had just finished eating, so we went and sat at their now empty table. We could watch life go by out the window. No sooner than we sat, and a member of staff was over and talking away while cleaning the table. To be honest, apart from the plates the table was spotless. In fact the whole place was clean and crisp. We had 2 sandwiches, and both were really nice. They came with a small salad and slaw, both fresh and tasted great. The only thing that’s not good, is the location of the till, it’s right next to the cakes. You can’t pay your bill without grabbing a couple of cakes to go!! Will I be back? Fingers crossed most definitely we will be back, and I’ll leave the cakes alone.

A small, hidden gem near Linlithgow Palace. The food was amazing & I highly recommend the Scottish Breakfast!

Little cute coffee place, great location but disappointed with their cake choices, the old school cake tasted like the packet cake mix from the supermarkets, the butter icing was so sweet it was a bit sickly , overpriced for the size of it, coffee was average, real shame as I always wanted to visit this cute little corner, unfortunately it felt a little short of my expectations.

Really enjoyed breakfasting in The Coffee Neuk in Linlithgow. The food was scrumptious and the portion sizes fabulous! Vegan, veggie & meat eaters catered for 😊. Great selection. Lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Called in here for something to eat after a visit to Linlithgow Palace. Lovely food, the place was clean and tidy, service was excellent. I would recommend this place without hesitation, proper wholesome food.

Pretty grumpy reception with a long wait for service. My wife’s still waiting for her food. My daughter’s glass of water had some crud stuck to the bottom on the inside. On the upside they also lost the bill saving the awkward conversation about the missing food.

Their standards haven't slipped since last year & as u can see their £6 breakfast was all editable & a picture of beauty BUT i recommended to the young waitress that it would be a good idea to have cork place mats for the small teapot & hot water to sit them on & that would reduce heat dissipation. Back in again Fri 4/8/23 BUT we only got 1/4 way in & because we hadn't booked was told they were full up - FAIR ENOUGH but she didn't mention that we could sit outside on the 3 unoccupied tables that didn't have any 'RESERVED' signs on them SO i was recommended to try the Cafébar 1912 yds up North Bridge st. & u can read my poor report on it. Fri 14/2/25 In we went again & it will be the LAST TIME. The Bridge Cafe was my favourite cafe the very few times we visited Bathgate BUT sadly it has gone down 👇 hill big time & I've had a frizzled egg before elsewhere just round the edges & not all over it like i got in the Bridge Cafe. Even the lorn sausage was over cooked on both sides.

Just to say we got party food on sat 21st june, we were delighted with the amount we got , definitely 5 stars, quality was excellent ordering again for Saturday 28th June, best money we've spent on food. Many thanks xx😄😄😄

Loving all the new staff great service and great food you are all so friendly. Gail made me a platter for 2 people for my birthday and it was enough to feed 4. First time in here. Was very nice that the staff gave us a table as they were booked tables which we didn't know. Our lunch was BEAUTIFUL the staff were FANTASTIC. Well done. Ps Your mini cheesecakes were awesome. We will definitely be back to your beautiful cafe.

Amazing little place! Great coffee and amazing, substantial food - delicious!! I had scrambled eggs with cheese and onion on a roll and my partner had the full breakfast. Both were huge portions and so fresh and tasty 😋 I wish we lived near by to come here more frequently!

Ordered a last minute afternoon tea on Friday for Saturday thank you!. Service was amazing even helped me to my car as I walk with a stick! Sandwiches lots of them and so tasty!. Cakes scones and tablet all delicious. Thank you so much. Highly recommend. Will be back 🥰

Absolutely first class establishment. Food is of very good quality and the staff are very attentive and friendly. The Scottish breakfast is amazing one of the best I've had for a long while. Popped in on Saturday and had a really good coronation chicken baguette, tea (2 pots) , and a great toasted tea cake. Food great, staff friendly and attentive, spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend 👌 Best value 11 quid I've spent since the wife's engagement 💍 ring !

Went to Thistles for the first time with my wife and newborn baby for lunch. The cafe is bright and airy and the staff were friendly and welcoming, even giving us a ‘penny for the baby’ (significantly more than a penny) which was lovely. We both ordered panini’s which were delicious. The cake selection was impressive too. We’ll definitely be back.

Very good cafe in an excellent location with fantastic views, serving brilliant coffee but most unusually for a Country Park, the cafe is not dog friendly (apart from the outside seating area). I don't know whether it is the Visitor Centre or the cafe owner(s) who insist on no dogs being allowed indoors, but either way it is a weird situation. I dare say the cafe does well because of the location, and it is a good cafe, but they must be losing a huge amount of business. The cafe was very quiet when I was there this morning but there were scores of people in the park walking their dogs. Yesterday around the same time, we were at the nearby Muiravonside Country Park and the very dog friendly Wee Coffee Cabin there was almost filled to capacity. We might go back to the Hideaway Cafe on the odd day that it is warm & dry enough to sit outside, but such days can be few and far between in Scotland. Wake up and smell the coffee folks!

This place was recommended, and it did not disappoint. The staff are very approachable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I had a gluten and dairy free tuna panini with chips, I got my own cutlery and condiments with my meal. It was absolutely delicious! My partner had ham and cheese panini with chips. I then bought a lemon drizzle cake and coconut cream cake. Both were gluten and dairy free and baked that morning. It is the best gluten-free sponge (on both cakes) I have tasted! The lemon drizzle was moist, soft, and full of lemon. The coconut cream cake again was moist and soft, and the butter cream was amazingly tasty for being dairy free. My partner had a taste and even complimented that you wouldn't be able to tell it was gluten or dairy free. After chatting to the staff, nothing was too much effort, and it was obvious they knew about allergens and intolerances, hence why they have coeliac accreditation. I will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone to try.

We bring our dogs here offen for a doggy sausage and ice cream but this trip was going to be the last for Maddie our eldest dog who loves this place but sadly was booked in to be put to sleep (we wanted to take her to her favourite place beforehand) The staff were so kind and even brought out free ice cream for Maddie and ran after us to inform us they had returned the fee of the doggy sausage to my card which was such a lovely gesture which meant so much… In a weird (and wonderful) turn of events the vet who she was booked in to see noticed something different and the operation was cancelled and Maddie is back home! With us hopefully for many more months maybe even years who knows (shes 14) The staff’s gesture was so appreciated and I hope they see this message!

This is such a lovely cafe and the staff are so friendly and kind. I dropped in today with my 5 month old baby and my dog. I was alone with them both and was unable to go in to order, as dogs aren't allowed inside and I wasn't able to tie her up outside as she's very fearful. One of the staff at the visitor centre was so lovely and offered to wait with my dog and baby for a few minutes while I ordered and then the cafe staff brought the food out to me. The food was delicious and prepared very quickly, with plenty of seating outside for us to sit and enjoy the views while we ate. The food is very affordable too; they could charge a lot as there are no other places to eat nearby but they don't and that makes the cafe all the more appealing. Definitely a new favourite for me, although next time I'll plan a bit better so I don't have to trouble someone to watch my dog while I order 🐶🙈

Much more than a florist - although the flowers are beautiful. Superb choice of faux flowers as well, along with a lovely gift selection. Visited the tea room and this was lovely as well. Excellent cappuccino and great tea pots that don't dribble tea all over the table. Lovely selection of well priced plants as well.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Arranging funeral flowers for my father, staff were very professional and knowledgeable. Offered advice but didn't push choices. My daughter and I chose a few specific flowers and then provided a "colour scheme". The flowers were absolutely perfect and exactly what we had imagined. Emails sent stating each stage of preparation/left premises/delivery were very welcomed and put my mind at ease they would be there. Seriously can't fault this process, staff, premises layout and will 100% be recommending this florist, shop and cafe to others.

I ordered a heart shaped wreath for my sisters funeral, it was easy to order, I was kept informed of my order up until it had been delivered. The wreath was perfect, exactly what I was looking for. The photo is slightly different to what a chose, I had lilac ribbon around edge and across the middle with sister on it.

Lovely items in the shop, some unusual, great array of plants, good amount of parking. I only have it 4* although the coffee shop was beautiful and spotlessly keen, and a great array of cakes.... The choice of mains and light bites for vegetarian lost it a star, even poorer for vegan. Saying that I had sweetcorn soup and that was delicious. I would go back again.

Nice place, enjoyed a browse in the shop after meeting a friend for lunch. Soup was beautiful in the cafe. Only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 :- Bought the last slice of lemon cake as it looked lovely, however was disappointed as it was a bit stale on the outside. Will visit again in the future and hopefully will be able to change to 5 stars if the cake is better next time ☺️

I received a beautiful display of flowers for my birthday, the arrangement is stunning and a great variety of flowers. It's been on display a week today and they are all doing really well. I highly recommend this florist.

Coffees great, service good. Pity that they don't keep on top of clearing and cleaning the tables. Every empty table had previous customers crockery etc on table Not once in the 50 odd minutes I was there did a member of staff attempt to clear and clean tables.

I use this Starbucks at least four times a week. I usually charge my car here too if I need a quick boost. However every time I have been for the last few weeks there is a non electric car parked in the electric charging bays. I would guess it’s a staff member who could park across the street in the open parking if there are no spots in the regular part of the car park. Sort it out… you are stopping people from being able to access the side they need on the charger.

Don’t normally post a review on a chain restaurant but the staffs were so kind it actually made my day.

I’m customer on Starbucks last seven years. I usually go to Broxburn. I get VIP treatment there every day and I said today let’s try the Livingston site oh my God terrible . I had to wait more than three minutes at ordering point. I see ladies on the window, nobody taking the order. I decide to drive at I the drive at window lady was saying oh just about to take your order, and staring at me with anger,, that’s not how you do a business. you need to welcome the customers with a smile. There you go 1 star review. Hopefully next time if I’ll try another time to go there, they will change .

I use this Starbucks quite a lot and always happy with the service. I would like to give a special mention to member of staff there called Ceira. I seem to come across her a lot and she is always very friendly and happy when serving me and provides very good customer service. She always takes time to say "Have a nice day" which is always a nice touch.

Flat white was good and hot. Croissant tasted like last Friday's.

I’m not one for negative reviews however every single male member of staff were rude today. It seemed a chore them doing their jobs. 30 minute from closing wasn’t an ideal time to grab a coffee when leaving the centre however the first and last customer of the day deserves the same respect. I witnessed a customer saying thanks and have a nice evening to the staff member and not even a response from staff. The coffee machine was on a clean cycle so couldn’t get a coffee either wait or leave. I will never be back in this Costa again. Do not rate and do not recommend.

I ordered a hot drink with oatmeal milk and I saw how barista poured just simple milk instead... I don't have problems with lactose, but I paid more for it and I ordered oatmeal milk, if I had problems with lactose after I had problems, so it's unacceptable to do like that! Also in the same Costa it was situation when I ordered drink and asked about topping, they didn't put anything. I'm not a scandal person, but these two situations make me unhappy and after that I'm thinking not to go to this cafe and go another also popular, you probably understand which one. If a person, who makes drinks doesn't remember what exactly they need to put, they need to have some notice about it, it wasn't the same person, different people, days. I'm disappointed after it😔 More concentration, for someone it could be health problems, not just bad mood like me

Had a new "whipped" iced white latte..... took ages to queue and ages for drink to be made... thought they had forgotten. When it came it looked nothing like what I had ordered. Watery and bland in a sea of ice cubes. Seating area is noisy, cold and loud.

Staff could not get a coffee, tea correct, I asked for toast butter with one portion, marmalade with the other, got the order wrong, shop was empty, so no excuse, older female was tutting the whole time and never made eye contact, I go to Costa all over the UK, and this one has to be the worst

Tables were all cluttered and although empty seats everywhere I had to ask to have tables cleaned very dissapointed ,when staff keep serving and don't stop to clear the customer area ,major training required to show more awareness of areas where customers need to sit and enjoy there meal or drink . I made my feelings clear to the staff when I arrived to clear the customer area as we had been sitting 20 minutes before we went to complain my table and most others needed cleaned of rubbish and tables wiped down . Have you started doing away with plates for sit in? Had to wait to get served as nobody on the till, two staff came, started putting away things, fine, but no acknowledgement that I was waiting as they talked to each other, so I walked away and was called back. Also had to ask for a knife for the muffin. Usually Costa is decent, but this has been by far my worst experience.

The coffee was horrid!! We went for a tolberone inspired lattè. We won't be going there again. You can see the layer of fat floating on the top and it all separating. Awful!

Visited today for the first time. We did not have to wait long for a seat. Once seated we were given the menu and within minutes waitress asking for order. No time given to actually look at the menu. We ordered macaroni and cheese and steak pie. The macaroni was tasteless, watery, preheated in the microwave. Certainly not cheese macaroni as I know it. Would not recommend it at all . The steak pie at least was presentable, gravy spot on. Cafe was getting busy as we left. Yes would revisit No to macaroni

I usually only rant on reviews after terrible service or food/prices etc. but popped in here today when passing through the shopping centre. Prices are excellent 👍 and the staff 2nd to none. I told my 10 year old to slow down cause he was eating too fast and one of the staff came over and said “seen you demolishing that there son do you want some more chips n cheese? He laughed and said yes please. Greedy little git as the portion was massive. I am going to pop a picture on of what she brought him. So so nice of her and absolutely out of the blue. Fantastic service and food. Went back a few months later and was totally let down. Not ideal but still not the worst.

Food is ok but they really need to learn how to fry an egg properly I hate it when you get one that has a half cooked white it ruins a breakfast as it looks like runny snot ,it really puts me off the meal

Lovely cafe! We had breakfast everyday here when we visited Bathgate. The staffs and owner were very nice and helpful. They have great selection of homemade Italian sweets as well as Italian dishes. Would recommend!

After our order taking 2+ hours to be delivered. When it got here the delivery driver complained that there was dogs in our neighbours garden? Once we opened our food ALL 4 breakfast rolls were mouldy. Our food was cold and stale. When I contacted the cafe the gentleman I spoke with was nothing shy of Rude, I was then told “they can’t be mouldy but ok” before he hung up the phone.

Arrived over an hour late. Eggs were black for some reason, food was terrible and service was terrible. Would highly recommend avoiding this place

Received my first order. Only a few minutes late but food was really hot. Best macaroni cheese I have had for years and the addition of chicken gave it a lovely kick. The banana milkshake was really creamy , I wouldn't hesitate to order again as they have such a varied menu. Well done guys

Went in here with my fiance on Friday and it was lovely. We both got bacon and cheese stuffed French toast which was to die for and a side of chips... our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We also ordered chocolate cake to take away which was heaven. And that's without mentioning the owner! He was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend and will be back for more soon!

The man in the cafe makes you feel so welcome. We visited the last time after we got off the Blackpool promotions bus and again this week. All the suitcases and bags were accommodated and we were welcomed. The food was good and the weary travellers were allowed to wait until the taxi arrived for the next leg of the journey. The only criticism was the toilet area which is in need of some refurbishment apart from that wonderful experience and hopefully see you next year.

Just had Valentine's day afternoon tea delivered and am so impressed with lovely presentation. I chose to have a red rose delivered with it. The bread sandwiches were fresher than fresh and lots of choice of cakes along with the scones jam and cream. Also a few wee chocolates to finish it off. A lot of food for the price well done and thank you

OMG! The best cheesecake in Scotland!! We had a bagel, a hotdog, potato skins and the amazing Scottish Tablet cheesecake!! The service was so great and friendly, and the food was absolutely... delicious!! looking forward to coming back soon!

Really small, slightly out of the way, but totally amazing place! From savory temptations to the sweetest cheesecake desserts, so much to choose from, you can't go wrong! They even have a cheesecake shake which includes a full slice of your choice of flavors in the shake, not just bits. I had the breaded chicken burger with home made chips (fries) and it was fantastic! I didn't want the side of slaw and asked for Mac and cheese on the side thinking it would be just a small bit and they brought me a dish of it which was so yummy. Amazing service as well. The inside of the restaurant is small and quaint with cute artwork on the walls, some of which can be purchased. A couple brought a dog in and they not only welcomed the pup, but brought out some dog treats. Now that's hospitality!

Great menu. Cheesecake to die for! Such a warm welcome to my puppy on his first ever cafe visit - he loved the treats and toy to play with while there! Been back many times in the last few weeks. Definitely would recommend.

Went for cheese cake and ended up staying for lunch. It's a small, busy place but we got seated ok. Burgers were tasty, well made and nicely presented. Due to being full we got cheesecake to go, which went down a treat.

Used to love this place but was disappointed the last time I went. The portions were half the size with very little topping and cheesecakes were double the price. Was going to get some lunch but prices were too expensive.

Decent cafe experience! Coffee was good, but not wow. Carrot cake was a highlight - delicious and fresh! Mud cake didn't quite hit the mark, though. Seating area was comfy and clean. Good option for a quick coffee or snack while shopping at the mall. Just manage your expectations.

Absolutely loved this little surprise in Livingstone.... excellent staff and the soy cappuccino was great. I had a lemon meringue tart which was exquisite. But mostly the staff makes this little muffin place great.

this was terrible. the “dubai” muffin was a plain muffin with the tiniest amount of pistachio and chocolate on top. it tasted horrible. not to mention the cheese and tomato flatbread which made me sick to my stomach. I asked for A STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM FRAPPE and instead got a MILKSHAKE which did not even come with whipped cream. the music? bland. the service? horrible. lady was rude and blunt.

Absolutely stunned by the 3 young girl staff all behind the counter on their phones, and EVERY table filled with used mugs and plates! Wheni approached the lass on the till about the mess, she replied 'i know' with attitude!

Unfortunately my experience with my family was atrocious We had been served by a member of staff with an attitude she was rude when we were making our order and looked annoyed when we were just trying to make our order, when asked to have something simple as another jam she looked annoyed when we asked This made me feel unwelcome and made our experience lower The drinks weren’t made right we asked my iced Carmel latte but had no syrup and a rush job while even though they weren’t rushed off there feet and only 3 other tables so maybe consider that we would like to enjoy what we pay for and spread good earned money

Very poor customer service, we had coffee and babyccino with our kids they served muffin takeaway boxes called paper plates and its not clean very bad

The Burgh Halls cafe is a very well hidden gem. It's quite small but has a large outdoor seating area. The menu isn't huge but the quality is very good. The staff are so polite and helpful. A great lunch stop after a stroll around the Loch. Definitely 5*.

Beautiful venue. Attended a wedding here and was the perfect venue. Friendly staff and one of best wedding meals we've ever had. Well done Burgh Halls.

Family friendly cafe in excellent location - view of the Crown Of Thorns spire from the outdoor seating in a sheltered and quiet garden area. Friendly staff and offer a variety of light bite and lunch options including an all day breakfast. (Open on all days of the week except Saturday).

Stopped here for a coffee and a fruit scone. A seagull nearly made off with the scone, but it was such a substantial snack that he only managed to get away with a mouthful. The staff are friendly, and the grounds are rather beautiful.

I've been loads of times to this cafe and wld normally give it 5 stars. Today, however, I was sorely disappointed. Cafe latte had to be returned as it was cold and came back not much better - the toast was very underdone but didn't want to return it after complaining about the coffee. When paying for it I saw it was 4 young girls doing the work. The normal staff are top notch and food is always great. Such a disappointment today. It's a shame because this will tarnish its reputation. I'll go back but not on a Sunday.

I was served by David and it was such a pleasant experience. He dealt with the elderly couple in front of me and offered to carry over their tray. He moved on to me, another elderly lady, and he was efficient and polite and took time sorting the tray and offering further assistance. Staff member that served us was polite and tried his best without much support from his colleagues. There was clearly a staff shortage issue but it took almost 30 minutes to get served even though there were only about 6 people in front of us in the queue. If you like very sweet children's chocolate then this will be up your street but the coffee is quite poor.

While meeting family from down south we came across the Thornton’s Cafe in Livingston, Designer Outlet. From the minute we went in the service was professional & light hearted which cheered us up. Manager Ross & staff could not do enough for us & I would highly recommend it. Thank you Ross & staff for making our visit to Livingston a happy one. Ohhh & the coffee & cream scones also helped. 😁

My husband and I stumbled upon this fantastic cafe by chance, and we're so glad we did! We both ordered the pancakes – I had the Nutella, and my husband had the syrup – and they were absolutely amazing. You get three large, fluffy pancakes with a generous portion of topping. My mocha was incredibly rich and luxurious, and my husband enjoyed his cola. Everything arrived quickly, and the cook was very friendly. It's really affordable and super easy to get to. Highly recommend!"

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon 30 minutes before closing. Ordered Lentil soup which took 5 minutes to heat, which was fine. The portion size was ok for 4 pounds with a buttered roll however when I got back I realised the soup tasted sour which was unfortunate as it looked nice. Wouldn't go back

Visited with a family member as we had never been in area before. Drawn in by nice looking coffee shop and both decided to try the eggs Benedict along with our coffees. Coffees were lovely and the service was friendly but the food was such a disappointment. Never known eggs to be practically hard boiled with this dish. All four eggs were the same, not one single runny one. Would not recommend to anyone willing to try this dish.

Ordered the scrambled egg and avocado on sourdough toast and added salmon on for £2 it was £10.50 overall. I was astonished when it arrived and the sourdough slice was absolutely tiny barley even 2 bites I got out of it very disappointing as I expected a regular slice of sourdough for £10.50

Mega disappointed given the quality of the Livingston one We went here because we’d had great experiences at the Livingston branch but the Bathgate one is pretty poor quality. The toast was dry and unbuttered under my eggs, everything was completely unseasoned and had no taste at all and the drinks glasses were all dirty. The beans clearly came straight from the tin and were completely cold.

Was recommended to try this cafe. On reflection I wish I'd gone to McDonald's. I ordered the House Breakfast and my partner ordered the "Poachers" Royale. To say I was disappointed in the food is an understatement. Cold baked beans, bacon that was more fat than meat and had been cooked just long enough to colour the meat. Toast which was still soft enough that when I tried to butter it the knife went through it. As for the "Poachers", poached eggs should have runny yolks, these were processed "boiled" eggs with hard centers. The hollandaise was obviously from a jar or tub as it had no flavour. The only upside was the coffee.

We went to Dnisi as it was a cold day and it looked busy inside so thought it must be nice. We all ordered the soup and sandwich deal and had lentil soup with a ham and cheese sandwich which was very tasty! The sandwich was full too which was good and the bread was lovely too!

Where to start... Was recommended to visit here for an amazing scone... So thought why not give it a go and now can't stop getting some weekly They are HUUUGGE so fluffy and honestly best scone we have tried. Lovely people in the place. If the scones are anything to go by then the rest of the bakes/cakes/food will also be devine <3

My wife and I consider Fenwicks to be our favourite cafe. Jo and her team do a brilliant job! We're always greeted with a smile. The food is excellent and the selection of coffees and home made luxury scones are the best in the area. Highly recommended.

What an absolute treat!! The staff and so happy and helpful.. my husband popped in to order as we had our two little dogs with us. The lovely young lad then popped out to see if I would like, butter, jam and cream on my scone. As you can imagine I was absolutely delighted!!! The breakfast roll was delicious and the ratio of roll, bacon and hashbrown was great! It's a pity we are just passing g through on our holiday as this would become a very regular spot for us!!

Not great. Tea was stewed before we got at our table. Wife's scone was hard on the outside. My breakfast was no good, especially for the price. Bacon cooked in dirty pan (residue left on bacon showed this from previous experience) egg was gloopy on top, whilst crispy on the bottom. Not enough butter for two slices of toast, which was strangely served on breakfast plate, but then given a plate for toast at the same time, confusing. Haggis, tasted a bit sweet! Square sausage was crispy on one side. Can't believe there wasn't link sausages, beans and mushrooms (at least as options). Very poor for today's standard. Won't be returning.

Lovely wee Cafe, great coffee, great food, outstanding service. It's a bit more expensive than others, but the quality is there, especially cakes and tray bakes. The Eggs Benedict is as good as one ever had.

I think Fenwicks might be my favourite coffee shop in Linlithgow... (and we really are spoilt for choice in the area!!). This place has THE best cakes and scones 👌😍 and also have lots of great brunch and lunch options, the coffee shop itself is bright and spacious inside and the staff are always super lovely!

We stopped by after visiting Linlithgow Palace with friends and my toddler. Not only was the food great and staff extremely helpful, but the place is an absolute hidden gem for families!!! They had child-safe cutlery, high chairs and age-appropriate food. The staff offered to serve the toddler’s food quickly to ensure she didn’t become restless - honestly, you have no idea what a difference it makes to the dining experience with a small child. We’ll definitely come back - I was so unexpectedly, but so pleasantly surprised. Thank you!

A very friendly cosy coffee shop with a good choice of home made soup, meals, lunches and cakes. Reasonably priced. Situated right on the main st. No dedicated parking but plenty of free parking close by. Wheelchair accessible if you're good at squeezing between tables. Stovies are yummy and the tea is 'proper' tea.

Absolutely lovely wee cafe. In the Regent Centre so there is a large car park. Wonderful selection of treats. Coffee experts. Cafe is set up to explain and allow you to explore coffee. Its wonderful. Cafe showcases local art which you can purchase. Such a warm Family atmosphere to this cafe. Dogs are welcome. Dairy alternatives for milk. Gluten free tray bakes individually wrapped and low gluten options. Really a spectacular place.

Ordered "to good to go" who insist time for collection is 5pm to 5;30pm but clearly closed at 5;03pm with not even a mote up saying closed early. Too good to go insist their time is correct. Plenty other places in Linlithgow for coffee / cakes etc

My wife and I had breakfast at the White Dove Linlithgow. The coffee was first rate, but my bacon roll contained pieces of leathery, overcooked, oily bacon in a dry roll. A good bacon roll should have freshly-cooked, juicy bacon with a crispy edge. This bacon looked like yesterday's left-overs warmed up. My wife's croissant was limp and rubbery, clearly not fresh. Very disappointing. This establishment really needs to up its food game and not rest on its roastery laurels.

Had a coffee this morning very very good coffee. Tiny hidden away place. Park for free outside the door and get inside. I've never been to a place that sells food and has a full gym right next to where you eat. I love pumping a bit of iron so it doesn't bother me but I've just never seen this setup before. As far as gym equipment goes it's all the proper Olympic bars and decent racks, only 8 quid a session. Anyway back to the food. Quite a large menu to choose from but be aware there are only like 2 tables if you are sitting in. Food was all fine nothing mind blowing but fine. Would come back to hit the iron maybe.

Love Balance Bistro! I've had breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and nothing has disappointed. They have a wide variety of food and you feel like you've had a good hearty meal that hasn't been swimming in grease and fat. I've eaten in and had food delivered, the food is so delicious every time. Staff are so friendly and bonus is that the place is dog friendly. Would highly recommend if you want to try somewhere different. Karen and her team are top class!

Great food, always hot when it arrives and delivery times are quite quick too (always quicker than time estimated). Personally can't see past their steak, eggs and hash brown (tastes amazing) and order it every time we get food from there. Highly recommend Balance Bistro for their food and service, never had an issue and will always order from here when given the chance.

Very nice. Lovely oat pancakes with sugar free maple syrup, banana, blueberries and fat free yoghurt. Also breakfast pancakes stack with black pudding, bacon and sausages. Food was delicious and staff were very helpful. Quiet as we were the only people there at the time.

Pretty disappointed was routing for them, but we weren't happy with our breakfasts this morning, waited a while to be served and then 40mins for 2 breakfasts. Tattie scone soggy & barely cooked, overall bland 0 seasoning & mushrooms needed cleaned. Asked for brown sauce and was served a small bowl with a disgusting congealed brown blob in it which looked as though it had been left by someone else. Maybe an off day for them but for nearly £8 a fry up, I expect way better service and product.

We just collected lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The chips were the best I have had for a long while . The burgers were beautiful cooked and very filing . Would definitely eat there again .

Male staff at Livingston always detached and disinterested, verging on unpleasant and rude. Don't look at you while serving, usually chatting with each other. Shandwick Place, the other one I go to most weeks, is pretty much the same. Same experience today - I've had enough now, so won't be back.

Once upon a time CN had good coffee, now it's just bland brown liquid. They've dropped to the poor standard of Costa. Sigh

Clean, comfortable place with lovely staff. Hand sanitizer on arrival, clean tables. Less sandwiches but still crisps and cakes available. Track and trace registration should be enforced better- too many people not doing it.

We had breakfast here the food was freshly cooked and delicious. The scone was so big I had to have it boxed and brought home as it was so large. Staff were very friendly we will definitely be back.

I often pop in here for coffee or lunch so when I was arranging a family celebration, asked if they would do some catering for it. The food was all freshly prepared, beautifully presented and most importantly, delicious. The bite sized strawberry tarts were a particular favourite. 🤩

Had a lovely lunch here today. We both had Paninis, which had delicious fillings, mine was coronation chicken and cheese. Lovely dressing on the salad and the creamy coleslaw was the nicest I have tasted. Will visit again.

Great little independent / locally owned cafe for good coffee / range of teas and amazing fruit or plain scones with raspberry jam! Cheese scones, my favourite, would be truly amazing!Personal service, friendly, welcoming and great value. Close to the loch, palace and church and on the mainstreet full of little independent shops. We'll be back without a doubt.

Food wasn’t great, bland, lukewarm, slightly mushy. Food was affordable and had plenty options available. Was mildly busy, but still had plenty of space. Staff didn’t seem thrilled to be there but overall were nice enough.

Absolutely bogging just had a delivery 30 quid for 2 breakfast bacon wasn't cooked like rubber if only could take pictures shocking was sick just looking at it the square as well wouldn't give it to my dog the egg to exactly the same hash brown to practically fell apart on the plate only thing that was eating was the tattie scone been severely ripped off absolute arseholes

Visited on 8th June! Never again! We bought a full breakfast and a small breakfast with two pots of tea. Found trays no problem, to find a clean cup was a bigger issue. Stood around to wait on someone serving at the till and started to wonder if Morrisons actually wanted to sell things to customers. I had already filled our pots with water so our tea was stewing. Eventually someone came to serve us. When ordering our breakfasts the person asked if we wanted link or square sausage and we didn't realise you could choose so we asked for link. Sat at our table we made our tea and breakfast arrived, I was looking forward to it. The breakfast looked unappetising, there was meant to be tattie scones which had been changed to hash browns so I went to ask someone but again left standing at the checkout. Came back to the table and a few minutes later a girl came out so I asked about the tattie scones and she said its all to do with a Scottish or an English breakfast because we chose link sausage we would automatically get hash browns! It's almost like going to mcdonalds and asking for a quarter pound meal bur with fruit not chips and bring given a bag of fruit and a box of nuggets! Nothing is mentioned on the menu about this. The bacon on my plate could have broken windows. Eggs had more grease on then than my local chippy! The girl did say she could get us tattie scones but we decided they wouldn't be worth the wait. Stay clear and go to Toby Carvery which is much nicer and around the same price you can eat as much as you want.

Ordered large breakfast, cheese toasty and chips. We were unable to make swaps for items on the breakfast, could only remove items but it stayed the same price. Unable to add anything to the cheese toasty (onion ect). Was shocked to find no drink came with breakfast and was sold separately. Tattie scone was rock solid, mushrooms had been left out and were all dry. Only decent thing on the breakfast was the bread type used. Decor is very outdated and missmaching. Dirty under tables. Won't recommend.

Worst breakfast I've ever tried to eat. Staff are unhelpful and prices are shocking now. Bacon so hard I couldn't cut it or get a fork in it never mind chew it. Lorne was like a slab of rubber and toast only done on one side. Disappointed and unsatisfied to say the least. Come on morrisons surely you can do better.

Went for breakfast today and have to say the food was ok but the rest was poorly disappointing. As usual in these covid times you have to register by Q reader (if possible). Then things go downhill rapidly. We had 3 attempts to find a clean tray. Not only did they have mug marks, but also food on them too. The girl (1 of 3 workers) took our order then went through the back. There were no knives and very few tea spoons out for use. I waited 3 minutes to ask for cutlery and the girl replied " oh yes they are in the dish washer. Once again she vanished so I sat down. Another customer had the same problem regarding cutlery. Like us it took 2 times requesting before being given knives. I counted 5 tables that were left with trays, plates etc piled on them.. yes they were running a half price offer for breakfasts but were no busier than usual. So what is the excuse? There should be no half measures regarding covid. Why do track and trace then fall way behind with the cleanliness?

Had to clean our own table. Foods microwaved! So many people complaining in the cafe and the staff don’t seem bothered at all. All the tables are dirty and none have been cleaned. With trays and food still on majority of the tables. Place is a joke🤢

Simply the best, better than all the rest... We’ve been coming to The Cosy Tearoom for several years now, and it’s still our favourite cafe in Linlithgow. Sheena's coffee is second to none - she has the exclusive on Kimbo beans in town - and her flat white is the gold standard by which we now measure all others. Sheena’s cakes are always freshly baked using excellent ingredients. Lovely little lunch of a toastie and homemade soup. The two ladies were brilliant, with nothing being too much hassle. Everything is home made and delightful, the question is, do I go for a cake?

This tea room was a highlight of Linlithgow. The cherry almond tart was delicious and the tea was brewed beautifully. The owner was very pleasant and kind. The atmosphere was indeed cozy- a perfect afternoon experience.

Stopped here for lunch today- lovely little place. We had haggis and cheese toastie and a ham & cheese toastie and both were delicious. We intended just getting toasties but got drawn in by the fantastic selection of homemade cakes- both Millionaires and rocky road were excellent! Had to offset the cakes by a walk round the loch, but well worth it. No photos of the cakes as we ate them too quickly!

It was very cozy indeed. The decoration makes this a nice experience and the owner was very interesting to talk to. The service was good and we got served super fast. The quality of the food is adequate to the price. It can get loud when coffee is being made.

Absolutely love this wee cafe, food is delicious, the service is quick and friendly, the place is really clean and the prices are reasonable. I just wish it was bigger as sometimes you struggle to get a seat as it's so popular.

The food is always piping hot. I like that they provide a table service so we can come in and sit down. The food they serve is good home cooked “stodge” (food that fills you up) Nice macaroni and hot chips, lasagna, milkshakes and cakes ect. The premises is immaculately clean. It’s no wonder they’re always busy.

Getting into the shop with a pram is a little awkward but once you're in it's tidy and clean. the staff were friendly and cheerful and helped me to my table as I had a pram with me, so I didn't worry about coordinating the two at the same time! Very pleased.

Net a friend for coffee and a light bite, hit sandwich was sadly cold when delivered to table. The environment wasn't fresh, quite gritty furniture. The place needs a refurb.

Brand new Costa, opened June 2018, offers a spacious and modern space to enjoy a wide range of coffees, teas and other hot and cold drinks. The food and drink range is reasonable, with gluten free choices and a variety of milk alternatives for the drinks. There are a couple of small steps at the entrance, but inside, the layout is level and spacious. Full wheelchair access is available from the car park at the rear of the building. Parking is free. The building is a former bank and has an endearing Scottish architectural charm.

I originally rated this shop at a 4 star. That was 3 years ago, sine then I have been back several times but today will be my last and I thought it best to update my review to reflect the poor customer service and the poor attitude of some of the staff. I have gave the benefit of the doubt as everyone has off days but today was the final for me and I will not be back.

Visiting linlithgow today we stop here for a bit of lunch. luckily we managed to get a table as it was pretty busy and understandably to, The food they serve here is just amazing! The staff are super friendly and they even had a water bowl for our dogs. On top of this Aran also sits in the beautiful square of the cross well. highly recommend

We stopped in Linlithgow on a group tour and my best friend and I stepped in aran for lunch. It was bustling, which is completely expected, because it was so delicious!! We had the veggie haggis toast, cauliflower wedge, and took hot chocolates and a scone to go. Everything was exceptional, service was friendly and quick. I was so excited about all of the veggie options! Our hot chocolates were divine. Everything was incredibly reasonably priced. We loved aran so much we hope we can return just to come back to this cafe.

Place looks lovely from the outside, but seemed very unorganised inside amongst the staff. No one seemed to know what they were doing. Ordered two coconut milk hot chocolates with marshmallows & cream, one salted caramel, to go. Took 20 minutes for the hot chocolates to be made and they were about to be made for sit in before we said something. Only one was actually made with coconut milk, we didn't bother saying anything because it wasn't an allergy just a preference as we had already waited that long for our drinks and our parking was about to be up. The cream on top was probably about a teaspoon full and barely any marshmallows. After we finally got our drinks they were pretty much tasteless. I threw mine in the bin. Especially the salted caramel hot choc. Quite a let down, a waste of time and money. Sad to say we won't be back.

We randomly stopped in completely ravenous after a tour. We ordered the cream of mushroom soup with a cheese scone, side salad, and the warm vegetable bowl. The vegetable bowl is hands down the BEST warm grain bowl I’ve ever had! Everything is roasted perfectly, the flavors and textures are complex, and it wasn’t oily. I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life. I need the recipe! The mushroom soup was equally delicious. Definitely try it if it’s the soup of the day! Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by this place! The staff is also very nice.

Here is very delicious. best soups, desserts and bagels. We often go there. Would like to invite another person in the kitchen at rush hours, because the waiting time is very high. Very lacking fresh air inside(( and cappuccino! please do not boil milk! optimum temperature of milk for cappuccino 60-65°C. Please.

For 5.85 pound, sausage bap and spicy chai latte is a deal, I do prefer any coffee over spicy chai latte as it's processed and comes with added sugar. But! I am addicted to chai latte 😋

Honestly in disbelief how badly run this place is, handed a red hot flat bread in a sealed celefane bag which was basically a messy ball of food. 2 little girls running the place were too busy carrying on to even do anything.

Disappointed by this place despite a nice menu. 3 very sullen girls serving very slowly: one asked me if her arm was bleeding. Urgh. Almost £10 for a damp tuna panini and a glass (not bottle or can) of lemonade (£3.80 when a chilled can of San Pell is £2.20 in Nero) Dirty and smelly toilets. I never leave bad reviews but this really deserved it.

Been coming here for years since I was a child, shame to see how it is now, place quite dirty and very quiet for the morning I always remember it used to be busy, hot chocolate was warm at best, latte was basically warm milk had to ask for extra shots of coffee in it for my mother. Muffins were sadly not as nice as they used to be. Staff arw polite but we're to busy having a carry-on behind the counter, sadly not as good as it used to be such a shame

Our first visit to tastes cafe today 17th September 24. Really nice cafe and nice friendly staff welcoming us when we walked in. We bought two Stornoway black pudding rolls to take away. Omg! The roll was very good and fresh. We had Stornoway black puddings in kyle of lochalsh a couple weeks ago. They were so yummy. We would definitely come back for lunch next time. I would recommend friends to come here.

Stopped in here while on the Outlander tour in/near the highlands and had a good lunch. I had a Club sandwich, which was very good, accompanied by a salad and chips. Servers were very friendly and got us in and out very quickly.

We visited Linlithgow on a day trip, and decided to have our brunch at Taste Deli. It’s just a short walk from the railway station. We ordered the eggs royale, eggs Benedict, sausage roll, and trio of bread. The food was delicious! Everyone was very friendly, welcoming us to Scotland. The cafe was also bright and cheery, all which added on to the pleasant experience here. We enjoyed our meal here, and would highly recommend it to others.

What a wee gem of a place, you walk into what looks like a small Deli counter, but the cafe seating extends through the back into what feels like a little courtyard, it's charming. The food was excellent, and lovely to be able to have a glass of wine with a Charcuterie Board. Really fresh salad leaves, overall very enjoyable. Staff were lovely, if a little young. I didn't really appreciate them doing the "closing up" clean around about us, an hour and a half before they were due to close. But a minor issue and didn't spoil a very pleasant visit. I'll definitely return.

I’m from Melbourne, Australia where we have great coffee. The coffee at Taste was fantastic! Best coffee I’ve had since I’ve been in europe. This is my first visit to Scotland so I had to try the haggis and black pudding. Both were delicious. Great service. Highly recommend.

All round 4 star, although the service was quite quick, the area was noisy due to the low ceiling at the back and the coffee machine. Food wasn't too bad, although it was a bit pricey for some of it. The general atmosphere is quite nice and the interesting deli at the front looked to have some lovely range of products. The home baking also looked very tasty with a good range. Meals were a little salty and maybe a bit too much fat on the bacon for my taste, and hollandaise sauce was quite mustardy. Not my first choice but ,I would give it another try. Dogs are welcome however, which is a plus when your 4 footed friend can enjoy a sit-down meal as well.

Perfect cafe for a light Sunday lunch. We had a couple of sandwiches, glass of wine and a coke. Great service, plenty of choice on the menu and the food was great. Would definitely return here to try some other dishes.

Busy but nice small Starbucks. Plenty of staff to keep the line moving and I got all my items quickly. There is a drive thru and also inside seating with customer toilets. Most of the coffee is the more bitter arabica type but if you like that type it's great. They do breakfast stuff and loads of cakes.

Third time in a row I've ordered a latte with cream and got home to find none added.

Awful chai latte today, it takes alot for me to leave something but was not for human consumption. Servers also really need to engage with customers better, not overly welcoming and felt like you were an inconvenience. Drive thru service was quicker than in house and there was only three of us!!

Went in for two bags of chips had to wait on being made so thought would be great, staff was dry with me as it I was putting them out. Stopped along the road to eat the chips. They were hard as rock very undercooked and white as snow. Both went in the bin couldn't eat a single chip

I remember this place when they still wrapped your dinner up in newspaper. Used to be great. Huge bags of chips. Went in the other day. Snarky owner who put too much sauce on (drowned it.) Then blamed me because I didn't say "When" Overpriced and wasn't good at all.

Excellent local cafe with friendly welcoming staff. Great coffee and tasty rolls, toasties and cooked breakfasts as well as freshly cooked fish teas. Spotlessly clean and excellent Covid procedures in place making patrons feel comfortable.

Staff are lovely and even though it was busy we were served quickly. They offer milk alternatives, and there is outdoor seating. The coffee and hot chocolate were a bit expensive for the size of the cups. Coffee was weak!

We had a great visit to muiravonside country park and it was great to have a cafe to stop and refuel. We had soup and toasties and they were delicious. The staff were fantastic and all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for BLT sandwiches which looked amazing.

What a hidden gem this place is! Popped in for lunch today while we were visiting the park and will definitely be back. Menu had a great selection of sandwiches, toasties & baked potatoes - with plenty of gluten free and vegan options available too. Kids selections are absolutely fantastic for the price, lots to suit even the fussiest of little eaters! Our food arrived quickly and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Cake selection is great, so many to pick from, and I was told that the scones - which looked delicious - are all baked fresh by the staff, not something you see that often! Can’t fault the service at all, it was busy at the time we were there and it seemed a private booking was also arriving at the same time, the two women (Donna & Sharn) were kept busy and nothing was too much trouble. If I had one recommendation, it would be to see there was a way to add a tip on to card payments? Unfortunately we didn’t have any cash with us and when paying I wanted to add something onto my card but the woman taking my payment was unsure if this was possible so I had to leave it. I’ll know for next time though!

Wrong info on Google. This cafe stops serving fresh or hot food at 3pm. It closes at 4pm. I arrived at 3 minutes past 3pm and most of the chairs were already stacked on top of the tables. My friend and I had a dog with us so asked if we could sit at the back of the cafe for the conve fence

We got the soup and panini meal and it was lovely homemade lentil soup, couldn’t fault it. Panini was fantastic and flavourful. Iced coffee was fantastic and I’m quite fussy 🤣 we loved it that much we had to get a panini and some of the cheesecake to take home for later. Cheesecake is to die for. A huge thing for me when I go out is the baby changing area and this one was lovely! Plenty space and a nice wee changing station with nappy bags etc provided. Very clean and cleaning spray is provided for the changing Matt for before and after use which is a huge plus! It was just nice to see a wee clean area for people to change babies with a few added touches. 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely be back.

Was out cycling with a group of 50+ cyclist's today and came across this wee gem in Mid Calder. The range of cheesecakes looked so delicious, the staff were great as was their service, and great coffee too. Didn't have any lunch but the menu looked good. We will return 😍

My gluten free meal was served first! All the other food was ready at the same time, so we all ate together, which was lovely (we've had bad experiences elsewhere). There was lots of gf options to choose from. Food was very tasty and staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We (family of 4) went in for a birthday breakfast and will definitely be back to try the lunch. Highly recommend.

Situated on the high street it is clean with few frills, just the way I suspect its clientele likes it.Traditional menu at a price everyone can afford. Paninis and chips not half bad. Had a panini and chips that was nice, unfortunately they don't offer milk a substaute such as soya milk or coconut milk for those with allergies. The staff are kind and welcoming. Make sure you have cash though as they don't accept card.

The place was cold inside. There was only 1 other customer apart from my wife and I yet the lady still managed to take the order wrong. The food was the perfect temperature but had been microwaved too long, dry beans, tattie scone like a brick and the toast not toasted..We have used this cafe for years but sad to say the next time we will spend our £20 elsewhere..

I called in 26th May straight off the train feeling extremely exhausted and harassed. To be greeted by some of the most friendly and helpful staff I have pleasure to come in contact in quite some time. I ordered a breakfast and a black coffee both where outstanding. They also give me information about finding a taxi when one of the staff went around the corner to see if they are available. I would highly recommend this establishment. Also just want to take this opportunity to say thank you for your help.

We popped in past here for a wee bite to eat before we went to the zoo. Staff were very nice & friendly. Food was excellent. My 11year old had a hot chocolate with all the bells & whistles, he was so impressed with it he wants to come back for another hot chocolate 🤣 My youngest had pancakes & syrup and an Strawberry ice-cream milkshake! She was in sugar heaven. Definitely be back if we are travelling that way again. 🥰

Husband and I are passing through and really wanted to find something quick, affordable and delicious. The little cafe was almost full of lovely people. Clean and simple with two well behaved adorable doggies. I got a ham panini with onions and cheese. It was DELICIOUS. Husband got a haggis and cheese toastie - he says it was also really delicious with the chippy sauce. We would absolutely recommend this place and would love to return. We love finding places who have clearly made the taste of their food the highest priority!

Nipped into the Crannog Cafe in Linlithgow recently for the tasty lunch. Lots of lovely things to choose from on the menu. We had soup and sandwich combo plus millionaire slice. It has a really relaxing atmosphere and happily is dog friendly too. Looking forward to returning soon.

We stopped here looking for a vegan snack. We got baked potatoes with vegan cheese and beans. They had alternative milk for a lovely latte. They also had a few other vegan treats. Worth stopping for a small bite or light lunch.

Choose here as it had outside seat in the sun. Had haggis roll, black pudding and bacon roll. Pot of tea and black coffee, for £12.50. 2 slices of haggis likewise for black pudding and bacon. Nice roll, good size for filling. Do think that £4.50 for a plain scone with jam, butter and cream is a bit steep... However, would return.

After a lovely walk around Linlithgow we were delighted to have found this cafe. It was a busy Saturday but we were lucky to get a table. We were spoilt for choice with the menu with so many tempting dishes on offer. We chose the tattie scone stack followed by the warm chocolate brownie with custard. We were not disappointed, both were delicious. We had great service from all the staff including the dog who was absolutely gorgeous and checked in with all the visitors.

Three staff but only one was serving. One was cleaning and one was standing about doing nothing. I was the only takeaway customer and there was one sit-in customer who seemed to be getting ignored because she came up to the counter to get served and the assistant told her to get back to her seat and that she'd be served soon. I think the assistant was probably stressed but it came out sounding quite rude. The bagette I got looked horrible. I can't really explain why but it just looked sloppy and messy if that makes sense. But I got it for my husband and he said it tasted good 👍 so a lower mark for customer service and presentation but a higher mark for taste. Don't know if it has changed management or something but it really isn't as organised or welcoming as it used to be.

Bought from here, food came as if it was straight out a freezer, beans were all over the bags and hair was on a sausage - phoned them up and the person on phone had no clue on what to do n had to get someone else to phone me back, another guy phoned back after I was told I was getting new stuff sent out, this guy phoned back and said they will add 2 items onto my order next time, as if I’ll be ordering from here again 😂 with this rubbish experience. Overall wouldn't suggest buying from here at all. Wouldn't even give the food to my dog - that’s if it would even eat it.

We were not impressed with this cafe. It has 5/6 tables crammed in front of the counter. We asked for 2teas,1 coffee, 2 soft drinks. The prices shown appear to be for carry out only as the added approx 60p on each item for sitting in. Tried to charge £2.30 for a pkt of crisps which were priced at 80p. Staff had very little training, hadn't a clue how to serve a table. TOILET HAD NO TOILET PAPER. BUTto be fair it was a decent cup of tea and home baking was lovely. JUST DON'T SIT IN.
