Seafood restaurant
MacDaddy's Family Kitchen is a go-to spot in Port Aransas, Texas for those craving delicious Southern comfort food and BBQ. The restaurant offers a relaxed environment with craft beers on tap, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a satisfying meal. Known for its sizable standby, MacDaddy's serves up Texas barbecue platters featuring a variety of options such as brisket, fried fish, and pulled pork.
Great food! My family and I come from San Antonio and we love Port A and have never heard of Mac Daddy’s! It’s been awhile since we’ve back to the coast. My son and I had fun in the gift shop and the merchandise was very reasonably priced. The toys are fun to play with. My husband got the burger and fries, my son got the fries, Mac n cheese and pulled pork, and I got the jalapeño cheddar sausage with broccoli on the side. Don’t forget your kids get free ice cream👍🏻 May the Lord God bless you “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our waiter Joshua was fantastic! He had a great attitude and was very accommodating throughout the night! The food selection isn't very detailed on the menus provided. There isn't a very wide selection of seafood entrees and is more of a barbecue spot if you ask me. The portions were very generous! The blackened fish and shrimp were delicious! The fried seafood platter had a little too much breading for my liking and the broccoli was a little too watery as well. Pretty great spot for big parties! Had over 20 people in our group, and even though we sat outside it wasn't too bad with all of the fans and breeze in the evening.

We got blackened shrimp and a 2-meat plate. The shrimp was delicious. The BBQ had good smoke flavor. They have 2 kinds of BBQ sauce on the table. One reminds me of a Carolina sauce. The other is closer to a Texas sauce but it has an interesting spice to it, just enough enough to add a kick, not overpowering. The pinto beans were excellent. Enjoyed eating outside on the deck.
G B — Google review
Professional service. The food was amazing. I had the smoked turkey and jalapeno cheddar sausage plus the cream jalapeno corn and fries. He had the brisket and jalapeno cheddar sausage, mashed potatoes and cornbread. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. The quality of the meat was great and flavor delicious. Will absolutely be going back.
Mina D — Google review
We visited this spot recently and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the food was genuinely good — flavorful and served in generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The ambiance was pleasant, and there was ample parking available on a weekday, though I can imagine weekends might get pretty crowded. Our waitress was lovely — attentive and kind, checking in both before and after our meal to make sure everything was to our liking. That kind of service really makes a difference. Unfortunately, our experience at the front desk was disappointing. The woman who greeted us was noticeably rude and dismissive, which made us feel unwelcome. There was an uncomfortable undertone to the interaction that felt, frankly, a bit discriminatory. It cast a shadow over what could have been a great visit. Overall, the food and table service were commendable, but the front-of-house experience needs serious improvement. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously — every guest deserves to feel welcome from the moment they walk in.
Thulasi G — Google review
It's great bro! The corn bread is amazing and the brisket was on point tender and juicy. Notice my Blue Hawaiian 🍸 🧉 👌🏼 Atmosphere was cool, very Texas and very beachy! The only issue i experienced was it was a bit hot in the restaurant. I didn't want to sit outside because it was hot but we probably should have maybe the breeze would have been better. We were sweating it was pretty warm in August.
Jose-Claudia M — Google review
Tasty food, good waiter. Mixed drink was very well made! A nice stop if you're in the area! Outdoor seating is available, along with a ramp for accessibility access.
Jonathon W — Google review
We had lunch at MacDaddy’s on Sunday. The wait for an inside table was long while seating outside was immediate. The weather was hot but sitting under the covered porch was surprisingly comfortable. The porch area had some large fans that kept the air moving so it was nice to be outside under the porch roof. The food was good. I had the MacDaddy burger and it was really good. Everyone at our table also said their food was good. Our server Joshua was also exceptional. He wasn’t the helicopter server but always seemed to pop up right when we needed something. He was funny, helpful and a great source of local information. And he seemed to take pride in his work. You don’t find many employees like that anymore so we hope to sit at his table the next time we are in Port A. Good food, atmosphere, fair prices, and attentive, pleasant employees, what more can you ask for?

Seafood restaurant
Seafood & Spaghetti Works is a casual and spacious eatery that has been a traditional dining spot in Port A for decades. The restaurant offers a wide variety of menu options, including homemade pizzas, classic Italian pastas, and an array of seafood dishes. It is known for its expansive menu that caters to everyone's tastes, from steaks and fish tacos to pizza, pasta, and burgers.
From the moment we walked in, it was an amazing welcome home, friendly atmosphere. Shelby was our server for the evening and did an amazing job and anticipated all our needs. I know this may sound crazy, but it was like, we were about to ask for things and we'd look up and she was bringing to the table. We brought our catch of the day. Nick their chef prepared two dishes for us, the first, he used our drum fish and created pasta and mussels in a white cream sauce that was absolutely delicious. Nick also prepared an incredible drum fish, shrimp Asian dish that was absolutely delicious. all in all the experience was one we wont forget!!! We will definitely be telling all our friends. We can't wait to come back as soon as possible.

We had an amazing time at the Seafood and Spaghetti restaurant in Port Aransas! It’s the perfect spot for families — relaxed, welcoming, and super kid-friendly. The portions are huge, so come hungry! Every dish was full of flavor — from the seafood pasta to the fried shrimp, everything tasted homemade. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere for the whole family.
Matt A — Google review
We started off with chicken tortilla soup and a salad It was good. For our appetizer, we had the stuffed mushrooms. I don’t recommend they had no flavor and it was mostly mushroom . We both had the seafood feast which was very good. We really enjoyed the boiled shrimp. Our service ok they were pretty busy.

This place is so good! You get very good portions and the food is delicious! We also got the truffle fries for an appetizer that were amazing! The staff was all very friendly from the host, servers and bussers! I will definitely be back! Thank you!!
Courtney M — Google review
This is a tough one- some things (like the Italian Food) were great. The calamari appetizer was huge. It did cost $19.99 but I've never seen such a generous serving in an appetizer, and it was delicious and served with ranch and marinara. We also had Ahi Tuna Poke @ $22.99 both were shared with the table . Three gentlemen in our party had lasagna. It looked delicious and all three said it was very good. One of my grandsons ordered Fettuccini Alfredo w/Shrimp $28.99 My daughter-in-law ordered the Chicken Parmesan, but wanted Alfredo sauced fettuccine instead of spaghetti with marinara. $22.99 -the substitution was $4.99. This is when things got dicey as they brought her the dish as described in the menu, not how she ordered it. They immediately returned it to the kitchen. About 10 minutes later, they came out with a dish of fettuccine Alfredo-she dug in and tasted her first bite, and it was cold-so back it went again. Thankfully, the third time was the charm, and the fettuccine Alfredo was edible. Sadly, my daughter-in-law had become frustrated. She was really not able to enjoy her meal so took most of it home. Since I had suggested this place, I felt pretty bad as well. I had Joe's Fish Plate- a Perfectly grilled piece of mahi mahi with an intriguing blue cheese sauce. A small serving of Pasts w/ chopped Shrimp, bacon, & asparagus sauce . $32.99 We also ordered a four piece order of garlic toast, which was $4.99. All of the above meals came with either soup or salad. If you wanted both soup and salad, there would be an additional charge of $4.99. Most of us ordered the homemade chicken noodle soup which the server highly recommended. Two of us ordered salads and both dressings were delicious. I suspect they were homemade. Our server after quite a long delay before taking our orders did a good job once the meal had been served . It felt like they didn’t have adequate staff for the volume of diners. There was a woman wandering around between the table, stopping every now and then to talk to a patron- she didn’t happen to come by our table, but I do think that that’s a positive as I suspect she was a manager. I honestly don’t know if we would come back, but I really hate to judge a restaurant on a one time dine in so we’ll see . Meanwhile, I would recommend coming early if you’re going to dine in here as it’s quite a large property and they are serving many guests.

Great place! Had the truffle pizza, with arugula and fresh mozzarella, and you can tell it is made intentionally. The crust is one of the best I’ve had, great texture and flavor, and the truffle is not overwhelming; it complements the rest of the pizza. Also had the crab stuffed mushrooms, and they were good but pretty wet (of course).

Second time and all of the wins of the first visit. Blue Moon was available for the hubs-Big win! And I had the Port A SeaBreeze. Perfect and refreshing! We split a crab cake and it did not disappoint. House salads were just right-loved the homemade ranch dressing. Chef’s special blackened fish was with the cream sauce was delish as well as the coconut shrimp. Finishing with Key lime cheesecake was just right!! Can’t wait to come back. Angela was a treat as she served us well! (Sorry! Lost the photo of the chef’s special)

Before I start let me say it was a VERY busy weekend in Port A. That said, our wait was long so make reservations EARLY if going on a Saturday night during the summer. Our waitress did a good job. We ordered and got our salads quickly. Our food took a little longer than we expected since we had a toddler with us. I ordered grilled fish tacos. The sauce was good and the fries were great. The fish was extremely skimpy, see photo. I showed the waitress and she offered to bring me another piece of fish and says they use a whole fish fillet on the three tacos. Didn't seem as though they did. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos. Each taco had TWO medium shrimp, TWO, for a whole taco. My DIL ordered the fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce was "watery" is how she described it. My son ordered the catch of the day. It was red snapper and overcooked. It came with broccoli, squash, corn and potatoes. None of it was well seasoned. The garlic bread seemed to be a sourdough and it was really good. Definitely worth ordering for sure. We ordered the fish and fries from the kid's menu for the toddler. We ALL drank water and our bill, without the tip, was $112. It might have been not as good as other reviews due to being so busy, but for the price, we were disappointed.

It’s not often you find a coffee place that has a whole “nutty” section on their flavors menu. The service was friendly and fast, and my iced macadamia nut toasted marshmallow iced latte was so good! Will def be back next time I’m in town
Sara S — Google review
Coffee Waves is a nice spot for a relaxed coffee break. The coffee was solid, and the mocha stood out — smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. I also tried both the marbled and pumpkin cake, and they were moist and flavorful without being too heavy. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making it an easy place to sit for a while and enjoy good coffee and dessert.
Charles R — Google review
This place was highly recommended and very popular. Really long line but it went by pretty fast. My latte was not good, but blaming that on the non fat milk? My bf got an iced Carmel macchiato that was much better! Lots of options to pick from
Callie W — Google review
Very popular spot, always busy. The coffee was good. We had a coffee and a matcha. The matcha was already sweetened, which I didn’t expect. They didn’t ask, and it would be helpful if they mentioned that ahead of time. It felt like one of those pre-sweetened mixes, which usually means the matcha itself isn’t the best quality. Prices are a bit higher compared to the mainland, but that’s pretty normal around here. Overall, a decent place. The muffin we had was actually really good
Elena L — Google review
Nice little coffee shop and gelato shop on the island. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I stopped by for lunch and ordered the pepper house Beef and ice americano. Really good sandwich. Warm and spicy. Too me is perfect. Americano was great as well. Gelato bar was nice as well. Definitely will come back again when we are on the island.
Alex U — Google review
Smells great as you enter. All the different coffees but disappointed their breakfast croissants are premade. This is not a croissant bread but a toasted white bread. Frozen Sausage and egg. Should have just went to McDonald’s. I like their McGriddles better.
J — Google review
Wow was this place a disappointment. I asked to get my egg and cheese on a bagel rather than a croissant which was not possible. I don’t understand why it wasn’t but that was fine. We waited 25 minutes for our food to come out and the bagel pictured is what I received. It was hardly toasted and almost soggy feeling. And I had to put the cream cheese on myself so no idea why it took so long since my boyfriend only got the tomato basil which also had no meat… While we waited we saw the girl making food grab a spoonful of the gelato and eat it with the spoon hanging out of her mouth while she cooked food, her front hair pieces out and no gloves. Just overall not a great experience.

The pizzeria is known for its delicious food, salad options, and mastery in crafting pizzas that exceed expectations. Their buffet menu includes a variety of innovative dishes such as pizza, calzones, pasta, salad, soup, dessert, and fountain drinks.
The staff are friendly and the buffet is surprisingly good. The restaurant was well maintained, the buffet was constantly refreshed and you can request a specific pizza. Drinks and dessert were good. The game area is cool. Location is good in downtown Port Aransas right off the main strip. Definitely recommend for laid back family dining.

Fast and friendly buffet spot near the beach, it was packed when we arrived, but the fresh pizza kept being put out. The prices are a good bang for the buck, and fair, $7 for kids, $13 for adults with the drunk included. Their buffet offers a wide variety of pastas and pizza combos as well as ice-cream to end the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed this place
Raquel M — Google review
Your staple diner atmosphere with amazing buffet prices. All of the pizza is great, and the desert pizzas are top tier. Some of the pasta options were not the greatest, but everything else made up for it. Good amount of seating room, with a game room as well. The staff get new pizzas and side out at a quick pace so never much waiting around for your favorite pizza to restock.

Thank you for being open on Sunday afternoon. We were coming back from a visit to Rockport Fulton and many restaurants were closed along the way. The pizza here reminds me of Mr. Gatti's back home. Great pizza. Great ranch. Great cold salad bar. Friendly staff. Very clean. Much appreciated.

The pizza is amazing! And they have TWO sizes for gluten free. My daughter got the mac & cheese and said it wasnt very cheesy or good. Shes a foody too. They were much quicker than anticipated and the greek salad was perfect!

For as many years as we have been coming to Port A, little did we know that this place even existed! Stumbled on it by accident and we have been back 3 times in a month. Friendly staff, delicious pizza & great wings! Sometimes there is a long wait, but definitely worth it!

We got our pizza to go and had a date night on the beach to catch the sunset. I highly recommend this for couples looking for a fun date night. But buffet looked great, customer service was top notch and the pizza and wings were very very gd. Think we’ll try thin crust next time cause it’s what we usually order but wanted to try their hand tossed and was not disappointed! Their parm garlic wings were sooo gd. Not crispy, but they were also not dried out, juicy and full of flavor!

They only accept cash, and wait times can vary depending on when you visit—but it’s absolutely worth it. (ATM Is available in store) The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the ice cream is incredibly delicious, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. Plus, the walls are decorated with photos of their dogs, which adds such a charming and personal touch! I really loved seeing their dogs pictures and the other decor was all so cute.

This little place is so cute! I love the decor, atmosphere and desserts! Fantastic coffee shakes, warm brownie sundae was amazing! Cheesecake with strawberry drizzle was delish!! Bring your appetite because nothing is small, you definitely get what you pay for! Cash only, they have atmosphere, if you don't like to carry cash. 2thumbs high, highly recommend!
Jennifer C — Google review
Awesome spot to get a cold treat and hang out after a long day on the beach- s which is what we did! Bala split is massive so I recommend only off your splitting it. Their hot fudge Sundays are also awesome. Great atmosphere. Your served by teenagers so the indifference and moodiness and lack of love out attention is to be expected. But the ambiance and great desserts and treats makes it all worth it!
Stephen M — Google review
If you want ice cream - this is the place to go and has been a round quite a while! They only take cash or Venmo however. There is a ATM inside to get cash however it wasn’t working for me when I tried so glad they accept Venmo. Shakes, ice cream and desserts, it’s a great place to try if you’ve never been.
LONI J — Google review
The ice cream was good . I had the brownie Sunday my kids got a regular ice cream cone. The place looked nice , cute the staff was nice . We got there 30min before closing .
Suley R — Google review
Cash only. They had several Blue Bell flavors to choose from and regular or waffle cones plus various types of sundaes they make. We didn't see anyone get a sundae, but it looked like those started at about$9-10. It's pricey for just regular ice cream, IMO. Four of us got single scoops, two with cones, two just in the throw away paper bowls and it was $21, before you consider the tip jar. They were nice but next time we'll just hit the grocery store for ice cream.

The Key Lime Sundae was amazing! It was enough for two but I’m throwing hands if anyone tries to share my sweets.

Start your day with a delectable treat from Donut Palace, offering an array of mouthwatering options like Boston Creme, Apple Fritters, Bear Claws, and classic glazed donuts. If you're in need of some protein to balance the sweetness, they also serve breakfast sandwiches. While it may be a bit pricey, the fresh and high-quality donuts make it worth the visit.
I love "Mom and Pop" shops when it comes to food. The apple fritter is wonderful along with a sour cream style cake donut if I'm saying it right. The breakfast croissants were good as well. You have to pay attention to pricing: The better the donut, the higher the price you'll pay.

Very yummy and lots of options, sweet and savory. Prices are reasonable and there's many drink options as well. I love the apple fritter. It's really big and I can never finish it haha. The sausage, cheese, with jalapeno pig in the blanket is good too. Red bulls here are cheaper than at the store. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

The coffee is watery the prices on google aren’t updated so beware he didn’t acknowledge me Didn’t say good morning to me didn’t tell me I’ll be with you in a second. He organized donuts and took his time then took my order. Didn’t offer me receipt. I’m from out of town so it just didn’t give a light.

Dang, who doesn't like a High Quality Donut?? I know I do! Up from South Padre Island for a getaway and was craving some donut action. The bakery has a line and they were bringing out fresh product while we waited. Kinda expensive but Joe did that. The fritters and cream filled are the 💣 B . Is this establishment as good as Top Donut in Fredericksburg?? ( Currently #1 ) Simple answer, No. Are we in the Texas Hill County? No. After extensive scientific research , These Donuts get 8 outa 10. Possibly even more since SPI aint got a Donut shop. Plotted. SCOUTS OUT.
Kurt M — Google review
Very much mid. Apple fritter could have been much better with spices and was kind of doughy, not very crunchy even in the edge. The jalapeño pig n blankets are marked with a very questionable obviously died green edible thing. The person working was very short with me and even after putting the pig n blanket in microwave was cold. Here’s what’s left

The Donut Palace knows how to handle a crowd! Even though it was very busy, the line moved quickly and efficiently. The staff clearly knows how to keep things running smoothly. The donuts were fresh and tasty, and the kolaches were delicious as well. A great spot for a quick, satisfying breakfast!

We were here on Memorial Day weekend so it was really busy. There was quite a line, but it moved pretty fast. Shipley's is still my favorite, but this food was almost as good.

I needed coffee and a glazed donut - score! The donut selection was pretty limited and the coffee was average, but that's all I wanted.

We were thrilled to discover a restaurant in Port A that offered takeout. Despite the high demand in mid-July, we ordered our food and were not hurried. The staff even notified us when our order was ready! My spouse and I shared a delectable pizza alongside a Greek salad. The salad boasted ample toppings and a delightful basic vinaigrette. As for the pizza, it was perfectly balanced with an abundance of ingredients.
Dylan’s Pizzeria is an absolute gem in Port Aransas! We’ve dined here several times, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The pizza is delicious crispy, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. The wings are packed with flavor, and the Greek salad is fresh and satisfying. Even when there’s a bit of a wait, it’s totally worth it. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and top-notch food. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Lucian was our host for lunch🔥. We ordered the Bianca with pepperoni, the Caesar salad and lemon and herb wings. Everything tasted phenomenal. Caesar was great. Wings were delicious and the pizza was to die for. Bianca, we added pepperoni and let’s just say it definitely was Worth everybody bite! The Caesar salad was enough to feed 3 to 4 people. This place is a must try good atmosphere good food. If I could give it more stars, I would.

Absolutely perfect experience! Delicious authentic pizza & wings! We got the margarita, Bianca & pepperoni, Chicken parm & the chicken wings! Ordered take out, was ready so fast! Friendly fast service! New favorite restaurant at cinnamon shore!

By far the best pizza in Port A. Hidden gem in Cinnamon Shores. I am kicking myself for not exploring earlier in the season. My husband ordered chicken Parmesan and we shared a Greek salad because it was so big. It was perfectly delicious. We could barely eat the pizza we were so full. But it was sooooooo good. It will be our go to place for sure!

We came in as a big group, and our waiter Joshua was incredibly patient and provided excellent service. The pizza really hit the spot after a day at the beach. Such a great coastal pizza joint tucked in the cute Cinnamon Shore vacation community.

Such a fun establishment. We enjoyed the outdoor seating while we were here. The food and service were excellent. During our stay, there was also a live band playing in the center courtyard area for the 4th of July. The pizza, pasta, and desert were so delicious.

Cute little spot on the north side of Cinnamon Shore! We took the golf cart over from the south side for lunch and it was totally worth it. Loved watching the staff prep the dough and bake the pizzas fresh—so fun to see! The pizza was flavorful, light, and delicious. Definitely coming back!

Ordered 4 pizzas and 2 desserts for pick up. An hour later I showed up to pick up my order and was told there was a “mix-up” with one of my pizzas and it had to be made. Meanwhile I could see my other 3 pizzas and 2 desserts sitting on the counter. I said, “so my other pizzas are just going to sit there and get cold while it takes you another 15 minutes to cook my last one?” The hostess just shrugged. So basically, I had 3 cold pizzas and one hot pizza(which was made incorrectly btw). The “hot” donuts were soggy and cold and the tiramisu was completely melted. I reheated the pizzas once I got home and they were low-mediocre quality. I paid over $100 for slightly better than Papa John’s quality pizza and store-bought melted tiramisu. Tried to contact management but , not surprisingly, no reply. I’ll take my family somewhere that cares about their customers.

Not such a good service we went today 7/31/25 around 1pm one of the young lady’s had a attitude when we were ordering. My husband got a banana split and she made faces so I gave her a look like what’s the problem. She never asked what kind of ice cream he wanted she just a sum . He asked her if he was able to pick the ice cream and she told him yes rolling her eyes and attitude. The other girl helped me , I got two ice cream cones and payed I just wanted to get out of there. Not a good vibe in that place and I will not go back . Sorry but that was not good service at all atleast from the one that did the banana slip.

Nestled in the charming town of Port Aransas, Island Bakery is a delightful full-service bakery that has transformed from its previous identity as Iries Island Food. This inviting spot specializes in an array of baked goods, including their signature cruffins—a delicious fusion of croissants and muffins—alongside homemade breads and scrumptious pastries. Founded in 2013 by Martin Frannea and Nicole, this bakery reflects their passion for baking and love for island life.
They had the best food on the island when they were on the main drag! The bakery is just as good! Those chocolate chip cookies are the best I’ve ever had! And everything I’ve tried is excellent! They do have lunch too!

We were on our way back to Houston so stopped here and got the chocolate mousse, sourdough bread and raspberry shortbread cookie - the cookie was okay didn’t seem too fresh. Mousse was good and their sourdough seemed fresh and good. There was a short line. I think a fresh paint and a deep clean would be a good idea just to make the bakery more appealing.

Absolutely delicious! The kahuku with chicken and all the sauce options is so good. The cream filled croissant is pretty and tasty! We had tried their food back in 2019 and I became obsessed. I was super happy to find they opened a bakery, but still offered some food choices. So good for lunch! I'd like to go back to grab fresh sourdough and chicken salad.

Based on reviews, I was really hopeful for a great experience, but we must’ve hit an off night. We arrived at 7pm, grabbed a table and was able to order by 7:15pm. While we were waiting for food. I was noticing how incredibly messy the floor was inside. Customers were deciding whether to sit at tables that were cleaned off but had a mess of food and trash underneath, never touched during the whole 1.5hrs we were there. We didn’t get our food until right before 8pm. The food was pretty mediocre. The garlic shrimp “big taco” was neither big nor garlicky. The grilled shrimp had already gone cold. The sauce on the side was supposed to be butter and garlic but didn’t taste that way. If anything, my son’s grilled cheese had toasted bread that was more buttery and garlicky than my taco. The grilled tuna in the other taco had very little seasoning and sat underneath a salad. My wife’s coconut shrimp tacos was reportedly ok but the fried coconut batter would just fall off the shrimp. For a 45 min wait on the food, it was incredibly disappointing. The best meal was my son’s grilled cheese, tbh. The fries that came with the kid’s meal were pretty good too.

A little gem in Port A that's worth a visit. On our visit to Port Aransas, we sampled a variety of their pastries. Their "Cruffin" is simply to die for and so delicious. I cannot recommend that delight enough! We also had their blueberry muffins, ham and cheese kolache, shortbread cookie, and chocolate hazelnut croissant. Everything was spectacular and delicious. Just scrumptious! The customer service was spectacular as well and it's just the cutest little bakery. They offer a variety of baked goods, cakes, and even lunch. Make sure when you stop by, grab yourself a cruffin. You won't be disappointed!
Sarah J — Google review
Great concept and friendly staff. The smash burger was really good... fries, not so much... they were frozen fries and we expected fresh since it’s a “scratch” kitchen. Chicken fried rice was good, but a little plain on flavor... Chips and queso were amazing with homemade thick, made in-house chips. Hawaiian pie was good.
Travel C — Google review
Chill spot! Only downside was no soda machine but since it is a small family owned joint it is not that big of a deal! They were extremely courteous and the club sandwhich was massive. The food was very good (my mom had gotten the rice bowl with chicken). Their chocolate mousse was delicious and the perfect blend of rich and creamy to chocolate so you can enjoy it without feeling sick from it being overly sweet/rich. Will definitely eat here again! The price was also not bad, for the sandwhich, rice bowl, and 2 teas it was less than $30 (hard to find on the island)

Don’t walk, RUN HERE!!! The baked goods are exceptional! My fiancé and I came in after we passed by on our first day and I’m so happy we did! He got their jalapeño kolache and I got their coconut cream croissant. Both were amazing and fresh! We snagged a vanilla and chocolate cupcake to split for dessert tonight as well and are super excited to taste these considering how amazing the other baked items were!! 10/10 DEFINITELY WORTH THE STOP!!! UPDATE — The cupcakes were amazing!! We’re heading out of town now and stopping by in to get jalapeño kolaches and some stuffed croissants for the road! This bakery has by far beat out all the dessert shops nearby in terms of freshness and deliciousness.

Coach's Island Grill is a small, family-owned breakfast spot in Port Aransas that offers delicious pancakes and breakfast tacos. The place is known for its "best damn pancakes" with various toppings and the popular BIG breakfast taco. Despite the wait times due to limited seating, visitors find the food worth waiting for. The breakfast burrito with chorizo and the super bowl are highly recommended dishes. Customers praise the quick service, pleasant atmosphere, and good value at Coach's Island Grill.
Such a great place! They were quite busy and still got us in super quick. The food was priced amazing, super cheap for a great amount of food. Just such a good fun diner kind of environment. Our server Ashley was awesome and very accommodating to having multiple checks and just ensuring we were pleased at all time. Best for last, the pancake was absolutely phenomenal. Dare I say the best pancake I’ve ever had, and I usually don’t claim anything as the best. Very good experience on our vacation in port Aransas. Would recommend!

We have been coming to coaches since it very first opened in 2017. From the tiny little shop to where it is now, the food and service has stayed on point. Great value for price. We always get the steak and eggs, but have them make the steak like the Philly cheesesteak. Try it! You won’t regret it… best thing ever. And the Philly cheesesteak sandwich is amazing as well! Coach came up with an amazing menu and has solid staff providing great service! And even though we only come a few times a year, Tiffany always remembers us and knows how to tell them to make our breakfast!

Been here in year's past when it was the old 'hole-in-the-wall' location... good and service were better then. Stood at the hostess stand for a full 10 minutes this time before anyone even acknowledged me so we could get on the waiting list for a table. Last time, the sole waitress was spunky and funny and interacted with everyone. At the new joint, there are several wait staff, but no one interested in making people feel welcome... at least not today. We waited almost a full hour to get in, then felt rushed because other people were waiting too. We went out of our way to come here or we wouldn't have stayed.

Try the “SUPER BOWL”! Sooooo delicious! Cheesy hash browns with eggs how you like them, a meat and biscuits and gravy. Hubby had the steak and eggs- also a great choice. It was just the 2 of us on a Saturday and we had to wait about an hour… pretty busy but worth the wait. I do wish they had a better seating/ waiting area though. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

If you’re in Port A and hunting for a spot to satisfy your cravings, Coach’s is a must visit. We stopped by and were blown away by the food and vibe. The Philly cheesesteak was solid, though not quite the “world’s best” as the menu would claim. The real star was the breakfast burger - awesome, with a big patty perfectly cooked egg and all the fixings. Don’t get me started on the nachos - loaded and additive. The joint is full of memorabilia, including a bunch of Miami Dolphin gear which adds fun, sporty charm. The casual, laid back atmosphere is perfect for a beach town meal with friendly & quick service.

A fun little spot tucked into the corner of the strip center. Bar centered with amazing food to bat. Every dish including the appetizers were delicious and came out quickly. The server was amazing, attentive and friendly. Every wall of the place is covered in sports memorabilia, there is always something to look at. Overall a great meal, with awesome meal options
Noah S — Google review
Staff is nice and the place is cute, but they should have cared more and comped our bill for a FLY cooked into my son's omelet. Plus, a hair on a sausage patty and they got one order completely wrong. Really wanted to like this place. Won't be back.
Amanda A — Google review
Really good food and really great prices for the portions. Coffee was actually good for diner coffee. Fun atmosphere and kind wait staff. When it came to waiting on a table, the girls couldn’t give wait times, it was more like “there’s 4 tables in front of you” and we just had to guess how long we would be waiting (lol) but it was fine. Great breakfast. I would suggest get there between 7-730 if you don’t want to wait. We shown up at 8 on a Friday morning and waited about 10-15 minutes. When we left, the line for a table was really long. Do not go here with a large group— you won’t sit together. I’d say max of 6.

I do not have any ice cream parlors that serve Blue Bell near my home. So, when I come to the coast for vacation, it's a real treat - both for playing in the ocean AND for satisfying cravings for Blue Bell flavors that are ONLY sold in ice cream parlors (eg. red velvet cake, black cherry)! The young lady who worked the weekend shift during Sandfest 2025 treated me and my friends with smiles, good humor and kindness. MUCH APPRECIATED!

Drove up with the “Open” sign glowing and an hour before closing time. The woman inside turned off the light as we were walking up and refused to serve my husband and myself. Save yourself the time and trouble. Apparently the owner died and they’re currently in limbo with someone to properly staff the stand. Been coming to Port A and getting this shaved ice for over 20 years. It used to be the best in Port A with a true fine, powdery texture but as of today, was the worst “shaved ice” I’ve ever had - didn’t even eat it after finding a huge chunk of ice on top. The lady working the stand was nice but clearly wasn’t familiar with any of the flavor combos they offer and didn’t know how to use the ice shave machine. She even admitted to not really knowing what she was doing since she was filling in. End of an era it seems - not sure who is supposed to train someone to work the stand. What I received today was not shaved ice, it might as well have been ice cubes pulsed in a blender with all the juice (I assume) on the bottom since it wasn’t soaked up by powdery shaved ice.

Stopped here with the family while we were spending a day shopping and checking out Port Aransas. For a small drive thru place, there are quite a few choices. Both my husband and his brother got the melon berry snow cones. My husband felt the flavor was good but the ice wasn't perfectly shaved and that's why the 4 stars. The service was pretty quick and we could conveniently sit in the cool car while we waited.

Drive over from Corpus to grab a shaved ice from Tropical Sno. The sugar free menu is more extensive than listed online, so make sure to ask. I had the tiger blood. It was super tasty. It comes in a cup with a plastic sleeve with a sorta plate around it to catch drips. We are saving ours to reuse on the next trip. The snow cone guy was really friendly. We will be back.

We stopped here this week while on vacation. Our sons ordered "rock and roll" which was supposed to be grape, blueberry, and another blue flavor. They got blueberry only, no other flavors. I ordered a "Silver Fox" which was supposed to be a blend of vanilla and other flavors with cream. I got wedding cake with a little cream on it. My wife ordered watermelon. It was the only one that was right, but it tasted like the syrup was starting to sour. We'll go to the one at the cart shop down the road from now on when we want shaved ice

i give this place 2 stars only because i’ve been here a lot and it’s always so good but the younger kids do it RIGHT ! i just went and an older man was making them charged me 15$ for 2 smalls and 1 medium, he gave me them and i swear they were already melting and they weren’t even round on top they were flat and barley any ice just all syrup i didn’t enjoy it at all ! i got into my car and it was already just nothing but juice no ice anymore , was very disappointed.

The one time we're not hounded by a tip screen, we actually wanted to leave one. The young lady at this establishment could not have been nicer. She insisted we bring our pup up on the deck to get him off the asphalt and gave him a cup of water. She answered our questions politely and served our order promptly and generously. It was nice to see someone appearing to enjoy being at work rather than treat her customers like a chore. Will be back soon just to assuage our no-tip guilt.
Albert R — Google review
Not Shaved Ice. It's a snowcone or crushed ice, but definitely not shaved ice. It's good, for a snow cone, but when you're expecting actual shaved ice (which is fluffy and light), it's a bit of a let down. EDIT: Since the owner replied, I want to add that a "Snowie" machine "shaves" the ice using a grater-like knife with ice cubes, which is inherently different than a Hawaiian Shaved ice which uses a sharp blade and a solid block of ice. I realize that Snowie calls it shaved ice, but if you've been to Hawaii and are expecting that style of shaved ice, the Snowie machine does *NOT* produce that. The texture from the Snowie is more like granules of ice than the soft shaving you'd get from a machine like a Fujimarca or Hatsuyuki in traditional Hawaiian shaved Ice. I wish the owner the best of luck.
A L — Google review
The shaved ice tasted delicious and it's at a great price. The woman at the counter was super nice! My family and I were visiting from Oklahoma, and when she found out she told me she was born there and we talked for a bit. The flavors are all made with imperial sugar, she has sample cups, and she gives suggestions of flavors that could work together. We went there twice while out there and we're definitely coming back!

Great Flavors! We stopped in for a nice cold treat and were not disappointed! We asked for recommendations for top sellers and best flavor, and then made our final decision. Every one chose a different flavor and no one was disappointed. 😋 Flavors we tried: -White Coconut, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with coconut syrup. -Bahama Momma -Tiger's Blood - Dreamsicle They come in a bowl instead of a cup, so it falls off easily when trying to eat... Not recommended to take it to go in the car. 😕 The shaved ice they use is small crunchy bits, not the snow soft shaved ice, but still yummy.

Everyone raved about the cake. It was beautiful and delicious! Highly recommend!

I ordered a cake to be delivered to family vacationing at the beach. I live out of state and relied on Christina to get my order, deliver and payment correct. She was amazing. She communicated clearly and frequently; even texting me pictures of the cake in progress. The recipients of the cake said it was amazing! I ordered the drip chocolate ganache cake. It was a very big hit. If I or family are ever in Port Aransas, I will definitely order from here again

We celebrated my son’s graduation in port A. I wanted someone thing special and yummy. We have a 6hr drive to the beach so we didn't want to worry about traveling with a cake plus we do our best to local anytime we travel. I called Christina with a 5 day window, she was kind helpful full of ideas and accommodating. My son favorite is strawberry shortcake and red velvet with cream cheese icing. She made a few red velvet cupcakes and then made her version of a strawberry shortcake which was divine!!! She even delivered! If you need a cake, Christina is it! We will definitely use her again and again!

Christina, did an amazing job on the cake. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cake in the area. The attention to detail was amazing on every aspect of the cake. This is one of the best cakes we have ever had. Definitely worth a call if you are in need of a cake for any occasion.

So amazing, incredibly delicious, wonderfully elegant, and just the most friendly! I’m down in Port Aransas on a big family vacation, and my sister’s birthday was during our trip—decided to get her a cake, but didn’t want just any cake, I wanted to support someone local! Low and behold, I found Sugar Botany on Google Maps search, called them up—A DAY BEFORE—and they were so in! I could tell the pâtissier had the skill and talent as soon as she got a little quiet on our call and then started asking more detailed questions about flavors and what my sister enjoyed. And honestly, Sugar Botany hit it OUT of the park. We had a stunning chocolate cate with strawberry preserves and strawberry-flavored buttercream, vanilla cupcakes with a core of strawberry preserves, and decadent chocolate-covered strawberries (can you tell there was a theme?) that everyone loved and kept going back for more! If I’m ever back in Port A, then I’m definitely ordering from Sugar Botany again!

Christina made an awesome strawberry cake with cream cheese icing for my daughter's birthday. It was beautifully decorated with sea shells in shades of copper and white and was delicious. I would definitely use her again.

I haven’t been to the bakery yet, but I intend to. I ordered a cake for my wife’s birthday and the cake is delicious and beautifully decorated! Top notch!

Great homemade ice cream. I had the alcoholic banana pudding made with banana pudding moonshine. They have non alcoholic ice cream too Attached is a really cute shop with lots of home decor , candles, ornaments and many other unique items.. It is at the end of the strip center. No permanent sign up yet!

We were really impressed with this little ice cream place. They have 8 adult flavors (with alcohol) and 8 kid-friendly flavors available as single or double scoops, and they have prepackaged quarts available to go. The staff is very friendly and took the time to tell us about the flavors and let us sample things. Everyone in our group really enjoyed our choices. There is nowhere to sit, but you can walk around their store while you eat.

We wanted homemade ice cream and this was the only one we found in Port Aransas - glad we did! They had alcoholic and non-alcoholic or “kid friendly” flavors. We all had kid friendly flavors and they were so good! Heavy on the flavor mix-ins, creamy, and delicious. The owner was very friendly and sweet. This is the only place we’ll go for ice cream in Port A!

Super flavorful homemade ice cream with flavors not found elsewhere. Kids loved their selections, and the adults enjoyed alcoholic selections. Wish there were a few seats to sit and enjoy out of the heat, but in all it's a cute place.

I’m so glad we found this place. Tried two ice cream flavors and they were both phenomenal. You can shop while you eat at the boutique filled with amazing items and such a kind and friendly owner. Will definitely be back!
