Everytime I eat Greek food, it is Metaxa sauce with meat, Food was super tasty as always. Service was good as well. I don’t mind but I feel Greek food is a bit overpriced eveywhere. But no complaints I love the food.

A wonderful restaurant. I had the grilled calamari and it was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly.The atmosphere was superb. I enjoyed sitting outside on a pleasant summer evening, enjoying the excellent meal.

Located in the city of Bayreuth, this restaurant has good interior. I can't say much about the food because I only had some vegetarian options. But from my teammates, I came to know the food is nice and delicious.

We took a group of women and children from our bible study. The owners and staff were AMAZING. The food was fabulous, too! Can't wait to go back!

My friend and I went to this restaurant this evening with very high expectations. However we got really disappointed. The main course we ordered were: pork steak with potato and vegetables, squid and some kind of kebab meat with rice and vegetables. The pork were made very dry, and the riced not cooked. Potato chips not crispy at all. We asked for free tap water, and were told yes. But in the end they charged us 5.5 euros for a jar of house made sparkling water with not so fresh taste. Besides that, they charged a 1.5 euro for doing some kind of barbecue of 4 pieces of squid and not telling us when they wanted us to choose barbecue or not. When we asked about these two charges, the owner had very BAD attitude, he said the water was always charged and he had this restaurant for thirty years and never had problem, so "It's YOUR PROBLEM!" Never seen an owner runs a business with this manner. Shocked. At the end the bill was 45 euros. Very disappointing experience. I don't recommend this restaurant at all.

Very good Greek food and super friendly service with personal touch. The food is great, portions are ok and lean on the healthy side of cooking style, which is a refreshing alternative to many Greek restaurants. Sitting outside in the old town is also a plus. Also offered us to keep our food warm while mama was busy with our 1-year old. And brought us a kid seat. Best Greek restaurant in Bayreuth in our opinion.

We popped in there spontaneously, on the way back home from our holiday. This was a really good decision which we made basing on reviews 😍 Bowls are truly huge and tasty 🫶 Fresh ingredients, reasonable prices and very kind, english-speaking staff ❤️ We chose kebab bowls (delicious 😎) and also tasted smoothies - green superfood and apple pie - we highly recommend both 😊

Vegan restaurant in Bayreuth. Location is good and accessible. I went there with my vegan friends and I was honestly impressed with their flavor and quality of dishes. The bowl I got was €9 or so and it was huge. All the ingredients were fresh and perfect flavor. Toast was also good and my friends were happy with smoothies too. I highly recommend this place to both vegan and non vegans who like veggies.

Okay, what petition do I have to sign for them to open one store in Grafenwöhr? My husband and I went there today and it was absolutely amazing! We didn’t like that they didn’t have restrooms but other than that, great atmosphere, easy to find and absolutely amazing food and smoothies. We had the mango smoothie and the green smoothie, both very good. My husband had the Taco bowl which he liked a lot and I had the Kebab bowl which I though I just wanted to bathe in it 🤤 we also tried the matcha protein shake which was good as well and we had the banana-carrot-cake which wasn’t our taste but everything else cover up for that 😅 if it wasn’t so far I’d eat there every day!

Great vegan food at fair price. I would recommend getting the ready made dishes, as making your own seem to be confusing even for locals. Some ingredients described may be missing: not sure if by mistake or lack of it.

A great restaurant in the pedestrian area in the middle of Bayreuth’s old town. They have beautiful indoor dining areas and terrace seating on the street. They serve mainly traditional Bavarian dishes but we ordered chicken schnitzel and mackerel salad. Both of the were delicious and the foods came fast. The service was friendly but they seem a bit understaffed. On a Saturday afternoon, there was almost no available tables left but we could luckily find one table on the terrace. Reservation recommended.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Why? Because I loved everything from the seating arrangement (the gap between the dining table and me was perfect), and the food was excellent!! The servers were very polite and friendly people. 😄 The ambience is charming and classy. We had Schäufele and Schweinebraten in Biersöße. Then we saw our server carrying a jar full of strawberry 🍓 juice and talked to him. He said it’s in-house fermented strawberry brew (alcohol free). It was slightly sour and yeasty but also sweet. If you’re in the area looking for a romantic lunch/dinner or a family outing even this is the place for you! 🫶🏻 I’ll definitely visit Oskar again. Once again this is one of the best German restaurants in Bavaria!! 👍🏼

Located within the old town in Bayreuth, Germany. Food wasn’t mind-blowing but if you are looking to try Bavarian cuisine, this might be the place! Traditional German food in a pleasant setting, with in and outdoor options. The food is consistently good and we’ve always had excellent service. The Obadza is my favorite.

The place has a perfect atmosphere, and the waiters are dressed in traditional attire typical of the region. They were very kind and helpful. The food and the beers were very authentic.

Classical and delicious Bavarian food. If you are traveling in this town. Good to try. I recommend the classical pork schnitzel ！ very worth to try:)

Pleasant surprise, very good beer selection and great variety of food options. Service was also relatively fast for such a big venue. Ps: do not forget to pay for parking if you arrive with car, and bring some coins for the machine.

We were staying at the hotel next door and came here for dinner. We also tried some of the beers, there was a great variety to choose from. The food we ordered Roast Beef and Lammhaxe were absolutely delicious. A wonderful spot for a tasty meal and a good drink!

The place itself is super cool, it has a great atmosphere. My husband's steak was amazing, I had the fish which was pretty good. We loved the drinks selection, but it took a while for the server to take our orders. All in all we liked it, would recommend and will be coming back!

ATTENTION! You have to pay to park on premise even if you are a guest of the restaurant. If you miss that you will receive a letter with a hefty fine from a contracted company which is never reachable via phone despite "opening" hours mentioned on the fine letter. This is the one-and-only restaurant parking lot that charges its guests that I know and it is not in downtown Munich or Berlin, but in the outskirts of provincial Bayreuth. Out of principle, I will avoid this "unique" place where you are charged parking fees by the bar while tasting a beer or two. Besides: Service very slow, but beers interesting and some very good, food not tasted.

Great food, lovely dinning area, some staff were very friendly and knowledgeable while others had 0 personality and were un helpful. All in all awesome time. Recommend the brewery tour.

The food was so-so. The service was terrible; the waiter preferred to chat with other waiters rather than attend to customers. We waited about 25 minutes for a beer (it wasn't very busy). We waited another 15-20 minutes to pay. The place was generally very nice. We weren't the only ones disappointed with the service. Another customer was also waiting at the bar to order a beer until he pointed out that they weren't doing what they should be doing while at work. Everything was handled with great courtesy. I'll come back just because it's the only place nearby that serves craft beer, but the manager could pay more attention to the people he employs.

We visited the restaurant that was with a beautiful outdoor seating area – very clean and nicely decorated. The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

Walking distance from the opera and even though all tables were booked , the service was very quick and correct. In addition the carpaccio was delicious and the same for the other dishes we ordered. Nice and lovely atmosphere. I ordered Angus stake and a pizza. All was tasty. Water costs 6 euro. Stake was around of 28. Pizza kinder 7 euro.

Fish is not recommended. A waitress tried to bone the sea-bass by bringing a separate table and failed heavily. We asked to give it just like that. Fish tasted not special, and luke warm. For such prices, one should only take guests for pizza and antipasti, since the location and terrace is wonderful.

The food was delicious indeed, the surrounding is lovely, with a tranquil terrace on the edge if the town. It is quite a pity that for reasons unknown to the stuff was not quite up to the task. I wonder if their objection was me not looking like an opera singer or at least a mayor of some middle sized town, but their friendliness was limited to the absolute minimum. Also, they forgot to take our order for the main course. Would be fine for a small diner, but hey, this is supposed to be one if the fancy restaurants in town. And it isn't cheap.

Nice outdoor location, great surroundings, probably the fastest delivery of my order in a restaurant ever (~3min?). Downsite: Very process oriented and for my personal taste still too much Covid oriented (Mid of July). Which brings a lack of coziness. The biggest downside: Food is mediocre, slightly above fast food. Probably related to the delivery time. The meat tastes like frozen twice, and waiting for me all day long in the sun. Not saying it’s the case, but - I don’t know how say, soggy? Vegetables ok, juice with too much water? Would I come again? Maybe, enjoy a drink in the sun. Ignore the staff und no food.

Excellent food and drinks. Busy location in the middle of town, you might need reservations depending on date/time. We ordered a variety of dishes and all of them were delicious. 😋 There is a fireplace and I can imagine why locals say this place is cozy and magical in the wintertime.

You’ve got to try this charming Franconian spot! The house-brewed beer is fantastic, and the traditional dishes are definitely worth experiencing. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and great service make it a place I’d happily recommend for a relaxing meal.

Outside of the main building stand some chairs and wooden tables with table cloth in Bavarian look. Some guests were conveniently enjoying their menu. We looked at the Menu List and we saw some interesting traditional recipes. Excellent taste and something special for my mouth! :-) Of course we ordered Traditional Franconian Dishes. We enjoyed what we ordered and the waiter enjoyed our Tip! :-) Their foods were really A1 in quality and the foods we ordered were both traditional dishes with Bavarian character. It is nice atmosphere especially when the weather is good. However, I am very disappointed by the food. The other dishes on our table seemed to be ok. I ordered Schweinefilets and although most of them were soft, some of the pieces were clearly undercooked. The cook was obviously not careful enough to see if every filet is properly cooked. The side dish was spätzle and they were so salty that I could not finish eating them. I paid 16 euro for this dish and I really expected something better. Even if the other dishes of the menu are of better quality, they clearly lost a customer after my experience.

Their beer menu feels as thick like an old phone book…. The exhibition is really worthwhile spanning from historical fun facts to massive displays of old glasses and krugs. The location itself is a treat on its own !

We just finished visiting the brewey tour. This experience raised the bar for future exhibitions for me for multiple reasons-it was only the 2 of us in the exibit and we had to discover it ourselves with the help of the audio guide and most importantly the interactive part in the basement. I would wholehartedly recommed it to anyome visiting Bayeruth and is a fan of beer! 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic food, the catacombs tour was really interesting, and the beers were great as well. The staff were extremely friendly and made our experience (very large dinner party with more than 14 people) and excellent one! Many individuals spoke English and they had a menu available online in English as well with their entire menu (including beverages).

We had the beer museum tour. It took roughly an hour and the guide explained everything. People who don’t know german get an English transcript. After that we spent some hours in the bar. Quite a happening place. They have a wide variety of food and drinks. We tried 4-5 drinks. All the types were just perfect!

I ordered the Lamm Tikka through Uber eats, and it was a truly disappointing experience. The meat was extremely poor in quality—old, stinky, and completely inedible. It didn’t even smell fresh, let alone taste good. For an online order, where customers rely on the restaurant’s commitment to quality, this was completely unacceptable. I couldn’t even finish the meal and ended up throwing it away. I strongly urge the restaurant to improve the quality of their ingredients and conduct better checks before sending out food. I won’t be ordering from here again unless they address this issue.

I did a round trip in North India and this brought back memories. Awesome restaurant, nice service and very delicious food. The buffet is till 2pm. and it’s absolutely worth it! Will be back on our next visit to Bayreuth.

I had sudden urge to eat Indian food and found this place in Bayreuth. Their outdoor seating is lovely and spacious. They took enough spaces between all the guests so we were able to eat at restaurant very comfortably. Service was mostly great. Our server was very sweet and nice. We ordered butter chicken and lamb vidaloo and both of them are amazing. Meats are both cooked well and not dried. Curry sauce in both were amazing. Lassi was so good that I ordered twice. If u haven’t been this place, you are missing out!

Hands down the best Indian restaurant in the area. It is usually well-visited, so call and make a reservation ahead. The interior is super comfy, colorful and the food is absolutely delicious and fresh. We highly recommend the mango lassi, samosa, banana chicken and chicken tikka masala. They just recently remodeled the inside and have new menus. Soon they will also open their winter garden. Their service is top notch and very attentive. Highly, highly recommend!

Very good restaurant, but we are extremely disappointed by the fact that it is not possible to pay by card, and we discovered that only when we asked for the bill! My husband had to go and look for a bank while it was raining..this is a very unpleasant experience and the owner should have told us in advance. That's why we give 2 stars for the service. The waiters are friendly and kind.

A bit pricy, but worth it. High quality vegan food (although it can be a bit hard to know what is vegetarian and what is vegan). If you have trouble with German, there is a high chance your waiter speaks English too.

- recommended - This italian restaurant, placed in the centre of Bayreuth, is not only worth taking a glance at as the exterior and the interior are well-groomed but also worth talking a seat at. The place is also suitable for disabled people, vegetarians and business people. The menue offers a great deal of starters, such as bruscettas with various toppings. In comparison the possibilities for the main course are a bit limited but still very special (homemade green, normal or black gnocchi with wine-sauce combined with salmon, various kinds of spaghetti,...). Desserts are available as well. The cooking-skills and decor-skills are unbelievable! Spices are well picked and the portions are appropriate. The waiters are very welcoming and caring as they continuously make sure everything is alright. The prices are acceptable: a starter costs ~ (sometimes 3.50€) 7.50€ - 9.00€ a menue costs ~ 11.00€ - 18.00€ All in all it's definitely worth a visit!

Went there because of excellent reviews. After visiting the place I’m quite surprised where all those 5-star reviews are coming from. Very average pasta made with canned tomato sauce and only 5 pastas in menu seems quite odd for an Italian restaurant. They didn’t even bring pepper, salt or olive oil, not even talking about bread. Too overpriced for very average food.

Food was good, but the service ruined the experience. Our server was dismissive, ignored us most of the time, and never mentioned the kitchen was closing until we tried to order dessert. Poor communication and attitude made the visit disappointing.

Very nice interior, food is delicious. Service could improve a lot! We waited more than an hour for our main course. That’s unacceptable. No snack or apology only until we wanted to pay...then we were offered a dessert. Not worth waiting such a long time for food.

Amazing and authentic Franconian/Bavarian food with a great choice of delicious beer. Nowadays you rarely find these kind of local places around, so if you want to get a feeling of how it was going to a restaurant back in the day’s, that’s your place to go. The food is delicious, offers a great variety and the portions are adequate too. I was happy to eat a dish called “Bauernschmaus” since I haven’t seen that one for ages in a restaurant. Definitely try their local beer as well. The staff is nice and helpful and the waiting time for our food was adequate as well.

The food here was so good we made two trips to eat here. Both the indoor and outside seating areas were great for sitting and visiting.

After biking across Upper Franconia, we found our favorite Helles lager of the region at Manns-Bräu. Brilliant clarity with wonderfully frothy foam. Tasty dishes for reasonable prices. We tried Thai curry duck and fried rice with duck both for 7.50 €, drinks for 1.50. Delicous food and the best price we found in the city center. Service is fast and super friendly too. Highly recommended!

We saw the restaurant on our way to the hofgarten. It was pretty crowded so we decide to try. The staff was really friendly. Fortunately, they had an english menu so it was no big deal to order. The food was really delicious and way too much for my girlfriend. Great experience!!

Great place for a quick, very tasty dinner on the way. Close to the highway. Fast service. Homely atmosphere. Super nice and professional owners. Everything is made on site, very tasty homemade flavors. I highly recommend it, I will come back more than once.

This place is awesome. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful - I was a bit worried that Google tagged this place as fast food, bc I was thinking it was going to be some super processed meats, but it turns out most of the ingredients and toppings are homemade. The pulled pork was great. Highly recommend this fantastic little shop.

There is not so many options in this region of the city. So, if you need to eat here, you can try this restaurant. Their food is unique in this city. They were not super tasty to me. But it was different. So, I am happy that I tried it. : )

Chatted with the owner once and I fully support Swagman and their concept and food. You cant say youve eaten at the best in Bayreuth and surroundings if you havent tried them. Love it, highly recommend it.

The drinks and the bartender are great or even the best in town

I really don't understand why this place is rated as best cocktail bar as far as I have heard. Cocktails taste so commercially made. One does not taste the essence of that extra pinch of I don't know.... Cocktails are abt the taste, not the quantity cos then the actual taste is not really well executed. Glasses are too big and after 1,2,3 sips, the melted ice makes it tasteless... Ambience is good. Nice, friendly workers too.

The boss is the absolut best I have ever met. Of course there are times with a lot of costumers but everyone is friendly and giving it all. Love it here!

As an American, this is a great place to eat. The burgers taste like an authentic American cheese burger. It's a taste of home away from home. I'd recommend their mam-mam burger with fries. I wouldn't get the chili cheese fries or the Tijuana fries though. The chili cheese fries are not with chili as you'd expect, but just jalapeno and melted cheese. The Tijuana fries have guac that's very blended like a smoothie consistency. Interesting, but not quite what it should be. Everything else is good though, burgers, drinks, and fries/onion rings are amazing. I've been here 4+ times during my extended stay in Bayreuth.

A hidden gem very close to the city centre. Interior looks amazing and there is plenty of space. I ordered a double original cheeseburger with fries and cola and it had met all my expectations. Burger sauce tasted great and fries were thick and tasty. The meat was well prepared and juicy. The staff was very polite and patient with us (there was a small language barrier, but we managed to overcome it). Overall a stunning experience.

Nice staff and great service, also they surprised me with the best burgers I've ever had in Bayreuth. Chicken wings with barbecue sauce were delicious. I recommend that order Wochenburger with jalapeños.

Pizza was good. It was take out, therefore the pizza was not cut but the flavor was not bad. I would recommend it and obviously I would come back someday!

A tiny restaurant hidden away in a corner but such delicious food! Only a few table inside but more outside for enjoying in warmer weather. Quick & friendly service. Pizza was super tasty & dessert was perfect. Highly recommend.

It was a small restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. The staff were friendly. They even gave us English menu. The food was prepared very soon. The quality of the pizza was also excellent. It's just that it was salty for us. I will back there.

Nice vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. Good flavor and friendly service though menu is not too creative. My vegan friends were very happy with the place, so it’s perfect if u have vegans in the group. Main dish is €9-13 and potion is pretty big.

Cool ambiance, slow service, and flavorless food. The place was almost empty. We sat for 15 minutes before the waitresses came to our table, food took 40 minutes to come. We ordered dessert, and 15 min later, we asked for it, and they claimed it was not on the system. Then it took them 10 minutes to bring the cake. We asked to pay right away and the waiter said he would be back soon but it took him 15 more minutes to come back . Don't waste your afternoon.

Went for brunch on a Monday, not too crowded. Ordered the butterfly plate which comes with a bread basket, a lot of different jams and spreads, pancakes, fruits, and drinks for two. Prices were fairly cheap. Service was a little slow, but food was super yummy, and definitely enough for two people. Loved the fresh juice as well. The atmosphere is really cool and uniquely decorated. Would recommend!

Went here for a few drinks to end the night out. It's a fantastic spot on a very lovely street. Was a perfect place to sit and talk and enjoy the night.

Wonderful experience! Arrived close to closing and welcomed. Mushrooms were the star but ribeye, pork, potatoes and spaetzle were all a close second. Highly recommended.

Incredible spot. We went during the Festa Itálica, which had to have been one of their busiest days of the year. Still sat within ten minutes. Had a wonderful Montepulciano priced well. They have a spicy olive oil in the table that was great on the pizza bread appetizer. Lasagna and tiramisu were delicious! Looking forward to go back.

Not the best pizza I had but still delicious. This restaurant offers a great atmosphere, urban interior, excellent staff and fast service. They also have nice outside seating for the warm summer months. Definitely a place to visit when you are on the hunt for a quick bite. Quite noisy, so I would not recommend it for a romantic date night.

Great place for pizzas and reasonable prices. The specialty for this place must be the size of the pizza as it exceeds the plate by a few centimeters around the edges of the plate. The pizzas are thin and crispy with just the right toppings, the taste of the tomato sauce was a bit boring though and missed flavor. Service was attentive and fast. We had a table outside which was great on a warm evening. I can recommend this place.

Unbelievable taste of Italy in Bayreuth. Antipasto were the best in my life, pizza... Same taste as in Italy. But, i wanna add few words about service, here working the most polite and beautiful waiters, lady Mina was our waiter, also Filipe was helping her. So, in Bavarian area, in Bayreuth it's the best service, that i got. Wish luck for this Italian restaurant, always will come back here!!! Grateful thanks for kitchen workers, they keep real level of Italian kitchen!!!

Great pizzeria, it is a must. Hangry or not so much, just go and try. The service is very good and friendly. The wine is perfectly serve at the right temperature. The coffee...just like in Italy. Just go now and stop thinking.

A cozy yet elegant brewpub on the edge of the Altstadt. Clearly a family run operation with some history. Several beer options vom fass and I chose the Shinnerla, their house beer and Helles lager. Great traditional dishes and seasonal options. The bärlauchcremesuppe was delicious! Also enjoyed the jägerkrüstchen as the main dish. A warm, friendly place for couples, groups, and families.

I can only recommend this kitchen which serves typical Bavarian food but with a little revisiting. The service is smiling and effective, the portions are ample. On the way from old city centre to Haus Wahnfried, you will and should not miss it.

Though this is no longer a brewery, their beer is contract brewed elsewhere and still quite good. It's dry and fruity. The pub is bit kitschy but from what I read, the food sounds good. We stopped in for last call after eating (and drinking) at still brewing Becher-Bräu on the outskirts of town. I'd eat here next time and have more than one beer, too.

Menu, setting and the beer all looked promising as I passed this pub on the way to the museums, and I also read the notice at the door saying that Sunday closing was 1400 hours, with last food orders at 1330. Cutting short my time at one of the museums, to be sure of gettting served, at 1315 I entered the half-empty restaurant, to be firmly turned away. Probably this is a good place to eat: certainly I missed out owing to poor customer service.

Great food, decent service, but... we were seated on the back terrace at the bottom of the stairs to the restaurant, which would normally be a beautiful place to sit - however, there is a harsh light connected a motion sensor which means that every time a waiter appears, the table suddenly switches from romantic evening candlelight to horrible white glare - every few seconds. What a disappointment. Also, time to join the 21st century and use a bank/payment provider which accepts Apple Pay. Otherwise - very good.

Does it feel comfortable to you being judged by your close and how much you can buy? I came to this place full from previous restaurant - wanted some beer but everything was already closed at Sunday but this place. After ordering a beer a waiter looked at me like rolling his eyes and immediately asked what does he mean, because it was super-rude. He said "no nothing, it’s a restaurant for you to know but all good". I was shocked!!!!!! Never in a million years I will come here again! It’s not a "local business" anymore, it’s reach people who will be angry at you for not paying them enough money.

This was your typical neighbourhood Italian restaurant. Food wasn’t outstanding but portion sizes are big, and service was sufficiently given we spoke no German. The spaghetti were not great quality but were at least cooked al dente - even though my carbonara was, by all measures, not a carbonara. It was tiny chunks of speck and there was cream in it - so at least half the ingredients are wrong. But still, totally serviceable. 3/5.

a good experience- the restaurant is located rather less centrally and difficult to find. The main train station is nearby, hotels only a few meters away, parking lots aren't close. The entrance is rather inappropriate for disabled people as it's narrow. Fortunately, generous and attentive staff members welcome their guests right at the entrance. Without reservation, it's hard to find a place to sit but still, it doesn't get too loud in the rooms (well structured). Sadly, there aren't any windows so it might get hot and sticky. Menues are brought right away, waiters have everything under control and arrive right at time and the food gets served quickly. The payment works perfectly. All in all: great service. The seats are comfortable, tables are cleaned and furnishings are basic but lovely. Though some of the seats are separated with plastic partitions which is harmful to the environment and unpleasant for guests, at least precautionary measures offer a secure surrounding. The food isn't astonishing. My toppings on the pizza (with shrimps, spinach) were too tiny and almost cooled down. The pizza was rather hard then soft and fluffy. My boyfriend's pizza (picture 1, with Peperoni, salami) had a weird taste because the spices didn't harmonize. But: The bottom of the pizza was not crumbly and not thick (rather thin and tasty, yum!). The food was neither burnt nor portioned too small. Waiting time is short. Prices are standart: small pizza 7.50€-10€ and big Pizza 11€-14€. My experience was amazing as the welcoming atmosphere led to an unforgettable evening full of laughter and chills. Even though one might work on the interior and exterior, the visit was good.

A most warm and friendly atmosphere, Adria offers a variety of delicious Italian food and and a great service. Actually, it’s the best part of visiting Bayreuth for me.

The last time I take food from "restaurant" , just disgusting, the pictures from this post are not allowed to be posted, but I will try to explain...with my girlfriend we took pizza at home at it was absolutely not good to eat, hard from outside and not backed inside just like live medusa inside, taste disgusting, I throw it right away, it can break your tooths be careful with this place! P.S I wish I'd gave the money to some homeless or hungry...

Awful food. Who puts strawberries in the risotto?? I would have thought Italians should have never allowed that, but oh well they did. Asparagus risotto with strawberries in it. And pappardelle with asparagus with orange skin in it. Apart from the totally irrelevant mixed in ingredients, the food was super bad. It wasn’t tasty and it didn’t look good either. Felt like it was pre-made and warmed up when we ordered it. It’s also because it arrived no more than 10 minutes after we ordered. First time, I have gotten a “fresh” risotto in under 10 minutes. I would have thought it takes at least 20-25 minutes for a fresh one. Please avoid. I wonder how this place is surviving and have somewhat good reviews.

We came for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation and they still were willing to sit us on a reservation table until 8 which we left way before then. There were only two servers and it was busy so they were hustling. My husband got the strawberry drink and enchiladas and I got a burrito. My husband food and drink tasted better than mine. I had to ask for a side of sauce for my burrito because it was a little dry. Then I got churros. It was okay. Overall to me food was okay for price but the restaurant is very nice and good place to get some drinks with friends.

My friend group regularly visits on Mondays, sometimes we reserve a table, sometimes we don't. We always get seated and have a good time. We're usually playing cards. Inside it can get quite loud bit it's not terrible.

Gladly surprised with the enchiladas. So disappointed by the nachos. Delighted by the margaritas. They took forever to take our order. I beg you to offer sauce for the street tacos. A busy place make a reservation.

we always try to visit enchilada whenever we can in a city. Enchilada is one of my favorite restaurant chain there is (although it was not a really big chain). Simply being there made me fell happy because of the decors or generally the visitor are happy young people that come to party and have fun drinking and eating with their friends. The music is also really exciting. If you came only for the food, this might not be for you because the portion was not really big. But the taste was guite good, and the ingredients are pretty fresh. Most people came here for drinks, on happy hours you can drink a lot with less money.

Good. Meets the expectations of a Mexican restaurant. Very nicely decorated, many seats (both inside and outside), very clean toilets, staff helpful & nice and a wide variety of delicious food and drinks. However, there is no indication of the quantity of the drinks, so I had to order a new one after three sips. Furthermore the portions are small But all in all, it's worth a visit!

Had a great time there! We waited slightly long to order, but nothing wild, and all the waiters were lovely! It would have been amazing to have hooks at the high tables, but we both ate great and I can only recommend!!

We had to wait over an hour to eat breakfast after being seated. The service is okay, but there are not enough waitresses. Prices are okay, but the food isn't worth the wait. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't tasty either. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

Waiting whole eternity for the food and saving money on the labor force pushed to absolute limits. One server for 30 clients and serving both soup and main dish at once. Everything despite we reserved a table and dishes three days before. Not recommended, not going to visit again. Food itself was okay but not worth it at all.

After having a bad experience with a pizzeria near by, I decided to try Engin's Ponte. The service was excellent , very friendly and forthcoming, I had the Flammkuchen with Preiselbeeren and Camenbert, wow..what an explosion of taste in my mouth, is a must.

This is a must-visit area in downtown Bayreuth. Located in the heart of the city, it is adjacent to the canal, where you can take a few steps down to see the water up close and relax. The interior is beautiful, and the staff is always cheerful and friendly. The food is delicious, and they offer a wide variety of drinks. With large windows facing the street, you can watch the lively hustle and bustle of the city while enjoying a snack, meal, or drink.

I loved the outdoor experience with the sun shining pleasantly on my face. The burger was really juicy and the fries just right. I really enjoyed my meal and the ambience outside sitting with others and that's saying something from one who is an introvert.

Nice terrace. That’s probably the only positive thing to mention. Interior is ok, nothing great or spectacular. I ordered a simple Café au Lait, got a Cappuccino, which tastes horribly. And for this city and quality totally overpriced - they’re in Bayreuth after and not in a fancy place. Service was ok.

We came to the Tesla charger. We usually don’t expect much of the places/gas stations around it in terms of food. I was quite surprised with this place. Nice building/decoration inside, large, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. We ate the pinsa Avocado Amore, a salad and kid’s pasta. Everything was very tasty 👌

Waiter was overwhelmed but sweet Food was mediocre This is my 3rd time I went there and it was my last if I can prevent it. The fries are really good, I will say that much. The chili cheese sauce has never in her life seen any chili. It was cheese sauce and a ready made one as well. The patty of my burger was ok the bun dry. We were a huge group so some delays and messed up ordees are to be expected but if you only put ONE waiter alone there to take orders of roughly 55 people.... that's ridiculous. He was understandably totally overwhelmed. Food came fast.,..if it came without reminding them. It could be a really nice place but for the price tag I expect a more organised place and honestly....better food.

We had lunch here while charging our car and it was certainly one of the best "charging lunches" that we have had. Tasty food, excellent mango ice tea, friendly service and chilled, friendly atmosphere.

We visited the place on a Saturday morning for the breakfast buffet. It was quite cold inside and the tables haven't been cleaned properly (there was ham and butter sticking to one of the chairs...). The buffet food was okay but nothing extraordinary for the price, drinks not included. Tiny plates so that you would have to take several trips to the buffet bar if you wanted a decent portion.

It's ok... Well the Cafe is located directly next to the street so the traffic gets noticed pretty easily. But the design of the Café makes it very comfortable because it's very well decorated and cleaned with lots of space (interior & exterior). Toilets are also clean. The offer of food & drinks is big (American specialities, Thai kitchen, German food,...) and the prizes aren't as high (food around 10-15€, drinks around 3-5€). But during my visit, the staff was so unorganized and chaotic that my first offer got ignored so I sadly didn't get anything served for long. The food tasted good, the portions are normal sized. As it came to payment, the staff member made a mistake in counting all my offers, another staff member couldn't communicate with me because of lack in German language (which isn't appropriate as a waiter) and another employee had difficulties in remembering the table-numbers as he served the wrong food to the wrong guests multiple times so I'm disappointed in the service. Free WiFi and online menus available. All in all its worth a visit, minded that the service and location aren't as enjoyable.

The German experience we were looking for! Such a delightful stay from beginning to end. Eva, (the owner), her family, and her staff made sure we wanted for nothing. Our luggage was carried to our room for us. This was a huge blessing since there aren’t any elevators. Our space was truly a gift from God. 3 middle aged women from the States, wanted to share a space and not be separated. Understanding this desire, Eva came to the rescue offering us the 3rd floor. Typically used for conferences. It came with more than what we could have hoped for. We immediately began to explore this beautifully decorated floor. The eclectic furnishings provided much interest. Vintage rugs as wall hangings. She used curtains to hide the electrical box. Linens that just begged one to take a rest. A bathroom that could easily accommodate the 3 of us getting ready for the day. The half bath had a pull chain to flush the toilet. A unique surprise for sure. There was even a dog bed in the loft area. The conference rooms could easily be used for 10 or more people in each of the several rooms off the loft. Breakfast each morning made this historical landmark feel more like a bed and breakfast. A basket of bread, coffee, tea, juice, eggs, yogurt, meats and fruit left us feeling satisfied and ready to head out for the adventure of the day. The tables have white linen tablecloths with beautiful white orchids. Rich dark wooded walls with stained glass windows, invited you to stay longer and not rush through breakfast. Walking out the front door led us to shops, cafes, and bars. Inside/outside dining allowed us the pleasure of sampling true German foods. A few minutes walk led us to the Hofgarten, a must for all to experience. And finally on our last day, Eva’s son drove us to the Munich airport using the hotel van at a reasonable price. This was also a gift, considering we didn’t want to take the train again. It was difficult to say good-bye but I believe we’ll be back and we will absolutely stay at the Goldener Anker! You should too! You will feel like royality.

Lovely hotel, huge rooms and extremely helpful and friendly staff. They all speak great English. Hotel has a very traditional style that extends to the receptionists costumes. Highly recommend staying here and it's location in the centre of Bayreuth can't be beaten.

Our first impression was that the service person was grumpy and was not friendly at all. But after a while, we’ve noticed that he’s in fact nice . The food came quick and were good.

The food was okay overall — nothing particularly special. The currywurst earns a solid 7/10. The sausage was quite good, and the sauce added a nice touch, but the fries were bland and lacked seasoning. The cheese spaetzle, while visually appealing with its grilled topping, lacked depth of flavor. I'd give it a 5,5/10.

I ordered the food (some kind of schnitzel), but they bring that food to someone who came after us. Place sucks, customer management is just zero, since we had to wait for 15 minutes until they eventually came to to get an order.

We visited on a cold, wet night in March, so there were not many people about, and the restaurant was fairly empty. There were six of us, so we had plenty of space. Service was helpful and friendly and the food was very good (in my limited experience of Thai food). I had a soup to start and then sweet and sour style prawns, which was very tasty and not overly sweet, as in some Chinese restaurants. The wine was good value in 1L bottles, although not the highest quality (you get what you pay for) - but drinkable. As we struggled to find anywhere open that had space, we were very pleased to be accommodated in this warm, nicely decorated space.

A very good Thai restaurant. The meals were very delicious and the cocktails equally good. HOWEVER the service is very terrible. Specifically, the main employee is rude, never smiles, and acts angry every time we visit. We wish she was friendly and more welcoming as the food is so good.

A generous two stars here because this establishment typically has decent food (for Bayreuth -important caveat). But whatever you do, don’t get fried rice. The rice was pretty mushy and kind of salty. Fried rice 101 failed. My dining companions did mostly have decent food, I must admit. But one thing we all agreed on was the egregious service. And some of it definitely seemed racially motivated. They would fawn over and hover near the white customers and have zero patience with us. Also, if they had multiple plates of food, they would literally bypass our table and then return. Bizarre to watch in practice. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

I ordered Mittagsmenu 2, €8.90. I didn't know the name of this meal, but tasted like Pho Xao (Vietnamese meal) rather than Thai taste... And staffs were not very friendly. If you expect whatever Asian taste not genuin Thai, it can be a good place, especially the interior was quite South-east Asia taste.

was crowdy at Saturday but they have found a table for us. So for sure it is better to book a table. We like Thai food but here we found Tom Yam not so spicy but salty. Our 9 year old daughter was happy to eat this change. We May ordered a wrong article and need to try it again. A rice with schrimps was very tasty. Jasmin tea was served in a small nice teapot. The decert with ananases was also good and our son was happy to see ice cream inside. Atmosphere is fine.

This restaurant is amazing the food is spectacular. The items marked spicy are truly spicy but sooooo good. I would give them 6 stars if I could. We had Pho and a bento box everything was fresh and very flavorful. You definitely need to stop here and try the food.

We stopped over at the this place while traveling south. We had simple soup, fried rice and rice noodles. Food was great and tasty. However the service was not that great. It felt as if they were not interested in serving us and annoyed. When asked for child high chair answer was “It there in some corner”. Hence the just 2 stars for service.

Great service, the waiter was REALLY nice! The food is good. They make a great pizza (5/5), they have a great dough. My Caesar salad was ok, just something was missing, bud the vegetable was fresh (4/5) and the chicken was tasty and not dry. Italian salad was ok but they used low quality ham in slices and it looked horrible and tasted like a ham from a plastic cover (3/5). Overall I liked the restaurant and I recommend to go there.

Friendly staff. Very average food. My son ordered Pizza Pollo with 3 or 4 small slices of chicken as a topping. For 10,20 €, we expected a bit more. My salad had too much dressing like soup. Not sure whether the kitchen couldn't cope with the crowd before Christmas?

The food was perfect—the quality and the taste. The restaurant was very busy and noisy. At the beginning, we waited 10 minutes, even though we had a reservation.

Went here because of the high rating on Google maps and wasn’t disappointed given expectations. The sushi (nigiri) were giant, with 3x the rice as normal, so the balance was quite off. The salmon was of very good quality but sadly not the tuna maguro. I was pleasantly surprised that they had kanpyo maki though. That said, the main problem with the sushi rice was that it was just a giant lump of rice and not seasoned as it should (so it’s not quite Shari). We also had tori karaage (fried chicken) and dumplings. The karaage was fine, fried very well and not oily. The other more “innovative” rolls and sushi were, however, a disappointment. Overall, the salmon was great, the maki rolls and fried chicken were nice and the rest were not so good.

Service was nice albeit illogical. Food first, then plates much later. Bottles first, then glasses later. Food preparation was quick, but tasted rather bland. Sushi was o.k. Ramen was disappointing. Decor and atmosphere were both cool.

Amazing place for some good sushi!! I have been to tons of sushi restaurants here in europe and have never been able to find hokkigai, my favorite. The hokkigai was so delicious ! The waiter was so kind and the restaurant had a good atmosphere :)

I really liked this place and would definitely recommend it! Modern decor, simple and very fitting with it's clear lines. The food was delicious, everything freshly prepared with all the details leading to perfection. Great fast service, layed back but professional. Large menu with lots of choices (with pictures too and they all look so good!). Moderate prices. A must try when in the area.

The sushi here is the best one in Bayreuth! But can’t say the same about the ramen. The restaurant is always full, recommend you to make a reservation otherwise you might wait for 30 minutes. But I believe it is worth it! Also recommend visitors try a special desert - mochi, it’s so delicious 🤤

This was a great find in Bayrueth. Arguably the best sushi place I have found in Germany. The restaurant has a nice new deco look. The menu is quite extensive with all kinds of sushi rolls, appetizers and various japanese plates. Will definitely come back here again though I love an hour away.

Oskar was full house so tried this place. Service was top. Very friendly, much appreciated. They serve Schaefele as well and it was good. Recommend.

Unfortunately very rude staff. One even became physically aggressive pushing her way passed our seat as she could not fit and would not walk around our table. Never asked us to make space for her.

This is a great little spot, the have a nice fair to choose from. The goulash is wonderful beer is perfect and very cozy place to enjoy a meal.

The service was good, the restaurant vibe is quite cool but the food was not as good as I expected from a handmade burger restaurant. First, the burger meat seemed dry and not as seasoned as expected. Also, the idea of serving the burgers with the sauce inside a syringe sounds cool at the first glance, but I honestly found it unpleasant - it felt like the food was infected by the syringe and the BBQ inside it looked like blood. Besides that, I expected the BBQ sauce on the burger to be handmade, but it actually tasted like a simple BBQ sauce that you can find in supermarket. The same goes for the artisanal lemonade, which was actually soda with lemon slices.

The burger was decent, the attitude of the waiter however unacceptable! I asked upon arrival if I can sit upstairs and he told me in a very unfriendly way: “Ungern!” I have been at this place before and I was satisfied with the food and the service but this time I was baffled at this attitude. I proceeded to sit upstairs as I liked it anyways because I am not going to follow some waiters wishes just because he is lazy to work. He kept being rude and to be honest I could feel a racist attitude from him as well, also when he took the order and overall this left me with a very bitter feeling and I couldn’t enjoy my stay there at all. I thought multiple times to just stand up and leave but it’s not on my nature to leave scenes as my character does not allow it. But one thing I know for sure, I won’t be coming back!

TLDR - if you have allergies, don't trust them... The atmosphere is pretty nice, a bit loud but very nice decorations. Service staff were very nice to us and helpful... At least the room staff. Kitchen staff decided to ignore the very important request, granted by the waitresses without issues, to remove onions. Problem is that I'm highly allergic to it. 5 stars for waitresses, 0 for kitchen. Hence why the food get only one star. Nothing that you eat at a restaurant that even mark the allergens and PROPOSES to remove allergens from a meal should poison you... Ever. And it did to me.

Great restaurant with a really convenient location. The only drawback is how hard it is to get a table! Make sure to reserve so you don't miss out. What I like about this place compared to other burger shops in Bayreuth IS that you can tell the patties are handmade, not frozen, reheated disks. Good prices and good burgers.

Great atmosphere for families, singles, young, or old. The food is fantastic. Tried the vegan burger but it did not meet my expectations. The burger didn't give me the real meat taste. If not eating a vegan burger, you have nothing to worry about!

Update: same great experience 3 years later!! This time 2 of our boys ate their own giant burger. :) You HAVE to go here. We were visiting Germany for a few days and stopped here for dinner with our kids. The gentleman that runs the place was so kind to us and helpful with our kids. He was happy to split the giant burgers for our kids and he talked to us in English since our German vocabulary consisted of only three words. The food came out and the portions were huge and the quality was top notch. The owner's wife cooks the food and the burger buns are made fresh daily. She came out to say hi to the kids and offered them little chocolates as we were leaving. Oh, one more thing... the place is decorated in a fun way... each booth has a different theme that you'll have to come see for yourself. Like I said, you HAVE to eat here if you are visiting this city. We found it to be the perfect place after spending a lovely evening at the nearby animal park. My compliments to the couple that runs this place. Your love for your restaurant and customers is evident and made the dining experience enjoyable and memorable.

Big portions, no one could actually finish their meal ;-) food was good. Chairs aren’t really comfortable, all wooden hard chairs. With some drinks the price sums up really quickly, expected it to be a bit cheaper. Place seems to be popular, especially with students/young professionals.

I had pleasure of having Nepalese delicacies with perfect vibrant ambience. I really love Momo and Nepali chicken thali set in person. I highly recommend to visit here and enjoy homely comfort food.

The food is ok. But the service was the most horrible one me and my friend could ever have. we asked the waiter if it is possible to offer free water. He said yes. But later when we check out, the water turned out to cost 5.5 Euro. Probably the waiter didn't understand it. Great Cafe for breakfast! Full with people and great food

Stopped by for a quick second breakfast, but were bit disappointed. The American breakfast was weak for the price and the mocha I ordered was stirred badly, so the coffee was lumpy and most of the substance of the instant coffee stuck to the bottom of the glass. The place is nice otherwise, clean, really recommend reserving a table, it was packed and we were lucky to get free table.

Very nice traditional Bavarian bier garden with a great atmosphere. The bratwurst with bread and mix deli platters are the way choice, with a nice bear pint or radler.

We were looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Bayreuth, and chose this one solely based on the reviews. Boy was I disappointed! For Saturday lunch buffet, they had extremely limited selection, and all the menus were basically the same thing (just cooked with sauce that was slightly different). The service was very attentive and we appreciate it, but it was definitely not worth our trip. The taste of food was OK, so if you are just looking for a place where you can have a lot of food, this might work for you. But if you want to enjoy decent Chinese food, I would look for another place.

It's good restaurant, wide range of food, all u can eat, but only thing I don't like is that they use old rice, 2-3 days old, for the sushi.
