The best cookie bakery in the city. Plus, the nice lady gave me some free cookies because I complimented her yellow oven. It’s a beautiful oven (and delicious cookies).

If you want to remember your childhood and your mother's/grandmother's cookies, then this is the perfect place! Delicious and varied cookies, too bad they didn't display the name of each one, to make it easier when ordering (for us tourists). A few blocks away we discovered another bakery, where they serve other types of Italian cookies (cannoli, maritozzo, tiramisu).

We came here during a local food tour and sampled several biscotti, each delicious and delightful

Good experience…..I tried 10 different types of biscuits…..each one with a very distinctive taste….also price very fair (4-5 EUR).

Food weighed per KG rather than individual pricing makes buying from here nice and easy. The biscotti that they sell are delicious, I would highly recommend trying one of each of what they sell. It is not going to cost a lot as they are mostly small bites. We bought from here then had the pleasure of having more from our Eating Europe Rome food tour.

The baked goods are fresh and delicious. I would walk here every morning when in rome and pick up my cornetos, or whatever other baked goods, I want it and just buy my cappuccino from a nice bar. The cornetos from the bars are never fresh. But this place is just amazing. It is worth the walk.

Great family bakery in Trestavare. Bought a variety of cookies and they were all delicious. Tried to get some more to bring back to US, but they had already closed. Don't miss this place!

This is truly the best maritozzo in Rome. The bun is light, the cream has a lemon zest that balances everything beautifully, and the dessert isn’t overly sweet, which I see as a huge plus. In addition, the wild berry pâtissier was excellent, and I also tasted the cake with vanilla cream and chocolate crisps — it was a real celebration.

If you also like Italian cream buns, then you absolutely cannot miss this bakery. In addition to being able to choose large or small cream buns, it also offers a variety of different styles of pastries made with cream and ordinary bread. In addition, the shop is actually composed of a main bakery and a coffee shop. If you only want cream buns, you can go directly to the coffee shop to place an order and buy the coffee you want. But if you want to take away or choose other styles of pastries, you can only buy them in the bakery first and then go to the coffee shop to choose your favorite coffee. In short, this is also a must-try bakery in Rome.

Stopped at Regoli Pasticceria to try the Maritozzi, and it was definitely worth the short wait in line. Service was quick and friendly, and the pastry was fresh, fluffy, and delicious. There are plenty of other tempting options in the bakery too. Would definitely come back and recommend- so tasty!

Worth the visit. Great service. Delicious pastries. This spot was a 10min walk from my hotel and I stumbled into it one morning looking for a caffe. Ended up eating a cannoli and taking some pastries to go. The Sfogliatella was delicious, it had 2 different types of stuffing, the main being the traditional style semolina creamed mixture as well as a cannoli ricotta style. The ricotta style didn’t not have the same taste as you would except, it was creamer. Different from what I am use to but delicious!

This was my first time trying the famous marritozzo from Regoli, and it didn’t disappoint. The brioche bun was very airy and fluffy, with a slight lemon zest to it, which I enjoyed. The whipped cream was also very light and delicious, as it wasn’t too sweet. I wouldn’t go out of the way, if you’re only in Rome for a short visit, but do recommend if you’re nearby the establishment.

The fagottini di ricotta is (no exaggeration) the best pastry I’ve had in my life! Highly recommend that one, and the wild strawberry tart is very good too. The maritozzi and cannoli were just okay in my opinion, but they seem to be really popular. Went here 2 days in a row, once at 8am and another at 10am. There was no queue at 8am but at 10am I had to wait around half an hour, so definitely try to go early.

Delicious and beautiful pastries, be prepared to wait in line and be ready to point if you don't know Italian. They were very helpful and kind to us even with a language barrier, the cream puff pastries were to die for, and the fruit tart was super fresh. Would certainly come back!!

Ice cream was very delicious, they have very original flavour. My favourite was straticiella (hope I could write it correct) Chocolate were also delicious, the one with biscuits and the one with almond were our favourites

She greeted me with a warm smile, was incredibly friendly, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. Her customer service went above and beyond — she was patient, helpful, and genuinely cared about making sure I found the perfect flavor. Not only was the gelato delicious, but the service from Francesca made it even better. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!

This is some of the best gelato in Rome but it is quite pricey in comparison to some equally good and less popular gelaterias! We tried the pistachio (the best of the flavours we tried), vanilla, fig (also great) and coffee. One thing you have to try is getting your cone coated in melted chocolate and dipped in crunchy nougatine pieces before they add the gelato - absolutely delicious! Their chocolate, however, is second to none. Truly the best quality and an amazing range of flavours and varieties. I recommend anything they make with pistachio, the golden caramel flavour and the white chocolate with salted nuts.

The best ice cream ever! Their seasonal flavors, like olive oil and ricotta cheese, are absolutely amazing. This is my favorite ice cream shop!

Venchi Pantheon is a delightful chocolate and gelato shop located just a few steps behind the Pantheon. The gelato flavors truly explode in your mouth, leaving you wanting more. It was my first time trying olive oil gelato, and I can assure you it was absolutely amazing. If you’re visiting Rome, it’s definitely worth stopping by!

Must try their crepe and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is thick, creamy and dark. The gelato is unmissable. Reasonably priced compared to local gelaterias

Tasty and creamy? That’s what you get at Venchi. Their gelato was so soft to the taste and flavourful. And their chocolate section was also very good looking

We tried 4 items: Tiramisu Classique, Mont Blanc, Cannoli, and café crema. 1. Tiramisu was good, classic. 2. Mont Blanc was the worst I've had in this life time. This should not be sold, it is disgraceful how bad it was. 3. Cannoli was not good. The filling flavor was off and it was poorly filled. Only the ends had ricotta, the entire center was empty. 4. The café crema was too sweet, not enjoyable. In the 14 days I've been in Italy, I've been in Venice, Florence, Chianti, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, and Rome. This place was the worst and the only place I felt like my money was wasted. Do not go here.

We come here with friends sometimes, mostly for the tiramisu. Even though you can find better tiramisu in Rome, this location has a nice atmosphere and it’s a good place to sit. The classic tiramisu is good enough and well-balanced. We also tried the gelato once, but it felt too touristy and colorful, not really my taste. Service is average. They ask for payment at the table before the dessert arrives. We ordered tea with it, which went really well. Parking is a big problem around here, since it’s close to Re di Roma square and the area is always busy. Still, it’s a nice spot to meet up and chat and don’t expect high quality

Definitely recommend to visit Pompi in via Albalonga! This location is a sit-down place with service. We visited twice during our short stay in Rome. The selection of cakes is great and everything we tried tasted amazing. The staff was very friendly and even remembered us :)

Some staff are nice but the rest are not..typical italian customer service. Luckily their tiramisu is above good, otherwise nothing special here. The ambience is okay.

The tiramisu is refreshing and fluffy, croissants are one of the best I've had. The waiters are nice and welcoming, one of them even saved our water bottle when we forgot it so he could give it back to us tomorrow. They are patient and supportive if you try and practice speaking italian with them, especially the guys that work behind the bar!

They have different tastes of tiramisu I tried the the pistachio one. It was good and it was a new taste for me. I liked it, but it wasn’t something that I say I will come to have that one again. But I think it worth trying. The staff were super friendly and professional The cafeteria itself looks good and it’s clean

It was really crowded and they have very few tables. But its all worth the wait, well prepared ans tastes so good. Only issue is that, for coffees its vending machine. Service was quick and the staff was really friendly.

Staff was super nice and spoke excellent English, service was great and it wasn’t noisy and we were able to take a seat inside. We ordered a cinnamon roll and a pain au chocolate. Both were amazing, and fairly cheap for their quality (both €1,80). To drink we had a water, which was nicely cooled, and a biologically pressed pear juice, which is definitely worth trying despite the price tag (€4,80). This place is worth going to!

Very tasty pastry and sandwiches. Perfect for a breakfast. Mini pizza were our favourites and croissants but everything we tried was just great. We ate here in every morning durring our stay in Trastevere. ❤️🩵🩷

French bakery in Rome. The place is not to big, but maybe just enough for the sitting area. The breads were delicious as we expect from French bakery.

Kouign Amann was really buttery and layered, enjoyed it a lot while eating it. Vegan sandwich was nice to but the bread was too rough for a “baguette”. Ambiance is nice but PACKED. Better to grab some coffee and pastry and walk around :) Ps: surprised that they do not have espresso machine and let you grand from a coffee machine, was surprisingly tasty tho.

After glowing reviews of there quiche. I ordered both florantine and veggitable. Maybe vegetables are out of season this early in june but I received an egg and pea quiche. Not exactly bad just not the same veggie quiche that got the rave reviews! Very disappointed. I ordered many other things. They all look consistent with the photos mostly. Some were much smaller and some larger.

A nice spot for Tiramisu lovers in the city. As the name suggests, they offer 100 different types of tiramisu, from the classic to creative and unique flavors. We tried the traditional version along with one of their recommended options with pistachio both were absolutely delicious. The service was fairly quick, and overall it was a great experience. The only downside is that they don’t serve coffee, which would have made the experience perfect. Still, it’s a fantastic place to enjoy one of Italy’s most iconic desserts in many exciting variations.

Great wine, cold cuts and the idea of 100 tiramisu is great. Massive queue for the take away but very easy to get inside and eat in. We just tried the classic tiramisu which was extremely fresh and tasty. Will return to try more!

100 tiramisù flavors sounds like an attempt to the tiramisù but also like a fun experience so I went for the fun of it but kinda expecting a tourist trap. I must say the ones we ordered were really good and great portions. The staff was attentive and kind. They had tables reserved to the cheese and wine tastings but let us sit there so we wouldn’t wait too long. I would recommend this place.

This was one of my favorite dessert places to visit while in Rome. It was very fun to try some different flavors and variations of the traditional tiramisu. I found the dark chocolate/orange was a very good combination along with the dark chocolate/amarena/hazelnut combo. Saw that people were commenting that the tiramisu was sweet, so I went for combos that were not too high on the “sweetness scale”. There was usually a line but the queue went pretty quickly and I never had to wait too long. The staff were also very nice.

This was good. I got their new autumn special with the Biscoff. At first bite it was too sweet, but actually the flavors are well-balanced. In the outdoor seating area there was a girl smoking. Maybe it’s legal in Rome, but that kinda ruined the experience a little.

It is a nice place to get a little sweet for a cheap price. The service is good and fast, although you have to call the waiters all the time you need something (they are not deliberatery come to serve you). The tiramisu is ok, and it has many flavours that you can choose from.

Personally think this was overhyped. The queue was 15-20 mins long. I got a 46 and my wife got the 36. It was ok but nothing amazing. The wife really liked it. Depends on your preferences. If your short on time I would say you can give this a miss. It was 5 euros for one.

Everything was absolutely amazing! The Carbonara was hands down the best we've ever had—just like Vincenzo Prosperi (from Vincenzo's Plate) promised. 😁💜 The Maritozzi were on another level 🤤! We tried the one with codfish, hummus, and radish, as well as the eggplant parmigiana Maritozzo—both were incredible. Our only suggestion to enhance the experience would be to have more staff attending the tables. With just three people covering the dining area, terrace, and billing on a busy Friday night, it felt a bit understaffed. Just to be clear, they were doing their best—the issue stemmed from management.

Came here for lunch which was a great pick! Meatballs were good tho small. Cacio e pepe was amazing a must have. Carbanara was also a must have. Price point to food portion a little off but quality does make up for it.

This place is amazing! We had two delicious pasta dishes. At first there was some mix up with our order, but Nicola fixed it very quickly. The staff is friendly, they let us enter and order before they opened since they saw us waiting. The food was incredible. Highly recommended!

The staff are really nice and can speak english pretty well so just say hey :D you can ask for the store recommendation and they will gladly recommend their best. I loved the Vegetarian carbonara so if you're on a special diet it's very on point and without forgetting getting the fried pizza besides the Maritozzo which is a must in the store i picked the smocked salmon with Creme fresh and it's to die for all in all a great place, hope to come by again

These reviews aren't kidding about the pistachio cornetto - good LORD that's a tasty pastry. Maybe the best I've had during these two weeks in Europe? I dunno, but that thing is straight flames bro.

What a great breakfast this morning! The food was delicious, the price was right, and the orange juice was fantastic. Plus, they have outdoor seating.

Little cafe with outdoor seating. They have the menu in Italian and English. Coffee, pastries, sandwiches etc for sale. Very nice and reasonably priced. At time of writing a cappuccino is €1.50 and their specialty croissants are also €1.50, including the pistachio variety which is nearly as good as the one near the Trevi fountain but half the price! Quiet area and very close to the Vittorio Emanuele metro station. I greatly recommend this cafe.

I stumbled upon this place by accident, but I'm so glad I did! The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, making my experience even better. Given its convenient location right next to my hostel, I'd totally recommend it to others. It's definitely worth checking out!

When we arrived there were no pastries or sandwiches left. It was around 11:30 in the morning. We had options from what was left and croissants felt like they were old. Cappuccino was good

Cheap and quick Italian breakfast. Espresso only £1.20 and Cornetto is £1.20. one of the few places open early in the morning, so a good choice for a quick and good breakfast to and from Roma Termini

The area is very crowded and noisy. They don’t have many alternative milk options (only soy). I got an Americano, croissant, and a lemon cake…everything was 5/10. The staff is very very nice tho.

Beautiful store/cafe with nice history to it. Went in to get some chocolates and ended up sitting in for a trio chocolate cappuccino which was amazing such a cool experience and the coffee and chocolate itself was very tasty. The chocolatier section was very good a lovely lady served us and was kind enough to explain what each chocolate was, there was a large variety of many flavours to choose from. Very reasonable pricing all around. Definitely make this a place to visit if you're in the area!

The Saint Sebastian cake was delicious and generously portioned for two people. However, it’s slightly overpriced.

Warm ambiance, friendly and knowledgeable people with the star of the place...the chocolate! What an amazing place. There are so many things to try, it'll make your head spin, but in a good way. High quality chocolate with creative approaches leaves you with a decadent sense of flavor. Must try. Must return if possible...a given. What a great experience in both service and taste!

Where do I even start with this post.. if you are in Rome and you love chocolate, please visit. The chocolate beverages are really beyond my expectations. The small dessert bites/ cake are ok, not the best. Took away a slice of chocolate cake not overly sweet so it was perfect. Service was excellent! Staff were friendly and attentive despite being busy. The place fills up rather quickly so be prepared to wait.

Amazing and nice staff, great atmosphere, chocolate out of this world. Google says you need to reserve a place but thats not true, just go there like any other coffee house. very recommended to sit down.

You have to try their restaurant. In the description it says a chocolate factory but I think more than that their food is amazing! Dishes are well designed and customized with their amazing housemade chocolates.

There is something not quite right about the pistachio cannolo. The pastry that encases the filling curves in quickly from the middle, clearly too little pastry relative to the amount of filling, and the filling was very underwhelming - not quite sure how best to describe it but it was thin and not as creamy as past cannoli I’ve had - like very diluted ricotta cheese filling. It was also evident when some filling got onto the paper, you can see how translucent it is. True cannolo filling will be thick, and creamy, not translucent. Regretted getting the large one. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t come back again. But if you really want a cannolo in Rome, perhaps best to get a small one to sample first.

We discovered this lovely little café near our hotel in Rome, and it quickly became our go-to breakfast spot every morning. The ricotta-filled cornetto was absolutely incredible. I still think about it and can’t wait to have it again on my next visit! We also enjoyed their cannoli and coffee, which were both really good. A good try, they're most known for their cannoli, so we were set on ordering it. I never had a cannoli, so I was glad to give them a try here. They have a limited seating area but I was able to snag a free table. We got three small cannolis to share: ricotta, limone, and pistachio. We enjoyed the limone the most, followed by the ricotta. Whenever in Rome I always come to this little pastry shop, as I love cannoli and they have several sweets which are worth trying. You order at the counter, pay, and then you can sit in one of the two rooms they have. The place is not crowded with tables, so you can relax for a bit without being bothered. Their coffee is ok, while the cannolis were delicious. I had two small ones, one with orange and the other one with lemon cream. Crispy, tangy and with much filling. Staff were very friendly and pleasant, prices quite honest. Overall a great find.

We were looking for something light for lunch and the name caught our 👁️. They serve pastries, coffee (of course) and gelato too. The food all looked delicious and we wanted to try more but there is a limit to the tummy space. The place is a bit tight and really needs some squeezing around. But we has a good lunch nonetheless .

WORST FOOD AND SERVICE IN ROME! The food was really bad and they took 25 minutes to bring their "american food" which the juice was not fresh AT ALL, the bacon was very disgusting and they put a reall tiny portion of scra eggs. I pay 18€ for nothing! Never go there!

Everything we had there was genuinely disgusting, pizza, and ice cream. Fries are okay. They mistake my order and bring me a small beer instead of a pint It's been fixed by bringing me the same beer diluted with water. Yeah, I've noticed the colour has changed. It tastes pretty okay tho. I wasn't that brave enough to try that whipped cream they had.

Try other places on this street. Stopped for a cannoli and was charged maximum price. There are three sizes and prices on the menu and we were not offered the options. Flavor was ok but nothing special. Wish I looked up reviews before stopping.

It tasted like plain cream in a sandwich. A dessert with no special qualities. If it’s on your way, you can give it a try, but it’s definitely not worth a special trip.

Typical Italian place for a coffee and some pastries (or, as they call it - breakfast 😁), most of them are sweet, but a few savory options are also available. Quick service, no English, but we understood each other quite nicely 👍🏻 a few tables outside, to enjoy the sun while having a coffee and a bite (no nice views, as it's a neighbourhood cafe, but it's ok)

I was here on a Saturday night at around 10 and was surprised to see freshly baked items coming from the kitchen. Then looking at their timings, realised they are open 24h except on Mondays or so. Everything that we brought was delicious.

Loved this old-school pastry shop, famous obviously for the maritozzaro, but I got a Pasticciotto, filled with vanilla custard cream, and it is the best thing I have eaten since arriving in Rome. I’m going to hop on the 8 tram tomorrow and buy more.

The owner was lovely - but I heard so many amazing things about the maritozzaro that I was quite let down. It’s just bread with cream inside. The simplest you can imagine. Wasn’t bad per se, just, curb your expectations..

Try the ricotta sour cherry tart if you're in the area. Even though it's sold by weight, the lady at the counter wouldn't cut anything smaller than what is pictured below and it came out to around 5 euros. It sounds and looks heavy, but the tart is actually quite light and not too sweet. The fluffy, rich, and slightly sweet ricotta is balanced out by the sour cherry base. There are a couple public benches across the street to sit on while enjoying your treat which is a nice bonus!

Great place for a sweet treat. Sold by the weight, an average slices of about €4. Don't worry if they have sold out of ricotta and cherry. The other offerings are great too!

Essential stop in Rome for traditional Jewish bakes. Cherry Ricotta Tart is the most popular here but the Pizza Ebraica and Soft Almond Amaretti deserve more praise. If you catch the Pizza Ebraica warm from the oven (usually on Friday mornings) you hit the jackpot. The nonnas behind the counter are understandably a little curt because of language barriers but still very welcoming. Be polite, ask or point to what you want, and don’t linger too long. Go earlier in the day when things are still fresh.

After 20 minutes waiting for ordering, we ordered two pieces of ricotta with cherry and chocolate, which is more delicious with cherry. They are so slow and the atmosphere was not that very kind and catchy. It is worth to try one. But I ate a better one somewhere else in Rome.

Arrived around 11:15 on a Friday. It’s best to get here early as there was a que down the road when I had left also they run out of food later on the day. On a Friday they close early and aren’t open on Saturday engaging Sabbath. One downside they had some burnt ‘pizza’ I wasn’t going to buy it but the old lady went to the back and brought out a freshly baked one that wasn’t burnt and the younger lady started telling her off for it saying they had to sell the burnt ones first… Other than this good experience and lovely food. The shop is very small and no outdoor seating.

A traditional Italian kosher bakery that sells excellent cakes and biscuits. I highly recommend their apple strudel and almond cake with apricot jam as well as their ricotta and chocolate cake. Their biscuits (shown in the photos) are also good.

This was by FAR the best gelato I had my entire trip! And as someone gluten free, having a super tasty gluten free cone made it all the better. The pistachio and straciatella were super creamy and perfectly flavored. I do wish the pistachio had been a bit stronger, I found it to be a little mild, but it was still incredible. The employees were all very friendly. They always ask if you want whipped cream on top too! Which I did not experience at any other gelato shop. Overall, PLEASE make your way here if you’re staying in Rome, gluten free or not. I wish I could take it back to America with me!

Creative flavors, solid quality—perfect if you’re okay with a quick in-and-out experience! 👍 Stopped by this Fatamorgana location after an evening exploring Trastevere and found out they’re known for their inventive flavors—definitely worth a taste 😋 The shop was crowded and the pace felt rushed, but being able to sample a few flavors while waiting in line made the choice easier (and fun) 🤗 Fatamorgana is a chain with multiple locations across Rome. While I usually prefer smaller, one-off gelaterias, the quality here still stood out. Note: There’s no seating inside, so it’s a true grab-and-go spot. We ended up enjoying ours while wandering the neighborhood before it melted ✨

While the traditional flavor is their classic, they also offer a variety of other creative options like pistachio and Nutella, which might be a better choice if you're looking for something less coffee-forward. Because of its popularity and small size, there can be a queue, but it moves quickly. You'll likely enjoy your tiramisu standing or on a nearby bench. It's a popular spot and definitely worth trying for the experience, but if you prefer a milder coffee flavor in your tiramisu, you might find it a bit too intense.

9.5/10 don’t be turned off by the marketing or hype. They make it clear it’s not traditional tiramisu so if you come looking for that you will not be happy. If you want some experimentation on a classic concept, you will be delighted. Made fresh, bright, clear flavors, much less sweet and generic than most of what you get. We had the pistachio flavor and loved it. Definitely recommend, although you should also go somewhere known for the quality of a classic, traditional version.

After dinner, we randomly discovered Tiramisù Merisù in Trastevere — and what a find! Even though it was already 21:38 and there was still a line, we decided to wait, and it was absolutely worth it. This is the type of place you go day 1 of your trip and then come back days 2 and 3 because it was just that good! I tried the Nutella&oreo one and the classic. Both were delicious. The 3rd time I went there was a long queue, but it was worth the wait. The staff were very nice. If I'm ever in Rome again I will definitely be back.

My husband and I tried a ton of gelato during our time in Rome. This place was by far the best! I loved the Oreo and cheesecake, top 5 ice creams/gelatos I’ve ever eaten. My husband loved the strawberry, watermelon, peach, mango, etc. Pretty much any fruit flavor. The ladies working were friendly. Can’t recommend enough!

It’s a small place with only a few tables, but that doesn’t matter — the main point is the ice cream flavor. They have absolutely delicious ice cream. A quick service tiramisu place where you’ll find tiramisu in 2 sized cups. Hence the name of the place. They serve 5 flavours, Classic, Caramel, Strawberry, Pistachio, and Peanut. We tried Caramel, Classic, and Strawberry. They were all good. Nothing too fancy and definitely not the best. You can definitely have better tiramisu at other restaurants. Big cup is €4 and small is €3. The cream tasted fresh and quite filling and the base was nice and moist. We also tried a small chocolate Cannoli which was essentially Nutella filling. It was fine and I believe it costed €2 You can give it a try if you just got out of a nearby restaurant and are craving a casual dessert.

However, it’s quite busy and noisy, and the waiters aren’t very attentive — they seem rushed and don’t really notice you. Overall, I find it quite expensive for what it is. They automatically add €2.50 service charge to the bill, which feels a bit odd considering you don’t get any bread or anything extra, and the service itself isn’t really there — just different waiters rushing around. So, I’m not sure I’d pay for that again.

My wife had a cold coffee with cream, and she really enjoyed it as well—refreshing and full of flavor. They have a huge menu with lots of coffee options, and surprisingly, the prices were very reasonable—especially given the central location. If you’re near the Pantheon and love coffee, this place is a must-visit. Great quality, quick service, and a true Roman coffee experience.

We wanted a solid, good quality Italian cup of coffee and did not want to overpay. This is the place - the coffee quality is excellent we did not want to pay an extra euro for each cup to sit down so we drank it in the proper Italian style at the bar, the place is old and quite unique and the coffee is really really good. We stayed for about 7 days in Rome and really struggled in finding a good and nice place to eat without any hidden fees or any waiter trying to get you more bread to charge, but Al Forno della Soffitta was extremely great. The waiters were very friendly and accomodating with foreigners, they loved helping you pair your food with wine and the service overall was great. We only had pasta and pizza from this place because they were that good, but I saw they have some nice lunch menus that are available if you request them. We ate here 3 times and would have gone there more if we found it sooner.

We had a male and female server. The male was nice, the female was rude, and we noticed she was extremely rude to the Indian couple who were seated beside us. They spoke English just like us but she treated them quite poorly. Upon leaving the restaurant that is what we talked about, not about the meal itself. We were also never offered another bottle of water or a refill on wine. Atmosphere was good, with the pizza oven being the focal point. Bathrooms were clean.

This place is full of all tourists with speaking English. I haven’t seen a single Italian while I was sitting there 1.5 hours. I was excited to try authentic Italian food as a tourist so did some research for the reviews. Food is just average. I ordered seafood pasta. Lobster is not tasted fresh at all. In terms of service, I was sitting there to take my time to finish my glass wine. The waiter just passed a bill for me to finish it off. As a tourist coming to visit a place, it’s not a nice feeling at all. Of cuz I asked any limited time for dinning, he said no I can take my time to finish. To be honest, I do not have to ask for it. Or if any limited time for dinning should always let customers know before they are asks to be seated.

A must try on your Roman holiday! Caffe Greco seems to get a lot of mixed review. Having experienced it myself I can say it’s a caffe in its own league. It’s equal parts caffe and museum, not to mention a respectful nod to a time long passed. Being one of the oldest caffes in Europe, people among the ranks of Lord Byron have traversed the threshold and dined within these walls. And for me that is part of what going here is all about. You’re buying entry to be transported back in time and sit in the same spots as some of history’s great minds. I think it’s worth noting coffee culture in Italy is very different from other countries, and especially the US. Usually being a walk up bar where you slap down one Euro, get a shot of espresso in under a minute, drink quickly, and move on with your day. This is not that place. You sit down, get served crème in a silver dish by a waiter in a tuxedo, and order fabulous tortes to indulge in the coffee experience. But keep in mind, by and large, Italians do not drown their food in sugar like so many people, and especially Americans, are used to. I think this is why some people find the experience to be lacking. I’ve always found the food here to be exceptional, but you need to be mentally and maybe emotionally prepared to drop some cash for coffee and cake. This is on the more luxe side of experiences. If that is your thing, then this is a must try on your Roman holiday.

We visited Caffè Greco near Piazza di Spagna and were really disappointed. The hot chocolate was basically just melted chocolate, extremely thick and hard to drink. I couldn’t even finish one spoon. It was honestly unpleasant. We also ordered a small sandwich that cost around €20, and the espresso was €12. The hot chocolate alone was €15. In total, we had just 2-3 items and ended up paying around €80, which felt completely unjustified for the quality and quantity we got. The place may be historic, but it’s extremely overpriced, and the experience didn’t live up to the hype at all.

We went to this cafe hoping to have a good cake and coffee served by experienced personnel and instead found ourselves disappointed by very poor service and unsavoury cake. We ordered a lemon cake that was supposed to be very good according to the waitress’ suggestion. Instead the taste of the cake was abysmal. We got served some kind of jelly looking cake that tasted nothing like lemon. The cream was solid and had multiple colour in it. Something that it is not really common in this specific type of cake. It looked somewhat not really fresh. Of course we did not eat it and expressed our disappointment to the waitress but our complain was unheard and met with unpleasantry which definitely should not belong to this kind of places. In the end we were charged 14 euros for a cake that we did not eat. Would never go back there again.

Coffee cream was amazing, cappuccino was ok and the cheesecake was great and not too sweet. The price is on the high but worth it for the location near the Spanish steps.

The aroma of chocolate hits you as soon as you walk in, and the sight of the chocolate waterfall is mesmerizing. Yes, it can get busy, but the line moves quickly and it is 100% worth the wait. It's the perfect treat to enjoy while strolling down one of Rome's most famous streets. A delicious and unforgettable stop!

Even though there’s hundreds of gelato shops to choose from, this one is a must see. The gelato and chocolate is delicious, but it’s the ambience of the place that really sets it apart. The chocolate fountain wall is super cool. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Definitely a must visit if you’re in the area.

Wow! Absolutely amazing, the smell when you walk in is this beautiful chocolatey yummy goodness! I had a hot chocolate and it was beautifully made, perfect thickness and tasted divine.

Venchi Cioccolato in Rome is pure heaven for chocolate lovers. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the rich aroma of cocoa and the beautifully displayed selection of pralines, bars, and gelato. Everything looks like art, and the taste matches the presentation – truly delicious. I tried their famous gelato and it was one of the creamiest I’ve ever had, full of authentic flavor. The chocolate fountain wall is also a unique touch that makes the store unforgettable. The staff were friendly, patient, and happy to explain the different flavors and make recommendations. Prices are fair considering the high quality, and the packaging makes it perfect for gifts as well. If you’re in Rome and have a sweet tooth, this is an absolute must-visit. A delightful experience that combines luxury, flavor, and a bit of magic.

My wife loves the gelato here. The line ups are long however they move quick. The prices are fair for location. Tip: if you want to avoid the line, buy a chocolate or two and pay for the gelato when at the same time. You by pass the line and go straight to picking your flavor.

We had “breakfast” at Monica’s twice this past week, staff and service were very good. English isn’t readily spoken; but understood well enough to get orders done. The pastries and caffès were good and tasty, their table service was quick and polite. A good place to start your day from.

Had lunch on a Sunday (around 2:00pm). Ordered Parmigiana di melanzane alla siciliana, (Eggplant Parmesan)and a anacini di riso (a rice ball coated breadcrumbs and deep fried. The parmigiana was nice but too salty to my taste. The arancini was delicious, crispy from the outside and filled with meat, cheese, tomatoes and rice. For dessert I had cannolino which is a small cannoli, filled with sweet ricotta cheese, and a cappuccino. The dessert are the reason this place is so popular. Such a beautiful variety of sweets. Service was okay, not as personal as one expect, perhaps because the place was very busy. Was difficult to find a table to seat.... I will certainly be back to explore more of these beautiful desserts.

Great variety of Arancini and pastries. Very good flavor both on salty and sweet food - Not the best, but still very good. A little on the expensive side but worth it (the arancini are huge). Nice seating area outside.

This place was close to our hotel and open late so we visited few times. Most of the staff doesn't speak English and it was struggle to place an order as you have to pay first then get your food. So I had to take a photo of the pastries so I can order. Cashier was rude and serious, no smile. Coffee was great. We tried several pastries including cannolino, savoia piccola and we didn't like them. Cornetto vuoto was ok but our favorite was arancino ragu.

Staff is friendly and the food is amazing. It doesn’t even stop! Highly recommended. The whole picture costs 11,80€. P.S: Try out the triangle thing in the pic!

Sicily. Ah. I love Sicily and I love Mizzica. The food is amazing. Desserts. Pomegranate juice, fresh, delicious. Granita. Cakes. Coffee. Name it. Popular with Romans.

An excellent, thin crust, take-away pizza!! We shared the red pizza and the Margherita. Fresh, quality ingredients, and crispy crust! And I loved that you could watch the pizzas being made as you ordered. My only complaint is that we had to eat the pizza at an Irish pub nearby because the pizza place was take-away only.

I had the mortadella focaccia and the bread tasted fresh. The flavors were extremely simple, with a focus on the freshness of the ingredients. I also had their ragu suppli and it was the highlight for me. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside!

One of my favourite panini spots in the city! Always the freshest, tastiest ingredients and the bread is always perfectly crisp and doused in high quality olive oil. Highly recommend the simple mortadella panino and any of the vegetarian options but especially the one with zucchini, tomatoes and grated provolone. Sweet, ripe tomatoes are such a treat when in Italy. Definitely get your panini to take away and sit on the edge of the nearby fountain in the piazza to enjoy them in the sun.

I came at 8.30am and no long queue. I got my focaccia and pizza al taglio… both are still warm and was soooooo good. The focaccia is the best, it’s crunchy but soft.

Gelato they serve here is of fine texture and quality, and it tasted perfect. Service was great. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

The last tour stop with our guide Guilia was at the famous Lemongrass Gelato. We were looking forward to some sweets after a few hours of food and wine. The wine had really been flowing by the time we reached Lemongrass. A nice sampling of the gelato flavors to end our tour. A great stop...I wish I had taken more pictures because we sure don't remember much other than it was delicious creamy goodness.

We loved the Pistacchio and Lemongrass (white chocolate and lemon) flavours, which both had really good texture. We were let down by the zabaglione flavour which was quite thin and frothy.

Great experience with impeccable gelato and lots of flavours. Excellent coffee too. The service is really good and a couple of tables inside. There's also aircon to keep the gelato… and you, cool. Highly recommended.

This was the first time we found Vegan Ice Cream that are not just Sorbet. This Vegan Ice Cream was very good and we enjoyed it two times. I can really recommend the Lemongrass.

There’s a reason there’s so much hype around Roscioli. The bakery is superb. It feels like most people come for the pizza (it was delicious) but the breads and pastries all looked delicious too. One of the culinary highlights of our trip to Rome. If you walk past and there’s a queue, join it. You’ll be queuing for 5 mins at most and it’s inevitably much better than many other places in Rome

The sweet is better than savoury. Not sure why I haven’t seen many people talk about the sweet pastries. The fig tart was really good. The custard wasn't overly sweet and it paired well with the base. The base biscuit was very soft and crumbly, more like a soft cookie rather than a typical hard tart base. The ventaglio was also quite good, it was a pastry version of the butterfly cookie and not too sweet either. The chilli pizza slice was good, the olive oil on it was quite good, not too oily or heavy. But nothing super special. The ham sandwich with lettuce was eh. The lettuce on it tasted weird.

Honestly truly worth the hype and queue outside. Excellent pizza al taglio with a variety of toppings and pizza bianca made to order. The base is nicely crisp with a pillowy dough, all fresh produce and Roscioli-made ingredients. Pizza Burrata is essential and Pizza Bianca con Mortadella is also excellent (very high quality deli meats). Go before lunch rush (12 pm) to beat the queue, but it moves fairly quickly anyway. Service is understandably curt because of how busy it gets, just know what you want and order right away.

Definitely worth the stop!! This is the cutest, most authentic feeling little Italian bakery/deli/pizza spot. It's very small inside with a whole lot of people trying to place orders. Kind of chaotic. Outside there r a couple tables against the building with a few chairs. Definitely not a lot of seating, but it's possible. Pastries & fresh breads look delicious and barely out of the oven, but we didn't try those. Did get a few different salami sliced up for snacking later & those were wonderful. Also got some pizza slices, which they warmed & we ate outside. Like most other quick pizza spots, they cut a portion off the large pizza and then after warming it slice it into smaller pieces. This places cuts very large pieces so if ur not super hungry or want to try a few types, might want to ask for a smaller portion. This shop was also more expensive than others, but we really enjoyed the atmosphere and flavor of it. Also, Roscioli has a coffee shop down the street so make sure you go to the correct location.

As every time I’m in Rome, I headed to Roscioli for lunch to grab some pizzas. The place has no seating area inside but there’s a nearby park where I always sit to enjoy my food, so that’s not an issue. Roscioli offers both sweets and savoury dishes, and their highlight is pizza, which comes in different shapes and flavours. Prices are ok, not cheap but not overly pricey. With 16 euros I was insanely stuffed. Staff were really friendly and helpful, food quality outstanding. Overall a great find, totally recommend.

This place was featured on NBC Nightly News 04/23/2025 as Pope Francis's favorite Gelato shop. I can see why! OMG, you have to hit this up if you are near the Vatican. The mango gelato absolutely taste like fresh mango and the strawberry gelato is so good with pieces of strawberry inside! Great service and lots of flavors to choose from. We actually finished our gelato and then went right back in to order a 2nd time!

My friends and I agreed it was like eating gelato in Disneyland, this place is so adorable! The beautiful vines on the front and the attention to detail in the decor inside makes the whole shop just lovely to experience. The girl working the counter was very friendly and helped us with our orders. I went for the apple and cinnamon gelato and the chocolate chip gelato. One of my friends had an affogato and a cannoli which were delicious.

We absolutely loved this gelato shop. The staff was so kind and greeted us warmly upon our arrival. They explained any flavors we had questions about. The gelato was the best we had the entire time in Italy. They have a special jubilee year flavor that was amazing! The shop itself is adorable and clean. I would highly recommend it, we loved it!

We were wandering around near the Vatican when we saw this place and decided to stop by after seeing the line for it 😂 it was definitely worth it though! The staff were really friendly and helpful and the gelato was soooo good, you could literally taste the fruit in the strawberry gelato. We also had the strawberry granita which I would definitely recommend, it was a perfect cool treat on a hot day!

Fraschetteria is a little basement restaurant that you couldn’t even find without Google Maps but it is 100% worth the visit. The charcuterie board is absurd, the pasta is fantastic, and the waiter was a good dude. Most interestingly, the wine list is very unique for someone who isn’t from Rome. We get a ton of Chianti, Brunello, Barrolo in the States, but Cesanese was new for me. Get the pistachio tiramisu for dessert and make sure you make a reservation. People stood outside waiting our entire meal.

Wow. Just wow. Small 18 seat restaurant in the basement that you’d never find without Google… but it should be front and centre on your list. It was so good that we ate here the next night. Our servers both nights were great, but the main feature here is the food. You can tell it’s all homemade and put together with passion and care. Absolutely delicious. Would make a reservation though as it is very small.

A hidden gem! My friend and I were looking for a nice place for authentic Italian food and wanted something off the beaten path. Fraschetteria is easy to miss if you are not specifically looking for it. The food is excellent. I ordered the lasagna and tiramisu with pistachio. Wine selection is great. It's a very tiny spot with only 7 small tables inside but well worth it. The staff is quick and friendly.

Such a pleasant surprise for what we thought was a little hole in the wall! Great wine recommemdation from our server, cacio e pepe was delicious and the desserts were great (chocolate fondant cake and pistachio tiramisu - the best of my husband's life!). Lovely atmosphere and it felt like we had stumbled upon a real gem. I'd definitely recommend booking in advance but for us it was well worth the wait!

We have been coming here for the last 6 years. It is our favorite place in Rome to eat. Fabio and Valentina are amazing hosts and just wonderful people who really care about the guest’s satisfaction. The food is amazing as everyone else says! Out favorites are the Bruschette ciauscolo y Miele Al tartufco. For pastas the lasagne and gnocchi are amazing and the carbonara is the best we have eaten in Rome. For dessert do not pass up the pistachio tiramisu if it is available. I definitely recommend getting a reservation as soon as you know you are in Rome if not you may have a long wait. There may also be a Short wait if you have a reservation as they do not have set seating times but the atmosphere is so vibrant and the food so delicious that it is so worth the wait!

It was a wait (even with a reservation) and I considered finding another restaurant but I'm so glad I didn't. As can see from other reviews a very tight and cozy place. 18 people tops. The food was fantastic. Gnocchi was absolutely amazing simple but with great flavor. The black truffle tagliatelle probably best thing I've had in all of Italy. If can deal with the wait it's totally worth it.

Ordered the almond, pistachio, chocolate and hazelnut scoop of ice cream. All vegan, all tasted amazing. It’s really refreshing to see no artificial flavourings and colourings. These colours are normal, but the flavours were REAL, it is what you want from an ice cream. Definitely one of the best ice cream spots in Italy. I also ordered a coconut/pineapple/date shake too. Really refreshing.

We visited Grezzo Raw Chocolate and tried their ice cream and a hazelnut dessert called “Emblema.” The ice cream was really nice, smooth and rich in flavour. On the other hand, the hazelnut dessert was a bit too intense for me. The hazelnut taste was very strong, and after a few bites, it became overwhelming. Still, it's a good spot if you enjoy vegan, raw, rich desserts and want to try something different.

Grezzo was such a nice little shop! My husband and I both had the mandorla con café (with their own espresso in the flavor). It was incredible, so creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness. The woman working was so helpful when it came to picking out truffles to take with us. The chocolate was rich, decadent and the perfect amount of sweetness. We only wish we discovered this place before our last day in Rome. 1000/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet ice cream shop in a beautiful Piazza.

Ice cream is great but service is horrible!! I felt mistreated, i asked which ice cream doesn’t contain gluten itself contamination is not a problem and the answer was i don’t know, al contain with an angry face. Well who knows then if even angry woman who serves ice cream doesn’t??

This is our local and favorite place for a top quality cornetto (get the mandorla!) and cappuccino. Prices are a bit more than other bars, but the quality is worth it! They are also open every day, even Ferragosto. Check out their desserts and gelato in the evening, too!

Lovely pastry shop surprise! Was looking for Gelato and came across this right opposite my hotel. Beautiful pastries, lovely flavors and great coffee. Ordered a barberini. Espresso and shakerato. Good stuff but sadly they tried to overcharge me. They said barberini was EUR 10 (changed later to 8) and the shakerato was EUR 5 instead of only 2.90 (big size it seems, though size was never asked). Apart from this pricing issue, place to sit and enjoy. Really friendly service and good music. Plan to visit again.

423euros for 2 people, for a tasting menu of 7 steps (plus 2 desserts) & wine paring with 1 sparkling, 2 whites, 1 orange and 1 rosso. My first experience in a 1* Michelin star restaurant and a great one. Don't have much to compare with but it was overall an astounding experience. I do have to say only 3 plates had a real "wow" feeling, but all of them were greatly enjoyable.

Starting off, many reviews have said its bitter often, that's true, I happen to be from a part of Europe this is common and I liked it, but if you don't you may struggle. The courses were all good and a couple truly excellent, there was maybe only one thing right at the start we thought was rather average. Our server was Lucia (or something like that sorry if its wrong) who was lovely and explained everything well in english for us. The atmosphere is pretty standard, not wow but very comfy. Overall a very enjoyable 1* experience perhaps a little on the expensive end even for a Michelin resturant :)

Zia was definitely an experience, and the waiting staff put on a song and dance choreography of plates that anyone would appreciate. The service is exquisite and its of credit to them how well they pull it off in being polite, attentive, and exceptional at what they do. What lets the restaurant down sadly is its food and ambiance, and I would expect more from a Michelin star establishment. Ambiance : too sterile, everyone is afraid to make a single sound, the music is very low, it makes the whole vibe slightly unwelcoming. Food : We tried the 7 course menu, and most of the food was nice. Not great, not mind blowing, it was nice. Some dishes like the Pigeon very clearly missed the mark and were not good at all. Others tasted really nice, but had me feeling mixed emotions about if the price tag is worthy of the quality. Sadly, I’d say the seven course menu was not. I think the chef could push themselves abit more to craft a better menu that can accompany the price tag.

Food was mostly delicious except for a few outlayers (cold pasta dish did not work for us, as well as the lobster dish which was messy but interesting). The desserts were tasty but very trivial which is unexpected frim a place like this and arevthe main reason for the 4\5 stars. Wine pairing was mostly very good though to me the rosé wine did not compliment the dishes and was generally not a memorable wine. Service was perfect and kind, atmosphere was modern, pleasant and clean.

Chef Antonio of Zia, and his crew led by Valentina in front, plus masterful chefs in the kitchen is a memorable dreamy journey of the best tastes of Roman, Lazio, and global cuisine. I honestly don’t understand how this restaurant holds two Michelin stars. The five-course menu featured two fish dishes back to back, both dry, skimpy, and uninspired. Especially when they had other proteins on the menu that could have added variety. (The ravioli were good) The lower-level seating felt like a dungeon: hot, airless, and completely lacking atmosphere. Service was professional but cold, polished without warmth or charm. Overall, the experience felt clinical and joyless. Definitely not worth the hype (or the stars). 👎

The food, service, and cleanliness at this Michelin-starred restaurant were all excellent. The place was spotless, and the staff was attentive and friendly. However, while the food was enjoyable and well-prepared, it didn’t blow me away or offer that extraordinary, mind-blowing experience I expect from a Michelin star. It was good, but not special enough to warrant such high praise. Another disappointment was the waitress’s uniform, which looked more like a pajama than anything fitting for a Michelin-star restaurant. I was expecting a more polished, professional look. Additionally, while the restaurant was clean, the design felt very flat and lacked the wow factor. Overall, while the experience was pleasant, I wouldn’t give this restaurant a Michelin star. For the price of 200 euros per person, I expected much more. I would consider this meal worth 80 euros per person at best.

We came here almost every day during our week-long vacation in Rome. The staff were welcoming, friendly, professional, and attentive. The pastries were excellent! The cappuccino could be better — the milk froth wasn’t among the best I’ve had.

This little pastry/breakfast/ coffee shop was recommended to us by our Airbnb host, Veruska for breakfast. And she could not have been more accurate for a great place to eat. We started our days at this quaint little spot with cappuccinos or lattes, and even the occasional Americano. I don’t even know what we had for breakfast most days, but it was usually some type of a pastry, filled with meat and cheese, and it was always a wonderful breakfast. Not a traditional North American breakfast to be sure, but we loved it. We also stopped in for some pastries, such as cannolis, and even the pastry filled “hotdog” were fantastic for a quick bite while walking around the Testaccio neighborhood we stayed in during our stay in Rome. It took us very little time to figure out how to order and pay, but basically we just followed the locals and how they did things. Sometimes finding a spot to sit would be challenging but a couple mornings we would just walk over to nearby Piazza Testaccio and enjoyed our breakfast sitting on a park bench. Loved this local bakery! It has an incredible variety of pastries and other delights, and it's so fun to see the hustle and bustle of daily Italian life in the morning, with people rushing in for their espresso and croissants.

Stopped into Linari for an espresso and maritozzo at the bar. The coffee was smooth, and the maritozzo was fresh and light, classic Roman start to the day. Solid local spot with a nice buzz.

My new favorite bakery in Rome! The staff is friendly and quickly prepared the sweets for takeaway. The attention to detail in the packaging was incredible, almost too pretty to eat. And of course it all tasted divine!

I chose crepe with an egg, cheese and ham. It wasn't too good for me, but because of crepe itself - I like it less cooked, so it's more about personal preferences. My girlfriend chose a sweet one and it was much better so I'm gonna give it solid 4/5 anyway. You just gotta go and try it yourself, but the sweet crepes are certainly the way to go in my opinion.

Sometimes those website bonuses bring real joy. I got some money (the site is mentioned on the photo) and went out for a snack. The dessert turned out surprisingly delicious — sweet but not too much. A perfect way to lift the mood after a workday.

On a casual Friday night, we decided to stop by a charming little crêpe spot for something sweet. From the first bite, the flavors were amazing, but what truly stood out was the preparation. Watching the process, we could see the dedication and skill poured into every crêpe—something rare to find these days. It made the experience even more enjoyable. 😊

This cafe is quite small - not great for large groups of people but it offers a small table with three chairs. I had the Crepe with Nutella for £5 - it was good and it satisfied my craving for sweets.

Just give this place a try! You won't regret it! Crepes as good as you can find in Paris. Wife and I went 2 times in 3 days, pictures are from our 2nd visit on Sept 27, 2023. Forgot to take pictures the 1st time. I was torn between the caramel with sea salt and the butter and sugar crepes. I went with the butter and sugar crepe. It was surprisingly good. I mentioned to the friendly staffer that the crepe was equal or better than the ones we had in Paris. Turns out that the owner is from France. Shop was staffed by 2 different persons both times we went. Both engaged in conversations with us and were helpful. On our second visit, I got the caramel crepe. Wife wanted a crepe with strawberries and a touch of sugar. The nice lady was happy to accommodate her custom request. Both were very good, the caramel had just a touch too much caramel sauce but it did not detract from my enjoyment of the crepe.

Very delicious crepe. I tried the honey, lemon, and walnuts crepe. It was absolutely amazing.

Great place to start a day, you are not eating sweet deserts but well flavor balanced piece of art! 6€ a piece plus refreshing homemade iced tea with strawberry or mint and peach for 3€. Would recommend!

Love this little coffee and dessert bar. For being near the largest attractions of Rome it’s very reasonably priced. It’s a small hole-in-the-wall, but you can get a nice sandwich here as well as some very pretty looking dessert items. The macaroons and jam-filled croissants were really tasty! Definitely the spot to stop at for a quick pick-me-up if you’re wandering around the city center. There is a nice park across the street where you can take your items to eat.

After a long walk under the sun it was the perfect spot to get some rest. The Santeo Spritz was really refreshing and not too strong and the Canolli was delicious. Last but not least: the staff was very friendly.

Hidden gem nested near the Colosseum, an absolute joy taking a retreat here from the long walks nearby 😊 The service staff was very friendly, showed us around the store on what they specialise in, and even gave us 2 breads to munch on! ☕️ the ginger coffee was one of the best coffee I ever had, I wasn’t expecting a black coffee and was shocked at how good it was - not too acidic, but smell and tasted really good! 🍹 the santeo spritz was good, not too heavy on the alcohol and refreshing for the sunny day Macarons were superb and very affordable, great for a tea time treat! 🍪 cookie was okay, not too sweet which was appreciated after having much gelatos here in Italy Overall, it was an excellent find for a quick pit stop if you are in the vicinity for day tours 👍🏻

Good place for breakfast. I ran into this tiny joint yesterday. I was happy to find they have fresh croissants and tea. Two croissants and one black tea were 4 euro. Very affordable. Staff were friendly too.

The best Bistrot / Patisserie close to Circo Massimo, Bocca della Verità and the Campidoglio. Dessert and pastries are just great and the staff super kind. 30 meters from the famous farmers market, an hidden jewel of the city center, food is local 100%, fresh and supertasty - our sandwiches says it all. A great spot to have some great local food on the go in the city center while visiting Rome, very raccommended

There was a que and wait. I tried the famous pizza, they cut portions to the size you want, they have a lot of baked goods among other things. I highly recommend trying. They have two benches outside you can sit and eat or someone can wait whilst the other is queuing. It is also next to the famous Jewish bakery you can visit as well.

Wonderful community bakery - go to the right hand side for sandwiches. Go for the experience, not the rush - a sandwich will take 20+ minutes, but you’ll spend the whole time being fed an endless stream of baked goods, pizza, and life stories (great English too). And say yes to extra flavourings etc, next-level sandwiches. Very reasonable prices too.

If you’re a tourist, this is not your typical pizza place, not cheesy topping, melted cheese or mozzarella. The flavors of the flatbreads were amazing and dominant and it was just a perfect flatbread snack

My wife luckily stumbled on this place while taking side streets one morning. The owner Marlo? was very hospitable knowing she was not a local and provided her tastings of some of his specialities. Thin bread sandwiches with pesto, bocconcini, lemon, olive oil , seasonings … mortadella, lemon, grated hazelnuts … homemade wine cookies. She went back for 2nds! Go with a smile and enjoy.

Poor, poor and poor. Old man at the counter with a Bengali colleague, there was a queue the usual Italian way (no standards, no first one or last, no tickets) only serving the locals on the lunch break, avoiding the tourist looking like, too bad for them I was born here and left around 15 years ago. Didn’t have the chance to try their products, although looked quite standard and nothing special to me. The place also needs a good clean up and is quite messy. Through the other doors you can see their ovens and the baker watching movies on the phone, classic.

Never had such a bad experience in a bakery!! While discussing what to buy we could NOT name something between us that the man at the counter would immediately pack it and then refuse to remove it from our bill. Be aware! They told us: you name it you buy it. Then the bill came at 10.35euro and the same guy told us: just 10. But the lady at the register did not agree and she wanted from us the .35c. We told her to take them from the 20euro bill we gave her but she did not have the change and complained to us for not giving her the .35c. I am sorry but we won't go back. This is not appropriate customer service.

Best cannoli I have ever had and it was the size of my face. It had the right amount of crunch, wasn’t overly sweet. It was a refreshing eat. The candied orange was a perfect.

I first went to Pompi and tried two tiramisus: the gluten-free and the pistachio. I loved them so much that I went back in the afternoon to try the classic one as well. All three were amazing, but the pistachio was my absolute favorite. Surprisingly, the gluten-free version was even better than the classic, in my opinion. I truly think this is the best tiramisu in Rome. At the counter, I asked if it was halal, and the lady said yes. The fact that they even know what halal means made me very happy, so Muslims can enjoy it with peace of mind.

I tried Pompi’s Classico tiramisù, and wow—it literally melts in your mouth like a dream. Each bite is creamy heaven, and the dark chocolate bits give that perfect little crunch that makes it irresistible. I honestly could eat the whole thing in one sitting. This isn’t just dessert—it’s pure joy on a spoon. I also tried the pistacchio but my heart belongs to the Classico! 🤩 Absolute perfection.❤️

Pretty nice tiramisu and really fast service. The tiramisu itself wasn’t too sweet nice and light,but the pistachio flavor wasn’t very strong. It’s not very "in your face," which could be good for some and less so for others, but it’s still a nice treat.

I tried the classic tiramisu, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! The flavor was perfectly balanced, not too strong on the coffee, not too creamy or sweet, just right. The portion was generous too, making it a truly satisfying dessert.

We tried the gluten-free tiramisu the classic and we took the pistachio the normal flavour. It was below expectation and overrated.

Great food, the main courses and desserts were light and tasty. Good selection of wines, including rosé and orange. Service was fast and efficient, but at times it was difficult to get waiters' attention. We sat by the counter, which wasn't the most comfortable experience, but allowed us to get inside in less than 10 minutes wait time.

Very busy place, we were able to get seated outside at lunch after a small wait. Simple and tasty. Meatballs were very good! I was so excited to have such a great Greek salad after weeks of eating little to no raw vegetables in Italy 😂

Great food, tiny restaurant. We were walking past and were drawn by the floral exterior. Restaurant looked crowded and bustling during lunch, so we decided to give it a chance. Managed to get a seat with minimal wait. Food came quickly and was good. Wished we had space to try the Tiramisu. We saw many people ordering it.

The meat balls are so freaking good! Went here to kick off our Rome trip and oh my did we start with a banger! We had the meat balls in tomato sauce and their chicken and both were great. The chicken falls off the bone and the meat balls are not even remotely dry, but juicy and flavourful. Their bread makes for an excelent compliment to the meal to mop up the sauce with (which you will want to do). The restaurant has a nice cosy vibe.

Love this restaurant! My husband and I found this place in 2015 and have been back every time we have come to Rome. The vibe here is excellent and all the staff are so funny and nice. The food is incredible - our favourite is the truffle sausages!! We went last night for dinner and had the best time as always and I’m sure we will return again soon during our trip.

The place captured us from the outside right away - it has this stunning green charm that just sucks you in. Once you get inside you are greeted by an owner who loves what he does, singing and dancing and playing great music . Our server , Marco, was excellent and very kind to us, the food was some of the best Italy has to offer - with the meatballs being my personal fave.

If you want fast paced service this is definitely the place in Rome, we were sat down and drinking wine within 5 minutes. I had the Porchetta and my wife had the lasagna. I’m not joking I moaned and prayed after ever bite of the Porchetta. It’s my first time ever having it so I asked for the honey mustard that they offer upon request. I felt like I insulted them after I was finished. 100/10. Couldn’t asked for a better experience.
