Bakery
Toffino's Italian Bakery Deli Pizzeria is a popular spot in Myrtle Beach, known for its delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The menu features a variety of items including breakfast sandwiches, soups, salads, hoagies, and fresh pizzas. However, the bakery is particularly famous for its authentic Italian desserts, breads, and pastries that have been made using the same recipes since 1890.
Everything on the menu was delicious and well made. There were endless options, and even though they don’t serve pastas until after 4pm we were all able to find something good to eat. We loved that they sold pizza by the slice (only $3 for cheese and $3.50 for pepperoni). After lunch on the patio, we made our way inside to select some Italian pastries to take with us. Highly recommend the chocolate mousse cake and the fried raviolis.

8 minutes from airport. Stopped after picking up my up sister. No trouble parking. We beat the crowd at 6:00. Sat inside b/c it was chilly. Brisk business Filled up quick. Server was hustling but had difficult time clearing out plates & refilling drinks. Desserts (cannoli & chocolate mousse roll) tasted & looked homemade. Pizza crust was crispy & had great flavor. We got a veggie pizza and added pepperoni. Chicken parmigiana was good. Side of meatball & sauce excellent!

This place is stupid good! Not just for the beach, it could be a top joint in south jersey or NYC. The staff is amazing, ready to serve up whatever you need. The food is absolutely top notch! And the bakery, well you won't do better unless you drive to Hoboken and see Buddy himself! Prices are more than reasonable. If you want a phenomenal sub or pizza or some mind blowing baked goods, THIS IS THE SPOT!!!

Writing this review while we’re sitting in the restaurant. Our server was so sweet and fast, very accommodating with the pastries and all the questions we had. The sweet tea is the best I’ve had since we’ve been in South Carolina. Pizza is fantastic, I wish this place was in Georgia!
Katherine S — Google review
This was my first visit—and without question, my last. The menu initially caught our attention, so we decided to give it a try. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, which was perfectly reasonable for a busy day. However, what followed was disappointing on several levels. After placing our order, it took another 35 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time, I couldn’t help but notice that several tables seated after us—many of whom were older and more formally dressed—were receiving their meals well before us. The contrast in treatment was hard to ignore. Our server made no effort to check on us and appeared to actively avoid our table, rushing past without so much as a glance. Unfortunately, the experience felt steeped in classism, if not outright discrimination. It was disheartening to feel so blatantly disregarded. As for the food, it certainly didn’t redeem the experience. The cheese sticks were overpriced for what they offered. My chicken caprese was dry and underwhelming, though my husband’s deli sandwich fared slightly better. The desserts were, frankly, a letdown—dry and lacking flavor. Not even made in house. The one bright spot was the pizza we took to go, which turned out to be the best thing we had. Overall, it was a deeply disappointing visit, not just for the subpar food but for the way we were made to feel. Dining out should never come with the weight of wondering whether you’re being judged by your appearance.
Ely F — Google review
This is a great place whether you want lunch, dinner or something sweet 😋 - you won't be disappointed. Theresa was our waitress, and as busy as she was, she was amazing. The only reason for 4 * on the atmosphere is because inside dining is at premium - outside is abundant. My recommendation - the amaretto cake - omg.
Lisa G — Google review
Great place to stop for some italian made food desserts! Place is located in a nice market area, outdoor and indoor dining available. Lots of dessert options to choose from. Food made to order and service was great. A must stop

Great place here in market common. If you want true southern charm from a waitress head in and ask for Chasitie. Got chicken Alfredo to go after I sat there and ate my actual meal. The bread that comes with it is fresh and amazing.

Bakery
Cupcake shop
Nestled in the heart of Charleston, South Carolina, Sugar Bakeshop is a charming and cozy bakery that has been delighting locals and visitors since 2007. The bakery's quaint beige, white, and Robin's egg blue exterior stands out among the surrounding residential buildings and businesses on Cannon Street. Known for its community-oriented approach, Sugar Bakeshop prioritizes sourcing ingredients locally, including farm-fresh eggs and herbs from an on-site garden plot.
Listen, I am a SUCKER for a good cupcake, and boy, was this place it! They had a ton of flavor options, gluten-free options, dog treats, brownies, and more! They were so moist, and we loved it so much we went twice while we were here! My dog absolutely loved their dog treats, and they are all natural as well. The staff was so friendly, and I want to say she was the owner, was an absolute sweetheart! Will be coming back every trip to Charleston that we make!
Whitney B — Google review
Cookies get 4-5 stars. Cupcakes get 2 stars. The cake portion of the cupcakes lacked moisture...very dry overall. Icing was overly sweet on each. We visited on Monday morning shortly after they opened. They are closed on Sundays. The cakes just seemed too dry to have been baked that morning as they have claimed their responses to other reviews. If they were indeed baked that morning, then maybe overcooked??? Regardless, flavors need improvement. We tried 4 separate cupcake flavors. The vanilla blueberry was bland. The only thing that tasted anything remotely of blueberry on that cupcake were the actual blueberries on top. They sadly were the best part of that cupcake. The chocolate cake cupcake with vanilla icing tasted minimally of chocolate and lacked so much flavor. I just expected a deep, rich chocolate flavor, but it was just bland and dry. The lemon curd and carrot cake cupcakes had better flavors overall, but the icing was just overly sweet and cakes still dry overall. The cupcakes were pretty but just were not worth $4 each, and we overall expected much better for the price. The cookies were chewy and much better overall than the cupcakes. We had a ginger molasses cookie and an oatmeal raisin cookie. There could have been much more ginger in the ginger molasses, but it was still overall a decent cookie. The cookies were large in size and seemed to actually be worth their cost. The person who helped us seemed very pleasant. The store was clean. But, I'd rather spend my money on better desserts elsewhere.

WOW… love this small cute bakery on a side street of downtown Charleston!!! I did a Google search and found Sugar Bakery had very good reviews.. I had a custom mini wedding cake made for my son’s weddings in Kiawah Island. I ordered a confetti cake with strawberry jam filling with white frosting & I decorated the rest with a figurine & flowers. The cake was absolutely delicious! We also bought a dozen cupcakes , trying seasonal flavors, classics , and a few gluten free. They did not disappoint , the lavender was probably a favorite! Next time I visit Charleston I will be sure to go back !

Cute little bakery. Purchased a few cupcakes to try. Never heard of a hummingbird cake, supposed to have banana, walnut and pineapple, but I think I got a unmixed one, or maybe it's all blended because I don't think I had any of those pieces. Frosting was nice though. Also purchased a Lime curd, Lemon curd, and pinata surprise. Lime and Lemon were very tart, which would've been alright by itself but the frosting was soo sweet. I guess it's to try to balance them out, but it feels more like it's just overwhelming. Pinata surprise was just a cake with sprinkles, but the frosting was good. Also got a blueberry muffin and a Pecan Chewy. Blueberry was nice, bit more moist than the cupcakes it felt like. But the chewy really good. Would recommend.

The cookies were amazing. Crunchy outside but soft and chewy inside. So good! Gluten free choc chip cookie definitely didn’t taste GF. The double chocolate also great but pretty decadent as expected

This place has the Charleston Sweet Charm. I like to go on our way to the aquarium for a special kid treat. They also have delicious coffee. We love their cookies and cupcakes! It is so quaint and sweet. They are so thoughtful, they have a great selection of candles for birthday cakes. The staff are knowledgeable and take humble pride in their work. I have been here a few times and always enjoy the experience. We will be back and I recommend you give them a try.

DELICIOUS CAKES!! We had three Sugar Bakeshop cakes at our wedding: the double chocolate, vanilla blueberry, and raspberry lemon. Our guests were raving about the cakes with many even going for seconds. Placing an advance order and day-of pick up was incredibly easy. Thank you!!

Went to Charleston for moms birthday. After reading reviews I decided to try Sugar. I was not disappointed. This shop gets 4 stars on the smell alone. The cake was so delicious I even froze the leftovers. Couldn’t bear to waste it. Super friendly staff. Worth every penny.

Delicious! The interior is pretty, the terrace seating is great, and the food isn’t too salty—everything tastes amazing. The banana French toast wasn’t too sweet and tasted good. Highly recommend the chicken salad croissant sandwich!! Too bad I couldn’t have coffee for health reasons. 100% coming back. Visited for brunch on Monday, 9/1/2025. 오믈렛은 안짠데 너무 건강한맛ㅋ 공휴일엔 예약하기

Had a lovely time at Croissants!! The food was delicious and reasonably priced despite aesthetically being an upscale cafe. The fried green tomato and pimento cheese grilled cheese was great (I added bacon, very worth it) and you should definitely pair it with their tomato soup! My fiance got the chicken and waffles and was very delighted, I swear it disappeared after looking away for two seconds haha. I also had early grey tea and they serve it in a very cute setup with a drawstring tea bag for the loose leaves. Our server, Sharon A, was also an absolute sweetheart!! She had asked if we were celebrating anything and we actually just got recently engaged (like literally a day ago) and so we got a little celebratory cupcake 🥺❤️ Highly recommend coming here to enjoy a yummy meal and cute date!

Extremely well done breakfast spot a little up the road from main Myrtle beach but 💯 worth it!! Everything was top notch from the delicious smoothies, amazing breakfast choices and pastries to take home for later! We had the Croque Madame and the Original Benny and they were out of this world. Atmosphere was upscale and very clean and the service was top notch. Highly recommend
Mark P — Google review
The food was great and the service was excellent! They also have a nice selection of dessert items to pick from at a separate counter at the entrance which is nice touch and a bit different from other restaurants in the area. We will definitely stop by for both next year.

This visit we just stopped for some takeout desserts. The red velvet cake and the Keylime pie slices are amazing. Previous visits were for brunch. Always delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive.
Chris W — Google review
We stopped in for breakfast after being told the wait would be about 15 minutes — it ended up being closer to 35. Once we were finally seated, it also took quite a while before a waiter came over to take our order. The food itself was fine, and the complimentary mini pumpkin muffins were a nice touch, but the long wait and slow service definitely took away from the experience. Hopefully they can improve their timing because the place has potential.

We sat outside which was perfect weather for it. Our waitress was very nice and recommended a few must try dishes. The drinks never ran dry. The food came out hot and fresh. They also give you the seasonal complementary tiny muffins.

Welcoming store in a quaint old light blue house on a side street in Charleston specializing in making chocolates and pastries. Worth the experience alone!

I've been in Charleston a long time and never knew about this place until recently. Wow! Located between Meeting and King Streets on Society, the pastries, the chocolates, everything here is delicious and just as good, priced right! From the little cakes of mousse to the chocolates you will not be disappointed in the taste. No doubt this place will be responsible for ten of my pounds at some point, LOL!

The chocolate was pricey but worth it. I like the pistachio and orange chocolates so far. I will be back to try more. Sorry we are it before I thought about posting it.

The chocolates and macaroons were beautiful, and the employees were lovely. I try and find good macaroons whenever I travel, so I was really excited about these, and the presentation in the packaging was absolutely beautiful… but they fell short flavor wise. All the fruit flavored ones tasted overpoweringly artificial. The other flavors, like the chocolate and the salted Carmel were absolutely delicious!

This was a unique find. I can’t imagine there being a better dessert place in the city. Our server, Sonny, was simply amazing and had great suggestions and a charming smile. There is a sign hanging up that says that the USA Today newspaper says it’s the best milkshake in South Carolina and we think we might agree. It was an incredible chocolate milkshake. We also got the mixed berry cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream which just melted in your mouth. We weren’t even hungry when we came in and we finished both. The atmosphere has got a bar-like feel with very cool vibes but it’s all desserts. This is a unique place right next door to the market that you need to check out.

Party of 4 walked in to escape a little rain and to grab refreshments. Skyler was our server and she was on point! Her attitude was upbeat and her recommendations were no different. I had one of the old fashioned cocktails and it was great and had a little spin on it. I would definitely recommend this drink if you visit. My partner and my sister both ordered espresso martinis that were really good and Skyler recommended another martini which I believe was a mocha-tini and it was fantastic and she recommended the curious George to my partner which she also really enjoyed. My nephew got a chocolate kids shake with Oreo and he absolutely killed it in no time. We also got a slice of the red velvet cake to share and I tried the gluten free chocolate cake and they were both SO good! Not too rich- not overly sweet and the perfect moistness. I often recommend Kaminskys to people and will continue to do so.

5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The dessert I bought was exceptional! I typically don’t like coconut but this one was very good! Good crust, good taste, and not too sweet. Give the coconut cream pie a try. 2. Nice folks that work here:) 3. Relatively cheap for a good size pie 4. Many variety of desserts! 5. The decor and ambiance is pretty chill.

Stopped by a dessert shop and tried their three-layer chocolate cake. Rich, decadent, and absolutely worth the hype. Each layer delivered a deep cocoa flavor with just the right level of sweetness. The frosting was smooth and velvety without overpowering the cake itself. This place clearly has a following, and it’s easy to see why. Whether you’re a chocolate lover or just craving something indulgent, this slice hits the mark.

This is literally my favorite brunch restaurant in Myrtle Beach. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is beyond compare and the food is ridiculously good. We all tried different items, and we were all thrilled with the taste, portion size and quality. Free homebaked mini muffins before the meal were a nice surprise. I loved the Lavender Cappucino I had, and the Fried Green Tomatoes were out of this world. Everyone else loved their choices and we will definitely be back soon!

Beautiful place with amazing food. I loved their ambiance and the hospitality is unmatched. The food was fresh and plentiful. The wait time to be seated or to receive food was minimal (5 minutes for seating, 15 minutes or less for food). Close to the resort (Sheraton). I believe this is a French inspired bistro which the breakfast was definitely yummy. The pricing was very reasonable. They were open beyond the 2pm cut off time for breakfast/brunch, which was great. Definitely give this place a try if in the area.

The food/coffee was delicious and the service was amazing, complimentary fresh baked mini muffins were handed out and I was given a free cupcake since my birthday was the day before. I got the bacon eggs Benedict and the cafe mocha. Both were amazing, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will 100% be back!

This place was cool. It has a french pastry shop like vibe. We sat at the seating outside and ordered the shrimp and grits and a crossiant. The prices were average.. $16 for shrimp & grits and it was a nice size portion. The taste was pretty good. I could tell that they did not just plop shrimp on top of grits. The grits were made with pimento cheese and there was two fried green tomatoes in there which I personally really enjoyed. I would have ate a plate of those! There was also sausage, onions and green peppers sauteed in there as well. Inside there is a display case with desserts and pastries. We didn't have any, however they looked tasty and they are first come first serve. Also, there is a breakfast and lunch menu.

The Nutella banana crepes were delicious. The butternut squash was also so good. I had a bloody Mary and that was perfect. I would highly recommend croissant bistro.

Simply wow! Found this place as a recommended restaurant on YouTube and it was fantastic! Great atmosphere, tasty coffee, and the breakfast was AMAZING (Try the Shrimp and Grits - yummy!). Highly recommend this place. Wife and I also got a 1lb of their delicious coffee to take back to the hotel. The complimentary mini muffins were a tasty surprise so we may order a cake another for day of our stay. Come try this place!

Have high hope for this place, the service is excellent and seating is comfortable. However, I expect the coffee to be great and down right awful. Then the eggs, it should be sunny side up but more like fried eggs, one of them shouldn't be served. There is one high note, at least the croissant is good.

This place never ceases to amaze us! We love coming here for breakfast/lunch. This time the husband had a croissant sandwich, while I had the two eggs with grits, bacon, sausage, etc. I also ordered a cake for pickup, which that was also VERY delicious. The service is constantly top notch, food is amazing, baked goods and coffee are phenomenal. There’s no reason to not come here! It’s become one of our must eats very quickly!

Carmella's Cafe and Dessert Bar is a charming eatery located in downtown Charleston, offering a tranquil atmosphere and a blend of old-world charm with modern flair. The cafe features freshly baked Italian ciabatta sandwiches, wood-fired pizzas with creative toppings, and their signature cannoli cake. In addition to the delectable desserts, they also serve savory Italian paninis and boast a fantastic wine list.
Do not miss this dessert place if you’re ready to splurge on some of the tastiest options out there. Glass case with what I would refer to as miniature cakes by checkout counter. $12-$16 per mini cake. We had the peanut butter cake, but the carrot cake looked amazing too. There was a s’mores option as well that was a cheesecake. Lots of tea, milkshake, coffee options as well. Gets crowded, but we were able to find seating for two. In a busy walking area. Street parking.

We were in Charleston for 3 nights and ate here on 3 different occasions. All I can say is WOW!!! The staff is friendly and welcoming, the food is absolutely incredible! Today we were helped by Morgan, Kennedy and Brixey. All just wonderful. Don’t miss this spot while in Charleston.

While visiting Charleston, came here for after-dinner dessert & coffee a couple nights. First night I had the Tiramisu, house coffee with shot of baileys and finished with an old fashioned. Everything was very good and service was excellent. Second night had the Key Lime pie and a cappuccino. However, there were a lot of grounds in the coffee. I did show the bartender and he promptly took care of it. Overall, a great option for after dinner, late night coffee, dessert or night cap! Good location and vibe. Service was also very friendly and attentive.

October is the time to visit! We tried to visit on the weekend and the line was constantly out the door. That's how you know it is the place to be. Visit on a weekday and you can enjoy a drink and people watch without the crowds. The Espresso martini is better than Henry's so stop in and get one. The Turkey Asiago Sandwich is a must have as well as the carrot cake. 😍

We visited Charleston and went to Carmella’s every day we stayed there, the food was great, the desserts spectacular (we forgot to take pictures)! We ordered an espresso martini and it was hands down the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is great as well as the customer service.

Carmellas was reccommended to me by another downtown business and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. The food was also incredible. Another patron suggested the turkey asiago sandwich, i elected for the italian but from what i saw coming out of that kitchen it doesnt matter what you order its going to taste great, at a reasonable price, and not a small serving!

Had the apple spice cake and one of their sandwiches - sandwich wasn’t anything special in terms of flavor but the dessert was great. Wish I had been there with more time to try one of the dessert drinks. Definitely worth checking out!

Stumbled upon this place and man were we glad we did. Super creative drinks as well as typical beer and other beverages. Delicious sweets, ice cream, all sorts of stuff. Service was really prompt even with the longer line to order. A decent amount of seating inside but when it was busy it was hard to find a place to sit. Will come back for sure!

This is by far my favorite spot to get breakfast/lunch in Hilton Head. Although the line seems long, it goes by so fast! The service is impeccable, and when I was stuck on what to get, the cashier knew exactly what to suggest. We went to Harbour Town Bakery & Cafe twice during our stay in Hilton Head. During the first visit we got the Classic Belgian Waffle, a hot Southern Pecan Latte, an iced Vanilla Latte, and the Yogurt Parfait. Everything we ordered was perfect. On the second visit, we got the On the Fly sandwich on a croissant with bacon, the Yogurt Parfait, a hot Southern Pecan Latte, and an Iced Vanilla Latte. Once again, everything was amazing. I would absolutely recommend Harbour Town Bakery & Cafe to everyone! Some items were so good we reordered them!!

I went here the other day to have breakfast. Upon arrival, there were at least 20 people ahead of me in line and the line went out of the door. Once I got to the front of the line, I ordered the Denver Omelet which came with toast and home fries. The taste of the Omelet was a tad bit below average. The home fries were overcooked, mushy and bland. I won't completely write this restaurant off because there are a ton of people who love it. But my experience wasn't the best.

Nice quick breakfast cafe in Harbour Town. Staff is professional and loved the menu options. I ended up getting the french toast and it was good. My friend liked her avocado toast too. Waited only 15 minutes for food which was great compared to how long the line was. Cold brew is okay. Definitely a fun spot for vacationers though.

We enjoyed a lovely walk around Harbor Town, then stopped in for a quick lunch. Karen was gracious and friendly!! Both the spinach & mushroom omelette and the pastrami Reuben were delicious. That being said, we waited over 20 minutes. Was it worth the wait? Sure, holiday week and beautiful weather combined with time to slow down :) We would still recommend.

Stono Market and Tomato Shed Cafe is a delightful gem nestled on Johns Island, where the charm of Southern hospitality meets fresh, local flavors. This beloved spot began as an open-air market showcasing homegrown produce and has blossomed into a full-service cafe that serves up hearty Southern dishes for lunch and dinner. The inviting atmosphere feels like dining at grandma's house, complete with meals served on paper plates and complimentary tea refills.
I thought this was a nice list place. In addition to the diner, there’s a small grocery shopping area that was really cool. There’s also a gift shop so it has a little bit of everything. I got the Roast Pork and Gravy and my wife got a burger without the bun on top of a salad. I thought the food was good. We had just come from the Angel Tree which isn’t too far from the restaurant. Give the place a try. Very nice waitstaff. They’ll treat you right.

Stono Market and Tomato Shed is a must-visit if you are anywhere nearby. It is well worth the trip. If I lived in the area, I would be there at least once a week. The environment is cozy casual and country as it gets. We were warmly welcomed, and put on a short wait list and offered a seat on the comfortable front porch swing. We were seated, given menus, specials were explained and offered drinks. The whole place has the feel of home. Multiple lovely waitstaff served us through our visit and the best I can describe the waitstaff - it is like being served by your favorite aunt The flavor of my shrimp and grits was uniquely our of this world. A blend of savory sauce on top of creamy grits covered with plenty of shrimp. My wife's Crab Cakes were properly cooked and generously portioned. As if it couldn't get any better, the Tomato Pie is a must have savory tangy treat. It is offered as one of the sides. When we were finished, our "Favorite Aunt" offered us dessert. We said we were full, but i asked if she could talk us into a dessert - she just said "No, if you are full, you are full, I don't want to make you uncomfortable" I love that! Please shop at the Stono Market there are a lot of local food favorites, sauces, prepared food, and vegetables. Unique decorations and cool books are also available. I can't wait to go back!

What was an unsuspecting restaurant at first turned into a fantastic lunch. Lots of cool knickknacks and things to look at while you wait for a table. The food came pretty quickly and everything was excellent. Tomato pie was great, crab cakes were some of the best I’ve had in Charleston as a whole, and the coconut cake was excellent. This will be a new staple for me, absolutely recommend!

Well, after 25 years of visiting the Tomato Shed on a regular basis, you've finally done it. You made a meal that I didn't like. My mother in law (from Michigan) insists on going to the Tomato Shed every time they visit Charleston, which we are always happy to accommodate. This visit, I had the meatloaf. It was well prepared, others at our table thought it was great. I just didn't care for it. No, there was nothing wrong with it. Yes, it looked wonderful, and smelled amazing. I have no valid complaint about it. I just didn't care for it. So, why am I writing this review? Because it is the first time since moving back home that I didn't absolutely love everything I've had there. Such a rarity needs to be remarked upon. Our server was awesome (I didn't remember his name, but he was cheerful and fun), the ambience was very pleasant, as always, and the whole experience was excellent. But, for the first time ever, the Tomato Shed was not *perfect*. Overall, great job. Keep up the good work.

I had heard many reviews and suggestions from a local facebook page to try this out and we're glad we made the stop on the way back from the beach. No need to be dressed up, and perfect portions! You feel like you're eating on your grandparents porch. I will say the tomato pie was a let down because I was expecting some sort of bread or crust to go with it but it was mostly onions and tomatoes. Great staff and knowledgeable on the food! The shrimp plate was the best thing we ate there!

Loved the atmosphere at Corner Perk and love that you can also sit outside. We got 5 coffees to go! My only critique is the sugar free vanilla was very sweet, so good easy on it if you get a sugar free vanilla latte! We tried new and seasonal coffees, the iced honey bee latte and the iced cherry vanilla, both delicious! I also got a hot organic cocoa mocha, I liked it, it wasn't too sweet! The service was great and the people are kind and patient. Definitely check this place out in Old Town Bluffton!

The breakfast is solid. If you need a quick meal, it’s great. The coffee though, is impressively subpar. The past two visits, my cappuccinos have left burns in my mouth. I’m not that picky, but I don’t want scalding coffee. I asked them to remake the first time. I didn’t have time the second time. Bummer because it’s a prime location

Nice quiet location. Not super busy and quick, friendly service. We vacationed here and after a morning walk in the beach we wanted to stop for coffee and pastries. We all agreed we would rate this place as average. Nothing really stood out. The coffee was good but the banana bread and muffin were not my favorite. Banana bread has some type of spice that overpowers the banana flavor and the muffin was dry. Nice experience, but not a place I’d visit again.

Hilton Head Social Bakery is a charming French bakery offering an array of delectable pastries, breads, and sweets alongside coffee drinks. Owned by the acclaimed Chef Philippe Feret, who honed his culinary skills at renowned restaurants around the world, this cozy outpost boasts a Parisian pastry experience. The bakery's hand-built outlets feature a variety of tantalizing treats such as chocolate chip brioche, croissants, fruit tarts, fougasse, and artisan breads.
I'm actually obsessed with this place. I come here at least twice a week before work to grab a coffee and pastry and chill in their outdoor seating. It's an incredibly laid back and comfortable atmosphere that I love soaking up and the food here is to die for. Literally. I think I'd give my life for one of their prosciutto sandwiches and I daydream about the 'Kiss on the Beach' and giant raspberry macaroon daily. This is so easily the best bakery/Cafe on the island it's an absolute hidden gem. Not only is the food exceptional but I love the service as well- it's so fun and upbeat in there I don't even know how to begin to describe it. The workers always go above and beyond to be incredibly friendly and caring. This is easily my favorite place on hilton head; if I'm ever missing I'm actually just at the social bakery sitting outside with a coffee and almond croissant Edit: I got my birthday cake from here as well (16" giant raspberry macaron) and it was absolutely everything I could ever dream of. Even though the cake was huge it came out absolutely perfectly, and insanely delicious! I'm still getting messages from my guests about just how tasty the cake was because it truly was out of this world!! Thank you so much to everyone on the team for creating the best birthday cake ever I'm obsessed!!!!!

My sweet tolerance has been significantly decreased over the years but this place had the perfect amount of “sweet” in everything. A nice lady was there who advised that I try the raspberry macron because I didn’t want anything super sweet. It was so good that I had to come back and get another one right before we left. The Pain Aux Raisin was pretty good too. Must visit here if you have a sweet tooth while here.

Do I come to Hilton Head specifically for this bakery? Just maybe 😂 Seriously, this place is a staple, everyday stop when I’m in town. Amazing coffee and the pastries are to die for. The staff is always friendly. I love sitting outside and enjoying the harbor views, but the new inside expansion was nice for the more mornings. I know I’ll always be back!

The baguette and almond croissant were simply amazing! The lemon tarte was good but could be a bit more ‘ tarte’.. lacking a bit of the lemon flavor. Same for the keylime pie. With all the great reviews I thought I would check it out. I got the ultimate bonbon. It looked beautiful, but it was very dry. It tasted like eating stale chocolate cake. I don't get what all the hype is about. On the plus side, it's in a nice setting by the water and staff are very friendly.

This is our fourth day in a row and we ordered our food to go and warmed up. Has never been a problem with the usual line they had every morning. Today they shoved the bags at us, gave us plates and told us they couldn’t warm up the food. Had we known that, we wouldn’t have ordered and gone somewhere with warm food. This is insane. $100 wasted because our party didn’t like cold food. My mind is blown at the horrible service, the flustered employees and have never been treated like that in a food establishment. Again, we ordered our food warmed up, to go. Took our money without letting us know that couldn’t be done and shoved bags and plates in our arms, disregarded us completely and said they wouldn’t warm it up. What is actually going on?

I loved it there! It has so many things to look at. Legos and toys on Second floor. I loved the elevator. I didn't get the names of the two men at the food samples (barbecue sauce on meatballs, chips with jam). If you like sweet and spicy there's a peach jam worth trying. The jam guy had a thick southern accent and was maybe in his twenties, he'll probably help you find the jam. The staff is very helpful. I recommend the pistachio muffins (buttery nutty goodness,).

If you are staying in north Myrtle Beach specifically cherry grove then boulineau's super market IGA is your everything stop. They have everything from A to Z at this one stop shop. The friendly staff, the best food and all the supplies you forgot when you set off on your vacation. We had a group of 12 adults that rented a condo for 10 days and Boulineau's was our one stop shop. You can get breakfast lunch and dinner while sitting in the dine in section while the rest of your group shops. Well all of you can done in. Today we are staying more in the south strand which is about 20 miles away but it's worth the drive to stop in at Boulineau's. Patti T — Google review
Tonight was beyond disappointing with terrible service. We ordered 2 pizzas and water. How did they manage to get it all wrong?!? They had to remake 1 pizza because they forgot to add sauce, and I never got the sauce on the side that I asked for. We had to flag down a greeter to get me sauce and also ask her for drinks as our server was to busy to be bothered with service at our table. We waited and looked for our server several times to ask for the dessert and checks. Finally, I had to get up and go to the dessert counter and ask for our dessert because she also couldn't manage to bring that to the table after we asked her to bring it.(upon request, it had been pulled aside when we came in.) When I got home, I called and spoke to the manager. He said that he would talk to her and review tapes of this evening. Upon calling me back, he basically accused me of "stretching the truth" because all of this occurred in 1 hour and not and hour and a half as I had stated previously. He went on to say that he hopes I'm happy because he almost fired her when things got heated in discussions with her. Furthermore, he was on her side and that we would just have to disagree because he felt we got excellent service in under 1 hour. The fact that we had to ask other restaurant employees to get us what we needed wss chalked up to how "they pitch in to help each other out. Also, he said that she was very busy and working several tables, so he felt that we got great service. He hopes to see us again. 🤣😂 Wow, these are pretty low standards being set here in Pawleys Island. Clearly, this is another "local" favorite and obviously great if you have take out or dessert pick up. However, if you want good dine in service, go elsewhere. That is the takeaway after a few different dine in experiences that I have had at Landolfis.

Benjamin's Bakery & Cafe is a local favorite known for its delicious bagels, pastries, and sandwiches. They offer a great variety of treats and can cater to large groups with their assortment of goodies served in trays. You can even have their delectable brunch items delivered to your doorstep. The cafe is tucked away off route 17 and offers excellent coffee, tasty pastries, and satisfying sandwiches. The menu is displayed on an old-school chalkboard, adding to the cozy atmosphere.
Hotel ran out of coffee early. A daily occurrence and I have or have my coffee. On a whim I looked up best places and a list by Nora Battle came up. I’m sure all of them were good choices and she wrote great comments about each, but being a close local favorite for her and the mention of the bagels had me sold to make the 15 minute drive. I was not disappointed. The menu is great, place is busy but relaxed and just out of the way from the main road. I ended up getting the bagel to go because I had to try this sandwich, Surfside Beach. Outstanding and so was my mocha latte. Just great to enjoy while doing some reading and enjoying a beach view. Wish I lived here so I could go through the menu. We have a similar place where I live and love it. Clearly, like my place, if you want your choice of bagel, you better come early. The variety of cream cheeses were great! Not expensive for what you get. I think Myrtle Beach is one of my new vacation spots and I plan to frequent Benjamin’s again! Highly recommended!

I’d highly recommend this little café! The food is delicious! This was my second trip to Benjamin’s this week, so I had to leave a review. Everything we got was delicious. You can’t go wrong! This time, I got a plain bagel with pork roll, egg and cheese. We also got a variety of baked goods. The place was extremely busy but the staff were VERY friendly and super fast at getting the food out! They put Chick-fil-A to shame with how their staff worked together to get everyone taken care of and quick! I never saw anyone just standing around. They make sure to greet/ notice when you come in. With how busy they were, that impressed me! Next time I’m in Surfside I’ll be back for sure!

If you’re looking for a cute cafe in the Surfside area of Myrtle Beach, Benjamin’s Bagels is the perfect place to go! This was my first time going in person. My friend who is a Socastee native, has always brought me their bagels when I’m at work, and they’re always so delicious, so I’m glad I finally got the chance to go in person. From the exterior to the interior, this place has a lot of small town charm and the lively colors add an inviting element; similar to a Charleston vibe! I had a croissant sandwich with egg, cheddar cheese, and sausage, and my brother had a chicken salad sandwich. It was delicious, and I also had an iced toasted marshmallow latte, which was the cherry on top. Finally, I ordered a classic glazed “dossant” (donut x croissant) to go, and my brother had a mango smoothie as well, which were both the perfect end to our brunch. If you’re ever in the Socastee/Surfside area and are craving a good brunch, make sure to grab some bagels or dossants at Benjamin’s! It was surely worth the 30 minute drive for me!

Cute bakery in the heart of Surfside. Delicious bagels, pastries, sandwiches, coffee/ drinks, etc… service has always been impeccable. The only downside is it does get very crowded and cramped…but I guess that is just a testament to how good the food/service is.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. We ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich, two muffins and a cheese danish. We also had a frappe, smoothie and chai. Everything was great and we plan on coming back at least once more before we leave the area to go home. Service was quick and friendly. There are tables outside to eat at as well as a few in the bakery. From what I saw, parking is on the street near the building. I didn’t notice any parking lots.

My wife surprised me with breakfast from here for father's day. I just went and picked it up. I would definitely suggest ordering ahead if you dont plan on eating inside. The line was outside when I got there. Luckily they have a separate area for call in or online orders. The yeast glazed donut and the crossiant donut were the best but that Ricky Bobby cheesesteak bagel sandwich was fantastic as was the Taylor ham bagel sandwich. I can see why this place gets so busy.

This place is a must try! The people working were so nice, the atmosphere is so cute, the outdoor seating is amazing, and the food is over the top! I got the Surfside breakfast sandwich & the latte special, both were delicious. I will absolutely be back again 🫶

This is the kind of place you absolutely must try if you are in the area! We were staying nearby for a week and went almost every morning. The food is phenomenal, and the coffee is delicious. Everything was made fresh, and it certainly showed. The staff was kind and efficient, always getting our order for 3 people to us in a matter of just a few minutes. Highly recommend 👌

I adore this bakery! It was my first time visiting, and I am now completely hooked. The chocolate chip cookies are absolutely divine!!! They were baked to a flawless crispy deliciousness. Although I personally don't care for carrot cake, it happens to be my partner's favorite. He bought an entire cake, and naturally, I had to sample just a bite. Let me tell you, that led to devouring an entire slice! I was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly scrumptious it was!
Wow, this place is amazing. Great Wine, craft beer, accessories, but the baked goods were out of this world. We celebrated two birthdays and the Peach Cake and Key Lime Pie were OUTSTANDING!! (and I’m not a huge peach fan)

Ugliest cake I have ever had. I ordered a birthday cake and was very disappointed. Writing on the cake was very poor and sloppy. Not sure what they were trying to do in the middle of the cake. The cake itself was nothing to talk about. I wish I had gone with Pawleys Bakery or Publix - they make a prettier and a better tasting cake! My opinion is that this bakery was a waste of money - expensive and certainly not worth the money.

I really wanted to love Kudzu Bakery, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed a bit rude, maybe it was just an off day, but it definitely stood out. That said, the baked goods were solid, and the frozen dinners were absolutely delicious, super meaty and satisfying. Mixed experience overall, but the food itself was worth trying.

This place has the best peach cake, key lime pie and coconut cake. Also their service is a step beyond also, my loved the way he was treated receiving free chocolate chip cookies the other day for his birthday.

One of those shops that is always an absolute pleasure to visit. Fabulous baked goods, preserves, condiments and tableware. Also an extensive wine collection, a must visit if you are in the area.
