The cupcake company was good once upon a time but sadly their quality has gone down badly. Their hygiene practices leave a lot to be desired. And to add to the problem they’re reluctant to take any suggestions and complaints with an open mind. Once called them to complain about stale and funky smelling cupcakes but they were argumentative and rude. Decided never to go back there.

A hidden dessert spot! The eggless cake jars are great. Theobroma is my favorite. There's no seating, only takeaway. A bit pricey, but worth it for a treat. Available on Swiggy for online orders.

We placed an order for the raspberry fresh fruit naked cake for a birthday celebration. When we went to pick the cake up we noticed that the cake being handed over was different from the image that was provided by the bakery (less fruit toppings than advertised). Upon asking, they added more fruits at the top and made it look a bit more like the picture. The taste was okay and the price was reasonable.

Multiple times visited freshbaked goodness, for their chocolate truffle & cheese cake. Their service to corporate customer is not upto the mark. Second it's not a time bound service. Third what we see in instagram vs our order way apart. Butter cream not mixed the sugar well it was rustic.

I am utterly disappointed with the service from Freshly Baked Goodness. I ordered an engagement cake worth 13k, and while the cake itself was correct, the most important detail the congratulatory message was completely wrong. On top of that, it was presented in an extremely shabby and ugly manner. For my brother’s engagement, a once in a lifetime occasion, this mistake was unacceptable. After complaining, your “solution” was to give a free replacement of the correct message, but still on the same old, shabby looking chocolate slab or ask us to pay extra for a slightly better option. This is shocking. After such a big blunder, the least I expected was a proper replacement that matches the standard we paid for. Instead, you chose to cut corners again. This is not about money. It is about professionalism and customer satisfaction. The way this was handled reflects very poorly on your brand, and frankly, it has ruined the trust I had in your service.

I had ordered a customised 2kg birthday cake for a very special person and the cake was supposed to be cut in a party and gave them clear instructions over text. They can not read English or understand inverted comma.i gave them sample image as well. They charged me hefty amount for a customised cake and ruined the text and wrote my WhatsApp message as it is on the cake.they do not follow the instructions and denied giving me photos before delivery. Pathetic. It was really embarrassing for me after paying a hefty amount for the cake. Now they are giving stupid reasons. DO NOT RUIN YOUR DAY WITH THEIR STUPID AND BELOW AVERAGE CAKE.🚨

The famed La Chocolate is conveniently located in the heart of Chennai. It also houses the Delhi Highway eatery inside itself. What drew my attention was the economic pricing of Delhi Highway and it's wide variety of standard North Indian Mughlai fare. The interior is classy and comfortable with a light European vibe more suitable for formal dining. The 'open kitchen' is also present in case you're keen on peeking at your pizza. The parking can be a hassle on busy days. The restaurant barely has any. LA Chocolate is famous for it's cakes and pastries but we couldn't have them as they were out of stock. It also serves great thin crust pizza. We ordered the farmhouse pizza but found it a bit bland. Their BBQ sauce pizzas were much better in my opinion. The pasta is creamy and good too. It was a great experience eating at La Chocolate.

Had ordered a fondant cake for my daughter's first birthday. The quality and design of the cake is nowhere near to what was discussed. It looked like it was done by a baker who had no prior experience. However the taste of the cake was good. But what let us down is the design. Finesse is missing. Lots of room for improvement.

All bread, snack and dessert options are baked daily and are super tasty and of high quality. Their sourdough bread is fermented perfectly. Their mushroom feta cheese pizza is one of a kind. Their breads are much healthier and better than processed bread which we get in supermarket

Good quality and freshly baked varieties of bread are available. Other baked goods, such as cookies, puffs, and sandwiches, are available too. Would suggest going early in the afternoon or late mornings to get the breads as they tend to sell out pretty quickly.

Cute place with some amazing local bakery stuff! Almost everything on their menu is a must-try! Starting from their coffees to carrot cake or banana bread to quiches and rolls. My absolute favourite is their chilli chicken quiche that always gets sold out by 5-6pm. They also have freshly baked breads and desserts such as as cakes, pies and cookies. But you might want to visit the cafe in the late afternoon to try their amazing food! They get sold out real quick!

Cake Walk is easily accessible and has parking available (which is a multiple bonus as it's located on Sterling Road, in the heart of the city). The staff are extremely courteous and impeccable in their service standards. The ambience is great for catch-ups and long conversations. We ordered the brownie, biscoff croissant, fish fingers, hot chocolate and the coffee. I am unsure of the name for the coffee because it has been a few weeks since I returned, and I did not take down the names of what my friend had had. Personally, it doesn't make sense for me to order dessert and say that it was too sweet; but when it becomes cloyingly sweet, then it does have too much sugar in it. I liked my hot chocolate and the fish fingers. They helped to take my mind off the extremely sweet brownie. I should have had a chat with the staff member and I am sure they would have helped me out. However, I was preoccupied and so was unable to have a chat with the staff about their personal recommendations. I wish I hadn't had to go out for dinner because then I would have loved to try the sandwiches that were on the menu. A word of advice - food is prepared fresh and so, do not assume that something that is on the menu is unavailable because it is not in the display. Do make it a point to ask the staff.

Decent Pastries, but Pricey and Slow Service I've always enjoyed some of their offerings—especially the red velvet pancakes, which are absolutely delicious. However, during my recent visit, I tried their rainbow cake, which was decent in taste but quite expensive at around ₹300 for a single slice. Also, we had to wait 30–40 minutes for the pancakes, which felt a bit too long. While the quality is decent, the portion size and service time don’t quite justify the price. A place I’d visit occasionally, but not regularly.

Yesterday was my daughter’s birthday, and for the celebration we approached Cake Walk to order a cake. They had a wide variety of premium cakes available, and we chose a large Choco Red Velvet cake. We requested them to write Happy Birthday Ashley on the cake. Initially, they suggested writing the name on a chocolate plate, mentioning that writing directly on the cake might not fit properly. However, upon our request, they kindly agreed and managed to do it perfectly. The cake turned out absolutely wonderful – beautifully made and incredibly delicious. Always celebrated my birthday's with their 1/2 kg blueberry or red-velvet or blackforest cakes. They had never compromised on quality & standards in all their products. I am a regular to this bakery shop for many years. I love their puffs and eggless cakes. Their soft bread helped my senior citizen father chew well for they are that soft. Their cookies are great while chess cookies are superb. I have tasted their doughnuts, pizza bun while a few non veg snacks are good too. Located at the brink of Alwarpet bridge end, this bakery is a must to visit for cake lovers.

The shop is busy with endless customers as it was Christmas season. We went there to buy cakes for Christmas. They have many varieties of ice cakes and biscuits. They also have Plum cakes, Mango cream cakes, Toffee caramel cake, Rich fruit cake, Hazelnut cake, Dates and carrot cake, Red mince cake, Dundee cake, Milk cake,Walnut banana cake, Marble cake and so on. They also provide eggless options in limited varieties. The cakes are pretty expensive I would say. 250 grams of plum cake cost around 300 bucks. Their newly launched Toffee caramel also costs around 350 bucks which is high compared to Adyar Ananda bhavan where they charge around 170 for plum cakes. They also have puffs, croissants and burgers and pizza bases. I bought Red mince cake, milk cake and chocolate cake. The bill came around 570 bucks. Will try out the cakes and I'll update soon.

A very long standing chain of bakeries in Chennai. Excellent stuff. Cinnamon rolls are brilliant. Reasonably Priced.

Place is okay. The setting is good. It has a spacious, outdoor serving area. Lots of trees. Nice, cute cats. But the food by itself is not that great. And the prices are a bit high, like in a niche joint. But the quality does not seem to warrant such high pricing. Some of the items are fairly good, like the french fires and some sandwiches. There are some items on the menu which are perennially not available. Or maybe I have been unlucky. Watch out for the monkeys. They are really naughty and fairly aggressive.

Ordered a 1kg Black Forest cake and it was 70% whipped cream and 30% chocolate. A piece of blackforest that these guys sell has chocolate flakes all over like the original. But these guys skimp on the chocolate when you order a cake. Complained about this and they defended that it is the new way of doing it. Do not order a black forest. The guy took his sweet time inspite of this order placed a day back and I had a Uber waiting. This was my favorite 20 yrs bck but not anymore. Wasted my time and money.

I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent order from HOT BREADS GANDHINAGAR ADYAR. My order was for a 3kgs red velvet birthday cake which was promised to be ready by 6:00 PM on 30th Oct When I arrived, the cake was not ready until 1 and 1/2 hours later. This major delay caused embarrassment in front of our friends and relatives. The disappointment didn't end there. The quality of the cake was extremely poor and not at all what was expected.

Day light fraud happening here! We paid 2100 rupees for a 1kg triple chocolate mousse cake. I came back home and checked the weight. It was just 988 grams (includes the board weight which will be 20 grams according to my knowledge). I called them up and when the issue was discussed they told me that it was just a matter of 15 to 20 grams. Would they accept if I had paid less money?. Plus the taste was average as well so wouldn't recommend this place. Trust broken and quality has gone down over the years! They portray as a fancy cafe, but their service is terrible! We ordered baked cheesecake from here. The strawberry compote was good and the biscuit base was also delicious. However the cheese cake was a little decadent - maybe a little too dense but the cake finish was neat and was worth the money.

After finishing my meal and settling the bill, I was politely asked not to use my laptop. While I respect any house rules, I looked around and only found a notice that said "no interviews or business meetings allowed" — there was no mention of laptops. When I asked the staff for clarification, their responses were a bit inconsistent. First, I was told laptops weren’t allowed at all. Then they said laptops were allowed if I continued to order food. I wasn’t trying to stretch my stay without being a customer — I had already placed a full order and paid. I just needed a few minutes to wrap up some work quietly. I understand the need for table turnover, especially in busy spots, but clearer communication and a little flexibility can go a long way in customer satisfaction. Many of us are happy to follow the rules — we just need them to be clearly stated and consistently upheld. Overall, I’d still recommend this place for the food, but I hope the management takes a moment to brief the staff on how to handle such situations more gracefully. Sometimes, a 10-minute window for a customer to finish up can be the difference between a good experience and an uncomfortable one.

I recently visited Pantry D'or in Anna Nagar for brunch and had a great experience. I tried the English breakfast, hot chocolate, and southern fried chicken – all of which were really tasty and satisfying. The English breakfast was well-balanced and nicely presented. It's a good place if you plan on having breakfast on weekends with your family. It's been a long time since and went there for lunch with colleagues. We ordered various items, from starters to mains and a few beverages. The starters, specially their peri-peri hot and crunchy chicken was great. The Dijon salad, the Poutine and Queso fries were okay. The chicken lasagna tasted good but was presented differently, with the lasagna waddling in tomato sauce. The Mocha was tasty. Service was good. Ambiance is neat and clean. As soon as you enter, you can see a pantry counter towards the left, laden with cakes and pastries. A few cars can park. However, their prices are steep.

Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

When in doubt it's donuts & coffee.  It seldom fails.  Krispy Kreme has catered to this craving for quite a while now.  Besides their staples like the Original Glazed and Churro, their seasonal and festive offering is always bang on. Have been a frequent at their Express Avenue outlet.  A comfortable and cozy ambience from what was initially a sprawling layout, their service is just as cheerful. The pricing can seem a bit dear with the presence of other native players, notwithstanding.

We tasted 4 different ones. All had different taste and all were really nice. We got a buy 3 get 1 offer. The oiginal and the chocochip ones stood out of them.

I bought a donut from the Krispy Kreme shop at the express avenue location. It was spoiled, and when I asked the employee, he claimed it was fresh. When we requested him to taste and check, he gave us a replacement. We took a bite- what if we had gotten sick? What if we had taken it to go? We wouldn’t have been able to return it. When such reputable brands serve poor-quality food, it raises serious concerns. I am attaching my Gpay receipt for reference.

Every donut and drink is awesome except the place is full of dark meaning the lights are dim and also the placing of chairs and seats need to be arranged in a well organised manner. Then this business will be at its peak. 📈

Had some special " DC comics edition " doughnuts here along with glazed cheesecake donut ( it was a buy 3 get 1 free order ) . I personally loved the Batman and Superman doughnut which was so moist and full of creamy fillings . The Wonder Woman donut was kinda okay as the fillings were not as good as their other DC versions . All those Batman , Superman and Wonder Woman stickers over the donut were edible too . The glazed cheesecake felt bit bland and I didn't even sense the taste of cheese in it . Considering the good service , overall I'd say it was a 4/5 place .

One of the worst bakeries I’ve visited. I recently bought a Black Forest cake for ₹75 — while the packaging looked fine, the cake itself was of very poor quality. Even smaller towns offer much better cakes. In Chennai, they are misleading customers and selling substandard products

Highly priced for the quality offered and worst experience in billing. Never buy any item without cross checking the bills. Multiple times I have faced billing issues, they charge different amount in the same bill for the same variety of cake, or bill a high value cake instead of what was purchased or increase the count of items purchased.

These people spoil it.They don't even ask an Apolgy ..Pls make sure these people learn how to attend customers who come to your shop for years.

The worst experience I’ve had with any bakery. My friends and I had their rainbow cake, and it led to food poisoning for all of us. This place is extremely overhyped — definitely not worth risking your health. Please be cautious before ordering from here. We expected quality and ended up sick. Never again.

They charge u a bomb for basic stuff. Only point it is the only shop in nearby area. For a polythene bag will ask you an extra 8 to 10 rupees which is against law. Absurd. High price.

Overall, while my experience with the birthday cake was not perfect, I believe Ovenfresh Velachery has potential, especially if you plan ahead for fresher options. I have had better experience with OvenFresh a few years back but it is not there anymore. I ordered the Pizzas from here and the outcome is very worse, the crest is completely in black color at the bottom and taste is very bad. Totally disappointed.

I ordered a grilled sandwich through Swiggy’s Buy 1 Get 1 offer in taramani link road branch, but the experience turned out to be misleading. While ordering, the options were presented as “half” and “full” sandwich, and in a rush, I selected “half,” assuming it referred to a complete sandwich. The price was around ₹130, so I proceeded with the Buy one get one deal. However, when the order arrived, I realized that I had actually selected just half a sandwich. In the end, I ended up paying for what was essentially a single, regular-sized sandwich with poor-quality sauce and stale chicken. This review is just to inform others, as I understand that I may not have a valid complaint from a technical standpoint.

Seating space with around 4 tables provided. Pricing is little on the higher side. Street parking for bikes are available.

I went to The Bakers Code in Thoraipakkam and had a very fulfilling experience! The walnut cake is a must-have -- soft, rich, and super tasty. There was a huge variety of cakes and everything appeared delicious and was delicious. I also had the ice cream, milkshake, nuggets, and pasta -- they were fresh, tasty, and well prepared! The nuggets were crispy, the pasta was creamy and well-flavoured, and the milkshake was thick and cold. The ambience is neat and cozy, perfect for a bite or to hangout with friends. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The pricing is also reasonable for the quality. Definitely a must-go place for cake lovers and food lovers. I will surely visit again.

A place where one can pick up freshly baked goods made with few ingredients. Cakes, pies and breads are standard. Bread was made with 4-5 ingredients including butter. This was the reason for liking this place. But of late, noticed a different taste in bread I noticed GSM is being used now which is margarine or made of hydrogenated fats. Not as healthy as butter.

I ordered fondant cake for my kid's birthday. It was a customized cake and Chef Ramu did a fantastic job in understanding my requirements and getting the cake ready on time. Special thanks to him🔥. This shop is on a prime location and it is quite expensive when compared to other bakeries. Fondant cake is 1800 per kg and cream cake is 1500 per kg which is INR 300 extra on both the items but at the same time it matches the quality of the product. Customer service needs some improvement. Expect more wait time during peak hours.

We generally visit this place regularly for weekly shopping to get breads, buns and pastries for kids. Quality and taste of milk bread, wheat bread, garlic bread, sandwich bread is nice. However do check the date labels and ask for fresh ones always. French loaf (long) is one of our favorites but not available all the times though !!! These mini sweet buns go well with butter or along with a soup.

Baker's nook was recommended by a family friend from her own positive experience. Home bakers with clean ingredients and no additives/ preservatives. Right from our first phone call, Saritha ma'am was very friendly and very accommodating. We wanted to have a sample taste and she gracefully provided few paid cupcake samples that made our choosing of flavour easier. The cake customisation was beautifully done and the flavour, Vanilla biscoff,was quite the hit. The macaroons in the cake decoration was also very tasty. We also ordered chocolate decadence cake for a separate occasion and our daughter absolutely loved it. Definitely looking forward to ordering more. This beautiful little home in Anna nagar is run by two beautiful homebakers, Mother and Son. I know them personally for a long time now. Shashank has undergone his expert training at Lavonne , Bangalore and his Guru & mother Sarita has been weaving magic with her expert hands with their extremely innovative cakes as pastries and lots of little customised treats for various Birthday/ Wedding/ Anniversary, you name it celebrations. Always found busy from day and night with a set of very young capable and expert helpers who they have trained from scratch to become expert bakers like they are one day. This place is like a mini Willi wonkas chocolate cake factory. Never had better cakes or quiches or cupcakes than the handcrafted ones made by these two magicians. 10/10 recommended for your next customized cake order.

This place is cozy and serves really good food. It was incredibly clean, the food was served fresh and tasted amazing. We had hot chocolate (not like Hershey’s add milk and chocolate) thick and dense. Tasted so fresh and creamy. The standard is high here. The iced cold coffee was classic, peri peri fries was higher on the peri peri side for all those lovers. The exotic veg pizza was rich and yum. The best is the Mango Tres Leches cake. Good one. Will be back to try other drinks and cakes.

By doing this, most of the focus of the baker goes off in the decor and the taste is average. Bought chocolate pastry cake asking if it is fresh. The cake was bad and kids spit it in first bite.Myself and my wife both tasted it and could not eat it as it was too bad.I called them to discuss it so that they can correct it in future but they called back again and justifying it was good which made me write this review. I called and complained for a small cake because it is consumed by kids and what if something goes bad. I learned a lesson today to not buy cake for kids without tasting it first at shop itself

They handle in a very unhygienic way... I was there & saw that thay put cake carrying plastic crates on the floor while unloading from the vehicle and later they started stacking one above another.. I asked don't you think mud on the floor will be failing on the cakes... there was a long silence.. poor guys don't have idea on how to handle the unpacked food products.. . Full disappointment. NEVER visit this place. We have order placed for child's birthday cake on a week before. Owner promised to delivery to the party hall too. But at last moment he said they don't deliver we should come and collect and later when we reached the place they said it'll take another 1 hour. While all our guest were waiting in party hall we were arguing with the staff and they cooly saying we are not responsible talk to other manager.

Had ordered a Salted Caramel cake on 03.01.2024 to be delivered at 2.30 afternoon for my newly-wed niece’s husband and in-laws coming to the house for the first time. The cake reached me at 6.30 p.m. much after the function. By then the cake was gooey and melted. We expect certain standards for a cake shop like The Table. The accountant and cook were not only rude and unapologetic but had an attitude ‘This is how it is’ kinda feel. The moment was lost. Beware of dealing with a sub standard bakery like this.

I have been thinking of ordering cake from here for a very long time. Recently ordered chocolate fondue cake was really disappointed, the oreo biscuits and wafers were soggy. There were no kiwi or any other fruits. It looked nothing compared to the pic they had posted online, the pic looked exotic with those kiwi, chocolate stuffed cookies; I had to add mangos to the bunch and remove the oreo biscuits and switch it to new ones. I love dark chocolate but this fondue tasted weird. The sponge cake was hard and dry. It costed 1750 with the delivery charge was definitely not worth it.

We ordered a two tier birthday cake, cookies, cupcakes and a smash cake for our sons first birthday and were not disappointed with anything! The cakes were delicious, cookies were super cute (also delicious) and the presentation was second to none. We are over the moon that we have found this bakery in Chennai and will be recommending them to all of our friends. Their responsiveness to messages was also incredible. A close friend introduced me to this Unique Baker. And my first order a year ago was for my daughter's birthday and she did a wonderful job making a YOKO cake for her. This year again went back for a Teddy Cake and she made it tasty and fresh. I strongly recommend this place for Unique Custom cakes. Yes the prices in comparison are high but when you see the product, it is deserving. So those with a taste for custom unique designer cakes will find this place great.

Their service is extremely disappointing. My friend had ordered for a birthday cake for her son and it's been more than 10 days since they replied to her order properly. When they went for a tasting also they didn't treat them properly and the session also got cancelled cos of unavailability of the staff. They are not picking up from my friend's number and their attitude towards the customer is poor and hasn't shown a sign of being apologetic for their irresponsible behaviour.

It's becoming one of our favorite in KK NAGAR. Visited 2 times in the same month. Loving their range of pastry items. Ambiance is so good and out of 3 set of dine in places one set is with more comfortable sofa. Somehow during my both visits we got that,😁 During our last visit we had veg sandwich, choco lava, black forest, triple berry and french fries. The sandwich was so superb. Enjoyed it. Lava and triple berry was awesome. Black forest was okay. I want to add up we were gone with our lil one and he is not able to eat any of this items being a 2 yrs old kid. Looking at the same they sliced a fresh plain bread into pces and gave in a plate and he enjoyed it. This is what I feels customer delight. Hats off to the guys. All above costed 373 INR including 18%GST. Overall a nice experience in both times and enjoyed.

My god... This has to be the worst shop I've ever dealt with. I ordered a red velvet cake a day in advance, only to arrive and find out they had the cake, but it was in a completely different shape. When I pointed out the mistake, the store guy had no explanation. He even had the audacity to say they didn't have any stock. I preordered a day in advance to avoid this exact situation! How could they be so careless? I had to rush to another store to buy a new cake. Avoid this shop at all costs. Their customer service is atrocious.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. We bought a chocolate truffle cake (1/2 kg) for rs.800 on 20th August 2023 for a birthday celebration and they sold us a spoilt cake. The lady that sold it to us told us the cake was fresh and could be used for 2 days. We cut the cake within 24 hours of purchase and it was totally spoilt. It is very dry and has a pungent taste and smell. It can be easily said that the cake is very old and expired long before ago. We contacted the store where it was informed that the cake is actually only worth rs.600. We were charged extra by the lady working there and also lied to by being sold the expired cake.

D cashier/ seller is horrible. There’s no rate card of items. She comes up with her own rate. When asked to elaborate and give a written bill, the final amount is Atleast 300₹ less. Cheater. Spoiling the name of the brand. Kindly fire her.

Cake shop is located in the lobby of Leela Palace. They have pastries, cup cake, fondant cakes 🍰 and 500gms cake. You can either dine in or have take away. I love their belgian chocolate truffle and mango fruit tart. As I am an chocolate lover I fell for belgian chocolate truffle, it's quality was outstanding. One must try them atleast once.

All cakes are great, with so good quality and decorated fresh fruits and good chocolate. The price isn't high compared the quality, it worths

One of the best premium cake shop in town. It has such a marvelous ambience with it's giant cake model in the middle. The quality of the cakes and other bakery items are unbeatable. But the only thing that concerns me is the service. The first time when I came they gave my order within few minutes, but the next time it took nearly 20mins. Maybe it might be because I came after their working hours. But in overall I love the entire thing about the shop.

Based on good reviews from friends circle, thought to check this place out. We had been there as a family for dinner. The atmosphere was good, its not a big place, but decent enough. We were seated at a convenient table (we had table booked). Booking is advised for weekends. Serves Asian & Continental cuisine. Food was good. Orders do take some time to get delivered. Overall good place to try out if you are in and around Alwarpet.

We visited Pumpkin Tails at Alwarpet, Chennai for breakfast, and it was a fantastic experience. We ordered the Turkish eggs, shakes, Eggs Benedict, and the grilled cheese sandwich with chicken, and everything was top-notch. The service was excellent, probably helped by the fact that we went early in the morning when the place was mostly empty. I have to give a special mention to the bread that came with the Turkish eggs, it was so fresh and tasted amazing. I’m definitely planning to go back soon to try their lunch and dinner menu!

My Sunday evening visit to this Italian restaurant around 6:30-7 PM was absolutely delightful! The ambiance is lovely, with soft, inviting interiors that perfectly capture the essence of an Italian eatery. One of the biggest perks, especially in Chennai, is their valet parking service – it made the start of our evening so much smoother. We began with the Mushroom Soup, which was incredibly delicious and served promptly, with a perfect portion size for one person. Next, the Baby Corn starter was a standout, featuring a wonderful lemongrass infusion and a perfectly creamy sauce. While the quantity for starters might be a bit less for two, the taste more than made up for it. The pizza we ordered was truly amazing, with perfectly flavored sauces and a generous serving. The restaurant is impeccably maintained, right down to the very clean washroom on the third floor. Overall, we had an amazing time. The staff were exceptionally good and responsive, enhancing our experience. We also appreciated the 15% discount through Zomato, making it even more value for money. It's always the little details that must be taken care of. People sitting in a restaurant have the time to notice. They may be engaged in conversations but they know a good place when they are in one. The service at Pumpkin Tales is warm with smiles flowing as easily as the water into glasses. The contrasts in the seating, the buzz of conversation and the lights make this a place you want to soak in. Most of the food is freshly prepared, so it does take some time to be served. And plating the dish with all its ingredients does take time. And that ensures the visual appeal of the dishes is enhanced. As well as the aticipation when it arrives at your table. In fact, a 'mixing' of some of the dishes is offered, and the ceremony adds to the appetite! There was a time when only the taste mattered. But we've now got to the point where several restaurants can make food taste good. But we've also become a lot less forgiving of bland presentations, especially when the prices are higher. The open seating and the way the pastries are arranged at one end of the restaurant does enhance the appeal. And probably brings those who try to fight the temptations to feast their eyes on the offerings before they make a decision. The placement of potted plants behind the wide glass windows also blocks out most of the bland urban profiles. And just in case you think all these photographs are taken at one meal, they aren't. This was a long-delayed review and the addition of four breaksfast dishes did round off the experience from several visits. Valet parking is available butit must be quite a job to get all those cars which arrive to fit into the available spaces.

Was here for my mom’s birthday. The place is nice and service staff are great with in depth knowledge of the food, which is a huge plus. The food though was mixed; the Vegan cheese cake was very hard and chewy and the zaatar bread didn’t look or taste like zaatar bread whereas the baby corn short bites and Thai green curry were nice. Overall an above average experience.

I've been to several branches of Old Madras Baking Company, this Alwapet branch has more and better breads and processed foods, such as fruits jam, sauces, organic sugar, and cereals. It has a long table to take a rest in the middle. Many customers came to buy breads in the morning. My favorite bread is coconut bun.

Great quality Crossiant, Pastry and Bun. Many other bakery items on offer. Coffee is unncesarily costly and pretty average. Danish pastry was the most delicious one on menu. Danish bun was great as well. Every item is freshly baked and served and you might even find fast moving items out of stock and it may take upto 1.5 hours for the next batch to be ready.

We wanted to visit this place for a while as the lighting looked pleasing. But, we gathered later that the place is being shared by KFC as well which really put us off. We ordered a puff which is average, lemon meringue tart which was horrible and we feel like puking even after 3 days since we ate this. Also, we had a passion fruit mojito which was brimming with essence. I am not sure if the management will review my rating. Incase they do it, I recommend they focus on delivering quality food than apologising /asking for contact number to resolve the issue as those stunts would be really useless.

We decided to try Nicky's for our noon coffee. Having been to Palladium a bunch of times, we always loved the smell of fresh roasted coffee wafting up. The place looks posh but don't worry, the place is not expensive. Ambience: - Lovely setting. It's located within one of the atriums of the Palladium Mall and the views all around (including up) are very good. - The seating is also well designed. *Tip: There's limited seating available as half the seating is reserved for customers of KFC nearby. This is a bit weird as the seating looks exactly the same. Beverage: - Ordered the cappuccino and iced americano. As expected, taste wise they both had very good quality coffee used. We could clearly taste the roast. - Service of the iced americano was terrible. Given in a plastic bottle without a separate glass. Food: - We didn't try anything but it all looked so so good. Shall definitely indulge next time. Tip for management: - Please improve your service standards. I understand why disposables are used but in such a nice place, one expects proper cups and not plastic and paper. - Floors clearly had mop marks. You need to ensure it shines. - Some small fragrance will also do loads of good.

Ordered a 2kg Lotis biscoff customised cake for 4560 including delivery charges. I honestly believed that Nicky’s cafe will be promising by their words but I was very much disappointed by the cake . I couldn’t answer my colleague as I ordered for a corporate event . The cake was literally breaking into pieces and was not moist or gelled with cream and flavours at all. As I shared my feedback as usual like other bakers they said this happens only if we cut the cake as soon as taken out from the refrigerator. But that was not the case with mine. Please think twice before ordering from them !!! Totally not worth the cost .

Not a pleasant experience. This is my first time here referred by a friend. Ordered a chocolate tart and a black forest cake. I'm writing this as I'm waiting for my Americano🤞. I have never seen a tart shell this big in my life. It's so big and probably under baked. It doesn't have the lustrous golden brown and biscuit(y) goodness of a tart shell which would have been great with the dark velvety chocolate filling. Too much butter so much so that it crumbles when I'm trying to hold it which is a shame. Black forest is equally a blunter. It was dry. Can't explain more. I know it's eggless, but it was dry as aunty helen as Uncle Roger would say. Not trying to be a hard critic but just wanna put this out as my unpleasant experience so that you could have something to consider while not choosing this place.

The first time we tried a new food and ended up being successful. I tried chicken pasta salad it was different but still tasty and the cold coffee was also good. Overall the food quality and the ambiance looked very good. The burger was just good and could have been better for that price. Prices are slightly on the higher side. It has a good parking space outside for bikes.

Adyar bakery one of the most iconic and sought after bakeries a decade ago, now sits at a very humble spot in Adyar. The ambiance is very bad and very unwelcoming with a few tables and chairs which were very dirty but the pastries were good and the puffs tasted the best.

This bakery had been there for ages. In the period before 2010, this was one of the few well known bakeries in South Chennai. Earlier there was a very popular Supermarket on the first floor, along with an Icecream parlour. Was a regular customer with young kids then. Fast forward to 2025. Pastry items were very ordinary, but prepackaged cakes were good. Another Icon, not keeping with the times. Prices are reasonable and there are lots of seating areas.

Bought some cookies here and it tasted good. Good place for cookies and snacks.

There were 3-4 people standing behind the counter, they wouldn’t greet, serve or suggest w anything. I felt sad seeing how the place has gone from great to bad. They have a shelf of pre-packaged items. I mean they are a bakery for godsake! They have so much potential but looks like management doesn’t care enough to make it better. Bought COCONUT MACAROONS on 11-feb-2020 from Nimi’s oven at Ashok pillar. Date of MFG 23-jan-2020 and Best before 23-feb-2020 mentioned on the product. Unfortunately it was noticed that it had fungal growth which could cause food poisoning or any other Serious aftermath .Those who are buying for kids, please do inspect twice. And I am not sure whether they dispose expired items or re sticker. Pictures attached.

Nimi's Oven is a maker of fine cakes and pastries, they have promptly delivered cakes along with other eateries on a regular basis for my personal and professional needs. Its location is very convenient and most of the time it's easy to find a parking spot. Their cakes tast really good and have always felt freshly baked.
