Today, I had the pleasure of visiting The Cornish Bakery, a delightful spot that never fails to impress. Known for its authentic local pasties and delectable French pastries, this charming café also serves hand-roasted coffee and specialty breads. With 45 locations across the UK, particularly in Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset, it’s a beloved destination for many.
Absolutely love this place! The pastries are always fresh and delicious, and the coffee is top-notch. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax while shopping. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Street! Personal recommendation to try pistachio croissant and Cornish pudding!
Kamila Z — Google review
Had lunch in here, ordered a cheese and onion pasty, can of coke and a raspberry croissant. The pasty was very full and tasty. I had to ask for a bag to eat the croissant at home as was full after eating. The service was good and surprised that it wasn't too pricey. Would come back again
Clare C — Google review
My first time trying Cornish Bakery. I knew it is very popular and I didn’t know what was the best to have so I ordered a tortilla with a cappuccino. Average food and environment, nothing special for lunch. The tortilla was a bit dry and just something that I didn’t quite enjoy. However, I will definitely try sausage roll next time as it looked delicious!
Charlotte L — Google review
Really lovely place! The pasties are always fresh and tasty, and the cakes and pastries are great too. Staff are friendly and the service is quick. Definitely one of the best spots if you’re after something delicious on the go.
Georgia L — Google review
I loved 😍 their root vegetable cornish pasties. Delicious, scrumptious, delectible, yum! Tomorrow is another day for the same. I had the herbal tea in the cafe. They charge extra to sit and eat. Line was continuous and fast. Someone cleared the tables often. Bon Apetit!
Michelle P — Google review
Lovely bright atmosphere with plenty of seating. Lots of variety of food and everything we had was incredible!
Chloe B — Google review
Friendly staff, love the croissants and coffee. Only complaint would be that the queue is slow, the food is uncovered so can see flies buzzing around. And needs more seating and a better food collection system as everyone gathers at the end in each other's way. But lovely place
Sophie F — Google review
A five-star review for the Cornish Bakery in Clarks Village might look something like this: Absolutely fantastic! The Cornish Bakery is a must-visit every time I'm in Clarks Village. Their traditional pasties are the real deal—packed with flavor and with a perfect, flaky crust. It's truly a taste of Cornwall right here in Street. The sausage rolls are also incredible, and the coffee is always spot on. The staff are super friendly and quick, even when it's busy. I can't recommend this place enough for a quick bite that's always delicious and satisfying.

Town Mill Bakery in Lyme Regis is a popular spot known for its French-style artisan loaves made with natural wild yeasts and no additives. The bakery's success lies in its unique formula of offering a do-it-yourself breakfast experience, unlimited toast, jams, boiled eggs, Town Mill muesli, hot lunches, afternoon tea with delectable treats like eccles cakes and apricot cranberry scones.
We always have breakfast here when we visit Lyme Regis. The staff are so friendly and the food is wonderful .Both the full breakfast and the veggie breakfast are amazing, the mushrooms in garlic sauce are delicious and the veggie fritters are so tasty. Lots of people visit the takeaway bakery and the bakes look delicious. I would definitely recommend the Mill Bakery every time. 🙂

We found this place on Google Maps, so glad we went. We had our dog with us, so we ate on the outside benches. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but it was definitely worth the wait. The coffee was very good and we all enjoyed our food. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. It was very good value for money, we all left feeling very full. They also have a little shop selling lovely treats
Teresa H — Google review
Fabulous! What a wonderful place to enjoy lunch whilst visiting Lyme Regis. Such a lovely buzzing atmosphere. We were made so welcome by all the staff even though it was packed with visitors. We were with our two whippets and they were also made very welcome! The cappuccino was the best I’d ever had, and the egg Royale was just fab. We’ll definitely be coming back in the spring!
Beverly C — Google review
Just loved this place. Food is fantastic and the decaff coffee is the best had. Set down one of the side street of Lyme Regis. It's worth a visit but go early to avoid the crowds. Also has a takeaway service.
Richard T — Google review
Stopped for a coffee and cake with our whippets. Very dog friendly, lovely coffee and the cake we chose was pretty spectacular. Nice sheltered seating outside with friendly welcoming staff. Foods are not the cheapest but what we had we were happy with.
John G — Google review
I love a good bakery, so when we realised our accommodation was literally across the road from here, we visited a few times! Coffee and pastries were great. Lovely seating outdoors. Can be a bit of a wait for a table as first come first serve, especially in the morning, but totally worth it!
Whitters — Google review
We had an amazing breakfast here this morning! Poached eggs on sourdough with crispy bacon and scrambled eggs on sourdough with sausage. Absolutely delicious and kept us full for our fossil walk and the rest of the afternoon! Definitely check it out if you are in Lyme Regis - but come early as it was already pretty busy by 9:30am.
Kate D — Google review
We used it a couple of times and found that on both visits the staff were really friendly and the food was very good, with quite a few vegetarian options.

Le Petit Prince Patisserie is a family-owned bakery and patisserie located in East Street. They offer a wide range of freshly baked products including bread, cakes, drinks, and savories made with local Dorset ingredients. The cute French cafe serves an array of fresh breads, pastries, and savory items all baked in-house using locally sourced natural ingredients. While it's a bit pricey, the patisserie offers plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors.
What a great find. A lovely place to relax. The choice of cakes and selection of food on offer was fantastic. Friendly staff with great customer service. Just a really nice place! Will definitely be coming back again soon to try out another of the lovely cakes!
KD C — Google review
We came for breakfast on bank holiday on Monday, which was lovely. There was plenty seating in the garden, which was cute, but a little overgrown. The food was tasty, although a little pricey; in particular, one slice of toast with some scrambled egg and mushrooms for £10 seemed a bit much. I also didn't love that all food was seemingly served on a wooden chopping board.. not sure how hygienic this was. The service at the till wasn't cheery at all, bordering on rude, which was slightly off putting. However, the food was delicious and the coffee was good and I'd definitely pop in for a pastry again!
Jaime T — Google review
The desserts are divine... the staff is friendly, kind, polite, and attentive. All the facilities are very clean.
Dave S — Google review
Visited for lunch, had quiche & salad and a cake, all were lovely. The furniture and decor is rustic but clean enough. There's a garden at the back which is surprisingly large and looks inviting on a hot day. Dogs are seemingly welcome.

Great little coffee shop in the heart of Wimborne. The rest of the food looked great . Really keen to try the bacon and chorizo baguette but we only had coffee and cakes so far . Decor is lovely . Staff are great , all very friendly .

They are known for their award-winning breads, savouries, cakes, scones, and pastries which are all handmade from scratch without any additives. So taken by this traditional independent bakery, selling the most appetising array of sweet treats and unique breads. Everything looked incredible, wish I could have tried all of them. Lovely to hear of the history on the website and I wish you many more years of success, from a passing visitor. Thank you!

Brilliant traditional bakers 👌🏻👌🏻 Huge variety and all yummy. The bread pudding is my favourite but I still have more to try:)
J R — Google review
This is an awesome bakery. Seriously good popular treats. Not sure I would do an enormous detour to come here as there are many good bakeries in Dorset, but if you're in Bridport I recommend their date and ginger scones. So good I've been making them at home since I tried one!
Ros — Google review
Fabulous baked goods. Staff helped me order as so much choice, and she was super helpful and chatty. Ordered Goats cheese tart, I adored this, cheese, with more cheese, with onion, tomatoes and egg custard gumminess Cheese straw, more cheese than straw excellent! Cheese nut, onion pasty - definitely different, tasty and packed with flavour Cinnamon pastry - as I love cinnamon, flaky and buttery Apple Cake - delicious, hubby scoffed the lot in seconds, and is currently looking up recipes online. Will be returning here.

A really nice bakery. Very tasty almond croissant.

The most amazing bakers ever. The staff are so helpful and friendly. But I do have to say, Their pasties are the best I've ever had. Being a delivery driver I've had a few pasties, but none that tasted as good as theirs. Highly recommend trying this bakers 😃
Craig — Google review
We had read many good things about this bakery and drove two hours to try it. We tried several items and all were pretty average. The brownie was our favourite but overall we weren’t that impressed. Nothing bad, just didn’t live up to the expectations we had. To be fair, it was also near closing time so it seemed many products may have been sold out.
T Y — Google review
These was one of the best bakers I had the pleasure of buying from. There products taste so good and there is certainly a great deal of choice to choose from. Well worth a visit. It most definately gets a 10/10 from me. I am also not easy to please. Well done guys, I will be coming back for more.

Corfe Castle Village Bakery, located in Corfe Castle, England, offers a variety of delicious baked goods including pasties, sandwiches, sausage rolls, and cakes. Additionally, the bakery serves cream teas, hot chocolate, tea and coffee at its National Trust tearoom. The bakery is well-known for its award-winning breads made using traditional methods with slow overnight fermentation. Guests can also enjoy British dishes at this charming bakery.
Love this place. Traditional bakery in the centre of Corfe Castle village. Always popular and very reasonable. Today (Sunday) I went in just as they opened and had a couple of delicious crusty (yep, proper crusty and on a Sunday too!) rolls with sausages and a coffee. Absolutely lovely!
Mark G — Google review
Amazing local bakery in Corfe. The sausage roll and steak bake were incredible. We also bought a loaf of bread which was delicious and everything is very reasonably priced. If you’re around Corfe, get yourself down!
Chapman B — Google review
A good bakery is a joy and this is one of the best in Dorset. Despite being in the main tourist village their prices are normal and it's proper traditional cakes and sarnies all the way. You can get a full picnic and take it up to the castle. It's very popular and queues are out the door normally. But the staff are really efficient so you don't wait long. My favourites are the sausage rolls and scones. They definitely deserve all the awards they've won.
Ingrid S — Google review
We have been here many times over the years but this year we came a bit earlier and there was no queue which was good for us. We had the large Cornish pasties and they were very nice. Fresh and hot. The vegetarian pasties were not as nice with the wholemeal pastry. They would have been better in my opinion with the traditional pastry. The cakes were delicious. Really fresh and tasty. The prices were reasonable with the large pasty being £4.50 and the cakes around the £1.10 mark. The staff were friendly and it made a nice lunch for us.
Andrea P — Google review
We regularly visit Corfe and the surrounding area and whenever camping we arrive early at Corfe Bakery for a lovely crusty breakfast roll! The staff are always lovely and we have never had anything but tasty goods both sweet and savoury , a smile and politeness. I’d recommend arriving early so not to queue but the popularity of the bakery means an occasional queue.
Alexis C — Google review
Seriously the best bakery in the area. I had chicken and leek pasty, cheese and onion slice, florentine and chocolate/rum ball. The pasty… the best I have ever tasted! I recently visited Cornwall and was excited to try local pasties but honestly… none of the Cornwall pasties reaches anywhere near deliciousness of Corfe Castle Pasties. If you feel like I am wrong, please tell me where they have better and I am happy to go, thy and review. The cheese and onion slice…ulala…rude how good it is. Florentine was lovely and crunchy. Only the rum and chocolate ball was not up to expectations. There is no rum. Maybe you should change name to chocolate ball. It’s disappointing if one expect punchy rum taste and nothing happens. Other than that, this place is definitely worth of visit with empty stomach.
Iva I — Google review
Lovely village bakery. We have been coming for years on our visits to Corfe Castle and Swanage. Food delicious and the best filled Cornish pasties I haver ever experienced ! The premises are very small - to be expected in an old period building but I do wish people would not bring their whole family of 6 inside when they have already decided what they all want outside! They could see that it was already packed inside! Not your fault but just a reflection on people and their immediate needs!
Paul Y — Google review
Avoid going here where possible. Never have I come across such miserable rude women. At 8:30 am the woman opened the door and my friend and I greeted her with good morning and a friendly smile. Her reply was."well it was". I looked at her and said oh it was lovely until you opened the door to your clients? And she nodded!!! They were miserable when serving and I witnessed them serving people behind me in the same manner. If they are the owners, then there is no hope. If they are Staff and you are the owner sack them! Thank goodness for tourists otherwise you'd be closed. As a relative local, I will make sure I never use this bakery again.

Nestled in the heart of Sussex, the Famous Hedgehog Bakery is a hidden gem for bread enthusiasts. Although their artisanal loaves are crafted miles away, they stand out for their exceptional quality and flavor that simply can't be matched. Visitors rave about the delightful experience at their bread-making workshops, where a warm welcome and knowledgeable staff create an inviting atmosphere. The authenticity of their wood-fired oven adds to the charm, producing breads that are not only delicious but also deeply satisfying.
I live in Sussex. This bread is baked many many miles away but I honestly can't find another to come anywhere near it in terms of quality and taste. Plain gorgeous and so satusfying.

Yesterday I Purchased a White Loaf of Bread from Waitrose 10/6/2021. Time 12.44 Baked by Hedgehog Bakery the bread was marked best before 12 06 21, Had i wished to make some bread crumbs it would have been perfect, it was dry and really unpleasant, the following morning i made some toast with it and it was so crisp it made fine crisp bread. That is the last time I buy bread from Waitrose, back to the Lobster Bakery Mudeford for me.

The most amazing day with Rachel doing a Masterclass in cupcake decorating, so patient, talented, and kind. Came away with a new skill and fell in love with buttercream flower decorating. The best teacher - will definitely be doing more in person and on line

We were lucky enough to book Rachel to make our wedding cake and cupcakes. From start to finish, Rachel was very accommodating and amazing with communication. The cakes were absolutely incredible and exactly what we wanted - they were so beautifully done and the best tasting cake we've ever had! Thanks again, Rachel ☺️

We cannot recommend Rachelles cake decorating classes enough. She welcomed us into her home and was a great teacher, showing patience, motivation and encouragement, allowing us group of girls to create the most incredible flower bouquets to take away! We got so many great tips, individual and group help and shown a wide variety of skills to take away and keep for life. This workshop is a really fun way to spend a morning or afternoon. The cakes and icing products are great quality too. Thankyou so much for having us Rachelle!

Unbelievably detailed cakes. We had a main cake and cup cakes for a 40th birthday and the cakes were a main talking point. They really were the most detailed cakes I've ever seen and everyone commented on them. They also tasted amazing which was great as I chose a lot of colour.

Caked Patisserie is a delightful haven for dessert lovers, specializing in creating bespoke dessert tables tailored to your unique events. From scrumptious cupcakes and elegant macarons to fluffy marshmallows, they offer an array of sweet treats that can be beautifully presented with hire items. One happy customer shared their experience of a stunning tropical-themed cake crafted for a 50th birthday celebration, highlighting the professionalism and creativity of Claire, who listened closely to their ideas.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Claire at Caked Patisserie! Claire created our stunning wedding cake back in June this year and we were over the moon with how it turned out. From initial outreach, to guidance with our design, as well as infinite patience with I'm sure my many silly questions, Claire was just wonderful to work with. Claire is obviously experienced and has a beautiful catalogue of work, her flavour choices are extensive with classics to more unusual flavours. We chose orange and elderflower, lemon and lavender, and black forest, and it was all devoured by us and our guests by the end of the night! We had some fresh fruit on our cake and when Claire had some trouble finding physalis, she went absolutely above and beyond to try and source it for us. Claire was lovely to chat to, very professional, and quick to reply to emails. I cannot recommend her enough. Claire, thank you for making all of our wedding cake dreams come true!
Lauren T — Google review
Claire was so lovely and helpful from start to finish, she replied quickly, did a video consultation and a couple of days later sent out the delicious tasters and a few design ideas. Claire set up the cake and decorated it with the flowers from the garden at the venue and did such a beautiful job. I would highly recommend caked
Tyra W — Google review
From initial contact, Claire at Caked Patisserie was professional and helpful when liaising with us. Our tasters were received quickly, tasted incredible and our consultation was clear and was really tailored to us. We also ordered more tasters as they all tasted so good! We were provided with sketches of potential options based off our consultation and communication with Claire was always faultless. Claire partnered with our florist (so we didn’t have to) to arrange the flowers. The cake was delivered and set up on time and looked and tasted amazing with great compliments from our guests. It was exactly as described in our consultation and I’m so pleased we chose Caked Patisserie for our wedding cake. If you are thinking of used Caked Patisserie for your wedding (or another occasion) I wouldn’t hesitate! If I could give higher than 5 stars, I would. Thank you again.
Danielle G — Google review
Caked Patisserie gave us everything we could have wanted and more for our wedding cake! Initially, we were uncertain about investing in a cake, but once we discovered Claire, it became clear that a wedding cake would be an unmissable decision! We loved the process of selecting our cake samples and receiving them through the post to make our final choice. Claire helped us design a cake that was personal and unique to us, expertly bringing our vision to life. She provided fantastic advice throughout the process, ensuring every detail was perfect. The cake turned out to be stunning and became such an exciting part of our day. We are so glad that we chose Caked Patisserie for our wedding cake and would highly recommend Claire to everyone!
Sophie — Google review
Having stumbled across Caked by chance on Instagram, I have been totally blown away by Claire's service in wedding cake planning. Claire was knowledgeable about different types of cakes and what would/wouldn't work with our set up, and even touched on weather conditions. She provided a delicious tasting selection pre-consultation and several designs post-consultation, was flexible with design changes, informative about flowers usage and transparent about her pricing. The 5-tier cake looked stunning on the day, tasted delicious and we received plenty of compliments. Could not recommend Claire enough - huge thanks!
Lydia S — Google review
Claire did an amazing job with my wife's birthday cake for her 40th. Exceeded my expectations and my wife was chuffed to bits with it. Delivery was spot on as well with great communication from Claire. Will definitely be using Caked again for future cakes.

I was absolutely delighted with the bespoke tropical themed Cake designed and baked for my Caribbean-themed 50th Birthday party by Caked Patisserie. Claire was professional, friendly and listened to my ideas, creating together a delicous beautiful cake with three different flavours, bespoke ombré buttercream icing and tropical flowers. It was absolutely delicious with plenty of portions to eat at the venue and guests to take home. I appreciated delivery to the venue to make everything stress-free. Highly recommended Claire for special occasion cakes!
Jacqueline A — Google review
Claire did the cake for our wedding cake in September 2019 and it was absolutely incredible. We went for a tasting in the summer and all the flavours were delicious. Wedding cake has a bit of a reputation for looking great but tasting awful and that was definitely NOT the case with Claire. Each layer we chose was a different flavour and decorated immaculately! I feel like I should also point out that the flowers on the cake were not real. They were all made from Claire's insane sugar flower work. We honestly couldn't have been happier with the finished result and all of our guests said it looked and tasted amazing. If you're looking for a beautiful and fully bespoke wedding cake I would call Claire and I'm definitely going to be recommending her to everyone we know who gets married.

The best bread you can imagine. We buy it at Cerne Abbas Village Stores. Malt, wholemeal, granary, sourdough - all absolutely wonderful!

Wow , what a trip back in time.Pure nostalgia, a trip down memory lane when bakers were bakers. The smell of freshly baked goods was enticing. Bought their dorset apple cake which was without doubt the best I have tasted. Will be back for more and now my go to place for heavenly tasting bread and cake. Thank you.

Really lovely bakery. Incredible smell as you walk by and lots on offer to choose from (we've tried the pasties and the bread). To top it off the staff are very helpful and friendly - would definitely recommend paired with some local butter!

Bread great. Jan doughnuts good, and iced bun good. Only one croissant left two minutes after they had opened, which seemed rather odd. Opened at 9am, although their web site said 8am, and owner clearly had no plans to correct this when I mentioned it to him. We will return for more of the bread, though!

We couldn't have been happier with our wedding cake experience! The service from Penelope was truly wonderful from start to finish, capturing our ideas perfectly, translating our vision into beautiful initial designs that exceeded our expectations. On the big day, we were blown away by the stunning cake – it was a true work of art that became a centerpiece of our reception. But the beauty wasn't just skin deep – the cake was absolutely delicious, with guests saying how amazing the flavours were. Penelope delivered on both style and substance, making our wedding day even more special.
Louis R — Google review
My husband and I had Penelope make our wedding cake, it was absolutely gorgeous. From the design being everything we wanted it to look like to the fact she even included our dog taking a bite out of the cake. The cakes themselves were so tasty and we are so glad we have the top layer to ourselves. Everyone was also obsessed with it especially the sugar lily. Thank you so much for our cake. - Mr & Mrs Dance

We met Penelope at the Larmer Tree wedding fayre where we immediately fell in love with the delicious cake on offer. We ordered some tasters to our home and were spoilt for choice. We found it almost impossible to choose the flavours for our wedding cake as they were all delicious. After much deliberation we decided to go for a 3 tier cake with vanilla and malt, chocolate orange fudge and milk chocolate praline layers. We had a great video call with Penelope where she helped us get the design and look narrowed down. We wanted to have a bit of a Cornish theme cut into the side of the cake, which was no problem for Penelope. She sent us great drawings and we chose the design we liked. The cake was an absolute triumph. The guests absolutely loved it and couldn’t get enough. Everyone told us how delicious it was and were blown away by the 3 different flavours. They loved it so much they asked for more pieces to be cut. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what we wanted. We are already thinking of excuses to celebrate something so we can order Cocoa and Whey cake. We will definitely be returning customers. Thank you again Penelope!

Our cake was perfect!! It was the most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen and it was exactly what we wanted. It was also genuinely the nicest cake I’ve ever tasted in my life. We had three different flavours for each tier, my personal favourite was the passion fruit and white chocolate. We highly recommend Cocoa and Whey! Mr and Mrs Smith x

Penelope made our wedding cake for our May wedding this year (2024) and we chose her raspberry and champagne and chocolate and vanilla flavours for our three tier case. Honestly the most delicious cake I have ever eaten it blew us away and all of our guests. It also looked absolutely stunning. Penelope has been lovely to work with is super calm and very organised. I would highly recommend couples choose Cocoa and Whey for their wedding cake, all of Penelope's flavours are absolutely dreamy. She also liaised with our venue for setup and decoration etc as well as our florist which made things very easy for us. Thank you Penelope, you are simply amazing and a star wedding supplier.
Anna E — Google review
We could not have picked a better wedding cake supplier for our wedding. Penelope was fantastic at communicating from start to finish and understood our vision for the cake exactly. Not only did the cake look stunning but the taste was truly spectacular. We had three layers: lemon and raspberry, lime and coconut and chocolate orange fudge. They were all delicious flavours and we have received so many compliments about how tasty the cake was. Our only regret is not to be able to have eaten more of the cake ourselves because it got eaten so quickly!
Eleanor D — Google review
Penelope created the cake for our wedding day. From the first time we spoke, she completely understood our vision for the cake and this shone through in the sketches she provided for us. The cake itself was perfectly set up, and Penelope worked with our florist to create a wreath of foliage and forget-me-nots for the cake to stand on. It was simple and elegant, exactly as we imagined, and absolutely delicious. We’d recommend Penelope to anyone looking for a cake maker for their wedding.
A S — Google review
We ordered our wedding cake from Cocoa and Whey after doing some research online, and oh my goodness, words cannot describe how absolutely blown away we were by it!! It was an absolutely stunning presentation, and the flavours were just incredible! Penelope worked with us to design the cake of our dreams, and we could not have imagined a better cake. We had so many compliments on it! We really lucked out finding Penelope, and will be recommending her to everyone we know. There were a handful of people at our wedding in the process of planning their own weddings, that were already asking where we got our cake so they could book the same! We wholeheartedly recommend Cocoa and Whey to any and everyone needing a cake for any occasion. And she’s an absolute doll to work with to top it off!

The Diamond Baker is a bakery that specializes in intricate and beautiful cakes. From traditional models like birthday cakes to more modern flavors like red velvet, the shop has something for everyone. The decor is chic and stylish, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their products.
We hired Tash to make our wedding cake for us and I couldn’t fault a single part of the process. Tash is friendly and helpful, always made sure to keep us up to date and that we were happy at every stage of the planning. The taster boxes were amazing and there was such a variety of flavours to try (they were all amazing and I would have had a tier of each flavour if I could have!). The cake on the actual day was perfect, looked just like we envisioned and just like the design Tash drew. It tasted amazing - confirmed by the fact that we only had a few slices left after the wedding reception! Cannot recommend Tash enough - a lovely person and an amazing baker ♥️

Thank you so much to Tasha & Lyn for making our wedding cake. From the start Tasha has been fantastic, responding quickly to emails, keeping us up to date, giving lots of helpful advice & designing such a beautiful cake. Our cake tasted amazing and there were lots of options to chose from. We also had one tier gluten free which tasted so good! We also hired a beautiful log stand which was made by Tasha’s husband. Amazing service, highly recommend! Thank you all again.

Tash made us our dream cake for our Mediterranean themed wedding day. From our initial correspondence up until the day itself, Tash worked so well with us to make the cake of our dreams. She took the time to discuss with us our vision and then created a beautiful design that was better than we even imagined. The cake itself was so delicious and we especially loved the cherry Bakewell tier and so did our guests, every slice was gone. We recommend Tash to any couple who are looking for a showstopper cake on their special day. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you Tash 😊
Elise W — Google review
Tasha was so welcoming and friendly. She made the most amazing wedding cake. Gluten and lactose free. Let’s just say that there was no cake left at the end of the night. Best cake I’ve ever had. Will be ordering from her for family events again. Thanks Tasha.

I would highly recommend Tash to anyone who wants a cake that’s tastes as incredible as it looks. Tash made us the most beautiful wedding cake that matched our wedding invites beautifully, it really did look too good to eat, and really was a piece of art. The flavours Tash has to offer are all delicious, we ended up choosing 4 of them for our cake. The tasting box she creates for you is beautiful, and was so lovely to try all the flavours she has to offer. Nothing was too much to ask and Tash made the whole process super fun and easy. Such a kind person who went the extra mile for us. Thankyou Tash, we loved having you create our wedding cake.

Bought some of Jessicas Cakes & biscuits in a farm shop. They were absolutely delicious. I had a Cherry & Coconut cake ,a fruit cake and 4 packets of scrumptious biscuits. They are perfect for any occasion, Weddings, Funerals, Parties , Perfect for cafes to serve with beverages. We just had ours for a teatime treat! Excellent recipes & excellent Value for money!
Sugarnspice52 — Google review
I bought a chocolate biscuit slice the other day at a small deli near my office. The description seemed enticing and for a reasonable price, I bought it in addition to my tuna and cheese baked potato (no mayo). Upon opening the packaging I found the cake crumblier than I anticipated, but took a bite none the less. There are no words to describe how disappointed I was with both flavor and texture. Even writing this is forcing me to relive it in my mind. How it can be both dry and soft at the same time is beyond me, but the most disappointing thing was yet to come . . . . As I neared the end of this dreadful mouthful, it became apparent that I would need some water to clear my throat as the bits of nuts and biscuit were catching, making cough. Would I buy a Jessica's cake again? Probably not.

Georgina made the most incredible wedding cake for us in June. From the moment we enquired with Georgina her communication was amazing, we picked up our samples from her lovely shop. There was a great choice of sample flavours to choose from, to be honest they all tasted amazing! We went for Raspberry & White chocolate, Lemon, Coffee & Walnut and Biscoff, every flavour of our wedding cake was delicious. We gave Georgina the brief of what we hoped our cake could look like, and it was even better than the photo we sent. We had and are still having compliments on the beauty and taste of our cake. Georgina also had a lovely selection of cake stands and knives that she lent us for the day, free of charge. Thank you so much Georgina!

The cakes like passionfruit raspberry and white chocolate, hummingbird cake, and blondie with blueberry are soft, moist, and full of flavor. Lush cake, good food and good tea. What more can a cake shop offer? Warning - cake slices are not only really nice, they're really big. Service has varied from amazing to ok. Certainly back again. What an absolute delight it was to have lunch here on a Saturday afternoon after a long hike nearby. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Had a specials board sourdough toastie that came with a delicious salad. Finished with the most scrummy raspberry and coconut cake. There’s also some nice food bits for sale on the side. Coffee is tasty and very good quality. You won’t find a better place for cake freshness and choice in probably all of england!! I will make it my duty to return if I’m ever in the area again. You can book a table in advance which I’d recommend as this place is super popular.

The Barn Cafe offers a lovely and bustling atmosphere with friendly staff and a variety of breakfast options. The full English breakfast is satisfying, and the cafe provides a relaxed, family-friendly vibe with ample indoor and outdoor seating. The food is delicious with generous portions, including great scones, making it reasonably priced for the value. It's an ideal place to enjoy a tranquil catch-up over cream tea in a well-kept environment with free parking.
What a joy to find an amazing tea menu including a choice of decaf teas - I had Kenya Decaf. Best of all, a large array of gluten-free cakes and melt in the mouth GF Brownie (Caramel Salted) I've ever had! Wish it was nearer, it would become a regular haunt. Service superb, ambiance quirky with charming use of parasols suspended from the ceiling and little boutique type shops too. Great way to start my holiday break.

Visited for lunch today and arrived just before 12pm, the place was already buzzing! Despite how busy it was, the hostess was very helpful and managed to get us a lovely table. Service started off a little slow, but we got our order in and I’m so glad I tried their meat quiche - it came highly recommended and definitely lived up to the praise. Absolutely delicious! Ordering a coffee after our meal was a bit tricky, as it took a while to get the staff's attention and then another wait for it to arrive. That said, all the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout, and it’s clear the café is popular for a reason. Looking forward to returning, and next time I’ll be sure to try one of the many amazing cakes they had on offer!✨🍰

Popped in for lunch on a weekend. Staff were very accomodating with our dog and super friendly. Decent menu and food presented beautifully, especially for the price! Our only issue was a distinct lack of chicken when we paid extra for it in a Caesar salad. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Food was reasonably priced, generously portioned, and high quality. Waiting staff were very friendly. Only reason for giving atmosphere 4 out of 5 is that the doorbell that goes off every time food is ready is very annoying 😂

We were looking for somewhere for breakfast as we were staying locally and found this little gem... Although we missed breakfast we had a lovely lunch instead... Service was good and our waitress was lovely and brought us a blanket as we sat outside as it was busy we sat outside... Great little place 👌

I been here many times for cake and coffeee…. However I can’t leave a review for food as still waiting after 45 minutes ordered a breakfast! Just arrived, is it worth the wait? Sliced bread and pre cooked poached eggs! Service wasn’t great either! Won’t be returning no apology for the wait and cost £30!!

A Delightful Afternoon Tea Experience We visited Frieda’s Tearoom for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with a delicious selection of sandwiches and cakes—each bite was so moreish and thoughtfully made. The tea itself was perfectly brewed and complemented the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. If we lived closer to Bournemouth, this would easily become our go-to spot for afternoon tea and catching up with friends. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was cozy and charming, with a welcoming feel that made us want to stay for hours. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Amazing 💕 The sandwiches were delicious, tasted very fresh. Perfect warm scones. Super soft, fluffy cakes😍 Strawberry milkshake also super delicious. It's such a pretty venue. We did just walk in but it was early, just as we were finishing up someone walked and was told there were no tables but they could get take away, some tables did have reserved on them so I'm guessing the get booked up in the afternoons. We will definitely be going back to try more of their menu. The team working were very friendly and accommodating.

I was so hungry when we arrived I completely forgot to take a picture of the breakfast before I started it. It was very oily (see the pictures attached). The bread was soaked in margarine so I ate the edges only. The baked beans were really mushy. It wasn't value for money as we spent over £40 for two oily English breakfast and coffees. I wouldn't expect to pay more than £5 each breakfast as it was such a greasy cafe breakfast instead of a high quality boutique breakfast. I would not recommend to go here.

The Horse With The Red Umbrella is a lovely cafe in Dorchester which serves delicious food and friendly service. It is great to see that they still serve takeaway food in these tough economic times, making it a convenient option for visitors to the town. The carrot cake was especially delicious and I'm sure I'll be back soon!

I have left a review where we were very dissapointed with the Eggs benedict, paying extra for the salmon. And would like to give you a photo of what should have been served...

What a lovely little cafe on the High Street. The staff were so friendly and falling over themselves to be welcoming and accommodating, cleaning and sanitising the table best distanced from other guests. The food was freshly prepared and delicious especially the home made gluten free carrot cake. We will certainly make it a regular stop.

Unpretentious cafe with good atmosphere and excellent, friendly service. Menu choice was huge with lots of specials. We popped in for breakfast and loved the make your own option, as someone who doesn't love bacon this was a treat! Service was especially good, friendly and quick but not rushed. Cakes looked amazing too.

We popped in here for a cooked breakfast whilst staying at the Sleeping Bear Hotel, just up the road. The café had an extensive and flexible menu and was a nice place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Service was great and the food was delivered quickly. Everything tasted good and the price was decent as well, setting us up nicely for a day exploring Dorset.

Lovely old fashioned tea house! The staff are lovely, the food is fantastic and it's a lovely quaint building. The prices are fair and great for what you get; fresh tasty food... My favourite Dorchester cake shop!

I was a bit dissapointed to be honest, we were just about to enter and was greated hastily, remanisant of a Majjorcan bar. We ordered Egg benedict with salmon x 2 plus a pot of tea for 2. We had customers climbing over us as it was tight seating. The cup and saucer served was dirty and changed immediatley, the tea was very good with hot water top up. But as for the Benedict, well, 1 overdone poached egg, should be 2 for the price, a white tastless sauce no cheese or chives, the salmon was sparse concidering we had to pay extra. Overall over priced for non quality ingredients.

Whenever I come down to Christchurch to visit my grandmother, I pass by Cuckoos to buy their takeaway cream tea sets so I can have tea with her. Oh my goodness what an incredible place! Amazingly friendly staff and the BEST breakfast and coffee we’ve had in a long time. We tried the cuckoos breakfast and the big Scottish breakfast. Woweeeeeeeee. Absolutely scrummy. The girls were so welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you 🤩

A table is reserved, which we like but no time showing when the reservation is for. And old gentleman popped in and the reserved seat was offered to him, but he didn't take it. We were sitting behind the door. So, it's not the best experience. The flatwhite coffee was disappointing and doesn't feel like double shots. Foods average.

We’ve been a few times for breakfast and always amazing food. You wouldn’t leave hungry. High quality food and really substantial portion sizes. It’s great to have a different choice for breakfast. We’ve tried Spanish eggs, Scottish breakfast and avocado on toast. All delicious!

Well, this was a surprise and a pleasant one to boot. This is a golden nugget in Christchurch. The tea we had was very good and the cake my wife had was lovely. Everywhere else we tried had teeny tiny tray bake cakes "one bite and it is gone" but Cuckoo's have proper cake slices. And I found it very good value for money.
Bryan D — Google review
Really not what it once was. Unsure if it has changed hands but the quality of the food was nothing like it used to be. Staff were friendly enough but didn’t get the order correct despite it being reconfirmed and some of the food was inedible. You know when the mushrooms have gone a bit soft but you cook them anyway and then regret it? I don’t expect to pay for a breakfast and get served old mushrooms. We’ve been coming here for years now and this is the 2nd time recently it’s been below par. I hate to leave a negative review but it’s just dropped in quality so much and needs to up its game and perhaps move with the times. A veggie sausage wouldn’t be so difficult would it? Good luck I hope you can get back on track x

I stopped by on a lovely sunny September afternoon and had a cream tea in the garden. This is a great spot, I received a warm welcome and the cream tea was everything it should be. I would certainly recommend a visit.
Alan R — Google review
Tea room in the tourist hot-spot of Cerne Abbas. Park on the street nearby, if you can. The garden is not wheelchair accessible with many steps, even using the back gate onto the lane. Small room indoors, dogs not allowed. Gardens are pleasant and there is good shelter at two double table spaces under a perspex roof. Dogs are allowed in the garden. The garden is very peaceful (it was empty when we visited, I expect it's noisy on a warm and sunny weekend). We had sandwiches which come with crisps and a side salad. Not overly huge but very generously filled. Very tasty and the tea and coffee were good too. The prices are as you'd expect in a popular place, in these times of rising prices everywhere, £7.50-£9 for a sandwich so with a cup of tea that's more than a tenner each. You can have a baked potato at the same cost, with similar fillings. We came here many years ago and it feels largely unchanged, the staff are friendly and service was prompt.

Flirt Cafe Bar is a vibrant and quirky eatery located in the Triangle area, known for its colorful furniture and art. The cafe offers a unique ambiance that attracts trendy locals and is dog-friendly, making it a popular hangout spot. The menu features eccentric specialties such as bubble tea and the indulgent Sexy OMG hot chocolate, made with various delicious ingredients. The cafe's interior is adorned with kitschy decor, including vintage lamps and eclectic artwork.
Is this the best cafe/bar in Bournemouth? Although we were staying in a hotel that does a very nice breakfast,we prefer to eat later without getting up too early. Just a short walk through town and up to the Triangle. The interior is bright and possibly a little camp. Think pink & neon and maybe a flamingo lurking somewhere with a bit a glam. There's wooden table's & chairs, as well as comfy sofas to sink into. It's a very friendly and welcoming space. You can just have a coffee,or choose from an array of freshly prepared food. Whatever side of the fence you are, gluten free, veggie, vegan, they cater to all tastes. But we're not any of those. An all day breakfast is what we are craving. As you enter, find an available seat to settle into and place your order at the counter. This can be difficult at times,as it's a very sort after spot. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order and arrives at the table in no-time. The highlight has got to be the very tasty sausages. At £9.25,it's quite good value. In fact all their prices are very reasonable for the quality and service. In the evening they have different events as well. Our only problem is,when we bring our boys, that's doggies. We can't get out of the place. As so many people want to say hello to them. This is truly the friendliest and best cafe in Bournemouth where everyone is welcome. Oh,and our boys love all the attention.

Come here a few times now and the food is always incredible and as far as prices in Bournemouth go, very affordable considering it’s an independent place and food is cooked fresh. I spent the afternoon at Flirt today. I was looking for a LGBTQIA+ safe space with a relaxing atmosphere so I could enjoy reading my book for a few hours. The staff were most friendly, who made sure I was ok, and don't mind a chat. Honestly, they couldn't have been more helpful and made me feel relaxed. Besides a couple of cups of tea, I ordered lunch. A chicken and bacon wrap, which was huge and so tasty. There was nothing I could fault with Flirt, and the next time I'm down in the south of England, I will be sure to visit.😘

Popped in on the spur of the moment from a recommendation from last in card factory. Lovely little cafe, feels really pleasant and friendly. No wait for a table and menu was surprisingly comprehensive & loads of things my partner (non meat eater) and me ( eat anything (as long as it has legs or fins) could have. Always receive a warm and friendly welcome from the very attentive staff. We ordered the Cheese Toastie, that oozed with melted cheese and the New York Deli Toastie packed full of flavour, both were served with a honey glazed side salad, proper salad lettuce, not the usual pile of limp rocket leaves, delicious. On previous occasions we have just had coffee with a good sized slice of scrumptious cake. Unfortunately, the soup had sold out and they were unable to make any amendments to the toasties, so we both had sausage rolls, which were fine for the price point, although we overheard the staff talking about how dense they were and struggling to fully cook them through, which was a bit off putting. I was a bit disappointed as a lady came in later and was allowed to have cheese on toast, despite this not being on the menu. I would have preferred to have this if I'd known it was an option.

Phenomenal food! Every baked good—from the sourdough to the crinkle cookies and croissants—is absolutely outstanding. If you're someone who appreciates light, flaky, and perfectly sweet croissants, this place will feel like heaven. I don’t quite understand the complaints about pricing. When you consider what chains like Starbucks charge for mass-produced baked goods—often lacking in both flavor and quality—the prices here seem entirely fair. At Ms, everything is handmade with care and consistency, which you can see!! There’s real craftsmanship and effort behind the scenes to maintain this high standard every day. In that context, ~£5 for a croissant or pastry of this caliber feels more than reasonable. Yes, £5 is money, but chances are we all pay more for parking places these days. It should be a reminder that quality matters more than quantity. I’d much rather treat myself to something truly well-made and support an independent bakery than settle for a dozen mediocre, mass-produced alternatives. I love your work and will never stop shopping at yours! Keep up your great work and charge the sum that keeps your business running - anything else would be a real shame and loss for anyone who enjoys going to Ms. Rant over ❤️

I love this bakery! Real bread and artisan pastries. The staff know my order when I come in! This is real food made with skill. I don’t think it’s overpriced. You are paying for quality and it my weekly treat. I will always come here - it’s the best. You could waste your money on many other bad quality products! Come here and then go eat it on the beach - that is the best way to live! Enjoy it.

Based on my experience, there is no denying that the pastries at M's are lovely and the coffee is also pretty good!! However, with single pastry items priced at £4-£5+, two pastries and two coffees can cost almost £20 which is simply too much for a lot of people. (These prices could potentially be justified if there was an interior sit down area to enjoy the goods in—which is not the case here.) If prices were a bit more reasonable this would be the perfect bakery! I'll continue to enjoy M's, but unfortunately for most of us visits will have to be sporadic!

I'd heard a lot about this place so I was keen to taste their produce. I bought a pastry with custard & Berry filling, this cost me over £4 for just 1! while I'm happy to pay more for a cake from an independent bakery, and this place bakes on the premises, I do feel that the price at M's for a cake was way over-priced. The pastry I bought tasted nice but in my opinion it definitely wasn't worth the price & I would not buy here again. A slice of cheesecake was over £5 Too!! I would expect to pay no more than £3 for a pastry & maybe £3.50/£4.00 for a slice of cheesecake etc.

I recently purchased a poppy seed cake (makowiec) from this bakery, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious! As someone from Poland, where makowiec is a traditional holiday dessert, I can confidently say this was the best I’ve ever tasted. The perfect balance of sweetness and moist texture made it truly exceptional. I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, and their other baked goods are equally amazing. I especially appreciate their sourdough bread, which is always fresh and full of flavor, and their sweet pastries that never fail to impress. If you’re looking for the perfect makowiec for the holidays—or just a delightful treat—I wholeheartedly recommend this bakery. They truly know how to deliver quality and taste!

Feed The Soul is a health food restaurant that offers delicious and nutritious cuisine. The setting is beautiful, clean, and inviting, with friendly staff who go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience. All of the ingredients are quality assured, and there is no compromise in their high standards. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something special!
A cosy cafe on a quiet out of the way country road with ample parking. We were greeted by Nick, very friendly and well informed on the menu's fresh & tastey items. . Our hot drinks were perfect on this rainy day. The Golden Milk was mild and soothing, the Hot Chocolate was creamy and chocolatey - yummy. The brunch items were amazing, with incredible blends of flavour, texture and visual appeal which made our mouths water. We were not disappointed. It was a filling brunch, and we couldn't resist dessert to take home... More to enjoy later. We highly recommend Feed The Soul - a wonderful dining experience with great value.

Been a couple times and quickly becoming my favourite cafe. Vegan and vegetarian menu. All home made and home cooked food which is tasty and good value for the ingredients used. The vegan cheese cakes are amazing and a must try item! The only thing I have tried but not enjoyed so much was the sticky chai latter which for me was quite powdery/grainy texture which made me want to cough. Sometimes service can be a little slower when busy but this is understandable as often only 2/3 staff working at a time. Lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere

Really great find. 6* atmosphere: super friendly people (plus labrador greeter Poppy). This felt more like popping into someone's big farmhouse kitchen for brunch than going to eat out. Food was so great I forgot to photo it, just fell on it like a lioness. Delicious avo and eggs and a creamy veggie bean casserole, plus superlative coffee (and I'm pretty snooty about coffee). All with a seventies 6soundtrack, on vinyl.

I love everything about this place. Tucked away in the countryside in what feels like the middle of nowhere, the place itself is understated, beautifully peaceful and unless you already knew about it, you'd drive straight past. But I think that's part of the charm and even gives it an air of exclusivity! The food is incredible and you can taste the goodness in every carefully prepared mouthful. This was my second visit. This time I took my mum and sister for their first visit, who said they'll be introducing people they know to Feed the Soul too. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Was feeling thirsty on the way home and popped in for a cuppa and was glad we did. We were warmly greeted and then helped us with our selection of cake and we went for the cake slices and they were lovely, you can tell they were home made as you can see the love and attention to the ingredients and looks..... We'll be back 🙂👍

Oh my DAYS 🤩 so much love for this place. It would be easy to drive past the entrance, so something to watch out for. The staff are all super friendly & accommodating. Small shop attached which sells lots of local & health foods. Be sure to use the bathroom that has an array of hand creams and sprays. On the staff recommendation I have the Indian waffles for breakfast. It was everything I could ever have wanted. The mushroom coffee was earthy & calming. The space was relaxing, light & airy. A chicken made a break for it into the cafe which just added to the experience! Have had take away ☕️ before when their barista Sean was there - insanely smooth coffee.

Ann and I come most weekends and can’t fault anything about the place. The friendly welcome, food and coffee is to die for. When we get the chance too, we always bring visiting friends and family. Keep up the good work guys. 🫶🏼
