This place is a masterpiece for fresh and home made cakes. All look very tasty. We had perla, bella maria. Delicious, very clean and good service. Definitely recommend this place.

Great coffee and pastry shop right in the core of Hvar. They have some seating indoors; the staff is very friendly. Their pastries and cakes are made in house - very fresh, fancy, and elaborate. Highly recommend this cafe for iced coffee and some cakes!

Great spot for a coffee & a sweet treat. Located along one of the main streets this place was a great find, friendly owners, really good coffee and an amazing selection of baked goods. We enjoyed the peanut cookie & the crunchy nuts slice. Fab value €10.50 for 2 coffees & a cake. They also offer celiac, gluten free and vegan goodies.

Absolute hidden gem! Arguably one of the most authentic patisseries in Croatia. The staff were lovely, made us feel welcome and provided free tap water. The selection of desserts was incredible, at least 20 different cakes, gateaus, pastries and biscuits to choose from. They all looked beautifully made and authentic, some were more Croatian styled whilst others were what you would find in Vienna. Sadly I didn't try the coffee but they had a good choice available.

Very friendly service, great selection. Nice place to get your pastry, desserts, and espresso in the morning. Cute alley to sit and enjoy yourselves.

Originally here for the gelato and come back for drinks along the water. Only one white wine selection comes by the glass. Truffle fries are amazing with a sprinkle of cheese and extra truffle on the side. Delightful!

The best bar in Hvar! We had delicious fresh pizzas and lots of cocktails - highly recommend the espresso martinis, so tasty. Great value for money too- especially considering the prices in Hvar. We were served by Iva who was so friendly and attentive, plus she recommended some great things from the menu. A must visit if you are on the island.

The pizzas here were really good, they were fresh and came fast once ordered. The location is right in the port of Hvar, you can watch the boats from your table. I would definitely recommend trying the coffee shake too, it’s delicious.

This place is great! If you dine in, you choose your ice cream from the counter at the front and they put it in ice-cold glasses for you which makes for a refreshing treat. I recommend the cherry yoghurt or orange cheesecake flavours. Also the homemade strawberry lemonade was good if you like slightly tart things. Dreamy location so expensive at €16 for two ice creams and two drinks but worth it to shelter from the sun. Service was also really prompt.

One of the best dinners we had in Hvar! Staff are super friendly, the food was great, had a good atmosphere and the views over the waterfront are spot on! Would eat here again!

In June, my family and I visited this wonderful place, where I tried the most delicious ice cream. The owner is a very polite and kind person, friendly to customers. The counter where you can choose your ice cream flavor is interestingly decorated not just with a paper name, but also with what the ice cream is made from. I recommend this place for visiting. Definitely the most beautiful caffe in Jelsa, with the most delicious ice cream and very friendly staff. You can try different types of ice cream with them, and each one has a phenomenal taste. Their cakes are also highly recommended, with very good prices for a place like that. All recommendations.

Gelato was fantastic. Lots of options, including more sorbets than we usually see. But during our week there, we had geat cookie and snickers flavors a couple of times. 2 euros per scoop was extremely reasonable. Service was great too.

We have been trying new flavors everyday day, twice a day, for a week. Coconut and pistachio are amazing. Other flavors are average.

too expensive for fruit flavors not being good at all. they were too watery and tasted artificial. also I had lavender flavor which was basically just lemon with purple colorant? lol cream flavors were good though. also it’s the only ice cream place you’ll find open at night.

Absolutely fantastic gelato! Kind of shocked by the bad reviews - these flavor combinations were phenomenal and we went back a second time! We tried the lavender with lemon, and the dark chocolate with orange and both were great phenomenal. The best gelato flavors I’ve had!

compared to aroma in Stari Grad, pretty bad experience and bad service. the double scoop 7 euro was TINY compared to the other aroma store and the worker got upset when we wanted to try two flavours even though we all bought double scoops… ice cream is delish but the serving size and service was crazy.

Very tasty ice cream. Lemon and basil was really refreshing- especially on a hot day. It is pretty expensive though at €3.80 for a scoop- but that price is expected for the location.

They have so many flavours of ice cream, some vegan, it is difficult to choose. €3.80 for a small cone (or cup) is not bad for a touristy area and it was a generous portion.

7 euros for a two flavours cone that wasn’t even that good. Ice cream should be creamy i got sorbet instead it was completely frozen. You must be out of your mind.

Way better than the big chain gelato places—this spot feels way more unique and handmade. Pistachio cone edge was amazing—packed with flavor, super generous, and the cone was crispy with this yummy toasty finish. Banana is a total hidden gem—super smooth and full of real banana flavor. You don’t see that often! Apple pie was really interesting—like a soft apple cake with just a hint of cinnamon, really cozy. Chocolate was rich but still light and refreshing.

Fantastic ice cream, made in house. Several non-standard flavours . You can sample 2 or 3 before choosing. 3 80 Eur per small pot so not cheap but worth it, and you get a complimentary wafer :-)

Really unfriendly server, portion size was by far the poorest in all the places we've visited in Croatia traveling for a month, and we've tried a lot of ice cream! There was no prices visible and paid €14 for two tubs with 2 tiny scoops in each tub. I told the girl serving us that it was the smallest amount I'd received anywhere else and she just didn't care. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place

Very poor value for money, No prices posted on the menu for regular size - our mistake. Small is EUR 3.50. We expected a regular would be EUR 5.00. Actual price turned out to be EUR 7 dollars - the most expensive Gelato compared to Italy or the United States in Croatia. See receipt. My son got a pistachio cone, add another 3 for the cone so that is EUR 10. We paid EUR 34.50 for one small and 4 regular.

I’m giving this a 5 star because of the amazing customer service and of course the taste of the Ice cream. I wandered in here and ordered the Chocolate with hazelnut, the lady was so kind she refused to accept any money for it as she said they were closing. I was so surprised! I have never experienced this before. To top it off the ice cream was rich and creamy

Many vegan options For those who love raw vegan cake or praline. In the picture you can see the chocolate one. A nice place to stop, chrage the phone and have a sweet dessert. The team were pleasantly warn and friendly as well

Fantastic homemade ice cream, the goats milk and caramel in particular was wonderful.

Lemon pie, lemon pie, lemon pie… The lemon pie ice cream here was sooo delicious. I’m glad the only accept cash, otherwise i would’ve bought way too much…. Also, the pistachio ice cream here is incredible, one of the best pistachio ice creams we’ve ever had

The best gelato I’ve had in my life😭 I tried the pistachio and goat’s milk caramel. 이게 젤라또지… It was better than every gelato I had, even in Italy! The service was super friendly too

Vegan coffee shop with great drinks. A niche environment- but highly recommend.

I love smoothie in general and the smoothie here is delicious. I ordered the one with blueberries, bananas and more. (Sorry that I don't remember) the cafe is cute with 2 tables outside and some chairs inside. Next time I would love to try lemon pie which is popular.

What a SWEET find in the middle of Hvar Town! SWEET REPUBLIC HVAR is exactly what this town needed. And what a location, location, location! Start climbing the stairs up from the main square, heading towards the fortress and, there they are. A corner space which is absolute perfection. Love the outdoor seating on the old steps with cushions or barstools along the outer wall. Inside also offers barstools and counter space if the weather brings you indoors. Coffee is made with expertise by Marko & Mia. Also teas and iced tea infusions are a daily menu choice. Very good juices which should satisfy all who stop in with the wide variety of drink selections. Then the most yummy vegan (and non-vegan) desserts, breakfast bowls and smoothies made fresh daily. I love that they offer alternative plant based milks as I only use oat ‘milk’ in my lattes/coffee. I also have enjoyed the chia puddings, the juices (Detox is delicious!), the iced teas and on and on. Prices are incredibly fair. You will be surprised by the quality of the drinks and foods at such great price points. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We’ve stopped quite a few times during our month here on Hvar and we were always greeted with a smile. The owner Joško is also on site often and he and his staff make us feel like old friends! Do yourself a favor and go. You will find it to be a totally Sweet Republic!!

This is a real scam :( I was looking for bobba and for real is not bobba, the price is total y insane 6€ per this cup, artificial flavor very meeh drink. You can totally avoid it.

“Disappointing boba — watery and flavorless” I ordered a passion fruit boba with strawberry syrup and blueberry juice, but it didn’t taste like any of those flavors at all. It just tasted like water. For how expensive it was, it really wasn’t worth it. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for good boba tea.

Ripping tourists off! Rude bold guy at the till who won’t tell you the price accurately! It says £3.50 on the board, so you assume it is 3.50 for the cup he gives you. Only at the till you find out it is per 100grams!! He weighs the cups which would at least be about 300 grams for a cup. So without realising you have to pay nearly 10-15 euros for one ice cream!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! Biggest tourist scam I have ever been a part of And even more shocking customer service. The price was extortionate- 40 euros for three ice creams and the worst part is that they don’t tell you the price until it’s too late. After hearing the price we said we didn’t want them anymore and we will leave it but we were threatened by the sales guy. He was very rude calling us gypsies and wanted to call the police. He wouldn’t let us leave

Incredible gelato and top-notch service! The flavors were fresh and delicious,I had a scoop of pistachio and it was amazing. What really made the visit special was Cherry, one of the staff members. She was so friendly, patient, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, the ice cream didn’t live up to the hype. The cone was very small for the price, and the flavor was average at best. Definitely not worth it.

Salted caramel was good, white chocolate not bad but I didn't like the almonds in it. The structure could be better since they say it's gelato, should be thicker. Was nice, tasty, not a real gelato for sure, but yeah, good. Prices too high. 7 euros for 2 scoops.

The best ice cream i had in a long time, and i am big ice cream lover. I was looking for an ice cream in Stari grad and i saw a big line in front of this shop. So i said it must be good if there is a line and i waited. And tbe wait was so worth it. I dont even know how much was the ice cream, my girlfriend payed but it was worth every penny. Even tough i hate standing in lines i actually went back in to an even bigger line to get another ice cream from them. It was that good. I know they are a bit more expensive than others at Stari grad but this is an ice cream that you will remember. It is significantly better than your regular 2 euro per scoop ice cream elsewhere.

I had a fantastic experience at this gelato shop! The flavors are absolutely amazing rich, creamy, and packed with taste. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. I tried a few different flavors, and each one was better than the last. The staff was also super kind and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Still in shock after visiting this place ~ called PHAROS (ice cream shop), not S ~ I advise you to AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. Here is how our visit went: We ordered lemonade, double checked that it is made from actual lemons, and received some weird syrupy drink mixed with water (3€). Also ordered iced coffee with ice cream, which turned out to be hot coffee with melted ice cream scoop, nothing icy about it. And the price was 7€ (I would pay more for a good iced coffee, believe me, but this really did not resemble anything). When I (nicely) mentioned the hot coffee and fake lemonade situation to the waiter, he took the drinks from me, stormed off and then pretentiously told me to F*C* OFF. I f*c*ed off, of course, I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life. And neither does any of their guests.

The place was okay. My daughter enjoyed her dessert, and the ice cream was tasty, though clearly not homemade and nothing special. We wanted to order coffee, but at 11 PM they told us they didn’t have any. Ended up getting Nescafe instead — overpriced at 3 euros.

Very rude and unpolite staff, they refused our children entrance just because they had ice cream bought somewhere else..terrible business policy. We bought our ice cream on a different place because our kids didnt like it last time, too much water in it. I guess we know now why their shop was always empty and we hope it will stay that way

Very pleasant place, hidden from the first sight of tourists with really kind service, they let you taste the ice cream for free! Ice cream has pretty intense flavours, but still is tasty. Had to come for another one right after finishing the first one.

The Best Gelato & Kindest Staff in Jelsa! Aroma Gelato is a must-visit when you're in Jelsa! Not only is the gelato absolutely delicious — rich, creamy, and full of authentic flavor — but the whole experience is made even better by the incredibly friendly and kind staff. I tried the caramel with sea salt. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and they’re happy to offer samples if you can’t decide which is very likely — everything looks amazing! The shop is located right by the waterfront, making it the perfect place to take a break, relax, and enjoy your gelato with a view. The warmth and hospitality of the staff truly make you feel welcome. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Jelsa!

The best gelato in Jelsa! The shop is tucked away at the back of the plaza, but it’s worth the extra 60 seconds to walk there. The dark chocolate was so delicious even someone who doesn’t usually order chocolate adored it. All the flavors taste much better than the typical stuff… higher quality and more natural.

This is by far the best gelato in Jelsa. All the others on the riva are not gelato, just mass produced ice cream. Really good flavors and all are handmade. Great service too.
