Called a day in advance to see if they have a cheese cake in the store for next day pick up, confirm with lady over the phone there was one and I can come next morning to get the cake. Went in the store around 10:50 and paid for the cake. When I got to the birthday party open the cake, it not a cheese cake but a berry napoleon cake…. Called the store about this issue and was told to bring back the cake to exchange for the correct cake but we were already 1 hour away from the bakery at this point. Was told they were suppose to show us the cake before sealing it which the cashier at the time did not show me the cake before sealing. Birthday boy can’t even have the cake cause his allergic to berries, what a great birthday thank you Martha’s! If your gonna order anything from here make sure you double check before they even seal the product cause you will not get any sort of compensation for their mistake.

1 star for the staff. I asked for whipped cream to go since I’m going to eat it with in ky car right away. Staff said they do not provide whipped cream to go since only last for couple seconds. I can’t believe even I request it. And she gave me such an attitude too. If u tell me I’m sorry we do not do that since it’s to protect the best quality. But not when u RUDE. So im going to buy my own just because. So mad

Went on a weekend night and it was crowded! It represents how tasty their pastries and cakes are. The very berry napoleon pastry was so good! The cappuccino was good and strong. Prices are slightly higher than some other local bakeries, but the quality and taste are worth the cost.

My friends and I really lucked out coming in on a very cold evening, table seating was available, and the line was only a few people. Service was fast and friendly, the pastries and cakes lived up to its hype, and the seating area was clean. Price reflects quality, especially if you're doing table service (there is a minimum per guest at certain times.) If you are sensitive to price, then do take out. There is such a beautiful of cakes, slices, cookis and cupcakes, it is hard to choose! But the triple berry napoleon pastry was the favorite, messy, and exceptional. Enjoy!

My review is only on one particular menu item: the cheese danish. For the most part, the bakery is the best at popping out cakes and pies, as that is what they’re known for. But I made the mistake of trying their morning pastries. The instant I took it out of the bag and took a look at it I knew I was in for trouble. It didn’t even look like a pasty. It was cold, hard, and it tasted like semi cooked dough. Nothing about it was soft, warm or flaky. They should either call it a biscuit or scone. I felt like I was some street rat pauper child from the scene of Les Miserables in the rainy dark dirty street eating some hard piece of … jumble of baking Ingridients that got thrown out on the street as inedible garbage. I had to ask the staff if it was baked in house? They said yes but I find it hard to believe. I would think only a machine in a factory could make such a pastry-atrocity and be able to call it a cheese danish. I was only able to eat the outside crust. Imagine throwing it off the cliff of the Grand Canyon and it being able to survive in tact. That is what this thing is, definitely a ‘cheese danish’ it is not.

Great service but the line was long but for good reason. It’s has so many dessert options. You can dine in and out. Good treats . It’s expensive not going to lie but if you really craving it . It’s worth it.

First time trying Martha’s! I had their layered chocolate cake and raisin bread pudding. The chocolate cake was delicious I loved that it was evenly layered and not overly sweet. The bread pudding was okay. I guess I expected a little more from it, but overall it was decent. I’ll definitely be back to try more items! 🍰

This is the viral bakery that I have been wanting to try for a long time. I absolutely loved it. They are known for their banana pudding and it was delicious. I went during the fall time and was able to try a few of their fall flavored pasties. I got a pumpkin cheesecake, a regular cheesecake and I believe it was some type of gingersnap pastry as well. Everything was so good. There isn't seating inside but across the street there's an area with benches I sat on to enjoy. 10/10 I would come again!

Magnolia Bakery is one of those spots that feels like a true New York moment. It is cozy, welcoming, and the kind of place that manages to be both iconic and genuinely good. Everyone talks about the banana pudding, and for good reason. It is creamy, light, and unlike anything else. But my personal recommendation is the chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing. It is simple, perfectly balanced, and exactly what a classic cupcake should taste like. The bakery itself is always clean and the staff are friendly, which makes the experience feel easy and enjoyable, even when it is busy. It is also across the street from a great little bookstore, which makes stopping by feel like you are stepping into one of those quintessential New York City days where everything lines up just right. Magnolia works for just about everyone. It is great for kids, but just as fun for adults who want a sweet treat or a nostalgic moment. Whether you are local or visiting, it is a must-go and a place you will probably find yourself returning to again and again.

Try the famous banana pudding which is surprisingly tasty with banana chunks and cookies and cream. Love it. Also got the red velvet cheesecake and Iced matcha, delicious too. Only for take out so we enjoyed them in nearby park. All the cakes look really attractive in the shop, can’t wait to try more soon.

My first time trying Magnolia Bakery and fell in love. I have the brown sugar cookie and the hot chocolate with oat milk and it was very delicious. This is great stop for quick sweet treat. I've heard great things about the banana pudding, I'll try it next time.

Finally tried Magnolia Bakery’s famous banana pudding—totally worth the hype. Creamy, fluffy, with real banana chunks and soft wafers that melt right in. Sweet but not too heavy, and dangerously easy to finish in one sitting. A NYC must-try dessert—approved and devoured.

This is a classic. I don’t think it needs any more recommendation. I obviously got the banana pudding and I was very surprised at how good it was. I also got the seasonal pumpkin spice pudding, and it was the perfect fall dessert. I cannot recommend the banana pudding enough. I actually thought about ways in which I could bring this back to Europe, so now I’m hoping they would open up a bakery somewhere in Europe.

It was my first time trying the famous banana pudding. I did not expect to like it that much. It is definitely not to be missed whenever you visit here. We also got pecan cheesecake which was good as well. It was rich and heavy.

Delicious desserts for all hours of the day. I had the Milk Bar pie and Sundae combo deal. They were both good. The vanilla soft serve ice cream is a cereal milk tasting flavor which my husband did not like. He thought it was good but his flavor of choice. The pie was very rich maybe too rich for me. Eating it together was delicious though. Prices were good. Selection was good. Seating available was good. It’s a nice place to sit and satisfy your sweet tooth for sure.

Had this place recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! We ordered the lemon meringue pie and cereal milk soft serve, and it definitely satisfied our sweet tooth. The girl taking our order was also super sweet. Would definitely visit again if I’m ever in NYC again!

This place has definitely gone way downhill. The employees don’t care, the music is too loud and this is what a “Pie and Soft Serve” looks like. Everyone understands that when someone orders pie and ice cream, the ice cream should be on top of the pie. And also the pie should be warm. Here instead you get this and the pie is refrigerated solid out of a box. Very dissatisfying

Honestly? Average. Just average. I came here expecting a fun, creative dessert stop something sweet to wrap up the night, but everything just kind of fell flat. The snacks looked cute, sure, but the flavors were uninspired. Our drinks were lukewarm, the sugar hit too strong, and it all felt like the staff was more eager to close up than serve something memorable. Quick notes for fellow dessert hunters: Service: Polite and minimal, just enough to take the order and move things along. Food: Ok. It's ok. Atmosphere: Clean enough, but the energy was as tired as the drinks. Nothing terrible, but nothing special either. Out of everywhere I visited in NYC, this was the most forgettable stop, which is saying something in a city full of flavor.

Really beautiful and vintage old 50s diner. Living for it! Staff really kind. Looks clean. Taste not as hyped for, and kinda expensive. But still a good place to hangout for a little bit and get a coffee.

My wife, daughter, and I stopped by and had a wonderful experience. Jasmine was the best! She was so helpful and friendly, we loved her! She hooked us up with stickers and this cool bag! Did I mention the ice cream is so delicious?!? I highly recommend going here.

I love this place!!! Jamika is amazing and she made my day with the Milk Bar pie slice. ADDICTIVE!!! I ordered one and doubled back for another 10 minutes later. tried From Lucie's stout cake at a pop-up today and without ever stepping foot in this bakery before, I now want to go and live there and try every single cake this extraordinary Pastry Chef makes. The stout cake was unbelievable. At first I was amazed by how gorgeous the cake looked. I was in awe of the flowers, decoration, and just absolute loveliness of it. Then, I tasted it, and wow, my son and I stayed quiet for a moment. That's how special it was... I soon went around asking at this pop-up (that had nothing to do with cake) what bakery this cake was from? Who are they? What magic is this? Yes, this cake was magical...I haven't tried like it before...and if you haven't tried her cakes before either, please do. I am so happy we got to and I so look forward to trying another one of From Lucie's creation soon...very soon. If the person who made the stout cake today is reading this... thank you! We absolutely loved it.

Cakes look beautiful but don’t quite live up to the hype. The frosting-to-cake ratio is often off, and the floral decorations are overdone. Tried olive oil cake with lemon frosting, vanilla cake with earl grey, and chocolate cake with espresso salted fudge, the last one was way too heavy. Portions are small for the price. Overall, looks great but taste and balance need improvement.

Dear Lucie, It was honestly the best, most beautifully decorated birthday carrot cake we’ve ever had!!! So deliciously moist and fluffy, but not too sweet, and the cream cheese frosting is straight up CRACK!!! Thank you for making our cake with love!

i got a mini carrot cake and instantly fell in love!!! 🧸❤️ not only was the frosting perfectly sweetened, but the cake itself was flavorful and moist. it had a lovely balance of sweet and spice! although prices are on the higher end, the quality and decorative touch make it worth the price. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their cake flavors and pastries! :)

delicious baked goods!!! this bakery has not only my favorite chocolate chip cookie in manhattan, but also a plethora of other amazing desserts. some of my other favorites would have to be the lemon thyme bar and carrot cake (gluten-free). i love how everything is presented so beautifully with flowers on top. i’m also a fan of the cute outdoor seating. highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area. :)

I felt a little concerned seeing the reviews about the cake being dry but i am glad i took the chance and tried it. unfortunately they didnt have a mini chocolate that day so had to try the carrot cake which was super nice. not too sweet! over all agood decision. As for the size Perfect for 2 people! Would love to try the choc next time

I’ve been wanting to visit for ages and finally made it to try the beautiful treats at from lucie- can confirm, pretty AND amazing. Bakeries are pretty much my #1 passion as a New Yorker, and maaaany disappoint, particularly when it comes to chocolate chip cookies; these were a top contender- simple, perfect texture, thin, buttery, and delicious! I also love they have GF treats that pass with flying colors. Cutest store, would shout it from the rooftops, but I’m sort of sick of all the good spots being taken over… so hoping this spot stays a perfectly appreciated small gem in the city ❤️

This place had the friendliest service. The older gentleman behind the counter was so nice, answered all my questions, and even let us wash our hands behind the bar. The pistachio croissant was amazing, the bagel was great, and the cinnamon challah bread was delicious. The muffin was solid, and the banana cake was like a super moist banana bread. We bought some sourdough to go, and he even threw in a couple of baguettes for us! It's a really cute little bakery with plenty of seating in the back. Oh, and the sticky bun was heavenly.

Tried the pistachio croissant twist at Amy’s Bread—flaky, buttery, and perfectly layered with a rich pistachio flavor. Sweet but balanced, with a delightful crunch and soft center. Pairs perfectly with coffee and captures that classic artisanal bakery charm.

Amy's Bread is within the Chelsea Market (see photos), on 9th Avenue between 15th and 16th Streets. Taxis are easily accessible from there to get you to your next destination. I had the banana cake ($7.08 including tax) which, as a whole, was very good. The flavor of the cake had a pleasing banana taste (as it should), while the white frosting, which was tasty, did not enhance the cake because its pleasing flavor was strong and blocked out the flavor of the cake when the two were together on the fork. The few nuts on top of it had no taste. A few weeks later I tried their butterscotch cashew bar, pictured ($5.00). The butterscotch flavor was strong and pleasing, but there was almost no contrast of flavor with the cashews because most of them had no recognizable flavor, as was with the nuts on the banana cake mentioned above. I tried their Hell's Kitchen bakery (9th Avenue at about 47th Street), on February 28th, 2025, it was very disappointing. Their sticky bun WAS, many years ago, considered to be one of the best. NOW, I think that it is one of the poorest versions. The sticky and tasty flavor was only on the top of the bun, the rest was close to flavorless. Their tuna sandwich on that day was the most unrecognizably flavored tuna sandwich I have ever had (rate it 0).

Amy’s Bread was a must try since I’m a huge fan of anything sourdough. Overall, it wasn’t my best costumer serving experience or waiting time for ordering and paying but the product was very tasty and earned a 3 star. The cinnamon raisin bagel was decent and tastes great with cream cheese.

Have been here twice. It always smells fresh and there a variety of options. Have gotten the olive bread, was decent. Also got the challah twist knot, it was fresh and nice. Would like to try the desserts for sure the next time.

Service was friendly. I was expecting to smell the scent of fresh baked bread or pastries when I walked in but sadly I didn't. Maybe this is a telltale sign.... I have heard so much about this bakery that I was excited to visit and try their goodies. Unfortunately, it was just ok. Nothing spectacular. The oat scone looked really good but it was on the dry side. Flavorwise it reminded me of the fall. The olive twist had a nice chew but was on the salty side for my personal tastes. I am glad to have tried but would not go out of my way to come back unfortunately.

Very cozy place! We ordered to go so unfortunately we didn't get the chance to fully experience the place's vibe. We had a cream cheese and a PB&J bagel, plus a coffee. The bagels were tasty with a nice texture, and the filling quantity was well balanced.

Friendly staff, pretty cool variety of pudding flavors, of which you can get one free small spoon taste (sweet stuff!). Cupcakes also not bad to very good, although best to ask them which are the freshest, as I think a pistachio I bought and ate right after purchase was noticeably a little drier than what I think good cake should be, vs a chocolate one also from that same day that I ate 48 hours later (amazingly surviving through plane flights). I didn’t ask if they were baked at the same time, but the man did mention that if I came back the next day, a new batch wouldn’t be ready til 3 or 4pm, which is why I bought that evening instead.

This place is amazing! I called the morning-of needing a vegan chocolate cake big enough to feed 10 people for later that night. The cake was ready in a few hours and it was DELICIOUS. They seriously helped me out and I will definitely be coming back to try new flavors (and ordering in advance this time lol)

Love this place. Love the fact I can have vegan cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies here. Coffee (we’re talking classic brew here) and tea for $1,- is a wonderful add-on to all the sweetness. Various yummy-looking desserts (you’ll have to try them for me😉). Moved to Grand street, it’s more visible and accessible. Now get over here and have yourself a sweet time🩷

Ran over to this bakery for some sweet treats just before they closed. I’ve been dying to taste the pistachio cupcakes and pound cake. I ended up ordering 2 pistachio cupcakes and 1 lemon cupcake ( they were closing and didn’t have enough time to decide). Upon tasting all the cupcake I will say I thought it was all just OK. Good but just ok. I didn’t like the sprinkles and glitter added to each of the cupcakes and I wasn’t a fan of what tasted like marshmallow icing on the pistachio cupcakes. Now the lemon cupcake was great. More my cupcake speed minus the sprinkle and glitter. I can definitely go for another lemon cupcake sometime in the future. There is a pudding refrigerator in the back with really nice layers of flavor that I’d love to try on another visit . The bakery doesn’t have a lot of seating and the staff are really nice. The pricing is also reasonable for the city. I will try to return soon.

I came here in my childhood days for their renowned banana pudding and didn't think I'd end up visiting again for an entirely different request so many years later. I ordered a vegan dark chocolate cake with mocha filling and my friend absolutely loved it! Peggy was very patient & accommodating on the phone and via email to make sure the cake would come out exactly how I wanted.

Update (8/16): went with the ooey gooey today and was not disappointed. Also had a chance to visit the new(ish) location on Grand (note that it moved last September from its Rivington St location). And a blessing to see both co-owners in the shop today! *** I am so happy I stumbled upon this wonderful bakery at least ten years ago. While I lived in the City, I trekked down to the Lower East Side often just to get what I consider the best cupcake in NYC: Sugar Sweet Sunshine's spicy pumpkin. The bakery is appropriately named, as it fills you with happiness and the food equivalent of sunshine. The cupcakes - unlike most of the famous ones in the City - will remind you of the ones that moms used to make for birthday parties while we were all in primary school. The women who own this spot are true gems, and I'm so happy to see it still thriving. Go support it, and you will not be disappointed.

Oh my gosh....my sister had a custom cake made for my birthday, and when I tell you I was shocked I was literally speechless from our server bringing the cake out till they finished singing happy birthday. For context, I make grommet headbands and so my sister showed Empire my headband instagram and they came up with this masterpiece. The black part looks exactly like the headbands I make, and the combination of my sister having this made plus the Empire staff bringing the vision to life (and perfection) made me feel so loved and happy. On top of that, my sister made sure it was carrot cake (my favorite) and it was one of the best carrot cakes I've ever had. When I went to pickup my cake a day before, I almost had a heart attack when I saw the handwriting and I’m glad I had decided to open the box at the store. When I brought it up, they immediately fixed it to cursive and more aesthetic inscription. We chose the lilikoi flavor (passion fruit) and it was very fresh and delicious. We had a few friends coming over later and they all enjoyed. I wish they had the option to add the inscription with the same frosting color, but white was good enough, and I appreciate that they followed this ask when adding the note online. I would order from here again.

Always an amazing cake or two on display in the window. Went near closing on a bad weather night and store had good amount of customers before and after me so very popular. The two servers were helpful and friendly. Enjoyed a few cupcakes. Really liked their frosting - not overly sweet.

I ordered 12 of the cupcakes (one of each flavor) . One slice of strawberry one slice of vanilla of the cakes A black and white cookie, a Twix, a Swiss roll, a rainbow layer, chocolate chip chunk large and regular size and the frosting filled chocolate chip cookie. I also ordered the rainbow spritz an orange shortbread and i forgot the name of the one that has two small 1.5 inch cookies pressed together with a thin i think leche filling. I’m a home processor cottage bakery baker, i make baked goods in brooklyn- and so i go to bakeries and buy all the things i would want to bake myself to taste what’s happening out there. Empire cake absolutely is HAPPENING out there!!! (I mean it’s been doing that for a while now I’m just totally late to the game) The cake in the vanilla cake and strawberry cake has a beautiful taste and texture. The strawberry frosting is delicious. The vanilla frosting also delicious though it didn’t kick my socks off as much as the strawberry. Each cupcake was its own mini experience of happiness baked in a wrapper and frosted to perfection.

Ordered a mocha cake with purple writing. Cake tasted great but when the guy showed it to us, I said I asked for purple and he swore it was purple. That looks blue to me but idk!

I can't rave enough about this bakery, not only were the cupcakes INCREDIBLE but Beth our server was even more iconic!!! Beth's energy was infectious, charismatic, funny, SUPER chill, and easily made everyone whoe walked in feel like a best friend. My friends and I had a rough night before walking into this bakery and the tone Beth set changed our whole night, topped off with some of the most decadent and satisfying cupcakes I've had in a while...win win win!!!

Ladybird Bakery is hands down my favorite bakery in NYC. I’ve been enjoying their sweet treats since I was a child and their Brooklyn blackout cake is truly out of this world. Perfectly sweet, rich, & moist with the most beautiful decorative details. I was surprised with one this Valentine’s Day and like always, it was absolutely divine. You simply have to try the chocolate cake or any other delicious desserts. You won’t be disappointed.

Ladybird made the cake for our wedding in spring 2025. We highly recommend them! They were great to work with, and the cake was beautiful and delicious. Also, the tasting is a blast — you get to try every combination of their cakes, frostings, and fillings. :)

We just had Ladybird cakes at our wedding and can't recommend them enough! They tasted phenomenal and were VERY reasonably priced when compared to other quotes we got. Ladybird was actually running a sale for the offseason too. It seemed to me that they charge fairly for the ingredients and labor, but don't gouge just because the word “wedding” is involved. We had a great time at the bakery tasting ingredients and building our custom cake. Once we chose our flavors, Melanie did a beautiful job matching the buttercream flowers to our actual flowers. Our secondary cake, a Brooklyn Blackout cake, was one of the best chocolate cakes we've ever had and the chocolate lovers were very happy! The delivery went off without a hitch, and we will be back for some Brooklyn Blackout cake on our anniversary.

Their cakes are stunning! I was blown away when I saw mine. They exceeded my expectations of what a cake could be. I love how they listened to my wishes and brought them to life. Just little regret that I feel like the cake is a little dry and not so fresh, like it was made a day before.

After dropping our son off at college, my husband, other son, and myself went to Brooklyn specifically for this bakery and the Brooklyn Blackout cake. We were NOT disappointed! I also got my mom a small carrot cake. She loved it!! Whenever we're back in NYC, I'll definitely be going here again. The young lady behind the counter was really nice too.

This area bustles with many bakeries and we did a bakery crawl starting here first! The place is super cute and small as well. It has extra seating just outside Food : We tried their famous cinnamon bun and it was good. The bread was super soft and the flavours was lovely. The only thing that didn’t work was that it was too sweet. The cream on top was yum but too sugary Service and wait : Even though there was a long line and too many customers, the line moved quick and the staff was super sweet and helpful. Ambience : Small quaint place and with limited seating inside. Overall a good bakery with not just cinnamon roll but pies, pudding and cakes.

Second time going go Hani’s bakery. Went early enough to get the cinnamon bun. I was underwhelmed. Loved the icing but not the actual bun. Very good portion though, it’s huge. Could barely finish it. I did love the raspberry loaf. Had the triple chunk cookie the first time I went and it was just okay. Limited seating. So be prepared to take out.

First time here, my friend asked me to meet this cute bakery. 9am, there is no line, and all bakery goods are prepared and displayed nicely. Iced Cold Brew was delicious. I got a slice of smoked salmon flatbread. Very good!

Very cute bakery! Got the carrot cake and a cinnamon roll. Both delicious and the icing on the cinnamon roll was delectable. However, flavors were a little lighter than I wanted. But the atmosphere of the bakery was great and could spend an hour or two here reading Update: I went again and the breakfast sandwich is amazing. Absolutely will come back again and again for that.

Best salmon toast I've ever had! Fluffy and crunchy bread fresh ingredients and topping go really well together. Cinnamon bun light fluffy and sweet. Delicious food and worth the hype. Friendly and helpful staff.

Service here is amazing! Staff is super nice but the food was okay. I got the carrot cake and the flavors of the cake were nice. But the cake overall was a little dry for a carrot cake. Also I wouldn't go out of my way to make the trip go to this place. The prices are a lil expensive for what they deliver. It is hard to compete with other pastry shops that offer better with the same price range. For this price point I expected a little more because it wasn't anything to write home about. I hope they get better in the future!

Just doordash a mini rainbow cake, donuts, cookies and cannolis since we are in Jersey celebrating my daughter 5th birthday. Got her a rainbow cake and decided to get some desserts. The desserts all tasted old. Cannoli filling tasted spoiled. I did a late night order, early morning delivery so it appears the desserts were from the previous day or two.. everything went in the trash. Luckily I bought the rainbow cake for the look (since it’s bright and colorful) and not for the taste as i’m sure that will also get trashed. What a waste of money! Would never recommend and tell anyone I know to stay away from this bakery in Hoboken. Absolutely the worst!

I bought a cannoli, a cheesecake, a lobster tail, and sfogliatelle, and honestly, everything was just inedible. Each pastry tasted like pure sugar — so extremely sweet that it was impossible to eat. I don’t know if they keep adding more and more sugar or if they use some kind of syrup instead, but the result is simply awful. The cheesecake didn’t taste like cheesecake at all — it was more like slippery, greasy butter with no real cheese flavor. The cannoli shell tasted like stale bread, and the sfogliatelle were not fresh. The so-called cheese filling was hard and didn’t even taste like cheese. Trying these desserts is enough to cure anyone from eating sweets ever again. Absolutely not worth the hype.

We traveled way out of our way to visit this place and it was a bust. First, I had to go to another restaurant to take my child to the bathroom due to them not allowing customers to use it.. we order canoli, e'clair (about $7) and donuts and we were very disappointed. The cream inside the e'clair was frozen or suuuuper hard. The canoli's tasted like soggy bread at almost $7/ canoli thr donuts were just plain. For us 4 dishes was about $30, the place wasn't clean. Just unwelcome and not what I'd expect. There was no waiting as it was 4pm on a Saturday. Never been to NJ and my one stop 1hr out of our way was this bakery. Our excitement died when we open the door. :(

We had to visit since we’d known this location from the Cake Boss. So many choices of pastries it was hard to pick but we got several different ones to share. We did get breakfast sandwiches too and they were delicious.

I was on vacation and traveled from Puerto Rico to New Jersey! I was so exited to visit Carlos's Bakery at Hoboken after visiting Time Square location I arrived and there was no costumers... when I asked there was no lobster tails... I asked for 2 regular canolis, 1 pumpkin spice, 1 peanut butter and 1 smore... I get home with one regular, one pumpking spice and 2 peanut butter... What a deception they weren't fresh... after having them at Time Square location fresh this is so disappointing 😞 I brought them back to Passaic to share with my family... now I know why my cousin doesn't like the bakery at all, I get her if this was her first impression...

Went two times in our family trip just because I grew up watching cake boss but honestly i expected a little bit more but it make me happy accomplish this visit to my bucket list 🤗

It’s a very classy cafe, the decor is beautiful it transport you directly in the late 1800s. The place is huge and you have a ton of option for pastries. We got the carrot cake and strawberry cheese cake, both were excellent and fresh. The service was quick and good. We totally recommend this place if you are around.

We were looking for some dessert for after dinner and this place was closed by. We had some apple mince pie, a slice of tart, a puff pastry with fresh cream and strawberries and affogato. I think some of the dessert like mince pie should be warm up for it to taste good. The Affogato was a bit small and the tart was extremely sweet with no other flavours to cut it. Overall, big place with many seats and a great varieties of dessert to choose from!

Italian place that serves lots of different cakes and pastries. We had american cream cheese cake, red velvet, cannoli and some drinks. The cakes were absolutely amazing, and my espresso martini was also great. The classic italian decor really added to the whole experience.

Veniero’s is my go to pastry stop in NYC. You can mix and match minis instead of committing to one big cannoli. I like the fruit tarts, the chocolate chip dome, and the small layered cakes. Everything has been fresh and not overly sweet. The vibe is old school New York with long glass cases and a steady crowd. It gets busy at night, but the line moves. Prices feel fair for the quality. Pro tip: build a small box so you can taste a few different things. Easy walk-over stop after drinks or dinner, and you can usually eat outside if it is not packed. Staple spot.

my friend wanted tiramisu for his birthday so i searched for the best in the city & veniero’s came up. my friend was familiar with the place but had never gone so we’re decided to give them a try. the vibe is very cozy but busy pastry counter with an amazing selection. the tiramisu changed his life, & now when he thinks of tiramisu this is the one he’ll picture! i also tried the chocolate mousse which was yummo!

We visited Veniero’s and picked up a box of pastries. The strawberry tarts were fresh and creamy, and the cannoli with pistachios was delicious. What I really liked is that the desserts weren’t overly sweet, and the small size makes it easy to try different kinds at once. Everything looked beautiful and felt homemade.

The cakes and pastries here are outstanding, but the biscotti are very average. The almond and sesame were good, the others were not particularly flavorful. It was $6.5 for three cookies if you eat in the dining room.

I have been to the city many times over the past few years. I finally made my way into this gem of a bakery. Between the cakes, muffins and pies there is something for your palate. I chose the carrot cake cupcake. It did not disappoint. There was a perfect balance of sweet and savory. There was a hint of ginger and it was moist but not wet as some carrot cakes/muffins can be. The cream cheese frosting was soooo good. I wish had also gotten the hostess cupcake. Yes that’s right like the ones from your childhood. Except these are made fresh and not processed. See photo. Thanks to the staff who were super nice and the ambiance is what I would expect of a fanciful bakery. My rating is 5 stars.

Such a cozy little cupcake spot in Nolita — it feels super homey, like everything was baked with love right in someone’s kitchen. The vegan cookies and cream cupcake was seriously delicious (moist, not overly sweet), and the red velvet was really good too. Definitely want to come back to try their popular chocolate cake next time. Only downside is that their website could use a little refreshing — it doesn’t quite match how cute and warm the shop feels in person.

Popped in to try some sweets. The S'mores bar was a 3.5/5 as it was a little dry. The Nutella Bar was a 4/5. The Apple Crumb Bar was a 5/5 and was by far my favorite. I'd come back just for that. The service was great as the staff members were super nice and professional and there was no wait.

Giving stars because the shop looks nice and the workers were decently understanding when I expressed my concerns about their brownies. The cupcakes and brownies are very overrated and too sweet. They look delicious but the taste doesn’t match up unfortunately. Everything is overpriced for a mid cupcake. The rice Krispie treats may be the best thing there though! Overall, I wouldn’t come back

The strawberry cake flavor is decent but the texture is dry and needs to be more moist. For $10 per cake slice, I expect a higher quality product. The Brooklyn Blackout cake is not good and has a weird after taste.

It's cute and cozy. Always go there when I crave a gluten free cupcake. They're the best I had in NYC. Their vegan chocolate cupcakes are amazing as well. I would imagine the non gluten free cake and cupcakes are as good if not better from all the happy sugared faces.

My daughters treated me to a delicious raspberry vegan bar 3 years ago. I loved it!!! They have since shipped the same bars to me out of state. Came into town to spend my birthday with them and upon my arrival… my favorite bar waiting for me. I was so excited until I had my first bite and immediately noticed the bar is simply not the same bar. The crust is now very cake-like and devoid of flavor. The ingredients that made this bar my go to dessert in NYC have definitely changed and not for the better. It’s as if the ingredient list has been pared down to the bare minimum and the taste and texture reflects this sad change. Unfortunately, I will not return to LCB while visiting NYC nor ask for a special shipment.

Very tempting butter aroma, the croissant was really good, with almond filling inside and a cookie-like crispy outside. Maybe the croissant was so good that the cinnamon roll looked ordinary. The store also sells sandwiches, lunch salads and soups, with a lot of choices. It is a bakery that has won many awards, I will come back to buy croissants and try other foods.

Signs announcing that this bakery has been awarded best baguette and best croissant are all over the walls of this bakery with good reason. Upon entering, you’re confronted with a really mesmerizing display of breads and pastries, and the bakers in-store are happy to discuss their products and help you make a selection. Because I am limited to the confines of my human organs, I could not eat everything and picked an almond croissant and a chocolate rugelach. The almond filling was delicious and smooth, and nothing was too sweet: completely perfect. I’m a little traditional with rugelach, and I think this felt a little more like a mini chocolate croissant to me, but it was delicious nonetheless! Will be returning.

Total waste of money. Insane you buy an almond croissant and you get neither of the distinctive traits that makes a pastry an almond croissant: the studded almond crust on top, and the almond filling inside. My crust had literally two tiny flakes of an almond. That’s it. 2 shavings. And absolutely nothing inside. Even as a basic croissant this sucked, it was flat and had no lift or air inside. Staff were nice but they can’t save this total disappointment of a pastry. Edit: In response to the reply, there was nothing inside. Zoom in on the pics and judge for yourself.

I usually stop by 2–6 times a week for the carb-loaded goodness. Lately, though, I’ve discovered a new perk here: the staff’s talent for such engaging conversations with each other that customers at the register become invisible. Watching 4–5 staff members ignore you on your way to work is… impressive. I leave with money still in my pocket and arrive at work on time. I’m starting to think this might be the best deal in town.

Went to the Union Square location- lives up to its reputation as a go-to spot for artisan breads and delectable sandwiches. We started with their sourdough bread to go, which is a standout. The slow-fermented organic sourdough had a perfect balance of tangy flavor and a chewy, airy crumb, encased in a golden crust. If you’re a sourdough enthusiast, this is a must-try. The olive and cheese breadsticks were another highlight. And we also got croissant and palmiers were superhit. They were a fantastic snack on their own. We sat and I ordered the egg salad sandwich. My wife ordered the roasted bell peppers sandwich with cream cheese on sourdough bread was the star of the meal. The roasted bell peppers were sweet and smoky, paired beautifully with the rich, tangy cream cheese. The sourdough bread provided a sturdy yet soft base that soaked up the flavors without falling apart. The combination was simple yet executed with such precision that every bite was a delight. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the experience even more enjoyable. Prices are on the higher side, as expected for an artisan bakery in NYC, but the quality justifies the cost.

We ordered a heart-shaped cake in the Crowd Pleaser for our wedding and it was absolutely perfect! We live in the neighborhood and it meant so much to be able to have a local favorite for our wedding cake! And we love that we can grab a cupcake for anniversaries...or just when we need a sweet treat!

Been there twice in 1 week, while spending the holidays in NY with my family. The staff is so nice and friendly, and you can really taste authentic American pastries - cupcakes, cheesecake, pies of any kind, brownies and sì much more. As an Italian, I strongly recommend it!

I went to Billy’s bakery for the first time and I got a red velvet cupcake (my personal favorite flavor) and it was amazing, love the texture of the cupcake and the cream cheese frosting brings it all together. Will definitely go back to try more. 💯

When I showed up with this cake, which was already a surprise for the special guest, she immediately saw the bag and was ecstatic to see it was from Billy's Bakery. They depicted Miffy perfectly, and the taste was also spot on! Would definitely order with BB again in the future for any occasion!

West Side Diamond in the rough 👍👍 Sullivan’s has fresh baked breads, pizza, sandwiches, & wine. The breads will likely be the highlight since it is sold to restaurants in the area. It is a quaint spot with a hip crowd. PROS: 1) quality & freshness 2) good lunch options 3) wine & Mimosa is a nice touch 4) established on a quiet street 5) outdoor seating CONS: 1) uncomfortable chairs & stools 2) $5 for a donut. Ouch

On a particularly warm and golden Wednesday afternoon, a few friends and I made our way to Sullivan Street Bakery—a spot I had been meaning to visit for some time. Nestled on West 47th Street, the space had an inviting charm: sunlit interiors, rustic tiling, and that unmistakable scent of fresh bread weaving through the air. We ordered: – Strecci Pomodoro – simple, satisfying, and rich with the kind of flavor that speaks to well-honed craft. – Peach Pastry – golden, flaky, and gently sweet, with a seasonal brightness that landed just right. The food, without question, was enjoyable, and the interior carried a kind of quiet, rustic hospitality that made it easy to settle in. Unfortunately, the experience was dimmed by the service. The barista on duty was noticeably curt, almost dismissive, which shifted the energy in a way that was hard to ignore. And while I’m not one to linger on negatives, there’s something about service—especially in a place that celebrates warmth and craft—that shapes everything. Before we left, we had hoped to try another pastry, but what we saw gave us pause: multiple flies hovering near the display, some landing directly on the pastries. For a bakery of this reputation, it was unexpected—and honestly disappointing. I rarely feel compelled to voice critique, but in this case, the experience didn’t reflect what I had hoped. Still, I recognize the quality of their baked goods and the history behind the name. Perhaps it was just an off day. But in a city full of exceptional bakeries, the details—both in taste and in treatment—matter.

This is hands down the best focaccia bread I’ve had in New York, crispy on the outside, perfectly fluffy on the inside, and always fresh. Everything here is made with care, and it shows. The space is clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great spot to journal or unwind in the morning. The staff, especially Spencer, are warm and friendly, adding to the overall experience. A true neighborhood gem.

A fabulous addition to my bread-adventures, I braved a walk through times square (which would be terrifying in any conditions) in horribly aggressive wind I swear to god it was like getting run over by a pack of bulls but anyway I survived and I made it and I followed the festive Sullivan Street flag into this fine establishment. I was greeted by a rush of warm, foccacia scented air and an array of beautiful baked things. All of their bread sounded great but I went with the Truccione! An interesting choice since I'm one person and I think it would feed a family of twelve (GREAT price considering that). I'm still working my way through it. It's nice and airy inside, soft, nutty, with a great crust. It's making things like this sandwich you see here possible. I'm over the moon with it. Excited to try more of their breads

This was a lovely unpretentious bakery to have breakfast in. I had the breakfast sandwich, which though my picture of it is unexciting, was delicious, with rich Gruyère’s cheese, sausage and egg in a flaky croissant. I also had a cup of tea, which came from a really nice tea brand called “In pursuit of tea” (which aptly I then pursued to try and find that brand to buy to take home whilst I was there, and then never found). I wish I could have been there longer to try the interesting looking pizzas and pastries, but I did take home a lemon ring doughnut, which even when eaten the next day was fresh, light and just sweet enough, and not greasy, a truly perfect doughnut. Staff were super friendly and there was a nice atmosphere, though probably the seating area could be a bit cosier. Overall, really outstanding baked goods, would definitely revisit.

How is this place still living in the early days of vegan baking. These two dry cupcakes were almost $18. One is chocolate and other is lemon it tasted like oil, very disappointed. There are too many good places to try in the city unfortunately won’t be coming back. I did had a lemon loaf a long time ago that was tasty.

My fiancé and I were walking around the area and we unexpectedly stumbled upon this bakery. Initially we were just going to get him a donut but then we realized they were gluten free and allergy friendly so we got the iced lemon blueberry loaf and biscuits as well. The Samoa donut was amazing, soft and moist! The loaf was really good as well. When you go to most gluten free bakeries they over compensate for the lack of gluten with sugar and I usually can’t eat much of it but here they use a good balance of sweeteners, as well as natural ones. I can’t wait to try more items in the future!! The employees were very nice and helpful.

One of my favorite bakeries in the city. Every year my family gets me my birthday cake from Erin McKenna’s and I absolutely love it. I’m a chocolate girl and their brownie cakes are to die for! Occasionally when I’m in the area. I would stop by a grab a cupcake or two because why not! I look forward to eating my birthday cakes every year and can’t wait for this one! Many options and variations of desserts to choose from, if you’re in the area. You have to stop by!

Should be called a scone and have a different shape because so dense and not fluffy at all 2.lemon donut: very good 3.coconut donut: nice texture of the frosting, quite sweet, couldn't eat more than 1/3 4.pumpkin spice loaf (fall): dense (not fluffy) but soft and great flavors. only can eat 1/3 or 1/2 in one sitting. good overall and satisfies your sweet tooth. Could omit frosting, doesn't add much apart from make it sweeter 5.chocolate/brownie bite: dense, very rich, sweet, small and satisfying (almost a bit small), one more bite would be ideal 6.mocha donut: donut base tastes like lemon. frosting taste like coffee. expected the frosting to be crunchy because of the "crumble"-like texture but it tastes like frosting and is smoother than one may think. Very pretty 7.sprinkle (pink) vanilla donut: very good donut, although quite sweet and, once again, dense (not fluffy or light). almost a hint of lemon, perhaps from cross contamination. Took off the frosting 8.chocolate crumb cake : decadent, sweet and rich. syrup glaze on top (chocolate). sort of syrup that is unnecessary. The cake tastes a bit off, probably because I'm used to regular chocolate cake with wheat flour? looks fluffier than it tastes. the top of the cake is sweeter but more moist than the bottom (almost as if cooked in 2 times). too sugary. 9.jalapeño cheddar biscuit: disgusting. dry, tastes off. doesn't preserve well. gross. Staff is friendly, baked goods are ideal for a tea party, dessert for yourself or a gift

The staff was very friendly and helpful with providing recommendations. The agave chocolate crumble cake was fudgy, moist, and flavorful. Unfortunately, the carrot cake cupcake was dry and underwhelming. Looking forward to trying the donuts the next time I go.

Mission: Put together a selection of vegan goodies for my son's 40th birthday. The process: Not being in Manhattan, in fact, being in NC, I had to Google vegan bakeries and there's quite a few. After viewing a dozen websites, I called a half dozen to inquire about building a spectacular selection for a surprise gift. I read over a hundred reviews to determine options and finally came up with what I felt was a perfect variety. Ordering was . . . . a piece of cake, so to speak. We ran through the menu items, decided on quantities and talked about the delivery. I requested pictures before they delivered and they complied and are attached to this review. Courteous, professional, timely and customer focused, and, by the way, the cakes, brownies and cookies were, as I heard, quite delicious. I'm only sorry I didn't get to try anything. 15/10 recommended, you should try it.

Absolutely loved this bakery! I've been waiting years to visit here on pilgrimage from the UK, and got to see the newly refurbished shop interior on the day it reopened in January 2020. Definitely not disappointed - there was a wide range of gluten-free and vegan cakes, cookies and doughnuts available. All of them were great! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and served with the biggest of smiles. Kinda wish I lived across the pond so that I could visit more often, but at least I know now that I'm baking correctly from the recipe books! Looking forward to visiting again someday soon.

A fairly standard NYC bakery with fairly standard prices (so a little expensive). Buns and other treats start above $4 and go to about $5.50. They’re not bad at all, and I’d happily come back and grab stuff in a pinch next time I’m around.

The place looks nice and the staff was friendly. However, the prices are ridiculous! Two small tarts cost over $20, and a small cake is $60. A double chocolate cookie is “only” $6.50. I think nothing is cheap in this neighborhood, but this price point is surreal. The taste of the two overrated and super expensive tarts was fine. Nothing worth more than $6. The lemon tart tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. The apple tart tasted better. Unfortunately, this was my first and last time giving this local business a chance. I really much support local businesses, but the price point needs to make sense. For this reason, I won’t be going back.

I was invited to dinner at a friend's home and was asked to bring dessert. I bought an apple tart for $50 at this bakery. I never have a problem paying for quality. The apple tart was mediocre at best and certainly not good enough to warrant the $50 price. All who tasted it were in agreement. The staff were friendly and the service was good however that means nothing if the product is not good enough.

Nice bakery in a good location. Good variety of pastries, all fresh. We took the morning glory muffin and the chocolate chips brioche which were ok. The coffee was good and they had oat milk

The staff knows exactly what they have and are glad to tell you all the ingredients. I really like their pastries and bread and I love the new clean, bright store. The brioch is delicious. Actually, everything I've ordered is really good.

Pros: One of the best bakeries in Manhattan with many varieties of the menu. Staff is friendly and respectful. Baguette lovers will be satisfied there. All the bakeries is fresh on daily basis. There's a nice outdoor dining area. The a nice list of hot drinks. Prices within the mid range for au h quality. Overall rating is 09/10. Cons: The shop inside is a bit small for many customers. Otherwise can't complain.

July 2, 2025, I visited this bakery, and to my surprise the pastries I tried were delicious,tasty and fresh. The place is very clean beautiful. They have a variety of pastries to choose from. The service was great as well. The only drawback was that it was very hot and no AC on this day. I talked to the supervisor and she acknowledged that it was not working and they called someone to fix the AC . This is why I gave a 4, but I will definitely be back.

One of my favorite places!! The French Workshop is a true gem! The pastries are always fresh and delicious, the coffee is perfect, and the cozy atmosphere makes it the ideal place to relax and escape the stress of the day. It’s one of my favorite spots—every visit feels like a little taste of Paris. They have a variety of pastries, sandwiches, drinks, etc!! I love it!!!

my family & i love the pastries here !! 💟 it's usually pretty packed here from my experience but so worth it. it's super unique from any other bakery ive been to in queens. they have special pastries for different occasions, which is part of the reason why i love it here. the place is kinda small but have seating inside & some outside. it is pricey but they taste delicious & the craftmanship/presentation of each pastry takes skill/time. i've never seen an ugly pastry from here! 😂🥰

So these two cheesecake tarts were purchased yesterday. I was trying to slice the tarts into bite pieces until I saw a hair or a hairlike thing right under the strawberry cheesecake tarts with the syrup that holds the tart to the gold paper. I believe it is hair from the employee, but it looks very fragile. I hope that the employee washed their hair….. I took the hairs out to take a picture and the hairs were definitely inside the syrup under the tart. It can happen, but it can be preventable. I am very uncomfortable and afraid that I have to check their desserts for any hairs in the future. It would be nice if the manager or the supervisor can check for hairs before selling to customers.

As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I never leave negative reviews—no matter how bad the food is—because I understand what goes into it, and I don’t want to do that to my fellow hospitality peers. But as a classically French-trained chef, I can’t stay silent on this one. It’s frankly abhorrent that a shop dares to call itself a “French Artisan Bakery” when it can’t even execute a simple pound cake correctly. I’ve seen 14-year-olds turn out better pound and marble cakes than this place. And at these prices? I’d be mortified to serve something like this. The pound cake was dry as a corpse, cloyingly sweet with an odd chemical sharpness, and had a crumb so brittle it reminded me of a millennial dad’s annual pedicure foot shavings. Nothing here was redeemable. As we say in the industry, “you’re only as good as your last dish.” Save your money—and your palate.

Very popular local Bayside Queens NY bakery. Multiple classic choices like crème brûlées and cannolis. Lots of choices of drinks. Very good quality. Be prepared to stay in line.

I stopped by to purchase a birthday cake for my husband. Got Red Velvet. It looked pretty, but tasted just a little bit dry (it stayed in our fridge two days until we cut it though). The cream was okay, but I prefer milkier cream cheesier version. I anticipated the best Red Velvet cake and it was not. Since I was inside I could not resist a pastry. Chose a lemon tart. It wasn’t too sweet which I did like. I will shop there again if I am in the neighborhood, but I will choose a different cake next time ( even though Red Velvet is usually one of my favorites ). It is quite convenient that there is a parking lot and Petco next door.

I went tonight after reading the high reviews. It was close to closing time so the cashier had a bit of annoyance when she asked if we were staying and I said—yes. She promptly asked that we make it fast—we did. My curiosity made me overlook this substandard service. I bought the strawberry shortcake, mango kiwi mousse cake and the chocolate croissant. They get a 10 for their presentation but both cakes were disappointing. The mango kiwi mousse cake had a jiggly jello consistency—I did not taste the richness of a mousse—though the flavor was good. The strawberry shortcake felt almost hard and tasted tart. The chocolate croissant would have been the most promising if I had gotten it right after baking. It had the right amount of chocolate but stale from the morning (I hope). I will not be returning here.

Solid. I have been coming here for many years. I love the egg and cheese croissants as well as any quiche they make. I was there morning of 10/13/24 and the team was exceptional. The packing shows thoughtfulness and precise execution. Excellent job morning-team!

My family have been getting baguettes from here for as long as I can remember. They are heavenly, fresh, and tasty. Lately I've been getting their pastries, and they are just as amazing. OMG the tiramisu is phenomenal. Must try, if just the baguettes have had us for decades.

They have good coffee , they also serve other beverages and the pastry is excellent. They also serve sandwiches but the variety is limited. Plenty of parking.

As a loyal customer of Cannelle Patisserie for years, I can confidently say it’s hands down the best bakery in Jackson Heights! Even after moving from the area, I find myself returning time and again because no other place compares. Everything here is just incredible—from the perfectly flaky almond croissants to the rich and decadent Espresso 31 cake. The bread pudding is an absolute must-try as well, with its melt-in-your-mouth texture and flavors that leave you craving more. Every bite of their pastries is pure bliss, and it’s impossible to leave without wanting to come back for more. Cannelle Patisserie is truly a gem that consistently delivers on quality and taste. If you're in the area (or even if you're not!), this bakery is absolutely worth the visit. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve read online that this is one of the top-rated bakeries of the city. This an amazing Greek bakery that sells all kinds of sweet and savory baked goods. My best friend loves when I get her the pineapple cheese strudel because I know she loves pineapple. When she ate it for the first time she was pleasantly surprised that it had real pieces of pineapple in it. I love any baked that’s custardy or cheesy and this bakery has lots of those. I try to come to this bakery from time to time.

Came here for the first time just a few days ago and have been thinking of all the years I've wasted in NYC by not eating these delicious pastries. I have been craving more and will be going back next week. Because there's quite a few options, my advice if you can't decide is to get everything. The staff is really helpful and kind.

During my midday walk, I stumbled upon this fantastic Greek bakery. Walking inside, you are transported to what feels like a combination of a European bakery, and a New York coffee shop. What lies inside of the glass pastry cases are jewels so beautiful that the sight they behold cannot be understood merely by seeing or smelling (much like one’s first experience on the Subway). One must taste to fully understand. Now my experience was somewhat limited by what I ordered, but it should not deter you from the fact that I was an adult in a bakery (just as dangerous as a kid in a candy shop imo) limited by my cash situation and not my desire to eat more. The savory meat pastry was one of the best things I’ve had in New York City. It’s really hard for the average person to understand how impressive it is to achieve what they are doing. The meat pie I had was simply perfect. Flaky phyllo throughout without any gumminess, juicy and flavorful filling stuffed generously inside the buttery layers of dough. I’m not one for transcendent experiences, but I was just out of my mind shocked how good this was. I actually had to stop what I was doing to focus on eating this incredible meat pie. Follow your dreams, follow your taste buds, don’t count the calories, try everything, enter that food coma, have an espresso to get back after it, maybe another, sleep (if you can), repeat.

Poseidon are specialized in greek bakery. I am not very familiar with greek sweets so I tried some that looks friendly to my taste, the baklava, pineapple strudel and galactoburiko or the custard one. I find the baklava very sweet, also the galactoburiko, both literally dipping in sugar syrup, but the cheese in galactoburiko balance it out so I enjoyed it. The cheese and pineapple one is very tasty, not too sweet, anyways, I really like phylo dough so I really enjoyed those. And I love the fact that the shop is a 100 years old!! The shop is tiny but cutely decorated in blue and white, and there's the shop history painted on the wall, very insteresting.

I visited Poseidon Greek Bakery today, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM, but unfortunately the shop was closed. The owner should update the opening hours to avoid wasting customers’ time.

This bakery has been family run since 1923 and it’s been in the same location for over 60 years. That’s a pretty impressive accomplishment. We have often walked by the Poseidon Bakery and on Saturday evening, we ventured inside. They have the most delicious baklava I’ve ever tasted! The bakery has an interesting selection of strudels and Greek specialties. They also have a family wall of photos and paintings that give the history of how the business evolved.I’m not Greek but this will be my new favorite bakery.

Everything you want in a Greek bake shop! Small intimate place that oozes authenticity as well as sweet aromas. Total Greek vibes and incredibly delicious baked goods. Finikia, baklava and galatobouriko are outstanding! Mother and Son running the show... Bravo!

Supermoon Bakehouse has a very edgy trendy interior mixed with such unique flavor combinations which is what drew me here in the first place. My friend and I had a hard time deciding what to get because everything seemed so interesting. We went with the strawberry matcha croissant, Banana pudding cruffin, and white Sesame, honeycomb & sweet soy gelato. We started by tasting the gelato which wasn't as punchy in flavor as we had hoped. The banana cruffin had great banana custard filling but we wished the textural difference between the pudding and the crisp croissant was more drastic. The matcha strawberry croissant was my personal favorite. ACTUAL matcha flavor which is hard to find nowadays and the croissant was so buttery and held its own against the sweetness of the strawberry! After trying everything else and the gelato melted a little the flavors popped out more! Definitely give this place a shot if you want to try new and interesting flavors!!

I love creative bakeries like this, who don't settle for the ordinary and try the daring. I gave their chilli croissant and the ube eclair a try. The chilli croissant had a nice flaky texture, as you would expect from any good bakery. The chilli cream cheese was inserted in the middle of the croissant, which meant it wasn't evenly distributed. The flavours were nice though and it's worth trying for something different. The ube eclair was done well. The choux pastry was just right. The uber icing and ube centre was just the right level of sweetness, with little candy pieces decorated on top, giving a nice crunchy texture. It was certainly the highlight. Would definitely recommend stopping by to try their creations. Not cheap, but it's all about the art.

Got the spicy nyc croissant (savory, not really spicey, has cream cheese inside with hints of black pepper), and scallion pancake Danish (i like this savory croissant, not spicey, has nice crunch texture, very good, would get this again) Thai tea eclair also very good, tasty, taste just like Thai tea 😁 I was able to sit inside, limited seating. Also it gets busy, so go early,things could sell out and they will post a sold out label in front of the items. I don't go often, but every time I come here there's always a variety of pastries to choose from sweet to savory and all good and worth trying.

Admittedly, social media brought me here, but—unlike other TikTok inspired food journeys—this was well worth it. I see some of the reviews touch on the brutalist architecture of the store, and I understand if that’s not your vibe but I personally loved it: I felt like I was in some video game or sci-fi 80s movie that involved dark warehouses and hidden pastries… although the pastry isn’t hidden: a lineup of croissants, eclairs, cookies and more are displayed along the counter and the very pleasant (and patient) pastry experts behind the counter and very sweet about helping you make a choice. I went with the ube eclair, which is probably the best eclair I’ve ever had. All of their treats are very pretty, but this one has an equally vibrant purple filling and the flavors were the perfect balance of buttery, salty, creamy and sweet. Fully intend on returning because I almost went for the Thai tea eclair and now I want it more.

Finally made a point of visiting this high performance bakery. Very spartan concrete & steel space with the functioning bakery behind a red toned industrial polyurethane curtains. All available items are placed on a 16’ stainless steel island. A little over 20 items were displayed on my visit from ice cream sandwiches to sweet pastries to baguette sandwiches for take away. I chose the passion fruit custard donut, mango lime custard donut, Thai iced tea bi-color croissant, ube éclair along with one scoop of Thai iced tea and Kaya toast gelato & a scoop of sesame honeycomb and sweet soy gelato in a cup. The gelato texture was quite excellent and the flavor was certainly unique and rich. I enjoyed them both. We saved the pastries for an after dinner dessert. The flavor of the passion fruit custard donut & ube éclair were absolutely exemplary. The mango/lime custard donut was very tasty as well. The croissant was larger than most due to the luscious Thai iced tea custard lurking within! All the pastries were filled abundantly! The two gentlemen at the island were all smiles & clearly confident of all the offerings. They were knowledgeable & helpful too. The items are expensive but that’s more a statement of the quality ingredients & labor intensive demands of each handmade product. I highly suggest a visit. It is a very worthwhile trip.

Talk about cool…. This place gives retro-futuristic vibes, like I could see a robot serving up the orders but also an actual really cool human waitress. The customer divide was nice and the pastries were even better. I do not like eclairs at all - or so I thought. The Thai tea eclair was soooo good. I also got the strawberry matcha latte croissant and it was divine. The strawberry flavor alone was so delicious like strawberry milk. I love how they were sold out of things but still had a good selection left by the end of the day and it wasn’t stale. Will definitely be back here. It’s not your average bakery

Unfortunately did not have the greatest experience. Got 2 ice cream sandwiches which came to about $24 and the ice cream was melting before even opening the packet. They did add seating in the front so we were able to sit and eat there but it was a mess since the ice cream was essentially soup. There also wasn’t enough staffing to do the work in the back and mind the front so they weren’t helpful with quality control, we ended up asking for spoons because it was spilling out the of package and onto the table. Taste wise, the sandwich part was great, just wish we got to experience it as it was meant to be.

We went on a Sunday so street parking was not that difficult. We got some cupcakes because they looked pretty and the flavors sounded great but they all tasted horrible and were very hard that we each took one bite of each item then threw it out. We also got the pecan bar and a peanut butter Nutella one - both were not worth the price and my kids hated it. We also ended up throwing them out. Also the employee that was helping us seemed very impatient which caused us to feel flustered and I didn’t get to order more than I would usually for trying a bakery for the first time - albeit I have to say it benefited us since we didn’t like anything we did get so would just have been an added waste of money.

Went there because it's the only cafe close to my work. Place is small and expensive. When it comes to food and drink, it's very bad. I had a latte and a cheese biscuit. The biscuit and latte tasted terrible, and it was expensive. I spent more than $10 and had to throw out my drink and biscuit. I would not go there again.

Pretty community-engaged bakery. Cute space with seating inside. 🥐❤️‍🔥Croissant was out of my expectations! Their croissant reminded me of the pineapple bun in Chinese bakeries. It was brick-liked crunchy outside, soft and pliable inside. I made myself a sandwich at home. The apple spiced cake was a classic. Moist but a little bit oily for me. The brownie and cookie thing was the same. Delicious but slightly too oily.

Quaint shop with plenty of indoor seating and lots of dessert options to choose from. Blueberry muffin was a classic and the matcha tea was yummy!

So happy we went with Baked for our wedding cake. From the very first tasting, Annemarie was warm, professional, and easy to work with. On our wedding day, the cake was stunning — it looked exactly how we imagined and tasted incredible. We ended up going with the citrus passionfruit, red velvet, and almond matcha (our personal favorite). Usually not a cake person, but Baked cakes are undeniably delicious

Our wedding guests continue to tell us how great our desserts were—even many months later! So we had to make sure to send our thanks to Baked! We had a cutting cake with two different flavors: Oopsy Daisy on the top, Sweet and Salty on the bottom. Then we sent out platters of cupcakes to our tables of those flavors, plus a mix of others. Additionally, we were able to serve some gluten-free and vegan options for guests with dietary restrictions. Annemarie really helped us work through all the details beforehand, and everything turned out perfect on the day of. Again, we cannot thank them enough! Expect us to come back often, and especially on our anniversary, to pick up some treats!

This bakery is heaven!!! Like best almond croissant of my life kind of heaven. Can I say it was better than any baked goodies I had in Paris or is that too much?!?! Also the coffee is great but the Chai latte is even better. They use a real tea blend and not just from a box like most places. Nice seating options. Can’t wait to go back!

Good, but not great. Fay da has quite a bit to offer in variety but the quality is not quite what I remember in the past. I purchased a few taro buns and they were each very poorly filled, and I felt I was mostly just eating plain bread. They do have taro mochi which is good but also not particularly well filled. While prices are cheap, there's better value at other bakeries in the neighborhood. The inside of the bakery has a few tables where you can sit, which is really nice.

Fada Bakary on Mott Street is a beloved neighborhood café that has been serving the local community for years. It specializes in Hong Kong-style pastries and a daily variety of buns with different fillings. The bakery also offers traditional Hong Kong-style milk tea, staying true to authentic flavors. The space is clean, and the staff are patient and friendly. Although the bakery is usually busy, the staff work efficiently. When I visited, I had a hard time choosing because of the wide selection, but the cashier and staff were incredibly patient, answering all my questions with care.

We visited Chinatown in NYC and tried multiple places for food. This spot was a random walk-in, and wow—what a find! The bakery items we bought are now our breakfast, and they are absolutely spot on! So creamy and perfectly chewy! Love it!

Right in the heart of chinatown this bakery had everything i was looking for! I’ve been dying to try the viral fluffy cheesecake slices and had to try the chocolate cake pastry, pound cake and pork buns. Everything was reasonably priced. The cashier was friendly and most importantly the food was AMAZINGGG!!

Mango mochi had decent mango flavor and was affordable. However, it was too soft and lacked the satisfying chew you expect from mochi. I also wasn’t a fan of the coconut flakes on the outside.

I don’t know if its just me but I noticed the famous cheese mamon are so different now from the one they are selling 3 years ago. They didn’t just change the packaging but the recipe as well. The packaging looks flat and the mamon as well. I hope they will bring back the old recipe mamon because now I won’t recommend anymore Red Ribbon. Better buy almond sponge cake from Rainbow bakery taste even better.

My family and i have ordered the Mango Supreme cake for years….today we ordered it and wow. What an absolute let down. The cake looks like they counted the pieces of mangoes they put on it. Its smaller than usual and on top of that they raised the prices. So dissatisfied. Advertisement says its filled with mango and there was none. Ugh so sad you guys have lost long time customers!!!

Bought three packages of Mammon butter, and they all have mold. Their best-by date is 5/29. I'm really disappointed. My hard-earned money was wasted because the workers did not check the quality of their food. I would not recommend this place.

The Galato was delicious, Marzipan good, atmosphere super cute, you will be spoilt for choice in cakes and pasteries. Coffee was a little ordinary but I'm a coffee snob and it's a pastry shop not a coffee shop. Definitely worth trying out.

What terrible, terrible desserts. Like the other posts on how bad the desserts are, I should've read the reviews before spending money here. 1. Rainbow sprinkles on the cookie was soft. 2. The cake we ordered was clearly old. Whomever is rating this place with more than 1 star is fine with bad food. My wife and I were so excited to visit this place after seeing on channel 11. Please take your money elsewhere.

Horrible costumer service!! i always order from them on uber eats and they never ever follow any instructions! I asked them to put the order in a plastic bag, since the uber drivers drop the food on the floor, and they never put it in a plastic bag with a box!! I ordered a bunch of pastries and they all arrived sweaty and melted and they had no box and no plastic bag! They were simply put inside of a PAPER BAG!! And nothing protecting between the paper bag and the items. Which then the uber drivers always drop the food on the floor and knowing that there is nothing protecting the food but only a thin paper layer is not okay!

There is definitely an old-world charm to La Guli Bakery, located on Ditmars Blvd. in Astoria. This old Italian family-owned business, whose granddaughter now runs the establishment, has been in the same building for decades. If you are looking for a traditional Italian pastry experience, this has been my go-to since my childhood. They used to be the best bakery, hands down. From homemade cakes to gelatos, you name it—they were fantastic. I make it a point to visit here every once in a while, and today was the day before they shut down for a week of vacation. Upon entering, my partner and I still had the same feeling and smell of the bakery and had the whole store to ourselves, which made it easier for us to choose the strawberry shortcake, chocolate eclair, fruit tart, and glazed Napoleon. Unfortunately, the freshness wasn’t there, as the cream in the Glazed Napoleon was dry and not even sweet. It’s a shame that a bakery that used to be known for its quality pastries is no longer the same.

Working with Maria at La Guli was such a distinct pleasure. She is a genuinely kind-hearted and caring business owner and knows her baked goods as they are beyond delicious. Wish we lived in the neighborhood so we could come more often. We hired her to do our wedding cake, a traditional Italian layered cake, and cannoli. Where other places either did not do them at all or would charge a premium that was not within our budget, she provided affordability, quality and delicious taste. Our guests loved the unique cake, devoured the cannolis and went back for second helpings. All that considered we still have some in our freezer months later. I paid $7.50(!!!) for a piece of Apple strudel, that was throughly disappointing. It tasted like it had been made several days ago… too many good pastry shops in Astoria to come back to this one.

I had a very good pain au chocolat and cream cheese/strawberry flaky pastry from here. Both were fresh and reasonable at $4 each.

Not what it used to be. Maybe my memory betrays me, but this old-fashioned donut is way sweeter and greasier than a few years ago. It’s contrary to Mah-Ze-Dahr’s philosophy of “not too sweet”. I stopped coming here because they never had the old-fashioned donuts whenever I visited—the brioche donuts are not a substitute. I was ecstatic to see it in the display case as it has been years since I had it, but it’s just not the same. Still pretty good though.

Amazing pastry! We loved this bakery. We stopped on our way and did not have high expectations. We took some pastry to go and it was amazing! We tried the traditional donut and brioche and seriously - so good! Highly recommend this bakery!

A very cute Cafe’ with Pastries, Croissants, Cakes and so much more. Very homely and nice ambience and a very kind and responsive staff. We tried Iced Mocha, Latte’, Coffee Cake and more… The coffee cake was really nice, very subtle level of sweetness and flavor. The Mocha was very good as well. If You’re walking about in the area, this is a GREAT place to stop by, grab some coffee and cake, chill.. Definitely recommend a good place to wind down and enjoy something sweet…

Their hospitality is unmatched! We placed an order for coffee and dessert and there was some confusion regarding the coffee order and they didn’t ring us up for it. And when we asked, they just gave it to us on the house despite us offering to pay! After paying for our order, we decided to buy their famous donut.. which they also gave on the house. This kind of service and hospitality are rare and create a strong sense of customer loyalty. Their taste is as hyped but 20/10 marks for warmth and hospitality

Paid $5.17 for a cappuccino that’s not listed on menu. Small cup but nice flavor & aroma. Pastry selection is a bit limited. Looked like most customers came for the coffee. Cozy spot but unfortunately no restroom for an indoor cafe. There is also outdoor seating which appeared quite comfortable under shaded umbrellas. Service was quick with no wait… AVERAGE I say

An absolute gem! We were waiting for our dinner reservation around that area and wanted to grab a quick coffee! The mocha almond croissant (I couldn’t resist it though we had a nice dinner planned for in an hour) was delicious! And the coffee was great too. The staff were super friendly and attentive to everyone walking in. Can’t wait to go back to try their brioche donut!

Beautiful cafe on the west side of Greenpoint on a nice street. The sourdough bagel is airier than a regular bagel, With fixings, I think the lack of density can be a little missing. Next time I'd probably just do the bagel with cream cheese. I liked the ham and cheese focaccia especially when I warmed it up on a skillet rotating the surface that touched the bottom. That I do recommend although you should have an appetite. It's a heavy item, very heavy.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt I had to share my experience today 3-3:30PM. I came to pick up a birthday cake I had ordered three weeks in advance for someone very special to me. I chose this bakery because of its great reputation for healthy, gluten-free cakes—and I was genuinely looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the service I received. When I walked in, I greeted the staff warmly with a smile and a “hello.” The woman behind the counter asked for my pickup name, and I gave it—adding that it was for a cake I had pre-ordered. She immediately cut me off and said, “I only asked for your name,” with a smirk, as if I had said something wrong. It felt unnecessarily rude, but I chose to stay polite and move on. What really upset me was what happened next. As she was handing me the cake, it suddenly tilted heavily to one side and nearly slipped out of the box. I had to catch it quickly with my own hands to keep it from toppling over completely. Despite this, she didn’t apologize or check to see if the cake was okay. She simply said, “Don’t worry, it’s fine,” and handed it over as if nothing had happened. Because of the tilt, the glitter decoration—which I had paid extra for—ended up smudged all over the clear part of the cake box. Because I was leaving for the out of town right after, I didn’t have time to request a replacement—but I left the store feeling very upset and disappointed. I also politely asked if they had a plastic knife I could use to cut the cake, and again, her response was dismissive and mocking. She laughed and said, “I’ve never heard of that,” as if it were a ridiculous question. I completely understand if they don’t provide plastic knives—but there’s a respectful way to say that without belittling the customer or comparing other bakeries in a sarcastic tone. And just to clarify, many bakeries do offer plastic knives for convenience—so it wasn’t an unreasonable question at all. I don’t know what kind of day she was having or why she felt the need to treat a customer this way—but for someone picking up a cake for a special occasion, it left a really bitter impression. This one interaction had the power to ruin what should’ve been a joyful and meaningful moment. For a place with such a strong reputation, I hope the management considers the impact staff attitude can have on a customer’s experience. No matter how good the product may be, the service still matters.

Working with Ovenly for our wedding cake was such a breeze! The ease started when they accommodated specific delivery instructions for the cupcake tasters. It went smooth and every taster was AMAZING! We emailed with Lynn and ordered our chocolate Stout with Raspberry filing cake. Around a week before our wedding we were able to add some cupcakes without a problem for non-chocolate loving friends. Lynn was understanding and answered quickly when I checked in just to make sure delivery was set the week before because I was being an anxious bride. Everything was delivered with no issue to the wedding venue day of. Everyone LOVED the cake and cupcakes. People across the room could smell the amazing dark chocolate stout cake once we did the first cut. We got asked for the bakery multiple times. The 12 inch fed a room of ~55 with enough left over for our 1 year anniversary piece to freeze. We loved working with Ovenly and plan on being returning customers for future events.

Ovenly is a solid dessert location with a variety of unique cakes, cookies and cupcakes. We tried the hot chocolate cookie and Brooklyn Blackout cupcake, both of which were tasty and not as overly sweet as some desserts. They use beer in the making of the Brooklyn Blackout, which added some unique flavor to the cupcake.

Friends and I planned a challenge to visit the best cookies in NYC. Ovenly was our first stop and we came here for its Salted Peanut Butter and the Daily Special - Salted Almond Chocolate Chunk. The Peanut Butter was one of our top 3, soft inside with strong PB smell and crunchy outside. The size was perfect for individuals. The Almond Chocolate Chunk was too salty on the layer and off balance with almond & chocolate. We also got a Ham & Cheese Croissant to share since it looked so appetizing in the display. However, even with our request to heat it up, the croissant was still served cold. It tasted not as good as what we expected. The decor was artsy and adorable with cozy ambiance, so we enjoyed our stay there (dining outside) even in a cold weather.

Cute coffee shop, cakes are on the dense side, good mix of savoury and sweet offerings. Coffee slightly too bitter for what I usually like. Very nice barista.

I ordered a soccer ball theme cake and a sprinkle cover cake for my brother and A hello Kitty, rainbow and cotton candy cake my sister and they were both amazing super full of flavor and perfect for family events and small groups. There were plenty for everyone even seconds. The ordering process was super easy and they were very easy to contact. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious and stress-free cake experience. Can’t wait for the other custom cake. So glad I found a cake store in the Bronx. And for my brothers seventh birthday, they did amazing cake. I try a new recipe and it was so good. I just wish they kind of put less of the frosting and more of the actual cake but it still taste so good. And here are the few pictures that was on the window ant the store and it looked amazing.

Conti’s is the absolute best bakery in the Bronx! I’ve been going to Conti’s for the last 6 years for all occasions. They are prompt with responding to cake quotes, and they make sure to listen to what you want in your designs. I needed custom cupcakes in 24hrs and they made it happen! The staff is amazing, always helpful and kind. Highly recommend if you want fresh cakes and pastries.

I was searching for a bakery to make my son’s 3rd birthday cake and my co worker recommended Conti’s. It was as easy as going to their website, uploading a picture of the cake and requesting a quote. They responded quickly and the price was reasonable with the option of delivery to my home. It was quick, easy and convenient. I was so pleased with their service and the cake was made perfectly. Exactly how like the picture I uploaded online. And can’t forget the cake was delicious! Everyone loved it.

Fabrique’s New York cardamom bun hits the spot when I need a sticky-bun fix, even if it’s not life-changing. Mine wasn’t warm or super fragrant, and the crumb leans dense rather than light and airy—but the cardamom flavor lands nicely, and the caramel glaze keeps it satisfying without veering into sugar overload. Fresh off a European pastry tour, I’d still give this a solid four stars. It won’t dethrone the buns I devoured abroad, yet for NYC it’s a thoughtful, well-made treat. Grab it with a coffee and you’ll walk away happy, just don’t expect a cloud-soft roll straight from the oven.

I couldn’t believe my eyes nor contain my excitement when I learned the renowned Swedish bakery had a shop stateside. Americans seem to be afraid of cardamom and never use enough to actually taste the spice. These cardamom buns are to die for. I ordered a couple to take home to Virginia because it’s so hard to find such good buns anywhere else. They have more than just cardamom buns; their bread is also great artisanal quality as well. If you’re looking for Scandinavian quality baked goods (they’re better than the French and the Germans) then this is your spot! I was even able to practice Swedish with the workers behind the counter which added to the experience. It made me miss Stockholm. A must stop every time I am in Chelsea.

Stopped in while walking in Chelsea. You can find baked goods every 100 feet in NYC. At Fabrique’s they bake their treats on site. The barista said the cardamom bun was the crowd favorite, I tried the passion fruit chia pudding as well, which is served with their toasted granola. Everything was great.

We ordered the Cardamom bun and the Brown Sugar bun. The cardamom was soft, airy, and flavour. Unfortunately, the brown sugar was stale, dry and hard to bite into. When I complained to the employees, they acknowledged their batch from today wasn’t great and gave me a second cardamom bun for free! LTDR; order the cardamom bun, ask for the freshness of the baked good and be wary of the other items!

I’m not sure if they’re training a new baker, but there’s a viable difference in the quality of the cardamom buns that are being made.

I've been on somewhat of a Swedish baked goods kick for the holiday season, so I checked out Fabrique to get a saffron bun, which I found to be really high quality. The raspberry cake was also really tasty. The coffee was a great price considering the quality and the size of the cup. My only critique was of the cafe itself, which felt a bit small and like it could utilize the space a bit more efficiently. In any case, I recommend a visit, especially for the baked goods.

We stayed down the block for three days and three nights and visited this bakery no less than three times because they are so amazing. One of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life is their lobster tail pastry. I didn’t know what I was missing before…it is perfection in a pastry. We also loved the chocolate milk mini cake and everything we tried seemed to be made with love. Lety is there day and night, and is so sweet and lovely. Amazing and I already miss it. We will be sure to return. ✨✨✨✨✨✨

I get amazing iced mocha’s and almond croissants from this place. The service is amazing, everyone is friendly, even when the bakers come out my partner, and I forgot our wallet and didn’t realize until we were about to pay. They offered for us to come back at our convenience and I thought this was the nicest thing ever. I will always return here and bring my out-of-state visitors for sweets.

This is such a nice little bakery with gelato inside too. They have great cakes and muffins. My favorite is the flan cheesecake. It is the perfect balance of sweets with 2 velvety creamy textures working so well together. Prices are fair and the staff is very patient. I will definitely be going back to try more.

Simple, elegant, yet one of the delicious and tasteful cake was made for my baby shower by Lety’a bakery. The reason her bakery set apart for us is due to the personal experience that she provided. We ordered 2 tier cake, first tier was the carrot cake and second tier was red velvet. All the guests raved about the carrot and the red velvet cake, I was so happy with it!!! I went early on a weekend and they had a good selection of items and it wasn't too busy. $26 got me an almond croissant, pignoli and Russian tea cookies (all pictured). Both of the cookies were PHENOMENAL, the almond croissant was just okay. I would definitely come back!

Tried this bakery for the first time and bought 3 items. They didn’t have a large selection of Chinese pastries like some of the other bakeries (no roast pork buns, pineapple buns etc). The curry beef pastries were the best! 5 stars for those. The chicken pastries were ok, too much onions and the not much chicken (3 stars). The round sponge cake with lemon was also very good (4 stars). Service was friendly.

We live in Brooklyn! Every time we come by Queens, we have to stop by this bakery! The curry bun is the best! We bought two cakes, one for visited to family and the other we took home. Sitting in the refrigerator for two to three days, the cream in side the cake was still delicious! Yummy!

We try this cake at a family party. It was amazing.!! So we decided to drive from Long Island for my sister's 50th birthday to get her one for her birthday. It absolutely did not disappoint. The cake looks beautiful with all fresh fruit and tasted even better lite fluffy. Just delicious.. We will definitely be back again

Excellent bakery! I've enjoyed everything I've tried here. The custard tarts are among the best I've ever had. Delicate, eggy, not too sweet. Obsessed with the Boston cream pie. Great cookies, I especially love the peanut and almond ones. I also like the curry beef puffs, sponge cakes, buns, moon cakes.

Wonderful cake, really fluffy! Totally worth it. It cost 25 dollars. And we also got other pastries, they are very tasty as well. The egg tart is super eggy flavored. Service fast and quick, when we walked in around noon there were no cue.

Pricey but portion is very large. It’s a simple but perfect spot for a bite. We were told the #7 was popular and were very happy with the choice. The meatballs were tasty and dog approved. The stuffed zucchini flowers and rice balls were okay.

Really glad I found this cafe. They are known for their focaccia sandwhiches. They make the focaccia bread in house. I like that it is family run. They make you feel very welcomed. I went with an ice latte this time and couldn’t resist the homemade pistachio donut. Will be back again for sure to have the focaccia sandwhich. There was a couple eating the focaccia sandwhiches sitting at the tables just outside the entrance and they looked huge and delicious. Bonus, they gave me a free sample of the Turkish Delight. It was very tasty. Took the donut on a hike in Woodstock that day. Waited till I got to the scenic overview to enjoy it. Was delicious and worth the wait. Good motivator for hiking the mountain.

Great customer service and amazing focaccia sandwiches—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful like authentic Italian focaccia. I couldn’t even stop to take a picture—they were that good! The dessert was also fantastic. A must-try!

We got the vegetarian Focaccia, and it was so good! The owner did mention the turkey and chicken options are halal, but we could not confirm if it was Zabiha (hand slaughter). We try to stick to Zabiha, so we chose the vegetarian option. Also, if you are someone who only eats cheese that is kosher ( no animal derived enzymes), we confirmed that the burrata and mozzarella are kosher. 10/10 would definitely recommend this place, and the customer service is top notch. It is very hard to find someone who is patient as the owner of this place was with our questions about halal status and also our dietary restrictions.

They were able to make us 90 or so loves of sourdough bread as a wedding favor!!! They came out adorable and delivered them packaged and fresh like this the morning of!! They even found tag ideas I ended up using!! Im a customer for life, thank you!!!

Very disappointing- came in for a sourdough baguette which was very good- that’s why I gave 4 stars for food. But the weakest most bitter drip coffee I’ve had in years - I tried to make it drinkable with more milk and sugar but it was beyond repair and after two sips I threw it out. Also ordered an almond croissant but received a chocolate one. I didn’t go back because the staff were not friendly and disinterested in engaging with me. Otherwise atmosphere was ok - no one else was in the shop despite it being a nice Sunday morning and other local places were very busy.

I don’t like their pastries. I ordered a croissant last time but it was stale. The interior is very dark and the service is not very welcoming. However, their hot cross buns are fantastic. This Aussie chain bakery is known for rolling out hot cross buns every year. Their chocolate flavor is a standout this year. It is piped with chocolate icing and filled with chocolate chips. It really impresses me from all the other regular flavored hot cross buns. FYI this is also the most expensive hot cross bun I’ve gotten. $5.17 after tax.

Came here based on a recommendation and I wasn’t disappointed. I had the almond croissant and carrot cake with Chai tea and everything was delicious! The cake was moist and the croissant was flaky. The space was also clean and welcoming. To top it all off I received excellent service from Sofia who was at the til. Would definitely come back!

Great Australian and contemporary food from this nice bakery/cafe with a good amount of seating, with tons of great savory items like sausage rolls, savory pies and croissants and sandwiches to choose from. For sweets they have cookies, cake slices and muffins. They also have a nice collection of breads, hot and cold drinks. We got the Shakshuka danish (great), pork and fennel sausage (great), chickpea eggplant feta and mint roll (decent) and the chocolate sour cherry cookie (good). They also have frozen down versions of their customer favorites to taken home. They did not have the Australian iced coffee though.

We loved living next to the original Bourke Street Bakery in Sydney many years ago, and so were excited to try the one here. Jup, it's great, we love it. The croissants and pastries are very well done, bringing a bit of Australia to NYC.

The line was definitely cray, but the ice cream was absolutely delicious and I instantly forgot about the wait upon my first spoonful! We tried the oolong white peach, the Hennessy flavor, the bourbon flavor, and two other flavors and everyone one of us immediately has a smile of delight after trying them. And the scoop sizes were actually pretty big (I'm glad I only got a single). Definitely a great stop for dessert!

Be prepared to wait in line to order and then wait some more to get your ice cream. Best to come here on a weekday. Came here on separate occasions and tried their lavender latte (not pictured), Vietnamese coffee (not pictured), raw milk, durian banana, burnt honey vanilla, and vanilla passion fruit. My favorite of the six was the burnt honey vanilla. Overall good flavors and really crispy waffle cone but would not wait in line for more than 20-30min to order, the ice cream is solid but at some point your time is more valuable Update: came back during an off peak time and tried the pineapple salted egg yolk, this has to be my favorite flavor. The bottom is strawberry yuzu.

Good ice cream, tried two flavours: hibiscus strawberry and pineapple egg yolk. They were good… but not that good. Pineapple one was too sweet, I got a bit sick of it at the end. Hibiscus strawberry was a bit artificial / icey. No samples, one flavour per scoop. Slow service and long line. Maybe we missed the mark on ordering the right flavors, but it was a sup-par scoop for me.

I would not call this New York City's best artisanal ice cream, but it is pretty good. Especially if you don't mind long lines, employees that don't seem to enjoy their work and probably the highest prices in the city. Note: They offer several types of vanilla, but refuse to provide samples for those of us unfamiliar with the complete product line.

Only one flavour in a small is so cruel. And I have no respect for such behaviours. However… this ice cream slaps. It’s so good. The pineapple salted egg yolk is unreal. Top 5 ice creams I’ve had. The vegan coconut purple rice is really good. I love the fun flavours. So like ya… it’s really good. Earns its pretentious vibes I guess. And the scoops are perfectly round. Like perfect. The menu is long, overwhelming, and confusing. They group by dominant flavour (ie which fruit is in it), and there’s like a million flavours. Be ready to order when you get to the front of the line. There’s always a line. It moves pretty fast.

The chill hits early—proud signage boasts a “no samples” policy, which is almost as unwelcoming as their rigid “no substitutions” rule. For $14, this sundae was more snowflake than snowstorm—small, underwhelming, and overpriced. Craving a shake? Don’t bother. Most of the machines were frozen in disrepair—three completely out of order, and another clearly limping toward a breakdown. Even the bathroom had thrown in the towel, out of service and as inaccessible as customer flexibility. One has to wonder: how do you serve the public in summer heat without a working restroom? Maybe all those “sample savings” should go toward defrosting basic operations. With warmer, friendlier dessert spots just steps away, this one’s an easy cold shoulder.

Easily one of the best traditional ice cream shops in Manhattan. But they also have the non traditional flavors. For those experimental, I highly recommend the salted egg pineapple (it’s giving Asian mooncake vibes) or the durian (mind blown).

Very typical French bistro fare. Nothing fancy. The desserts and the pastries are nice. Everything else is ok. Would not go out of my way to go to a Maison Kayser location, but if I happened to be close to one, I would consider it for lunch.

I was looking forward coming here. We came here with a group of 4 people for a Sunday's brunch. I have to admit it was really busy in the restaurant, but still, it felt like we had to wait for ages. Parts of our order was forgotten etc... The food itself was ok, but not wow. Also price quality wise not correct in my personal opinion. Some of us got huge plates for an ok price, while others paid almost $20 for a tiny plate. Such a shame, the place is very charming and cosy and the pastries are delicious! Maybe I'll go back in a calmer period, but for now not my go to brunch place...

My favorite cafe and dessert/ patisserie. I loooveeee everything they do with chocolate, you can try all of them are so good. There are so many shops all over New York that is so convenient. The bread is delicious too, and I like to grab something from their shop and cross to Bryant park to enjoy it. It’s definitely a staple every time I visit the city.

Maison Kayser has become one of our to go for desserts lately. We have been to the ones near the Columbus Circle & Broadway quite a few times and it is our first time here. The atmosphere is like the other Maison Kaysers we have been to. Yet, found a subtle difference in taste of same desserts/pastries we got from other Maison Kaysers. Being a chocolate lover, like the fact that they have quite a few chocolate pastry options to choose from. They also have gluten free options in desserts which is nice and hope there will be more gluten free options in the future. Overall, like the quality and freshness of their desserts/pastries. Someone with the sweet tooth will enjoy this place.

This place is just fantastic. There is no way not to rate it 5 stars. The staff is super friendly, the desserts are impeccably well made. I recommend the chocolate cake. And there is something else that I found unusual, even the bathroom of the place was incredible clean and cool! There was a map of Paris there! New Yorkers know this is hard to find here.

A nice french taste chain restaurant serves plenty of good dishes from brunch to dessert menu such as croissant, smoked salmon, onion soup, mac and cheese, and madame crouque. A good service came along with a good dish and the price is proportionate. In this spacious dining place I happened to try the thanksgiving dessert which was the pecan pie and it tasted beautiful. So for me, this restaurant is one of a good choice of restaurant while in nyc since it's easy to find all over the city, suitable for family with kids, and has a good standard.

No wifi. Food is decent but anything with avocado is not done right as the avocado tends to be going bad near 4pm. The deserts are good but crosants tend to he overbaked. Not my style. Coffee is fine. Hours could be longer. The staff are attentive and courteous.

We tried bite sizes of a few different types of cakes. All were very dry. My husband got a strawberry tres leches cake slice and it too was VERY dry. I would not recommend this bakery when you have this many selections in the neighborhood.

My 6-year-old daughter loves coming here for the cookies. There was a time we would come every day but then we stopped coming. The staff are never friendly or willing to assist us once they hear us speaking English. I guess they only cater to the Hispanic population... We grew tired of being treated this way and stopped coming.

I love going here for the migas de jamón y queso and their sandwiches. Today I was there with my two kids, I had grabbed a apple juice from the fridge and put it down on the table to attend my child, since she was making an iced coffee for me, I was going to grab the coffee from her and she asked if I was going to pay for the juice that I grabbed, clearly there was no one at the register and I was waiting for her to make the iced coffee so she can charge me for the juice. I didn’t appreciate her service, it was very poor. Food is always great but maybe next time she can give me the opportunity to pay for an item before assuming I was going to take it for free.

My friends and I went for breakfast. $2.50 for large cup of coffee. However, once the little bit of foam settled got as much as a small cup. One word comes to mind "mezquino, mezquino, mezquino". The pastries where delicious. All of us where very dissapointed we did not get a full cup of coffee, not nice; defraudados por el cafe.

In Argentina I can get delicious facturas on every corner bakery. I desperate for my morning medialunas I took the subway to La Nueva but found theirs were not at all like a traditional medialuna. They were quite dry and missing that buttery layered quality I am used to. Still looking for authentic ones. The Nuchas trucks disappeared as well. I will just have to bring them back from La Nueva bakery in Palermo, Buenos Aires.

I bought a tiramesu and a flan and brought it back to the hotel. Excellent! Thus is a great, authentic, bakery!

I went there, and I have to say I had the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had in my life, the service was excellent, even though I could see straight through the people I think they were ghosts however, the cobweb chocolate cake was fantastic! Which led me to believe that they closed a few years ago after reading all the reviews. I hope what I ate was chocolate cake. Service was a little lackluster.

This is such a quaint cute little bakery. They have all kinds of incredible cake and cupcake flavors you could imagine - PB, blackout chocolate, coconut, carrot cake, banana walnut and more. They are also known for their cheesecake! The line could get long, but it always moves quickly. Everything is so tasty. Large cupcakes are $3-4, mini cupcakes are $1.75 each. I highly recommend the peanut butter chocolate cupcake!!

Love this shop! Got their cheesecake, Brooklyn blackout cupcake(mini) and a slice of pie. The cupcake was good, very moist and yummy, but too sweet for me. Glad that I got the mini ones instead of the bigger size. As for the pie, it was not impressive. A little on the sweeter side, but good. I love their cheesecake! It was very unique: really dense and heavy, and is only slightly sweet. You can taste how well the cheese-flavor comes in this piece. Highly recommended! Love this place overall, would love to come back and try more.

A New Yorker recommended me cheesecakes of here. I came here for only cheesecakes. But cupcakes kept calling me to get them so I got some. Cheesecake is just normal. Two little red hens is a bakery that reminds you what pastries should taste like. I had a simple coconut custard cupcake and mist say it makes me delighted I walked in. I would recommend this if you are in New York, either visiting or living. I will say next time I must order their pie as I am always looking for a good slice. Thank you for a much needed smile.

#1 spot in NYC for carrot cake. After trying countless places, this is the best carrot cake I've ever had. The cream cheese frosting is exquisite and the cake is always moist. They are a little pricey, but worth every single cent. For carrot cake, I recommend the small cake over the cupcakes because the proportion of frosting to cake is better.

For my graduation party I was looking for something in lieu of a cake that I felt more people would enjoy. After extensive research, I was thrilled to find Two Crepes because they offered carts that served crepes and bubble tea, two of my favorite treats. It was a seamless and wonderful experience having Two Crepes at my event. The process to book both a crepe and bubble tea cart was simple. Julian and crew arrived early to set up and were ready to serve my guests on time. The crepes and bubble tea were a fun surprise for and a great hit with my guests! And while I worried that I had not tasted their crepes and bubble tea before booking them, other reviews gave me high hopes and Two Crepes did not disappoint!! The crepes were perfectly made and every filling was delicious. The bubble tea was also super tasty and made well - especially the taro! Many guests returned for seconds and to try the other available flavors of both crepes and bubble tea. Everyone loved that the crepes and bubble tea were made to order, and the crepes in particular filled the room with an irresistable sweet scent. Julian and his staff were overall wonderful to work with and very personable and kind to guests. I would absolutely book them again and look forward to trying their other cart offerings for my future events. Thank you Two Crepes for making my event extra special!!!

Two Crepes provided exceptional service to our staff. The setup was quick, and the menu had lots of variety. The Banana Montana and Good Morning were so delicious! Our staff loved the ability to pair their crepe with a coffee.

I just wanted to share how amazing our residential event turned out, thanks in large part to the incredible experience we had with Two Crepes! From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and full of flavor. The team brought such great energy and made everyone feel welcome and excited. Their setup was efficient and inviting—people couldn’t wait to line up! And of course, the crepes were the star of the show. Whether sweet or savory, every bite was fresh, delicious, and made with care. You could tell the ingredients were high-quality and thoughtfully combined. It added such a special touch to the event and really brought people together. We received so many compliments from residents afterward—everyone loved it! Two Crepes helped turn a good gathering into something truly memorable. Highly recommend them for any event where you want great food and even better vibes. Huge thanks again to the team!

Lady Wong is a flop! I’m disappointed by all the great reviews especially because most are from Asians. The black sesame passion fruit is pretty sweet and not as described at all. It’s suppose to be a black sesame moose but the consistency is definitely not a mouse and also has very little black sesame flavor. The best part was the passion fruit but there’s very little of it. I also got a pineapple cake was a bigger disappointment especially at $9 for 2. There was more breading than anything and the pineapple portion is definitely not 100% pineapple. The flavor is very off! I’ve had some of the best pineapple cakes in Taiwan. I wouldn’t waste calories eating any desserts from Lady Wong!

Delicious cakes and kuih! Every single cake is so delicious. Matcha pandan tart had a good mix of both matcha and pandan. Very surprised how the flavors mixed so well and it tasted so refreshing. Definitely unique as I've not had this flavor before. Black sesame and passion fruit had both earthy nutty flavor from black sesame, and then a good citrus tart flavor from passion fruit. Passion fruit and calamansi cake was light, fluffy and fruity delicious. The kuih was good. The custard was so soft and smooth, while the non custard kuih was smooth, just the right chewy texture and not overly sweet. Wonderful.

We got 4 things (black sesame, strawberry guava, ube nian gao, hazelnut crêpe cake), and everything had 9-10 flavor, texture, and design 😍—wish we’d tried more! All were nicely sweet and not cloying. It’s a very small shop but pretty and clean, with good service. There is seating. They tape the card to the bottom of the box so your goods don’t get messed up. 👍 The only sad thing is that they might not have your favorite pastry since the display always changes and sells out quickly. Strawberry guava was light and airy as a cloud and melts in your mouth. The balance between the savoriness of the sesame and tartness of the passionfruit is lovely. Prob the most unique thing on the menu for those unfamiliar with Asian flavors. I do think there could be more passionfruit to sesame. Hazelnut crêpe cake is soft, milky and easy to eat with a utensil unlike other mille-feuilles. I didn’t get that much praline flavor, however. Ube nian gao was my favorite. The inside is so so chewy and contrasts with the crust which reminded me of cereal.

Hit or miss depending on the dessert you get. I got 3 desserts: black sesame passionfruit, matcha tart and talam pandan. Didn’t really taste the black sesame, the passionfruit overpowered the dessert. Matcha tart was okay. The best one was the talam pandan, that actually tasted like the ones I used to eat as a kid. I’d still come back and try their other desserts.

Was told this was the place to go for some Asian fusion baked goods but a little unimpressed. While the mango sticky rice cake was good, the service and the cleanliness of the place was lacking. Granted we walked in around 7:30pm but the worker there wasn’t helpful with picking out desserts and could barely hear what she was saying. Also she seemed overwhelmed when an online order came through with something that was sold out but I guess she didn’t check until the driver came to pick up. Will have to try again for a more thorough review.

Finally paid a visit after following the instagram for years. Cakes are very sweet. Hv to say the taste is customized to New Yorkers. Services are also below my expectations. Anyway, we have tried.

This place is incredible! Delicious cakes, muffins, and pastries that are not only gluten-free, but also dairy free and kosher. My friend adored the brownie and he isn’t even gluten or lactose intolerant. Everyone can enjoy this place. The help is also very friendly and they have incredibly cute birthday candles for sale.

Some of the best treats I’ve had! I ordered a variety for an event and everything turned out perfect. Will be definitely be coming back!

Literally every product I have ever bought at this bakery has been outstandingly delicious. All the more impressive that they are dairy free, gluten free and certified kosher. I don't require any of those in my baked goods but still think they are the most delicious options out there. Also, nice people working there

When my family and I are in the neighborhood, we make it a point to stop in to one of our favorite bakeries in the city. We really enjoy the Coconut Cloud Cake one of my personal favorites. We also like their blue berry muffin. My daughter loves the Chocolate Chip Cookies , she’s not easy to please. if you’re in the neighborhood, I would strongly suggest stopping in. You won’t be disappointed.

I am so frustrated!!! I got 4 pastries $39 dollars for all but of course I didn’t care cause finally I was got my gluten free pastries!! I take my first bite and there’s a looong hair unbelievable

I have been going to By the Way Bakery for years, since the first store opened in Westchester, and it remains my absolute favorite. They are truly one of the best gluten free, dairy free, and kosher bakeries anywhere in the United States. The quality is always incredible, and they never compromise on ingredients or flavor. It is hard to believe the baked goods are non dairy because the deserts are tasty and never compromise on quality. Even my friends who are not gluten free or kosher make special trips to buy desserts and cakes here. Some of our favorites are the lemon poppy seed cake, brownie fudge, and carrot cake. And during the High Holidays, Mama’s Apple Cake is a must, a guest favorite. The carrot cake is also excellent.

The food was delicious (such a pretty cake and the cookies were incredible) but it's really the customer service that has me a new loyal customer. There were some errors in the original order and Jelise was kind enough to meet with me at the store and craft an entire new cake while Naz reached out to confirm each and every detail. The result was a beautiful cake that resulted in lifetime memories and a newfound appreciation for an UES gem!

I work close to this bakery and I decide to pop in and buy some pastries. The store offers a lot of promotions and the prices are affordable. I got two croissants and two donuts. I found the cronut to be dry and flavorless. The chocolate donut was a bit dry but the chocolate portion made it taste a lot better. I got the chocolate and chocolate almond croissant. The chocolate was okay but, the chocolate almond croissant was delicious. It is definitely my favorite out of the four treats I purchased. I would stop by again to get the chocolate almond croissant.

Really wanted to like this locally owned place but unfortunately the heralded french almond croissants were super burnt. They intentionally served it this way so I don’t think it was an accident. Tasted like charcoal. Not really my cup of tea. $10 for two. You can get better croissants elsewhere in this neighborhood.

Big fan, originally i go to the Long Island location but was in the city and needed my fix. My go to items is their danishes. Although at this location i feel like they are better, more filled than hollow. Their croissants are absolutely delicious. Their baguette are soft and fresh. Coffee always on point. It always hits the spot. Nice to know both locations carry the same expectations. Now to visit their Miami location!

Such a charming little French bakery. The staff is super nice and the service is quick. The croissants are to die for and the coffee is great. One of the best things about this spot is the indoor dining area. It’s big! Very easy to find a little nook and get some work done. They have some outdoor seating as well if it’s a nice day. Super busy corner in the city so you get some great people watching.

A small bite of France in NYC. We came across the bakery looking for a place to take a break, walking around the village. Good coffee and hot chocolate, and fantastic bakes goods. We tried the Beignets, and I had a chocolate Madeleine. Both were among the best we've had. Dumb luck had us stop in to the only one of this loved French bakery chain in Manhattan. 600 in France, but just 3 in the US. Well worth a side trip if you're in the city.

This place checks all the boxes that should make this a great mainstay, a go-to on this side of town - great tasty selection, always fresh, clean dining area (yes, they do have a spacious indoor seating and several tables for outdoor enjoyment), delivery, ongoing promo of “buy 3 get 1 free of the same pastry,” and this place even participate in the TooGoodToGo program at certain times of the day, and they open early, too. You can have your drinks with their many pastry and bread selection. They also actually have prepared food, which is a nice variety. There is a ramp for accessibility, and in the warmer temperatures, there are a few tables outside to sit on, which is great! But sadly I have to knock off stars because one of their staff has consistently been rude and short😩with the patrons. The others have been quick and nice so far, but when you are in a rush and just there to get your morning fix, you cant keep waiting for the other associate to get your order. I have never seen this guy smile at any of the customers. What’s eating you, Grumpy😟🤔? I would recommend you drop by here, but fair warning😢

Excellent. Affordable, tasty. Teas are around 2,95, prepared food from 4, pastries from 1.50. For drink, 25% off applies when you bring your own cup. And one of the places where one charge their phone in peace. Also have wifi and a restroom. (One wouldn't believe how hard this is to find when you're a blogger or the like, and your phone runs dry a few times a day.. ).

Review is for their plain croissant only. Overall Taste 3.5 Exterior crunch 3 Fluffiness 3 Freshness 4 A very cute bakery that I would consider having a coffee at. Possibly because croissant wasn't fresh out of the oven, taste and texture was compromised. Exterior shell lacking in flakey crunch for the most part. Interior was too thick and doughy for my preference. Tasted a little greasy as some parts of the croissant the butter congealed. I can see this croissant being great for sandwiches as it will have more structural integrity. Would like to return and sample a fresh out of the oven croissant another day.

Absolutely obsessed with the matcha croissant collab between Claude Bakery and Isshiki Matcha! I had their: Regular-sized Matcha Croissant – perfectly crisp outside, filled with the most luscious matcha crème inside. Hands down, the best matcha croissant I’ve ever had. French Vanilla Cold Foam Matcha Latte – smooth, flavorful, and topped with the cutest mini matcha croissant. It’s the kind of drink you sip slowly because you don’t want it to end. Claude Bakery always nails flavor and texture, and this matcha collaboration just takes it to another level. A must-try for pastry fans alike!

I recently visited this café and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, with a calm yet beautifully designed interior that made me want to stay longer. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming—even gave me recommendations on what to try. I ended up going with the crème brûlée crust, and it was absolutely delicious! It had the perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience, and I would definitely come back again.

Manhattan blackout cake slice was excellent. Incredibly fudgy, sweet but not overbearing. The sprinkles added needed texture without changing flavor. Overall very good, nice staff too!

Stopped by for the famous chocolate cake. It was pretty good - just right and not too sweet as other reviewers have said. The only downside is that they use plastic utensils and give you your cake in a cardboard box even if it's to eat in.

This is a small bakery but their desserts are very good. Their Almond Croissants are one of the best I've had. Their Crème Brulée Cruffin is delicious. The service is good and the prices are average. By the way their Plum Tart and Apricot Tart are also very good.

Easily one of the best bakeries in the city!! I love the cozy atmosphere tucked away in the hustle of the west village. Also, May is the sweetest, always has a lovely smile and checking on me as I work there for hours hahaha. She also has me try all sorts of delicious pastries that I wouldn't have otherwise! the straw berry basket and the heirloom tomato croissant are my favs but you can't go wrong at this place!! :)

The donuts here are amazing! I think we got 5 in total today and they were so fresh. Everything was delicious!!! Def recommend coming here. The ube donut and apple fritter donut are a must. All the donuts were so light despite the fillings and weren’t overly sweet. Hoping to stop by soon again.

Had to try this place because of their flan, and they delivered. I'm not a fan of donuts, but I was surprised about the flakiness of the dough, also not too sweet nor greasy, paired with a good and firm flan.Definitely a must try. The lemon cookie was a last minute addition and tasted good. The Ube was also a nice surprise as it was the mango float (I wish they could make a plain custard one!). The only complaint is in the matcha cruller, too greasy for my taste. They open late and there are plenty of people in line even during the week. It's easier to get pastries later in the AM but past 11:30 AM they might be sold out. Kudos to one of the owner for trying to make sense of the line outside.

Amazing food! Creative and mouth watering flavor combinations! A lovely introduction to filipino culture! Love the atmosphere inside and the seating. Worth the hype and the line out the door that moves quickly, they’ve got the efficiency down! My fav pastry was the sugary butter cheese croissant! Will be coming back again and again

I had been meaning to try Kora for so long but kept missing the pop-ups. When I finally did go on a Sunday at 9am I anticipated the wait but the staff was INCREDIBLY helpful in coming out, explaining the wait, the process and giving us hope, answering questions on what they would likely have and what might sell out. I got inside about 10:15 and loved the space. The decor is very neutral toned and I recommend sitting if you can. Since there is currently a 6 pastry cap, I got the ube babka, coffee cruller, cinnamon cruller, spam pan suisse and leche flan donut. Every single one knocked my socks off. I have been to allot of bakeries, and several Michelin Star restaurants, but I can't think of any that compare to Kora's pastries in terms of variety of flavor, texture & dynamics of taste. The lofty, butter-rich steam air that is trapped inside each layer, the soft and supple textures of the bites was intoxicating. The spam pan suisse with pimento cheese had a touch of savory heat while the outer glaze added crispy, crunchy sweetness. The the braided babka touched with salt played well together with the sweet profile of the ube center. I am very partial to coffee/coffee cakes and the Coffee Cruller was my favorite. The outer layer and coffee is delicious but I could not believe how tender, cloud loft, buttery soft the inside was. Even if the pastries are sold out the cookies and coffee are sold throughout the day and the full glass storefront lets in plenty of light. It is going to be my go-to coffee shop. Also, I really appreciate the signs in front explaining the current situation with the facilities, projected waits on weekdays vs weekends, and the explanations of the multi-day processes it takes to prep elements that go into the pastries. PLEASE don't be upset if items are sold out as all new businesses have growing pains. Do your homework and plan for a 1.5-2 hour min window from the time you arrive to when you eat. You can taste the effort and artistry in each bite, so make time for the experience (just my input).

Ok, so I’m not the person that likes standing on a line for something, but I’m so happy I did. While waiting in line, someone kindly came and spoke to us and shared some Expectations such as respecting the neighbor businesses by leaving space open for the doors. Super sweet. Anyways, once the bakery opened their doors, they had us come in groups to keep order and give us a good experience. They have a huge window so you can see them preparing the goods. Everything looked amazing so I had to buy a few different ones to try. Faves are the flan one and the ube donut. Everything is tasty and beautiful. I also tried one of their signature drinks and even though I don’t like coffee, this one was amazing. All this to say, this place is beautiful, the staff is super nice and the goods are amazing. It’s a must and it’s worth the hype.

As a Queens native, I have been waiting to try Kora for years and finally got to try them out! I got there on a weekend around 9:30am and got inside by 10:30, which was expected. There was a worker who came out and greeted everyone, and also updated everyone on the timing/amount of pastries left which was very nice of them! Once I got in, I was greeted at the door and all of the workers were very hospitable! I truly appreciate their warm attitude during such busy shifts. I ordered 5 pastries since the limit is 5 and I got: the ube donut, the leche flan ni lola donut, ube babka swirl, passionfruit bun donut, and the ensaymada croissant. My #1 pick was definitely the leche flan ni lola donut!!! Absolute fire. The ube babka swirl was my 2nd favorite, do not sleep on it. The rest were also good, however, the ube donut was a little underwhelming in flavor and the passionfruit had a nice cream but the donut itself was very doughy in texture. I am a huge foodie and growing up in Queens, NYC, we are exposed to so many great bakeries including Filipino bakeries in Woodside. I love the flavors of Filipino pastries and desserts and I guess I was expecting a wow factor after waiting so long to try Kora. The leche flan donut, I would definitely order again. The rest, maybe not. But that is my preference and I would definitely come back to try the other pastries that I couldn’t try this time around!

Would travel and line up to wait for Filipino pastries and coffee anytime. If you’re willing to do the same for food, Kora will be worth it! Right before the store opens, one of the owners and the staff will go outside to greet the waiting guests and brief them on how things will go. This was a nice touch as I didn’t feel so lost. I did anticipate a line and a wait. All in all? It took about almost an hour to get inside. Not bad of a wait, but I had company too. So that was a good way to let time pass. Once inside, it felt warm and welcoming. We got in line and someone from the counter will assist you to choose your pastries. They place the pastries on a “bilao” or tray/basket. Note: A max of only 6 pastries per guest. Then you reach the cashier and you can order a drink. Pay (and tip 😄💕) and then wait for your order to be boxed and name to be called (if you ordered a drink). My friend and I stayed a while to chat and enjoy the pastries. It’s a good idea to go with someone so you can each order other pastries and have a pastry tasting party! Haha I might be too lazy to type in each pastry we tried and share my comments, buttt so summarize: you won’t go wrong choosing any of the pastries! The hot Ube Latte complemented the sweetness of all the food we ate. Each piece was honestly not too sweet either. I had leftovers and will try to toast the croissant to have a little crunchy melted cheese top. 😍 would go back again!

My son was craving halo-halo. We went here and craving was satisfied! Their halo-halo is perfection, it has the right balance of ingredients and sugar level is not too sweet. It’s just like the Philippines but not excessively sweet, which is perfect! My kids also enjoyed their mini Ube cupcakes, a great size for little kids and taste was delicious. I had a very nice conversation with the owner and the staff. They got a very wholesome feel; super friendly and welcoming. P.S. husband approved! (He doesn’t normally like Halo halo because it’s usually too sweet but this was a good level for him, the flan was also perfect) we’ll be coming back here! P.S. we took our halo halo to go, it was still frozen and Icey by the time we got to our car.

Decided to check out the neighborhood this afternoon and google new places nearby i hadn’t tried yet. This place came up and was very highly rated - I can see why! The interior is beautiful with plenty of seating and a scenic portion with a flower wall. I was greeted by two lovely gentleman who have some of the absolute best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Answered all of my questions with a smile even though I showed up almost right when they opened. I saw the flan was mentioned a few times in the reviews so I gave it a shot. Wow was I blown away. The flan/ube combo works so well together. Hats off to this team for creativity. Between the decor, lovely attitude, and great food you have earned another customer. I will definitely be back! 😊

The ube flan here is very good creamy, rich, and full of real ube flavor. The ube crinkle cookie was also excellent super soft, light, and not overly sweet, which made it easy to enjoy more than one. You can tell they use quality ingredients in everything they make. The service was friendly and welcoming too, which really adds to the whole experience. A great spot if you’re craving Filipino pastries or just something unique and delicious.

I came here out of curiosity... When I walked in the smells were so inviting I had to try I was recommended the 1/2 flan 1/2 Ube cake simply amazing... Not too sweet but just perfect... The cake was moist fresh and served warm... Melted in my mouth!

Whenever we’re craving for something sweet and Filipino, we think of this place. The ube leche flan is my favorite. They serve it warm and it always hits the spot. It’s a pretty innovative Filipino dessert.

Really delicious donuts with unique flavors. I got red velvet, calamansi, coconut pandan, mango, thai tea, ube, banana and guava and they were all yummy.

I wanted some halo halo and Purple Dough came up as a recommendation. This place did not disappoint! The Halo Halo was the right amount of creamy, icy, and sweet. I also really enjoyed the flan/ube cake, the flan is really creamy. Five stars!
