Great location in the historic city center of Nuremberg. Few min away from the castle. The local sausages are fantastic as well as a decent beer selection. Service can be a little slow at times.

I come here every time I visit Germany! Their bratwurst are so good and the raddlers are refreshing! I love their kartoffelsalat and the staff are always very nice and attentive! The bathrooms are very clean and they bring the food and drinks very quickly. Try the apfel strudel!!

A truly over-rated restaurant, food and service sucks. Guess it’s popular because it’s on the main street. We tried 2 other restaurants that are within 1 minute away and they were so much better! The soup was so salty that we left it after just a spoonful. The bread was so hard. The pork shoulder was ok but not the best around. We did not try the dessert since we didn’t like the food. We went at 6pm and they closed the outside umbrella sitting area, packed everyone at the upper deck. We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Very good traditional Franconian food in a half-timbered house with several floors. Both the Nuremberg sausages and the cheese spaetzle were excellent. The beer served here is from the Augustiner brewery out of Munich.

We had a traditional Franconian lunch in this restaurant, where you can share a table with the other customers in a friendly environment. We suggest the grilled Turkey with mushrooms sauce and rosti, and the goose liver patè. The bill was super honest for what we have eaten.

It was a fine choice directly in the city center, near to the castle. The food was not so especial with limited options. I can recommend the Bärlauchsuppe and the mix starter plate. A huge minus point is Schäufele was not offered to us and other guests during our visit. Although they were still available, the next guests were coming 1 hour after us but could order it.

Despite the satisfying food and the fascinating historical atmosphere, the waitress was completely unfriendly. She did not like first amount of which we had ordered, and she asked several times: "Is that all?" (This did not mean: "Is that all, What did you order?"). The food was again served in a rude manner. When it was time to pay, she pulled out the credit card reader. She covered the card touching area with the paper in her hand and showed the screen which showing the waitress tips menu “a kind of forced “ us for a tip, by pointing to the area on the device. I can say, that there are dozens of similar complaints about her on Asian social media accounts. I believe, such a historic place could be better off with much more professional and customer-oriented waiters. Waiters means not only, To take orders and bring food to the table; it is also about, To give the customer the feeling, welcome to be here. Even in a hospital doctor try to calm the patients and give them a sense of good vibe . But to be treated like that by a waiter in a restaurant . It was absolutely unpleasant. Even me, who usually doesn't comment any bad things and try share positive things always , I feel this time to let the know people what can be waiting for them with her , and there is absolutely no misunderstanding or anything like that. It is completely rude and intended waiters behavior.

We arrived in Germany after an exhausting train ride from France and were very excited to have some authentic German food, and we were not disappointed! We walked in and were seated upstairs either a view of below and immediately, a very friendly gentleman offered to assist us in ordering what was good on the menu. He was so charismatic and helpful, catered several different dishes and we throughly enjoyed every single dish. From the yummy potato soup, refreshing salad, cheese dip with bread, a main dish of large and small brats and pork tenderloin with herb butter, it was all so delicious. We raved over the potato salad as well and are already trying g to figure out how to recreate the dish for our family back in the US. We indulged in the apple strudel and the plum parfait and found those delightful. We can’t say enough about the food served and the service. We have to leave tomorrow for our next stop in Europe and are excited to go to our last dinner in Germany again at this lovely establishment. Will recommend to anyone 100%.

Tourist review: Historic venue to eat Nuremberg bratwurst - Zum Gulden Stern serves delicious bratwurst and beer! Came here and got the mixed platter from the grill with the large & small bratwursts, pork medallions and a side of sauerkraut. All the food was absolutely delicious - the small bratwursts were super tasty especially and the sauerkraut was the best I’ve ever had! The dark draconian beer was also one of the best beers I’ve had in Germany - highly recommend. The restaurant itself is also very honestly and cosy, although the portions of food are a little on the smaller side. Would definitely come back!

Visited an hour before close and loved the cozy, almost family-table atmosphere. While the food and beer were generally good rather than memorable, the salted pork knuckle with sauerkraut stood out (honestly among the best sauerkraut I've ever had as a tourist). Service was friendly.

This place is an experience, from the old style to the amazing sausages and beer. The day I went there was a news crew interviewing people for an article on what I assume to be some sausage boxing match. But even still the food came out timely and tasted amazing.

A very traditional restaurant with an amazing feeling from the moment you walk in. The girl who took us to our table was very polite and helpful. Everything we ordered was tasty and well cooked but the portions are kind of small compared to the prices and also to the other places we ate those days.

Must visit in Nuremberg! Nuremberger sausages with horseradish, sauerkraut and potato salad. I also had the special Winemakers soup with grapes and cream. Very tasty. Ended with apple fritters and vanilla ice cream

The food and service was spot on. Open late when a lot of other restaurants close or close early on a Sunday. I had Semmelknödel and it came with a big salad. Ideal for an autumn night after a long day working. The bier I had was a very refreshing Pilsner. The gentleman who served me was friendly, quick and put up with my basic German practice 👍🏼🙂

Large restaurant in the heart of the tourist frequent square of the town. The restaurant can accommodate large crowds inside and outside when good weather allows. The menu is simple. It serves the staple of the area, i.e. lots of Nuremberg sausages, potatoes and sauerkraut in line of fast food offerings. Service is typical "german", quick and rigid. They like to take order by group. Treated us like kindergarten kids, "you can order drinks now, and we will tell you when you can order foods". We ordered drinks then waited and then food when the whole area was ready. We were glad to have a place to eat and the use of the washrooms. This is more or less a tourist trap. We doubt very much if the locals would eat here.

Offers a wide selection of traditional Franconian food and is very atmospheric inside, so is great for tourists visiting. However, the service was extremely slow. We were seated for over 30 minutes and still not served and wasn’t too busy. I went up to ask at the front and was told to just wait for the waiter, so eventually had to wave to a waitress to try and grab her attention. Food came quickly enough after we ordered but then again took a long time before we were asked about paying. Just a little more attentiveness or proactivity from the waiters would make a big difference

It was fine, I've just had much better food in the area. And maybe this is typical restaurant style for the area but it's just a bit loud and busy for me. Also servers will ignore you even if you clearly need something. Also kind of pricey for a casual lunch.

A typical Bavarian restaurant, the Christmas decorations really added to the atmosphere. The food is good, but the portions are very small for the price. The apple strudel, on the other hand, was horrible: it tasted like a frozen one, was half-baked and chewy. The service is fast but not very polite. Overall, not a very good experience.

Really liked the atmosphere, warm and inviting. The food was pretty good, not great. I had the Krustenschaufele (roasted pork shoulder) which was very tender and delicious. 5 stars. My wife meal was just ok. The Vanilla ice cream with Warm cherry sauce was very nice. What really stood out was our waiter Gregor. Unlike most service in Germany, he was very attentive, explained the menu and meals to us, and stopped to chat after the meal asking about our trip. That earned Gregor and American sized tip.

Service and ambiance was great! We were a bit disappointed with both the food and beer but that might be subjective. We had no redervation and were seated spontaneously and quickly. While eating we were left undisturbed to enjoy our meal - which was a nice surprise for introverts who dispise the constant check-ins mid-bite 😝 Steak seemed off unfortunately.. maybe an unlucky piece, was very fatty and oily but not in a juicy/full way. Staff was very friendly, no complaints. The price was adequate given the location. Tasty salad with herbs, salt and vinegar! Potato salad was nice too.

Very atmospheric traditional Bavarian restaurant with great views. As non-meat eaters we can find Germany a culinary challenge but the cheese paste starter, pike perch and carp were all flavoursome and very filling. Great value.

We came with a group. We loved the environment and vibe, a classic place for family or formal activities. The food was fine. We had fried pork chop and steak, the pork tasted good with crispy outside, the steak was on the dry side. I'm not sure this is typical Bavarian cooking.

It’s true German food place with nice vibes and great atmosphere. Wine is by glass simple one, nothing fancy, fish and meat for main, some salads and seasonal dishes. Quite busy and better reserve a table. Good for a group gatherings

We were back after 6 years. This was always my husband's favorite restaurant and he had the Schaufele, which was very good, I had venison gulasch that was also very good. With that I had the house frankish red wine which I took a sip and had to spit it out as it had turned into something worse than vinegar. I told the waiter about it and he tried to convince me that this was just how frankish wine tasted. Now, I happen to know frankish wine, and I know that it can be on the very dry side but this was just bad wine. After some more arguing he offered to bring me another wine, which turned out to be exactly the same at a cost of $9 it was undrinkable. This waiter had no business working in this kind of a restaurant as untrained and unprofessional as he was!

A great spot to enjoy authentic German beer! I skipped the meal hours and just enjoyed a quiet moment with beer. I’m not exactly a beer expert, but tasting different kinds and noticing their subtle differences made me realize—this is what really good beer tastes like. Just stopped by for a beer during a day out. The place was busy with lots of tables reserved but the helpful staff said we could sit at one for our drinks as we explained that we would only be 30 minutes as our bus was leaving shortly. We wanted to try the local beer and it didn't disappoint. If we are in the area again we will definitely go back to eat and have some more of the excellent beer.

A great and well located brewery in the heart of Nuremberg. A bit stuffy for an interior, and the service staff didn’t seem to like Americans very much. But the beer did most of the talking, great tasting beer paired with some hearty goulash soup. Spaetzle was incredibly tasty and cooked perfectly, great with a bite of the beef! A good place to stop in for a quick bite, but the bar packs up very quickly.

Great service, friendly staff. Had the Nuremberg sausages to start then the Schnitzel and Pork Medallians. Everything was great, super generous portions. The Pork Medallians' sauce was so black-peppery! It was intense, but I love black pepper so it was amazing. The beer is great too. Just 5 stars all around!

Lovely old pub restaurant. Had Käsespätzle my favourite. Rotbier is also definitely great! Friendly staff, quick and not too expensive.

This is a very good choice to eat and to drink local beer and local black cola. And the menu is very very tasty. And the atmosphere is fantastic, everywhere the people are celebrating life, and their liberty. Nürmberg is a wonderful place to be happy, regardless of religion, nationality or colour.

Absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere and service! I celebrated my birthday there and the waiters were so kind to congratulate me, bring a vase for my flowers, give us free shots and even gave me a little gift when I was leaving. Would hugely recommend, especially for special occasions, the atmosphere is magical. Will definitely be going back!

I have to admit that on the evening we visited, the service left much to be desired. The waiters—all men—seemed rushed and not particularly friendly. Our request to take the leftovers wasn’t well received, and declining the ouzo was met with confusion. Overall, we didn’t feel truly welcome. That said, the food was very tasty, reasonably priced, and the ambiance was beautiful—you walk downstairs into a charming, inviting space. Unfortunately, despite the lovely setting, we’re unlikely to return.

Received with a friendly handshake, excellent selection of Greek dishes with some nice changes (rare tuna was fantastic) and a relaxed atmosphere. Mondays are very quiet normally in Germany but it was fairly busy which is another recommendation

The restaurant is located in a realy beautiful location although inside the restaurant there is nothing really special, more for people that prefer simplicity. The stuff are friendly and nice but it takes quite some time for them to deliver as there is just not enough stuff. The food was good but not amazing. Overall experience was pleasant.

We just stopped for a beer. Friendly, attentive, fast service. Excellent view of the castle, the main square and the many tourists. Of course, there is also the Dürer House.

We came just after 20:00 on a saturday, in the hope some people would be done with dinner. Lucky enough a table had just come free. But very popular and busy place for sure. Service was decent. Drinks were good. Food was okay. I've been here 6 years earlier , but I remember a way better Schnitzel and kartoffelsalat. This was a bit mediocre for German standards in my opinion. Bit dry Schnitzel, kartoffelsalat lacked taste. Definitely not bad though.

The place was very welcoming, with a traditional taste to it. The food was filling and great, with district taste. I took the sausages (typical of Nuremberg) with the potatoes (nice!!) and Käsespätzle (egg and cheese), which was quite satisfying. One of the owners was also particularly kind and gentle, and he gifted us a Christmas tiramisu, made with cinnamon cookies - which was also great. Overall great experience, would recommend!

This restaurant has stolen my heart. It has a really pleasant view and a cozy atmosphere. The dishes were a little smaller than I expected, but they were served quickly and nicely prepared. The Brezel pizza is a must-try — I haven’t seen it anywhere else until today.

A very good restaurant in the centre of Nuremberg. I liked that it was quiet but I think it can get very busy. I felt cosy there, a really good place to get your buddies out for a drink or for food. We got the Nuremberg sausages with potato salad, and also a portion of Cheese Spätzle. Very good. Just a bit salt for my buds, as I don't add it anymore to food, but I would say a well balanced value price. And the staff was very friendly. Thank you!

Traditional German Restaurant in Nuremberg This charming restaurant is perfectly located next to the famous Nuremberg Castle, adding to its enchanting atmosphere. I tried the local dish Schäufele, a special pork cut cooked for three hours, tender like butter, and paired it with a slightly smoky dark beer. It’s easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Germany. The service was outstanding—friendly and attentive from start to finish. They even offered a beer tasting to help me choose the right one. The architecture is also worth noting, reflecting the traditional Nuremberg style, and there’s a terrace with a view of the castle and city. Though it was too windy and cold to sit outside, the indoor setting was cozy and inviting. Prices are fair, and the location is ideal if you’re visiting the castle and surrounding area. I would return to Nuremberg just to dine here again. 5/5!

Stopped in for a quick drink and meal and went with the beef goulash, spatzle and hefeweizen. The food was delicious as was the beer, also was nosy and looking at other dishes and they looked great. I dont see how you could get a bad meal here.

This is noted as one of the top rated sushi places in Nuremberg. I felt the service was rather authentic and was excellent. The atmosphere is hip fun and loud but not bad at all. Kind of a perfect loud that brings good energy. Hidden away gives you the feel you found a secret spot. They had a hot wine for us as we had to wait outside for our table for 5 or so minutes. It was so cold but the hot wine helped. No big deal. The food was the area of most important and it was overall very good. . I felt sushi Glas ( which I understand is now closed) was better with a larger variety of food options and it was my personal favorite. Some great appetizer dishes and solid sushi make this a place I would go to for sure.

Kokoro is truly the best sushi restaurant in Nürnberg! 🍣 The sushi is incredibly delicious and beautifully presented — every piece looks like a work of art. I usually go there at lunch, the sushi are good quality, top! I love their Bangkok Baby. We got teas, and its surprisingly good! The staffs are good and friendly, they're asking us politely to took our jackets and theyre puting them in the wardrobe, its so mannered! Its kind of rare situation in an asian restaurant

♥ KOKORO ♥ – Japanese restaurant. A real hidden gem! I highly recommend visiting if you’re on a trip to Nürnberg. I often come here for lunch, they serve rice, soup, and torikatsu (fried chicken). I’d also suggest trying a glass of wine with Sake Lachs or a beer with Yaki Udon. Of course Sushi are the best, but I just personally ate too much of them. The staff never disappoints, they are friendly and always ask if you need anything more, which I'm really missing in other restaurants sometimes. It's just a 2 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof and located next to the city museum. The background music is calm, and there’s also a terrace where you can enjoy the sun in summer. Just one tip: check their opening hours before you go, they’re closed between 14:30 - 17:00, and evenings have a lot of people, so it’s best to call ahead for a reservation.

Perfection! Goes right on my short list of best fine food restaurants across the world (and I’ve had a fair share of). Food was incredible. Staff was very friendly and accommodating — I especially appreciated the flexibility to get a Riesling even though it was not part of the list of open wine glasses. I’d return any time, and I don’t say that about many places.

Two stars 🌟 experience and it delivered! Amazing dishes by the cuisine team - followed by excellent and friendly service! Not too intense which can be sometimes overwhelming in a multiple star restaurant! The flavors and combinations of the amuse bouches and dishes were outstandingly in sync. One of the best lamb dishes that I have ever had. The presentation was also creative and pleasant to the eye. Would definitely recommend to try out if you want/can splash some serious money to enjoy an three to four hour culinary ride!

We went to Essigbrätlein for our 3rd year anniversary celebration and it was just perfect! Before Essigbrätlein we’ve already tried ‘fine dining’ restaurants but it was our first 2 Michelin Star experience and we were really curious about our reservation. From the moment we entered the door to our departure, everything and everyone was very attentive. From the food to the wine menu, it was obvious that a lot of effort was given. The team was very interested, well-informed about the food they served, and very kind. The unique smell and taste of vegetables being served with such an elegant presentation and the tastes of meat/fish dishes created a different excitement for us to wait for each plate. In comparison to the many Michelin starred restaurants I’ve been to all over the world, I would rank this one on the bottom. It’s bewildering to me how this can be a Michelin 2 stars. The menu was mainly vegetables, with the exception of 2 dishes, one being char and the other being lamb. The design and preparation of the vegetable dishes were unimpressive and yes, above average, but not spectacular. The char was ok, not particularly special. The lamb though soft to the touch and medium rare, was tough to chew and even hard to cut. The best dishes were the desert, parsley ice cream, and the complimentary chocolates. So bottom line and $222 later, I wish I went somewhere else. It would have been better money spent and probably better food, just less the stars. I will give props to the servers, they were attentive and friendly.

Visited on a busy day, around midday, had to hunt for a table (finally sharing one with an Italian family) ... but I cannot fault the service quality and speed. Okay, the latter might have been helped by us ordering standard fare (the Fränkische Bratwurst is recommended), more exotic dishes seemed to take a bit longer. Very tasty meal, mid-sized portion (just right, as Goldilocks might say), and priced in the medium range.

With their bad service, they loose the customers. We were treated like “ just finish your food in a hour and leave “ Our starters and main dish was all brought at once and said “ aha sorry” That’s all! A drink, starter and maid dish had to finish within a hour! Although whole restaurant in first floor was empty, they were super bad in service! May be they think “ aha they are just a tourists, don’t come back again” Yes, if you have such bad service, no one will come again.

Authentic traditional German food. We had the Salad with Schnitzel, Sausage plate, watermelon salad and kids schnitzel, everything was so delicious!! Salads were very fresh.

Had a nice time here catching up with friends. More of quiet part of Nuremberg city Center but it was still popular at meal times. There was only outdoor seating left for us during dinner time in winter but it’s fine as the good company of good friends made it warm enough. There’s many popular german dishes. Must try of course the Nuremberg sausages. They have one option for many styles of these sausages- grilled, boiled etc, good way to try. Of course wash everything down with delectable German beer. My fave is Weiss bier. A bit more pricey for touristy area as compared to maybe like your neighborhood pub but it’s not overly priced.

Enjoy a cold beer and some traditional Frankonian dishes in the shadow of the medieval fortress of Nürenberg. If you have a sweet tooth give the Kaiserschmarrn a taste. It is said that the holy Roman emperor (Kaiser) enjoyed it vastly as well.

I was a bit disappointed with the restaurant. Wanted to go there quite some time but it was difficult to find a table. The location is nothing special, we were sitting at a table with view to the gas station opposite. The place it self has a nice decoration, it could be a great bar restaurant only the music could hardly be heard! Why should I listen to what the people at the next table say and not to nice music, I really don't get it. The bar looked very nice but it was full with glasses, so nobody could use it to sit there before or after dinner. The dishes were nothing special, we ate nothing that worths to be remembered. The personnel was friendly and helpful. Glutenfree options were available. Would not visit it again unless a few things get improved.

Friends had booked the place for their wedding dinner and what the team from restaurant ZweiSinn created was, simply put, fantastic. The food they served was of highest quality, the taste was awesome and the way i the dishes were presented was excellent. See for yourself in the pictures. I had not expected such great experience. Expect to see me again next time I come to Nuremberg. I can’t judge the staff’s matter of the English language but I’ll get you’ll figure out ;-) Enjoy a wonderful dinner at ZweiSinn.

The food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. My favourites were the Beef Tartare and the Sepia Spaghettini.

My family attended a workshop with Heidi and Steffi and this was absolutely wonderful. They were so helpful, informative and we loved the atmosphere in the bakery. We bought quite a bit of lebkuchen here and also had coffee. One of the highlights of our roadtrip through Southern Germany! Highly recommended!

Accidentally stumbled across this spot when trying to find a reprieve from the cold and rainy market Nextdoor. Incredible service, hot and fresh gingerbread! Lots of options to sample and taste the different options. I got a coffee (filter) and it was served with delicious and fresh sugar/ginger cookies on top! Will definitely come back here for a cup of coffee and a sweet treat!

Excellent authentic Elisen lebkuchen. I grew up with this delicacy as my aunt from Germany would homebake some or get them as gifts. Finally coming to Nurnberg for the first time, having this fresh was just extraordinary! Highly recommend the Noir or dark chocolate one! Very nutty, moist and soft centre. 5 🌟!!

Beautiful experience there Employees are nice The shop is well stocked with biscuits every where from the famous lebkuchen to other original biscuits . The lebkuchen are made on - site and are of different Flavours : classic ,chocolate .... You even can enjoy a lebkuchen chocolate drink !!! They are a little bit more extensive but they are located on the main place and the biscuits are big :))))

Lebkuchen (gingerbread) stores and cafes are a MUST in Nürnberg. I really like this one specially. Besides a a big variety of gingerbread options all year long, you can get a nice cup of coffee or a nice chai latte. They have as well sometimes cake or strudel in case you don’t feel like gingerbread day. The place has a nice space inside with a traditional oven and beautiful atmosphere and if the weather is nice you can sit outside and have a nice view of one of the town squares and view to the castle.

Here you have all varieties of gingerbread you can imagine, but also many other traditional sweets & also the authentic warm red wine that is served in cold winter months. Everything right across the Nuermebug Christkindlesmarket that is one of the oldest Christmas markets. Gingerbread is also made fresh just in front of you.

Nice place with good italy food and real Italians there. The prices foe city center are ok. Might be very crowded also choose carefully your table if you like to eat in peace.

Coming for a second time - the place is very nice, better make a reservation a week in advance otherwise you might not get a table in the evening. This time we tried pizza - was ok, but we would rather recommend the pasta there. Starters and desserts were delicious and service was great.

Service was a bit slow, probably cause they had quite a full house. The pasta was a little bit bland for my taste, otherwise it's good.

Really nice authentic Italian family run restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to go because it’s away full. The owners are very friendly and staff are nice too. We all ordered from the specials menu but they also have pizzas for a very reasonable price. The quality vs price is very fair (if not even a bargain for Nuremberg). All the food was very good and overall experience was great. Highly recommend coming here if you feel like Italian food but be sure to make a reservation in advance.

Gluten-free pizza was excellent. Regular pizza also very good. We had no reservation but they fit us in for long enough to enjoy a delicious meal.

Legit restaurant with solid food and specials galore. Service (5 stars un and of itself) is outstanding (attentive servers dressed well...even wiping off the condensation on the table from our cold drinks). Atmosphere is cozy close, prices are reasonable (accepts card). I am sorry I was too full for dessert. This is a great place for a proper meal either before/after flying in/out. Our highlight was the pizza of all things.

Good and authentic Franconian restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was great, the level of English of the staff was good enough. As most pubs in the area.theu offer their own brewery brand of beer on tap. Always coming in 3 types: red, light and dark beer. The red and the dark beer tasted great and I highly recommend those.

Nice, traditional franconian tavern. The inside is made of wood, giving a medieval atmosphere. The food was tasty and the staff friendly. I recommend the nuremberg sausages over the franconian ones (even though smaller, they were tastier in my opinion)

Traditional cuisine can be found in this restaurant near the castle. The ambience is very cosy and it did not feel touristy. I ordered the pork shoulder, which was cooked perfectly, although in my opinion the meat below the crusty fat was a bit bland.The potato dumplings and the meat juice were very good. Friendly service.

I ordered the fish dish and the portion was too large for me. The fish itself was delicious, very soft and fresh. The vegetables were drenched in oil and not pleasurable. The place is quite popular with the locals to try the typical Schäufele, would recommend to try.

It is Asparagus season now in Germany. We want to eat these fresh big and white ones we saw in the Markt. We asked around which restaurant serves them and we were recommended to this place. It was sooo good and I can have it everyday during our stay. I think this is only available in Germany. This restaurant have many other good authentic German food in their menu and will come back to them

No table reservation here. Come and find a member of staff and they will get you seated. We had such a good meal that we came back the next evening. Great Sauerbraten and Fränkisches Schäufle. A piece of roasted pork with crackling. Second night we had the sausages and the Schnitzel also delicious 😋. A good selection of local beer specialities and good wines. Definitely a must in the castle area of Nürnberg.

Had the Sans Sache menu for dinner. The soup was very good but unfortunately the sausages did not have too much flavour compared to other restaurants in Nuremberg. One of the grilled sausages was even almost burnt as you can see on the pictures. The apfelstrudel was only correct, probably because it was not homemade. The best thing about the restaurant was the kind waitress that attended me.

We tried the sausage platter, which is perfect for tourists. You get to sample different styles of Nuremberg sausages. I personally liked the ones cooked with vinegar the most — they were refreshing and light. The 12 sausages were just the right amount for two people. The potato salad was incredibly tasty too!

I had a fantastic experience here my first night in Nuremberg with my friends. Despite my very broken German and my friends not knowing any German, it was still really easy to get seated and order what we liked. The staff were very friendly and personable, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere really brought this to the next level. If you're in Nuremberg and you want an authentic German meal in a cute environment, here's an excellent choice.

Loved the location, the food, the atmosphere and staff. All were very nice! We needed a place that could accommodate a large party last minute and they took great care of us! Visited in the Fall on a work trip but planning to take the family when we visit during the Winter to see the Christmas Market.

This one is truly a hidden gem. The interior is really unique. Could be a museum by itself. The dishes were all delicious - and there are several vegetarian & vegan options. The prices are very moderate. Also the wines are great - we tried several. And we had some obstler schnaps after the food. Food and wine arrived swiftly, and tasted delicious. Staff was very friendly, and checked if we need anything regularly. And we had no issues at all speaking English. It was good, we made a reservation, as the tables were all used. Additionally, it is quite narrow inside, particularly in the connections between the roams, so leave your rucksacks and bags in the hotel.

One of our favorite things about Bavaria is the roasted pork with crackling(crispy skin). We usually order schweinshaxe or krustenbraten but on our stop here we tried the schäufele. Its a chunk or pork shoulder roasted with the skin on. It was AMAZING. Its very rare to get the meat very tender, and the skin crispy while still light and easy to chew. Usually its one of the other at best. This was exceptionally good. The crackling often becomes a bit tough or hard to cut into but this was so light, almost flaky. Ridiculously good. We had it near the start of our trip and we're still talking about it 12 meals later in Munich. We also shared a plate of obatzda cheese spread and I had a cup of fränkische Kartoffelsuppe. A potato soup with pieces of Nuremberger sausage in it. A soup like your Bavarian grandmother would make for sure. As far as the restaurant goes, I would say that the interior is a bit small but the outside is fine with a decent view if weather is good. Far more outdoor seating I think. The interior is actually very cute inside with a ton of rustic decor.

Very nice rustic restuarant with good food. We had asparagus soup which is in season and it's great. One of the meat dish with fried egg is the tastiest among the dishes. Highly recommended.

I can recommend all the dishes showed in the photos to share within the group (Frankonian mixplate, Käsespätzl, Schnitzel). The price was fair and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Split the invoice was no problem. Top service.

We tried to reserve for 2 but were told to just walk. They were able to seat us between reservations but the meal felt rushed as a result. The food was tasty and portions generous.

Offered a table for a beer, then refused service because I did not order food. I got up to leave, saying I would write a 1* review. The waiter then did offer me a beer on the house, which I accepted but paid for. I complained to the elderly owner and his wife. The outside seating area was only a 3rd full. The owner was exceptionally rude to me. Out of respect for his age I did not argue, but I was astounded at his extremely unfriendly and disrespectful attitude. AVOID!

We sat down at a table that was clearly just vacated because it had dirty plates. Just wanted a cold beer. This old man moved in and told us we must move to a table in the Sun. It wasn't reserved but he was insistent. I think the man was the owner. Poor customer service. Do not go to this rude mans place. He is just a lousy example of customer service. He is just rude. Edited - I've read a few other reviews and it seems the old bloke really is a problem. Stay away.

This Restaurant has one of the worst service in Nuremberg, the waiter put his own service charge on the payment machine, the other thing, the picture on the menu is not what you get, Void this Restaurant like the plague.

The location of this restaurant is good, in the Old Town close to the church. We sat outside as the weather was nice , sunny and warm but I saw on the way to the restroom that inside is nicely decorated. The waiter was nice but I think that the price for the Nürnberger Würstchen with just some slices of bread for 12.50 euros is really high. I did regret it to eat there because just on the other side of the church there’s another restaurant which seems also nice and not that expensive . The homemade lemonade was also much too sour.

The vegan wrap was delicious 😋. Service was good and efficient. A bit pricey, but it is the big city. We wanted to eat outside but we're infested with bees. There were even dead bees 🐝 on the table and benches.

Nice burgers for the value you pay. Food was delivered quite fast and was delicious. There is plenty of choice for vegetarian options (burgers). Note: you can also "tune" your burgers or in other words add extra ingredients to your burger of choice. We also recommend the lemonade they make.

I had high hopes for this restaurant. We arrived and the place was 75% empty with three staff members working the room. We were seated at 1100. We watched two servers talk and clear a large table in record “slow time”. At 11:20 our drinks and food were ordered. At 12:05 our food was delivered. My water glass had a dangerous sharp chip in the rim. The staff is young and inattentive. Sadly I can’t recommend this restaurant.

It's near nuremberg main station walkable distance. In the evening it will be very busy but you will still find a place to sit. The food is good, I ordered chicken lollypop, but the taste was not good. We ordered vegetarian thali, and the taste was good. Overall, good food, if someone says indian style, they need to make sure that they do not add more chili, but it was be tasty.

I ordered Kadhai Chicken here, but it was a very disappointing experience. Before placing my order, I specifically asked the waiter to recommend a proper Indian-style curry, not a European adaptation. He suggested the Kadhai Chicken, and I also reminded him not to add too much cream, since I know many Indian restaurants in Europe tend to do that. Unfortunately, what I received was full of cream and looked more like a butter chicken than a Kadhai Chicken. It seems they don’t really know what authentic Kadhai Chicken is. I can understand adjusting spice levels for European tastes, but changing the entire flavour and cooking style is not authentic Indian food. As someone from India, I was genuinely hoping for a proper, traditional curry. In the UK, Indian restaurants manage to serve food close to the real thing sometimes even better so it’s definitely possible. My point is simple: if the dish is heavily adapted, it should be called “European style Kadhai Chicken,” not presented as authentic Indian food. Roti, naan, paratha, and dal tasted fine, but the curries were disappointing. It feels like customers here are not experiencing real Indian food, which is a shame. Very very disappointed with food. I really didn't expected like that at all .

This restaurant takes Indian cuisine to the highest level with outstanding authentic flavours, beautifully prepared and presented with very professional service. It was a real surprise to find such a high quality Indian 🇮🇳 restaurant in Nuremberg and for the price it was outstanding. The portion sizes are huge, take care not to over order! We needed a “doggy bag” 😂

The place is centrally located and just a few steps away from the central station. The place provides both outdoor and indoor seating. The food is exceptionally good. It reminds me of India every now and then. They also give vinegar soaked button onions and green chili salad on request how it is generally served in India but no Indian restaurant in Germany has served it to me before. The staff is very professional and also greet you warmly.

After long time I enjoyed indian restaurant food in Sangam. Highly recommend restaurant for Indian authentic food. Service was also good and friendly atmosphere. Quantity of food is good as per cost and we were enjoying music of latest Hindi songs while eating Overall it is a good place for real Indian traditional food

I had lunch here with a big group of friends. Beef was not bad but completely unseasoned. Sausage was probably the best of the meat dishes, but also nothing special. Pizza was mediocre and pasta tasted a bit stale. The waiter seemed uncomfortable and looked like he was just waiting for us to leave. The interior of the restaurant is nice and so is the location, but the food and service did not impress. ——- To respond to the owner saying I wasn’t at Provenza: I posted the photos unedited and not cropped. Hopefully you can recognize the tables and other plates, they are identical to those in other reviews. I also happen to have a receipt, but I don’t post such personal things on Google maps. I have absolutely no interest in lying about dining at your restaurant, it just wasn’t a very good experience. If I were you, I’d take my rating as constructive criticism to help improve your food quality and service. Best wishes.

A lovely restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and stylish decor. The food was absolutely delicious – the pizza and pasta tasted authentically Italian! The only downside was that it took about 90 minutes for our order to arrive, which felt quite long. Hopefully, service speed can be improved in the future, because the quality of the food is truly worth it.

The place is right in the centre of Altstadt. And the view is amazing! So just go for that. Otherwise the food was really mediocre. The pizza was very toasted and chewy. My hand hurts, jaw hurts and I lost my appetite just trying to cut it. The pizza lacked flavor, we could barely taste anything. The drinks were okay, nothing special. The service - some of the waiters were nice.

Me and my father had visited this place. The places' location was good. I ordered a gelato and my father ordered a pizza. The bottom side of pizza's were burnt but in overall, both of them were good enough. What bothered me was that none other than the waiter's behaviours and the talking style to us.oone of the waiters was acting so cocky, and didn't seem to be kind at all, i don't know if he had a beef with us.. But besides the manners of the waiters, the location is awesome. It's inside was decorated so well. Hopefully, the waiters won't be acting this rude to the upcoming guests.

I was in a restaurant with a friend. we ate tomato soup and a set of cheese for an appetizer. Tagiatella and grilled salmon for the main course. The dishes are really very tasty. The staff is friendly and smiling and the view from the terrace is very pleasant.

If stay there and the so called service offer u to get one spoon of horseradish as a side order on top u will find out, that this will charge u almost 3 Euros or 50%of ur beer. Don't tip them until they get honest prices !! In Germany service is already payed and included in the bill!

Perfect from start to finish. Every dish was full of flavour, cooked amazingly and well presented. Even the bread was delicious. The wine was also perfectly paired. Our main server Elke was fantastic, explaining every dish and wine in detail and was super attentive and friendly throughout. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed, minimal and chic which added to the overall experience. Definitely recommend.

Imperial stands out as an oasis in the culinary desert that is Nuremberg. After a week of avoiding pretzels, schnitzel, bland Indian food, something called tapas, and Italian out of the box food, Imperial was a cascade of fresh and invigorating sensory delight. I selected the five course meal which paired perfectly with a Riesling, Ruinart champagne, and an Austrian blend. I will be back, just not soon enough.

Great atmosphere and welcoming and personal service. The quality of the meat outstanding. Some interesting flavor combinations. A bit too much from the mayonnaise option in my opinion. Yeah it is well over my usual budget for my restaurant treat but for a special occasion we left with a very good impression.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Nürnberg. The first impression was a personal greeting from the owner of the restaurant the famous in Germany a celebrity chef Alexander Herrmann. Excellent interior design. Open kitchen. Very professional and friendly staff. Great service. Cozy and romantic atmosphere. The food was delicious. Big choice of wines, spirits and soft drinks.My recommendation is to try the "Glamour Mood" menu option. Absolutely unforgettable experience. Spent a great time in this restaurant. Highly recommended to visit.

Definitely worth a visit but book beforehand as it's always full. Food is delicious and service was fast and friendly 😄 lovely beer garden with umbrellas outside, however, everyone can smoke anywhere outside which we found very unpleasant as we are non smokers.

Beer is awesome and the food is DELICIOUS and you get a very decent serving of it! You have to try the schnitzel with mushroom sauce and the potato dumplings as a side.

Fantastic food, beer, service, and atmosphere. Would recommend reserving a table rather than walking in, however, they will more than likely try to accommodate you. Had a 1L beer and a life changing mushroom-smothered fried schnitzel, all for less than €20 to include a tip.

I tried the day menu which was minced meat inside cabbage leaves in a diced bacon-onion sauce (which to me was salty) and a small dessert ( not too sweet). The environment is nice and the staff was welcoming and attentive. In warmer weather outdoor seating area would be a nice option as it’s located in a wide, beautiful street.

What a cracking place. First real sunshine we've had for a while helped, but lovely outside dining with relaxed surroundings. Extensive menu with good choice of drinks. Nice environment and very relaxing morning Cheese & Big breakfast we choose. They carry 6 different cheese and all good. Fresh fruit in yogurt which is lovely❤️ Coffee is Wonderful as it wakes me up. Staffs have smile always! Recommend although price is a bit high.

Neat place. Nothing extra special about it but I have an affinity for being surrounded by books so for me this was a bonus. Spacious downstairs with an upstairs for private functions / banquets. The coffee is good and the cakes a fresh made but what is special for me are 3 things: 1 - they are placed in downtown but in a really quiet area, so is nice to relax, have a nice break with a book, nice talk with friends with food, etc. 2 - the service is beyond nice and fast. They know their regulars and create a nice bond with them. 3 - they almost always have a gluten-free cake separate from their non gluten-free cakes! This is a very special detail. If you or someone you know is gluten free, I recommend you o go there for a coffee and cake. They have books you can borrow and they sell as well some food prepared in the restaurant like gulasch or curry lentils.

in my opinion this place is great for having a coffee, a tea and some cake. maybe even for breakfasts or brunch. however i would definitely not recommend it to go have lunch or dinner. it's not that the food itself it's bad, but i mean it reminds me of the food they serve in the cantine at work, it's good? yes. is it where i want to go have lunch on a sunday? probably not ... they have some vegetarian options which is much apreciated but in my opinion it leaves much to be desired, the prices are quite too high and really there are way better restaurants in nürnberg...

Nice place to have something to eat after a visit to the castle. I’ve read that it is quite touristy, but it isn’t reflected in the prices and there were plenty of locals dining/drinking here. The food was good, beer as well. Service was a bit slow at first, but once we got the menus everything was fine.

Came here for a quick drink and snack after visiting the Kaiserburg. Friendly service, cosy restaurant in witch house theme. Big beer garten. But was closed since it was winter. I bet it's nice in summer!

DRINK: I took homemade lemonade and personally, I would give that drink a 2 star only. I didn’t like it. It felt only very little lemon has been squeezed into a lot of water. So, it tasted very bland and weird. MAIN COURSE: I ordered a classic dish from them: knuspriges schäufele mit dinkelbiersoße. It was VERY delicious. The knodel was also so good. The meat was soooo well cooked, it was crispy and yet soft on the inside. Oh 😍. I would highly recommend it. The sauce was complimenting the meat really well and so was the sauerkraut. The knodel was soft and spongy. I really enjoyed the food! 🤤 DESSERT: I ordered Apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce and it was also very tasty. Not too sweet - just as I like it. It had raisins in it too which was giving it a good taste. Soft. Also recommended. 😃 LOCATION: Definitely worth it to visit and enjoy the atmosphere. It was Awesome!!!

Me and my girlfriend were on the lookout for some authentic German food and we stumbled across this beautiful beer garden at the base of the castle. The food was so good at a really affordable price compared to other restaurants in similar locations. Service was prompt and one of the male staff was especially fun bringing a great vibe to the whole place. Of course joined by great German beer I would say this is a must visit when in town.

Great cozy cafe in the centre of Nuremberg, the staff was very friendly and the coffee was good. The prices were also very good. Only improvement in my opinion can be the toilet, it was fine but definitely could be better maintained, also, try to have cash on you, but that goes for most of Germany. I will be back if in the area!

Cafe Bar Wanderer is located at Beim Tiergärtnertor just below the Nuremberg Castle in the north section of the Old Town. They have a restaurant as well as a detached and separate bar where we were able to enjoy Gluhwein during the recent annual Christmas Market. There are standing tables outstand the bar where you can have your mulled wine, prices and glass deposits are similar to what you will find throughout Nuremburg. We really enjoyed having gluhwein at this particular location, it is quite atmospheric on cold winter days.

This place is a staple of Nuremberg! It is one of those places where you can simply lounge around, get a beer or a glass of wine, and simply enjoy life! If you’ve never been to Cafe Wanderer and Bieramt, grab a couple of friends and enjoy a wonderful time, watching people go by, surrounded by historical buildings. Fancy yourself a bit of alone time? Same rules apply: go there, grab something to drink, and enjoy the ambience!

58 yr old Solo traveller doing 6 weeks in Eastern Europe before a work conference. So not spending huge amounts per night but not doing dorms. This hotel is great. Good location. Cheapest room is single and fine and clean. Breakfast is much better than you do for your family and is included. Good ham and cheese and breads etc. but it’s Germany and if you can’t do that right…. This hotel is cheap, cheerful and very good enough. Single room is a single room with no fridge. I’d recommend this place to my brother if he happened to be in this wonderful city in the future. Solid internet in the excellent attached restaurant. Lousy in the rooms. So not a great remote work site if you can do that sort of thing.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Our room was quiet, spacious, clean and had plenty of storage. The location, within the old city, was great for sightseeing. Easy to walk to historic areas and restaurants. Breakfast had many choices plus a tasty selection of breads and rolls. Dinner in the attached restaurant was very good with an extensive wine list that described each. All staff were welcoming and helpful.

Great value for money. The location is fantastic. Just walk outside and you are in the Nuremberg old town. The room was just fine for one person. The breakfast met my expectations, and even more. The staff is nice. The atmosphere in general was relaxed and comfortable.

The wine list is thoughtful—local Franconian rieslings paired beautifully with my creamy mushroom spaetzle. The waitstaff felt genuinely proud of their region, offering tasting notes that enhanced the meal without pressure. Prices were fair for the quality, and the atmosphere was warm—soft lighting, hushed conversations, and that satisfying feeling of “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.” Ideal for couples or small groups looking for an authentic taste of Nürnberg hospitality.

The restaurant was recommended by a colleague. We had our team Holiday dinner and the food was delicious. The portions were big and service was friendly. I saw some reviews about the menu being pricey. I will not call it pricey but is not cheap. Highly recommend the place. I’m taking my family for dinner next week to have traditional German food which is not just bratwurst 😊!

Extremely bad breakfast 😕 I couldn't eat there, coffee machine is brocken. The pillows in the room are not comfy it's impossible. It was also not enough soap in the end both in the shower and in the toilet. Why? It's just a soap you could have given the full bottle. Extremely rude.

Nice place to have dinner with friends, typical Mexican food, portions are big and good variety of drinks, both with or without alcohol. There is no service hence you need to order at the cash point and then wait until you’re called for picking up your food - you will not get a number but a character 🙃 Parking around might not be easy but still possible without too much waiting time. Overall good relation quality-price and a pleasant environment to have good time with friends.

We went to Crazy Nates at the Wöhrder See on Saturday — first time there, and honestly, it blew us away. We’ve been hunting for a good Mexican spot in Nuremberg forever and kept getting disappointed… until now. The vibe? Super chill, kinda loud but in a fun house party way. The place looks awesome — skater style mixed with Cali energy (the California flag outside totally sold it). Big shoutout to Chrissy at the front — she noticed we were a bit lost with the menu, helped us out, and recommended the Crazy Nate’s chicken tacos with a taco plate and a mixed margarita. Absolute game changer. JFYI, we got lucky and scored a table even tho it was packed — better book ahead on a Saturday. If you’re craving real Mexican food in Nuremberg, this is the spot. 🌮🔥

The best tacos on this side of the ocean 100%, but trust me it doesn’t just stop at the tacos. Great atmosphere, awesome staff, and always feel welcomed. The food is overpriced for the quality. I'd say a good Dürüm at your local Kebab for 7,50€ beats the 15€ Burrito. They also insist on speaking english rather than german for some reason.

Really enjoyed this place. Yes it’s very simple in that you order at the counter, collect your own food and drinks and clear your plates away at the end. It’s just a different setup that they have which is great as it’s not the same old Bavarian restaurant. It’s a small restaurant but we got there early to avoid having to wait. The decor is cool, random stuff and I like the snowboard benches. The menu isn’t huge but what more do you need than burritos, quesadillas, tacos and nachos! You choose your main filling, meat or vegan and then the different styles come with a variety of other fillings... easy. I had the chicken quesadilla and my wife had the chicken burrito. We both really enjoyed them. They had a lovely smokiness to the chicken and you can’t go wrong with gooey cheese. The service was good and the guy serving us was friendly. We would go again. They take credit card too.

Nice venue, friendly staff. We had the chateaubriand dinner for two as it seemed to be the signature dish. Easily the toughest tenderloin of beef we ever had. Difficult to eat, though cooked medium rare as ordered. The balance of the food was uninspired. Interestingly, we were excited to try the escargot. Again, the worst we ever had. It was sort of chopped up in a pan with little flavor. Hard to understand how this place is highly rated.

The local Silvaner tasted more like grape juice, and we had no chance to verify whether we were actually served the wine we ordered. The waiter brought the wine already poured into glasses Although different guests ordered different sides, they were all lumped together onto one small plate. It looked like a mess. The potatoes were cold. The waiter seemed entirely unconcerned with any service standards or etiquette. At the end, we were even presented with a bill that included a dish we hadn’t ordered.

I can't say that the food was especially good. The starter with snails was really good but the main course wasn't great..a salmon steak with no spices and full of huge bones. The portion of wine was very generous tho 😅 And it costed around 42€. I think it's too pricey for the food like this.

This was one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The service, food, mood and menu were great. The restaurant is located in an intimate, romantic, quiet townhouse like building. The waitstaff and kitchen were very friendly and attentive. If you like seafood, pick a whole fish or a mixed grill for 2. The portion of the mix grill was enough for 3. Love this place enough to go twice and would have went again if I had time.

However the tables size doesn’t work with plates size / shape - one of these should be changed, so it’s comfortable enough for the guests to eat. Absolutely an amazing French restaurant in Nuremberg, Germany! It was so unique, with funky cool vibe from long ago. The food was delicious as well! Very lively and loud inside. (We like that!) Our friend had venison with gratin potatoes. My wife and I had the grilled seafood salad as our starters (a meal in itself we could have been done) then she had grilled salmon and rice. While I had octopus, prawns with fish in a red sauce starved with rice. It wS all so good! I recommend trying Prison (the restaurant) ha ha! Great find!

Industrial ice cream for tourists with Italian soundings. Avoid if you care about what you eat If you have ever tried the Italian ice cream you should already know that they sell terrible ice creams all around Germany. I went to this restaurant last night. I encountered an unhelpful male staff member with glasses. After trying one ice cream flavor and choosing not to buy it, I proceeded to purchase two cups for my family. When I then asked to sample a different flavor, he refused, citing a one-sample-per-customer rule. This policy felt inflexible and disregarded my status as a paying customer who had just made, and was intending to make, further purchases.

OMG 😱 - by far, best ice cream in Nürnberg, located right at hauptmarktplatz so it's certainly easy to arrive by public transportation, walk or bike. Prices varies depending on the flavor you choose. If you are around, don't miss the chance and go for it!

Wow so don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach because the portions of icecreams in the menu (vs a scoop of icecream plain) are huge! You could definitely split one. The ice cream itself is delicious. Variety of berries and fresh. Loved the cappuccino as well. Both outdoor and indoor seating- plenty available.

Went with a bigger party. Food was mostly really good except for a couple things our friends had. Tacos were fire 🔥 can't complain about the service, they were very attentive and polite. The biggest minus was probably that the music was very loud, we literally had to yell to talk to our friends sitting across the table. But all in all it's a really cute place!

We visited yesterday for dinner. This is a well done place with cozy vibes perfect for evening catch ups and dinners. Food and cocktails definitely stands out. We ordered the bollywood taco, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and gulabjaam with icecream. Apart from the gulabjaam, every thing was top notch. Chicken tikka is must order along with the taco. Highly recommended. May be the gulabjaam were frozen for long before serving. If they can fix this, it will be great. Staff was welcoming and attentive. They contribute to the amazing experience.

Last minute change of plans is how we ended up here. Awesome location In the old city of Nürnberg this modern Indian Urban food restaurant offers excellent service, and large menu, great portions and phenomenal food. We ate on the terrace and enjoyed the lovely city going on around us. If you like Indian cuisine this is a must visit restaurant.

The masala lassi was delicious and the servers were friendly, which I appreciated. However, I found the rest of the food disappointing for the price - the flavours didn’t meet my expectations. Also, during my visit, someone who seemed to be the owner was talking loudly with some guests table, which felt unprofessional and distracting in the dining area for the customers. Edit: The restaurant tried to remove my review at least 4 times since I have posted. So I am attaching a receipt of my visit for reference.

Found this little gem by chance while walking and didn't regret it. Very authentic food. The pasta is absolutely delicious. I just wanted to eat the pasta by itself, it was so good. And the portions are perfect, so you can actually enjoy a small starter, main course and dessert without rolling out of the restaurant with a full belly. The tiramisu is also a must for dessert. Fluffy and creamy. An Italian dream in a German city!✨️🇮🇹🍝 I would recommend booking in advance though. We were craving Italian food and came here for dinner. The owner was so friendly and accommodating. He spoke English and allowed us the choose our table. We both had the Salmon pasta and pana cota. They were delicious.

A cozy little spot by the castle wall, just outside the tunnel, down pass the square. Service is really personable and friendly. They treat you like family. Pasta was great and they have a good variety. The octopus was a bit too salty, but I mixed it with my salad and it was fine. After dinner have some dessert and grappa. I loved it so much I went two nights in a row.

It was a good experience , nice atmosphere prices are reasonable. The pasta with the truffle was good the carbonara was not for my taste - to much sauce. The antipasti were super tasty !

I found this nice little Italian joint close to my hotel. It feels a bit like a side street restaurant in Trastavere or similar in Rome. In any case, it was nice to eat something different than typical Bavarian sausages. You'll enjoy going here.

I am a vegetarian and ordered a soup. There was no English menu available, so I used the Google Translate app, which did not indicate that the soup contained any meat. The menu was unclear and did not specify whether the dishes were vegetarian. I informed the waiter that I wanted the vegetarian soup, but when I received it, it contained three strange dumplings that seemed to have meat or seafood. I told her I was a vegetarian and that the food looked unusual, but she became angry and rude. Her first response was, 'Even if you don’t like it or eat it, you have to pay for it.' She did not apologize or suggest changing the dish to a vegetarian option. My other dish was a salad, which, to be honest, was quite average for the price—very cold and lacking dressing. My friend requested to speak with the manager, but the waiter became even ruder and claimed that the manager was not available, so we could not do anything. In the end, I told her I would not pay for the soup. She was very angry and called the manager on the phone. After a long wait, she reluctantly agreed that we would not have to pay for the soup, but her attitude was very arrogant, careless, and rude. We were extremely disappointed with the service, the attitude, and the food.

The food was very terrible we ordered Kurkuma rice with chicken, taste was horrible the chicken was super old and smelly not edible at all, the waiter was arrogant and rude arguing it’s the taste of kurukuma which no idiot would believe, aslo he himself said he has raised a complaint and there was no proof of it,he was arrogant refused to replace and insisted to do take away which is absurd, we were charged just for a piece of meat and returned them which had foul smell,the summer roll with lemon grass dint had any flavour absolute waste of money. The price is super high for the quality and the taste of food, service is another disaster, only good thing is the ambience which makes no sense when you serve disastrous food, not anytime again and not worthy to visit. Very delicious Vietnamese cuisine. We had different meals,like Papayasalad(spicy),ricepaper rolls with chicken sate,veggie dumplings and a chicken dish with rice like a curry. All fresh served and dessert some ice cream,mango blueberry and vanilla with exotic fruits. One espresso,very good and a Tiger bear from Singapore. We had a nice evening woth family there. We recommend it for you.

Decent casual fine dining restaurant. For disclosure my latest visit was for a private dinner celebration so might be slightly different from a normal service. But here's what I can share: Cozy, yet smart hybrid of dining room and bar area with a semi open kitchen, hence the name. The owner/chef was an excellent host and managed a formidable multi course menu out of the tiny kitchen. Proteins and veggies seem to be all sourced regionally. The meat dishes were indeed quite nice, like the slices of pork belly with blood sausage or rump steak as the main. A common trait of all dishes was a certain rustic boldness with a lot of umami and generally a lot of flavor. For my liking this got a bit tiresome over the evening as I missed some finesse. I haven't seen the wine list but the selection of Riesling and Chardonnay on our table was spot on. Overall, definitely a place to to have in mind when in Nuremberg and in the mood for an upscale yet casual dinner.

Very fortunate to have discovered this restaurant during our visit to Nürnberg. Went for dinner and it was simply amazing. First the location is in a quite part of town and the restaurant was mostly visited by what seemed to be locals. We chose the tasting menu and paired wine with it. As you can clearly see from the pictures, all the food was a work of art. We were lucky to be seated at the chefs table and could easily watch many meals prepared. Very unique restaurant and definitely worth visiting.

Came into town to visit my sister who has been living here and she brought me to her favorite restaurant for our final dinner of my trip. The food was amazing. Be ready for a long dinner because we got there at 630 and left around 10. Out of our group of 4 we had ordered every dish on the menu. It is too bad that the menu changes every 3 weeks since by the time some people read this. The menu items won't be on the menu anymore. Make sure to call in for a reservation

i went there because the italian people i know from nürnberg recommended it and i must say they are right. they only serve pizzas and some appetizers and the pizzas are absolutely delicious, the dough is really really good. they have some vegan options and i must say i missed some vegetarian ones apart from the margarita and the 4 cheese because they weren't any that had some vegetable but not meat. i would give it a 5 if it was not because in my opinion the pizzas are a bit too expensive, i mean i ordered the margarita and yes the pizza was good but the mozzarella was not super good quality and it was 10€ or something ... but yes fine i really enjoyed also in the woman's bathroom they have two wc's together so you can pee next to your friend holding hands .... i didn't do it but if anyone wants to, you can

The Burrata was really good tho a bit expensive, the pizza was also good however the dough is really thin and in the middle it wasn't crunchy at all, it was cooked but soggy. Overall it was good tho...

This place is really worth a visit! I suggest to make a reservation as the place is very demanded among locals. The atmosphere is very neat, however it does get quite loud. If you are ready to speak a little bit louder, then there should be no other issues. The service was good, pizza - absolutely amazing! And the food was ready in about 15 minutes, even if the place was packed.

Best pizza in town! I love it. Just make sure to make a reservation as it is always crowded. The service is jot the best, they a have a lot of demand so they don't care that much about the guest. But the pizza will make it worth it.

I have been coming here with my group of friends, but last time the owner treated us so bad and unprofessional. I guess because it's getting famous the service stars going down. Because we didn't reserve a table he said that couldn't serve us... And didn't provide a estimated time for wait, could be 5min or 45min Woaaa really professional for a owner!! Also noticed that the pizza got smaller. You might have the best pizza in the city but the service it's the worst.

Great place for a quick bite. It's very small and you eat standing at tables. There are picnic tables outside as well.

Comparing to other döners this was rather small portion. Staff was nice and food was served very fast. But if you are really hungry, take two.

The reviews were glowing, so I decided to walk in without a booking — and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. Sarah, the host, was incredibly accommodating and somehow found me a seat despite the place being packed. I was dining solo, but never once felt alone. I ordered the steak and eggplant, and everything — from the perfectly cooked steak to the incredible bread — was just fantastic. Sarah’s friendliness really stood out. She remembered my name, took time to chat even in the middle of a busy evening, and made the experience feel truly personal. I was so impressed that I immediately booked myself in for dinner the next night. When I returned the following evening, earlier than my reservation, Sarah again found me a seat — this time outside to enjoy the warmer weather. I wasn’t in the mood for alcohol, so she whipped up a special mocktail just for me — it was refreshing and delicious. During our conversation, I mentioned wanting to try white asparagus but hadn’t had the chance yet. Incredibly, Sarah and the chef went into the kitchen and put together a special meal featuring it — just for me. I believe it was a preview of their upcoming menu, and I felt incredibly lucky to try it. This level of care and attentiveness is rare. The food was outstanding, but it was the warmth, hospitality, and personal touches that made Globo a highlight of my trip. I can’t recommend it enough — and I’ll definitely be returning when I’m next in Nuremberg.

The best service and food I had in 6y living in Europe! The Entrecot was softer than Butter, reminded me of my family "churrasco" in southern Brazil.

Everything was so delicious. Great spot for seasonal fresh food. No specific culinary background. We got the oxtail, pumpkin risotto, cauliflower and rumpsteak for 2 people.

Great food taste, nice atmosphère, on a lovely square. The variety of taste and texture is huge, you a good culinary moment in this restaurant. I recommend.

Delicious newly interpreted regional kitchen. Very creative and we had always something to wonder about in each dish accompanied by wine to pair with. Staff was very friendly and was happy to answer our curious questions about each dish, can’t wait to go back!

This restaurant is located 10 minutes away from the City Centre by foot. The ambiance is not so appealing. Some features are cute. The server was very friendly and quick. Comfort was optimal. The food is extremely good especially the Pork Chops in Starters and Pork Knuckle in Main Course. Even the Tomato Hummus is great!! One of us had a cocktail (it's not on the menu but you can ask them. They have 3) and according to the server it is customised. It was too good!! Cinnamon, apple and prosecco!! :)

One of the nicest cafés in Nuremberg – cozy atmosphere and a warm, lively vibe. The coffee is delicious, and the food menu is varied, but what really makes this place stand out are the staff. Their kindness and welcoming smiles truly elevate the whole experience. From the very first visit, you feel at home. Honestly, the staff here are the best – thank you for such outstanding service!

The place is located close to downtown but in a really relax area, which I love because you don’t get the noise of the city but in few steps you are in the heart of the city. I would put this place more as a bistro than a pure coffee. The prices are fair and have space inside and outside for when the weather is nice. They have a selection of fresh home made cakes that are really nice with the correct amount of sweetness. Their beer menu is very good together with the cocktails, better than their coffee selection I must say. The only downside for me is the kind of atmosphere, the deco is pretty retro chic cool but every time I am there I feel kind of uncomfortable because attracts an specific customer that makes me feel uncomfortable. But again, that is just me.

The staff is super nice and friendly. The ambience is really chill. Good to hang out with friends here but the selection of food is limited esp for breakfast.

Nice vintage bar in the city center of Nürnberg. The coffee is really good and they also serve food. My cake was great. The waitress was polite and attentive. It was a bit crowded, but the terrace wasn't in use because it was raining. I'm sure it's very nice when the sun is shining... A bit hipster though.

I had curry noodle and the sticky rice with coconut and mango. Everything was delicious! We were three friends and everyone loved the food. Small place, but everything is cute and cosy, and also small menu but everything cooked perfectly. We will surely come back

very nice and cozy place, it's not very big and the tables are quite small but the food is good and the portions are really big! vegetarian and vegan options and really good price ! they do not serve any drink with alcohol i think and you can pay by credit card but 15€ or more :)

Food was ok and I do not really like leaving reviews but I got overcharged and the explanation afterwards was not transparent (I realised it after paying with card and the cashier noticed that I was confused about the final amount). It is not about this amount of money (in the end it might be 2-3 euros which I would leave as a tip anyway) but about how you treat costumers, esp those who are not native German speakers

I had the Lek Haeng. It's the one with the slice of lemon on top. It's a refreshing noodle that you HAVE TO EAT WHILE MIXING it around, you want the liquid sauce to be soaked into the noodles. My friend with weird dietary restrictions also had no problems eating here and they let you substitute stuff out of your food. She had the Khao Yam which was good but better for a sunny day (it was Regenzeit when we went haha😏). I also had the sticky mango rice which was good. The coconut milk was yummy and the magoes were sweet. Only complaint was the rice is a bit undercooked so there were some slightly crispy al dente rice🤣. THE DECOR IS GIVING MAJOR STREETFOOD VIBES. A nice change of pace from the usual biergarten we get around here. Also the cashier guy was cute so sue me🤷🏻‍♀️.

So so so sooooo good!! OMG this is the most authentic Thai food I have had here in Germany. This is just like the amazing Thai food we would get back home in Australia in the centre of our local Thai communities. The food is beautifully sweet, sour, salty and just a little bit spicy with so much wonderful freshness and authenticity. There is so much flavour in these dishes. The actual restaurant/cafe is fairly small with only a few tables inside and a few extra outside, very 70s decor and very casual. This is truly one of GOHOs little hidden treasures! 10⭐s

It’s a pretty place hidden near the old town, the ambience is great and the cappuccino tasted good, the prices are nominal, well decorated interiors and they provide you free tap water, the red velvet cake was much salty could haven’t been better, when informed them they refunded half the price and provided a tiny smoothie which was a good gesture, overall good

Here it is quiet and you can speak easily. There are 2 types of beans for coffee, but there were little bit the same. Flat White with oat milk wasn't tasty. The ingwer cookie wasn't fresh and didn't feel so much. Honey torte is very tasty.

I really recommend this place to study. It has good atmosphere, is quiet and long tables. The coffee was freshly grounded. Will come back soon.
