Blue Ribbon Restaurant & Bakery is a beloved spot that offers a wide range of comfort foods, including American, Italian, and Greek dishes. Whether you're craving an all-day breakfast, fresh pastries, or their famous cheesecake, this place has got you covered. They also cater to gluten-free diners with their menu options. Additionally, the bakery next door is renowned for its delectable cheesecakes and even creates exceptional wedding cakes.
Been here time and time again , always been delious. Our server was friendly. He checked up on us to see how my table was doing. The service was fast and the food came out quick. Keep up the good work. I highly recommend coming on it to give this restaurant a try. The desserts are top notch. They are made from scratch in their bakery which is right next to the restaurant. I'll be back.

I recently tried the Blue Ribbon (diner food has been my latest fixation for some reason) and really enjoyed it! Loved the coffee, the western omelette was delicious, and the toasted cornbread—ugh, so good. The staff was warm and welcome, and the service was efficient. I’d definitely visit again—still need to check out the bakery across the diner!

We stopped in here for a late lunch and it was busy even at that time. I think people were there for their lunch specials. Portions were large and I ended up taking half of mine to go for later. I ordered the Crispy Chicken on Chiabata bread special. It came with fries and a small cup of coleslaw. Food was okay. Service was quick but we were forgotten a few times. We had to flag our waitress a few times.

This is the quintessential diner experience from my childhood in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s. Normal food like meatloaf, pork chops, pot roast, crispy fish fry, the menu is vast. Not larger than Cheesecake Factory but just as varied. Chicken, seafood, beef, pastas, the menu has something for everyone. Breakfast all day. The waitstaff never. Stops. Moving. It bustles in here and it’s so fun to be a part of on a Saturday. Just come here and try it. We got fish fry, The Blue Ribbon Burger, Cheesesteak sandwich and Gyros. The food is hot, fresh and properly cooked. Your waiter/tress brings it fast. Come hungry. There is an on-property bakery so come prepared to take food home. I said what I said.

I want to thank the Blue Ribbon bakery staff members and management team for all that they did to make me a happy customer. Long story short there was miscommunication when ordering a themed cake. They did a design that I was not very pleased with but the manager and staff member managed to redecorate my cake under a time crunch and gave me a discount which shows how much they value their customer happiness. Thank you again, the cake turned out perfect. Great staff, great service, great value and quality. Highly recommend Blue Ribbon Bakery.

We stopped on our way thru for a quick lunch. Everything we absolutely delicious. I get a hot turkey sandwich pretty much everywhere that I see if on the menu. This one was perfect. I ate every last bite. The quesadilla for my daughters boyfriend was huge and surprise! Came with fries! My 7 year old son gets soup at almost every meal and he loved this soup. Noddles a lil mushy. His grilled cheese was picture perfect. My 17 year old daughter ordered breakfast. The best part of a REAL diner. Even had jelly for her toast! We one hundred percent will return. Hopefully soon. 🤤

Excellent service and food. As a Greek, I recommend their moussaka and galaktoboureko. Delicious! Staff accommodated our late arrival cutting into their clean up time. Thank you for making us feel welcomed.

Has breakfast here. Best country fried steak I've ever had. Biscuits and gravy were awesome. Had a bite of my god daughters corned beef hash, so good. These guys know what they are doing. So full, but I wanna come back at some point cause their cakes/brownies/baked goods look so yummy. Our waitress was nice and very attentive. Wish I could give 10 stars. I'm impressed.

Villa Italia Bakery is a well-known family-owned Italian bakery in Schenectady, NY, established in 1965. It's a popular spot offering an array of freshly baked Italian pastries, cakes, and desserts made with the finest ingredients and lots of care. The bakery is famous for its delicious cupcakes available in flavors like strawberry, chocolate, and raspberry. Visitors can also enjoy sandwiches, salads, and gelato at this relaxed establishment.
Villa Italia perfectly executed our vision for our wedding cake! We went with a carrot cake and got so many compliments. It not only looked beautiful, but was so delicious! Highly recommend.

I walked in craving something sweet and left with a box full of joy. The cannoli was spot-on—crispy shell, creamy filling, not too sweet. The tiramisu? Light, with just the right coffee kick. Staff were friendly, though the line was a bit long. Only downside: parking was a hassle. Still, totally worth it for the pastries
Андрей К — Google review
Cake decorating beautiful, taste was just OK. Not a scratch cake, seemed like a mix. Would not add raisins to carrot cake when asked to, which was odd but understandable when commercially made. Certainly not worth $50. Parking is not easy, plan on walking a bit, especially if it was a Saturday or Sunday (like for me picking up on a Proctor's day). You have to take a number even when picking up and wait in line with people selecting their items, should have a pickup section for people who have ordered ahead (just a thought). Next year's b-day cake will be from Civitello's. Thought I would try Villa Italia but was disappointed. Just OK, but not worth the $. Staff was pleasant when I picked up cake which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2.

Today I have Villa Italia Bakery The bakey was clean , and the staff were extreamly friendly.. Cupcake flavors: cookies & cream , raspberry, and vanilla sprinkle These cupcakes were soooo moist and light. The frosting wasn’t too sweet. Everything was well balanced. My favorite is a tie between the raspberry and vanilla sprinkle. Everything was delicious. Not pictured ** is the hot chocolate I got —51ATE

Firs of all let me say this place has fantastic pastries. Every other aspect of the business is why they only get 2 stars. First off last week I called to order a blackout cake for pickup today. I was Informed over the phone that a 10” round blackout cake would be $39.99+ tax. When I got to the location today I was informed that the cake would be $46.50 + a $10.00 custom cake fee. First of all $46.50 is $6.51 over the quoted price on the phone. Second of all when I ordered the cake I was not informed whatsoever of a $10.00 custom cake fee. These extra charges were sprung on me at the register. The only reason I ended up paying for the cake was because I originally ordered the cake because a different plan already fell through and if this one did as well I would be facing an issue regarding a loved one’s birthday. It is totally unacceptable to get hit with a total of $16.51 in extra charges at the register over what I was told the price would be over the phone. I asked the guy who worked there and he said the $10.00 charge alone was valid because of the crumbles they put on the cake which I think is BS in itself because this cake is on their menu to begin with. There were no extras added to the cake by me and no inscriptions or anything to customize the cake. If they are going to throw extra charges at you they need to tell you when you originally order the product. I found the entire process to be extremely slimy and I know find them to be untrustworthy along with being ready and willing to take advantage of any situation that presents itself to them.

Villa Italia did a wonderful job with our small wedding cake. We ordered a 10 inch marble cake with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream frosting. Ordering the cake was so easy. Tricia, the bakery manager was so thorough when I was ordering. She wanted to make sure that it came out the exact color(s) and style I wanted. Delivery was great. We also ordered tiramisu and some italian cookies which came out great as well. Thank you for making our wedding so special!
Rebecca H — Google review
We used Villa Italia as our wedding bakery and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. It was so easy to order our cake tasting from the bakery! When we decided on what we wanted, Tricia was the most helpful in executing everything we wanted for our big day from our wedding cake to adding on delicious cookies and pastries as well. We are so grateful for the treats that made our wedding extra sweet! Huge thank you from The Gallaghers!!
Lauren W — Google review
They provided the cake as well as cookies and pastries for my wedding recently and everything was absolutely delicious! They delivered everything in a timely manner and the cake looked picture perfect and just what we hoped for. Pricing was very reasonable as well. Definitely recommend them!

Perreca's Bakery, a century-old establishment in Schenectady, New York, has been serving the community with its renowned hard-crusted bread and Italian pastries since 1914. The bakery is a beloved landmark of Upstate New York and has garnered a reputation as the best Italian bakery in the region. In addition to their famous bread, Perreca's offers an array of delectable treats such as pastries, cookies, cakes, and pies.
Some of the best bread I have had. Some friends and I came to go hiking and we stopped by this nice bakery because it had great reviews. THEY DO NOT LIE! met with amazing people and amazing food. HIGHLY recommend!!! If you're in the Schenectady area this is a MUST!

Friend suggested I stop in for the tomato pie while in town for a few weeks and I've been back quite a few times. Lots of delicious sauce & I didn't resist a loaf of their renowned bread either. Sweet old fashioned bakery!
Judy G — Google review
Biggest cupcakes this side of the Capitol Region. Use to come here monthly back when I lived in Schenectady to eat at the restaurant side of Perreca's, always picking up a cupcake for dessert on my way out. Since moving though I don't get to visit as much, but I'm glad to see they're still around and still making fantastic cupcakes! Bought two of their four varieties, the Carrot Cake and the Vanilla. They also have a chocolate and red velvet, but I'm unable to eat coca, so sadly can't partake of them. Comparable to Crumbl's price for their cookies, each cupcake was $5 for a total of $10 all together. Which might sound expensive, but you just have to see the size of these things, they're massive, and by the time you're done with one I very much doubt you'll have room for a second. So I find the price to be quite reasonable. Flavor-wise the carrot cake is packed with lots of bis of carrot and spice, with the cream cheese frosting on top working perfectly to provide just the right amount of sweetness to the more subdue pastry. As alluded to in my previous statement, I finished the one but couldn't move onto the vanilla without going overboard, but if it is like I remember then the cake will be more tender and fluffy than the carrot cake was and the frosting with be a bit on the less sweet side; more airy. I also see they recently celebrated their 100 year anniversary, so here's hoping they'll see another 100!

While this place is treasured by locals and a key part of the little Italy region in Schenectady it clearly hasn’t made any investments in building maintenance and modernization which makes you feel like getting in and out or not going at all. The bread is good but expensive. The service is prompt and friendly. The groceries are rare and high quality but sparse.

Nice Italian eatery in Schenectady, serving tasty traditional Italian fare. Short wine list, but still worth a stop. Excellent service when we were there.

Best cannoli I’ve had in years. First time ever in upstate New York, had some time to kill and stopped in for a cannoli and I wish my luggage had room for a dozen. Can’t wait to try the sfogliatella this morning now back at home — I have a feeling I shoulda bought the large one and not the small!

Civitello's is a charming little eatery that captures the essence of authentic Italian culture, boasting just six tables and an inviting atmosphere. Renowned for its delectable pastries, including cannolis and homemade gelato, this spot also serves up savory dishes that delight the palate. A recent experience highlighted their exceptional service when Roie crafted a stunning tray of cookies for a family gathering in Schenectady, providing comfort during a difficult time.
Lovely patio to enjoy delicious spumoni and if you can decide, a few cookies, too. The tomato pie had a crisp flaky crust that I liked with a touch of fresh garlic in the sauce. Incredible pastry.

I used to visit civitello's in little Italy when I was in schenectady. As a good italian, I would visit Porecca's also across the street. I usually get some tomato pie and other things at Porecca's but I also would cross the street and get some tomato pie at Civitello's. I really enjoyed it. I really hope Civitello's reopens. Motto bene .

Lemon ice unlike any other. Not too sweet, with bursts of lemon zest and such a perfect soft texture. Summertime staple. The tomato pie at lunch time is my favorite with big chunks of roasted garlic and a crisp crust. Classic Schenectady.
Emily G — Google review
What a fabulous experience! The éclairs! The cupcakes! The Bocci court! All of it utterly fab.
Jennifer H — Google review
Love the place but.....stopped by today around 12:30pm. All out of bread 30 minute wait no sandwiches......all out of pizza 20 minute wait. Ugh, the business model works just don't run out of food and make excuses like the previous owners always did! So I left. Wasn't all the new equipment suppose to prevent this? Still have faith for improvement from a soft opening.
Upstate N — Google review
So pleased to see the shop reopened. Went downtown yesterday and ordered a few sandwiches , a couple of turkey sandwiches and a couple of Wednesday specials—the eggplant sandwiches. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the shop looked great. Loved seeing the old pictures and the pastries looked awesome. Turkey sandwiches were great, nothing was changed. Having loved the eggplant sandwiches in the past, the current sandwich did not measure up to what I recall. I would urge the current management to find the past recipe and do your darndest to duplicate it. The bread was fine, the sauce was great, but the internals were too bready and the piece of actual eggplant too thin. Hope this helps. So glad to see you are reopened and going down today for the lemon ice.

I always love their almond paste cookies. Yesterday I hit the jackpot with parachute, eclair, and pistachio cheesecake! I am so glad they are open again!

Wakanda Polar Freeze is an established casual eatery that serves cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream cones. They also offer the added attraction of bumper boats. Previously renowned for their exceptional soft serve, the recent changes have resulted in a less rich and thick consistency. Despite this, it still remains a popular destination with a rating of four stars. Customers appreciate the efficiency of the staff when taking orders and enjoy the charming ambiance created by decorative signs.
Never disappointed when I come here. Love how the employees are quick and easy with orders. This place is sweet and inviting with cute and goofy signs!

This place use to be the very best for soft serve. They changed something recently and now its not as dense and creamy. Was a FIVE STAR but now a four. I've never had anything other than the soft serve here. They have bumper boats and the kids love them.

Fun, clean, reasonable prices, courteous staff, good food. We'll be back!
Gary K — Google review
Bumpy's is great to bring groups or your family. There are so many options for ice cream. But unlike most ice cream places they have more then two soft server flavors. It makes you want to come back to try more flavors. They have now upgraded the parking lot and the seating. if you don't like being near the road (witch is the only downside) they have more seats farther form the main road. I know they have fast food but i have never tried it. But sounds like a good idea for lunch with an ice cream dessert.

Ordered Delivery via the phone and the gentleman taking the orders was extremely nice and provided awesome customer service. I really appreciated his patience while i fumbled through my order and payment. I have had their ice cream at the stand and it has always been a fun and tasty time. The ordering for delivery is next level. LOVE IT.
Giselle F — Google review
The family and i went for a ride to get ice cream. From Albany to Schenectady and we were not disappointed. The ice cream was priced well and tasted great. Be careful pulling in and out of the parking lot as they can get pretty busy. We actually witnessed a miner accident as we sat eating our ice cream.

One of my favorites in the capital district! Of all of our visits, I have yet to have a scoop or a sundae that was anything but excellent. They have a HUGE variety of flavors and sundae options. You haven't had summer until you've been to Bumpy's!

One my favorite temptations! Great ice cream, food from the grill and bumper boats. They have expanded parking and added a terrace with more picnic tables. This is a great place to go on a hot Summer's night. It's usually busy but service is speedy.

The Moon and River Cafe is a cool establishment that offers a diverse selection of global-inspired dishes with a focus on vegetarian and vegan options. It also features live music performances and an open mic night. This unique cafe has been serving the Schenectady area for 19 years, offering affordable and delicious homemade food in a welcoming atmosphere.
I adore the vibe it felt like having a home cooked meal, everything was made fresh by the super kind chef and the variety of vegan options is insane, so many unique dishes I can't wait to try! For the price too its even better!

So friendly and so much to look at! A very eclectic place with all kinds of art and games and posters and little things to find. Our order was taken by the very friendly owner who also did all the cooking. The food was really tasty, spiced perfectly, and vegan or whatever level of vegetarian or not that you prefer. I had eggs while my boyfriend had a chickpea egg substitute that was pretty good (we are not vegan so it was a new thing for us to try). There was live music and the people were very friendly and sang songs we could sing along with. It is not a spic-and-span modern restaurant. You will feel transported to a different time. I will also say that I have a very delicate constitution, and I did find eating here. It was a lovely experience to wrap up our time in Schenectady.

an eclectic vegetarian cafe run by the owner. we arrived just as he was opening the cafe, and he made us a ciabatta sandwich and a veggie tofu scramble. he was also able to make and wrap up some sandwiches for us for our train. the prices are very affordable and the food is good! be advised that this place is cash only, but there is an ATM.

I’m moving to the area after living in mainly small towns. I decided to check this place out on a whim and was so pleasantly surprised by the environment. It fears so comfortable and familiar. There were two men playing folk music on the guitar, people enjoying the music, the place is decorated beautifully. It’s very cozy and homelike. The food was really good and I was amazed by how affordable it was especially with me needing gluten free bread. It’s not a fast food restaurant. You’re going to wait a little bit for your food, but honestly it was refreshing to step away from the bustle and sit down, listen to some music, and enjoy some good food. I’ll definitely be back.

19 years, that's how long the Moon and River Cafe has been gracing Schenectady and I never knew it. With the most affordable food in the capital district, one of the most personable and unique owners, an array of live music and a wonderful local clientele I'm almost scared to let others know about this diamond in the rough out of fear it becomes overcrowded. But alas, everyone deserves to eat off the largest vegetarian and vegan menu in the capital district. Good home cooked food. Good home cooked atmosphere. Edit, I went the day following my initial review, so yesterday... and plan to go again today. I look forward to exploring the menu and trying all the enchanting dishes they have.

Nestled in the heart of Schenectady's Little Italy, Cornell's Restaurant has been a cherished culinary gem since 1943. This family-owned establishment moved to its current location on North Jay Street in 2002, enhancing its cozy ambiance with additional seating while maintaining that warm, inviting feel. Guests are treated to an upscale dining experience adorned with red carpets and white linen tablecloths, setting the stage for a delightful meal.
Wonderful experience. Calamari for the appetizer...and interesting twist with a lemon garlic aioli for dipping and added fried banana peppers. Unique. Veal parm all the yummy crispy goodness. Go for the cavatelli...amazing...but wasn't at same temperature as the hot veal. Seafood and pasta are wonderful. They seated us earlier than our reservation which was great. One thing noticed was hostess was rude to busboy while seating us. Yeah ya gotta treat your people with respect and also not unnecessarily chide them in front of a customer. Check yourself lol. That having been said I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Another absolutely phenomenal restaurant on Jay Street in Schenectady when here this evening looking for authentic Italian in a relaxed environment, haven't had Italian food that tasted this good since my mother made it, wonderful staff! Absolutely phenomenal food, would highly recommend taking whatever special is offered when you choose to visit, tonight's special was stuffed flounder, green beans and mashers absolutely phenomenal food here, could not recommend this place enough if you're looking for high quality authentic Italian cuisine in the Schenectady area along with top notch fine dining, and amazing staffing!.

Can’t beat the food here. Everything is fresh and they were very willing to customize (two of us ordered chicken parm with vodka sauce instead of red sauce and they enthusiastically accommodated our request). Our party of 6 got our appetizers and bread quickly. Staff were very nice and attentive and were not pushy at all even though our visit was late (last reservation before closing time). We took a slice of chocolate cake to go and that was delicious even after the ride home. One of our top Italian spots.

If you're looking for authentic Italian food this is THE place!! Service was so friendly and had such attention to detail! Food, oh the food! Bring your appetite! Large portions, fresh ingredients and flavors that are out of this world. You won't be upset stopping here. Plenty of parking in the rear as well as on the street.

I was super excited to attend the Mother’s Day brunch after a wonderful meal in April. I was sadly disappointed that all the menu options weren’t available at the time we were seated (10AM). Our meal was completed by 11, but I was hoping to get some of the cannolis. I waited until 11:30 but having a 1 year old, I couldn’t stay any longer. For the prices charged, this shouldn’t have happened. UPDATE: the owner called and apologized. She also had someone deliver cannolis to our home. Made an excellent end to the weekend! Thanks Cornells and owner, Maria, for making it right!

Ate at Cornell’s yesterday and this was my second time there in a few months. Outstanding service, very attentive staff - food was absolutely outstanding. This time I sat at the bar and the bartender was warm and engaging and helped finalize our meal choices. A plus was the “special “ appetizer at an unbelievable price and they were better than many specialty places. We will continue to return and enjoy quality food, great atmosphere, fantastic staff and prices from the old world.

My first visit to this family-run Italian restaurant was pleasant overall — warm service and flavorful dishes, though the chicken francaise portions were extremely small - two tiny thin tenders… and one appetizer seemed off. We were very surprised that our braciole didn’t come with pasta :( I hope they rethink that choice... I’ll certainly return for a second visit, as I always like to give local places another chance.

We went for the flaming cheese wheel meal. Frankly, I was disappointed. I expected more of a show. The shrimp appetizer was excellent. The bread "course" was ice cold, with 3 slices of bread for 2 people with a couple of pats of butter. The unlimited pasta course was a mixed bag. The portions were generous but inconsistent. My wife's pasta was very dry, but mine was soupy. The flavor was good and made with high quality ingredients. The dessert course of two chocolate chip canollis was very good. I do want to give Cornell's another shot. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was outstanding and except for the pasta dish and bread, the food was great.

Blue Rose Cheesecake & Bake Shop is a delightful haven for dessert lovers, where each creation is a feast for the eyes and the palate. The talented bakers pour their artistry into every treat, ensuring that flavor never takes a backseat to aesthetics. From fluffy cupcakes to decadent cakes and an array of macarons, there's something for everyone. While prices may be on the higher side, many patrons believe that the quality justifies it.
This Bakery needs 10 stars!!! We did a gender reveal for my daughters 2nd baby and Blue Rose Bakery did a phenomenal job with the cake and a cupcake for my grandson ,the soon to be big brother. The cake tasted amazing and the theme I was going for was hit out of the park with all the details I wanted on the cake. Ive ordered many cakes from them and they always do an excellent job!!! My daughter, son in law and big brother to be are going to welcome a little sister!!!🩷👶

Good bakery for cakes. They also have lots of macarons. Seemed pretty expensive though but other people say it’s better than other places. Cakes start at $30-40 and are small. Cupcakes are $6 each. Lots of options, decent size and look awesome. Inside they have filling but the cake batter itself is pretty average. The carrot cake one was the best. If you’re getting treats for a party be prepared it is pricey. Yet if you’re stopping in just for a pastry it is good. There was a few pieces of hair or like lint on top of a cupcake and I read another review that said the same thing so hopefully the owner sees this.

Outstanding Custom Cheesecake & Exceptional Service! Blue Rose Cheesecake & Bake Shop never disappoints! I recently ordered a Paw Patrol-themed cheesecake for my nephew’s 3rd birthday, and it was absolutely perfect. The design was spot on, and the cheesecake was as delicious as ever—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. A special shoutout to Alexis for the exceptional customer service! She was incredibly helpful, accommodating, responsive, ensuring every detail was just right and made the entire ordering process smooth and stress-free. When we saw the cake, we were blown away—it was beautifully decorated, capturing the theme perfectly! My nephew was beyond excited, and the cake was a huge hit with everyone at the party. I highly recommend Blue Rose Cheesecake & Bake Shop for any special occasion—they truly bring visions to life with their artistry and flavor! It’s always a pleasure ordering from this bakery, and that’s why we come back every time for birthday cheesecakes. Thank you once again for making our celebrations extra special! Highly recommend Blue Rose Cheesecake & Bake Shop for anyone looking for amazing custom cakes and top-notch service! 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We just moved here from the south. Every year I order my son a cheesecake for his bday. This year I was worried about finding a new shop in a new state. I was told to try these guys and I am so glad I did. The cheesecake was so good. My son said it was the best cheesecake he has ever had. Thank you !! Lemon-raspberry

They did a beautiful job on my daughter's 15th birthday cake. Very professional and great customer service. Moving here from across country, I'm glad this gem is near my neighborhood and was recommended to me by many locals.

Rude and unprofessional. It was my go to bakery and the ribbon was my little families occasional breakfast spot. I’ll never go back or order again. Make sure you hang the phone up before you start running your mouth on voicemails. I ordered for my kids while I was at work so yea that’s why you got the voicemail. Are u able to get every personal call at work immediately? The misery is obvious in the one minute and 40 second voicemail. You’re not the only or best spot in town. Good riddance.

Can't really beat those prices. Stopped in to pick up some sweets on my way home from a company breakfast earlier in the day, and my old man had recommended me those spot as he knows I love to buy a bunch of baked goods on my cheat day. Ended up going with a wide sweep of sweets, a cheesecake cookie, a mini-monster cupcake, a lemon sprinkle cookie, a raspberry, blueberry, and strawberry madeleine cookie sandwich, a butter dipping cookie, a mini-cannoli, a lemon cream sandwich cookie, a cotton candy cream cookie sandwich, and a mega cherry cream cupcake. Like I said, a little of everything. Only ended up paying a bit over $18, very inexpensive for the treasure trove of goodies I picked. My favorite thing I had was the cheesecake cookie for sure, very glad I noticed it before stopping my selection. The madeleines were all rather dry sadly, which hurt their flavor. Same for the butter and lemon sprinkle cookies, but the cannoli was excellent and those lemon and cotton candy sandwich cookies had some great flavor that didn't overpower me like other bakeries tend to do. The cupcakes however I left for another day as that was a lot of sugar for one night. Sadly Blue Rose is out of my way in terms of regular trips home from work, so I don't see myself returning anytime soon, but I wouldn't say no on another day I have the time to drop in. They did have plenty of other things I could try.

I ordered a cake for my parent's joint birthday party and it was super tasty! Everyone was asking where it came from. They even did the design just how I envisioned. Vanilla cake, vanilla buttercream, with raspberry mousse.

Maria's Cafe & Catering has quickly established itself as a beloved dining spot, celebrated for its top-notch cuisine and outstanding service. The welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect for both takeout and enjoying a meal on-site. During a recent Valentine's Day visit, the culinary offerings truly shone, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to excellence.
With a newborn, my wife and I knew we would not be able to cook or go out to eat for Easter this year so we were excited to see the $60 meal for 4 which included salad, rolls, roasted vegetables, mashed cheese potatoes , ham and chocolate pie. Most places charge so much more or only have takeout meals for a larger amount of people while we just needed for myself, my wife and grandma in law. There was so much food and it all was delicious!! The pickup was very organized and easy, and the person at the restaurant was so kind.

Stopped for breakfast, had French toast which was great and my wife had avocado toast which was delicious also. We can't wait to return. Second visit for lunch was outstanding. I had a cheeseburger which was hand packed, and french fries that were hand cut. They both were delicious. I'm convinced that you can't go wrong eating any of their offerings. Last visit was for dinner. Had stuffed mushrooms, summer salad, and chicken Marsala over pasta, all were excellent. This was the first time I had dinner rolls that didn't need butter. The fried dough for dessert was amazing. All prepared from scratch, down home cooking. Amazing.

The food was good, but it took over an hour to be served simple breakfast dishes. At that, one dish was never delivered. It seems like this cafe cannot balance online orders and in-person orders; be prepared to wait for a long time if you go in person. We had a reservztion, so we sat immediately. Every table was not occupied, not on arrival or during any time during our stay.

We order out or stop by for lunch during the work week at least once a month, the whole team loves it.The best blackened chicken sandwich around and a great gluten free bun. Friendly team and a nice sit down space. This isn't fast food, so don't expect express delivery; good things come to those that wait.

Great little place with an eclectic vibe and great fresh food. Went on a Saturday with a few friends. First thing you'll notice is the cool vintage decor that's immaculately kept. But the food is where it's really at. I ordered a caprese sandwich, which was served with a nice order of steak cut fries. I also ordered the mac and cheese. The caprese was delicious and made with high quality ingredients and those fries were excellent. As was the mac and cheese, a 4 cheese variety featuring gouda and baked individually in a crock. My friends ordered a chicken wrap and the filet mignon sliders and relayed they were excellent as well. Over all great place

Guests can enjoy the friendly and accommodating staff, clean environment, outdoor seating for pleasant weather days, and the picturesque pedestrian area of Jay Street. Visitors praise the restaurant for its delicious and healthy food options suitable for various dietary preferences.
The BYO bowls are great. Delicious and not overpriced. There's a good selection of options. The raspberry baklava was also good. My only complaint is that it's loud inside and hard to communicate with the servers, but that's to be expected in a place like this. Definitely a good place to stop if you want something healthy and tasty.

Had a great meal. My bf unfortunately dropped his goat cheese pie, and they were great and served him another. We got entirely too much food and they gave us to-go lids for the paper containers they serve the food in. The potatoes are SO worth getting! No table service so it acts a bit like fast food, but it eats like restaurant food. I really would have liked a bit more of a restaurant vibe, but the food was so tasty and the service so patient and friendly, I can't argue. So good! And the location is great, along the pedestrian walkway. So much to see.

I've heard about this place so many times and every time I mention Falafel this place is recommended so I knew I needed to try it, so my son and I decided to go on an adventure to Schenectady. We found a really good parking spot really close to the restaurant and there was a small line, by the time we left it was going out the door. I mentioned to the staff that it was my first time there and they walked me through how to make my own Bowl and my son got a chicken wrap. It's funny because my son would never eat half of the stuff that they have their and they stuck it all in a wrap and he said it was completely and totally delicious he loved it. He wasn't even done with his lunch yet and was already telling me he couldn't wait to come back. My falafels were very yummy and everything was so fresh and tasty! We took three pieces of baklava home with us cuz we're going to have it for after dinner tonight. The prices are reasonable the staff is very nice and accommodating. Overall it was a great experience and I would love to go back. We both got the pomegranate lemonade, I thought it was delicious but my son wasn't a big fan.

There are so many healthy, delicious food options here! It’s become a favorite of ours for this reason as well and the friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere. It’s a bustling establishment, but there’s always tables and little to no wait.
Christine P — Google review
Absolutely delicious. Definitely stepped out of my comfort zone walking into this funky place, but it was so worth it. Fun little protein bowls with a bunch of tasty veggies I'd never had before and some INCREDIBLE frothed coffee. Would've like more "coffee" coffee though and less froth, but still so good. Luckily wandered in on a friday, which is one of 2 days a week they're open (thursday too) acc to google? Would go all 7 if I could!
Mazin B — Google review
I always have a really positive experience here. This last time I got some attitude from the person at the register when I asked for water. He was the rudest person I've ever dealt with at this establishment and it wasn't outward mean or aggressive but it was a little passive aggressive and I felt unnecessary. I will obviously return. I love Simone's Kitchen!

Great little coffee shop and bookstore that also offers a full menu, cocktails, and board games. The coffee and food were wonderful and well priced, and the bookstore & board game atmosphere felt unique and fun. Seating can be tough to find at peak times, but spots tend to open up after a little while. It's nice as both a place to meet up and a solo coffee/work stop. Will definitely return.

I walked by this wonderful place when my kids and I were heading to see Hamilton this past Winter at Proctors. I was so excited to see a cafe/bookstore/bakery that also serves cocktails if you should fancy one ;) and located right in downtown Schenectady. I finally had the opportunity to stop in yesterday and fell in love with it. There’s plenty of seating inside and on the colorful outdoor patio. Lots of books to peruse and delicious coffees and teas. I haven’t had any of the food or bakery items…yet. I felt extremely comfortable sipping my tea in the front window, working on my laptop and chatting with others. Not to mention the customer service is also wonderful. It’s a great space and a vibe. Among the must-try treats is the pumpkin cheesecake, which boasts a heavenly flavor profile that pumpkin lovers will adore. During the bustling holiday season, visitors can expect friendly staff who ensure quick checkouts and carefully pack purchases to minimize breakage during local travel.
Uncle Sam's is a nice little spot to get all kinds of different things. I'd say 90% of their products are chocolate and the rest is gummy like candies.
Eric A — Google review
I recently came into the shop to purchase various chocolate goods for some friends and family, and was very pleased by the variety and the quality of the candy. I was referred by a friend, who raved about the taste.....but warned me about the staff. I am sorry to say that the warning was true. The staff member who served me was incredibly rude and unhelpful; every question I asked was met with derision, and I felt as if I was being rushed out the door. I don't think service workers need to be all sunshine and smiles, but being actively hostile is really unfortunate and unnecessary. The candy is some of the best I have ever had, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully if I visit again it will be a better experience.

We used Uncle Sam's Chocolate for a business awards dinner - 150 people. Each person received a lovely little box of truffles at their place setting. I was ordering from out of state so I spoke directly to the owner Russ, and he couldn't have been more helpful. Such a lovely person! He actually drove the chocolate to our dinner site for me! (Thank you, Russ!) As far as the taste - EVERYONE Loved them!!! I even had some colleagues, also out of state, ask me to send them the link so they can place personal orders in the future. I love supporting small businesses and Uncle Sam's is truly a GEM! I definitely plan on using them again in the future! Thank you so very much!!

Did an online purchase ordered Cashew Top Hats and I was sent Walnut Top Hats candies instead! I HATE WALNUTS. DUE to me working and not opening package right away I could not send back due to past 3 days! $27 plus mailing fee is pretty expensive for getting the wrong Product! Very upset as that seems deliberate Cashews and Walnuts do not look or taste alike! Plus they won't apologize on some of the negative reviews. I know you read this!

I ordered some pretzels and other items to be shipped. They shipped items to me and not where I wanted it shipped. When I called they said it was because I paid via PayPal. They said that with using PayPal they bill to and ship to the same address. I've never heard of this. The solution they gave me was me forwarding it to the address it should have been shipped to originally. So I paid shipping when I placed order and now I will have to pay shipping again. They offered nothing. I now have $67 worth of things I can't eat and was intended for a thank you gift. I will never buy from them again...

I've been going here every year of my marriage for Valentine's Day. I get a large heart.shape package of chocolate covered strawberries. I call in the order and every year when I am supposed to pick it up,.I have to jump through loops. And wait. I called my order in 2 weeks ago. To have ready today 2/10. I was told to call toale sure they were ready. Upon doing so I got told I had no order there, then asked who I spoke to for the order. I was charged for a large box and got medium sized box. They're really cutting back on what you get for the price you pay and the hoops I have to jump through every single year is annoying. It's become expected at this point. I unfortunately will not do business here anymore. Poor presentation, small amount of strawberries for what I paid,.and just sloppy work I'm the time I had to wait for them to complete my order that I again place January 30th by phone. Uncle Sam's I wish you the best but your rude staff and disorganized process has lost a loyal customer.

A standout feature of Stella's is their irresistible milkshakes—truly a must-try! For those seeking homemade custard, Stella’s offers an array of flavors alongside soft serve options from Perry's.
My most favorite go to ice creams are banana and mango soft flavors. The employees are very friendly and respectful. This is my go to place I always come here with family.

Nice place for homemade custard. Tons of flavors. They also have soft serve and hard which is Perry’s. Lots to choose from with shakes, flurries, fried dough and I think they also have food. It is pricey however. We got two custards which are only served in one available size, it’s pretty decent size but the total was $15 for two. So definitely pricey. Good waffle cones. The icecream itself was good but I’ve had better. The blueberry cheese cake was too strong of the blueberry fake flavoring taste. I’d try more of a regular flavor next time. Overall decent place. But expensive.

Bought one of their custom-made frozen custard cakes. It was excellent. I picked the Large for 6 people because I wanted leftovers, well, believe me that thing is huge. We went at it hard yesterday and couldn't even eat half. Very happy with it- they have many choices for flavors and add-ins.

Im what you call a cream queen. A cream queen is a dairy dabbler who mixes in the iced arts. In all of my years and travels I have never experienced the alchemy on a wafer cone that is Stella’s frozen custard. Even the sprinkles taste good! Is it witchcraft? Maybe. If so, then count me a loyal member of this coven

BEST soft serve in the area. Super rich, creamy and dense soft serve. Did I mention dense? Seriously, where other places pump more air into the machine this place clearly keeps it as little as possible. You have to drive to the 'Snow Man' in Troy to get the same kind of GREAT soft serve. Why drive though?

This outlet offers fantastic savings on beloved brands like Freihofer's bread, Entenmann's, Thomass, and Stroehmann—often at prices significantly lower than traditional grocery stores.
So glad I found this place! They carry Freihoffers (my fave bread), Entenmanns, Thomas’s, Stroehmann, etc. most things at much lower than grocery stores (some things about the same). Lots of interesting items I’ve never seen before. Great place to get cakes & fancy cookies for parties. Watch your expiration dates but everything I got tasted fresh.

Nestled in a charming courtyard street adorned with twinkling string lights, Buds On Jay is a delightful spot that captures the essence of local charm. Known for its consistently friendly and attentive service, this café creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a meal. The menu boasts delicious sandwiches that strike the right balance between tasty and healthy, making it an ideal lunch destination when you're in town.
Fabulous little breakfast spot on jay street. I got a sausage and egg on a hardroll, all fresh food. Very good. My wife got the humpty dumpy which was eggs and avaxado and such.

My coworkers ordered lunch to celebrate the anniversary of my employment. I ordered The Toby Did it on gluten free bread with chips and a pickle. I did not receive a pickle or onions on my sandwich, they used the smallest ingredients possible for my sandwich, which was dwarfed by the barely toasted bread. The few bites of sandwich that I actually got tasted ok. See photo for more.

I love this coffee shop. The coffee is delicious, as is the food. And the space itself is nice and comfortable. I always come here when I’m in the area.

Great little spot for coffee & breakfast or lunch! Really happy to come here, they have a nice cozy spot at the start of Jay St, right across from Johnny’s. Perfect for a quick coffee or bite, or stay and relax and have a seat outside. I didn’t get the coffee this time but the breakfast sandwich was EXCELLENT and the bagel was delicious. Service was top notch, I really can’t wait to come back and try a latte!

Corned beef hash was decent but could stand to be crispy, was a bit mushy. Got bagel for avocado toast so it could survive delivery, but they didn't toast it. Also it could of used salt. Breakfast burrito was ok, could use some sorta sauce and crispier potatoes. A couple items were missing, but that could of been the door dashers fault Coffee was good!

Really cute restaurant. My breakfast burrito was hot and delicious. Coffees were perfect. The decor is cute and everyone we interacted with were nice and helpful.

Nestled in the heart of the community, Sandye's Cafe and Cakes is a delightful gem that promises an exceptional culinary experience. Renowned for its punctual and reliable delivery service, customers rave about how their orders consistently arrive ahead of schedule while maintaining freshness and flavor. The quality of food is a common highlight among patrons, who appreciate both the taste and presentation. As a pastry chef myself, I can attest to the artistry behind Sandye’s cakes.
I have been getting cakes and foods for about 3 years. My kids love picking out their theme for their cakes. We love the stuffed shells and meatballs and for lunch I’m a loaded fries girl. The pistachio coffee cake is my favorite goodie in shop. Look at the inside of this cake. Sooo good.

Sandaye’s did an incredible cake for our daughter’s 16th birthday. They were amazing to collaborate with and exceeded our expectations when we picked up. On top of the gorgeous design, the cake tasted delicious! Vanilla cake with Oreo filling- chef’s kiss. Additionally, the vanilla and chocolate coordinating cupcakes were a huge hit for all ages.

These cakes are absolutely amazing detailed and they taster good too! She has an assortment of flavors and fillings to choose from! They also have healthy breakfast and lunch dishes that are homemade tasting with a hint of style I have tried multiple dishes from here and I enjoyed every one! I have never left here hungry ! Sandye's catered my large party, a huge order with 2 trays each of Chicken Marsala, Ziti Marinara, roasted potatoes, sausage and peppers, and Mac n cheese, plus a sandwich platter, balsamic spring salad, 2 gigantic veggie platters and 2 gigantic fruit platters. Everything was ready on time, and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. This was my first experience with Sandye's and I was impressed with the service and food, and would definitely recommend and will use again. Thank you to the crew at Sandye's for starting to work at 5:30 am to fulfill this order. You did a great job! I wish I took more pictures of the food before it was eaten but everyone was too hungry!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful treat this autumn, look no further than Bittersweet Candy. Their pumpkin dessert is an absolute must-try, boasting a rich and decadent flavor that perfectly captures the essence of fall. The blend of spices and just the right amount of sweetness makes it an irresistible choice for anyone with a sweet tooth. But that's not all! Heather's chocolates are truly exceptional.
I’ve been purchasing Bittersweet chocolate personally for the past 6 years. A year ago we opened a store and we have the pleasure to carry their delicious chocolate in our store for our customers. It’s one of our best sellers and the bark sells out regularly! I 100% recommend Bittersweet for old school candies, special orders and the super creative bark flavors!
Ali — Google review
I have placed several special orders at Bittersweet Candy as well as just popped into the adorable shop on Jay Street to pick up items off the shelves. My favorite is the salty pretzel bark. The quality of the chocolate has always been superb and the owner has always been professional and accommodating. I also bring the chocolate to family gatherings and now my family from out of town are placing online orders because we love it so much!
Nicole P — Google review
The greatest chocolate you will ever buy. It is also the greatest service you will ever get. No other candy store has made me travel 9 hours just to be able to walk in the door, in person, to meet the woman behind the magic. Heather always goes above and beyond, and you can feel her smile in every piece of her chocolate. If you are out of state, place that online order. If you are in the area, be sure to stop in, you won't regret it.
Jamie T — Google review
This small business owner has some of the best chocolates we have ever had. We have liked every single item we have purchased. We especially like the dark chocolate bark in so many interesting styles. We've given the chocolates and candy as gifts and all of the recipients, especially the grandkids have loved it also. There also are some other unique and old style treats available in the shop that you won't find anywhere else. The staff has always been very pleasant. The owner is very accommodating and you can tell by talking to her how dedicated and hardworking she is. She has been making her own candy for many years and you can see and taste her talent with every bite. We've told many people about the cozy shop and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Robert S — Google review
Wow! I just received my box from bittersweet and couldn’t resist jumping right in. The chocolate is amazing, and really unique things I haven’t seen before! The peppermint bark was the best I’ve ever tried and the chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels are amazing! I love the chocolate and salt combo. Everything I ordered is delicious and the best chocolate I’ve had. I will definitely be ordering more from this delicious small Business and you should too!
Michelle — Google review
If you're a chocolate lover, Bittersweet Chocolate is an absolute must-try! From the moment I placed my order, I knew I was in for a treat, and I was not disappointed. The chocolate is incredibly smooth, rich, and full of depth — it melts perfectly in your mouth with each bite. Every piece feels like a little piece of luxury. Whether you're savoring their dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or unique flavored creations, every bite is nothing short of amazing. Not only is the chocolate exceptional, but their delivery service is lightning fast. I was surprised at how quickly my order arrived at my doorstep — it felt like no time at all! Fresh, perfectly packaged, and ready to indulge in. Bittersweet Chocolate truly knows how to deliver both on taste and service. I’ll definitely be back for more, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality chocolate that delivers on every level. Thank you!! 💗

Delicious products and fun shop! Not only do I love their products for my own eating enjoyment, so does our out of town family. We often buy lots of the bark to give as gifts for our family who are quite particular about their chocolate and they love it! And while there, we also grab various chocolate pops for our niece and nephew. Highly recommend.

This charming shop is consistently full of delicious choices from handmade chocolates of all varieties to the candies of our childhood! If you are Gen X, this is a delightful trip down memory lane. The proprietor is kind and funny as she engages with the people who come into her shop. We have also had great experiences with the staff she hires. I highly recommend Bittersweet Candy for all of your personalized or custom chocolate needs, as well as the more spontaneous chocolate needs you may have in your life!

Nocturnal Cookies is a delightful late-night gem that promises an unforgettable cookie experience. With a menu boasting both classic and adventurous flavors, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The cookies are freshly baked, ensuring top-notch quality reminiscent of the finest bakeries in town. While you may need to exercise a bit of patience due to the bustling atmosphere—complete with DoorDash orders and a dedicated baker working diligently behind the scenes—the wait is well worth it.
Our cookies were AMAZING! Especially loved the lemon and peanut butter. Don’t be deterred by the wait; it’s so worth it! It’s nice that they give you milk as well when ordering, just be sure to ensure it’s not expired.
Emily M — Google review
Pretty ridiculous that you can't walk in and place an order. Equally ridiculous- the guy behind the counter can't understand English. Wasted drive over. Will NOT be back. **Thank you for the reply back, but to assume that I was not respectful to your employee is unacceptable. I was respectful and trying to communicate with him. He kept saying in broken English my order wasn't there. I tried explaining that I wanted to place an order, that I did not have one there already. He turned me away. When I suggest that failure to communicate is ridiculous- it's because it is!! How can you have someone running the shop if they can't understand a customer trying to buy your products?? Doesn't seem logical to me. He may be the best, hardest worker ever- but counter productive if he can't provide customer service to a potential NEW customer.
Tabitha B — Google review
Unique late night cookie spot! Prices are reasonable considering the cookies are made fresh (order ahead or expect to wait about 20 mins). Our favorites were the sugar cookie, white chocolate macadamia nut, and surprisingly the mint chocolate chip. The peanut butter was just okay, but it wasn't bad by any measure. The girl working in there this evening was juggling orders and baking like crazy, she deserves a raise.

Whisky Business Bakery is a delightful gem for anyone seeking exquisite wedding desserts or simply a sweet treat. A recent couple who celebrated their nuptials at the Maples Estate couldn't stop praising baker Bri for her collaborative spirit and enjoyable process in crafting their wedding cake, macarons, and cupcakes. The bride found working with Bri to be one of the highlights of her vendor experience. With an impressive array of macaron flavors that could rival a rainbow, visitors are tempted to try them all!
More flavors of Macaroon than colors in the rainbow. Now I wanted to try almost everything they had to offer, but be carful, those small macaroons can add up quickly. For my large box I ended up forking over a President Grant, which felt hefty, but if I had as many Italian cookies from another bakery I'd likely have paid the same price. Not I didn't write down all the flavors of macaroon I got, but I can say that there were several more I did not get as they had chocolate. (and I can't eat the stuff sadly) But on top of those I also bought a key lime blondie, a lemon bar, vanilla cupcake, caramel drizzle cupcake, and a gluten free raspberry drizzle cupcake. For what I tried I found the blondie to be rather flavorless sadly, but the lemon bar made up for it by being exactly what I think of when it comes to a good lemon bar. Slightly tart, a nice crust, and just a touch of sweetness on top. I didn't get to the cupcakes, but I was able to try a handful of the macaroons. There was a creme brulee, pumpkin spice, vanilla, spiked eggnog, and the earl grey which I caught myself before I chewed too long as it turned out to be chocolate filled. (not exactly my fault, I did mention early on during my selection I can not eat chocolate, but I didn't ask questions about each one) Overall the macaroons are clearly the breadwinner for this location, but given their sweetness I'd only recommend buying up to four unless you're buying for a party. The service was really nice, with a father and daughter team running things when I visited. Felt kinda cozy because of that vibe. And while the price was steep, it was only because of how many selections I made.

Whiskey Business Bakery was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding dessert table! From start to finish, the owner was incredibly kind, professional, and communicative, making the entire process seamless. She truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The desserts were not only stunning but also absolutely delicious—our guests couldn’t stop raving about them! On top of that, the pricing was extremely reasonable for the exceptional quality we received. If you’re looking for a bakery that delivers both incredible service and amazing treats, look no further than Whiskey Business Bakery. Highly recommend!

I love to support small businesses, and after my first experience with them, it made me even more happy that I placed my order with them. The process was so easy and on the day of pick up, they were so helpful. I believe it was the owner herself and her father. Great customer service by the older gentleman. Macaroons we’re perfect size, they were scrumptious soft and chewy. Love the pistachio flavor. Not overly sweet, same as her cupcakes. We will definitely be back.

Bri did an incredible job for my baby shower. Everyone raved about the macarons - I heard many “the best I’ve ever had”. They were perfectly decorated and flavored. Thank you so much!

I am a Pastry Chef and went to Culinary Institute Of America however I wasn't baking on my birthday and can't bake at my home right now due to personal circumstances so I decided to buy a variety of cupcakes instead of a cake so i went to Whiskey Business because it's one of two Gluten-free Bakeries in the area and i was told about it by a friend of mine who knows the owner and does alot of business with her and Sandye I do alot of business with too she and has been my friend for the past two years and on my birthday October 3rd i went into Sandye's Cafe & Cakes Bought some regular Cupcakes then went to get some cupcakes that were Gluten Free from Brianna the owner Of whiskey Business who was very Rude after i left her store, I learned from someone that's she started complaining to other bakers in the area that I posted on my FB page that I made the cupcakes I purchased and she obviously had a misunderstanding about how the post was on my page when I said "My Cupcakes" 🧁 not meaning I made them, as you see in the picture I had Sandye's cupckaes mixed in with whiskey business cupcakes but she went with her assumption and was dramatic on the situation calling it Fraud etc. With her friend Sarah how professional is that.......anyways to make a long story short she complained I cleaned out her display case etc. Well obviously you don't take pride that much in what you make if you complain about people cleaning out your case buying items! I will No longer do business with this bakery because of her Screenshot drama on social media and writing back and forth to each other and looking at people's social media accounts is not Professional at all nor is good Customer Service Skills! I will further my business with Sandye's Cafe & Cakes and if you want Good Gluten Desserts I Highly Recommend Different Blend Bakery on Carmen Road over Whiskey Business on Union Street because their Cupcakes were not good anyways and dry and it's no where near as good as Different Blend Bakery! On Carmen Road! * It sad being a owner of Whiskey business and calling people around Schenectady complaining that I gave you a terrible review, too bad Maybe you should of been a little more professional and not complained too much, the review board is there for a reason for people to base their opinions, complaints etc. If you can't handle that then your in the wrong field as a business owner, If you want better quality French Macrons or desserts and Not Dry Cupcakes I suggest you go see Sandye's Cafe & Cakes and Different Blend Bakery because I know they won't complain if you buy out there entire display case or if someone gave them a bad review!
Timothy S — Google review
I’m totally indecisive about flavors, so cupcakes and a small cutting cake were the way to go for my wedding. I can’t possibly convey how helpful Bri was with recommendations on flavors and how much to get! Absolutely gorgeous. I had a little leftovers, but the perfect amount that everyone devoured!!

Found the bakery one weekend during a festival in the area. Went in and tried a cheesecake. It was overall good. Liked it enough to inquire about having a cake done for my son's birthday. The owner told me to email her a picture of what I was looking for and the amount of people. I emailed her a bunch of detail along with the picture and got a response back of...."sorry but I'm booked for the date you need. Hope you think of us for another event". No I will not think of you. First off, you can't even speak on price when I went in person nor in your email. I NEVER heard of a business turning away business. If you can't accommodate multiple parties on the same day, my suggestion is don't be a store front. Stick with a side business. Your competitors like coccidots won't turn away money and will get your customers. Secondly, at least entertain the email of the cake design. Maybe give your customer a chance to know price or even inquire about maybe asking if the cake can be picked up earlier. The email reply is definitely what turned me off.

Loved the banana bread stacker sundae. Only complaint is there is no place to sit that isn't in the direct sun. We got there around 6pm...and the sun was at an angle where even if you sat under the Pavillion, it was so hot, direct sun

Good local favorite. Traditional flavor burst, slushie, and hard ice creams. Soft serve, dole vegan flavors and waffle cones! Goes above with ice cream sundaes, ice cream nachos, and an assortment of flavors. Picnic tables, gazebo and peaceful setting for a night of family memories, first dates or "me" time. Don't forget the shakes! My girl group and I love to sit and catch up, watch the sunset. Or watch the firemen across the street if that's your speed! Conveniently located in rotterdam (or south schenectady which is new to me). There's pizza next door, great one stop shop for parties. The staff is friendly and welcoming, they know what's good and in season. Dog friendly patio for those of us who love to dog watch or the dog parents who want a night out on the town. A well known establishment for us locals and inviting to those who are not. Poppys is here to stay! Thank you to everyone who has a hand in this late evening crowd favorite. Blueberry cheesecake *chefs kiss* YES.

Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is a vibrant self-serve dessert haven that invites you to indulge in a delightful array of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings, all sold by weight. With an impressive selection, guests can create their own custom cups filled with deliciousness at an affordable price. The cheerful decor adds a playful touch, making it perfect for families and kids alike. While the atmosphere can get warm later in the day, friendly service and numerous topping options make up for it.
My first Froyo! It was delightful to see so many flavors and you can make your own custom cup. Price was on the affordable end and the decor was cute/for kids :) Definitely recommended. We're planning to go again and try Pecan Praline with just Vanilla mixed in!

Good yogurt. The catch here is the one size huge cups. Since you pay per ounce, you must be careful not to overfill your cup. It would be better if they offered small, medium and large cups, especially for the kids. The yogurt may boast about being healthy, but the toppings are not! After putting toppings on frozen yogurt, the weight increases and when you weigh in to pay it is pricey.

Worst customer service experience ever. The girls are rude and pretend to be nice, they tall bad about customers the minute they walk out. Also the employees are eating ice cream while apparently working. Highly unprofessional. Also an employee accused me of a slur through 6 in. Of solid glass. Absolutely ridiculous, I tried a sample of an ice cream, the tiniest bite out of my bowl and immediately was yelled out by the employee. I said I'd pay for the difference! Absolutely not an inviting atmosphere, more like west point academy for cadets!

Good selection but it gets super hot inside later in the day, so you'll probably want to go sit someplace cooler and not sun baked all afternoon. Service was friendly and helpful, though, and there were a ton of great toppings options.

Good Fro-yo! I really like the fro-yo here, the place is very clean, they have a nice rewards club. My only complaint would be that they rarely ever have cones!
William L — Google review
Love this place but, what happened? Why are you guys not open and please say you’re coded on google, we drove 20 mins to find out y’all were not open, ugh.
Ominousbean — Google review
They don't let you sample. They allowed our family of five two sample cups -total- and then when we asked for more the employee rolled her eyes and said "how do I know you're going to buy something?" Well I'm not now!
Ana S — Google review
I come here ALL the time, between me and my boyfriend at least 15 times. The employee here rudely told us we couldn’t try more than two samples of the new flavors. How Are We Supposed To Try What’s New? By looking at it I assume.Wont Be Back!!!!

My husband and I were looking for a place to purchase an ice cream cake for our son, and we stumbled upon Curry Freeze. Ordering online was a simple process, the prices were reasonable, and picking up the cake was easy. The customer service was excellent, and the cake itself was delicious, fresh, and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be returning to Curry Freeze in the future, not only for their cakes but also for their ice cream.
This place is a staple in the area - and just plain 'ole has great ice cream. We all got small cones of soft serve the last time we were there, and one of us got a milkshake. The small cone is plenty in my opinion, but they have other sizes. They have a wide assortment of stuff though

Great place to go for homemade ice cream. It was really good! They also have a ton of other options like soft serve, dole whip, flurries, sherbet, smoothies. The line was long but it moved fast. This definitely seems like the place to go. People were very nice. 2 smalls were $10. So a little pricey but I think that’s normal compared to other places these days.

My daughter dropped her ice cream cone as she was leaving Curry Freeze . Last year at Highbridge ice cream she accidentally did the same thing. The employee at Highbridge ice cream was very kind, told her no worries and gave her a new cone. When she told the women at Curry Freeze what happened the women asked her what she wanted her to do about it. How about not be a rude person to a kid that just dropped her expensive ice cream?? A little kindness goes a long way! I am all about my child accepting personal responsibility and I also understand if it’s a policy to not replace dropped icecream but the employee could have handled the situation totally differently. My child was not being rude, was polite, said please and thank you. She deserved a little more than that employees terribly rude response! I hope this lady does better to someone else’s kid next time they accidentally drop their icecream.

Never had any issues here. Good soft-serve & a nice place to take your family to! :) Their outdoor seating could be improved upon IMO but it's not a huge deal.

We went to get ice cream nachos and the waffle was completely stale. My boyfriend brought it back and they wouldn’t remake it. They told them they had no fresh cones and handed him a cone to break up himself. After standing there for over 10 minutes - the ice cream was completely melted. He proceeded to go back to the window and they completely ignored him. Not to mention that was the manager. We’ve been coming here for over 10 years. Never again!

Yummy fresh ice creams. Fairly priced and fast service. Portions figure friendly! I had blackraspberry and French coffee roast. Terrific.

The whole family loves this place. Never a bad time, busy street to get in and out but amazing people and ice cream!
Dan B — Google review
As always the service was fine. Being it's late in the season, I didn't have too long a wait, and the product is always good quality

Guptill's Ice Cream is a renowned establishment that serves a wide range of unique flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt. With its distinctive window-serve setup and outdoor seating, it has become an iconic spot for customers to enjoy their frozen treats. The shop is well-prepared to cater to large crowds with multiple windows available for efficient service. While some reviews suggest that the shakes took slightly longer than the ice creams, overall, the experience at Guptill's Ice Cream appears to be positive.
Very delicious soft serve ice cream! Fast and friendly serve. Highly recommended for your dessert treat after dinner or anytime you're craving for ice cream.

It was good with a lot of opinions. Atmosphere was nice and quiet despite having a lot of people there. Worth noting that we arent big eaters so we asked for a small. Three small cones was over $20 and they weren't at all small. If you are looking for a light treat I would say go with the kiddie. Also they didn't have any kind of wash sink or bathroom so we left quite sticky. Other than that it was very nice.

Great ice cream shop in Latham area. Lots of parking and seating on the side. They got some yummy ice cream flavors also. Most of the time we buy Homemade Brownie Sunday.
Sunooj S — Google review
Lived here my entireife and never had their ice cream, they have dairy free ice cream and it was delicious, not as amazing as pirates hideout up the road in halfmoon, but definitely pretty tasty dairy free ice cream!
Tara ( — Google review
May be the best local ice cream spot in the 518, honestly. Huge portions and many flavor options. My only grievance is that I wish they didn't do cash only.
Ayon I — Google review
Guptill's Ice Cream is certainly one of the best ice cream shops in the capital region! They have so many delicious and unique items to try, and their employees provide great service, too. I recommend getting a flurry. They have tons of good combos for those. If you want some delicious ice cream, come to Guptill's!
