Excellent 5 night stay. Breakfast is extensive and dinner in the restaurant has very high quality menu/drinks choices with impeccable service from attentive staff. Thoroughly recommend their venison main dish!!

Staff and (99% elderly) guests came across as a bit racist, sorry to say. We are a mixed race family, and despite several free tables outside, "everything was fully reserved" on a Tuesday night. Seemed like they wanted to keep the old people occupying a majority of the tables outside "happy". Something seemed off, and we didn't feel fully welcome. We had a few drinks, and then decided to have dinner some place else.

Nice hotel in a small German city. We stayed there 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are big and everything is there. Swimming pool was also great to have, unfortunately the sauna was not available. However we got coupon for another place to compensate. Breakfast was really tasty and diverse. Two small bémols, some staff could be a bit more friendly and towels could be exchange every day (for a 4 stars hotel should be standard)

Gorgeous restaurant, a bit hidden and unexpected. I walked plenty of times past it, and was missguided by outside apperance. I really thought its just pizzeria. I loved the selection of sea food and pastas, and pizzas and also steaks. I opted for sea food. I had tuna tartar (delicious) and grilled shrimps with salad. My hubby had pasta with zucini and shrimp tails. Entirior is very lovely, comfortable nice chairs, very busy at the time we came for dinner. The only minus and thats why 4 stars...the prices. I know, you pay for what you eat, but for 1starter and 2mains we paid well over 100€...

We have a dinner in a very nice place, very clean and quiet. The food was nice presented and tasty. The only one think is that the portion are to small and to expensive and I think that it’s is the reason that this restaurant don’t have so many customers. You will understand more from the photos, that lamm rips have us 33€ costed. We enjoy the experience there and the food but after is it hard to think that we are choose again to eat there not because of the food only because of the price and quantity of the portion.

Great place in the middle of the Hartz to enjoy a good time. However the food quality was not on the same level as the prices. I would like to give them another chance because the service was very kind and the environment was also perfect.

An absolutely exquisite dining experience. 100% worth a detour. I enjoyed Scallops and Caviar, as my friend had had the maize chicken over risoto. I can not stress how clean and delicious the food tasted. Our server Ute was extremely charming and pleasant and did not allow our wine glasses to go empty. We are weary travelers, and we will go to sleep with bellies full like kings.

The pizza is some of the best I have had in Germany. What makes this special is the pizza is cooked in a wood burning oven and not in the standard gas oven that most pizzerias in Germany use. The prices are really reasonable and the portion size very generous. While the pizzaria is not a fancy, upmarket establishment, the taste, quality and price really make up for this in areas where it matters

A little take-away (mostly) pizza kitchen but they do make the standard Italian favourites too. They are very popular and busy. We didn't order in advance and had to wait 45minutes for our order. We were given fair warning. Ordering in advance is best. The pizza was worth waiting for- it was beautifully done. Hats off to the drdicsted crew who work like demons to fix dinner.

The pizzas were fresh and warm when we got them and they are cheap! There was a bit too much dough to my taste and apart from the chili on my pizza they were fairly tasteless.

Made reservation two days in advance for a party of 2. When we arrived we were informed they wanted to seat us with another party. When we declined they wanted to seat us inside (it had been 30°C that day) we decided to find food elsewhere. Would be less of an issue had we been informed while booking.

Nice location but food was very disappointing and no where near the standards set by German restaurants we've experienced on many visits. The venison was extremely tough but one of our group was served a dish where the meat was cold and when pointed out to the staff it was taken away in the hope it would be replaced. It did return but unfortunately it had only been heated up which included the sides such as the lettuce and radish! Felt sorry for the waiting staff who had been let down by the kitchen badly. We were offered 5 euros off the bill!

Absolutely stunning location, high on top of the mountain. Witnessing the ocean of fog in the valleys and northern plains from up above is really something special. However, the Hotel is not matching the scenic nature, sadly. Rooms are really expensive for what they offer (paid over 200€ as a couple for one night). The rooms were tidy, but a bit worn out. The breakfast would have benefitted from overall larger quantities, and nore generous opening times for the bar would be nice (was closed by 8). And then there is a slight problem with "Bad" Harzburg: it is just not a nice location. The city itself is really ugly. Verdict: OK, but not worth the price.

As starters we tasted Mutabbal & Syrian bread and the Fatush salad: delicious. Our entrees were Lachme bil fachara, and Kibbeh labanieh, also great authentic flavours. Portions are not very large, we recommend two courses (like we did) if you're hungry. Fully recommended! Try this great Syrian taste!

Recommended! 4.5/5 in inofficial score. My wife and I went here for dinner tonight, together with our son who's just over one and a half years. We were treated very well, the staff was very hospitable and welcoming, and the food was truly excellent. If I lived in the town, this would likely be one of my go-to places. There are some things to note, though, which I'll list below. The waitress was very helpful with our son; for example, she brought him books and a toy to play with while we waited. Service was definitely friendlier than many other places I've been to. For food we had the Ouzi and Kibbeh labanieh (on the pictures, ouzi are the dough parcels and kibbeh labanieh are kibbeh cooked in a yoghurt sauce). I have had kibbeh before, but not prepared like this and not with the same seasoning, and often too dry which these were very much not. The ouzi were quite different from many other things I've had - a thin filo pastry filled with rice, vegetables and meat. Perhaps not quite unlike a samosa in that regard, but with rice instead of potatoes. Both dishes were seasoned very delicately and everything was very balanced, the flavors were not as strong as you might find in some other cuisines from the Middle east and central asia. The spice combinations were also not what we expected and were quite different from other things we've had. Do not expect it to be just like Lebanese, although some of the dishes of the menu (e.g., hummus and baba ghanoush) will be shared with that cuisine (which I'm using as an example since it's quite common and popular in northern Europe). It was all prepared in a nice, homey manner. For dessert, we had their ice cream roll with roasted pistachios and rose syrup. All in all very happy with our dishes, very delicious. However, two things to note. One thing is that they don't have a lot of tables, so I would strongly suggest booking. We tried getting food to go the day before because the website said it was possible, but it wasn't. Might have been because of the off-season visit or my poor German, who knows. Second thing is that although the food is very tasty, the dishes are on the smaller side. I would definitely suggest adding a side of tabbouleh or having a starter if you eat roughly as an average male. I'd had too much for lunch, so it ended up being a very good amount today, but a regular day I'd have been hungry after just one course. One could always order a starter after the main course too if it's not enough, I don't see why not. These two last things are not enough to subtract a full star, maybe a half so the score would be 4.5.

Nice service and a thumb up for vegan/vegetarian options. The tastiest part of my meal was the salad and the briosch bun in which I got the burger. The patty (camembert and vegan) were not so awesome, sauces also weren't that great. Make sure you try the salad with bread chips, it's very good.
