Wanted to try some good quality ice-cream, this was the one! Friendly staff, generous portion and good value for money. Really good selection of flavours, able to try too! I ordered the vanilla, my favourite and you can't go wrong, and the chocolate chip flavour. I paid £4.50 for two scoops. You also get free topping and sauce. I chose nuts and chocolate sauce. We sat outside and soaked in the sun. It was lovely! Would highly recommend. Only downside was, no cones!!

Journey would not be fun or complete without an ice creaM at the beach. This is a small shop selling gelatos. Although I don’t think the flavours were 100% the original taste as there were quite sweet. Perhaps lots of cream and sugar must be used to make the gelato. Overall it was average and could do better.

Throughly enjoyed our pistachio, banoffee, coconut and white chocolate flavours. Delicious and really friendly service. Thank you.

Got the Turkish Delight and Mandarin and my friend got Vanilla and Pistachio, all were super fresh and yummy! Would 100% go again.

As ice-cream parlours on the seaside go, Melt does the basics right. It presents well (though perhaps remove all the boxes from the public facing areas?), makes its own products, and a single scoop ice cream is generously proportioned. There is nothing stopping you from attaining reasonably priced instant enjoyment. The texture of the ice cream is very smooth indeed. Yet, for me, I felt let down on flavour. Even when one churns their own ice cream and uses high quality milk, the recipe also still needs to be right. Many may not question it, but I wonder how many natural, fresh and from scratch ingredients are used in making these flavours, and whether the custard base is properly made to achieve the full heady aroma of a good creamy ice cream. To me the flavours I tried (three different fruit flavours) were all off in the sense of not really honing the flavour of the fresh or prepared fruit itself. So, certainly, when you're simply after a sweet treat, I'm ready to believe the claim of freshly made and it is also well-churned. This still puts Melt ahead of some of the competition and on a hot day may be enough to sway you. I personally had higher expectations.

A lovely setting to have lunch in. The way the venue is decorating give a relaxing vibe. Portions sizes of food were very generous. I had a jacket potato with beans and 3 cheeses. My husband had a hot dog and side of onion rings then white chocolate millionaires shortbread after. Everything was Vegan and delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming. There is an accessible toilet and entrance. Great choice of food, alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.

We have been a few times before and always loved it! The staff are always friendly and give an excellent service. We decided to treat ourselves to the Traditional Afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. You can get unlimited tea and there are many to choose from and change to try others. The sandwiches were delicious and the perfect amount, the favourite was the coronation Chichun’. Then you have sweets of scones, croissant, cakes and little tarts. The best bit is if you can’t eat it all you can get a container to take home your left overs. Make sure to check out the counter too as they have many other vegan cakes and savoury options to take home! Can’t wait to visit again.

We ordered our wedding cake from Vegan Antics. The whole process of ordering was excellent, initially we ordered the cupcakes to decide on flavours and the final cake was delicious and looked great! All our guests really enjoyed it and the decoration on it was amazing, exactly what we asked for. Highly recommend for any occasion.

My child and I love Vegan Antics; it's the best location I know for delicious plant-based cakes and cookies! They serve a variety of delicious snacks and beverages; personally, I enjoy their passion fruit smoothie and chocolate megashake! The cafe is beautifully furnished, and the staff is always friendly and always serve with a smile ! I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone who enjoys good cuisine and beverages!

Visited Vegan Antics en route to Vegan Camp UK at The Retreat Animal Sanctuary. The menu was extensive, though I would’ve personally appreciated a bit more variety, especially a couple of wholefood-based options. I eventually opted for the chick’n burger and fries. The fries were well-seasoned, but I was a bit disappointed by the burger — it seemed to be a Fry’s-style patty or something similar, rather than a homemade seitan version, which I had hoped for. I also picked up a tunah sandwich to have for later, but unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the texture — it was almost a slimy consistency and I ended up having to throw it away unfortunately. Maybe picked the wrong dishes on this visit. On a more positive note, the sweet treats looked tasty. I tried the lemon curd Viennese whirl which I did enjoy.

Amazing place!! All completely vegan, beautiful deserts and cakes, tasty milkshakes and lovely food too! Decor is so cutesy and chic inside, love it here!!

We had the creamy mushrooms on toast and the build-your-own breakfast (tofu scramble, bacon, sausage, hash brown, beans and toast) with cappuccinos to wash it down. All very nice, would order again except for the tofu scramble- had an interesting cardboard-y taste, not a fan.

Absolutely love Morellis, have been a number of times- such a beautiful location & love the decor and the history of the place. The staff are very sweet and helpful - which is not easy as it’s often very busy (for good reason!) They really went the extra mile to find something we’d left behind by accident, which was so appreciated. I would love to see more vegan options there (although they have a great range of sorbets, and oat milk for drinks) & everyone I’ve been with who isn’t vegan has really enjoyed the gelato and huge sundaes!

Good Hot Chocolate & Interesting Interior Stopped by Morelli’s Gelato in Broadstairs and had their thick Italian hot chocolate. It was rich and warming, a good choice for a cold day. The interior has a distinctive, retro feel, which adds some character to the place. It’s also dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

No idea what the fuss is about. There is a mile queue for the take away, so we sat down inside just to find out that you still have to go order and fetch the ice creams yourself. The restaurant appears to be messy and dirty, tables aren't really being cleared off and there is only one toilet. Upon ordering the tender is probably the rudest person in Broadstairs. When I changes my order from 2 Eton mess to 3, he rolled his eyes at me and made me feel really uncomfortable. The Eton mess says has chopped up strawberries inside but it was like a treasure hunt trying to find those. The "affocatos" were 80% over-sweetened vanilla ice cream and 20% burned esperesso. Waffle: don't bother. And to top all things up: 3 Eton mess', two affocatos, one waffle and one chocolate ice cream in a cup cost us a wooping £70 and no service with it whatsoever. AVOID!

Recommended by my friend. Lots of seating so you can eat your ice cream or cakes in comfort. A good selection of deserts, even the old favourites. The prices had increased since the last time my friend visited, but they were very tasty.

An amazing ice cream parlour that wears its heritage proudly. From the decor to the service and the sundaes it was all 10/10. You have the option to take away which is a separate line near the entrance, or just walk on to the counter and order to sit in.

Retro ice-creams in retro glassware. Lots of flavours and you can choose from plenty of ways to eat / drink them too. The queues were very long, so we opted to sit inside, only to find out there wasn't table service, so I had to queue anyway. The staff were quite stressed and not the friendliest, it's also not completely obvious where to queue and pay if you're eating in. My partner loved his sundae, and we both had milkshakes which were very nice. Overall worth the money and the wait.

Absolutely delicious ice cream situated in a retro designed shop. Always try to come here when in Broadstairs - they have other branches but I like this one. They have classic flavours as well as new ones such as ‘dubai chocolates’. I usually go for an Affogato or hazelnut flavour. Portions aren’t huge and prices are expensive but this is an occasional treat - but it’s a whole experience.

Where to start? This place is CONSISTENTLY excellent in all areas, service, food, cleanliness we love our visits! The jewel in the crown here is the staff though. They are so friendly, cannot do enough for you, make sure your children get the perfect flavour, the list goes on and they deserve recognition. You can dine in and the selection of food is wonderful, or just grab and go. Don’t hesitate to pop in and get a wonderful dessert- you won’t be disappointed!!!!! I was really looking forward to trying the cola float here, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. It had very little flavor, looked quite unappealing, and unfortunately didn’t live up to the price either. I brought it to the staff’s attention, but was told that’s just how they’re made. I appreciate the response, but for the cost, I expected something much better in both taste and presentation. Definitely not what I was hoping for.

The gelato at Creams in Chatham was perfect – rich and creamy with a variety of delicious flavors. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff making the experience even better. The prices were reasonable for the quality offered. Highly recommended!

######### 30th April 2022 ############ This restaurant is a health HAZARD. DINE IN REVIEW. WATCH BEFORE YOU EAT! Ate here (sort of) on the visit to Canterbury. Ordered Vegetarian breakfast, Halloumi & Chili jam flat bread and orange juice. Ordered at 1:37 PM on a Saturday. Food did not arrive until 2:20 PM and that too I had to go and ask for it. They just forgot about it. Service is horrible and super slow. No cleanliness whatsoever. We choose to sit outside because of 🌞 and our table was no wiped for 20 mins. I had to go inside and ask for it. Even then, the staff came and sort of wiped it. Now, hear the food review. 1) Orange juice did not taste freshly squeezed even though I was told it would be freshly squeezed. 2) Halloumi and chili jam bread: This was below average. It came with fries which were dry and seemed like they were made hour ago 3) Vegetarian breakfast: THIS WAS HORRIBLE. Single poached egg which was tasteless. I just can't begin to tell you about the portion of beans. It was like 2 tablespoons. 1 PIECE MUSHROOM WITH A SMALL SHARP PIECE OF PLASTIC. MY WIFE COULD HAVE CHOKED ON IT OF SHE SWALLOWED IT. LUCKILY SHE CAUGHT IT AND IT WAS RAZOR SHARP. I WENT INSIDE AND RETURNED THE LEFT OVER. THE STAFF SORT OF WAS SORRY BUT WAS SUPER CASUAL ABOUT IT. I ASKED TO CANCEL THE ITEM AS I ALREADY PAID FOR IT. THEY TOOK ANOTHER 10 MINS TO FIND THE ORDER AND REFUND THE AMOUNT. The service experience has been horrible at this restaurant and not just this branch. The staff had some sort of attitude and I experienced horrible service at their Eastbourne location. Even around that time there was only 1 staff member on a Sunday but he had major attitude in serving or cleaning the table. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR VISIT EVER AGAIN.

Food is way overpriced for tiny portions and bland taste. The fruit tasted of perfume and everything had no flavor. The coffee also took 15-20 min to be made. They also denied me loyalty program benefits even though the signs are all over the tables.

This was a nice bakery to visit in-between sightseeing. We enjoyed hot chocolate, espresso, cappuccino, and tea as well as the nice pies, cakes and other sweet goodies. It is centrally located on the main street so it was busy and full. We ould do some people watching from our seats near the big windows! The selection of sweets were expansive and it was difficult to choose just one thing!!

Been here over 10 times, it just gets worse and worse. One day card machine doesn't work, another food is not served because chef didn't bother coming in, another day the food takes over an hour to come. Food is not consistent and the staff looks shabby not well trained either. This place is far off the company standards of Patisserie Valerie. Cleaning is poor and I saw members of the staff cleaning the cutleries with an apron, in particular the red haired boy. Tables are dirty and not cleaned regularly. If I see this on the floor, I can only imagine what goes behind the kitchen, so bad. I hope all of it gets sorted, might come back in few months, for now avoid like the plague.

Came in for a quick coffee and a piece of cake, the service seemed all nice until we received our coffees only to realise that the service in this place is terrible and it all comes down to one person unfortunately. This elderly lady with glasses came over giving our coffees, we received our coffees without plates or spoons as you can see the lattes, the hot chocolate was the only one given with. My mum asked this lady for some sugars and spoons and she brings back a a singular long spoon and the sugars to which we asked her politely if we could get more for the other lattes as there was 4 of us in total, she turn back to grab them but decides she would like to make comments out loud telling us to calm down like we even said anything we should of have, the attitude given by this staff was rude and very disrespectful to use towards customers. I shall not be returning due to this poor service, shame to say one person can ruin it all.

Having been to many locations in the past myself and my wife were excited for our visit. To say it was sub standard is an understatement. How this can cost £32.95 for two people! The simple fact is it is not anywhere near close to the advert. Which shows 2 cups (for 2 people ) 6 small cake types and sandwiches. We were handed 3 small cakes and what can only described a slither of sandwich pictures attached. In reality the small print mentions less cakes but why be so underhand. disappointing and will not returning with many great independent cream tea providers at much better prices, service and quality

Saw great reviews and the promise of “ handmade” cakes - but give this one a huge miss! since arriving in Canterbury a couple weeks ago I stepped in about three times, been ignored and left unattended. There’s usually a busy clientele and this made me believe it was worth the effort so I tried one more time and settled in for a lunchtime tomato basil soup which the menu proudly declares “new”! Coulda, shoulda had an insta cup from Sainsbury’s across the road- and my simple order took so long I wondered after if perhaps someone was in fact dispatched to fetch the meal elsewhere. Perhaps the cakes are home made and worth the fuss I’ll never know because I won’t try here again - The bread slices definitely came from the grocery and sadly not their baker’s own hands. (They could have served a Sainsbury’s croissant even. )Despite the fab High Street location, I’ll Definitely bypass here for the rest of my trip!

Loved the ice cream, great selection. If you're ordering to takeaway you have to order from outside which is a bit annoying as you can't see the selection unless you inside. Overall - kids loved it and and great flavours the adults too.

The best 99’s. The Beach Parlours mixed 99s have been a staple of summer memories since I can remember. Good portion, reasonable price, tastes so good! The queue for the ice cream window may look long but they do well to keep it moving so goes quicker than you think. The interior has recently been renovated - we are yet to dine in since but looks lovely.

Absolutely amazing service and the donut family share box was stunning. The owner did us some brilliant toppings. We also had two milkshakes that were also delicious well worth a visit.

We visited Deal with our toddler son who is severely allergic to peanuts and nuts. With this in mind, we contacted them in advance to ask if their ice cream was safe for him. After receiving no reply, we went anyway to ask in person. The staff seemed to have a limited understanding of the allergens that their food contained and found them instead to be rather dismissive. I suggest they brush up on their allergy knowledge before it lands them in serious trouble.

Large cafe in great location with the main pier just across the road. Always busy with a good selection of food, snacks, cakes, milkshakes, and drink cocktails at a reasonable price. On this occasion, I tried a tuna and cheese paninni and latte drink... very nice!

Best ice cream I've had in a very long time

Bought back childhood memories, used to go here 50 years ago when visiting grandparents who lived in Deal. Thankfully the interior has had an update since then but still the same great ice cream, the kids loved it.

Fish and chips were amazing. Not greasy and you got a plate full (this is a regular portion) Staff very friendly. Appears to be pricey but for the amount you get its value for money, do not come here unless you are hungry!

Cosy cafe with a great atmosphere! The coffee here is very tasty, fragrant and rich. Pleasant interior, comfortable places to rest. There is a children's menu, which is especially pleasing for families with children. And the main thing is the stunning sea view, which makes every visit special. A perfect place for a morning coffee or a quiet evening by the water. Will definitely be back again!

I had take away plaice and chips, the fish as they advertise is cooked fresh to order, batter perfectly crispy throughout and the fish add you would hope was fabulously fresh.. Chips were cooked nicely too.. Didn't comment on the atmosphere as I was in the take away area but staff were friendly..

Just paid £8 for this kids "pizza" and chips. If not clear this is half a bagel with tomato sauce and melted cheese on top. Absolutely disgraceful. If I didn't have a hungry kid I'd have gone back to demand our money back. Avoid!

Came in for cold drinks and had two sundaes, all I can say is that they were amazing. Service was really nice and a lovely cool place to chill out.

We visited there for lunch and we was so disappointed with the quality of the food. The tortilla chips thay were served with sandwiches where so stale, the chips were cheap and nasty tasting. A real shame as definitely would not eat there again. Lots of teenage staff behind counter with little knowledge on food or quality.

Lovely cafe on the seafront at Herne Bay. Nice view from window seats. Coffee good, I had Americano, and partner had Latte. Free WiFi, comfortable seating, and a nice and clean restaurant area. We had breakfast here, I had the full English, and Partner had the fresh fruit pancakes. All cooked fresh and served nice and hot. There was nothing to complain about. This place is worth a visit if your passing.

I came here for an afternoon tea after receiving it as a present for a birthday on “buy a gift”, and was extremely disappointed. The food was sparse and was not the best quality. The woman who served us lacked communication skills severely and after telling us the drinks were refillable, never came back over to check if we wanted another. The finger sandwhiches looked unappealing and dry and my friend quickly put it back down once finding a hair in it. We felt extremely ignored and just left in a silent cafe with no idea of what we were supposed to do. We decided to get up and leave after eating the scones to which they just said “thanks” across the counter. Will not be going back!! The only nice cake was the small chocolate one, the others were WET and had little to no taste. Since leaving the cafe, my friend has horrific stomach pains and feels sick… mentioned by another review left on here?! The food hygiene there is horrific 🤢

Bright clean, good location. Shared a cream tea with the wife. Sandwich he's were fresh and tasty, with a good veritity of cakes. Scones were warm, with a pot of jam each, but cream to share. As always the wife gets the larger half of the cream

We were gifted an afternoon tea, which was enjoyable, however… If you were to pay for it yourself it isn’t really worth it. Obviously the food you have is only small but it is the experience that counts and unfortunately our experience wasn’t very good! I am very understanding that shops get busy and are sometimes understaffed, however the cafe was almost empty, which was a factor towards the sort of awkward atmosphere. But that could have been our timing However the staff were very insistent that we payed online which I really was having trouble with, and as a young tech savvy person, I can only imagine how difficult this could be for someone older. On top of that, we weren’t welcomed that well which is pretty important Eventually I payed at the till and we were served, all was well but due to the awkward atmosphere we didn’t stay for any refills 🫣😅 Ahh well it was an experience but we probably won’t be doing it again

Stunning place for any occasion while shopping the busy streets of Maidstone. In the picture we had the afternoon tea for 2 which cost £10:95. Certainly worth every penny. Great customer service. Outside seating as well.

Excellent service, employees were very nice, but the food was so disappointing and over priced. My avocado on toast was tepid, watery, had a paper thin layer of avocado, salad was wilted and unseasoned, and it cost 8.25£!!!!

Nice spacious place in the shopping centre. It has out doors and indoors seating. The service was good, fast and very accurate, I entered to buy a take away cake since was my birthday, sadly they did not have many to sell in that moment but the lady at the till was helpful, she took the catalog and show me the pictures with the description. I had to buy separate portions of chocolate cake and made a cake. It was not that great, I have found it a bit dry, maybe it was not fresh since my birthday is the 2nd of January. I considered a bit overpriced the cakes for the size of portions. The prices of the candles are expensive as well a packet of 4 for £3,79

We arrived 20 minutes to closing but staff were more than happy to accommodate us. Lovely desserts, I had the chocolate dipped strawberries - very nice! Had the banoffee dough, super tasty!

The menu had lots of choice but it wasn't anything special, I have had far nicer puddings elsewhere. There was a fast service and the food was made to order. Prices are a little on the high side.

Don’t order the cookie dough…it is very small and misleading from the menu. Very dissatisfied with the presentation. The waffle is the triple of the size, better in flavour and same price.

My daughter wanted Pancakes for breakfast so I said we could go out. We had a look online and found a couple of places nearby, but the picture of the pancakes at Nutmegs won her over. We easily booked a table online and when we arrive it was easy to locate our table with our name on. The staff were friendly and attentive and we were given a menu on a wooden clipboard which along with the atmosphere made the place feel luxury. We ordered pancakes and the halloumi and shrooms. The food was delicious and we stayed for ages chatting and taking our time to enjoy breakfast. It was a really nice way to start the day. We'll be back thank you

The food in here is delicious. I wanted something Vegan and the lady went out of her way to go and get ingredients that they hadn’t got . The food my friend and myself had was so tasty. This is a lovely place to have some lunch. The staff are lovely, very polite and helpful.

Had a fantastic afternoon tea for my mums hen do. The staff were so friendly and accommodating especially when it came to allergies. I had a delicious dairy free afternoon tea. Will come again 😊

We frequently visit Nutmegs and decided to use them for a surprise 60th birthday party, and we’re able to book the whole cafe on a Sunday. We had twelve people, one vegetarian, and had an afternoon tea for the party. Trent and Meghan were easy to book with and a confirmation came through five days before the party. We had a few drop outs before the party (originally booked for 15), and this was easily accommodated. On the day, we were allowed access an hour early for decoration. When the birthday girl arrived, the team quickly sprung into action and we were served tea, coffee, the sandwiches and cakes as well as other soft drinks. As usual, the food was amazing, fresh, and homemade. We also asked for a Victoria sponge cake which was delicious. Our vegetarian friend received their own mini plates and a quiche instead of the incredible sausage rolls. They put on some soft music to complete the intimate atmosphere. We managed to eat what we could and took the rest home. All in all, an amazing experience at a very affordable price. I heartily recommend Nutmegs for breakfast, lunch, or a party.

I've just visited Nutmegs for the first time to have breakfast with my husband and what a pleasant experience from start to finish. The staff are just lovely. It's cosy, inviting with great decor and the breakfast and coffee was delish. I had the eggs benedict, a flat white and the American pancakes with bacon crumb. Such a lovely way to start my day. Thanks guys, can't wait for my next visit and to try the lunch menu :)

Went there on the 18th Feb after calling twice to confirm that they were even open we got there around 5pm to be told it's only take away. We then explained we had called twice of which they allowed us to continue with the Afternoon tea which we got from buyagift for Christmas. The service was below standard, the tables were dirty cups and dirty dishes left on every single table. Two staff on the floor but only 1 appeared to be working. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. One of the sandwiches we couldn't quite make out of the cheese was off, tasted weird and the bread a little stale. Honestly as this was a buyagift option, choose another branch from the list to ensure you are not disappointed as I would not pay for a meal here or go back.

Red letter day afternoon tea for 2 with £10 (4 cake slices) voucher. Pre booked as was quite busy. Staff polite. Sandwiches were not as good as they could have been. Cucumber and butter Sandwiches? Ham had fatty bits. Only nice bits on the afternoon tea were the cakes + scones. Nice to be able to choose the cake slices to take away.

Great choices..savoury and sweet. Mediterranean flat bread was lovely,very clean,polite staff but it was a Saturday and they did seem short staffed.i would still recommend for lunch.

Arrived at 10:00 there were 3 other customers, who were served and had finished before our drinks arrived. Coffee took 17 minutes to be made as a barista myself this isn’t just the time it takes to make 4 drinks. Cutlery absolutely filthy wouldn’t eat here. 5 members of staff all stood around chatting no smiling or customer service at all.

Went inside the shop and found a lot of freshly made pastries. Asked for one and she told they have to finish the left overs from the front tray and then only can sell the fresh once . Not very professional.

Went as received the afternoon tea voucher as a Christmas present. Was great. We were asked to come back in a while instead of waiting and everything was ready when we came back. The team really took care of us and our 2 kids. Delicious food and friendly staff. Thank you very much

The décor alone deserves applause – it’s easily one of the best-looking dessert spots in town. However, the service didn’t quite match the setting. Sadly, this branch doesn’t participate in the Creams loyalty app, which was a letdown. There was also a noticeable lack of consistency — some ice cream bowls arrived neatly with a base plate and napkins, while others came dripping down the sides with no plate and no napkin in sight. Small details, but they really matter when you’re handling melting desserts. Staff didn’t seem particularly friendly or engaged either, which took away from the overall experience. Great place for the vibe and a sweet treat, but there’s definite room for improvement in service and attention to detail.

Good dessert spot in Canterbury.. close to Canterbury cathedral.. The chocolate and pistachio fondant melt is great... chocolate fudge brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream is good as well.. The pistachio gelato is not really a gelato but too sweet compared to gelato we ate earlier or later (in fact within 1 day gap) in different places..

The desserts were pretty good but the they were more like ice creams not real gelato.

Unbelievable how long it takes for only 3 cones of ice cream. Seems German guests have to step back. An then unbelievable served ice that is not eaten gets back in the fridge.

This is the second time that have visited this ‘palace of pudding delight’. To be honest I though that my first visit was just a fluke and that things couldn’t really taste that good all of the time. I was wrong and very pleasantly surprised. The waffle I had (Strawberry fields) was just as tasty as they last choice that I had here, although if you pressed me I could name. The menu and additional choice are extensive and you easily spend a whole day in here sampling all of the delightful food available to you (especially if you enjoy sweet food) The staff are professional, friendly and very quick. They also extremely helpful and understanding. I have a service dog which I am still getting used to and when the staff understood what my dog was they were very accommodating, which I have to say is very refreshing. All in all, the revisit was well worth it and I shall be wending my way back here in the not too distant future - just to make sure that I haven’t steered anyone wrong with my recommendation (no self indulgence on my part of course!!)

Food is good but the management was horrific. Poor employees! The manager was seating on her iPhone. The member of staff needed some guidance regarding cash payment and she was extremely unprofessional. Talked to the staff with no respect.

Chiappini came up here to see if the ice cream shop was here, a different name now. I had a pistachio cannoli and a vanilla one and a salted Caramel ice cream in a cone. The pistachio one was better as it was thin .ice cream was great. Definitely will return

Nicely presented ice cream sundaes but not the best flavoured ice cream I have tasted for the price. Service was slow, they didn't have enough staff to cope and would have known that the folk festival would bring more visitors to the area than. normal

This place melted my heart! We were staying at a local hotel who highly recommended The Bears to us during a little well needed family break… it did not disappoint!! The whole place has such a beautiful unique charm, we went in for a bit of lunch before we started our return journey home… and I went in to look at the cakes, but was blown away by all of the interesting gorgeous items that fill the place! If I didn’t have a train to catch, I’d probably still be looking around! My son, who is visually impaired, has high functioning autism and ADHD was looking around in wonder - the young lady who was waiting the tables was so beautifully patient and kind toward him and helped explain every item without batting an eyelid! He chose such a fantastic cool money box to bring home, and I also found some really unique items myself ❤️ We ordered some food which was amazing!!! I highly recommend the Cumberland sausage sandwich - it was next level!! The prices are brilliant for the amount you get and the quality!! Unbeatable! We then met the lovely Peter who was so cheerful and accommodating to us all, including our little dachshund… we all felt so relaxed and welcome 😊 nothing was too much trouble or stress! Our only negative is that we didn’t find this gem sooner - we all agreed that we will be returning again to tankerton, especially to The Bears! If you truly appreciate a place that is built with love, has so much charm and uniqueness, delicious food, lovely staff, and a nice unusual souvenir to take home on top - then this place is perfect for you!! Really lovely and quirky tea and toy shop styled like a log cabin. We had the afternoon tea which you had to pre-book, it was absolutely fabulous. So much food!! Combination of hot and cold savoury and a great selection of delicious naughty cakes all hand made. Really lovely staff and dog friendly 😊

The opening hours are convenient—7 AM on weekdays and even earlier at 6:30 AM on Sundays- making it ideal for early risers. A nice bonus is the outdoor seating area, where you can enjoy your coffee and pastry in the fresh air. The staff is friendly and professional, adding to the pleasant experience. The only downside is the early closing time (4 PM) which might not suit everyone. However, what really stood out (and not in a good way) was a shocking poster on the door- it was quite off-putting, especially for families with children. Despite this, the bakery remains a solid choice thanks to its quality products, coffee, and outdoor seating. 4/5 stars- just consider removing that poster!

If you’re a toastie lover, defo come here to try theirs. The sourdough toasties are perfectly crisp packed with oozing hot cheese. Being a toastie lover was my main reason for coming, but there’s loads of options on the menus. There’s delicious cakes to eat as well.

I ordered a cake as a surprise for my MIL’s 60th. Having never ordered a cake before, I had messed up a few options but Danielle was quick to fix my mistakes and made the most beautiful (and tasty!!) carrot cake. The cake was gone within minutes, and was definitely the wow factor at our party. I have recommended to friends and family and will continue to do so. Will definitely be back for any future events! Even given helpful instructions on how to store and cut the cake🙏🏼

One of my favourite places to visit.. The menu is varied and changes regularly. Delicious food always. Biggest problem is deciding what to have! Took home a tiramisu last week and it was AMAZING! Every time I go I try something new, not something that usually happens when you’ve got coeliac disease! Also a shout out to whoever does the playlists, really nice tunes and atmosphere. Açai bowl is 10/10.

Very cool spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The food and drinks are lovely. We tried a bunch of stuff and everything was great. Lots of options for dietary requirements as well. We live half hour away but came back the week after to try some more items and it won't be the last time, that's for sure!

Great place for breakfast, coffee & cake or casual lunch. Great that all the options have a gluten free choice. Has a great feel & friendly staff. It’s quite rough & ready with in door seating in a small barn with canvas sides but I liked its simplicity. Cakes are really good & as having recently found I have to be more careful about gluten this is a real treat.

Waffle and nahos were not bad considering value for money, compared to other places of this type here it was not too bad. the waffle was crispy and not very sweet, which is unfortunately a problem for similar places, I don't know why it is believed that the more sugar the better. However, you can balance the amount of sugar to make the dessert delicious. as I mentioned it was crispy but unfortunately cold. One thing is for sure, I liked it better than in Kaspa's.

Came here at 9:30pm a few weeks ago and they turned us away as they were closing. Came again today this time at 8PM and looks like they've been closed for a long time. Absolutely terrible, it's as if they don't want to be successful. I understand why they have such poor reviews.

Clean, tidy and the girl that served us was friendly. Nobody approached us when we walked in and when a young guy did, he just walked off with no direction of where we should sit. We sat where we chose and he bought over menu’s and muttered about table number and ordering at till. The food was nice and presentable like menu images but it took a very long time especially that we were only people there. All members of staff were instead talking behind counter. Music choice was something that you would have on a tutorial video and not great whilst trying to chat/eat.

We visited here a few weeks ago. It is a very big dessert place and they have had to shut the top level due to covid I believe. The person who served us was the only one and it seemed to get very busy suddenly and they look like they were struggling. Had to also ask for they toilet key for a disabled toilet. I don't understand this because we are not at the height of pandemic anymore. Would visit again soon.

Visited Cocoba and tried their iced signature mocha — it was a treat! The drink had a rich coffee depth, balanced perfectly with smooth chocolate. What made it special were the fine chocolate shavings mixed into the drink. As you sipped through the straw, they’d melt in your mouth, adding a lovely texture and richness. Customer service was excellent — warm, friendly, and they even offered complimentary truffles to sample. I’ve given 4 stars only because I tried just one item, but based on this, I’ll definitely be back to explore more. A must-visit for any chocolate or coffee fan!

Certainly one of the best coffee shops in Bluewater! Good coffee. Excellent food - much better quality than the competition, and lots more choice - you can have chips with anything. All served to our table and some lovely - free of charge - chocolate truffles to finish with. Staff are professional, happy and courteous. Fabulous! Can't wait to go back

I stopped in for an iced vanilla latte and had such a great experience thanks to the barista (i believe her name was Sofia)! She was super friendly, welcoming and clearly took pride in making my drink. The latte was perfectly balanced, smooth, refreshing and not too sweet. It’s always nice when someone adds a little positivity to your day along with great coffee. I’ll definitely be coming back!

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. I went yesterday and ordered a tuna and cucumber baguette. I knew when I was eating it something was off tasting but I thought maybe it was just me being paranoid. I only ate around half of it. Anyways long story short around 13 hours later I have been none stop throwing up and other negative toilet experiences. Safe to say I have the worst food poisoning I have ever had. The drinks here are great but do not touch the savoury food.

AVOID! I used to love this place but they seem to have had a change in ownership. Since then the service has declined and the orders are subpar. Here are some examples of food that is just not what I’d expect. A waffle without a back. A strawberry waffle with virtually no strawberry. A fruit waffle with hardly any fruit.

Went here today and what a disappointment. It seems to have had a change of ownership and how the standards have gone down. Both the staff looked miserable. The gelato was so watery and not creamy like it should be and was tasteless. The previous people that were here were Italian ans they made the gelato spot on. I wanted a pancake with my gelato only to be told they had run out of which has never happened with the previous owners and I got a feeling that it wasn't the whole truth as got the feeling they couldn't be bothered. My boyfriend asked for a refund which they begrudgingly gave him, as he didn't like the gelato and had only one spponful wh8ch was enough for him, he is from Sicily so knows how gelato should taste like and it wasn't what we was given today. Also £15 for two pots of tiny scoops of ice cream. Very expensive compared to other places. We won't be back!!

I recently visited from Canada to the UK and was thoroughly impressed by the cake display at your establishment. The Oreo cookie dough and tropical chimney cake were standout desserts for me. Must try and must visit Has a wide range of menu for deserts and ice creams, we have tried waffles and Gelato flavours and both were tasty and delicious. A bit high on the price but worth the value for money. The best of the items we had was strawberry cheesecake gelato

We ordered a sundaes, slush boba, and a pistachio brownie! We weren't very satisfied with the brownies, however the boba slush was very refreshing and not too sweet. The sundae was amazing and a perfect portion! The place is very clean and organised and my first trip to Kaspas was one to remember, other than the brownie of course! 🤣

Its quite pricey although tastey, we were £65. The kids waffle is great and was really nice. The cinnabites definitely needed more cinnamon. The cookie dough and chocolate sundae was lovely. Chocolate bar milkshakes are lovely and so was the mango smoothie. We originally visited here in 2021 with my young daughters and brought them back before our next trip to france. Not an all the time place but definitely great for a treat. Staff were polite and the shop was clean.

I had a trainee server who was very professional and welcoming. Great variety of deserts to choose from. I had the banoffee sundae and it was delicious. I wanted to remove the whipped cream and the servers kindly offered me whipped ice cream in its place.

The worse I have had so far, placed an order over a week ago, for a photo birthday cake. These ppl gave us a simple cake, allowing my partner to leave the cake shop with the simple cake, charged me full price form the birthday photo cake and just gave him an ordinary cake. And then when I called in, the lady said it’s my fault and they did try to call us after we left no apologies

My Mrs ordered me a cake for 1.30pm collection (25/1/24). When I went to collect the cake at 2pm and the cake wasn't even ready and i was told to wait about 20 mins for the cake to be ready as the shop Internet weren't working. I have been a regular customer of egg free cake box Gravesend branch almost from the day one and we get a cake box every month if not definitely every other month ( i just love their cake) and i can tell if the Victoria sponge cake base is FRESH or NOT. On this occasion the Victoria sponge cake wasn't fresh and i have experienced it in past as well where the sponge cake wasn't fresh and must have been couple of days old but i never complained or left a feed back. I MUST SAY I LOVE CAKE BOX and i hope I won't experience the issue again.

Usually we like the cakes from here but this time was a huge disappointment..n felt cheated. We ordered blackforest cake but we were given normal chocolate cake smeared with loads of cream n jam that tasted bad...had to discard most of the cake as the taste was awful. Never buying cakes from here ever again.

Set 3 for £12.50, came with toast. Added black pudding for £1 extra ( two very generous slices I may add). Filter coffee was good. Hash browns could do with being alot crispier as were bit soggy. Bacon was very nice thick cut. All in all very good food. Told the breakfast wrap was very nice. No price on the board. Clean premises with friendly staff. Keep up the good work ✌️❤️

Great cafe with very friendly and helpful staff. Came here for a coffee on a Saturday morning and because it was so cosy and staff were lovely we decided to stay for lunch. Coffees and teas are good and the lunchtime sandwiches are good. Would have preferred a bit more salad in my sandwich and crisps rather than tortillas with sandwiches would be better but bread was fresh and fillings plentiful. I had Brie and cranberry. We shared a brownie and this was fresh and tasty too (although didn’t realise they came warmed up so would have been better if staff had checked we wanted it warmed up). Despite a few criticisms on the food I’ve still given it 5 stars as the (female) staff were so friendly and helpful and happily working - a joy to see. Lovely seating upstairs as well as the tables downstairs.

Not knowing Maiddtone, I asked a guy for an independent cafe for breakfast. He was the window cleaner here! Best breakfast by a mile in months cycling on the road. Lots of variety of food too. Ruby the Duty manager was a perfect host. Only adverse comment was a group of OAP guys talked too loud in a corner; at 0800, it was a bit much

Ordered a pistachio kunafa crepe using deliveroo. It came cold, dry and with out all the pistachio cream. Had the kunafa but without the actual cream it was dry and unpleasant to eat. Tried calling Kaspa’s but they were rude and unhelpful. Expensive. Bad food. Bad customer service. I’ve added pictures showing what it should look like compared to what I got.

Great selection of deserts including gelatos, waffles, donuts and sundaes all at sensible prices. The staff are friendly and courteous and know about their deserts if you need to ask questions. Once seated, simply choose your desert from the menu, order and pay at the counter with your table number and they will bring your food over when it is ready. There's plenty of comfy seating available done up in an American Diner style. A great place for all the family to eat 10/10 :)

me and my friends went here as a celebration but we were very disappointed and unhappy with our service. as part of our order we ordered two drinks. one matcha spanish ice latte which was made poorly and tastes quite frankly rank. i ordered a kinder bueno milkshakes which has a strange taste. one of the workers asked if the milkshake tasted okay and said that his colleague hadnt made it correct and may have added something else to it but didnt say what. in the end they did give us a refund but one of the girls working ( apparently one of the “supervisors”) kept glaring and giving us dirty looks, so just wanted to warn everyone how the service is at this place. very disappointed.

OMG, the choice is overwhelming, They cater for every sweet tooth out there! The restaurant is very clean & spacious, staff are polite, I like the fact that you're seated in a booth which feels nice & private, (especially when you have a husband like mine that eats like a toddler & gets it everywhere)

I’m really disappointed that Kaspa’s only offers two plant-based dessert options – and every time I visit, they never have either available. For those of us with milk allergies or following a vegan diet, it’s frustrating and very limiting. It would be great to see more reliable and inclusive options on the menu.

A great spot for a sweet treat! Kaspas is a fantastic place to visit, especially with kids. The interior is beautiful—black and pink with cosy booths that give it a fun, modern vibe. There’s a wide variety of desserts and milkshakes to choose from, and everything we've tried has always been delicious. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere every time. There’s wheelchair access, which is a big plus, and although the parking lot is small, it's convenient enough. Highly recommend for a family treat or dessert night out!

When first entering this quaint little shop you might not see the smiling face behind the counter because your eyes will be feasting upon a selection of sweet delights - so many to choose from. Maybe we were unlucky , and it’s not the norm , but my husband bought Victoria sponge and red velvet slices for take away on Saturday 3rd May . Both cakes tasted like something you would get from supermarket box cakes . Overly sweet and on the hard side . I have never tasted red velvet with frosty icing ? To my understanding it would normally come with cream cheese . Not in this case , there was a hard frosting layer on the outside and even some going through the cake . Visiting the area and so glad we stopped off here. Great selection of incredible food. Quiches, sausage rolls, paninis, croissants, cakes, cookies, macaroons etc. Milkshakes are beautiful, especially cookie and cream. Best dark chocolate mousse I have ever had!!! The food is exquisite and the staff are exceptional, all lovely, smiley, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this patisserie and we would definitely return if we visit the area again. Thank you!

This is a hidden gem in Sevenoaks. Down the side lane off the high street serves the loveliest French style patisserie and tarts. I order the strawberry tart, decaf Americano and some Madeline cakes to go. A friend order the pineapple cake and it was massive. Coffee was perfect and cakes were a delight! What a joy on a Sunday afternoon!

This café is amazing, all the treats and savoury items are absolutely mouthwatering! The workers and even the customers are friendly and lovely, there are warm themes to it with creative decoration. The food is delicious, worth the price, homemade and fresh, even the jam is homemade. I got a brownie, milkshake and a sausage roll, all having a rich, beautiful taste. The brownie was a delicacy, which was also vegan and gluten free. I recommend this café for everyone who loves both sweet and savoury treats!

Our family is visiting Margate on holiday. My husband and I are always on the hunt for a great cream tea. The scones/clotted cream/jam at Batchelor's was so delicious and beautifully plated! My husband said the coffee was wonderful and the Masala chai was one of the best cups I've had since we lived in Asia! The hospitality was what especially made an impression on us. They are incredibly kind, welcoming and friendly. We wish we lived in Margate where we could return to Batchelor's again and again!

I stopped here for a snack with friends, it was perfect. Tea served in tea pots with another filled with hot water. Amazing selection of cakes, pastries, bread and cakes. Very covid safe, disabled access and toilets, staff very friendly, amazing service and such a relaxing atmosphere. Seating inside and two tables outside. It was a perfect way to refresh after a fabulous cuppa.

Absolutely lovely visit today for our first wedding anniversary, we booked the afternoon tea which was exceptional! Gillian and her team gave us an anniversary card and a bottle to celebrate with! Amazing all round; staff are great, food is great, drinks are great! The best spot in Thanet for sure. I ordered two gluten free cakes for my birthday, and they were the most amazing cakes I've ever had. It becomes clear why they've been in business for over 50 years.

Has a nice and welcoming atmosphere. Staff is nice, helpful and friendly. Meals we had were simple yet a little bland but nice. The desserts we had were very sweet for my liking. But they are beautifully displayed. Recommend for those with a sweet tooth. The idea that everything is made on spot is a lovely touch (bread and desserts).

Ice cream is nothing to write home about. Should be next level as it is an Icecream restaurant. The 'Thick' milkshake is like milk consistency, but it was tasty. The restaurant was hot and muggy, someone needs to turn on the AC! We stood outside, which sucked as all you could smell was the pot smokers!

We had a great time celebrating my daughter’s birthday at Creams. The staff were really patient with all the kids and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The kids loved decorating their own sundaes and waffles. A special shout out to the manager who always had a smile on his face and made sure we had everything we needed in the run up to the party! Been a few times before and loved it but not this time. Beware some of the reviews on here giving 5 star as they look like they’ve been paid for. On Facebook, currently 24 of 26 people do not recommend this place. Staff were unwelcoming. Didn’t even say hello when ordering just waited for me to speak. Food came out slowly: First the child’s ice cream, 5 minutes later my waffle, 10 minutes later the last two cookie doughs. The child’s ice cream served in a small plastic cup was a rip off for £6.95. My waffle was alright. Adult cookie dough was the same size as a child’s and looks absolutely nothing like the menu so we got a refund for that. Then found a large hair in the child’s cookie dough so got a refund for that. The place felt miserable and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s met the end of its time.

Food was disgusting after a long wait and the toilets were even worse. Have complained via email and had no reply for weeks.

We like this creams because its friendly and tables are readily available. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Food always comes quickly and tastes good.

I visited Creams in Rochester and had a very disappointing experience. The manager, Ali, was extremely rude and unprofessional. He shouted at my children and showed completely unacceptable behaviour towards them. This is not how families should be treated in a customer-facing business. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone who expects respectful and friendly service.

Unpleasant Experience at Creams Cafe Rochester Dear Creams Cafe Management, I am writing to share my disappointing experience during my recent visit to your Rochester branch last week. I ordered three items, of which two were served promptly. However, the waffle I ordered did not arrive even after 40 minutes. When I approached the manager to inquire, he stated that there was only one machine available and therefore delays were expected. He then offered me an alternative item, but his attitude quickly turned unprofessional and confrontational. One of the staff members referred to him by the name “Eli.” I found his behavior to be rude and inappropriate, including the use of abusive language in another language. This kind of conduct is unacceptable, especially from someone in a managerial position. I am surprised such an individual has been entrusted with a leadership role and hope you will take appropriate action to ensure a better experience for future customers.

Omg I love there waffles..tastes awesome & they add extra toppings or sauces according to our taste & likings & they charge 1.50£ for it. Prices are reasonable & quality of food is amazing..must try this restaurant.

The worst cookie dough I’ve ever had. It was raw and not cooked, cookie dough is meant to be warmed up and hot when I asked the staff they were very unhelpful . Also not friendly at all defo avoid this place

Its really gone downhill lately. We used to get the loaded fries all the time, loved them. Now all the good options have been removed from the menu; get your bake on, tex Mex, swine and dine. They have been replaced by some less than average options. The portion size has also gone down to less than a third of what is once was, the thiner fry like chips were better than the fatter soggy ones they are now using. All in all I was disappointed 😞

Welcomed in and as it was our first visit explained how to order at the counter and will be brought over to us. The host was friendly and welcoming, a great first impression. Really good portion size and quality, waffles were really nice, boba tea with lychee pearls and really sweet ice cream. The only two downsides was the very loud music, and the journey to the toilets downstairs, considering the loud music it was eerily quite 😅

I was gobsmacked at the lovely service me and my partner and friene received yesterday at this particular Kaspa's. We all know the drill at Kaspa's: yummy dessert at a decent price, with a kooky atmosphere. However, the experience at my local branch (Colchester) is one of lukewarm food and mediocre service. I can happily say that Vic took great care of us and our orders. Food arrived in a timely manner and Vic was outstandingly friendly, helping us with food and area recommendations. The food was great and the waffles arrived piping hot and fresh. I'll be coming back here again! When we arrived there was some wait to get a table. Ordered food and drinks, my Coca Cola drink was the last one last one to arrive 10 minutes and there was not much of an explanation to why it took so long. Tried the Krispy Kreme pistachio doughnuts and… wow. Absolutely delicious! The pistachio flavour is rich but not overpowering, with that signature Krispy Kreme softness that makes every bite melt in your mouth. Atmosphere was flat. Went to the main bit to order my doughnuts with the kids. The guy who was at the counter was just staring into space. I made a comment to which after a couple of minutes registered to him that I was waiting to be served. Then asked for doughnuts to be put into different bags due to allergy. Felt like I was asking for the world. No customer service skills. Don’t get me wrong but if you don’t want to work there find a job that will make you happy. Other than that the doughnuts were yummy.

Only had glaze donuts left on a Saturday and it was far from closing hours. Would have expected a chain to be prepared for weekends. When i tried to order an ice matcha, the member of staff said that there was not much ice left. I asked how much was left. She said 10 cubes. I’m sure that’s more than enough. Don’t think i need that much ice. Then drink was prepared. The vibe is a little flat and not like before. Hope the establishment can prioritise stock levels for busy periods.

After a stroll along the sea path we decided to opt for coffee though with many cafes / coffee shops either shut or closing up Morelli’s staff were still happy to serve plus allow us sit in despite only minutes remaining before their official closing time. The standard Americano & Hot Chocolate were the drinks of choice and no complaints there plus we were allowed to take our time / chat with no staff member clock watching of tapping the counter. (PS 🐶 friendly) Thank you 👏🏻

Why did it take me so long to discover this place?! Amazing coffee! Delicious crepes and more importantly local to Kent. The friendly and welcoming staff is the cream on top! And bought their Kilimanjaro Blend to have at home.

Love this place - Visited Morellis Whitstable this weekend. It has a fab selection of ice creams and desserts, so much choice ! The staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s also dog friendly selling doggy ice cream and has a cute little garden. It’s definitely worth a visit.

I was thrilled to find Morelli’s Ice Cream in Whitstable! I’ve been a fan of their incredible gelato ever since I first tried it in Monte Carlo. This iconic gelato shop has been around since 1907, with its first parlour opening in Broadstairs. I was delighted when they appeared in Harrods ( as far as I have seen they left from there), then in Covent Garden London ( still there) and now to see them in Whitstable was such a pleasant surprise. I had the Sri Lankan coconut and french vanilla, and both were absolutely delicious. If you’re in Whitstable and craving authentic Italian gelato, I highly recommend a visit to Morelli’s!

I found the gelato to be alright, but unfortunately, the unfriendly service detracted from the visit. I was quite surprised when I was told, rather sharply, that I was allowed to trying only one flavor—a rule that was completely new to me, as I've never experienced it at any other shop. I ended up going for the flavour I was not allowed to test and regretted it as it was slightly too sweet.

Best ice cream in Whitstable. Great Mother’s Day treat. Staff were really great. Boy with glasses served us with a smile and brought us out our coffees despite the shop being overwhelmed with only a couple staff members there. Coffee was delicious.

My friend wanted scones after we had lunch. We spent an hour looking for scones in the late afternoon, we were defeated and settled for doughnuts and tea. The doughnuts were meant to be fresh but it didn't seem fresh. I've had freshly made doughnuts before and they were extremely hot and greasy. Regardless, the doughnuts were ok, they were a nice way to end our day trip in Canterbury. If you're in the area and are in need of something sweet, look no further than Maria's Canterbury coffee lounge 😊

Not only did they get the just eat order completely wrong and refused to refund it. A £30 order may I add. They have served me raw chicken which my 1 year old daughter has already consumed. This vile establishment wants to pray that she does not get poorly. I then went into the restaurant in person and was told the chicken was pre cooked, this chicken is raw and slimy, it has a raw texture to it as well as being pink, I also have tummy pains and I consumed this just over an hour ago. Refused my money back, have submitted a complaint to the council. Also noticed when going in person to show them the food that the establishment itself is dirty. Should have read the reviews. EDIT - my daughter has now developed tummy pain and vomiting.

Dropped into Maria's this morning and tried the Ube Brulee Iced Latte. Never tried Ube before. Wow! It was soo good. Delicious coffee with a taste of Creme brulee. Iced cold and perfect for a hot morning, with a good coffee shot. I will be back to try the other flavours soon. They are also doing a Spirulina Macaron Iced Latte and an Iced Matcha Latte. Yum

Extremely rude staff. Overcharged prices. I ordered a Mr Whippy with a flake for my daughter. After paying £5.95 I got surprised and politely asked how much it was. The man refused to answer and told me I had to watch the screen - that rotates menu options and prices for that information. After a whole loop, for no surprise, the price was not available for customers anywhere. I then had to ask him again and explained that the price was not available. After insisting, he was super rude and told me that it cost £5,95. Do not recommend. Look for little vans with Mr whippy around the city, as you would be dealing with nice people and not Overcharged.

I got an ice cream, my partner had a macaron and his mother had a macaron and a coffee. We wandered into this desert shop just before Christmas 2015, after dinner at a nearby restaurant, and had wonderful waffles. I'm not local to Kent, but I'm in the area tomorrow so plan on another visit. The owner was friendly, the décor is a little on the 'nightclub' side (LED lights, dark walls and mirrors) and could do with toning down a bit and it was a slightly longer wait for the food than I would have expected, but on the whole it was a nice find to come across a dessert shop such as this. We need a few more similar establishments!

Only leaving 1 star because I have too! Absolutely disgusted with the service; well over an hour LATE- then for the driver to turn up with nasty attitude raising his voice, demanding money for food where the sauce had exploded in the boxes, icecream melted and crepes stone cold. He passed me onto his manager over his phone, as I couldn’t get through (after literally being on the phone less than minute beforehand) who then said “pay us and we will go”, whilst the driver was trying to shout at my boyfriend. They offered to then send out another with another hours wait and still wanted to charge us £5 on top. Yet this isn’t even the first time the service has been awful; last time- my brother fell ill after drinking GONE OFF MILK! Appalling!

just read bad comments... if they start shouting at you or getting aggressive in public and that made you feel threatened.. report it! They gave you bad service and forced you to pay for their bad service or they would not leave... sounds more like a robbery than a delivery. You should have said "ok.. I will call the police" if they refuse to leave.. as long as you give the food back too .. which you did... they were in the wrong and should give you a free meal and free delivery for their terrible conduct... I will give them a miss from now on.

Hmm, waffle was not freshly made - tasted like it was from a multipack - no crunch to it at all. Caramel was, again, not real caramel but brown stuff squeezed from a plastic bottle. Slightly strange atmosphere, seems to be trying to be a club. Nice idea to have a waffle house, but poorly executed.

Tasty fresh tasting ice cream with a great rotating roster of flavours, they're also open late for your evening ice cream cravings. Good price too for tubs or a range of cones.

This is a definite go to place in Margate. It's Margate's best cafe with a huge selection of pastries and cakes and Baklava. Coffee is very good. Prices are very reasonable and service is good. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

The best bakery/coffee shop in the area. Plenty room for families and prams. We were very pleased on how nice and friendly the staff was with us. Huge selection of cakes and desserts, super affordable, they also have ice cream scoops and good coffee. Toilet is clean and spacious. We will come back, for sure.

Ok new favourite place ever! As someone who is besotted with all things Greek and has been learning the language for almost a year, to find something like this which feels so authentic here in Kent is a dream. The service was absolutely representative of true Greek hospitality, the food was absolutely delicious and it was just such a nice atmosphere with the music, great seating etc in such a great location! Have already decided to come back Saturday evening for some spinach pie 😜 Ευχαριστώ!!! ❤️

Fun at the Farm! 🚜🌾🐛 The highlight was definitely the tractor ride through the fields. The maize maze was a cool challenge too! And the ice cream. Huge, delicious and the perfect way to cool down after a day of adventure. We absolutely loved it! Highly recommend for a day out!

Lovely 20 minute walk from where we were staying along the public footpaths through fields. We had a lovely full English Breakfast in the little Cafe which was excellent value for money. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic place for all ages . Stopped for cup of tea in Ice Cream Parlour whilst husband and grandson went on a tractor ride around farm and beyond. Thoroughly enjoyed walking through the maze of maize got lost a couple of times but great fun . Had to answer questions correctly to guide you through. Grandson found all the pictures of the missing cows and was rewarded with a lollipop. Ice cream wow!!! Outstanding best I have ever tasted , tried coconut and added scoop of banana delicious. Wonderful experience , staff were excellent and place was very clean . So pleased we were able to visit the farm again this year obviously due to Covid-19 circumstances have changed at the farm . Great care has been taken to Keep us all safe sitting area is now away from parlour and on camping site . Tractor rides this only for people in a bubble still made no difference we had a great time with our family and grandchildren. Coffee was hot and creamy while we were waiting for lady tractor driver to arrive . To end our trip visit to the parlour and walk though the maize . Visited the farm for the last time this year good excuse to buy a delicious ice cream 🍨 We will be back in the new year

Excellent ice cream, nice fried breakfast. Visit this establishment. Value proposition Excellent, £8 currently for most of the sundaes on their menu. All large enough to leave you feeling bloated, uncomfortable and slightly sorry for your colon having just stuffed that much dairy into yourself. I enjoyed it immensely. Dog friendly, I don't have one at the moment but that's always nice to see. Staff/owners all pleasant and tolerant of my foibles. Take cash for a tip as they, at this point, don't have the option to take gratuities from card payments.

Visited several times now. Ice cream is lush. Tubs to take away so bring your cool box. Good general cafe menu. Campsite with good showers, several walks to do across the fields. 2 pubs in walking distance though the Solleys pub is open Friday Sat Sunday, just fizzy draught beer ATM, we gave guidance on the size of head, a hand pump is installed ready for the good stuff!

Great day out with the kids! Ice cream parlour/cafe, air field to see mini aircraft, maize maze, pub with outdoor seating and a great country walk. Such a nice time. Oh, and a camp site/ caravans too!

Private event tonight, we have been put right next to the bar and supposed to close at 20.00 but now 21.20 and bar still open with very loud and rather drunk adults. For a supposed camping and caravan club site I do not think it's worthy of this as nothing like the usual camping and caravan sites we have stayed at. None of the usual information given on arrival or in any areas, what to do in emergency, local hospitals, keep noise down, taxi service etc. We were not asked on booking if we were camping and caravan members so did not get our discount, also age concessions. Any one visiting with young children I would advise to check if any events going on when booking so the children do not hear such dreadful language or unable to sleep. Won't be revisting.

Place was completely empty when I entered (12:15 Friday lunchtime), temperature outside was 25 degrees plus. The service was quick and efficient prices were reasonable and the quality was good. So why the absence of customers ? 🤔 Update: 11/09/2022 Sunday afternoon 17:45pm and a party of 4 people walked in just before us, but apart from them we were the only others in the place 🤔 Good selection on offer and a quick & efficient service. They do home delivery too ! 😃

This is becoming a joke. Its my second time ordering make your own cookie dough and I've got almost nothing in the container. The portions are getting smaller and smaller each time. To pay £12.59 for a portion that wouldn't satisfy a 2 year old is nothing more than disgusting. Kaspa lost another client.

I've been with my family and another friends (including 3 children). We asked staff to clean a table so we could sit, but were told they had no time and the staff member treat us with disrespect.(even if the place was completely empty)This was very upsetting and made us feel unwelcome.We cleaned the table instead of them and they looked annoyed about that.We definitely won't come back!!!

Very Disappointing Experience We came to Kaspa’s for a family treat, but the visit quickly turned sour. The staff were rude and treated us very differently from other customers, who seemed to get much friendlier service. What upset me the most was when one of the staff shouted at my children for simply being a little excited. It was completely uncalled for and left us all feeling uncomfortable. Definitely won’t be coming back. A place that’s meant for families should know how to treat them with respect.

We had a family dinner with our three kids, but the experience was marred by the staff's inconsistent behavior. When our two older kids were playing, the waitresses yelled at them to stop running and be quiet. Later, when our baby started playing on the table, they scolded us again. To make matters worse, half of the menu items were unavailable. What was most frustrating was the staff's differing treatment of us versus other customers, who were even sleeping at their table. Despite the delicious food, the staff's rudeness overshadowed our experience.

I went to The Lane Bakery last week for their cake decorating masterclass. I had that much fun that I have booked another class for next month so they can show me more of their knowledge! They prepare the sponge of your choice in advance for you so that you can then crack on with doing the fun part of decorating. We had Anna and Amy on hand to teach us anything that we wanted to know. It was a good giggle, relaxed vibe, and best of all you got to take your creation home to share it with your family/friends. 10/10 would recommend!

I attended the bakery workshop to learn how to decorate a cake. It was so much fun and very informative. Lots of top tips and knowledge shared with great demonstrations and hands on help. Anna and Amy were amazing hosts and it was a positive vibe all night. My friend and I left very happy with our fancy cakes and are looking forward to a Christmas cake decorating class soon!

Third cake I’ve ordered and this time we are a bit disappointed. The cake tasted good, but decoration wasn’t great. The drip wasn’t all the way round or even in spacing. There were finger print marks present when I collected. The icing is patchy in places.

My daughter and I did the cake decorating workshop and we absolutely loved it. The team were very kind, helpful, and funny. We had a lot of fun and to top it off we got to take some yummy cakes home!

World's greatest Brownie alert! Honestly nothing and nowhere compares. I also love their cakes and cookies too. Something for everyone! My husband very much appreciates their sausage rolls! . Standard and quality is always consistent and outstanding. The team at the Bakery will always bring a warm welcome. Prices are reasonable, fair and reflective of the quantity and quality. Last year The Lane did my wedding cake as we really wanted one from somewhere local. Initially I wasn’t sure they’d be up for it as we wanted something stylized with squiggles and flowers - straight from Pinterest rather than something I’d seen the bakery had done before. Even with a change of staff however they smashed it. I’d say their flavours and techniques are pretty classic but they were very open to all of our suggestions and ideas. They delivered it to our venue and set it up, and we did a few matching vegan cupcakes too. Overall very pleased and hassle free, and now I see just how hard they work to gain and keep customers as a local I want to try and support them as much as I can (although I don’t purchase very often because my waistline would not thank me) My dad is also dairy free and we got him a tray of cupcakes for his birthday, and he said it was some of the best cake he’d had since only having vegan cakes.

I ordered a celebration cake, vegan cupcakes and the baked cheesecake for my Dad’s surprise birthday. They all looked amazing and tasted even better. The Lane worked with my theme colours and the birthday boy was really spoiled! Thank you

Lovely ice creams from a local producer. Run by a very friendly couple. They seem to stay open extra late if the sun is shining on summer evenings. They also seem to have an ever-changing range of flavours. Quality ice cream with a smile :)

What a find! Friendly and welcoming reception from the owners and quite simply the best ice cream I've tasted outside Italy. It's a pity they are not open during the winter - but we'll be returning when they open during February 2019 half term.

Lovely ice creams. We stopped by and got an ice cream after being at the amusement park. I had triple chocolate ice cream and it was well nice, my mum had a greek yoghurt ice cream, that was nice too and my dad had salted caramel and that was nice. Its a good ice cream shop.

Stopped by here on a visit to the town. Wish I lived closer! The apple and blackberry crumble cake was out of this world. The buns were fresh and fluffy, genuinely incredibly impressive baking.

Oh my goodness, how kind are the staff here. I'm gluten free and unfortunately they didn't have any gluten free bread. I enquired about baked beans and unfortunately they didnt have any of these either, so went to the shop to buy some. How kind is that. Very much appreciated.

Barrows recently supplied an order of party platters for a surprise birthday, this was the first order I have ever placed with them. Food was amazingly good!! The team were really accomodating with the order, very helpful and couldn't fault them. Will be using again for sure. Big Thank you to the team!

It’s a more traditional bakers the chicken balti pie was super tasty nice pastry with lots of filling and the fresh cream cakes just hit the spot will be back very soon for more pies and cakes

It's such a lovely place to go to. Staff are so friendly. Coffee is really nice! The selection of cakes is a bit lethal as I'd happily have one of everything!!! Great choices of savoury items as well. So, whether you're in a rush and grab a treat hot or cold. Or sit in the cafe for coffee (also have a good selection of hot drinks). I would say this is one of my favourite places, and getting into town is worth it 😊

The place is really nice and tidy. It was also a nice surprise to find there is a gluten-free cone too! We went there for the review, but I did not like the taste very much as it was very sugary with dairy taste but not much of the favour that we ordered.

First time buying here, pretty shop. I tried hazelnut and pretzel chocolate. Very slow service and ice-cream is not on par in quality to many other gelaterias. Hazelnut had a strange texture to it. Wouldn't try again unless the place improved.

Went for the first time on a Tuesday evening at about 7:30pm with my partner and dog after a long day on the beach. We both had a cup with two scoops/flavours, coconut and pistachio for me and he has coconut and blueberry swirl. Absolutely some of the best gelato ever! The girls working there were super helpful! I also had an Americano w/milk and he had a cappaciono, was impressed by the flavour of the coffee! Our dog tried the gelato as well and approved. Great location along the beach just slightly tucked back away, nice comfortable patio area for eating in. I'll go back for sure next time I'm in Whitstable!

Stunning pistachio gelato. There’s a courtyard which is a sun trap to sit in and enjoy their rich and strong coffee.

We ordered two cups of ice cream and both flavours were very disappointing. The coffee flavour tasted powdery and bland, the mango and passion fruit sorbet was rather flavorless.

Excellent service and lovely flavours. This is high quality ice cream not easily found in small town England. It’s also VERY affordable, with an extensive range of sizes.

Fantastic freshly made ice creams and sorbets. You might have to queue but it's worth it. Guard your ice cream with your life when you walk out as the seagulls love the ice-cream too and they'll smash it out of your hand to get it!

Massimo's is definitely the best gelato in Folkestone - great quality and a lot of choice. The flavours range from classic and simple to some interesting surprises like carrot + orange or licorice, for the adventurous. From the richer flavours the pistachio, hazelnut and milk chocolate are fantastic. There's a big sorbet range too - raspberry and pineapple are my personal favourites, really refreshing. What I'm missing is a good yoghurt flavour, I hope they add it to the range soon 🎈

Super delicious gelato, very good quality. The pistachio one tastes rich and nutty, and this lemon curd crunch flavour was really lemony. Overall the texture was smooth and very soft. I had been missing Italian gelato for so long and I could taste it finally in this town!!

Amazing place, fantastic variety of different flavours, surprisingly low prices comparing to other places. Be prepared to become a part of a long queue But it’s definitely worth it!

Came here for a morning coffee but was greeted with an amazing selection of baking. I went for the pistachio croissant and ice caramel latte. The pistachio croissant was huge!! Had to share it, although could have had 3 of them because it was so delicious. The pistachio wasn’t over powering and not too sweet, it was in the Goldilocks zone. The actual croissant was soft and flakey. The Caramel ice latte paired well with the croissant. The latte itself wasn’t too sweet either and the flavour of the coffee was not over powered. It was refreshing just what I needed for a warm Saturday morning. They have any thing from cakes to pies. It’s a lovely place well decorated and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this place!

Lovely little greek cafe, feels like an old Greek cafe, I should know, I'm Greek! Great coffee, pies like home and the added bonus of excellent traditional cakes too!! Little outside seating. Love it! They also sell some basic biscuits, chocolates and crisps!!!!

very beautiful interior. however i should’ve known not to expect good quality food from a place that prioritises its appearance. i ordered an iced chai latte, expecting a chai latte and ice cubes in a cup, not a whole chai frappe. the drink tasted of just milk and cinnamon flavouring - not chai. also, the iced white chocolate mocha tasted just like milk, nothing more nothing less. quite disappointing. the staff also went on about “our frappes are not like other frappes..” then don’t label it a frappe on your menu? label your food as what it is.

UPDATE: 20 JUNE 2025 Just popped into Amalis for a spot of lunch and noticed the ice cream display by the door. Obviously, I had to try one and it was AMAZING! All of the ice creams are homemade in house and are beautifully presented. I tried the strawberry ice cream, made with strawberries (!) and it was one of the best ice creams I've ever had. I would highly recommend stopping off here on a hot day for a tasty cooling treat 😀. Amalis is a lovely café, situated on Upper Bridge Street, opposite Burgate in Canterbury. Stopped for lunch and had an amazing filo chicken pie and coffee. Tasted great and a lovely coffee too. I would highly recommend the short trip out of the city centre to this absolute gem. Check out the cakes 🤩

Such a lovely find in Margate! This little Ice Cream Bar feels like stepping back in time—in the best way. The retro vibe, old-school posters, vintage jukebox, and pastel decor give it so much charm. It’s not just a place for a sweet treat, it’s a full nostalgic experience. The ice cream? Absolutely delicious. We had the classic vanilla with visible vanilla bean specks—creamy, rich, and homemade. You can really taste the quality. They have a great selection of flavours, and everything is clearly made with care. Perfect stop with kids or just for yourself after a seaside walk. Ramsay and Williams Ice Cream Bar is a must-visit in Margate with a fantastic variety of ice cream flavors to choose from. We tried the chocolate, which was absolutely fantastic—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Each scoop comes with their trademark wafer, adding a perfect crunch to every bite. A delightful treat by the seaside!

So creamy and satisfying! One of the best ice creams I’ve had. I had a half Ginger and Marmalade and a half mint chocolate chips. So yummy!

There was a very long queue and although it was busy, there was one particular member of staff there who did nothing. You tell her what she wants, she then tells the lady to scoop it! Why can’t they both serve customers and ask what they would like and then scoop it. Weird I thought. Ice cream was delicious, the strawberry one was the best. £3.30 for one scoop……… was worth it but I couldn’t visit all the time

Absolutely loved the matcha and blueberry gelato – such a fresh and delicious combo! The ice cream was creamy and flavourful, and the presentation was beautiful too (bonus points for the Lulu’s cookie on top!). The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Only downside: it was very hot inside and there was no outdoor seating available at the time, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, a lovely spot for a sweet treat in Margate!

One of the best tasting wafers I’ve had. The gelato was also of a good standard. I personally sampled the Fior Di Latte (which is the based to all their other flavours) and the Lemon Curd and enjoyed them both. My only qualm was that the gelato I got wasn’t super smooth, and I found a couple of lumps.

Been here a few times over the summer - staff are always very friendly and patient (ice cream indecision always causes delays!). We were served by Harry, who gladly let my niece try a couple of flavours until she was happy (she finally went with White Kinder Bueno - really good), and then made an excellent coffee. No notes - nicest ice cream in Margate with wonderful staff to boot.

Lulu's has some of the best gelato I've ever tried! Recently had their rhubarb flavour which was absolutely delicious. Their range of vegan options is also impressive and makes it a great place to visit with all the family. Their staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Rosie and Harry. A must visit in Margate!

Absolutely stunning gelato! Just got back from Italy and Lulu’s gelato is literally just as good. Gelato ice cream and iced coffee by the sea in the Sun was absolutely incredible. Delicious and beautifully served by warm and friendly staff. As a local, Lulu’s is a Margate top hit list!

Sundae on a Sunday evening. We tried the Chocolate Mint and the Lotus Biscof and both were truely yummy. The store is clean, service friendly and a great location.

There was a queue out the door for a reason and it was worth the short wait. The staff are very friendly and efficient , I had two scoops because you know. Mint choc chip and honeycomb crunch served this weekend with a jubilee wafer 😍. Big scoops, great flavour and lots of choice. Loved it! What can I say, my family eat a plant-based diet and we love ice cream. My very good friend knowing all of this made sure to take us to Scoops for dessert on our day-trip to Herne Bay. We live in London, and assumed that we had experienced a great variety of vegan ice cream options already - we were wrong. Scoops offered at least half a dozen vegan ice cream options, plus a further 3 or 4 Sorbet options - we were in shock. Usually you rock up to an ice cream parlour and the best they can offer is a vegan Magnum and/or a lemon Sorbet (yes, I'm looking at you Morelli's). But Scoops was phenomenal. And imagine our suprise when we discovered another one in Whitstable 😃. Thank you for catering so well for different dietary requirements, we will definitely be back!

Tried Scoops for ice cream - very popular - usually has a queue (no wonder coz the ice creams were delicious and good selection) could also get sundaes and milkshakes. Wish we could have visited there every day!!!

Friendly service and a huge selection of ice creams and milkshakes. Nom nom nom. If the weather is decent, they are potentially open after the Google opening times.
