1 ster is here more then enough. Staff/Owner is there just for the money, observed there a couple of times when visiting Ascona, Staff never smile. Ice cream: average taste Tables/Chairs: you are not allowed to eat your ice cream on certain chairs , they have literally different signs for this. (I Traveled the world but never seen this before) Better you go to Gelateria Pinocchio! There , they love their job, the 2 owners are always smiling and chatty , and they have terrific nice ice creams!

Ice creams are too sweet and the taste is overall not amazing - probably suitable for those who have an ice cream craving and need a sugar fix. If you are looking for good artisan ice cream, this isn’t it.

Good gelato but the owner / manager, small blond haired lady is RUDE, unwelcoming & frankly in the wrong job. I had just put down my ice cream cup & watched the jazz parade go by & she came right in my face to ask me what I wanted to drink. She insisted I order. When I showed her I had just had an ice cream 6 chf spent in her cafe she still got aggressive & told me to leave if I wasn’t having anything else. I had barely paused from my last mouthful. Loathe managers like this. If I remember now she was pretty rude last month as I sat on the “wrong terrace” with cushions on chairs - not the seats for plebs on the road! Put it down to a bad day but now I know she is rude, and should look for a different profession not hospitality!

The ice cream does not taste good and the service is very poor. I bought an icecream and a soft drink at the counter and sat at one of the tables. Then an old waitress came and sent me away, she said I could not sit at the table with an icecream in the cone. I pointed that I bought the ice cream here and also the soft drink, but still she did not let me sit there. I paid CHF 9.50 for 2 balls of ice cream and a coke in a gelateria but they did not let me sit at their own table to eat and drink there. Ridiculous and terrible service!

BEST GELATO IN ASCONA!!! Never had hazelnut gelato like it. Get the Sardinia special or chocolate sorbet & passionfruit sorbet. I have got ice cream from them every day since being in Ascona. We have been coming here for 20 years and it’s the best in the town!! Two lovely brothers run the business. They are a delight

High quality gelato, some flavours have swirls of the corresponding berry/fruit (e.g. blueberry, lemon) which makes for a really unique and flavourful ice cream. Worker could speak both German and Italian but was not super friendly. Unfortunately, they are skimpy with their scoop sizes, as seen in the picture, the cup is not near full, let alone overflowed. Having ordered the largest four scoop serving, I would have expected more. Because of the service and small serving, I give this place 4 out of 5 stars.

Hands down the best ice cream in town! The flavors are amazing, and every scoop is pure delight. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. Highly recommend!

This isn’t just ice cream… it’s flavour teleportation! 😋 One spoonful of pistachio and you’re in Sicily, nocciola takes you straight to Piedmont’s hazelnut groves, mango drops you into the tropics, and banana… well, banana just makes you grin. They were all scrumptiously delicious! I came for one cup and ended up with two. Next time, I’m bringing a bigger appetite.

Loved it so much, I had to go back 4 days in a row!! The best ice cream I have ever had… they have different flavors and the consistency is just perfect! Will definitely go back!

amazing quality gelato, one of the best we’ve had in switzerland! the blueberry cheesecake and pistachio cream was outstanding! highly recommended
