The Pikachu was a soft donut filled with whipped cream and coated with a caramel chocolate glaze, light and mildly sweet. The Diglett was a choux puff filled with the same whipped cream and coated with a milk chocolate glaze, and comes with a mochi donut ring coated in white chocolate and some chocolate crumbing. The contrasting textures of the donut and the chocolate flavor made it more enjoyable than the Pikachu donut. The chocolate mochi ring donut was more chocolatey but not too sweet. The last one I tried was a savory Taiwanese special peppery minced pork in a puff pie pastry which was flaky; flavor was decent but it was cold. Would have been nice if the staff have offered to heat up the pie pastry for dine-in.

After an exhausting day traipsing around Kyoto we stumbled over this Mister Donut in Kyoto station and we're revived with a good cup of coffee and the best donuts you'll find anywhere. Good seating for people watching as you overlook the central gateway to the station.

It was interesting to see a Mister Donut/ Pie Face because most Pie Face chains have closed where I am from. It is conveniently located in Kyoto station. A popular spot judging by the amount of people that were dining in. There was a bit of a line up but it moved quickly. I wanted to try the Pokeball or Pikachu donut but I couldn't see any in the window & I didn't want to buy the 3 pack they were advertising. Opted for a cream filled one instead with a little chocolate on the side. The donut was soft to bite into and there was a reasonable amount of cream inside it. I liked how it wasn't too sweet. My finance got the Psyduck one. I had a bite of that. You will like it if you are a fan of cream. It was covered in icing and on the sweeter side. We grabbed take away orginally but ended up eating in.

The servers are rude. We bought ice cream at their store but they did not remember us since we went back to try to use the toilet. My wife badly needed the toilet buy they were very insensitive to consider.
