My wife and I stopped by yesterday, as we had to try some of their amazing looking treats. We were so glad we did - delicious. This place only has limited seating inside, but there are places outside to sit on a ledge to share a treat...or one for each. Without a doubt, their cinnamon rolls are worth the trip - amazing. We tried another treat (olive oil cake) and it was also delicious...and like a small piece of art. The service was great and the decor was definitely next level. I highly recommend this place for a treat. Thanks.

This cafe has a very very nice atmosphere and was delicious! I had the salted caramel cheesecake and it was absolutely amazing- and my cafe latte was very very nice, with a smooth creamy flavor that was lovely. The whole cafe has a beautiful interior design, very pretty decorations, a friendly staff, and is in a great location! I was very happy to find this cafe!

What a great little pastry shop. Only 3 tables available inside, no outside seating. Located near the Croatian National Theater. If I hadn't been looking for it specifically, I would have just passed by it. I saw a couple of people sitting inside through a closed door and wasn'teven sure if the place was open. You cannot see the desserts from the window, such a shame! Quite a contrast to hundreds of ice cream shops downtown where the desserts are on display inviting you to buy something. Apparently a lot of people order take out. Went in on a weekday, 1 hour before closing so they only had 3 types of cake available, but at least you know they're fresh. And delicious.

Wonderful cakes Just go with what you like i especially enjoyed the almond creamy part of the cake. A bit expensive for special cakes its okay tho. Worth a visit

The lemon cake was incredible, not too sweet and the almond coating worked so well with the flavours! It was so difficult choosing what to have as the cakes looked amazing!!

That was the most unexpected and delicious treat we bought in Split! I googled pastry shops in the evening and found this place. We came in 7 minutes before they were closing, chose 3 cakes from the leftovers and ordered some tea to go. The worker was very kind and open, the cakes were amazing, fresh, tasty and made from high-quality ingredients, the herb tea was something out of this world. We tried to find some similar tea online - couldn't find any :(

We've visited here 3 times over the last week as the food and coffee has been excellent. The coffee is nutty and strong and some of the best we'd tried whilst in Croatia. We tried the strudel twice it was so good, the pastry snail and also had a tuna sandwich plus a ham & cheese roll. The bakery products are delicious so fresh and full of flavour. Such a reasonable price as well especially as it's just a stones throw from the harbour. Highly recommend

This bakery is a must visit place if you are in Cavtat, the food is always fresh and very tasty, with a very wide selection of food. There's both seating indoors and outdoors, with plenty of drink (coffee) and pastry options. The donuts were filling and fresh.

A drink was a drink, so it was what it was, but if you're looking for somewhere with a bit of something... this isn't your place.

Popped in here for a coffee. Also went across the street to their hole in the wall. Staff were friendly enough and efficient. They have a wide range of drinks and pastries. These were very good overall. We had the cherry slice which is a Croatian classic. Really enjoyed this and the pastry was very light - filling not too sweet. Well worth a visit for a quick a value bite.

Good cafe in Split, located at a very nice location, nice view. The food is just okay, not that bad but I like the long coffee that they serve, quite good. The price is reasonable and the service is quite fast. The staff is also okay. Some might not agree but the coffee is actually quite good. There’s toilet available too.

Horrible service, ice cream has a huge chuck of ice inside, when I asked the staff about it she just said ‘’it’s just ice, it’s nothing’, no apologies, no exchange, ended up paying 1/3 of my ice cream for big chuck of ice. The drinks also definitely don’t worth the price they charged.

Supertasty cakes with local ingredients. It's hard for me to point out the favorites - let's say they are Onica (with hazelnuts, orange, apple, fig, wine and bay leaf), Limun (lemon shaped cake) and Carob cake with orange. Honorable place goes to Plivači ('Swimmers'), great pastries with orange and hazelnut. ❤😊 Be sure to visit if you are on the island.

This mlinar is a cultural phenomenon, the cheesy hotdog is an absolute treat, the conflicting tastes clash perfectly in your mouth, as said in mlinars website "Hot dog, mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup, topped with melted semihard cheese, come together perfectly in this delicious pastry. An excellent choice for a snack!" An excellent choice for a snack indeed! The thoughtful twist of adding a hot dog, mayonnaise mustard and ketchup to an already delicious pastry is simply incredible. Whoever came up with the recipie for the cheesy hotdog is deserving of a Nobel peace prize. The amount of conflicts that could be solved with this €3.70 treat is unfathomable. Picture this scene, you are a tourist from Ireland, desperately scouring the streets of Dubrovnik for a decent lunch that you won't need to remortgage your house for, walking down the main street in the old city then you stumble across it, described by an English tourist as a fake Gregg's probably worse, oh how wrong they were. You walk in, fully expecting awfulness, your expectations low as ever, you queue in the unusually long line, waiting for what you expect will be subpar, as you get to the front you eye up a sandwich, only to change your mind at the last moment, you decide to get a cheesy hotdog, little did you know how much this decision would change the course of your life, as soon as you bite into your newly purchased cheesy hotdog your expectations absolutely fly through the roof, to the moon! To mars! To the sun! To the edge of the galaxy! It just absolutely melts in your mouth complete and utter awesomeness. Getting bored now, going to get another cheesy hotdog, mlinar please open some in Ireland, the cheesey hotdogs are legendary, awesome, brilliant, tasty, and Wunderbar. Goodbye!

Don't expect very good options, they do the job, but it's far from very good. I've tried both the apple strudel and the apricot croissant and neither of them were very good. On a plus side, this store is bigger and has more selection.

Holy Burek had a crazy snaking queue. So we went to Mlinar instead 30m away for the burek. Tried potato, cheese n spinach ones. They were just as good to me, a tourist, as Holy Burek’s which we tried the day before

Very busy location and most people are quite rude and shove past you. This is not the business fault tho. Staff was clearly under pressure but remained on top of the crowd. The pastries I tried were lovely, they are handed over warm which is also a plus.

Local traditional Croatian Bakery! Everything made here is incredible! Perfect spot for breakfast to try some different Croatian pastries and everything is made fresh that same morning. We were there around Easter and they even had Easter buns, which were such a treat to try. Highly recommend checking this place out while in Split!

One thing I noticed throughout our travels through the Balkans is, that you can find amazing bakeries in almost every city. You never can go wrong with a coffee and a piece of delicious pastry, right? We got something sweet and savoury there: cinnamon buns and a pastry with some pesto filling inside. Both were fresh and really tasty, and we can totally understand, why there's a waiting line at this bakery so often!☺️

We were delighted to see a"gluten free" bakery but we're very disappointed when we arrived. There was only gluten free bread available and one pizza. Then we were told the food was not safe for celiacs as the chef didn't use clean gloves/tools when cooking!? I asked what the pint of lifting gluten free food was if they didn't care about allergens.. When asked on their cross contamination/allergy policy the staff were extremely rude and dismissive. I was very disappointed and will not be running.

When i jist entered the zadar old city i found hhis place and tried a piece of pizza and this tarte filled with cheese. I will not describe it as the best as i had better but for the price of t was worth it. For a quick snack not more that 3€ its the place to go. The lady was super nice as well

The best Börek in Zadar for only 1,50€! Get the SMALL Börek either with meat or spinach and cheese or just both of them! I tried three different stores in Zadar and this one takes the crown. The small ones are warm and fresh out of the oven. The baked goods or the local cake is also very good

Good little bakery near our Airbnb. We had a ham & cheese sandwich, a cheese burek, some sort of pizza roll, and a chocolate croissant- all for about 10 euros which is very affordable, especially in Dubrovnik. However, the croissant was horrible, hardly any chocolate and taste was just awful; not sure how it’s possible to ruin a croissant but worse one I’ve ever had-don’t order this here. Everything else was ok, not the best but not the worst- for price/place it’s ok. Cheese burek was huge! A nice Asian lady took our order and she was helpful, owners were ok-not friendly, not mean.

We went twice and one lady was very nice and the the other time the service was horrible. Straight up lied to us and said we are closing soon even thought they are supposedly open until 11pm? Then didn’t let the other lady serve us, continuously slamming the counter at us, then was extremely rude and yelled goodbye at us when we asked for the receipt that she had scrunched up in her hands. The food was not bad itself, but was completely disregarded due to the horrible service. Not sure if she was having a bad day or just hated foreigners. Extremely impolite.

Babic Bakery, right outside Pile Gate, was a reliable spot for quick bites during our Dubrovnik trip. We visited twice and everything we tried was tasty and filling — pizzas, spinach and cheese rolls, croissants, and even the chicken roll for around €5.5 were all fresh and satisfying. The staff was friendly and service was fast, which is perfect for a takeaway stop. The only minor letdown was the small chocolate donut for €0.50, which wasn’t great. Otherwise, everything else was delicious and we’d definitely recommend stopping by for a quick bite.

The bakery is right outside the Ploce gate. We were walking back to the old city from St. Jacob's (Jakov) Beach and needed a quick bite. Got a slice of Margherita and pepperoni pizza and it was alright. Did the job, nothing outstanding but not poor either.

I don't understand why this bakery doesn't have high reviews. I tried chocolate croissant many many times while I was staying in Dubrovnik. The price is affordable and the croissant was fresh and delicious. You can get a decent bread for your breakfast.

Perfect option for a quick, casual lunch while at the nearby beach. Everything is well seasoned and is just the right amount of food, with an abundance of protein. My wife normally wants variety but demanded we go back four times during our vacation. Everything we tried was great, but the chicken kebab was the best in Dubrovnik, followed closely by the chicken salad for a lighter meal.

My girlfriend and I found this place near our B&B. We decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed! There we met Milos: a delightful, helpful and very knowledgeable person. We immediately put our trust in him and he introduced us to some excellent local dishes and combinations, all at a very affordable price and in generous portions. Finally, we recommend you do as we did: tell him what you prefer and he won't disappoint you!

It is probably the best bakery shop in the town. The staff working here are astonishing and very helpful and kind. The prices are moderate. Outside is a parking space for 6-7 cars. Besides regular bakery offer, here you may find cookies, sandwiches and pizzas and you may also order a cake or pie. Nice job

Fresh warm bread and buns (delicious), pastrtries (decent), pies (tried soparnik - was OK) and ice-cream (tried chocolate, was good). Ladies working there are really fast, so know what you want to buy (we were too slow and therefore got 3 receipts for our order). Would recommend.

Very quick service, delicious pastry

Had the cheese burek, the pistachio croissant and this little bun with the tomato filling. The croissants are really, really fantastic. Extremely fluffy and crispy with a thick & sweet pistachio sauce. MUST TRY. Please, if you're in the area for oysters go get the croissant. And they only take cash.

The baked goods were really tasty! We got the burrito looking thing in chicken and ham. They were warm and so good! We also got a cheese burek and it was nothing to write home about- kind of bland. Then we got a chocolate croissant that was delicious and a chocolate rectangle pastry that was pretty good. Everything in total was 15 euros. Cash only. The service was not good and the lady working behind the counter wasn’t friendly.

The woman behind the counter was extremely rude. You had to be very quick to decide what you wanted or else she went to the next person in line. After deciding what I wanted, she put it on the counter and walks over to the register, she doesn't say much to you, not even a thank you. I came back and ask if there are any napkins, she gave me a stern "NO"

If you wanna grab a quick snack then this is the best . You can get croissants, bread and cakes as well. When I was in Zadar this was my go to place to get croissants and breads. I would recommend to go early in the morning to get a fresh bite of croissants . And during peak hours they make fresh bread and croissants as well .

Poorly trained staff and a food hygiene incident waiting to happen. Be better. Sunday afternoon. I popped in here as I thought I'd found an actual vegetarian sandwich. The Mexican wrap in the cabinet.... The lady advised it was vegetarian. Immediately on purchase I found not only does it contain chicken, but was also kept at ambient temperature and had been all day! Alongside the tuna ones! ☣️ When I tried to explain the risk of this, and why it meant I was not going to eat this the staff were confused and also unable to refund me seconds after I'd purchased it because 'I paid on card!'. That's entirely rubbish as there's no way a POS till system would only allow cash refunds! I tried to explain that contactless still supports refunds and asked for a different item as a replacement but the staff member felt fearful of being empowered enough to do that! Ridiculous that staff cannot have the autonomy to replace unsafe or sub quality products for customers due to lack of training and apparently lack of basic safety in food handling. Selling these meat wraps at warmer than room temperature is a public health risk and they need reporting up the local authority. And the staff need to be trained in using the till system. Avoid this place. Advice to management; train your staff, allow them to correct customer complaints and ensure they understand safe food practices followed. Not good at all. Be better.

I’ve never been treated this way in any place around the world. The seller a woman arround 45 with blue eyes who didn’t want to give me her name, was super rude and impolite by answering with 0 consideration and a lot of hate. When I asked for a glass of water she simply said no, and when i confronted her she started saying that this the policy of Mlinar etc anyways she was super rude and 0 consideration. Even in big palace in Paris if you ask for a glass of water they would give you that. Worst place in the world !

The beef borek was crunchy and warm, but the meat inside was too chewy, overall not a great choice. Pick another bakery to try borek.
