Almost a marmite location. Our family loved the variety and number of options for a tasty drink and treat. We can recommend the raspbeŕry sorbet, very sour sharp and dry ... great wake-me-up on roids. Torn seating could be easily replace in the booths, they are making plenty of cash here £6.90 for a coffee.

I've visited Jannetta's twice now & in my opinion it can't be beaten. The sweeter flavours are rich and luxurious, with the more tart & fruity items providing some much needed refreshment. Overall this place offers a truly decadent experience you won't want to miss.

Everyone raves about this place so I had to try. Interior is cute and highly Instagram-able. Yes I loved that it had so many different flavours but not everyone was friendly. I almost felt embarrassed trying out a 2nd or 3nd flavour. And when I got my double scoop gelato, it was melting even before I stepped outside! I did come again to give it another shot: service was a little better with only 5 pax in line and the gelato did melt a little. It's alright, it is the only place that serves up this wide variety of flavours but not worth the fuss for me.

Millions of options to choose from, so grate! The Lady who served us was so helpful pairing the flavours together. The gelato just like in italy. Sea salt dark chocolate is well recommended.

Pretty good ice cream considering other options around but not outstanding especially if you have tried ice cream in other (European) countries. So for the day to day ice cream it’s ok but not the “must go to” for tourists.

This is worth the stop and the slightly higher prices. Gelato is delicious and we tried many flavors over our 3 day visit to St Andrews. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Nice warm day here in St Andrews and saw lots of people walking around with ice creams so thought ‘why not’? Lovely little shop with the biggest selection of flavours on offer, it was absolutely packed with punters. The shops nice and clean and tidy and the staff lovely and friendly. Ice cream absolutely beautiful along with the cone. Not cheap but well worth the money especially on a hot day. I had coffee and caramel ice cream and coconut, free chunk of tablet (I think) with the coffee which was the nicest coffee I’ve ever had!

Such a cute place. A cappuccino for my wife to warm her up and some great ice cream for me because... it's ice cream. 😀 I really enjoyed the light coconut taste of the Raffaello. I wish I had noticed the Bubble Waffle before I'd ordered. Looks so fun!

Has to be the most instagrammable place in Fife too! We visit regularly and have never once had a bad experience. Lovely staff, ice cream, cakes and the best hot chocolate around!

Customer service is non existent at this place. We'd already paid for 2 ice creams. My friend went in and asked to buy a cone for the tub I'd bought. They were not listened to and ordered to the back of the queue. Rude! I will not be visiting this establishment again because of how my friend was spoken to. Learn some manners and may consider giving you my business again but until then I will be stearing clear!

Great wee sweet shop! Takes me back to my childhood with all the different jars of sweets, everything that you could imagine. They serve Jannettas ice cream, and as though they don't have as much choice as Jannettas they have a great variety available and without the queues of Jannettas 👍 decent prices and the Staff were pleasant.

Lucky for me vanilla was sold out so I chose the raspberry ripple which was incredible! My new favourite ice cream shop in Scotland

I can safely say this is the most visited place for our family almost on a daily basis. Prices are very good. Portions generous and the selection considerable. I myself can't always get on with ice cream so went for the lemon sorbet option which is possibly the best sorbet I've ever tasted. Highly recommend dropping in here if staying in the area or visiting the harbour. Can't think of a nicer place to enjoy treats away from the hustle and bustle.

This wonderful little shop is just amazing! We found it by accident on a detour and my children were thrilled. The man and lady were the nicest people you could meet. They even made our border collie fall in love with them, and their shop. So much choice, but to top it off such caring, lovely owners. We look forward to visiting you again in the future 😊🥰 Thank you for making our trip to Pittenweem extra special.

We had Raspberry Ripple, Cherry, Mint, White Chocolate, Peach, Vanilla & Oreo and Lemon Sorbet - all of them were so delicious! We’ll come back tomorrow 😊

Stunning little shop, lovely ice creams! Wouldn’t have found this if not for the ability to park up in the motorhome overnight at the nearby ‘crazy golf’ parking. Got to see one of the Scotties as well!

Old time classics - absolutely love coming back to this place, which never disappoints. Staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable whether it's food or wines. Try throwing in a French word here and then - they'll play along. Genuine cooking bursting with flavours. Don't be afraid to try some of the daily specials. Last time we tried leek salad - which had herbs and leek grown at their own garden - which made for an amazing starter full of flavour yet very light. Personally, I love the snails and then beef tartar which is prepared at the table and to your liking.

We had a lovely dinner at L’escargot bleu. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food was exceptional. The steak tartare is prepared table side and it is delicious.

My best meal this year and I go to a lot of restaurants. Especially recommend the tartare, the beauf boullione and the chocolate desert, not from this world!

I am appreciate that I finally visited here. I saved this place more than year, I think this one is best French restaurant in Edinburgh. First of all, £60pounds for 3 course is reasonable price. We enjoyed all starters, main menus and dessert. Especially I strongly recommend beef tartare for starter. We could pick the level of spicy, it was brilliant. For main course, they have special menu, we picked surf and turf. Lobster was amazing and pork was chewy, they were super delicious. Finally the dessert, we ordered 3 different things, but all great we can’t pick the best. All food menu was amazing.

Delicious food - had the crab and lobster starter special and hake fillet main. The service was relatively formal but friendly. The atmosphere is beautiful inside, especially the downstairs wine bar, which is very cosy! Would highly recommend if you enjoy French-influenced food. There is not a great variety of plant-based or vegan dishes, with only 1 vegetarian main on the menu when I visited. This may be expected considering the French influence, so a warning for vegan guests.

Wow! Obviously a popular place as we could only get an early dinner reservation at 5.45. Boy was it worth it! Quite honestly the best Starter I have ever had… surf and turf… scallop and pigeon breast ❤️ the venison and grouse was perfectly cooked and accompanied by mash and lardons with a side of buttered cabbage and beans from their own restaurant gardens. Husband had lamb shank from Bute after a blue cheese salad which as again home grown, fresh and delicious. The lamb was melt in the mouth and he wouldn’t share so I know how good it was! A shared cheese course was perfect before prunes in Armagnac and chocolate nemesis….both perfect on their own…but combined? Dessert of dreams….:don’t come here ….this place belongs to us!!

Let's start with the positives: the atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is friendly, and the service is good. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations, and the prices were not justified. We ordered the baked Camembert with cured meats, but the Camembert was essentially melted, and the quality of the cured meats was questionable. On top of that, the price was extortionate — we spent £90 for that dish and two glasses of wine. Overall, very disappointing.

Me and my colleague came here because we were staying in the premier inn next door. We wouldn’t be in a rush to go back unless in a similar situation. The service was okay, nothing above and beyond. My food was forgotten about and despite ordering before the people around me, it came out a while after theirs after asking where it had got to. The portion sizes were really small too considering I’d spent over £20 on my meal and side. You can see by the photos that the quality of the ‘Smothered Chicken’ isn’t something anyone would want to be served. I expected at least 1 regular piece of bacon on the top, but instead I got that tiny bit. The garlic bread tasted like it had just been defrosted and the chips were good, it’s a shame there was only a handful of them. The mac n cheese bites were also surprisingly nice. The toilets were, ok.

After Booking a meal deal at the premier Inn next door. (Brewer's fayre Restaurant). I was told that I couldn't add chicken to my burrito bowl. As it would incur a supplement. Which I was told by the manager this isn't listed on the menu but we charge for it here. I found this a little bit odd because I'd stopped in the premier Inn in Glasgow the night before and it didn't incur a supplement. Don't get me wrong but the food was good, the staff were lovely l but when you're paying when £26.99 for a meal deal, you expect a little bit more for your money considering a burrito bowl is only £10.29 and breakfast is £10.99 A pint is £4:45. Who's winning? Not me....

Lovely place, clean, spacious and caters for kids with a large, free sftplay area. The food was good with a decent menu but I ordered the curry and was left hungry. The portion size was ridiculously small with very little chicken and a watery sauce and some rice. I've been before and had much better meals for the same price.

Didnt bother ordering. Menu is very poor. Whoever it was serving was rude, and more interested in serving alcohol than serving customers waiting to order food for a family. Nice one brewers fayre. Safe to say we won't be back.

Our association block booked tables here for our breakfast. We found the self service breakfast to be ok. There was a large selection of hot food available including continental style food and you can eat as much or as little as you required so, it was good value for money. It did get busier the longer we stayed.

Would def recommend! Food was hot and tasty we ordered 4 fish and chips which arrived quickly. Indoor play area for children and comfortable seating at tables. Unlike a lot of places it is spacious and staff very friendly.

What a great little gem! Brilliant food, full of flavor and very high quality ingredients. We particularly enjoyed the fish dishes, but everything was great. I would also strongly advise to try their cocktails, their signature negroni was to die for!

Very lovely little restaurant, with excellent staff, a wonderful ambience and beautiful food. We had the 3 course dinner, sitting by the kitchen bar, which was very enjoyable watching the chefs prepare our food. Between the two of us, we were able to try each meat/seafood option, with the monkfish probably as our favourite. Would highly recommend as a special experience.

We really enjoyed our visit. We had the 5 course tasting menu. Every course was delicious. We particularly liked how fresh and light the dishes were. We will be back!

We had an excellent dinner and between the three of us we covered the vegetarian, pescatarian and meat options. Everything was delicious (I know because we shared forkfuls back and forth across the table!) with clear flavours and top notch ingredients. Cocktails were great too and service was friendly and helpful but never intrusive. This was our second visit and I'm pleased to say that it was even better than before.

A truly magnificent lunch today at the Little Chartroom .We opted for the set lunch and loved every bit of it,we tucked into Caramelised onion custard which was sublime,followed by Chalk stream trout and St brides guinea fowl. A lovely cheese course of Cashel blue paired with nectarine tarte tatin and honey. Finally our dessert was blood peach mousse which again was absolutely delicious. The sommelier talked us through the paired wines on each course which was so interesting to hear. A definite recommendation for anyone who is looking for a meal of exceptional quality at very affordable prices.

We had the five course tasting menu. There were six of us and it was the first time for all of us. We started with add on of oysters and the fried oyster was amazing. The food was innovative and creative with a couple of dishes that were quite different than I’ve ever had. The somm was quite helpful in helping picking us pick out a couple of nice bottles. Everyone raved about the cocktails that were served. Would highly recommend and look forward to return again

A great experience at The Little Chartroom. Had never been before and was not disappointed. For me the highlights were definitely the lamb saddle and the oysters. The oysters were so fresh, and almost creamy... could've eaten about 20 of them! The lamb was also perfectly cooked, and just delicious with a subtle blend of flavours that really allowed the lamb to shine - highly recommend! The venue itself was finished to a really high standard and gave a very sophisticated almost Scandinavian vibe. There wasn't too many other customers when we went and the staff were fantastic. Making sure we had everything we needed, being prompt cleaning up finished dishes. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious! The mini rhubarb pie was so good perfectly sweet and tart I could eat 20 easily and I was tempted. The coffee tower cream was so soft and fluffy. The strawberry tarts were good too! The actual strawberries on top were perfect. and on top of that everything looks amazing. Incredibly reasonable pricing, cheap compared to most bakery's

Traditional bakery with a nice twist of coffee for a £1 👍. Ths croissants were superb as was the malted multi-seeded whole meal bread Amazing flavours of seeds and nuts. This will be a regular stop, but get here early as they run out fast.

Such a cute spot throwing out some heavy hitting donuts. We got the local favorite which was the fudge donut and it was life changing. Not too sweet, great fluff, and great flavors. Definitely make a stop and get one or two or three!

WoW that was something I kept repeating as I tried their different pastries - the best coffee cream I have ever had and one of the best doughnuts ever - their pastries were so fresh and so well priced - I can come back to St Andrews only for this it was that good. Not very overpowering sweet and yet so fresh and tasty. Strongly recommend.

Had a steak pie and a yum yum. The pie reminded me of the pies I liked in Australia 😋 The yum yum was pretty good too, almost as good as one from Greggs! The young guy serving was delightfully helpful, so don't be influenced by the people who gave low scores for service here.

Just stopped in before they closed to treat our youngsters to a well deserved ice cream! The staff were super friendly (even though they were about to close)! By far the FRIENDLIEST ice cream shop we’ve ever been to, with AMAZING ice cream that tastes delicious. We will be back! Thank you! :)

I visited Luvians yesterday with my 8 and 10 year old while we were visiting the museums at St Andrews. We wandered around for maybe 30-40 minutes trying to find somewhere to eat as most of the cafes/restaurants were already full and had no seating left. Eventually we found this place which was very quiet, considering the busyness of other places. It had a nice atmosphere and the lady serving was very polite and friendly. We just ordered some toasties, pancakes, croissants, and a yum yum. All of which were very tasty. Nothing fancy, which is exactly what we were looking for, so we were pretty content. We unfortunately did not try the ice cream on this visit as we already had the sweets above, but we will definitely be back the next time we are in St Andrews. I also noticed on the wall that they have some nice painting/photos available to purchase. It's definitely worth visiting if you are looking for some nice simple food in a relaxed atmosphere at a very reasonable price.

I would rate higher if I could Impeccable service! I am coeliac and I have never revived such good customer service. The woman explained which flavours were suitable - then scraped the top layer of the ones I chose to protect against cross contamination. She washed her spoon, used a nee pack of spoons for me to use so it was clean. Cannot recommend more

Great ice cream, interesting flavours. The service could be more friendly and interactive. I said "thank you" at the end of the purchase and didn't get a "You're welcome or a "goodbye". Happy to give my money for good quality goods, but please, at least pretend you want to be there. Manners cost nothing and leave a lasting positive impression. Don't make me feel like I'm doing you a favour.

If you're going to ear ice cream behind a covid cordon outside in the rain it's gotta be good ice cream. And this place delivered. Really good choice of flavours - all the favourites and some fancy ones - and it's creamy, smooth and generally very delicious. They make a good cup of tea too.

Excellent flavour selection, and the place smells fantastic with the waffles and crepes. I'm still drooling a little. I loved the little toddler reading nook they have - the wonderful book selection kept my 4yo occupied for a long while. We'll definitely be coming back.

We had the most incredible takeaway we live in queensferry food traveled great. Food still hot and super tasty. Balmoral burgers were unbelievable will be getting again, dirty fries lived upto expectation. Quick delivery friendly staff/delivery driver too. 5STARS!! Will be recommending to friends.

I have just received a breakfast from here and the haggis I was given was still raw so was the link sausage the lorn sausage was so cheap and crappy it was filled with rock solid hard bits and nearly broke my tooth. The egg was hard, rubbery and tasted like it had been dropped in the toilet, 100% the worst breakfast I have ever received in my life. If I was the owner I'd be embarrassed with the quality of the food. You'd think with the prices they have they would be able to buy better quality ingredients. NEVER AGAIN.

Only went here as the place we had chosen in advance was closed. A quick trip to the bathroom reassured me of how clean this place is. The staff was super nice and rearranged the tables to allow for our larger group. Menu was simple and easy to read. Kids food arrived first pre cut which I loved. Rest of the food was timely and most important well above the quality expected at this price range. This was a very happy accidental meal. 5.5/5 will find an excuse to be back

Right genuine honest review of my experience, I was using the laundrette round corner and wanted to try this place for a while as the reviews are good so me and my 14 yo daughter popped in ,the minute I walked in i had bad vibes and should have left but we were starving so proceed to order pancakes and a bacon roll ,my daughter came bk from toilet and told me the sink was covered in urine so obviously it's being used as a urinal and the floor was covered in piss I'd have walked out but had already payed at this point ,as we waited i witnessed the 'cook' smoking a cigarette and not wash hands as well as the salon next door smoking right at the door with plooms of cigarette smoke blowing in ,my bacon roll was stale and bacon was tasteless with a thick layer of yellow margarine my daughters pancakes were no better as they tasted nothing like pancakes stodgy and been fried in the grease with all the other breakfast items just vile ,my coffee cup was so grubby I took a couple sips and we walked out left it all on table if you want to open a food establishment please at least practice basic food hygiene

Great wee Cafe in the centre of Rosyth, with good coffee, cracking scones and I had Loaded Fries that kept me stapped full beyond dinner. Went in on the hunt for a coffee and change of scenery while working and what a treat this was. Service was quick and staff polite, didn’t seem to mind me continuing to work either while I drank and ate. And less than a 5 minute walk away. I’ll be back.

The passion, skill and positive ethos are clear. You would pay double for far less in Edinburgh at anytime of the year. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We had such a lovely lunch here! A special shoutout to the lady (didn’t get her name) who baked all the sweet treats who talked us through the menu and had expert knowledge on all the ingredients in the desserts. Such lovely service and incredible bakes, 10/10 ☺️

Went to the Spring evening menu when visiting relatives and was blown away by the food. Not just the fabulous produce but the imagination of the chefs. Cannot recommend highly enough and will now be planning my visits round the dates of their special evenings. Exceptional

Lovely cafe at the bowhouse. Good value for the quality of food. Cake is amazing! Hot chocolate is made with dark chocolate and is therefore not super sweet.

I have visited the Bowhouse on a few occasions but mainly for the butcher or the shops, any time we have visited it has always been after breakfast or lunch and never been hungry enough to visit the café, but we made room on this occasion to grab a coffee and some goodies to go. Flat white was perfect and we picked up a focaccia, roast potato, cranberry and rosemary, oh my word, this was incredibly tasty and wish I picked up more, the bread was perfect, olive oil, lush and perfectly garlic and salty, but the roast potatoes, mmm then the balance of the sweet yet slightly tart cranberries was just incredibly moreish. The café is beautifully rust and chic, with an absolutely stunning viewing window out over the fields.

Arrived here late, and there were 2 slices of quiche/tart left as everything else was sold out. It was absolutely delicious. Best I've tasted, and it had strawberries in it, which surprisingly really worked. Will definitely make the effort to go back, even though it's almost 2 hours away. I'd say this is a gourmet food kind of place. The staff were really friendly and the owner was really nice. Would recommend to anyone going up that way.

Absolutely impeccable from the ingredients/menu to the service/vibe. I got the most stunningly delicious cannellini soup with the tastiest sourdough that has ever crossed my lips. 10/10 would recommend

Glad I walked further, past the main street in Newport-on-Tay and so found this lovely little cafe. Only had a coffee but it was good. Sat outside enjoying the views over the Tay estuary then went inside to get better wifi.

Such a lovely experience as always! The food is delicious and the staff were so kind and caring. I went in for a little pick me up after very little sleep last night and came away not only on a sugar high (My cake was huge) but also on an emotional high. The owner of the cafe made me feel so welcome and was my second arm pouring my juice when my little one fell asleep on me. The staff go above and beyond to make you have a lovely relaxing experience and I would highly recommend. x

Went today with my children and definitely not the standard you expect for the prices. £8.75 for a soggy microwaved macaroni pie, which is un-priced in the cake cabinet so I was very shocked at the bill, I thought that was absolutely craaazy it was only served with a handful of bagged salad and old grated carrot. Stale cake which they did apologise about but I just think for the prices you expect better. We thought the stale cake was just a mistake as it was the last few slices of that one but when we went to the counter to look at the tray bakes you could see mould starting to form on the mars bar crispy and a couple other tray bakes. NOTHING tasted fresh apart from the burger wrap. Needless to say we left without any cakes as we were totally put off.

Have been buying your lovely Scots pie in Aberdeen for some time and always thought they were 5 star. It appears you have changed the pastry why? They most certainly don’t taste the same.

The cakes are delicious but the queue isn’t very well organised and then the staff are super rude to you about it. My pastry had a mouldy strawberry and two staff members were very rude about switching it for a different one saying “no it’s not” “I know I tried to tell her 🙄” right where I could hear them 👎. Won’t be back.

Very nice cakes, friendly service and great selection of chocolate and choccie gifts. The “Famous Fudge Donut” is amazing and not to be missed!! We had coffee, tea and cakes and all were great.

The macaroni pie was delicious. However, we were disappointed with the service. We intended to dine in, but our order was packed as takeaway without asking. When we tried to sit down to eat, we were told we couldn’t dine in because it was considered a takeaway order—even though we had paid the additional fee to have the food heated. It was confusing and took away from the experience. Wouldn’t recommend due to rude staff.

Best cakes in the UK! We had a cake and drink in the cafe then took a cheeky take away for a cake in the evening too! Coffee Towers and Cream Meringues are the best!!

Delicious thick tasty traditional lentil soup and the famous fudge donuts were insanely good as always. Thick with fudge topping, stuffed with a light creamy custard filling in such featherlight dough. The strawberry Danish was excellent as well.

Really disappointed with our recent trip.to the Cupar cafe. Arrived at 9.15am to find the floors were dirty, tables needed to be cleaned, and the breakfast rolls were disappointing.

Our 1st visit to this absolute gem of a place, and it certainly won't be our last. Very warm welcome as soon as we walked in. Staff are lovely. Whole place is super clean and really nicely decorated. The views from the cafe, over the Forth to Edinburgh, are stunning, especially on a glorious sunny day. Can honestly say the gelato is the best I've had outside of Italy. They have a huge selection of Italian pastries, giant biscuits, cannoli with lots of different fillings, as well as lots of other delicious treats. The food we saw being served to the table next to us (loaded fries, toasted panini) looked yummy and good portion sizes. Can't wait to go back and try lots more this wonderful cafe has to offer. Highly recommend.

We came here for lunch after a wee walk near the Dalgety Bay. I was surprised with the size of fish for the fish and chips and it was tasty and not oily. The Spaghetti Bolognese has authentic beef in it and I loved it! The place is kid’s friendly, I’ve also seen a group of elderly people going there for some sweets (gelato ice cream, sundae, etc…) and I observed the staff already knew what they wanted, which means they are a regular customer. Overall, I am happy with the experience here.

First visit this morning and was most taken with the cakes and the types of fresh cannelloni. A good choice of Gelato with loads of flavours. We settled for a small breakfast and we’re well satisfied. We will be back

We had a lovely breakfast at Ale and Pate in Dalgety Bay. Everything was freshly made, tasty, and there was plenty of choice for everyone. The kids especially loved the orange juice—it was a hit! After breakfast, they were so excited to grab an ice cream from the display, which was a great treat to finish off the visit. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Second time I've popped in for a full Scottish breakfast and I'm not gonna lie ...... one of the best breakfasts you will find in the area and at a great price. Has everything!!! And is a FEAST ...... nobody leaves here hungry!

I've only tried the gelato from Ale & Pate's, but it's easily the best in the region. Plenty of options, tastes fresh and authentic. Great friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Best Viennese Whirl I've ever had! Kids enjoyed a homemade empire biscuit and toffee crisp ice cream. Lovely friendly staff and parking right out side. Will definitely be back. Jo

Friendly staff and delicious mini cheesecakes. One of these tasty treats is enough to be shared by two people. Slightly on the expensive side, but then they are made fresh in the store. My wife and I are of the same opinion... they are a guilty pleasure, plain and simple. That's why we always seem to stop by on our way past whenever we are travelling through Crossgates. Our favourite is the Peppermint Aero cheesecake!

Um...What can I say about this place?Passed by numerous times and saw a queue of people.Finally decided to venture inside to be met with a cheery bunch of people and a wall of luxurious looking(but small)cheesecakes.I choose a caramel one.The lady boxed it nicely then told me the price😵Although it was a nice cheesecake and just big enough for two I didn't think it justified £4.95.However it is worth a look in just to see for yourself

cheesecake is not worth the price. tasted off and the biscuits were soggy. went into the shop and was taken aback at the stench of off cheese. first time i went a few months ago i was given a milkshake with no milk in it but i shrugged it off as a mistake as the worker was quite young but the cheesecake was horrible this time and the shop was quite dirty. dont waste your money.

The owner worked with my schedule to bake a cheesecake for my wedding. He offered to work with my officiant and drop the cheesecake at the officiants address. I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 because the cheesecake was already cut…we couldn’t do our cake cutting because of it which was really disappointing. It could have been a misunderstanding. On the other hand, guest were able to enjoy the cheesecake and loved it.

The cheesecakes might look small at first, but they're definitely big enough for two people. We tried the Turkish delight cheesecake which was lovely but a bit rich for me. We also tried the Mars bar brownie. The Mars bar bit was, well, a Mars bar, but the brownie bit actually tasted of dark chocolate and wasn't overly sweet. I could have just eaten a tray of it the brownie mix.

First time here. Popped in after our breakfast at down the hatch. We arrived for it first opening. There is a wide variety of cheesecakes to choose from. I struggled to decide which one I wanted. In the end I went for Cookie Monster and raffaello eclair. My wife went for a ferrero rocher cheesecake. We were also greedy and had a milkshake each. I chose the jammy dodger and the Mrs went for happy hippo. Both cheesecakes were very sweet and rich. The base held well. The filling was much creamier than other cheesecakes that I’ve had - more of a gooey texture. They were also deceivingly big as at first the roundness make them look smaller. 1 cheesecake for someone with a small appetite might be too much. Despite the size, I’d say that £4.95 for each cheesecake is a little pricey. The milkshakes were surprisingly tasty. Usually “luxury milkshakes” don’t really taste like the sweet that they mix in but these actually did. They were also quite filling. Finally, the eclair tasted nice but the texture of the pastry was stale. I’ve certainly had better eclairs before. The staff were quite friendly but perhaps could be a bit more knowledgeable about the products they sell. For example I asked them where they got the ice cream from and the girl’s response was ‘it’s vanilla’. Overall I’d say 4 stars is fair, maybe even leaning towards the more generous side, especially considering having to pay near enough £23. Thankfully I don’t live nearby or else I’d be fat and skint.

Why do places who make Artisan cheesecakes make them with the cheapest ingredients for the base. Thes base is just as important as the topping Digestive biscuit, butter and sugar its so boring for the price you charge I would expect it to be at least baked as it makes it so much tastier. I had the raspberry and white chocolate and it was very artificial tasting i think the only fresh raspberry in it was the one on the top.

My brother really enjoyed both the mint chocolate chip and cream mint ice cream, and I really enjoyed the chocolate hazelnut!

A super cake for a 21st - Harry Potter theme, very tasty and generous portions. Highly recommended. Also a 60th Birthday cake. They copied a photo to match it to my husband and dog they love hill walking.

This is an amazing bakery/ cake maker who clearly understands how to build client base. Having phoned round several bakers trying to get small afternoon t sized cakes for a store opening in St Sndrews . Without any success at all.. even the “famous” baker could not supply.( their heads should roll!!!!! This sweet little company came up trumps. Without hesitation they listened to the brief and agreed a time for completion. 24hrs later our order of cakes and biscuits were picked up. Well done for the effort and standard You deserve the five stars and my order my hubbies 60 th cake Well done

Tried a cup cake from ash's shop in ladywynd and it was heavenly. Great job temptation bakery. I know where to go for a birthday cake now. Amazing

I've been hyping this bakery up for a while and have been left disappointed on three occasions after trying their pasteries. At first, I thought it was due to my poor timing, as my first visit was late in the afternoon. Though each time, the pasteries have been tasting stale and unpleasant. Certainly not worth the price tag attached. Although masked with delicious icings and topping, it can't quite hide the unpleasant textures of the pastery in general. On a happy note, the staff are lovely, and the bakery is very aesthetically pleasing.

Update - September 2022 (below). I'm a regular at the Dundee store and I have to say it is the best bakery I have ever been to. Both their sweet and savoury pastries are delicious, the strawberries they stock from Seahills Farm are fantastic, too! My favourite pastries are their stuffed cinnamon swirls (brownie stuffed, hazelnut stuffed, banana frangipane stuffed) so many options! Strawberry cheesecake croissant is a favourite of my mums. Come with an appetite though, one pastry is big enough to be an entire main meal (which is great!). The staff are very friendly and accommodating, a couple of our pre orders had a wee mistake but they rectified them immediately and were very kind. Their bread loaves are also a very generous size and really fresh. They also stock baking ingredients and pre-made salads, and much more! My favourite bakery hands down! Although this place is my favourite bakery north of the Firth of Forth, I would not recommend doing a preorder at all. I have made a total of 5 preorders (which you have to pay for in advance via payment link via text) and 4 of them have either been wrong, missing items or they have been put in for the wrong date and haven't been there upon our arrival.

The pastries were £4-£5 per item. They were very stale, definitely baked at least the day before… unacceptable for the price and bakery - like biting into coal. Visited on a Sunday so this could be why. The coffees were really nice hence the 2 star instead of 1.

Pastries are absolutely delicious! My favourite are the stuffed pain au chocolat's and stuffed cinnamon swirls (pictured below). I'd recommend putting in a pre-order if there's something you really want. Only reason I've knocked off a star is because I've done multiple pre-order before and quite a lot have been overlooked or wrong. Recently I've tried to pre-order but been told the item is subject to change, so it's kind of not possible to pre-order at times, which is slightly confusing. However, I can't fault the pastries and cakes themselves, always yummy.

What can I say - the best bakery in the region! Such a great treats to your... Well... Soul, I'd say. Be it sweet or sour - one must pay a visit to Newport Bakery! Also, now that they have coffee - it is perfect place to grab some treats and enjoy the scenery of mighty Tay! I come here often from Dundee, since Newport is so peaceful...

Lovely place, but for the best selection aim to visit in the AM. Nice selection of speciality bread and large selection of lovely cakes. Highly recommend their granola mix bags.

I bought two things today, a roast beef croissant and a Banoffee Cruffin. The rocket was limp and grey, the beef was dry with a dried out, black edge to it and the croissant was stale. And then the banoffee cruffin was inedible. Leaking oil all over your hands, the brown thing around the outside (whatever that was) was bitter, tasted burnt and had a jerky like flavour to it, and the banana filling on the inside tasted like semi fermented banana - and not in a good way. I so want this place to be good, but on this experience, it seems a lot of style over substance. I'll try again (with different things) and hope it is better.

I normally love the food in baynes but the black pudding breakfast roll is awfull got it one Sunday it was like a brick but thought they had an issue as the woman had to bin all the bacon for some reason so thought i would try it again but same one bit was crunchy and the other bit was full of oil definitely won't give it a 3rd try will stick to my Lorne sausage.

Shop is always busy and with good reason. Food is always good quality and quantity best pricing on the high street for picking kids something. We always get the sausage roll and yum yum / doughnut deal for £1.60 before heading to the park.

Lovely bakery on the high street. Plenty of choice from pastries to pasties,cakes, fondant fancies and much more. The store is well laid out and very reasonable prices. The double chocolate muffins are a real treat. The eclairs we delicious and the custard slice was divine. Lovely staff, polite and patient whilst you decide what treat to indulge in

Sherry’s Creations is an amazing bakery which I have been going to since it opened as my family loves their unique chocolate cookies. We have ordered multiple birthday cakes as well as just going in for a few sweet treats, the staff are so friendly and professional and they make you feel welcome as soon as you go in. The bakery itself is very clean and well organised and the prices are very affordable considering the amount of effort that goes into the food itself. I really couldn’t fault Sherry’s Creations and will probably be in again in a couple of weeks to place my next order.

I love this woman! I asked her I day before Christmas to make a box lunch as a Christmas gift, just a detail. And honestly she was so patient and kind! This afternoon teas from this shop are excellent and well presented. We had afternoon tea gifted to us, for three people, and we will still be eating it for supper tonight. What a marvellous plate full. Delivery driver, I am sure, is the same hard working person I saw washing dishes in the corner of the shop when I went to order my sisters gift a few weeks ago! The tea on both the above occasions comprised different sandwich fillings and cakes, no repartition here. Thanks so much will definitely be a customer again. Marvellous meal from a great cook.

I’ve used Sherry a number of times and never been disappointed. The Mother’s Day boxes were a huge hit with my mum and mother in law, very well presented and delicious. The afternoon teas are brilliant value for money and Sherry will cater to all your needs. I highly recommend Sherry’s Creations.

Lovely handmade, wee decorative items, all from the nearby beaches on sale too. Did I mention the lovely ice cream? Highly recommended if you're visiting Crail.

I use baynes regularly, I cycle a lot and I find the baynes really useful as a mid cycle stop. The quality is much better than the competition. In this era of covid it makes a safe stop instead of a cafe.

Customer service from one staff member was absolutely shocking rude and made me feel like a child. Infact it was so bad the other staff member got embarrassed. However the pleasant person served me in the end and the food was as good as always Would have been a five based on food alone.

Ordered a delivery for my kids 2 and a half hours later called them to see ware it was to be told that it was on its way a hour later the shop was closed with no call to say what happend and a terrible attitude on the phone before hand

Delicious pancakes and well worth the money for the portion sizes. They forgot to put the flake on one of our orders but instead of adding it to the current order they gave us a fresh stack on the house. Fantastic service and will be going back!

Don't order through Just Eat Ordered 2 creps at 8:50 and got a text saying that it was going to be delayed till around 10:30 (They close at 10) I tried to cancel and just eat said I won't get a refund. Called the establishment and I explained I wanted to cancel because it's been delayed and I can't wait over an hour and 30 minutes for 2 pancakes. I got excuses saying that it was just eat who said it was late and not them. Why would just eat text me for absolutely no reason saying its late( this was after I canceled it and then was told it wasn't late and was about to be delivered) I'm then told my £20 might not possibly get refunded and if it did it would take 3-5 working days. So I have no food and I'm £20 down First and last time ordering from here. Just ordered from somewhere else and it was here 20 minutes later

Dropped in here on the way walking home, and decided to get an Oreo milkshake, absolutely delicious! Staff were super friendly, and I love the aesthetic of the place, will definitely be back to try all their other sweet treats!
