Bakery
Picarones are a delightful Peruvian treat that perfectly blends history and flavor. These fluffy, deep-fried fritters are crafted from a mix of mashed sweet potatoes and squash, giving them a distinct taste that sets them apart from ordinary donuts. Traditionally served drizzled with chancaca syrup—a rich concoction made from unrefined sugar often infused with hints of orange peel or cinnamon—picarones make for an irresistible dessert option.

(Translated by Google) A rest area just beyond the crowds. This picarones restaurant seems to be family-run. When I went, it cost 4 soles for 4 or 5. Locals also frequent the restaurant, and as I looked around, customers beckoned me over, saying the food was delicious. It's a great place with a great atmosphere. The pizzas were drizzled with honey that had a similar flavor to brown syrup, and the dough was very light and fried in clean oil, so I ate the whole thing by myself. It was delicious.

Turrones Doña Pepa de Santo Domingo is a delightful nougat that carries with it a rich history and deep cultural significance. Originating from the miraculous story of Josefa Maraminillo, affectionately known as Doña Pepa, this sweet treat was created as an expression of gratitude after she was healed by El Señor de los Milagros in Lima.
(Translated by Google) I just bought one and it is delicious (Original) Acabo de comprar uno y está rico
Jonapher — Google review
(Translated by Google) I had never tried them, since it was the first time I visited Peru and I found them by mere chance when attending mass in the Nazarenas. I didn't know that the story of nougat was linked to the Lord of Miracles. The store is very well located, on Tacna Avenue. The candy itself is delicious, the only recommendation is to improve the coating with that plastic that adheres to the top of the nougat and makes it difficult to remove so it crumbles easily.
Miguel S — Google review
(Translated by Google) Good nougat shop in the perfect location, in front of the Church of the Nazarenas, I will definitely buy one when they take the Lord out for their procession in October. Peruvian restaurant
Mayta Restaurante has gained recognition for its innovative approach to traditional Peruvian cuisine, earning a place on Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list. Chef Jaime Pesaque's transition from casual dining to fine dining has elevated dishes like ceviche, with the renowned cebiche amazonico showcasing unique flavors such as Amazonian ginger and charapita chile.
The restaurant’s design was impressive—almost like dining in a jungle. Today’s ceviche was made with Amazonian fish, fresh and delicate in texture. The main course was seafood paired with a bean sauce, plus some fried sides that gave it a smoother taste. Dessert was visually creative with a sweet-and-tangy flavor. Loved it.

Food:4.5. Presentation came first than the taste. Tried their tasting menu, 998 pen/person. Firstly the presentation was decent, almost every dish came like an art work, with nice decor and good looking. Secondly the food was overall good. Yet some of them were average, more like some simple cooking style on local veggies, and the sauce was not great. There was one dish (the one with all red, green, black colors was very creamy and salty, didn’t enjoy it at all). It has 3 mains, but it came more like tapas. Desert was okay. Vibe is great and the house looks amazing. A nice dining experience.

This place is a must! If you love food as much as we do, you’ll be in heaven. Everything was amazing — the atmosphere and especially Oscar made our stay such a pleasure. We couldn’t decide what to order because everything sounded so delicious, and Oscar helped us choose perfectly. I’ve never eaten so much in my life, and I have absolutely no regrets!

This resturant stood out to me a lot during my trip to Peru. The service and atmosphere were amazing. Highly recommend location for a date night. The food was delicious. I tasted an oyster from here and it was the best oyster I probably had in my life. I'll possibly come back to this resturant just for that. I think this resturant is a bit over price so come wallet ready.

Mayta is a perfect blend of creativity and flavor. From the bread service to the mains, every dish is beautifully presented and full of detail. Ingredients shine in thoughtful combinations, and the atmosphere adds to the experience. A must in Lima if you’re looking for elevated Peruvian cuisine. Look at my pics, order just the same if you visit with 4 to 6 guests

Mayta offers an incredible upscale dining experience on par with the top restaurants in the world. I enjoyed a wonderful lunch that consisted of freshly baked bread, ceviche, and delicious ravioli with creamy herb crust. Top everything off with a Chilean Chardonnay and the entire meal was extremely memorable. I also watched the diners on either side of me order the duck platter, which was gorgeous. There was also several beverages that were creatively presented with mist and dry ice. Overall, I loved the meal and will be back to try more on the menu.

Celebrated my sister’s birthday here today and had the most memorable meal. Our server was super friendly and spoke perfect English. This really helped us as we have a severe nut allergy and can’t speak Spanish. Every dish was divine and massive portions! Very innovative flavors and friendly sommelier as well!! Highly recommend

Great experience at Mayta. Food was very tasty, drinks were very well thought and the presentation was flawless. They gave my mom a lovely surprise for her birthday, and we all had a wonderful time. Service was good, but there is room for improvement . Just a little more attention to details and engagement.

Ice cream shop
Nestled in the bustling area of San Isidro, Ice Cream Factory opened its doors at the end of 2002, quickly becoming a vibrant oasis for those looking to escape their daily routine. This artisanal ice cream shop is known for its delightful presentation and reasonably priced treats that are perfect for cooling off on warm days.
Huge scoops of ice cream, not overly frozen, had a nice creaminess that made it immediately ready to enjoy! The service was quick & friendly. One of the young women spoke English probably slightly better than I speak Spanish haha I walked a short way to San Isidro park & enjoyed my ice cream on a bench with a cigar & a café americano I had previously purchased elsewhere. It was honestly almost too much ice cream, almost!
Ry B — Google review
I had eaten here before and the ice cream is good but at my latest trip here to Lima a walked in to see about getting a Sunday or a cup of some kind. The lady behind the counter put on a grumpy face and totally ignored me even though I was the only one in there at the time. I tried to get her attention and tried asking here if she had fudge available? She just looked straight ahead and barked NO. I thought maybe she didn't understand Fudge so I said Foch de chocolate. She continued with the nasty look and just barked again NO. I guess she hates gringos as I am a gringo but lived in Perú since 1963 for over 30 years and used to get my Ice cream at Davory many years ago and they even knew what fudge was 50 years ago. At this point I just turned around and left very upset at the treatment. It was a heavy set woman with glasses in case the owner would like to reeducate her. I've been walking by there almost every day for the past month but don't dare go back in there as the same lady is always there.

Mazamorra morada & Arroz con leche TITO are two delightful Peruvian desserts that showcase the country's rich culinary heritage. Mazamorra morada is a unique pudding crafted from dried purple corn, which gives it a vibrant hue and distinct flavor profile reminiscent of blackberry pie, enhanced with warm spices like cinnamon and cloves. This comforting treat often features diced fruits such as apples and pineapples, making it perfect for chilly days in Lima or Cusco.

Restaurant
Astrid y Gastón is a refined restaurant that has become a classic in Lima's culinary scene. Founded by chef Gaston Acurio and pastry chef Astrid Gutsche, the restaurant opened its doors in 1994 and played a significant role in the revival of Peruvian gastronomy. Housed in a spacious 17th-century palace with modern minimalist decor, it offers regional seafood and meat dishes along with an extensive selection of cocktails and wines.
I saw a recommendation for that Restaurant in my tour book and made a reservations two days ahead. While I came in a little bit early I had to wait until my time of reservation. My table was in the inner yard under a tree - with heaters on both sides. The service was very helpful to make the decisions for the starter and the maincourse, and his recommendation for the mixed bread basket was wonderful. The dishes were delicious and I enjoyed the evening at Astrid y Gastón a lot. I can highly recommend a booking there.
Olaf K — Google review
Astrid y Gastón is hands down my favourite restaurant in Lima. I have to come here each time I'm visiting. They have all classic peruvian dishes, but with a little twist. These are the better versions of already tasty dishes. I especially love banana and fried egg extension of lomo saltado. The seating area in the middle is beautiful and combination with the music makes unforgettable atmosphere. Reservation is recommend (reservations are usually seating indoor, so not in the middle with the tree). 5 out of 5.
Jakub K — Google review
Make sure you reserve your table in advance as this restaurant fills up even on weekdays. I absolutely loved eating here. The restaurant several different eating areas on different levels, so it does not seem as crowded or full as it really is. The table are spaced far enough not to feel claustrophobic and the overall volume of the restaurant is good enough to be able to conduct a conversation with your table mates without shouting. All, absolutely all, the cocktails, dishes, appetizers, and desserts we ordered were delicious. Service was very attentive, and helpful. Or server spoke fluent English and was able to describe it dishes perfectly. This restaurant is a must when traveling to Lima
Leon A — Google review
This restaurant is in open air space, I mean the inside space is just as cold as sitting on the outside spaces. If I’ve known that I would have wear a warmer jacket to dinner instead of just a dress shirt. Few of us in our group were cold during the whole lovely dinner. The interior space is very pretty and sitting by the kitchen was a bonus, we get to see them cook and do magic with our food. All I remember was the food was excellent but I was cold.
Jesse L — Google review
This building is jaw droppingly beautiful, especially in the evening when bathed in the splendor of countless candles and dim lights, simply gorgeous! Food was delicious, loved everything I ordered especially the small bites. I rarely care about atmosphere, but this place is something special! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Lima!
Casey Z — Google review
We enjoyed the special 8-course tasting menu at Astrid & Gastón and it exceeded our expectations. Each dish was beautifully presented, well-executed, and full of flavor. The service was attentive and professional, and the elegant setting of Casa Moreyra made the evening even more memorable. A truly special dining experience that we look forward to revisiting in the future.

Full course was great - not sure why there is no Michellin guide in Lima but this would for sure be a 1 or eventuality 2 star experience. Very good service, good food quality, tasty - nice house too - looks like a colonial palace. We also need reservation for it.
Yuri F — Google review
In August 2024, I had the tasting menu. It was good, but I didn’t love everything. I’m not sure it was worth the ~Pen 800. When you get the tasting menu, you are seated in a special room. I would have given the restaurant 4 stars for the value for food on the tasting menu. I went back in August 2025 and ate a la carte and we loved it. The service (both times) was amazing. Outside, there are space heaters and blankets. So 5 stars for the a la carte. Each room is decorated differently and it is quite fun.

Alfajores Manyra is a delightful treat that embodies centuries of culinary history, originating from the alaju, a Moorish confection brought to Spain. As Spanish colonists ventured into the Americas, they adapted this recipe using local ingredients, leading to the creation of these beloved cookie sandwiches. Filled with Peru's signature manjar blanco—a rich caramel cream—these cookies are dusted with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.

The best parts about the restaurant are the location and service. Their food is good, but not amazing. I also ordered a good pisco sour here. You can sit outside the restaurant along the street while watching the park and pedestrians. I recommend coming here for a drink or coffee when you are in the neighborhood.

Amazing place full of great food, service and history! The menu is extensive, interesting and full of choice. Now this isn’t a high quality establishment, more of a cosy local place with hearty fare. It doesn’t have high end prices so don’t expect haute cuisine. Our waiter was so friendly and smiley and really tried his best with his English. We tried a pisco sour for the first time and was pleasantly surprised although be warned it’s very strong!! For food we had our favourite Lomo saltado which comes with rice and chips, plus the bolognese ravioli. Both were super hot, tasty and came out fast. All in all it’s a fab place to grab a bite to eat and watch the world go by. This cafe bar was established in 1952, so they must be doing something right if they’re still going strong in 2023!

This restaurant was very convenient and we were grateful it was open at 8am on Sunday. We had arrived in Lima early morning but had to wait to check into our hotel and we needed breakfast. This cafe was open early. Good food and good service.

The restaurant was always crowded when I walked by, so I assumed it must be good. Maybe it is, but the Trucha Nuevo Orleans was the worst thing I ate in Lima. Parts of it were burnt, yet a few spot were actually, cold...and the dish overall was barely warm when it arrived (and I didn't wait that long). The asparagus was limp and flavorless, more like canned than freshly cooked. The only good things were the fresh condiments and my server. If you go, do yourself a favor and order anything else.

La Tiendecita Blanca, established in 1937, is a renowned restaurant and café in Miraflores that offers a fusion of Swiss and European cuisines with Peruvian gastronomy. It is also known for its delightful pastry and dessert selection, including cakes, cupcakes, breads, quiches, and German apple pies. Whether you're craving coffee, sweets, chocolates or fondues, this charming place is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
While the oldest restaurant in Miraflores and probably one of the oldest in Peru the management is not resting on their laurels. To my total shock the other night I was hungry but I had my dog turns out they are now dog friendly. More importantly the food is of a high quality presentation is excellent and the service is five star all the way. They have music on Saturdays and Sundays in the evening great service, food and atmosphere all the time. All this does not come cheaply but as they say in life you get what you pay for. Here you pay a lot but you get a lot more.

The team inside is very attentive and will make sure you have a wonderful experience. If you are in Kennedy Park or around Mira Flores, come here and enjoy!

This is a Swiss inspired restaurant in the Miraflores district of Lima that serves a large variety of European dishes including goulash, schnitzel and rosti. The restaurant also has a nice selection of breakfast items. Healthy options are available in the various bowls that are offered. Peruvian specialties such as ceviches and Peruvian potatoes can also be ordered in this establishment. I had the Peruvian potatoes and goulash and both items were fresh and delicious . The service staff was courteous and knowledgeable and some spoke a little English. The menu was available in Spanish and English. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and seating outside is a great place for people watching. I would definitely dine here again.

We’ve passed Deli Bakery so many times and probably overlooked it just because it’s right next to our hotel, AKQ. Today we finally gave it a try—and we’re really glad we did. The chicken with rice was full of flavour, simple but really satisfying. The roast beef sandwich was also great—tender beef, fresh bread, and nicely balanced with pickle, mustard and cheese Portions were generous, prices fair, and the service was friendly. It’s a casual little spot but well worth stopping in for a proper meal. We’ll definitely be back.

We went here because we were exploring our new neighborhood and saw that there is always a lot of foreigners and locals here so we wanted to check it out. We ordered a Caesar salad starter a lemonade, maracuya, and for main plates chicken with rice and the ravioli. I don’t eat red meat so I asked them to do a sauce without meat, and they sent it with a creamy sauce with some red pepper base which was OK flavor wise, but I kept finding pieces of ground meat and the sauce so that was disappointing. The service was very attentive - we were greeted immediately and attended to as soon as we looked up at any point during our meal - which as an American, I appreciate that kind of attention. The Caesar salad was ok, the lettuce was clean but not the typical romaine, there were cherry tomatoes, plain sliced bread “croutons” (not too crunchy) and some very dry pieces of chicken. The dressing was well made so that helped, but it’s not your traditional Caesar. To be fair, they advertise it on the menu as “our version of a Caesar salad”, but if you’d like your Caesars standard and with crunchy croutons, beware. The chicken and rice plate was very well prepared and my husband loved it being Peruvian that is the gold seal! The spinach and ricotta ravioli were also very tasty. There was only the problem that I kept finding pieces of meat in my sauce, which was supposed to be vegetarian. The drinks were pretty standard. Overall, we would return especially if we were coming with grandparents or visitors because it’s clearly a very clean place and there are some nice options for people to try typical Peruvian dishes.

I had the marinara lasagna and the mini Angus burgers. Was not impressed with either one. The maracuya/chocolate dessert slice is not chocolate moose as they led me to believe. They have many other dishes, which I'm sure are probably better.

OK food, but not oustanding. Desserts are average. For the price, you can get better elsewhere. I guess an OK place to have a quiet conversation, and some food and drinks, but not to have an awesome experience.

Excellent experience. I know a too sweet pisco souer is not good. But theirs was overly bitter. Same goes for the margarita. Otherwise, excellent.

Food was great and baking fresh bread always hence very crispy outer crust and soft inside. Sandwiches and patisseries must try. Nice vibe.

Great pastelaría, with their own bakery! We got a creole sandwich combo, which came with a humita blanche con queso and a drink - we got orange juice; and then we got a jámon serrano sandwich, with a cappuccino. The portions are large, and the jámon was so delicious that I ate it by itself!! The highlight of our meal was the humita! It was absolutely delicious!! The cappuccino came with a cute little cookie too, which was also delicious.

Well, my first meal ever in Peru was spectacular! I don't think I've ever seen a salad this robust in America. Everything was absolutely perfect. The salmon was fresh, the veggies were crisp, and the dressing was amazing! The Café Especial was delicious! I would definitely recommend a meal and dessert at this place.

San Antonio is the perfect cafe, aside from Haiti, that one has to visit to get a first class service for a very good price. Their cold coffees, pastries, cookies, and sandwiches are very good, their juices are always 100% natural and eating there feels like eating in an organic farm. Try a morning bread basket with your coffe, and an omelette with juice to start your day. Everytime I coke to Lima, San Antonio is always on my restaurants to stop by.

Arabica Espresso Bar is a charming coffee spot nestled in the serene Miraflores neighborhood, offering a welcoming ambiance and amiable staff. The outdoor patio is perfect for savoring their highly recommended lattes while indulging in delectable treats like quiches and desserts. With occasional drink specials and relaxing music, it's an ideal place to unwind. Despite its late weekend opening hours, this cozy coffee shop provides a delightful experience with Tostaduria Bisetti coffee.
Great coffee joint! Never thought Lima to have great coffee but this spot amazed me and blew my expectations. When I was searching for it, I almost gave up because it's so hidden and small but glad I found it. The two times I came during my time in Miraflores, I ordered an iced latte and a hot latte, both goes down smooth. I was craving something sweet as well so I ordered a chocolate pie/cake and that was perfect; not too sweet. Swing by if you're ever in Miraflores and need a pick me up!

Top quality coffee through-and-through with small bite offerings that are top notch as well. Its care in a cup, with every step from growth to roast to pulling and steaming done right. Moreover, the spot is quant and welcoming with charming service. And yes, as per other reviews, the internet is fantastic - but come for the coffee, a delicious snack or a quiet respite from all the honking horns in Miraflores.

This shop is wonderful. Not just for coffee, which is amazing and the fresh squeezed orange juice..but for pastries as well. I ordered 1 carrot cake and one chocolate cake for a dual birthday situation. They were so accommodating and went out of the their way to insure our party was successful. BTW, there was not one piece of either left. Yum!

Very slow service-- about 10 minutes wait at 8pm with only 5 other guests. Cappuccino was lackluster (way too much milk and slightly under-extracted espresso). On the plus side, the vegan cake was tasty, staff are very friendly, and the WiFi is good. Would be willing to try this place again if the espresso drinks improve.

CHURROS SAN FRANCISCO S.A.C. is a popular churro spot in Lima, Peru, offering a unique take on this classic treat. Their churros are distinct from those found in other parts of Central and South America, with a crispy exterior and soft, chewy interior. The most favored filling is the Manjar Blanco (Dulce de Leche), which perfectly balances the flavors.
One of our group had visited earlier in the morning and recommended this to us. By the time we reached there was a queue spanning over 100 meters (bear in mind it was a Sunday afternoon, so inevitably busy). We queued and once we got to the counter, ordering was easy - three flavours to choose from. Once you pay, you join a separate, short queue to collect your order. The churros have a sauce filling, which is like molten lava, so be careful when eating. Once it cools slightly, it makes the wait worthwhile. I would recommend coming early to save the queuing.
Shiv ' — Google review
This place is super popular. We didn’t plan to eat, but we saw huge lines so we tried. The lines moved fast though. The line on the left is to purchase and the line on the right is for pickup. We got the cream one and the chocolate one with sugar on top (you can also ask them to skip the sugar). I think it’s ok. I don’t like either stuffing inside. The churos themselves are good as they were freshly made and soft.
WDannie — Google review
Best Churros in town. They have 3 different Churros with different fillings (chocolate, caramel, leche). I‘ve never had such good tasting Churros before. Moreover you only pay 3 SOL per piece, which is incredible for the quality of food you get.

Best churros near the convent of San Francisco! They opened very early in the morning before even cafes opened so we had their freshly baked warm churros instead.
Soo-Yon R — Google review
Might be slightly controversial here, but these are the best churros I’ve ever had. And that’s coming from someone who’s visited the greatest churro spots in Mexico… Make sure you get the Dulce de Leche! (Or as Peruvians call it, Manjar)
Zach V — Google review
Fried pastry basically rolled with 3 different options, with Manjar Blanco (Dulce de Leche) being the most popular and definitely my favorite. As I mentioned in my review of Virgen del Carmen, the only difference I find is in the dough. This one seems to be fried for longer, resulting in a crispier coat yet softer inside, possibly with a bit more salt to balance the flavors and the added sugar. In my opinion, the filling (Manjar Blanco) tastes identical. Both options are good, and at only S./ 3 each, you can't go wrong with either. This place and Manolo in Miraflores are hands down the best I've tried in the city. However, Manolo has a more traditional form factor, unfortunately it’s over double the price, but it has a lot more filling and is definitely sweeter in my opinion.

Sra. Buendia Tejas y Chocotejas is a store in Ica, Peru, offering traditional sweets such as "tejas" and "chocotejas." These bite-sized chocolate candies are made of dried fruit, nuts, and dulce de leche, individually wrapped for convenience. In addition to tejas and chocotejas, the store also sells other local treats like "paciencias," little sweet cookies.
My mom gets me the candied limes filled with manjar every time I visit her and the family. I've never been disappointed with them, in fact I think they get better every single time (The next one is always better and sweeter than the last one). The tejas are also incredible (especially the manjar filled limes with a sugar hardshell). Don't waste your time or money with the competition. Call Sra. Buendia and ask them to hold the limes for you, they always sell out.

My favorite tejas in Lima, but disappointed with this morning’s service. Arrived at 11 a.m., they only had two flavors. I tried to buy the flavors they had, with the idea to return to get the other flavors later today, and the young woman would not accept my S/100 in pay. I asked, did the owners not give her sufficient change to do business? Yes, but then i won’t have change for others. (?!). “But, this situation is exactly why you have change. I’m a customer right here wanting to buy tejas right now.” But, she remained unmoved, sigh.

Love this place. Prices are so reasonable and food is delicious. Came here about 3 or 4 times whilst staying in Miraflores. Service can be a little slow when it’s busy but that’s the same in most places.
Mimi E — Google review
This place is super cute and well decorated. That was what attracted me to it in the first place - the aesthetics. It seems they have quite a variety of cakes and pastries and I haven’t tried those yet so can’t rate that side of the menu. We stopped for breakfast. I got the Belgian breakfast with Belgium waffles and scrambled eggs and my partner the scrambled egg breakfast. My request to substitute bacon for cheese or potatoes was “not possible” (I don’t eat pork) and I asked the waiter specifically if the maple syrup was real and he said “yes”. As an American, I know the difference and it definitely was a sugar syrup with maple flavoring when it arrived. My coffee didn’t arrive until halfway through my finishing breakfast and the eggs were definitely over salted. My partner‘s breakfast was just acceptable - although they didn’t send any butter with the bread, which seems like a basic thing. It’s too bad because they really could be a high-end café offering these basic things and high quality with small adjustments for a very little cost to them. This would attract more of an international crowd. It seems that in Peru the general public just accepts when they have poor service or poor quality food delivered, and don’t complain. I didn’t complain, but I use this platform for my reviews as a way to speak clearly about inconveniences, poor quality, and ways to improve service for clientele. Let’s see how La Mora Cafe responds and if they decide to shift any of their quality of service or breakfast options.

The interior was dated. My wife said it looked like a neglected chifa. The food was mediocre. My wife's BLT was uninspired but the bread was good. It could have been more evenly toasted. My croque was much better however it was on the back of the menu and wasn't a combo meal and my coffee was billed separately while I thought the coffee was going to be included. Not a biggie. Our coffee came well after our meal. With so many other options, I don't think we'll return. It was a forgettable experience at best.

Poor value for money and overcharged. Cesar's salad con Pollo consisted of lettuce, five pieces of chicken, and five pieces of dry toast. Absolutely not in accordance with the menu (as pictured). Pay close attention when paying with a credit card! When paying, they asked for a tip, and after examining the credit card receipt, the bill was "accidentally" exactly 100 sol too high. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Well, that's hard to believe as a tourist who might not be paying attention and never return. Easy money...

I didn't know what to expect but the food was really good! The meat in the calzones (chicken and beef) were good but the Tequeños were so friggin delicious with the avocado sauce. Finished it with a natural mango juice and crossiant.

My partner and I came here for a late night snack on a Saturday night (after 2100h) in early November. We ordered an appetizer (tequeños de lomito saltado s/28); a soup (sopa a la criolla con carn s/25); and two dessert crepes (crepe de naranja y queso s/26 and crepe suchard s/26). We ordered all four dishes at the same time, but thinking that they would bring them out in a logical order. We were served the crepe suchard (which has ice cream) first. A few minutes later, the soup came out, promptly followed by the appetizer rolls. And then a minute later the last dessert crepe came out. Overall the food was good, but the experience was dampened because the food all came out at once. The crepes would have tasted better had we gotten to eat it "when it was fresh", instead of with half melted ice cream because it was sitting there while I was eating the soup and appetizer first.

This street has a few churro options, with Churros San Francisco being the most famous. It's a fried pastry basically rolled with 3 different options, and Manjar Blanco (Dulce de Leche) being the most popular and definitely my favorite. The only difference between this and San Francisco, I'd say, is the dough. This one is a bit firmer, while the other is still crispy on the outside but slightly flakier and softer on the inside, and possibly with a bit more salt to balance the flavors and the sugar that's added. The filling (Manjar Blanco) tastes identical in my opinion. You can't go wrong with either option, especially at only S./ 3 each, compared to over double the price for the best Churros in Miraflores at Manolo (which is a must-try, though!).

Perfect for a small gift from Perú, Tejas are a traditional sweet consisting of a sugar outside shell filled with manjar and some other additional ingredient, depending on the flavor of your choosing. My favorite are pecan teja and the glazed lime one. chocotejas have chocolate instead of the sugar coating. (Translated by Google) It is a cafe that has some recommended dishes and currently offers the Lunch Hour option from Monday to Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30pm for 20 soles. Today we tried a Meat Lovers Pizza, it was quite pleasant, just a mistake in cooking in the oven because the central part had the dough a little burnt. There are some biscuits that are baked and sold with avocado cream for 5 soles, very nice, which were previously served complimentary. The atmosphere is good, families, friends, couples can go. The prices are affordable. Their recommended dishes Gnocchi with four cheeses, Osobuco, Lomo a la Stroganoff. Highly recommended. Hay unas galletones q son horneados y los venden con crema de palta a 5 soles, muy agradables, que antes servían de cortesía. El ambiente es bueno, pueden ir familias, amigos, parejas. Exceptional gelato with it being our favourite in our 9 day Peru trip. Plenty of flavours both classical and local (16 with 3 vegan), good portions with great prices (3 scoops for 15 soles) and they allow sampling. Strongly recommend. The pineapple sorbet was one of the best fruit sorbets I have ever had. The chocolate, mango and strawberry and blueberry were also amazing.

Their gelato here is so good. They do give samples if you want to try a certain flavor before ordering. We were told the Lucuma gelato is popular. It is made from eggfruit. I was told it tastes like egg and maple syrup. We got a personal size; you can have up to 3 different flavors. We go the milk chocolate hazelnut, coconut and raspberry/blueberry. Every flavor we got was good. Would recommend stopping by for a treat.

Great place for ice cream! Portion is huge for the price. It's actually cheap compared to neighbouring ice cream stores. Personal cup (15 soles) could mix up to 3 flavours and they are generous with ice cream filled above the brim of the cup. Strongly recommend the flavour principessa. Hazelnut chocolate with almonds. There are real nuts and chocolate pieces in it. There are seatings at level 2 and a toilet. Looking at the pictures on Google reviews, they change their flavours frequently so don't expect to have flavours you like when you go or you might be disappointed.

Best gelato ever. Great location and super popular. But that is for a reason - they make all gelatos from scratch. They are all natural flavours, from chocolate to pistachios to berries and fruit. Lots of options to choose from. Also available are non dairy options. We got the mango maracuya (passion fruit) and it was heavenly. The staff was so polite in letting us try different flavours and explained everything before we picked our favourite. Must visit if you are in Lima.

Fantastic place. The menu could not be any better. Just walking in and seeing all the goodies meant you will be there for a good time. The people working there were super nice and polite. We had a great time. A must stop if you are in Lima, Peru.

In Peru on an excursion trip with my daughter. An afternoon free so we walked around a bit and decided to stop here for lunch. Although they were busy, we were seated right away. After perusing the large menu, my daughter decided on an egg sandwich with lettuce, tomato on a nice sesame bun. I discovered their Tamal and went for the Chicken Tamal. After awhile our food came. My daughter really enjoyed her sandwich. But when I ate a half of the Tamal, I found no Chicken! So I motioned for the waiter and told him. He replied by showing me a lump on the second half of the Tamal that turned out to be a small chunk of chicken! lol! Tasty but disappointing. They have a HUGE variety of pastries, pies, cakes, and even gelato. But we weren’t looking for sweets.

Food is usually slow to arrive, but it's fresh and the desserts are good. This is one of the best places for desserts in Miraflores. Edit: I am not taking a star away, but it's not necessary or a custom to tip in peru. I usually tip but chose not to tip this time. The server since he was nonexistent when I was there. He acted upset that he did not get a tip, but he just took the order and brought the food. He spent 2 minutes max at the table and I was there over an hour.

Delicious pastry shop! So good we went three times. Everything was delicious, high quality and well presented. Only thing is that it’s so popular it can get busy and you have to wait so don’t come if you are in a rush or take away instead of sitting in. Our waiters were very nice and friendly, especially Emilio who was very quick!

I was looking forward to visiting here, but it was such a disaster as a result. 1. They brought me a drink with lipstick on it, without any apology. 2. There was another optional payment I even hadn’t added(black olives) to my menu. 3. I ordered customized salad with feta cheese, but I couldn’t find the cheese at all. So I asked and the staff, and he said they definitely put chopped in it. I paid for another 4 sols of cheese that I couldn’t even taste.

Excellent place to find very healthy food options in Lima. Very fresh salads and quinoa bowls. The quiche is excellent! Atmosphere is clean and quiet even during Sunday lunch rush. Add this place to your “must try” list. For those of you not counting calories, they have a wide variety of patisserie available!

One of the most traditional cafes around the area. Super well know, San Antonio is always super delicious. I had a club sandwich with white bread and it was very well done, with fresh ingredients and the bread was warm and crusty, best combination!

Slow service... Really slow. It's been 25 minutes since we ordered water! Update: I ordered Lomo Fino and they brought me the worst chuck "steak" I've ever tasted. It only took about an hour 15 minutes.

Nestled in the heart of Miraflores, Dolce Capriccio is a charming café that exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a cozy home. This delightful spot is perfect for those craving something sweet alongside their coffee. The menu boasts an array of delectable options, from savory entrees like Lasagna con Carne and Lomo Saltado to mouthwatering desserts such as chocolate cake and Nutella croissants.
Amazing cakes and desserts! We ordered the tres leches and it was amazing!!! Topped with a chocolate mousse. Their strawberry custard pastry and focaccia caprese were delicious as well. The latte was average and the mocha was a plain latte with chocolate drizzle on top. Hence I don’t recommend their coffee drinks, but the bakery items were awesome.

Go early!! We went for dessert around 7:30pm and they runout of a lot of their desserts and gelato flavors. Though we got chocolate cake and pecan cake, they were amazing!! We will going to go back for breakfast and order what we missed. ( hot chocolate not recommended)

Entrees, cake and pie desserts including helado, and bakery all in one. Sit upstairs for the most comfortable cushioned seating. Food: Lasagna con carne was delicious. Pastel de Choclo con Queso, very good, not dry. Lomo Saltado made with tender strips of beef, sautéed with onions, tomatoes, and a hint of soy sauce, all served over a bed of fluffy rice and crispy fries, yum. Going to make this place a Sunday regular. Taquenios were ok, seemed like a lower quality of cheese than other comparable restaurants I've been to in Lima, like Tanta in Larcomar mall. But Dulce specializes in desserts so, to be expected. Apple Crispy w vanilla hit the spot. Apples were not baked in wedges like in the U.S. but cut in flat strips which effected the texture but still very good. Great service, calm and enjoyable atmosphere to hang out in for a bit.

This is the place to experience amazing sugary things. Apart of a great variety of cakes they do serve some very good meals. I recommend coming with friends and try different things as the things are unexpected. My favourite remind the 3leches cake. It is far better than any other variation I ever had. If you are a tourist just come here hungry and ready to have 3 portions. It is worthy.

The restaurant is beautiful with a modern look to it, the food is delicious along with drinks. The pastries are delicious. The service is phenomenal. Rhenato was excellent. I’ve been coming here for 2 years and me and my family love it ! Especially that dog friendly will behave. Dogs can come in and sit on the floor while you eat. Unlike all the restaurants you have to sit down outside. I definitely recommend this place. It’s one of my go to when I come to Peru.

This is beautiful space with seating areas on two levels. You can order from the counter or off a menu. Prices are comparable to what you would pay in LA or NYC which was somewhat surprising considering that this is good but not the best area of Mira Flores. Most patrons were drinking coffee and pastries. But we decided to order something more substantial. It didn’t take long to be disappointed. We split a bottled water but it was only 300 ml or about a cup of water for 6 soles. I ordered a blue cheese salad with extra blue cheese. But the salad was small with some mixed greens, blue cheese crumbles, thin slices of apple and some nuts. They brought extra honey mustard dressing on the side and the waiter explained they didn’t have blue cheese dressing. I told the waiter that I didn’t want the salad and we weren’t charged. The ensaladas they sell are nothing like you would expect. How hard would it be to include some pictures on the menu? We had better luck with the roast beef and avocado wrap. It tasted fresh and had a honey mustard sauce which was OK. While it might be a nice place to hang out and have a cup of coffee, I thought the restaurant portion was a little pretentious considering selection, quality, portion size and pricing.

Nestled along the stunning cliffs of Lima, Beso Francés Crepería - Cafetería offers an unforgettable dining experience with breathtaking views of the Miraflores coastline and Makaha beach. Perfectly situated near Park del Amor, this charming spot is ideal for those looking to enjoy a leisurely day after a stroll on the picturesque Malecon. While opinions on their crepes may vary—some rave about the sweet and savory options while others find them less appealing—the ambiance is undeniably delightful.
Five star for the view . 4 star for the crepes. Good spot to relax and watch sunset while sipping coffee or having a crepe. My Crepe and cappuccino were good. One issue I faced with the language . No one speaks a single word of English and my translator app also want able to help much but somehow I got my crepe at the end . All folks there have smiling faces. Loved my time there . Note that there could be line for buying the crepes. I had to wait in line for my saying for the crepes. I waited around 10 minutes to put my order. They will bring your food to your table or wherever you are sitting and they bring it pretty quickly.

Come for the views! The crepes are pretty good. But check your order at pickup. My milkshake dulce de leche con fresa turned into a crepe. They agreeably took back the crepe and made a milkshake. But this time only dulce de leche, and they forgot the fresa. I wasn't going back a third time, so I just enjoyed what was called a milkshake, but was really more like milk. No ice cream to be seen. Oh well, the view was great.

ChocoMuseo is a delightful place where you can indulge in delicious chocolates and learn about the history of this delectable treat. Whether you opt for the mini workshop or the bean-to-bar chocolate making journey, you're in for an entertaining and educational experience. The friendly instructors make the process engaging, and you'll leave with not only newfound knowledge but also some tasty treats to enjoy later.
I had the best time of my visit to Peru. My daughter selected this visit for me, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We started by making our own chocolate bars and included many add ins from the 20 plus selections available including almonds, chili, cranberries, coffee beans, puffed rice, a local dried fruit, and many others. After placing our creations in the fridge to chill, we were taken through an adventure learning how chocolate is made, from the tree, through harvesting, fermentation and drying and endings with roasting our Coco and making a tea from the husk then making both Mayan style cocoa and Spanish style cocoa after muddling our roasted nibs to a Paste. Excellent! The best part was sharing my delicious chocolate bar creations with my friends when I returned home. Now I want to do it again!

ChocoMuseo isn’t a museum in the traditional sense, but it’s an unforgettable, interactive experience for anyone interested in chocolate. Located in the heart of a bustling tourist and craft market, ChocoMuseo offers fun, hands-on workshops where friendly instructors guide you through the chocolate-making process from bean to bar. You’ll learn a lot, sample plenty of chocolate along the way, and best of all, get to take home the delicious chocolate bars you make yourself. It’s a fantastic activity for groups, and as a bonus, you’ll receive a discount in their shop after the workshop. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and tasty experience!

I had the pleasure of attending my very first chocolate-making class here, and it was an unforgettable experience. As an educator and someone with a degree in history, I have a keen appreciation for well-structured lesson plans, but the meticulous planning and execution of this class truly opened my eyes. I was amazed to discover the extensive effort and attention to detail that goes into crafting one of my all-time favorite treats, chocolate. I am beyond impressed and so grateful I decided to go with this company! Oh and let me not forget to mention how delicious my own chocolate was!

This was such a fun class and I learned so much about cacao from bean to bar. The hands-on experience of roasting, shelling and grinding the beans and making the ancient mayan drink were very educational. It really changed how I think about chocolate! I thoroughly enjoyed eating and sharing the chocolates I made!

Had a wonderful time at the Chocolate Workshop. At the Inka Plaza. I’ve done a few of these, but this was the first I was able to take home chocolate. Guide was a Peruvian native and very knowledgeable about the process and of their facts about Peru. Workshop consisted of making your own chocolates with various add-ins/toppings (salt, coffee beans, nuts, etc.). Then History, hands on roasting, grinding and tasting. Tasting consisted of splitting into teams and making Mayan and Spanish chocolate then tasting each. Meeting and socializing with other travelers. Take home the chocolates you made.

We did the mini experience with Ernesto, was great! Made two chocolate bars and learned about the process. We turned up and booked it there and then, if you wanted the full experience I recommend booking in advance all the classes were booked out for today

I recently joined a bean-to-bar workshop at ChocoMuseo in Lima with my friend Stacy, and it turned out to be such a fun, hands-on way to dive into the world of Peruvian chocolate. Natalia, who led our session, was so kind and shared the coolest facts… like how cacao flowers are pollinated by mosquitoes because they’re too tiny for most insects. We walked through every step of the process, from cracking open cacao pods to roasting, grinding, and turning the beans into paste (hello, built-in arm workout). I loved learning how every part of the cacao has a purpose, even the roasted shells are used to make a really cozy tea. Along the way we sampled chocolate in all kinds of forms and percentages, and even sipped on a delicious chocolate pisco before leaving with our own custom bars. The workshop is held at Inka Plaza, which makes it extra special since you can wander around afterward and shop artisanal souvenirs and local art. Such a sweet way to spend an afternoon in Lima… and you leave with chocolate you made yourself. This experience was gifted in collaboration with ChocoMuseo, sharing my honest thoughts above. And if you love cozy foodie travel moments, I share more on TikTok @foxy.appetite and IG @foxyappetite… come hang out!

Crem dela Crem is a popular ice cream shop located in Barranco, right across from the district's main park. The shop offers a variety of unique flavors such as lucuma and uva borgona, alongside more traditional options like chocolate and strawberry. In addition to their gelato selection, they also have an adjacent cafe serving cakes, milkshakes, and coffee.
Walking around the town square of Barranco, we wanted some dessert and saw this place had nice reviews. We went here and you go to another room to pay for your order. Then you go to the Gelato room to pick up the order. We ordered Cookies and Cream and 2 Maracuya’s con Lemon. The Cookies and Cream was super creamy, would get it again. The Maracuya was too sour for my liking as a dessert but my partner really liked it. Overall nice gelato and solid price.

The ice cream is good, but the man who was serving either doesn’t like foreigners or was just in a really bad mood and took it out on me. I was tasting two flavors with him when he suddenly started helping everyone else and left me waiting for at least 5 minutes before I could order. When it was finally my turn, he told me to go pay before serving my ice cream – which was the opposite of what he did with every other customer. He wasn’t a young guy, probably around 45, so I would expect someone with more experience to be a bit more empathetic and professional. I speak advanced Spanish, so communication wasn’t the issue. What’s the point of good ice cream in a nice place if the person serving it has such negative energy?

Don Mamino is a classic family weekend breakfast place to go to! Which means there’s a waiting list too unfortunately… we didn’t wait that long though, we only had some trouble finding the person who was checking people in. After she came back, everything was fine! Tables are spacious, I had breakfast with my grandma and we had enough space to fit all of our food! Everything was really yummy, specially the tamales!! 🥰🥰😩 sooooo good. The their breads are delicious and my favorite of all times is their “pan con pollo”. I couldn’t leave without getting some treats, so I bought some desserts, it’s a must!!! Their “relámpagos” are famous, so are their empanadas, I also got their “tartaleta de fresa” and “mil hojas de fresa”, gosh everything was delicious!!!” 😳😮‍💨. Service was great too! I’m only giving this place 4/5 because of waiting list.

I think of all the restaurants and cafes that I would frequent regularly on my dozen plus trips to the Surco/Miraflores/Barranco area this restaurant has been my biggest disappointment on this recent trip. I just really have nothing good to say when the food and coffee was served almost cold. Then I was charged an additional 4 soles because I wanted a few spoonfuls of milk in my coffee. Of course they didn't advise me of this in advance. I think this restaurant (new post covid policy) when they see a gringo they assume they're not coming back so I got the treatment that comes along with that. Funny when I walk into San Antonio restaurant they treat me like royalty because they know I'm a repeat customer that tips more than the average and they always treat me fairly. I will not go back to Don Maminos this trip or any future trip.

We also met Paloma (the founder) one of the days and she was extremely sweet and welcoming! If you are staying in the Miraflores area, you must check this place out!!

We tried the mini cupcakes, which were the perfect bite-sized treats for sampling a variety of flavors—fun and delicious. We also ordered chicha, but just a heads up: it's prepackaged, not homemade. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but note they don’t accept American Express. Still, a lovely stop for a sweet treat!

Decided to pop in and give this quaint little shop a try. So glad I did. What a TREAT. There’s so many different flavors and loved that they came in mini sizes as well. I tried the salted caramel and cinnamon roll which were both delicious. Very moist and not overly sweet. Also had the carrot cake which was by far the best I’ve ever had in life. It packed a punch of cinnamon flavor which was absolutely delectable. Came back a 2nd time and grabbed the unicorn cupcakes which my little ones loved.

For any tourists I do not recommend this place. The cupcakes were cute but are very dense, not light and fluffy like a cupcake should be and the frosting was pure sugar. The staff was rude and acted like I was an inconvenience and they didn't approach to take my order until I asked if I could order. I was very uncomfortable to the point when the guy laid the plate with my order on the counter and stared at me, I decided not to eat there and just took my cupcake and left. I will not return, it's better to just go to the Starbucks, pasteleria San Antonio, or Marie Almenara. I saw the good reviews and gave it a shot, I am very disappointed with this experience.

Stopped by randomly and ended up here every single day. Every cupcake on the menu was a 10/10. Also had their seasonal ice coffee and it was good. Super great staff. Would recommend stopping by!
Joshua M — Google review
I had high hopes when visiting “Miss Cupcake,” as the name suggests top-tier cupcakes. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered four flavors: Limon, Oreo, Red Velvet, and Red Velvet Cheesecake. The Limon cupcake was extremely dry, almost like chalk, and not edible. The Oreo cupcake lacked moisture and creativity. It was simply chocolate cake with Oreo frosting, and it would have been much better with chunks of Oreo inside the cake. It also tasted a bit stale, as if it was a day old. The Red Velvet cupcake was better but still not memorable. The only one I thoroughly enjoyed was the Red Velvet Cheesecake—it was moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. While the cupcakes are visually appealing, the taste fell short. This place has so much potential, but the inconsistency is disappointing. The Red Velvet Cheesecake was a standout, but the other flavors missed the mark. This was my first time visiting and my last. I would not go out of your way to get a cupcake like I did.
Retta — Google review
Order through the window on right. Pickup at window on left. I believe 4-5p is a 2 for 1 special. I tried the red velvet cupcake. It was a small, moist, fluffy, and tasty treat with the perfect amount of frosting. They need another small table in the garden for customers who want to sit and enjoy their treat. There's currently only one round table with 4 chairs. Inoptimal if you have more than two customers.

La P’tite France is a café-bakery in Lima that specializes in croissants and other breads, including one flavoured with coca leaf. The bakery also sells juices and organic coffee.
The food here is wonderful. The croissants are made to perfection; buttery, baked crispy tan outside while soft inside. The sandwich fillers make a wonderful match. The environment is as nice as they can make it given the location along a road. The cars occasionally passing makes it a bit noisy. I do recommend trying their food. You'll be pleased.

As a breakfast or casual lunch place, just a little gem of a find. Great coffee. Quite good empanadas and croissants. Delightful service.

Lovely place. The muffin was tasty. Their papaya juice with milk is very delicious. The vanilla macaron is nice, too.

Good place for a quick dessert or bread in Surquillo. Been here about 3 times already for their empanadas and coffee. I have been getting their chicken and mushroom one and so far it’s been very good each time. It’s hard to find a parking spot during peak hours but if you go in very early or way past lunch then you will be able to find a spot on the side of the road next to their shop. The reason I have given a 4 star instead of 5 stars it’s because I saw a few flies insides their dessert display, because everything else was great. The place it’s small and cozy and the service was pretty good.

A gem in a not so nice neighborhood! Outstanding French pastries, excellent French breads baked fresh very day. Good coffee too. Haven't been here for a while and decided to come back here for a cup of coffee and fresh bake pastries. Oh boy! It's so good. After a weeks or so remodeling the place, la p'tite France looks better yet with bigger glass displace for all the pastries. When you spend 10 soles or more you will earn a star. Add it all up and you will get a free cup of coffee.

The establishment is a nice place to sit down and relax. On hot days it can get pretty hot. Also not enough chairs and tables so you will most likely have to take out. Coffee is good and croissants are passable. The combo is sufficiently priced. Area can be a bit sketchy but ok during the day and morning.

I came here on vacation. I ordered a Nutella croissant with two macarons, and to my surprise, the chocolate was quite delightful, with an exquisite taste. I had my parents order their croissants and a cup of coffee; they enjoyed every moment of their service, the store workers were very nice and caring. I definitely recommend visiting their store

Maria Almenara is an excellent cake shop with delicious desserts. The location is great and the quality of ingredients is amazing. The cakes are rich, creamy, and very well balanced between sour and sweet. My girlfriend had a piece of carrot loaf which was very moist and well spiced. We both highly recommend this cake shop!
What a gem! Perfect for a cake, breakfast and coffee. Lots of other options for drinks as well. The selection of cakes 🍰🍰🍰 is simply astounding. I definitely recommend it.

The place has a delightful smell of roasted coffee, nuts and chocolate. Had the passion fruit cheesecake and a limonade. All was very good. Would have gotten a top score if they removed the fake cream on top of the cake.

Nice place and kids friendly option. The prices are a bit above average compared to other places but the quality and presentation are worth it. Had the chocolate cake and the carrot kake, quite nice and worth it . Note all Peruvian desserts might be sweeter than you are used to. Second time there, first time had the lunch special and consider it value for money for s/25 or about $10 us

Pretty stellar location. I had my doubts that would live up to it's hype, but it definitely does! We ordered the oreo #cheesecake, and it was one of the best I've ever had anywhere; very rich, creamy, with very high quality ingredients and a nice balanced between sour and sweet. My girlfriend had a piece of carrot loaf which was moist and very well spiced. Finally, a #dessert location that can match the quality of the peruvian food in the area! 🍰🎂🧁

Creperie
Palachinke is a beloved creperie that has been delighting patrons in Lima for over 30 years, establishing itself as a cherished local tradition. With an extensive menu featuring both sweet and savory crepes, it also offers a variety of appetizers like rolls, sandwiches, omelettes, salads, and desserts. While some visitors reminisce about the past with fondness—recalling larger portions and warmer ingredients—the overall experience remains enjoyable.
Strawberry and cream pancake was so good, as was the chicken, pineapple and cheese pancake I ordered. Very chill place that wasn't so busy. Had a great time. The ice cream was some of the best I have had in Perú.

These were the biggest and fullest crepes we have had! Amazingly delicious but be prepared to be really full when you leave! Definitely a must try when you are here!!!

This is our first time to this location. The other location had been one of our favorite places to eat. You can only use cash or a cash app. The food was good, but not as mind blowing as I remember. The apples in our sweet crepe weren't as big as they used to be and not nearly as much caramel. The apples were cold, but I recall them being warm before. Our savory crepe was good. Again, not as much ingredients as we remembered from the other restaurant, but it was good. The staff was very nice and attentive. The restaurant was clean. We appreciated that they have the menu in English as well as Spanish.

We stopped by for dessert and it did not disappoint. Excellent service and food. We tried the #51 Nutella, strawberries, and ice cream. Massive portions and we even got a little show.

Don't expect US style "pancakes". Even though it reminds me of a 70's style IHOP ( international house of pancakes), they make a delicious 20" diameter crepe and fill it with a WIDE variety of toppings. The server brings it to you table and then rolls it up and presents you with the meal. Hours are 11 am till 11pm, do don't expect to get an early breakfast. I highly recommend it for a party of 5 or less. I ad ice cream and strawberry jam, but I could have easily had mushrooms, steak and avocado.

Ana Avellana - Pastry is a popular bakery in Lima known for its fantastic ambiance and delicious desserts. While it may be on the pricier side, the quality of food and environment make it a great option for an afternoon tea with friends or family. The sticky bun and cheesecake, especially in maracuya and blueberry flavors, come highly recommended. The prices for coffee and cake are steep but worth saving for a special occasion.
One of my favorite bakery in Lima. The ambience is fantastic, and the desserts are also delicious. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but considering the environment and food quality, it’s still a good option for an afternoon tea with friends or families. I like their sticky bun and cheesecake (both maracuya flavor and blueberry flavor are nice). I would recommend to sit down and enjoy the food and ambience if possible.

Very pricey but so, so nice! The desserts are fantastic. My friends and I got maracuyá cheesecake, pineapple cake, and *the* cheesecake. They’re all fantastic; the cheesecakes were both the richest (as well as densest) I’ve had in Lima, albeit it’s quite expensive to be there. We asked for the price of an entire cheesecake pie and it was a whopping 180 soles 😱

This pastry shop is a must-visit for those in search of delicious pastries and desserts. They have freshly baked bread daily, along with delicious desserts. This bakery was located near our homestay, so we often grabbed a coffee and some pastry to start our morning off! The servers here were friendly and fast, making it an affordable option. We're planning on returning in January 2020 to celebrate one of our birthdays - we'll order 200 salty snacks then!
I think I will become a frequenter of this place! They have these affordable bite-sized sandwiches of a large variety, which - if you’re like me and like to have a bit of everything - is fantastic! It’s definitely a classic location in terms of its longevity and the atmosphere. The workers are welcoming and attentive, but I think it gets pretty busy during the lunch hours or perhaps on weekends (they have both outside and inside seating). I also had the alfajor de miel with my cafe and, when I initially saw it I thought it might be too sweet, but it was just the right sweetness! Coming back soon, whether for a snack, dessert, or lunch!

One of the best places in Miraflores for breakfast, a cafe with something sweet. The prices are affordable, the service is nice and attentive and very friendly, especially Daniel y Angel. The atmosphere is like a little cafe in Italy or Spain. Food, snacks, sweets are always fresh and the cafe is much better than in Starbucks. I really recommend this cute little place.

El Buen Gusto is a pastry and bakery shop, old style and fashion for their flavory salty and sweet items. The service is old style as well, you pay first at a designated counter and then collect your order from the next counter. The place offer inside and outside sittings, parking is possible in the street. -- We tried a couple of sweets and they were all nice, portions are good and they both offer whole cakes and in slices.
