We came here as my daughter wanted a cupcake and we hadn’t been for a long time. We sat outside in the glorious sunshine looking at York Minster in a lovely atmosphere. My daughter enjoyed a chocolate orange cupcake and I had a latte. I tried the cupcake and it was delicious as was the latte. The staff are lovely and nothing is a problem. Definitely a must visit if you’re local or visiting!

We’ve been here several times for cupcakes and coffee and are always impressed! We recently had our baby shower cake made here and it was perfect. Charlotte was so lovely from the beginning, made the perfect cake and all our guests commented on how delicious it was 😊

I'm honestly really surprised by all the reviews raving about the cupcakes on here? Like did I just get a bad batch? This weekend we picked this bakery to try as we tend to look at highly rated bakeries and choose one to go every weekend, we're mad about cake! And I was sadly really underwhelmed by this place, don't get me wrong the aesthetic the location the hosts everything was perfect and beautiful but the product itself was just sad, if you advertise a Flavoured cupcake in my eyes the cupcake should actually carry that flavour through but what these ones are is plain with a chocolate decoration on top I mean anyone can do that? Definitely not the best cupcake I've had, the sponge was OK not dry but not moist either the frosting was nice and creamy, but the flavours were either vanilla or a very light chocolate, not the snickers they advertised or the almond and raspberry, honestly quite underwhelmed and disappointed, I would recommend some kind of filling in the cupcakes or flavouring the creamy to actually provide the flavour advertised,

We visited on Sunday. The outside seating area was full do we got coffees and a box of cupcakes to takeaway and sat on one of the picnic benches opposite. My little girl dropped the box of cupcakes on the grass just as she reached the table and ruined all of the cakes. They heard the commotion and kindly brought out another box for free, which was so lovely of them. We did however go back in and pay as it was our fault not theirs. The cupcakes and coffee was delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Earlier this week my daughter and I did the chocolate making class at York Cocoa Works. We arrived a few minutes early and were warmly greeted. Looking around for a few minutes we watched the professionals hand making chocolate, saw some people on a guided tour and had a look around the shop. It 6 all be beautifully clean, well presented and spacious. We were the only two in the class with our host, the lovely Chloe. She was great at giving us lots of information about the chocolate making process before guiding us through the tempering process and helping us to make our chocolate bars. Lots of choices for added flavours and textures so we got creative. Whilst our bars were setting we popped into the cafe area for a cuppa. A really fun experience; highly recommended!

Great experience of chocolate truffle making and chocolate history in York. Instructor was lovely and full of knowledge. Chocolates were delicious. Booking was for 2.5hrs but was over in 1.5hrs but a fabulous morning activity nonetheless! 🍫

We did the chocolate indulgence and lollipop making and had a really good time! The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable and everything we tried was delicious. They even gave us a free gingerbread cookie for our friend with a lactose intolerance. It would have been nice to have some more topping options for the lollipops but they were only £5 each so can’t complain really.

Me and my partner came today for the Manufactory tour hosted by Maya, a very friendly, knowledgeable guide. It was a lot of fun learning about the process of the cocoa beans, the different producers and particularly trying the cocoa nibs and guessing the cocoa percentages in the dark chocolates! Would recommend this place and would love to try another soon. Finished with a Quite Dark hot chocolate! Really decadent, plus 10% off in the cafe and gift shop for tour purchasers!

We booked the Chocolate Manufactury talk and Tasting during our stay in York. I found the talk was interesting and the tasting fun for adults although it was much less focused on young children (under 5) and difficult to keep them occupied. The chocolate tasting was good but only had dark chocolate and didn't include truffles or anything decadent. There was a small discount on the in store purchases although there were no small chocolates or truffles available. We purchased some hot chocolate which was nice but very expensive. I wouldn't go again

Great coffee and hot chocolate! They had chocolate bar making classes going on for kids when we went in, looked like good fun.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the chocolate tasting tour but it was brilliant! Learned so much about how chocolate is made and also the amazing variety of tastes achieved from the different cocoa beans. I was sceptical I would taste much difference but was amazed how complex the chocolate was. I can only describe it as like whiskey tasting with a journey of flavour that changes over the time as you eat it. Sounds highbrow but honestly it was done with such fun and enthusiasm from our chocolatier guide, Greg. He really made the experience! He was amazing with our kids too and really got them involved. A brilliant experience and well worth it. Greg is a jewel for this business and we were so impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Highly recommend.

So pleased we came across this gorgeous place during our weekend in York. We three ladies love our coffee and this has to be up there as one of the best. Add to that a delicious mini ice cream on the side and it's a winner! There was a lovely welcoming young lady to take our order and that certainly inspires a 5* star review.

This place sells hands down the most amazing coffee in York, or at least amongst all the ones we tried through the visit !! Me and my friend had the worst hangover the night before, and nothing seemed to be helping, but thankfully the coffee did ! The server was kind as ever, which made all the difference, as we went two days in a row ! Tried their flapjack too, and I generally am not a fan, but it was so so good ! 200% recommended!

A great little Italian cafe, if we go into York it's hard to fight the temptation to visit here for a coffee and sweet treat. The cakes, coffee, cannaloni & ice cream are fab and the gluten free options are very good too

Absolutely beautiful ice cream with many flavours on offer. We were served by Emily, a very polite and friendly young lady with a smile for everyone. I shall definitely be returning the next time I'm in York.

The ice cream itself tasted great but it didn't appear to be open and it was quite messy. Seemed to be only 1 staff member. We also weren't told how much it cost just given the card machine. No clear price menu.

Amazing flavours & choice. I had peanut butter brownie in a Nutella topped cone. My nice had bubblegum ice cream in a Teddy bear cone. Really enjoyed it & will definitely be going again.

My family of 5 tried LICC today. The mint Aero and elderberry and pineapple sorbets were good, but the other flavors we tried (stracciatella, rhubarb elderflower raspberry, sour cherry ripple, peach lychee) weren't very intense, though the texture was nice. My kids were disappointed that they weren't offering sundaes as far as we could tell. They have some fun toppings and we liked the cones with the rims dipped in chocolate and other fun coatings. The chocolate with sprinkles made for a beautiful cone! I was disappointed because the flavors sounded so delicious. Maybe it's my American palate. I found the gelato at Roberto, also in York, to be absolutely perfect.

We had the Catalan and Rillettes Galettes, and wow, they were so good! Really good size and filled to the brim. Definitely recommend trying one of these.

Definitely worth recommending and a must-try when you’re here. The outer layer is crispy, with plenty of toppings, and the price is quite reasonable.

Highly recommend! We had the Truffle Galettes (a savory crêpe) and it was absolutely spot-on. The dish was not only incredibly flavourful, but also the filling was generous with cheese and other ingredients. A huge bonus was the experience: we got there early, around 11:00 AM, and avoided the rush completely. Zero wait!

1. On the day of my visit, the male owner was handling the cash. I purchased a crêpe for £6.50, and he gave me all my change in 20p coins. When I politely asked if he could provide £1 or £2 coins instead, he rudely replied, “This is all I have.” However, I noticed he gave £1 and £2 coins to other customers when giving change. 2. When I received the crêpe, its presentation and appearance were very poor and unappealing. Upon tasting it, the flavour was equally disappointing. Overall, the price was high, and the quality did not match the cost. 3. Regarding the change and the crêpe’s poor appearance mentioned above, I took clear photos to document the issues. These will be attached to my review to provide further evidence of my experience.

This is my third trip to York and my third stop at KREP. I love their savory crepes. Most recently I had the Truffe. It was rich and delicious. If you love mushrooms you’ll love the wonderful flavors in this crepe. The crepe itself was crispy and buttery. I have sampled several of their crepes and have enjoyed them all. I highly recommend!

I tried the crepes at the krep stall in Shambles Market and really liked it. I had a savoury crepe, which was delicious. My partner went for a sweet one with crème, Nutella, and strawberries. While it sounded great, it didn’t quite hit at first—and in the end, he actually liked mine better. Friendly Staff.

This photo is from a few years ago but please please please bring back this savoury crepe with Herb and lemon chicken, cheese, onion and seasoned sliced potatoes. IT WAS DIVINE

Excellent cake and tea etc. I had Victoria sponge with ice cream - both very fresh and delicious. Highly recommend but often very busy throughout the day/week. It’s a must visit and we meet there regularly.

Four of us went here for a cake break and we had a nice time. We tried a slice of carrot cake, white chocolate cake and a strawberry cake. The carrot cake was the best. The lady who served us was very kind. The interior decor is quite beautiful too. Thank you

Visited for a quick lunch on a shopping visit and was impressed by the vibrant, slightly quirky interior of the place. Plenty to choose from on the menu and prices seemed reasonable. Some of the choices were fairly basic, but sometimes I find that's all I want anyway. And even the beans on toast were placed on the plate with care. Special mention for the soup of the day. Wensleydale and Cauliflower. Just had to try it and it was delicious.

We used to love this place. So we took our niece and her baby. The staff were rude from the outset. Partner and niece went to the counter to order and were rudely told that someone will come to the table to order. They both said they felt like they’d been told off for going up to the counter!! We waited for a long time for someone to come take our order but it was busy so this was understandable to a degree. Food was average. Drinks were nice. Not sure I’d be bothered about going back.

We found this lovely cafe by chance. I'm so glad we did. Paninis with crisps and a bit of salad were excellent but the cakes, oh my. The brownie was amazing and the cherry bakewell cake was one of the best cakes I have ever had. So good I got another slice to take home! The tea was leaf and plentiful.

We've been here once before. Quirky interior, prices reasonable, staff welcoming, efficient and helpful. The menu is different, but in a good way. My wife had cheese and onion panini which comes with salad, declared very tasty, and I had cheese and pickle sandwich which came as a "cake'ole club" which means there's an extra slice and a layer of salad. All exellent, if a bit filling. No objections there! Overall, a treat for lunch. The selection of cakes looked both comprehensive and enormous but we'd no room left. An ideal place to go if it's raining (this is Yorkshire after all) as it's all under cover.

Overall a disappointing experience. I found the 'older' members of staff here very rude. They want you to wait for a seat but whilst we were there multiple people had not seen the sign telling you to wait to be seated. Clearly if multiple people are doing it then it's a problem with the sign placement not the people who hadn't seen it! (Can I suggest a sign on a stand rather than in the window?). Whilst I was here the man behind the counter also rudley told a woman that she couldn't place her pram at the end of a table because it would block a route in and out of the cafe, HOWEVER it was the tone in which he said this which was an issue, it's not hard to be polite to people especially when they are paying your wages. I don't think I will be back however I do hope that this feedback is taken on board for anyone else who dare to visit this establishment in future. The cake I had was very dry and disappointing but the coffee was ok. And thankyou to the two young ladies who were serving people in a slightly more friendly fashion. :)

Mixed reviews from our sample family. The two who got the peach and mango twist (the 'twist' being a vanilla swirl) were a little disappointed - though the double flake was a nice touch. Cones also got very damp and started dripping despite being eaten fast. The two with a lemon twist (also: in a tub) lived them and thought they were delicious. You takes your pick...

Ice cream lunch for us... we were passing by and intrigued, saw a free table and went for it! The Harbour Bar is set out in a 50's style Diner. They do lots of varieties of sundaes, ice creams, waffles, Soda floats etc. Between us we got a variety; a toasted waffle with ice cream and strawberries, a kids sundae, and cherry amore sundae and a cherry Soda float. All of really enjoyed what we got, with nothing left at the end! Staff were pleasant and nice, and managed to remember my order without writing anything down! The whole place was fairly tidy and clean, and as stated earlier was very much 50's Diner themed. Recommend if visiting this area!

I’ve always loved the Harbour Bar since I first came to Scarborough . It’s a unique and culturally exceptional seafront experience. Today we had an absolutely delicious Eton Mess each! They are enormous, fabulously presented and delicious with loads of fresh raspberries too. The staff are so friendly and it’s a joy to be amongst diverse professional waitresses who are very attentive and welcoming to all customers. A beautiful little slice of how wonderfully inclusive a local business is.

Excellent! Harbour Bar has no doubt been serving top quality ice cream for many decades. We visited recently - opted to share a knickerbocker glory. It was sensational. Well recommended!

Brought memories of childhood holidays flooding back. Great cafe on the sea front .... worth a visit? 100% a trip to Scarborough isn't the same without a visit to the Harbour Bar.

The place to get your flavoured whippy style ice cream, so good I had to go back twice to try different flavours. Banana top whippy and bubblegum whippy ice cream. Delicious, creamy and light. Not every ice cream place gets the balance of cream to air right but these guys do. It was just a perfect balance, get one here if you can.

Been here for 80 years, and it’s easy to see why. Still the best ices and eats. Still the best atmosphere. Still the best staff. Still the greatest experience. Still the jewel in the Scarborough crown. Special thanks to Phoebe whom we managed to see on her last shift and Caitlin who was lovely as ever. Already counting down to our next visit!

A wonderful visit to Mama Doreens in Harrogate with our 9-Year old daughter, we were warmly greeted and enjoyed the "Friends Themed Afternoon Tea" which was amazing & wonderfully inventive! The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed & our daughter enjoyed her children's version of the afternoon tea - and was excited to receive her sweety bag at the end! We couldnt eat it all - so boxed the rest & took it home. All-in-all a great experience & highly recommended!

Loved the venue, the decor was lovely and autuminal themed. Got seated really quickly with a copy of the menu for what we booked. We had opted for the Sunday lunch afternoon tea. Took 30 minutes for this to arrive with our tea, and where this doesn't sound long, for this being pre booked, I think a little excessive. When it arrived everything looked delicious, we could also see the other themed options and they looked equally as good. We couldn't finish the sweet treats so had to have take out. One recommendation I would put forward to the team is the cold sandwich selection (ham and piccalilli & beef with horseradish), these are strong flavours that aren't for everyone but there isn't an option to have them made without. I think with booking ahead you could specify that this is left off, but they can't accommodate which is a shame as that definitely spoilt my experience. Overall I think it's expensive, you are paying for the experience rather than the food as such. But glad I've done it. The trifle and pigs in blankets was delicious 🤤

Such a lovely tearoom! Had a wonderful time here recently and really enjoyed their full tea service. Sandwiches were very nice as were their selection of cakes. Service was attentive and prompt.

I would like to share what was a very disappointing visit on Friday 26 September for my mother’s 80th birthday. Pre-booked with request of a 80th birthday and table away from the door if possible. Pleasant welcome but no reference to a birthday visit at all. Table away from the door, yes but literally tucked behind the bar/counter right in the corner. For me, the worst table in the place. Took an age for someone to ask if we had had our order taken (which we hadn’t) and take it. Ordered tea, brie sandwiches with cup of soup and ham/cheese sandwiches with cup of soup. Tea was luke warm and the teapot was a bad dribbler. Really annoying. Brie panini arrived. Advised chap server that it was wrong. He didn’t offer to change. Said we’d try it. Knife wouldn’t cut it!!! Didn’t like it and left it. Then we ordered scones with jam and cream. Had to ask for additonal napkins and knives. These were very nice. Advised the order was wrong and scones weren’t charged. At no time during the lunch did anyone come and ask if we were good. There were other people at the cafe enjoying their birthday with special attention from the staff. No thank you and goodbye either. Really, really disappointing. A previous visit was great. Your attitude and lack of service spoilt what was meant to be a lovely little memorable lunch. Please be mindful of future visitors as I wouldn’t want them to have the same experience.

We had the most wonderful experience at Mama Doreen’s in Harrogate, and it was made truly special thanks to Tasha. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. Her warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine care turned our visit into something memorable. Tasha anticipated everything we needed without us even asking and made sure every part of our afternoon tea was perfect. It’s rare to come across someone who delivers service with such enthusiasm and kindness — she really is a credit to the team! Thank you, Tasha, for making our visit so lovely. We’ll definitely be back soon and will be recommending Mama Doreen’s (and you!) to all our friends.

Nice place food is really nice plenty of gluten free options and huge portions . Would be a 5 star but I felt like in the end of our reservation they kicked us out . We still had 5 minutes we were just taking our coats and the server already started to clean the table and set up for the next guest . I can understand it’s a very busy place however would be nice to give us an extra two minutes just to get our bags and jackets .

Fantastic. Good value. Some lovely options. Huge enough to share. Even doggy ice cream 🍦 😋 Lots of parking. Accessible toilets. But do request they serve ice cream after your savoy meal. Or it will all come at once! .... Most yummy..x

Wow!!! What an ice cream . They have a great variety of flavours and sizes. You pay a little more than you would at an ice cream man but this was well worth it. I love how you can go inside to order or order outside. Most people inside seem to order food as well as Ice cream,where outside there seemed to be more ice creams and milkshakes/ drinks. I went today mainly for ice cream but the food looked amazing too. Think we will order food too on our next visit. I got cherry and strawberry in a tub ( three scooped ), my girlfriend got biscoff and mint chocolate ( in a cone, two scoops ). 10/10 for the ice cream.

Bloody lovely 😋 Even on a busy August Sunday afternoon, plenty of parking and we were served in good time. The ice cream isn't cheap, but its special. Loads of flavours and different cones, trays ect. They're definitely not stingy with the servings, which is great because the ice cream is soon moreish! Have a really interesting looking range of sausage rolls and stuff too which I will be trying when we go back. Because I will definitely return. Highly recommended 👌

Delicious ice cream, plenty of parking and a lovely path opposite to walk down to the beach with said ice cream. Toilets on the premises as well as other products. Inside and outside seating. We always come here if in the area. Wonderful staff, great place to go. Ignore the 1 star reviews, absolutely clowns when this place is a credit to the area, love it there.

Had afternoon tea at Mr Moos. Lovely staff and delicious food. Can definitely tell it is homemade! Fast service, great value for money, lovely touch having the festive ice cream cones at the end. Friendly staff, came to check on us a couple of times. Very clean place too.

I visited Dixon’s Ice Cream shop near the Swan Pub, Lockwood, today (26/04/2025) at around 8:45 PM with my wife and two children. The ice cream quality was excellent, no complaints there. However, I was overcharged by the girl who was serving me — the amount I paid in cash was noticeably higher than what was listed on the price board, and no receipt was provided. I don’t mind paying a little more for good quality, but there should be more transparency with pricing. I believe the owner should take notice of this to ensure customers, especially families, are charged fairly and given receipts with every purchase. Thank you.”

Went to the one on swan lane, there was a coloured member of staff who was so rude when I only asked simple questions. I asked if I could have a bubble waffle and a Dutch pancakes and she replied very blunt and rude and rolled her eyes at me and said ‘we only have cakes it’s summer’ in a disgusting attitude. Why open in the summer if all you’re gonna do is cakes? You’re a dessert shop. Do not recommend at all. Will not be buying from here.

Shrinkflation at a local level working here. The tub sizes have changed and are much reduced (certainly for a medium tub). Dixons make fantastic ice cream although the portion sizes vary wildly from one server to the next. A visit can be completely hit or miss. We've decided not to visit as much anymore given the above and that it proves to be very expensive compared to alternatives, particularly given the shrinking portion sizes. It no longer feels like a treat but rather an expensive disappointment.

Dixon's is the best ice-cream but the service in lockwood was very poor today. They were extremely slow at serving, one person stood and watched some doughnuts warming up rather than serving someone else while they warmed up. Neither worker smiled while serving. I asked for juice on a 2 litre tub which apparently they cannot put on a 2 litre tub but can put on a 0.950 litre tub beacause the lid will not fit on even thougb the 0.950 litre has a lid. I could by a bottle of juice for £4 though even they i spent £15.90 0n icescream. The 2 litre tub has gaps where it is not filled could of put juice in those caps. Very disappointed especially as it is so expensive anyway, we will not be retuning there.

Absolutely awful service at the Lockwood branch. I asked for a chocolate milkshake, then changed it to Oreo – the staff member agreed, but still made two milkshakes. When I corrected her that I ordered one milkshake when she provided me with both, instead of admitting her mistake she was rude, defensive, and accused me of “watching her” without speaking up (even though her back was turned the whole time!). She kept putting words in my mouth and talking down to me. This was a young white woman with blond hair. Disgusting service. I’ve never had problems at the Batley or Leeds Road branches, as the staff are brilliant. But this one is run with zero professionalism. If this is how they treat customers over a simple misunderstanding, I will definitely be telling family and friends to stay clear from this branch. Staff clearly need training in basic customer service and respect. Will unfortunately have to conduct this review on my food review page.

Dixcons ice cream are really very nice and the portion nd quality is also very good but the staff is not good enough they charge me more than the actual price I don’t know why there are always in a rush .

After moving to Huddersfield we first tried Dixon ice-cream from a ice-cream van at the park and since then we are hooked. Later found the Dixon's Lockwood store and tried many flavours and all the flavours are excellent. Next time if you are in Huddersfield you should try Dixon

Lovely cafe with some amazing ice cream! My kid dropped her scoop, when we went to buy another they said they saw the scoop fell down and gave another free! It was just such a sweet gesture.

Our go-to place on our walks around the bays. Nice coffee, great sausage sarnie. The staff are always nice and polite.

One of the best ice creams I've ever had in the UK bar none. It’s cheap but the ice cream balls are huge. Definitely great value! This is the first time I've given a review on Google Maps cus I really love this shop!

Great service in this little cafe, we both had ice cream sundaes. My wife had an Eton Mess which came with real strawberries & meringue, while I had a chocoholic Sundae which was delicious. I asked for no whipped cream on mine, and they gave me whippy ice cream on top instead which was really good of them. This cafe does Yorvale Ice Cream which is fresh from a local farm in Yorkshire, it's delicious and proper dairy ice cream. This cafe can be very busy, with seating available indoors and outdoors. Amazing service & quality

My girl had a strawberry ice cream with a cone. It cost £2 and she loved it, and finished it! Would recommend!

Me and my partner always head to Peches 'n' Cream every time we go to scarborough The cakes are excellent the STAFF are friendly And the service is excellent, I would highly recommend Anybody that visits scarborough to call in .

An exquisite chocolate tart! Today I visited Beverley for the first time and tried the most incredible chocolate tart (I hope, I remember it's name correctly)! Everything about it was perfect: the chocolate literally melts in your mouth, and the shortcrust base is of the highest quality. If, like me, you ever find yourself in this town, you absolutely must visit this place! I’m now regretting that I live an hour away, otherwise I’d definitely work my way through the entire menu! 😅 Bravo to the pastry chef! You are truly a master of your field!

This establishment is in Lairgate and frankly quite easy to miss because it is very small. However, my daughter and I loved it. We only went in for coffee and cake but we were made very welcome and the service was both cheerful and efficient. It advertises itself as “a taste of France” and that is a very accurate statement. It really is very authentic French patisserie and there is a very good choice too. We had fruit tartlets and they were certainly fruity, tangy, tasty and quite large. The pastry was superb. The coffee was smashing too. Two coffees and two tars came out at £10 .50 which was very reasonable. I was unaware that they also offered breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea as well as take-away food including home-made chocolates and celebration cakes. There are even speciality evenings monthly. I am returning with the family to try afternoon tea and I’ll report back shortly. This café is frankly a little gem, easily missed but don’t! Speciality Evening Meals Having noticed that speciality evening menus are also put on twice monthly, we tried one in February. The full cost of the meal was £29-95 per person, and you reserve a table with a £5/person deposit. You book your choice of dishes in advance. Vegetarian options are available if you ask. The establishment has no licence to sell alcohol, so you can bring your own wine but water is provided free and you can buy soft drinks. We indicated that we would be rather late arriving but you can start your meal anytime in the evening up to 8.00 pm. It was a smashing experience. There was a friendly atmosphere. It was warm and cosy and the service was quick, considerate and efficient. We had canapes on arrival, followed by tasty chicken liver pate. Two of us then had the fish duo roulade served with a creamy parsley sauce whereas my other daughter had opted for the pork fillet stuffed with brandy- soaked apricots. These main dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. They were followed by a smashing assiette gourmande. We finished with tea/coffee and petit fours. Extra tea/coffee was available if required. There are not many tables, so an evening can soon be fully booked. We have now reserved for March and nearly missed out although the proprietors indicated that they were prepared to put on extra evenings if there was enough demand. Speciality Evening Dinner Again! Its Speciality Evenings, twice or thrice monthly are absolutely smashing and such great value at £29.95 per guest. You get, for instance, canapes on arrival, a starter, main course, desert, coffee and petit fours. To give you an idea my daughter chose French onion soup and loved it. I had a delicious fish risotto and for the main course veal or duck were on offer. Cheesecake or chocolate mousse was available for dessert. All the desserts were beautifully presented, very tasty and the service was friendly and very efficient. We cannot get there early but were still able to eat from 8.00 pm. Menu details for the next few months can be picked up in the patisserie if interested. The afternoon tea is delicious, substantial and very good value. The sandwiches were superb, the bread fresh and tasty. I liked the Coronation Chicken and Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese particularly. You can order alternatives if required. There were no scones which was hardly surprising but both the savoury and sweet croissants were delicious, as were the cakes. You can have either tea or coffee. The tea was excellent and we were provided with welcome additional hot water and milk. The service is friendly and first rate You cannot book a table but if you arrive after 2 pm, you should have little problem getting a table. Christmas treats At Christmas we were tempted by some wonderful extra goodies. Beautifully presented, rich, indulgent and best shared cakes in the shape of Swiss chalets, candles and baubles. Treats to brighten up Christmas . All day breakfast : extensive menu, very tasty and good value. Recommend the bacon and egg breakfast basket

We just had morning tea for two, which was an amazing experience. Lady behind the counter was very friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough for you. Authentically decorated tea shop is absolutely welcoming, warm, and quiet. I had white chocolate and raspberry meringue, which is delicious and fresh. Definitely, l will visit again and taste other pastries!

What a find! A beautiful range of cakes and pastries in particular. The lemon meringue tart was outstanding, beautiful fine pastry, perfectly balanced lemon filling and the lightest meringue I've ever had.

Lovely éclairs and chocolate tart we got some bread too today , very nice baking loved all our items we bought defiantly recommend her cakes 🎂 baking is good 👍 we shall come back in another day

Delightful place, small but perfectly formed with lovely, welcoming and helpful lady behind the counter. It was nearer the end of the day and the sun had gone in, so my photographs could only capture what products were remaining. I had thought it was take out only, but apparently you can dine in. I got tempted by the cherry scone, the lime and chocolate tart and the amazing looking, stacked, chocolatey meringues. Yet to try them, but everything looked delicious. Shall definitely revisit when back in Beverley.

Cycling through, I asked a lady for a recommendation as a lunch stop, and as it was Pancake Day, she suggested The Pancake House. On arrival, both myself and my bike were greeted warmly, and although my bike had to stay outside, there was a bike size place the other side of my table by the window. I opted for the pot of tea, bowl of soup, and a lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon pancake. The soup is delicious, clearly home made, and a fortifying portion. My pancake was the best I have had in years. The team here, friendly and efficient. The owner is extremely passionate about his restaurant, rightly so. Life is about unique experiences and chance meetings. This is a supreme example of being out and about in the world, and enjoying being where your feet are.

Fantastic service and food. One of the party is vegan so had the smashed avocado on sourdough bread, a coffee and a milkshake created by our waitress made from Vegan Vanilla Ice-cream, Oat Milk and Oreo biscuits. Great atmosphere and will be sure to visit again.

Highly recommend The Pancake House Visited last year this year it was our destination for lunch. Lovely people the service was excellent and of course the food first class value for money. No frills you just feel welcome. Thank you see you next time we are in the area.

The nicest little place! Staff were lovely, nice buzzing atmosphere, very dog friendly, so dog friendly that they sell little doggy cakes! Had a traditional lemon and sugar pancake, their Berry smoothie and it was divine. Also had a waffle with honeycomb ice cream and it was awesome. Highly recommend, will visit again when back in Yorkshire!

The food is not tasty - first too much chocolate syrup in the desert, secondly the one with chicken was too sweet and too spicy. The air conditioner doesn’t even exist here, and it was super hot and sweaty. The table was sticky. A must when passing through or visiting Pately Bridge! The pancakes, both savoury and sweet, are delicious and the mushrooms are honestly the best I’ve ever had as part of a breakfast/brunch. Friendly staff and a lovely setting with loads of choice.

Popped in here today (31/03) mid training ride for a fuel stop. Very friendly & welcoming staff. Food was absolutely delicious and definitely what I needed to see me through the remainder of the ride. Definitely found my new pit-stop destination when I'm passing through!

Second visit in the past month, we ignored the negative reviews on Trust pilot. Decided to visit for our selves. What's not to love. We've had Full English Breakfasts, on both occasions. Plus Muffin Breakfast, Highly recommend, we can not fault the food or service at all. Thankyou.

We had a great visit to the Rydale Museum. Unfortunately, our experience was soured by the Forge Tea Rooms cafe. We entered to look at the lunch menu but decided the available options weren't what we were looking for and chose to leave. Before we could exit the premises, a member of staff ran after us and publicly confronted us at the door. Is it the cafe's policy to confront potential customers who decide not to order? The staff member's hostile approach made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This is a bizarre and unprofessional way to treat customers, and it's a poor reflection on the business.

Oh wow! Just wow ! Truly superb food! We had mortadella, mozzarella and home made pesto, on a panini and a focaccia. All of which was truly excellent, very clearly home made, light breads, no resemblance to the stodgy stuff normally found elsewhere. Then a piece of THE MOST DIVINE tiramisu 😲😋 All so clearly home made, as we're not bloated at all 👍🏻 We will most definitely be back for more of this superb food.

Went for a afternoon lunch, We ordered Samosa chat and Chicken boty with naan. Service was too slow for the small order , the chicken was good, but the Chat was a bit stale and not fresh . Still there are many other dishes to try , so will go again.

I visited Mughal Restaurant for a halwa puri breakfast, and unfortunately, it turned into one of the most disappointing food experiences I’ve ever had. While eating, I found a big mosquito inside the puri. I immediately complained to a staff member who was moving around, and to their credit, they replaced everything — including the chana and puri. Still, after that incident, we didn’t feel like eating much due to the bad feeling. We decided to parcel the halwa and puri instead. When I came back home and opened the parcel, I was shocked to find a bee wing inside the food. This was extremely disturbing. I’m sharing this for public awareness because such issues point to serious hygiene problems in the kitchen. The staff, and possibly the owner, did apologize, explaining it as a “weather issue.” But honestly, if insects or their parts are ending up in the food, that’s not the weather — it’s poor cleanliness and lack of attention in food preparation. I had been willing to let it go after the first apology and didn't take the picture, but the second discovery left me completely disappointed. I still paid the full amount for a breakfast that not only ruined my appetite but also my trust. In the end, I had to throw everything in the dustbin. This was a truly unpleasant experience, and I will certainly never return. I urge others to be cautious and not eat blindly.

A little bit pricy roughly £10-£15 per person, very busy, we got Lucky and got seat quickly. The Nihari was amazing, very tasty. The service was very good and very friendly staff. I did not give Atmosphere 5 star because of music (personal choice). Otherwise, it was lovely.

Ordered a take away using uber. You will pray Mughals special biryani and what u get is a mixed chicken and meat rice. I guess with a 100% certainty that they just mix the rice with curry and call it biryani and that’s what u get for ur money. I hope they know what real biryani looks like or tastes like. Not sure why they lie. They can be honest and name it fried rice or something. But honesty doesn’t run businesses I guess The curry was as horrible. We have lost all sense and taste of real Asian food as customers. That’s why they thrive and feel comfortable to fool us.

We never leave Mughals disappointed! The food is always fantastic and the customer service is just as great. Our firm favourites are the nihari and the halwa channa breakfast - both full of flavour and consistently delicious. They've recently introduced a Royale Thaali, which has quickly become our new go-to dish. It offers a little bit of everything: saag, daal, and halwa channa - perfect for when you can’t decide what to have!

We always indulge in one or two (or more) when we see Cupcake time around at Sheffield Markets. They are always unbelievably light and fluffy with a good measure of buttercream (as they should be :) ) They have a good range of flavours too. We highly recommend them whether its a treat for yourself or for an event/celebration.

My son always insists on a cupcake from Cupcake time when we visit the various markets held at Greenhill library. Although at Christmas we took advantage of an offer and he got 4 which he shared with is friend. Fantastic service everytime and given there's not even a crumb left to try they are very tasty. I usually buy cakes for my daughter's birthday but now she's moved out it's too much for her and her boyfriend so decided on cupcakes as it meant I could have some too!. I had left it really late to arrange but Jennie was super helpful squeezing me in. I ordered a box of 12, they looked amazing with perfect piping and a happy birthday topper. They tasted just as good and I could very easily scoffed loads, unfortunately I only got one before my daughter whisked them away😂. I highly recommend.

This place is wonderful, a giant area to play for the kids including bouncy castles, an 11 hole mini golf course for every age group to play. The indoor cafe is lovely inside and the food is really tasty but very fairly priced. The afternoon tea for two has a good selection and the ice creams are excellent. The interior decor is clean and tasteful, the bathrooms are clean and well maintained. We will be coming back again soon! ------ We've been many times and still love it.

This is a very lovely location to relax and have the children play and have fun. Bouncy castle for kids, you can't go wrong. We called in today for afternoon tea, a friend had bought me a voucher for it as a birthday present. We were made welcome and our drinks order was taken. We were served with a lovely tiered cake stand bearing assorted sandwiches, salad, pickles, cheese, fresh jam & cream scone, Victoria sponge cake & fabulous home made ice cream! We were stuffed to the gills!! A superb way to spend an afternoon, they also do breakfasts, lunches & Sunday roasts.....We will be back!

the ice cream is great, always used Pacittos, but we were served by a girl who was extremely rude and shouting at the customers to confirm their order to her. We were told shes worked all day, but thats not any excuse to speak to customers in this manner. we wont be returning and its a shame for Pacittos they have staff like this working in store.

I had a pot of Yorkshire tea with homemade treacle tart served with pouring/clotted cream. Nicely presented. It was a very reasonable £5.25 in total. The well stocked shop downstairs has an extensive range of goodies and gifts too numerous to mention, but all enticing, trust me! Yes, I would revisit.

This town needed a desi high chai vibe and snowcold have done it proud. What a wonderful afternoon tea, the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff ( Nabeel ) , the atmosphere and comfort was outstanding . The selection of desi twist and the traditional scone was fabulous, I like how we could choose our hot drinks , as I don’t drink desi tea! Overall the experience today was wonderful

My first visit. Restaurant is clean, the staff were very welcoming, being greeted and seated by Sanaa, who explained the ordering service. The desserts arrived quickly and were value money. I had the strawberry and banana Belgian waffle - which was a meal all by itself! Highly recommended and will be coming back again. 👍

Service with sanah was great, friendly and welcoming. Desserts were good, not too fond of the queen Victoria shake, tastes like toothpaste. One of the desserts were also served in a cracked dish, a little disappointed with this, however was sorted as soon as mentioned. Also ordered a lotus biscoff ( I af forgotten ) because they didn’t have no espresso shots left unfortunately. Overall good service could do with an improvement on desserts.

Ishal was incredibly warm and welcoming during our visit to snowcold. She greeted us with a cheerful smile and made sure we felt comfortable right away. Her menu suggestions were spot-on, and she checked in just enough to make sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. Been in today for the first time. Not sure how I didn’t know about this lovely little place. When you walk in there is a lovely friendly welcome. Lots of amazing flavours to choose from I had to try biscoff & wasn’t disappointed :) my dad had cookie & cream said it was amazing. Very creamy & great to know they make it in house. We will be back my kids love ice cream so we will be back soon :)

I've been going to Groovy Moo for alot of years now. Groovy Moo is the best of the best of gelato from Yorkshire UK. The owner is a very pleasant young lady indeed. If you want a great ice cream, go to this place.. A family run business as well. Highly recommended it. 💯

Nice little ice shop, they have lots of different flavours, i had a big cone with cappuccino, banoffee and raspberry which was absolute gorgeous. The lady that served me was super friendly. They have a nice room upstairs, you can sit against the radiator which is really good on cold days or if you have a bad back!

What an amazing little gem this is. We stumbled across this place when looking for places that sell Ice cream and they sell more than that. They have such a lovely selection. They have the traditional scoop in a cone or tub with a great array of flavours. They have ice cream that comes with waffles or pancakes and other bits I may not have even seen. My little boy loves bakewell tarts and he had bakewell tart flavour and it was perfection. My wife had a chocolate cake mix flavour with something else and she said it was out of this world. And I had a Salted caramel waffle. The waffle was soft and cooked perfectly and the ice cream was unreal. I'm not surprised there was a constant queue outside. Especially that it is not over priced. This place is amazing and the staff were so friendly and the owner was so down to earth and lovely. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

Called in today whilst on holiday in the area after seeing on TV. Very nice gelato - £7 for X2 ice creams which didn’t seem bad value for money for genuine gelato.

I adore ice cream places and this one is most certainly up there with the best! Incredible array of flavours, option for multiple scoops (I couldn't resist 2, jammy dodger and ginger, both fantastic), vegan options, toppings, different cones you name it. You can even buy tubs of the ice cream for your freezer! And to top it off a lovely seating area surrounded by all the other independent food places where you can watch the bread being made at the bakery next door. Go here if you're in Malton!

Stayed near here so had to visit for ice cream. Turned up just as they’d opened so totally quiet. Nice selection of ice creams. We had Risplith Ripple (cherry) and rum and raisin. Both delicious. Also partook of a coffee which was also good. Plenty of space and outdoor area for the summer. Hopefully a big enough car park. Toilets were good. Staff were friendly.

We ordered two cakes and two drinks. These were very nice however, feel slightly conned and misled re one of the cakes. There was one piece of key lime pie left, when we asked what it was, the lady said there was just the one piece left. When it came the one piece was half the size, from being told it was one piece to then only getting half of it brought to the table, just seemed mean and a bit of a dirt trick. .. whilst eating we noticed someone behind the counter eating something .. the other half of our key lime pie perhaps! Feels like we have been taken for fools !! Needless to say we won’t be coming to this stingy conning place again ! 😡 Staff overall anti social .. they’ll catch out the passing tourist .. but not us again.

Never used the place before but was just really craving a crepe? Had a look at a few places online but this one stood out for having a good selection and a good hygiene rating when compared to other places in range. The food took a while to come but it was SO worth the wait. Absolutely banging crepe! The ice cream came in a separate little tub which was so cute! (Saves it from melting all over the crepe in transit!!) The crepe was still a little warm, the sauces were so good, the banana tasted fresh, and it was just top tier. Probably the best crepe I've ever had in my entire life????

And mismatched information don't get a loner it's not worth the money the burgers are amazed allsorts best in area so far can't say much for ice cream the kids ones are bigger than adults and cheaper go figure, same with done meat you get less but pay more than you would from a cheaper restaurant the frozen yoghurt is to die for especially the raspberry this place could potentially be the best in the area If they sort therecmeasurements out and prices for the measurements I was shocked at the ice cream prices how much it jumps up from 2 to 3 by two quid yet one scoop is only the price of what ever it' is compared to three scoops doesn't make sense. Com'on guys think about the menu a bit more and you have spelling mistakes in your menu that the print people should have picked up on lol . Bit the burgers and fro yo amazing also if you have no pittas left or buns left please contact the person don't just send a burger with no bun so bad any issues contact people let them decide what to do But we'll worth ordering from this restaurant absolbloodylutley just a tad expensive for what you get and delivery charge is a fiver it doesn't cost that much in a taxi big up though as the burgers are well worth it I thoroughly enjoyed mine it's been a very long time since I said that from a restaurant don't change them just add more combos like to see a haiwan burger and one with cheese and mushrooms and the pickles and the tangy sweet sauce that when I looked at it I thought it would be too spicey was amazing too just a touch of heat but not hot or spices more like a bit of pepper it jelled well with the sweetness and pickles and cheese and the burger wasn't out facing which I do find a put off it was just right customer care was spot on too ty guys we shall be back my new favourite burger

I was overwhelmed with the variety of flavors offered by the kind owner himself. From Oreo, Ferraro Roche to coffee, bubblegum, salted caramel and fruity flavors, I loved them all, my favorite scoop, was that of Oreo & coffee, even though the most popular one was Ferraro Roche! They had a cozy sitting space too, just in case it started raining or snowing outside ;) Overall, for ice cream or Gelato lovers, I’d definitely recommend this place for the yummy flavors and quick service, on the go, and of course the owner, Sol, is really sweet too :)

Deserts, Not bad at all. The place looked a bit rough around the edges. Needs some TLC and a good tidy up. However, the deserts were nice, no complaints about the the sweet treats. The staff were quick with their service and items were presented nicely. Check it out.

We just tried their ice cream, and it’s honestly the best I’ve ever had. The honeycomb flavor is absolutely to die for. My only regret is discovering this amazing spot on our last day in Scarborough. The staff were all so friendly too. I can’t recommend this place enough.

My Wife and I were walking down to the beach recently when we stumbled on this place and we are very glad we did! We just got a cone and a hot chocolate that time but both were excellent. We came back yesterday as it was a lovely day and we had an Affogato al Caffe and a sundae. The Gelato here is incredible with a good range (about 16 flavours) and you get a good sized portion with each scoop. The staff/owners are very helpful and friendly and the premises is very nice. Defintely a place people should visit if in Scarborough

We stumbled across this cafe on our way into town, and seeing the buzz inside, we stopped for a drink. The welcome was warm, friendly and full of life. We just had a drink but if they had done food, we would have definitely stayed. Both the Italian wine and beer were excellent- a real cut above - and the gelato fridge looked amazing. We will be back

Beautiful gelato, all sorts of tasty flavours. Good quality coffee. All for a great deal less money than nearby harbour bar! £15 for 2 big glasses with a total of 6 scoops of amazing ice cream, and an americano. Worth every penny.

This place was an amazing little cafe for our holiday in Whitby! The staff were lovely and made us want to come back multiple times (which we did). They are very generous with the ice cream scoops and all seem like they really enjoy working there. An overall great place to go for a coffee with an amazing view of the sea.

My favourite place on West Cliff. Too many seaside places cost the earth but this pace is great value, generous portions, with friendly service. Sit outside and take in the great view.

I just love it - it's a real local landmark. I often go for a coffee with my mum and we just sit and watch the sea. Service is kind and efficient, cappuccino is delicious, also great ice cream from Beacon Farm, and generally just lovely spot with the best coastal view.

Googled highest reviewed ice cream with lemon on top and this place did not disappoint. Worth every penny and delicious sorbet. Would come back every day to buy one if I loved here.

This little cafe was really close to our holiday let. We tried it on our first night and went every day afterwards! Lovely coffee, hot chocolate, ice cream and beautiful views. Staff were very warm and friendly too.

Nice spot in the centre of Richmond for a hot drink and a quick bite to eat. The food was nice but I was expecting a full sandwich not half of one with the soup for the price charged. They add a chocolate truffle on the side of your hot drink for free which is a a nice touch.

Good coffee but that’s it. There’s rarely space, and the food is bang-average and really expensive for what it is. They charged £2 for an extra sausage, which came out as tiny and not that great quite frankly (photo attached). I get that it was ‘locally sourced’ but this was not worth it.

I just called in for a coffee after a quick visit to the Green Howard's museum at Richmond, more or less next door. The young lady who served me was very pleasant and brought my drink to my chosen table. I also purchased a couple of pots of jam later. Great service thanks, the coffee was good, as well, including the chocolate truffle!

Lovely little cafe, worth a visit scone and coffee was enough for me scone was beautiful with strawberry jam. Oh they have a huge selection of chocolates in the shop so why not treat yourselves when you visit.

The ice cream was delicious then decided to order a slice of chocolate biscoff cake to go, when i got home i found the cake smashed in pieces, which was not what we were expecting to find, needless to say the cake was a little dry biscoff butter cream didn’t taste of biscoff.

Never had a bad coffee drink here. However the new to-go cup (contraption) is horrible. Awkward to hold and drink out of. Absolute disaster to place and take out of car cup holder. Was told for environmental reasons they switched. Not good.

Stopped for a pit stop at Richmond and asked a local if she could recommend a local coffee shop. Mocha didn’t disappoint. Had a hot chocolate and the choice is great. Lovely place xx

A fabulous place for gluten free cakes. 3 choices and not a brownie in sight. Those who are gluten intolerant will know what I mean. Great coffee. Thoroughly recommend.

A lovely little cafè at Redcar, not a great deal of places to go for lunch there anymore but luckily found Cacao whilst having a mooch about. Small but cozy and comfortable surroundings. The cakes looked amazing and were massive but we didn't have room after our lunch. Good choice of menu including some Brazilian options, all reasonably priced, would absolutely go back....if only to try some of the cakes that were on offer 🤤

The menu is really vegan friendly and the owner ‘Hamiliton’ is lovely, as the waitresses. The food tasted fantastic and we had … Feijoada £9.90. A trad Brazilian black bean dish with vegan smoked sausage, served with boiled rice, farofa (looks like breadcrumbs but is made from cassava (yuka)) and collared greens. My word, what a plateful… what a delight. The family recipe is the best I’ve had. Caldo de Feijao £5.20. A trad Brazilian creamy bean soup with vegan sausage served with oregano olive oil croutons. The beans came from ‘Hamilton’s’ home town in Brazil and it really was creamy, thick and very filling. Vegan Hot Dog - Brazilian Style. £5.30. A hot dog which tasted really really good. The vegan mayo with their homemade sauce and mustard perfectly rounded it off. It’s described as Brazilian but the potato sticks made it more American?! Perhaps a Brazilian staple like potato salad or a side salad? Vegan cheesy chips £3.90. Not the usual poor quality vegan cheese, but nice runny cheese which had melted properly - guilty sin 😉 Would I go back? Yes … like this week Would I recommend. Yes. #Veganuary

Stopped in here for a cone while walking around Helmsley on a Sunday afternoon and it was lovely. Lots of flavors, cute little sitting area, and friendly staff. Even witnessed a kid’s unfortunate mishap dropping his ice cream on the floor and the staff got him a new one right away, haha. My group loved the rhubarb crumble which we were told sells out quickly, and also enjoyed the salted caramel popcorn. I had the strawberry and vanilla flavors which were both delicious, especially the strawberry. Great little spot we’ll visit again next time we’re in town!

Cafe offering locally-made ice cream. There was a long list of flavours but less than half of them were available. I had a single scoop of chocolate, which was nice, but it was more like a double. Portions are too large imho - reduce the cost and the portion size!

Many delicious crepes were here! with reasonable price. I ordered 2 sweet crepes, First was Meringue-strawberry-hand whipped cream with homemade strawberry sorbet and another was Nutella-banananananana 😋 The crepe dough itseft was perfectly soft and thin. The combinations of strawberries/meringue/sauce/ice cream were really good taste, not too sweet 🍓🍓🍓 as well as Nutella-banananana🍌🍌🍌🍫🍫🍫. I love this hand-whipped cream so much. It was super soft and little sweet.

I was welcomed as I went into this stylish café and the young guy serving me made a superb flat white and pointed out that my treat of a blueberry muffin had some nuts in the recipe just in case I had allergy concerns. Love it in here mainly for the cakes (food is good too) but if i am being honest i am all about the cakes. The standard of baked goods and flavours is better than anywhere else locally or even in Leeds. Highly recommend it (although i might regret it if it becomes too popular) less cake for me!

Hard to find. Need to go up alley next to salvation army building. But worth finding! Hoped for a full English breakfast, but owner said no gas so I had a bacon and sausage sesame bagel. Absolutely lovely. Also his own roast coffee latte. Also highly recommended. Amazing cakes (pastries, sorry!) on display. Amazing selection of milkshakes too. Very friendly. Popped in for a coffee today, seen the pistachio and white chocolate cookies and just had to try one. Coffee was perfect and the cookie was amazing. I didn't try the ice cream but the amount of people queuing for one and walking out with one of the many varieties I am betting the ice cream is also delicious.

Had lunch here whilst working in the office at Beverley. This is a lovely cafe with some decent outdoor seating. The menu is great and the food lovely. Parking you would need to use nearby public car parks and walk here. Based on my visit I would totally recommend.

Ice cream can be enjoyed any time of the year! On Christmas Eve, I got a tub of Baileys Cheesecake gelato…how festive! And yes- it did taste of Baileys!

Lovely little cafe serving nice food, unfortunately, let down by the service, asked for hot water for the tea, which was slammed on the table. If using the toilet, be careful of the loose toilet seat, and the toilet could also do with a good clean. The food was good and deserved a 5*

We needed some cupcakes for our wedding party, and Cupcakes 2 Love was an excellent price for the quantity we needed. We were so pleased with the quality. The cupcake sponge was delicious, and they were beautifully finished with the icing colours we had selected. They were so easy to order and collect. We would be happy to order cupcakes from here again in the future.

Themed Afternoon Tea - OMG the best ever! Stumbled upon this place after googling themed afternoon teas in the North Yorkshire region. I initially ordered a gift card for my nana's birthday and the contact from start to finish was professional and prompt. They were extremely accommodating and they will do literally any theme you desire. So I chose Mary Poppins and we were not disappointed! They even played a song from the film as they brought the tea out to us. The tables were beautifully decorated to suit the theme. The food was lovely, cannot complain and the cakes were fab! We took 4x boxes home with us as there was so much. I didn't get the host's name but she was amazing from start to finish, very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. I cannot wait to come back and by far my most favourite place for afternoon tea in the country!

Amazing place, staff are great and custome service is super. Service 2nd to none called and left message they called me back and they were so friendly and helpful on the phone . Booked as a surprise for daughters 30th birthday for beauty and beast themed afternoon tea and they also included blue ribbons on chair as she is expecting a baby boy. That was above and beyond service. Even gave use boxes and paper bags to fetch home things we did not eat. Will be going back and will highly recommend to all family and friends . Finally got a table these guys are so popular. Fantastic classic afternoon tea with beautifully crafted cakes, scones and sandwiches. Too much for me took a doggy bag home. Went to this cafe Sunday morning (July 2025) I ordered 2 tea cakes, drinks and a child’s sausage and chips, the girl on the till said I couldn’t order the child’s meal as my daughter is over 12, I said my daughter has some health issues and other issues and can’t always eat a large meal and that she has taken 15/20 mins to decide on this meal, she said she had to check with the manager - a lady appeared from the kitchen and said “you can’t order that meal as it’s only for children under 12” quite direct and certainly not friendly, I said we’d leave it and left the cafe - I don’t understand why you can’t purchase a child’s meal - if you’re not very hungry/ elderly or still a child but over 12 ? Having told the first assistant, that my child has health issues, I’m disappointed that once again children with issues are excluded from enjoying a light brunch because they’re not 12 - unfriendly staff

I stopped in here with my wife and kids after visiting Richmond Castle, cannot recommend this place enough. I had a toffee sponge which was amazing but honestly there was about 20 different things I wanted to try. The staff were lovely and friendly and the prices are more than reasonable especially given the quality of what we had. We will definitely be visiting again if we find ourselves in Richmond.

Love the made in house delicious cakes and tray bakes from Edwina's cakes... owner's lovely, and some of my favourites have been a loaded with fruit Simnel cake (Easter only), date slice, and the coconut biscuits are divine, the coffee is great too. Cute little place, with consistently good produce the many times I've been in. Well worth a visit.

Ignore the review below from the DOG OWNER!!! This is a great cafe, lovely food, coffee was delicious. NO Dogs 🐶✅ NO Music🎶✅ The atmosphere was created by customers and staff chatting. Highly recommend. If you have a dog (as in the review below) give us customers that don’t like dogs an establishment to eat in which doesn’t allow them, you can go elsewhere! Only downside is, it’s 250 miles from where we live.

What a very polite and professional young lady they now have working there. Very welcoming and great service, living up to the always high standards of Edwina and Claire. Custard slice, mini sponge cake and hot chocolate just hit the spot.

Tried all the cafes in Richmond, drummer boy ok but portion size to much, Edwinas tops all for cakes by a mile but needs seating re thought out as a few simple tables and chairs would give 6 stars.

Popped in recently on the way from the Market Square to The Station, as it was quiet. Be prepared, you will be spoilt for choice! Eventually, we opted for a mint slice and a peanut butter slice. Both were lush and we sat on a comfy sofa by the window as we devoured them. Lovely experience, will visit again.

Customer service and coffee was great. However, furniture not clean, sticky and crumbs everywhere. Toilet in the other hand definitely should be out of order. One tap no working, toilet seat damaged and not cleaned most probably for a month. Not a pleasant experience visiting Del Gelato.

Finally after few visits decided to give my opinion and got mixed feelings as deserts taste great and staff try to make them look attractive and tasty. But this is where good things end service made me awkward and wife was looking at me still waiting for her order wile mine was delivered. With so many staff not able to deliver order to family of 5 . Drinks are the good side as they were delicious. Plenty of spaces to seat and decor is welcoming. For deserts is one of very few places in city . With few offs would still recommend place to visit and taste the lovely looking deserts

I went in late last night with my mum and girlfriend and despite ordering a lot the two girlies on front were super kind and patient!!! despite the new system they were using messing up they handled it with such grace and professionalism!! I could tell the lady with the pretty leaf necklace was tired but despite that she still provided great service!! both of them deserve more recognition!! will definitely return for more sweet treats ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ!!!

It was really busy when we went here today but the staff were very lovely and turned a table for two into a table for three. Much to the relief of my grandson as he had been promised a visit for ice cream after being unwell. Great ice cream as always, great coffee and the best homemade chips I've had for years! Cant wait to go back! Would highly recommend! If I had one criticism it would be that it should be double the size. It's just Fabulous!

Lovely and cosy ice cream parlour in Wath. They make over 50 varieties of ice cream but not all 50 available to purchase on a cone but available on a pre packed tub. Around 18 varieties from the counter. It has tables inside to eat with a nice pleasant decor. You can choose a cone or tub and 1, 2 or 3 scoops of ice cream with sprinkles as an add on. Currently they only take cash payments but advised they will take cards soon. I would recommend for a nice family treat.

I’m italian and when I found out about this place, I wanted to give it a try even if I thought the food would have been just a poor imitation of the italian food. Well, I’m happy to say that I was wrong! The pizza tastes exactly like the one back home, the dough is so good that I would even eat it with no toppings on it!! The ice cream is great too!! Happy that I have found this little gem, also very close to where I live! 💚🤍❤️

We discovered this place well before Covid. A family business it's always made fantastic icecream and had expanded to serve quality breakfasts and light meals. Sadly Covid killed that off but the business has survived and reinvented its self. Still doing fantastic icecream, cakes and coffee, now with the addition of tea time/evening servings of true Italian style pizza. Well worth the journey 😋

Great little local treasure. Traditional style sweet shop and homemade gelato style ice cream. Make sure you try the latter. Cafe also attached for coffee, sandwiches etc and this must be good as it is always full of cyclists for their refuel stop.

Always been a little nostalgic treat. Went today 3/5/25 and the staff were rude and short tempered with everyone. Made for a horrible experience. Had taken a friend there as a treat. Felt I needed to apologise for taking them to hell. You might have been busy but you’ve opted for a public facing job. Do better. Don’t ruin everyone else’s day.

Lovely ice cream, reasonably priced. Good selection of pick and mix, however nearly everything is priced individually and not by the 100g like nearly everywhere else I've been. As a result the individual items can be particularly expensive. Two medium ice creams, and the sweets pictured came to £4.33. Worth going for the ice cream and a walk opposite the road along side the river/small waterfall.

Really lovely shop but they always seem to be horrendously short-staffed. It puts a lot of pressure on the staff when they are so busy, they're clearly trying their best, and some of the customers are just plain rude to them.

EXTREMELY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not even worth the 1 star. I asked if I could make my own pick n mix which is an option within the shop however, the elderly woman rudely said ‘no, we’re too busy you can have an already made one or nothing’. I was speechless and taken back by the way she had spoken to me! I had also waited patiently in the queue like the other people were behind me! Will not be returning.

Cosy & intimate, lovely place for a cuppa & sweet treat. Brunch also available, we only stopped for a hot brew & cake. Friendly staff. Vegan options available. The cutest little place up in Crookesmoor, serving delicious homemade food! This cafe is quite small, so take into consideration there might be a queue for a table. However, on top of their standard menu, they have the best selection of homemade cakes and deserts - which can vary day to day!

One of the best cappuccinos I've had in Sheffield, lovely cakes. The café has a nice relaxing atmosphere, and the staff is incredibly friendly.

The space is very small, so nearly always packed and almost impossible to negotiate with a wheelchair. Quality of the food is very good, but the prices seem a little too high. Service is friendly but definitely unhurried. Decor is overly twee and artsy, with a ceiling covered in fairy lights, streamers of paper animals on the walls and an purposely mismatched assortment of floral crockery.

Lovely space upstairs for groups. We came with 6 and had a nice table together. We ordered full english. $9.50😳 The food was very good except the breakfast came with scrambled eggs not fried, and the hash browns were slightly underdone. Hash browns must be crispy, right? I ordered two crumpets with fried egg and cheese which wasn’t on the menu and they were very accommodating. Very friendly. Very clean.

With a large range of delectable treats A Month of Sundaes is the perfect place to fulfill that yearning for ice-cream and it is also dog friendly too so your loved pooch can take advantage of a quick rest and the free doggy treats! I took the plunge and ordered a Knickerbocker glory, it certainly didn't disappoint!

The wife and I had lunch here after viewing a house. Very good chocolatiers that also do food in their cafe. I had the chicken and chorizo with brown toast which was excellent; the biscotti milkshake was amazing!! Based on my experience I would certainly recommend a visit whether you’re looking for some lunch or a gift for someone this establishment has it covered!

I visited the White Rabbit for dessert and ordered a hot chocolate and the milk chocolate dipper with strawberries (£6), as the selection of cakes at the counter was quite limited. The fondue only came with 6 strawberries so there was a little chocolate left over at the end, which I didn't really mind as I ate it with a spoon. The chocolate seemed to be of good quality and the hot chocolate was also nice.

This was my second visit to the White Rabbit. The first involved just a visit to the shop to buy a birthday cake. There is a good choice and range of prices. You naturally pay extra for the excellent chocolate incorporated into the cake but great if you want something a bit special and different. The chocolates on sale looked equally tempting and I noticed that the smallish café attached was full of customers. I liked the comfortable, quirky, themed décor and decided to visit. We did so the following week. There is a good range of coffees with hot milk available if required in small and large sizes. The prices are very reasonable. Hot chocolate is obviously on sale. It comes in milk, white, dark caramel, orange or strawberry flavours. You can even make your own with a hot choc stick and there are rich and intense adult hot chocolates and milder ones for kids. A whole range of treats are available including Choc Afternoon Tea, Choc Three Ways, Chocolates on the Side of freshly baked cakes. I can recommend the brownies that come in a range of flavours. Service is good and the café is comfortable if a little tight. There are clean and fresh toilet facilities available but at some distance. Be aware that you must trek upstairs. The White Rabbit is well worth a visit. More recently we revisited with a view to trying the hot chocolate and were delighted. You can buy cups in three sizes from “kids” at £2 to “large” at £3.15. We went for the “medium” which was big enough and chose the traditional chocolate although there is a good choice of flavours to be had. You can buy “extras” such as marshmallows, cream, chocolate curls or the “works” for 95 pence. If this is insufficient there are three speciality hot chocolates at £3.95. The hot chocolate was delicious and looked so tempting. It was drizzling and dull outside but the hot chocolate made us feel warm and satisfied. It was certainly tasty and comforting. I can well imagine how superb it would be in the middle of winter. We will be back. The White Rabbit doesn’t miss a trick…

Chocolate galore. Great staff. Gets very busy so recommend booking a table. Love visiting here. Shop inside. Savoury options including toasties with a chocolate vinaigrette. Hot chocolates, milkshakes and chocolate fondues. Very very tasty. Short walk from tesco car park if you want free parking for up to 3 hours.

They offer many types of choccolate, i had a latte on this occasion it came with a couple of choccolate buttons, i really enjoyed it!

Used to love this place but sadly two things have let it down recently, firstly the hot chocolates used to be amazing but last time just not great at all and felt really on the spot when I asked the staff about this who seemed offended at my question, and secondly chocolate range and availability is really poor. their rosemary caramel sea salt is phenomenal and thankfully still available but struggling with what used to be a five star local place I used to be proud to support

Delicious coffee with complimentary dark chocolate buttons, the friendly and efficient waitress served us a carafe of cold water to refresh us and clean our palate before we had our coffees. Set in a quiet little back street and with outside and interior seating, this was a lovely spot to just sit and relax. They have a resident chocolatier, their savoury menu looked tasty and we enjoyed the complimentary chocolate buttons so much we bought a bag to take away with us.

We have visited here the last 3 times we have been in the area, not only are the donuts absolutely delicious your staff are an absolute credit to your business, one young lady who's only worked for you a matter of Months who's from Brid has served us twice and her customer service has been exceptional. And today a young man who has worked for you for around a year was just the same, so friendly and welcoming! To have staff who clearly care about your business just as much as you do is a rarity! Exceptional donuts and service!!!!

Best donuts in York! This a repeat favourite for us and especially our boys. Owner is always interested to talk about York and fried dough (make loukamades!). We like the bigger crispy donuts, so keep those on the menu.

It's a travesty that this place doesn't have more reviews, but I'm happy they are five stars. The donuts are unbelievably delicious to the extent our American friend said she'd never had better. While they were getting ready, the lady in the truck was exceptionally fun to talk to and it was sad to have to say goodbye. These donuts are cheap and fantastic - if you're in York, BUY THEM!

Been here a few times for the bakery and they're amazing but first time for brunch and we were blown away. Everything was amazing. The spicy hollandaise was delicious. Would 100% recommend

We pre-ordered the afternoon tea on a weekday. The food was delicious and the hot choc was very tasty (I suspect dark chocolate melted in to milk). The afternoon tea is a great treat and the staff were very attentive and accommodating.

We love this place!! One of our regular spots. Perfect coffee and cake and Brunch. So much to choose from. Vegan friendly The Afternoon Teas look incredible! We even got them to make our wedding cake.

We got the jubilee afternoon tea for us and my brother in law to take home. It was amazing the food always is (big fan of the Turkish eggs or mushrooms on toast if on) the details in the afternoon tea and the care taken with the cakes as always was fantastic. It’s only a few minutes drive from Xscape and you can barely believe it’s hidden away on the street amongst all the houses but it is and it’s well worth a trip out!

Made a quick dash to Vanilli's yesterday, just in time before closing time. We were a group of nine! One of the best ice creams we have ever tasted. The Ricotta & Fig was heavenly, so much so that our daughter had to have another scoop. The owner, Alex is super friendly and explained the effort and hard work that goes into running his lovely eatery. For those visiting Harrogate, this is a must stop to indulge in the different flavours of ice creams available!

One of the best ice creams to have here in Harrogate. I am sure I ll come back many times more, even bring family & friends. I tried 4 flavors White chocolate, Salted Caramel, Creme Brulee and Honey Coomb White chocolate and creme brulee were the best for me then salted caramel. Honey coomb needed more flavor. The cone itself was superior. Wished there was a cone dipped with milk chocolate not dark. Overall experience was outstanding. A big Thank you for the owners effort. Wish them best of luck. Next time will try more flavors.

A great ice cream parlour nestled in the centre of Harrogate. The ice cream is tastes great, and they have a range of flavours. We get takeaway ice cream so we can make sundaes at home.

Absolutely delicious ice-cream. Proper gelato ice-cream. My favourite is the strawberry one. My wife and sister and brother and friends went inside to order whilst I was in the car. We all loved the ice creams. They said ths owner is very friendly. Definitely coming back for more. 😁

By far the best ice cream in Harrogate - in fact, the incredible flavours and smooth consistency remind me so much of the gelato I ate on holiday in Italy! The selection often changes, so there's always a new flavour to try, the portions are generous, and the gent behind the counter is really personable, we love popping into this hidden gem

We first visited vanillis on a food tour we did around Harrogate. We got to sample different flavours of gelato and then got our own small tub to take away. There’s so many flavours to choose from. The flavours of the ones we sampled were far superior to any other gelato we’ve had.

Vanillis is without doubt the most delicious ice cream I have ever tasted. Keep doing what you’re doing, Alex. I’ll miss being around the corner and just being able to pop in to have my usual vanillis and triple Belgian chocolate.

We had a brilliant experience – Gina particularly was fantastic! So helpful and incredibly responsive throughout. We ordered 12 boxes (vegan and non-vegan) for a team building event and everything was handled perfectly. Their efforts really added to the occasion and made everyone very happy – very few of our chocolates made it past our journeys home! Would definitely use again and highly recommend! We enjoyed Cocoa's fabulous liquid (hot) chocolate but with an Easter twist containing mini chocolate eggs and sprinkles. Kat is lovely, the perfect host as she's so friendly. Good to see you again Kat.

This is a great shop for summer ice creams and special occasion chocs. I kind of take it for granted that it'll always be there when I need it. Then I look at the ever changing face of Ecclesall Road and realise that I'm an idiot blithely picking up nice but inferior chocolate with my groceries. I'm going to make Cocoa Wonderland my all occasion chocolate shop. It might result in fewer chocs for me but from now on my chocolate budget is going to this lovely shop and the smiley people who serve me.

I recently enjoyed the most amazing hot chocolate. It was rich and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with a deep cocoa flavour. The presentation was beautiful, served in a teacup. You can have the option of having hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. I'd honestly drink one of these hot chocolates every day. If you love hot chocolate or need a comforting drink, this is the one to try.

A truly lovley traditional chocolate shop , and well worth a visit. We bought some mixed boxes of chocolates from the counter as gifts , and treated ourselves to a chocolate ice cream lolly for a walk round the Botanical Gardens.

A wonderfully cosy and put together chocolate shop and tearoom. The staff are friendly and considerate, with a delightfully cheerful attitude. A wonderful location for a date or just for a quiet and charming afternoon. I cannot recommend Cocoa Wonderland enough and will certainly be visiting them again!

Had a late lunch at the Cakery. It was absolutely worth the drive to get here. The best coffee I’ve had in a long time. The BLT baguette was delicious and the snickers tiffin was out of this world. Highly recommend recommended. Plus they have the bike shop/repair shop & bike hire.

We had a fantastic time at the Dales bike centre. The setting is beautiful, and the staff are outgoing and accommodating, very willing to help with questions about the area and routes. The food was amazing, and the community at the centre was so inviting. Great group of people! Thanks for the amazing stay and home base for our ride!

This place is highly regarded by local locals for the quality of the food and it's service and is a victim of it's own success. The carpark and cafe both get quite full, although visitors are lured outside to take in the views in better weather which easys things a bit. The mountains of homemade cakes are amazing and all to tempting The light meals using local products are excellent value when you take quality into account. Despite being busy the service is excellent due to the hard work of the staff.

What an amazing cafe and coffee shop this is ! With the super vistas in all directions, the ample car parking and the seating both outside and inside - it’s great. The paninis are worth choosing on the menu. They’re generously filled with scrumptious ingredients. This place is definitely worth stopping at , when you’re in the Dales. 100% 5-stars

A lovely cafe with really delicious food! Huge selection of cakes - a few vegan ones too! I had a vegan breakfast panini of vegan cheese, sausage, and bean on the softest, nicest, ciabatta bread! Lovely setting too! Very much recommend

Fantastic bunkhouse, just the job for a mountain biking weekend with mates - super well equipped and comfortable, breakfast included, nothing too much trouble for the owners! Absolutely dreamy weekend exploring the insane riding around. Thanks guys!

One of our favourite cafes to call into when we’re having a drive up swaledale. Always lots of cakes to choose from on the counter, plus an excellent hot food menu, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend!
