Excellent coffee, pastries and food in general! We had the croissant sándwich, a blueberry pastry and a lemon tart. Service was very good and the place is beautiful, especially the outdoor área inside the shop. Would very much reccommend this caffe!

On the hunt for cute, aesthetic cafés with great pastries and coffee, I decided to give Davide Longoni a try after spotting it on TikTok. The exterior of the café is super cute, and the interior is spacious, making it a great spot to relax. The vibes are excellent, with plenty of natural light, which makes it ideal for reading or hanging out with friends. I decided to try the cheese danish, which had a cheese/lemon filling. It was tasty but seemed like it had been sitting in the case for a while, so I'm not sure if that was just because of the time of day I visited. The coffee, however, was fantastic. I opted for a cappuccino, and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly for the most part. While I’m unsure if I would return specifically for the pastries, I would be curious to try their sandwiches next time, as they might specialize in those. For a pastry and coffee combo, the price was great at around €6, which I found convenient and affordable. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit for a casual coffee break, and I'd recommend checking it out if you're nearby!

Delicious pastries, nice coffee and fresh juices. The sitting area is in the shade on the side and the service was really nice too. We managed to get table an hour before they closed and we left with some complimentary pastries. I definitely come again.

I have been staying in Porta Romana for a few days and this cafe has a great vibe, food and coffee. The staff are very friendly and I very much look forward to coming back here one day.

My new favorite place in Milan! Nice atmosphere and very very good pastry. The staff are super friendly and speak English very well. Every corner to sit is beautiful and poetic. I suggest you come early so that you dont have to wait (or come around 11am when many people leave). The price is very reasonable. Wide range of choices in the menu.

After all these years, Knam is, IMHO, the best chocolaterie in Italy and probably across the DACH Region. The shop is small, kind of antique, but with this modern flavour that accompanied Ernst throughout his career. I loved it since day 1, and still love it after 15+ years.

Pastries look gorgeous and the shop assistants are very nice and prepared, but honestly the taste doesn’t live up to the expectations (nor the price), so I won’t be coming back. Each dessert was 7€.

So, if I could give more stars, I would absolutely do it. These cakes are just absolutely amazing! If you expect something sweet, look elsewhere. Herr Knam has just mastered cakes and chocolate. not only are these cakes not sweet, but very rich and flavorful. I was eating these cakes, head above the clouds and was just wondering, how he was able to perfect these cakes. 12/5, a must visit, even tho prices are high. Oh and I would personally recommend the chocolate cakes more ^^

We went here after reading the Google reviews. We had no trouble being seated and the service was excellent. The avocado on toast was delicious, but there could have been more avocado. The raspberry croissant was recommended by the waiter and it was excellent. The coffees (decaf oat latte and iced oat coffee) were okay. Overall I would recommend.

Very convenient, decent food, safe value. Some items are very good like their bread actually and their salmone bombone. Maritozzo was a bit disappointing. Didn’t like the dough that much. And overall it’s clearly on the higher side of price tags. But perfect if you need to brunch and work on your computer!

This place has the best panettone I ever had. And good espressos. This place seems like catering for tourists, but you can't be more wrong. This place caters for locals and tourists where you can find an avocado on toast. But also some tradicional Milanese panettone. We had coffees, I had espresso and my wife had cappuccino. We went there twice. On Friday the execution of the cappuccino wasn't that great, the foam was with big bubbles. On Saturday the cappuccino was perfect. The panettone is a must try!

Visited this cafe at around 10am on Saturday & dined in — definitely a busy popular cafe so be prepared to line up. All the pastries were good, and the coffees were solid, but I can’t say anything was mind blowing (would be nicer if the pastries were warmed up a little).

Comfortably spent a few hours here before our train from the nearby major station. Most importantly, they had a nook to store luggage downstairs whilst finding a seat upstairs or on the patio. We didn’t find the food filling to be very filling, but the service was atleast very friendly. Highly recommend to others in a similar situation 👍

But this one, located in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. is probably the most famous one! 💡You can enjoy your savoury or sweet pastry while being seated by the table which obviously will cost you more. If you're okay with that, you can also just sip your cappuccino standing and enjoying a breathtaking view of The Gallery from above. 🥐We had a delicious creamy and rich cappuccino and brioche filled with a vanilla cream. It was really soft, fresh and delicious. Really recommend to come for an early breakfast so you can peacefully enjoy your breakfast.

Very luxurious and classy place with wonderful view over the gallery and all the crowds. It is a very old pastry with legacy. You have two options to try it - to take coffee or pastry to go (without seating table) or to wait in line to be seated and enjoy the full experience. The staff is very professional and nice organized. The waiting depends on the time you come here. Me and my husband visited the pastry on sunday around 4 p.m. and waited maximum 15 minutes, but after that the line grew longer. I definitely recommend to try the hot chocolate. About the pastries- all of them are delicious and it depends on your taste.

Totally a fun spot to visit while wandering around Milan, the pastries are to die for and the sweets are endless. We purchased 2 mini cream puffs, small crispy sweet puff of pastry filled with fresh whipping cream. The mixture of crisp and cream is perfect. My partner also ordered a tart with a glazed strawberry that he absolutely loved. Beautiful inside and just a fun spot to explore.

The vibes are quite cute but the food is very average. Would try it once for the experience but not come back. The prices are also quite high for small and kinda bad pastries. I did enjoy the Barley Coffee, it was a unique flavour and was quite nice. During busy times of their waitlist fills up you won’t even be allow to wait. A beautifully designed space with a luxurious green-themed interior that offers a calm, relaxing contrast to the lively energy of the galleria outside. It’s the perfect spot for a coffee break—we stopped in and also sampled their bakery and ice cream. Both were excellent, even if the prices lean toward the higher side, which is expected given the premium location & image. Service was top-notch: attentive and professional. The only things that could be improved are the indoor temperature (a bit warm) and the choice of music they played which didn’t quite match the serene atmosphere.

While travelling with a friend came across this cafe. Lots of locals popping in and friendly staff. Had a cappuccino and a maritozzi, massive and incredible tasting. We also shared a pistachio croissant, this was tasty too

I went here for some lovely pastries to give to my coworkers and this was recommended. They did not disappoint! The variety of chocolate and cake and fresh pastries was so good. I was excited to even look around and see what this place offered. Would highly recommend and everyone at the office loved it.

Normal bakery, many dessert options but no option to get a slice of panettone. Only the whole thing Service is relatively ok, there should be an option to pay at the coffee corner instead of only at the cashier where there is always a huge line. Overall pretty average I was expecting more

This is a great place for breakfast in Milano. The place really pays attenzione to thw quality of the food they service and has an amazing coffee. They also do panettone which you can take home. It's highly recommended!! Especially try the brioche with pistacchio.

Prices are way too expensive €3.50 for a small cappuccino 2 coffees two crossaints and tiny cakes for €16? No physical menu only QR codes in tiny letters no one can read. Prices aren’t clear for the pastries so basic things like croissants are listed croissants were also small okay nice looking cafe but doesn’t justify the prices at all. Rip off could easily find the same quality for under €10. Bathrooms are also up a flight of stairs not friendly for those with mobility issues. Google reviews aren’t accurate at all

A waitress was smiling and welcoming to Italians, locals or other foreigners, but I went in and ordered coffee and wanted to sit down, she blocked me and told me I needed to pay more, I asked: do I have to order dessert before I can sit down? She said yes... so disgusting 😷 I am Asian and obviously we all know why, I will not go back And there are flies on the table！

This place hardly needs a review - it’s a perfect pasticceria! The cakes are beautiful & taste delicious. The sandwiches also looked lovely. This is a place to linger & sip coffee slowly with special friends. My son had the seasonal donut with his macchiato. I had a tiny chocolate cream filled chocolate with a fresh raspberry on top & a fine Earl Grey tea. (And possibly the nicest toilets in a Milan cafe so far…)

If you are not local, I suggest skipping this place, as it has a strange vibe from the moment you enter until you are out. We went there to have a cake or something sweet and ended up looking at a menu for food until we asked if it was possible to take something sweet for takeaway. Maybe the vibe is better if you go there for breakfast; I am not sure.

we visited this restaurant two times during our stay in milano, the first time we were absolutely delighted, we had an amazing service, who took great care of us and delicious food! the second time we went there the food was still delicious, however the staff wasn’t as great, they did forget about parts of our order even when reminded and we had to get another waiter to get it for us. aside from that it is cute little cafe with very good food! (just a heads up sometimes they run out of pastries, so i recommend coming in early)

Historic pastry shop in Milan. We stopped here for a "coffee break" with friends and took advantage of the large selection of pastries offered. This is, after all, a historic pastry shop that will not disappoint expectations. Location that reveals its history, large inside, but which offers an outdoor area for hot days. The service was fast and friendly. The coffee is good, as is the small pastry shop we tried. An excellent choice for those passing through Corso Genova!

Very disappointed. Not only was the coffee cold, but it costed a fortune! It’s one of the most expensive coffees I have seen in Milan; no wonder there were no prices displayed… (€4 for regular cappuccino and €4,50 for oat cappuccino) And sure, it’s the centre, but there are other places with way cheeper AND TASTIER coffees. If you’re going to serve overpriced coffee, at least compensate with the taste… both cappuccinos (with regular and oat milk) weren’t that good, and again - served cold. The only positive thing I can say is that the service was polite. But we went there for coffee and were not delighted with it.

This is not just a "caffe". This is something special. In the morning they have an extensive selection of sweets, both cakes and pastries, all delicious. The Panettone is a house specialty. You should not miss it! They do have some kind of sandwiches, if you prefer to stay away from sugar. You can complement your caffe with all these. In the evening, these tend to disappear, but their place is taken by small selection of appetizers, that make a good team with a 5 o'clock tea. Just wonderful! The waiters - the whole personnel, to be more precise - are dressed in style, all very friendly and very competent, because these are not your average servers. Reminds you of some high-class restaurant. Shocker! The prices are even lower than fast-food places we've been in the city. The only bad thing I can say about Cucchi is there are a lot of tables outside, but you have to wait to get a seat, because there are always a lot of customers around and you can see why :) We went 3 times here and if I come back to Milan, this is one of the places I'll visit.

Had an espresso and cream filled croissant standing at the bar. Very fresh and tasty. And because it was at the bar, really affordable. The atmosphere was good, old cafe, wooden panels. If you prefer table service, prices are much higher.

I arrived at 4:30 and there were no croissants available, so if you want to try them, make sure to arrive earlier. The service is not the most friendly either and 4€ for a cappuccino is even dowdy. However, the small patisseries that we tried were delicious and the external area is super nice. Great place with some improvements to do.

I enjoyed my coffee and croissant Al Banco. Very good energy behind the bar. Given I was standing, my order was fast tracked. However, I asked for a Cortado and was suggested a flat white which turned out to be closer to a cafe latte at €4.80. Given the pretensions of the place, this was a bit of a fail. If you use an international term like flat white please 🙏 get the fundamentals right: The AI bit: A Cortado features a roughly 1:1 espresso-to-milk ratio, with minimal foam, for a strong, balanced taste. A Flat White has a slightly higher ratio, around 1:2, with thin, velvety microfoam that creates a smooth, coffee-forward drink. A Cappuccino uses roughly equal parts of espresso, steamed milk, and thick, airy foam (a 1:2 total ratio by volume), resulting in a frothy, balanced classic. Finally, the Café Latte is the mildest, with a high ratio of 1:3 or more milk to espresso and a shallow foam layer, offering a creamy, mellow experience.

My fav breakfast place in town. Amazing cappuccino ☕️ and brioche 🥐, a truly Italian experience. Of course anything here is excellent. Staff is lovely and very professional. There is a nice little terrace outside with trees which is very nice and could get busy in the weekend. 5*

We saw the pics of their famous croissants with chocolate and whipped cream and went there mostly for this. The croissant was a bit smaller than expected and they brought it to us without whipped cream. We had to show them the pics and ask them to make it properly for us. They fixed it for us eventually and it was fresh and quite tasty! They also messed up our coffee order though and brought us the wrong coffee which was stuffed with sugar. Overall, the service was terrible and it ruined the experience. I went around the corner to find some proper coffee.

Very atmospheric and nice place! The food is delicious, but the best thing about this place is the coffee. Honestly, as far as I've tasted, it's the most enjoyable coffee in Milan. Extremely rude service. We spent 40€ for pastries to go and decided to enjoy one onsite and the waiter was extremely rude when we went to sit down to a table that wasn’t the “correct” one, though there was several free tables.

After Passing by Many times, Finally tried a Croissant here, specially the PAIN SUISSE, and it was Very Delicious, Buttery and Crunchy made with Quality Ingredients. Price is Very Acceptable for this Quality. Service is Kind Too. Everything Overall is Great.

The cannoncino was phenomenal, the filling especially. We got a macaron as well; they offer a pretty big variety of flavors. The coffee, on the other hand, was disappointing.

This place was recommended by a local - told us the cannoncino is the Milanese (and better) version of a cannoli. It was good - crispy puff pastry with a choice of cream/sabayon/pistachio/choc filling. I personally prefer cannoli, esp the ricotta filling with crunchy nuts, but this was still yummy. They also have lots of macaroons. Place is classy but small, there’s a bar that seats 3 inside and a few high tables outside.

OMG the Cannoncino’s are to die for. Try the pistachio flavoured one and have your life changed! Lovely service from professionals.

I want to highlight the staff which was very nice and welcoming. I came on Tuesday morning and place was pretty empty - a lot of available tables and big variety of pastries. I got almond 🥐 and flat white. It was good but not amazing or something that what would make me think about this place. Almond croissant has some amarena inside (unclear why, I should have asked before), so it tasted more like croissant with jam. We enjoyed breakfast on our last day in Italy at this fine cafe. Everyone got something different from sourdough toast with butter and marmalade to croissants to the peach pastry and the croissant French toast. We had filtered coffee and doppio espresso. Everything was perfectly made - crusty and sweet. You need to stop in and try these tasty gems.

This pastry shop is an institution in Milan and it is a historical place. They are especially famous for panettone, which is very good. They also have coffee drinks and places where to sit. Prices for little pastries are cheap while bigger pastries and cakes are maybe a little more expensive than other places, but not so much compared to other historical pastry shops. Staff seemed a little detached.

Love this shop to bits - such colourful bite-sized desserts, fresh pastries and coffees. The only downside was the limited seats in the shop, otherwise the flow of customers were pretty quick. Tried their profiteroles, some mini tarts and cappuccino. All were great for a morning boost before Duomo tour.

I visited here as part of a Do Eat Better food tour and it was a great stop. We stopped here first which seemed like an odd choice but actually it worked out well as we would have been too full if we had gone here later. All of the desserts are beautiful and the ones I tried were delicious. The desserts are small so you can try a few.

Great dessert place just below our hotel. These mini desserts are awesome, very tasty and easy to over eat. I tried the Pistachio and the chocolate. Pistachio tasted like it and the chocolate wow, if you like chocolate it's very rich.

A great little dessert shop. We stopped by a couple times while we were in Milan for a few days, and all the various bites are both attractive and delicious. They also have larger cakes and torts, but we couldn't resist trying about 10 different little ones over our pair of visits.

They have a nice selection of pastries, good breakfast croissants and the best tea in the world -pukka tea. Unfortunately the coffee is not great and the staff is a bit overwhelmed. I asked for tea and received a „NO TEA” answer, then only after pointing to the menu on the wall the lady got me a tea. It’s pretty inside, has nice seating and many locals seem to come here.

I got a customised cake. Ordered in the morning, picked it up around dinner time, barely made it to the birthday girl’s house cos it was SO delicious! We finished it in 5 minutes. The cake I got was called Bea, with chocolate and raspberries, definitely recommend it. One of the best pastry shops in Milan. This is not the first time I choose Ranieri, because I have experienced their outstanding quality of pastry and elegant presentation. Excellent; an old style pastry shop in the meneghino heritage . Close to Parini Lycee,was and still is a mandatory stop for students and elders. Everything excellent from basic croissant to the classic panettone. Do not miss the ' dò di petto' and marrons glacés. The latter are not as good as in Turin , although well above Milan average .

Order at till! Nice cafe. Coffee is good and pastries / cakes are nice. Ordering and table system might be unfamiliar. There is a sheltered pod in the avenue that is table service. Otherwise, have to order at the till point inside and collect coffee and food from separate counters. There are a couple of tables directly outside for customers who buy in the shop. Once we understood this, things went smoothly.

I am so happy with all the pastry, so nice and so many choices. I can not get enough, i need to come back for more good cakes and pastry. I'm surprised by the poor reviews about the service – I was there today and can only say the best. I ordered 10 tastings – the tartuffina didn't impress me, but the rest were delicious. I ate in the glass pavilion and didn't notice an extra charge for it, but it doesn't bother me; it's a nice place. The rest of the desserts were nicely wrapped for me. I left a selfie stick at the restaurant, and when I returned, they put it back for me, waiting in the back. Beautiful, carefully prepared, fresh desserts, beautifully presented, and friendly service. I'm glad I was there, and thank you for the tip about the new Funky Flavors series.

I stopped by this pastry shop on a whim and ended up completely obsessed! It was my first time trying a maritozzo, a soft, sweet bun filled with whipped cream and wow, it was heavenly. Perfectly light and not overly sweet, just… chef’s kiss. The espresso was spot on too. Rich, bold, and beautifully balanced. I didn’t catch the name of our server, but he was fantastic. Super friendly, quick with our order, and even remembered us when we came back the next day (because yes, it was that good). Everything about this place just felt welcoming, great service, delicious food and drinks, and a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger. Definitely one of those spots that turns a casual stop into a highlight of your trip. Can’t wait to go back! ☕🥐

I visited Galleria Iginio Massari Milano at Via Guglielmo Marconi 4, Piazza Armando Diaz in Milan and really enjoyed it. The espresso was strong and smooth. The pastry selection was rich and tempting. The interior is elegant and has that true Italian café feel. Just so you know: around lunch time it gets busy and finding a seat may be hard. If you are short on time just stay at the counter and have your coffee standing. Still worth the stop when you are in the centre of Milan.

A must-visit for dessert lovers. The overall quality is superb, and the tiramisu alone is worth the visit.

Overall appreciation: Café/restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and contemporary style. They offer a nice breads selection, some pastries and pizzas for lunch and dinner. I tried a few items of the breakfast menu and I really enjoyed their brioche with the local custard filling which I recommend ! However, I found the menue a little too expensive … I would recommend CROSTA more for its modern style pizzas and their breads.

Were here to celebrate the birthday of a friend, who organized and ordered all the antipasti, pizzas and prosecco. Everything was good, especially we fell in love with vegetable chips! All the pizzas we tried were good and tasty. Two young waiters (a waitress and a waiter) were super fast, kind and nice.

My favorite café in Milan. Freshly brewed coffee, amazing pastries, and warm hospitality. The smell of freshly baked bread welcomes you inside, and the outdoor seating is perfect for soaking in the sun. A beautiful place to start the day and enjoy a moment of calm with excellent coffee.

So lucky to have this place near my home! I’m not sure what the staff was like for the other very bad reviews, but every time I’m here the staff and service is really good. I don’t speak much Italian and the staff is always helpful and very friendly! The food could be a bit pricey, but hey, where is it not expensive in Milan hahaha😅. The quality and portions are justified for the price in my opinion! Very delicious! And their coffee is one of the best I’ve had in Milan! Cozy atmosphere and delicious fresh bread too! Downgraded Rating 08/2024 Dropped in for breakfast. First of all, the opening hours disclosed online were incorrect. There were many customers like myself expecting the locale to be opened at 9 am. But we all had to wait half an hour because it opens at 9:30 am on weekends. Ample room for improvement on their (sullen) service on the day we visited (24/08/2024). I might revisit for a pizza in the evening...but for breakfast... I doubt the experience and the so-so croissant warranted a second visit. Rating 06/2023 - 5 Stars I was pleasantly surprised by the light and flavorful pizza dough. The majoram flavored genoise is thoroughly enjoyable. Cordial staff. Highly recommended.

I only tried the maritozzo, a pastry typical of Rome. Despite its simplicity of ingredients,it’s difficult to find a decent one outside the capital. The one I tried here was decent but the outside pastry shell was a bit hard to chew. Nothing compares to the ones in Rome…too bad.

It's ok... Nothing special, nothing bad. The brioche wasn't properly risen and the pistachio cream was a little bit too tasteless. The chocolate brioche was pretty good. The cappuccino was ok. Nonetheless still a good option for a quick breakfast.

The shop is an institution among Milan families. Perfect if you want to impress your guests, and of course simply fantastic if you just want to indulge in a sweet happy moment. Enjoy and don't forget to ask for violette (candied flowers) to be added in!

Excellent chocolate but expensive. I think I was talking to the owners of the place. They were so nice. We purchased gifts from there to take back home. We also tried the gelato which was very good.

Terrible customer service! Absolutely mediocre sweets. If you watched a YouTube video on how to make chocolates, you could make them just as well or better than this shop. Highly recommend that you go elsewhere for anything that they sell here!

I think these days you have to make a choice between the old, unfriendly but good quality places like G Galli or the expensive modern corporate-owned places like Marchesi or Cova. I find the former more authentic and interesting.

Giovanni Galli is an institution for the true born Milanese. Christmas means also chocolates and marron glacé from Galli, no way we do without. My Grandfather was their customers and we still are. Chocolates with chestnut cream, dates with marzipan, orangettes, and above all the marron glacé. Moist and perfectly made (be aware: they might not always be perfectly shaped as they are freshly made. Never a disappointment. Anna from Milan (living in London)

Really here is very tasty. Coffee and deserts are very very good. They were freshly. We take 2 cappuccinos and desserts and that coast is just 15€. The staff is very kind. No speaking English but they were really happy to speak with us in English Italians and fingers language 🤣

Wow. Those 3 letters just sum up this place. We were staying in Milan for 3 weeks and after finding this hidden gem we were hooked. The coffee and pastries are delicious, but the thing that makes this place special is the owners and staff. Super friendly, and explained what pastries were what. Prices are really good value for money. Beware! Most places close on Mondays and to our disappointment we missed out on having our morning coffee here the day we were leaving. Thanks for setting the bar so high for sweets now! I doubt anywhere else will ever compare.

Each time I am here, I try a different cake. Everything is delicious. The place is located far away from the center, but this doesn't stop it from being popular. I always have to wait in line and the line is totally worth it!!!!! If you want a low key place which bakes good, come here.

Hands down, this was the best saffron risotto I’ve ever had — absolutely exquisite. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced. I was also impressed by the elegant and classy interior, which added to the overall dining experience. To top it all off, they offered complimentary chocolate, which was a delightful and thoughtful touch.

We came to this café one full hour before the official closing time shown on Google. The bald waiter pointed out the early closing only to us (not to other customers), and even before the time he mentioned had arrived, he brought the bill without us asking, basically rushing us out while we were still enjoying our order. Very disappointing compared to my previous good experiences here.

Just randomly popped in because of its high review. The tiramisu here tastes not bad. However, the service attitude was quite disappointing. The staff just slammed the plate on the table, which made the experience unpleasant. There's no doubt that he has a discrimination on Asian people, as he provided good service to other customers. Day trip to Bergamo, I stopped by to try Stracciatella (chocolate chip gelato). It is a birthday place of stracciatella. I am not big chocolate chip ice cream person. It was creamy and it was good. I wanted wafer cone, it is only come in 3 scoops, 4.50 euro. The wafer cone was okay. The other two favors were pistachios and strawberry. Stracciatella was the best of the three. Is it better than other gelato, not really.

The original stracciatella ice cream. Yes,this is much more delicious than anything sold as stracciatella. I became a fan. 🤩 Also tried polenta e osei which is a local specialty and very tasty. Crispy sweet polenta outside and some kind of cream with almond and apricot jam inside. Don't forget to try coffee with zabaglione as well, I loved it!!

A Perfect Afternoon at La Marianna – Gelato, Aperol, and Sunshine after a walk from the castello di san vigillio. During my recent visit to Bergamo’s charming Città Alta, I had the pleasure of stopping by La Marianna at Largo Colle Aperto, 4. Seated on their spacious outdoor terrace, I indulged in their specialty affogato a delightful combination of rich espresso poured over their signature La Marianna’s original 1961 creation, stracciatella creamy gelato. Complementing this was a refreshing Aperol Spritz, perfectly balanced and served with a smile. The gelato was creamy and rich, with generous chocolate shavings that melted perfectly on the tongue. It was evident that high-quality ingredients were used, making it one of the best I’ve tasted. The ambiance was serene, with the sun casting a gentle glow and the world leisurely passing by. It’s no wonder La Marianna is renowned not only for inventing the iconic stracciatella gelato in 1961 but also for providing such memorable experiences.  If you find yourself in Bergamo, I highly recommend taking a moment to relax at La Marianna. Whether you’re a gelato enthusiast or simply seeking a tranquil spot to unwind, this establishment offers both history and hospitality in equal measure. 

Gelato is good however 3 scopes in the cup is similar size of 1 scoop with cone.

After years abroad, I finally had a cappuccino worthy of the name. Perfectly balanced coffee and milk, creamy foam, and that unmistakable Italian aroma. One sip and I felt like I was truly home again.

Imposible to drink the smoothie, it was full of seeds. I asked for extra blend but they bring another one with same problem. The straw got stuck all the time. Besides that, the staff is nice and the decor is pretty but woman’s bathroom door doesn’t close.

I visited the well-known Gelateria eager to try their famous treats, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. I’ve had better stracciatella gelato elsewhere, and the chocolate in theirs was disappointing — it didn't melt and was too tough to enjoy properly.

Though the desserts were fresh and tasted very good, they were all miniature in size and EXTREMELY OVERPRICED if we dine in. The dine in prices for small puff pastry was €10, a small fruit tart was €25 and so on. We didn’t see the other reviews (that said takeout is usually affordable) before we sat down to eat 😏

The gelato here is quite good, which is the main reason this isn’t a 1-star review. Unfortunately, the experience overall was disappointing. We visited with our children and found the staff to be noticeably unwelcoming and not kid-friendly, which made us feel uncomfortable throughout the visit. It’s a beautiful spot with potential, but the lack of warmth from the service really took away from the experience. Great gelato, but not somewhere I’d return with family.

Five stars for the beauty of the place and the atmosphere that you can observe of clients employing the place, waitresses rushing to bring the food, barmen to make coffees. Service good. Technically they did all correct but emotionally I had the feeling to be like “ faster to order,next one”. It’s a terrible feeling considering the price you are paying. Moreover, we asked for menu, but the waitress wanted to show her knowledge of knowing the Menü and she told us everything. Which is good. Then we asked the wine list and once agin she started to mention wines. Then I expressed what taste I would like that the wine has and the waitress suggested one. After that I told her I don’t know this one. How much is per glass. The answer was six euros. And she brought to taste it a little bit. Pasta was delicious. So the service Is professional. They also offer my some home made chips for the waiting time and two mini bruschettas. I didn’t try it. Didn’t have time. Why two starts. Because the wine costed ten euros in the bill. Bad communication or to get money from the client?!-.- not a problem to pay. The principle of the lie. Good service.

Princi Bakery is an absolute delight! The coffee is rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed — easily one of the best I’ve had. Their croissants are heavenly: buttery, flaky, and fresh out of the oven, making each bite a treat. Beyond that, the entire bakery selection is top-notch, from pastries to breads, all bursting with flavor and quality. The ambience is warm and inviting, and the service is always friendly and efficient. A perfect spot whether you want a quick coffee or to indulge in delicious bakery goodies. Highly recommended!

In terms of food, they had savory and sweet bakery items that were decent but not great. They also had some cold and hot food options like lasagne. Outside and indoor seating. Pricing is as expected for central Milan. Service was quick. Toilet available but unclean and no toilet roll despite only being before 2pm still.

Pne pf the best croissants I’ve ever eaten. Not expensive at all and it tastes like heaven. We ate a very sugary ones but you also can have a normal croissants. I reccomend any of them that has pistaccio.

A lovely spot for breakfast/lunch with freshly baked goods. Highly recommended: the Verdure Pizza and Focaccia Verdure - both are full of flavor. The staff is friendly and speaks English, and you can choose between indoor and outdoor seating.

For me, a must-visit in Milan. Absolutely fabulous treats – everything is delicious. When the weather is dry, you can sit outside on a little side street and watch the hustle and bustle. My recommendation: start with a 'Cornetto e Nutella' and a coffee of your choice, and enjoy watching Milan come to life in the morning.

Little slice of Heaven in Milan. Pillows of deliciousness, four cheese my favorite, but they're all delicious. Fast service at the counter, go outside to eat, but don't go to far because you'll be going back.

This is bakery heaven! Overwhelming choices to pick from and everything looks delicious! Good cafe vibe as well and if you choose the sit outside, you get to enjoy the surroundings as well! Only downside is that this places gets really packed if you go later so be prepared to queue.

Impeccable service, and the food? Always a ten. Named after Sant Ambroeus — that’s how Milan lovingly calls Saint Ambrose, its patron and protector. This place captures his spirit — proud, timeless, and deeply Milanese.❤️🇮🇹

A classic institution in Milan. I’ve wanted to try this place for very long, and finally took the chance when in Milano. The service, amtmosphere and vibes were giving old world elegance. Food was all very neat, plated elegantly, but had quite subtle tastes. Quite expensive on the other hand, for such simple dishes. Our favourite was the red prawn pasta, so fresh and well balanced. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for an elegant cafè experience in Milan, but perhaps for a gastronomical one.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Milan, I simply can't resist stopping by every time I'm in town. Their signature dish—the panettone french toast—is a true masterpiece. Every bite comes together in perfect harmony, making it an absolutely irresistible and delicious treat. Truly, a breakfast experience like no other!

It’s classic and classy. Nothing mind-blowing but safe value. Good to go with a group but make sure to book beforehand of course. I had the linguine al lemone e gambero rosso. Their cocktails are top notch. Had a very good boulevardier.

The Tiramisu is a customized version that's very different from the standard recipe. Still good, but not what I expected. Atmosphere very relaxing and elegant. Friendly staff.

Excellent service, our waitress was so nice. Overall we thought the menu had some excellent dishes, some just fine. The spicy pasta was the best. This is definitely one of the better, creative restaurants in Milan. The sommelier is also excellent.

Adorable local pastry shop with good strong coffee. Plenty of seating inside and a small outdoor space. We came around 8:30 on a Thursday and the shop was packed with people until 10 am. Brunch menu starts at 9 am. This is clearly a local favorite with parents stopping in after dropping kids off at school, or folks on their way to work. Be prepared to wait, but it is worth it if you have the time. We loved their coffee menu and the eggs on my avocado toast were perfectly cooked.

We came here for breakfast with the family. We had to wait a bit for a table for four, and then again for our order, but it was acceptable. We had cappuccinos and maritozzi with cream and pistachio cream, plus two savory maritozzi with cream cheese, avocado, and ham. The pastries were amazing — soft and generously filled. Apart from the slightly longer wait, everything was great, and the atmosphere was lovely.

We have been here twice and both visits were great! We liked everything: bakery, atmosphere and especially the cappuccino (it was so delicious!!!!). I really advise this place.

Superb pasticceria! I had savory maritozzo with salmon, three mignons, fresh orange juice and a cup of caffe macchiato. Maritozzo was just to my liking with its not-too-fluffy texture (but not dry) and a hint of sweetness without being too yeasty. Three mignons that I had - mini tiramisu, lemon meringue tart and coconut chocolate tart were also good. I could sense all the ingredients in them since they did not have strong flavor which is a good thing.Orange juice was freshly made and coffee was pretty decent. Staff looked very busy but they were very friendly and nice to all of their guests! I loved the decor, too:)

Went here to have breakfast with friends, the place is really nice and clean and there’s a lot of choice both of bread and pastries. I got the croissant tradition, it was less buttery than the actual French croissants, but it was still nice. A good place where you can enjoy French pastries and a good Italian coffee! The atmosphere was nice as well, they played a lot of French music which felt so fitting

The atmosphere is charming and relaxed, making it a lovely place to start the day. Prices are affordable, and the quality is great. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. After many visits, it felt like a familiar corner in the city. Highly recommended for breakfast lovers or anyone who appreciates a good French-style café vibe in Milan.

I stayed nearby and came here for my early morning caffeine dose. The service is quick and simple: you order at the counter and either wait there or go back to your table. My large cafe latte was ready in a split of a minute and it tasted just as balanced and rounded as I had hoped. (If you ARE into coffee, you know the difference between the taste of coffee in two different places can be huge). I loved the vibe, the music (modern French mostly) and the happy faces around me chewing their croissants and pains au chocolat.

Charming French-style bakery tucked away on a quiet street corner near Porta Venezia. I first stopped by for takeaway last year and tried one of their cream-filled croissants, which come in many different flavours. On my next visit, this May I stayed for lunch and tried their delicious croque monsieur followed by a madeleine and a perfectly smooth crème brulée, all paired with a well-made cappuccino. It’s a lovely spot for a relaxed treat or a casual lunch, with quality pastries that bring a little Parisian flair to Milan. Don’t expect to see many locals though—it seems to be frequented by informed tourists or digital nomads, at least during the week.

One of the best pastry shops in Milano and definitely one of my faves. Their sweet treats are to die for and the breads are just as good. Prices are a bit on the higher end (€8 for two croissants and another sweet pastry) but nonetheless worth it. Definitely a must try for patisserie lovers!

I loved the variety of their Mignon. They had almost everything, and it was so hard to choose only a few out of them. I picked Cannolo Siciliano, Yuzu, Cubo Tartufino, Bigné Con Crema Cioccolato, Tiramisù. Honestly, the taste was not as great as the looks. Great setting to try out variant desserts, but it wasn't my type.

The pastries were excellent, we went there for our beautiful sunday morning breakfast. But what would you expect from a place that has awesome pastries, there is always a long line of queue, and the tables are too small for us who want to try a lot of things. The staff are nice, and acommodating eventho it is super full. Really recommended especially for the Maritozzo Pistachio, but we suggest you to come as early as possible or do take away.

I came here for a quick snack, got 3 things including the pistachio cream croissant. As a whole I thought the cream was pretty good but there was too much bread and not enough cream in all 3 of the things I tried. Still not bad.

Great place for a little break and drink some coffee. Amazing pastry with extremly high quality sweets. We always order from this place the chocolate cake. Incredible flavour and care for their craft. This place got reccomended to me by close friends and has become a point of reference.

We we're Here with a group of 10 people and sat Outside. It was OK, th Service was quite nice and fast. We ordered the pistacchio Croissants and different coffees. We got all we wanted and also quite fast for a group. The price is a Bit high but it's ok.

it's not very full, yet we wait more than 30 minutes for two coffees. You can't order inside if you are sitting on a table, so there are 20 minutes waiting to get your order and another 30 to bring it to you eventually

Amazing coffee! Place is crowded on weekends and there’s not that much space so don’t expect to find a table that easily if you’re 3-4 people. Corbetta was good but not enough crema for me. The buns look fantastic and I’ll make sure to try next time. Price is more than ok for the quality!

Never ate anything from here, only drank the coffee. Definitely is very unique and worth the price. The only negative part isn't to do with the coffee or staff, but the people ( especailly La Moda and influencer wannabes wearing Salomon trekking shoes ) who decide to draw out their stay by endless scrolling on instagram after finishing their coffee. Drink your coffee, eat your cake and leave to allow other people sit down and enjoy. Interior is designed nicely and can be appreciated at the most when there isn't a boatload of people inside. Even I used to live in Rome and south Italy, it’s so hard to find a nice speciality coffee shop in Italy, compared to the other European countries… But oooops, I was so surprised by their iced latte. And the pain au chocolat was so crispy and tasty, literally made my day 🥰

Great coffee, though I went for a green tea this time, really nice and refreshing. The atmosphere is cozy, maybe a bit crowded, but that’s usually a good sign. We also had chocolate and vanilla croissants, both delicious. Overall, a lovely experience and definitely worth stopping by.

Their cinnamon roll will absolutely blow your mind ,a must-try! 🥐✨ All the pastries are super fresh and delicious, and the coffee ☕️tastes amazing. The only downside 👎🏻 is that the place is small, so there can sometimes be a long line and a bit of waiting time.

It lives up to its reputation! And definitely not just an Instagram trend. The egg and cheese is out of this world. Also impossible to eat without making a mess and it’s part of the relish. Cappuccino was very very good and so was the cardamom bun. I must say I like the Scandinavian style cardamom buns better, which is sweeter and with a fluffier dough. But this one has a nice special caramely crust. Staff were very nice. I went there a bit before 11am on a Wednesday and it was full. Had to wait 2-3 minutes to get a table.

This place is great for their pastries and food. It is a specialty coffee shop but I was surprised that they have not many varieties of coffee beans on the bar. They are serving commercial beans if you want a specialty beans then it is an add on. The specialty beans they use is Brazilian beans and it was decent but more of a dark roast. Staff are friendly and the place has good vibes.

Food is delicious. The staff is very impatient. In front of me in the queue was a women asking a loooot of questions before she could finally decide what to order and the staff answered all questions thoroughly. Downside was a lot of Chinese taking loads of pictures not only of their platea but of the whole café and the outside where I was sitting which I found very disturbing.

The atmosphere was nice, but the pricing was truly baffling. A glass of prosecco for €7 felt reasonable, but a glass of tomato juice for €12?! Absolutely absurd. I’m all for paying a bit extra for quality, but this felt like an unnecessary markup. It left a sour note on an otherwise decent experience.

Horrible experience at the Osteria Pandenus. We sat outside, the waiter brought the menu and said that we could only order drinks, and that we had to order food ourselves inside. We were confused when we saw that he took the order and brought the ordered food to other guests sitting outside. The tea he brought was absolutely colorless and tasteless. My husband ordered a double espresso, which is listed as a separate drink on the menu and the price was lower than two separate espressos. However, the waiter charged us two separate espressos. He was extremely unhappy that we complained about this, but he refunded the money. We also later saw that prosecco was charged 9 euros per glass, although the price on the menu is 7 euros. When we asked why the prices were different, he rudely replied that this was the evening price (we were there at 16:30). We said that he didn't inform us about this (of course, we understand that he was lying), then he got angry and very rudely refunded us the difference in price.

Very nice looking place, but not very good food and ok service. The Risotto was very bland and tasteless, schnitzel was ok, and the lamb with the lemon sauce was basically a pool of sauce with some meat in it.

You read the reviews and you think: “Can it be that bad?”. You leave thinking: “Why did anyone give more than one star?”. They managed to get our order wrong and their coffee was unpleasantly sour and overly roasted. When we mentioned the order was wrong, the waitress seemed to be annoyed by our mere existence. The only time the waitresses were efficient were when they took our money to pay the bill. I recommend everyone to stay away.

I asked to change the coffee with soy milk because the soy was spoiled, and they charged me for both that coffee and the next one. They even charged me for a glass of water for my baby. The €4 focaccia is tiny. Expensive and unfriendly service, not recommended.

I went to this place with my family twice, and it was very different the two times. The first time was actually quite nice. We had pancakes and coffee. The pancakes were a bit stale, but good nonetheless. However the waiter couldn’t understand my coffee order. I ordered an iced cappuccino with oat milk as I cannot have normal milk, but when it came I could easily taste that it was regular cows milk, even when they repeated the order saying it’s “avena” (oat). However the service was fast and the restaurant seemed cozy. With that said….the second time we went there we were met with horrible service. To get the menus we asked two different waiters multiple times, and after about 15 minutes we got the menus. We ordered everything relatively fast as we kind of knew what we wanted to get, and the waitress took the order fast too. Then…15 minutes past, no coffee…20 minutes, finally get the coffee…30 minutes, food still isn’t here, so we ask the waitress if our food is on the way…then after another while we ask a different waiter to check on our food as we didn’t get anything special..after a few minutes this new waiter brings our food and it’s cold. It really seems like it’s been sitting for 30 minutes just chilling, cause the eggs were rubbery, the bread was stale, everything was cold and just unappetizing. Also seemed like that first waitress just had some form of prejudice against us, she was very slow (only for us, other tables that came later were being served by the same waitress and even the same dishes much earlier) ignored us a few times and at the end it wasn’t even her serving us. So a total of almost an hour of waiting for cold eggs. I would give it 1 star but our first experience was okay, thus the 2. Oh yeah also as we were so hungry when waiting, so we ordered the pastries, similar to other reviews they tasted, well, not so fresh, most likely day old. Edible nonetheless. So overall, horrible service, but just by that one waitress who served us, everyone else is average. Food is not the best but okay if you really need some place to eat. Atmosphere is cozy and aesthetically pleasing with a vintage feel. Wouldn’t go back there after the last time.

We adored this place. We had a languid morning then wandered off for coffee at Taveggia just down the road. What a gorgeous and classy place! Just beautifully fitted out. They served us a superb Expresso here. Lovely little biscuits too. Gorgeous soft music playing. Nice waiter too. Really good classy menu. Limited selection of great breakfast and lunch dishes but they’re clearly all good. This was a lovely experience. It’s superior olde world charm without excessive cost. Highly recommended.

the pastries options are great, all seems good, i chose maritozzo and the one with pistacchio. the maritozzo is soft and so far the best i’ve ever had in Italy. they have parking options but we came by bus because it’s near the public transportation.

I was expecting a world-class pastry experience but instead I got soggy tart crusts and very underwhelming textures and flavors. I did like the hazelnut maritozzo but I wouldn’t come back for it.

My husband, baby and myself had the most exquisite experience at Marchesi on a Sunday morning. I can see people giving one star reviews to this place - don’t listen to them. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind place that is sustaining the traditional values: true service, kindness, beauty. They serve their food and coffee in SILVERWARE; they play CHET BAKER from the speakers; napkins are linen and cotton; it’s the kind of service and attention to beauty that was characteristic for the past era. Nowadays, it’s plastic cups, hipster culture, and modern aesthetics - nothing wrong with them, but Marchesi stands out by doing things the old way. We saw men in suits there, sipping a cappuccino and reading a newspaper. Dress nicely and go this place on a Sunday morning. Feel like a member of the elite. Enjoy the silverware and the treccia di frutti. We will be coming back for sure! Thank you to the kindest ladies serving us at Marchesi today.

I can not imagine a better to go coffee experience. The barista was a master of his craft. Well dressed and efficient. The cakes and pastries are incredible. I bought five pastries and they packed them up in a beautiful box and they were delicious. There is nowhere to sit which is fine, people were coming and going quickly to grab a pastry and espresso.

I got a tiramisu here. It’s not bad but for 15 euros it’s not worth it especially considering that good tiramisu is all over the city for much cheaper.

Wonderful place to eat something sweet and delicious, I ate some really good cookies with chocolate on top of them, and I tried the panettone with a delicious french chocolate inside of it. The service was very pleasant!

Fantastic café with a great variety of delicious options, but extremely slow and unfriendly service! We stumbled upon this café when our train was cancelled and had 40 minutes to spare. It’s conveniently located only 190 meters from the train station, making it a good spot for a quick stop before heading to Milan. While we enjoyed a refreshing Mango Mojito, a Hugo, and a rich Marocchino for just 22E, the service left much to be desired. One of the staff members in particular was notably unfriendly, which really detracted from the overall experience, while taking our order and bringing us our drinks. She was also rude when I wanted to pay and did not know where and how. Because of this, I wouldn’t return, but if you’re focused on the food and atmosphere, it might still be worth a visit.

Excellent pistachio mousse cake.. So good that I tried also the pistachio gelato.. Also excellent, and only 2.50 a small cup (enough for an occasional taster)... On the other hand, espresso was (just) good... Personnel was engaging, but service was a little slow considering that, at the moment, I was the only one serving dessert, everyone else was on pranzo..

It's OK. A few years ago all the food portions were bigger. For example pancakes were 2 times bigger, less expensive and more soft (now they are very stiff and they taste like nothing). Everything is way too expensive and the service, in busy days, it's extremely slow. I had yo wait a hour 30 to get 1 drink. I was just wondering why would they only put 1 waitress on a busy day? The food is so expensive so I wonder why they can't hire more people for serving.. service would be a lot faster. Sweets are delicious, but again portions are very little and the price is set too high up. Drinks and salt foods are delicious overall. It became a disappointment for the service, price and portions.

Perfect position for exploring Bergamo city and its valleys, this recently built structure not far from the station offers Gorgeous cleanliness with all modern conveniences.

Hands down the BEST gluten free ive ever had in my life. And I try alot of gluten free eatiers. The freshly baked croissants were unreal and the pistachio one will forever be engraved in my mind. Nice gluten free bakery. There are several options for food. Something here gave my family some indigestion. Our guess is the gum they use in their mixes, but the flavor was ok. The server was very helpful and kind. The place is clean. Overall, a nice oasis in a land that gluten free eating can be very hard to do well. Give them a try!

We were fortunate to stop by Glu Free whilst in Milan and what an amazing treat for the coeliacs. We did both sweet (cannoli’s) and savoury (arancini’s) and everything was so well made and flavours absolutely on point. Highly recommended.

I have searched the world - literally - to find the quintessential gluten free croissant. Six bakeries in Australia - Melbourne Sydney Canberra and Adelaide. Four bakeries in Paris. I thought if the French can’t make good GF croissant nobody can BUT I was wrong. Glufree make flaky, non greasy, absolutely delicious croissant. Before I was diagnosed as celiac I didn’t even eat croissant often as the butter and associated calories curbed my consumption. You’ll be pleased to know Glufree croissants don’t have butter. I don’t know the secret to their recipe but they take two days to make. For the customer time well spent. If they can produce croissant imagine how delicious all their other GF products are!

The best gluten free food we have had whilst we have been here! The food is amazing, I had to have 2 pizza slices as they were so good! It's a shame we can't get food like this in the UK. The bread loaves looked amazing but we were on our way to the airport so couldn't get one. I would definitely recommend a trip here if you are in milan and after gluten free baked goodies.

In the last 15 years the quality of the ingredients has remained the best and it shows in the end products...while so many others have sacrificed those basics. I could have given 5 stars but as reported by other customers the service although very professional lacks sympathy...except for the long time customers. Keep up the good work!!!

A variety of bakery offerings, from croissants, to Roma pizza to cookies. I had a Palmier and chocolate cookies and if the rest of the pastries are as high quality as the giant Palmier thete is no such thing as a bad selection. I will return to try the bread and pasta offerings.

Visited the popular @berettailfornaio on a beautiful Sunday morning! I liked the apple one because the apples tasted fresh and it was not too sweet at all despite the looks. Focaccia would’ve been better if it could be heated before I got it to go. By the time I sat down to eat it, it was already cold and too oily.

This place is amazing!!! The focaccia and pizza are great. Although we didn’t try any of the bread or pasticcini, they all looked really good. My only gripes with this place were that it was packed, and there wasn’t much room to move around. And also there’s no place to sit right outside the place. But if you’re coming here just to grab some food and walk around Como, then it works perfectly fine.

This was a nice place for lunch. They had a wide variety of pizzas available by the slice plus a range of salads. They do coffee, both hot and cold varieties. We had both pizza slices and tuna salads. Service was quick and efficient. Not many places to sit inside but more outside. Prices are about average for Milan.

Probably one of the best pizza I’ve had in my life. Airy, crusty not too oily… a real dream with salami picante. The staff isn’t the friendliest but honestly given the taste of this focaccia they could even insult my whole family and spit on my shoes I wouldnt care and would still be back just to have one more slice. I visited this place at 4pm. The stuff was so friendly , portions were amazing and big. There was many different pastries and drinks. I really enjoyed during my time there. I will definitely visit again next time.

I tried several different mini traditional Italian pastries here and they were all delicious. It is not too expensive but I wish they had a bigger version of some of them as they just lovely. The service was good and the lady who served me was nice.

Discovered this cafe by chance and wow, what a find. Its decor is lovely, the menu is interesting and the prices are reasonable. Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice is rare for Milano, and was tasty. Service was good. Cakes were a bit too dry, the only negative. Coffee was great. Highly recommend

Was waiting nearby for the bus to the outlet mall and found this lovely cafe that opens early for breakfast. Pastries are good and so are the drinks. Huge cafe with lots of seating on the ground floor and also one level up. There’s also some tables in the basement where the toilets are. Seems popular with the locals too.

We bought a Colomba, and it was absolutely spectacular. The staff was incredibly helpful, providing excellent advice and friendly service. We truly appreciated their attention to detail and professionalism. Highly recommended!

Desserts were amazing .. service was just okay... coffee came way after the food and was cold by the time it reached my table. Service was bizarre and disorganized. It seemed like no one wanted to sell you anything and I am surprised anything made it to my table at all but the desserts were well done.
