Discovering Pasta Piemonte, a pasta shop in Menton, is truly delightful. This establishment offers the opportunity to savor various dishes where lemon plays a prominent or supporting role. From the delectable lemon ravioli to an array of luscious pastries like lemon tarts, donuts, and cakes crafted in local patisseries, one can indulge in these citrus-infused delights.
We stumbled upon Pasta Piemonte on our last day in Menton. What luck! Madame Inversi was very attentive and helpful and explained all the products we were interested in and even gave us samples to try! We chose the lemon ravioli where she provided us with instructions on how to cook them and we also got some chocolates. They were all... Amazing. Thank you Madame Inversi. I think you really captured the sweet lemon flavours of the Mentonnaise lemons!

This review comes somewhat late after my visit to this beautiful French town of Menton. But none-the-less here it is! The pasta we bought at Pasta Piemonte Menton was simply the best, fresh pasta we´ve ever tasted outside of my home city Melbourne (where we have some amazing fresh pasta delicatessens run by Italian families). The pasta was divine! We tasted both the Lemon and Trufflé Ravioli. Both delicately made without the overbearing flavour these two types can sometimes leave on the palate. Simply delicious! And a wonderful young lady looked after us. She provided excellent customer service. Cannot wait to return for more some day soon!

I've never tried a better ravioli than the lemon ravioli here! Very serviceminded staff and good quality of the pastas!

Best fresh pasta outside Italy.
Giorgio D — Google review
(Translated by Google) The best fresh pasta I know, with a very thin dough. The ravioli are excellent with a real taste, and this is normal since the stuffing is made with quality products. I also recommend tomato sauces, pesto and anchovies for our Niçoise and pissaladière salads. Nice and Piedmont are a family affair! You can buy in the store, order online, buy at the Ruche…

(Translated by Google) A gem discovered on the path between the station and the old town. At Pasta Piemonte, the welcome is attentive and warm and the advice valuable, particularly on how to enhance their incredible Menton lemon ravioli. We followed the recommendation to enjoy them simply with butter and sage: a pure delight 💛🍋 An essential address for lovers of fresh pasta and refined flavors. Well done ! Bravo !

Wow — what an incredible discovery! We’re visiting from Canada and spending a month in beautiful Menton, and we had the wonderful opportunity to join a pasta-making workshop with the amazing Chef Ricardo. His passion for creating delicious food and making every guest feel special truly shines through. It’s been such a treat running into him around town — whether at the market or a local café, he always takes the time to chat and share a smile. His shop is fantastic, offering the world’s best lemon ravioli (truly unforgettable!), along with a variety of other fresh pastas, pizzas, and lemon cake. Thank you, Chef Ricardo, for sharing your talent and kindness!

(Translated by Google) I changed my plans to see Monaco and visited the town of Menton on a whim, but I had many wonderful encounters with it. This store is one of them. We bought lemon ravioli from this shop and ate it for dinner when we returned to our accommodation. Even a simple dish of boiled ravioli stir-fried with butter and sage was incredibly delicious, and we cursed our decision to only buy 200g of it, thinking it was just a sample. In addition to the pasta, I was also able to purchase Modica chocolate, which is made using an ancient method in Sicily, Italy, and it was delicious with a texture I had never tasted before. The staff at the restaurant seemed to think we were tourists, so they shared some sage with us, gave us detailed instructions on how to cook it, and were very friendly. I will definitely visit again the next time I visit Menton and will purchase more than twice as much.

Vanilla Bakery Menton is a popular spot in the area, offering a delicious selection of croissants including pistachio and plain ones. The cafe also serves well-crafted cafe lattes with a good amount of milk foam. With both inside and outside seating, it provides a nice atmosphere for visitors to enjoy their treats. The staff is known for being friendly and efficient, making the overall experience quite delightful.
Brunch options were not available though they should be on weekends, so I ordered breakfast (Bakery). Hot drinks are not included and has to be ordered separately. All was good, especially the croissant ☺️
Julia I — Google review
Nice little cafe. Very Italian styled. The pistachio croissant was INCREDIBLE. There was a large menu with many options and a good variety of fresh pastries. The service was good and when it started raining they helped move tables and create as much covered spaces as possible. The hot chocolate was okay but quite lukewarm in temperature. Other than that it was a good cafe and id be back for another croissant.

We are on an extended state here in Menton (from Canada) and discovered Vanilla Bakery. It was our hope to find a local coffee shop to call our own while away. Vanilla has delivered in every way! Their menu is outstanding with budget friendly pricing. The shop is extremely clean and bright and to top it all off the staff are wonderful and have become our friends. Highly recommend!
Christopher V — Google review
A cute little bakery in the center of menton, we came here for breakfast. There are all sorts of homemade pastries, we had a few and they were all very tasty! Apart from that, the menu offers various breakfast options such as eggs, toasts, bread with jam/cheeses etc. Coffee was great, service was fast and friendly, what more can you ask for! They also have non-dairy/vegan milk options as well as several different types of vegan croissants.
Mia Z — Google review
Super friendly, lovely people, delicious treats and coffees. I especially LOVED the pistachio croissant 🤩☺️ The only downside is, if you're planning to stop by in the afternoon, you would probably miss the pistachio croissant like I did today. They accept pre-order! I missed it today, so I'm having a raspberry one, which is very pleasant.
Tugce B — Google review
Amazing and tasty VEGAN (Italian) croissants. 🥐 Best I’ve ever had !! 👏🏻 So good, that I ended up having them every morning for 1 week ! And I’ve lived in France for 6+ years now. But this is just WOW!!🤩 I love all of them, but Personal favourites: are apricot and the chocolate one ( nougat I think.. or some type of homemade Nutella ?) 🫶🏻 I recommend them to everyone! ♥️ You don’t have to be a VEGAN or have food allergies to love them ! They are just perfection. Perfection! 🙏🏻 They may not look like much, but the moment you take a bite, it’s like all your tastebuds are entering heaven. Not joking! 🥐🥐🥐👌🏻 And by the way, dogs are allowed. Enjoy ! ☺️
Wilde F — Google review
Nice bakery in Menton with a tasty croissant selection, from plain croissants to pistachio croissants and the croissant was fresh and perfectly textured. My cafe latte was also well crafted with a good amount of milk foam and served with a glass of water. The atmosphere is nice, with outside and inside seating and umbrellas outside for shade. The service was quick and friendly. I look forward to my next visit

The residence is a middle class place; but 1. within the check in , I don’t now why they offered a room on the 2nd floor where the repair was taken place; as a result I was poisoned by an oil smell and called for a doctor; 2. I ordered a room with 1 sofa and 1 bunk bed: as a result I was given a room with one sofa and my friend should rent another apartment with prices of a high season; 3. No possibility to agree with the nation: only their decision, all problems -are only through the court

Decent place, just off town centre, lots of traffic but most rooms seem to be far enough away from main road to be quiet during day and night. Room was well equipped, clean, tidy, with most domestic tools and gadgets. . Would stay in there again if ever I went back to that part of France.

Bakery
Mitron Bakery is a charming spot located in the pedestrianized shopping precinct around rue Saint-Michel. The bakery offers a variety of treats made from rare and forgotten flours, such as the pissaladiere, an onion and anchovy pizza, and crusty loaves made from local grains like Petanielle Noire de Nice. They use organic, unmodified grains with lower gluten content for easier digestion.
We have tried lemon tart in Nice on Sunday market and we kept thinking about it ever since. This tart is a must! I would even say it was the best one I had ever.
Nika S — Google review
Such a beautiful bakery. It was recommended to us by a few people and it was definitely worth it. Everyone goes there for the lemon tart, and yes, it is amazing. However, everything else is so tasteful as well!
Anastasis P — Google review
This bakery, run by a renowned local Michelin 3-star chef, has earned a reputation for excellence. Their lemon tart is nothing short of extraordinary and a favorite among locals. Conveniently located near the bustling shopping district, the bakery also operates a smaller booth inside the waterfront market. While the staff could be a bit friendlier, I only stop by for takeout—and for the food alone, it’s absolutely worth it. Definitely a must-try when in Menton.
JJ — Google review
We ordered their lemon tart and it was incredible!!!!! It was very huge so I would recommend it to be shared between 2 people if possible. The taste of lemon is strong but not overpowering I absolutely loved it. The crust goes very well with the lemon cream. So if you are in Menton, don't forget to drop by and enjoy their lemon tart!!
Shambhawi P — Google review
came here after hearing about mitron’s lemon tarts and really loved it! tart was big and crust & filling were both good. we also had black coffee here and owner was very thoughtful when serving us :)

Very cute bakery! Ordered the lemon tart and fougasse mentonnaise. The fougasse was a bit dry, but the lemon tart was tasty! Recommend getting a slice of lemon tart with espresso and sitting outside the bakery to enjoy them.
Angel Y — Google review
Delicious bread, filled rolls and pastries (all very good, but especially the tarte au citron!). We visited numerous times during our holiday and were never disappointed. They serve a very good coffee, too.
B D — Google review
The lemon tart was spectacular, the pan au chocolates were average, same for the orange cake which was too sweet for me. Great tender brownie. In my opinion, the pastries are overpriced for no reason.

This place far exceed my expectations! The food, service, and location were fantastic! And the waitresses spoke English. The only negative was that some customers were smoking near us. You can't control that, though. Pictured is Eggs Benedict and Banana Pancakes with caramel and walnuts. We didn't order any sweet potato fries, but they looked fantastic! We paid about 20 Euros per person.

Such a charming place. The ladies behind the counter are lovely and very professional. The inside space is well thought out and there is an outside space as well to eat. If you come, try the Nutella banana pancakes but beware-you won't be able to finish them all! I was impressed as well that the staff speaks English, Italian and french-and they are very efficient with serving and thinking of all of the details you would need the moment you sit.

I decided to visit this place while planning a trip to Menton. I bought a croissant and lemon tart yesterday and ate it this morning. I thought that it would be more delicious if I ate a freshly made croissant right away. Next time I visit, I definitely want to eat there. I usually like lemon tart, but as soon as I took a bite, the freshness was no joke. It's really fresh and so delicious.

Wonderful experience trying out the marmalades and pestos here. They are very friendly and offer samples to try. We were lucky to get one of the last lemon marmalades. A lot of the products have lemon flavors as Menton is known for their lemons. They do offer some deals if you buy enough things so it's worth it. If there's any room for improvement, I would say getting nicer gift bags to bring back home instead of the plastic bags they had. Overall a great experience and worth visiting if in Menton.

Nestled in the charming town of Menton, Il Capriccio is a delightful spot perfect for a quick lunch or an intimate coffee date. With inviting outdoor seating and a cozy indoor vibe, it’s an ideal setting to savor their renowned carbonara, which many consider one of the best dishes in town at just 12 Euros. The café also serves expertly crafted espressos and cappuccinos that pair beautifully with their fresh croissants and pastries.
I have been a spaghetti carbonara lover since before it was a common menu item and I'm always on a search for a good version of it (and I find most versions are just "ok"). We stayed in wonderful Menton for 4 nights and I only wish I had come here sooner than the last night. This was possibly the best I've ever had! For once the pancetta/guanciale/pork was cooked to perfection. The flavor was incredible. My wife had a fantastic pizza and we shared a nice bottle of wine. It was a rainy evening and we sat outside in their sidewalk seating, but there was a nice see through covering and heaters, so the atmosphere was wonderful as the rain hit the cover above us. Service was perfect and the prices were very good. Loved it and hope to be back one day.

What a great surprise! Authentic Carbonara is to die for. The Nicoise Salad is also very good. The server is friendly and the price is reasonable. Love it.

A Carbonara so nice, I ordered it twice! Had it as main course and desert. We stopped here about two years ago and had to get back to order it again. We especially planned a 3k km route-the-grands-alps camping trip with “Il Capriccio as destination to try their carbonara once more. High expectations and it did not disappoint. Go there & thank me later.
Brecht V — Google review
Ordered the carbonara and it was good but not amazing. It was more like a cheesy sauce, which was tasty but not exactly what I was looking for. Although it might be because I'm used to the American version of carbonara, I'm not sure.

Very cozy restaurant close to the seaside. Very intimate as you find just 8 tables. The owner and her chef (both ladies) are very kind with a big smile: they speak French (of course) and a bit of English (no Italian). I took Camembert xxl with salad and hams. My kids burgers. A stone's throw from the old town, between the pedestrian street and the sea, meat lovers must come and discover this “everything, everything” little restaurant for its astonishing tartars, its magnificent burgers but also its oven-baked camemberts, its duo of fish or its delicious desserts. The friendly welcome and the low prices won us over.

(Translated by Google) The food is excellent, especially the tartare, the "maison" combination with courgettes, pesto and parmesan is original. The baked potatoes are excellent. Excellent quality of raw materials and a chef who cooks (not a given in Menton) (Original) Il cibo è ottimo, soprattutto la tartare, originale l'accostamento "maison" con zucchine, pesto e parmigiano. (Translated by Google) Hum! Very very good. I had a tartare my way. It was very hearty and well seasoned, the accompaniment tasty. And the dessert was also nice. To do without hesitation. On the other hand, it's not very big, so it's better to book. The welcome is professional and pleasant. To be done again without a doubt (Original) Hum ! (Translated by Google) The ladies are very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is familiar and feels more like a meeting place with friends than a restaurant. The food is excellent and the products used are very fresh which justifies a menu that is not too long. Once you've tried it, you'll definitely want to go back also because of the less touristy but very local climate. Very rude lady at the bar. Did not have paper cup to go so she made a hot chocolate for my kid in a small coffee cup and poured in a sink 70% of what she made. When we asked about why did you serve us with a 70 gramm cup of hot chocolate… and poured away 200 grams- she answered that it is their typical serving. By the way it cost 3.8€.

The employees talked among themselves without paying attention to the customer. Not friendly. And what's more, the bread on my toast wasn't good. 1st and last time I set foot there. Hygiene to review. Handling sandwiches without gloves. (Translated by Google) I just got back from a weekend in Menton. I had breakfast here on Sunday and was really annoyed. They're incredibly slow, the staff is rude, and they even asked me if I could get their dog bowl for another customer because they didn't want to walk around the cart set up outside and take it from them. As if I had to be a slave even at the beach... The cappuccino was cold and washed out. If you don't want to start your day feeling incredibly annoyed, don't come here.

The huge queues are a testament to the exceptional quality of the patisseries and cakes. During the Fête du Citron the array of everything avec citron is mind boggling. For the last 3 years I have visited specifically to buy the citron feuilleté , which you can buy all year round, and is one of the best tartes I’ve ever eaten. If you are in Menton, this is a must !

Best cafe in Menton! Tiramisu and croissant were incredible and priced very well. The waitress was so lovely she even gave us a free sparkling water from an offer we weren’t aware of as we couldn’t read French. Highly recommended to stop by when in Menton!!

This bakery offers a great choice of pastries and bread. I chose a premade tomato mozzarella sandwich, and it was very tasty. Their flan nature was delicious! The staff is friendly and helpful. There are some tables outside, so you can sit and enjoy your pastry right away. They also serve coffee.

We tried the creme brûlée and croissant, and i can frankly say that the croissant is the best i tried till now. The balance between crispiness and soft buttery is incredible! Would love to eat another one. Also the creme brûlée was so good, we could definitely notice that they used original vanilla sticks. 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderful bakery with so much choice. Almost hard to know what to choose there is so much. Great spot for a coffee and pastry. Recommend the Gateau Basque de Menton - nice citrus flavour.

My family and I were treated very poorly. We are native English speakers but ordered in our best French and the waiter was immediately horrible to us. Extremely rude and purposefully misunderstanding our French and rudely correcting us. We love being corrected because we learn, however, this person was doing it in a very condescending manner. He also threw all of our pastries practically on top on each other on the same tray for four people. Additionally, after sitting down outside, the waiter came up and announced very loudly that our card didn’t work and we needed to go back inside. It turns out their machine was out of paper, not our card. Overall, horrible experience - would never recommend.

L'Instant Gourmand is a delightful little gem that truly captures the essence of local French culture. This charming café offers an array of freshly baked pastries, with their croissants being a standout favorite among visitors. The atmosphere is simple yet inviting, making it a popular spot for locals to gather. While the menu features some English translations, the friendly staff are more than capable of assisting you in both French and English.
I made a quick stop here for coffee and pastry and the croissant was the best I had in 8 days in south France!!! I wish I found this place earlier so that I could have enjoyed more of the pastries 🩷 The cafe is simple and clean, and you can tell it’s a place very frequented by the locals. There are English wordings on the menu and the prices were also very affordable. There is limited English but the owner & staffs do understand enough to be able to communicate. They felt a bit cold at first but I believe it’s bcos it’s not an area w many non-French tourists. After a minute, I found them to be quite warm and sincere. As in any foreign country, practicing patience and respect will go a very long way between 2 parties who are trying to understand each other 🩷
