Barock Café & Bar was such a cool find! I went during the day for a coffee and loved the vibe, but it really came alive at night. Went back with friends for drinks and there was even a fire show – such a fun surprise! Great atmosphere for both relaxing and socializing.

The brunch was bit disappointing,croissant was bit soggy, dried meat & ham was quite average, so as cheese, very small portion of fruit which was not very fresh. For all that people, they had one stall of toilet for female, the line was quite at certain point. I would not go back.

This is a really cozy coffee shop that I’m hoping to visit again! We had some ice cream here today and were so happy that we chose this café. The ice cream we got was the Potpourri, which is a plate of 6 different small scoops (unfortunately you cannot pick the flavors), and I highly recommend it. The café is on the pricier side (4.20 CHF for 1 scoop of ice cream), and unfortunately our waitress seemed very unmotivated and wasn’t the most friendly. Still, as mentioned, I plan on stopping by here again to try some of their cold coffees, and delicious-looking pastries and chocolate pralines :)

People in this place is not really nice. I went to buy a cake and I asked tp a woman if she could speak English, she said no with a really bad attitude. So I just indicated her what I wanted to buy. At the moment to pay she was laughing with someone else about me... I really like the food, but I am not buying anymore there. You can't laugh about your clients, is not professional...

I have not been a customer of the cafe but it looks like a lovely place to have a coffee and snack or some of the beautiful chocolates on display. I have met the master roaster on a number of occasions and he is very knowledgeable and friendly, always available to provide advice on coffee and equipment/techniques etc. I'm prefer light/medium light roasts for filter coffee so at the moment I am a big fan of Burtukaana Bombe #2 Natural from Ethiopia. Would highly recommend trying it out.
