Fresh, fresh, delicious food, friendly staff and well priced. Incredible value. Because it ticks all the boxes it's busy, so if you go at peak times (lunch) might be a 10 to 15 min wait....don't worry it's worth it!

A well established, family owned and operated local bakery and deli. They offer high quality, daily baked, in house breads, bagels, buns and more. Big enough to accomodate large orders yet small enough to still care about the customer. The deli offers a wide variety of meats that are custom cut to each order.

Great bakery. Alot of fresh breads and bagels. My favorite is their poppy seed bagels and fresh kaiser buns! They also have weekday deals, each day has its on special!! I was looking good for a local bakery since moving to Barrie, and I found this great place!

Fox's is a local gem! Bread is always pillowy soft and bakery items are always fresh and delicious. This is my go-to spot for bread when I have guests I want to impress! It can get busy on Saturdays, especially considering the store space isn't very big and that they are closed on Sundays. But, from my experience, the staff try to keep things moving along pretty well and I've found it to be pretty well-stocked. For me, no visit is complete without one of their fresh-made sandwiches - made-to-order and so yummy! Spinach dip is great too. I've tried the cold deli salads as well in the past and found them ok. Soup is only offered on weekdays.

I don't usually come to Barrie but I was in the area camping so I decided to stop in. The smell, vibe and food reminded me of my Nonna. She was the light of my life so this place brought me to a state of pure joy! Their mini cheesecakes were amazing and those meatballs were great.

I first heard about this place when a friend of mine bought me an apple pie from here. Today, I finally visited the bakery myself, and I was so excited! Everything was amazing, and all the ladies working there were incredibly kind. I highly recommend trying their apple pie🥧🥧🫠🫠

I found some of these custard tarts add this Bakery and I will tell you this as I have driven all the way to Old Montreal to a bakery there and they sell 400 to 500 a day . These custard tarts buy Fuda Italian Bakery are just as good and just as fresh as the place in Quebec... I drove to Barry to visit family and I stumbled upon them when just looking for a motel and I am so happy beyond words. Thank you to the girl that answered my phone call and describe them to me and we had a chit chat and that was very thankful. When I come back to visit family again I will be popping in to buy more...

Went there on a sunny day. Sandwiches: 3/5 Cannoli : Tried pistachio and chocolate Pistachio 4.5/5 Chocolate 3.5/5 I tried cannoli for the first time and now it’s my go to place for satisfying my sweet tooth.

I love this bakery. They have an expansive selection of desserts and an amazing hot table as well as a selection of good Italian groceries and breads with cheeses and deli highly recommend

Ordered my father a Black Forest cake for his birthday. Called a week in advance and it was ready for my requested time. The cake looked amazing and tasted very good. It was very light and fresh. It didn’t taste fake and loaded with sugar like a grocery store cake. The price was also extremely reasonable, it was actually cheaper than buying a crappy cake at Zehrs. My dad was very pleased with his cake.

I can visit Barrie just to go to this local cafe. It was bit crowded when I went had difficulty getting seating. However, the baked goods are too good. Sourdough bread is soft and nice. They have baked ones to carry back. Loved the alternative options made with rye bread and rye brownie. They conduct bread making classes and it’s all booked for the next 6 months.

Love this place! The food is awesome, the vibe is great, and the staff is super friendly — seriously, everyone there makes you feel right at home. One little thing though — they really need to step up their coffee game. They’ve got a fancy machine, but the flat white, latte, and cappuccino just don’t taste the way they should. Would be amazing if they fine-tuned that, and then this spot would be pretty much perfect!

I come to Homestead bakery once a week to do some work and get out of the house (work from home problems lol) and I look forward to it every single time! I love this place so much. The energy and vibe is so relaxing yet inspiring at the same time. The service is incredible. All of the staff are SO nice and accommodating. And the food... THE FOOD! Everything is SO good. I am a big fan of their avocado toast (I add an egg!) and their pizza but literally every single thing I've tried has been divine. I highly recommend checking this place out! It's great for a solo work or reading sesh, coffee catch up with friends or even coming with your little ones for some yummy treats as they're very kid friendly.

Absolutely love love love coming here whenever I get a chance. Amazing place. The café is very cozy, the seating, decoration, and aesthetics are so nice, it makes me wanna come here again and again. The baristas here are lovely people. I've gotten an exceptional service every time I came here. Their freshly baked breads are so good, and all their breakfast and lunch menu items are delicious. My favorite is the breakfast sandy. Their matcha latte is the best. I would definitely recommend it. Their prices are reasonable, drinks are amazing, food is freshly prepared with good quality ingredients, and I would encourage people to support this local business instead of big chain coffee shops (if you know what I'm talking about)

We had breakfast here, food was super fresh & they prepared it really fast too!! There was live music playing at 10am on Saturday, great vibe & lovely food!! Service was pleasant & quick!!

I'm from out of town, just passing through Barrie and needed coffee / breakfast. Upon entering the place had a vibe and it was busy. We ordered to go because there were no tables. After waiting for about 10 min a table became available right by the counter so we sat. After another 15min my husband went to the counter to check where the order was and it was sitting there for who knows how long as our name was never called. I ordered a flat white and again waiting for 15 min I went to check in and was told the ticket went missing, they re printed it and they would make it right away. A woman also waiting was told her latte was stolen and they would make her a new one. When the barrista called finally made my drink he said "next time wait at the counter for your drink so it doesnt get stolen", I said bro I was told the drink hadn't been made and he firmly stated "no your drink was stolen". I was shocked at this. It was very rude and I felt as tho I was to blame. I'm a customer. The stolen drink card sounds like the scapegoat for the lack of organization that seemed to happen (the place was very busy) which I have grace for. But I def won't be back ever.

A 4th generation managed bakery, the German influence here is clearly seen in the goods. You wish they had seating to sit and enjoy the awesome bakery goods! The bakery items were great! We tried some cupcakes, coffee, cookies, but the highlight was a sweet cookie-like gluten-free piece called "florentiner" which is like an almond flakes cookie with slight chocolate sauce bottom. The washrooms were nice and clean too, so just ask for the keys. Also has a small gift shop for some nice trinkets.

Excellent Black Forest Cake! I purchased one for my Husband’s Birthday as he has been looking for a traditional one. Wow he loves it. Thank you Sigrid’s.

I had a wonderful first visit here. The parking lot is very quaint and charming. The flower boxes give it a nice touch. I tried a few pastries and a cappuccino and it was all quite good with a home-baked texture. Spent a few minutes chatting with the owner and was very sorry to hear that by the end of 2024 the cafe will be closed due to retirement. (But, but ... I just found you!) Still, I have a few more months to work through as many items as possible. A little pricey, but the quality is very good. I really liked the idea of a tea room, but unfortunately it is no more and will not be revived. It is all take out (unfortunately). I encourage you to visit and try a few german-austrian items while there is still time. As for me, I will aim to see them again very soon (and often).

On the way from Toronto to Perry Sound, while we were looking on Google for a high rated bakery to buy a birthday cake, we found this little gem in Barrie. The owner was very nice and welcoming. We got a cake full of berries, soooo yummy. Also we got some cheese cake slices which were really tasty. I think they are originally from Germany and the taste of the pastries said so. Thank you for making our day!

For 16 years, I have supported and frequented this bakery because they are one of the few that use premium ingredients, which include FRUITS. Today before closing, there were some pastries left. It doesn’t take a baker to gather that these pastries were in fact old and not the best quality as pastries of this price point are expected to be presented. I made a comment based on facts, not an opinion as the “owners son” suggested. I’ve really noticed the quality of this bakery depreciating since the attitude ridden millennial - “owners son” is in the store. He kicked me out because he didn’t want to listen to facts. After living in Germany for years, I depended on this place for the quality it used to provide. any German would be embarrassed by this presentation. That’s not remotely following culture…. Never again…if you’re going to take over a place, make it a legacy, not a dump !!!

I would like to say a big thank you to Sigrid's for making the most beautiful and scrumptious wedding cake for my daughter and new son in law who were married on August 24th. The guests at the wedding went on and on about the cake. We asked for something very special, you delivered! I strongly recommend that Sigrid's be your first consideration. Saturday, January 20, 2018 - Very excellent local bakery, with a wide variety of European foods. Best Black Forest Cake not made in Germany. Staff friendly, and service excellent.

I recently discovered The Sweet Oven and their delicious butter tarts. My favorite is the Coffee One, but the other choices are great as well. I'm going to try the cheesecake next time because they look very good, and I love that there's a selection of different flavors. Also love the packaging! Friendly staff and the service was quick. The biggest problem was deciding what to get because everything looks so good.

Ordered a large order of 19 dozen assorted butter tarts and about 85 cannolis. I initially submitted the request online and Kerri got back to me quickly, and allowed me to bounce ideas off of her and willingly accepted all the changes I made to the final order count lol! I was able to pick up everything in two batches, their team was there early in the morning before opening hours both days to put the finishing touches on everything which I really appreciated. Everyone was drooling over the treats! Probably the best butter tart I've ever had. Thanks again Kerri and team for everything and pulling through on such short notice!! Highly recommended 😊

This place had a minimalistic feel. It was clean, bright and felt spacious. I ordered three different mini cheesecakes: cherry, oreo and chocolate which were so deliciously rich and smooth. The cherry added a bit of tanginess. The little bits of crushed oreos added a nice texture. The chocolate was decadent. The customer service was top notch. The man at the counter was so patient and helpful. They also make dog treats which contained natural ingredients. Our dog was quite happy with them. I would love to visit again and try out their other cheesecake flavours and even their tarts.

Lovely bakery with a great variety of delicious treats. On the pricier side, and for me slightly on the too sweet side. However, overall very high quality and creative flavours.

Just left there, and I wish I knew the woman's name because she was absolutely delightful to talk to ! I got two skor butter tarts, and I definitely scored! If you're looking for a sweet treat but on a budget (haha) they have some "imperfect" ones for half price or so, on the bottom shelf that taste all the same. Although the price isn't bad at all to begin with! THEY HAVE DOGGY TREATS!!!! They also have mini cheesecakes that look absolutely sensational! But it's mostly different flavors of butter tarts- and I plan to go back and try some more soon! If you're driving around with a sweet tooth craving and don't know where to go, I say check this place out :)

Finally got the chance to Sweet Oven! Amazing butter tarts if you want the ooey gooey centre! I usually don’t like the pastry but love this too! We will definitely be back!! Would love to try the raspberry next!!!

Ive had butter tarts and mini cheesecakes from the sweet oven before, but we picked up some butter tarts for mothers day and what a hit!! The store was clean and we were warmly welcomed by a super friendly, kind and helpful fella who was happy to answer our questions and was super patient while we picked ... almost one of everything lol! Everyone LOVED these treats. They are such a delicious indulgence. My personal new favourite is choco chip coconut. Love supporting local and having a little treat yourself moment. The whole fam really enjoyed!!

If I could give it zero stars I would. Extremely disappointed in them as they ruined my bridal shower cake. The product they delivered looks nothing like the picture that was shared with them. I’ve attached both pictures and what they delivered is a joke. If you can not make a certain design then just don’t take the order and commit to something you clearly aren’t skilled enough to do. It seemed as if a child tried to replicate the design that was shared with them. The colours aren’t even the same. The best part, the cake wasn’t even good. Tasted just like it looked - terrible. The cake is the focal point of these kind of celebrations and they completely ruined that for me. Never ordering anything from them ever again.

The BEST place in Barrie for gluten-free products!!!! 💫 Their bagels and cinnamon rolls are beyond amazing, and they’re always baking up new seasonal treats. Even my partner, who isn’t gluten-free, loves this bakery. The owners and staff are so warm and genuine, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. Every visit feels welcoming, and it’s clear how much love they put into everything they do. I’m so happy to finally have a go-to local spot that I can trust is 100% gluten-free and safe.

Amazing, happened upon them while coming back from a camping trip and got some Chocolate Chip Muffins, these Calzone (? cheese, meat and bread pocket) and some chicken nuggets all gluten free. I have had the Muffins and Calzone and they are amazing. If I lived in the area I would be going here all the time!

Great small business, not many people put as much pride into there work as cal, from sourcing the best ingredients and always pushing the boundaries of gluten-free food this store embodies what all Gluten-Free products should be trying to do 👌 I'm not even gluten free. My aunt is I just get snacks for her and eat them on occasion and find they're phenomenal! 10/10 👌

Visited Barrie and stopped at this amazing gluten free establishment! I was a first timer there and the staff were so knowledgeable, proud of their products and had great recommendations! I cannot rave about the bread, pizza and Chinese options I had purchased enough! I will be back, the three hour drive will be worth the genuine smiles and great products! We had such a fantastic experience! The items be purchased were fantastic - specifically, the muffins and bagels were delicious and did not have any of the crumble or poor taste GF often has.

A truly dedicated gluten-free kitchen plus there are some really amazing vegan options too! Vegan options are clearly labled and incredibly delicious. The owners are extremely knowledgable and truly care about the quality of their food and the health of their customers. Absolute best coffee in town too.

Such a cute place and the dining area is so nice! The food was amazing. The desserts are excellent. I have never had such delicious vegan desserts. You can’t tell they are gluten free! Highly recommend!

Great Vegan spot for two kiddos who have very particular tummies. The dessert selection was what pulled us in. The kids got some cupcakes and brownie bars. I tried one of their Ah Caramels. It was delicious, but the darn thing was half the size of my head. I also ate the whole thing in one sitting (we got the desserts to go with a picnic lunch) and I have to say it probably could have been portioned into four slices and lasted me a lot longer. In hindsight, I wish we had tried their savoury options or secured something to go. They looked really good, but we already had our meals in a cooler. I guess we will have to try their other options next time.

We stopped by The Vegan Pantry in Barrie on our way to Arrowhead Provincial Park for camping, and it was the perfect pitstop! Tried their burgers, poutine, and jalapeño poppers, and everything was absolutely amazing. The burger, especially, was hands down one of the best I've had – juicy, flavorful, and super satisfying. We also grabbed a pizza scone, which wasn’t my favorite, but the rest made up for it. For dessert, we got their Snicker bars, and wow, they were heavy and heavenly! Such a rich, decadent treat. The vibe inside was laid-back and cozy – the perfect place to fuel up before a big adventure. I’ll definitely be back for that burger and to try a few more things on the menu!

I absolutely loved my experience today at The Vegan Pantry! From the moment I walked up I just knew it would be a special spot. I was amazed upon walking in how beautiful the front of house was and then also when I walked into the dining area. Very clean, and friendly atmosphere. I loved the focus on animals and the positive aspects of being vegan, especially as an ethical vegan. I tried the Hawaiian panzorotti and was amazed by the flavour. The crust alone was out of this world. Before leaving I had to grab some dessert of course and left with two snickers bars and a butterfingers (not all for me I brought some for friends)!!! I’m from Windsor so won’t be able to frequent very often but absolutely can’t wait to go back! 💖

This is definitely a gem of a place. We had the Big Pantry Burger and the Mild Maple Buffalo Chick'n Burger and they were both absolutely delicious and flavourful. We enjoyed the fact that the fries are air-fried and that cane sugar is used in the desserts. I also ordered a coconut and vanilla with toasted coconut birthday cake that had such a unique flavour and texture. It was heavy on the coconut flavour with hints of vanilla and just the right amount of sweetness. We were all impressed. I have so much respect for anyone who is able to create a menu with so many amazing dishes that are both vegan and gluten-free. The atmosphere is also very warm and cozy with beautiful Victorian architecture in the dining area. I'm grateful to have finally found a place that puts a healthy spin on such classic dishes. Thank you to everyone at The Vegan Pantry. We appreciate all of the effort and creativity that is in each dish.

Tried the Vegan Pantry and couldn't have been happier. Firstly, the girl who served me was extremely friendly and very helpful as it was only my 3rd day into my vegan lifestyle. She took her time explaining things to me and seemed very happy to help. I had the jalapeno burger. The burger was great! Amazing flavour and I loved the air fries. My son had the poutine and he also loved it. We took home some cauliflower wings for the next day and a couple of "snickers" bars. The cauliflower wings were great. The snickers were HUGE and was absolutely amazing. Definitely couldn't eat one myself. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone. Even those who aren't vegan but love most foods. Will be back soon.

What a cute little vegan shop. Big menu, lots of choices for warm meals, desserts, and even cold boxed meals ready to take home. We ordered ahead, picked up a few warm meal options, along with two desserts. Everything was really good. We noticed some stuff did lack salt, so I had to go back in and ask for some. No big deal. Definitely going to make it back here on our next trip through Barrie.

Little bit expensive side for veggies options and we order latte and caffe cappuccino and compare to price it was an average taste. Having said that I would still look for another chance to try to check other items on the list and update the reviews.

First and last time I would go to Panera Bread. Ordered via Skip - Whole Italian Sandwich and I can’t even explain what we got… Half a sandwich with Arugula and 3 tomatoes ???(See photo)… Called the store and we were advised it was a Skip issue and not theirs… Don’t see how this isn’t a restaurant issue, I don’t think my Skip driver made the sandwich. We received our $5 credit from skip, no issues there… just can’t believe this is the food that is served and no accountability from the restaurant what so ever.

Overall not bad! Everything was pretty yummy and the staff were super friendly, except for the fact that the bread was really overly sweet in taste. For just over 20 bucks, I'd expect much better value for money however the sandwich was teeny and in comparison can get you a 6 inch at Subway for less.

Lots of baked items. The breakfast sandwiches are questionable. The egg texture looks like a wet sponge. I got their everything bagel toasted with herb and garlic cream cheese. Don’t sleep on their passion papaya’s green iced tea.

I feel like customer service is a lost skill, but the no real acknowledgment just a shove of a pin pad in you face seems to be were we’re headed… not the first time I have had this experience. I am glad they didn’t ask for a tip. But I little smile nice hi goes a long way

Way too pricey for what it is. The food is decent, but in no way upmarket. I got a half veggie sandwich and it cost $9. No meat, just one piece of bread cut in half with some salad toppings. Not worth it.

I love the food at Panera!! Everything is so fresh and delicious. The salads and sandwiches are freshly made to order. There is nothing better than a sandwich on fresh baked bread. The soups are so delicious, I’m waiting for the squash soup to be brought back for fall.. it’s my favourite! The staff at this restaurant are all lovely and hardworking people. The young gentleman that was working at the cash on July 26th /25 at 5:00pm was a real pleasure with great people skills. We will be back again and again!!!

We stopped here on a Saturday in july 2025 You order your food at counter then sit down and they bring it for you. Everything was amazing. The pizza is thin and tasty the panzo was great and kids loved there pasta. We will definitely stop by again Prices are reasonable. Service was very good.

We’ve tried their store items and finally tried the restaurant here and it was outstanding. The staff are friendly and polite and the food was delicious. We had an order of calamari and two orders of pasta. One was bolognese and the other was shrimp and scallop Alfredo. Both were high quality and it tasted amazing. Would rate 6 stars if I could!

went here a few weeks ago seems like a very pertinacious place with a bunch of snobs working there (sorry to say) tried their fresh bread which was ok but the veal sandwich was not very well made just full of sauce and no effort. the place seemed very expensive for what you get and if you order to go you can't sit on the patio or the seats and eat there as it is only reserved for sit in patrons. Sorry to say didn't like the vibe will not go back many many options in the area but seems like the place does get busy if they dont let you sit there and eat. when i went, there were many seats available and im not quite sure why they said i could not sit on the patio and eat a sandwich. good luck to you guys.

This restaurant is as authentic as Italian flavours get! Fresh, scratch made sauces were the best I have ever had. Such a wonderful staff with everyone friendly and full of recommendations of their favourites. Our server nailed the suggestions and cannot wait to visit again. The market on site was great as well. Bravo on such a lovely restaurant, service and 5 star food.

In one word; Excellent! I had a spinach and ricotta lasagna which was served nice and hot...and cheesy. The sauce was delicious. The lasagna was $20, which is very reasonable as it was a large serving. The server was very friendly, patient, and helpful. Very nice atmosphere. It's a restaurant on one side and a bakery on the other (connected) The desserts in the bakery (which can be ordered to your table) all looked amazing. Thank you to the very nice owner for letting me take pictures. Oh, and there's also a nicely decorated outdoor dining patio.

Greeted with a smile and sweet aromas! This lovely little piece of Italian everything was a great place to have lunch with the family. We had pizzas, veal sandwich, pasta and garlic knots. All were delicious! The taste and quality you could tell came from love. Lots of walk out specials, lunch specials and all kinds of extras to take home. A little market of things from Italy and home cooked meals refrigerated for later. We will be back!

The service and owner were very nice pleasant and accommodating. I placed a catering order with an 1.5 hour deadline. They accommodated. Upon serving the food there was No Alfredo sauce in the penne pasta. No sign of any white sauce and the pasta was dry.

We treated my Mother-in-law to a Royal Cream Tea for her birthday and it was a great choice! We selected our tea from a number of quality loose leaf teas and each person had their own pot. Then they brought us a delicious selection of tea styled sandwiches, mini quiche, scones, clotted cream, jam, Eton Mess, and chocolate mousse on a traditional tiered High Tea tray. We had to take some home since we couldn't finish it. Highly recommended to those who love a High Tea experience.

I recently visited this charming British café for afternoon high tea, and it absolutely deserves a glowing review. Despite the place being packed—especially with a bridal shower happening at the same time—the staff remained incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout my visit. Their level of customer service made the experience feel personal and relaxed even amid the bustle. The high tea itself was easily one of the best I've had (and I've been to many, from upscale spots in Toronto to cozy, intimate tea rooms). Every element of the spread was delicious, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared. But the standout by far was the house-made clotted cream. It was rich, velvety, and utterly divine—honestly, the best I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend this cafe with their impeccable service and the exceptional food.

Another great visit to Campbell's- expanded tea room and more grocery space. Ordered sandwiches ahead to make sure they had ones i was looking for. Ordered these and they were nice along with a small salad and crisps. This was for a mother's day tea with mom. Plated on mom's China.

My mom and I brought my daughter (who is 4) out for afternoon tea a few times now, and it's always a great experience. It's not fast food, but it's fresh, tasty, and made to order. We will be visiting again!

Visited for the first time today for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and decorated well, and the food was fresh with lots of options. I am a baker and rarely enjoy baked goods, but Campbells really did a good job and was even able to accomodate my gluten free dietary needs. Normally I am happy to even have a gluten free option, and it's usually a boring restrictive menu, but that wasn't the case here! I had lots of options available to me and was really impressed. Will definitely be back again soon, still thinking about the scones and clotted cream hours after we left!

Our server, Diane, was a true delight—warm, friendly, and clearly passionate about being part of the team. The tea room offers a well-curated selection of British goods in an adjacent shop area, making it easy to stock up on your favourites. Their onsite baker crafts a mouthwatering array of desserts and baked goods, including an excellent assortment of meat pies and rolls. The scones were perfectly baked, but the highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the Eton Mess—hands down the best dessert I’ve had in a tea room and worth the trip to Barrie alone. Campbell’s is ideal for a cozy tea break, a casual meal, or a quick stop on the way to the cottage. With ongoing renovations and a commitment to creating a warm, authentic atmosphere, this spot is set to become a favourite for years to come. I’ll definitely be back—for the Eton Mess and more.

Great experience. Professional and friendly staff. Great communication. We spoke and planned through email and phone. Everything went smoothly. From the cake design to pick up! The design of the cake was amazing. Im so glad I went with them. The baker herself called to talk about what I wanted, and she delivered. I love the moisture of the cake. moist and fluffy. I went with the standard filling and standard vanilla cake. The flavor was a bit too vanilla for me, BUT- all other family members praised the flavor and taste. We also got 12 cupcakes 🧁- also amazing. We ordered 2 different flavors! Moist and super tasty! Loved those ones. I'd suggest this bakery to anyone. Good, reasonable pricing. They did have a fill-in baker for my cake as the original baker is on Matt Leave. They definitely made my daughters birthday very special 💕

Ordered our 3rd custom cake in a number of years. It was the picture of perfection of the vision of this very custom piece!!! Sugar City staff is excellent to work with and very accommodating. Not only was the cake amazing in its detail -it was so fresh and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this baker. Our guests were amazed at how fantastic this cake was! We got a three layered carrot cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting. I had no idea what to do for design since it was for my father’s birthday. They helped figure out a beautiful fall theme and the cake was absolutely delicious! Everyone loved it! It was perfectly sweet and light with so much flavour so it felt decadent! Sugar City is my go to whether I need to pick up an already made cakes/cupcakes, have a custom designed cake/cupcake made to match the theme (birthday's, bridal shower, wedding or sporting event) or cookie/cupcake platters. Carrie and team have made all requests come to life and some. The cakes were so amazing that it was a shame to cut them up but also worth it as they were super tasty! Never disappointed, check them out!

I’m quite surprised by some of the negative reviews but I guess everybody has different experiences. From order to pick up it was a great experience. Firstly, I was accommodated within a week of needing my order which most places would turn you away. Kerri and her team made my wife the most beautiful and memorable cake of our sweet Golden that passed a few months ago. The cake was beautiful and delicious and I would highly recommend Sugar city for your next occasion.

The only spot I've ordered cakes from, for years - for any occasion, big or small. The icing is decadent, the cake is moist. The attention to detail is outstanding. Each cake has been a piece of art. The cupcakes are so beautifully decorated and have such fun, original flavors. The cake pops and cookie sandwiches are a huge hit with my kids. They also have celebration boxes which are displayed in a lovely box and full of goodies. They're perfect for those who don't like cake or if you want to try something different - my 5 year old son loved his 'Birthday Box' - highly recommend. Everything and anything you order from Sugar City will satisfy your sweet tooth and will receive compliment after compliment. The team here truly put their hearts into making your vision come to life. They are wonderful people and their customer service is second to none. From a large cake that serves 20 people, or a small 4" cake to serve 4 people, you will be coming back for more. Barrie's BEST, hands down.

A great little bakery with an amazing assortment of goodies. You are going to pay more here than you would at a big box grocery store bakery, but you're also going to get hand-made, from-scratch products here. Plus, you would be supporting a local family business. I purchased some ginger bread men, butter tarts and cookies and was not disappointed.

Excellent service and brillant food. We had roast beef sandwiches, which were delicious. The tomato soup was decent and had a nice touch. The dessert were fantastic. My favourite was the Cheesecake with apples and crumble. The buttertarts were different to most places and I liked it. Not my last visit!

Small little shop with lots of items. Mini cheesecakes, butter tarts, meringues, breads, pies. Good variety. They even have a few seats for those who want to enjoy their sweets and food there. Welcoming atmosphere. Everyone was smiling and helpful. Really liked they sticky buns. Their cookies are just OK. Only thing was the last grabbed my items with get bare hands, which was weird.

Lovely place. They've got such a wide variety of desserts, including keto friendly and gluten free. I HIGHLY recommend the chocolate squares.. especially if you like nanaimo bars... they're like nanaimo bars but a billion times better. You can also get regular food there... but let's be honest, desserts are the bees knees!

We ordered the Banana Chocolate birthday cake from Holly’s and it was perfect! Very moist and not too sweet, six layers of banana cake and chocolate mousse! Our guests and us loved it, highly recommend it!!

Holly's is excellent. When ever I need a cake for an event or special occasion I immediately head to Holly's. Lorrie is great to deal with and does an amazing job on the cakes. This one was a white cake with Raspberry for 100 people. Everyone loves it and raved about the cake.

Absolutely delightful! The ice cream here is rich, creamy, and full of flavour. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the variety of unique flavours makes every visit a treat. Definitely my go-to spot for a sweet indulgence! - bonus: open late on weekends

I ordered a cake from this location and it was absolutely delicious and beautifully designed as we wanted. My son loved it so much that he did not take his eyes off the cake , even when we tried to click his picture with the cake. I truly appreciate the customer service. Narinder was very nice and patiently offered me samples to decide the flavour of the cake. Price was also very reasonable .

Response to owner is at the bottom. If I could give zero stars, I would. This was my first and definitely last time at this location. While I was waiting to order, a family ahead of me dropped their ice cream right in front of the staff. One of the parents picked it up and explained what happened, expecting some kind of response.. but the workers just stared at them blankly. No offer to remake it, no apology, nothing. Eventually, the family gave up and asked for a spoon to scrape off the dirt. When it was my turn, I tried to give the workers the benefit of the doubt. I gently explained that the situation wasn’t handled well and suggested what they could’ve done. I tried more than once. The responses I got were: 1. A blank stare. 2. An awkward “Oh no, we’re so sorry about that,” followed by them turning away and exchanging looks. 3. A comment that “if the family had asked for a new cone, they would’ve given it.” They shouldn’t have to ask. Good service means stepping in when something clearly goes wrong. This location lacks basic customer service and empathy. Response: Yes I am sure this is the correct place. This incident happened on Tuesday July 29 at night, not the day I posted.

I think previous reviews regarding customer service were taken to heart. Visited today, August 7, with my 6yo, very indecisive daughter. She wanted to try multiple ice creams. I was apologetic but staff said not to worry, that she could try as many as she wanted. After 4, she settled on bubble gum, which I thought she might not finish, as it's quite sweet. As we were sitting at our table, the gentleman that assisted us asked if she ended up liking it - I replied that, as suspected, she didn't. He promptly asked if it was ok to offer her something else, and she chose a sherbet and ate it all. We live in Innisfil but will be definitely making the trip to come visit again for our next ice cream fix! Great ice cream and great customer service! Shout out to the gentleman with blue baseball cap - you made our day! 💙

We pretty much go this place twice a month for after dinner ice creams. Ice creams are good flavour. Service is ok, most of the time staff doesn’t care or not very friendly. No upselling or suggestions and lack of flavour knowledge. But overall good place to end your day to have ice cream.

August 8/25. Was looking forward to an ice cream treat after dinner. While waiting to be served, the young man behind the counter kept running his fingers through his hair. Then he touched food product. Like ice cream cones. I lost my appetite and left. I told him why I was leaving, And the young woman working with him said something that was incoherent. Too many of these businesses have no concept of obvious hygiene. So disappointed

This place is unreal. The smell when you get near, how cleanly laid out it is, it's an absolute dynamite place to visit for a donut or other baked treat. No need to bring your appetite, it will show up once you see what is on offer. The donuts are light and airy but filling and so good.

We love Mmm Donuts! Always worth the drive from Newmarket to Barrie. Their donuts are fresh, fun, and so delicious. We had a wonderful experience ordering a custom birthday cake for my son’s party. We specifically wanted a plant-based cake due to my son’s allergies and we already had enjoyed their donuts. It was our first time ordering with Mmm Donuts and the process went seamlessly. The party guests all raved about the cake (few didn’t realize it was vegan). We were happy with the design as it was Spidey & Friends themed. They recommended a 9 inch, 3 layer cake for 20 guests and it was plenty and had leftovers. I went with confetti flavour and it was a hit with the kids. Not overly sweet and just enough flavour. Would order again.

This is honestly the best donut shop I’ve ever been to. Their donuts are so fresh and big! My favorite has always been the French toast, but honestly, they are all amazing. Definitely worth the trip if you aren’t from the area!

I ordered a custom cake from this bakery for my daughter’s 1st birthday. It was beautiful, delicious and vegan! So everyone could enjoy it. I also ordered the cookie dough cake for my husband’s 40th.

I was recommended to come here by a customer. After months of drooling over Instagram photos, we made the 1.5 hour trip. They didn’t disappoint. Soft donuts mmm. We would definitely be back. The prices are reasonable for handmade gourmet donuts. I have paid more for chewy hard donuts that we didn’t enjoy. Our favourites were: cinnamon twist, French toast, and powdered strawberry filled donut. The apple fritters hardly had any apples but maybe I got an off piece.

I've had the donuts here many times and they are always fantastic!! But what really blew my mind was the beautiful cakes I got for my 3 daughters' combo party. THEY WERE STUNNING and beyond tasty. I've had cake/cupcakes from various places and these tasted hands-down, the best! We also got vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, all amazing. Thank you!

Lovely little spot in Barrie to grab a BANGER of a sticky bun!! Wow were they ever tasty. The biscoff was definitely my favourite, although just from looking at the options they had.. I really don't think you could go wrong, no matter what you choose. If I'm passing through Barrie again, I 100% will stop by to grab another few sticky buns!

This is a one of a kind business. The family who owns and runs this bakery is so genuine and wholesome. Not only do they have incredible treats and drinks - they themselves are incredible people. They give back to the community in such meaningful and beautiful ways - through blood donation promotion, supporting Hospice and other local charities… these guys do it all! So grateful to have a go-to bakery like this in Barrie. ❤️

I called Jay around 4:07 pm today to order a dessert wreath for pickup tomorrow, and he said they need at least 24 hours’ notice, so I thanked him and we hung up. About 15 minutes later, he calls me back saying he couldn’t do what I had asked for the next day, but he could make me 6 buns instead. That really shows how much they care about their customers (and I’ve never been a customer before!). It was super nice of him to offer an option so I wouldn’t walk away empty-handed. I’ll definitely be a regular now.

What are you even looking in the reviews?!? Just go already! Such an amazing gem within Barrie. Great friendly, professional, and honest ownership that pull off amazing treats everytime! They also do have coffees as well which I have yet to try but definitely on the list for my next visit. Go on a Friday or Saturday early and you may get a selection of their cheese cakes which are the best cheese cakes I have ever had. Thank you once again and keep up the great work!

We were visiting from Toronto and we stopped by on the day we were leaving, ordered 2 buns and ate them in the car so fast, had to go back for 2 more. When we got back we ate the other two and realized we should've gotten at least half a dozen. I wish this was located closer to me because I would be going every day.

We ordered a box of 12 and a wreath for our daughter's birthday and we loved every single one of them. all of our guests loved them too and we will definitely be coming back for any major events as it was beyond delicious and they were extremely efficient and professional. I even got a call to confirm what I wanted for my order. Thank you so much, as a fan of cinnamon buns, you do it more than justice!

Our wedding cake and cupcakes were absolutely perfect! We went with red velvet and buttercream icing, and they were a huge hit—everyone loved them. Not only did they taste amazing, but they looked so cute too. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Our son’s first birthday cake was absolutely beautiful! Cakes by Design absolutely nailed the design based on just one reference photo we sent and the flavour (birthday confetti with strawberry jam) was amazing as well!

I’ve ordered custom cakes from Cakes by Design for years!! By far THE BEST cake & decorators. Both chocolate, vanilla and cupcakes/cookies, lemon and carrot cakes are delicious!! Do not hesitate to order.

Cakes By Design is a great company! The custom cake they created was so delicious, reasonably priced, and matched our design perfectly. The cake and buttercream were flavourful yet not too rich. It was easy to order and pick-up. The staff are professional, personable, and helpful. I had a great experience and I would easily order from them again!

If I could give negative stars I would. This Tim Hortons constantly cheaps out. Extra cream cheese on a bagel is a whole dollar. We ALWAYS pay extra and NEVER get extra. I much prefer the location near park place but sadly this location is closer to my house, if you want a good bagel, don’t come here!

Went in at 3:45 for breakfast, I asked if they still make it. They said only till 4. Then told me they don’t have the ingredients to make my order. All I wanted was two breakfast wraps. If breakfast is till 4, they should stop cooking them at 4

The girls who work in the drive through are extremely rude. Their headset must not work very well. We always seem to have to repeat the order a few times before they get it right. And if you try to correct them they get very defensive arguing with you on what you ordered ( my order hasn't changed in the last 20 years). Extremely poor customer service.

I asked for breakfast sandwich with hashbrowns instead of bread. Ladies at the front were nice about it, charging me a sandwich plus hashbrown so I'm not paying double the cost of a sandwich for having every ingredient charged individually. Lady by the food was rude about it, shouting across the restaurant that she won't make it and people behind me were getting their orders sooner. It was really embarrassing. Some people can't eat bread. There's a gluten free store in the same plaza, have some awareness. I was charged a fair amount for the sandwich and do not be shunned for it because some line staff didn't want to make it.

Sadly this location has messed up my order 9 out of 10x. It’s the main Tim Hortons on my drive to work. Which is why I have continued to go there. But again this morning they gave me a coffee instead of steeped tea and i had to turn around and go back to fix the drink order.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism I received at this location. I asked for a refill on a medium ice Capp. That’s their terminology for using my own cup. I was told they couldn’t do that. I asked, then why does every other Tim Hortons location able to do it. She called for an older lady to help her. This crew person was rude from the start, telling me it wasn’t on their tills. I again asked, then why could all the other Timmies do it. She then went and got the manager, who was equally rude. Once again telling me they couldn’t do it. At this point I didn’t care about saving the .10 cents, or saving the environment. I was annoyed at how rude they were to me. After looking around on the till for a bit, the manager found the button on the till for the refill. Didn’t apologize or anything. When I asked for one of their survey coupons, the manager said no, that’s why I’m doing a google review.

It's a very small store front. Dine in for just a couple of people. I just purchased a bunch of sweets for a birthday party. Everything looked delicious. The young lady was pleasant and helpful. I had to taste the churro before the party. Delicious! I’ll definitely be back. Thank you.

It's a small Latin American (Cuban) bakery & cafe with limited menu. They make everything there, so was fresh. I have tried the chicken Empanadas, it was hot and fresh. They have different other Empanadas, churros, few dessert items (croissants, donuts) etc

Just the most exquisite bakery and cafe in town. Coffee tastes great, their baked goods are out of this world phenomenal and their cuban sandwiches are the perfect little lunch bite. Cant praise this place enough, if you havent ever been, do yourself a favour and try them out. You will not be disappointed.
