Had the quiche and hazelnut cake. We didnt really like the hazelnut cake as it had some other sweet thing apart from hazelnut in it. But the quiche was great. One of the best quiches ive had. Really quite appetising and tasty. Egg wasnt too overpowering, and spinach was balanced. A great quiche.

We had breakfast at this wonderful local bakery during our stay except for Sunday (they are close on Sundays). It is a few minutes from the hostel. They have a wide array of inviting pastries, sandwiches breads and cakes. They also have some muesli and salad. Coffee is as it should be - strong and smooth. Their cheese quiche was my absolute favorite out of everything I tried. Staff is warm and friendly. Their prices are pretty reasonable for Switzerland. They give you the option to sit inside or outside. They maintain both inside and outside well so it’s really up to you. As for us, we couldn’t resist the idea of sipping our coffees and enjoying our quiches with the amazing backdrop all around us. I wish we have a great bakery such as Steininger in our town. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

We stayed at Funny Farm Backpackers just across the street and grabbed breakfast from here every morning before taking the bus just outside the shop. All of the food we tried was delicious, but especially the cheese quiche and the freshly made orange juice!

The swiss sausage roll was sooo fresh and flavourful. Love their bread and the service staff was so patient in explaining us the sifferent breads!

Always lacking pistacchio flavor. This is why i cannot put 5 stars. But other flavors taste great. It would be great if the cups were a bit bigger because when the ice cream melts it pours out of the cup and dirties the hands. So until then, eat your ice cream fast!

Great place. Staff are friendly and helpful(explains the ice cream ingredients and helps you to find a one you liked) never got bored in this place they always make some seasonal changes.

Excellent authentic Gelato 🍧 with great variety of full flavor options. We enjoyed the ricotta cherry 🍒 and hazelnut, both were scrumptious. Definitely neither diet nor boring. Plenty of comfortable indoor seating. Great central location for quickly picking up a couple of scoops and heading out for a nice walk along the Central Park. Also on offer are the practical take away packages for that midnight craving. Bring your cash as no cards are accepted.

This shop is cash-only and unfortunately we didn't have cash on hand which we realised after entering the store ( our fault) . But we were surprised by how we were treated. We had only just sat down for 30 seconds in one of the seats inside to figure out our next move when the owner abruptly directed us to the exit. Of course it is his store and his right, but it felt totally unnecessary as almost all the seats were unoccupied. It made us feel very insulted and unwelcome.

My favorite gelato in Interlaken. You can't go wrong with all their chocolate flavors as it's their specialty. My favorite is their limited-time flavor (every Thursdays during summer) - dark chocolate. It's just so rich and mind blowing. We took the 1 hour train ride back just to get this again lol. Then torta (chocolate + almond) is a close 2nd. Their regular chocolate and tiramisu are also very good. CASH only!!!

Staff was quite rude and the ice cream was below average. There are so many amazing ice cream stores in interlaken, you're better off going somewhere else. Edit: It's a shame that the owner is rude. Believe it or not having a bad experience like that can actually affect the taste of the ice cream. Maybe if he was less rude to people you would have even more customers. Also it was very surprising that he wouldn't allow any of us a chance to sample the flavors we were interested in. After we got our order and the taste was so poor I just assumed he didn't give tastes because he would lose so many customers. All of the other ice cream shops we went to had very friendly staff who were excited to share the delicious flavors they made. Even after we already paid they encouraged us to try the other flavors because they were so proud of how good they were. It made the experience with the other shops joyful, sweet, and happy. Those are the emotions we hope to have when we get a treat. I hope that instead of being bitter about getting a 1-star review, the owner will consider doing a little bit of self reflection and choose to grow into a kinder person. I bet the ice cream would taste better if he did. Edit #2: We bought 4 ice cream cones from you ... And even if we didn't, how is that profiteering? I don't think that word means what you think it means. Even though you were rude to us and many of your customers seem to think you are racist, I still believe that we all have the ability to grow and become better people. I hope that your life is filled with meaningful experiences that help you to grow and that one day your ice cream shop does even better because of it. A good place to start would be by challenging yourself to be kind to everyone who enters your shop for 1 week. Our go-to place for gelato in Interlaken. We went here almost every day of our trip. The flavors are absolutely delicious and the texture is incredible. We had honey, strawberry, lemon, caramel, mango, coffee, sour cherry, plum, peanut and vanilla. All delectable. I highly recommend!

This has to be one of the best gelatos your hands can get here in Switzerland! They offer a very generous portion for the price paid. For reference, I got the strawberry-lemon-basil plus yogurt-maracuja.

Recommend. Service is polite and nice. Large variety of flavors. My sister took pistachio and I tried it: Vague taste overall but distinct pistachio aftertaste (to die for). I took lemon sorbet and it was sour and sweet at the same time (great as always, because I always take lemon sorbet at most ice cream shops).

My recent visit chez Rüfi left me disheartened due to the lack of satisfactory customer service, particularly in the instance involving the waitress, Rachel. Upon requesting a straw to accompany my juice, I was met with a surprising refusal. To compound matters, when I politely referenced a previous occasion when a straw was provided, Rachel's response was dismissive, suggesting I can bring my own. This incident is reflective of a concerning trend I've observed over several years: a noticeable discrepancy in the treatment of locals versus foreigners. While younger staff members generally exhibit warmth and courtesy, those over the age of 30 consistently demonstrate unfriendliness, especially towards non-local patrons. This disparity not only detracts from the overall dining experience but also undermines the cafe's reputation as an inclusive and welcoming establishment. Every patron deserves to feel valued and respected, regardless of their nationality or background. I am very disappointed with Rachel's behavior.

Most stylish and cool coffeehouse in Biel! All dishes, including the sweets from the shop, are the highest quality, team most friendly and professional and generally atmosphere there is like being in book store or library, where you meet authors, journalists and musicians. Very popular place by Bieler folk, so sometimes you'd have to wait a little to get a table (for lunch). I personally recommend trying their fresh juice, a fruit pie, and "canapés.

One of the famous cafees in the city. Indoor great ambiance. Outdoor seating also comfortable; blankets available to snuggle up in the cold. Great selection of beverages, bakery items and desserts.

So I went back & gave it another try on several different bread. Gipfeli is not bad but very small, probably somewhere around 43g or so, Zopf is very good, a good amount of butter, moist, a little bit on a salty side. The dark bread had an exterior very hard, very difficult to chew on even though I got it around 10:00 am. ——————- They charge a salad 19 CHF that doesn't have any piece of meat. Cappuccino is 5.50 but very average, the bread is good but some of them goes up to almost 5 CHF for 400-500g.

We had a group of 4 people and we wanted to sit for a drink and to share a cake (as we were not hungry). Two of us went inside and took what we wanted and paid. After paying and returning to the seat the waitress came to tell us we can not all sit as we did not order enough for 4 people. She did not let the other two people sit unless they order and only allowed two to sit at a table for 4, as we only ordered enough for 2 (I do not get the logic as we anyway occupied table for 4). This was so rude so we took our stuff and left. Ridiculous service. They even had a few other empty tables. Cake was ok but we had to eat it on the way.

A wonderful coffee shop and bakery next to the gondola and train station. It's the perfect place to grab a pastry and coffee before starting your day in Lauterbrunnen. Don't miss the excellent quiche and the rhubarb/plumb pastry. Ignore the reviews about bad service: these are inconsiderate tourists who purchase a bottle of water to split between five people and then expect they should be allowed to picnic/camp out on the patio.

The best Hazelnut croissant I have ever tasted! All the food was fantastic and the hot chocolate was great. All the negative reviews are from those who have never tried to run a shop in a tourist area that seeks to make a profit. This place is not running a rest area. And those reviews citing "racism" are truly weak minded individuals.

Bäckerei Stefan von Allmen is a quaint, charming bakery right opposite the Lauterbrunnen train station. What a terrible experience! We bought something in the shop and ordered a coffee, but because not everyone in our group ordered a drink, we were literally kicked out. This is by far the worst service ever, unbelievably rude and completely disrespectful. I strongly advise: avoid this bakery at all costs!

I visited this café with my boyfriend and was surprised to be told that we couldn’t eat here unless we also ordered drinks. it made the experience quite disappointing and they are very greedy. The prices also seemed higher than expected. I personally wouldn’t recommend this place!!!

I was happy to find this hidden gem in Interlaken this morning. I had a warm cup of delicious Hibiscus tea with an apple strudel. The pastry was so flaky after being warmed, and it was also served with whipped cream on the side. This was a perfect pairing for a light snack. The ambiance of this tea room is also very nice....the pictures on the wall with light music in the background. It also seemed very popular with the locals. Very happy with the food and service.

Confiserie Rieder in Interlaken is a cozy bakery and café near the town center with outdoor tables under shady trees. I grabbed an egg sandwich, coffee, and a few sweets before wandering. The flaky pastries and handmade chocolates draw locals and visitors alike. Staff were friendly during my early afternoon visit, and it’s an easy walk from Interlaken West. Worth a stop for a quick break or takeaway treats while exploring.

We were looking for cake shop in interlaken, and while searching on maps got suggestion to come here . We were pleasantly impressed with the hospitality. We got many suggestions as well as staff was so courteous to recommend cake and also gave us candle and light to celebrate. Highly recommended this place.

Confiserie Rieder in Interlaken is a charming café with a cute outdoor seating area. It’s very picturesque—sitting outside feels like being in a quaint small town, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. We ordered two cappuccinos, but I found them a little too milky for my taste. We also tried two cakes: a lemon cake and a coffee-flavored one. The lemon cake was enjoyable, light and refreshing, while the coffee cake wasn’t to my liking—the frosting tasted a bit too buttery. Both cakes were slightly sweeter than I usually prefer, but overall it was a pleasant and charming café experience.

I love going to this place, everything is homemade by the family that owns this place. My favorite cake is the truffle cake with whipped cream on the side and in the summer their homemade icetea. their coffee is also amazing. they have from sweets to even salty things like sandwiches and quiches. (they offer everything for take away which is so comfortable when you are in a rush.) i really recommend this place! 10/10

Probaby my favourite bakery in Switzerland. I love the idea ro avoid food waste and I love even more the prices. My brother and I got 3 tasty sandwiches 2 dessert optioks for 13 franks. Very affordable for an expensive city. The service was lovely and the lady serving us was patient with us in English and explained all the different options. There was a small seating area too. Overall great vibes, great food and great prices. Highly recommended.

I'm only visiting, but if I had access to this shop back home, I would start off every day at it. We've tried many of their pastries over the last few days and everything has been great. My favorite so far was a seasonal rhubarb pastry that was unbelievably good. The giant apple strudel is amazing. Their almond croissant is another of our favorites. The quality of their baking is as good or better than anything I've eaten in France or Spain. The flavors range from subtle to strong depending on the item. You can taste the freshness and distinguish the individual flavors as they should taste, not masked by artificial flavors or overly-seasoned/sweetened. They also offer chocolates that are exclusively made in Wengen, local honey, and they even had locally produced apple juice. This is a business that clearly cares about quality and supporting local suppliers.

Spent a week in Wengen and bought several things and all were truly delicious. My personal favourite was the spinach quiche but all the flavours were wonderful. Also the cheese covered pretzels were so good. All of the produce is beautifully fresh and local, I highly recommend a visit or 5! The shop is imacculatly clean and the ladies who served were friendly and welcoming.

Just popped in and everything looks outstanding! I had the spinach quiche and it was the best I've ever had in my life! Not salty. Buttery Crust. So moist and delicious. We don't speak German so it was great that she spoke English! I'll be back tomorrow 🙂

This bakery was our go-to place during our week-long stay in Wengen. We tried a wide variety of baked goods, but I especially enjoyed the Apfel Caramel Streusel, Strawberry Tart, Apricot Roll, and Banana Muffins. The baked goods are fresh and you can ask them to heat it up for you. In addition, the staff allowed us to reserve the baked goods we liked and pick them up on our way back to the hotel which was great after a long day of sightseeing. I definitely miss their baked goods already!

We go here all the time. It benefits from being a wee bit off the Main Street. Great food, reasonably priced, always find the staff are friendly. Ideally placed for a snack when skiing down from First. Shame the “one star warriors” can’t appreciate it for the great wee local bakery it is.

I went there on 19/10/25 for a coffee and snacks with my toddler and husband. I am from India. I was suggested about this place by my friend. However when I asked the lady at the billing counter about a salad she became furious and told me if I don’t like if then I shouldn’t buy it and then she put it back inside the showcase!! I was stunned. Then I asked for a coffee with oat milk and she made it with cow milk!!! I was served coffee in a small cup!!!!! It was yaak!!! This lady had racist attitude!! Poor fat lady doesn’t know what is hospitality is about! Asians should avoid this cafe as they are unprofessional. They talk nicely with people speaking French and of course with Europeans. Come on my country is India and it is extremely rich and we have money to spend that’s why we travel places. Never underestimate and Indian. We can be brown but we are culturally rich educated beautiful and accommodating and of course we don’t disrespect other races and religions.

Stopped by for a quick lunch while visiting Gstaad/Lauenen. It was very busy but that's to be expected given it's proximity to Gstaad train station and central location in the promenade. Plus, it was featured in the Bollywood movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge (DDLJ) so it's very popular with bollywood movie fans! Overall, the food was alright. The staff was nice. We had Carrot cake slice, americano, hot chocolate, tuna fish sandwich, and tomato mozzarella sandwich.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This café in Gstaad, located on the promenade, is the perfect spot to take a break. Enjoy their delicious coffee and food while watching people leisurely stroll by. We tried the baguette, quiche, croissant, coffee, some pastries and ratatouille—everything was fantastic! The café is also renowned for its bread. The staff are incredibly friendly, adding to the pleasant experience. You can park your car in the nearby street. Bonus: it’s also a famous DDLJ spot! Highly recommend stopping by.

I had, from there, the most tastiest bread in Switzerland. Their bread and pastries were delicious! They serve decent coffee and it's a pleasure to sit in this café. It's much cheaper than in a big city. It is the perfect place to make a break in Gataad.

The best Chicken Patties I ever had is here, simply delicious and also bought some of their own brand chocolates which are also too good and the best thing about this shop is when I returned back to buy another Chicken Patties, they told me sorry, they didn’t have any more but when I pointed them on the tray, they told me it made yesterday and if I need it still, I have to pay only the half price. Loved their loyalty… And half priced patties are too delicious as well…

Been here twice and it’s my favourite bakery in all of Gstaad. The chocolate mousse is really rich & creamy in texture & is delicious. It leaves you craving for more. The jam tart was also really good.

It is located just few minutes from the main station. They offer a good choice of sweet and salty snacks. The service is good and friendly. What I personally do not like is that you have to pay separately the sweet or salty snacks from the drinks.

Absolutely delightful! Great decor and ambience. The deserts were fabulous! I ordered Grand Marnier mousse and the Orange Schocci mouse with a latte! The service was exceptional! I came at the end of the day, every time i walked by Monnier 1912, it was packed! I would absolutely prioritize returning and having this experience next time I am in Bern!

A waitress came over to our table, laughed at us, and even pointed her finger at us in a disrespectful way. She is in a lower position than me, yet she felt entitled to treat us like that. This is located in the back streets near Bern train station. Great place to have breakfast. The pastry is tasty and so appealing. Very tasty coffee and fresh orange juice. They also have special tasty odours. The staff is very nice and friendly. Recommended for a tasty breakfast.

Yummiest cupcakes in Bern!! scones are amazing.. very much like the decoration and the different flavors this place offers. However its a tiny bit more expensive than the other places, but worth it. I recommend the hazelnut crunchy cupcake and the scones 😋

We walked past this place in Bern and just had to go in! The cupcakes looked so cute and good, we just had to have it! I had the mini vanilla cupcake and my husband had the mini chai cupcake. The cupcake itself was decent to good. But the frosting on it was really really good!! This little store is actually part of a bigger clothing store which we also pursued whilst enjoying our cupcake. There wasn’t anywhere to sit from what we could tell. The person serving us wasn’t the best but that’s okay, we all have our days. And well a good cupcake forgives all!

Really nice staff, the cupcakes are very pretty and very tasty. The price is Fr.5 for a big cupcake and Fr.2 for a small cupcake, it is a bit expensive but the taste of the cupcakes was extraordinary so I understand. The staff was really nice, we unfortunately had to make them wait a little bit but they were very understanding and patient. Thank you so much!

If you want to try an ice cream flavour before choosing, they might give you a try but just as a "favour". I am ok with doing a queue but expect a good service once my turn. This is a old Brand store for chocolate but i didn't try their chocolate. i tried their chocolate coffee and ice cream. there is no desk to sit and eat, pls note. There is just a little bar table near the window. the coffee is for my dad i think is good and the ice cream is super good. but the price is a bit too much.

I recently visited this shop for a chocolate ice cream, but the experience was very disappointing. One staff member was visibly annoyed when I asked about the flavor and when I took a few seconds to choose. She also tossed the spoon carelessly, and one even hit me, which was completely unprofessional. During checkout, she avoided eye contact and didn’t say thank you. However, another staff member who handled my topping was polite. Still, the attitude of the first staff member made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable. I hope the shop improves its customer service and staff training.

They are similar to Laderach, but the difference from what I know is that they're family owned and the cholcates are hand produced as well. The dark chocolate sea salt one was really good.

My wife likes her morning coffee so I walked up the street and found this place open. The coffee was great and the pastries were even better. Went back again for the next two days! Very pleasant staff.

Most importantly it was opened on a Sunday morning which many places aren’t. Great spot for a quick bakery and the staff are lovely and accommodating. There is seating inside and outside. If you’re looking for something g quick next to a scenic bridge this is your spot. Be sure to tell them if you are sitting inside or outside or take away.

Great crepes! I had the ham, cheese, and tomato sauce crepe and it instantly brought me back to my childhood, just like Grandma used to make! They also have a large selection of gelato and espresso/coffee. It's probably one of the cheapest places in Bern to get a good lunch. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a quick breakfast, or to sit down and enjoy their lunch.

pistachio ice cream is my favorite. the flavor is really strong , but not artificial at all. The texture is super creamy and smooth. Considering the quality, the price is quite reasonable for this city. Overall, it’s a great choice for pistachio ice cream lovers

My partner and I were on our way to our favourite gelato place but ended up entering Cuckoo after overhearing a conversation between a son and his father. He said that this place had the best Gâteau à la crème from Murten in Bern. We had to try it. And we ended up getting ice cream as well. It turns out we ended up finding our favourite ice cream. Had caramel and pistachio ice cream. The staff today was also incredibly lovely and kind.

We tried a few flavours of their ice cream and all are super nice. The rich and creamy texture makes it a great treat on recent hot sunny days:) Highly recommend the pistachio flavour in particular!!

It was expensive, but what isn't in Switzerland? The area was beautiful if a little hard to find via Google Maps, and the options were decent. I was given something other than I ordered but that may have been language barrier, so no fault of theirs! But the crèpe itself was only ok, a little gummy, and it was served on a cutting board that had mold on several places (see photo). It was a fine option if you're there, but I wouldn't go out of your way for it like we did!

Delicious creps! Wonderful fast and kind service! Only a 2 minute walk from the train station. I definetly recommend stopping by if you need a quick snack during your connection. We loved the Thon and the Végétarienne.

Not really much to offer. They were basically out of half the menu. I got a salted caramel creme which basically was an empty crepe with a bit of a caramel drizzle. Taste was acceptable.

I don't know what is the meaning behind the name though. Because it was absolutely made with love. Was very excited about the cow's milk on the poster, but this ice cream was a total meh. Two stars because it's __extremely__ overpriced! Like $10 a cup? Are you forreal? What do they feed the cows, holy water? Their location is unbeatable so one star for that, but that's about it. Flavor was non-memorable. If you do go, get the plain yogurt. It was the best of the batch.

I visited them today and I did not like their treatment at all. In the beginning, a person would receive you at the door and take you to the empty table. I was in the queue, and when my turn came, he said, “Wait in a bad mood.” Enter two families before me and they come after me ,I tell him I want Coffee and dessert, and I want a menu, and all I asked for the menu from them, they say wait knowing that all the other people are treated differently from me, and after waiting half an hour in order to take the order, I asked the waitress about the type of dessert, and then she did not take the order from me in a disgusting way and walked and left me, after that I could not stand it The way they treat me, is it because I am an Arab that I am treated in this way?!!!!!

Super thankful that this place opens at 6am. I was so jetlagged and hungry as I came from Singapore the previous day. They check your covid certificate before you can dine in which is very good. Cinammon bun was super delicious, probably the best I had during my trip. I also ordered hot chocolate wherein the staff gave me a cup of hot milk and a packet of Caotina which when mixed tastes so nice. Great to warm you during a cold winter morning. She also gave me a glass of tap water for free which was very nice. I spent around 5-6CHF for breakfast here which was very affordable in Swiss standards. They serve all sorts of bread and coffee. Lovely neighborhood cafe!

After a long walk along the banks of the River Aare today, we decided to check out the much-hyped Gelateria Di Berna for some ice cream. It’s one of those rare spots in Bern where people actually line up to order—quite an unusual sight here. We joined the queue and got our turn after waiting for about 15–20 minutes. They had a wide variety of flavors to choose from. I went with a mix of Pistachio and Chocolate, while my colleagues tried Panna Cotta, Alphonso, and a few others. The pricing was reasonable—CHF 4 for a small and CHF 5.5 for a large. Overall, while the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype, it wasn’t disappointing either. The ice cream was good, just not extraordinary. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering suggestions along the way.

Very long waiting times and i could accept that if the Gelato was especially good. But i have to be disappointed. It was Bland and the Portions were Small. I ordered some of the more "Special" Flavours, if you can call it that and there was very little of the advertised Aroma Present. For example i ordered Strawberry Balsamico which i Still remember to be disappointed by sometimes. Go if you want. Theres probably also some good Gelato on their Menu. Just don't expect much...

I ate here twice when visiting Interlaken. The service was excellent. I felt totally comfortable and at home. The food was great. I had the salmon poke bowl and the goat cheese poke bowl. The dishes were both so creative and tasty. The gelato was also delicious. And they have good coffee. I would highly recommend this cafe. Best of luck with the cafe!

The best place to eat that we visited in Switzerland so far. From salads, focaccia, soups to desserts and the best chocolate ever tasted!!! And you can select what you want of the ingredients. We came once for lunch and met the owner who greeted us so warmly and funny that we had a blast. Next day we had to return for more when we discovered he makes the best chocolate. Top notch cafe , top notch location and amazing customer service make it a perfect recipe for amazing times!! Little bit of a tourist trap. The building and inside is beautiful, however the customer service was not great. The woman who served us was on FaceTime the entire time and it even took her a few minutes to acknowledge me. When I asked her if I can try out 1 flavour before purchasing, she didn’t seem too happy. Whilst ordering some ice cream and hot chocolate she kept trying to rush me to pay so she could resume her FaceTime. Unprofessional and not very friendly

Bit of a hit or miss. Service was great, let me take my time with what to choose, massive selection so there was too much to choose from! I had a panini although it lacked much filling and was very salty. When the staff heated it up it was very hard and tough to eat, perhaps it was over cooked. As well as this it was very dry, like I said with the lack of filling, could have done with more pesto and/or cream cheese as it was largely just Parma ham and rocket. So with it being tough and dry it wasn’t that pleasant to eat. Although the sweet pastry’s were incredible! Not only do they look fantastic but tasted good too and really fresh. I didn’t get the chance to taste the chocolates but they looked amazing and seemed very popular with other customers. The staff were also very good at advising myself and others with allergy concerns. All the food in my opinions was fairly reasonably priced given the classy vibe and appearance of the shop, although the drink prices were steep so I avoided that.

I'm not vegan and can't smell/taste cinnamon due to long covid, yet somehow the zimtschnecke still blew me away after a day of hiking. Moist, lots of filling, and you'd never know it's vegan. During other visits also had the chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie, and they were also excellent. Highly recommend this bakery to satisfy your sweet tooth. Prices are generally 3 to 7 francs.

Thank you to the Polish lady!! I had a wonderful experience at Qraft in Grindelwald! The café has a warm, inviting vibe with stunning mountain views perfect for relaxing with a great coffee. What truly made my visit special was the exceptional service from a lovely Polish lady working there. She was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We had a lovely chat, and I mentioned I’m from London hopefully she gets the chance to visit sometime soon! She didn’t know it at the time, but I have a large social media following, and I’ll definitely be recommending Qraft to them especially highlighting the fantastic service I received. We spent 2 days in Paris before coming to Switzerland and this is the first one that came anywhere close to a Paris bakery. I got a chocolate croissant which was delicious but they also had a cinnamon croissant with a coarse sugar on top. We left with those 2 items but went back in for another of the cinnamon croissant. Definitely the best baked good that I have ever consumed. I would come back to Grindewald just for that.

The old lady was rude from the moment she saw us which was unlike the rest of my experience at Grindelwald. I’m glad I told her she was rude and I wish I’d told her that she could try to find healthier ways to deal with whatever bad feeling she was having that day. Was craving an ice cream after a long hot day out, and we skipped the ice cream kiosk on the way back from Grindelwald First to try this (as we saw a queue the previous day). I regretted not reading the reviews first though, as the ice cream was simply not tasty even though they charged more than some of the other ice cream parlors in the area. We ordered Puffo and Apple flavors, both tasted like toothpaste/medicine. Perhaps other more normal flavors would be better. Very disappointed.

I bought waffle with banana and cookies & cream ice cream topping. It was very delicious and very filling at a very reasonable price. Lady was very nice and very helpful. I almost forgot my travel documents on table and fortunately she saw it can called me back else I would have been in trouble.

The woman serving was an absolute sweetheart. I'd give all the stars to her! The hot chocolate was perfect and I'd buy it again any time. The liquor cherries in chocolate were also lovely. We also bought a mix of chocolates. Most were good (not great/to match the price). I'm sorry they don't have normal whisky chocolates too. The ones they have with smokey whisky was like eating smoke. But the biggest disappointment was that all chocolates with half of walnut on them had rancid taste, which is unacceptable, given the price.

Products looked great but service awful. Lady at Counter very rude and dismissive. Very slow with coffee / made wrong order twice and then criticised our choices. Not helpful and ruined the experience. We had asked for a kaffee and then clarified ‘Americano’. An espresso was made and then rolled eyes when we asked for an americano. When asked for milk with americano - stated to us that that’s not an americano then.. when we asked for a latte macchiato she started stating it is very different to espresso macchiato but since order had already been made wrong for americano we were easy going saying would take either espresso macchiato or latte machiato and then she was very condescending stating how different they were when we were just trying to be easy going after mistake had already been made.

Came across this place and of course needed to try their chocolate ice cream. 71% Nobile tastes perfect. Enjoyed the flavours of the chocolate with a right balance of sweetness. Texture is very smooth and creamy. Small Pistachio bits give it a nice texture as you let the pistachio ice cream melt in your mouth. Definitely enjoyed it and a very good price of 5.5chf
