Awful. Got a knickerbocker glory ice cream. Came in a tub as though like a Chinese take away. Not nuts, no favor, no biscuit. Understand under no ownership since last April. What a shame.

I was craving some ice cream 🍦 and we came to this place that was beyond perfect! They don’t just sell happiness in a scoop, their customer satisfaction is important to them; I wanted mango for takeaway and they were short of it, so the staff made sure I got a half a scoop and mixed it with another flavor. I was on 8 March. That time wasn't so good and I add 3 stars. Today I recharge this place for 4 stars. I know this place because before it was my agency for my flat lol It's not much space in side but it's very nice in decor. Tables and sitting place is good, but could be more cozy. Working people are very nice, if is busy is more people, which is good. Menu is bigger now with lots of different deserts and also small menu for breakfast, which is good. My order on 8 March was toasted croissant with ham and cheese was best ever. We also had ice cream deserts,it was looks lovely and really a lot to eat, but I didn't really like it because I didn't know it was something in desert which I did like it, my wrong, that one with banana was better desert. On 02.04 i was with my family for deserts and was really amazing good as they looks, yes this time I had banana with chocolate :) Today I am again and I have just toasted croissant which is of course good and little lovely drink. I hope I will back here again :)

A really good place to get waffles and gelato (as the name suggests). We ordered Affogato; which was really good. Next up was create your own combo waffle and it was one the best waffles I've had. Chicken Panini was okay as it lacked flavour and was quite bland. Overall, nice place to hang out once in a while.

A great local ice cream parlour. They usually have 2-4 vegan/dairy free options - sorbets and creamy ones. The prices are very reasonable as well and all ice cream is made on premises. Dine-in open until 9:30pm.

Lovely ice cream and a large selection, along with other goodies such as waffles etc. Would love to try a cold stone creation but was just a quick visit while in the city. I did think £7.50 for 3 scoops of ice cream is a bit on the expensive side however.

I had an average experience at Baskin Robbins. Honestly, it feels like you are paying more for the name now than the actual quality of the ice cream. Yes, the servings are generous, which is fair enough, but the ice cream itself just did not impress me. It had an icy texture, like it had been refrozen, and the flavours were bland. I have made better ice cream at home using my Ninja Creami. To be fair, this might not be an issue with the original brand itself, but rather the specific store serving and storing the ice cream. They would be responsible for keeping it at the right quality and temperature, and I don’t think that was happening here. I just don’t see the hype anymore. Like many American themed food places that pop up around the UK, it seems to be more of a trend that eventually drops off in quality.

By far the best selection and flavours in Aberdeen. Unlike most other ice cream sellers where you will struggle to know what you are eating, Baskin Robbins offers a huge selection of ice cream packed with flavour. My favourite by far is rocky road but loved their cheeky monkey and Black Forest gateau. Really big scoops too and range of toppings to choose from. Whether you go for a cone or a tub you won’t be disappointed. Just two minutes away is Rubislaw Terrace Gardens which is a perfect place to sit and enjoy your frozen treat ;)

I had a really disappointing experience at this Baskin Robbins. When I went to order, one of the staff members, Morgan, saw me and immediately turned away, whispering to her colleagues “I don’t want to serve him” and went to call someone else to assist. I felt humiliated and extremely uncomfortable. This kind of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior is unacceptable, and it completely ruined the visit.

Consistently good and the service has always been amazing. Even when crowded they smile and serve you what you want. Excellent.

Great ice cream shop on the main street opposite the bakers and the church, which has a low wall and handy benches to sit on when eating your ice cream. Just watch out for the gulls! Make sure you head down to the Quay side, it is a very lovely location.

Never miss this place if you are in Portsoy.Best icecreams and sorbet bowls. Tried 3 scoops bowl of lotus biscoff, strawberry and cookies andcream. And a sorbet bowl with nuts and coconut bits and banana and raspberry with hot milk chocolates sauce. If sugar wasn't that diabetic I could eat this everyday 😍

Very busy. Queues likely to be long. The options and quality are amazing. It’s worth the wait, you’re not rushed. The area around is amazing too, close to a park so the kids can enjoy after all that ice cream! There is also plenty of free parking around the area.

It was such a relief to enjoy a milkshake after a game of cricket on a super sunny day. They serve some tasty ice cream and milkshakes. I had a Mars bar milkshake and it was good. You can also get some good handmade biscuits from this ice cream Parlour. Parking can be a bit difficult during busy days.

Visited this ice cream parlour while on holiday in the area. Shop was nice and clean , staff were friendly and ice cream was nice. The only let down was the staff member went from serving on the till straight to handling the flakes for our cone. No Tongs , no gloves and no handwashing hence the 3 stars.

I finally had the chance to visit the Long Dog Café, a place I’ve been eager to try for ages, all thanks to their renowned freak shakes. The experience was fantastic! It’s an incredibly charming café, delightfully dog-friendly, which I absolutely loved. I indulged in a delicious toastie and the unicorn freak shake—both served in hefty portions that truly offered excellent value for money. Overall, it was a wonderful visit, and I highly recommend this spot!

Visites with family according to reviews as a small dog owner it should be a fantastic place. Apart from we were not sure if there is a table service so we had to order at the till. Lady had a friendly manner. Helpfull and informative. The place is small but well seperated for like 5 small grp. Toilet was not sure if we can use it or its just a stockplace. The haloumi burger was amazing. Fresh rocket sweet and hot sauce plenty seeds and good flavour. Pancake is big 1 enough for 2 kids. I can see the dog friendly side apart from an empty water plate. Maybe we went too early amd the staff was too busy with deliveroo orders

I've been searching for freak shakes in Aberdeen and found this small but cute cafe!! Because it was so small there weren't any seats left for us and so we had to take away. The staff were super nice and friendly. They said they could give our freak shakes in take away cups and will make sure it's instaworthy. Lovely people! I couldn't imagine how it would look like as a take away. I was blown away by how cute they were! They were a masterpiece. Not only did they look good, they taste amazing! We ordered the matcha honey, aero mint, and choco fudge. We also ordered a kinder hot chocolate. All were amazing! Of course they were super sweet but that's what you'd expect from ordering a freak shake. Will definitely go back. Hopefully there will be seats and this time, I'll have it in a mug!

The best ice cream in Aberdeen! Nothing more is needed, but I'll elaborate for those who want more info. Hidden in the courtyard of the building across the Marischal Square, Mackie's is a place with the best ice cream you can find in Aberdeen. 19.2 miles from the farm allows the ice cream to be fresh all the time. There are so many flavours available - almost anything you can think of, they have it. The hot chocolate on top (homemade) was amazing, pure delight. The staff is approachable, helpful and fast (considering there's almost always someone in the queue - there hasn't been a time that there was no line when I went there). It's honestly a place I was taken and it's a place where I would take my friends, so I highly recommend it.

You should be really strong to overcome such a portion of dessert alone 😌. So big and delicious. Lovely cafe/ Ice cream parlour hidden away in Aberdeen Although Mackie's is all about it's dairy cows and milk they had a good choice of dairy free sorbet and ice cream .I had to try the irn bru sorbet .was delicious

Loved visiting this spot. A lot of options so didn’t know what to get at first. Ended up getting the 4 seasons waffle. Was delicious! One tip? There was Chocolate Sauce on the four parts of the waffle, which kinda overpowered all the other flavours. I’d say to restrict the sauce to one or two parts so the variety in the toppings comes through in other parts with the other flavors. Other than that, this was a delicious experience. I’d def be back…

A great ice cream parlour with all the flavours of Mackie's. The staff were nice and there wasn't a long wait. There is seating outside with blankets which is great. I would recommend the traditional ice cream with hot milk chocolate sauce. A single scoop is £3.5. I would recommend you stop by, 5 stars from me.

My friend and I dropped in on Bev this morning. What a lovely person, the full breakfast was hot, tasty and made with love and care. Great value for money and generous portions. Would we go back, definitely we've heard legends of the Strawberry tart that need further investigation we feel.

Really enjoyed breakfast at Bev's - had a super full cooked breakfast and my partner enjoyed Alan's amazing gluten free butteries with other GF options available. The coffee is super as well and really a very pleasant experience overall.

Wow this was fantastic. We had breakfast and most of the things incl sausages could be done gluten free as the chef is gf. He very kindly also supplied gf butteries/rowies even though they are usually advance order mail order only. They have gf bread for lunches, and likewise evening meals can mostly be gf. Such friendly staff and great atmosphere.

After searching for a new place to try afternoon tea we came across Bev’s on social media. After looking through all of the amazing photos we thought we must give it a try! Definitely the best afternoon tea we have ever been to. We were extremely impressed at how fresh & locally produced the food was… highly recommend!

Very poor value for money, received a sandwich, small piece of sausage roll and a tiny piece of brownie with some strawberries for £28. Called it an afternoon tea. Would not go back, daylight robbery.

What a brilliant little cafe we discovered this place on social media and when we visited the city it wad on the top of our list to visit, and we weren't disappointed. We had our three dogs with us and were made to feel so welcome. The food was amazing. Best BLT I've had in ages and the old school cake they serve was heaven in a cake slice. The lady that served us was so lovely and friendly. We will be back next time we're in the city.

Small coffe shop off Holborn Street. Unfortunatly my first impression was of a dirty place, the floor was sticky and looked like it hasnt been properly clean for a long time. Not sure if there is a extractor, but I left with my jacket smelling of grease. Costumer service was Ok but nothing special. Food was not what I was expecting, tomato soup was salty.

I'm a little bit in love with this place. The coffee is amazing, a beautifully smooth roast served piping hot every time. The food is fresh, local and delicious. Great variety of beverages and food from artisan hot chocolates to this beautiful ploughman's platter. I'm having great fun making my way through their menu. Next - homemade cheesecake!

We have ordered from Shakes and Cakes several times in the past with no issues however, I was incredibly angry to find my partner had been eating some of their ice cream that appeared to be crunchier than your average scoop of ice cream. Upon further investigation, we found small glass chunks throughout the four scoops we had purchased, of which, my partner had eaten most of by the time we realised glass was in the ice cream. I have attached a photo of a piece of glass I pulled out with my fingers and ran under a tap to ensure we were right. Incredibly dangerous and I can't even fathom how this is possible. Will definitely be reporting to the council/local authority.

I recently visited Shakes and Cakes Spital a dessert lover's dream. Every bite is a burst of flavor, from their wide range of crispy waffles and crepes. The care in presentation is a visual treat, and the cozy ambience. The shakes are also very good overall I had a great experience visiting this cafe and would love to visit again soon and recommend it to my friends.

It apparently opens at midday, but that actually means the staff arrive at midday and they aren't ready to serve at that time. When we arrived just after midday, we were told it was a 15 mins wait. I had my 5 yo son with me so I gave him the choice of waiting or going somewhere else. He chose to wait. It felt like we were an inconvenience for choosing to wait. (My son did get in the way once while she was carrying a heavy load of ice cream, which I apologised for, but in fairness we were in the seating area and were not warned to move away.) At the time of writing we've been waiting 20 mins, no communication, no music or anything in the place, it feels like we're imposing and have barged in before opening. Why weren't we just told that they weren't open instead of advising a wait time?! Not impressed. I've added a photo to prove we were sitting inside and not making the experience up.

I am their loyal customer but the strawberry and banana milk shake I got was runny as water. If you are paying freaking 8.25 for a fruit milkshake at least it should be thick. There is no maintained standard between Great Northern Branch and this one. Not going back at all again. Not recommended at all.

I haven’t been inside but it definitely looks inviting. I just think it’d be nice if they had a table of opening and closing times on the front of the place so people knew if they were passing by and wanted to come back.

The food was okay, not worth the money but okay and I feel like the staff were rushing me and I panicked and ordered things that I did not want. I have social anxiety. The staff seemed rude and weird too. Did not feel comfortable at all.

The desserts here are delicious! The portions are really good and there is loads to choose from. I also went for a smoothie which was super refreshing!

First visit. We were looking for somewhere for desserts and that's what we found. Service was really pleasant. Food was great. Atmosphere was good but the music was a little loud but they changed the song and turned it down when we asked. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Delivery was quick and before the allotted time frame. Some of the best milkshakes we have ever had! I got the banoffee pie milkshake which was delicious, and my partner had the strawberry millions milkshake which was very tasty. Good size (16oz) for a milkshake and loved the jumbo size straws. Will be ordering from here again!

come often my main go to for desert shop in aberdeen. the staff are nice and friendly and the portions are great. sometimes i catch myself not finishing and they kindly pack it to go for me. would recommend biscoff cookie dough and buttercup crep.

Fresh delicious food, massive portions, good value for money and super polite staff. I ordered a kinderbueno Nutella waffle, it was super fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had the sticky toffee pudding, which he thoroughly enjoyed as well. Definitely worth the visit!

The food is great don't get me wrong but their delivery service is incredibly slow. The prices are quite expensive too. They will also list things that are not in stock and call you to ask if you want something else which is better than cancelling your order. Expect average wait times to be around 1 hour and 30 minutes

This is a rare quality in a person and I hope she get the recognition she deserves. Food - so much smaller and the chocolate now tastes of the cheap stuff you buy at shop .

Me and my boyfriend were at the kiosk closest to the entry of Union Square door. It was the end of the day, and the kind man gave us discounted donuts since there were only 3 left. He was very enthusiastic about his job. It made our day.

Went to get my daughter and niece a little snack for our train ride home, ordered 2 doughnuts when my card declined and wouldn’t work, and the lovely young lady behind the counter gave us these for free. Pretty fine coffee, good job i had my cards on me because not accepting cash but it wasn't in a big sign "NO CASH" but the young girl working was sound and the doughnuts looked fine as well, but I don't want diabetes so just had the coffee, decent enough place.

With a train journey to reach home, ordered 2 doughnuts, £2.25each, and asked for a box, willing to payfor box. The assistant proceeded go place doughnhts, into separate bags. Asked again if I could have a box . Informed that you must buy 3 to have a box. I therfore cancelled my purchase. £4.50 for a pensioner's treat, safely carried home, is more than enough. Needless to say, won't try to purchase, in future and indeed shall warn other pensioners, of my experience, today. Greggs will sell you a 10p box, even for one item!

Had an amazing experience there with lovely staff, views and food. The gelato cones top notch and even the smallest one is big enough for one person. The thick shakes were a game changer, especially the fact u can choose any flavor of gelato and get it as a shake. We tried maltesars and honeycomb flavours. The pizza we had was Marinara flavoured and had loadso sauce on it. And also nice spots for pics, so u can grab a meal and eat it in nice spot. Also, can watch coos as well.

I recently went with friends to eat pizza and ice cream. This is one of our favourite places to go for dessert. In my opinion, they have the best ice cream in town. The pizzas were good, although they took too long to be ready and we had to ask for napkins three times because they only gave us three or four in total and there were nine of us eating. As a highlight, the children were able to see the hairy Scottish cows up close and even touch them. A really lovely experience!

We stumbled upon this place on Google maps and we stopped on our way to and from Portsoy at the weekend. The pizza was fantastic. Easy to order (either in person or you can pre order online which we did on our way home), and the gelato was amazing, so many lovely choices. Good seating area outside as well as igloos if the weather isn't on your side. Well worth a stop if you are in the area.

Went to a wedding where Forest Farm had an ice cream truck and had the Biscoff and Malteser ice cream which were both very delicious and creamy - perfect for the sunny day. On the drive back from the wedding, we happened to pass by Forest Farm and had to pop in to try some more. Got the pistachio and berry cheesecake this time, again both very tasty. We sat outside in the domes which was nice too. Wanted to try the pizza (they had a mortadella and pistachio special 😮‍💨) as friends had recommended it but didn’t manage to this time. If we’re up in Aberdeen soon, we’ll definitely be back for pizza and more ice cream! 🍦 from all the flavours we tried, Biscoff was the best, closely followed by Pistachio - but I’d have any of them again

Love this place. We have been going for years when it was just a milk vending place. Now expanded to Gelato and also homemade pizza. Pizza is freshly made to order. Gelato is amazing sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownie and pistachio are firm favourites. Highly recommend.

Best ice cream ever, all organic, loads of flavours, and reasonable prices. Good coffee too, and an innovative approach to reducing waste to zero. Too hot to sit in the pods but plenty of tables outside. Lovely staff too. We'll be back!

I love Bicocchis great range of ice cream and they taste fantastic. Great range of sweets when you fancy a pick a mix. But tonight I was a little bit disappointed. Bought a munchie box. And there really wasn't much in it. For a munchie box you think that there would be a variety of items. Plus this is such a waste of packaging. Why not sell the bags as large pick a mix. Why use a box aswell. Sure the sweets will be good though.

Absolutely amazing, just as good as I remember as a child growing up in Fraserburgh, really lovely staff and they made me the most amazing Biscoff Cake for my daughters 14th Birthday. Cannot praise this place highly enough!

The guy that served us was rude and pretentious with little to no customer service and skimped on portions. When we went to pay he kinda just slapped the card machine in front of us and told us our total. Once I’d paid he just turned his back on us without saying anything else and was just overall pretty bad mannered. The older woman in the shop was lovely though! She was a lot friendlier and a lot more approachable, she actually spoke to us even though she wasn’t serving us!

I purchased 2 individual cheesecakes yesterday for my husbands birthday and they were absolutely beautiful! I don’t know how you get the cheesecake texture soooo light and fluffy but WOW incredible. Visited the shop for the first time as I have purchased from curated in Bon accord and the van at the beach before but so happy to see your business growing as you truly have something special and unique here. The flavours we went for were pistachio and Daim bar. The flavours are so perfect it’s unbelievable. Everyone - Get yourselves to Little Molly’s Cheesecake ASAP!

Incredible! This is the single most wonderful ice cream parlour in the North East. The ice cream is amazing, the options are brilliant, the toppings available are superb. Just brilliant.

It's alright, good ice cream no fault in that. Good staff as well but the portions are very small for the price. Prices went up and you get less ice cream? Not very good. Went there earlier today and 2 people got served when I was meant to be.

Walked further along than the rest of the family did, to find Aunty Betty’s ice cream shop, glad we did! Huge range of ice cream choices, vegan options too and recyclable packaging. Queued out the door but moved quickly. Big scoops of ice cream, I could’ve done with half the size and that was the 1 scoop. 1 scoop £4.50, 2 scoops £6, 3 scoops £7.50. Could’ve done with sharing a tub. I had the vegan caramel. It was ok, reminded me of the taste of the foam on a coke float.

Amazing flavours of ice cream and in my opinion not a bad price when you consider the fact the toppings are complimentary. You could easily pay the same price, if not more, elsewhere (especially in England) and not even get a flake let alone an array of chocolates, nuts & jelly sweets etc.

Been here many times, very busy place due to the location and the shops offerings. It is a professional looking place and has many sweet treats. Dog friendly and also a number of dog treats available. Was a bit slow for a Saturday afternoon with only two servers on, so had to wait. They were friendly enough however. The price of Ice cream has certainly gone up. They do have a number of ice creams to choose from. More staff and stagnating prices would be idea

Certainly the best ice-cream and ice-cream shop that's out there. Don't be scared away by the queue, the ultimate prize is worthy it plus the stuff is quite efficient in taking orders to reduce the time in the queue

Crowded and cramped, but oh so worth it. Lovely ice cream, very nice staff, really enjoyed it. And my son, who has food allergies, was able to eat here and the staff were very attentive to his needs (he had the Cherry Cola ice cream, which was delicious). Looking forward to going back some day!

The best ice-cream ever!! We were up visiting for a few days and my daughter and her friend visited twice a day it was so good (I also had a couple of tries😉). The staff were wonderful and friendly too. 100% will be back next time we are up that way.

Busy little shop. Lots of choice with some new flavours to us. I chose a scoop of jaffa cake and a scoop of mango and it was truly delicious. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Walked from ST Combs along the beach then across some of the golf course , wonderfull day. Headed to get an ice cream. Very good, Bueno and a mint choc chip and cookies and cream with 99 flake. Sat down at beach, so fine. Incredible value. Later walked back to Fraserburgh on the beach. Only issue is you have to cross a stream, shoes off or you can use a large plastic bag. Fabulous. 😁😁

Been licking ice-cream out of there for the last sixty years. Never had a fault to complain about. Cones, 99s, scallops, tubs, cartons and sliders. Most times I visit the village, I end up in the shop for my ice cream fix. I was partial to their chips for a long number of years as well.

We found Peters Ices by chance when we were wandering around in our campervan. Absolutely loved our ice creams. They have a delicious selection of flavours. We had large cones with the option of two flavours. Of course I had to try the Wham and the Irn Bru. It was amazing, highly recommend that combination. Very reasonable prices.

The best ice cream ever. I had 3 flavours in tubs and they were gorgeous. Tiny shop in a tiny town, the locals are so lucky to have this place in their village.

Sat in and got coffee and a sandwich. The service a little slow to seat me but all orders arrived quickly. This sandwich came with fries and salad. Nicely presented and the food was of a good quality. The coffee was very good. They have nice clean toilets. Great selection of cakes. Good selection of wine. This is next to the train station.

Not long waiting to be seated, once we were sitting down we were 2 minutes deciding what to order, it took the staff 5 minutes to take our order. So i ordered the large breakfast with extra bacon and sausage and my wife ordered scrambled eggs and toast. My breakfast was like a cheap hotel breakfast and the tomatoes were super small i couldn't get them off the vines. My wife's scrambled eggs were bland and tasteless. Maybe the chef was having a bad day, the service was better than the food.

Not often I give a poor appraisal but there are a few things worth mentioning here. The cafe is in an excellent location and very welcoming. The gentleman who seated me was friendly and professional he also said I could stay for 2hrs max which was good as I was killing time. I enquired about the WiFi and he told me to connect to the shopping mall WiFi which was absolutely pathetic really struggled to get internet. Staff were excellent although what I originally wanted was not available pulled ham on rarebit flatbread. So I opted for a mozzarella tomato and rocket baguette with iced berry tea. The baguette was tough as old boots and the tea tasteless. I then ordered an iced coffee latte and a slice of carrot cake. The iced coffee was a little bitter to my taste and the carrot cake was dry. No reflection on the baker who made this cake as I feel when it was fresh it would have been superb. While I was sitting there a gentleman customer wanted to enter but because he had no internet access he could not enter with the track and trace scanner. I really wish the internet was better for people who don't have the option of using their own mobile data. Anyway no reflection on the staff no complaints. They are the reason for the 3 stars or unfortunately it would have been a 2 star review

The cakes were not as great. The chocolate cake was dry but luckily the cream was quite delicious. The cream puff on top was super hard and dry. The lemon cheese cake was okay. Overall I will not come back for the cake. However, the service was quick and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was nice.

Great location within Union Square, get a seat out the front and watch the world go by! Great covid protection in place, and explained by the sever before entering. Coffee was excellent and service spot on, breakfast was ok, beans were cold and the sausages were burnt on the bottom making them hard and tasting funny.

Came for lunch at Barra and had a lovely time. The staff was friendly and the overall experience was good. Had the Chicken Burger for lunch which was lovely, just got tired of the jam by the end of it but it was still very tasty. Outside of the meal do yourself a favor and grab some strawberries, they're some of the best you'll ever have!

A great little spot for breakfast or ice cream. There decor inside is lovely and there is plenty of seating outside as well. The whole place is dog friendly and they provide little water bowls for dogs too. Food and drink was lovely. Had a really homemade feel and was served quickly. One of the nicest coffees I've had in a while. Staff were all great. Couldn't do enough for you and we're incredibly friendly.

Fascinating place to visit and the ice cream was delicious!

Visited here with my parents, it was my mother's birthday. Although not busy and there were staff around (behind the counter and cleaning tables) we waited quite a while for service and eventually had to go up to the counter to ask. Apparently nobody realised we hadn't ordered. A few words were had between staff members about who would take our order (not very subtly, we saw it and it felt awkward). The coffee was very good, but some of the baking was a little dry and underwhelming for the price.

Love, Love, LOVE this place. The food - savoury and sweet - is FANTASTIC!!! The staff are fab - so friendly and the service is great too. All in all well worth a visit from Aberdeen!

The place is popular and today was no exception. We come often, however, today was really disappointing from the get go. We waited ages for menus and a drinks order to be taken. When the drinks arrived (bottles/ cans) only one came. We then waited another 10 minutes before the other cans came. Our food arrived relatively quickly. Where we were sat, meant it was difficult for the servers to serve us without an armpit in your face. And the same when taking our plates away, they sat there for ages. I ordered the pie board at £14.00. It came with no pie! 3 slices of cheese, salad, chutney and a slice of toast. It was difficult to get attention from the servers. I gave up trying to tell them. When my husband paid the bill, we were overcharged for items not ordered. It was a let down today.

Annie’s Cakery is a total gem! Her cakes are always stunning, and this one was no exception—absolutely gorgeous from top to bottom! It was such a treat to photograph, with all the beautiful details that made it stand out. And let’s not forget the flavours – the guests were loving it! If you’re after a cake that looks amazing and tastes incredible, I can’t recommend Annie enough. Can’t wait for the next wedding we get to team up on!

What an absolute gem. Found Annies by accident in my hour of need having made a bit of a mess of finding a birthday cake for my partner while in the area on holiday. Impeccable cake, scone and coffees while we mulled a custom order to solve the cake crisis. Engaging friendly staff, great quality food, great view from their perch up the hill. Faultless.

We went here for a coffee before an appointment. Husband loved his caramel macchiato, FIL had an americano and I had a wonderful latte. We each had a different sweet piece which were so good my husband bought a small selection of scones and cakes to take home. The scones were so fresh they were still warm. The bakers were filling the display with fresh goodies as we had our drinks. Amazing staff they did have allergen sheets which we didn't make use of but were advertised as available on request. Planning to go back and have lunch sometime soon as the offerings are really tempting the menu was on the table today's soup of the day was butternut squash, scones of the day were pear & toffee, cheese or fruit. They offer sandwiches, toasties, wraps, salads and baked potatoes. Pricing was very reasonable for the portion sizes I could see.

We bought 2 ice creams. I had cappuccino and mandarin/cherry ripple in a double scoop and daughter had a tub of vegan peach. Cost was about £9 As soon as we got outside the shop and started eating them, daughter said that her peach ice cream was not nice, and that it tasted synthetic rather than fresh and juicy as she had hoped. She wondered if it had some sort of sweetener rather than sugar. I tasted it too and agreed that it was not good, rather bland and lacking in peach flavour, but weirdly sweet. So we took the ice cream back and asked if she could have something different. This is the point at which the experience plummeted from 4-5* to 2* All of the staff in the shop were quite young and when I explained the problem to the server behind the counter she said that they don't usually exchange ice creams because there are tasters available and we should have asked for one. I said it was a shame that we hadn't known that we could have a taster, but that either way we now had a not very nice ice cream. At this point the server said that she had had the peach ice cream and liked it. I pointed out that taste is subjective and that my daughter didn't like the ice cream. The server then asked "what if everyone wanted to buy an ice cream and then exchange it?" I pointed out that that was unlikely to happen, and that in fact I was very happy with my ice cream, it was just my daughter's ice cream that was the problem. The server then offered to phone her manager to see how she felt about our request. I told her not to bother, that I thought it was a pretty straight forward situation and that I would have expected pretty much any food service business to replace an item that a customer was unhappy with. We left and threw the peach ice cream away. If you are going to leave your business in the hands of teenagers, then I would suggest that you give them a few pointers on customer service. EDIT: Yes, it did happen exactly as I said - feel free to post your CCTV 2nd EDIT: On Trip Advisor someone said: "Took family here for ice cream at the weekend. I had mango sorbet that neither tasted of mango, nor was a sorbet. Daughter had strawberry ice cream that tasted like sour raspberries. Very disappointed." And you said: "In the event you had returned and expressed this to a member of staff we would have been more than happy and very willing to exchange your purchase and even offered tasters to find a flavour more to your liking." Well, well....

Was disappointed with the flavour of mint chocolate chip and vanilla , mint chocolate chip wasn’t sharp like it supposed to be and very bland, and I couldn’t see many chocolate chips in there. Again the vanilla just tasted like iced milk. I’ll not be going back in a hurry the one in Banchory is much better quality I’m sorry to say.

A lovely wee ice cream shop in Ballater. Friendly, helpful staff who are happy to give recommendations. Lots of flavours available and the ice cream is all homemade. Dairy free and vegan options available too. I even managed to get my dog a wee scoop which they topped with a dog biscuit too.

Bought one of the Bread Maker Mothers Day afternoon tea gifts to collect/take away. It was absolutely HUGE, looked amazing and tasted fantastic. Brilliant value for money and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. A great wee place where they clearly care about what they do.

I ordered sandwich platters for a birthday party. Couldn't fault the service or food received from The Bread Maker. They were so helpful when emailing and offering advice on amount to order for expected guests. Sandwiches were freshly made in time for me collecting, and well filled. They have great selection of fillings and allow you to mix and match the type of bread/wrap/softie used for the fillings. I received great feedback from guests, that they were some of the best sandwiches they had had. I will 100% be back for any future party catering requirements.

Hidden Treasure Cafe in Johnshaven is a delightful find. We visited with family and were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere. The coffee and cakes were indeed the best, with rich flavors and perfect textures. We also enjoyed the ice cream, which was a good and refreshing treat.I was pleased to see plenty of options available on the menu, making it easy to find something delicious. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a quality meal with beautiful views. We will definitely be returning.

A fine selection of home baking 🍰 light meals filled rolls (bacon, egg etc), also a selection of sandwiches 🥪 various fillings & a soup of the day. Super barista style coffee ☕ plus a wide selection of teas & cold drinks. Ice creams also on offer. Super clean & well presented establishment. All served by very pleasant staff. What a lovely Hidden Treasure in Johnshaven! The Cafe was toasty warm following the last few days of Babet’s brutality along the east coast of Scotland. I enjoyed a Flat White with a slice of Fruit Loaf and wished I purchased more for later, though most likely it would have been devoured before later. Mary Brennan, proprietor, is a delightful host and baker and as you can see in the photos her baked goods look excellent. I would love to sample them all, which warrants a trip back to Stonehaven!

Really happy with our visit to this cafe, we were greeted with a smile and immediately felt welcomed. Both food and drink were delicious and served quickly despite being slightly busy. I recommend the hot chocolate with cream, marshmallows and flake - alongside one mug of it I got some extra on the side which was a bonus! This place truly is a hidden treasure, and hopefully at the next opportunity we will be back! :)

We drove here to try the ice cream, based on the reviews online. The ice cream flavours tried were belgian chocolate, oreo cookies and cream, bubblegum and banana caramel. My kids loved them all and my daughter said the banana caramel was the best ice cream flavour she had ever had - high praise indeed 😂 Definitely worth a visit.

I love Crema!! Excellent coffee, smooth and bitter and comes in two sizes. There's so much choice from the menu, great freshly made sandwiches and baguettes with side salad, reasonably priced - unlike other posh and pretentious places who charge 12£ for a panini. Add pleasant staff, good opening hours, comfy seats and great ice cream, and it's a top favourite! Thank you all, I will be back very soon :)

Halal and delicious food. Love the scottish breakfast and fruit waffle (so many fruits, love it!) Also love the place and atmosphere, cosy and clean. The staff was also kind and friendly. We phoned an order for lunch on a Sunday and got to collect within half an hour! Amazing service and gorgeous food. Packaging kept food warm (and cold for the ice cream) so we could enjoy it at home 😋

Lovely wee place in the bridge of don. Loved the smashed avocado on sourdough!! Piled plenty of cheese on the baked potato too and easily changed the milk in the chai lattes to non dairy :)

Had a lovely time with the wife and son here last week! Made a terrible clunk of myself after mistaking the nice ice cream scooper for spitting in the mint choc chip. It was a trick of the light, it turns out Partridges Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream is lovely and contains ZERO spit, unlike some other ice cream establishments I have encountered in my travels over the years. My son described the hot fudge sauce as "absolutely Poggers"- I do not know what this means and alas my personal copy of the Oxford English Dictionary has failed to reveal this phrase's meaning

I'm 100% certain this comment will be removed as this place is so far up their own backsides and can't take a single bit of criticism, but here goes. Customer Service: in a word? awful. can't take criticism nor suggestion. i recently commented on a facebook post of theirs suggesting ways they could reduce the likelihood of them spreading the virus, since they insist on being open despite the fact that nothing they sell is deemed essential. they're just trying to up profits amidst turmoil. it was a reasonable, friendly, lighthearted comment, but of course they removed it because they know for a fact they shouldn't be open. all of this because a few years ago they sold me a sub-standard Hot Chocolate and i told them it was awful. they're so massively stuck up that they can't bear to hear any criticism about their terrible shop. AVOID.

A gem in an unexpected place, Smugglers Cone sells great ice-cream for warm days and hot drinks for cold days. Collieston is a fantastic seaside village with harbour and sheltered beach great for kids. We have been visiting for many years with our kids and now grandkids perfect for picnics.

Tasty ice cream...generous 1 scoop...all you need. Friendly staff. Also do teas and coffees, but it was a lovely, warm, sunny day, so perfect for an ice cream cone. Right on the beach too. Great for swimming in the harbour.

Hidden gem of a place Well worth a visit

Absolutely loved this gem of a bakery. Our pistachio pain au chocolat was DELICIOUS. The coffees were also perfect.

What a delightful place, with great coffee! I came for lunch and for their baked goods (which are both excellent), but their coffee took me completely by surprise: their flat white had such an amazing fruitiness to it, I went back inside to buy a bag of the beans they were using. I went back on another day to have a straight espresso, to *really* see how good they are, and while it might not have been the best I've ever had, let's be honest, I regularly go out of my way to try out specialty cafés and I'm being nitpicky, because they're on the level of some really fantastic cafés I've been to in London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow! I'd bet there's no better coffee shop to be found within 30 miles, easily, and I've tried! Also, their garden is such a pleasant place to sit in for a bit, and make sure to get the optional side salad if you have toasties (made with cheese from right across the road, I believe?), it's definitely worth it.

A lovely spot with friendly staff. We sat in the garden with our dog. The coffee is fantastic and the cake was too! We arrived too late for lunch unfortunately as we were out walking and biking but I would love to go back to try some of the savoury food too!

One's I tried the bakery from Courie Courie, I felt foodgasm (it's very difficult to explain) You need to try thye product to understand. Unfortunately for me, I live a 30-minute drive away from Aboyne, but regularly once a week, I go just to Aboyne to do my delicious supply in Courie Courie Bakery.

So lovely, we went back the next day. Soup the first day. The bakery had such a lovely atmosphere and we got to sit outside in the sun and chill. Went back the next day and had some very tasty cakes. Very kind staff!

A little gem nearby the Muir of Dinnet. A Bakery with tables inside and outside where you can have some coffee, tea, cake or homemade pies. Also a little store for potatoes, onions....from the region. If you want some nice bread or rolls you have to be early, otherwise it's all gone. Opening times are from Wednesday to Saturday....

I cried for the money I paid £18 three ice creams from 2 scoops of ice cream. I said chocolate banana and they gave me melon and chocolate, my husband chocolate strawberry and he got raspberry. the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted.

Myself and my partner went excited to try the “gelato” ice cream as promoted in the name and reviews we seen seemed good. Unfortunately this is not gelato and tastes store bought, has no gelato consistency sadly. I got the cookie dough flavour and this was simply a vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips. My partner got the banoffee which just tasted of banana. It was also very expensive for what you get, especially as it Isn’t true gelato… £5 for a 2 scoop tub.

Very tasty the gelato was very smooth and delicious 🥰🤩 and the guy who served us was very generous he let us tried alot of kinds of gelato and the sorbet. Highly recommended

Seriously the best ice cream in whole Aberdeen,🍧🍨🍦 they serve freshly squeezed fruit juices, great coffee, smoothies and joghurt too. If you haven't tried it yet, do it now or you'll be missing out. Their ice cream tastes a lot better than Crollas or Baskin Robins. Fantastic friendly staff too. My new favourite little local business shop on George Street

Best ice cream place in Aberdeen. They are Italian inspired. Prices are ok. Got a variety of flavours and have sherbets , which are vegan friendly. You get a generous portion of ice cream 😉 Small place but has some space for you to sit down to enjoy your ice cream!

Lemon and many other sherbets. Nocciola and many other Italian and international flavours. The quality and texture of the gelato as advertised, is different to Ice cream. The range of flavours appeals to everybody. If you are unsure of a flavour you can try for free, not like other places in Aberdeen, where they will not dare to let you try before you buy.

Been on saturtday noon, not much people, fast service, from ordering to getting food max 5 minutes. Bubble waffles with ice cream portion as big as your own head :D, price per waffle £7.95. Good price 👍 for amount of what you getting. Good selection of ice cream too.

Somebody really needs to out this place - how on earth it has 4.6* is completely beyond me...maybe it's under new management? Honestly the worst breakfast I've ever had anywhere. Completely pork-free menu, so turkey rashers and chicken sausages - I was happy to live with this until the food arrived... First of all I was told I couldn't have my eggs "my way" as the menu states, because they were running out of poached eggs - so these aren't poached to order... The rashers were luke warm and stiff, the pot of beans was literally stone cold like they'd just come out of the fridge, everything else on the plate was swimming in water (either from the scrambled egg or the mushrooms) and therefore soggy. Literally everything tasted cheap and weird. When I pointed out the cold beans, they were taken away and returned to me volcanic - literally scalding hot. The cutlery was also filthy - something else that had to be replaced. The coffee was actually good, but if you want ANYTHING else do yourself a favour and stay away from Crema.

Had coffee and tray bakes on two occasions between hospital visits. Coffee and bakes both good. The staff were freindly and helpfull and the place was clean and tidy. Will go again if visiting the area in the future.

DO NOT GO HERE!!. I've went to crema for a long time usually the bridge of don one but we went with mastrick as the bridge don one wasn't open yet. We had to cancel the order because my girlfriend (im blaming it on pregnancy brain) forgot one of her topping we cancelled pretty much as soon as the order went though put in the correct order. Only to be met with a phone call as soon as the second order went through being extemply checky saying were not doing your order because we already had your first order ready to go. Mind you both order were littlery minutes apart and the first order was instantly cancelled now they are refusing to give us our order or our money back and are just hanging up as soon as I call. I highly recommend the bridge of don branch but this mastrick branch is just scammers looking for a easy paycheck the place needs shut down.

I had my birthday there and the place was really lovely with nice decor and amazing environment….the desert was super tasty yummy!….everything was perfect…would highly recommend.

Not very good cold cookie pie straight from the fridge no option to hest it and the tiniest scoop of ice cream to go with it and the worst syrups I've ever tasted service was ok but still mich better ice cream places around for the price

A first time visit to 16 Below. I had the Bicoff Sundae, which was fantastic. Plus the size of it, definitely a 2 man job, but I managed. Can’t wait to visit again.

Had a bueno sundae and a smores sundae. They were just poor on the flavour side and left a bad aftertaste plus a stale wafer on top. To top it off they were pricey.

The ice cream sundaes were awesome! (Maybe a little too full as in overflowing but not an issue) Staff could of been a little friendlier I feel but hey we all have our bad days 😊

Out of this world ice-cream... sadly, the prices are also astronomical. We couldn't afford to go here more than once or twice a year (£15 for 2 kids sundaes).

Baileys cheesecake with toffee sauce, chocolate buttons and crumbled flake………..amazing! Interesting ice cream flavours too, including butterscotch and rainbow banana. Will definitely be back 😁

I love their vegan Biscoff Sundae! Highly recommend the vegan chocolate nero flavour. The staff are lovely and friendly too. 😊

Beautiful presentation and good customer service. The flavour base is too buttery. Italian gelato is no way this buttery. The after taste of a gelato is creamy but much lighter than the ones we tried today: vainilla, cheesecake, raspberry, Ferrero, salted caramel

Good local ice cream shop with sensible Covid precautions in place. Nice range of ice creams too and a friendly shop assistant. The owner has asked what they could have done to get five stars from me. I have to respond here because Google doesn't give me the option of replying directly. First off I rarely give five stars, after all nothing is ever completely perfect. However I should have been happier if the available ice creams had matched what was on the menu board..... I had my heart set on mint choc chip but had to make do with something else.. oh and outdoor seating, probably not possible, but would have been nice. Other than that it was pretty good. Not as good as ice cream I once had in Florence, but pretty good for Culter! On a recent return visit we were told that they have changed suppliers. My wife commented that the flavours available seemed less interesting, but that it was good to see vegan options on offer.

Very tasty ice cream, large selection, there was even a kiwi flavor, I haven’t seen it for a long time. Highly recommend.

This place is a flavour playground, and the staff? Cool as hell. No fake smiles, no soulless scripted greetings, just chilled, friendly guys who know how to scoop without the smug. (Take note, overpriced artisan hipster joints.) The Banoffee, Caramel Galaxy, Bounty, Nutella, and Salted Caramel are dangerously addictive; rich, full-bodied, properly indulgent flavours that actually taste like what they say. Revolutionary, I know. And the prices? Reasonable enough to justify going back for “just one more scoop” every day this week. (No shame.) Ignore the joyless palette police in the reviews, some people would complain if Beyoncé handed them a free ice cream herself. Support this place. It’s local, it’s quality, and it actually delivers the goods.

The dessert was absolutely delicious – creamy ice cream with rich chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings hit the spot! The service isn't the fastest, but when it comes to treats this good, it's totally worth the wait – perfectly understandable. Definitely one of the best places to visit, and hands down the best dessert in Inverurie!

Ice cream doesn't taste anything like the flavours advertised. White chocolate had no white choc taste at all, the tablet was equally disappointing. My husband had the bounty and the coconut. Neither tasted anything like a bounty or coconut. The texture just isnt right either, all 4 leave a powdery texture in the mouth. I was expecting a nice rich creamy ice cream, instead it's frozen poorly flavoured skimmed milk at best. Sadly won't go back for ice cream. My kids love the smoothies and shakes though. I'll try these next time.

Strawberry ice cream was amazing. I was really surprised, was not expecting a rich creamy true authentically natural ice cream experience when we popped in for a coffee a few weeks ago. We will be taking the family back to try more flavours.

Food is nice but I have noticed they don’t like to be speedy for the teenagers but they be as quick as they can with other residents and they don’t let us sit at the back table how do they expect me and my 5 friend to sit in a 4 seater table we have enough of being seen as the bad bunch and having cameras on us when we just want to have a nice seat and eat some nice food with our friends enough is enough.
