Best Regards Bakery & Cafe, located at 119th Street and Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park, is a family-owned establishment that has been serving up delectable treats for over 20 years. Specializing in cookies, chocolates, desserts, and bistro sandwiches, this gem is well-known for its sweet offerings like lemon bars and cherry danishes. The cafe also offers a lunch menu featuring dishes such as blackened salmon, Caesar salad, and the perfect grilled cheese.
Found a place which helps with classic grilled cheese sandwich cravings. Grilled to perfection, cripsy on top, cheese completely melted through. Tomato soup was delicious.

We stopped in for breakfast over the weekend. There were plenty of seats inside and outside. We ordered at the counter and our meal was brought to the table. Coffee was self-service. My wife had a breakfast sandwich and I had a half order of B&G with an over easy egg. We ordered some pastries to go. I'm glad I didn't get a full order. The biscuit was much bigger in person than they appeared in photos. Overall we enjoyed our entrees. I would have enjoyed mine a bit more if the towering biscuit was split before the gravy was added. The gravy was pepper forward and thick with large chunks of sausage. In a rare moment for me, I felt like my entree could have used more seasoning. Overall we enjoyed the pastries. The pillow of frosting on the cinnamon roll was a unique touch.

The food is very good! My favorites are the broccoli and cheese soup and ceasar salad. The burger setup they have now outside is what pushed this from 4 stars to 5. So so good. The inside sitting area can feel a little crowded at times but there is outside seating too. I love their creative sugar cookies too.

Great little spot! We have been searching for our new local bakery since moving five years ago and found it here! Great fresh food including sandwiches, salads, desserts, and other baked goods. Staff is super friendly and helpful, even in a rush. Cute and cozy inside with seasonal decor.
Sarah J — Google review
Turkey club was great. The thin slices of white bread were perfectly lightly toasted, bacon perfectly crisp, and the oven roasted turkey juicy. I love how they individually seal-wrap their cookies. The chocolate chip cookie was pretty good, but it was overloaded with chocolate chips, which made it too sweet for me. The apple pie cookie and oatmeal toffee were just the right amount of sweetness and were delicious. The cookies are thick, tender, and cakey on the cookie texture scale. I agree with a few reviews that the prices are on the high side, but I don't mind occasionally spending more at local businesses. I'll certainly be back to try other items.

Best Regards Bakery & Cafe is seriously good. My mom, who lives in Kansas City, recommended it, and I stopped by while visiting for the summer. The second you walk in, it smells amazing — warm cinnamon, fresh bread, all the right things. We had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and they were fantastic. The cinnamon rolls are a must and you can easily freeze them and reheat at home. We took home a key lime tart and more cinnamon rolls, and my mom swears their chocolate layer cake tastes just like her mom’s recipe. The best thing I had was the biscuits. Soft, buttery, and perfect. Prices were totally reasonable and I’d definitely go back. Big shout out to the staff here too, especially the guy behind the counter. He was super friendly and helpful, and just made the whole experience even better. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the customer bathroom is clean.

I had the pleasure of visiting Best Regards Bakery in Overland Park this morning, and it was an incredible experience. The breakfast burritos were absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked eggs, flavorful sausage, and just the right amount of spice. I also tried a few breakfast pastries, which were equally amazing. But it wasn't just the food that impressed me - the atmosphere was fantastic as well. Best Regards Bakery has a great vibe for a morning get-together with friends, or for knocking out some quick work emails. I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out for yourself!
Brad M — Google review
I don't care how amazing the food is. If I come in and I'm treated badly I am not going to spend my money at that place. The rudeness was actually from the owner himself. When his partner, his wife was made privy to his rude and disrespectful behavior absolutely nothing was done. Not sure how they managed to stay open with such terrible customer service. Never going back, ever.

André's Chocolates Kansas City is a family-owned business that offers a delightful selection of holiday sweets, making it an ideal destination for picking up treats for the whole family. In addition to their renowned chocolates, they also serve cheese and chocolate fondue, perfect for holiday gatherings. Visitors can enjoy a delicious lunch with friends and indulge in delectable desserts and candies from their beautifully displayed cases.
Service, food, and desserts were amazing. We were promptly and happily greeted and informed we could sit wherever we'd like. The homemade chicken salad sandwich was delicious. My dad said his croissant reminded him of visiting my brother in France. The lemon tart was so good I decided to save half for my birthday in a few days. I also got the candied ginger as a workday snack and am happy with subtle kick but strong ginger flavor. Would recommend to any and everyone!
Sharnée H — Google review
I enjoyed the savory dishes here—everything I tried on that side of the menu was solid, flavorful, and well-executed. The vibe is nice, the space feels welcoming, and the service was attentive throughout the visit. However, for a place that’s known for specializing in desserts, I found that part of the experience surprisingly lackluster. The dessert options felt very underwhelming—nothing stood out, and the flavors were quite mediocre. I had higher expectations given the concept, but unfortunately, the sweets just didn’t deliver. It’s a decent spot, but if you’re coming specifically for a dessert-forward experience, it might not live up to the hype.

A Culinary Gem with Outstanding Coffee and Desserts! Andre's is an absolute delight! From the moment you step in, you'll be greeted by the friendliest staff who truly go above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. Annie was fabulous in her service. The service is simply excellent, attentive without being intrusive, creating a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food – it's all delicious! Every dish I've tried has been prepared with care and bursts with flavor. But the true stars for me were the cappuccino and the chocolate ganache. The cappuccino was perfectly frothed, rich, and robust – easily one of the best I've had. And the chocolate ganache? Pure decadence! Smooth, intensely chocolatey, and just the right level of sweetness, it's an absolute must-try for any dessert lover. Andre's is more than just a meal; it's an experience. Whether you're looking for a fantastic coffee, an exquisite dessert, or a thoroughly delicious meal, coupled with wonderful service, this is the place to be. Highly, highly recommend!

Popped in to assist a friend with some phone issues while they were there eating lunch. While my focus was not on eating, the food looked well prepared and spoken highly of by those eating. Did partake in a vanilla latte. Found it to be simply delightful. Their core business appears to be chocolate and based upon what I saw and heard, they have that dialed in. Well worth popping in and checking out

I honestly don’t remember the names of each item, but I can tell you every one was fresh and delicious. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

A Kansas City treasure! For years, I've enjoyed the lunches and pastries at both locations and it's always a special occasion, even when it isn't. Recently, I took a behind the scenes tour, and it was fascinating. Family stories, recounting innovations since the 1950"s to stay current in the culinary world while maintaining quality and tradition, all made for an engaging time. Each item is prepared with care and quality ingredients resulting in your taste buds celebrating the craftsmanship of the family-owned business. Stop in and enjoy!

The waitress was so friendly and went above and beyond to help us out and make our experience fantastic. Every single thing we ate was magnificent. We particularly liked the stuffed tomato and the squash salad. The Matterhorn dessert was very rich, but delicious as well. Even the pretzel bread, ham, and butter sandwich was tasty. We also enjoyed the decorations and seating options. I can't wait to go back!

Very elegant chocolatier close to downtown. They have varieties of many foods and cakes/pies, single slice or whole. Also had a great Fall latte to go with it. It is expensive but was worth it.

Nestled in the heart of Kansas City, McLain's Bakery has been a beloved institution since its inception in 1945. Originally starting as a quaint bakery in Waldo, it has expanded to several locations including Shawnee, Overland Park, and Lawrence. The McLain family established a rich legacy known for their signature Cup Cookies and other delightful treats that have kept customers coming back for decades.
Such a great spot for breakfast, lunch, dessert, or coffee!! I had a fantastic experience at McLain’s. The interior is beautiful and spacious. As a first-timer, all my questions were answered, and the service was excellent. The Iowa Street Club was a great classic, I loved the croissant and the fries. For a sweet treat I got a cheese danish and it was absolutely delicious—not at all dry like some other danishes I’ve had! To top it off, I was given two free little cookies since it was my first time there, such a nice gesture. Parking was a bit challenging and I wish they were open longer hours, but overall, I’d happily come back!

Visited around 3:30pm on a Saturday for a quick pastry fix. They were only taking takeaway orders at that time but they had a buy 1 get 1 promotion on pastries. I got the cinnamon roll and lemon poppy seed muffin. I would come back for the cinnamon roll - the dough was soft and moist, and altogether not too sweet just they way I like it.
Earl G — Google review
Love this spot. They do great breakfast snacks, I usually order the homemade biscuits and gravy and they are so fluffy and yummy and the white gravy isn’t too salty or peppery which I like. The breakfast burrito is a good size and well balanced. The avocado toast is a fave although it is an avocado blend spread rather than fresh plan avocados. The salmon toast is also a fave, the capers are sort of dried and crunchy (but still caper flavor) the coffee comes separately to your food you have to get up and get that but it’s a lovely space to sit and eat and there is an outside spot for you to bring your dogs or just enjoy the sunshine. There is also an outside window to order your food/coffee as no dogs are allowed inside - even just to order. Love this spot.

McLain's made our personal cake for our wedding. We were able to get a take home box of 6-8 different flavors of cake and icing for taste testing. We ultimately went with chocolate cake and espresso buttercream which was amazing. We ended up serving it to our head table and everyone loved it! Very friendly staff and able to answer any questions/concerns we had. Highly recommend McLain's!
Anna H — Google review
I've visited this McLain’s several times and also tried the Overland Park location. Their croissants and danishes have always impressed me. The ambiance at the E Gregory Blvd location is fantastic, with an extensive selection of pastries. Unfortunately, I couldn’t indulge in any this morning. I ordered an iced latte and avocado toast, both of which were delicious. The staff here are incredibly friendly, and the service is swift. The outdoor patio seating is also very comfortable.
Sathish N — Google review
Went for a last minute birthday brunch. It was quite busy but there were plenty of places to sit. We were surprised by how fast we were served. The quiche was delicious, so was the cheese Danish. We ordered a small cake to take home, it was moist and perfect. I was helped by a young man, I forget his name. He was very patient and helpful. Even gave me good suggestions for what to put on cake. We'll definitely be back. There are a lot of other things that looked crazy good
Patrick C — Google review
I had lunch here today. The chicken salad sandwich changed my life. It was a more unique chicken salad with more add-ins than usual, but in this case, it was a delight. I also got the pasta salad. It wasn't what I expected, but it was good. It was Italian Grindr-inspired and thus oil-based, not mayo. The chocolate chip cookie is never a miss.
John P — Google review
McLain’s Bakery is a true gem! I visit every time I’m back home in KC. They have great coffee cakes and hot breakfast items. We recently tried their cake bites, blueberry muffin, royal icing cookie, and blueberry crumble bar, and each treat was delicious. The cake bites were moist and rich, with just the right amount of sweetness. The blueberry muffin had a perfect balance of a tender crumb and slightly crunchy top. It could have used more blueberries throughout though. The royal icing cookie was a delightful mix of soft cookie and perfectly sweet icing, and the blueberry crumble bar was simply heavenly, with a buttery crumble that melted in my mouth. Every bite was a treat, and we can’t wait to go back for more! Highly recommend!

Love this place! Super cute and mellow atmosphere even though it was pretty busy. Super friendly service and our food and coffee both tasted great!

Cinnamon rolls are the best thing ever made in house! Original McClain’s is in a hundred years old building in Waldo Area. It’s the best McClain’s. The original founder sold out and apparently franchised other locations. Some reason the franchise atmosphere is decorated in an old gas station and / or garage. Who wants to go to lunch in a garage? Apparently a bunch of people! It’s really loud in the “garage “. Great for people with babies or kids. You won’t hear any crying. Breakfast is over priced and tastes-less. I tried the “Girls breakfast” , said had a little bit of everything. Avocado toast had some kind of dry mix with a few chunks of avocado toast. Toast was good. Sausage mediocre at best. The cakes and one other cookie is excellent , white sugar cookies with fondant icing.
C — Google review
This place is so stinking cute! I was craving a coffee and I was so happy I chose this place. I went closer to closing times so they didn’t have a lot of stuff, but I was able to get a couple of cupcakes which were delicious couple of cookies which were scrumptious and a cappuccino. The staff was also really nice and helpful. They also have a cute little market, so I grabbed a few things to give friends. I’m really happy that I stopped by here. PS - we need something like this in Tulsa!!
Sarah D — Google review
While I enjoy this place I’m constantly disappointed. The fried egg sandwich is supposed to come with avocado and half the time they don’t put it on. I’d recommend checking your order before you leave.
Maddie H — Google review
I would reccomend the California Quesidillas. I had a spiritual experience with these. Its the perfect blend of crispy, cheesy, savory, and sweet flavors. However, be warned that this is definitely a two person kind of appetizer. I could barely finish half of it!
Kyla O — Google review
Always an amazing experience for us, but this time they went above and beyond upon sharing that we were there with friends to celebrate our engagement and they gifted us cookies for our table. McLain’s is already a favorite, but they just sealed the deal this Sunday. Love you guys.
KCM S — Google review
The Smoked Salmon Toast was amazing, not overly salty like you expect from smoked salmon. The cream cheese was light, and I liked the red onions and black finishing salt as garnishes. It wasn’t very filling, though. The Farm Sandwich and Pepper Jacket Burrito were more filling but unremarkable. The Fried Egg Sandwich had good sourdough with a runny egg and cheese. The Biscuit and Gravy had a soft biscuit and tasty sauce. The Berry Iced Tea was refreshing.
Johnson — Google review
Came in the afternoon and the bakery was pretty picked over which is understandable based on how delicious the cookie I got was. However, I still wish there had been more options. My main meal was ok, but my company loved their dish.

We were in the area and stopped by this amazing little bakery yesterday for an afternoon treat. We all chose something different and every bite was amazing! We will definitely have to make the trip back sometime soon to try all the other delicious looking pastries!

Really, really, great bakery! It’s definitely worth a stop! …and the coffee was really great too! So good! First timers: 1. Get there 2. Grab a tray and tongs 3. Fill up tray with the delights you want to try 4. Take tray to counter and check out. You can eat there, and they will wrap the rest up for you, or just get it all to go! My goodness I love this place!

This place is an absolute gem. I would drive absolute back to Missouri just to eat here. The croissants are so flaky and baked to perfection. There is also options of things that you’ve probably never tried, which is so much fun but it’s all delicious. Everything is absolutely delicious.
Rebekah A — Google review
This is our second visit, and we’ve continued exploring the different pastries and baked goods they offer. The atmosphere is fantastic, and what really stands out is the value—most of the items are priced very reasonably, with the calorie count included as well. It’s honestly one of the main reasons we keep coming back so often.
Josh B — Google review
The variety is seriously impressive with rows of sweet and savory pastries, fluffy breads, beautiful cakes, and great coffee to go with it. You walk in and instantly get hit with that warm bakery smell. It does get crowded, especially mid-morning on weekends, so be ready to wait a bit. But the staff is fast and friendly, and the displays are constantly restocked. Seating is limited and not exactly quiet, so I wouldn’t plan to work here, but it’s perfect for a quick snack or meeting a friend. Must try the Portuguese tart.
Gaurav J — Google review
This is hands down my favorite pastry shop in town! Everything is super fresh and top quality. The pastries are unbeatable—honestly, the best you’ll find in Overland Park. The vibe is really nice, too, perfect for grabbing a coffee and catching up with friends.
ROSA C — Google review
Loved this place so much I go maybe 3 times a week or more. There’s a really nice lady that I can’t remember her name that makes my day every time I go. Beautiful and really tasty pastries. 10/10 if you live in the Overland Park area this is something you should try
Jo-Annie E — Google review
I really liked it, some things were a little dry. Me and my friends came around 6 o’clock and the two cashiers at the front were kind of rude and stand offish. I really liked the ham and cheese sandwich, had really good bread! It’s a cute place too, and I love that it’s super simple to grab your own things! Had we came earlier in the day I’m sure it would’ve been better pastry choices and maybe different and nicer staff. I wouldn’t recommend the smoothies, super plain/no flavor.

One of my favorite spots in KC. My husband and I have to make a point not to come here every weekend for breakfast. The staff is super friendly, the pastries are delicious and I’ve never been disappointed with any meal I’ve ever gotten here. It’s very family friendly and an easy place to bring a baby or kid. I always bring out of town visitors here - you really cannot go wrong. They also have a lot of vegetarian friendly options.

I would highly recommend checking this place out. A small menu with a good variety of choices. Had the mushroom toast and hibiscus limeade tea. One of the best mushroom dishes I have ever eaten, the tea was flavorful and refreshing. Honey oats desert was fire, bought four to take home. Staff was awesome.

I've been coming here since 2020, and the food, people, and atmosphere make it one of my favorite spots to grab breakfast, lunch, or a coffee in Kansas City. Their biscuits and gravy are fantastic, and they always have a nice assortment of pastries to pick from as well. We always make sure to suggest this place to anyone coming in from out of town, and we are so lucky it's in the neighborhood.

LaMar's Donuts and Coffee is a popular spot in Overland Park, Kansas, known for its wide selection of over 70 rotating donut flavors, including donut holes and fritters. The friendly staff are always ready to help you choose from their traditional and specialty donuts. Despite the small parking area, many visitors make the effort to drive past other well-known chains just to savor the delicious offerings at LaMar's.
I feel like my donuts were old. Please look at the donuts in the pictures and look at what was given to me. I have never seen Lamar's donuts look like this. The cinnamon roll and twist were ridiculously over glazed. My son 8 who is all about Lamar's spit out his donut and gave back. These tasted way off. I asked for chocolate iced donuts (pointed at them too) like i aways do, and got chocolate donuts with glaze on them. I wanted a regular dount with chocolate icing on them. I paid $23 for 6 donuts. Horribly overpriced. I get 2 dozen in liberty for this price. I will NEVER go back to this location. Not Lamar's more like LaMikes.
Staci H — Google review
Donuts were ok, but they charged me $21 for 6 donuts! Never going here again. Do yourself a favor and go to Fluffy Fresh down the street. Better donuts and 1/3 the cost. It’s telling that there was no line at Lamar’s but fluffy fresh constantly has a line out the door.
Jarrod E — Google review
Went and the donuts weren’t that good. They needed more flavor to it and the price is high for a donut that hasn’t have a lot of flavor. And secondly the worker looked very lazy, she was talking on her cellphone infront of customers. Doesn’t greet you just say what ya want like how rude show some respect . It was on July 4th at 7;45am and the lady was black with braids
B4dree1124 — Google review
This is getting out of hand. Maybe the stores are struggling and charging so much just to stay in business. I don’t think that will last long. The donuts pictured and a strawberry milk cost $28. I saw a 1* review from two years ago where they were upset about six donuts costing $14. On top of the price, the donuts just don’t taste like they used to at Lamar’s. Hanna’s Donuts isn’t too far and they have WAY better donuts and they are half the price. If you want the best donuts, drive to Yummy’s Donuts in KC, MO.

We tried Lamar's this morning for the first time. The donuts were delicious, but the lady behind the counter was fairly unpleasant and there was nowhere to sit and eat. We paid $17 for four donuts, which seems really high to us. We probably won't be back, though the donuts were great.

$8.54 for 2 (average) donuts is wild. $3 for a glazed donut. Had I not been with my excited son, I certainly would have said ‘no thank you’ upon hearing the total. Happy to support local businesses and understand food costs are high, but that’s just gouging. Will not be back after decades of patronage.

What’s the deal with the boxes here? Went in yesterday morning (July 5, 2025) and the customer service tanked as soon as I said I preferred a box for the 6 donuts I planned to get. Mind you, I was getting 3 larger donuts (cinnamon roll, Long John, and apple fritter among others) so I don’t even know how they would fit in a bag. The employee seemed so disgruntled about using a box I told her if she wanted to use a couple bags she could. The response: “Well, the box is already deformed now, so….😒”. Are the boxes coming out of their paychecks?! Also, $30 for the 6 donuts! I about just told her to put them back. It didn’t feel good paying that price for that kind of service. I’ll be going back to my usual donut/ice cream shop next time. Lesson learned.

$43.00 with tax for a dozen donuts. Seriously? I can hardly imagine anyone would buy this—insane price gouging. The people that work for Lamars in Mission, KS, are always very nice tho! They don't set prices :-) I'll not be back.

Dolce Bakery, located in Prairie Village, Kansas, is a woman-owned bakery known for its scratch-made breakfast pastries, cakes, cookies, and other treats. The bakery takes pride in using pure ingredients and creating artistic and whimsical baked goods. With several awards from The Knot and glowing customer reviews, it's a popular spot for those seeking delicious desserts. Owner and pastry chef Erin Brown's warm smile adds to the welcoming atmosphere of the rustic-chic setting.
I am delighted to share our experience with Dolce Bakery! Everything we received was absolutely delicious. We opted for a two-tiered cookie cake with peanut butter frosting, which was a showstopper and quickly became a favorite among our guests. In addition to the cookie cake, we had a dessert bar filled with an assortment of treats, including cookies, cupcakes, oatmeal cream pies, and more. Each item was crafted to perfection, and everyone absolutely loved them! The quality and taste of the desserts exceeded our expectations, making our celebration even sweeter. I highly recommend Dolce Bakery to anyone looking for delightful and delectable desserts for their special occasion. Thank you for contributing to our memorable day with your amazing creations!

We had an americano, lemon cupcake and a red velvet cupcake! A little too much frosting, but the cake was moist and really good not overly sweet and the coffee was really good. We wanted to try the sand which cookies but they only had 1 flavor.. that was one thing that could be improved. More flavor options.

Dolce Bakery impressed me from the start. The pumpkin whoopie pies were incredible with the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. The brownies were some of the best I have had with a rich chocolate flavor and a soft chewy texture. The Chiefs cookies were a hit with their fun design and they tasted just as good as they looked. The staff was kind and made the experience easy and welcoming. The bakery itself is bright cheerful and filled with treats that make it hard to choose. This is the kind of place that makes an ordinary day feel like a celebration. I will definitely be coming back for more.

A great place to get your sweet tooth fix. This an abundance of cookie cutouts you can enjoy. My trip was for the cupcakes, especially the mini ones. The minis is just the right size to pop into your mouth and not feel like you’re cheating on your diet. Cupcakes tasted wonderful and more importantly they weren’t dry. Lemon cake was just as good

Another excellent bakery churning out some of the best pastries in town. On my way home this morning after dropping off the princess who won't drive in the snow. The truth is I won't let her! I haven't been here in a long time and I'm happy I stopped in this morning since the orange roll I chose was indeed excellent. Be prepared to pay top dollar for a high end product in a high rent neighborhood.

I ordered the pink baby cookies for my friend when I hosted her baby shower. They are a HUGE hit at the party and were so so pretty. They were cute and pretty, which can be hard to find. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

We recently used Dolce for cookies and cake for a going away party on what I was afraid was short notice...I brought in a Pinterest photo of moving-themed cookies and Dolce outdid them by FAR!! SO CUTE! Almost too cute --they were as delicious as they were cute, but we all hated to bite into them bc they were so adorable! The cake was wonderful as well...a slight miscommunication about the top of cake - but Dolce discounted a bit and it was still beautiful and delicious!!

Kate Smith Soirée is a wedding dessert bakery located in Lenexa, Kansas. They specialize in creating unique dessert displays that are guaranteed to impress couples and their guests. The company offers customized and curated packages tailored to each couple's preferences. Customers have praised Kate for her attention to detail and the stunning cake atop the macaroon tower at their event. Guests were impressed by the desserts, particularly the whiskey ganache brownies.
Kate of Kate Smith Soirée absolutely nailed the desserts at my wedding! We knew we wanted a fun, memorable dessert bar instead of a traditional setup, and she totally understood the assignment. Everything looked incredible, tasted even better, and somehow struck that perfect balance of playful and elevated. Our guests were obsessed, people are still bringing up the cookies and bars weeks later. One guest even brought brownies home to Georgia and was still raving about them days later! One of the best parts of working with Kate was getting to do a tasting beforehand, such a fun (and delicious) perk. It made us even more excited for the big day, and helped us feel confident we were in the right hands. And the fact that she delivers and sets everything up? Incredible. It took so much pressure off, and everything looked stunning when we walked into the space. From the start, Kate was so warm, thoughtful, and easy to work with. She was open to our ideas, offered helpful suggestions, and handled every detail with so much care. It never once felt stressful, she made the whole process feel fun and seamless, even with our budget and timeline. We’re already looking for excuses to order from her again & planning another visit to her shop in Overland Park. If you’re looking for someone who’s creative, kind, and makes a variety of desserts people will actually remember, Kate is it. So grateful we got to work with her!

I can't recommend Kate Smith Soiree enough. Kate and her entire time are fantastic. We asked her to create a variety of different desserts for our wedding including our cake, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. From our first meeting, to our tasting, and the day of, she made the whole process so easy and fun. When our venue said certain desserts needed to be made in house, Kate easily updated our invoice for us and best of all, she even surprised me with the macarons from our original order on the day - personally packaged for us to take home and enjoy. She goes above and beyond in everything she does, and she has customers for life in us. Our guests are still talking about how good everything was!

I booked Kate Smith for my wedding desserts and they were SO delicious. We opted for a small cake and cake pops and they were a hit! We chose white velvet, Dutch chocolate, and fresh strawberry cake pops along with biscoff cookie butter flavor cake. WOW I am still drooling over them. I saw some of my guests walking out with handfuls of cake pops. If you are considering booking Kate Smith for your wedding - just do it. Not only are the desserts delicious but Kate was awesome to work with. Very organized and communicative.

Kate Soiree was so easy to work with and made our wedding day special. We got to try macarons and cakes prior to our wedding day, and it was easy for us to pick them up on our own time! While working with them was easy, their desserts were the best! They were beautiful and delicious! Since we have had their macarons, we can not get enough of them and keep going back all the time just for a nice treat.

We had the pleasure of working with Kate Smith for our wedding, and they created the most beautiful macaron tower for our dessert table. The process was incredibly simple. I chose the size, colors, and flavors, and Kate made it all come to life. I had seen photos of their towers before the wedding and knew it would add such a fun and elegant touch to our celebration. We also have several gluten free friends and family members, so having GF options was really important to us. Kate made that easy, and the macarons were not only stunning but tasted incredible. One of my favorite memories is going back to our suite after the wedding and enjoying the leftovers with my husband. It was such a sweet moment. We would absolutely recommend Kate Smith to everyone. Thank you for being so wonderful to work with!

We hired Kate Smith Soirée for our wedding on 8/9/25 and she was amazing! She catered our rehearsal dinner and also did the dessert table for our reception, and everything was perfect. The process was super smooth and stress-free, which we really appreciated during such a busy time. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the desserts – the mini cupcakes, cake pops, cookie bars, and more were a huge hit. Everything looked beautiful and tasted even better! Kate was wonderful to work with from start to finish, and we’re so grateful for how she helped make our wedding so special. Highly recommend her for any event!

The Cheesecake Factory is a renowned upscale restaurant chain known for its extensive menu, including over 30 flavors of cheesecake. Despite the popularity, some visitors have experienced long wait times and crowded locations. However, many patrons praise the diverse food options beyond just cheesecake and commend the attentive service provided by friendly staff members. Overall, it's described as a bustling yet enjoyable dining experience with good food and courteous service.
Walking into The Cheesecake Factory Express feels like stepping into a palace. The facility is massive—spacious and immaculately decorated with ornate details that make you feel like royalty from the moment you enter. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed to create a luxurious, welcoming atmosphere. What truly sets this location apart, though, is the staff. From the moment I walked in, even before I sat down, multiple team members approached me with warm smiles, asking if there was anything they could assist with or bring me. Their attentiveness is next level—genuine, polite, and professional without being overbearing. I was there to pick up a DoorDash order, but they still treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy. They even allowed me to walk around and take photos of the space for a Google review, which shows how proud they are of their beautiful facility—and rightfully so. It’s rare to find this kind of service, especially as a delivery driver. The Cheesecake Factory Express made me feel not just welcome, but appreciated. Highly recommend this location whether you're dining in or just stopping by. They’ve set a gold standard for hospitality. Let me know if you’d like a shorter version or one tailored for a specific platform!

Decided to go and have lunch after a homegoing celebration for a neighbor and friend.my husband and I were pleasantly greeted upon entering the restaurant. We had an amazing waiter who was very patient and attentive. The food was delicious, although my mashed potatoes could have been a little more warmer. Nonetheless, the meal wasn't bad. The best part for me is the celebration cheesecake, which was disappointing this time.It did not taste the same. It had a whole lotta cream cheese and a really thin line of cake and sugar-free vibe (yuk).

My first time ever visiting The Cheesecake factory I made reservations for 7pm. We arrived 10 minutes early & were seated immediately. Our waiter was fantastic, knowledgeable, & friendly. I gave food 4 stars, I ordered the fish & chips the fish was fried a little too hard, the fries were good, I didn't care for the coleslaw. My Husband ordered the jambalaya, it looked good & he stated it was good. I have never had jambalaya with noodles or pasta in it. We ordered tiramisu cheesecake which was really good, the fudge sundae was good too. The peanut butter cheesecake was rich & thick my Husband like it, I didn't like the peanut butter cheesecake. I recommend this establishment, I am going back to try all the cheesecakes.

Dinner with the family Saturday night. Reservations were made prior to arrival and we were seated promptly. The server was personable and tired his best to keep up as the host staff clearly put him in the "weeds". My only complaint anout him was he "up" sold my wine without my permission. Food was very good. I recommend this place when you want a special evening.

Had a great birthday lunch for the the son big 25! Service was excellent. And food was excellent. Only minor complaint was wife plate portion on her steak medallions was not the usual larger CF portion - was the skinny option, but was bigger last visit. Of course the Cheesecake was the best.
J F — Google review
Great food! Service was okay but only worth 2 stars. Waited a long time for a table so was very thirsty by the time we were seated. Service staff was not very attentive. Sorry Cheesecake Factory. The Shepherd's Pie was amazing, the Jambalaya had the right amount of spice and worthy of taking home. Would have been great to have more than one glass of iced tea with our dinner. Got cheesecake to go and it was also very yummy.

Highly recommend making a reservation. We showed up for our reservation time and only had to wait about 10 minutes. Others looked like they had been waiting a long time and gave us dirty looks for being seated before them 🤣 The bathroom, I am guessing (or hoping it’s not normal) had some issues and smelled really bad of sewage. Made me want to puke! The waiter was awesome and kind answering all our questions. I got the skinny steak medallions and wish that same option was available in a larger portion. Yes, I realize there are steak medallion options on the larger portions, but I didn’t like the things any of those came with. I was still a little hungry when done. Might not have been had we eaten the cheesecake there because they are HUGE slices. But after waiting for over 30 mins to get them, we finally got tired of sitting there and asked him to have them to go when they did finally get around to sending them to us. The waiter again, was very sweet and kept apologizing for the wait on the cheesecake. And honestly, I still find it odd we had to wait so long considering they are already cut in the case. How long does it really take to pull 3 slices out and put them on a plate???? And it wasn’t because of our waiter. He checked many times to see if they were ready. Also, I went for my birthday. They were told when making the reservation and said HBD when we checked in at the stand, but it would be nice to have some sort of special celebration of sorts like they do at almost every restaurant for someone’s bday. This was my first experience and I will definitely go back.

The Wooden Spoon is a cozy American eatery that initially started as a catering company and later expanded into a welcoming brick-and-mortar shop. Customers praise the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the owner, Tina, who treats everyone like family. First time trying this place. It's kind of small but cozy. Service was a little slow but they were working hard. I had to ask a couple of times for a coffee refill. Food was very good but the portions are pretty small except the pancakes. A young boy next to us got the full stack chocolate chip pancakes. He was in shock. I got the breakfast burrito meal. Came with a small burrito cut in half and a small portion of hash browns. It was delicious. We also got a cinnamon roll. It tasted like orange frosting but was tasty. My wife enjoyed her omelette. My daughter liked her French toast but not the eggs. Overall enjoyed our visit. I definitely would return.

Biscuits and gravy were good, but need more sausage in the gravy. Biscuits themselves were great. Eggs cooked nicely with no scorching! Bacon was awesome. Wife had the pancakes stuffed with eggs and bacon … pretty good. Service was excellent. Small place, we had to sit by the door and it was chilly.

*ETA* since it wont let me respond to the manager- 1.) we ended up ordering chocolate milk, because the restaurant didn't have the "powder" for hot cocoa. That is my point. You can be out of it but clearly its just a powder and not actual hot coca. We ordered chcocolate milk. We didnt "save money" 2.) I dont leave negative reviews unless it's a mold infested hotel or restaurant with not good food. You can scroll and see my boastful reviews of amazing reaturants in the area. 3.) A nice thing would have been to say "man im sorry we didnt met your expectations" vs. Trying to justify the fake chemical tasting food. 4.) Im aware how soft local scrambled eggs taste. I eat them daily. This was nasty wet soggy no flavored scrambled eggs. 5.) Funny how the restaurant didn't even mention the chemical tasting red dye fake raspberry syrup drizzle. No idea how this place is highly recommended. The food was literally inedible. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes-which are supposed to be their specialty. The raspberry drizzle is a fake raspberry and so chemical tasting its inedible. You know the cupcakes that have so much food dye you can taste it? That's what the "raspberry" drizzle tasted like. Red food dye. There was no lemon other than some zest on top. The pancakes were dense - not light and fluffy. I mean. Literally i ate two bites and couldn't eat any more it tasted so chemical. You couldnt eat the scrambled eggs & hashbrowns either. It was a fake butter and soupy. (You can see in the picture). I love butter and these tasted AWFUL. We ordered a breakfast quesadilla too. Zero flavor. We tried to order hot cocoa and they "didnt have any"?? So they use packets and not real cocoa? How can you not make hot cocoa? The server was kind and offered to remake the food, but after gross bites we didn't want to eat anymore. She discounted our meal, which was nice. Server was kind & restaurant was empty.

Great place, great service. The nice lady got my eggs wrong - I asked for scrambled and she gave me over medium - but I'm honestly grateful because she tossed in some free hashbrowns and they were probably the best hashbrowns I've ever had, and mixing with the egg yolk made them even better. The toast was pretty great as well. They don't have white so I ordered wheat even tho I don't really like wheat, but it was surprisingly delicious. Coffee's not bad, just regular diner coffee. Tables looked alright and clean, mostly small for a more casual atmosphere for singles, pairs, 3-4. Kitchen is open to diners' view; I personally don't care about that but I know there's a niche that likes being able to see where their food is prepared. Only issue I had was the toilet wasn't clean. Rest of the bathroom looked very clean though, sink looks new and fashionable and they have an automated paper towel dispenser that works fine. There's even a fancy wooden changing table in there for people with babies. I guess maybe someone had just used the toilet right before me and I just got bad luck of the draw. Place is super great, I'd love to have hangover food from here as a regular if I didn't live an hour and a half away.

Stellar local gem. We ate here twice in one weekend upon discovering.. The staff busts their buns to serve all the patrons timely. We had the BLT, Philly cheese steak sandwich, All American breakfast, and a Classic burger. The cinnamon roll was amazing. Best tater tot’s of my life. Homemade dressings and breads. We will be frequent returning customers happy to support this place!

My boyfriend and I ate at The Wooden Spoon today for bunch. Our food was pretty sub par. His burger wasn’t seasoned and his hash browns weren’t very crispy and his coffee was just okay. My Philly was seasoned well, but the bread wasn’t very fresh. The service was also pretty meh with a long greet time, just dropped the menus off at the table and left without saying anything, and didn’t check on us much throughout. Seats were a bit sticky and the floors were pretty dirty. Wasn’t worth the $35 meal for us both. Would probably pay $15-$20 total.

Clock Tower Bakery & Cafe is a charming spot located in downtown Overland Park, offering a delightful selection of British cakes, pastries, and afternoon tea. Owned by a native of the United Kingdom, this bakery provides an authentic taste of England and the USA with its delicious baked goods. In addition to traditional English afternoon tea featuring sandwiches and savory treats, the bakery also serves up an array of sweet and savory products for breakfast and lunch.
Who knew downtown Overland Park had a spot for British High Tea? I know, we colonials threw our tea in the harbor, but there's something about partaking in this tradition, that it makes one feel super fancy, and the Clock Tower Bakery served it up well! From the lovely linen and tea service to the amazing spread of sandwiches and sweets. The bakery also offers an array of other sweet and savory products, breakfast and lunch as well. I have seen this place many times but hadn't ever been in before! Reservations are required for high tea, so put this on your must do list.

Passed by the neighborhood and decided to grab a croissant for quick bite(I love croisant). The bakery only sells croissant with chocolate that day so that was what I got. Big pastry and texture was rather densed compare to flaky type of croissant I usually get. I am not sure if this is what the local prefer in Midwest. It was not as buttery as I expected but it definitely filled me up pretty quick!

So many delicious treats here! Can't go wrong with pastries from Clock Tower Bakery for a gathering, and the mini cookies (especially the shortbreads) are a great option for sharing with groups. Now serving coffee from local All the Love Roasting Co. (from the Martin City Brewing Co. team), offering a light and dark roast, and non-dairy alternatives are available for beverages. Good stuff! I've also enjoyed the occasional Egg Salad Sandwich on freshly baked bread, simple and hits the spot for lunch. Tried the Tiramisu for the first time today, and it looked so good that I started chowing down before thinking to snap a photo! Small space, so there's not always room to dine in, but they'll happy pack your order for carry out.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is a bakery chain that offers an assortment of bundt cakes, ranging from small bite-sized ones to large tiered ones. In addition to cakes, they also sell gifts and party supplies. One customer ordered a dozen mini bundt cakes, known as bundtinis, as a way to show gratitude towards the medical team that assisted their daughter. Although the bakery was out of one type of decorative confetti topper, the customer appreciated receiving a phone call with alternative options.
Got a carrot cake for Easter dinner a day it was a hit. So moist and full of flavor. Also ordered the dozen mini cakes so we could try other flavors and so far all are absolutely great. Lemon is perfect and refreshing, strawberry cream is very tasty and looking forward to trying the white chocolate raspberry and pecans and praline. I usually never eat bundt cakes because they are dry and lacking icing but not this place, so moist and the perfect amount of frosting on top. Not overly sweet or overbearing. You won't be disappointed!

If you're in Overland Park and have a craving for delicious bundt cakes, this cake shop is an absolute must-try. We've had the pleasure of sampling their red velvet and white chocolate raspberry cakes a few times before, and they never disappoint. This time, we decided to buy a cake for our 3-year-old nephew, and he was absolutely delighted. His exact words were, "You did a great job bringing these cakes!" Hearing that from him was incredibly heartwarming. Both flavors are incredibly moist and flavorful, with the perfect balance of sweetness. The red velvet is rich and decadent, while the white chocolate raspberry offers a delightful combination of creamy white chocolate and tart raspberry. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this gem. Their bundt cakes are truly some of the best we've ever had!

This bakery chain is limited in the scope of what they offer and can be pricy, but they do it well and still manage to work in a lot of variety for just doing Bundt cakes! Bundtinis by the Dozen (12 nearly bite-sized cakes) are a great option for group events, made simple with pre-selected assortments or do a custom mix. Easy to order online and select a pickup time. The shop also has a small boutique for last minute gifts and decor for whatever your occasion.

Bought 2 bundtlets, 1 key lime the other was carrot cake. The key lime was okay, but the carrot cake was downright disgusting after I realized that the carrots appeared to have green mold on them after I started eating it! I instantly became sick to my stomach! The service was not that great either. I definitely won’t be back!

We used nothing Bundt Cakes for our wedding cake and it was one of the best decisions we made. We ordered a tiered cake for cutting and for my husband and I, then a few dozen of the bundtinis for our guests to enjoy. Since the cake is so rich, these were the PERFECT size and everyone got to choose their own flavor - including Gluten Free for a few guests :) The process was seamless, with easy email ordering and a quick and easy pickup. Everything was beautiful, labeled, and made the cake so easy. Plus, having our own cake meant we actually got to enjoy it!
