Great greek food! Great atmosphere! Very friendly and accommodating staff! The owners are very nice and always doing the best for their customers. Definitely visit when in Bayreuth!
Despina E — Google review
The ingredients and flavors were outstanding, the service was friendly and attentive, nice atmosphere.😍
Teya S — Google review
Everytime I eat Greek food, it is Metaxa sauce with meat, Food was super tasty as always. Service was good as well. I don’t mind but I feel Greek food is a bit overpriced eveywhere. But no complaints I love the food.
Rohit W — Google review
A wonderful restaurant. I had the grilled calamari and it was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was superb. I enjoyed sitting outside on a pleasant summer evening, enjoying the excellent meal.

Located in the city of Bayreuth, this restaurant has good interior. I can't say much about the food because I only had some vegetarian options. But from my teammates, I came to know the food is nice and delicious.
PRAVEEN D — Google review
We took a group of women and children from our bible study. The owners and staff were AMAZING. The food was fabulous, too! Can't wait to go back!
Aimee M — Google review
My friend and I went to this restaurant this evening with very high expectations. However we got really disappointed. The main course we ordered were: pork steak with potato and vegetables, squid and some kind of kebab meat with rice and vegetables. The pork were made very dry, and the riced not cooked. Potato chips not crispy at all. We asked for free tap water, and were told yes. But in the end they charged us 5.5 euros for a jar of house made sparkling water with not so fresh taste. Besides that, they charged a 1.5 euro for doing some kind of barbecue of 4 pieces of squid and not telling us when they wanted us to choose barbecue or not. When we asked about these two charges, the owner had very BAD attitude, he said the water was always charged and he had this restaurant for thirty years and never had problem, so "It's YOUR PROBLEM!" Never seen an owner runs a business with this manner. Shocked. At the end the bill was 45 euros. Very disappointing experience. I don't recommend this restaurant at all.
Ting Q — Google review
Very good Greek food and super friendly service with personal touch. The food is great, portions are ok and lean on the healthy side of cooking style, which is a refreshing alternative to many Greek restaurants. Sitting outside in the old town is also a plus. Also offered us to keep our food warm while mama was busy with our 1-year old. And brought us a kid seat. Best Greek restaurant in Bayreuth in our opinion.

Got a lovely curry here for 9.90. Great portion size, very tasty and filling. Their regular bowls looks awesome too and I wish I could try them. Quick, inexpensive and fully vegan. Recommended!
Lior B — Google review
We popped in there spontaneously, on the way back home from our holiday. This was a really good decision which we made basing on reviews 😍 Bowls are truly huge and tasty 🫶 Fresh ingredients, reasonable prices and very kind, english-speaking staff ❤️ We chose kebab bowls (delicious 😎) and also tasted smoothies - green superfood and apple pie - we highly recommend both 😊
Anna S — Google review
Food was amazing 😍 I had the kebab bowl and the rice pudding with apple topping. Both were amazing. Portions are great as well - I'm full and happy 💚
Sophia H — Google review
Vegan restaurant in Bayreuth. Location is good and accessible. I went there with my vegan friends and I was honestly impressed with their flavor and quality of dishes. The bowl I got was €9 or so and it was huge. All the ingredients were fresh and perfect flavor. Toast was also good and my friends were happy with smoothies too. I highly recommend this place to both vegan and non vegans who like veggies.
Sayaka S — Google review
Great vegan food..absolutely worth. A lot heavy portion. Love the taste..the Poke bowls..latte chai..banana cake..much recommended.
Dipankar G — Google review
Okay, what petition do I have to sign for them to open one store in Grafenwöhr? My husband and I went there today and it was absolutely amazing! We didn’t like that they didn’t have restrooms but other than that, great atmosphere, easy to find and absolutely amazing food and smoothies. We had the mango smoothie and the green smoothie, both very good. My husband had the Taco bowl which he liked a lot and I had the Kebab bowl which I though I just wanted to bathe in it 🤤 we also tried the matcha protein shake which was good as well and we had the banana-carrot-cake which wasn’t our taste but everything else cover up for that 😅 if it wasn’t so far I’d eat there every day!
OhitsEl — Google review
Great vegan food at fair price. I would recommend getting the ready made dishes, as making your own seem to be confusing even for locals. Some ingredients described may be missing: not sure if by mistake or lack of it.

Friendly staff, a wide variety of lovely vegan dishes and the bowls were huge! A perfect place for a filling but healthy vegan meal 💚

Oskar - Das Wirtshaus am Markt is a charming eatery located in a 16th-century town hall, offering a showcase of Franconian and regional cuisine. The restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere for guests to enjoy traditional German and Franconian food. With its outdoor seating, visitors can savor their meals while taking in the historic surroundings. This establishment is known for its solid and substantial German fare, making it a popular choice among locals and tourists alike.
Came in from the street tired, were seated instantly even though the place was quite busy. Ordered a glass of local beer for my wife and Meisel for myself. Drinks arrived fast, the waitress spoke good English. Had a braised pork with a dumpling and sauerkraut, and Wiena schnitzel with salad and potato. Food was delicious, service - excellent and quick. Strongly recommended! 5 out of 5.
NZAURUSS — Google review
A great restaurant in the pedestrian area in the middle of Bayreuth’s old town. They have beautiful indoor dining areas and terrace seating on the street. They serve mainly traditional Bavarian dishes but we ordered chicken schnitzel and mackerel salad. Both of the were delicious and the foods came fast. The service was friendly but they seem a bit understaffed. On a Saturday afternoon, there was almost no available tables left but we could luckily find one table on the terrace. Reservation recommended.
HJLee — Google review
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Why? Because I loved everything from the seating arrangement (the gap between the dining table and me was perfect), and the food was excellent!! The servers were very polite and friendly people. 😄 The ambience is charming and classy. We had Schäufele and Schweinebraten in Biersöße. Then we saw our server carrying a jar full of strawberry 🍓 juice and talked to him. He said it’s in-house fermented strawberry brew (alcohol free). It was slightly sour and yeasty but also sweet. If you’re in the area looking for a romantic lunch/dinner or a family outing even this is the place for you! 🫶🏻 I’ll definitely visit Oskar again. Once again this is one of the best German restaurants in Bavaria!! 👍🏼

Located within the old town in Bayreuth, Germany. Food wasn’t mind-blowing but if you are looking to try Bavarian cuisine, this might be the place! Was a great dining experience nonetheless - the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was lively. Check out my Instagram food blog @kyscals for a more in-depth review!

Traditional German food in a pleasant setting, with in and outdoor options. The food is consistently good and we’ve always had excellent service. The Obadza is my favorite.

The place has a perfect atmosphere, and the waiters are dressed in traditional attire typical of the region. They were very kind and helpful. The food and the beers were very authentic.

It's one of the most-often-mentioned places in Bayreuth and is popular for its German bier heaven experience.
Hands down one of the best breakfast places I have been to in the whole of Germany! Large outdoors and indoors seating area, very atmospheric, delicious concoctions like the croissant breakfast burger, and I had the egg and avocado eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs done to perfection.

Pleasant surprise, very good beer selection and great variety of food options. Service was also relatively fast for such a big venue. Ps: do not forget to pay for parking if you arrive with car, and bring some coins for the machine.
Magyari L — Google review
We were staying at the hotel next door and came here for dinner. We also tried some of the beers, there was a great variety to choose from. The food we ordered Roast Beef and Lammhaxe were absolutely delicious. A wonderful spot for a tasty meal and a good drink!
_NiNiNi_ — Google review
The place itself is super cool, it has a great atmosphere. My husband's steak was amazing, I had the fish which was pretty good. We loved the drinks selection, but it took a while for the server to take our orders. All in all we liked it, would recommend and will be coming back!
Martina K — Google review
You get all the bavarian beer paradise in this place. Also staff is very friendly. You can also visit their store
Ana B — Google review
ATTENTION! You have to pay to park on premise even if you are a guest of the restaurant. If you miss that you will receive a letter with a hefty fine from a contracted company which is never reachable via phone despite "opening" hours mentioned on the fine letter. This is the one-and-only restaurant parking lot that charges its guests that I know and it is not in downtown Munich or Berlin, but in the outskirts of provincial Bayreuth. Out of principle, I will avoid this "unique" place where you are charged parking fees by the bar while tasting a beer or two. Besides: Service very slow, but beers interesting and some very good, food not tasted.
Bernd M — Google review
Great food, lovely dinning area, some staff were very friendly and knowledgeable while others had 0 personality and were un helpful. All in all awesome time. Recommend the brewery tour.
Kaleb L — Google review
The food was so-so. The service was terrible; the waiter preferred to chat with other waiters rather than attend to customers. We waited about 25 minutes for a beer (it wasn't very busy). We waited another 15-20 minutes to pay. The place was generally very nice. We weren't the only ones disappointed with the service. Another customer was also waiting at the bar to order a beer until he pointed out that they weren't doing what they should be doing while at work. Everything was handled with great courtesy. I'll come back just because it's the only place nearby that serves craft beer, but the manager could pay more attention to the people he employs.

Very nice food, very nice location. The service was perfect, friendly and courteous. We celebrate there our anniversary and that was a clam and warm place. A lot of food options (vegetarian and vegan options could be more) I highly recommande !

We visited the restaurant that was with a beautiful outdoor seating area – very clean and nicely decorated. The food was delicious and the service was friendly.
Mahdi N — Google review
Walking distance from the opera and even though all tables were booked , the service was very quick and correct. In addition the carpaccio was delicious and the same for the other dishes we ordered. Lovely tables under the stars on a warm summer night. Incredibly well organized to attend to each guest efficiently and in a friendly way. Mille Grazie Maurizio!
Roxana V — Google review
The hostess was rude. Waiter was great. One entree did not come, no excusal just rudeness from hostess. Then, they charged the whole bill twice on credit card and argued. Just a little constructive feedback
Martina ( — Google review
Nice and lovely atmosphere. I ordered Angus stake and a pizza. All was tasty. Water costs 6 euro. Stake was around of 28. Pizza kinder 7 euro.
Ahmad H — Google review
Fish is not recommended. A waitress tried to bone the sea-bass by bringing a separate table and failed heavily. We asked to give it just like that. Fish tasted not special, and luke warm. For such prices, one should only take guests for pizza and antipasti, since the location and terrace is wonderful.
Pederdelsolar — Google review
The food was delicious indeed, the surrounding is lovely, with a tranquil terrace on the edge if the town. It is quite a pity that for reasons unknown to the stuff was not quite up to the task. I wonder if their objection was me not looking like an opera singer or at least a mayor of some middle sized town, but their friendliness was limited to the absolute minimum. Also, they forgot to take our order for the main course. Would be fine for a small diner, but hey, this is supposed to be one if the fancy restaurants in town. And it isn't cheap.
Imre — Google review
Nice outdoor location, great surroundings, probably the fastest delivery of my order in a restaurant ever (~3min?). Downsite: Very process oriented and for my personal taste still too much Covid oriented (Mid of July). Which brings a lack of coziness. The biggest downside: Food is mediocre, slightly above fast food. Probably related to the delivery time. The meat tastes like frozen twice, and waiting for me all day long in the sun. Not saying it’s the case, but - I don’t know how say, soggy? Vegetables ok, juice with too much water? Would I come again? Maybe, enjoy a drink in the sun. Ignore the staff und no food.

Excellent food and drinks. Busy location in the middle of town, you might need reservations depending on date/time. We ordered a variety of dishes and all of them were delicious. 😋 There is a fireplace and I can imagine why locals say this place is cozy and magical in the wintertime.

You’ve got to try this charming Franconian spot! The house-brewed beer is fantastic, and the traditional dishes are definitely worth experiencing. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and great service make it a place I’d happily recommend for a relaxing meal.

Outside of the main building stand some chairs and wooden tables with table cloth in Bavarian look. Some guests were conveniently enjoying their menu. We looked at the Menu List and we saw some interesting traditional recipes. Excellent taste and something special for my mouth! :-) Of course we ordered Traditional Franconian Dishes. We enjoyed what we ordered and the waiter enjoyed our Tip! :-) Their foods were really A1 in quality and the foods we ordered were both traditional dishes with Bavarian character. Try them you will really enjoy

It is nice atmosphere especially when the weather is good. However, I am very disappointed by the food. The other dishes on our table seemed to be ok. I ordered Schweinefilets and although most of them were soft, some of the pieces were clearly undercooked. The cook was obviously not careful enough to see if every filet is properly cooked. The side dish was spätzle and they were so salty that I could not finish eating them. I paid 16 euro for this dish and I really expected something better. Even if the other dishes of the menu are of better quality, they clearly lost a customer after my experience.

Love the GREAT beer Sampler and their food. Cosy, classy in and outdoor interior. Good , attentive service . Def. kids friendly . Maisel has learned their craft lesson in the US: well done Jeff! Cool: the beer shop sells other greats like Schanze, Orca - Chapeau. Only nuisance : the silly park fees !

We just finished visiting the brewey tour. This experience raised the bar for future exhibitions for me for multiple reasons-it was only the 2 of us in the exibit and we had to discover it ourselves with the help of the audio guide and most importantly the interactive part in the basement. I would wholehartedly recommed it to anyome visiting Bayeruth and is a fan of beer! 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic food, the catacombs tour was really interesting, and the beers were great as well. Very nice atmosphere, delicious and well cooked meals, versatile dishes, friendly workers, prices are adequate and definitely worth it, we were satisfied in every way✨

I ordered the Lamm Tikka through Uber eats, and it was a truly disappointing experience. The meat was extremely poor in quality—old, stinky, and completely inedible. It didn’t even smell fresh, let alone taste good. For an online order, where customers rely on the restaurant’s commitment to quality, this was completely unacceptable. I couldn’t even finish the meal and ended up throwing it away. I strongly urge the restaurant to improve the quality of their ingredients and conduct better checks before sending out food. I won’t be ordering from here again unless they address this issue.

I did a round trip in North India and this brought back memories. Awesome restaurant, nice service and very delicious food. The buffet is till 2pm. and it’s absolutely worth it! Will be back on our next visit to Bayreuth.

I had sudden urge to eat Indian food and found this place in Bayreuth. Their outdoor seating is lovely and spacious. They took enough spaces between all the guests so we were able to eat at restaurant very comfortably. Service was mostly great. Our server was very sweet and nice. We ordered butter chicken and lamb vidaloo and both of them are amazing. Meats are both cooked well and not dried. Curry sauce in both were amazing. Lassi was so good that I ordered twice. If u haven’t been this place, you are missing out!

Hands down the best Indian restaurant in the area. It is usually well-visited, so call and make a reservation ahead. The interior is super comfy, colorful and the food is absolutely delicious and fresh. We highly recommend the mango lassi, samosa, banana chicken and chicken tikka masala. They just recently remodeled the inside and have new menus. Soon they will also open their winter garden. Their service is top notch and very attentive. Highly, highly recommend!

Very good restaurant, but we are extremely disappointed by the fact that it is not possible to pay by card, and we discovered that only when we asked for the bill! My husband had to go and look for a bank while it was raining..this is a very unpleasant experience and the owner should have told us in advance. That's why we give 2 stars for the service. The waiters are friendly and kind.

A bit pricy, but worth it. High quality vegan food (although it can be a bit hard to know what is vegetarian and what is vegan). If you have trouble with German, there is a high chance your waiter speaks English too.

"Da Corrado" is a modern Italian restaurant located in Bayreuth, offering a cozy atmosphere and upscale traditional cuisine. The restaurant serves a variety of Italian specialties, delicious pizzas, and a wide range of European, vegetarian, and Mediterranean dishes. Additionally, the menu includes healthy options for diners. Visitors can enjoy starters, drinks, pasta, gnocchi and more at this high-quality establishment that is highly recommended for its excellent beef dishes.
Starters, drinks, pasta, gnocchi. Everything was delicious, such a high quality place. Would definitely recommend.

- recommended - This italian restaurant, placed in the centre of Bayreuth, is not only worth taking a glance at as the exterior and the interior are well-groomed but also worth talking a seat at. The place is also suitable for disabled people, vegetarians and business people. The menue offers a great deal of starters, such as bruscettas with various toppings. In comparison the possibilities for the main course are a bit limited but still very special (homemade green, normal or black gnocchi with wine-sauce combined with salmon, various kinds of spaghetti,...). Desserts are available as well. The cooking-skills and decor-skills are unbelievable! Spices are well picked and the portions are appropriate. The waiters are very welcoming and caring as they continuously make sure everything is alright. The prices are acceptable: a starter costs ~ (sometimes 3.50€) 7.50€ - 9.00€ a menue costs ~ 11.00€ - 18.00€ All in all it's definitely worth a visit!

(Translated by Google) We celebrated our civil wedding with Corrado and his team. Excellent service from start to finish, excellent food - generally a great time! Crostini platters for starters (we left the variants entirely to Corrado and were thrilled!). This was followed by a large salad, sage gnocchi, parmigianna, steak and a large tuna steak - simply delicious! A delicacy at the end, be it a pana cotta or tiramisu - there was something for everyone :) We are already looking forward to the next time at Corrado! Went there because of excellent reviews. After visiting the place I’m quite surprised where all those 5-star reviews are coming from. Very average pasta made with canned tomato sauce and only 5 pastas in menu seems quite odd for an Italian restaurant. They didn’t even bring pepper, salt or olive oil, not even talking about bread. Too overpriced for very average food.

Food was good, but the service ruined the experience. Our server was dismissive, ignored us most of the time, and never mentioned the kitchen was closing until we tried to order dessert. Poor communication and attitude made the visit disappointing.

Very nice interior, food is delicious. Service could improve a lot! We waited more than an hour for our main course. That’s unacceptable. No snack or apology only until we wanted to pay...then we were offered a dessert. Not worth waiting such a long time for food.

Manns Bräu, located at Friedrichstrasse 25, 95444 Bayreuth, is a beloved spot offering a delightful combination of self-brewed beer and authentic Franconian cuisine. The menu features traditional dishes such as 'Schaufele' (crispy pork shoulder) with dumplings and sauerkraut, as well as the Franconian Sauerbraten. On Sundays, they also serve a special roast in keeping with tradition.
Cozy little brewpub on the edge of the Altstadt. Small dining area inside but what you see when you walk in is the beer window. Several great options vom fass and even a guest tap or two. Also some bottles available. Buy your beer(s) at the window and head outside on a beautiful evening for a great Bayreuth experience!

Amazing and authentic Franconian/Bavarian food with a great choice of delicious beer. Nowadays you rarely find these kind of local places around, so if you want to get a feeling of how it was going to a restaurant back in the day’s, that’s your place to go. The food is delicious, offers a great variety and the portions are adequate too. I was happy to eat a dish called “Bauernschmaus” since I haven’t seen that one for ages in a restaurant. Definitely try their local beer as well. The staff is nice and helpful and the waiting time for our food was adequate as well.

If you're searching for another fantastic brewery and activity in Bayreuth, Germany for beer enthusiasts, make sure to visit Becher Bräu e.K., a family-owned and operated brewpub. It is located a short distance from the city center but is definitely worth the walk. Although we couldn't secure a spot inside due to its cozy appearance, we opted to sit outside despite the dropping temperatures.
It's a fair little walk from the center but well worth it. Couldn't get a spot in the cozy looking interior so sat outside despite temps dropping. We managed to have a nice meal rather quickly. We had a nice plate of Kalterbraten and another hot beef meal with potato pancakes. Their unfiltered Pils was good but the Dunkles was excellent even if not on tap. Latibo Cocktail-Bar is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, especially before hitting the dance floor. The bar is known for its delicious and reasonably priced cocktails, which become even more affordable during happy hour. Despite its cozy atmosphere, it can get quite busy due to its popularity. The owner and bartender, Bobby, has been running the place for years and is well-loved by patrons. It's a great place to enjoy cool and affordable drinks served by friendly staff in a relaxed setting.
I've been a regular at Latibo Cocktail-Bar for a while now, especially before heading out to the disco. This place really stands out for its exceptional cocktails that are not only delicious but also surprisingly affordable. What makes it even better is their happy hour – the prices are unbeatable, making it the perfect spot to start your evening. The bar has a charming vibe, although it can get a bit cramped. This, in my opinion, is a testament to its popularity and the quality of drinks they serve. While the service might occasionally be on the slower side, it’s worth the wait, and the owner's friendliness adds a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. If you're looking for a place with great drinks and a lively atmosphere, Latibo should definitely be on your list.

I really don't understand why this place is rated as best cocktail bar as far as I have heard. Cocktails taste so commercially made. One does not taste the essence of that extra pinch of I don't know.... Cocktails are abt the taste, not the quantity cos then the actual taste is not really well executed. Glasses are too big and after 1,2,3 sips, the melted ice makes it tasteless... Ambience is good. Nice, friendly workers too.

As an American, this is a great place to eat. The burgers taste like an authentic American cheese burger. It's a taste of home away from home. I'd recommend their mam-mam burger with fries. I wouldn't get the chili cheese fries or the Tijuana fries though. The chili cheese fries are not with chili as you'd expect, but just jalapeno and melted cheese. The Tijuana fries have guac that's very blended like a smoothie consistency. Interesting, but not quite what it should be. Everything else is good though, burgers, drinks, and fries/onion rings are amazing. I've been here 4+ times during my extended stay in Bayreuth.

L'Osteria Bayreuth is a delightful culinary gem that transports you straight to Italy with its vibrant atmosphere and diverse menu. From mouthwatering pizzas and delectable pasta dishes to Mediterranean specialties, juicy burgers, and even vegetarian options, there's something for everyone. The restaurant also caters to Halal preferences, ensuring inclusivity in dining choices. Guests rave about the authentic flavors reminiscent of Italy, particularly praising the antipasto and pizza.
Despite being crowded, the friendly staff at L'Osteria Bayreuth found us a table for four right away. Our drinks arrived within minutes, and the delicious pizzas followed shortly after. The service was fantastic – the waiters were attentive and professional. The restaurant itself has a lively atmosphere with a mix of tables and a bar area. The toilets were clean, and overall, it made for a great experience. It's perfect for a casual meal with good company. Thanks, L'Osteria!

Very friendly staff. One of the waiter misunderstood our order and got something we didn’t order but he didn’t complain and took it back with a smile. Loved the food as it was so fresh ! The Gnocchi with shrimp was just amazing !!

Incredible spot. We went during the Festa Itálica, which had to have been one of their busiest days of the year. Still sat within ten minutes. Had a wonderful Montepulciano priced well. They have a spicy olive oil in the table that was great on the pizza bread appetizer. Lasagna and tiramisu were delicious! Looking forward to go back.

Not the best pizza I had but still delicious. This restaurant offers a great atmosphere, urban interior, excellent staff and fast service. They also have nice outside seating for the warm summer months. Definitely a place to visit when you are on the hunt for a quick bite. Quite noisy, so I would not recommend it for a romantic date night.

Great staff, very accommodating! We arrived with a large group and they happily served us. Thank you so much!!

Great place for pizzas and reasonable prices. The specialty for this place must be the size of the pizza as it exceeds the plate by a few centimeters around the edges of the plate. The pizzas are thin and crispy with just the right toppings, the taste of the tomato sauce was a bit boring though and missed flavor. Service was attentive and fast. We had a table outside which was great on a warm evening. I can recommend this place.

Unbelievable taste of Italy in Bayreuth. Antipasto were the best in my life, pizza... Same taste as in Italy. But, i wanna add few words about service, here working the most polite and beautiful waiters, lady Mina was our waiter, also Filipe was helping her. So, in Bavarian area, in Bayreuth it's the best service, that i got. Wish luck for this Italian restaurant, always will come back here!!! Grateful thanks for kitchen workers, they keep real level of Italian kitchen!!!

A cozy yet elegant brewpub on the edge of the Altstadt. Clearly a family run operation with some history. Several beer options vom fass and I chose the Shinnerla, their house beer and Helles lager. Great traditional dishes and seasonal options. The bärlauchcremesuppe was delicious! Also enjoyed the jägerkrüstchen as the main dish. A warm, friendly place for couples, groups, and families.

I can only recommend this kitchen which serves typical Bavarian food but with a little revisiting. The service is smiling and effective, the portions are ample. On the way from old city centre to Haus Wahnfried, you will and should not miss it.
Christian K — Google review
Though this is no longer a brewery, their beer is contract brewed elsewhere and still quite good. It's dry and fruity. The pub is bit kitschy but from what I read, the food sounds good. We stopped in for last call after eating (and drinking) at still brewing Becher-Bräu on the outskirts of town. I'd eat here next time and have more than one beer, too.
Beer W — Google review
Menu, setting and the beer all looked promising as I passed this pub on the way to the museums, and I also read the notice at the door saying that Sunday closing was 1400 hours, with last food orders at 1330. Cutting short my time at one of the museums, to be sure of gettting served, at 1315 I entered the half-empty restaurant, to be firmly turned away. Probably this is a good place to eat: certainly I missed out owing to poor customer service.

This charming restaurant boasts an inviting atmosphere where guests can savor a diverse menu featuring Italian and European cuisine. From mouthwatering pizzas to delectable vegetarian and Mediterranean dishes, there's something for everyone. Health-conscious diners will also appreciate the selection of wholesome options available.
One of the best restaurants in the region. Gourmet quality dining at very reasonable prices. The staff are efficient, well-trained, and friendly and helpful. They obviously love their work and their employer. Happy staff at a restaurant is an indicator of good management. The location couldn't be better, but parking can be a hassle. It's probably easiest to use the Unteres Tor parking garage and walk the few hundred meters to the restaurant. Dötzer has the reputation of being an "exclusive" eatierie, but I think it's a great, welcoming choice for anyone looking for a special evening. There are plenty of choices on the menu for most budgets.

Excellent dining. Not overly pricey for the value provided. One of THE restaurants in Bayreuth.

Great food, decent service, but... we were seated on the back terrace at the bottom of the stairs to the restaurant, which would normally be a beautiful place to sit - however, there is a harsh light connected a motion sensor which means that every time a waiter appears, the table suddenly switches from romantic evening candlelight to horrible white glare - every few seconds. What a disappointment. Also, time to join the 21st century and use a bank/payment provider which accepts Apple Pay. Otherwise - very good.

The restaurant Adria, located in Bayreuth on Carl-Schuller, Burgerreuther, and Gutenbergstrasse, offers an enjoyable experience of Italian cuisine. With partial accessibility for individuals with limited mobility, it caters to a wide range of visitors. The establishment is known for its delectable pizzas and fish dishes that are highly rated by patrons. The friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining fair prices for their quality food.
Great place! We were searching for a place to have a supper with two little children on Saturday at 7pm , every place was full with no option for table. The service in Adria was very helpful, they made an effort to make a place for us so we could have some rest and get a really good, Italian meal. I highly recommend this place not only because of the great menu, but also because of a really great service and very kind people!

Does it feel comfortable to you being judged by your close and how much you can buy? I came to this place full from previous restaurant - wanted some beer but everything was already closed at Sunday but this place. After ordering a beer a waiter looked at me like rolling his eyes and immediately asked what does he mean, because it was super-rude. He said "no nothing, it’s a restaurant for you to know but all good". I was shocked!!!!!! Never in a million years I will come here again! It’s not a "local business" anymore, it’s reach people who will be angry at you for not paying them enough money.
Дар'я З — Google review
This was your typical neighbourhood Italian restaurant. Food wasn’t outstanding but portion sizes are big, and service was sufficiently given we spoke no German. The spaghetti were not great quality but were at least cooked al dente - even though my carbonara was, by all measures, not a carbonara. It was tiny chunks of speck and there was cream in it - so at least half the ingredients are wrong. But still, totally serviceable. 3/5.
Kevin C — Google review
a good experience- the restaurant is located rather less centrally and difficult to find. The main train station is nearby, hotels only a few meters away, parking lots aren't close. The entrance is rather inappropriate for disabled people as it's narrow. Fortunately, generous and attentive staff members welcome their guests right at the entrance. Without reservation, it's hard to find a place to sit but still, it doesn't get too loud in the rooms (well structured). Sadly, there aren't any windows so it might get hot and sticky. Menues are brought right away, waiters have everything under control and arrive right at time and the food gets served quickly. The payment works perfectly. All in all: great service. The seats are comfortable, tables are cleaned and furnishings are basic but lovely. Though some of the seats are separated with plastic partitions which is harmful to the environment and unpleasant for guests, at least precautionary measures offer a secure surrounding. The food isn't astonishing. My toppings on the pizza (with shrimps, spinach) were too tiny and almost cooled down. The pizza was rather hard then soft and fluffy. My boyfriend's pizza (picture 1, with Peperoni, salami) had a weird taste because the spices didn't harmonize. But: The bottom of the pizza was not crumbly and not thick (rather thin and tasty, yum!). The food was neither burnt nor portioned too small. Waiting time is short. Prices are standart: small pizza 7.50€-10€ and big Pizza 11€-14€. My experience was amazing as the welcoming atmosphere led to an unforgettable evening full of laughter and chills. Even though one might work on the interior and exterior, the visit was good.

Awful food. Who puts strawberries in the risotto?? I would have thought Italians should have never allowed that, but oh well they did. Asparagus risotto with strawberries in it. And pappardelle with asparagus with orange skin in it. Apart from the totally irrelevant mixed in ingredients, the food was super bad. It wasn’t tasty and it didn’t look good either. Felt like it was pre-made and warmed up when we ordered it. It’s also because it arrived no more than 10 minutes after we ordered. First time, I have gotten a “fresh” risotto in under 10 minutes. I would have thought it takes at least 20-25 minutes for a fresh one. Please avoid. I wonder how this place is surviving and have somewhat good reviews.

We came for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation and they still were willing to sit us on a reservation table until 8 which we left way before then. There were only two servers and it was busy so they were hustling. My husband got the strawberry drink and enchiladas and I got a burrito. My husband food and drink tasted better than mine. I had to ask for a side of sauce for my burrito because it was a little dry. Then I got churros. It was okay. Overall to me food was okay for price but the restaurant is very nice and good place to get some drinks with friends.

we always try to visit enchilada whenever we can in a city. Enchilada is one of my favorite restaurant chain there is (although it was not a really big chain). Simply being there made me fell happy because of the decors or generally the visitor are happy young people that come to party and have fun drinking and eating with their friends. The music is also really exciting. If you came only for the food, this might not be for you because the portion was not really big. But the taste was guite good, and the ingredients are pretty fresh. Most people came here for drinks, on happy hours you can drink a lot with less money.

Good. Meets the expectations of a Mexican restaurant. Very nicely decorated, many seats (both inside and outside), very clean toilets, staff helpful & nice and a wide variety of delicious food and drinks. However, there is no indication of the quantity of the drinks, so I had to order a new one after three sips. Furthermore the portions are small But all in all, it's worth a visit!

Waiter was overwhelmed but sweet Food was mediocre This is my 3rd time I went there and it was my last if I can prevent it. The fries are really good, I will say that much. The chili cheese sauce has never in her life seen any chili. It was cheese sauce and a ready made one as well. The patty of my burger was ok the bun dry. We were a huge group so some delays and messed up ordees are to be expected but if you only put ONE waiter alone there to take orders of roughly 55 people.... that's ridiculous. He was understandably totally overwhelmed. Food came fast.,..if it came without reminding them. It could be a really nice place but for the price tag I expect a more organised place and honestly....better food.

We visited the place on a Saturday morning for the breakfast buffet. It was quite cold inside and the tables haven't been cleaned properly (there was ham and butter sticking to one of the chairs...). The buffet food was okay but nothing extraordinary for the price, drinks not included. Tiny plates so that you would have to take several trips to the buffet bar if you wanted a decent portion.
Vero B — Google review
It's ok... Well the Cafe is located directly next to the street so the traffic gets noticed pretty easily. But the design of the Café makes it very comfortable because it's very well decorated and cleaned with lots of space (interior & exterior). Toilets are also clean. The offer of food & drinks is big (American specialities, Thai kitchen, German food,...) and the prizes aren't as high (food around 10-15€, drinks around 3-5€). But during my visit, the staff was so unorganized and chaotic that my first offer got ignored so I sadly didn't get anything served for long. The food tasted good, the portions are normal sized. As it came to payment, the staff member made a mistake in counting all my offers, another staff member couldn't communicate with me because of lack in German language (which isn't appropriate as a waiter) and another employee had difficulties in remembering the table-numbers as he served the wrong food to the wrong guests multiple times so I'm disappointed in the service. Free WiFi and online menus available. All in all its worth a visit, minded that the service and location aren't as enjoyable.

Start your day right with an extensive breakfast buffet before exploring the local sights. The hotel's restaurant serves up delectable dishes, including gourmet options that even famed composer Wagner enjoyed during his visits.
I recently had the upmost pleasure of staying in the Goldener Anker in Bayreuth. The hotel was beautiful and unique. I was warmly greeted by a real person on reception and my bags were carried up to the room for me. My room was clean spacious and decorated fantastically in red. My ensuite was gleaming with all the extras you would like tissues, shower gel, lotion, mirrors, towels of every size and a comfort box with a shower cap, ear plugs, cotton pads and buds. The bed was comfortable and the hotel nice warm and cozy. My breakfast was delicious served by friendly staff in an elegant dining room with white table clothes and real silver cutlery. The food was great, cooked perfectly and included goose, trout and beef, the chef excellent. I got a sneaky peak into some of the other bedrooms all different and exquisite. I took time to look around Bayreuth and also took the train (station only a few minutes walk from the hotel) to Nuremberg to the Christmas market there. Overall I was just over joyed that hotels like this still exist, unique, quirky, with wonderful attention to detail in all areas. An awesome, relaxing, enjoyable experience for me all round.

The German experience we were looking for! Such a delightful stay from beginning to end. Eva, (the owner), her family, and her staff made sure we wanted for nothing. Our luggage was carried to our room for us. This was a huge blessing since there aren’t any elevators. Our space was truly a gift from God. 3 middle aged women from the States, wanted to share a space and not be separated. Understanding this desire, Eva came to the rescue offering us the 3rd floor. Typically used for conferences. It came with more than what we could have hoped for. We immediately began to explore this beautifully decorated floor. The eclectic furnishings provided much interest. Vintage rugs as wall hangings. She used curtains to hide the electrical box. Linens that just begged one to take a rest. A bathroom that could easily accommodate the 3 of us getting ready for the day. The half bath had a pull chain to flush the toilet. A unique surprise for sure. There was even a dog bed in the loft area. The conference rooms could easily be used for 10 or more people in each of the several rooms off the loft. Breakfast each morning made this historical landmark feel more like a bed and breakfast. A basket of bread, coffee, tea, juice, eggs, yogurt, meats and fruit left us feeling satisfied and ready to head out for the adventure of the day. The tables have white linen tablecloths with beautiful white orchids. Rich dark wooded walls with stained glass windows, invited you to stay longer and not rush through breakfast. Walking out the front door led us to shops, cafes, and bars. Inside/outside dining allowed us the pleasure of sampling true German foods. A few minutes walk led us to the Hofgarten, a must for all to experience. And finally on our last day, Eva’s son drove us to the Munich airport using the hotel van at a reasonable price. This was also a gift, considering we didn’t want to take the train again. It was difficult to say good-bye but I believe we’ll be back and we will absolutely stay at the Goldener Anker! You should too! You will feel like royality.

Our first impression was that the service person was grumpy and was not friendly at all. But after a while, we’ve noticed that he’s in fact nice . The food came quick and were good.

The food was okay overall — nothing particularly special. The currywurst earns a solid 7/10. The sausage was quite good, and the sauce added a nice touch, but the fries were bland and lacked seasoning. The cheese spaetzle, while visually appealing with its grilled topping, lacked depth of flavor. I'd give it a 5,5/10.

Located in Bayreuth's Southeastern Inner City, Hua Hin is a Thai restaurant that offers patrons the opportunity to indulge in authentic Thai cuisine. Although it may not be accessible for individuals with limited mobility due to its lack of wheelchair accessibility, Hua Hin provides a diverse menu filled with delectable dishes from Thailand.
It was an amazing experience. The starters (satay, spring rolls and calamari) were heavenly. The three duck dishes we ordered were worth the cost. The platters were so full, the duck crispy and/or juicy. Furthermore, the ambience of the restaurant was just right. I never knew such a place existed just off the beaten track in this small town. I have to thank my daughter for the inspiration.

We visited on a cold, wet night in March, so there were not many people about, and the restaurant was fairly empty. There were six of us, so we had plenty of space. Service was helpful and friendly and the food was very good (in my limited experience of Thai food). I had a soup to start and then sweet and sour style prawns, which was very tasty and not overly sweet, as in some Chinese restaurants. The wine was good value in 1L bottles, although not the highest quality (you get what you pay for) - but drinkable. As we struggled to find anywhere open that had space, we were very pleased to be accommodated in this warm, nicely decorated space.
Lesly H — Google review
A very good Thai restaurant. The meals were very delicious and the cocktails equally good. HOWEVER the service is very terrible. Specifically, the main employee is rude, never smiles, and acts angry every time we visit. We wish she was friendly and more welcoming as the food is so good.
JK M — Google review
A generous two stars here because this establishment typically has decent food (for Bayreuth -important caveat). But whatever you do, don’t get fried rice. The rice was pretty mushy and kind of salty. Fried rice 101 failed. My dining companions did mostly have decent food, I must admit. But one thing we all agreed on was the egregious service. And some of it definitely seemed racially motivated. They would fawn over and hover near the white customers and have zero patience with us. Also, if they had multiple plates of food, they would literally bypass our table and then return. Bizarre to watch in practice. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

I really had a great time. The food was good, and I really loved the bamboo aesthetic.

I ordered Mittagsmenu 2, €8.90. I didn't know the name of this meal, but tasted like Pho Xao (Vietnamese meal) rather than Thai taste... And staffs were not very friendly. If you expect whatever Asian taste not genuin Thai, it can be a good place, especially the interior was quite South-east Asia taste.

was crowdy at Saturday but they have found a table for us. So for sure it is better to book a table. We like Thai food but here we found Tom Yam not so spicy but salty. Our 9 year old daughter was happy to eat this change. We May ordered a wrong article and need to try it again. A rice with schrimps was very tasty. Jasmin tea was served in a small nice teapot. The decert with ananases was also good and our son was happy to see ice cream inside. Atmosphere is fine.

Our family of two adults and two young kids ate an early dinner here a couple weeks ago and we were very impressed! The staff is very friendly and kind, very patient with our kiddos. The food was also delicious! We had sushi and the fried noodles with tofu. So good. We will definitely be back again!

We stopped over at the this place while traveling south. We had simple soup, fried rice and rice noodles. Food was great and tasty. However the service was not that great. It felt as if they were not interested in serving us and annoyed. When asked for child high chair answer was “It there in some corner”. Hence the just 2 stars for service.

First of all, it is not possible to pay with a card. We left our belongings and went out of the restaurant to withdraw money. We didn't sit at a nice table because we didn't make a reservation. That was our mistake. The taste of the chicken in the noodle was bad, so I added plenty of sweet chili sauce. But the sushi was good

Great service, the waiter was REALLY nice! The food is good. They make a great pizza (5/5), they have a great dough. My Caesar salad was ok, just something was missing, bud the vegetable was fresh (4/5) and the chicken was tasty and not dry. Italian salad was ok but they used low quality ham in slices and it looked horrible and tasted like a ham from a plastic cover (3/5). Overall I liked the restaurant and I recommend to go there.

They have the best soya sauce as well. I also ordered a vegetarian Kape & it was really good. The plate size is big, it comes with salad & rice. I have also tried the Japanese version of a Lassi & it's so refreshing & good! Their prices are ok, not too expensive nor cheap. I recommend it ☺️

The food was perfect—the quality and the taste. The restaurant was very busy and noisy. At the beginning, we waited 10 minutes, even though we had a reservation.
Sona P — Google review
Went here because of the high rating on Google maps and wasn’t disappointed given expectations. The sushi (nigiri) were giant, with 3x the rice as normal, so the balance was quite off. The salmon was of very good quality but sadly not the tuna maguro. I was pleasantly surprised that they had kanpyo maki though. That said, the main problem with the sushi rice was that it was just a giant lump of rice and not seasoned as it should (so it’s not quite Shari). We also had tori karaage (fried chicken) and dumplings. The karaage was fine, fried very well and not oily. The other more “innovative” rolls and sushi were, however, a disappointment. Overall, the salmon was great, the maki rolls and fried chicken were nice and the rest were not so good.

Service was nice albeit illogical. Food first, then plates much later. Bottles first, then glasses later. Food preparation was quick, but tasted rather bland. Sushi was o.k. Ramen was disappointing. Decor and atmosphere were both cool.

A bowl of pasta, simple as it sounds, is a tricky dush to get right. It requires the perfect marriage of fresh ingredients, heated bowls, the correct cuisson of the pasta and a depth of flavour in the sauce....and that is exactly what we were presented with tonight im Gott's, Bayreuth, Franconia, Bavaria. I had the penne con salsiccia piccante and Mick had the linguune con rucola e krabben ( GERMAN for shrimps and can't locate the Italian word right now). Service was v friendly and efficient. (Translated by Google) Presumably nothing has changed here in the last 30 years, neither the concept nor the furnishings or even the menu. You feel like you've been transported back to the 80s or 90s. There are very large portions of pasta, so no one goes hungry here. Almost everything is served in cream sauce, pizzas are missing from the menu. There is a small selection of food for vegetarians, at least. However, it lacks the sophistication and the Italian charm. The restaurant is more reminiscent of a student bar from the 90s. Nevertheless, it has a cult following among the locals and is well attended. There is now also a garden in summer. It was tasty... but it probably won't be enough for a second time.

But pasta in all variations: We chose the Lucullus spaghetti according to the original recipe and were thrilled. The service was good, the restaurant vibe is quite cool but the food was not as good as I expected from a handmade burger restaurant. First, the burger meat seemed dry and not as seasoned as expected. Also, the idea of serving the burgers with the sauce inside a syringe sounds cool at the first glance, but I honestly found it unpleasant - it felt like the food was infected by the syringe and the BBQ inside it looked like blood. Besides that, I expected the BBQ sauce on the burger to be handmade, but it actually tasted like a simple BBQ sauce that you can find in supermarket. The same goes for the artisanal lemonade, which was actually soda with lemon slices.
Amanda B — Google review
The burger was decent, the attitude of the waiter however unacceptable! I asked upon arrival if I can sit upstairs and he told me in a very unfriendly way: “Ungern!” I have been at this place before and I was satisfied with the food and the service but this time I was baffled at this attitude. I proceeded to sit upstairs as I liked it anyways because I am not going to follow some waiters wishes just because he is lazy to work. He kept being rude and to be honest I could feel a racist attitude from him as well, also when he took the order and overall this left me with a very bitter feeling and I couldn’t enjoy my stay there at all. I thought multiple times to just stand up and leave but it’s not on my nature to leave scenes as my character does not allow it. But one thing I know for sure, I won’t be coming back!

TLDR - if you have allergies, don't trust them... The atmosphere is pretty nice, a bit loud but very nice decorations. Service staff were very nice to us and helpful... At least the room staff. Kitchen staff decided to ignore the very important request, granted by the waitresses without issues, to remove onions. Problem is that I'm highly allergic to it. 5 stars for waitresses, 0 for kitchen. Hence why the food get only one star. Nothing that you eat at a restaurant that even mark the allergens and PROPOSES to remove allergens from a meal should poison you... Ever. And it did to me.

My most favorite burger place EVER! The Quetschen is what you need to visit when you are in Bayreuth. This unique place is older than myself and never had a lack in quality. Their burgers are what makes this place so incredible. They are delicious, good-looking and super huge. The best part of it is that they make their buns themselves. Back in the day we used to eat two of these goodies, but believe me, one is more than enough. :) A little tip at the edge: They offer coupon codes on their website, which save you 2€ per meal - simply print those and hand them over while you order your food.

Update: same great experience 3 years later!! This time 2 of our boys ate their own giant burger. :) You HAVE to go here. We were visiting Germany for a few days and stopped here for dinner with our kids. The gentleman that runs the place was so kind to us and helpful with our kids. He was happy to split the giant burgers for our kids and he talked to us in English since our German vocabulary consisted of only three words. The food came out and the portions were huge and the quality was top notch. The owner's wife cooks the food and the burger buns are made fresh daily. She came out to say hi to the kids and offered them little chocolates as we were leaving. Oh, one more thing... the place is decorated in a fun way... each booth has a different theme that you'll have to come see for yourself. Like I said, you HAVE to eat here if you are visiting this city. We found it to be the perfect place after spending a lovely evening at the nearby animal park. My compliments to the couple that runs this place. Your love for your restaurant and customers is evident and made the dining experience enjoyable and memorable.

If you're in Bayreuth and craving authentic Greek cuisine, look no further than the charming Greek Restaurant. This delightful eatery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for both romantic dinners and family gatherings. With generous portion sizes that are ideal for sharing, you'll find yourself savoring every bite of their fresh and flavorful dishes. The menu features excellent starters alongside hearty mains like gyros with metaxa that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy.
Lovely Greek restaurant in Bayreuth. Service was very polite and nice. Patient as well as we had hard time deciding anything. Potion was so big that I needed to share with other people. Everything tasted amazing and fresh. They got both indoor and outdoor seating and the ambience is good for both date or family outing. Price of entree is €15-19 which is very reasonable considering the potion. I would recommend this place if u like Greek food
Sayaka S — Google review
A very nice restaurant with nice outdoor seating section. We tried alot of different dishes and all of them were great. I tired gyros with metaxa. Super & delicious. Service was also great.

The absolute best Greek restaurant within 50 miles of Bayreuth. The food is always good, the staff friendly, and the prices reasonable. Our go to Greek restaurant.

It's a very nice place, and the food is also very nice, but the menu is not as axpected, many Greek dishes are missing, also the service is not so nice, and very slow (the restaurant wasn't full when we visited).

Very good food on a beautiful plate. Excellent starters. Not much to chose from for vegetarians. Very friendly service. Location and atmosphere is nice. The restaurant is located in the house behind the former restaurant.
FI L — Google review
The food is ok. But the service was the most horrible one me and my friend could ever have. we asked the waiter if it is possible to offer free water. He said yes. But later when we check out, the water turned out to cost 5.5 Euro. Probably the waiter didn't understand it. However, the water tasted sooo bad, even worse than the tap water, never mention it was not cheap at all! when we asked politely why the water was charged, the cashier was also very rude by speaking very loud with some unfriendly body gestures. GEE! I mean if was just a mistake, then just explain it, instead of being rude to your customers. In a word, the WORST experience i ever had in restaurants in Germany.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Menu only in German but easily translated on the phone. Bavarian only menu, perhaps for the month of October? Especially enjoyed the hamburger and goulash. Wienerschnitzel a bit on the dry side as it tends to be ...

We went to celebrate my husband's birthday, and everything was great! The food was amazing, and the waitress was excellent; we don't speak German well, and she did her best to understand us. The plates are huge, so if you don't eat much, just one start is enough for 2 people.

Great menu choice and a lovely outside seating area. Update. We recently revisited and had the most exceptional food. Honestly. Hours later we thought again about our food and felt good. Stopped by for a quick second breakfast, but were bit disappointed. The American breakfast was weak for the price and the mocha I ordered was stirred badly, so the coffee was lumpy and most of the substance of the instant coffee stuck to the bottom of the glass. The place is nice otherwise, clean, really recommend reserving a table, it was packed and we were lucky to get free table.

The ambiance here is perfect for social gatherings and leisurely evenings. Accessed via stairs or a barrier-free route, Herzogkeller offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
I've lived in Germany a long time but still enjoy finding really traditional places. This one recommended by a friend is a very shady and comfortable beer garden right under the old brewery. It's a very simple menu, but the inside hall is very impressive with not too many similar places still around in Germany.

We were looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Bayreuth, and chose this one solely based on the reviews. Boy was I disappointed! For Saturday lunch buffet, they had extremely limited selection, and all the menus were basically the same thing (just cooked with sauce that was slightly different). The service was very attentive and we appreciate it, but it was definitely not worth our trip. The taste of food was OK, so if you are just looking for a place where you can have a lot of food, this might work for you. But if you want to enjoy decent Chinese food, I would look for another place.

The food here is so delicious, and the chef follows the traditional recipes from his native Sicily, as well as some local options! The decor is very warm and cosy and very traditional. My partner was so impressed with the range of options, and she loved the salad with perfectly grilled prawns! Everyone is very friendly and the service was excellent - we wish we were in Bayreuth for more time so that we could eat here again. Super lecker!

We came spontaneously without reservation with a small child. Restaurant was empty, just few tables were busy and we said that we need food for the child (1,5 years) because we arrived late and didn’t have any other options. The women said she doesn’t have any options and doesn’t have capacity to prepare any food. She said it in a very rude tone. No compassion to our situation. We would be even happy to take away spaghetti. But this NO just killed me. Horrible attitude and horrible service!

Sushi lovers will also find themselves in paradise with the restaurant's authentic Japanese specialties. The emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients is evident throughout the menu.
Dinner all-you-can-eat: Huge variety of freshly made asian-style food. The pallette is complimented with some western dishes mostly for desert. Food is always in suitable quantities. Make sure to come close to opening so the quite high price is worthwhile. Pay when entering the restaurant. Card is accepted.

A large buffet with drinks included. Had interesting meat options like Kangaroo, Zebra, Shark and Alligator. You have to pay up front and definitely make a reservation on the weekends.
Gijs K — Google review
Very overpriced, but one of the best all-you-can eat in the area. Only take what you eat, since there is a fee if you leave excessive amounts of food on your plate. For the most part the food is very fresh and regularly filled quickly when empty. The drinks are very good and most are included in the price.
Britt W — Google review
Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I had the all you can eat formula with friends on a Saturday lunch amd we were all really satisfied. The buffet is so wide it will be impossible to try everything. Good selections of seafood/sushi/chinese dishes, exotic meats and desserts
Andrea R — Google review
All you can eat for dinner: They've a lot of options and it's impossible to try them all. They've a live cooking counter where you can choose your own meat, vegetables or sea food and sauce. Usually there is a lot of people waiting for this. Therefore it's better to prepare your plate and give it for cooking as soon as you arrive. Meanwhile you can enjoy the other buffet until your plate arrives. They also have a wide variety of dessert including fruits and chocolate fountain. Soft drinks and coffee are included in the buffet price. Overall a good experience.
Priyanka B — Google review
Great choice of buffet items especially during the full buffet in the evenings. Empty plates and cups are cleaned up somewhat quickly. The happy birthday song being played on full volume through the speakers gets annoying, especially when there are multiple birthday celebrations on one evening, perhaps that can be limited to two birthday celebrations per evening, as a suggestion.
Piotr J — Google review
If you ever had authentic Chinese, Mongolian or Asian food, don't go there. It is very popular but has nothing to do with anything you would find in Asian countries. Food quality is good and its buffet style. Service is just confusing. For alcoholic beverages, you have to go to the bar yourself and pay with a special card you find on your table. All other beverages are free and self serve. Wine is also for free but tastes awful. Crocodile meat, frog legs and Zebra meat were available when I was there. The rest is fried "Chinese" food. Quite pricey for no service and fried food.
Kathrin C — Google review
Ambience is very good. You can try all the asian food with no limits here. Make sure you check the price before you go. At different days the price gets different. Large collection of food you can choose from. Overall the experience was good and also the location is beautiful alongside the A9 highway.

My wife and I just tried to sit down here for a coffee. I sat on a chair at a dedicated table in front of the café. Within a minute, a waiter came out and rudely, aggressively and abruptly told me to 'get out of his way and sit somewhere else' Firstly, why do you place chairs and tables if you don't want people to sit on them? I admit I am on my day off and am wearing jeans and a T-shirt, unshaven with sunglasses. I am aware that unconscious bias can influence behaviours. Nevertheless, this was the rudest waiter I have experienced in 30 years as a business traveller.
Gary T — Google review
Had a quick stop here on our day trip to Bayreuth. Took two iced coffee and soft drinks. We had a nice stay in the center. Besides from the nice ice cream, you pay also for a decent price for the special price in the shopping street. Nevertheless, everything tasted good. For my personal taste the iced coffee was a little too sweet and the juice has too much ice cubes in it - I’d order it next time without. Anyway, nice for having a good ice cream! (Be aware of the special ice sorts - they cost extra ;) )

Unfortunatly not hygienic. I always come to buonissimo for the special pistachio icecream and all the other special ones because they propose original flavors, even thought it's quite pricy. For my first icecream of the year, I wanted to buy a special waffle with chocolate and almond which cost 1,50€ extra, on top of the pistachio icecream that cost 3,50€ per ball, although portion are mostly made big. The lady grabbed the waffle cone with her bare hand, same hand that took money and gave the change... 🤧 I'm pretty sure there used to be a paper on those cones before ? At least, in other icecream places I go at, there is a paper. Anyway, I didn't wanted it after that, and because I speak badly german, she seemed to get impatient at me for not explaining correctly. So it kind of ruined the enjoyment, especially for the price. I love to eat at Buonissimo, but this kind of things make me hesitate to come back. :/

What an absolute dump of a hotel. Nothing like the pictures you see online. No reception desk (only a computer screen) even though we arrived pre 10 pm. Exit the dodgy lifts and you are in complete darkness, until you find a toggle light switch for 10 seconds of light to find your very, very, very disappointing room. Pictures attached (if Google doesn't block them). No idea how this place got a 3 star plus rating, if we could check out now we would, but our car is locked in a car park till 6AM.
Martin M — Google review
Our price for four (quadrouple room) was around €190 per night, which is not cheap. We are pretty disappointed about the room. We will give a bad feedback…. We have 5 rooms (we guess around 20 people) at our floor for one bathroom which shares one wc as well. The bathroom/wc has a transparent window to the city which allows to have an unwanted eye/video recording from outside of the building. We don’t feel that our privacy is granted… Keep away from this hotel… I give 0 (1) star to all in order to help people avoiding this pain…
Peter Z — Google review
The only good thing about this place is it's location close to rhe old town, but 30 min walk to the Wagner Opera House. Half of the rooms face a noisy street just next to a bus stop: you cannot sleep here without earplugs. Service is poor: it took two days (out of 5 nights) of requests till they provided soap and toilet paper. Rooms are large but stink: there is stale old smell no matter how long you keep rhe window open. There is no AC or good ventilation, so it can get really hot on warm summer nights. Breakfasts are ample, but vegetables of very poor quality, barely edible
Sol ( — Google review
I'm giving it 5 stars for the price/value of the place. We needed a place to stay on short notice (our airbnb was suddenly cancelled) and we just looked for the cheapest place and went there. Although some of the reviews were not so great we tried it anyway. The room was extremely clean, bedding clean, towels clean, hot water in the shower no problem. All the basics provided. the breakfast is quite good for a standard hotel continental breakfast and has some nice Greek upgrades (like feta and olives), fresh warm croissants, all you can drink coffee (whatever kind you want) and drinks, really can't ask for more for the very good price. The complaints of fumes in the hallways are baseless as far as I can tell and when we were there the parking garage was full. We even stayed an extra night we were so happy with the room. Its true the parking is not included but we parked just up the street for 2 euro the night the lot was full, so there are other options. The staff is also very nice, especially the gentleman who oversees the breakfast. If I'm back in Bayreuth this is definitely my go to place.
Mimi A — Google review
Outdate room which are not very cozy. But the hotel is very close to the historic center, which is one of the only good things about this hotel. I would skip the breakfast (€5 per person) and eat somewhere else if I would stay here again, which is not likely. The breakfast Is of very poor quality. Don't book with booking(dot)com. There breakfast is already included.
Christoph G — Google review
The hotel is conveniently located. However, it sits on top of a massive public garage with which it shares the lift, which means the corridors are full of exhaust fumes. Paradoxically, there is no parking for guests - the public garage is paying. The hotel has a free wifi, but it was undetectable in our room. The main problem was the owner/director, with whom we had several issues. First of all, we had to pay in advance. This is very unusual in Germany and was both unexpected and stressful, as we had to get a large sum of money to pay for a whole week immediately upon arrival from another country. Second, we were never informed of the times of the breakfast when we arrived. My partner, with our two children, went for breakfast at 9:15 one day, and the owner tried to stop him from accessing breakfast, saying it was only until 9:00 - total unreadiness to accommodate people's needs. But the worst was to come. One of the inner compartments of the wardrobe in the room was broken by one of our children, who sat on it. The wardrobe could easily be repaired by buying a plank of particleboard (ca. 50x50 cm) and screwing it in place of the damaged one. We reported the damage to the cleaning staff, who called the owner. He wanted 100 Euro for this! I would have gladly paid 50 Euro, but 100?! You can get a whole new wardrobe for that price! The owner threatened to involve the university (our host) if we do not pay. I eventually paid what he wanted, but I consider the owner a shameless opportunist who abused us to make extra money. This totally spoilt my impression of this hotel. I did inform the university and was told they had already had problems with the hotel and would not book it again for their guests.
Alena R — Google review
The rooms are spartan but still comfortable. The staff us friendly and the breakfast is good. It can get quite loud sometimes because the hotel is situated at a traffic crossing and on one side there is a bar which closes late. Overall very good.

Hallermühle is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a special banquet there, featuring an exquisite five-course meal crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The pork served was particularly noteworthy, as it came from pigs raised specifically for the restaurant by a friend of the owner. The culinary delights were simply unparalleled!
The owner prepared a special banquet for myself and a few colleagues. 5 courses and simply the best food I've ever eaten. All the food was produced locally, the pigs used to produce the pork were bred and reared specially for the restaurant by the owners friend. Any excuse to go back will be taken although living in the UK will make this harder but not impossible. Already thinking about the food served to us. Wow!!
