Best little coffee shop we found in OBX! The Baristas know their stuff and are super pleasant! Coffee is good. Would definitely make this my go-to for coffee when visiting the Outer Banks!

I have never been more confused on what to order. All drinks/menu items looked fantastic. I ended up with my usual, a Cortado, and I got an iced Sandbar (English toffee - had to get that). The drinks were delicious. I do recommend getting the chocolate cwaaassaaaannn as well. This place has an insane amount of cups/mugs and they're all great. The cafe is a little cramped and I did spot a few squatters but we just ate our croissant and headed out, but if I were to sit and chill, I'd definitely would've hurt someones feelings. Overall, a great place which delicious drinks and bakery items.
Anil S — Google review
I can’t say enough how incredible their coffee is! The iced latte was great, but the cold brew is what really blew us away. It’s a must try! Staff were incredibly friendly and very welcoming to pups who accompanied their families inside.
Rebecca O — Google review
Extremely friendly staff and great tasting iced late. Quaint and well appointed coffee shop, just off Croatan Hwy in Nags Head. It’s attached to the Forbes Candy shop. Recommended stop for coffee to bypass the chains.
Rob S — Google review
Decided to try out another local coffee shop while in the OBX so we stopped at Morning View Coffee House. It wasn't too busy at 10am on a weekday. We ordered the Seafoam Latte, Iced Crème Brulee and a Bacon Egg & Cheese Bagel. The bagel tasted great but the coffee was not as good. The Seafoam Latte was way too sweet and the Iced Creme Brulee just seemed off. We will hopefully give it another try and see if we can find something different to drink next time.
Brandon S — Google review
The coffee is great and the prices were fair. Super cute shop and they roast their own coffee!
Emma Q — Google review
the chai was… so sweet. like unbelievably sweet. i took it home and brewed a cup of chai to cut it with. but there was twilight themed tip jars in the year 2025 and a dog so honestly give me too sweet of a drink, i can cope upon receiving a response i would have considered raising it a star- though i’ve never had to specify to make a chai less sweet when getting a flavor at any coffee shop i’ve been to in my life- but my name is literally right there and they still managed to spell it wrong so my stats are staying the same
Abbie R — Google review
Coffee was super disappointing. All you could taste was the syrup. Way too sweet. Went up to ask if they could pull me another shot because it was too sweet and I was asked if I asked for half sweet. I explained I had never been there so no I wasn’t aware of that because normal coffee places their regular sweet coffee actually tastes like coffee. She was really rude and told me she’d have to charge me for another full coffee. Would not recommend. Service was trash and the coffee isn’t even worth it.

The shop also features an array of fresh baked goods and unique offerings. This coffee shop is lovely. Greeted by a colorful, organized menu with plenty of options for all kinds of kinds. Fresh baked goods + all the offerings you could want! I had the pleasure of enjoying a August special, the Rocky Road Latte! Highly recommend. Lots of art and beads to purchase if you’d like to support small artists. Love this small business!

Ordered a spinach and feta croissant. Started driving down the road and realized it had mold all over it. (It isn’t feta, there is fuzz all over it). Caramel frappes didn’t hit on much.
Amanda T — Google review
Coffee was really great! A little pricy but great flavor. Service was a bit odd and confusing but not bad.
Thomas G — Google review
We came here to make bracelets and it was amazing! Staff was very kind and there were plenty of options to choose for a bracelet bead. We also got a cloud 9 and it was delicious! This is one of my family's favorite places to go and I can see why!
Jacob V — Google review
Stopped in on a whim early Sunday morning and this place was popping! They made me an excellent decaf non-dairy flat white and my wife some kind of fancy half-caf latte. Clean bathroom, fun art, cool people making delicious things. Our only complaint was our drinks weren’t hot enough but it wasn’t worth dropping a star. Would definitely go again.
Matthew T — Google review
Cute and charming little coffee shop in Avon. It was conveniently located across the street from where I was staying. The iced coffe was better than anything I could have made in my motel room.
Lindsay M — Google review
I’ve went into Ugly Mugs multiple times, as I am a regular. The coffee is good, and the prices are normal for here at the coast. However, it never fails I get rude service. The employees do not want to do anything other than the bare minimum. Multiple drinks were pushed out that were ordered after mine. I asked for a 20oz cup and the employee grabbed a 12oz cup. I asked again if I could get the 20oz cup and the employee slung the cup to the side. Then an uncomfortable and very unprofessional argument broke out between an older woman employee and a younger man employee. Where he claims he had needs to get to the bathroom for an hour and complained about multiple other things. Then, the older woman employee screamed people’s names multiple times in a rude manner to come and get their drinks. She will continue to shout your name even as you’re walking up to the counter. I enjoy the coffee, but the service and atmosphere make it very difficult to push myself to go in there !!! Beware of getting screamed at !
Megan M — Google review
Really good coffee and smoothies. Pastries are homemade and delicious. If you have the expectation of a mom and pop coffee shop you will be pleased in every aspect. There are cute trinkets and jewelry to look at while you wait for your drink. I go here multiple times every trip to avon.

The bakery, which started as a motel in the 1950s, has been serving early-morning sweets for several decades. In addition to their renowned apple uglies, the cafe offers breakfast sandwiches, doughnuts, pastries, and homemade cakes for special occasions.
It's worth waking up early for. The ugly apple are huge and completely stuffed with apples. It took me 3 days to finish but was good to the last bite. Staff is super friendly and helpful. You also have to try a breakfast sandwich 🤤🤤. So yummy.
Priscilla C — Google review
Follow the line of cars and pull into a packed parking lot and you will find the Orange Blossom. Amazing pastry that are larger than life. Place your order and have a seat outside and wait for the curtoius staff to call your name. You won't leave hungry. Highly recommend. Limited hours
Tai S — Google review
Crazy place!!! Packed -inside and outside. That alone tells you how good this place is! It was the best chocolate muffin I have ever had-Ever! The Apple Ugly was so yummy..best if eaten fresh and warm. The chocolate Danish was also very delicious. One of the nicest ladies came down the Long Wait Line to help people take sandwich orders to help move the line along. Highly recommend this Cute, Little, Very Busy Bakery!!!!
Cynthia B — Google review
Okay what everyone says about the apple uglies is true, you definitely want to try them!!! But there are also a lot of other yummy treats: cinnamon rolls, hand pies and lots of different breakfast sandwiches. The place itself is small and quaint. The only downside is this isn't really a place you can sit and enjoy. The only seating is outside and its been super hot so that's not an option right now. But totally worth it to pick up and take home!
Michele G — Google review
I’ll say it again in case you missed the other review: the cinnamon buns with icing are to die for! We also got breakfast sandwiches here and a couple apple uglies. It was busy both times we stopped in (on a vacation) and we were not disappointed about the hype! Delicious, delectable, yummy, not-sharing-mine, obviously not freezer food, generous portions… I’ll miss you Orange Blossom Bakery. There’s no one quite like you back home… Other notes: you can’t eat-in but there’s a porch that seats around 16 or so. It’s not wheelchair friendly so please have your friend pop in for you.
Melissa H — Google review
the famous apple ugly is made for sharing! unless you’re very, very hungry. the cinnamon apple combo is reliably delicious, and the sugar glaze pairs reasonably well with the donut dough beneath. the cinnamon roll is a much more manageable size. if you’re looking for a bagel or food that’s not shown in the display, there’s a bit of a longer wait because of how busy they get. definitely a loved breakfast spot in avon.
Fiona S — Google review
Bought 3 apple uglies which look delicious! Got a bagel burner sandwich which was really tasty. Nice people working there. Very happy I finally get to try an apple ugly. Very very busy establishment so I knew it was going to be good.
Steph K — Google review
So the food was pretty good. Conning roll and ugly were both good. The parking lot was kinda crazy. Too many cars for the space. The line was pretty long to order anything. It’s good, but be prepared for some chaos to get your order.

The menu features breakfast sandwiches, pastries, bagels, and health-conscious choices such as gluten-free and vegetarian options.
Our sandwiches were so very good and fresh. And the Chai tea latte with raspberry was delish! Although they were closing at 2pm, people continued to enter and order, and the staff were very kind and friendly. We highly recommend!!
Parker F — Google review
Came here twice during our vacation to the outer banks. Smoothies are plenty big and can be split into two cups ($1 upcharge) and was a hit with my kids. The hot Eddie breakfast bagel was so good with just a hint of spicy. The hubs enjoyed a classic with the walkover bagel. I also enjoyed a couple different iced lattes(Hawaiian mocha and coffee cake), but did ask for it to be slightly less sweet. It's a really cute coffee shop with plenty of space to sit. Would definitely revisit!
Brittany B — Google review
Modern deli, coffee shop, brew pub with incredible food and drink and great selection. Can get super busy on turn days and prices are super high but probably tracks with what most people are used to if coming in on vacation from major metro areas. Friendly staff and kid friendly.
Forrest C — Google review
Super cute place to stop for lunch or breakfast. Food and coffees were amazing. It was packed for breakfast but line moved quickly and food and drink came out quickly based on how many people were there. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. On a less busy day it would be a nice place to get coffee and work in one of the lounge tables.
Erica E — Google review
Good stuff all the way around. Counter service and then you pick up your food in a cubby when it's ready. Plenty of seating in various types of chairs and set ups. Plenty of things to buy while you are waiting for your order. Nice selection of craft beers to take to go.
Kevin W — Google review
Stopped in to order our coffee/food to go. It didn't take too long despite them being very busy. The coffee was good and the sandwich was delicious. I'll for sure be going back.
Emma Q — Google review
I don’t leave reviews often, but I was in Nags Head for an afternoon and wanted to try a local place. Let me tell you, absolutely banging sandwich and coffee! Staff were so lovely and love the vibes in the place. Definitely will be back!

This place is a powerhouse. Truly, how can you beat a place that makes some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had (Hot Eddie: 10/10), serves 12 beers on draft starting at 7AM, and offers 32oz nitro cold brews. As well, the local crafts and beer/wine to go offers a variety of ways to indulge yourself.

Front Porch Cafe in Kill Devil Hills is a local gem offering freshly roasted coffee, baked goods, and free Wi-Fi. With three community coffeehouses, it's known for its artisan-roasted coffee and specialty drinks like nitro brew and kombucha. The welcoming atmosphere provides ample seating inside and out, making it a great spot to enjoy a hot mocha or their excellent house coffee while surfing the web. Customers also praise the superb customer service at this locally-owned cafe.
Oh I love this place and start every morning here. The staff are more than friendly (despite the unending chain of customers lining up for their morning fix of caffeine and baked goods). The coffee is fantastic and VERY reasonably priced. Baked goods are all fresh and usually still warm. And everything is served with a positive attitude. Bonus: probably the BEST SUGAR COOKIES on the planet. A JEWEL of the OBX, for sure!
Adam S — Google review
4 stars The coffee was decent, I ordered decaf espresso as I’m not able to have caffeine so it’s my fault but it was not flavorful at all unfortunately. Besides that the services was amazing and the employees were so kind and chatted while my large family went through and ordered! We had 8 drinks and they were done in about 5 minutes!! We will definitely be back to try some more drinks and pastries!
Awna E — Google review
I’ve been having the worst luck trying to find a good matcha latte in OBX… but after seeing all the positive reviews for Front Porch Café, we decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did! The ambiance and vibe here are lovely. The shop is super cute with plenty of tables and space to sit, relax, or get some work done. The staff was SO friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Now, the matcha… it did not disappoint! Perfect balance, great flavor, and the right color (unlike another spot in OBX that basically handed me green milk the other day 🙃). The everything bagel I had was tasty, and my husband said their banana nut muffin was a fantastic twist on a classic. He also really enjoyed the nitro cold brew – solid and smooth. Definitely recommend checking them out at this location and supporting them – such a great find!
Arianna D — Google review
My favorite coffee on the OBX! I’ve been getting the West 3rd Latte for over 15+ years and it ALWAYS tastes the same no matter when I go! It’s is so amazing to support local coffee shops and NOT the chains that make horrible drinks everytime!
Travis I — Google review
Picked up a hot matcha to go. Based on other reviews, added a pump of vanilla since it comes unsweetened. Simple but hit the spot. I also appreciate their insulated cups. No need for cardboard koozies that slip off!

Phenomenal little cafe! We come down to OBX a few times a year and we always stop in here - never once had a bad experience. Great coffee, friendly staff and tasty treats. 10/10 every time!

It's a popular gathering place for locals and visitors alike, where you can enjoy classic coffee brews like espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and iced coffee.
This place has so many coffee options I was so impressed. It also has a wide selection of decaf drinks such as smoothies, refreshers, and frozen drinks. The front area has many games such as ping pong, badminton, tic tac toe, board games, and swings. There are many seating options and it is so fun to stop by at for coffee and to enjoy your time. The muffins are all delicious and the drinks were the perfect size. They have pumpkin spice lattes in the spring!!! Yay!!! ☕️🌊☀️🌷🌼💕☺️

We LOVE this place for coffee. So many options and wonderful service. Fun for kids too!! Granddaughter loves the activities.

Open on Sunday morning after I disembarked from the Ocracoke ferry and the place was hopping. A pretty constant flow of customers coming and going for their caffeine, which is exactly what I was doing as well. Lots of great flavors and combinations of syrups and a lovely display of baked goods. My latte with sugar free hazelnut was perfection. Great smooth coffee, just the right amount of syrup and before I knew it, it was gone. And so was I, on to the next. A definite great stop. They have a few tables and counter space if you're looking to sit with a laptop.
Bruce I — Google review
Been here everyday of our vacation so far and this place is absolutely perfect, the food is delicious and the drinks are just perfect. The staff is super sweet and very patient.

We love the Dancing Turtle's new location next to the Red and White grocery store in Hatteras Village. In a beachy house with a beautiful yard and welcoming interior. Handmade baked goods as well as fun and delicious coffee drinks. I'm enjoying a fantastic Butter Rum muffin and frozen Raspberry White Chocolate mocha on their deck right now. Wow! And Staff is awesome. This is a must stop when we visit Hatteras.

Ordered off of doordash for breakfast delivery to our hotel room, and it was delicious. I really enjoyed my latte. They made it exactly how I asked them, and it tasted incredible. Everyone was happy with their food. Their blueberry scone paired great with my lavender cbd latte. Loved all the options when making it not always available at other places. Highly recommend.

First time stopping by and had a really great experience. I try not to make too many changes to a menu item, but he was happy to accommodate the coconut milk and switching chocolate whipped cream to vanilla. They were busy, but I still got my drink in under five minutes. Lots of seating inside and out and very conveniently located off the main road.

We stopped here for the first time while on our yearly anniversary getaway. It is very nice! I loved the atmosphere. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. We sat out front in the chairs and enjoyed our banana walnut muffin and coffee for breakfast. Can’t wait to visit again next year.
Amanda D — Google review
Loved this place! This was recommended by a waitress at a restaurant we stopped at when we first got to the outer banks. We went to 2 locations and they were both equal as far as service, coffee, and apple turnovers! Very nice people, pleasant and they make your drinks the way you want them. Very clean and a nice place to just sit and relax. Can't wait to come back next year!!!! UPDATE: this is a updated review and a year later....changing my review to food...didn't get any....service....to a 4...not as friendly atmosphere...5...the same....PRICES ....outrageous!!! The same drink I bought a year ago was $3 more this year! That is crazy! I went to the one in Kill Devil Hills and it was $7 .63 and the same drink and size was $9.14 ! WHY? NEVER again!! No prices listed...they shock you with the price after you order! Sorry...not coming back! I know prices have gone up everywhere, but I'm not going to be taken advantage of! Shame on them!

Muffins And Scones is a renowned bakery that has been serving the Hatteras community for over 40 years. Their signature Apple Uglies, made from leftover donut dough and apples, are a must-try. In addition to delicious pastries, they offer craft coffees, smoothies, and even gluten-free options. The cozy seating area provides a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy their wide selection of pastries, bagels, sandwiches, soups, and beverages.
It looks like the place to go if you want a giant piece of cake. I bought a drip coffee. It was "serve yourself", which I prefer as long as they keep things topped off. I was just passing through so I don't know if they do when things get busy. I test both coffees and they were a 4 out of 5. Which I think is a good score for an operation that manages tourists. However, if you put cream and sugar in your coffee then it doesn't really matter and this place is a 5 for you. Good selection of pastries. I bought a blueberry scone. It was simple and baked in house. Perfect if you ask me. Lastly, it had a seating area with some comfortable seating options. It's always nice to see that!

I’ve been here many times before….. however, this time one in our party car broke down nearby so as we waited for AAA, we came in and actually sat inside and had bagel sandwiches and pastries, baked goods and wonderful coffees! The food the bagel sandwiches are amazing. The bagels themselves are very good. The baked goods were fresh and very tasty. Customer service was exceptional! I finally got to sit in the big room with the comfy couches such a very neat atmosphere to just sit in and relax with people An amazing food and drinks! Coffee is great as are their mixed coffee drinks. We had bagel sandwiches, pizza The pizza bagel sandwich, peach muffin, cinnamon roll, blueberry scone, double chocolate muffin, New Thai cream cheese croissant , angel kiss mochas, and caramel macchiato! All exceptional!

One week in Hatteras, 9th trip to OBX, and this has become a new favorite. Creme Brule hot coffee is delicious, and the spinach/artichoke quiche with pasta salad is fantastic! Raspberry, white chocolate muffin was equally delicious. Our group of 3 thoroughly enjoyed every meal.

We got apple turnovers, chocolate chip muffins and chocolate chip scones. They were all yummy. My son also got a peach smoothie, finished before I could get a pic. He said it was just right, not too sweet.
Wendy T — Google review
Honestly, was not impressed. To start, the smoothies were very watery and bitter. The blueberry bagel tasted like it had been sitting with some of the savory bagels because it wasn’t sweet or blueberry flavored at all. The sausage egg and cheese was good, but my bagel was pretty burnt.
Madison W — Google review
We paid $40 per 2 coffee , 2muffins and 2 bacon, egg&cheese . It’s a lot. Especially more than $10 per one bagel But everything was horrible. Muffins was wet . Seems like someone spilled water on it. And our sandwiches i got a ton of eggshell on my egg. What is gross as there is a ton of bacterias on top of the eggshell. We asked for ketchup they gave us expired ketchup. Tiny bags was puffed up and when we opened it was really bad😡. My husband asked for good one they said they do not have it. The prices is really high but nothing worst the money you pay. Im really shocked. I was left without breakfast today. We are from Stamford.CT it’s not a village it’s city where prices is high but even there you can get perfect breakfast for cheaper. Omg even in Dunkin you can have better food!!!
Eireen M — Google review
Not exquisite but good enough to make this our traditional breakfast stop on our check out day in Avon. The Nessy lox bagel is my favorite but I want it on a jalapeño bagel. The day old cinnamon buns at at a discount were bland, however. There is quite a variety of drinks, bagel sandwiches, scrumptious cakes...well, a whole hell of a lot of neat stuff. There is a nook room to sit in peace if you want, as well as a generic fining area but we always get takeout for our dismal ride home.
Robert L — Google review
We bought double chocolate muffin that seem 3 or 4 days old. It was very dry even the chocolate chips were turning color like old chocolate does. My wife muffin was no better. We also tried there scones, that were not at all what we expected. Eatable but not good. If we would have tried a fresh made sandwich or something like that we might of been happy.

Outer Banks Coffee is a charming coffee shop that has been serving freshly roasted coffee since 1994. The shop offers a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and homemade pastries. The owner takes pride in crafting small batches of the finest Arabica beans to ensure a delightful experience for customers. While the service may not cater to everyone's preferences, the unique atmosphere and delicious drinks make it worth a visit.
Love this shop! The menu boasts a wide variety of drinks, and they are delicious! My favorite part of the experience is the owner’s collection of spiders, which he kindly taught us about when we asked. Family members and I went twice on this trip, and I’ll happily return whenever I’m in the area.

It was a bit of a long line moving slow (but there was a sign that said be patient- short staffed). The coffee is good. But for the love of God do t make any reference to SBX or any type of SPX product names or sizes or brand—- they have a thing about that
John D — Google review
It was a very dry welcome, and the coffee was not good. I took 2 sips and threw it away. Also, I was alarmed to notice the wall of tarantula exhibits and boxes of crickets while waiting for my coffee.
Jennifer R — Google review
Really wanted to like this spot. Owner was rude to customers and his staff. As others have mentioned, he openly berrated an employee in front of customers for getting an order wrong (and it was his fault). Drinks are okay, but nothing worthy of stopping.
Tommy ( — Google review
Like others, we wanted to love this place while supporting a local business. The lattes were not good and overpriced. Edited in response to owner’s reply (1yr later): I have no problem spending more for good coffee, but the coffee has to be good. That was not the case here. Coffee was terrible and service wasn’t great either.
Jess M — Google review
If I could give it 0 stars I would. My sister and I came here to support a seemingly small local coffee shop but were taken aback by how terrible the overall experience was. The coffee tastes awful. The sizes are virtually no different from each other. The staff was nasty and rolled our eyes at us while taking our order and when we were nothing but up-beat and nice to them. I do not recommend coming. Go to Dunkin’ Donuts across the street instead or drive an hour away to go to a Starbucks.
Sadie E — Google review
Coffee is phenomenal - not too sweet, perfect balance. The owner is nice, hilarious, and knows how to make a dang good cup of Joe! After we discovered this place, we only come here when we're in Corolla. Save yourself the trouble of looking around and just head here. You're welcome
Naomi H — Google review
Good coffee. I give this guy 5 stars because he is his own guy. He isn't catering to the customer and the need to always be polite. He is a good guy but if you are someone who complains and don't pay attention to signs then you may not like this place, as he seems to think like a libratarian. Cool feature is his own crypto mining computer in the corner. He makes coffee and he is about people taking personal responsibility. Most of the negative reviews are focused on not wearing a mask which I believe he would say you are welcome to that opinion so go somewhere else. He was fast and polite at 7 am which is what I want when I go to get a morning cup of coffee. My only complaint is that he opens late for us vacationers who need a 6 am place... Which most places in duck/Corolla open 7 or later.

BEADS & BEANS OBX is a laid-back, quick-service spot that offers a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, as well as smoothies and baked goods. Located in the Tri-villages of Hatteras Island, this coffee house also functions as a working studio.
We loved our quick trip to Beads & Beans! Friendly staff and their wide variety menus for coffee, pastries and other things are sure to please everyone who stops in. We loved the iced caramel macchiato and the Carmel coconut latte. But, the star of the show was the warm apple fritter. I should’ve ordered more than one!! This place also has other creations made by them, like their hand poured candles and other trinkets!
Amber M — Google review
This is the place to get coffee with sense of humor. The coffee & pastries were delicious, the prices were very reasonable (especially in a resort town), and the service was wonderful! What more can you ask from a coffee shop? Oh, you would also ask for an adorable gift shop? Well, you can have that too!

What a cute find! We stopped on our way out of town and grabbed a couple of chais and some pastries. The homemade poptart is CRAZY good & bigger than your hand! The staff was super friendly and we loved the little shop -- lots of cute gifts. ALSO, LOVED the LOVE and Pride flags! :)

I recently spent a week in Rodanthe, and a lot could be said about how the town in general is such a serene setting for a relaxing and needed beach retreat. However, one stand out is this quaint little coffee shop, from their delicious morning pick me ups to the fabulous pastries they offer to pair with them, and hey if coffee isn't your thing they have many and more options for you. They also have a ton of interesting and unique souvenirs you can pick up for your friends or loved ones back home, or if you are like me grab a sticker to remember the little things from vacation that made it all the more special. In a world where we have Starbucks on every corner, except in Rodanthe, this place was not only refreshing but on par. With all that said the best aspect needs to be mentioned...the service. Not only were they friendly and polite they quickly remembered weekly once a season regulars, which added so much to the overall feel of the place. I plan to visit the Outer Banks again and one thing I will look forward to other than the sound of waves or the feel of sand is Beads & Beans.

Visiting the OBX for the first time and saw this place on my first day. It wasn't open for the first few days but it was posted when they open back up. I read good reviews and bad reviews with all the bad reviews saying they had issues with rudeness and staff service. Me and my husband went around 10:30 and it was already very crowde. I had a pleasant experience, the shop was pretty busy and we were met with kindness and I didn't feel rushed at all. We each got a spinach feta croissant and I got a mocha, both things were delicious. Wish I could've seen the bead portion but that didn't ruin my experience.

Stopped in a couple times on our trip to Rodanthe. Coffee, pastries, and breakfast pizza that we tried were all delicious. The owner was so nice and very laid back. We had caramel macchiato, cardamom caramel latte, coffee cake, raspberry coffee cake, cinnamon rolls 🤤, and sausage gravy hash brown pizza. Menu varies and is posted daily to their Facebook.

Food and drinks were really good. Fresh and delicious. We went there since April but I forgot to leave a review. I’m now missing the food and smoothies there. We will definitely be back this restaurant when we go to Outer Bank.
K — Google review
Location is everything here. The food was horrible. It cost $94 for myself and 3 kids to eat lunch here, and we left disappointed and hungry. Everything was flavorless and mostly just greens. I understand offering healthy options, and I’m all for that, but you can still season your food and include an appropriate ratio of protein to filler. My 6 year old was complaining about the grilled cheese and I kept trying to get her to eat it until I took a bite and it was literally like eating cardboard. Hard and dry. We were so bummed that I ended up just taking them to get Surfin Spoon immediately after to make up for it.

Good food, nutrient dense options. I tried the snickers bowl & my son had the chicken wrap. Nice location on the water. Iced Mocha was okay, not great.
John G — Google review
I was so excited to find a place that takes online orders and has GF options. The salad bowl was DELICIOUS. And my husband enjoyed the chicken bacon wrap. My kids enjoyed their pancakes (so much so I don’t have a picture). Since we enjoyed it so much we decided to order a second time and the second time was NOT as good as the first. The shrimp in my salad was not seasoned as it had been the first time. I had also paid extra for feta cheese and they didn’t put it on. They also didn’t give us any ketchup or syrup for the sandwich/hashbrowns & pancake. Just disappointed in the inconsistency since the first time was the outstanding and second time was average. We did take out both times and online ordering was easy but make sure you double check your order before driving back to your home.
Larissa K — Google review
It was such a fun, cute little café right by the water. They are family friendly (including your furry family member) and they have so many healthy, delicious options. The gluten free selection is excellent- the case of baked goods was almost entirely gluten free and the menu had more GF options than I've seen in a while. The gentleman at the check out is delightful, he's so easy to chat with and attentive to all the customers, even when it got busy. Finally, there's a shop area at the entrance with a good variety of souvenirs at good prices. They also had handmade mugs for really good prices. It's a great place to have breakfast or lunch and then grab a little piece of memorabilia. I can't wait to be back for lunch today 😊

Great spot on the water with a good amount of options for vegans. We got a few drinks along tofu scramble, with vegan cheese. Also, plenty of vegan smoothie options, açaí bowls, and protein balls.
Dr. H — Google review
Freshfit was cited by a national food magazine as having some of the best pancakes in the country, so I sought them out. I’m not sure we would have stopped otherwise, as it looks like just another smoothie bar. But once we did, we ate several more meals there. Their food and portion sizes are fantastic and everything is prepared fresh. Located right on the sound with waterfront tables. And the pancakes were really good too! Highly recommend.
Sali G — Google review
Freshfit Cafe was so cute! The workers were very helpful and kind. The food was very good and service was speedy and neat. We ordered the blueberry pancakes and several types of omelets with hash browns, as well as some specialty coffees. The omelets came scrambled which I hadn’t had before, but they were very delicious!! Very cute place and I will definitely be back!

Such a cute and cozy addition to the historic village! I got a pumpkin cold brew with pumpkin cinnamon cold foam when I came in this morning. The coffee was nice and smooth with no sour notes and the pumpkin flavoring was just enough sweetness for the drink! The baristas were lovely and the overall shop was beautiful! Probably the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shop I’ve been to and that’s coming from a self proclaimed connoisseur of cafes and such! Definitely a must hit spot for many vacations to come!

Coffee Shop No. 412 The Kind Cup Corolla, NC September 5, 2024 Is it an art shop? Is it a coffee roasting plant? Is it a cafe? The Kind Cup is all of these and so much more! After my son and I climbed the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and strolled through the Historic Corolla Park I was ready for an energy boost and the joy of another cortado. We walked under the canopy of trees, stopped to watch all the children playing at the chapel/school house and then crossed the street to the heart of the village to The Kind Cup. From across the street the first thing I noticed was the round black sign with white lettering, “Corolla’s Coffee Roaster”. If a shop roasters their own beans you can almost always guarantee a good cup of coffee; so I definitely had a jovial skip as I walked up to the shop. As I climbed the three steps to the porch a colorful sign caught my attention, “Art and Coffee are good for the soul”. I had a good feeling I was about to walk into a gem. The Kind Cup is a brightly lit, well organized, and an inviting space for people to browse through local artists’ work; everything from ceramics, to painting, jewelry, stationary and so much more. The bonus was the rich aroma of coffee lingering through the shop. I was in heaven. I spent 45 minutes walking through the shop admiring the artwork and marveling over the talented hands and spirit of the artists. I purchased a few items for family and friends and each of them commented on the positively on their gifts. The three you ladies at the coffee counter shared the magic of souther charm with all the customers. They were polite, engaging, easy to chat to and wore a sweet smile. We talked about coffee and the shop. Then one of the young ladies made a delicious cortado that I took out to their porch, sipped on and watched people walking in and out of the shop. The Kind Cup is definitely a spot you do not want to miss if you are ever visiting the Historic Corolla Village in the northern part of the Outer Banks. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

The Kind Cup is a charming little coffee shop that’s worth the wait. While waiting in line, you can check out Art, jewelry, & unique handmade gifts from local artisans, knowing you are also standing in a restored, historic building right in the heart of historic Corolla Village. Coffee options are delicious & I especially love the Kindberry Lemonade (recipe is listed on the wall, not on the big menu board). As a Corolla veteran, it’s always on my list, each summer & worth an early morning visit during your vacation. I love that small businesses, like this, exist in my favorite part of the world! Make a stop at the Kind Cup during your Corolla vacation too!!!!
Jessica E — Google review

We had the lemon poppyseed muffin and raspberry crumble cake regular coffee and decaf salted caramel latte with skim milk. The coffee was good. The service was fantastic. Great buttery taste on the cake part of the raspberry crumble cake. Very heavy layer of crumbs. (I should have had it in 3 servings.) Be sure to look around the shop at the specialty items offered for sale by local artists. Dresses, sweaters, mittens, gloves hats, sweatshirts and other clothing upstairs. Jewelry, t-shirts, water colors, sketches, pottery and other cool items are downstairs.

One of the best coffee spots on the island. The line will be long most mornings from 8-10:30, but it moves along pretty quickly. Staff is friendly and make great drinks. In the evenings the main restaurant is closed, but there is a small side shop serving wine, hard setlzers and espresso. Take a break on the porch and enjoy your beverage on island time.

This place is extremely busy in the mornings!!! Good thing is they have 3 or 4 baristas taking care of patrons. Drip coffee is extremely hot. I would recommend asking for a few ice cubes. In addition their breakfast items that you would normally find heated up are not. For instance, we had bacon and cheese croissants but they served them cold. That was weird. They would’ve been better heated up. We ate them at the outside picnic tables with our dog friends that we met on the island. We also went back later in the day for smoothies. Less crowds, excellent smoothies and the girls behind the counter are very sweet! They just don’t like Benson Boone unless Joelle is working 😂

lemon poppyseed muffin is the way to go! the chai smoothie was good, but i didn’t really see why a chai should be a smoothie. the whipped cream also didn’t pair too well, which you have the option to add at an extra charge. unfortunately, the chocolate puff pastry sounded much more exciting than it tasted. it didn’t have much flavor and the texture also threw me off. lastly, make sure you use your time in line to read over the ordering instructions! because of how busy they are, they’re particular about the procedure of things. overall, a fun stop on the tram to check out!

The charming island Atmosphere was great, plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. The coffee is really good and decently priced. The coffee shop food was just that. Good, not great and way overpriced. To add capers to a bagel with lox was an additional $2.30…..last but certainly not least….the staff. Awful. Tell me you don’t want to be somewhere without telling me you don’t want to be somewhere. We came multiple mornings in a row. Crazy how that alone changes the ENTIRE experience. And the rules?!?!..:…:printed too small on a bar, 20’ from menu and checkout. If there was another coffee shop on the island…go there instead.
Kristian P — Google review
We came here during our day trip to Ocracoke. We seen many great things about the shop on social media and we wanted to give it a try. While the baked goods were good, they were most definitely overpriced. The staff were NOT friendly and offered no help with ordering or when questions were asked about menu items. The atmosphere was decent. The shop for sure had potential, however, the rude staff helped me make my decision with not returning to this coffee shop. The menu board was extremely small and prices for some items were not listed correctly. The smoothies were very pricey and tasteless….. $8.49 for a smoothie that wasn’t drinkable is insane. For one large coffee, one smoothie, a cookie, a braided pastry, and a scone that was labeled as cinnamon apple and ended up being something completely different I paid $40. Overpriced and overhyped. Wouldn’t return.
Skyler L — Google review
I love this coffee shop and it’s a must-go when visiting Ocracoke. If you are visiting during summer, there is likely to be a waiting line but don’t get discouraged because it moves pretty quickly. We had the quad shot cappuccino, a lemonade smoothie and a chai latte along with the cranberry orange coffee cake and a donut. All delicious! I highly recommend this place for the vibe, the location, the food and the drinks.

We have been going to the ocracoke coffee co for many years. We love the laid back relaxed atmosphere , the coffee is delicious . Generally we have always been treated with kindness and respect. This year (June and September 2025) the service has been lacking. I bought merchandise. I took my $100 of overpriced merchandise to the checkout and the person would not even acknowledge me, after waiting on multiple people ordering coffee, he said how many do you have, I don’t have a bag for those . I patiently replied that if I did not follow procedure I’d be more than happy to wait in the coffee ordering line. I explained that a few days prior I had been in and purchased merchandise and after waiting in a long line was told it was not necessary. The persons reply was it’s dependent on his mood and staff. Honestly I’ll be hard pressed to ever return ! My earnings and time are too precious to be treated as such.

We stopped here because it was the first place we saw and we were starving. Best decision ever! The food was amazingly delicious. Not expensive either! I had the spicy tuna steak sandwich, my bf had the “heat” burger with pepper-jack cheese and jalapeños, we shared an order of “disco fries” (cheese & gravy - it was white cheese and the gravy was so tasty it didn’t need salt, which is a big deal for me, I usually have to salt everything). The kids had cheese fries & a BLT, and both had fruit smoothies. You go in and pick a table to sit at (the decor and atmosphere isn’t much to rave about, it’s basically cafeteria style but they do have outside deck seating as well), and then go to the counter to order. We were there mid week in the late afternoon, so it wasn’t very busy but several other families were dining, our food didn’t take long at all. We were blown away by how GOOD the food was! We are both in the restaurant biz back home (he’s a chef), so we know a little bit about food, and believe me, the food was ridiculously good! Do yourself a favor and try it out. Now I want to go back and try the fish tacos! I saw them listed on the sign outside but when I saw they had fresh tuna steak I forgot all about them! I’d also like to try one of their smoothies, the kids loved them.

Atlantic has been a tradition in our family for the last 7 years. Its our first stop before we check in. We usually stay in Buxton, however this year it was all booked. Some items you may want to try are the Fish Tacos, fried is by far the best with home made jalapeno salsa . The pulled pork is also amazing. Atlantic has great kids menu with a lot of different side to chose from. Highly recommended. Outdoor seating is available.

Sweettooth/Fig Tree Bakery and Deli is a charming spot that offers a delectable array of breakfast and lunch options. Their menu features an assortment of breakfast combinations served on biscuits, bagels, and English muffins, as well as made-to-order deli sandwiches and wraps crafted with fresh ingredients. In addition to savory items, the bakery also boasts a delightful selection of homemade treats such as fudge, chocolate candies, ice cream, and various cakes.
Breakfast, lunch, ... Salt water taffy😀. Fudge, candies, and all kinds of yummy stuff. If it's busy, you may have to wait a little while, but it's all worth it. Plenty of outdoor seating, and the staff always has a smile for you.

Great food at good prices! Baked on-site pastries, fudge, wonderful shrimp salad, breakfast food. We've paid much more for sit-down restaurant meals, which we enjoyed less. Outdoor table seating.

We got a country ham sweet potato biscuit and a bacon egg cheese bagel. They were delicious! We also got two bagels to go for sunrise next morning and they were still fresh tasting and scrumptious.

i have so much to talk about sweet tooth/fig tree but unfortunately i have no pictures of the things i ate there because im always so excited for it and never remember! this is my second year going to ocracoke and sweet tooth is what makes me excited about going there! lol! breakfast is great, coffee is good and fast and ~now for the most important part~ the sweets are close to perfection. a list of sweets from the absolutely best to the just best: triple chocolate cheesecake, triple chocolate cake, big chocolate cake (the ultimate matilda cake but not overly sweet just the right amount of everything) all fudges (we always buy pounds of it and freeze it) a few other cheesecakes, white chocolate macadamia cookies, brownies! in short: just go for it!

Front Porch Cafe-Manteo is a laid-back coffee shop with three community coffeehouses that offer house-roasted beans, baked goods, and bagels. The Nags Head location allows you to watch the beans being roasted. They are known for serving some of the best artisan-roasted coffee on the beach along with specialty coffee drinks, teas, and chai.
My wife and I stopped here on our way to the Elizabethton Gardens on Roanoke Island. They had seating on the front porch, but we chose to sit inside and enjoyed a really great cup of coffee together and split a cranberry muffin. It was one of the best cup of coffees that we’ve had together or maybe it was just the company lol. The muffin was fantastic all that stuff and our service was great. I would suggest if you’re in the area and you want some coffee or a muffin to stop by. You won’t be disappointed.

Made a pit stop here to grab some coffee and sweets after driving for awhile. Totally legit place. I had their chocolate bianco latte and it's better than the usual chains out there. Their baked goods are tasty; doesn't taste like cardboard. Tried their end of day scone which was half price. Still delicious. I see that they have several locations. Will definitely add them to my list of coffee shops.

I was really looking forward to that first morning sip of coffee, but unfortunately, it had a burnt taste that was hard to ignore. I genuinely love the café and its atmosphere — it’s a cozy and welcoming place. That’s why it’s so disappointing. A little more care with cleaning the coffee machines and preparing the coffee properly would make such a difference. I left feeling quite let down.
Vasilisa T — Google review
Awful service. Not only did it take almost half an hour to get our coffees but one only came out half full and the other that was specifically ordered without whipped cream was served with whipped cream. Dont waste your time - go to Starbucks. Service and quality of product are the same but Starbucks is faster. Unfortunately we were due somewhere else and didn't have another half hour to wait for our drinks to be corrected. Cold foam does settle and that's expected - we didn't expect half the cup to be cold foam though.

Chilllll! That's the vibe this place resonates. A huge cafe with a ton of solid options. The usual, Cortado, Chocolate cwaaassaaaannn, iced latte (I went with the Beach Blanket - I mean, white chocolate and coconut...mmhmm). The drinks and food were legit. The service was great too.

Outer Bean Cafe is a vibrant and colorful cafe that offers an array of coffee drinks, juices, smoothies, as well as simple breakfasts, sandwiches, and salads. It's not just your typical coffee shop; they prioritize health-conscious options by sourcing local produce and offering both local and fair trade varieties of java. The cafe also focuses on community involvement by repurposing organic waste back to the local co-op.

Coffee Shop No. 410 Outer Bean Kitty Hawk, NC September 5, 2024 If there is one thing I have learned over the last two in and a half years it’s that a genuine smile and a warm greeting goes a really long way. It can transform an ordinary drink into something special. It makes the magic of coffee last throughout the entire day. I was immediately welcomed when I walked into the Outer Bean. Initially, I was bummed because cortados were not on the menu. I asked the barista if she would try to make one. She said sure. I gave her general directions and she walked to the espresso machine. A couple of minutes later she handed me a cup with two shots of espresso and a stainless steel pitcher with steamed milk. The barista said, “Why don’t you add the milk in so you get it just the way you want.” I thought this was a thoughtful gesture. I thanked her and made my cortado. We chatted a bit. It turned out she is Thai and my husband is Thai; and I love to talk about Thailand. I took a few pictures. We exchanged goodbyes and I exited the cafe with a genuine smile and a very positive impression of the Outer Bean. Smiles are free and they can elevate and/or improve any situation. Plus, folks always look better when they smile. I hope you make this world a better place by sharing your smile with someone today. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

We (family of 4) stopped here for lunch and ordered for a few mushroom paninis and smoothies. Since my son has severe nut allergies, we checked with the lady behind the desk to see if the pesto has any nuts and if they could make the sandwich without the pesto. She seemed unsure and did not want to help build the sandwich without the nuts! Decided not to tip them. We had Mango and OBX smoothies. The best part is that there is no added sugar and the smoothie tastes pretty good. A sandwich and a smoothie is pretty filling. Will recommend the place, but do not expect anything great in terms of service.
Mukund N — Google review
Found this place with good reviews after all the sit down restaurants had long waits. It’s small and seats 20 people tops and has a very local vibe so we figured it could go either way. Bagels and cream cheese were fresh and toasted perfectly. BLT had plenty of bacon and felt lovingly prepared. Service was fast and friendly even with limited staff.

Our party of 3 (2 vegetarians and 1 vegan) absolutely loved our lunches here. The owner was friendly and accommodating and obviously puts time and intention into her recipes. We didn't feel like her veggie options were an afterthought, like they were most other places in the OBX. The basil pesto and sun-dried tomato pesto were stellar. The fresh mozzarella was creamy and delicious. Her smoothies and coffee drinks were delicious as well. This was by far our favorite place to eat on our vacation!

Ordered from Uber Eats. In comments asked for a black coffee and a coffee with cream. We received 2 Black coffees. No cream. Ordered 1 pound of Coffee with the request for it to be “Ground” and received Whole Bean. We are on vacation with no grinder and no groceries. We thought it would be worth the expense of the delivery to enjoy our coffee. Coffee tasted good but the order was not filled with care.

Prices were good, two women working one completely ignoring customers and not helping the poor girl up front to make drinks, she’s taking multiple orders before making a single drink. There’s no reason a $5 tea should take 25 minutes with 6 customers max in the store.

Duck's Cottage is a charming coffee shop nestled in one of Duck's oldest buildings, offering a relaxed setting surrounded by books. For over 15 years, it has been known for serving the freshest artisan-roasted coffee on the northern beaches. Visitors can enjoy a variety of espresso drinks, herbal teas, chai lattes, pastries, and Sweet Maria's biscotti. The quaint cottage also features a selection of local souvenirs and books for purchase.
Just got back from our annual OBX family vacation. We've been getting our daily coffee at Duck's Cottage for the past 15 years. The Coconut Crunch is insanely delicious. The staff is super friendly and really add to the whole experience. We always make sure to bring home 3-4 extra bags of coffee so we can savor the memories. Can't wait to be back next summer!

Duck’s Cottage is a gem in OBX that is a perfect place to patron if you’re looking for a great way to start your day or get an afternoon boost. It’s a cute and cozy shop with a really appealing atmosphere. As an avid coffee drinker, the coffee isn’t “the best I’ve ever had”, but it’s still good! Even as someone who’s not much of a reader, I appreciate the selection of books! Duck’s Cottage is worth a visit for sure and could become a staple of your trips to the Banks.

I hosted my family to coffee and a pastry. I blurted out to the young lady taking orders if they made hearts on their lattes. Great little shop, love the books but unfortunately the coffee is terrible. I had just a plain drip coffee and it tastes very under extracted, bitter water if you will. Seems and tastes like they never truly clean their coffee pots. The top of my coffee looks like a mineral mosaic….yuck! Also seemed like we were inconveniencing the concierges in their conversation. The waterfront is gorgeous though!

Worth the wait! I visit this cafe whenever I’m in town. There’s normally a long line if you come before 10 am during the summer but it’s mostly because the food is great. The biscuits have a nice crumbly crust and the inside is buttery and flaky! The French toast is delicious too -but massive, perfect for sharing! They also have healthy alternatives in their menu and everything tastes fresh and delicious. Their staff is the cherry on top because they’re friendly and very polite. I can’t wait to come back!

Unfortunately this place was not what I expected for a more expensive breakfast, I paid 22$ before tax & tip for a matcha and egg/cheese bacon biscuits. The matcha was very bitter and meaning it was either bad quality or expired… not something I’d like to spend 6$ on… the biscuits on the other hand was okay, it was freshly made but no salt and had a very bland taste but the bread itself was very nicely made. I appreciate that the food was actually freshly made though. If you go here I think your paying more for the atmosphere
Brianna B — Google review
Cute cafe in a fun setting. I got an iced vanilla latte and the bacon avocado egg and cheese on a biscuit. Highlights were definitely the decent latte and the amazing biscuit. The biscuit itself was wonderful, just enough sweetness and was the perfect consistency. Bacon was thick and more like a chunk of ham, but tasty. There was a generous amount of egg, but it did not have much flavor and the avocado was barely there. Unfortunately, would not recommend the food for the price.
Allison B — Google review
A lovely situated cafe in the town of Duck, old style house from the exterior with loads of aesthetic look. You enter and are met by the counter right away, a little cramped if there's people milling about or queuing too. The fridge was mostly empty so either a good busy day or poor top up drills. The server was pleasant, she highlighted her favourite things that we tried and got us going. The food was given a table number but the drinks although sitting in were still in plastic cups, and I had to wait at the counter for drinks. Why not bring drinks with food? Or give a proper cup? Sat outside in the courtyard, great big space, but needs bug fans or citronella oil as the flys were everywhere. Food however was great. Large, fresh, exceptional tasting portions. From peach cobbler French toast to brie biscuits. 100% need to come again.
Fred G — Google review
My husband and I found this restaurant by checking local eateries. At first glance, this chic restaurant is lively and with the times. Upon checking out the food menu, the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit caught our attention along with the fried chicken biscuit. The food came out about 10 minutes after ordering. We arrived around 10:00 am and there was a small line, but it moved quickly. The bacon, egg and cheese came out on a massive biscuit which my husband ( a bread lover) loved. I thought the biscuit was too dense and not salty enough. The bacon was a bit too thick, reminding me of smoked pork vs breakfast bacon. The chicken biscuit was similar, a very large biscuit, but with a sizable piece of chicken. We both loved the chicken along with the hot honey drizzle. Overall, a live local singer was singing in the courtyard, creating a calming and nice environment. The food was unique, but I don’t see myself going back.
Chloe P — Google review
My husband and I stopped here with our dogs to get me a coffee and both of us something to eat before our drive back to WV. I ordered online so we didn't have to wait too long and could get on the road quicker. Our food ordered was done a little later than the estimated time I was given but not too much after. The reason for less stars on service is due to no one greeting me when I came in. I observed the gentleman running the food orders being polite to the customers dining in and those waiting for pick-up/take-out, like myself. They have a variety of flavors to add to their large beverage selection. I ordered an iced latte with lavender and vanilla and it was so good. We also ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit (fire!!!!) and Chicken Apple and Brie Biscuit. Both were so good! I don't think I have heard my husband talk about a chicken biscuit ever as much as he raved about the Nashville biscuit while he ate it. It was so good! Definitely spicy but so good! $20 for a sandwich is a little much but we're used to those prices living in NOVA, so that wasn't much of a turnoff, especially considering how good it was. We are already planning to return on our trip next year.

If not for the locals who keep them from closing in the winter they would be out of business, and it mattered not that the young girl waiting on me, could not hear me, though I repeated my order several times and still received it incorrectly, and it shows my request on the receipt..I cannot have cheese, and there was cheese melted & spread all over on the over $5 dollar bacon, egg with" NO cheese croissant ..it was given to me with cheese so because it would had made me sick for I am a local customer with chronic illness, in & out of the local hospital here in the OBX's who has supported " Dunkin donuts " for year's hoping for better, ended up throwing my food away, I did try to eat just the croissant" not covered in melted cheese but that tasted rubbery, stale and egg ( or is that an egg?? Hmmm???) Couldn't eat the overcooked.. rubbery egg.. the bacon was stringy undercooked, and put all together, not edible.. The donut holes 10 little stale holes which were over $6 dollars which was to expensive for what put together was 1 donut for 5 bucks:the larger donuts were stale,( I've ate 20 day old bread that was fresher..I tried the trick that usually helped: 10 seconds in the microwave and it didn't even help: as soon as it began cooling was like eating a hard ball of unglazed though glazed? Hard dough) it was overcooked dough not made fresh obviously so.. just eat fast before it gets cold if desperate and though having a bad experience the last time, I ordered the potato rounds again they were so greasy I couldn't eat at all.. they were even stuck to the inside of the little bag they arrived in, and after peeling them off tried to sop some grease uck! " and put in the oven, keeping fingers crossed: well no luck today..and if not for grandchildren who ask to stop I wouldnt had stopped.. and after this last visit today, I know I will NOT anymore, sadly the employees are not very friendly or personable even though I tried to speak kind and friendly myself they just appeared confused with anything ordered. And no greeting: or farewell..I know I'll not spend the cost for the such low quality items again.. sorry locals or visitors, but a quick meal isnt always worth the cost if you throw 90% most or all of it out...

Employees taking orders were rushing us through the drive thru "because of the line being long" The only person respectful was the Employee passing the food out, she was extremely friendly! I am an Assistant Manager in the food industry and the way we were handled was not acceptable. It doesn't matter how busy you get you still treat everyone respectfully, especially when they have questions about menu items.
Jade B — Google review
I was screamed at and insulted to the point I just wanted to leave. The staff had screamed at me and my family for inconveniences on their end. My sister had asked a simple question about the 6 dollar meal and the employees started screaming at her for taking to long to order and wouldn't explain anything. I had placed a online order and my app wasn't working. They had screamed at me for placing a order and said it's unacceptable that we took so long because they had a line to the road. It is not on the customers for the staff not knowing how to handle the rush hour. The staff screaming at customers through the drive through speaker isn't how the customers should be greeted. The staff was so incredibly rude that other cars could hear them screaming at us. Me and my family had 4 employees alone screaming at us through the speaker. I understand how rough customer service is and how stressful it is but I have never screamed at a customer for inconveniences that are not the customers fault. I would rate a 0 out of 5 but I have to put one just to write this review. The entire staff was rude and condescending. Next time don't scream at the paying customers for something they can't control and rushing them to finish their order. When customers say give them a minute it doesn't mean scream at them because they are inconveniencing you and your time.

Shoutout to Matthew at Dunkin’ for getting my order just right! Friendly service and attention to detail made my morning. Keep up the great work!
Abdullah C — Google review
Not worth going here unless you perhaps strictly go drive thru. 5 employees only myself inside as a customer and one drive thru person. Was told to use the self service kiosk as they would "take awhile to get our order otherwise." However they could quickly make my drink and forget my food. They eventually asked if everything was okay and i said my food. They got it quickly. Don't kniw why i couldn't be helped at the cash register and it would hve been quicker and easier for me as well. They weren't necessarily helpful or customer service friendly just meh.

Coffee shop
Coffee store
Nestled in the heart of downtown Manteo, Charis Coffee Company is a delightful coffeehouse that embodies grace—its name meaning "grace" in Greek. This charming spot offers an inviting atmosphere where you can savor expertly roasted coffee and espresso sourced from Wilmington, NC. The menu boasts a diverse selection of specialty coffees, teas, and even locally made Ramblin' Root Kombucha. Don't miss out on their unique offerings like the delectable Cruffin available on Happy Cruffin Fridays!
This was our favorite coffee shop in the Outer Banks. We enjoyed delicious beverages while we sat and caught up with extended family. We came back a second day on our trip for drinks while we walked the shops in the area. I particularly love their prayer wall and truly appreciate their faith-based approach to business. I pray that God continues to bless the ownership, staff and all who enter the door to this place.

Great little coffee shop tucked into downtown Manteo, NC. They have limited food options, but what they do have is excellent. Bagels, pastries(on Friday), muffins. Definitely recommend.

I brought my toddler here, not realizing there was not a ramp for his stroller. However, a nice man was leaving as we got to the stairs and asked if he could help me lift the stroller. It was super nice of him. He may have been the owner... He was wearing clothes branded with Charis Coffee Company. The man making drinks was very friendly. The place itself is very peaceful and uplifting. I loved the soft Christian music. And the prayer wall was just so special to see. It was very touching to see so many prayers and answered prayers, and being able to share my own was very comforting in a way. I had a white owl latte which was amazing. I shared a cinnamon roll with my kiddo and that was delicious. So was the carrot coconut muffin I brought back to our Airbnb. Thank you for being open early and during the "off season". It was a blessing to us.

This place is unlike any other coffee place that I’ve been to. I love that fact that they have a prayer wall and that they play worship music. The service was good and so was the coffee!

This is probably my favorite coffee shop on the planet for several reasons! The owner’s story and their mission resonates with me, the location with its charming and relaxing character, the friendly staff every time I have visited, and the coffee of course!! This most recent time I ordered a “fresh” French press and was willing to wait for it, and so glad that I did. It was one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had! Also during my most recent visit, one of the owners (Josh) was there and he took the time to talk with me even though they were fairly busy. If you make coffee at home definitely get a bag of their Hallelujah roast if they have it in stock (it goes quick)!! I stay in OBX (Waves) every year and have drive 40 minutes into Manteo each year specifically to visit Charis. The bonus is walking around the town visiting the other shops.

This sweet little coffee shop hidden in the corner of a strip was much welcomed the day we visited Roanoke Island. A Christian oriented shop with a nice selection is specialty drinks. I got the iced Peppermint Patty and my husband got the iced Native. The coffee was very flavorful and not too sweet or bitter. We also enjoyed reading the prayer requests all over the wall and enjoyed seeing the one that had been answered! Sweet little place!
Kerry S — Google review
There is something very special about this place, a great vibe & atmosphere. I've been to coffee shops all over the world but this one really does stand out. This might be one of the most tidy coffee shops I've ever visited and yet it retains a relaxed feel. The coffee & food is excellent as you would expect and the service is very friendly. I'm actually based in the UK but business brings me to OBX and Manteo multiple times a year. It's an overtly faith-based business so perhaps this is what sets it apart in a world that seems increasingly based on dollar worship. 🤷‍♂️🧐 Either way gotta love their Coffee with a Cause prayer wall. I always put Charis on my must-visit list while on OBX and look forward to my next visit. Thanks to the proprietors for running an outstanding organisation. 👍

Eclectic coffee shop with AMAZING COFFEE and baked goods! Very friendly staff. I stayed in OBX 5 days and came every morning to enjoy the environment and coffee before walking the beach which was 2 minute walk. I love how they sell local artists work!! They sell other cool stuff and coffee too. They have a great sitting areas with instruments to play, games, and coloring tasks!! Very zen chatting areas made the daily walks there something to looks forward to! Many locals hang out here. They also sell beer and wine. You can tell it's a very loved community hang out! One day, a local artist was painting her work. Awesome place!!

Fantastic spot with great vibes and even better coffee! We ordered four drinks—three iced lattes and one drip coffee with sugar-free syrup—and all of them were excellent. I especially loved the Sweet Baby Jesus and the Ol' Helga, which was exceptionally yummy! The staff was super friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, with a fun, beachy vibe and cool decor (loved the skateboards and art!). It’s a great place to relax or grab something delicious on the go. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Love Ashleys’s! Tried it for the first time this past weekend and it’s definitely my favorite coffee spot now in OBX. The line moves very fast. I couldn’t choose between a Red Dawn Cold Brew or a Nitro Cold Brew because I’ve never had either of them and I had asked about which to do. I was greeted with kindness and a smile asking what I’d prefer (something stronger or something like a Guinness beer texture). I decided on the stronger because I love espresso BUT the barista offered me a sample of the nitro cold brew to try as well. I just add a lot of stevia to my drinks because of dietary restrictions but I loved both actually! My friend got the salted caramel mocha and it was a 10/10. The entire shop has local items to buy from jewelry to paintings. They have a lot of baked goods options and unique refrigerated beverages. I even saw an ice cream sandwich mini fridge full from Surfin’ Spoon. Definitely recommend checking this place while you’re in OBX.

A cozy gem with art, heart and flavor! Ashley’s Espresso Parlour is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel welcome. From the warm greeting at the door to the thoughtful details in every cup, you can tell this shop was created with love. The espresso is smooth and rich, never bitter, and their specialty drinks are both creative and comforting—I had a Lebanese Blond latte that was hands down the best I’ve tasted. The atmosphere is relaxed but inviting, with cozy seating that encourages you to slow down and stay awhile. It’s perfect for catching up with a friend, reading a book, or just taking a quiet moment for yourself. But what really sets Ashley’s apart is the genuine kindness of the staff. There’s a sense of community here—like you’re not just a customer, you’re a guest. If you’re looking for quality coffee, a warm environment, and service that feels personal and real, I highly recommend stopping by. Ashley’s is more than a coffee shop—it’s a little sanctuary.Oh and take home custom roasted coffee beans!

Coffee was full of flavor, and the atmosphere was quant. The decor is filled with local artist creations, some of which is for sale! Very unique ambience, perfect for a beach getaway. Finally, the pastries we tried were very good, overall. However, the chocolate mouse muffin was likely the best muffin I’ve ever had!

With friendly staff and quick service, it's an ideal place for both locals and tourists to unwind. Nice, friendly coffee shop with good selection of both coffee and goodies and a very relaxed atmosphere. If I lived in Manteo, this is where I'd get my morning fix. Friendly staff and quick service. Good coffee, too! I think they also do wine and some local crafts, but not sure on the latter.

Located on Duck Road, Outer Bean Cafe Duck is a newly opened cafe that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The cafe offers a variety of delicious coffee options, including dark roast, iced vanilla latte, cherry mocha, and American brew. Customers can also enjoy the beautiful view of the sound while sipping their beverages or indulging in sandwiches and snacks at the clean outdoor seating area.
I bought specially prepared ice cream today, and the sandwiches and coffees are incredibly delicious. I would also definitely recommend you try the other option Acai Bowl too. The owner of Outer Bean cafe Necla is very friendly, positive and very sweet. I love to stop by every time I pass and eat something from here.

This place would be 5 stars if we didnt have such a rude team member taking care of us. None of us could believe how short & rude she was. When ordering it was “what do u want?” And then getting snarky replies back when we would ask a question. We were very disappointed with this. The food itself was amazing & so was the smoothies. We would return, but it hopes with a friendlier team member.
Brianna M — Google review
I was so excited to eat from this cafe based on some of the reviews I’ve seen, but was disappointed. They are not taking orders inside so I waited at the window where it says “order here” for at least 5 minutes. Nobody else was there, no line at all. I started peering through the window, about to just walk away when someone finally came over. The iced mocha “coffee” was literally milk and chocolate sauce. Also…. Sliced grapes on an açaí bowl? Never seen that before. The menu just says “seasonal fruits”. The açaí is blended with almond milk and is basically soup. There are a few picnic tables outside to sit and plenty of parking. Açaí bowl and small coffee was $19. Sad because this would be a great spot for a yummy cafe. They do have some vegan options.
Angela I — Google review
Negative stars would be appropriate for this place. The ice cream was generic food supply house ice cream. The Strawberry was Vanilla blended with strawberries, unfortunately with the greens. The marshmallow "flavor" was just vanilla with some either stale or freeze dried marshmallows on top. The chocolate ice cream was chocolate-ey, and otherwise agreeable. The chairs outside appear to belong to the business next door. You order through a window, and are handed your ice cream through the window. The other items for sale were out in the sun and heat, and many still had the Amazon label still on there. There was no "inside" and it wasn't really a Cafe because there were no tables. 0/10, do not recommend.

This coffee place is super cute and has excellent coffee, smoothies, and food to back it up. We didn’t have to wait for more than 5 minutes to order and they made sure to keep us informed on what was going on. I ordered the iced matcha latte and it was so delicious. I would also like to note that I have a peanut and tree nut allergy and they were able to accommodate me by choosing a milk option that would work for me. Would definitely come again!

Coffee was mid quality. Staff was nice . Milkshake was good. I wish they had the option to respond to responses, but I have to do it this way. There isn't anything that can be done to change the coffee flavor. It is the bean roast used. Just our opinion on the coffee itself. I only drink black so it is an unbiased opinion, not tarnished by sugar or other flavors. And the other drinks were good I am told. I up'd the food to 3.

The atmosphere is described as adorable and fun, with an incredibly patient and helpful staff. The building is easily accessible with a beachy and modern interior.
While vacationing in the outer banks I noticed there was a lot of ice cream places, I’m not a huge ice cream person but I had to stop at one. Noosa scoops was the cutest and THE BEST ice cream hands down. They have a cute little hangout area indoors, also picnic tables outside. Definitely a must try!

Top-notch dessert spot! We stopped into Noosa Scoops one evening for ice cream and loved it so much, we came back the very next day. The ice cream was absolutely delicious—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. I also tried an açaí bowl, and it was perfection! Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. I went with my friend who has fatal allergies. We called ahead as usual to see if they can accommodate, and were so happy that they had a practice in place already and didn’t have to make one up on the spot. They told us that they make to change out gloves and use a fresh scoop, but not only that, they scoop directly from a new tub of ice cream in the back. We’ve had to avoid ice cream places in the past since new gloves and scoops aren’t as safe as we prefer. We went right away and the ice cream was delicious! I got the chocolate chip cookie dough and he got the red believer. My sugar cone cracked when the lady was scooping so she slid a new cone over the cracked one. 100% recommend. Adorable shop, wonderful customer service, and delicious ice cream!
