The 31 best desserts and snacks in Lansing

I ordered a white frosted cake with purple edging on top and bottom 2 weeks in advance, in person. When I picked it up the edging was white, and the frosting had pink streaks in it and was not smooth (see pictures). When I spoke with the manager on the phone about my disappointment in the quality of the decorating on a cake that I paid $81 for, she would not listen to my concerns and continually talked over me. When I asked her if this cake was acceptable to them, she refused to answer. I bought this cake for a surprise birthday party for my sister who loves their cakes, and they ruined one of the nice touches for her party. I will NEVER give them any of my business. I have had better custom cakes from Walmart and Meijer at a fraction of the cost.

We are in love with their cherry chip cupcakes with cherry chip frosting. 10 out of 10. Any excuse to bring them to a party or special occasion, we get them! Extremely nice staff. We even ordered our wedding cupcakes from here and everyone loved them!

Spent over $60 for a 6 inch cake. Sent them two different photo references specifying colors & design. Confirmed this when I placed the order in person. They handed me a solid white cake with zero decoration. Event is today so there’s no time for correction. Disappointed is an understatement. EDIT: Owners response makes me look to be in the wrong when I know for certain coloring can be added to cream cheese frosting as they have done in the past. Absolutely no excuse to be given a white cake when the both photo references were blue & purple. I’d also like to add that the yellow stars & moon around the cake were not there until I sent it back.

These cakes are unmatched! I haven't had one yet that I didn't think was the best cake I ever had. The cookies, cupcakes, and banana bread are all good as well. The ordering process is easy, and the large cakes are very affordable. They provide great service, and your stuff is always ready when they say it will be ready. Butter definitely makes it better!! Highly recommended.

Before you reach the door, you can SMELL the baked goods! Upon entering the bakery the greeting was VERY kind. A very supportive employee helped me put together a variety of two dozen cookies. I brought these to a going-away party and they were enjoyed by many. BUTTER MAKES IT BETTER is their logo and it is accurate.

I ordered a 50th birthday cake for my husband. The cake tasted good, but everything else was awful. I was embarrassed to present the cake to my husband. I could have decorated it better than what they did. Plus the filling was wrong. It was banana flavored and I asked for custard. It was WAY overpriced for what I received. I would never trust this company with a special event again.

I stopped in to grab a few cupcakes. There aren't any signs stating what the cupcakes are (flavors etc) so I pointed to specific ones and asked. The employee helping me acted very annoyed that I didn't know what they were (without signs, how on earth was I supposed to know?) She was very rude and had a very poor attitude. I was quite taken aback since I wasn't being demanding or rude to her and was very perplexed by her behavior. I ignored her poor attitude and rude behavior and remained pleasant but it really bothered me...it was just unnecessary and unwarranted. The cupcakes were delicious but after that unpleasantly rude customer service experience, I doubt I'll ever go back.

Cutesie and clean with seasonal decor. The years are pretty and delicious! So many options! I got a box of doughnuts for a group of hung over Spartans and they really hit the spot! ❤️

My husband and I LOVE Mitten Raised. The desserts, food and coffee are exceptional. We have a hard time choosing what to order because everything is so amazing. The owner and staff are kind and friendly, going out of their way to make the experience an enjoyable one. They also make our dog feel welcome when we have her at the outdoor seating area, she is a big fan of pup cups. Highly recommend!

Cool city vibe for a bakery. Quality of the food is great. I got a few cinnamon rolls to go which were really nice and large. Prices were average and I didn’t feel like I was paying inflated campus prices. Only downside was the cashier who had zero patience. I asked her if the cinnamon rolls had cream cheese frosting or regular icing and she quickly snapped back “I don’t know, I guess you’ll find out”.

Got to know Mitten Raised when picking up my lunch and a treat, and they were awesome! When I placed a corporate order for 725 cupcakes she went above & beyond and everything was as amazing as it was when I walked into the store for just 1 sandwich and treat.

Catering/Wedding - We worked with Katie to cater/deliver 160 cupcakes and a 8" cake for our wedding. We would 150% recommend Mitten Raised! Katie (owner) was amazing from the moment I inquired about her services (about 6 months prior) to when she delivered them with her team. We ended up getting strawberry shortcake and lemon drops in a cake cup, and shoreline and a marbled decorative cupcakes, They were all delicious and our guests are still raving about them. We also ordered a simple white cake for us to cut, and honestly it was one of my favorites - it was just the right amount of sweetness, flavor, and texture! Katie was also very responsive and sweet throughout multiple emails. I had to change the count and flavors multiple times, and she responded instantly and always in a friendly manner. We've also been into Mitten Raised for separate sweet-treat occasions, and it never disappoints! Please consider catering through Mitten Raised! We love their baked goods, professionality, and if we were to ever have a large event again - I would book them in a heartbeat.

We got the mini for $3 each, the portion sizes were good. Service was fast and staff were friendly. However, the flavors were very mid/average. We got their two signatures. one was a vanilla with caramel and nuts , the other was vanilla with chocolate chunks and malt. We had high hopes as visitors to MSU, waiting in line for 30 minutes and for a place so famous. The first flavor I couldn’t taste what nuts there were because the pieces were so tiny, and the second flavor tasted like overwhelmingly fake chocolate. Both were also sickeningly sweet, neither of us could finish more than half of the mini size without feeling nauseous. Not good at all for us.

Tried the ice cream at the MSU Dairy Store and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were so rich, creamy, and fresh—it instantly reminded me of the authentic taste of ice cream back home in India. There’s something truly special about the texture and flavor here that sets it apart from the usual options in the U.S. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire experience felt warm and nostalgic. You can tell the ice cream is made with care and top-quality ingredients. Highly recommend this place if you're craving something sweet, flavorful, and truly satisfying. Price is unbeatable. For $2.5 you get a big scoop, and waffle cone is additional 50cents. The flavor is lacking for the one I ordered though. Thought I had a peach flavor ice cream cus I couldn’t taste anything besides sugar, and then was reminded this is suppose to be a mango flavor ice cream. I think other flavors might taste better and will come back to try.

I would definitely recommend everyone to try the Dairy Store ice cream. The ice cream is made right on campus, the flavors are rich, creamy, and constantly rotating with seasonal options. The serving sizes are generous, and the scoops are packed with flavor you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. A must try for all Spartans!!

The ice cream is delicious! I tried a mini cup of Izzo Malted Madness and it was 10/10. The mini cup was definitely packed with more ice cream than they could fit and I enjoyed it, especially for that price!!! A must stop!! Service was great!

Such a gem. The ice cream is insanely good, super creamy, tons of flavor options, and crazy cheap for the quality. Staff’s always friendly, and the vibe just feels classic college. It’s one of those spots you can’t go wrong with. 5/5.

Classic Big Ten agriculture dairy store with some great ice cream options. The store does draw a crowd, but the team is good at moving the line. There are a bunch of non-ice cream treats available as well.

Chapter is the best bakery in Greater Lansing Area. Loved their Almond danish and Jamando in particular. Their coffee is ok-ish but I love their Cubano (it's off the menu currently, I request it and if they have the ingredients they make it for me). Highly recommend this place for fresh bakery

Fresh and good service. Of the 3 things I got, the Oreo was the best, it wasn’t overly sweet like you would expect and the frosting is so light and fluffy. The fruit tarts can be better, the crust wasn’t as hard as I thought it’ll be. There was not a crunch to it. The cheese cake was good, although not sweet enough for my taste. I wish there was a larger selection as well. You’ll have to go early if you want to good stuff. Over all it was a good experience.

The selection was very small. A lot of empty space in the case. There were four people working, but they could only help one person at a time. It felt like you were bothering them by buying things.

Very delicious! I expected the desserts to be very sweet but they somehow managed to make it light and very tasty with less sugar than normal sweets!😋 Would love to come back next time I'm in town! Also staff was very helpful and kind!

Wonderful pastries... Many I used to make in bakeries I have worked in... Danish was light, buttery and flakey, just like they should be! Will be back!

Decent treats for the most part. I absolutely loved my custard puff pastry, but the blueberry cream cake was a little odd and had almost a wet texture to it. The cannoli was good, but not the best I’ve had in the area. The croissant was good also, but just good. Not amazing. If you’re in the Lansing area, I’d rather make the drive to Flour Child in GL.

Sunday morning offered an older clientele, which is rare and welcomed in East Lansing. Amazing pastries, excellent atmosphere for reading or studying, friendly service, and pretty good coffee. I normally study at Bigby, but this place is so much better. Will definitely be back.

Our first visit this morning and so glad we popped in! Excellent, friendly customer service; delicious breakfast crepes; fantastic coffee. What more do you want? Some of the light fixtures could use a cleaning and drop ceiling tiles replaced, but otherwise the space is soothing and takes me back to European cafes. We will be back for more, soon!

Very cute contemporary place, and the breakfast crepes are Amazing. They even do latte art, and they have benches near the front windows, it feels like you're sitting in an NYC cafe. I was hungry so I forgot to take a pic before we got a couple bites.

The atmosphere and the coffee are delicious... the crepe just okay. If I'm going to pay $40 for two crepes with salad and a coffee...I kinda want to be wowed and I just wasn't. Super cool place if you love crepes though.

I visited For Crepe Sake on a Sunday afternoon. The hours posted on their website, Google, and FB do not match. This was confusing. I had a Lavender iced latte, blueberry goat sweet crepe, and classic savory crepe. The latte was good. The blueberry goat sweet crepe was okay; it had an - overpowering sweet taste. The classic savory wasn't great. It was very salty, and the mustard flavor overtook the flavor of ham and cheese. The atmosphere was okay, however the ceilings are very dirty. The music they had on that day to me was quite loud. I was expecting more of a cafe experience. The lady who assisted me was kind and explained the menu well. The drink and food came out quickly. I am gluten-free, not by choice, and they upcharged for this (not an issue). The cost overall is pricey, and I don't think the food was that great for the cost.

I had a Veggie Crepe to go. One of the biggest things for me was that the crepe was still warm when I got back to eat it. The ingredients were incredibly flavorful and fresh tasting as well (the sundried tomato pesto is to die for). I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a delicious and refreshing crepe. Can't wait to try my next sweet treat here! Side note, the hash browns were perfect! Crunchy on the outside, salty and fluffy on the inside. Thank you, FCS!

Crepes were delicious! That being said, the latte was the worst I’ve ever had (basically just milk), and the staff didn’t seem to know anything about the menu or be able to answer any questions. I know it’s a college town, but having two private restrooms without any changing tables was frustrating as well if you have children

we got the Nutella fruit crepe $16 and the tuscan crepe $18, it was a little pricey especially since there was barely any fruit in the Nutella one. Pretty disappointing

Extremely disappointed and disgusted. My spouse came in yesterday and ordered a dozen of sugar cookies and we got them home and they were undercooked severely and tasted disgusting. I’ve been coming to this establishment for over 10 years and never had an issue but this is not ok. Do quality checks before giving paying customers undercooked desserts

It was hard to decide what would satisfy the sweet tooth from their giant selection. However, the brownies were omg decadent and delicious. The red velvet cupcake stole the show though; it had a donut hole in the middle! And I do-nut want that to end, so I'll have to come back for more!

I recently had the chance to try Sugar Shack’s cookies and had really been looking forward to them — I’d heard such great things. Since my husband has a dairy allergy, I called the shop to ask whether their peanut butter cookies contain dairy, especially because I couldn’t find any ingredient or allergen information online. When I asked, the person who answered the phone responded with a very blunt “of course,” in a tone that felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. It really caught me off guard. I wasn’t trying to be difficult — my husband’s safety depends on this kind of information, and plenty of peanut butter cookie recipes actually don’t include dairy, so I thought it was a fair question. I understand people get busy, but it would mean a lot if allergy questions were handled with more care and respect. I also hope the bakery considers making allergen information more accessible. A little more kindness in moments like this would go a long way.

I cannot say enough good things about the cooking classes at Social Sloth. They are laid back classes with AMAZING food and a great opportunity to learn some new cooking skills. No judgement for newbies. For our class we made lentil soup and kisir, and they turned out great. I highly recommend this restaurant and their cooking classes!

Social Sloth catered our daughter's rehearsal dinner, and it was excellent. The food was flavorful, fresh and festive. I consulted with them on a menu for a dinner for 30, while taking dietary restrictions into account. Chef Aybars was easy to work with in terms of choosing dishes, dietary information, scheduling delivery and payment. The diners loved the food and the meal helped make the evening memorable.

Me and my friends decided to check this place out because we have never been there. We walked in and what seemed to be manager, since he was the only person there, he was sitting down on his laptop and asked if we were ready to order. We said not yet because we just wanted to see what they had to offer and he said “ugh don’t waste my time” and sat back down. this is so disgusting and rude, especially as we mentioned that it was our first time. my parents have businesses so i know exactly how someone should be running their business as i’ve had experience. learn how to manage and treat customers with respect. that’s why the place is empty lol. this is so disgusting and I will never be coming here again.

Tonight was our first trip, and we really enjoyed it. We sat outside with just perfect weather. The service was super friendly and helpful. The food was the star, though, and that's really the most important thing! We had soup, two different plated meals, and shared a slice of cake for dessert. It was all super flavorful, well presented, and with good portion sizes.

Today I was able to introduce a friend to Social Sloth and they didn’t disappoint! We each had the Sucuk and Eggs with shredded cheese and homemade bread and a delicious latte. Then of course I had to have some Turkish Delights to go! Everything was wonderful as usual including the atmosphere and the service.

Really great food. It is really nice to see places like this move into Lansing. The customer service was great, they were helpful and friendly. I ate the chocolate croissant and it was amazing soft and flaky. The turkish omelets is spicy and full of flavor. Visit this place if your are in the area.

I ordered a turkey slaw sandwich and peach cobbler cup cake. The cupcake was delicious. I had a hard time enjoying the sandwich because the person making it was also the cashier, was touching everything and talking all over my sandwich with a dirty nose. All I could think of was yuck. I ended up taking a bite of the sandwich and throwing it away. The staff was ok service-wise but not presentable, one of them had flour all over, I'm like you should have stayed in the back! But you could tell they had been baking all day. It took while to make my sandwich. The place feels like it could use a deep cleaning. Sorry, I really wanted to be positive but presentation is everything in the food industry.

The carrot cupcake was pure poetry! Great spice profile, perfect frosting, just right bake, light yet satisfying, gorgeous proportions, reasonably priced at 4.25 (I would pay more - it was that good)! The chocolate salted caramel cupcake was just as fantastic: terrific moist crumb, excellent chocolate, the caramel drizzle was very caramel-y and the salt hit my mouth at the end...perfect finish! Plus all the cupcakes are delectable in presentation, the whole pastry case is so tempting and attractive.. Easiest 5 stars I've ever given.

Absolutely great experience working with Nikki and her team for our wedding desserts. Everything was so delicious and a real big hit with our guests. Many were shocked when they found out everything is gluten free! Highly recommend even if you are not gluten sensitive!

I purchased 4 dozen gluten-free mini cupcakes to celebrate January birthdays at my workplace, and the gluten-free cupcakes were more of a hit than the “regular” cupcakes! They were packed in a sturdy container designed to keep the cupcakes from tumbling around in the car, and they were BEAUTIFUL. Sweet Encounters did not sacrifice flavor, texture, or presentation with these delicious treats. I can’t wait to go back for other gluten-free goodies! Thank you thank you thank you for being here!

I have celiac disease and this bakery is the best one I've even been to! Everything in the whole bakery is certified gf so we never have to worry about cross contamination. They have great options for a small brunch. Their cakes and cupcakes are heavenly. They taste just like gluten cakes, if not better! Their frosting is amazing too; definitely better than any other we've tried! They make awesome and delicious custom cakes and the employees are truly so kind and accommodating! Highly recommend!

Sweet Encounter is a gluten free oasis in the general gluten free desert that is the Lansing area. The owners and other staff are SUPER sweet and always greet you with a big smile. Their cupcakes in a jar and regular cupcakes are the best I’ve had in a long time. I haven’t tried any of their lunch items, but plan to soon! They also sell some baked goods at Hooked - can’t go wrong with a gluten free treat, wine/cocktail/cup of coffee or tea, and a good book!

I love love love this place!! I've been diagnosed with celiac disease for quite some time now, but have never found a bakery as good as this one. I love to get their sweets, especially their cake rolls, but do love their other stuff as well. The staff is always so lovely and kind. I have never had a bad experience since coming there. I go to the college, so I usually walk there as it's only a 10 minute walk, so I go there frequently enough. Highly recommend if you have celiac or a gluten intolerance.

This is an interesting place. My breakdown is as follows. Food wise, there are choices for everyone. The important thing to remember is that it is a café. I believe some items are very basic and others exceptional. I tried the seafood soup and it was one of the best I've ever had and is one of maybe two or three they sell year round others are rotational. Yet my club sandwhich though tasty was basic. The service is very good for how busy it can get. I advise getting reservations especially on the weekend. The atmosphere is what makes it a popular place. It is well lit and the wall color schemes made me feel like I was in an Italian wine cellar with whites and light browns. A great place for wine and conversation or catching up with a friend.

If you are near MSU this is a great spot for comfort food. The Ruben sandwich was very good. It was not piled high with corned beef which made it more enjoyable. The staff are no nonsense and right to the point. Great looking menu with lots of choices.

We love the Soup Spoon. It is a local restaurant featuring made from scratch entrees. Their breakfast is awesome and so is pretty much all of their food. We were in for lunch. They also have a nice drink menu and I got a banana bread old fashioned. A nice twist on a classic drink. Their soups are so good and so are their sandwiches.

A place where everyone is treated like family and the food brings you comfort! Immediately upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with warm smiles and a great conversation with the manager/owner, who ended up bringing us a taste of Greek liquor! Our server was efficient and kind, constantly checking in on us. Food-wise, it was phenomenal. The seafood chowder was delicious and my seasonal pasta was super filling and overall a top pasta dish. Could not recommend this place more for a stop into Lansing, whether you’re here to visit MSU or are just passing through! It’s a place that makes everyone feel like they’re home and the food/service certainly reflects that!

Heard about the road closure in front affecting business, so I decided to eat there show some love their way. Clearly, while less crowded than the time I went four years ago, business is still doing good-and so is their food. Had a San Fran Bennie (Benedict) and did not disappoint. Eggs cooked perfectly with perfectly seasoned hollandaise alongside a thin hash brown made with a little extra crunch, just how I like it. The chefs know what they’re doing. While I rarely go to restaurants-this is a gem of a restaurant in Lansing (do not miss!)

Our lunch Rueben was sparse on meats and cheese, but flavorful overall. The menu itself seems busy but on inspection none seemed overly appetizing or seasoned in a way that piqued my appetite. Very clean and brightly lit. Nice, capable servers. Plenty of refills of water and tea.

Beautifull place, but was almost empty. Ive read reviews which werent that good but wanted to try. My brother got the 88$steak, which was good, but just good and in my opinion not worth 88$. I ve got lemon chicken pasta which was nice, but best for me was onion soup.

First timers, and we absolutely loved it! Our only complaint was the garlic chive mashed potatoes. They really didn't taste like they had any flavor whatsoever on them! They carrot cake is a must!!!

Overall I had a good experience at this restaurant with my family. The staff was very attentive and understanding with any alterations to the meals or drinks. Me and my family came to celebrate my little sister’s 21st birthday. We all ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Since it was a big party it did take some time for our food to be ready. Everyone was pretty satisfied with their food but some items could’ve been seasoned more and served with a bigger portion in our opinion .

It was my first time visiting. The wait staff were all very attentive and polite. The atmosphere was pleasant with low lighting and candles at each table. The food was absolutely delicious!! It was the best salmon I have ever tasted and the desserts were excellent! Their alcohol selection was also great! Highly recommend to anyone, absolutely plan to return!!

I’ve only ever been here once and will probably never return from the experience. The staff was all really nice, but it took 40 minutes to get our food and then both my husband and I had to send our dishes back because of how over cooked they were. They then ran out of what I ordered, which is totally fine, that happens, I ordered something else and it was pretty gross. All in, it took an hour and a half to get food. The manager came over to apologize which was very nice and offer us a free dessert, we tried to decline it because we were so done with the experience that we just wanted to leave but they sent over a bag with the check, which was $300 for 3 people. The carrot cake was definitely the best part of the experience lol

Great spot for anniversary dinner, the restaurant has a nice look to it. The food was delicious, the steak was one of the best i’ve had and the calamari is spectacular, definitely recommend!

The food selections seem to have something for everyone's palette. The prices are fair and the food is excellent along with pleasing to the eyes presentation. We really liked how the entrees give you the option of a small or larger portion and priced according. My wife and I like to order different entrees and appetizers and share our food. We had Kyle as our server and he was spot on! A refreshing change from our last couple restaurant experiences where the food was good, however, the service was poor which is a real drag when you're spending decent money for the dinning experience.. The decor is just so so.. The building is the old Kentucky Fried Chicken that closed after an employee was murdered during an armed robbery in 2011. I felt there was a bit too many tables so when busy during Friday and Saturday night you're kinda shoehorned in there. The legs of the small tables near the bar are not level prompting our server having to place folded up napkins under one of the legs to prevent the table from rocking side to side. I would think a restaurant would have that figured out before opening up for business. A bit too much lighting in the restaurant I thought as well. All in all we did enjoy our experience and will return. When we do we'll request Kyle to be our server he was fantastic!

DELICIOUS! Great host♥️ We arrived here coming home from Detroit airport going to Holland. The restaurant was on a reservation only night due to a few large reservations vs. staffing ratio. We didn’t have reservations and initially was told they couldn’t take us BUT HE DID! He squeezed us in and attended to us promptly. The aroma of the food smells delicious and the taste matches. We had Goat cheese ravioli and Fettuccini Alfredo. Noodles were definitely home made. What a gem! Quaint cocktail/bar area, traditional Italian music playing. Just an all around pleasant experience😄 (We ordered half orders)

Me and my wife had a good experience here. a very well thought out beer list, and I appreciate that. I had the chicken parmesan, the chicken was good breaded well and good flavor. The noodles were good. My wife loved her dish. The bread that came out to start was great. Bathrooms could use some updating, overall atmosphere was very nice. To end I had the bourbon ice cream, heavy bourbon flavor but still good. I would recommend trying it out of you've been curious and I wouldn't mind coming back.

Fantastic and friendly service in a very stylist, yet cozy atmosphere. Each course was high quality, well executed Italian comfort food. I liked the taste of the food when Tannin was at their Okemos location, but balked at the pricing. Now that they're in the Eastside, the food price point is very reasonable, making their menu very accessible. Even the made-from-scratch scoop of Chocolate Bourbon gelato (not pictured) was so delicious, it didn't last longer than 10 minutes.

Heard the new Michigan Avenue place was open, so we went there for lunch, and sure enough, it was! Today was their grand opening, but since a lot of people don't yet know they're open, it was quiet. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was tasty, but there are several other items I'd like to try on another visit. The dessert menu looks worthy of a visit for that alone! For lunch, the prices are very comparable to other sit-down restaurants with food of quality. My lunch was $10 and I had some leftovers. Service was attentive and friendly, and the owner was checking-in with diners, which is always a nice touch. The exterior landscaping could use a bit of a clean-up, but I'm guessing that may get more attention once they're over the hurdle of the opening. Also, the interior furniture could benefit from an upgrade at some point. The tables looked freshly-finished but were sticky and wobbly. All-in-all, it's very exciting to have Tannin on Michigan Avenue.

Best Italian in Lansing and they have a drive thru! The stuffed crab shells and tomato soup are a great combo. Amazing fettuccine Alfredo and bread. The cheesecake is one of the best I've ever had. Lemony and fluffy. The house Manhattan is a big hit too. The service is upbeat, attentative and very friendly. The overall vibe is homey. This is one of our favorite spots. You won't be disappointed here.

Oh man. What an experience. Cracked it off with the calamari ~ amazing. The attention to flavor and bringing together senses that BELONG, the sour of the pepper pickles balancing the weight of the fried calamari, dressed in lovely herbs. Divine. The goat cheese ravioli was a whole different beast. I can't describe that sauce but it complements the cheese in... The most perfect way. To top it off, a lovely garnish of basil sprouts, too cute. Nice place to visit. A cozy and warm Cafe and bakery. We ordered some hot drinks, different muffins with different flavors (cherry pecan ones) and a cinnamon bun with vanilla creamy topping. Everything was tasty and the place was warm and cozy. Recommended place for a breakfast and a warm drink.

This place is very cozy and nice. I like the decor. Different pie’s options and fresh. The pie was tasty, crunchy and well baked.

The soup was first rate. I had the tomato bisque. The ham sandwich was ok, the bread it came on was rather thin. My big gripe is that they replaced Diet Pepsi with Pepsi No Sugar. Due to that I won't be back.

The best pies I’ve eaten in my life, I don’t like cherries nor cherry pies, yet I’ve gotten addicted to this one & would love to go to Michigan again just for that pie. Clean place, welcoming staff, I’d stay there for hours working on my laptop, great environment. Love their salads, and even though I don’t drink coffee, I loved the smell of theirs, it has cherrie scent in their coffees. I wasn’t a fan of their peanut-butter cupcakes. But I loved their apple pie, pecan pie, blackberry pie, cherry pie & ABC (apple berry & cherry) pie. Try them all.

Was there to pick up a birthday treat that I ordered online but when I got there one of the managers told me they were unfortunately out of two of my three items. I said it was ok but they bent over backwards to make things right and ended up giving me a bunch of extra treats! They were all DELICIOUS of course and I shared some with my coworkers the next day!

Delicious fresh baked pies and sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich is particularly good, and the soup is always wonderful. Comfortable seating and a nice quiet atmosphere, perfect for a lunch meet-up or to sit and study/work. I also appreciate that they have different varieties of pie each time we go!

We came here with a fairly large group (7 adults, 2 babies) on a busy night so our wait was pretty long and we ended up being sat at two different tables - I probably would have been alright with going somewhere else at that point, but I’m glad we stayed. The food was great and when mistakes were made, our server and the cooks were quick to correct them. The atmosphere is nice and cozy albeit a touch bland. Prices are pretty high also.

We each ordered the wet burrito special. He said his had a decent amount of beef, but mine certainly did not. I honestly thought they forgot it at first. I finally found a sprinkling mixed in with the beans. Even getting beyond that, there was absolutely nothing special about these burritos. They were very bland and boring. The restaurant was FREEZING. The thermostat said 74 but it was right next to a heat lamp. I went out to my car to get a hoodie and realized I didn't have one. 😡 I finally broke down and asked if they had any for sale. She initially said no, but then someone found some.... For $45 each. #1 I'm not paying $45 for a hoodie. #2 especially not when it's because their restaurant is cold. #3 expecting me to pay that price to advertise their business is wild. Even at $35 I probably would have done it... $45? No. Another table came in after us and they were also complaining about the cold. It's also quite dingy. I get that for the bar section, but I would think they could spruce up the back dining area a bit. Our server was great. Unfortunately, that was about the only good part. We agreed this was probably our last visit.

Historical building and atmosphere. Really good soup, and the salad was fresh. Great homemade ranch. My husband started his air tour from the airport over 20yr. ago. We enjoyed our lunch, it was busy but was well served.

Okay, where to start?! The menu I see online is not the new menu. Menu prices are quite a bit higher on the new menu than they are on the old menu.Dirty. Dark. My tab was $80 for three people. I’m not sure why they call it a steakhouse when they serve two steaks. That is it just two to choose from and they do not season them. I got The sizzler. No seasoning whatsoever ended up giving it to my son. Very bland. My husband’s fish was not fresh. It was definitely frozen. Will not be returning for sure.

I love this Restaurant, the atmosphere, the food and the look of the place. It genuinely feels like a great hangout place I would want to bring my loved ones and friends like characters in the popular 80's-90's sitcom: "Cheers". I hope to go to this Restaurant as much as possible, and I intend to go there today in fact. Thank you so much to all the staff and individuals who keep this awesome Restaurant going and functioning for everyone.

A guy I work with recommended the ribeye sandwich and we were not disappointed- I was thinking it would be a shaved beef kind of deal but it was not- it was an actual while ribeye laid on two pieces of Texas toast - very good! Nice atmosphere, keno for those that play and the only thing I didn’t like was the fries - wrinkle cut or whatever. Not a fan of the fries!

East Lansing Classic. Used to live behind tasty twist for a year and it was really nice to have an ice cream place nearby. The owner and staff are great. The ice cream is well priced and always exactly what I expect. Lines can be long but they move fast. Parking is not great and can be hard to navigate but it does not detract from my views about the place!

This place is so cute and clean! They have an extensive menu that includes scoops of hard ice cream (8-10 flavors to choose from, including Superman and butter pecan), soft serve options of vanilla, chocolate, twist, and a flavor of the week, which was key lime and what I had, so yummy and light!). They also had several iced and slushie drink flavors to choose from. They also have sundaes, banana splits, and twisters: soft serve ice cream with up to two ingredients mixed in, we tried the fruit pebbles... So yummy!! I think they also have chili dogs? The temperature outside was basically hot lava, so I had little interest in any of their hot foods. The crew here was very friendly and attentive. This will be a regular spot for my family and I to visit for years to come. 🩷

i can not believe my eyes. i gathered all my friends and family in the area for this very moment to be severely disappointed. i feel bamboozled. last week’s sign said “next weeks soft serve flavor is coconut”. well, it is now next week. i trot in all holly jolly and to my sincere surprise: NO COCONUT. it said “flavor of the week: creamsicle”. i feel tricked. so sad. what will i do now? who knows when coconut will be back. now i have nothing to look forward to in my week.

Delicious ice cream and such a great variety of flavors. It may be sacrilege to say it, but I prefer their ice cream even over the MSU Dairy Store. And the free and plentiful parking is a huge bonus for an East Lansing business.

Simply the best soft serve in Mid-Michigan, maybe the US. They are a staple of the East Lansing/MSU community. If you're in town for any reason, go get a twister.

I got a Watermelon Skittles Cooler. It was delicious but found a fabric like thing in my drink. The service was pretty quick, and the line was not as long as it could be. There were about five cars in front of us and out in about ten minutes or less. We went through drive-through, and I did not know about the fabric thing in the drink until we were at the house. We had such a long day, and with my disability, my legs were too tired to go back. My sister enjoyed her ice cream, and nothing was in hers. They did not give us a receipt but were there around 8 to 9 pm 6/8/25 in case someone else found something in their order. I ate mine with the spoon so I could observe each mouthful. Yes, I was that tired. The staff seemed quick, and they were coming in and out with orders and maintaining things from my eyes. One day, we will go in to see how accessible they are.

I used the Curdside and the team came out with only half of my order the first time without my five orders of single scoop turtle cheesecakes. She also gave me an apple juice instead of chocolate milk, so she had to go back and get that replaced. When she returned, she only gave me four of the single scoop turtle cheesecakes. When I asked them for the fifth one at the door (dining room was closed ) they gave me a cup that was only a quarter full. I have a picture of this ridiculous single scoop that I paid three dollars for. As a regular customer, this is unacceptable. The staff was annoyed that I had disturbed their gathering inside the restaurant and ask them for my missing fifth scoop.

Complete chaos. We ordered in the drive-thru and pulled forward like usual to wait for the ice cream... They completely forgot about us, after watching several cars pass and a half hour waiting we decided to go inside and ask if our order was ready. The employee had to scroll back on the screen several times before our order even showed, at least 10 orders back. Then he asked if anyone made it where another employee said yes. They pulled our order already made from a cooler. The shake was melted, the mixer the wrong size but we at that point could care less about the order and just wanted to go home. Time and money wasted. It's concerning that the employee walking out orders didn't question why he kept walking past our vehicle, and that the employees didn't think about the perception of them pulling out a 30min old and melted order out of a cooler to hand to the customer that had to walk inside to ask what's going on. Something to really take away and learn from. I understand mistakes happen but the fact that no one questioned these pieces that could have made the situation a little less annoying.

Getting through the line was good. Getting my order right not so good. Asked for a lemon ice cooler that was great. Asked for a pink if Strawberry ice the flavor of the day. Got to the window they said turtle ice cream I told them no I wanted strawberry. Another person come over a confirmed it was strawberry. She said that’s what I got. Order checked, bag handed to me. Get home it’s turtle ice cream. Doesn’t go well with fresh strawberries.

The food was okay but 60 dollars for burgers and shakes is ridiculous, but the service was something for sure. The employee at the drive through speaker seems to not know how to turn off her mic because when we asked for a minute she started talking to her coworkers about not having a foot matt and how her feet were tired. Then, the guy at the drive through window gave me the wrong change, and they were very unprofessional. The man who ran out our food to us also only gave us one straw for all 3 drinks, and one of our chicken sandwiches was cold

I was completely blown away with the veggie burger. It was very satisfying and really hit the spot. My mom ordered the Rubin and asked for extra meat.... she was a little disappointed with her meal. From the looks of it she didn't get extra meat and wasn't to happy about the taste... the customer service was great tho... the cashier was very patient.

Haven't had these in forever but this place has certainly gone downhill. The cookies used to actually be worth the price. Now, you have to get the specialty ones for it to be worth it and it's still not. $25 for 9 cookies that look like this? Nahhhh bring back the pre COVID bakes!!! Boo!

So let me start off by saying that the quality of the cookies is incredible. I’ve had all of their permanent deluxe cookies and they are always great quality. My deduction of a star comes from this particular location. The most recent time I went in there (12/3/22) the girl working behind the counter was clearly high as a kite. The location also did not have their seasonal/limited edition cookies even though they advertised having them online and IN THE STORE. I highly recommend their deluxe chocolate chunk, deluxe salted caramel, and deluxe confetti. All amazing. Soft and gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside. Will still go back even though the location itself irritated me.

First time here & it was late night. My cookies were fresh and chewy. I got Red Velvet, snickerdoodle, salted caramel, peanut butter & vegan birthday cake. A half dozen was a great choice for first timers. Customer service was nice as well.

It always smells fantastic in there as soon as you walk in, the staff is so friendly, always smiling. The flavors of ice cream are creative and the cookie selection is 2nd to none in town. A must visit if you've never been.

The establishment itself is fine, my boyfriend and I just had a very bad experience about 5 minutes ago. I don’t know the persons name but they had blue, shoulder-length hair with very grown out blonde roots. Our total was 13.34 and I watched my boyfriend count OUT LOUD his singles adding up to 10 and then added a 5. We should have gotten 1.64 back but the person at the register forgot our dollar. When I mentioned my boyfriend gave them 15 and are still owed a dollar, they paused, glared at us and rudely argued “he gave me 14”. Taken aback we just cut our losses and left. We didn’t think it was worth getting so worked up over. But after leaving we were pissed that someone could harbor such a nasty attitude towards someone they never met over a dollar

This is a wonderful place for dessert, you have a cake-ish sweet tooth, come on down. I just needed something sweet one day and I just wanted something a little more than candy. Gigi’s cupcakes popped up on my radar and I decided to give it a go. This place has more than enough options for cupcakes and even delicious cakes. So, if you have a celebration and need something cakey and yummy, they can hook you up. I get at least 2 or 3 cupcakes so I can try different flavors often and I have never been let down. It has a nice atmosphere, fancy yet cute and professional and the air smells ever so amazing with its sweet cake scent. This shop is located near others so there’s plenty of parking. Every person who has ever helped me has always held a smile and been helpful when I want to know what’s new and what’s popular. If I had to pick out any possible concerns it would be milk. I’d like to milk it down in the end, but they are MOIST. Buy it. Try it.

The cake is delicious and the icing is good but a bit too much icing per cupcake. The cheesecakes were very good also. Fudge brownie cheesecake was the best flavor and the bananas foster cupcake was the best flavor cupcake!

Oh My GOSH! The cupcakes here are to die for!!! The cheesecakes here are literally the best dessert I’ve ever eaten. I’m so glad I decided to check this place out. I’d 100% recommend stopping here. (The turtle cheesecake is my personal favorite).

4 cupcakes for $17, expected for the flavor, time to prepare and visually appealing decorations. The kiddos eyes get very big and then they smile from the time of ordering to the time of finishing their last crumb. Fun stop on our way out of East Lansing.

We love Gigi's!!! My daughter absolutely loves the come here and pick out her special treat. I love that they have the mini cupcakes perfect for small children and the variety packs! The strawberry cheesecake is my go to! My husband recently tried the chocolate Oreo and it was amazing. I have a great experience each time we come! Definitely worth every penny! The perfect icing ratio to cupcake and very photo worthy!

Sooo good! I went there for the first time this past weekend to get a couple of special cupcakes for my birthday. I bought one each of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, the Lemon Blueberry, and the Wedding Cake. They were beautifully decorated, nice and moist, and tasted delicious. We're lucky to have them in East Lansing! I highly recommend them and will be placing an order for cupcakes at my next event for sure. Oh, and they gave us free candles! That was really appreciated because I only needed two and didn't want to buy a whole box of them.

The food here was very good. The atmosphere was really nice, and the waitress was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the fish and chips...the portions they give you are well worth what you pay for. Out of the two deserts we tried (carrot cake and bread pudding), we all loved the bread pudding.

Terrific pub for a bite to eat and a tasty beverage. The fish and chips with the shrimp was fantastic. Perfectly crispy fried. Top notch tater tots too! Blackened salmon is amazing as well. Fried corn was delicious and fun! Nice cocktails to wet your whistle.

The Old Bag of Nails has a great atmosphere, and the service was top notch. Tried the Spinach and Artichoke dip, shrimp Po-Boy, and Cowboy burger. The food was good, nothing wowed us with it, feels like the Po-Boy is missing something to be great. But overall good food. Wish their was a drink menu to look at, but had good options from what we could see at the bar. Really want to come back to try their fish and chips. Parking is kinda bad, just be patient you'll find a spot.

Been visiting my son across this place last school year and did not stop by. Now I had an opportunity and place is pretty good, during the summer easy parking. Food was great: the French onion and a salad with salmon was what I needed.

The food was really good and yummy, the ambiance is nice, but perhaps the bathroom needs a little more attention! The service can be improved: Everything was okay ordering, I asked for a Thai wrap and a smoothie. I got my wrap, but not my smoothie, haha. I didn't receive a ticket either. It was because I asked that they seemed to remember my order had a smoothie as well. One of the employees gave it to me but it felt like he was perhaps cautious of coming close to where I was because he threw my wrap a bit hahaha and although it wasn't anything bad, I would have preferred to have it handed to me rather than a Lil toss, seems more formal if you ask me. Overall, I'd visit again because the food is so good. It's just the service that can be improved a bit.

I was given expired corn that says use by Sunday so thats gross plus the top wasnt on so it spilled all over my wrap and made it soggy which was cold anyways even though it took 10 minutes to even get my food youd think it would be hot right? Plus they didnt have regular cups so they gave me too kid sized ones. So that was my lovely 20$ dinner, cherry on top for the crappy day I was already having. ✨️

Update - Owner reached out and made things right! I appreciate all he did to make it right and correct the error. My husband went to get a smoothie Saturday morning and when he paid, they said the card didn't go through. He showed the cashier the charge pending on our bank account. The cashier just continued to say it didn't go through and so did the manager on duty though they both saw the charge pending on our bank. They didn't offer to re-run the card, ask for a different payment method, nothing.. so he left without a smoothie. The charge has been pending on our account and is now showing as processed. This 1 star and review will take less time to submit then it would for my bank to reverse the charge for an overpriced smoothie he did not get. 🤷‍♀️

I tried the Green Island Detox smoothie and it was really good—fresh and exactly as described. Staff were friendly and welcoming, making the visit even better. Definitely recommend!

I use to always come to this location but the last 3/4 times I’ve came here, the service has sucked. My smoothie I got a refund on because it literally tasted like Ice and was watery, these young kids on there are taking forever when th re isn’t even anyone else on the line and I just went there today and they took 20 mins just to give me my order and this is what it looked like messy and not even hot when I got it. Won’t be returning to this location again.

I go there in the mornings and I always get the island green no mango sub strawberry extra banana and each time I get greeted with wonderful service even though it’s early in the morning and some days you might not want to be there but I come in contact with a gentleman name Ben that works there and every time his customer service is superb your greeted with the same service by him every time and he never switches up each morning I go back and Ben is taking orders he gives you A1 service I appreciate what you do brother stay blessed…. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

When I first started going to this tropical smoothie is was amazing now it seems the workers don’t care, always forgetting food and drinks. My bf went yesterday and they forgot his smoothie I went today they forgot mine. Forgot bacon on mine and my bfs mango bacon flat bread today also. I’d go back but honestly I don’t want to drive back there. Get new workers or do better. They don’t seem to like their job.

They have an amazing mint chocolate chip milkshake! Always have.

On Saturday, September 6th, 2025, between approximately 1 and 2 PM, I witnessed a young woman working her shift alone. She was young and vibrant! I want to highlight how amazing she was in handling our large drink order. Even under pressure, she managed to assist other customers while dealing with our request. Despite one customer having a negative attitude towards her, she continued to thrive, taking other orders and completing ours efficiently. We couldn't thank her enough for the outstanding service we received—definitely deserving of 10 stars! If you are the manager at this branch, please consider giving her a great reward. That's what we call outstanding hospitality!

This was a nice ice cream shop. It was very busy, but the manager was helping out with the customers too and kept the line moving steadily. Both of my scoops were a decent size, and the ice cream had a good taste. But the best thing about this ice cream experience, the Chocolate dipped cone! It was delicious!

Why advertise a flavor on your website if you won’t be serving it? I only go to baskin robins when they are serving moms making cookies because I personally feel like it’s overpriced but I’ll splurge for a unique flavor that I love. Saw on the website that they finally had it so me and my kiddos drove over and when we got there they didn’t have it. Heard one girl tell the other girl that it was in the back but (I didn’t hear the rest) left and took the kids to QD which ended up being better because they were having a buy one get one free. Just don’t advertise something you’re not actually putting out. Drove that way for nothing.

The decor is super cute! It was our daughter's birthday so she had to pose with the wall. We had never been in so we weren't sure of our options and there were no other customers in the building at the time, so I felt that the staff being frustrated with us was a little rude. The shakes were great but for basic blended ice cream it was pricey. They had a lot of flavors and their freezer was fully stocked on cute cakes. Overall, we would go back and recommend it to others.

Newbie Michigander, I had never heard of QD. They are a staple in Lansing! It seems like there is one on every corner- Typical convenience store they do sell tobacco products, fountain drinks, lotto. They are known for their ice cream (Death by Chocolate) and their donuts. I've been overwhelming disappointed with the donuts as they don't seem fresh enough to me, but give them a try for yourself! **Edit per QD reply - I HAVE tried the French Onion Dip - I can see why it's well known - highly recommend for late night snack or bringing to a party! The donuts are fresh and I continue to try them and purchase as my kids love them, however I grew up in Indiana and developed a different perception on fresh based on local business. Don't let my taste buds decide for you!

Went to the qd to get coffee this morning and they were out of the darkroom. This is the only kind I like from qd. Told the workers they were out...went back shortly after and they refused to make more. They just stood. Behind the counter talking....I will not be going back to qd again....theirs no customer service here and most employees don't care enough to do their jobs. I'm done. 30 mins of my life I won't get back. Hope you correct this gor your future customers.

If I could give a zero I would. I just got yelled at by the African American lady for asking for ice cream. She was cussing at me and refused to service me when I said "ok" and went and got a pint of already packaged ice cream. I am a regular there unfortunately live nearby. The man with the silver hair and beard is great, and I've never had an issue with other employees. The date was 5-13-22 and time was @11:30.

This is not the place to stop for coffee on the way to work. You will wait at the counter (with nobody else in front of you) for five minutes watching employees carry on and complain without so much as even making eye contact or pretending to start ringing you up. It's like nobody works there, they just hang out behind the counter.

This is one of the rougher Quality Dairys (although they could all do with renovation). The clerks are friendly but can be a little rough around the edges. The clerks are nicer than the people at the one down the street at Cedar and Saginaw. What I don't like about this Quality Dairy is the number of panhandlers that swarms this place. Like I live a block away, but will drive to this QD just so that bums do not follow me home asking me for fifty cents or for some kid to ask me to buy them some smokes.

I have been going to QD for over 45 years...for coffee, hand-crafted ice cream cones, milk, their huge selection of ice cream pints and my favorite-DONUTS! QD Donuts, muffins, croissants & pastries are (& always have been) amazing! There's quite a selection! You have to be quick & get there early if you have a favorite! They go fast! Oh yes, QD orange juice has always been a classic too in our household.

Your hours say you're open till 2:00. People are walking and biking from miles away to get there. Only to find out you closed early?? I know people that bikes for a while, and walked for miles....so then what? You know this location, nothing is open near by at this time...THATS WHY THEY COME TO YOU!!?

These baristas are awesome! They put a smile on my face every morning, they're energetic, they take an interest in my day (or at least how I expect it to go). I've visited multiple Biggby in the area and used to work at one, if I ever decided to go back it would be to this store!

Easily one of the best Biggby locations around, in no small part to the wonderful work of Shelby, Damon, Brandy, Arabelle, and Chloe, among so many other wonderful people who make this location special!

Love this store! Brandy is amazing... Always welcoming and kind. I meet with friends there once a week and she makes each visit better :) Great store and great staff!

I go to Biggby's on MLK several times a day. Shelby and the crew do a great job. They all know my name and order. Great team!!!

Great store to come to. Staff is so friendly and always has a smile on their faces. Also great memories the staff has, haven’t visited in a few months but they still remembered our order like the back of their hand.

Such a great deli - exactly the sort of place Lansing has been missing for so long. Unfortunately it can be a hard place to spot due to the enormous apartment complex sign that hangs above the door. I had driven by their location countless times and had never noticed the sandwich shop! I hope the building owners can do something about that garish sign - and help out these great small business owners. (PS: we nearly ate all of our food before the idea to take a photo hit).

My wife had heard about this place for a while so we came in just to try it out and we're not disappointed. The sandwich I think I had the Edna was really good I really love the flavor enjoyed the vibe of the place. My wife had the shrimp sub it was kind of bland but I feel like my turkey sandwich made up for it. I will definitely eat here again

This is always a go-to spot for me whenever I’m in Lansing. I absolutely love their Vegan Margaret and their vegan ice cream offerings. It is always a treat whenever they have a new vegan sundae! I really appreciate how the full menu is either vegan or not, a rare find when trying to hunt down a vegan place that still has options for all diets. The staff is also a highlight, they remember your name and the owner is very friendly. I recommend this spot for anyone!

Absolutely worth stopping in. Small quaint, friendly Affordable and they make one delicious sandwich loaded full of meat and veggies. The bread is delicious.

Was dying to try their lobster roll. Did not disappoint! I ordered the Maine lobster roll and it was delicious and super fresh. Ordered over the phone and was so relieved to have beat the lunch rush! I recommend ordering over the phone if you’re in a pinch!

I've been waiting years to try this food truck/retail spot. Stopped in today and was expecting to see a wide variety of cheesecake & an inviting sweet smell of desserts... When I opened the door, the overwhelming odor of old tacos hit my nose. I wanted to run out. It was the most offensive smell!! There were 4 or 5 samples of cake out. I tried 2; spent $10 on mediocre cake, and no cheesecake to be found. Beyond disappointed.

Don't sleep on this spot! Local treasure. Edit after another visit: ask before you order as they may be out of product/advertising differs from what is avaliable. 8 ounce Dubai cheesecake cup and cheesecake with the Dubai topping offered shown online. Peaked my interest. I was served a 4oz small container with these tiny pieces of cheesecake on top for an additional $3. Flavor was not there and neither was service when I inquired about the online advertising. I'll pass on another trip.

Listen I tired this for the first time over the holidays! The cookies were absolutely amazing. Fresh and warm! I also ordered the banana pudding cheesecake and a pecan cheesecake, very high level and unique. The establishment was very clean, great curbside appeal and nice decor inside. The owner and staff were super sweet and prepared for customers. No long wait and operated efficiently. I will say it was a bit on the pricey side for the cookies. $6 for two regular sized cookies seemed priced high. Especially because this was a new item added for the Holidays. However the cheesecake was right on price at $7.50 similar to the price for one slice at the actual Cheesecake Factory. Overall I would definitely recommend and shop with them again!

Had this on my list of local places to try and finally got to it today. Glad I did! I got the slutty cheesecake-Oreo in it, chocolate chip cookie on top, light caramel sauce drizzle. Husband and I both loved it. I was surprised to find they also sell fresh warm cookies! I could not resists getting peanut butter to try, they were sold out of choco chip. If you love peanut butter and peanut butter cookies, get thee to this local shop for a warm cookie! I will be going back to try other cheesecake and warm cookies.

I had heard about this place and even called once to see how much a full cheesecake cost. I was put off by the cost, but let me tell you, now I know it is absolutely worth it! I finally went and got a piece of cheesecake for my husband and I yesterday. We got the cookies and cream and a strawberry one. Both were half cake, half cheesecake. OMG!!!! This stuff is sorcery!!! The cake portion was super moist and flavorful and the cheesecake was so smooth and creamy. Together it is so delicious. I ate the cookies and cream in one sitting and I was supposed to share half with my husband! Go get yourself some, you won't regret it!

Amazing and unique cheesecakes. The cheesecake is not really heavy like some can be. They also use different crust types, which I love! I don't think I've had a cheesecake from here that used a graham cracker crust. I love seeing what new and exciting cheesecakes are being made. I've had multiple slices and even ordered a whole cheesecake. There is no cheesecake type that she can't make! Lansing is blessed to have her!

The first time I visited this café, I ordered the sea salt coconut oatmilk latte. After waiting a bit, I asked the staff about my order — she had accidentally forgotten it, but quickly made it for me and kindly gave it for free. I offered to pay (the wait wasn’t long at all), but she insisted. I was so impressed by the service — and I really loved the salted latte! I went back another time for some desserts and drinks. I ordered a matcha latte — as a big matcha fan, I’d say it was decent, not overly sweet, which I appreciated. But what truly stood out was the Basque cheesecake!!!. I’m a huge Basque cheesecake lover, and this café absolutely nailed it — just 100% perfect. The blueberry tart was also really good.

We have been frequenting Make It Sweet for the past two years, and let me tell you, this place has become a weekly stop (one of our favorite parts of our week). The Oreo shakes and Banana Carmel Cream Lattes are absolutely killer, as is the banana pudding, the macarons, the chocolate cakes, the donuts, the Nutella cookies, you name it. They’re so kind and everything is made by hand! They also offer some great gift treat boxes, group orders, and are so incredibly hard working for their customers. I cannot give a higher review for this place, and if you haven’t been there, you need to go and experience it for yourself! A local hidden gem! You HAVE TO TRY their banana cream latte. It's like having the Magnolia's banana cream pie but caffeinated in a latte form lol. If your looking for a treat that is French-inspired with a touch of Asian creativity and beauty, I highly recommend this place. If you're visiting Lansing/East Lansing, stopping by this place should be on your schedule 😀. Few other recommendations: 1) Financier cake: coffee hazelnut and earl grey are the perfect size and texture. Not too sweet, yet moist and buttery. I love all almond-based cakes, and this didn't disappoint. 2) Basque Cheesecakes (not in pic): It's a cheesecake that isn't overwhelmingly thick. If you've had Japanese cheesecakes, it's very similar. The texture is somewhere between fluffy and creamy. 3) Macarons: This isn't the trader joes or costco macarons. It's a perfect balance of chewy and sweet. They also offer creative flavors like the churro flavor. 4) Dalgona coffee: Don't waste your precious time making dalgona (it is a Korean delicacy that appeared on Squid game). Just grab your dalgona coffee from here. I like this better than brown sugar coffee. What's amazing is their price point for such quality. I usually do grab and go, but the place has cute, instagrammable seating areas too. Highly recommend!

I ordered the strawberry cremburelee cake for a coworkers birthday celebration and the entire office cannot stop talking about how delicious the cake was! The staff was polite and attentive when I ordered/picked up the cake and the entire experience was A++

I had a great experience here, the servers Meena and Molly were amazing! They were kind, polite, quick, caring and created a welcoming environment! Their customer service is a 10/10! I would definitely recommend this place if you are around town, their strawberry matcha is wonderful!

The food and drink here are so good! The staff weren’t very welcoming. There were so many missed opportunities for the staff to engage with customers and create a positive environment. They seemed to go through the motions of ringing up your order with no explanation of their loyalty program or any other engagement. We felt like we were disturbing their conversations and interrupting them rather than feeling like we were welcome. Great products, but some customer service training for staff would go a long way.

Amazing flavors!! The taro is the best! Toppings are different than your average froyo place and really yummy! The restaurant itself is kind of grimy. The couch has to go, it’s just plain gross. The entrance needs a good wipe down.

I came in at 1:40 on Saturday January 25th. I paid and accidentally spilled my cup and half of my topping went all over the counter. The girl working the counter did not offer help or napkins and just sat there in silence while I tried to clean my mess and it made me highly uncomfortable. I lost half my toppings and she didn’t offer to let me get more. I work in customer service and I would’ve never just stood there, I would’ve offered my help.

DO NOT GET FRUIT TOPPINGS HERE!!!!! Unfortunately I got really bad food poisoning after getting kiwi and strawberries on my frozen yogurt this past weekend at this location. Will never be visiting again, very disappointed with my experience.

SO MANY TOPPINGS! and it is so clean inside, cleaner than 99% of establishments and staff is lovely. the flavors are great, but subtle. if youre expecting in your face flavors then this is not your place, but i love the subtle flavors and the toppings definitely make up for it. taro and snickerdoodle are my personal favorite flavors!

Very good me personally I'm a ice cream guy the yogurt tastes like the flavors that it says I just didn't pick the right flavors and I got a brain freeze so quickly but overall good place.

The Yougert and huge variety of toppings is great. The atmosphere is lacking. $20 for one very full large, medium and a small.

They did an amazing job with the cake for my 21st birthday. I showed them my inspo and they absolutely delivered, looked identical to the photo! They also had very affordable prices, and had a quick turnaround. I highly recommend!!

I used Cakes a Bloomin for my wedding cake. I didn’t live in the area so I hadn’t used them before, but I was pleasantly surprised! I gave them a photo of the cake I wanted and it turned out just like it! The marble cake with buttercream icing as very good!

This place is amazing!! They seriously go above and beyond for their customers! We've ordered our wedding cake, baby show cake and 1 year old smash cakes from them. They do a great job with paying attention to the details! I explain to them my vision and everytime they out do themselves. Also the cakes always taste delicious! I cant ever say thank you enough. I will use them for all my cake orders! ❤

This cake was perfect from the taste to the design. My son loved it! They exceeded our expectations. I have been coming here for years for birthday cakes and will continue to do so for many years to come. The top tier was marble and the bottom was strawberry. The frosting was perfect and not too sweet. Thank you soooo much!!

Cakes-A-Bloomin’ made a stunning cake for my mother’s wedding! It was delicious and I am so appreciative that they were able to craft it with less than a month’s notice. Everything was arranged over the phone which was very convenient. I couldn’t believe the quality, flavor, and beauty of a cake that only cost $180! They did a wonderful job.

I was so impressed by their cupcakes that I ordered for my employees, that I ended up getting my rehearsal dinner cupcakes and wedding macaroons and cake from here as well. All items we've order have been out of this world delicious, and we don't even like cake. The macaroons especially were a big hit with our wedding guests. The customer service was excellent - everyone was very kind and responsive. However, I have to take my review down from 5 stars to 4 stars because we were so disappointed by the cake decorating. We had originally asked for just a modern white cake, and then asked them to add the words "at last" on the top. Below you will see the two photos sent to them via email, with explicit instructions. I confirmed twice over the phone that we would be placing live flowers on the cake. I even explicitly said I did not want any frosting flowers. They added both a frosting border at the bottom (making it not modern/sharp lines) and a pipe floral wreath, which looked very fake/bad before we tried to cover it up with the live flowers. We ended up not being able to display the cake - the changes they made to the design took it from simple, but elegant modern wedding cake, to a grocery store cake. The taste is out of this world, but we were extra diligent about sending photos, confirming, and explicitly stating what we wanted, and the baker took some liberties they should not have. It was really disheartening. Highly highly recommend for birthday, office treats, special celebrations, but maybe not for weddings. Or be extra careful with instructions/their display cake styles.

Terrific experience. Very friendly. Great communication. I dropped them a question online about cupcakes and Lisa promptly responded the next business day. When I spoke to her on the phone, I told her that, regrettably, the order had changed and, rather than cupcakes, I needed to make a few calls to see about getting a Black Forest gâteau. She laughed and said they do that too. ... Boy howdy, do they ever. The cake was perfect. The frosting was light. They had the perfect amount of cherry syrup in-between layers. Rich, delectable, and absolutely delicious. Calling this "on point" would be an understatement. We will definitely be back.

Fluffernutter blizzard is fantastic, but I found out after waiting in line between ordering and paying that they don't have Misty Freezes anymore. Super disappointed, especially since it's still on the drive through menu

They were very well organized and very quick on serving my order. Plenty of help inside to facilitate a rush if they had I need for it. We miss our Dairy Queen that closed near Waverly and Saginaw intersection.

Be careful eating at this one because if you don't leave a tip they put stuff in your food. I had the audacity to pay with a credit card and the girl on cash who was of the clear persuasion alwith blonde hair was saying to me thank you real creepy tone and staring at me. My chocolate cone tasted a lot different than usual and afterwards I had a stomach ache. This is the dairy Queen of my youth and the food always used to taste fantastics from the chili dogs to the ice cream, but it doesn't taste the same anymore .They usually hire a lot of teenagers that usually don't give a darn and are not being closely watched. I've also noticed that a lot of people are not going to them like they used to in years past. I guess most people are going to dairy Dan or Culver's for better food and service.

Ice cream was great what else can I say and the people we're nice ☺️

We waited for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement that we were even there. Then another person walked in and was promptly helped and left. We still weren’t even acknowledged. Apparently because I’m not black, I don’t get treated nicely at Dairy Queen? This place is a joke and recommend that no one shop there.

Coworkers are very nice and friendly. Fast service. Great blizzards. Fair prices. Just FYI, there is a drive-thru, which I guess I never realized until I pulled up and walked inside!! Ice cream cakes readily available to purchase. No complaints here!!🙂

When spending $20+ on ice cream you expect it to be right. Employees didn’t know what base of ice cream was supposed to go with what flavor. I get two of the wrong ice cream flavors and you don’t know until you drive off and take a bite. Very upset

I ordered a gender reveal cake from this location and it turned out so cute! Angela was my point of contact and she went above and beyond to make sure it was exactly what we wanted and the team managed to keep it a secret from us! Angela even included a sweet note wishing us well with the new baby. It was well-priced, finished in 24 hours, and delicious! Highly recommend!

Went to drive their drive thru, the lady was polite. The ice cream was almost $6.00 for a peanut buster parfait! Then it was super sweet way more chocolate sauce than ice cream. I won't go back.

My husband and I went to this location on free cone day at approx 7:30, There was a car parked & not running, no person inside at the drive through ordering speaker. We thought it was odd, We followed about 3 cars through the drive thru, While waiting to get back onto main road, We were stopped at the pickup window, Where i glanced over and seen total darkness and about three people hiding behind and under counters. How absolutely ridiculous, not only did someone park a car in front of the ordering speaker, close early, leave no sign, & some workers were in the parking lot acting a fool with what i assume is friends, they HID IN THE STORE! I’m glad to say my husband and I took our service over to Twisters, where we got excellent service and great ice cream. I’ll never attempt to go to this dairy queen again.

Google said both stores were open until 9. Went to both one was closed for winter the other was closed permanently.

The toppings were good and so was the yogurt. I liked the new Nerds gummies. We did have to wait a bit to check out because the cashier was in the back for a while.

After finding this place, and spending around 20$ per visit, I have been visiting this place a few times a week. Tonight was by far the absolute worst. It looked like they were out of my favorite flavor vanilla. I asked the young lady if it was out. She said she thought it was out, and didn't know when they would have it again. So I chose another flavor. I always bring my boyfriend the dole pineapple, and the lady before me said it was coming out real slow. The girl went to the back and said it was just coming out slow. I tried the lever and it wasn't coming out. She said she didn't know what was wrong. Upon my checkout with one flavor that wasn't that great, and since they were actually out of 3 flavors, I reluctantly paid for my one cup and asked for a receipt so I could ask a manager what was going on. She then apologized, and told me she had a headache. I'm not sure I will be back to this place. If they couldn't be bothered to answer any of my questions, I can spend my money elsewhere.

Great service, they ask if you have been there so they know if you need help or not. Is completely self serve and lots of flavors and toppings. The inside is clean and has a fair amount of seating. Also it was delicious !!!!!

Every time we come we have a great experience the staff are always so polite. The frozen yogurt is great. You are allowed to taste the different flavors before purchasing. Your pay based on the scales of how many items you put into each bowl. I have always purchased the chocolate covered strawberries from the refrigerator area. During the holidays they have different themes for the strawberries like Rudolph. Overall definitely recommend.

Good yogurt but it’s wild to me when I’m asked to tip an employee doing nothing but ringing me up at the cash register.
