Nana Teresa's Bake Shop in Fernandina Beach offers a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of visiting grandma's cottage. The bakery serves an assortment of delectable treats such as coconut cream pie, apple fritters, lemon bars, and brownies. Their coffee is topped with fluffy milk foam and can be customized with a drizzle of chocolate syrup. In the morning, you can savor heavenly croissants or grab a pupcake for your dog during a walk.
Do yourself a favor and go to this bakery! We picked up a mini key lime pie and two other baked goods (can't remember the names; one was Italian and one English). Everything was absolutely fantastic. Wish we had bought more! Will be back the next time we're visiting Fernandina Beach.

Exceptional Service & World-Class Pastries – Nana Teresa’s & Papa Mark Deliver! I needed a special delivery for one of my favorite people on earth—my dear friend and colleague, Dr. Alexandra Lajoux, who happens to be a regular at Nana Teresa’s Bake Shop. Without hesitation, they put together a beautiful package and had it delivered within two hours. That kind of service is rare, but it speaks to the heart and soul behind this place. Papa Mark was absolutely lovely—he genuinely cares about the details and kept me updated with a play-by-play throughout the process. That level of thoughtfulness and personal touch made all the difference. As for the pastries? Simply outstanding. The cupcakes were not just beautiful but crafted with care, and the pastries could easily rival the best in France. You can always tell when people pour their passion into what they do, and that’s exactly what happens at Nana Teresa’s. Dr. Lajoux loved everything, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you want incredible baked goods made with love, this is the place. Highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our experience at Nana Teresa's Bake Shop! We picked up the key lime pie, and it was simply delicious—perfectly creamy, tangy, and topped with just the right amount of whipped cream. The crust was buttery and crisp, adding to the overall perfection. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making our visit even more enjoyable. Can't wait to come back and try more of their baked goods. Highly recommend for anyone craving a sweet treat!

Nana Teresa’s Bake Shop is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the cozy, welcoming charm of a small-town bakery paired with the smell of fresh-baked goodness. The selection is incredible — from cakes and cookies to pastries and specialty items, there’s something for everyone. Honestly, there were so many options that I couldn’t just pick one, and I’m glad I didn’t because everything I tried was delicious. What really stands out is not only the quality of the baked goods but also the attention to detail and care that clearly goes into everything they make. The shop itself is cute and inviting, the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer while you decide on your next sweet treat. If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit bakery. Whether you want a quick treat, something special to bring home, or even a gift for someone, Nana Teresa’s Bake Shop won’t disappoint. I’ll definitely be back!

Locally owned Nana's bakery is a place you must visit when you come to Fernandina Beach. They didn't have my favorite today (chocolate croissant), so I tried to fresh fruit tart. The combination of textures and flavors was absolute deliciousness! The almond croissant was everything you would need for an almond flavor blast in your mouth. It was flaky and crispy, and when you pulled it apart, it was soft - perfect creation! The service was just as sweet as the pastries. They also offer robust coffee, tea, hot chocolate, boba teas, blue bell ice cream, and custom-made cakes - everything reasonably priced. You can purchase to take-out or take a seat and enjoy the atmosphere. Come by & enjoy! Blessings!

A wonderful and convenient stop after dinner out in Fernandina! There was a huge selection of treats and everything we tried was delicious! They have boboa tea, which my teenage daughter was thrilled about and thought was great! The atmosphere is like a quaint little diner and still felt roomy enough to host a flow of patrons. Great place for a sweet stop!

My kids have birthdays only 3 days apart so I normally get them either mini cakes or one plain Jane bigger cake. This time I wanted to see if I could get them a double cake with each of their themes that they wanted and they did a amazing job so gorgeous. And I love red velvet got my kids to fully love red velvet and it's just amazing here. While I live here this will definitely be my go-to bake shop.

Seafood restaurant
Timoti's Seafood Shak is a popular spot on Amelia Island known for its fresh, wild-caught seafood and casual outdoor patio. Located in historic Fernandina, this simple shack offers a variety of sea-source fare including crab burgers, fish tacos, fried shrimp, and poke. Families will appreciate the on-site playground while enjoying their meals.
Quick and easy! No frills, walk up and look at the menu, then order. I had the T’s Wrap with blackened shrimp was great, that could be a daily eat! Also, I ordered the fired oyster basket (it’s my thing growing up in South Louisiana) and they were cook to perfection (not dry and too crispy)! The better half had the Tuna Poke and she was pleased. One teen had the Chopped Salad box and the other fried chicken fingers. Great job and we will be back. !
Christian D — Google review
Lunch was great! Fresh ingredients and large portions. We had the rice box with cauliflower rice and grilled fish and the chopped salad with grilled fish. My wife and I both thought our meals were very good! The dog friendly patio is what drew us in as we were traveling with our dog. Highly recommend!
Mike J — Google review
This is a great casual place to get delicious and simple seafood favorites. I'm in town with my wife and stepdaughter for the half marathon. We chose Timoti's based on some Google research. The only seating it outside, but there is cover in the event of rain. We all loved their hush puppies, cucumber salad and soup. Our sandwiches and plates were hearty and filling. I highly recommend trying this local spot if you're in the area.

We visit the island often from Maryland - we eat here several times each visit! Great food and service. The shrimp tacos are amazing & so are the fried green tomatoes. Casual friendly atmosphere that welcomes all including dogs & kiddos.

Found Timotis on the internet, reviews sounded good liked the pictures. We were sadly disappointed. Lobster roll was the absolutely worst I have had, I am not sure it was even lobster. Wife had grilled/blackened shrimp, just ok. I have to say the beer was COLD, which is good.
Edward W — Google review
This is THE place on Amelia for fried shrimp, amazing hush puppies. Poke Tuna is fantastic. Can get crowded but worth the wait.
Todd J — Google review
We came about 15 minutes before closing because friends were there and wanted us to come. It was very cold out and I didn’t want to be “that person” taking too long to order right before closing, so I asked how the New England clam chowder was, and I was told “very good” by the girl behind the counter, so I went for a bowl. My husband ordered the fried shrimp basket. I was disappointed they put my soup in a paper cup and put it on the tray while my husband’s food was cooking. I also didn’t realize it was outside seating only. My disappointment continued when I took off the lid of my now cooling soup and could see visually it was not remotely New England style clam chowder, but didn’t even have a chowder consistency. I just decided to just eat it anyway and was shocked how tasty it was! I ate every last drop enjoying every bite! No, it didn’t taste like New England clam chowder either, but there was a lot of fresh clam in it and none were chewy. It was an extremely tasty clam soup, for sure! My husband’s shrimp basket looked liked really nice sized shrimp, perfectly done. I didn’t try them, but he said they were fresh and delicious. The fries were possibly fresh cut fries, but good regardless. The staff were very friendly still checking on us even though it was after they were closed. I would definitely come back.
Dawn W — Google review
My family and I visited this place on August 22, 2024. We ordered the Shrimp Basket - Grilled, Poke Bowl, Rice Box - with Fried Fish, and Chicken Strips Basket. The food was excellent, the Ahi Tuna being my favorite as it was very buttery in texture and fresh. The service was also terrific! And it didn't take more than maybe 6 minutes for the food to come out. Really enjoyed this restaurant and would love to come back in the future!

Fantastic Fudge is a family-owned confectionery located on Centre Street, offering a delightful array of hand-dipped chocolates, caramel corn, and various flavors of fudge made on the premises. The shop also serves excellent ice cream and homemade waffle cones. Visitors can enjoy fast and friendly service while indulging in their sweet cravings.
My family and I visited on August 23, 2024. When we walked in, we were immediately hit with the smell of warm, fresh fudge. You could see them cooling and sculpting the fudge on one half of the shop. The shop also had coffee drinks and ice cream you could order, but we focused on the fudge and chocolates. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the menu for the chocolates. But we did get a random samplers box with a chunk of Oreo Fudge. It was wrapped in a box for us and the chocolates lasted maybe only a day because they were so good! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're a fan of sweets or if you're looking for a sweet treat to bring home to a friend!

Don't let the long line put you off. The line moves quick and the service is pretty fast. Big selection of ice cream and fudge. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Robert L — Google review
Fantastic Fudge definitely lives up to its name! When I visited, it wasn’t busy at all, which made the experience even more enjoyable. As soon as you walk through the door, you’re greeted with the sweet, irresistible smell of fudge — it instantly pulls you in.The fudge itself is unlike anything I’ve ever had before. It’s rich, creamy, and smooth, almost with the texture of Brie cheese — melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Each bite was decadent without being overly sweet, which made it hard to stop at just one piece. The shop has a charming, nostalgic feel to it, and the staff were welcoming and happy to answer questions. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to bring some home to share (or maybe not share!). If you’re a fudge lover — or even if you think you aren’t — Fantastic Fudge is worth the stop. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind treat.

One of the ways we put a distinctive "little touch" onto our guests' rental experience is we give them a bag of Fantastic Fudge's Chocolate Covered Popcorn in their welcome bag! With 90+ vacation rentals on Amelia Island, FL, our team at Destination Amelia Vacation Rentals welcomes thousands of guests per year, and we have always had such a great experience ordering and picking up from Fantastic Fudge. Our guests rave about their sweet treats, which is sometimes a deluxe box of chocolates too! Steve, Jaclyn, and the whole team are exceptional and we look forward to many more years partnering with Fantastic Fudge!

Delicious ! My two daughters have peanut allergies but the two gentleman working Wednesday night got new ice cream tubs and new scoopers for my daughters even though they had a line out the door. They were really helpful. The fudge and ice cream were the best

I love walking past the old storefront. They quaintly share and display through the front windows their beautiful fudge and sometimes show the process. I enjoy watching the engaging making. What is more related information? The fudge is good. 🍫 🧈🥛

Delicious ice cream and chocolate treats in the heart of downtown Fernandina Beach! It’s a very popular spot and the line was out the door on Saturday night, but well worth the wait. We tried the ice cream but the fudge bars, baked goods, and savory chocolate desserts looked delicious…we’ll give those a try next time!

DeNucci's is a family-owned ice cream shop in Fernandina Beach that offers a wide variety of frozen treats, including hand-dipped and soft serve ice creams, frozen yogurt, dole whip, frappes, malts, smoothies, shakes, and floats. Located in the center of the island, it provides indoor and outdoor seating for customers to enjoy their delicious desserts. In addition to ice cream, they also offer homemade fudge made fresh daily.
Cute little place with nice young ladies that were very helpful. They have a lot of great sounding flavors of hard ice cream, vanilla or chocolate soft serve, and pineapple or raspberry dole whip (which can be swirled). I tasted chocolate raspberry truffle and it was really amazing, but went with peach Melba. This ice cream is smooth and creamy as well as delicious. There are plenty of large chunks of peaches throughout and lovely swirls of raspberry. I didn’t want too much, so I was going to get kids size, but figured a single couldn’t be too bad…it’s huge! My husband got what he always got from Carvel up north - soft serve chocolate with wet walnuts and was very happy with it. He said even the soft serve is very smooth and creamy. Fantastic!

A Monument to Indulgence — The Ice Cream Experience That Redefined Dessert There are moments in life when language feels almost too small to hold the enormity of an experience — moments that deserve not just to be remembered but enshrined. Our visit to this ice cream shop was one of those moments. It began innocently enough: a casual family outing, the kind we’ve taken countless times. But what we encountered was far from routine — it was legendary. My wife and I ordered a banana split, expecting something nostalgic, comforting, familiar. What we received was a frozen colossus, a mountain of indulgence worthy of myth. Three massive scoops of hand-crafted perfection — each more luxuriously creamy and intensely flavored than the last — nestled between golden banana halves so ripe and sweet they nearly melted in the mouth. Rivers of hot fudge, caramel, and strawberry sauce cascaded like edible artwork over peaks of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, crowned with clouds of whipped cream and the obligatory cherry, defiant atop its dairy throne. We couldn’t finish it. We tried. But it was like battling a beautiful, benevolent monster — one that overwhelmed us with joy and cream and the sheer physics-defying grandeur of its scale. It was less a dessert and more a chapter in an epic poem. And then there was our daughter’s raspberry ice cream cup. One flavor. One scoop. And yet, it stood like a monument — nearly the size of a softball, bold and unapologetically bright. The flavor burst forth with a clarity and richness that could only come from real fruit and craftsmanship bordering on sorcery. She was halfway through it before she said a word, and when she did, all she could say was, “This is the best ice cream in the whole world.” We had no arguments. The shop itself exudes warmth and character. The staff don’t just scoop — they curate. Each interaction felt like part of a larger tradition, a celebration of dessert taken seriously and served generously. There was laughter, chatter, the hum of contentment all around — but also a kind of reverent silence from patrons mid-bite, lost in their own private bliss. If Michelin gave stars for soul, this place would have a galaxy. If critics seek authenticity, generosity, and flavor that rewires your understanding of ice cream, they’ll find it here — scooped high, wrapped in smiles, and served in bowls too full to finish but too good not to try. Come hungry. Come happy. Come ready to leave changed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A dessert pilgrimage worth every mile.
Adam B — Google review
The staff were very proud of their large scoop sizes and advised us to order smalls rather than mediums, which was good advice. It seemed odd to us that especially with the large scoops, splitting scoops wasn't allowed- so you had to get a small and only one flavor. The ice cream itself was okay. Not good enough to go back for another visit in the future to try different flavors.
Charity D — Google review
I might be the only person to feel this way… but I don’t need more ice cream than I ask for. I ordered one scoop and was handed what can only be described as a dairy avalanche. I asked for a cup because there was no way I was managing that on a tiny sugar cone. They gave me their biggest cup—like, the kind you’d use for soup—and the ice cream was still spilling over. Truthfully a waste on the businesses part as I threw away an untouched cone, and a full scoop and a half. And in that moment, I understood why America has an obesity problem. 🫠
Kelsey S — Google review
Excellent. 👍🏼💯👌🏼 They have 15-16 regular ice cream flavors and a few soft serve as well. I had the banana split; the Garbage Can flavor was my favorite. There are 3 tables inside; one 4-top and 2 2-tops. There is also a high chair. Outside there are four picnic tables. Two or three of them have umbrellas. So many different kinds of awesome sundaes and other tests. Lovely place; better than the ice cream shops downtown.
Frankie M — Google review
An absolute must-visit for anyone craving a sweet treat in Fernandina Beach. I can't recommend their Apple Pie ice cream enough—it's truly delicious and tastes just like a homemade pie. The soft serve itself is incredibly creamy, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Beyond the amazing ice cream, the experience is wonderful. The service is exceptionally friendly, and the staff makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. There's also a cute little outdoor seating area where you can relax and enjoy your dessert, which adds to the charming, classic ice cream shop atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to stop for a refreshing break on a hot day.

We tried the coconut with chocolate almond pieces, the black cherry, and the lemon sorbet. Nice staff and reasonable prices. Our only complaint was that the lemon sorbet was too sweet. But the black cherry--to die for!

Um not much to rate here. When you have a competitor just a few doors down from you it’s important to be ready for any and all business that walks thru the door. We got there and were greeted by a staff that couldn’t care less. Ordered one flavor and were told they were out of that flavor. Next flavor, same result followed by the statement…”if there’s a lid on it we are out of that flavor.” Wish I grabbed a photo because 50% of the flavors were covered. Needless to say we walked out, took a few more steps down the street and everyone in our large group got the flavor they wanted from a friendly staff.

We've been going to Island Time since they opened and it's always been a family favorite. Its disappointing to see all the changes they've made. There's no more soft serve machines other than dole whip thats served from the back of the house. The toppings have dwindled down to a few remaining options on the wall and you're limited to selecting two per ice cream. The rewards system is gone, so all the points we've collected over the years are lost. And what really caught us off guard was the hand written sign at the register that said 4% processing fee on all card transactions. Regretfully, we'll no longer be going to our once favorite stop on the island.

Went with my daughter, as my daughter was serviced the cashier who was not doing the scoops was rushing me to order! Only because my daughter had her scoops already did I pay for it but I left without anything as she made me feel unwanted and as I being too slow for her this was at 4:20ish. For those exploring Amelia Island, The Decantery is a must-visit cocktail lounge that promises a delightful experience. Nestled next to the Palace Saloon, this sophisticated venue exudes an old Hollywood charm with its plush velvet couches and vintage mirrors. Guests can indulge in an impressive selection of rare wines, craft cocktails, and unique beers while savoring decadent desserts like beautifully layered cakes displayed at the entrance.
Friendly people with an opulent urban-chic atmosphere and a tremendous selection of wine! We recently stopped in for a coffee and quick bite for breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches were precooked and waiting in a small display case. If you get there later in the morning, your options are limited to what is remaining after the early morning crowd has already deleted most of the sandwiches. The coffee was delicious and prepared by a friendly person behind the counter who brought our beverages to us as we relaxed in their comfortable chairs. It was a great place to sip good coffee, enjoy a great conversation, and get our minds right before continuing our day. Plus, I'm sure if you overindulged on their mixed drinks and amazing wine selection the night before, why not come back and enjoy an Irish coffee while you recover. 😁

Decantery Café has a relaxed vibe — a nice spot to sit and chat or get some work done. They offer an interesting selection of dessert, wines, drinks, and coffee, which makes it a unique stop in the area. I ordered a latte with oat milk, and while it was okay, it didn’t justify the $7.25 price tag. The coffee mug felt cheap, and the latte art and presentation could definitely be improved — a drink at that price should be served in a wider cup with some care. That said, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting.

Great choice for a rainy nights dinner. I had the grilled tuna; it was amazing. Fun, lively bar in historic district. I would come back. Thank you. 🌻

As a local Amelia Island resident, I consider The Decantery one of Fernandina Beach’s true gems. It’s the perfect place to indulge in a glass of fine wine or champagne while sharing beautifully crafted desserts with a few close friends. The atmosphere is upscale yet inviting — softly lit, elegant, and ideal for relaxed conversation. Their wine list is exceptional, featuring thoughtful selections and knowledgeable staff who always offer impeccable recommendations. Every detail feels intentional, from the presentation of each dessert to the quality of the service. It’s not an inexpensive stop, nor should it be — The Decantery delivers an experience defined by refinement, warmth, and indulgence. Whether for a quiet evening out or a small gathering with friends, it remains one of the island’s most distinguished spots.

Local recommended the place. Waited 15 minutes for service. If you’re at the bar, they will give you service. If you’re out of eye sight, be prepared to wait. People walked by us 4 times before acknowledging us. People next to us had to ask for service twice. Good vibe, but service doesn’t match the vibe. Big disappointment.

The food was great I had the veggie burger it was seasoned all the way through I added cheese. It was delicious. The potato salad was great too. I just wish I had more of the potatoes salad....Umm delicious.😁 My mother had their Fish sandwich she also like. The fish sandwich was so big with fruit and mixed greens on top and a little spice. This is a great place to eat and great service we'll definitely go back I'm from out of town and I'm still thinking about it. A+

I took a star for not honoring Combat Veterans with a 10% discount. The service and food are excellent off the main street. The hamburger is a great choice here and ask for the mixed fries (sweet and regular). I had the house salad with blackened scallop add-on and that was delicious. Their chili feels very home cooked ( great flavor with natural ingredients). I imagine with a full crowd indoor would be loud.

Great food and great service. I had the mahi sandwich which is super flavorful. The potato salad and Cole slaw are also top notch. Definitely will be returning.

2025 update: Unfortunately, the owner is on the city council and has chosen to support paid parking for all of downtown. He owns multiple downtown restaurants (Duck Pinz, Baba’s, the Irish Pub, Gregor MacGregor's mini golf, Karibo, and others) and while the food and atmosphere is great, it is difficult to support establishments owned by a person actively working against the interests of his voters. --- When out-of-towners ask me for a food recommendation, Karibo is my #1 recommendation. Karibo focuses on a tight, dedicated menu, but still has a little something for everyone. Dinner options are well-plated, well-seasoned, and contain fresh ingredients. If you aren’t in the mood for a larger dinner like grouper, scallops, or Korean BBQ Ribs, try a fresh salad, or sandwich options like, a Brie’zy Day (Honey Ham, Brie, Cranberry Relish) or a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. A table favorite is the Spicy Thai Noodles (served cold, and perfect for the hot weather!)

Enjoyed a delightful lunch of duck tacos outside in the shade. Solid service and really enjoyed the whole experience. Looking forward to coming back sometime!

This is one of our absolute favorite places to eat!! Whether you dine outside or inside the atmosphere is fun & lively but not so loud that you can't enjoy your company. We always order the Mahi sandwich. I recommend half sweet potato, half regular fries & a side of watermelon. They also make an amazing strawberry margarita. It's not always on the menu, but you can ask for them to make it. The food, atmosphere & service are always wonderful. You can't go wrong if you're looking for a delicious place to eat, that's always clean with great service!

Wow!! Amazing food and great service. I’ll preface this review by saying I wish I would’ve gotten more pictures of the food. But it looked so good we had to dig in. 😂 I got the Philly and my husband got the calypso chicken. Let me tell you, so good! Also—I don’t know her name but our server was very attentive and wonderful. The overall vibe here is very chill and relaxed. This is a popular place so we did have to wait around 20 minutes or so but that seemed to fly by. Very much enjoyed it and highly recommend.

1928 Cuban Bistro in Fernandina Beach is a vibrant and flavorful restaurant that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Cuba. The bistro, founded by owner Rebecca Gonzalez as a tribute to her grandparents, offers freshly prepared Cuban dishes with a modern twist. The ambiance is described as minimalist yet classy, providing a comfortable setting for guests to enjoy their meals. With its authentic Cuban recipes infused with contemporary flair, 1928 Cuban Bistro promises an exciting and delicious dining experience.
I visited 1928 Cuban Bistro twice during my trip to Amelia Island, and it was a delightful experience both times. They offer a wide range of authentic Cuban items, which made it hard to choose! The yuca fries and tostones were incredibly fresh and paired perfectly with their flavorful sauce. I also tried the veggie empanadas with rice and beans, and they were packed with amazing flavor. The Cuban latte was a nice touch, and the sweet plantains had just the right balance of sweetness. Feee parking , ample sitting for dine in and very helpful staff. It’s a must-visit spot, especially for their snack items—highly recommended!

Where do I start… The coffee? Exceptional—absolutely perfect! We ordered the La Flaca and La Gordita avocado toasts, and they were literally the BEST we’ve ever had. Breakfast or brunch here is an absolute must. The service is impeccable, and the staff is the sweetest ever. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this gem!

AMAZING! The empanadas are to DIE for — both savory and sweet. They’re juicy, flavorful, and filled to the brim! Absolutely delicious & perfectly cocked!! Don’t sleep on 1928

Came in with my husband and toddler and we had a great experience. We are from the area and haven’t tried out this place. So glad we did! I got the rice plate with ropa vieja. So tasty and tender. Great service as well. Very kind and greeted immediately. Will be back and would recommend!

Visited with my wife and son. Staff were friendly. My son and I had the Cuban and Medianoche sandwiches - they were both pretty standard for Cubano sandwiches. My wife ordered a salad but I had to ask about it because it wasn't brought to the table. After I asked about it, they admitted they forgot to make it. When they finally brought it, it was missing the eggs. When I asked about the eggs, I was told they were out of eggs. My son really liked the guava and cream cheese pastry. While I was disappointed over the salad, I would give them another chance as perhaps this was just an off day for them.

Ah, 1928 Cuban Bistro in Fernandina Beach—now that was a flavorful joyride straight to Havana without needing a passport! Dining there with Randy Dye and his lovely wife Susan was like being part of a Hemingway novel, only with better company and better ropa vieja. The cafecito hit like a poetic jab of jet fuel (in the best way), and the pastelitos? Muy delicioso. Sharing stories, laughter, and empanadas with Randy and Susan made it a truly memorable meal with great friends in a warm, nostalgic setting. A little taste of Cuba, a whole lot of heart for my wife Stormy's birthday!

Incredible in every aspect. Fresh flavorful food, great staff and environment. I highly recommend anyone in the area stop in for at least a pastry and coffee. Even if not in the area it's worth a trip for Cuban food lovers.
Austen B — Google review
We had the Cuban sandwich spicy and the Elena Ruth sandwich with Brie cheese added. The Cuban sandwich was very flavorful, especially compared to other Cuban sandwiches we've had in the area that were dry and bland. The Cuban sandwich here was moist, savory, and had a little bit of flare to it as we ordered it spicy style. The Elena Ruth sandwich was very unique and very sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the sandwich you must try for sure! The coffee was good and tasted strong. The tres leches was extremely moist and even had a little bit of milk leftover at the bottom of the bowl. If you like you tres leches very moist, then you must give one of these desserts a try. The people working the counter were nice and helpful.

Indulge in their breakfast empanadas and fluffy scrambled eggs paired with a steaming cup of coffee to kickstart your day. For lunch, savor authentic Cuban sandwiches and pastries made with fresh, slow-roasted meats cooked in-house.
Authentic Cuban fare by a Cuban service team. 5 stars for the warm welcome, for the delicious hot food as well as coffee, and especially for the ambiance. It is a small establishment with both indoor and outdoor seating. Well decorated interior with boho vibes. I absolutely love empanadas; I ordered 3, one of chicken, beef and spinach. My son was excited about the Cuban sandwich. Both were served piping hot as expected. We were given free desert, which was incredibly delicious We tried the Cuban soda and coffee, my husband and I gave the service lady a thumbs up.

Staff were very friendly here. Indoor seating is very limited. The outdoor seating is more plentiful. Everyone enjoyed their meal. A couple of us had pressed cuban sandwiches. They were definitely very good, but not necessarily the best I have ever had. Drinks are basically cans or bottles unless you get a custom drink. Would recommend as it was authentic Cuban food. The black beans were stated to be a family recipe.

This place is a hidden gem in Fernandina Beach! The pork is super tasty, black beans are a family recipe, and itshowed. The cuban sandwich was super tasty. The coffee, food, & service was fantastic! We were immediately greeted by a very friendly employee, and our order was brought out quickly. The coffee was amazing, as was the food (churros, black beans & rice). My only (minor) complaint is that the coffee was served in styrofoam cups. Otherwise, well worth the visit!

Amazing breakfast! I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! I got a spicy crepe for breakfast and was unsure how I would like it. It was fantastic! I also loved how the restaurant is inside a small converted home. Next time, weather permitting, I want to sit outside. Their patio was beautiful! And did you see the awesome car mug!?!

We were so pleased with our meal here. The restaurant is smaller with a large patio covered with beautiful mature trees. Our server was friendly and food didn't take long. The crepes were delicious! I had the cream cheese crepe while my husband had the savory crepe with egg. Mimosas were an added bonus. We will make the hour drive to eat here again!

Went here for a fun, fast breakfast before heading to the beach around opening time. It wasn’t too crowded, and we were able to choose between indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered some specialty coffee (Arba - pictured below) and crepes (Honey and Cheese, Banana’s Foster). TO DIE FOR. We also were able to read Amy’s story on the back of the menu. We love to support local, and will be going back!

The service was wonderful! The waitress was smiling and went over her favorite things on the menu. Update 4/10/22 Came by for brunch today. Sad to say, it is closed down (except by invite?) Closed sign displayed and 'Business For Sale' sign prominently displayed. Bummer!! Update: 10/19/21 We've been back several times since this earlier post/review. Still a favorite spot. Trying something different each time and have enjoyed everything. Staff are wonderful as is the atmosphere and the food. What else does one need? Glad we came here this morning. ("Good things come to those who wait") - in line. This place is quite popular, and for good reason. Now that things are opening up we find ourselves getting out more. The Patio Place is a quaint bistro serving crepes as the primary fare. Today, one of the specials was blackened wahoo with grilled peach, strawberries, arugula, feta cheese, stone ground grits with a balsamic sauce - Fish and Grits! Delicious. I had the 'Patio Plate', two eggs, choice of bacon or local sausage (WOW!), hash brown potatoes, and a sweet crepe. Food was delicious. We ordered dessert crepes too. Service was very good. Employees wore masks and social distanced. Rachael was our wait person and was very delightful. Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

The best dining experience on the entire island. The Patio Place is the perfect mix of classical foodie, unique dining and down home service. The menu is a 5 star adventure on its own. Fortunately it is surpassed by the relax garden atmosphere and the friendly, unparalleled service provided by the entire team. This venue is a must stop for brunch every time we are in town. Chef Amy and her team are an Amelia island treasure.

In town today for the taste of Amelia food crawl our last stop patio Place Bistro should have been our first. This delightful little spot was serving up some amazing beef with Savory chimichurri sauce with tender beef wrapped in a sweet crepe. These were delightful little morsels that we went back and asked for more even though it was only one to a customer. The staff is happy to accommodate us. If you have not been to this spot I highly recommend it. We finished up with two glasses of wine and two of these little morsels a piece for total of 6 thank you guys you were great

I recently visited this coffee shop, and it was an absolute delight! The place is super cute, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The cleanliness is top-notch, which makes it even more enjoyable to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. The coffee itself is excellent, with a good variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes. Whether you prefer something strong and bold or smooth and mellow, they have something for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised by the range of choices. Another bonus is that they also offer ice cream, which is perfect for those warm days or when you're just in the mood for a sweet treat. It's a unique touch that sets this coffee shop apart from others. Overall, it's a great spot to unwind, enjoy good coffee, and treat yourself to something sweet. Highly recommended!

Great coffee! Awesome atmosphere too. The iced mochas are strong and good!
Seth W — Google review
This is an absolute gem of a coffee shop. The staff here are so friendly and the coffee is amazing. I say this wholeheartedly because it's so hard to find cafés that make a strong Americano without charging extra for more expresso shots. Many cafes I've been to lately have missed the mark on this, or the coffee tends to be too acidic, but not here at Amelia Island coffee. They make a strong, delicious, tasting Americano right from the get-go! If I lived in this area, this would be my regular morning hangout. I can not comment on the food options as I didn't have any. However, everything looked good in presentation. If I hadn't already eaten, I so would have bought a breakfast sandwich from here without question. They are fairly busy here. However, there's plenty of seating inside and outside, and there's even a little public sitting area right beside here that is quite nice as well. Loved the laid-back tropical setting of the beautiful dropback mural displayed at the back. It's definitely a great choice for keeping the theme relative to Florida. 😊

Cute coffee shop. The iced coffee was very good! Great strong flavor but not bitter like starbucks coffee. However, it is a little pricey though but worth the splurge if you're on vacation. The banana bread was also very good. It was moist and not too sweet. Seating area was clean and spacious. Would definitely come back.

Harris Teeter is a large supermarket chain known for its deli and bakery departments, as well as health and beauty aids. The store offers the freshest and highest-quality meats, seafood, and produce. It also features a Fresh Foods Market with deli items, baked goods, and chef-prepared meals for entertaining. Some customers have noted the store's clean upscale appearance but have also mentioned issues with the hot bar food quality at certain times.
This is the only one in Florida per Google. And I love Harris teeter. I drove 2 hours to this location and I would be crazy to do it again. But I love their variations of selections. It would be great to place one in Gainesville (hint hint). Wishful thinking though! But Harris Teeter is a great grocery store. Consider it!

Harris Teeter has its own unique products. I really enjoy going shopping there. I live about 30-35 miles away. I wish there was one closer to me. I enjoy there store brand products. There products are high quality products. There is a Starbucks inside the grocery store. They have a prime rib meal to take home on Thursdays for right around $20. Thursday is also senior day which can save you 5% , but you have to be a VIC member and at least 60 yrs of age. They make excellent subs and have a pizza day on Mondays. Pizza is under $10 for a big pizza pie. They have a little bar called Ale & Vine for wine and beer. Your near the beach for a picnic and a bunch of unique shops around Harris Teeter.

Harris Teeter – Gate is a fantastic store to shop at. I hadn’t visited this chain in over 20 years, but returning in 2025 was a pleasant surprise. It’s amazing to see how much they’ve grown since I last shopped there in the early 2000s. The store layout is excellent—well-organized and easy to navigate. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience even better. I appreciated the smooth and simple checkout process, ample parking, and the wide variety of products available. I also noticed they carry many organic items under the same brand as Kroger, which was a great find. Overall, it was a much better experience than shopping at Publix.

The Wedding Cake of Our Dreams – Pure Magic! We cannot thank Breakable Hearts LLC enough for creating the most stunning, delicious, and unforgettable wedding cake we could have ever imagined. Every step of the process was thoughtful, creative, and completely personalized. On our big day, the cake truly stole the show. Guests are still talking about it – not just how beautiful it was (seriously, it looked like a piece of art), but how each layer had its own incredible flavor and texture. The balance of sweetness, the richness of the fillings (we got the Caramel Biscoff, DELICIOUS!) , and the moistness of the sponge were just perfect. The design perfectly matched our theme – elegant, romantic, and timeless. We also added our two adopted cats to include them on our special day! It was clear the team put so much love and care into every detail. If you’re looking for a bakery that will go above and beyond to make your wedding cake as special as your day, look no further. Breakable Hearts LLC is a dream come true. We’re forever grateful!

We and our guests loved all the desserts. They were beautifully presented and loved all the array of choices we had to provide to our guests. My dad raved about our wedding cake and enjoyed it for almost 2 weeks after the wedding.

Breakable hearts took our visions and inspiration pictures and turned them into reality. My wedding cake was better than I could imagine and my husbands Grooms cake in his words “they nailed this!!” The flavor was delicious, the decor was detailed. The communication was clear and no confusion.

Our wedding cake was an absolute dream! We chose a coconut passion fruit flavor, and it tasted just as incredible as it looked. The balance of flavors was perfect—light, tropical, and just the right amount of sweetness. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about it, and we received so many compliments throughout the night. Not only was it delicious, but the presentation was stunning. If you’re looking for a cake that wows in both taste and appearance, I highly recommend this one!

Breakable Hearts has some of the best and most unique dessert offerings in the Fernandina Beach area. The variety of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, macarons, and other sweets is beyond your run-of-the-mill strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. Pistachio cookies, chocolate tirimisu, Dubai chocolate, and Biscoff cheesecake, just to name a few. And if you have a special occasion coming up, they are the one to go to for your cake! Just check out their photos on Facebook.

We ordered a themed cake in cup treats for our son's birthday. They were delicious and beautifully made! Be sure to order weeks ahead of time and to also check their prices. I would have liked to have more of them decorated to the theme, but I understand I did not give them enough time to prepare for that, only ordering a week in advance. They are expensive but worth the cost! Tip for the company- have your prices displayed in house where It's easily seen. I was not aware of the cost until I had waited 10 minutes doing an order intake and was checking out.

Highly recommend for any wedding desserts and cake! The team was so easy to coordinate with and everything was so delicious!! The tarts were my Husband and my favorites of the lil treats:)

Thirteen Dessert Bar is a charming and elegant bakery that offers a luxurious selection of sweet treats, specializing in high-quality pastries made with gluten-free ingredients. Housed in a beautifully restored historical cottage adorned with crystal chandeliers and hand-painted murals, the shop boasts an array of exquisite desserts displayed in sparkling pastry cases. Customers rave about the delectable snickers cheesecake and the irresistible chocolate peanut butter cupcakes.
I cannot recommend Thirteen bakery highly enough! After several visits, I can easily say that everything I’ve tried from the cheesecake to the cookies is very delicious! The desserts are fresh and so tasty! On top of that, they are gluten free. The bakery itself is adorable and immaculate. I was immediately greeted and made to feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back! If you haven’t gone to this charming bakery yet, you definitely should!

One of the most amazing places. The decor is spot on mix of fine line meets architecture class. Vintage and charming character is the perfect backdrop to the most amazing baked goods I’ve ever had! And I am not even gluten intolerant. Tina , master baker (confectionery sorceress ) took my subtle mention of my likes and created the most amazing cupcake I’ve lad my lips on. ( I don’t miss many meals either , Trust this big girl) moist Lemon cupcake with raspberry filling and OMG REAL BUTTERCREAM ICING on top. To die for. Thank you for making this the highlight of my birthday. You are my go to for the rest of days.
Tina Q — Google review
Features a variety of cheesecakes, cookies, cupcakes, and cake. Lady who owns the shop is very nice and the inside is small but well decorated. There is one table you can sit at if you want to eat there. The prices were as expected (as of 12/23 a slice of cheesecake is $8.50) the cookies were very good as well. There seems to be a shop dog that is allowed to Rome free and was seen in the front and back of the shop. But he seems to be a hypoallergenic breed. The dog is friendly and didn’t come directly up to me .

Came in with my husband for his birthday to treat him. The owner is so kind and knowledgeable about everything gluten free. The desserts were absolutely amazing and you genuinely couldn’t even tell they were gluten. Made my husband’s (who is a huge sweet tooth) whole day as we are from a small town with no gluten free options and are both celiac. Super grateful for this bakery and we will definitely be returning.
Skye M — Google review
This place is absolutely amazing! Saw this bakery by chance after attending the shrimp festival, it was the perfect conclusion to a long hot day. The snickers cheesecake is to die for! The chocolate, peanut butter cupcakes are simply amazing as well! I highly recommend everyone to stop at this cute bakery. The owner is so sweet and welcomes you with open arms. I will be returning my next visit to Fernandina Beach. We are eating a cupcake in the Jacksonville airport on the way home!!

Yall. This place is an absolute gem and possibly my favorite bakery I’ve ever visited. The owner, Tina, you can tell has so much passion about the desserts and you can so taste that. The cookies (I had chocolate chip and butterscotch toffee) were perfect in every single way. Perfect softness. Perfect chewyness. They were so good.. and the cheesecake, I had bourbon peach but I believe they change daily. I told Tina I was going to have one bite and then continue shopping and I sat there and ate the entire thing. And then I ordered another to go. Being gluten intolerant, I hardly get the yummy treats everyone else gets. I was SO happy to find Thirteen. Do not skip out on Thirteen. This place is incredible.
Brooke A — Google review
What a gem of a place! We were traveling through and thoroughly enjoyed our time here at the end of a long drive. My daughter is celiac and it was such a treat for her to go into an entirely gluten free bakery. We all loved our treats- highly recommend whether you are GF or not but highly recommend supporting this business if you are GF. To top it off the owner is incredibly kind and makes you feel like you belong the instant you walk in.
Heather C — Google review
I have traveled all over the east coast looking for amazing gluten free treats and hands down have found the best at Thirteen! It is beautifully decorated down to the stickers that go on the packages. I have ordered a few custom cakes and have been delighted each time. Everything is simply delicious but the cheesecake is to die for!!! I will be back time and time again for my weekly fix.

Peterbrooke Chocolatier Amelia Island is a local chocolatier known for its beach-themed chocolates and famous chocolate-covered popcorn. They offer a variety of hand-dipped items such as fruit, pretzels, and cookies, all made with high-quality chocolate. It's the perfect place to grab a quick dessert on the go or pick up a special gift box for any occasion.
Heaven!! Would love to say I have a favorite but everything is so good. I do favor the chocolate covered popcorn, chocolate covered chips and the Oreos. This location caters to the Fernandina Beach theme where you can find seashells and sand dollars made of chocolate. Lots of great gift ideas for the chocolate lovers in your life. Have a football fanatic? They have a chocolate football filled with goodies inside. This location also offers a fabulous chocolate kid camp during the summer!!

Im glad this place is here. My go to destination for Valentines day when I need to get something the day before Valentines Day. My walet is sad when I leave but im so panicked I would pay anything for that delicious chocolate covered popcorn basket. Fortunately they are never too picked over even on their busiest holiday.

I usually can't eat chocolate because the additives in cheaper chocolate hurts my teeth, but the chocolate here is so pure and amazing that I can just let it melt in my mouth and I have no tooth sensitivity issues. The employees are pretty awesome too.

Peterbrooke Chocolatier Amelia Island prepared beautifully packaged "sweet" goody bags for an event. They always go above and beyond our expectations! Very nice store and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Thank you Peterbrooke!
Cynthia W — Google review
Peterbrook is a local chain, but their chocolate is very tasty. They have a good assortment of gift ideas and gelato to enjoy. The staff are friendly and helpful and there are samples out which is always a good thing. Unfortunately the chocolate is not fair trade or ethically sourced, but that is a hard thing to find in this scale. Stop in during holiday seasons for their special baskets and gifts.
Drew W — Google review
Incredibly rude staff. Yelling at children for touching, not disturbing, a display of cheap teddy bears while they are buying $40 worth of candy. This place is super expensive and rude. Stay away
Richard B — Google review
Had some time to kill so decided to go in and see what they have. The place was desolate and after a good look I could see why. I have bought some very good chocolate from some of the outlet stores in other areas and I could by a whole shopping bag full there for what just a few pieces cost here at Peterbrookes. The thing is the chocolate isn't really any better than what I got for a fraction of the cost at other stores

Mellow Yellow is a delightful frozen yogurt haven nestled within the surf-themed Natural Slice pizza shop at Amelia Island. With an impressive array of nine refreshing flavors and a plethora of toppings, it invites you to create your own froyo masterpiece. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for families and friends alike. Guests rave about the friendly staff who enhance the experience with their humor and kindness.
What an Islandly place! So cool. I had no idea we had a fro yo place at the Omni. This one is worth the visit. The young men were all so polite, it's clean plus the fro yo was Yum Me! They have 3 dairy free, lactose free ( yes same thing; )) 3 different flavors to choose from. Many regular flavors to choose from plus many toppings. Oh side note it's weigh & pay, you will find the cups next to the flavor fro yo : D I gave it 4 stars on food bc I haven't tried the pizza yet but it looked👀Gooood.
RuthAnna N — Google review
Cute little Fro-Yo dessert bar location in the shoppes at Omni Resorts on Amelia Island. There were about 6-8 fro-yo flavor options to choose from. There were two separate sections for add-on options that include candy, chocolate, fudge, caramel, etc. Inside and outdoor seating available. Attached to a pizza parlor that also has some game machines. Kids will enjoy a break here.
Jennifer H — Google review
We have LOVED this place in the past, but we have tried it probably 6-8 times over the last month and it’s always struggling. Ice cream flavors out for over a month. One time they had no chocolate or vanilla which both seem pretty critical. The toppings are usually amazing but the whole month it’s been hit and miss. Out of various toppings and lasts for days. It just seems to be a complete after thought to the pizza service and it’s so sad to see a place with such potential fall to the wayside like this :/. Really hoping someone will step up and get it back on track!

Located inside of the Ritz this spot has it all! Great coffee, pastries, cold drinks, deli like food and green juice that has to have bad stuff in it because it tastes far too good for just a healthy juice. Awesome service that learned your name and drink. A morning highlight during my stay.

This fast food restaurant features classic burgers, fries, and ice cream. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. The blizzard they served was delicious.
I moved to America a year ago, and a friend recommended I try a Blizzard from Dairy Queen in Fernandina on Amelia Island. I decided to give it a try for the first time, and I was fascinated by the experience! What really caught my attention was how they serve the Blizzard upside down in the cup to show how rock-solid it is—it definitely doesn’t fall out! It was a hot day when I visited, so the Blizzard was the perfect treat. I ordered the Snickers Blizzard, which was incredibly sweet, filling, and absolutely delicious. The place was pretty busy, so it took a bit of time to get my order, but it was well worth the wait. Once I went indoors, the ice cream started melting quickly, so I had to eat it fast before it turned into a liquid milkshake! I’d definitely recommend trying a Blizzard from Dairy Queen, especially on a hot beach day. It’s a must-try dessert if you're in the area!
Yonden F — Google review
It had been awhile for me to have eaten chain food. But after arriving to Amelia Island later in the evening which narrowed my choices and this being right across from my hotel, I decided to venture in as I was hungry!! Man was I happy for my choice! The double burger was so juicy and flavorful! The fries had no greasy spots and were not overly salty. Hit the spot and now I'm a bit of a fan!
Rick C — Google review
The food is good but the boy who took our order (which had the chicken strip baskets) didn't give us the gravy with our food. The boy also doesn't know how to listen. I know it's hard working in fast food restaurants but if you are, learn how to count back change and listen to simple orders.
Lila H — Google review
Very, very long drive thru wait. It was crowded inside and outside in the drive thru. This is the closest one to our home, so we made the trip for ice cream treats.
Essence C — Google review
Got a reeses blizzard and it was very good. When ordering the people were very kind. The bathrooms were perfectly in order and stocked. The only issue, and the only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because there was a terrible burning smell. not like food being burnt but almost like an electrical fire. the smell was honestly very overwhelming and I had a headache by the time I left. Still a good establishment and good people. They just need to resolve the issue with the smell.
Gary C — Google review
This is a great spot with a great vibe and the young man who took our order was a complete gentleman and is a kind soul. I really enjoyed my evening here with my family getting Blizzards. I too worked at a Dairy Queen in Jacksonville Beach many many years ago and it was cool to see that some of the traditions haven’t changed. Kudos to DQ!
Adam B — Google review
We live in the area and make frequently trips (probably too many) to DQ in Fernandina Beach. Most of those times, the service is fine (not specifically great but not bad either). Yesterday, Sunday 7/13/25, was a very different experience. We went inside and the young lady taking orders was rude. First, I am not a person that expects too much from customer facing workers. They encounter rude, demeaning customers, especially in a high tourist area like FB. That is not the kind of customer I am or my family. The cashier provided a very poor customer experience after I asked why we couldn't order items that were fried. A simple question that got a rude verbal and body language response. I asked to speak to the manager and all she said was "I'm sorry". I wasn't wanting an apology. I wanted her to address the worker. Instead of coaching her, she told her "Let it roll off your back", demonstrating that I was the problem. I wasn't the problem. Overall, I didn't (and still don't) want anything for free other than just some basic customer service.
Chris O — Google review
The young lady in the drive-thru today was rude. We were given no greeting, no customer service, just stared at. My husband and I got a little uncomfortable, and my husband suggested that she was acting like she had never seen people of color before. Whatever the reason, it was a strange interaction and made me question whether my food was safe to eat. The cake bites in the Blizzard tasted stale. I don't recommend this place.

Owen is amazing!! Great customer service and served me the best ice cream I’ve ever had in a while! We’ll be coming back every week for this awesomeness!
Zen D — Google review
Disappointing. Portion sizes are smaller than advertised. Every picture shows a heaping scoop of ice cream popping out of the cup. Our 4 were well under the edge of the cup. The milkshake required us to ask for additional ice cream when it only filled half of the cup. Additional mix-ins used to be free, they were out of whip cream for milk shakes, and they no longer offer a military discount. I spent $30 for less than a pint of ice cream. Not what I grew to love about this location.
Ryan C — Google review
This is hands down one of my absolute favorite places to get ice cream! There’s different flavors to choose from & many different toppings. The customer service here is fantastic & the store front is always clean! I always love trying the new flavors but am a creature of habit & get the same thing every time.... chocolate ice cream with yellow cake, give it a try it won’t disappoint!!
Kristine W — Google review
Even though it is pricier than other ice cream establishments, the ice cream is made in store daily with fresh ingredients. It also tastes excellent and comes in a variety of flavors! The experience is also unique because you can choose toppings to add in to your ice cream and then watch as they mix your creation on a frozen granite stone. It is at least a fun family experience to try out and something that will amaze your little ones!
Jeanetta L — Google review
Not a lot of people in town this season, which makes this premium ice cream destination a must-do! They take your selection and mix it (or not) as you choose. Pictured is a "strawberry blonde" waffle cone.
Adrian D — Google review
Here's what I don't understand. If you don't like interacting with people, why do you have a job that is based upon making your customer feel glad they chose your business instead of so many others that are out there? The last two times I have brought my family in here, the person behind the counter has acted like we are inconveniencing her. There is no smile or show of being happy in any way. For goodness sake. You are serving ice cream on Amelia Island! What are you so pissed about? Come on, get a grip, and make a decision to be happy with your choices or move on!!

Stephanie makes awesome and amazing food. I ordered a carrot cake for a co workers birthday. The carrot cake was ready the next and more delicious than I've ever had.
