After being on the waiting list for a while, we decided to try our luck as a walk in customer. We were so fortunate that there was a slot and we were able to have an early dinner. As the 2025 number one restaurant in the world, we had high expectations. The staff were professional, friendly and explained clearly how we should eat each dish to get the best culinary experience. Each dish gave an amazing taste that is hard to describe and it is no wonder that this is the top restaurant in the world. All dishes were amazing, but my favourite was the scallop with urchin.

We visited the restaurant for the Maido Experience after it got given the #1 Restaurant in the World Award and were not disappointed at all. It was a truly unique experience from the moment we walked in until we left, from the staff greeting until the last goodbye. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, with exquisite table setting and plates. The dining experience was phenomenal, with 14 different wonderful bites to try, each one with an amazing taste, texture, presentation, combination of flavours and of course a wonderful introduction by our waiter. It took us about 2 hours to go through each dish, with the perfect timing in between dishes for you to eat, savour, take in, enjoy and discuss with your friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and can’t wait to come back, next time maybe to focus on a dish or two. We consider ourselves very fortunate for having the opportunity to experience something like this. Thank you Misha for making it possible. ❤️

I’ve had really high expectations for Maido, as it was supposed to be one of the peaks of my trip to Peru. However, I left rather dissapointed. There was nothing wrong about the food, it was OK, but nothing special. Had better food many times. Don’t believe it was worth the price or the hype.

Such a fun and tasty dinner! The experience was great.. each course was delicious, a little adventurous, and my favorite part was the use of texture in every dish!! They are booked constantly so their reservations are strict and they should be! Timing of dishes was great and the sake selection is good.

How is this number one in the world? Did these people lose their taste buds in 2025? The meal started out okay but nothing spectacular. Could easily name 100 restaurants that were better than Maido that I’ve eaten at all over the world. They tried to copy Central in bringing in the raw ingredients to the table, but it’s a totally different vibe. The sushi rice was so poorly cooked, even just touching it with the chopstick I could tell it wasn’t right. It was hard and starchy… how can you mess up something so essential in Japanese cuisine? The glass noodles were all stuck together and gummy. And the dessert was just atrocious… chorizo flavored ice cream with a soup of lemongrass flavored soy milk. I’m sorry but it made me want to throw up. Such a disappointment all around.

Great decorations. Food presentation is amazing. However, for me, the taste is a bit overpowering, especially the citrus taste. For someone who loves Japanese food, the taste did not amaze me, but the presentation is great.

Great food at a reasonable price. I had the Alitas Tusan. This was 12 chicken wings in a mildly spicy BBQ sauce. The wings were smaller than American wings but don't have any fillers. My wife had beef and broccoli. Our waiter, Walter spoke English well, and was welcoming and friendly. Both meals, appetizer, tip with a glass of wine and a beer were $48 US Dollars .

Wonderful dinning experience here. We have lived in Asia many years and the food here is 10/10 in comparison. Also our waiter (I think was walter a.) was amazing in accommodating my dietary needs of vegan.

Visited Feb2024. It is a chain Chinese restaurant in Lima with multiple locations. Authentic asian taste. Cozy atmosphere, friendly and efficient service.

It's the best restaurant to have Peruvian Chinese in Mira Flores. I like the cocktail here and then the spaghetti and dim sum was really nice. Overall I will read this restaurant 4 out of 5 and they really mentioned the hygiene so you should go. Ambience is also good. Try to reach early or else it will be crowded and you have to wait for a long time.

Great food though quite pricey, and excellent service. The menu has a vegetarian section and on top of that a few dishes (fat noodles stir fry and fried won ton) could be made vegetarian. The roast duck was nice and soft, and had good flavour; served with hoisin sauce and actually spicy dip, it was delicious. £40 for 2 people but with enough leftovers for lunch.

Fun atmosphere for chifa. The food wasn’t as fantastic as I thought it’d be, given that some was less of a fusion and it was hard to tell where the Peruvian influence was. But we had some great food. I’d recommend it for those interested in trying Chifa, but note they don’t have cuy (guinea pig).

Bustling chifa (Chinese-Peruvian) restaurant in Barronco set in a large and nicely decorated space. Came here with a group of 7 for lunch, and the place was pretty packed. Family portion sizes are huge - a few at the table ordered a family size soup to share and it was the size of a crockpot. A few vegetarian options - rice, noodle dishes with vegetables and tofu. Food was tasty, though greasy (not unexpected). Staff was friendly and was very appreciative that I left a tip (so much so that the manager came over to thank me and then gave me a gift).

Definetely one of the best restaurants in Lima. The food is very very delicious, portions are not big not little either. A little pricey but totally worth it. Thr arroz con Pato was the best I ever tried and the tiramisu of Pistacho is to die for 😋. It was a nice experience... it is located in the center of San Isidro distric and hard to find since it doesnt has a name outside. We had bad luck with a silly waiter, but in overall the time we spent there was enjoyable and I cant wait to visit it again.

This is good food! Came here on my first lunch experience while traveling to PERU! And this was so fine!!!!! We ordered different dishes to try them out and my favorite was the BUN and the ceviche! Cool modern spin on what I presume to be Peruvian cuisine. Fish used in dishes tasted fresh. Octopus was very nicely done. I really enjoyed the dish that had a corn pudding like item but forgot what it is called.

Food and atmosphere was top notch but the love did not reach the servers. Ceviche was excellent, scallops "on fire" were our favorite and the classic parmesan ones delicious too. Do order a Cesar and enjoy it... when it gets there... the waiters just need to better organized.

Amazing Experience, Peruvian food with quality ingredients, dishes are fresh and served very fast. There are many option of creative cocktails. We ordered 4 dishes and was enough for 2 people. The atmosphere is nice, ventilated, good music, clean, spacious and confortable tables. All food reviews are subjective and this is from the point of view of an ethnic Chinese person from SE Asia who is a little bit of a foodie. My food rating reflects expectations for a pricy restaurant. We asked for less salt as prior experience showed us that Peruvians like more salt. Ordered the chaufa (with prawns, bbq meat), wan tan soup, garlic beef with black bean sauce (confusingly there is another dish with black bean sauce) and their apparent specialty sweet bbq pork ribs. The wantan soup came with very little soup and lots of loaded ingredients such as bbq pork, roasted duck, chicken strips, cabbage, pigeons egg and the eponymous wantan. The soup was pretty good - pity there was too little of it. The bbq pork and duck was v good with a hint of smoked flavor. The chicken was v tough but I suspect there because it was part of the broth (might be an old chicken or rooster). The wantan, however, was too large to fit into the mouth and the skin was very thick and the taste was mediocre. Overall a mixed result. I think can just leave out the egg, the chicken and balance out with more soup and cabbage. Also the wantan can be improved on wrt skin and size as mentioned. The chaufa was nicely done. Its taste was brightened by the plump shrimp pieces and the bbq pork (again the bbq). Thumbs up on this. The beef was good. It basically tasted like char grilled steak sliced and doused in a black sauce (I think black bean provides the basis). If it were up to me, I’d have added quite a bit more spring onions. The pork ribs - advertised as a specialty of the restaurant - was the biggest disappointment. The pork ribs did not have any “porky” taste and the meat texture was odd. It was overwhelmed by the sauce which I would say tasted exactly like the thai sweet chilli sauce I can buy at any random supermarket at home. I gave a 5 for atmosphere (for a tourist) as the restaurant was packed with Peruvians out for lunch. I gave a 3 for service because (a) the handle of the tea pot broke (it’s a cheap thing with plastic ties) and (b) they actually forgot our pork ribs order and had to be reminded so we ended the meal with the worse dish of the lot.

On my recent trip to Peru, Chifa Titi was a must on my list — from previous visits I knew it never disappoints, and for many (myself included) it’s considered one of the best chifas in Lima. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as it’s usually packed. We went on a Saturday night, party of five, and were warmly welcomed and seated right away. Our feast began with: Appetizers: BBQ pork ribs, a dozen crispy fried wontons, and roast duck with pickled turnip. Mains: Garlic roasted pork (my mom’s favorite), Chi Jau Kay chicken, Titi Special Fried Rice, and Sam Si Stir-Fried Noodles. As always, Chifa Titi delivered — everything was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. The next time I’m in Lima, I’ll be back here without a doubt.

My wife and her family's favorite chifa restaurant. They love the roasted duck and soups the most. Fancy place for a birthday or other special occasion. This time I tried the pork and fried chicken, both were tasty. Arguably the best quality chifa you'll find in Lima.

Exceeded my expectations for Chinese! I ordered the chow fun, the noodles were delicious but not particularly a fan of the pork, I think it would have been better with beef. The dumplings were underwhelming The rice dish had some nice umami flavors

Pretty good Chifa, but also nothing too special. The rice dishes are good and the portions are large, but it was little too saucy and greasy for my taste. The atmosphere does have the Cantonese banquet hall vibe, lots of space.

Unexpected deliciously prepared dishes and club sandwich, some soups will require lemon/lime or salt and pepper, 100% natural fruit juices were amazing, nicely flavored bbq wing sauce, Peru knows potatoes...lightly crispy outer layer with smooth inside! Wa Lok is a fitting match with Nobility Grand Hotel in Miraflores, Peru.

This location had a cheap, rather delicious chicken fried rice. However I also believe it gave me food poisoning. The waiter was also not amiable at all and requested a tip. I left with mixed feelings.

The food is good, the service not so much. I wanted a dish but the chicken done differently. They tried to charge a more expensive dish even though they served me the cheaper dish *exactly as on the menu* (ignoring my request). I complained of course. At times I was surrounded by 4-5 helpless waiters, just buzzing about not doing anything. They resolved it in the end, but it took time and they were seemingly overwhelmed by the situation. And for all that fuzz the prices are too high. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad place to eat. Just would prefer a small local restaurant any time. :)

30 minute wait after ordering food and a bit of confusion with the order is still acceptable. The mushrooms I ordered were drenched in sauce and slimy, as were the chinchonfans (see pictures) - I tried the chinchonfans and sent them and the slimy mushrooms back. They might have veggie options but it seems to me those are not good, some of the meat dishes that passed me looked alright. Wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re a vegetarian.

Wow I cannot tell you how amazing this place is, 5 stars does not even begin to express the greatness of this place. My husband goes here all the time with the people he works with and finally brought us here. Everything was delicious and the attention to detail was just great. (If you get anything with carrot... notice they are cut like stars.) Even the restrooms were clean and beautiful. That had to be the most beautiful changing table I have ever seen. A very good dim sum , only 1 item was bad xiaolongpao (steam pork buns) the dough was really bad and the filling was the same from other dim sum , and was really dry inside. Best item that I Order was hakao ( prawns dumpling ) really fresh prawns super crunch.

Went there twice. The first experience was way much better than the second one. But still we are happy with the food. Positions are crazy big and one chifa plate is enough for two. One thing is very annoying taht the service is very very slow even it looks like there are many workers food arrives in 20-25 mins at least. The staff recommended a pineapple bun with coconut filling- it was delicious. Staff does not speak fluent English but they do their best to make your time enjoyable. Must visit.

When we were about to pay they told us in a rude way they weren't accepting coupons or discount of any kind. Not what it used to be. Won't come back again and I suggest you stop coming unless strictly necessary to force the restaurant level up their service and food. Unless you happen to be class conscious that is.

Decent chifa loved by limeños. Usually very pecked and have to wait to be seated. Really don’t know whether it’s cantonese style but they are pretty good. Soups are not impressive, though. Recommended with Peruvian friends. Service could be slow since they are very busy.

I do not understand how this place got so many good reviews. Ordered the wonton soup, house fried rice, beef crispy chow mein, and a chicken dish. Aside from the wonton soup, the other dishes tasted like they were cooked and then had soy sauce dumped on them. The flavors were not balanced nor did they taste authentic. They wonton soup was BLAH. I definitely do not recommend this place if you want good tasting Chinese food. We had a much better meal at Madam Tusan, which tasted like the authentic Chinese food I grew up eating.

The Chinese food in Peru 🇵🇪 is not of this world, I see the good and bad reviews but I have to say the bad must have came in on a bad day. The chifa with chicken was perfect, one of the best I've ever tasted. The chicken sofritas stood out because of the hints of cinnamon and the the beef in sauce was worth bragging about. This place impressed me! The vibes were nice, it secure and the staff is friendly. They have a book in case your not familiar with the menu. Highly recommend 👌 Actually just seen that the sauce is where the cinnamon is coming from. Julio was a great host. Making one more stop before I leave. 3 dishes good portions and 2 drinks came to 116 soles. Can't beat it

Im from the states and I wish the menu was in English but I get it im in another country. I ordered dim sum soup and a beef and rice dish and both were delicious. Service was fast. I've downloaded an translator that translates pictures app just so I can go back and try more dishes. I recommend this place.

This is a huge Chinese restaurant....when you walk in you can sit on the right which is set menu or in main hall which is al a carte. I ordered 3 dishes....wonton as starter, chicken for main plus special fried rice. Starter and rice come within 90 seconds and main 1 min later....this food although flavourful was already made. Rice was luke warm at best....prices were on high end for a la carte. You best to sit to right side for set menu deals.

This one should rank higher in any best Lima Chifas list. Not only is the food just right and tasteful, they've also been consistent throughout the years. First time I ate here I was but a child, over 20 years ago. The flavor is the same and every dish I've tried is excellent. The service is also consistently nice and accomodating. The prices remain on the higher end for mid-priced Chifas, yet they could easily charge way more, somewhere along the line with Chifas like Wa Lok. This place is traditional and excellent. A gem. If you're waiting for a table (especially during weekends or holidays) be sure to checkout their small fishpond.

This is a good place to try Chinese Peruvian food and they have all kind of food like pork chicken vegan seafood and fried rice and archive of Chinese food they have for the special touch the size of the the place are really good the value money price it's really convenient and they have a really delicious foods so you must try a well my favorite is tofu with vegetables and fried rice of course. People is really friendly there there is a good service and environment is good, located just next to a park and there are a lot of space to sit I prefer to sit in the first floor but they have a second floor too if you prefer.

Madam Tuscan is definitely a place to avoid. Fast chifa that is not very tasty, with very slow service. The problem with the service was not the waiters, but the lack of sufficient staff. We waited almost 30 minutes to receive soup, fired wontons, and spring rolls. Then, the different duck plates, three in total, seemed to be missing the duck. We were all asking with disappointment, “where’s the duck?” The only plates that were good were the sweet and sour pork, the fried wontons, and the spring rolls. One plate never arrived at the table so we cancelled it so we could leave. This is definitely not a restaurant I will recommend to my friends, family, and colleagues.

We had an amazing lunch here, a true banquet with my in laws. Food is great! The restaurant is big but service is prompt.

My first experience at one of these Gaston Acurio's chifas, the Peruvian take on Chinese food. Tried the wantanes (classic and special, with classic being better than special, although both spectacular the same), some meat platter, and a chaufa, the Peruvian style fried rice, a surprisingly good dish. All in all, a highly recommended place.

The food was good, but we ordered a feast for a party of 8 and they brought us food for 6. We reviewed the list of food and one plate was missing. The waiter offered us the one missing plate but suddenly changed his mind and gave us extra sodas. Lack of supervisors ! Disappointed. Awful service.

We ordered the duck feast but their system crashed and we waited over 20 minutes between the 2nd and 3rd dish. When we complained they just shrugged their shoulders. We were celebrating my father in law's birthday and we wanted to enjoy our family time. However they seemed uninterested in trying mitigate the issue.
